The following is a presentation of iHeartRadio Sports. This is
high School Basketball on ninety four Country WKKJ. Today's game
is presented by accurate Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing. Let's head
court side for today's countdown to tip off.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Here's Lou and Chris Postage. Hello and welcome to Adena
High School for tonight's SBC Conference matchup. Here on ninety
four Country WKKJ, we have the home team, the Adena Warriors,
facing off against the Pink Valley Bearcats. I'm Chris Postage

(00:40):
joined alongside right now Trey Postage. Coach Slop Postage is
being honored right now in the gymnasium. But Trey, it's
good to be here with you right now. Yeah, it's
nice to be back. That is feeling a little bit better,
so he's able to be back on the radio. But
he is being honored with the Adena teams, the nineteen seventy,
nineteen seventy six, two thousand and six in the fujenty

(01:01):
twenty one a Dena Warrior teams ceremonies starting right now.
Looking at tonight's matchup, we've got a Dina coming in
off two conference losses after they started out with wins
over Huntington and New Pope Christian and Paint Valley. They're
oh to five on the season, oh to three and
conference play. They're head coach Marcus coleman first year at

(01:23):
the Helm for him, offensively a dina averaging fifty one
point oh points per game and for giving up forty
nine Paint Valley fifty points per game and giving up
seventy uh So Paint Valley a team able to score
a lot of points a lot of times, they've got

(01:44):
players in double figures, but they've given up a lot
of points this year. Yeah, if you give up seventy
one points per game, you're not gonna win very many games.
So with Paint Valley, they're really coming into a diena
And I know George Coleman is going to be emphasizing
their defense of a game plan and their ability here

(02:04):
tonight against the Adeena Warriors, who are athletic and they
got scores all over the place. aDNA a bit of
a surprise so far their first two games. They look
like a very complete team and a guy like Joey
Francis nineteen twenty points a night. So far, he's been
one of the best players in the league. Yeah, Joey,
He's a kid that had a lot of experience as

(02:24):
a freshman and software and now he's filled it into
his body. We go in and practice against some ton
times and he is built and he is very strong,
and Joe's just kind of using all of his will
just to get points. And also he can go in
the paint finish through somebody, but he can shoot it
from downtown to another SBC night tonight over in Huntington,

(02:45):
the Huntsman taking on Piked in Zaane Trace hosting Southeastern
and the West Fall Mustangs at the Unio the Germans.
Tonight in fac action. The Chili Cothee Cavaliers are on

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Welcome back here to Dinah High School. The O six
Adena High School championship basketball team is being honored right
now and Coach Lou Postage is out there with assistant
coach Drey Kerns, assistant coach Jason Smith, and some of
the players. We've got it, uh, Posy, Andrew Sowers, Michael Hitchins,

(05:45):
Clint Brown, David Halcombe, Dylan Gibbons, and Paulin Urick, Drey
Me and you as well as our other brother Jeff.
We were a part of this team back in the day.
I was only six years old. We were the managers
on teams, and I have some memories back then. We
have some fun times. Yeah, it was definitely a fun time.

(06:06):
I remember some games where we maybe had to leave
a little early because it got out of hand and
it was just a little bit more intense. So I
think mom and Dad told us to go home. So,
but it was a lot of fun. Just you know,
it's nice seeing these guys again. I bet them seeing
us makes them feel a little bit old. So yeah,

(06:27):
one member, I remember going down to Athens for the
District Championship. First time down there. We got to run
through the stadium. I think we've caused a lot of havoc.
I don't remember we were a problem. Yeah, yeah, I
say we are. It was. It was definitely a cool experience.
That was our first time being down there and all that.
So it was. Uh, it's definitely a special movie. You

(06:50):
can go down and play at the convo. Next team
being honored is the twenty and twenty one SBC champions squad.
Head coach Kyle Bradley, assistant coaches. Uh, that's Greg Starts
and Dwayne Shipley. Players in the house tonight. Logan Bennett

(07:16):
throck Morton, Nate Morton, I wanted to say Russell, Nate
throck Morton, Jared Garrison, Uh, Dylan McDonald, Cody Rawlings, Jared Shipley,
Jacob Shipley there, Jacob Chipley, Davis Karns Uh And yeah,
that's another you know team that you know, me and

(07:36):
Jeff were a part of. We we were not a
factor into their their championship team at all, but we
did some of a bench and we we helped them
out a little bit with practice and and all that stuff.
So it was also a really good team that Adena's
had and it was a lot of fun winning that
SEC championship. And if I remember right, they it was
between them and Unyoda, and Nyoda lost before Adna's game

(07:59):
was over, and Coach Bradley was like, don't tell them,
so make sure they don't figure it out. And then I
remember they're in the fourth quarter. Coach Bradley finally told
him that unioed a loss and they were SBC champions
and it was just a nice moment for the team.
So it's nice for them to get back here and
be honored. I'm coach talk. You said, the six team
probably feels old for us sitting here, so they I

(08:21):
kind of feel old seeing these kids out here. Yeah
they were all in what elementary middle school when we
were in high school, So yeah, I definitely feel a
little bit old with them. But yeah, it's a it's
a nice little night at the NC doing here. To
the other thing, I started my broadcasting career that year.
The year prior when COVID happened, they wanted people to
broadcast those games because people couldn't go to them. So

(08:45):
that's where I got my started in broadcasting. Ceremonies are
concluding here, A nice round of applause for all of
those teams involved. Again, that was the nineteen seventy nineteen
seventy six six in two thousand and twenty one. And
we'll take another quick break and we'll be back for
more pregame action. You're listening to the accurate heating and

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Welcome Back, to a Dina High School pregame just underway
here as we get started for this one coach, I
want to give you a minute here to talk about
that six team that was honored here tonight. Twenty years
since you were coaching in this gym, and you guys
got it done, got the first conference title in thirty

(13:24):
years at the time. Yeah, it was. It was something
that you could tell living in this community they really
wanted And I did not get the job until late
in the summer, so a lot of these kids had
no idea who I was, and a lot of them
we didn't have much time to spend with them during
the summer. We were able to, you know, get everyone

(13:46):
at the beginning of the basketball season and once kids
started really buying into what we were trying to do.
And when we say we, I had one of the
best coaching staffs you know around You put a guy
Craig Curns, who was a head coach of Paytone Valley
at one time. He came over as my assistant. We

(14:06):
brought in a young guy of Jason Smith. Jason's been
a head coach in various different high schools around this
area now, but that was just a great staff for
Audo actually was our freshman coach. Rob was a guy
who came from the Indiana community. And tell you what,
our kids really bought into what we wanted to do,
and they bought into the idea that hey, we can

(14:28):
get this done now. It wasn't without a lot of
bumps along the road early in the year. We took
some bruises and bumps, but credit to all those guys
who you know, just weathered the storm and we made
it through. And by the end of the year we
were a team that no one wanted to play against. Coach,
we were pretty good. Now, some injuries cost us at

(14:48):
the end of the year. I think our district final
game could have been a lot different with some you know,
everyone healthy, but you know that's here nor there. But again,
the players that you heard introduced from that team, we're
all wonderful. I know Nick Milligan, he was not able
to make it up, but he was a senior. He

(15:08):
was a first team All the League player of the
year before, averaged a lot of points, but he sacrificed
for the betterment of this team, and he didn't score
as much his senior year. But our team was better
for that and you know, it took a guy like
that to really understand and sacrifice that for our team
to be as good as we were. So, you know,

(15:30):
it's a big thing for a community to win a
league title for the first time in thirty years. Now.
They did it again back in twenty one, but again
it's this community hasn't seen that. And coach Day came
to us and was on my staff the second year.
So coach Dan has been around and he knows he
wants to bring that back here as well. Well, one

(15:52):
thing we talked about some memories from that year. I
tell you that team was probably the most hydrated and
well taken care of a group of guys. You had
three pretty good ball boys. I thought you did. You
guys did a wonderful job. And that was something that
was special about that year that I was able to
have my sons down there off the fence with me

(16:14):
and uh, you know, it was really special. And you
guys were able to then be a part of the
Adina Warriors and you'll be very special at this high school.
So but yes, that that was a special part of
that team. Well, congratulations, it's hard to believe that was
twenty years ago. Now twenty twenty six, I was telling

(16:36):
those guys, I think we could really play with some
teams in our league right now if we came out
right now. Those guys looked in fantastic shape. Twenty years later.
Uh and uh they're going to be a good fathers
as some of them are already fathers and now coaching
their sons and daughters. So great job with those for

(16:56):
those young men. All right, Well, this one just about
to get underway here, about eight minutes left to go
in warm ups. We've got a Dina coming in at
two and two paint Valley zero to five. You know
we talked about offensively defensively for each team's any keys
to this one that you see, Well, I think when
you we've seen both these teams play now, I think

(17:19):
when you look at this game, one of the number
one keys is going to be Cana Dina. Come off
of what happened on Tuesday. You know, they were in
the game right till the end. They had a chance
to win it. Uh, they don't win it against a
really good zaan't trace teams, So how do they rebound?
Do they come out and play or is there a
little law for them if there's a law this Paint

(17:40):
Valley team can get you know, get on you quick.
We saw that up at west Fall last Friday night
where they took off against west Fall and it was
a dogfight for Rest Westfall the rest of the night.
So I think that's the big key here at how
does it a Dina come out? You talked about that
Tuesday night It was a fifty forty nine overtime lost

(18:01):
for the Warriors. They were led and scoring by Joey
Francis with nineteen Gavin Harold with thirteen. Before that there
was a lost to Unioder and before that it was
a Friday night win at Huntington fifty five forty six
where Francis led the way with twenty two points Harold
was sixteen. It seems like those are the two guys

(18:24):
that they look to a lot. Yeah, and you're right.
I think you and I saw them at Huntington and
I thought the Harold kid did a great job, especially
in the second half. And I know Coach Day and
I talked about that, and he's a big key for
their team. Now here's the thing. He's only a sophomore
and he's still growing, and you know, I I really

(18:50):
would like to see him come out. But again, the
key here for Adina is to be able to handle
the basketball, get it down the floor and get into
some type of offense. Get every buddy involved, and we
know they're gonna play good defense. They look at Payton Valley,
they're gonna score the ball. They score about just as
much as a Dina here, but it could come from

