And Lenards with the audio technical pregame show. Here's Andrew
Day and Lou post Edge.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Welcome to Pickaway County and a wonderful Pickaway.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
County rivalry game.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Here we are at west Fall High School tonight where
the West Fall Mustangs will take on the Circleville Tigers.
We have two undefeated teams coming into this game, both
two and O looking to come out of week two
still undefeated. I am Lou Postage. I'm alone with Andrew
Day Andrew. Two undefeated teams, both county rivals, both in
(00:38):
different leagues.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
These are the games you'd like to see in the preseason.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Absolutely, this is it's shaping up to be a really
good game.
Speaker 5 (00:46):
Like you said, both teams are two and oh.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
One of these teams will head into league play next
week with all kinds of momentum and the other team
will have to pick up the pieces and try to
get things back on track.
Speaker 5 (00:56):
So this is a big game for both teams.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
And honestly, Lou, after two games where we've had running
clocks in the second half, I'm hoping we just see
a really good game tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah, we'd love to see a game that is clock
stopping in the second half. But again, looking at both
these teams coming into this game, they both really like
to run the ball mostly, and it's going to come
down to which team is going to basically control the
line of scrimmage on both sides absolutely, which team can
(01:27):
get a push up front, which team can you know,
move the offensive defensive line, and that team's gonna have
a huge advantage tonight. Well, we've got another wonderful weekend,
perfect weather here for a Friday night Fossfall game. What
a wonderful atmosphere. The stands are starting to.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Fill up here.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Earlier this week I was able to talk to both
coaches and get their thoughts on tonight's games and where
their teams are. So right after this message, we will
hear both of those interviews and you are listening two

Speaker 2 (05:23):
So I'm now talking with Circleville head coach Jay share it.
Before we get to your team, let's talk about your
decision to turn the page and add another chapter to
your career. That has to be really cool to get
back to your alma matering coach.
Speaker 15 (05:36):
Well, it happened to line up just when we kind
of had our forty year reunion. And you know, when
the job came open, there wasn't too many other jobs
out probably coming out of retirement for but when it
was circle will and you know, I'm alum there and uh,
you know, it's a little bit of drive from my
house but not too bad. And my wife got her
head kind of in a spind there for a while,
but nowshe's one hundred percent behind it and the kids.
(05:57):
Sometimes it's almost like looking at yourself walking through the
locker room. But I'm glad I made that decision. I'm
glad I'm in Circleville and could be happier at this point.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Well, coach, your team is off to a two and
zero start. What are some of the things you like
about your team right now you've learned about them and
talk about some of the leaders that have emerged from
your team.
Speaker 15 (06:14):
Oh, well, we started this back in March and moving
into April. You know, with our weight program, that's one
of the things I'm very pleased with. They've built strength
that maybe they hadn't had before. Not only did they
build it, but I think what they've done is they've
transferred it. Why I know, they've transferred it to the field,
and they're using that strength to leverage players and to
make ourselves more physical and hopefully that shows up tonight
(06:37):
on Friday.
Speaker 16 (06:37):
When when we got there playing, people notice that part.
Speaker 15 (06:40):
But you know, when you got guys in the weight
room like Aidan Spencer, Tyler Conrad goes By TC and
some other guys who were just led by the weight room,
they're not super vocal. The guys saw how they got strong,
and then we got some more guys in the weight room,
more guys in the weight room, and you know, we
were thirty five in the weight room, forty then over
fifty and that kind of number held out throughout the summer.
(07:01):
So I couldn't be happier. And you know you mentioned
we're off to a tuna start. Cole Nungsternunguser, who was
a leader last year receiving the ball. He's done all
sorts of different things for us this year and our
quarterback huts and failings. He's done everything I've asked him
to do, a whole new system, a whole new check system,
and he's done really well.
Speaker 16 (07:20):
And those guys are two big.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Parts of why we started to And oh, coach, looking
at your roster, you do have a lot of seniors
that are out there on the field for you. You're
going to be taking your team on the road for
the first time this year. Does it help having some
of that senior leadership.
Speaker 16 (07:34):
I think it's a whole.
Speaker 15 (07:35):
Different dynamic because now you're taking travel bags, you're putting
them on the hand, you're going, You're going to a
strange locker room. And I just think they have to
have their feet on the ground. They got to get
the lay of the land, get the field of it.
But I think once you know, we kick the ball
off and the game starts, the fields just like any
other field.
Speaker 16 (07:51):
But you know, West Falls gets out.
Speaker 15 (07:53):
There maybe twenty minutes, maybe thirty minutes by bus, but
it's not that long of a bus, right, So I
think those guys get out there and get their feet
on the ground.
Speaker 16 (08:00):
I just think we'll play good football.
Speaker 15 (08:02):
And if we can keep improving like we have from
week one to week two, and if we improve from
week two to week three, then you know, going in
against a tough opponent like West Fall sitting too you
can ask for a better match up this early.
Speaker 16 (08:14):
In the season.
Speaker 15 (08:14):
And and you know, being a pickaway county school that
adds to it a little bit more. But I think
our guys will be ready they've got their feet on
the ground, and whether we're playing at home or way,
you got to play good football, and you got to
tackle and you got to hit.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Coach, talk about that little county rivalry you have there.
You know there too. You know, as you said, what
do you see out of the Mustangs and what are
you expecting to see from them this Friday?
Speaker 15 (08:35):
Well, first thing that jumps out, I mean, they're very
well coached. They know exactly what they're doing. They arrive
on time, and when they're when their plays are timed
very well, they are very difficult to stop.
Speaker 16 (08:46):
You know.
Speaker 15 (08:46):
Hopefully we can get them out of that timing because
some of their pass plays, some of the run plays
have a lot of timing involved, and when they get
the kick out and the lead up through they they
are very difficult to start. So hopefully we can do
some things defensively. Our our defense coore there. John Pottaguliar
has done a great job. It's his first year a
circle will also he comes to us from Piqua, and
if you can kind of maybe mess up that time
(09:08):
in or get it out of sink a little bit
during the game and if they make a mistake, we
definitely have to capitalize it and it wouldn't be surprised.
This game, just like our first year games, won't be
cited until late and fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Well, coach, we appreciate your time invest of like this Friday.
Speaker 16 (09:22):
Thank you. I appreciate it and appreciates coverage. Take care.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Next we will hear from west Fall head coach Logan
step when we come back on the Adina Health System

This is hometown high school football coverage with the Audio
Technica pregame Show on ninety four Country WKKGA.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
It's pregame show. I am now talking with Westfall head
coach Logan's step. Coach, your team is off to a
two and zero start, the best since you've been there.
Talk about what you have seen out of your team
this year and what is different from previous years this
So this.
Speaker 16 (13:01):
Year is a little bit different.
Speaker 26 (13:03):
We've been able to establish a run game better than
we have in the previous years, and that's allowed us
to do a lot of things offensively. One we've been
able to play really fast. Two, we've been able to
take the open shots downfield and complete those passes. And
three it's allowed us to have two really good running
backs behind a really good offensive line rushed for over
two hundred yards a game. So we're doing some different
(13:25):
things this year as far as the run game goes.
So that's I think really allowed our offense to develop
a little bit more. And that's kind of been the
fact that I think offensively, defensively, we've just been able
to be really simple. We haven't done a lot of things,
you know, we got a lot of things still in
the back pocket that we are, you know, just waiting
to pull out if we need to. So that's helped us.
(13:45):
And then our kids are just a little bit different
this year. They've spent a lot of time in the
off season together doing things, some team building things that
I just haven't either known about or seen in the past,
and I think that's helped them develop a better relationship
with each other.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Coach, you talk about that team bonding this year. You've
got some experienced guys back, some of them been with
you three years. Talk about how that leadership helps your team.
Speaker 26 (14:09):
Yeah, so this will be the first year where everybody
in the program has been coached by me. And that
is not a slight to the previous staff or head coach,
because I really respect Brad and what he does and
what he did. But it's just allowed this group of
players to understand the offense more than they ever have.
(14:30):
Right they've been They've been through the offense for four years,
they've been through our defense for four years, they've been
through everything for now four years. So that is a
big plus. You know, just being able to be a
part of the program and the culture that we're trying
to instill in these kids for four years now has helped.
That's what I would credit that to. And then obviously
the kids have more on field playing experience than they
(14:51):
ever have, so that helps.
Speaker 16 (14:52):
Coach.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
You've already talked about offensively and your two running backs
and your quarterback. You talk about that sort of the
strength of your team being able to establish that run.
Talk individually about some of those players and how important
they are, and then also the offensive line as well.
Speaker 26 (15:08):
Yeah, so I'm gonna start with the offensive line, right,
They're the They're the most important part of this whole thing. Right,
If we don't have any of those dudes up front,
we're not we're not going anywhere, you know. With all
league returning lineman Mason Holderman, he's he's our center right now,
and uh, he's really directing traffic up there. We're returning
another offensive lineman, Canaan Vandyne. He played a lot for
(15:29):
us last.
Speaker 16 (15:29):
Year, and and then we were you.
Speaker 26 (15:32):
Know, we're adding simple pieces there too. Right, we have
Russ Callahan that's returning, but he moves the position so
he was was tackled last year, but now he's at
left guard. And then Sutton f has been a great
addition to that that offensive line too playing right guard,
and then sophomore Dom Andrea has has been a.
Speaker 15 (15:48):
Good addition as well.
Speaker 26 (15:50):
And then there's you know, some good pieces right behind
them with Dawson fan and is the next guy in
and he's he's put a lot of time and effort
into being that person. So we have a little bit
of that there. And as far as the quarterback or
the quarterback goes as a j. Poddocks, he's been a
starter for two years and then now talking to the
running backs right, so Joey Wright will be a four
year starter and has the potential to a clip four
(16:12):
thousand yards this year in total. And then his cousin,
actually Eli Right is a sophomore and got a lot
of carries last year too and in big moments in games.
So him developing into a better, more physical running back
this year has been a key to our offense.
Speaker 27 (16:27):
Coach.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
The team he faced Friday, the Circlevil Tigers. They are
also coming into and oh this is a big county
rival game. Talk a little bit about what you see
from the Tigers and what you expect from them on Friday.
Speaker 26 (16:39):
You know, they're a downhill, physical football team. You know,
they run the ball a lot. A lot of their
success has come actually on big plays behind their quarterback.
Right their quarterback is a multi year starter. They got
a transfer last year from Tays Valley that has been
a big part of their offense too. Now their offense
looks different than last year, but he's a big part
of the offense still. And then they have some you know,
some good key kill players out on the edge too.
(17:01):
They have a solid offensive line that's pretty big. And
then the same thing with defense right there. I don't
know if they're three to three or four two. They
do a little bit of both, but they send guys
at you in every direction and they expect, you know,
that they're going to get home before you can get
the ball out, and that you're not going to get
the block that you need to run. You know, they're
multiple in both both offense and defense. And obviously they've
(17:22):
got a Hall of Fame coach now at the helm,
so you know, coaching against someone like that will be
a challenge, and we know that, and you know, I
respect the time that he's put into the game and
the effort that he's put into the game. So it
should be a good electric game Friday with a great atmosphere.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Well, coach, We're looking forward to that atmosphere as well.
Thank you for your time here today and best luck

Welcome back to west Fall High School as we get
ready for tonight's battle between the west Fall Mustangs and
the Circleville Tigers. As we look at tonight's game, let's
look at the Keys to the Game presented by Home
Loans by Jen. The key to better living starts with
a visit to home Loans by Jen with helpful credit
(21:32):
plans to get you approved faster. Look for Home Loans
by Jen on Facebook and secure the Keys to your
new home with Jennifer Conley Andrew. What are some of
the keys to the night's games?
Speaker 4 (21:46):
Well, I think for Westfall you have to slow down
Cold nungister. He is do it all running back. For Circleville,
they're going to use him in a variety of ways.
They're going to get creative and how they get him
the ball they want to put the ball in his hands.
And so if or west Fall, you've got to find
a way. You're not gonna stop him. He's he's a
really good player. But if you can slow him down,
(22:06):
not let him get those big chunk plays, you're gonna
give yourself a chance to get off the field quicker
and get your offense on the field offensively. For west Fall,
they've got to be able to establish the run. It's
what they do, it's their identity. Uh. Coming into this game,
we learned that west Fall's best running back, Joey Wright,
is not available tonight. That certainly affects their game plan some.
(22:28):
But they're gonna lean on his cousin Eli and h
he's got to have an effective game. And then aj Poddocks,
the junior quarterback, probably gonna have to lean on him
a little bit more tonight. And he's been really, really
efficient so far this season, but he's probably gonna have to, uh,
you know, take that next step and make some plays
tonight for them to come out victorious.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
So again, we we've got a game here tonight, have
two undefeated teams, two teams that are are looking to
keep that going into weaknumber four We thank you for
listening to tonight's pregame show. That is the Adena Health
System pregame show on the Accurate Heating, Cooling Plumbing Game
of the Week on ninety four Country w KKJ.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country w KKJ. Today's game is presented by Accurate Heating,
Cooling and Plumbing and brought to you by Home Loans
by Jan Kroger, the Savings Bank Shine on Chillicoffee and
Minards now from the Audio Technicum broadcast. But Pears Andrew
(23:39):
Day and lou Postage.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
Well, the crowd is getting riled up here. It is
nearing game time. We are waiting for Westfall to come
through their little makeshift tunnel and make their entrance. But
we've had the pregame coin flip and that was won
by the west Fall Mustangs where they will defer to
the second half.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
That means Circleville will get.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
The ball first to open this game and west Fall
will defend the west end zone. That is the end
zone to the right on your radio dial. Let's look
at some of the starters for the Circleville Tigers. First,
on offense, they will start their line off with left
tackle Brayden Brisker, left guard Ari Travis, center is Caden McGirk,
(24:31):
right guard is TC Conrad, and the right tack was
Aden Spencer. Their quarterback is senior Hudson Falen and as
Andrew mentioned in the Keys to the Game, there everything
does everything. Running back Cole Nunguster. He has multiple touchdowns
on the year, and he normally gets about, you know,
(24:54):
fifty sixty yards rushing, fifty sixty yards receiving. We'll see
him getting the ball in multiple ways. Also in the backfield,
you're going to see number two Ray Edsel and number
four Kaiser Cassidy. They will go through a lot of
different receivers, namely number five Jack Klein, number nine Braxton Duncle,
(25:14):
number fifteen Drake Klinger, number forty four Blake Patterson, and number.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Eleven Alex Bradlin.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
And there'll be some others in there too, and we'll
get those names out there for the Westfall Mustangs. On defense,
their defensive line starts with Caden van Dine, Russ Callahan,
Mason Halderman, and I believe we saw Dominic Andrea out
there as well. Ethan Rose will be part of that
defense as well, Eli Wright, Rick Henley, Aiden Layton, and
(25:46):
Creasin Humphrey, as well as Quinn Eberley, Aiden Daniels and
Carson Deskins.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
We are getting ready here.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
As west Fall lines up to kick off, their kicker
is going to be number one, Carson Deskins. Both these
kickers Andrew have pretty good legs. They can get it
down there on the kickoffs, so we'll see how adventurous
these kickoffs become. Looks like Circleville is ready for a
short kick here and we'll see how they adjust back
(26:18):
deep for Circleville is number four and that is Kaiser
Cassidy as well as ray Edzell. And is that number
fifteen Drake Klinger. Here is the kickoff. It comes down
to Clinger at about the fifteen. He goes straight up
(26:40):
the field, gets to the thirty where he is going
to be tackled and it's going to be Circleville ball
at their own thirty three yard line. Well, Andrew, this
will be exciting here. I think both these teams want
to get off to a good start, and Buckerville wants
(27:00):
to keep a sustained drive down the field, I'm sure,
whereas west Fall wants to get a three and out
and get their offense out there.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Yeah, and like you've mentioned, lou with both teams being
from the same county, there's some familiarity there sometimes early
that leads to, you know, some extra energy, and sometimes
it's the team that can kind of compose themselves in
those moments that starts off better.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Well, we had a guy not in the game. We
had a rest one on there. But Faalian is under
center for Circleville. He's going to hand off to number
four Kaiser. Cassidy goes straight up the middle and he's
going to get about two yards onto play. I believe
that was the middle of the entire west Fall defense
that got in there to sort of stop him.
Speaker 4 (27:45):
Well, they faked the handoff going one way and then
went back to Cassie in the middle, but west Fall
did a good job of staying disciplined.
Speaker 5 (27:50):
And wrap them up.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
Here's a staple of a J. Sheried offense.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
You're going to get a lot of guys in the
backfield in and out of the game.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
So you got a whole new backfield. You got guest in.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
The game right now, You've got number forty four and
Blake Patterson as an h back and Falan goes under center,
Patterson in motion hands off, Thenngustur he goes off the
left side. He finds a little hole. He's got the
first down. He's at the fifty yard line. He's going
to be pushed out of bounce at about the forty
(28:22):
seven yard line of west Fall. He does not need
a lot of room in there. He is able to
get through a small tight hole and get a good
what twenty plus yards?
Speaker 4 (28:33):
Yeah, and he's not only is he quick, but he's strong.
So a couple guys there struggle to take him down.
Finally west Fall is able to knock him out of bounds,
but he uh, he's an electric running back for sure.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Down marker over there says third down, but it is
first down for Circleville in west Fall territory. Filing in
a pistol formation. Now he's got looks like Patterson on
one side and Edzell on the other. Fakes to Edzel.
He keeps it up the middle failing. He gets good
yardage and he's going to get all the way down
to about the thirty five yard line. That's going to
(29:06):
be a gain of thirteen first down Circleville.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
Yeah, it'll be interesting too with all these different people
that Circleville is running in and out. How does that
affect west Fall's stamina, especially as the game goes on
into the second half. Is west Fall gonna have enough
bodies to be able to be.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Able to keep up three plays, three different guys carrying
the ball.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Failing goes under center. He's got nunguster behind.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Him, hands off to him, coming around the right hand
side this time, and he's going to be stopped after
a short game that looked like number eleven or twenty,
number twenty. There you go, Chris Humphrey, number twenty. So
that'll bring up a second down and eight from the
(29:56):
thirty two yard line for Circleville. Get in no hurry,
making sure they are in the correct formation. We're in
the pistol formation here with Falan. He has Cassidy to
his right.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
Yeah, they've got an unguesters split out really wide here.
We'll see if they do something creative here to.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
Get him a ball.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Falan keeps it. He's going around the left hand side.
He's going to get another first down. That's going to
be a gain of about ten. So again, great job
of ball handling thereby. Falan doing a good job of
faking it and keeping it there. I don't know if
that would be read that he had there to be
(30:39):
able to keep it well.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
He's certainly a weapon from the quarterback position, which makes
it all more tough as a defense to have to
account for another player on the offensive side who can
make something happen with his legs.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
So, first down at the twenty three yard line of
West Fall is Circleville. Falan's in the pistol formation with
Younguster to his left hand side.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
He's going to hand off. He's coming around the right
hand side.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
He's got an opening good tackle there in the defensive
backfield by number five Quinn Everley. But that is after
a gain of ten twelve yards on the play for
Youngister and another first down for the Circleville Tigers.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
Well, right now the circle of offensive line, lou is
doing a really good job of getting push up front
and not allowing anybody on the defensive line to get
a hand on any of the running backs or the
quarterback that's running.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Falan looks like he's up under center. He's got Cassidy
and Edzel in the backfield. Takes a snap, fakes to Cassidy,
gives the Edgel around the left hand side. He's going
to be brought down at the line of skrimin great
shoe string tackle by Cayden mccurio.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
Yeah, it was one on one out there. If he
didn't get him, he was gonna be able to take
it to the house. But Kaid knew a good job
of standing in front and wrapping him up.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
So that's gonna bring up a second down and ten
from the eighteen yard line.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
No, I'm sorry, that is the.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Fourteen yard line. Fling under center, Younguster the only back
in the backfield. We got some motion to the right,
hands off the Younguster up the middle. He's still going
and it looks like he's going to be close inside
the five yard line.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
It's going to be a good for a first down.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
That's gonna be a gain of about eight yards on
the play. That's going to bring up a first and goal.
And they go quick right here. Falan gets them right
up to the line of scrimmage. He's going under center.
He's got a full house backfield with Younguster behind the two,
and guess who's going.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
To get the ball.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
It's going to be a Younguster who dives in from
the two yard line. It's going to be a four
yard touchdown, as Circleville now takes the lead six to nothing.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
Two observations so far.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Lou Cole Nungster is not going to go down on
the first contact, So if you're Westfall, you've got to
get bodies to him and gang tackle. Because it was
one on one, you're just not gonna be able to
bring him down. The other thing is Circleville showed no
desire to throw the ball. They know what they're good
at and they did it really, really well.
Speaker 5 (33:30):
On that drive.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Caden Packston in for the extra point. His extra point
is up and it is good. So with seven forty
five to go here in the first quarter, it is
Circleville seven and west Fall nothing. You're listening to the
accurate heating, cooling and plumbing game of the Week on
ninety four Country w KKJ.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
Another check up. Why are so many people giving the puppies?
Speaker 33 (33:57):
Doctor Kim's veterinary office is littered with this.
Speaker 22 (34:00):
We are booked solid for weeks, but who can say
no to a puppy?
Speaker 27 (34:03):
Right?
Speaker 4 (34:04):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (34:06):
She needs to find extra vetechs to get those pups
some extra love I need.