(19:11):
any player. They've got multiple guys that can score in
double figures. When you look at their last game against
piked In, Ryan Hart scored sixteen and Iisen also had
sixteen and they're lost to West Fall. Elliott had sixteen,
Ryan Hart had fourteen, and Scott had ten points in
that game. Yeah, they've got multiple guys that can fill

(19:32):
it up. They do, but to consistent is Ryan Hart.
He has to come out and play well for them
to be able to stay at games. But you are right,
Elliott did a great job on handling the basketball over Westball.
But the problem with that is against some of these teams,
it is just a struggle to get the ball off
the floor and he could get tired a lot. Now,

(19:55):
this team, this Peyton Valley team, does have some depth
that they can go to them, but they're really young.
We're talking about sophomores and freshman who's barely into their
first what three weeks of high school basketball at the
varsity end. So again, it's going to be I think,
a struggle as this year goes on. But I know

(20:17):
this Paint Valley team is going to scrap and fight
each time out and get better as the year goes on.
And as we look out on the court right now
we look at the size of each team, I would
say Adena has got a sizeable advantage inside, especially when
they can bring in the big six to six junior

(20:37):
Kate Sours off the bench. Yeah, he played a big
role in that game on Tuesday night from what I understand,
and he does give him some minutes, and you are right,
you just can't teach him the type of heights he
comes in with. Looking ahead for these teams, on next Tuesday,
Adena will be at Southeastern and then on Friday be

(20:58):
at Tikedon and then on the twenty third, they'll take
on East Clinton in a non conference match up Paint Valley.
On Tuesday they will take on Zane Trace and then
Friday they'll be at Paint Valley and then take on
Lethburg Fairfield in the non conference all before Christmas. From
a coaching perspective, what do you want to see out

(21:20):
of your team before we hit this last holiday break
for Christmas. Well, you want to see that your team
is getting better. Number one. I always tried to say,
you know, if we can be above five hundred before
Christmas break, or you know, maybe go six and one,
six and two, that was probably a good start for you.

(21:43):
But again, you want to see your team getting better
from day one to that Christmas break. This is an
SBC night here in southern Ohio. Pikedon is at Huntington,
Southeastern as Zane, Trace and West Hall at Uniota in
fac action. The Chilicopy Cavaliers are back in action after

(22:03):
a week or so break. They take on McLain that
is at McLean and you can hear that one on
our sister station over on news radio WVEE X Dewey
and Tim Daily on the call over there. We're going
to take a quick break and we'll be ready for
game action. Here at Adina High School, you're listening to

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Welcome back inside at Dina High School. We're just about
to get set here for the national anthem. I tell
you what, Coach, we got a full house here at
this at our broadcasting table. All were postages we got
trade He's gonna be keeping stats for us and Jeff
who just came to the listen. I guess yep. We

(25:09):
are right down here on court side, on the visitors side,
so we got all the postages here. Mom, it's up
there in the stands as well. So all right, we
will pause as the Adena forms the national anthem.

Speaker 18 (25:31):
Feat Yes the Valley, their casts and your Adina Warriors.
Please jo please rise and join us. Who's playing over
our national Anthemful.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Job there by? It'll be Adena pep fan just about
to get underway here at Adena High School? Were you
ready to announce the starters? We'll look at them ourselves
first for the visiting Paint Valley Bearcats, number two Jason Reinhardt,
a senior, Number three, Landon Elliott, a senior, number five,

(27:20):
Brennan Eisen, a sophomore, number thirteen Ethan Burton, a freshman,
and number twenty three James Thompson, a sophomore. A lot
of youth there for the Bearcats, Stop Freeman. Yeah, that
youth is playing a lot of minutes for them.

Speaker 19 (27:38):
Goes.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Then they're going to look at number seventy seven, let's
meet the teams, and eight off the bench that are
going to be young as well. For the home team,
the Adena Warriors, it's number zero Joey Francis, a five
eleven senior, Number one, Langston Netsger a five to five senior,
number three, Luke Preston, a five eleven senior, number eleven,

(28:01):
Colton Garrison, a six four junior, and number twelve Gavin
and Harold a six three sophomore. Some good height there
for the Warriors, as they'll also bring six four Cooper
Day and sixty six Kates Hours off the bench. Yeah,
that that team can play really big at times, Gerdina,
and they got to use that to their advantage. Joe

(28:26):
out here at Adina High School they announced their starter.
So t any final thoughts as we get this from starting. Well,
it's a Friday night here in December, and h it's
just good to be inside and getting excited to play.
Michael vast that what happens here like this? Well that's

(28:47):
you all listen in as the Adena Warriors starters are
getting it out. No nice job, there by the PA announcer,

(29:24):
mister Case sar, we're about to get underway here. It
is a Dina in their home whites with the blue trim,
blue letters and numerals with a two shaded blue trim.
For the Bearcats, it is their road blacks with the
gold trim, gold letters and gold numerals. A sharp look

(29:46):
and easy for us to see in the broadcasters. Sure is,
And you're not excited after that introduction. I'm not sure
what gets you excited. Francis wins the tip over to
Garrison download looking for Harold. It was going away there. Yeah,
they tried to go inside right away. Try to use
that advantage and knock the way Ice in looking to drive.

(30:07):
He gets all the way to the block, his float
shot up. No good, confessed there by. Garrison rebound, pulled
down by Francis Langston Metster at the center court logo
calling out the Warrior offense, Luke Preston in the corner.
Preston gets it back up top to Francis, swings it
over to Garrison on the left wing. Garrison, looking down low,

(30:28):
kicks it back to the top of the key. Now
Metzger on the wing, back to Francis. Francis backing down
his man his float turnaround shotting the lane. That's no
good rebound Harold. Harold, he's got up, no good, but
he's fouled. Yeah, great job of staying active there for Harold,
stayed involved in the place right there. I thought that
was a little horse shot by Joey Francis there. I

(30:50):
think he can get a better shot off. That's a
line A vowel was on ice and that's his first
team's first Harold at the line seven fourteen left go
here in the first period, first one up for Harold.
That's the back iron. No good and more at the
line for him. Good atmosphere of full house here in Frankfurt,

(31:15):
and more at the line for Harold is shot up
and that is good. Makes it one to nothing lead
early here for the Warriors. Yeah, man, man pressure here
a little bit by aDNA Elliot across the timeline. That's
landing Elliott and he gets at the icing in the corner.
He tries to hear outs sit down rent An Ice

(31:36):
are two quick shots there by iceing and he trills
that three three one paint Valley leads quick grow ahead
pass to Harold. He tips it and controls it, looks
to dump it down to Garrison that's throwing away and
Garrison tips it out of bounds. It'll be Paint Valley
basketball turnover for the Warriors. Yeah, that's two forced tries

(31:57):
trying to get the ball inside for a Dina. I
think it's got to happen, and as your offense is going,
you can't really fort it. Elliott up to Burke, Burke
looking drive, gets a download to Ryan Hart. Reyanhart spinning
finds an open Burke. He's shot no good. Sorry that
was Thompson download. He's shot no good. Francis quickly the
other way up to Preston and Preston's foul at the bucket. Yeah,

(32:20):
Francis is so fast. He got that rebound and he
took off with the ball Preston was able to run
with him and he gets a chance for two foul
shots in burt three one. The Paint Valley Bearcats lead
with six twenty eight left to go here in the
first period. Leave Preston at the line four two first
one is up. That's short, no good. Missing their opportunities

(32:46):
there early is that he Dina Warriors. That foul was
on Ethan Burke. That's his first team second of the quarter.
And more for Preston, it is up and it's gonna
be called off. I believe we're gonna be lane by
ale On Harold, so that takes a point off the
board for the Warriors. Remains three to one with six
twenty eight left to play here in the first period,

(33:09):
Coach Andrew Day does not like the way this thing
is starting. A couple of turnovers from a lot of
miss free thrown Elliott met there by Preston at the timeline,
gets it down low to Ryan Hart. Reinhart tries a
fifteen footer that's no good. Rebound pulled down by Harold Old,
court pressure by the Bearcats garrison across the timeline. It
was to the left wing, poked it in the corner

(33:31):
to Preston. Preston drives baseline and that goes out off him.
That will be a turnover for the Warriors. I mean,
other than Joey Francis's shot. That's the only shot they've
had in the half court. They've had three turnovers and
miss foul shots. Landon Elliott across the timeline for the Bearcats,
gets it to Burke. Burke drives it to the left wing,

(33:53):
gets it back to Elliott. He's going to try up
all the way his shot. That's no good. Rebound pulled
down Luke. Preston Mardina here, you gotta get a good
offense the possession and Metzger brings it across the timeline.
Coach Day calling off the Warrior offense. Metzger picks up
his dribble, gets it over to Garrison. All back to Metzger.

(34:13):
They reset the offense. Harold on the wing, Harold up
top to Francis. Francis looks to drive, spinning cut off
there by Burke. He tries to fall away shot. That's
the good shot there by Francis. He was more under
control that time. He was able to get at the fall.
We're tied at three five point fifteen. Left to go

(34:34):
here in the first period, Landon Elliott up top, gets
it over to Ice and icin over to Thompson, who
tries at three. That's no good. Francis Sky's high for
the rebound. Then he goes quickly up the right side,
drives it to the wing, now gets it to Metzger.
Metzger at the top of the key, down low Harold,
Harold up top to Garrison, Garrison back to Harold on

(34:57):
the wing east picked up there by Icon, Garrison back
up tops looking down low for Francis, and Francis is
fouled down low on the post up. He had his
men deep and then he just kind of grabbed him
and moved him out of the way. Yeah, he was
really posting off Hard Darren for Peyton Valley there. That

(35:17):
was number thirteen Ethan Burke, who gets called his second foul,
his second team's third of the quarter. Inbound to Garrison,
back to Metzger. Now Harold at the top of the
key looks to drive kicks at the Metzger. Metzger now driving.
Who's gonna try a fifteen fitter? That's no good? Rebound
patrol thereby Thompson of the Bearcats we're tied at three,
with three with four thirty left to go. Here in

(35:40):
the first period, Randon Elliott across the timeline, met there
by the lawyers. Now he gets it to Reinhart driving baseline.
That's no good. Rebound pulled down by Francis. Well, that
was a great move by Ryan Hardy just didn't finish it.
Francis at the top of the key gets it into
the lane and his pass was tipped out of bounds there. No,

(36:03):
it was not tips. They're gonna talk about it here.
I'm not sure if it was tipped or not in
this old call was Warriors basketball. Guy closest to the
play didn't have a call, And then one of the
guys finally came in and said, I saw a tip,
So it was tipped, it would be Warriors basketball. Quickly

(36:25):
Francis in the corner. He's gonna try three. That's no good.
You're bound, pulled down by Elliott. Quickly up the right
side to Burke. Burke euro step float shot in the lane.
That's no good. You're bound, pulled down by Garrison. He
gets it quickly up the right side to Francis. Francis
is going to be called for an offensive foul. I
think he extended that off on. Yeah, Sometimes when you

(36:48):
get in too much of a hurry, on looks like
about more than it doesn't, And I think that's what
the referee saw. I think the referee was caught in
a bad angle that he could only see it from behind.
The big offensive foul on Francis his first team's first
of the quarter. So we're tied at three. Three forty
six left to play here in the first period. Elliott

(37:09):
across the timeline, he's driving. He's gonna try a float shot.
No good. Burke brings down the rebound. He puts up
another shot, no good. Now Icen with the rebound, his
shot blocked away there by Kate Sowers. Now France is
up the right side, He's got speed, pulls it out,
gets across court to Metzger Metzgery in the corner, up
top to Garrison. Garrison's driving, Bowley's his way down to

(37:31):
the block. Turnaround shot, no good. Rebound to Icen, and
we're gonna have a foul on the rebound. I believe
that's gonna be on Kate Sours, his first team second Yeah,
I was just getting ready to mention that Garrison needed
to be more involved in the offense area. Had a
nice move there, drove to the bucket at his pit move,
but this couldn't get at the fall. We're deadlocked at three.
Doesn't seem like anything can go for either team right

(37:54):
now as we're under a minute three point fifteen left
to play. Here in the first quarter, or landon Elliott
picked up by Luke Preston, gets it over to Thompson
on the right wing, down low looking for Scott who
just checked in his shot, no good, long rebound, gets
cold thereby Ryan Hart. Ryan Hart to the wing, gets
at the ice and icens float shot, no good. Rebound

(38:15):
by Scott, his shot no good, another offensive rebound Ryan Hart,
and he's gonna be fouled on the put back. Send
jays Ryan Art to the line for two. Yeah, that
might be yeah, they called that on Kate Sours. That's
a huge good thousand on Kate Sours. This second and
now get teachs third. Three opportunities by paint Valley there

(38:35):
at the offensive bucket, and here Ryan Hart's gonna shoot
two first on at the line for Ryan Hart. It
is up and good makes it four to three. Paint
Valley leagues and Govin. Harold checks back in for sours.

(38:55):
Two point fifty five left to go here in the
first period. One more at the line called Linhart and
that's good. Makes it five to three. The Bearrecats lead
in bounds of Francis full court zone pressure here by
the Bearcatz got it across the line to Garrison. Garrison
wide open lane and he puts it in for two. Yeah.

(39:16):
That was a good look and good job airby Garrison.
Take it right to the bucket. Five five here with
two thirty six left to play in the first quarter,
Landon Elliott across the timeline gets it over to icon
Icon on the wing, coming off of Scott's scream. He's
looking down low and that's thrown away there by Harold.
Harold quickly the other way gets it into the lane

(39:37):
his scoop shot and one ah. That was a strong
move to the bucket. There by Harold was able to
get that the phone. He's gonna get a three point
play opportunity. Good moved by the sophomore makes it seven
five with two twenty two left to play in the
first quarter. Scrooper Day, the six four sophomore checks in

(40:00):
Joey Francis one. That's line four. Harold, that's up and
good makes it eight five Warriors lead. You had a
nice spurt here by a diner. Randon Elliott across the
timeline picked up by Luke Preston, gets it to Thompson

(40:20):
on the wing, mostly out of bounds line. And they're
gonna say he stepped out going to be a turnover
paint alley like he moved his foot as he was
getting ready to make that drive and he stepped on
the inline. Another turnover for the Bearcats. Warrior basketball eight
five lead, two oh seven left to play here in
the first period, Linkston Metster with the ball, gets it

(40:41):
across the timeline to Garrison. Garrison at the top of
the key, picked up by Ryan Hart now Metzger off
the Garrison screen. Nice up down past to Garrison for
two years at the picking roll. Yeah, when they played
it per two perfection there. Great job there by Metaker
finding Garrison ten to five. Adena Leeds Elliott with the

(41:01):
ball back door past the Reinhart in the lane, fall
away shot. That's good, Ryan Hart. A good answer there
by Jason Reinhardt and seven layers League Garrison with the
ball in the back court. Could court prices by the
Bearcats get sit across the timeline to Harold. Harold looking
to drive baseline, spinning in the lane, turning around, shot
up and good, that's strangled by the sophomore. Yeah, he

(41:23):
showed a lot of strength there. Nice touch once he
got it there. Elliott over to Ice and Icing at
the top of the key, coming off the screen, float
shot in the lane. That's no good rebound. Scott puts
it into two. Yeah, but West Paul Scott did a
good job offensive rebound and he's got another one there.
Twelve nine Adena Leeds. We're a minute left to play

(41:44):
here in the first year at icing with the steel
in the back court and he has his past tip,
but it finds his way to Elliott. Elliott downloaded Scott.
Scott turning around shot no good, gets his own rebound.
That one's no good rebound pulled down by Garrison Forrey
six in rolling Garrison across the time on Cooper Day
open for three in the corner. That's no good rebound

(42:04):
pulled down by Kane Scott. Ryan Hart with the ball
up the right side, thirty four seconds left to play
in the first period, tribbles it to the wing up
top the Iceon coach Coleman calling out the Payne Valley offense.
Now Landon Elliott comes in, gets it. He's picked up
there by Luke Preston on the wing. Iceon Icein looks

(42:26):
your drive gets in the lane euro step that's no good.
Rebound pulled down by Cooper Day was fourteen. Ice had
had a nice drive there, just too strong on that shot.
Langston metsgre with eight at the timeline was six up
to Garrison, looks full Garrison to Harold with two. Harold's
gonna try long three. That's no good. Not a good

(42:47):
possession there to end the half. In the quarter at
the end of the first quarter, it is aDNA twelve
Payne Valley nine. You're listening to the reactor being cooling
and plumbing. Game of the Night on ninety four Country.

At the end of the first quarter, twelve nine, Adena
leads trade stats from that first quarterer Yeah, Adena was
lend scoring with Gavin Harold who had six points and

(44:02):
Colton Garrison who had four points. As a team, they
were five of eleven for shooting. Paint Valley, on the
other hand, was three of eighteen shooting. They were led
by Jase Reinhart with four points. Pink Valley though seven
offensive rebounds out of the half. It'll happen, sorry, after
the first quarter, It'll be Pink Valley's basketball landing Elliott

(44:23):
up top four of the Bearcants, gets it over to
Thompson on the wing and he's picked up by Cooper
Day and the corner Jase Ryan Hart. He's gonna try
a three that was blocked there by Harold ease Ball
controlled there by Colton Garrison, and he's going to be
found in the back court. Yeah. Both teams did do
a much better job on the offensive end of executing.

(44:43):
Right now they're not doing a very good job and
both teams are struggling on that offensive end. Bat Fowl
was on ice in his second team's first of the
quarter of Francis up top. His cast was tipped there
but controlled by Preston download Harold. Harold using his strength
and gets all the way the bucket for two. Yeah,

(45:06):
I'll tell you what. Coach took him out there for
a second. I had a little talking to And since
he's come back, he's played strong reinheart drives. His pass
was tipped and controlled out top by Iceon. Icen's setting
up the bearcat offense. He's guarded there by Francis. Now
to Elliott at the center court logo. He's guarded by

(45:26):
Preston Thompson on the right wing. Back to Iceon Icen
looking to drive as it tipped there. Loose barr picked
up by Francis, and he's gonna say he rolled over
on the ground, So that'll be a travel and it
will remain Bearcat basketball. Yeah, he did a good job.
Good hus we're getting on before after as soon as

(45:48):
he turns over, you're gonna call it fourteen to nine.
Adina Leeds a minute into the second quarter and bound
to Elliott. Now he finds Thompson in the corner or
Thompson up top the ice and ice and looked to drive,
was cut off their by Francis. He's on the left wing. Now,
picks up his drivel, gets a crossport to Scott Scott

(46:11):
on the right wing, bartered by Garrison, looks to drive,
gets it into the corner, and that was Thompson his shot,
no good, gets his own rebound, long rebound pulled down
by Preston. Are we're gonna have an off foul there
on Preston? I believe so foul there on Luke Preston
on the rebound his first team's first of the quarter.

(46:33):
I believe they said he pushed to get better opportunity there.
So that's why I foul's on Preston baseline out of
bounds into ice in his flat shot. That's good an ice,
little runner for ice and hey what icea is? Oh,
we're gonna get a chart over by a diner saying
they threw the ball in before he or he stepped

(46:55):
over the line before he threw the ball in. Yeah,
I don't think. I don't think Preston ever took the
ball out. He just threw it to Garrison and then
Garrison thought it was live. So now they're going to
call it violations.

Speaker 14 (47:04):
So while the baseline out of bounds four of the Bearcats.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
That pass was tipped loose ball. Garrison fighting for it.
He gets it now, he has it up to Harold.
He Preston across the timeline. Six seventeen left to go
here in the second quarter, fourteen eleven lead for the Warriors,
Garrison up top, drives into the lane, Bloke shot off
the glass and enter. Now, this has been the most

(47:31):
aggressive I've seen him all year so far. This is
what he needs to do. Sixteen eleven. The Warriors lead
Elliott to Scott in the corner. He's gonna put up
all three and hat's good. King Scott got like you said,
there's a bunch of different guys. He came fourth of
his Bearcat team and they're chowing it right now. Sixteen

(47:52):
fourteen and Deena League's Garrison on the wing, picked up
by Scott, gets it to Harold in the corner. Harold
back to Garrison on the wing. Now back to Harold
in the corner. He drives Baseline, uses his body again
and puts it in two two. This is a tough
matchup for Peyton Valley. Whoever they put on Harold. Yeah,
they're gonna need to send somebody over. When he gets

(48:12):
ahead of Steam, Elliott up the right side, calling out
to paint Valley offense gets it. The icens up the
top of the key over to Thompson. Thompson back to
Elliott in the corner, guarded there by Preston. He drives
Baseline dumps it down to Scott, who was opened, but
his shot was altered there by Cooper Day Francis quickly

(48:33):
the other way, download open Harold for two nine courter
version by Joey Frank. Yeah, Joey got the ball down
quick and he had the vision to see the backside,
and there was Harold and coach Bowman wants a time out.