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
country WKKJ.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Sideline, and he gets all the way out to about
the twenty five yard line where west Fall will take
over first and ten for the west Fall Mustangs. Their
quarterback is Aj pottits a junior. Their offensive line is
Caden van Dine, Russ Callahan, Mason Halderman, Sutton Nep and
(35:28):
dom Andrea. Their running back is going to be Eli
right tonight. Again, we've already talked about the unavailability of
Joey Wright, and we're gonna get a stoppage here by
one of the officials. I don't know if he's going
to make number thirteen leave the game for some reason
(35:50):
for Circleville. So Circleville will have to get a sub
in the game there and for some reason, I don't
even have a thirteen. Oh there, I see a thirteen.
Now we'll get the defense here for Circleville very shortly.
But also for uh west Fall, you have Leyden Spark
Sparks at a wide receiver as well as Quinn Eberley.
(36:12):
So Paudit's in a pistol formation, hands to right and
he has stopped immediately at the line of scrimmage there
by number nine for the Circleville Tigers, Braxton Duncle. So
talking about the Circleville Tigers. Here on their defensive line,
you have Ari Travis, you have Aiden Spencer, and you
(36:37):
have Cayden Sanchez and Lamont Holloway. That's his defensive line.
We'll get the.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
Rest of them here. After this play. Pawdits under center.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
He turns pitches to right and right again stopped in
the backfield this time. Great push there by the Circleville Tigers,
and that was Leamont Holloway.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
So also out there for the Tigers.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
Number four in the defensive backfield, Kaiser Cassidy, number eight
Blake Foster. Number four I already had k Kiser Jacob
Riichelderfer and number nine Braxton Duncle and number nineteen Cole Nunguster.
(37:30):
So it is third and fourteen for Westfall. Paudits back
to pass. He's going down the middle. He finds his
man number five. What a nice opening there, and nice
ken for number five Quinn Everley. He's going to get
a first down on that. That's going to be a
gain of eighteen yards for a first down for west Fall. Yeah,
(37:53):
it was.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
He was wide open down the middle. Products kind of
hung in the pocket there and found him. And I think,
just by what I've seen so far, Circlevill is really
committed to stopping the run. I think west Fall is
gonna have to take advantage of those opportunities downfield, and.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
Again with no Joey right tonight, that they can really
focus on one running back in the backfield. So you're
going to have to probably look to some others at
the outs. Right now, we've got four receivers there. You
got right in the backfield with pawdits, but three to
the left and one to the right. Powdits back to
(38:28):
pass again. It's quick out here to Quinn Everley. He
breaks the first tackle. Now he's got some open field
going up the field, he's still on his feet, gets
all the way down to the thirty three yard line
of the Circleville Tigers. Just a simple quick out or
screen sort of to the wide receiver and he makes
it up field for a good gain of twenty seven yards.
Speaker 4 (38:51):
Yeah, he caught the ball and made the first man miss,
and from then on he had all kinds of room
to run and did a good job of taking advantage
of the opportunity.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
The first and ten from the thirty three another quick out,
this time to number twenty three Layden Sparks. So we're
gonna get a flag.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
I didn't see what that flag was.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
A face mask.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
We're gonna get a personal foul face mask. So we're
going to get another first down here for the west
Fall Mustangs. So after those first two plays where Circleville
really stuffed things up, west Fall's opened some stuff up
and they's been able to get down the field.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
Yeah, and they're taking advantage of Circleville really loading the box,
and there's there's minimal coverage on the outside right now, So.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
It looks like we've got some subs in there for Circleville.
Number twenty four looks like he's in the game now
at defensive tackle, so we're seeing some subs come in
there and maybe get some tired guys off the field.
Cayden Morgan number twenty four and Westfall now paut It
(39:53):
stays in the pistol formation with right next in. You
have two receivers to the or four now to the
left hand side. Paul, it's hands off the right. He's
got a little bit of an opening. He goes upfield
and that's going to be a gain of seventeen all
the way down to the two yard line. So finally
a j run or I'm sorry, Eli right gets some opening.
(40:17):
So quick right to the line of scrimmage for west Fall,
much like Circleville. Quick hand off to Eli right and
he's going to get into the end zone for a touchdown.
So west Fall answers Circleville's first drive with the drive
of their own here.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
With four point fifty to go here in the first quarter,
a two yard run.
Speaker 4 (40:37):
By Eli Wright really impressed with how west Fall kind
of shook off the first couple plays where they had
no success of the drive, they got a pass down field,
and then the rhythm from that point on was really
really good, and west Fall was able to take advantage
of the way.
Speaker 5 (40:55):
That Circleville was playing defense.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
So Carson Deskins on for the extra point attempt. Pawn
Its is the holder, and wait to see if we
can't get a tie score here.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Snaps puts it down and it is up and good.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
So with four fifty to go here in the first quarter,
it is now west Small seven, Circleville seven, in the
battle of two unbeatens here in Pickaway County.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
Well, Andrew, we got a game like we wanted one here.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Yeah, it was a great start. Boat teams kind of
having their way offensively. It'll be interesting to see what
each team does defensively to try to adjust and make
things a little tougher. But right now the offenses are
kind of having their way.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
So just to go over some other things here SBC
games around the area tonight. McClain is at Paint Valley,
Waverley is at uniodoart A, Manda at Saint Trace, Southeastern
travels to Fayetteville. Pikedon is at Lucasville Valley. The Cincinnati Eagles,
a private institution, is coming up to Adina tonight and
(42:15):
tomorrow night, the Huntington Huntsman will travel to Sayoutaville East
to play their game. And again that is tomorrow night
at seven o'clock. So again we talked about earlier, some
of these weekends are going to have games on Thursday
or Saturday, depending on and that's all based on officials.
Speaker 4 (42:35):
Yeah, and it's sometimes that's nice to the fans that
allows you to kind of catch more action, but it
does affect the way that you prepare with either a
day extra or a day less.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Cassidy gets the kickoff by Deskins at the six yard line.
He comes upfield, got some room, he gets all the
way up to the thirty two yard line. That's where
Circleville will start their second possession of the nights. You
are fans, tonight's game will be available for a replay
(43:08):
starting tomorrow morning. Click w KKJ dot com and look
for our podcast page or search for WKKJ on iHeartRadio
app or wherever you listen to podcasts. CIRCLEL Tigers come
out of the huddle, and again it looks like they're
not real sure if they've got the wreck men out there.
(43:30):
But Falan is in the pistol formation with Younguster to
his left, takes it, hands off the No, he keeps it.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
Why open down the field and.
Speaker 2 (43:39):
He oh, just let him too much. Uriah Woodworth was
the receiver and he had gotten behind the defense. I'll
tell you what, when you fake the ball to Longuster,
that gets the defense to notice him. And they did
have a wide open We'll see if they come back
to that place later on.
Speaker 4 (44:01):
He just missed him. It got to the very tips
of his fingers. Well, this is why coach Shared is
so good at what he does. I just got done,
saying after the last drive that circle, Little showed no
desire to throw the ball. West Fall was thinking the
same thing. They were loaded up in the box. Little
play action had a guy wide open.
Speaker 5 (44:17):
Down the field. It was an easy six.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
Well, we'd like to we'd like to thank Coach Shared
is listening to us. Cassidy's got the ball coming around
the right hand side and he is going to get
some positive yardage about a gain of four on the play.
It's going to bring up a second down in six
or a third down in six.
Speaker 3 (44:36):
Sorry so big for third down here for both teams.
Speaker 4 (44:41):
Cassidy's got some shiftiness to him. He is able to
when he gets out in the open field, is able
to make some guys miss and make it tough to
bring him down.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Yeah, I think I might have some hight on Cassidy.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
He's listed at five to seven, but or five eight,
I'm about Cherry's.
Speaker 3 (44:57):
All that maybe with the cleats yep.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
So Failing goes under a center nunguster behind him, trying
to get him to come off side. Good job by
Westful not jumping. They flinched but did not jump. Flan
hands off the younguster. He comes around the right, makes
they move back to the middle field. He's going to
get that first down. Boy, he is tough to bring down.
Even if you get a shot at him. He does
(45:22):
not go down.
Speaker 5 (45:23):
Yeah, he doesn't.
Speaker 4 (45:24):
He's uh has a great center of gravity, doesn't get
out of balance, just does what he needs to do
to stay up.
Speaker 5 (45:32):
And right now he's the difference in their offense.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
And so first down for Circleville now at their own
forty seven yard line. Failing goes in the pistol formation
with Edxel next to him. Got three receivers to the left,
one to the right. He hands off the Edzel right
up the middle.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
He shows some.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Shifting moves but almost loses the ball. Eli Wright was
there trying to take it away from him. They're going
to only give him by the gain of one on
that play.
Speaker 4 (46:05):
Yeah, a really good job there by west Fall of
kind of everybody getting to the football making sure that
the guy doesn't get out of that first tackle and
bring him to the turf, and somebody got him, made
contact and then Eli Wright came in and just tried
to take the ball.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Away from him. So that brings up a second down
and nine. Faling under center here to running backs to
the back Cassidy and Etsel fakes to one of them.
He's looking downfield, looks like he's going to keep it.
He does keep it. Good block there by his wide
receiver or that was Edzel coming out of the backfield
(46:41):
for failing to get some positive yards. That's going to
get him all the way close to the yard marker.
That's going to bring up third down and two. So
that was a gain of seven.
Speaker 4 (46:52):
Yeah, the wide receiver out there, I didn't get the
chance to see what it was. He kind of sacrificed
his body there because the Westfolk player was going at
him coming to the hard.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
Yeah, he will call he made the block, but I
think he was.
Speaker 4 (47:06):
Just in the way, put his body in the way.
Speaker 3 (47:08):
Yeah, he took the brunt of it.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
Baling under center here, Nunguster behind him. Third and two
Younguster out here too. Oh, he gets tackled in the backfield.
Great job of penetration thereby number thirteen Eli Wright. So
this defensive possession, Eli's done a wonderful job. That's going
to bring up a fourth down. They lost two on that.
(47:30):
That's going to bring a fourth down and four and
we're going to see a punting formation here for uh Circleville.
We'll see if they actually punt him, maybe try to
get them off sides. It is a punt that's number
five j Klein and his punt goes all the way
down it tries to get it in the end zone
(47:50):
and he does not.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
There was someone down there that was number.
Speaker 5 (47:55):
Number six, Jaden Friend. It looks like.
Speaker 2 (47:58):
Jade and Friend got down there to try to nail
it within the five yard line, but he could not
hold onto the ball as he landed in the end zone,
So west Fall is going to get their second chance
on offense, taking over the ball at their own twenty
yard line.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
Folks. Following tonight's game, It's Friday Night Live.
Speaker 2 (48:19):
Joined host Tim Skaggs for a look at all the
scores from across the region, an interview with coaches from
tonight's game. Listen after the game until midnight for Friday
Night Live, presented by Accurate Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing Here
on ninety four Country WKKJ and Buckeye Country one five.
West Fall looks like they're looking for somebody who's supposed
(48:41):
to be out there. You got four receivers out here
to the left, potteds, ticks and pass hands off the
Eli right. Wow, what a hole he ran into his
own player, that's the one who slowed him down. But
that is going to be a quick gain of twelve
for Eli right. And that was a huge hole by
that side of the line, which is Van Dine in Callahan.
Speaker 4 (49:01):
Well, I thought Rick Hanley there at the tight end
spot did a great job of sealing that hole and
really creating that lane for Eli Wright to run through
so quickly.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
Again, same formation, we're gonna have four receivers here to
the right side, our left side, and we're going to
get off sides by Circleville, So a hard count there
by a j Pattits, and we're gonna get five yards
for the Mustang. It's going to bring up first down
and five yard.
Speaker 4 (49:35):
Well right now, Louis Circleville has had two penalties that
has helped the West fall offense, and I'm not sure
you want to put yourself in that situation. They have
enough weapons to make it tough as it is. You
don't want to give them yards that you don't have to.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
Yeah, and again, missing their one of their top weapons
here tonight does not show that they are missing very much.
But when you have two running backs, the cape ability
of both Joey and Eli right having at least won
him out there is always a positive that.
Speaker 4 (50:05):
Makes it easier to absorb that loss.
Speaker 2 (50:08):
Pott Its hands off to Eli right, Eli right there.
It's going to be a loss on the play of
about two. But we do have a flag on the
far end thirteen. Again there, officials really didn't notice the
guy until he came in and yelled.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
That's where that flag a little higher.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
It's going to be a legal procedure on west Fall.
Speaker 2 (50:35):
So the five yards they just gained is going to
be now pushed back, bringing up a first and ten. Well,
I don't think they spotted it in the right spot,
did they? Yeah, they didn't. I'm sorry, See coached Stepp
(50:57):
didn't think they were in the right spot either. Good
sort of an optical illusion out there, but it is right.
Speaker 3 (51:05):
It's first and ten.
Speaker 2 (51:07):
Our referee tonight is Carl wolf He and his crew
officiating tonight's game. The clock is running under twenty five
seconds ago here in the first quarter.
Speaker 3 (51:17):
First quarter brought to you by home loans by Jen.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
And a late flag coming in all the way down
the field. So that was a quick throw out to
Sparks and we'll see what that flag coming from way
in the back. It's going to be a legal block
in the back by Westfall, and I'm sure Circleville is
(51:43):
going to take that.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
And seems like we've been on this first.
Speaker 2 (51:51):
Down for a long time, so now we're going to
be first in twenty all the way back at the
twenty two yard line, clock running under fifteen seconds to
go here in the first quarter.
Speaker 4 (52:05):
Yeah, that happened way down the field. You know if
you're Westfall, you don't want to draw attention to yourself
when it doesn't have any consequence on the play.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
And the quarter does run out. So at the end
of the first quarter it is the west Fall Mustang
seven the Circleville Tigers seven. You are listening to the
accurate heating, cooling and plumbing game of the week on