Speaker 2 (49:32):
Welcome back to Adena High School. Out of the time out,
it'll be Paint Valley basketball. At twenty to fourteen lead
for the Warriors with five minutes left to play. Here
in the second quarter, Elliott across the timeline for the Bearcats,
guarded thereby Preston taking the drive. Spinning, gets in the lane,
his float shot up off the glass angle good nice
moved there by Elliott taking a pressure of Preston. Then

(49:54):
they finally just beat him in the middle lane. Twenty sixteen,
cool four pressure by the Bearcats. Garrison in the back
court looking gets it up to Cooper Day. He's wide
open at the bucket and he puts it in for two. Yeah,
good job there, nice being able to throw it over
the top by Garrison. A good job by Cooper can
Jay of catching that and laying it. In twenty two sixteen,

(50:15):
Nadina Lee's elliot at the top of the key gets
it over to Burke. Burke on the wing up to icon,
Icon calling out the offense comes off the screen near by.
Thompson gets it into the lane. His float shot no good,
pulled down by Joey Francis. Now Francis quickly the other way,
right down the center of the court for the bucket.

(50:37):
His shot no good, long rebound he tipped. Nobody's got
it now flanks and Metzcher comes up with it. Cooper
Day at the top of the key, over to Garrison.
Garrison on the wing finds Preston in the corner. Preston
finds the cutting Francis at the bucket. His shot no
good rebound, tipped by Cooper Day and gathered in the
corner by Francis. Now Metzger at the top of the key.

(50:58):
His pre draws back iron and I was pulled down
by sen But we're gonna have a foul on the rebound.
I believe that's gonna be on Joey Francis. Yeah, and
again Deana got multiple shots at it. They're just not
able to get anything in the fall. His second team
and second of the quarter. Devin Harold checks back in
for Francis and Jase Ryan Hart checks in for Scott

(51:21):
of the Barricats. Three thirty seven left to play here
in the second quarter, a twenty two to sixteen lead
for the Lawyers. Elliott with the ball at the center
court logo, he's met by Luke Preston, gets over to
Ison at the top of the key. Now Ryan Hart
in the corner. Ryan Hart back up to Icon. He's
gonna try three from the top of the key. That

(51:42):
crattle is in Brandon Nightson, Yeah, he's really aggressive tonight
with the basketball on the offensive. Then twenty two eighteen,
Adena Leeds Garrison getting trapped in the backcourt, gets it
to Cooper Day. Cooper Day down load to Harold and
Harold puts it in for two. Adina doing a great
job and bring making that pressure and getting breakaway layups. Yeah,
that was a good job by Cooper Day, taking as

(52:04):
far as he could and then auditioning off the Harold
Thompson's pass to Ryan Hart goes off his shin and
out of bounds, out of be a turnover for the Bearcats.
The two fifty eight left to play here in the
second quarter, twenty four to nineteen lead for the Warrior tray.
How many does this herold have on the ninth uh
with he's got eight points in the score. He's at
the fourteen points now for the night pressure in the

(52:24):
back court, Metzger up the left side. His pass was
tipped and that's gonna go out of bounds. It'll stay
Warriors basketball. Now in the front court, that's where you
got to bounce past it up. If you, you know,
just bounce past it up, you're gonna get another layerup
right there, sideline out of bounds for the Warriors. Cooper
Day gets it into Garrison in the back court now Metzkert,

(52:46):
coach Day calling out the Warrior offense. Metzger's pass was
thrown away there by Ryan Hart. Another turnover for the Warriors. Yeah,
a lot of unforced turnovers by a Dina here tonight
in the first half. Thirty left to play here in
the second quarter, Elliott over to Ice and Isen on
the wing while pass inside looking for Elliott, was tipped,

(53:07):
but it goes down to Elliott and now his past,
the Rhinehart was thrown away by Garrison Metzger up the
left side to Harold. Now Cooper Day down low looking
for Preston, and that pass goes out of bounds. Another
turnover for the Warriors, and again another opportunity for a
lay up there if the pass is there on the
right time. Two ten left to play here in the

(53:30):
second quarter twenty four to nineteen DNA Leeds say, why
coach Dave's beard's got a lot more gray in it.
Elliott with the ball, gets it over to Thompson on
the wing. Trapped there has his past thrown away by Metzger,
but Elliott takes it right back. Now Elliott up the
left side, He's going to be found there by Preston.

(53:53):
It's gonna be the team's third tonight quite to the
shooting val Yet, so why have a sideline out of bounds?
Must checking back in for the Bearcats. I can't see
the number there. That's number four. That's Carter Elliott, the sophomore.
Elliott to in bounds, his passing Ryhart stolen away by

(54:19):
Harold and then Harold has it dribble off his foot
out of bounds, so all go back to the Bearcats
with two fifty sorry a minute fifty left to play
here in the second quarter. Again nice job, but jumped
in the passing lane nearby Harold, but he wasn't able
to get it. Twenty four nineteen. Nadeno leeds icon at
the spenter court logo for the Bearcats. He's looking to dry,

(54:41):
gets it in the lane he was bumped and puts
it in good body control after the foul there to
get it off the glass and put it in. I'll
tell you well, we saw him last Friday. But the
thing that really stands out to me in this game
is Brendan Iisen sing the offensive one aggressiveness. That bucket

(55:04):
makes it twenty four to twenty one. The Warriors leads.
Isin's free throw is up and good makes it twenty
four to twenty two. Full courts owned pressure by the Bearcats.
Garrisons cross court to Cooper Day Day into the front
court to Harold. Harold gets it today, Alon Metzker and
they're gonna set up the Warrior offense. Garrison on the
wing Day in the corner up to Garrison Garrison looks

(55:30):
to dry float shot in the lane. That's short, no
good rebound pulled down by Icon. They shot about a
six footer. You only shot at four feet. Barracats with
a chance to tie it or take the lead. With
a minute oh three left to play in the second quarter,
Thompson on the wing, guarded by Garrison, up top to Burke,
berved over to Iceon. Icon dries into the lane. His

(55:54):
float shot up and good. Brandon Isen having a nice
first halt. I mean, he is totally opposite what I
saw on last Friday.

Speaker 14 (56:03):
Trey.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
How many points he have? We're tied at twenty four.
He is up to twelve points now with a big
second quarter. Preston with the ball into the lane. His
floats got no good. He's bowed bout across the arms.
So Luke Preston will go to the line for two
number two one hard. Yeah, he was a little out

(56:24):
of control there and he got lucky to get a call.
Vowels on Ryan Hart his first te second. We're tied
twenty four all with thirty three seconds left to play
here in the second quarter, first one up in good
for Preston makes it twenty five to twenty four Warriors leader.
Is that ten turnovers here in the first half by

(56:46):
Diva tray, Yeah, ten turnovers for Warriors and eight offensive
rebounds now for Saint Valley two for two at the
line for Luke Preston makes it twenty six to twenty
four at Na Leagus thirty seconds and rolling brend and
Ice and getting the call from coach Coleman, takes it
across the timeline with twenty three. That's there by Luke

(57:07):
Preston stepping back with twenty. Now the corner to Ryan
Hart sixteen, crossport over to Burke, Burke, now to Elliott.
Elliott back to Burke, throws off his foot stolen away
by Preston with eight Preston wide open lane to the
hoop and he puts it in quick four points there
by Luke Preston, and that's how the first afflo ends.

(57:30):
It is a Dina twenty eight Paint Valley twenty four.

This is the halftime report on ninety four Country WKKGA.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
Quarter back here to Adena High School, where the halftime
score is the Adena Warriors twenty eight and the Paint
Valley Bearcats twenty four. We'll go over to Trey and
look at some stats there from the first half. First
off for the deal war they shot twelve of twenty
one from the field for fifty seven percent. They had
three offensive rebounds to go with those ten turnovers. For

(01:00:08):
the Warriors individually, they were let and scoring by Gavin
Harrow who had fourteen points. Also threw in two rebounds.
Colt Garrison six points with three rebounds. Luke Preston had
two buckets late there in the second quarter four points
and one rebound. Joey Francis got a little bit of
foul trouble they were late in the second quarter, only
has two points, but he has eight rebounds for the Warriors,

(01:00:29):
and also Cooper Day threw in a two point bucket.
Now for the Paint Valley Bearcats, they shot nine of
twenty nine from the field as a team thirty one percent.
They had eight offensive rebounds there in the first half,
which is something that coach Day is really going to
emphasize to a aDNA Warriors and a half times that
they got to they cannot give up that many offensive

(01:00:50):
rebounds and Paint Valley had six turnovers as a team. Individually,
they were led by Brendan Aisen with a big second quarter.
Had ten points there in the second finished with thirteen
in the first half with three rebounds. Also for the Bearcats,
Jason ryan Hart threw in four points with four rebounds.

(01:01:12):
Is it came, conn came Scott Kane Scott that is
five points for three rebounds, and Landon Elliott had two
points with a rebound there for the Bearcats. Yeah, looking
at the Bearcats there and Randon Ice and he had
a quick, a big five point swing there for them
as they as a dina had stretched that lead to

(01:01:32):
almost ten and then he gets those quick five points,
gets us tied up at twenty four, and then being
able to get a four h run there by Luke
Preston in the first half. Yeah, Adno, in that first
second quarter, they made their first five shots, so they
got out to that lead, but payt Valley did not
go away and a big part of that was brendan

(01:01:53):
Issen with that. There's ten big points there the second quarter,
which has kept the game close and kind of given
the momentum back to pay Valley there a little bit
as they went on a run there late in the
second quarter. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how Adeena
adjusts to that full court press that paint Valley has
been putting on them. They've given him some fits and
that had helped Paint Valley get back into this one

(01:02:15):
after they had spread the lead due to beating that press.
So we'll see how the chess max works between coach
Coleman and coach Day and we also saw Joey Francis
leave with about three minutes left in that second quarter
because he had two fouls. So you know that if
Joey Francis is out of the game with foul trouble,
it's gonna change Adena's outlook, especially offensively and also for

(01:02:36):
Paint Valley. Brendon Eisen did all that in the second
quarter with two fouls, so he's really he's someone that
they do not want to pick up two more fouls
and have him sit on the bitch for Paint Valley
about five minutes until the second half gets underway here
at Adena High School, we'll take a quick break. This
is the accurate heating and cooling and plumbing game of
the night on ninety four Country wkkjoe.

it's I guess Palmer's first basketball game in here. So
it's uh, the next generations of Postage I guess are
also in here. Then, little Ariet Hutchinson is also an

(01:05:49):
attendance tonight. Four point lead for Adena. As we get
the second quarter started, it'll be interesting to see the
second half change is that each team makes some players
in foul trouble I would say paint Valley is going
to get back to that pressure and try to speed

(01:06:09):
Adena up.