Back at West Fall High School, getting ready to start
the second quarter. The second quarter is brought to you
by Shine on Chillicothe dot org. It's going to be
a first and twenty Actually now it's twenty five. Huh So,
first and twenty twenty five. Back at the twenty two
(54:01):
yard line for the Westfall Mustangs. Pottits takes a snap.
He looks downfield, looks deep downfield. He's got a receiver
who had gotten by. That was number twenty three. I
believe out there landed Sparks. A lot of contact there,
didn't get called.
Speaker 12 (54:18):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (54:18):
Westfol's offensive line has done a great job every time
Poddocks has dropped back to pass. If they can keep
that up, they're gonna give him a chance to complete
a lot of passes.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
So second down in twenty five to go here, Yeah,
Pottits in the pistol formation and Eli Wright like four
yards behind him, Eli Wright coming out here. Pottits looks downfield,
finds number three, great catch and throw. Their catches made
by Wayland, Moore and Poddits did a great job of
(54:48):
finding an opening getting away.
Speaker 3 (54:50):
From some of the rush.
Speaker 2 (54:51):
It looks like it came up a little gimpy there,
maybe knock the wind out of him a little bit.
He's trying to gather himself there, but it's going to
be a big third down. Third and eleven from the
thirty eight yard line. Powtitz now basically crunched down a
little bit, trying to get himself gathered.
Speaker 3 (55:12):
I don't see. We don't have a plate clock here.
Speaker 5 (55:14):
Do we? We don't.
Speaker 4 (55:16):
He did a really good job of keeping his eyes
downfield on that scramble. There were a couple of times
where you know the pressures coming out of his face.
It keeps his eyes down field, finds the open guy
and takes a hit, but found him for a nice,
nice fifteen yard pass away.
Speaker 2 (55:30):
All right, So third and eight here for west fall
Mustang's five four on the play clar They get it off,
Pottits back to pass again in rush.
Speaker 3 (55:39):
He throws it out here to Eli right, Eli right,
trying to get up field.
Speaker 2 (55:44):
He gets very close to the first down, about two
yards short, but Powtits again stepped up in the pocket
and just sort of threw it off to his right
hand side and was able to complete that to Eli right.
That was Aatrick Mahomes escal there there you go, just
had a guy draped around him, just kind of flipped
it out with his right hand, and Eli Wright was
(56:06):
the man on the spot there. West Fall going forward
here fourth and two at their own forty five yard line,
trying to get a hard count on Circleville. Circlevill does
not go off side. Now they look over to coach
step on the sideline. Coach step is calling in the play.
(56:27):
He got one receiver out to the left, two to
the right, Eli Wright behind Plaut. It's again another count
to try to get them off side, and we're gonna
get time out here by west Fall. So andrew fourth
and two from your own forty five here with nine
to fifty to go.
Speaker 3 (56:45):
In the first or second quarter.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
What do you think?
Speaker 5 (56:47):
Yeah, I think they're gonna punt it away.
Speaker 4 (56:48):
I think he was trying to draw him off sides there,
But certainly not a point at the game where you
want to take a chance when on the last possession
of your defense showed some good things, they showed some strides,
they got there, they got to stop.
Speaker 5 (57:02):
I think you just give you your defensive chance to
go do it again.
Speaker 2 (57:09):
Sports or ninety four Country is not the only place

each week across our region on the family of radio

(57:34):
again a reminder, you can find all those scores on
WKKJ dot com on the Mill City Apparel scoreboard, and
again all the games around our area tonight. So we
see Westfall comes out, got an I formation, plaudits under center, snap,
(57:55):
quick hand off to the up man, and it does
not look like he's going to get there. That was
Eli Wright the up man, and he was stopped.
Speaker 3 (58:02):
Early by number twelve.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
That would have been Leaman Holloway and also number two
in their gray Etzel.
Speaker 4 (58:09):
So it took a hit as well there, lou So.
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Eli Wright's coming off of the sideline. He's a defensive
player as well, So he's coming over to the sideline
and it is going to be first and ten for
the Circleville Tigers at the forty five yard line of
the west fall mux Stang, So big turnover on possessions.
Here are on downs for Circleville.
Speaker 4 (58:32):
Yeah, if you're gonna go for it in that case,
you gotta get it. And they didn't, and now they
give Circleville a short field to work with.
Speaker 2 (58:39):
So Falin in the pistol formation, hands off Fay cant
off the nunger stor he keeps it in games about
one yard. And that was a great defensive play of
standing his ground there by number zero and that is
Ethan Rose.
Speaker 3 (58:55):
Road, So that'll bring up a second down and nine.
Speaker 4 (59:01):
Yeah, sometimes as a defense, when you have an offense
that gives so many looks like Circle bl does, sometimes
you got to see it for a drive before you
start to catch on to what's going on.
Speaker 2 (59:12):
So second and nine failing in the pistol formation. Three
receivers to the right, and now Cassidy goes out to
the right as well. Throws a quick pass to Cassidy,
and he led him too much and it was low.
So that's going to be incomplete, and that's going to
bring a third down and nine. Tell you what, if
(59:32):
he hits him in the hands right there, he's got
some yards there, a.
Speaker 4 (59:36):
Lot of open space in front of him.
Speaker 5 (59:38):
That would have been a big game.
Speaker 4 (59:40):
Just as he was on the run, couldn't quite get
it to where he needed to be.
Speaker 2 (59:44):
As we looked to the west, there the setting sun,
a beautiful sky out that way on just a beautiful
night for football here in Central Ohio.
Speaker 5 (59:55):
Perfect night for it.
Speaker 2 (59:57):
Circle Owl Tigers now up in the line of scrimmage,
third and nine, failing, the only one in the backfield.
He has one receiver to the left, three to the right,
back to pass, looks over the middle to co Nunguster,
and he was able to find him.
Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
I'll tell you what. He's a big target and has
great catch.
Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
He threw it about ten yards, Nungs grabbed it and
ran about fifteen more for a gain of twenty five
yards first down, all the way down to the twenty
yard line.
Speaker 4 (01:00:23):
Yeah, you know, we said they're gonna get really creative
in way finding ways to get.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Him the ball.
Speaker 4 (01:00:29):
And then I stopped finding down the middle of the
field there.
Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
Yeah, he sort of went down the middle and found
a little seam right there in the zone able to
find him, and he knows what to do with it
once he catches it. So failing in the pistol with
Younguster to his right, gets it, fake hand off the Nunguster.
Here goes failing around the right hand side. He gets
all the way down inside the ten yard line to
(01:00:53):
about the eight yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
That'll be another first down. The gain of twelve. Does
a really good job of faking, and.
Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Especially you've got to stay in position, especially when you're
faking it.
Speaker 37 (01:01:06):
Tonnguster, Yeah, he's he's really adept at seeing what is
unfolding in front of him and making the right decision.
Speaker 4 (01:01:15):
And there he decided that the right thing was to
keep it for himself and gets another first album.
Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
First and goal just inside the ten yard line. Failing
in the pistol formation Cassidy next to him, fake hand
off the Cassidy and there goes failing again.
Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
He gets in the end zone.
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
That's going to be a nine yard touchdown run by
Hudson Faling for the Circleville Tigers. So here in the
second quarter, with eight twelve to go, Circle Bill reclaim
reclaims the lead.
Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
Yeah, you know when you're again, when you're facing an
offense with so many weapons, you almost have to make
a decision on how you're going to prioritize those. Uh
and and Youunguster is the guy that they've really keyed
in on, and it's allowed failing to have some openings.
Speaker 5 (01:01:59):
On the ground.
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
Hayden Paxton in for the extra point attempt.
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
Snap is good, hold is good, and the kick is good.
So with eight twelve to go here in the second quarter,
the score now stands Circle the Attigers fourteen, Westvaull Mustang seven.
You're listening to the accurate, eating, pulling, and plumbing game

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country WKKJA.
Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
Paxcent's kickoff now goes all the way down to the
twenty yard line where it's picked up there by Mercurio.
He's going to be tackled out of bounds around the
thirty yard line now to bring up a first to
ten for Westfall, So Circlevil takes advantage of the turnover
on downs at the forty five of Westfall and turns
that into the score that puts him in the front
(01:04:00):
fourteen to seven.
Speaker 4 (01:04:01):
Yeah, Lou, you know it's not an exciting part of
the game necessarily, but field position matters. And right now,
west Fall's average starting position is on about their own
twenty four yard line. Circleville's is their own forty. So
just right there, you have a sixteen yard advantage when
you're taking over possession of the football.
Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
So west Fall first and ten at their own twenty
eight yard line. They said he went out of bounce.
Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
It's twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
So you got Pawnits in the backfield, hands off to
Eli right right up the middle, trying to get some
positive yardage and he's going to get about a four
yard gain up to the thirty two yard.
Speaker 3 (01:04:42):
Line now to bring up a second and six.
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
So looking at scores around the region, Southeastern is up
on Fayeteville seven to six in the second quarter. The
McLain Tigers up on Paint Valley thirteen to seven. That's
in the second quarter. And here's a shocker, Amanda Clearcreek
thirteen is a trace Pineer zero in the second quarter.
So Potdits in the pistol formation.
Speaker 3 (01:05:07):
He looks back to pass, thought he was going to
have an open man.
Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
He wisely throws it out of bounce and it looks
like he's coming up a little gimpy there with his shoulder.
Speaker 5 (01:05:16):
Almost.
Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
Yeah, he thought he was going to have an open
man there, but Circleville switched one handed off a receiver
to his teammate, and when it wasn't there, he made
the wise decision and just threw it out of balance.
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
Ernioda Sherman's up twenty one to nothing on the Waverley
Tigers in the Adena Warriors trail the Cincinnati Landmark Christian
Eagles seven to six in the first quarter. So it
looks like Potdits is going to stay in the game.
Looks like both he.
Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
And Eli right are camping around there.
Speaker 5 (01:05:54):
A little big up right now.
Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
This is a third and six on the thirty two
yard line of West Fall, Pawdits in the pistol formation
with the Eli right next to him. Plaudits gets the
snap throws a screen pass right to the middle. Great
catch there. I believe that is number twelve, number four,
(01:06:17):
That is eight Daniels, So good job there, nice little
screen pass right in the middle of the field and
that's a first down all the way up to the
forty five yard line and gain him thirteen.
Speaker 4 (01:06:29):
Yeah, they set that up really well. They the tigers
were coming. They let him go and then set up
a really nice scream pouss.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
I think that was they were thinking it was going
to go to Eli right and Eli and stop.
Speaker 3 (01:06:41):
Here goes Eli right.
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
However, he's going to go off the right hand side
for a gain of twenty two, and that brings up
a first down inside circle bell territory at the thirty
three yard line. So Eli right right up the right
hand side, right off the right hand tackle, and they're
going to catch Circleville with probably two men on the
(01:07:03):
field there as they went quick at the line of scrimmage,
and it's going to be a easy five yard game
for circle ball, so a legal participation thereby Circlevills.
Speaker 3 (01:07:15):
They had too many men on the field.
Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
Well, and west Fall, I think, to their credit right
now is realizing the best thing we can do is
get a tempo going, and so they're not waiting around,
they're not taking a lot of time.
Speaker 5 (01:07:26):
When they get the ball spotted, they're.
Speaker 4 (01:07:28):
Up on the line and right now Circleville is having
trouble getting some off the field, so if you're west Fall,
you just.
Speaker 5 (01:07:34):
Keep taking advantage of that.
Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
And again we had talked about that that Circleville does
a lot of changing, you know, and that usually happens
every player, every couple of players. You see guys coming
in and out of the game. So west Fall noticed
that and they use that to their advantage. So first
and five now from the thirty eight yard line is
west Fall. You have Pottits he is he has two
(01:08:00):
running back to next to them, Eli right, and also
number twenty seven, Rick Hanley. That's hand off to Eli right.
He comes around the right hand side, and that's gonna
be a of two. That'll bring up a second and
three now from the thirty one yard line, and again
the west Fall Mustangs go right to the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
They've got some opportunities here with the way that Circleville
is defending, to take advantage of some one on one
opportunities on the on the outside. Let's see if they
if they do that here, but.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
You got three receivers now to the left, and it
only looks like two guys out there guarding them. Yeah,
Paudits look straight down the middle. He's got a man
down there and that's Everley, and it looks like we
have both guys that come down with it and who
they're going to give the ball to. That's going to
be the offensive, will be the offense, and they're going
to be in right at the one yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
So that's Paudits too.
Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
Everly all the way down to the one for a
first down again, both offense and defense. He's had the ball,
but the offense took it down with control, and that
is going to be a first and goal from the one.
As west Fall quickly goes up to the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 5 (01:09:11):
Yeah, it was a jump ball.
Speaker 4 (01:09:13):
Oh no, west Fall didn't get a guy off the
field in time that But.
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
I don't think is it thrown? Is there a flag throw?
Speaker 4 (01:09:19):
I don't think they threw it. It was obvious that
he was not anywhere near coming off the field yet.
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
Well, I think coach Sheritt is out there reminding the
officials of that.
Speaker 4 (01:09:31):
I think everybody saw it except the guys and stripes there.
Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
Eli Wright did not get in the end zone, so
that brings up a second and goal from the one
yard line, So second in goal with five fifteen to
go here in the first half.
Speaker 4 (01:09:53):
Yeah, so when that jump ball play, you know it
was both guys had a chance at it. They both
actually had possession, but in that situation it goes to
the offense.
Speaker 5 (01:10:02):
And that's just a great play by Everley.
Speaker 4 (01:10:03):
He already has eighty three yards on four catches here
in the first half.
Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
Flut all right.
Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
So with five oh three to go, west Fall didn't
have who they needed on the field, so the coach
let the play clock run all the way down and
then took a timeout. So we'll take a quick time
out with them again. Your score here is Circleville fourteen
and west Fall seven. You're listening to the accurate heating,
cooling and plumbing game of the week on ninety four