Speaker 7 (01:06:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
I think Payton Valley definitely had success with that as
they uh uh you know forced ten Toner turned ten
turnovers from aDNA and a lot of that was from
their little pressure that they do and Adena would just
casually throw the ball away. So I got to give
Payt Valley big credit, uh and looking for them to
continue that. But also another thing that eight offensive rebounds

(01:06:33):
of the first half, Coach Coleman really is wanting them
to get off the get on the offensive. Last year,
three more offensive opportunities. Second action just about to get underway.
We'll take a quick break and we will have game
action back here on the accurate Heating and Cooling and

Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Welcome back to Dina High School. To start the second half,
it was a Dina's ball. They got a bucket by
Joey Francis. Now paint valley with the basketball Elliott at
the top of the key. He's gonna try three. That's
no good rebound to roll there by Langston Metzger. It
is thirty to twenty four, was seven to nineteen left
to play here in the third period, Francis down low.

(01:09:21):
His followays shot in the lane, rattles in saw off
touch there by Joey Francis Elliott across the timeline for
the Panthers, calling out the paint valley offense, gets it
over to Thompson on the wing up top ice In
Iceen coming off that good second quarter. Now his pass

(01:09:43):
to Elliott was tipped out of bounds there by Luke Preston.
Some of the main paint valley basketball. Yeah, Dina, it
was tied twenty four to twenty four and Adena. Now
it's on a eight to note nothing run scored to
the last four points of the second quarter and now
the first four of the third quarter, so fis still
run here by aDNA. Elliott ends bounds to Iceen Iison

(01:10:06):
at the top of the gee, parted by Francis, gets
it to Elliott on the wing. He looks to drive,
gets it into the lane, was cut off there by Preston,
tries to turn around the shot. That's no good rebound
pulled down by Metzger Metsgur quickly up the right side
to Garrison. Garrison changes direction, gets it over to Harold.
Harold in the lane, is gonna be called for an
offensive foul? Yeah, he was just trying to use his

(01:10:29):
strength there again, and they're gonna get him on the
offensive charge call. But coming out to start this half,
the first two possessions for Payton Valley, I'm not sure
about those shots. I don't think that's something they probably
talked about at halftime. But Adena has really done a
better job here taking care of the basketball. That's the
first foul, and Gavin Harold teams first off the quarter,

(01:10:53):
Icon looks to drive, picks up his dribble, tries to
turn around shot. That's no good. We're gonna have a
out away from the basketball on the rebound's not gonna
be on. Harold called it on too. Isn't that on
Paint Valley? Yes, that was on. That foul is on

(01:11:16):
Ryan Heart of Paint Valley, So it'll be a Dina's
basketball found him in two like they called him for
the hold on the box out there. Yeah, everybody just
assumed it was going to stay with Paint Valley, but
the referee had other thoughts. Full core pressure there by
the Bearcats. Garrison gets it across the timeline to Francis

(01:11:37):
Francis at the top of the key, Coach Day calling
out the Warrior offense, over to Garrison on the wing.
Garrison gets a to Harald in the corner. Now back
to Garrison down low on the block, i spends around
his man and puts it in for two yeah, when
he had aggress him on the offensive end. This is
a Dina Team's Dangerous for twenty four. A Dina Lee's

(01:12:02):
was five thirty seven left to play here in the
third period, Elliott across the timeline to Iceon Iison at
the top of key over to Thompson, and Thompson looks
to drive his fifteen foot of block bear by Luke
Preston substitution for the paint for Payne Valley Gabriel. The
Hoyas checks in he's a junior. Elliott to inbound baseline

(01:12:30):
out of bound four of the Bearcats gets it to
Ison in the corner. He looks to go baseline cut
off there by Joey Francis picks up his dribble, gets
it to the Hoyas at the foul line. The Hoyas
gets it up to Elliott, and Elliott's gonna set up
the Bearcat offense. Gets it to Thompson in the corner.
Thompson picks up his dribble and he's gonna try a

(01:12:53):
long two pointer. That's no good. Rebound pulled by Francis
quickly the other way gets it into the lane and
that's gonna go out of bounds off Joey Francis, it'll
be bear cap basketball. Yeah, they had a three on
one fast break there and then turning the ball over
and don't get a shot off. Substitution for Adina Kate

(01:13:15):
Sours checks back in. He played a limited role there
in the first half. He had those two fouls in
a minute and didn't see any more action. Yeah, they're
very big team right now. They got to use that
advantage on the offense. And then Elliott at the top
of the key gets it to Thompson on the wing
coming off an Icon screen. Had that ball puck there
by Joey Francis. He's looking for Icon back door, but

(01:13:37):
that was thrown away by Garrison. Now Harold up the
right side gets it to Garrison at the top of
the key, looking for Sours down low, gets it to Harold.
Now Harold download to Sours back to Harold in the corner.
He's driving his layup. Get your rattles. In thirty six,

(01:13:58):
twenty four at League twelve oh run. Now, dating back
to that third end of the second quarter, Elliott up
the left side, looks to drive baseline cut off there
by Preston. His pass finds its way to Burke. Now
Elliott in the corner. He's gonna try a three. No good,
We're gonna have a foul away from the basketball, and
I believe that's gonna be on sours and that would

(01:14:21):
be his third. Wow. A lot of fowls called on
rebounds here it is his third team second. Now Metzger
checks in four hours sours, just having a tough time
staying on the court, picking up cheap quick fowls and

(01:14:42):
bounds to Burke, Bork over to Ice and Hayson on
the Wien guarded thereby. Francis backs it up and calls
out the Bearcat offense. Now he looks to drive float
shot in the lane back iron, no good, tipped by
the Hoyest, but gathered there by Metzger. Now Metzger quickly
up the left side, kills it to the corner, up

(01:15:02):
to the top of the Keita Harold. Harold's gonna try
a three at that's good, Gavin, Harold's shilling the rain. Wow,
He's had at nice night here tonight. After as I said,
a slow start, he's really come. On thirty nine twenty four,
the Warriors lead and coach Coleman's gonna call a full
time out, so we'll take a quick break. This is

twenty four. Coach you said it going back to the

bit of a run here. Yeah, it's reached fifteen oh
now and Harold's got did you say nineteen tray? Yes,
nineteen points, nineteen points here tonight, and he's having himself
quite the night, and he has not missed the shot.

(01:16:27):
He is one, two, three, eight for eight from the field. Addison.
That's what you call efficiency. And as a coach, you'd
like to see that out of the time out, it'll
be Payton Valley basketball. Elliott up to Burke, over to Thompson.
Thompson coming off on icon screen, gets it to icon
on the wing. Icen looking to drive cut off there

(01:16:50):
by Francis spinning and gets it out to Thompson, who
tries it three from the top of the tea. That's no good,
long rebound, it's loose, told thereby Thompson. Now he loses it.
Garrison picks it up and gets it over to Metzger.
That'scre up the right side to Harold. Harold driving lay
up at the block. That's no good. Now you mess one,
Gray Well call that is called The announcers think yeah.

(01:17:14):
Icing with the ball for the Bearcats thirty nine to
twenty four. Adena leads Icing into the lane, dumped down
to Da hooyas he's gonna try a float shot. That's
no good. Gets his own rebound that was blocked away
there by Harold and picked up by Garrison quickly up
the left side Metzger that's Chris, slows it down, gets
it over to Garrison. He's gonna try a three from
the wing. That's good, told Garrison, you know, nice range there.

(01:17:37):
Forty two twenty four aDNA leads. This run continues scoreless
in the second half for of the Bearcats. Thompson on
the left wing, tipped there by Garrison and he gets
on the floor and picks it up. He gets over
to Francis and coach take called a time out over there,
cooks Day laughing about that one. All right, coach Day,

Welcome back to Adena High School with Adena Warriors lead
forty two twenty four over the Paint Valley Bearcats, and
this scoreless streak is continuing. Four of the merricats in
the second half. Yeah, again, they're still playing aggressive and
they're still getting after it. But I tell you what,

(01:19:09):
you go on a eighteen does nothing run. Those are
tough to come back from. And they worked hard to
get it tied at twenty four, and now they're down eighteen.
Out of the timeout, it'll be a Dina's basketball with
two fourteen left to go. Here in the third period,
Cooper Days got some nice colorful shoes. He's right in
front of us here. He's got multi colored. I'm not

(01:19:32):
sure what colors those are, though, I don't think you
would let those pass in six, It's absolutely not. Garrison
at the top of the key gets it over to
Francis on the wing. Let's to drive baseline backs to
the corner down there for Garrison poked away there by
Scott Garrison picks it up and gets today Metzkert is
gonna try a fifteen footer and he's gonna be fouled

(01:19:54):
out across the arms there. So Langston Metzger will go
to the line for two number twelve I have a
line alone. Yeah, we were talking, Jeff and I were
talking about just last Friday that paint Alex pretty much
got team shoes, got nice white shoes with black Nike swoop.
Very few teams go and get team shoes on and there.