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country WKKJA.
Speaker 2 (01:11:40):
Back here at Westfall High School. They tried to run
Aiden Daniels off the right hand side. He was met
and kept short of the line to gain or short
of the end zone. I should say that's going to
bring up a big third in goal from the two
yard line. We have a player down for Circleville. I
(01:12:04):
didn't get the number on that entry.
Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
I thought it was fifteen Drake Clinger, but I'm not
one hundred percent sure.
Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
Coach Jay Sher makes the long walk out on the
field to check on his player here with four forty
nine to go here in the first half, he comes
up to his feet and that is cold nungus here.
Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
So you know, again, as your Circleville faithful, you're.
Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
Want to make sure that young man's okay because he
sort of does a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:12:30):
Of things for your team.
Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
And it looks like he's walking maybe a maybe an
ankle quick turn of the ankle or something along that line,
as he's walking off on his own power, but taking
his time to get off the field. And as I said,
a big third down here for west Fall, I think
you're in a four down territory.
Speaker 5 (01:12:50):
I think so.
Speaker 4 (01:12:51):
I think, no matter what happens here on third down,
you got to give yourself a chance to get seven
on fourth down.
Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
Oh no, or Cole is being helped off the field now,
is that?
Speaker 16 (01:13:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:13:05):
You hate to see that.
Speaker 2 (01:13:07):
So we'll keep an eye on that as this game transpires.
But right now it's a big third down for Westfall
and sort of going in a quick jumbo position here
and you're gonna have a touch push. Look here, Lou,
it looks like an Eli Wright is going on in
(01:13:27):
the center. He's gonna take the snap, He's gonna go forward.
He's gonna get a lot of guys pushing behind him,
the Circle digers pushing forward, and Eli sort of moved
to the left a little bit to get around that
pile up, and he gets in the end zone for
a two yard touchdown rush. So Eli Wright with his
(01:13:50):
second touchdown of the night and the extra point forthcoming.
Speaker 4 (01:13:55):
Yeah, he was stood up right away and was held
up for a few seconds, and then the momentum of
everybody pushing just kind of flung him out to the
side and he's able to walk in.
Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
I guess that's not outlawed in the high school game
quite yet, like it is in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (01:14:12):
No, it's not outlawed. They tried to outlaw it.
Speaker 4 (01:14:15):
Oh not rough teams voted, Oh that's right.
Speaker 5 (01:14:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
So here we go point after attempt here by Deskins,
and he barely makes that through, but it is and
that ties.
Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
His score at fourteen.
Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
So with four forty four to go here in the
first half, west Fall again answers circle ball. Every time
Circle has gone down the field and scored, west Fall
has come back immediately on the next possession in scored
as well.
Speaker 4 (01:14:44):
Yeah, and that's uh, you know, this is two good
football teams.
Speaker 5 (01:14:48):
We're watching two good teams go at it.
Speaker 4 (01:14:50):
And that's what you're gonna see. You're gonna see push
and pull, give and take and uh right now be
crucial here for West Fall to to hold Circle Bill
without a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Well, this is the last week for non league games
for both of these teams. Next week, Uh, Circleville will
have their I guess real rival, their their league rival,
Logan Elm. Uh is uh, We'll take on the Circleville Tigers.
So Circleville will go on the road again for a
second game.
Speaker 3 (01:15:18):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
They will be at Logan Elm next week, whereas the
West Fall Mustangs will start SVC league play. They will
be traveling to Paint Valley Andrew and I next week
and our first SVC game of the week. We will
be traveling the long travel for Andrew and I to
Adena a Bostick Field where the Southeastern Panthers will come
(01:15:41):
into town to take on the Adena Warriors.
Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:15:44):
I think we both got about about a tenth of
a mile trek to Bostic Field, so we'll enjoy that
part of it. But yeah, always good to get into
league play and see how you stack up against teams
that that you're competing against west Fall.
Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
As a quick run to the line there on the kickoff.
Now they all scramble and get into their positions and
corner Diskins will be kicking off to the Circlevill Tigers.
He approaches the ball and the kick is going to
come down at about the twenty yard line and he
catches it in stride. That's Kaiser Cassidy and from the
(01:16:21):
twenty to the forty it seemed like he got there
very fast. The twenty yard return and that's where the
circle Bol Tigers will take over first and ten with
four forty to go here in the first half.
Speaker 4 (01:16:34):
I don't want to keep beating a beating the drum, lou.
But again, right now, Circleville is getting the ball in
advantageous field position every time they touch it, and if
you're a Westfall you don't want to keep putting yourself
in that situation.
Speaker 2 (01:16:49):
So again, I do not see Cole Nunguster out there
for this first play, but that does not mean anything.
Speaker 5 (01:16:58):
Failing.
Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
Now back in the pistol formation, got Etzel next, Hent
fakes to him here goes Failing around the right hand side.
They run that play often here in the first half.
Not quite as good execution when it's not an under
stir in the backfield.
Speaker 4 (01:17:16):
Yeah, you don't have him kind of taking up all
the attention. But I really like the way Failing runs.
He's not scared when he goes up the middle and
he's taking on linebackers.
Speaker 5 (01:17:25):
He kind of puts his head down and tries to
go through people.
Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
So brings up after a gain of about five, brings
up second and five from the forty five yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:17:38):
Failing in the epistol.
Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
He's going to hand off this time to Kaiser Cassidy
and he's going.
Speaker 3 (01:17:44):
To gain him about We'll give him one on the play. Now,
we'll give him two.
Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
Gets all the way up to the forty seven yard
line where it'll be third and three. So big third
down here to go under four minutes now.
Speaker 5 (01:17:58):
Really big third down here.
Speaker 4 (01:18:00):
I don't know that Circleville goes for it if they
don't get it here. So if you're west Fall and
you can get off the field and potentially you get
twice before halftime and then come out of halftime with possession,
that's a really big swing momentum.
Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
So no cold youngustur in the game right now. Flan
with at so Falan takes it right up the middle
of the field. He finds it open. He gets out
to the right hand side, he's going to be chased
out of bounce at the thirty four yard line. So
first down Circleville after a gain of twenty yards onto
(01:18:34):
play around the area.
Speaker 4 (01:18:38):
Yeah again, Faylan made a couple of guys miss in.
Couple guys got arms on him but weren't able to
bring him down and use his speed to get outside
then and.
Speaker 5 (01:18:47):
Create the create the ordage that he got.
Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
So first and ten from the thirty four yard line
is Circleville three eighteen to go here in the first half,
Flan awaits to snap, maybe makes a check off here
and he tosses it out here to Kaiser Cassidy around
the left hand side. Tries to make the first guy miss.
But great job there, Mike Cayden merk Crow four.
Speaker 13 (01:19:16):
Or number two Kayton Mercario.
Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
Your caryo sorry, and that'll be a gain of about
five yards.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
Bringing up second and five.
Speaker 4 (01:19:26):
Yeah, really good block there by number five Jack Kline
on the outside. I always love watching receivers on running
plays to see how committed they are to blocking for
their teammates, and he uh, he kind of lets somebody
up there.
Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
So under center this time failing hands off to XE
will find some opening on the right hand side.
Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
He's on his way. One guy to beat and he
beats him.
Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
So that is a twenty nine yard touchdown run by
ray Edzell As he gets in the end zone to
put to Circleville Tigers back on top.
Speaker 4 (01:20:03):
We've only seen him carry the ball twice, but I'm
guessing after that run right there, we're going to see
it a little bit more often in the second half.
He was he was hard to track down, he's fast.
Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
And again with cold Nunguster out of the game right now,
again we'll try to figure out what's going on with him.
But that is a nice addition for a second option
for Circleville. The point after attempt is good by Caden Paxton.
That now makes the score Circleville twenty one and Westfall
(01:20:40):
fourteen four to go here in the first half.
Speaker 3 (01:20:45):
So again, Andrew that something to keep an eye on.
Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
As far as the injury to cold Nunguster for Circleville, well.
Speaker 4 (01:20:54):
If you're if you're Circleville, it's going to affect everything
you do offensively, right, everything you can do is based
on the fact that he's able to create advantages when
he touches the ball, and so if he's not available,
it's gonna it's gonna affect the way that you play call,
it's gonna affect the scheme that you have, and it's
gonna be interesting to see if Circleville has some guys
(01:21:15):
that continue to step up.
Speaker 5 (01:21:17):
Ray Azel there certainly did that.
Speaker 2 (01:21:23):
So as we await the kickoff here, Westfall certainly has
shown the ability to get down the field quick with
two thirty four to go and get another score on
the board. So we'll see how that goes. So back
deep for the Mustangs, I believe that is Aiden Daniels
(01:21:48):
and Winebly, so they await the Paxton kickoff. The kickoff
now low Driver goes all the way to the fifteen,
picked up by every every up to the twenty up
to the twenty two yard line where he's brought down,
and that is where the west Fall Mustangs.
Speaker 3 (01:22:10):
Will start this possession.
Speaker 2 (01:22:12):
You're right down seven twenty one fourteen. Looks like Eli
Wright and aj Potdits are still going out there. So
again we saw them coming up Gimpi earlier in the Game'd.
Speaker 4 (01:22:28):
Be interesting to see here, Lou. You know, if you're
if you're west Fall, you're gonna.
Speaker 5 (01:22:32):
Get the ball after halftime.
Speaker 4 (01:22:35):
What you don't want to do right here is get
three quick in completions, which then is going to give
Circleville the ball back here at the end of the
half with a couple of minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
Left, So I take that back. Quinn every looks like
he is going in at quarterback.
Speaker 5 (01:22:54):
Yeah, you're right, and.
Speaker 2 (01:22:55):
It looks like I don't know if this is Polit's
over here with out his jersey on, but Quinn Everley
in the game now as quarterback.
Speaker 3 (01:23:03):
He hands off to Eli right, Eli.
Speaker 2 (01:23:05):
Going on the right hand side, and he gets a
gain of about three yards, going to bring up a
second down and seven.
Speaker 4 (01:23:13):
Well, if Paddocks isn't able to to play right now,
this certainly affects how you approach these last couple of minutes.
You really kind of want to just get off the
field at that point.
Speaker 2 (01:23:25):
And again then you can get into halftime and make
those adjustments you need to make with you know, a
new quarterback, a new offense, possibly offensive scheme, I should say,
so brings up second down and seven. Everly in the game,
he's in the pistol formation, fake hand off to Eli, right,
(01:23:46):
he keeps it talking about Quinn Everly and he is
going to go down and Coach Jay Sherri runs out
on the field to get a time out quickly because
that is going to bring up a third and eight,
So nine to go here in the first half, Coach Sherit.
Speaker 3 (01:24:01):
Calls a time out.
Speaker 2 (01:24:03):
And says, if you guys are just gonna run it,
we're gonna call time out and we're gonna see if
we can't get the ball back one more time. Fundraiser
here at Westall, Yes, I believe, so I know west
Fall has called a couple, but I believe that is
circle bowls for his time out. And yes, this this
(01:24:24):
is a J pottits down here at the go on
the bench without his uh shoulder pads on, and uh
that is not a good sight to see. It's like
to see that young man in the game. He's done
a great job here to us two players that are
(01:24:45):
so key to what their teams do. And now both
teams are playing without a really important player. All right,
So with one thirty nine to go in a very
important third and eight. I don't play. I think Westfall
is going to try to do anything tricky with this.
Speaker 4 (01:25:04):
No, I think you have to run it and force
Circle Lit'll call another time out, and then you punt
it away and try to get a defensive stand.
Speaker 2 (01:25:15):
So every takes a snap. He's gonna run around the
right hand side. He's got a lot of blockers in
front of him, and he does get a first down
out of it.
Speaker 3 (01:25:23):
He gets a gain of ten.
Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
Yards on the play, so that brings up a first
and ten for the West Saul Mustangs.
Speaker 3 (01:25:29):
Good job. They basically just had more men on this
side than what circle.
Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
Boat can do.
Speaker 4 (01:25:33):
Yeah, now, I think you can take some more chances
and really try to get it going.
Speaker 2 (01:25:37):
So again, Everly keeps it and he is taking off
down the right hand sideline.
Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
He's still in bounds.
Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
He gets all the way down to the twenty five
yard line. So a great job there, shows a little
burst of energy by every They're gonna get right up
to the line of scrimmage, but Circleville is going to
call a time out here make.
Speaker 3 (01:25:57):
Sure they are set.
Speaker 2 (01:25:59):
So great job Quinn Everley of just staying behind his
blockers and oh, finally an opening and he got all
the way down the field.
Speaker 5 (01:26:07):
Yeah, you're one hundred percent right. He was patient.
Speaker 4 (01:26:09):
He saw where the blocks were happening, he saw where
the defense was coming from, and he waited for those
blocks to take place, and then once they did, he
exploded through that hole. But yeah, lou both Cole Nunguster
and AJ Poddocks are are being taken off the field
in on a golf cart right now.
Speaker 5 (01:26:28):
Not what you want to see.
Speaker 2 (01:26:31):
So again, we'll see the adjustments now for both teams
with the big offensive players out of the game for
both of them. But right now, Quinn Everley has stepped
into the quarterback role for Westfall, and he's done it
with his legs. He's done a great job catching the ball,
yeah from AJ Potts here in the first half, and
(01:26:52):
now we see him using his legs to get him
all the way down the field. Now they're going to
say he came or went down at the twenty six
yard line. About a game of thirty nine on there.
So it's first and ten from the thirty or twenty
six yard line, I should say, of the Circleville Tigers.
So with one twenty one to go here in the
first half, and I believe Westfall still has one time
(01:27:14):
out left.
Speaker 3 (01:27:18):
See what they do.
Speaker 2 (01:27:19):
So you got two receivers to the right, one to
the left, turn around and hand it to Eli.
Speaker 5 (01:27:24):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
Eli's gonna go upfield to gain of about seven on
the play. That's gonna bring up a second down and
three from the twenty with the clock running one oh
seven to go. So they're gonna go right to the
line of scrimmage here, save that time out. You're gonna
give him a game to six second and four. Eli
(01:27:46):
Wright finds an opening on the right hand side. He
gets all the way inside the ten down to the
sixth and we're gonna stop at the clock here on
the first down. So now you got first to goal
from the six with fifty three yard or fifty three
seconds ago, and we're gonna get Circlevill's last time out
of the first half here. So Circlevill does not like
(01:28:08):
how this defensive possession is going. They called two timeouts.
Speaker 4 (01:28:12):
The Westfall is so one dimensional right now. Now there's
not a person on strip of staff or roster that
thinks they're going to throw the ball. But the offensive
line is doing such a good job right now creating
holes that it's allowing them to keep doing that one thing,
and it's effective right now.
Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Yeah. Right in the center of that offensive line is
Mason Holdeman, an All League player from last year.
Speaker 3 (01:28:34):
He's their center.
Speaker 2 (01:28:35):
Sutton nep and dom Andrea on the right hand side
is making a lot of holes right now, both for
Eli right and for Quinn Eberley. But if you're Circleville,
you got to try to hold him to at least
only three here or at least a field goal attempt.
But if you're Westfall, you want to get this thing
tied up because you're going to get the ball coming
(01:28:57):
out of halftime. So that will be a big moment
boost for west Fall.
Speaker 4 (01:29:01):
So and look, both teams are going to go into
halftime and make adjustments. I think the adjustments that Circleville
will make will be more effective against against west Fall
because it's truly impacted how they play offense. Right Circleville
is still going to do the same things, just without
one of their best players. West Fall's not gonna be
(01:29:22):
able to do all the same things.
Speaker 2 (01:29:23):
So every waits to snap, he takes it, this time
to the left hand side, trying to find some Remy
does find a roomy he's going to get.
Speaker 3 (01:29:30):
In the end zone.
Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
That is going to be a seven yard touchdown run
by Quinn Eberly. Great job of stepping in the quarter
back position and leading his team down the field in his.
Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
First possession and possibly tying the game.
Speaker 4 (01:29:50):
Yeah, went left that time after having a lot of
success going right. But again, the offensive line is everybody's
doing their job. Everybody's winning it line of scrimmage, which
is allowing them to find space to run.
Speaker 3 (01:30:06):
And the point after attempt is up and good.
Speaker 2 (01:30:09):
So that ties the game here at twenty one with
forty eight seconds to go. Here in the first half,
you're listening to the Accord Heating, Cooling and Plumbing Game
of the Week on ninety four Country w kkj YO.
Speaker 4 (01:30:29):
Circleville started off the scoring with a touchdown. West Fall answered.
Circle Will scored a touchdown. West Fall answered. Circle Will
scored a touchdown west Fall answered.
Speaker 5 (01:30:38):
This is two.
Speaker 4 (01:30:38):
Really good teams, too, well coached teams where everybody's doing
their job and it's and it's it's good on good.
It's it's quality players on both sides really getting after
each other.
Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
So basically, what you're saying Andrew circle Boe wants to
win this game. They got to score with zero time
left on the clock, exactly exactly, and that's how we
we'd like to see this game happen to go right
down to the end. Good game by both teams. And
again we've had other guys from these teams step.
Speaker 3 (01:31:06):
Up in big ways.
Speaker 2 (01:31:07):
Absolutely, and again it's I think Falan at quarterback for
Circleville and now quarterback every for Westfall.
Speaker 4 (01:31:15):
Yeah, I mean, Everly has had a first half with
fifty seven yards rushing and eighty three yards receiving, really
making his impact fell on this game.
Speaker 5 (01:31:25):
And Falan's been a terrific runner for Circleville and he's
going to continue to need to do that.
Speaker 2 (01:31:30):
So Circleville has no timeouts left, Deskin's kick.
Speaker 3 (01:31:36):
Is going to be taken.
Speaker 2 (01:31:37):
At the fourteen yard line and wow, what a stick there.
Speaker 16 (01:31:42):
Yeah, that was a.
Speaker 2 (01:31:45):
Number fifteen Drake Klinger and that was Mason Humphrey. I
believe that made that hit on the kickoff return. So
Circleville gets the ball first and ten at the thirty
yard line and we'll see what coach Jay Sherri decides
to do here with forty four point three seconds to go.
Speaker 4 (01:32:06):
You know, I think they're just gonna do what they do,
and if they break open an explosive play, I think
they'll take it.
Speaker 5 (01:32:11):
I don't think you're going to see.
Speaker 37 (01:32:12):
Him, you know, try to uncork the ball outfield, failing
in the pistol formation, tight formation, failing fakes the hand
off the ed Zullen.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Harry goes. But we got a flag coming.
Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
From the referee in the back, probably looking at a
hold there by Circleville, and that is the call. So
that is going to bring that great run by failing back.
Speaker 5 (01:32:38):
Yeah, that's unfortunate for Circleville.
Speaker 4 (01:32:40):
He had a good twenty yard game there, which would
have moved it into Circleville territory, and you give yourself
a pretty good chance to score at that point.
Speaker 2 (01:32:50):
So that's going to bring up a first and twenty.
Now at the twenty yard line with thirty seven point
four seconds to go, I have a feeling we'll see
something similar to that here on this play. You know, both.
Speaker 4 (01:33:09):
Teams have had a few penalties. Circlevill's had a couple
more than west Fall, but it feels like Circlevills have
come at really inopportunity times.
Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
Right now, they would add a first and ten up
near the fifty yard line. Now they have a first
and twenty at their own twenty and Failan's just going
to take the ball and kneel down, So that is
going to run probably the clock out. I do not
believe they need to make another snap, and that's going
(01:33:39):
to bring to an end a very exciting first half
here at West Fall with both teams now scoring three
times each.
Speaker 3 (01:33:49):
And you have the score of twenty one to twenty one.
Speaker 4 (01:33:53):
So really excitedly to see the adjustments that are made
at halftime with both teams suffering a key injury.
Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
So just a reminder here of our halftime show. You

Speaker 16 (01:37:24):
Jared is back with us. Jared.
Speaker 43 (01:37:27):
It's of course the second year in high school and
these players start to really develop their physicality. But maybe
sometimes it's hard to really separate kids at that age.
Is the sophomore group maybe the hardest to rank for you?
Speaker 27 (01:37:44):
Yeah, they definitely are, because, as we talked about last time,
the freshman we don't rank, We watch list them. So
it's not as much of this player is better than
this player. It's just these are players to watch out for.
But as sophomores, we really start having film and we
have more of an opportunity to get out and see
(01:38:06):
them in person and see, you know, not just what
kind of player they are, but you know kind of
their mental makeup and those kind of things, and so
those are.
Speaker 16 (01:38:16):
Definitely a help.
Speaker 27 (01:38:17):
But each year that you gain more more film and
just they have a chance to develop, you get a
little bit more of that overall puzzle that you're looking
to project as a player get filled in. So definitely
more work within in the freshman year, but still you know,
a work to try to try to project them.
Speaker 4 (01:38:39):
Well, let's talk about your class of twenty eight.
Speaker 43 (01:38:41):
Then let's do the top five and like Casey Casem,
let's count them down backwards. Start with your number five sophomore.
Speaker 27 (01:38:49):
Okay, at number five, we have Colin Burris. He is
a opposite tackle from Marysville. Colin is a six five,
three hundred pounds and the first thing really struck me
and watching the film on his feet for young me
and his size, his age level just really excels in
that area and with his along with his feet, he's
(01:39:11):
a good athlete. So he's the guy that can not
just block the line of scrimmage, but he can get
out of space and do some different things that that
that's frankly, it's it's not you know, typical for for
someone his size and his age, and so you know,
strength wise, he's getting there too. But a young man
(01:39:32):
that just really has a great base to build on
and work with physically as he continues to learn the
game and get more high school reps and so, uh,
somebody I'm really excited about in the future to see
again he continues to develop and just kind of where
things go for him with his game, because athletically, you know,
he's got a great base and if he you know,
(01:39:54):
starts to play a little more physically violent and and
just you know, use that strength he has, he's really
going to become a dominant pass blocker and run blocker.
At number four, we have Lorenzo McMullen. He's a wide
receiver from Task High School in Cincinnati. He's six foot two,
one hundred and seventy five pounds. Lorenzo's just he again,
(01:40:17):
he was another one even as a freshman, just had
great size and you know obviously at six to two
now one hundred and seventy five pounds, he just really
moves fluidly, and he's a guy that kind of has
that basketball athleticism and sense of of space, you know,
like like a basketball player going up for a rebound.
(01:40:38):
He excels at going and getting the ball, and you know,
with that size is able to to really you know,
even older defenders, cornerbacks that are guarding him really be
physical with them and put himself in a position to
make the play and make the catch. He's a guy
that is not just a chanover, but he's a guy
(01:41:00):
that's gon be able to stretch a field vertically as
the speed to get open and test defenses that way.
So really starting to pop up nationally on the national
level recruiting wise, and so things are starting to take off.
Rhim and tasking. They have a ton of talent back,
so you know people are going to get a chance
(01:41:21):
to see him play a lot. Probably not just as fall,
but you know, as the playoffs come around, I expect
to have to make a run. So at number four,
at Lorenzo mcmowens number three, we have Jeremiah Jenes. He
is another wide receiver out of Taylor High School in
the Cincinnati area. Jeremiah's six floor, one hundred and seventy pounds.
(01:41:44):
He's another another big wide receiver for his age and
really where I think he's excelled. Where he excels is
using his strength really strong as a point of attack,
both in blocking. He's an excellent blocker who loves to
to just really take things out on defenders in the
run game. That in the past game. He's a guy
(01:42:06):
that can go up high, point the ball itsels at,
boxing out for the ball, using his body and his
size to really keep the ball in his frame and
then and then make the catch. Not quite as much
as a vertical threat, but you know definitely has you know,
every bit of solid ability to make defenses respect that.
(01:42:28):
But where he's really going to hurt you just down
in and down out. He's going to make plays that
move the jeans and be a guy who keeps your
offense in front of the teams. At number two, we
have Elijah Harritt. He's a running back from Cleveland Heights
by ten pounds. Elijah started as a freshman last year
for for Heights and did a great job shared I
(01:42:51):
believe snapped as a freshman, but really explosive running back, athletic.
But he's a guy who gets out into space. He's
the guy that you're gonna have to worry about taking
the ball all the way to the house as a
defensive coordinator. So he's got you're gonna want to you're
gonna want to game tackle and have more than one
(01:43:13):
guy there to get him down before he can really
really do damage. Because open the space, he can juke,
he can make guys miss, and then as I said,
has the speed to take it all the way. So
as he continues to add weight and strength, he's really
just going to become that much more of an issue.
As he gets stronger in that contact balance and he's
(01:43:34):
able to run with, he's gonna be an even harder
guy to take down. So number two Elijah Harrison, then
number one overall we have Jamiir Weis. Jamiir is a
defensive end from Trotwood Madison High School in the Dayton area.
Jamiir is six fourds one hundred and thirty pounds. He
already has a bevy of offers from schools like Ohio State, Maryland, Louisville, Illinois.
(01:44:00):
So obviously with those with those schools you know already
offering him, you know he's he's already shown a lot.
He's actually a younger brother of JaMarcus Weiss who's headed
to Louisville as as a defensive lineman. So you know
(01:44:20):
the pedigree is obviously there. But Jamiir, you know, with
that size six four two hundred and thirty pounds, is
he bends really well, and you know that's you know,
when we talk about defensive ends and their athleticism, their
ability to bend is so important because when they get
to that edge, what they want to be able to
(01:44:41):
do is turn that corner to take a flat line
to the quarterback and really you know, gets them there
and in a much faster amount of time and and
just you know, speeds up that process of a quarterback
needing to get the ball out. Jamiir has that ability
to to bend and athletically, you know, get around. But
(01:45:03):
with his size, he's also strong too. He is a
kid that's going to not just be able to win
the edge, he's going to be able to bowl, rush
and overpower offensive tackles physically. As a sophomore, he's even
doing that already. And so you know, as you can imagine,
with another year or two of continue physical development, he's
(01:45:26):
just going to get stronger and stronger. So I expect
the offers continue to pile up for Jamiir. Very talented
young man for the Rams, and they you know, if
anybody likes the defense, they'll watch that Trollwood Rams defense
because they are a load of talent there. And so
you know, jami or weiss Is are our number one
(01:45:46):
talent UH ranked player in the twenty twenty eight class.
Speaker 43 (01:45:51):
That's Jared Loganville with prep friends on Ohio ranking their
top five sophomores for us.
Speaker 5 (01:45:57):
Jared, thanks for taking.
Speaker 27 (01:45:58):