(01:20:17):
Do you think that goes back to the van meter
days of McClean and coach Marcus Coleman coming from McLean
most likely? And the number first one was up and
good for Metzger makes it forty three twenty four. I
don't know where Andrew Day went wrong. Well, he is

(01:20:42):
two for two at the line is Langston Metzger. You
would have thought he would have learn better from the
guy who got him and started coaching. Forty four to
twenty four. The Warriors lead shot there by Max Montgomery.
He checked in for the Bearcats, was no good. Was
tipped out of bounds by the Warriors. So we'll have
the baselane on the bounds. Four Paynt Valley all paint

(01:21:05):
Valley has not scored his quarter yet and they got
one forty two to try to get something in there.
Iceing down low, he's shot no good. Scott with the
second chan fuck it and he puts it in. Twenty
to nothing. Run is what that Adena run was twenty
four to twenty six. The Deena Leagues with a minute
twenty seven left to play here in the third period,
and that's her on the wings. Sours in the corner

(01:21:27):
down low at Cooper Day cutting to the rim and
puts it in for three. Nice cut from the top
of the key to the block by Cooper Day. Scott
with the ball in the wing, gets it up top
to Ice and iceing with the ten points in the
third quarter, you have to score here ten points in
the second quarter, you have to score here. In the
third quarter, Montgomery up top gets it to Scott in

(01:21:49):
the corner. Scott, started by Day, drives it to the wing,
crossport to Elliott. Elliott driving looks to dump it down
low and that's stolen away there by Kate Sours good
hands are by Sour Francis across the timeline. Forty seven
left to play here in the third quarter, Metsker subert
A open in the corner for three. That's long tip

(01:22:10):
my Sours and then Francis steps out of bounds looking
to control the loose ball with thirty eight seconds left
to play in the third quarter, forty six twenty six lead.

Speaker 18 (01:22:23):
Quarters number three.

Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
Co aDNA twenty point lead. That run there from the
second quarter through the third quarter. That's the difference in
the ballgame. Elliott across the timeline with thirty gets it
over to Burke. Burke on the lean, guarded by Metzger
in the corner of Montgomery. Montgomery up top to Icen

(01:22:47):
with twenty two left to play, Montgomery guarded by Francis,
back to Montgomery. Montgomery hailary from the corner. That's good.
Max Montgomery, the freshman, mops down the three nine seconds
mets Kert across the timeline five after regarded by Elliott
with three already, Francis is gonna try a deep free

(01:23:10):
from the wing, and that's no good. At the end
of the third quarter, it's a Dina forty six Mayne
Valley twenty six. You're listening to the accurate, eating, pulling,

As we starts the fourth quarter, road to tray and
look at some stats there from the third quarter. Yeah,
aDNA outscored Paint Valley eighteen to five in that quarter.

(01:24:21):
They went out to that fourteen off and run to
start the second half. For Adena. There's five or actually
Baker part of six scorers for Adena led by Gavin
HARRIDLD nineteen, Joey Francis with six, Colton Garrison with eleven,
and Colton Garrison was also thrown in four steals and
for the Paint Valley Bearcats no points in the third
quarter of Brendon Iceon with thirteen points starts the fourth quarter,

(01:24:46):
it'll be Paint Valley basketball. That's Iceland at the top
of the key, guarded by Francis, except his dribble gets
across corkers Einhart. Ryanhart's gonna try deep three from the wing,
and that's good, jays Ryan Hart. I fucking stroke. Yeah,
like you said, that was a deep three. But that's
a good shot out of the quarter break for Paint
Valley to get some momentum. Patina beats the pressure and

(01:25:09):
gets it across the timeline to Garrison, Garrison at the
top of the key, over to Francis, and we've got
a fowl on the screen there. I believe that's going
to be on Burke. Foul on Burke. It's gonna be
the first team thout of the quarter or four Paint Valley.
We'll have a sideline out of downd four Ada. He

(01:25:34):
had a lot of contact there on the screen. Couldn't
tell who initiated that, but from the rest it was
Burke from Paint Valley. Metzger download to Garrison, Garrison on
the block, spinning hooks shot up no good redown pulled
down by Montgomery, Chase Ryan Hard up the left side
picked up by Harold, backs it out to the center

(01:25:55):
court logo. Now Burke on the lane, guarded by Metzger,
looks a float shot in lane, No good rebound, pulled
down by Icing and he puts it in her two.
I'm saying Tody eleventh offensive rebound for paint Valley here
tonight forty six thirty four. Here early in the fourth quarter,
DNA leads Joey Francis with the ball. Garrison on the wing.

(01:26:20):
Now over to Preston's back to Francis. Down load gets
it to Harold. Harold shot in the block, No good rebound,
pulled down by Ryan Hart, saying, Valley looking to go
on a run of their own. Here Ryan Hart on
the wing picks up his dribble. Guarded there by, Harold
gets a download to icon. Icon spinning gets it to Montgomery.

(01:26:42):
Montgomery over to Burke. Now Ryan Hart in the corner.
He's gonna try another three. I think that one might
have been Kip. But he gets his own rebound and
that's no good rebound controlled there by Harold Preston up
to Francis. Francis tries a free from the corner. That's
no good long rebound controlled by Burke. Burke quickly the
other way. One man to beat, and he's found there

(01:27:03):
by Metzger. I'll tell you what, Chris, The pace of
this game is starting to pick up here in the
fourth quarter. Payint Valley has had nothing run to start
this fourth quarter. I've cut it down to twelve. Let's
see if they can to knock in a few shots,
get a couple more stops, get the single digits. Yeah,
so far in favor of the bearricats Ethan Burke at

(01:27:24):
the line shooting two, looking to cut it back to
a ten point game. First one, no good. Cooper Day
checks back in for the Warrior of replacing Joy Francis.
One more at the line for Burke. For see if

(01:27:45):
coach Holman really tries to set up their press after
this free throw attempt, That one no good for Burke.
Rebound pulled down by Garrison Harold up the right side.
Six minutes left to play here in the fourth quarter.
Harold driving offensive foul. Sometimes that strength just is too

(01:28:07):
much and they're gonna be called for pushing the shoulder there. Yeah,
his second found. He's done a really good job of
getting downhill into the bucket. That time was just a
little bit too off balance, and his strength just kind
of made it look a lot worse than what it
actually was and was a foul call. Forty six thirty
four Adena League. Ryan Hart in the corner up top

(01:28:30):
to icon icon picked up by Day at the top
of the key icon Owe to Ryan Hart. Ryan Hart
float shot in the lane. That's good. Back to a
ten point game. So far, nothing going for the Warriors
here in the fourth quarter. Metzger driving echoes out of bounds.
That will be off the Bear captain to be a

(01:28:51):
baseline out of bounds for aDNA. And tell you what,
if you're a Dina, you do not want to get
this allow this team back in the game. They're not
going to give up, but you have got to do
a better job on the offensive end of taking care
of the basketball and having quality possessions. Baseline out of
downs for Adena to Day gets it into Francis nowa
Day in the corner down low for Garrison. Garrison spending

(01:29:14):
on the block and he stepped out of downs. That'll
be another turnover for Adina. A lot of contact down
there on the base on this Garrison was trying to
get to the buckets on the stock Yeah, and that
was Jace Reinhard. He's done a really good job on
Garrison here tonight, making him uncomfortable in some of these
post ups. And now coach Day is going to want

(01:29:36):
a time out. We'll take a quick break. You're listening
to the accurate eating and cooling and plumbing game of
the night on ninety four Country WKKJ.

Speaker 3 (01:29:44):
Ten athletes, we'll face the toughest job interview in fitness
that will push past physical and mental breaking points.

Speaker 5 (01:29:54):
You are the fittest of the fifth only one of you.

Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
We'll leave here with an high fit contract for two
hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Speaker 6 (01:30:03):
This is where mindset comes in.

Speaker 7 (01:30:04):
Someone will be eliminated.

Speaker 12 (01:30:06):
Pressure is coming down.

Speaker 8 (01:30:09):
It's his trainer game.

Speaker 9 (01:30:11):
Watching on Prime video starting January eighth quarter back to
Adena High School.

Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
In the fourth quarter. Adena leads forty six thirty six
so far to start the fourth quarter, it's been all Bearcats.
They've cut it to a ten point lead. Yeah, and
Payton Valley has made three shots this quarter seven oh
run against Adena over three from the field. It starts
fourth quarter out of the time out, It'll be Bearcat basketball.

(01:30:47):
And I would add on to that Adena's over three
from the field with three turnovers here in the fourth
quarter and only not even three minutes into it. Elliott
with the ball for the Bearcats. Bring you're going to
cross the timeline. It's the ice in the top of
the key. Over to Ryan Hart on the wing. Ryan
Hart up top to Berg, over to Elliott. Elliott on

(01:31:07):
the wing guarded thereby. Francis gets it to Scott who
dumps it down to Ryan Hart. He's spinning in the lane.
He's turning around. Shot no good, but he's found Send
Jason Ryan Hart to the line for two. I'll tell
you what, Jace rein Hard is really playing good in
the fourth quarter. He's got five points going to the
line for two more, and he's played really good defensively.

(01:31:30):
He seems like he's not tired right now. He's got
that extra level of quickness here in the fourth quarter.
That fowl is on Harold. That's his third. He was
third of the quarter. First one up and good for
Ryan Hart. Preston chicks in for two per day. I'll
tell you what, guys, four minutes ago this game was
a forty four to twenty four game. Now it's forty

(01:31:53):
six thirty seven. One more at the line for Ryan Hart.
And when that one's short, long rebound controlled by Luke Preston,
chipped by Icon and strown away there by Icon. Loose
ball again, Man that goes to Metzker up the right
side in the corner. He's gonna be fouled. A lot

(01:32:18):
of contact there. You had to call that one. And
that's gonna be on thirteen birth that's his fourth teams
second of the quarter of forty six thirty seven and
Deena Leeds four forty left to go in the fourth quarter,
Metzgerda and bounds and that's gonna be a five second

(01:32:39):
violation on the wares another turnover. Yeah, that's four turnovers
here for the Warriors, and you are still a scoreless
here in the fourth quarter. Elliott with the ball for
the Bearcats, crosses the timeline with four thirty five left
to play in the fourth four nine point lead for

(01:33:02):
the Lawyers. Icon on the wing up top to Scott
Scott to Ryan Hart. It's been Rhinehart's quarter so far.
Ryan Hart's double team gets it over to Ice in
wide opening on the wing. His shot no good and
it's gonna go out of bounds. Gonna be a Deena
of basketball. Four eighteen left to play in the fourth quarter,

(01:33:22):
and now Payt Valley's really setting up their press. They're
gonna try and speed a Dina up and bound to Francis.
Old court pressure over to Metzger. Metzger crossport to Francis.
Francis on the wing, now gets it up top Garrison,
who tries a three that draws back iron long rebound
by Rhinehart. Warriors still scoreless here in the fourth quarter,

(01:33:46):
nine point lead, Paint Valley basketball icon on the wing,
guarded by Francis. Now Scott's gonna try three from the wing.
That's no good. Long rebound pulled down by Preston, up
to Francis. Rantis driving pulls it back cross court to Preston.
Now Metzger is gonna get it at the top of
the key, and Coach D's gonna call out the Adena offense.