Speaker 43 (01:46:02):

Speaker 2 (01:49:05):
Back at west Fall High School, where your score is
the west Fall Mustangs twenty one in the circle bill
of Tigers twenty one. Andrew a lot of offense there
in that first half and a lot of different contributors
by both teams.
Speaker 4 (01:49:18):
Yeah, you know, certainly for west Fall. You look at
Eli Wright had seventy six yards rushing, He had a
couple of touchdowns before he got injured. AJ Poddocks had
over one hundred yards passing, you know, every on the
receiving end of eighty three of those yards, and then
you know, injuries happened, right Cole Nunguster, who was leading
(01:49:42):
the rushing attack for Circleville and had their only reception,
he goes out, and then A. J. Pottocks goes out
for the Mustangs, And so now you're in a spot
where everything's got to be a little bit different, and
who makes the better adjustments at halftime. That's I think
gonna gonna kind of dictate how this game goes here
in the second half.
Speaker 2 (01:50:02):
Yeah, I think both teams there just wanted to get
to halftime. Yeah, you saw where Circleville just went took
the knee. Uh, so they could get in there and
make those adjustments that they need to before they come
out here in the second half. So you know what
we're going to see in that second half. We'd like
to think of a lot of the same good football
(01:50:24):
being played and a lot of points putting on the board.
But I think this is going to be a game
where it's gonna come down to coaches making some adjustments.
Speaker 4 (01:50:31):
Yeah, I think you're one hundred percent right. I think
if you're Circleville, I think you keep going to failing.
I think he's the center of your attack right now
from the quarterback spot, rushing the football. I think you
got to get a zelle, you know, more carries here
in the second half, give him opportunities to get out
in space.
Speaker 5 (01:50:49):
And if your.
Speaker 4 (01:50:50):
Circleville, you just keep trusting your offensive or if you're sorry,
if you're Westfall, you just keep trusting the offensive line
and you keep using Eli Wright and and Everly from
the court spot and just try to gain those yards
in as big chunks as you can, and you'll try
to take advantage of any opportunities you get.
Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
All right, Well, before we get started here in the
second half. We're gonna take one more break and we
will be back with you to start.

I should say Logan Elm Trails Miami Trace seven to
six in the third quarter. Bloom Carrol is up on
Jonathan Alder ten to nothing. That's in the third quarter.
Amanda Clearcreek still leads Ain't Trace nineteen to nothing. That
is in the third quarter. The Chilicota Cavaliers lead Western
Brown fourteen nothing at half. Unioto Sherman's up thirty five
(01:53:34):
to nothing at the half over the Waverley Tigers Lucasville
Valley They lead piked in fourteen nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
That is at the half.
Speaker 2 (01:53:44):
Adina Trails Landmark Christian Academy seven to six. That is
at the half. The Southeastern Panthers lead at the half
fourteen to six over Faetteville and one more score here
Payne Valley Bearcats up twenty two to nineteen over the
(01:54:06):
McLean Tigers, and that two is at the half. So
here our score is twenty one twenty one at the
half and we're getting ready for the second half. A

Speaker 3 (01:55:09):
From West Fall.
Speaker 2 (01:55:12):
That'll be after the game as we get their thoughts
on this game and hard Fall game with two teams
here trying to go to three and zero.
Speaker 4 (01:55:21):
Yeah, both teams not giving an inch, and what a
great atmosphere.
Speaker 5 (01:55:26):
We've got full.
Speaker 4 (01:55:27):
Stands, We've got people lining the fence. It's a beautiful
night for football. You really just can't ask for more
than what we've been able to take in tonight on
for Friday night football.
Speaker 3 (01:55:38):
And the bands both did a great job out there.
Speaker 2 (01:55:41):
The cheerleaders are doing a good job there with the
theme of both schools. West Fall's theme tonight looks to
be Hawaiian Shirt and Hawaiian Late Night. Whereas you look
at the circleville side, their student section and cheerleaders are
basically one of those safety best Yeah yeah, safety best
night with the yellow neon vests.
Speaker 3 (01:56:04):
Uh that they are sporting.
Speaker 2 (01:56:05):
So again, good showing by both student sections, good shown
by both bands.
Speaker 3 (01:56:11):
And we've seen.
Speaker 2 (01:56:12):
On the field so far by both football teams. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:56:16):
Uh, you know, Lou, I think again, we've talked about
how we feel like this game is going to come
down to adjustments and which team is able to adjust
to things not being ideal. I think we both have
a lot of respect for these two coaches. You know,
you worked with Jay Sheritt for many years.
Speaker 5 (01:56:33):
What are the.
Speaker 4 (01:56:34):
Things in knowing him that that you have seen, what
that that's made him so successful.
Speaker 2 (01:56:41):
It's gonna be the details as we talk about, you know,
the adjustments that are going to have to be made.
Uh and again when you throw in the injuries that happen,
those adjustments now are hey, somebody else has to step
in or I need to make sure I make those
adjustments to where we get the right personnel on the
field at the right time. He you, there is so
many different players for reasons like this, so you're gonna
(01:57:03):
get different looks, so.
Speaker 3 (01:57:05):
You're not just focused on one individual.
Speaker 2 (01:57:07):
So those are things I think coach shared and I mean,
without a doubt, he's a Hall of Fame coach and
he has won two state titles and multiple league titles.
That's why he's as good as he is.
Speaker 3 (01:57:19):
And getting a.
Speaker 2 (01:57:20):
Chance to come back to his alma mater, he's really
excited about it.
Speaker 3 (01:57:23):
I mean you could see it. You know, a guy
who had a Hall of.
Speaker 2 (01:57:27):
Fame career, he could have just stayed retired, but that
opportunity to come back to Circle Vote. He and I
talked about him many times before, was just too great
of a thing for him to pass up.
Speaker 4 (01:57:37):
Well, I think you hit on something that as a
coach is a good reminder for all of us, which
is you always have to prepare for things not.
Speaker 5 (01:57:47):
To go well, for injuries to happen.
Speaker 4 (01:57:49):
You have to have multiple people ready to step in,
ready to take the take the reins if something were
to happen. And you know, we'll we'll we'll see which
team is really prepared for Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:58:00):
And we can see also with west Fall, coach Stepp
already had that. I mean, he had to deal with
one of his best running backs out of the game,
so you make adjustments. Now he's got his quarterback out
of the game, he's made adjustments. So again you've seen
a coach on both sides make those positive adjustments to
keep their gate our teams in the game. Here as
we count down here to the beginning of the second half,
(01:58:24):
and and again this is going to be Circleville kicking
off the west Fall. So west Fall getting the last
score of the first half, now getting the ball first
here in the second half, they're going to be going
left to right on your radio dial as Circleville now
is defending the west end zone is nightfall has happened.
The lights have taken full effects and just wonderful things here.
(01:58:49):
As you know, nice cool crisp air wind has died
down a little bit. It was really wind here the game.
Speaker 5 (01:58:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:58:56):
I also want to point out, lou the way that
the schools that we visited and so far have taken
care of us.
Speaker 5 (01:59:01):
They've made our.
Speaker 4 (01:59:03):
Lives easy, They've given us space, They've fed us really
big thanks to Huntington's Ain't Trace and wets Fall for
their hospitality.
Speaker 5 (01:59:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:59:12):
The athletic director here, Brian Woof, has done a wonderful
job of making sure we are taking care of So
the second half kick taking that to ten yard line
and I believe that is Quinn Eberley back there bringing
that up to the only gets it out to the
eighteen yard line. So that is where circle Bill will start.
Speaker 3 (01:59:30):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (01:59:30):
West Fall will start the second half on offense again.
Speaker 3 (01:59:35):
Reminder here, so A. J.
Speaker 2 (01:59:37):
Pottins is out of the game with an underclosed undisclosed injury.
We believe it's his shoulder, and now we have Quinn
Everley taking over his quarterback for the west Fall Mustangs.
Speaker 4 (01:59:53):
Well it'll be uh, we'll get our first chance to
see what Circleville is going to do defensively to try
to slow Westfold.
Speaker 2 (02:00:02):
So we get Quinn Everley in the pistol formation, ELI
right right behind him. You got two receivers to the left,
one to the right. Everly waiting making sure everyone's in
the right spot. Snap hand off the ELI right right
up the middle and he finds some opening, gets a
spin move out. If he wouldn't have lost his balance,
he might have got more. But he got out to
(02:00:22):
the twenty six yard line and that's going to bring
a gain of seven, bring up a second down and three.
Speaker 4 (02:00:30):
A little bit surprised there lit Circleville wasn't loaded up
in the.
Speaker 2 (02:00:34):
Box like that.
Speaker 5 (02:00:35):
I thought they would be so quick.
Speaker 2 (02:00:37):
Snap here and that is Eli right. He goes off
the left hand side and he gets the first down
and that's going to be a gain of fourteen on
that play for the first down west Fall. So again
tempo here for west Fall. As they go right to
the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 4 (02:00:55):
Ooh, looks like Circleville have jump but no flag.
Speaker 2 (02:01:00):
So again see adjustment number one for west Fall. As
they go to a no huddle formation. Now they're looking
over at coach step for the play call it by
now looks down at their wrists hand off aj right
right up the middle, and he saw the defender and
(02:01:22):
he didn't try to go around him. He said, you
know what, I'm going to try to go right through you.
But good job by the defender to take him down there.
That was Braxton Dunkle.
Speaker 4 (02:01:30):
Really good block there by Russ Collahan west Fall. That
carry takes Eli Wright over one hundred yards for the evening, so.
Speaker 2 (02:01:39):
Gain of three that brings up a second down and
seven from the forty four yard line for the west
Fall Mustangs. Again. Eli Wright's going to be right behind
Quinn Everley. Now he's going to come up to his
right hand side. Three receivers out here to the right,
one to the left. Evererly, he's going to go right
(02:01:59):
behind Eli Wright find a little opening, tries to get
up there, but he's going to be stopped after a
gain of one bringing up a second down and five.
Good job there by Eazelle and Braxton Duncle.
Speaker 16 (02:02:18):
Wes Hall.
Speaker 2 (02:02:18):
So third down and five big third down here on
their own territory. Last time they had a third or
fourth and five here they went forward. We'll see what happens.
But third and five again, everybody looks at their risk.
I wonder if they had to change the the risk
things there. At halftime, every hands off to Eli Wright
tries to go right up the middle, trying to move forward,
(02:02:41):
but he has stopped and pushed actually backward by a
host of tigers there in the middle of the field,
and I believe that was led by Braxton Duncle Again.
Then they're going to give him a gain of one,
bringing up a fourth down and four from the forty
six yard line.
Speaker 3 (02:02:57):
It looks like we're going to see a pud.
Speaker 5 (02:03:00):
I think that's the right call here.
Speaker 4 (02:03:01):
I don't think you want to come out this early
in the third quarter and give Circleville a really short
field here punning away and give your defense a chance
to slow circle Bill down.
Speaker 2 (02:03:11):
So Azel goes back to receive this punt by Carson Dieskins,
and he's going to get the punt off about the
thirty five yard line. Good punt lands at the twenty.
Azel picks it up at the fourteen, makes a couple moves,
spin move out.
Speaker 3 (02:03:29):
Here to the left. He's got plenty of room now.
Speaker 2 (02:03:32):
He goes over the fifty to the forty to the
thirty five, makes another spin, gets open.
Speaker 3 (02:03:38):
He's going to get all the way to the end.
Speaker 2 (02:03:40):
So after about three or four spin moves and again
that is going to be a eighty four yard ze
punt return by Azel. As you said there at the
end of the first half, he's made a couple of
plays for them.
Speaker 3 (02:03:57):
There's another one.
Speaker 5 (02:03:58):
Oh man, he that was electric.
Speaker 4 (02:04:00):
He I didn't even count, but they had to be
been at least five or six guys that just totally missed.
Didn't even get a chance to get a hand on
him because he's so shifty and when he turns on
the jets, there's nobody.
Speaker 5 (02:04:14):
That's catching him.
Speaker 2 (02:04:14):
Yeah, he made a couple of shifts and then he
made a couple of spins and I don't know what
button that used to be.
Speaker 3 (02:04:20):
What does he button on the video game?
Speaker 2 (02:04:23):
But man, what a job to get all the way
down the field for a touchdown of eighty four yards
on that punt return. So ray Azelle gets his uh
Circleville tighter Tiger crowd excited here in the third quarter,
and that extra point is up and good for Cayden
Paxton and now you've got Circleville up twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (02:04:46):
To twenty one. You're listening to the.

Speaker 46 (02:05:32):

Speaker 18 (02:05:36):

Speaker 2 (02:06:09):
Paxton's kickoff goes all the way back to the five
yard line where the ball was actually dropped, and I
believe it's every back there. They had to go back
and get the ball, and then he got tackled around
the nine yard line. So great kickoff there by Carston Paxton,
putting the west Fall Mustangs back deep in their own territory.
(02:06:32):
This third quarter is brought to you by Chillicothe Truck
Andrew poor field or poor.
Speaker 3 (02:06:39):
Starting position here for the West Baul Mustang.
Speaker 4 (02:06:41):
It's been the theme all night if you had to
ask me, you know, what's one thing that's the difference
in this game right now? It's where west Fall starts
every drive versus where Circleville starts every drive. West Fall
is consistently putting themselves in a hole, and they've got
to figure a way to have better return yards.
Speaker 2 (02:06:59):
Well, the other thing is every time Circle Bill scores,
so does Westfall. So we'll see if that comes to
true here again. Everly, fake handoff now looking out to
number twenty three for a pass he catches it twenty
three is land in sparks and he gets upfield for
a gain of about six.
Speaker 3 (02:07:19):
That's going to bring up second and four.
Speaker 4 (02:07:21):
I like that play call because it's not just running
it up the middle where Circle Bill is able just
to key on it quickly.
Speaker 2 (02:07:28):
Now to the line of scrimmage, hands off to Eli
right and a host of tigers are right there to
get Eli right, and that's going to be a loss
of one. So that's going to bring up a second
or third down and four at the fifteen yard line. Now,
west Fall is going to go back in the traditional
(02:07:49):
huddle as this brings up a very important third down
for them. You don't want to go three and out here, No,
don't in this field position.
Speaker 5 (02:07:57):
No, especially with the momentum Circle Bill HOI right now.
Speaker 4 (02:08:00):
You need to at least see some kind of success
here early in this drive.
Speaker 2 (02:08:09):
So as we await the third and four for west Fall,
Every breaks the hub brings him out three receivers to
the left, one to the right, and Eli right next
to every Every takes the snap goes straight up the
middle of the field and he breaks it on. He's
got the forty, the thirty, the twenty and Everly is
(02:08:30):
going to go all the way into the end zone
again answering the score by Sirperville.
Speaker 3 (02:08:37):
It did not look good early.
Speaker 2 (02:08:39):
In that offensive possession, But what a play call and
what a run there by Quinn Everley Man.
Speaker 5 (02:08:47):
He has had a night tonight.
Speaker 4 (02:08:50):
Broke broke a few tackles as he ran through the
middle there and got an eighty five yard touchdown.
Speaker 2 (02:08:56):
Run while we had an eighty four yard punt return.
Now you get an eighty yard run.
Speaker 5 (02:09:01):
Cool.
Speaker 2 (02:09:01):
So we've had some big long touchdowns here made in
the third quarter.
Speaker 3 (02:09:06):
Seven o' eight to go here in the third quarter.
Speaker 4 (02:09:09):
I'll give credit to Jack Klein there for Circleville on
that play. He was behind Everly, never once slowed down, ran.
Speaker 5 (02:09:17):
With them all the way to the end zone.
Speaker 3 (02:09:19):
And Deskin's kick is good. I'll tell you what.
Speaker 2 (02:09:22):
These extra ports are becoming very important. You got to
make sure you get them in there.
Speaker 4 (02:09:26):
Absolutely so again at seven.
Speaker 3 (02:09:32):
O eight to go here in the third quarter.
Speaker 2 (02:09:34):
Your score now is west Fall Mustang's twenty eighth circle
Bold Tigers twenty eight. You're listening to the accurate heating
and cooling and plumbing.