(01:34:08):
With three point thirty left to play. Metzger goes all
the way to the bucket, He misses the layup, were
down pulled down by ice In, goes up the right side,
Icen dribbling to the top of the key, and he's
gonna pull it out and set up the Bearcat offense
and lank Stametska, we want to have that one back.
I was wide open and he just missed it. Elliott
on the wing gets it over to Scott. Scott to

(01:34:30):
Iceen Icen looking to drive and he was fouled. It's
gonna be a foul in the drive. That's Adna's fourth
foul of the quarter. So we'll have a baseline out
of bounds for the Bearcats. Second team quarter, second foul
on Linkston Metzger. Still Adena is scoreless in this fourth quarter.

(01:34:53):
There now zero for five from the field and the
fourth with four turnovers, three h nine left to play
in the fourth quarter, forty six thirty seven lead for Adena.
I believe we were just checking at the scores table
with how many fouls. We agreed that's four. Now it's

(01:35:13):
going to be a baseline out of bounds and bound
to Reinhart underneath the bucket turning. His shot goes off
to glass and no good rebound. Pulled down by Preston Garrison.
With the ball for the Warriors across the timeline under
three minutes left to play, Garrison dribbles it to the
wing up top Cooper day All on the wing up
top to Francis, you know, looking to just run some

(01:35:37):
clock here. Garrison dribbles it to the wing. Two forty
three left to play up top Cooper Day guarded by Elliott.
Elliott poked it out of bounds and that's going to
be a turnover a dina as it wasn't poked out
of bounds. I'm sorry that just went off of Cooper
Day's foot. Yeah, this is a due offense at Adena's

(01:35:58):
running here in the fourth floorth. I haven't ran in
the first three quarters. It requires a lot of ball
handling and a lot of good screens. So you know,
if if paint Valley's able to jump one of these
screens whenever it reverses and they get try and get
back to the middle, that could really just change this
momentum that paint Valley's really taken control of here in
the fourth quorder, Scott on the wings for the Bearcats.

(01:36:20):
Too's twenty left to play in the fourth quarter. Burke
over to Reinhart. He's gonna try a three from the corner.
That's no good rebound pulled down off of Anadena foot
and it'll be a baseline out of bounds for the Bearcats,
tell you what paint. Valley's got a lot of opportunities
to cut into this nine point lead. Elliott to inbounds,

(01:36:42):
gets it up top to Ice and Icen's gonna try
a three from the top of the key. That's no
good rebound tip by Ice in and it all throws
it off Garrison's leg and it'll remain Barricott basketball Dice
play there by Brandon Ice Payton Valley right now just
out oscillating the Adena Warriors. Elliott's inbound sideline out of bounds,

(01:37:03):
inbound to Ice and Icen dribbles cut off there by.
Francis gets it out to Elliott. Elliott with Ice in
there coming off the screen, gets it all the way
into the lane. Float shot, no good rebound pulled down
Mike Garrison under two minutes left to play. Joey Francis
with the ball for the Warriors in a nine point lead.
Francis on the right wing, dribbles into the corner. Bubble

(01:37:24):
teamed in the corner, gets into Cooper Day at the
bucket and he puts it in for two. Good job,
Cooper Day. Notice that Joey Francis was trapped there in
the corner. Cut towards the rim, wide open for the layup,
could finish Scott in the corner down low, Ryan Hart,
he's spinning. He puts it up and in with the foul,
till two chase for rein Hart to won a good

(01:37:45):
job here in the fourth quarter, getting his team back
into this one. His fourth chance to make it an
eight point game at the line, converting the three point play,
and that's gonna be four foulsand on Gavin Harold. Coach Day,
he's gonna leave him in there. Leads the Warriors tonight
with nineteen point Ryan Hart's free throw up and good

(01:38:07):
forty eight forty Adena leads under ninety seconds left to play.
Joey Francis at the center court Logo looks to drive,
backs it out, gets it to Garrison on the wing. Garrison,
guarded by Ryan Hart, loses his defender, gets it over
to Francis. Francis download Garrison at the block, picks it
out to Cooper Day. Nadina doesn't need to score here,

(01:38:29):
just run offense like you're doing. Francis in the corner,
guarded there by Burke. With the four fouls, Burke falls down.
Francis drives a three that's no good rebound pulled down
by Harold. Dump it downloaded Garrison as he was falling
in garrison Wood today. Yeah, what'll pass right there by
Gavin Harold as he was falling down, and Harold steal
it and then dribbles it off his foot and then

(01:38:49):
he'll be out of bounds. Pink Valley Basketball ten point game,
fifty forty Adena Leeds and we're gonna have a four
pay full time out for the Bear Caps with fifty
three point five left to go here in the fourth quarter,
a fifty to forty lead for Paint Valley. I believe

(01:39:12):
that was their first points there Cooper Days and then Garrison.
Those are the first four points for a Dina there
in the fourth quarter. Yeah, Dina was held scoreless for
six minutes for us. And now they've got two baskets
there late in the fourth quarter. And yeah, ten point
lead going into this time out. I believe was there

(01:39:33):
about a minute left in the game here they're fifty
five secon fifty five. Yeah at Paint Valley able to
get it to a nine point game with about four
thirty left to play. They were getting turnovers, but they
just weren't able to convert at the bucket, and that's
why it is a ten point game here with fifty
seconds left to play and a big reason Paint Valley

(01:39:55):
has gotten to this spot in the fourth quarter is
Jase Reini, who has nine points of the fourth alone.
He is up to thirteen now for the Bearcats. All
the night out of the timeout would be is it
bear capes bear Cat basketball? Ten point lead for the
Warriors with fifty three point five left to go here

(01:40:17):
in the fourth quarter, Elliott the n bounds gets it
into Burke, Burke download to Ryan Hart, and Ryan Hart
spinning turnaround shot no good gets it a rebound and
puts it back in. Makes it a fifty to forty
two games forty seconds. Francis to Preston to Garrison across
the timeline thirty seven. Trooper Day in the corner up

(01:40:38):
top to Garrison two three fouls to give for Paint
Valley sorry, two fouls to give and Ryan Hart's gonna
foul Garrison there with twenty eight point three, one more
foul to give for them before Adeena's in the bonus
team's first sideline out of bounds for adena eight point lead.

(01:41:00):
Cooper Day into Garrison and he's fouled on the inbound pass,
and that'll be the fourth team foul for and that's
gonna be I think Reinhart's fouled out. Yeah, I think
that's gonna five on Ryanhart, which is a big cross
for Paint Valley. He's had eleven points here in the
fourth quarter. Team can't blame him for that one. Yeah,

(01:41:24):
Ryan Hardy had a great fourth quarter there for Paint
Valley when they really needed And so twenty seven point
two left to go here in the fourth quarter, an
eight point lead for a Dina, it'll be a sideline
out of bounds. Next foul for Paint Valley. We'll put
a Dina in the two shot bonus alright, right, Montgomery

(01:41:47):
checks in for Brian Hart, it'll be a sideline out
of bounds. Cooper Data inbounds and he gets it into
Garrison in the back court. I left to play. He's
gonna be found there by Yson Good. So we're gonna
get Garrison at the line for two number five. Third,

(01:42:09):
that was a third foul on Ice in team two.
Twenty four point four left to go here in the
fourth quarter, or an eight point lead for Adina in
Garrison at the line for two first one up, that's
no goods. But if you're paying Valley, you gotta be
super aggressive and get ginos of the foul line. Hopefully

(01:42:31):
they can miss like they have been. And one for
two at the line for Garrison makes it fifty one,
icing with the ball twenty seconds left to play, top
of the key over to Montgomery, say gets in the
lane up walk away there by Garrison bos baughted gold
by Preston and Luke Preston's gonna be fouled in the
back court thereby Scott with thirteen point seven left to play.

(01:42:57):
That was a really nice move. There by Montgomery's got fake,
got around him, but unfortunately got his shot under three.
Luke Preston, that's the line shooting two got to hit
on the court. I'm not sure whose that is. Ryan
Hart goes and picks him up. Mustn't be irrelative, surprise,

(01:43:19):
is not one of your grandkids here, Louke. Yeah, well,
I think they've all left the building, or also may
have been one, but nicest sis thereby Jase Reinharden taking
care of that. The first one was no good for Luke.
Preston remains fifty one with thirty seven thirty thirteen point
seven left the play. Second one is good him bound

(01:43:42):
to Elliott. Ten point game. Elliott over to Scott. Scott's
three from the wing. That's good. A nice looking shot
Kane Scott. Three seconds left in bound, Sir Francis. Francis,
well hold it and run out the clock. At the
end of the four for Adena fifty k Valley forty five.

(01:44:04):

She said, oh, you know, I burnt today. I burnt
my hand and it's really bad.

Speaker 4 (01:45:20):
He was worried.

Speaker 2 (01:45:22):
It looked like wrinkled skin. To the skin got blisters
to the skin came off.

Speaker 12 (01:45:28):
Then John had an idea.

Speaker 21 (01:45:30):
He flew his mother to California and they went to
a clinic where she got stem cells, and just like that,
her hands started to get better. It even cured her arthritis.

Speaker 4 (01:45:44):
So the boy was life changing for me.

Speaker 2 (01:45:46):
Really loved changing, aside from really.

Speaker 21 (01:45:48):
Wyant for John's mom. The treatment worked across the country.
In Texas, Elaine Dilly tried to help her mother with
stem cells, just like John had done.

Speaker 4 (01:46:00):
My husband and I would do anything to help her,
but she would not be so lucky.

Speaker 23 (01:46:05):

This is the postgame report on ninety four Country w KKJA.
Today's game is presented by Accurate Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing. Now,
let's head courtside Pierce Low and Chris Postage.

Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
Well, welcome back to Adena High School, where the final
score was the Adena Warriors fifty two and the Paint
Valley Bearcats forty five. We'll go over to Trey and
looked at some stats here from tonight's contest.