(02:11:20):
game will also be available for replay starting tomorrow morning.
Click WKKJ dot com look for our podcast page. Little
squib kick or a quick kickup in the air going
to the forty yard line where it is downed immediately
by the Circleville Tigers. I believe that's twenty eighth. I
don't have that on my quick roster. Here Andrew looks
(02:11:43):
like Miles record, so just fell right on the ball.
Give them good field position at the forty one is
where they're going to place it. So they don't want
to give Azelle the chance to return that one.
Speaker 4 (02:11:57):
No, and that's probably a smart idea, although I have
a feeling he's going to touch the ball quite a
bit here on this offensive possession.
Speaker 2 (02:12:06):
So tight possession. Here you have failing going under center.
I believe that is Kaiser Cassidy in the backfield. A
little motion to the right. Faylan going back to pass,
does not see anybody. He looks out here to the
right and their left says, no one's there. I'm just
going to run it as far as I can and
get out of bounce, and that's going to be a
(02:12:26):
gain of right at ten yards to see if they
give him enough for the first pound and maybe just short.
Speaker 4 (02:12:37):
Westfall had the play action covered really well deep, but
they were almost so deep in coverage that when Phalan
saw that nobody was open, there was all kinds of
running room there for him.
Speaker 2 (02:12:48):
So they're going to give him the ten yards to
bring up a first down on the west Fall side
of the field at the forty nine yard line. So
failing now in the pistol form, looks like that is
Ze next to him. We're going to get probably a
legal procedure here on Circleville Tigers or fifteen.
Speaker 4 (02:13:13):
It's five penalties for forty yards now for Circleville.
Speaker 5 (02:13:18):
Again.
Speaker 4 (02:13:18):
You know, the one the times that west Fall has
had success defensively today is they've been able to get
Circleville off schedule a couple of times. And when you
kind of shoot yourself in the foot and it's first
and fifteen instead of first and ten, you just make
life easier on the defense.
Speaker 2 (02:13:36):
So failing pistol formation sends out Cassidy in motion. Now
he's looking down the field, does not see anybody.
Speaker 3 (02:13:44):
He's directing traffic. He's going to be hit right at
the line of scriven and driven back. You see the
number on that Andrew look maybe look like thirteen.
Speaker 2 (02:13:56):
So Eli Wright did not get faked out there by
failing and was able to stop him right that.
Speaker 3 (02:14:04):
Actually, they're gonna lose ice.
Speaker 2 (02:14:06):
Were gonna lose a couple there, a couple of yards.
That's gonna bring up a second and seventeen. Now, as
you said, west fall getting circle bill behind schedule here
second and loan with now failing going under center and
a zel behind him back.
Speaker 5 (02:14:22):
You gotta get a zel the ball here. You got
to figure out a way.
Speaker 2 (02:14:28):
Nope, failing going back to pass. He's gonna turn and
he is going to find a zel on the back side, however,
and he's wide open, gets down.
Speaker 3 (02:14:36):
The field quickly for a game of twenty to make.
Speaker 2 (02:14:39):
Up that seventeen your deficit, and gets a first down.
So great play design there by the Circleville Tigers.
Speaker 4 (02:14:48):
Yeah, they faked the hand off to him and then
rolled the other way and then threw back to him,
and there was all kinds of open space to run.
Speaker 2 (02:14:55):
Looks like we got a zel down on the field here.
I'm thinking that's just a cramp as they're trying to
get him off the field and maybe work on that.
But let's hope that is all that we have there
as he quickly gets off the field. But again a
great design and a great carry out of the fake
by Phelan as he brought everyone with him to the
(02:15:19):
left hand's eye and turned and threw back to a zel.
Speaker 4 (02:15:22):
Well, if your circleville, you have to hope that a
zel's not out long, that it is something like a cramp,
because now Phelan becomes really your only main option here
if your circleville, and that allows Westfall to kind of
gang up on that.
Speaker 2 (02:15:36):
All right, So you got Failing in the pistol with
Cassidy next to him, fake hand off the Cassidy and
Falan takes it right up the middle. I believe I
almost heard a whistle there. Maybe they thought he was down,
but he was not, and they let the play go.
And that's going to be a gain of seven bringing
up a second down and three as a.
Speaker 4 (02:15:56):
Great job there by Failing, Yeah, a really good job
of keeping the ball extended through the fake, which makes
the defense believe that he's handled it off and then
he's able to hit the whole herd and his coach
Sherit mentioned in his pregame interview that Falan has done
a wonderful job getting his offense and understanding the different
(02:16:18):
reads and the different checkoffs that they have, and he
praise him for all that.
Speaker 3 (02:16:26):
Turns hands off to Cassidy. This time. Cassidy goes around
the right hand side.
Speaker 2 (02:16:30):
He's going to be run out of bounds after the
first down game of five, and that's going to be
first and ten at the twenty three yard line of
the west Fall Mustang.
Speaker 3 (02:16:41):
So Circleville first and ten.
Speaker 2 (02:16:44):
Deep in west Fall territory, Lou.
Speaker 4 (02:16:48):
If I'm west Fall right now, I'm gonna put all
my every bit of my attention on Falan, and if
somebody else hurts me, I live with it, right but
I'm gonna make sure he doesn't break off plays right.
Speaker 2 (02:17:00):
Now, free receivers to the left, Cassidy next to failing,
hands off to Cassidy, who goes right up the middle
of the field, and he's going to get a quick
three yard game brings up a second down and seven.
As I look at both sidelines, I do not see
either of those young men that took off. They took
(02:17:22):
off the field earlier. So again our thoughts and hopes
for a speedy recovery for those two young men, hoping
they're not out very long.
Speaker 4 (02:17:35):
Yeah, you only get so many opportunities to do this
in your high school high school career, and you hate
for a kid to miss out on those opportunities.
Speaker 2 (02:17:44):
Failan turns hands. That's Cassidy. Cassidy right up the field.
So again, we haven't seen a zel since he went out,
and it looks like they're over there trying to give
him some liquids to stop that cramping from happening. But
that's going to bring up a first and ten now
inside the twenty, inside the inside the fifteen yard line
(02:18:05):
at the thirteen, So first and ten for Circleville and again,
nice estate drive here by the Tigers, going under four
minutes to go here in the third quarter, fla and
under center. He's got three running backs behind him. He
chooses to hand it off the little deep one that's Cassidy,
(02:18:27):
and he is going to be brought down by Eli
Wright and also number one Carson Deskins.
Speaker 4 (02:18:35):
Right and was all over that. There was no room
to run there for Cassidy.
Speaker 2 (02:18:41):
And again that almost took too long to develop acause
he was so deep into backfield. So west Fall was
able to come up there. And that's gain of nothing.
Brings up the second down and ten. So now they've
got a lot of movement around trying to get everybody
in the right spots is ready to go. They're saying
(02:19:03):
somebody moved. They do not throw a flag. Falan keeps
the ball. He goes around the left hand or right
hand side. Quick game of five brings up a third
and five. That's gonna be right from the ninth.
Speaker 5 (02:19:19):
Yeah, they're gonna go quick snap here, Baylan.
Speaker 2 (02:19:23):
Turns Cassidy and they're going to he dove through all
of that stuff and we'll see. Now, I don't think
they're gonna give him the first down. They're gonna say
he's a yard short. Going to bring up a fourth
down and one. We'll see what coach Cherrett decides to do.
Speaker 50 (02:19:41):
Here.
Speaker 2 (02:19:44):
Huge play here, fourth and one from the four yard line,
and he's in a pistol formation. Faylan gets a snap.
If he keeps it, he goes around the right hand
side and gets all the way to the end zone.
(02:20:05):
Great job there, finding and opening failing, very patient and
is running gets it upfield for the touchdown. So we'll
give him a five yard touchdown run there.
Speaker 3 (02:20:18):
And again.
Speaker 2 (02:20:18):
That puts now the Circleville Tigers up thirty four to
twenty eight, awaiting the extra points.
Speaker 4 (02:20:28):
Yeah, there was so much just congesting in the middle
that when Faylan caught the snap just quickly mounts it
outside and there was no one to stop him.
Speaker 2 (02:20:38):
So Paxton in for the extra point snap, hold it
down and the kick is up and good. So that
now makes.
Speaker 3 (02:20:49):
The score.
Speaker 2 (02:20:52):
Circleville thirty five, west Fall twenty eight, with twoin fourteen
to go here in the third quarter.
Speaker 3 (02:20:59):
Andrew, what are your thoughts so far here in the second.
Speaker 4 (02:21:02):
Half, Well, really nice sustained drive there by. Circleville had
a couple of crucial third downs that they were able
to convert. And you know, as we've seen all game,
when they score, west Fall does the same. So we'll
see if west Fall is able to answer here.
Speaker 2 (02:21:26):
Following tonight's game, It's Friday Night Live joined hosts Tim
Skaggs for a look at all the scores across the
region and interviews with coaches from tonight's game. Listen after
the game until midnight for Friday Night Live, presented by
Accurate Heating, Cooling and Plumbing on ninety four Country WKKJ
and on Buckeye Country one to oh five point five. Well,
(02:21:49):
if you're a fan, you definitely got your money's worth
coming in tonight here at west Fall High School with
now sixty three points put on the scoreboard.
Speaker 4 (02:22:02):
Yeah, certainly has been an exciting game and looks to
continue that down the stretch.
Speaker 2 (02:22:07):
Paxton kick off, This one travels all the way over
the head going into the end zone for a touchback.
Seems like Paxton's got stronger as a game's gone on
here with.
Speaker 4 (02:22:18):
His kicks, He's made a huge difference in this game.
Speaker 5 (02:22:21):
Lou. He's pitting him back deep every time they start.
Speaker 3 (02:22:26):
It's almost like this game may come down to a kick.
Speaker 5 (02:22:29):
Yeah later on, Yeah, they very well could go ahead.
Speaker 2 (02:22:32):
And again, both of the kickers here tonight have done
a good job, So we're waiting the Westfall Mustang's coming
out here. On offense, Quinn Eberly now takes the field
first in ten at the twenty yard line for west
Fall with two fourteen to go. Here in the third quarter,
(02:22:54):
west Fall breaks the huddle Eberly in the still formation
with Eli Wright to his right, motion to the left.
Now hands off to Eli right. Going around the left
hand side, he finds it opening going right up the middle,
gets hit from behind after a gain of twenty two
(02:23:19):
on the play, first down Westfall. What a way to
start to drive.
Speaker 5 (02:23:23):
Yeah, a way to answer the bell there.
Speaker 4 (02:23:25):
Eli Wright's now nineteen carriers for one hundred and twenty
five yards loose.
Speaker 5 (02:23:30):
He's having a phenomenal night.
Speaker 2 (02:23:31):
And again he's really hasn't when you talk about some
of his carries. He's only had thirty four carries on
the year. Now, those have all been productive carries. He
and his cousin Joey have done a good job of
tandem running backs. But tonight it's all Eli right in
that running back position. He's handling the carrying the load well,
(02:23:54):
evererly tries the handoff to Eli right and nothing doing there.
And that is number thirteen for the Circleville Tigers coming
in and thereaking havoc on that play.
Speaker 3 (02:24:05):
That was Kayden Sanchez.
Speaker 4 (02:24:07):
Kind of a broken play there from the very beginning,
never really had a chance to get anything going.
Speaker 2 (02:24:13):
So it brings up a second and fifteen for the
west fall. Mustang's yeah, that play too long to happen,
And it just seemed like, I don't know if Eli
Right knew where he was going right.
Speaker 4 (02:24:26):
They definitely were not on the same page.
Speaker 2 (02:24:28):
There all right. So again one final look over to
coach step for the play. Eber Lee a waits a snap,
we get motion here to the right hand side, turns
hands off to Eli Wright coming to the right hand
side and finds an opening. He is now still finds
an opening, runs over a player off the sideline, and
(02:24:51):
he picks up the first down that is going to
be a gain of that's twenty six twenty seven that play.
Speaker 4 (02:25:01):
There were two times on that run where he just
lowered his shoulder and put it right into the defender's.
Speaker 5 (02:25:06):
Chest and the didn't have a chance.
Speaker 2 (02:25:07):
It's almost like you said, you know what, I'm too
tired to make a move. I'm just gonna run over again.
They go back to Eli Right. This time he stopped
right at the line of scrimmage by number thirteen, Cayden Sanchez.
It's almost like, Caden Sanchez, at your job, find Eli.
Speaker 3 (02:25:23):
Right, and stay with him.
Speaker 16 (02:25:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:25:24):
Absolutely, And I believe that is.
Speaker 2 (02:25:28):
Going to be the end of the third quarter as
west Fall is not going to run another play, maybe
get some a break for their offense as we get
ready to go.
Speaker 3 (02:25:36):
Into the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (02:25:38):
As we go to the fourth quarter, that is going

five to twenty eight. As we head to the third

goes up the field for about a six yard game
and then on third and about four, Eli Wright goes
around the left hand side and he's going to get
a first down inside the twenty five yard line at
the twenty four So that brings up at first and
(02:28:38):
ten now for Westfall, and Eli Wright comes up a
little gimpy after that one. They CERCOVI wanted a fumble call,
but clearly the ground calls that fumble.
Speaker 4 (02:28:47):
Yeah, lou Eli Wright has twenty two carries tonight for
one hundred and fifty six yards. Quinn, everly has eight
carries for one hundred and forty six yards. Those two
have combined for three hundred and two yards on the ground.
Speaker 2 (02:28:59):
Tonight, so every over here getting some fluids in him
while he is out. We've got you see the player
there in the back end or I can't twenty eight
goes in motion. Everly just gets everyone out of the
way and takes it straight up the middle of the field,
and that's going to be a gain of almost fifteen yards.
(02:29:20):
We're gonna get two flags thrown here by one official.
Speaker 3 (02:29:25):
I don't know if they're going to call that on.
Speaker 2 (02:29:27):
Both individuals there, but we had some extracurricular activity go
on there after the play, so we'll see what the
our referee calls. Going to be dead ball foul, personal foul,
west Fall personal foul, circlevilla, theay offset and the play continues,
(02:29:50):
So that's going to be a first down because that
was a dead ball foul after the play, so some
officials are trying to move the ball back. The referee
steps up and says, nope, we're going to keep it
right here. That's Carl Wolf making sure everybody understands the
ball is going to stay right here. That's going to
be a first town at the eleven yard line for
(02:30:13):
the west Fall Mustang. So Everley just took the ball
and said I'm going right up the middle, and I'll
tell you what he has done one of four jobs
and I'll stepping in.
Speaker 5 (02:30:20):
Been phenomenal.
Speaker 4 (02:30:21):
He took a shot there at the end of that play,
so hopefully it doesn't affect him too much. I'm not
sure who which players were going at it, but Coach
Stepp was getting after somebody on his real line, like
don't react, don't don't hurt your team.
Speaker 2 (02:30:40):
So ten fifty nine to go into this ball game,
westfall down seven. They now have the ball first and
ten at the eleven yard line of the Circleville Tigers.
We're going to do We got Eli right back in
the game, yep, So we got right behind every in
the pistol formation. He turns, hands it the right right,
ends up going right up the middle, sort of like
(02:31:03):
a scrum, and he ends up getting inside the tent
all the way down to the yard line. They can
get a first down around the one or one and
a half, and they're gonna mark it down at the
nine yard line, so that's gonna bring up a second down.
Speaker 4 (02:31:21):
And eight right does a really good job of running
behind his paths and that allows when that first contact happens,
it allows him to kind of deliver the blow as
opposed to the opposite, and he's just been really effective
after first contact.
Speaker 2 (02:31:37):
Tonight'st well in no hurry to get things going here.
They want to take as much time as they can't
off the clock. But the thing of it is you
got to make sure you get a score here. Eberly
follows his blockers as he gets all the way down
inside the five yard line. Are they gonna market right, yeah,
(02:32:00):
just inside the five, we'll say it around the four
you're going to bring up at third down and three.
Speaker 4 (02:32:09):
I can't say enough about this west Fall offensive line
here tonight. They've early in the game, they gave Podducts
plenty of time to throw when they needed to, and
since he's gone out, they've done a great job of
removing the line of scrimmage and allowing their runners to
get momentum as they go forward.
Speaker 2 (02:32:27):
So west Fall again taking their time here third and
along two, Eberlely sends a man in motion. Now he
goes back hand off to right right up the middle.
Speaker 3 (02:32:44):
Get emmentum. He's going to get all the way into
the ends of a west Fall touchdown.
Speaker 2 (02:32:50):
That's going to be a four yard touchdown run by
Eli Wrights.
Speaker 4 (02:32:56):
Yeah, he got hit but just kept the legs moving
and is not going to be denied getting in for six.
Speaker 2 (02:33:02):
And that is touchdown number three on the night for
Eli with nine twenty to go, awaiting the extra point
to tie this thing up. Fault and again these are
very important things here. So Carson Deskin's out for the
extra point and we should have a new holder out
(02:33:24):
there since we don't have Bonnets in the game. But
the snap was good, the hold was good, and Deskin's
field goal.
Speaker 3 (02:33:32):
Or point after.
Speaker 52 (02:33:47):
People like years ago, maybe a manual for how exactly
my body works. A lot of times I feel like
I'm just winging it. But by OME it's different. It's
actual clarity. They test what's happening inside your body. Then
they turn that into a plan that's basically a personalized