Speaker 1 (01:47:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:47:29):
First, for the Paint Valley Bearcats, they were led and
scored by Brendan Iisen and Jace Reinhart. Each had fifteen points.
Brennan Isen also threw in six rebounds, and Jace Reinhart
threw in four rebounds. As a team, Paint Valley only
shot twenty nine percent from the field seventeen for fifty eight.
For the Adena Warriors, they shot a little bit better

(01:47:49):
twenty one for forty from the field fifty two percent
from the field, led in scoring by Gavin Harrold, who
had nineteen points and four rebounds. Colt Garrison had a
big night fourteen points, seven rebounds, four steals in two walks,
and Joey Francis threw in six points with eight rebounds
to go for the Adena Warriors. Yeah, good night there

(01:48:11):
for the Warriors. It got close there in the third quarter.
I think they got away from themselves there after they
had that explosive third quarter. The fourth quarter, they just
couldn't quite get it going and they and credit to
Paint Valley, they didn't give up, No Paynte Valley. You know,
they were down twenty to twenty points with about one

(01:48:32):
five to go in that third quarter, and then the
rest of the way it was sixteen to six. So
they didn't give up. They kept playing hard and they
battled themselves right back in this ball game, and they
had an opportunity. They really had their chance there in
the fourth quarter. There was a run where they were
getting turnovers, but I think most of their misshots came
in that possession where they were they were only down nine. Yeah,

(01:48:55):
and again credit to Paynt Valley. You know, Adena took
a big run at him and then Paynton Valley was
you know, didn't give up. They just kept going at it.
And coach Coleman has done a good job with his
young team. And again that's what people have to understand.
This is a young team. Jace Reinhurt's a senior and
Landon Elliott's a senior, and they did good things for

(01:49:17):
this team tonight. But those younger players are still coming
and again they showed tonight why teams have to worry
about them. Adena took them on a big run. And
give credit to Dina and they're in that third quarter.
But what Adena has to do. They have to be
able to finish game strong, and they had an opportunity
on Tuesday, was not able to get that win. Now,

(01:49:40):
they did finish it up here tonight, but probably not
the way coach Day wanted it to end. Good night
for Gavin Harold Trace said nineteen. A lot of those
coming in that between the second and third quarter from
the young sophomore he's shown a lot earlier this season. Yeah,
he has. And again he used his strength a lot
here tonight to get those buckets. But when he plays

(01:50:03):
under control, and he plays with his head up and
he plays looking at the bucket, he is a really
good player. And again we got to remember he is
only a sophomore, so he is learning. And I thought tonight,
I thought Colton Garrison played well for the Dena Warriors,
especially about midway through the game where they really needed

(01:50:27):
him to step up. He did. Fans tonight's game will
be available for replay starting tomorrow morning. CLICKWKKJ dot com,
look for our podcast page, search for WKKJ on the
iHeartRadio app or wherever you listen to podcasts. All right,
we now have with us Payton Valley coach Marcus Coleman

(01:50:49):
and coach credit to your team tonight. aDNA made a
big run at you there in the third quarter, and
actually going back to the end of the second quarter,
they went on a twenty to nothing run.

Speaker 23 (01:51:00):
Yes, yes they did.

Speaker 2 (01:51:02):
You were down for twenty four but they made it
a game. Yeah to your team.

Speaker 23 (01:51:08):
Those kids just play so hard.

Speaker 24 (01:51:10):
I mean, like I keep telling them, I just told
them in there, just one trip at a time, we're
going to find our way. We're young, inexperienced. They fight
so hard. I hate to be a team that plays
us in January and February.

Speaker 23 (01:51:25):
We're going to grow. You know, we're young.

Speaker 24 (01:51:28):
Like say, you got two freshmen, two sophomores, junior and
or two seniors on the floor.

Speaker 23 (01:51:34):
A lot of times.

Speaker 24 (01:51:35):
Inexperienced, and it just happens. And our guys, I gotta
give them credit. I mean, they don't quit. No matter
how far they're down. They always still think they can win.
I mean, and we've been defeated, but they're not depleted.
That's they still want to play. They still show up.
We go harder to practice. It's just the inexperience gets

(01:51:55):
us down the stretch. Like I told them, I said
there again tonight. Late in the third they away from us,
and then we fought our guts out in the fourth
quarter to get back in it. And it just you
just can't overcome that when you're when you're inexperience, and
it starts to wear on them.

Speaker 23 (01:52:09):
And I'm very proud of them.

Speaker 2 (01:52:10):
What I've seen in the two games i've seen you guys,
is you have multiple guys that can score. Now tonight,
I thought Brendan Isen really carried you early in the game. Yes, uh,
but then in the fourth quarter stepped up. Yes he
has Ryan for you.

Speaker 23 (01:52:25):
Fantastic job back at bringing us back Landing. It just
wasn't Landings night, and we missed way too many bunnies. Inside.

Speaker 24 (01:52:33):
I think our kids were just hurrying it, you know,
they were just excited. They they kind of felt that
we could get this one. Yeah, you know, I mean
this was one they felt that should have been theirs.
And there I feel it. They're pain, you know, Like
I told them, we just get back at it first
thing in the morning and get ready for Tuesday. You know,
Zane Trace another great team in the conference that we
got to play. We just got to show up and

(01:52:54):
buy them and hope ball goes our way.

Speaker 2 (01:52:57):
Well, coach, we have enjoyed the two games. We see you.

More than one hundred had been reported killed in just

the previous five years. She told friends about threatening phone
calls she'd get. She said, strange cars followed her on
the road.

Speaker 11 (01:54:33):
She knew that she was very much still being targeted
and still at risk of being killed.

Speaker 2 (01:55:40):
Welcome back to Adena High School, where the Adina Warriors
were victorious fifty two forty five over the Paint Valley bearricats.
Adena moves to three and two on the season and
Paint Valley falls to zero and six. We're now joined
by victorious head coach coach Andrew Day, Well, coach, first
of all, one of my keys was I wanted to

(01:56:01):
see how your team came out after Tuesday night, and
you guys really gutted one out there and he ended
up losing his ay trace. But I thought, overall, you
guys came out and then all of a sudden, it
was like execution on the offensive end, they just couldn't
find it. Yeah, I really disappointed in our execution.

Speaker 26 (01:56:20):
Didn't handle the ball very well against a team that doesn't,
you know, do a whole lot of full court pressure.
Just just didn't pass, didn't catch, didn't sprint, cuts, didn't
do all the things that that we talked about on
a daily basis. And I think that was the result.
I will say this, and I told coach Coleman this
before the game. The thing that stands out on film

(01:56:41):
when I watched them play is how hard they played
and they got after it, and and you know, I
think that probably had something to do with it.

Speaker 2 (01:56:48):
But I didn't think we responded to their effort tonight.
I thought Harold, Gavin, Harold kept you in the game early.
He really had a nice You took him out and
you had a little talking to and then he went
back in. I thought he played really hard for you. Yeah,
they're especially in that second quarter. Yeah, no, he did.
And uh he's a he's a strong kid man. You know.

Speaker 26 (01:57:10):
There were probably four or five takes tonight where he
had two guys you know, just kind of draped on
him and he just, uh you was physical through it
and you know, did did some good things getting the.

Speaker 2 (01:57:21):
Ball to the rim.

Speaker 26 (01:57:21):
So uh, yeah, he gave us a really nice offensive
spark then the second quarter, which we absolutely needed.

Speaker 2 (01:57:27):
And we could talk about a really nice and a
positive offensive end was that twenty to nothing run that
dated the end of the second quarter through the third quarter.
Twenty nothing run put you up by twenty.

Speaker 26 (01:57:38):
Yeah, And and you know, one thing we talked about
in the locker room is when you have those when
you when you're able to stretch it out like that,
you got to be able to finish, right, And and
I thought we played really really well in that stretch
there in the third quarter, but we didn't finish as
well as we need to. And and against you know,
against quality teams, especially you know, going on the road
on Tuesday to South Eastern, you gotta be able to

(01:58:02):
take advantage of those opportunities.

Speaker 2 (01:58:04):
Yeah, in that Ping Valley team, they answered right back
and they scored just sixteen to six for the rest
of the way. But you guys were able to hold
on him. Made some big buckets late Cooper day. And
also I believe Garrison a great job of Harold getting
on the floor as he's falling down he through. Is
it to Garrison for a bucket? Those were big? Yeah.

Speaker 26 (01:58:22):
Absolutely. You know, we talk about wanting to be the
first team on the floor every night. I didn't think
we necessarily were all night tonight, but there were some
key plays where I thought our guys did a good
job of getting on the floor.

Speaker 2 (01:58:34):
I think overall tonight it was a really nice night
here at Adena. You you honored the SBC teams from
the past, they came back and again I thought it
was a good showing bildest.

Speaker 26 (01:58:44):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, it was a packed house tonight. A
lot of those former players showed up. You know, It's
it's one of those thing. It's kind of a full
circle night for me. I got my start coaching under you,
and you know, and then I coached under coach Bradley's
now my staff and you know, basketball when you when
you're around the scheme long enough, it ritually rewards you

(01:59:07):
in relationships and uh so just really feeling grateful for that.

Speaker 2 (01:59:11):
You were also under coach Smith. Yeah, absolutely here, That's
what I was saying, telling these guys, it's a heck
of a staff that that guy back in six put together,
and uh it was No, that was a fun year
and then you came on and we really enjoyed all that.
But tonight this was a fun night. And you're coming
away with the who do you got coming up? Yeah,
we've got at Southeastern on Tuesday. Have that one here

(01:59:34):
on WKKJ.

Speaker 26 (01:59:35):
Yeah, they're they're a good team. They're physical, and we're
gonna have to play well to go to go over
there and get a win.

Speaker 2 (01:59:42):
All right, Well we'll see Tuesday night. Best of luck. Then,
all right, thanks guys, Thank you. That was victorious head
coach and Drew to day his team coming out to
a fifty two forty five victory tonight here moving to
five hundred in SBC play. Well, big thanks to Trey

(02:00:04):
for stepping in tonight. And you know, it was one
of those nights where I am feeling better. I wanted
to be here and but Trey was able to step
in and help us out a little bit tonight. You
and I everything going well. We'll be back on Tuesday
night when we travel to Southeastern for these a DM
Awards and take on Southeastern. But overall fun night here

(02:00:25):
on WKKJ and Coach Day coined this one. As you're
a flu game, you can say yes, we think Trey
for stepping intoing stats and filling in for you time
to time. Well for all of us here for Trey, Lou,
myself and Sydney back in the studio who always makes
us sound much better than we actually are. We thank