At the Chilicotheva Medical Center. We're here for those who
stood for us.
Speaker 2 (02:42:53):
All right. Back at west Fall High School, we had
some technical difficulties there as Circleville was taking over a
possession of the ball andrew Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:43:03):
So Circleville had the ball, got a holding penalty, followed
that up with a personal foul penalty.
Speaker 5 (02:43:10):
They had it at third and thirty nine.
Speaker 4 (02:43:12):
They were only able to get a few yards and
then they punted and got a fifty two yard punt.
So west Fall's taken over its second down.
Speaker 2 (02:43:20):
So we pick it up here, we throw it out
the land and sparks out here on the right left
hand side. He's going to get all the way down
the field of the forty yard line. How Webberg, we
do have a flag on the play. We're probably coming
back here. But again a great design call there, and
that was second down and eleven and Every did a
(02:43:40):
great job of faking the Eli right who then Every
threw it out here the land and Sparks for sort
of like a little screen pass wide receiver screen. But
it looks like we are getting I didn't see the
actual it was blocking the back.
Speaker 5 (02:43:57):
Yeah, it had that place too.
Speaker 4 (02:43:58):
It would have been about a forty five game for
landon Sparks. Unfortunately, they're gonna have a second really long
here now.
Speaker 2 (02:44:05):
All right, so second down with six point forty to
go here we were off the air for about three
or four minutes of the game, and again that was
Circleville's possession where it seemed like they kept going back
into their own territory and eventually punts again a good punt.
Speaker 3 (02:44:22):
Now Westfall has taken over.
Speaker 2 (02:44:24):
Now there is second down and looks like about sixteen
here on their own seventeen yard line with six point
twenty two to go. In clock running and again Westfall
in no hurry to get things moving. They finally now
break the huddle and they're down under five seconds ago
(02:44:45):
on the play clock. Snapped right around the play clock,
that's hand off up the middle to Eli Wright. He's
gonna get a gain of about three yards on the
play four yards. That's gonna bring up a third down
and twelve. Now the twenty yard line.
Speaker 4 (02:45:03):
Well, you got to come up with something a little
creative here, third and twelve. You'd love to extend this drive.
You don't want to give Circle the ball back with
right around five minutes left, So you got to have
something creative and you know, get get one of your
athletes the ball in space.
Speaker 2 (02:45:20):
So west Fall breaks the huddle Everly now in the
pistol formation, Eli right to his right. You got three
receivers to the right as well, one to the left.
Everley gets a snap, goes back to pass, looks like
they're looking for a wide receiver screen and it is
caught and dropped by number twelve Aiden Daniels. I shouldn't
(02:45:42):
say cott. It hit his hands and he dropped it.
Nice design play. They had that earlier in the game,
but this time they were not able to connect on it.
Going to bring up a fourth and fourth or fourth
and twelve on the twenty yard line.
Speaker 5 (02:45:59):
Yeah, a really well designed play.
Speaker 4 (02:46:02):
Had the blockers moving upfield, but just weren't able to
bring it in.
Speaker 2 (02:46:08):
So this is going to bring a west Fall punt.
What a great that is Deskins with no one back. Basically,
it hits at the forty yard line of Circleville and
is going to go dead at the twenty eight yard
line of Circleville. So again that's going to travel.
Speaker 5 (02:46:24):
About fifty two yards again fifty.
Speaker 2 (02:46:26):
So both punters, great job of, you know, not giving
good field position to the other team. So back to
Circleville here in this chess match of trying to see
who's going.
Speaker 3 (02:46:40):
To end up on top.
Speaker 2 (02:46:41):
Right now, it's thirty five thirty five, with five a
way to go in this ballgame, and it is now
Circleville's chance on offense where they will take over at
their own twenty eight yard line.
Speaker 4 (02:46:53):
You look out on the field right now, Low and
guys are exhausted. This may be one of those games
that comes down to who can be the man standing.
But these guys have fought all night. They've given their
heart and soul, and we're in for an exciting finish here.
Speaker 2 (02:47:07):
Yeah, this is sort of a battle of attrition here.
Flan in the backfield, waiting to snap in the pistol formation,
turns hands to azel. Azelle's going to the left hand
side trying to find an opening, gets away from one man,
but he's gonna be brought down after about a game
of four, going to bring up a second down and.
Speaker 4 (02:47:29):
We'll call it six. Good to see him back in
the game. Looks like it was just cramps for him,
so he could he could play a pivotal role down
down this drive here, lou So.
Speaker 2 (02:47:42):
As we wind the clocks going down to about four
thirty to go here in this ball game, Falan's going
to go under center this time, motion turns hands to Cassidy.
Speaker 3 (02:47:56):
Cassidy gets the ball.
Speaker 2 (02:47:57):
And he's going to be stopped right around the line scrimmage.
He's going to fall forward. However, they're gonna give him
a gain of one. It's going to bring up a
third down and three. With four fifteen to go here
in the ball game, rucial, crucial.
Speaker 5 (02:48:11):
Play coming up.
Speaker 4 (02:48:12):
I think if you're if you're circle will it's one
of two things. It's either a carry by failing or
it's finding a way.
Speaker 5 (02:48:18):
To get a zell the ball in space.
Speaker 3 (02:48:21):
So you have Failan and a zel in the backfield.
Speaker 2 (02:48:25):
Zel to the left hand side of Failan, two receivers
to the left, one to the right. Felan taking his
time now with five seconds going to playcock. He gets
a staff, goes around to the left hand side, gets
up the field for the first down. That's going to
be a gain of five, and that's going to bring
first and ten at the forty yard line for the
(02:48:46):
Circleville Tigers, as the play clock now or the game
clock is now at three forty one, so it's stopped initially.
Speaker 4 (02:48:54):
Nothing cute about that play call that that's a situation
where it's like, we're gonna put the ball in our
best player's hands right now and just let him do
what he does.
Speaker 2 (02:49:04):
If you're Circleville, you want to take this clock down
as much as you can and possibly get a score
out of this first and ten at their own forty
yard line. Faylan hard snap count, No one goes off sides,
changes the play a little bit, turn hand off, fakes
to Cassidy. He keeps it going up field a little
(02:49:24):
bit to the left hand side, and he's going to
get at least eleven on that. So again he's finding
the openings as he does that fake handoff, and once
he sees an opening, he just darts right fourth.
Speaker 4 (02:49:36):
Yeah, and he kind of got tripped up there at
the end of that play. Had he not it could
have been going for the distance.
Speaker 2 (02:49:44):
So both teams with all three timeouts here three h five,
three oh four. It's going to be under three minutes
to go in this game when this snap takes place.
Felan's going under center here with Cassidy behind him. Motion
here to the right turn gives the ball to the Cassidy.
Cassidy's met it the line of scrimmage by a host of.
Speaker 3 (02:50:07):
West Fall Mustangs.
Speaker 2 (02:50:08):
They're gonna give him a gain of one, gonna bring
up a second down and nine from just inside.
Speaker 3 (02:50:15):
Now they're gonna.
Speaker 2 (02:50:16):
Put it at the forty eight of the west Fall Mustangs.
So they are inside west Fall territory with under two
thirty then out now go in this game, and again
neither team in a hurry.
Speaker 4 (02:50:30):
If Circleville doesn't get much going here, doesn't get many yards,
I can see west Fall taking the.
Speaker 2 (02:50:36):
Time out here, all right, Falan gets the pitch. Now
he pitches out to Etsel upfield. He's gonna get a
first down as he came to the right hand side
and found some opening, got upfield and a gain of
eleven yards on the play, going to bring up the
first ten clock now stopped to two o four as
(02:51:00):
we get into around the thirty eight yard line, just
inside clock now under two minutes. Remember both these field
goal kickers have pretty good legs.
Speaker 4 (02:51:10):
Yeah, I was just thinking, if you're Westfall here, you
really want to try to avoid giving up, you know,
any more than like ten twelve yards here, because Circlevill's
kickers has a leg and they could certainly, you know,
put him in a situation to attempt the field.
Speaker 2 (02:51:25):
Go Felan tried to either hand off or keep it.
That did not go well. He comes out here to
the left hand side where he's met by a host
of Westfall. Mustang's Eli Wright was out there as well
as number seventy four Russ Callahan to bring him down
for virtually no gain on that play. So it's going
(02:51:47):
to bring up second and ten at the thirty eight
and the clocks still running now with one ten to
go here in the ballgame.
Speaker 4 (02:51:54):
Yeah, Lou, I think if your circle will, you may
want to.
Speaker 5 (02:51:57):
Start picking it up here a little bit.
Speaker 2 (02:51:59):
Now.
Speaker 3 (02:51:59):
Guy is all over the place.
Speaker 2 (02:52:00):
I don't think everybody's in the right position, failing and
waiting the snap turns, looks to throw rolling out to
his left, he keeps it gets upfield, he's tackled at
the thirty yard line, so short of the first down
clock still running now stopped.
Speaker 3 (02:52:20):
Leave west or z.
Speaker 2 (02:52:22):
Or circle bow sorry circle boll called the time out
here with forty seven point four seconds to go, and
this is third and three at the.
Speaker 3 (02:52:32):
Thirty one yard line of Westfall.
Speaker 2 (02:52:34):
Yeah, I think you're in.
Speaker 4 (02:52:35):
Four down territory here, Lou. You're still too far for
a field goal, but you're in a position now where
even if you don't get it on fourth down, you're
not gonna give west Fall a good field position. So
right now, as the play caller, you're thinking not only
about this play, but you know, having contingencies for what
happens on third down and if you need to go
forward on fourth down, what.
Speaker 5 (02:52:55):
Are you running?
Speaker 2 (02:52:56):
So again, I think probably going to see the in
Fhalan's hands, obviously, and that is going to be sort
of a read type play. He's either going to hand
it off or he's going to keep it. I don't
think you can get too tricky here with the passploy.
Speaker 4 (02:53:12):
So Falan has eighteen carries for one hundred and.
Speaker 5 (02:53:17):
Thirty yards tonight from the quarterback spot.
Speaker 2 (02:53:20):
Now he's had games here this year. The first two
games where he's had multiple carries. He's had a game
he had twenty carries in and things like that. Now
he hasn't had the yard he's like he's had tonight,
but he's come up big for Circleville with Colen gets
Sir out of the game.
Speaker 3 (02:53:38):
So here we go, third down and three.
Speaker 2 (02:53:40):
You have Failing in the backfield in the pistol formation
with Cassidy next to him on his left. He follows Cassidy.
Now he bounces it out further to the left. He
is still moving. That's going to be the first down,
and it's going to stop the clock with forty one
point six. He got a gain of about been on
the play, so it's going to bring up first intendant
(02:54:03):
to twenty two yard line. Now you're getting in a
spot where you possibly could do a field goal. The
clock is running and they are in the huddle. Now
they break the huddle. Clock now down to thirty seconds failing,
we get a time out now by west fall Ye.
Speaker 4 (02:54:22):
Just by the way you coach Sharance managed this clock,
you have to feel like he feels good about their
ability to make a field goal.
Speaker 5 (02:54:31):
Yeah, and obviously he knows his guy better than we do.
Speaker 4 (02:54:34):
And we've certainly seen him kick the ball off tonight
and it's done a really good job.
Speaker 2 (02:54:41):
So here with twenty eight point three seconds ago, here
in this ball game, you have the Circleville Tigers first
intend at the twenty two yard line of the west
Fall Mustangs.
Speaker 3 (02:54:53):
Big play calls.
Speaker 2 (02:54:54):
Now again, both teams have two timeouts, so they have
plenty of timeouts to.
Speaker 3 (02:54:58):
Manage these twenty eight seconds.
Speaker 2 (02:55:01):
But if your circle bill, you obviously want to take
care of the football.
Speaker 4 (02:55:06):
Yeah, I think there's one option of the player run
here your circle bill, and that's failing.
Speaker 2 (02:55:15):
So coach chare keeping failing on the sidelines that everybody
else came on and give him a last.
Speaker 3 (02:55:21):
Minute extra instructions.
Speaker 2 (02:55:25):
Goes in, makes the play call in the huddle, they
break the huddle and comes out with Azel next to
him on his right hand side in the pistol formation,
tight formation for the Circleville Tigers awaiting to snap is failing,
gets it fakes to Azelle. He follows Azelle and he
(02:55:46):
has tackled in the backfield by west Fall. I believe
that is Eli Wright. So we get a time out
there by circle bell. Now with eighteen seconds on the
clock and a second and ten. Well, you got two
timeouts now for Circleville, they can still run whatever they
(02:56:09):
play they want here, and if they don't get the
first down or get out of bounce, you still have
that two timeouts to run another play before you have
to attempt the field goal.
Speaker 4 (02:56:19):
According to the scoreboard, loo It says that uh, Circleville
only has one okay, So that changes the strategy, it
chured us it chureed does, because you want to use
that to set up the field goal if it.
Speaker 5 (02:56:33):
Comes to that.
Speaker 4 (02:56:34):
So you're really probably looking at just one play if
it's a run or a completed pass, before you have
to burn the time out.
Speaker 2 (02:56:45):
So again, if they do not get the first down here,
they're going to have to call time out because I
doubt they'll have time to get up and spike it,
or if they don't get out of bounce as well.
So big play here, second and ten from the twenty
two yard line. You have failing and Eazel in the
backfield awaiting the snap. Snap hands off to his Zel's
(02:57:10):
going to the left hand side. He cuts it upfield,
then gets out of bounce. He's going to be short
of the first down by about two yards, so he
gets a gain of eight. But now you're down to
twelve point three seconds to go. You do have the
one time out, so here you go, coach sheret. So
we have a player from west Fall who's.
Speaker 3 (02:57:31):
Hemet came off. He's gonna have to come out of
the game.
Speaker 2 (02:57:34):
So that's a substitution there made by west Fall.
Speaker 4 (02:57:40):
That's Rick Hanley, who's played a pretty pivotal role in
this defense. I almost wonder if your coach step, if
you take a time out right now to allow him
to get back into the game.
Speaker 2 (02:57:49):
Well, he's thinking of it.
Speaker 4 (02:57:54):
You got two left and there's not going to be
an opportunity to use it.
Speaker 2 (02:57:58):
So here we go.
Speaker 3 (02:57:58):
Circleville.
Speaker 2 (02:57:59):
Tiger is break the huddle. Here, third down and two
from the fifteen yard line, fling away to snap, gets it.
Speaker 3 (02:58:07):
He's coming around the right hand side.
Speaker 2 (02:58:09):
He just quickly fell down, so he slid down to
take the ball to the middle of the field. So
coach Cherritt was playing for the field goal here with
eight point three to go.
Speaker 3 (02:58:21):
This brings up fourth down. Now here's the thing.
Speaker 2 (02:58:24):
Fourth down, you don't get it, you get a bad
snap or something like that. You're turning the ball over
on downs.
Speaker 4 (02:58:29):
Yeah, yeah, he's gonna get one shot at it. I
would be surprised if Coach Stepp doesn't try to ice.
Speaker 5 (02:58:37):
The field goal kicker here before he kicks.
Speaker 4 (02:58:38):
It's going to be about a thirty two yard or loose.
So certainly, with again with what we've seen, he has
the leg to do it. It's just a matter of
everything coming together to snap the hold and everything going right.
Speaker 2 (02:58:51):
Yeah, and first Circleville, that is the snapper, Blake Patterson.
He's a tight end and your holder is going to
be Alex Bradlin. So that is the triumphant hear of
this field goald attempt. And the kicker is Cayden Packston.
So again we're looking at a thirty two yard field
goal attempt right from the middle of the field. You
(02:59:14):
got west Fall now calling their time out twice. The
kicker and now, as all good kickers, will pick up
the t run over to the sideline instead of standing
there on the field and looking so eight point three.
(02:59:35):
You and I talked about this it could come down
to kicking, and here it is eight point three to go.
Both of these gentlemen have made their extra points all
night long, and here you have a chance for young
mister Cayden Paxton to win the game for his Circle.
Speaker 3 (02:59:50):
Bl Tigers keep them three and ozer.
Speaker 5 (02:59:52):
Kayden Paxton has.
Speaker 4 (02:59:53):
Given his team an advantage every time he has kicked
off and he has put the ball deep, he's made
it the circle. West Fall has not had a be
a good field position, and so Kyden Paxton, regardless of
what happens here, has made an impact on this game.
Speaker 2 (03:00:09):
Well, here we go, both teams running out onto the field.
We're going to see some type of action happen here
now as both teams have had their time outs, eight
point three seconds to go fourth and four, and the
kick is going to happen from the twenty two yard line.
That's been going to make it a thirty two yard
field goal attempt by Kayden Patterson awaiting the snap, and Westfall.
Speaker 3 (03:00:37):
Just ran off sides.
Speaker 2 (03:00:42):
So if you're Circleville, you're going to get five yards
further up. That's going to bring up first down. You
still have a time out, No, you do not have
a timeout. I keep getting the different boards messed up here,
So now you're gonna get five yards closer. So now
(03:01:03):
it's a twenty seven yard field, go to tempt from
the middle of the field and we're gonna get a
time out west Fall.
Speaker 4 (03:01:09):
Oh man, what a what a tough penalty for west Fall.
Speaker 5 (03:01:13):
Dude, that's that's a killer.
Speaker 4 (03:01:16):
Thirty two feels like it's on the edge of not
a lot of high school kickers are going to are
gonna be able to make this.
Speaker 5 (03:01:22):
Twenty seven feels a lot more makeable.
Speaker 2 (03:01:25):
Yep. So twenty seven yards is what we're going to have.
And again, a lot of things happen to happen. You
have to have a good snap, you gotta have a
good hold, and obviously the kick then you.
Speaker 3 (03:01:36):
Got a block.
Speaker 4 (03:01:36):
I'm sure west Fall is gonna go all out here
trying to get.
Speaker 2 (03:01:40):
A piece of the ball and west Fall what they did.
They're basically just try to time the snap and it
didn't happen. So five yards closer. As we go through
the time out here, the kicker getting extra iced if
that's a if that's a thing. He's running back out
(03:02:01):
with his tea again, so he's going back.
Speaker 3 (03:02:04):
And forth here.
Speaker 2 (03:02:06):
West Fall trying to get the crowd involved here, get
get him as loud as possible. You got the west
Fall student section there behind the field goal that they
are kicking down two. So here we go, fourth down,
our first down and goal and a twenty seven yard
field goal.
Speaker 3 (03:02:27):
Town snap hold kick is good?
Speaker 7 (03:02:32):
Good?
Speaker 3 (03:02:32):
Missed it to the left? Wow, missed it to the left.
Speaker 2 (03:02:38):
And that is going to take us to four point
one seconds to go in this ball game.
Speaker 3 (03:02:45):
And is there.
Speaker 4 (03:02:46):
Any gonna was gonna end a little We deserve extra
time in this we do, so four point one to go,
So west Fall is going to get a snap here.
Speaker 3 (03:02:59):
We'll see what Westfall does with that. But again, with.
Speaker 2 (03:03:03):
Four point one to go in the game, Paxton's kick
sailed to the left, and that is going to take
us most likely into overtime. As now, Circle Bill is
going to line up everyone about all defensive backs about
(03:03:24):
twenty five yards pass or downfield.
Speaker 4 (03:03:28):
Yeah, I don't think there's any other action than taken
in me here, and they can try something here, I'll
I'll salute their bravery.
Speaker 3 (03:03:38):
So here we go. Eberly awaits a snap.
Speaker 5 (03:03:42):
Play, aren't they.
Speaker 2 (03:03:45):
He takes it. He's going to follow his blockers around
the left hand side.
Speaker 3 (03:03:50):
He's got a little bit of an opening.
Speaker 2 (03:03:51):
He was able to get about ten yards on the play.
Speaker 3 (03:03:55):
But that's where this game is going to end.
Speaker 2 (03:03:57):
As we get ready to go into overtime, we are
tied Westfall Mustangs thirty five and the Circle bl Tigers
thirty five. You're listening to the accurate PD pulling and

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country WKKJA.
Speaker 2 (03:05:22):
Back at West Fall High School. As we get ready
or await the overtime period, as they're going to be
meeting here at midfield and discussing with both coaches how
things are going to go, and the captain's out there
as well. Let me go over some other scores for
around the svc Adena now leads Landmark Christian Academy eight
to seven in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 4 (03:05:42):
They just want on the safety, is what I was.
Speaker 2 (03:05:44):
Told, all right, so we think that's a final McLain
Tigers have come back on the Paint Valley Bearcats. They
now lead thirty five to twenty two against Paint Valley.
And as I look down through some of these others,
Uniodo defeated Waiverley forty nine to six. Amanda Clear Creek
defeated the Zane Trace Pioneers. I believe that score was
(03:06:08):
twenty five to seven. The piked In Red Streaks were
defeated by Lucasville Valley twenty four to seven, Southeastern One
forty two to six. That's a team we'll see next
week at Adina. So both those teams will be coming
off a win next week as they get ready for
Leake to play.
Speaker 4 (03:06:27):
Yeah, so lou looking at overtime rules in the high
school game in Ohio. Basically each team, the first team
will start with a possession at their opponents twenty. They'll
have that possession. Whatever happens on that possession. The other
team will also get a possession on the twenty. If
we're still tied after one overtime, we will continue to
(03:06:48):
do that until we get a winner.
Speaker 2 (03:06:50):
All right, So we are awaiting the corny flip here
circle Well, I'm sure is going to get to call it,
and let's see what it is. And it is west Fall.
Seems like they've won the one. The coin flip though,
looks like they're probably going to defer like they.
Speaker 3 (03:07:09):
Did at the beginning of the game, so that I'll mean.
Speaker 2 (03:07:14):
Circleville will get the ball first, and it looks like
the action is going to take place on the west
end of the field, with Circleville getting the ball the
twenty yard line of the Mustangs and that is where
we'll get this extra session started.
Speaker 4 (03:07:30):
Yeah, west Fall wanted the student section to be involved
in this, in these possessions, so that that's why they
chose what they chose.
Speaker 2 (03:07:37):
Well, I'd tell you, Andrew, I have a feeling that
if it was down at the other end that that
student section will probably go that way.
Speaker 3 (03:07:46):
They made it easy on them.
Speaker 2 (03:07:47):
They do not have to move, but they are now
out of the bleachers down there to maybe make it
more imposing as we see Circleville's offense coming out and
failing and waiting the sideline there with coach Shared awaiting
the call to come out and get this overtime started.
So again, it's first and ten at the twenty, so
(03:08:09):
you can gain a first down at the ten yard line,
and you know, if you get stopped and the other
team gains possession, or if there is a turnover, if
there's an interception and west Fall runs it all the
way back, this game is over.
Speaker 4 (03:08:24):
I think if you're circle, well here, you're gonna.
Speaker 3 (03:08:26):
See a Zelle touch the ball here.
Speaker 4 (03:08:29):
West Fall's so key tod On failing right now that
I think you have to keep them all balanced and
create some way to get a Zell the.
Speaker 2 (03:08:37):
Ball, but it doesn't even look like he's in the game.
Speaker 3 (03:08:39):
He's not.
Speaker 2 (03:08:40):
So you got Cassidy next to Failing in the back though.
You got three receivers to the left hand side, fake
to Cassidy Failing out running to the left. He runs upfield,
and he's going to get all the way down, probably
close to the first down if they give it to him.
And it looks like they're going to be just short.
(03:09:00):
It looks like they're going to market at the eleven
yard line, so it's going to bring up second and one.
Speaker 4 (03:09:07):
Such a tough, physical runner as Failing Lou, I've been
so impressed with the way that he has just put
his head down when he gets into traffic and doesn't
concede any yards.
Speaker 2 (03:09:17):
Yeah, he doesn't force anything downfield either. I mean he's
looking downfield, nothing open.
Speaker 3 (03:09:21):
He just takes off and runs.
Speaker 2 (03:09:23):
So now he's got a zel next to him on
his right hand side in the backfield. Faylan gets a snap,
he follows his zel right up the right hand side.
He's going to get the first down. He's going to
be inside the ten, close to the five. They're gonna
mark him at the six and that's going to bring
up first and goal from the six yard line four
the Tigers. So again it's been all failing here in
(03:09:49):
the overtime period. He's gonna be tired to.
Speaker 4 (03:09:55):
Hey, by the way, just disregard everything I said about
trying to get some else the ball. Just give him
the ball and let him go get a score.
Speaker 2 (03:10:03):
So we've got Cassidy back in the game. He's to
the left side of Failing in the backfield. Failing awaits
a snap here in the pistol comes to him, fake
hand off the Cassidy, Failing keeps it right up the middle.
This time he's going, he's going, He's still moving, and
that's going to get all the way into the end zone. However,
we got a flag on the play.
Speaker 3 (03:10:23):
That is not going to be after the.
Speaker 2 (03:10:24):
Play, that is during the play, so we'll see what
they're going to call. The result of the play is
a touchdown, and we're still awaiting. They are discussing, and
it's going to be on west fall, So that touchdown
is going to stand. So that'll be a six yard
(03:10:48):
Failing touchdown run. And now Paxton comes on for the
extra point.
Speaker 4 (03:10:58):
Yeah, again, Failan doing what he does just going into
traffic and fighting for those yards and coming out with
the score.
Speaker 2 (03:11:07):
So right now it's forty one to thirty five. Paxton
awaiting the extra point attempt. His kick is up and
it is good. So West Fall will get their opportunity
here from the twenty yard line now trailing forty two
to thirty fives.
Speaker 4 (03:11:28):
Well, the good thing about defending first is you know
exactly what you have to do, and the bad thing
about defending first is that if you give up a touchdown,
you know what you have to do. Uh, So we'll
see here. You know, I think they're going to continue
to do what they've done since Everly's taking over at quarterback,
which is use him and Eli Wright as kind of
(03:11:50):
compliment each other and let the offensive line continue to.
Speaker 5 (03:11:54):
Create lanes up front.
Speaker 2 (03:11:55):
Yeah, after circle Bill, you can't really focus on one
guy because there is two the guys there in the backfield.
As we see Eli right right behind Everley. They hand
off to Eli right, he comes to the right hand side,
he breaks free, he gets inside the fifteen yard line.
He's brought down by number four Cassidy at the fourteen
yard line. That's going to bring up a second and
(03:12:17):
six quickly right to the line of scrimmage. You have
Everly and Eli right to his left. This time snacked
to Everley hands off to Eli. He comes to the right.
He side steps the first He fumbles the football. However,
west Fall does fall on it, and we've got a
flag here behind the play, So there was a fumble
(03:12:40):
butt it was recovered by west Fall.
Speaker 5 (03:12:42):
Where the flag was thrown.
Speaker 4 (03:12:43):
Loo had zero impact on anything that was happening.
Speaker 2 (03:12:48):
So we're going to get a holding penalty on west Fall.
So that'll keep it at second down. But now it
to bring up about a second and fifteen from the
twenty five yard line, just inside the twenty five and
twenty four, so we'll call it a second down and fourteen.
Speaker 4 (03:13:09):
Without much ability to throw the ball right now. This
is not what you want if you're Westfall. You don't
want to get off schedule.
Speaker 2 (03:13:18):
So as west Fall breaks the huddle, you have one
receiver out here to the right. You have two tight
to the right as well, Everly and Eli right in
the backfield. Everley gets a snap, follows Eli right. He
comes around the right hand side. Everley is free. He
gets inside the twenty down to the about the fifteen
roughly makes up that ten yards that they just lost
(03:13:41):
because of the holding, gets to about the sixteen yard line,
it's going to bring up a third and six. So
again four down territory obviously for west Fall here at
the sixteen yard line.
Speaker 4 (03:13:59):
If coming in, I would have told you that Queneverly
would have one hundred and eighty two yards rushing, would
you believe me?
Speaker 2 (03:14:05):
Lift sitting in class at the end of the day,
I don't think quin Everley thought he would have that
many yards rushing.
Speaker 3 (03:14:14):
But I guarantee you Logan Step is really happy.
Speaker 2 (03:14:17):
Yes, right now for Quinn Everly, he would like him
to get about sixteen more yards right here. So west
Fall breaks the huddle you have Everly and Eli right
in the backfield right now, goes behind every and we're
going to get a time out call. I don't think
everybody was lined up in the right spots. So Logan
Step makes that call, gets the time out. Both teams
(03:14:40):
get one time out per overtime period.
Speaker 4 (03:14:47):
Yeah, you know, I think for west Fall here again,
like you said, it's four down territories, So you're trying
to figure out how do we get four yards here?
If if we can get four yards here on the play.
With what we've been able to do offensively throughout the
course of the night, we feel like we.
Speaker 5 (03:15:04):
Can go get to on fourth down.
Speaker 4 (03:15:06):
Yeah, so if you can just find a way to
you know, you're telling your offensive linement like, dig deep
right now, whatever what you know, you don't, it doesn't
feel like you have anything, dig deep somewhere and find it,
because those guys have to be exhausted.
Speaker 2 (03:15:19):
And that's exactly what the defensive coaches I'm sure are
saying over there in circle. Take down, get a stop here,
don't let them get this first down. So both teams
break the huddle from their respective coaches back out on
to the field. You have a tight formation from Westfall,
all the receivers out here to the right hand side,
(03:15:41):
tight to the line of scrimmage. Evererly gets a snap,
he follows everyone over here to the right hand side,
and again, as you said, he was not worried about
getting the six yards. He ended up getting about three yards.
That's going to bring up a fourth down and three
(03:16:03):
so out of timeouts here for west Fall. So you
can't call timeout and make sure everybody's on the same page.
You just got to call play.
Speaker 4 (03:16:12):
I think Eli writes the guy that has to get
the ball right here, whether you hand it off or
run some sort of screenplay for him, he's the he's
the guy that I think you have to put it
ball in his hands and you live with the results
either way.
Speaker 2 (03:16:25):
So every now into the hunt one makes the call
ten seconds go on the play clock five four, he's
got to get the snap off. I don't think he
notices the guy in the back and they're gonna call five.
Speaker 16 (03:16:42):
No, the way in game one work for it.
Speaker 2 (03:16:48):
So again there's no play clock here at west Fall,
but you have to watch the back judge and when
he starts counting down five, which he did, you got
to make sure you get that snap off. And again,
not being a quarterback that's in there all the time.
Speaker 3 (03:17:04):
May not know how. You got to pay attention.
Speaker 4 (03:17:06):
Yeah, yeah, Now if you're west Fall, I think you
have to try to get a little more creative here.
I don't know that you can just run the ball
straight up the middle and they then count on getting
nine yards.
Speaker 2 (03:17:19):

Back at west Fall High School, where your final score
is the Circleville Tiger forty two to thirty five over
Westfall in overtime. Going through some of the scoring here
as we await coaches interviews, Circleville started to scoring in
the first quarter at seven forty eight. It was cold
Nunsker with a four yard run. Paxton's extra point was good.
(03:21:19):
It was seven nothing. At four fifty to go in
the first quarter, Eli Wright two yard run, Deskins extra
point was good. It was seven to seven. Circleville then
scored in the second quarter with eight to twelve to
go failan a nine yard touchdown run. Paxton's extra point
was good. It was fourteen to seven. West Fall then
(03:21:41):
answered right back with four forty four to go into
second half our second quarter, Eli Right with a two
yard run. Deskins kick made it fourteen to fourteen. Circleville
then scored again with two thirty four to go in
the second quarter. Ray Ozell scored on a twenty nine
yard run Paxton's kick twenty one fourteen, and right before
(03:22:02):
half time, west Fall scored with forty eight point seven
seconds go. It was an everly seven yard run Deskins
point after. It was twenty one to twenty one at
the half. Circleville opened the scoring in the second half
with eight thirty eight to go in the third quarter,
Azelle had an eighty four yard punt return. Paxton's kick
was good. It was twenty eight to twenty one. West
(03:22:23):
Fall answered right back with seven oh eight to go
in the third quarter, ever League, when Everly went on
a eighty five yard touchdown run. Deskins kick made it
twenty eight twenty eight. Circleville then came back with two
fourteen to go in the third quarter. Falan had a
five yard touchdown run. Paxton's extra point was good. It
was thirty eight thirty five twenty eight Circleville. Westfall then
(03:22:45):
scored with nine to twenty to go. Here in the
fourth quarter, Eli Wright had a four yard touchdown Rundskins
kick made it thirty five thirty five. That's where it
stood until four point one seconds to go in the game,
when a mixed fuel gold attempt took us to overtime.
Circleville then scored on their first possession, a six yard
(03:23:07):
run by Falan and that made it forty or Paxton's
extra point was good. That made it forty two to
thirty five, and that's where we ended. And we're gonna
go down to the field right now to coach Andrew Day,
who has Logan's step to talk about tonight's game. So
(03:23:32):
down to you, Andrew.
Speaker 4 (03:23:34):
I'm down here with Westfall coach Logan step coach, not
the result you hope for tonight, but you have to
be so unbelievably proud of this group.
Speaker 55 (03:23:43):
Yeah, man, I just told those guys, I'm kind of speechless.
You know, when you look into when you look into
a group of young men, eyes that gave everything they
had for you as a coach, right, and then you
know we had a guy get hurt, our running backs
out and they still did what they did.
Speaker 5 (03:24:00):
I mean, gosh, it's.
Speaker 2 (03:24:02):
Tough, tough one.
Speaker 3 (03:24:03):
Yeah, tough loss.
Speaker 16 (03:24:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:24:04):
Uh, Eberly Eli Wright combined for about three hundred and
fifty rushing yards.
Speaker 5 (03:24:12):
Obviously they did phenomenal.
Speaker 4 (03:24:13):
Talk about the line that your offensive or talk about
the job your offensive line than.
Speaker 55 (03:24:19):
That, I mean, obviously phenomenal. Right, Like they're in the
second half. I think everybody in the whole state of
Ohio knew were gonna run the football, right, Like there's
nothing we could have done. You know, Quinn Quinn is
a quarterback at heart. I think he played a lot
of quarterback as a kid, and then we moved him
to you know, and then AJ stepped in a quarterback
and he played out of receiver, but the offensive line.
(03:24:39):
And it's not just the talent of those guys, it's
the amount of like.
Speaker 5 (03:24:43):
I love you, I love you as well.
Speaker 55 (03:24:45):
I love you and I love you and then we
all they all just do it.
Speaker 10 (03:24:48):
And it's the you know, it's all.
Speaker 55 (03:24:50):
It's good, it's sweet, it's cool to see, cool to
see absolutely.
Speaker 4 (03:24:53):
Heading into league play next week, I have to feel
like you have to feel like after the the effort
your group gave tonight, missing a couple of really key players,
you've got to feel like you can compete with just
about anybody in the league.
Speaker 2 (03:25:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 55 (03:25:08):
I mean we're we're physical, we're a tough team, and
we play together.
Speaker 26 (03:25:12):
You know.
Speaker 55 (03:25:12):
Obviously, now our game plan changes a little bit without
you know, Aj, and you know, we're all praying for
for him that it's you know, a stinger or something.
Speaker 16 (03:25:21):
You know, But.
Speaker 55 (03:25:23):
You know, Circlevill knew we're gonna run the ball. You know,
I think everybody's gonna have to know we're gonna run
the ball probably, So we just got to continue to
do things right. And you know, one of our guys
came out and said, Coach, they know what we're doing.
I said, the whole state of Ahile, everybody in the
everybody in the stadium knows what we're doing. We just
got to execute. So it'll be an interesting next couple
of weeks. Payton Valley is a big physical team to
(03:25:47):
Southeastern is a big physical team. They got a new
they both have new football coaches, right, so you just
don't know what you're gonna see, really, but we're gonna
play Westfall football. And I think that's what you saw tonight,
a clean version of westaf football, right, and that that showed.
Speaker 4 (03:26:01):
Well coach, just being able to see the way that
you've progressed this program the last four years. It's exciting
to watch, exciting to see what's ahead for Westball football.
And we wish you best of luck the rest of
the way.
Speaker 26 (03:26:13):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:26:17):
All right. So that's Andrew with coach Logan's step as
they go on to next week at two and one
facing the.
Speaker 3 (03:26:26):
Payne Valley Bearcats.
Speaker 2 (03:26:28):
Just quickly going over some stats here for the game
for Westfall, you talk about the rushing Eli Wright had
twenty six carries for one hundred and seventy three yards
on the night and Quinn Eberley ended up with fourteen
carries for one hundred and eighty four yards on the night.
So again, those two gentlemen did a fantastic job. And
(03:26:51):
you can't say enough about Quinn Everley and what he
did and stepping in for the injured AJ pottits and
we hope, and you know, our.
Speaker 3 (03:27:01):
Hope is that he is able to come back here soon.
Speaker 2 (03:27:05):
And it's nothing serious, but again love to see how
they reacted and how they stayed together with.
Speaker 3 (03:27:15):
As a team and keeping.
Speaker 2 (03:27:19):
You know, this game close. So again Westfall loses in
overtime forty two to thirty five. We're going to try
to get coach share it on on to for do
a postgame interview, and we're going to keep it here
and let me go over some stats for Circleville as
(03:27:41):
Andrew is down there attempting.
Speaker 3 (03:27:43):
To get coach share it for Circleville.
Speaker 5 (03:27:48):
Again.
Speaker 2 (03:27:48):
They they lost a player here tonight, a big player
for them.
Speaker 3 (03:27:51):
It does a lot of stuff called nuns.
Speaker 2 (03:27:55):
We did not see him come back out after half time,
so again I hope he is fine. It looked like
like an ankle type injury. Agree, So we hope he's
going to be okay. But their quarterback tonight, Hudson Flan
(03:28:15):
did a fantastic job job of you know, stepping in
and taking over the offense and being the go to
guy as he was able to rush. I believe we
had him for twenty three carries one hundred and fifty
(03:28:37):
six yards, and most of that fourth quarter and overtime
was failing basically just looking and trying to get a
little lane to get up the field and get as
many yards to see it can. So he was the
heart and soul of that team here tonight. But also
(03:29:00):
hats off to the defense for circle vote.
Speaker 3 (03:29:03):
So when they.
Speaker 2 (03:29:04):
Needed to make a stop they were able to make
a stop there in overtime and they were able to
win the game because of that stop and over time.
So we'll take one more quick break here and see
if Andrew can't get Coach Jay Sherritt And you're listening

Fantastic punt return. You know eighty your kicker missed the
field goal. The aided field position for you guys all
night talk about the importance of special teams.
Speaker 2 (03:35:28):
That was his catvis part.
Speaker 58 (03:35:30):
Kayden's one of his best kickoff nights because he reached
the end zone tonight. He got most of his kicks
inside the fifteen, couple inside the ten.
Speaker 5 (03:35:38):
But you know, on the.
Speaker 58 (03:35:39):
Field goal, it just hooked a little bit left. But
then he kicks that extra point would have been good
from fifty yards out, So you know, it's high school football.
I was just telling some people that, you know, you
got to respect for these kids what they've gone through
the whole school day. It's a long day and it
come out and laid on the line like they did tonight.
Their team as well as ours.
Speaker 16 (03:35:58):
You know.
Speaker 58 (03:35:58):
That's that's what's great about how High football, and I'm
fortunate to coach it.
Speaker 4 (03:36:02):
Absolutely. Coach three and no start. We know it's a
long season. There's a long way to go, but your
kids in this community have to be excited about the
start that you guys are are off to so far.
Speaker 58 (03:36:13):
They now there's a little buzz. I'm not gonna lie
about that, you know. And it's helped me because I
was retired for two years and I know uh Low's
up there and he's going to retire soon. Yeah, that's
what's so good about it. But you really get to
start to know these kids. I'm getting to start to
know the student body and some of the other students
and and I try to be around the ability as much
(03:36:34):
as possible. But our kids are doing a great job
putting it out there for him. And now they stayed
this whole game and we won it at the end,
and hopefully if we're in another type ball game, the
students stayed the whole time and that's how you build it.
Speaker 4 (03:36:46):
Absolutely, coach, congratulations, good luck the rest of the way.
Speaker 5 (03:36:51):
All right.
Speaker 2 (03:36:52):
That was coach Jay Sherrett and Andrew Days. So yes
that you know the the buzz that is created around
Circleville is there for a reason. And Coach shared is
a Hall of Fame coach for a reason too. And
I've been blessed to know him as a friend for
a long time and teaching colleague for a long time.
So I'm happy for him and his wife. His wife
