Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is high school basketball on ninety four Country WKKJ,
presented by Accurate Heating, Cooling and Plumbing.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Welcome back to Circleville High School here where we get
set for the final game of the second annual Brad
Morris Pickaway County Holiday Classic between the Circleville Tigers to
come in five and two, three and one in the.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Midst State League Buckeye Division.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
There at coaches heaven Callahan for Westball two and seven
on the year so far, one in four in the
SPC head coach Kyle Joseph.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Looking at Circleville offensively, they.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Come in averaging forty eight point seven offensively and then
defensively giving up forty point three. They've won their first
four games of the season, but in their last three
they've lost two of them. Yesterday was a loss against
Tays Valley forty seven to forty three, fall offensively forty
(01:02):
nine point eight points per game and defensively giving up
fifty seven point one. They're on a six game losing
streak and they're lost. Yesterday was to Logan l fifty
six to thirty three. Yeah, and just talking with some
of the West Fall folks, Joe Ray is not here.
(01:22):
Tonight with West Falls team, So that's gonna make them
a little bit harder offensively. You know, Joe Ray averages
close to twenty points a game, So a team that's
trying to end a losing streak that is reaching out six,
you know that's a big blow to them. But you
know it's the next person mentality. You know, whoever gets
(01:45):
called needs to step up. And you know they they
don't have a lot of seniors.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Ethan Rose is their only other senior, so you know some.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Of the younger guys are going to have to step
up and they're going to get the opportunity here tonight.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
You look at Circleville, it's going to be.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
The guard up front, Cole nunjuster number zero, the senior
to do most of the scoring and really carry this team. Yes,
and you know Brian Craig very capable of scoring at
multiple positions. He's a really good player and he's played
a lot. You know, he had some time as a
(02:26):
freshman last year, he played well as a sophomore, so
you know he he's going to.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Be called upon a step up.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
And Ethan Rose can also score at multiple spots on
the floor, So look for those two to really step
up here.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Tonight Circleville Cold Nunjuster the senior guard.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah, when you look at Circleville, a lot of seniors
on this team, a lot of guys that have played
a lot for them. But colonnngus are very good athlete.
First of all, if you're to see him, that's probably
the first thing you're to say. But he can do
a lot of good things on the basketball floor. He's
their leading scorer for the Circleville Tigers and average and
(03:09):
all right, I said secondly, averaging eleven point two points
a game.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
So he's a special.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Player for them, and he could really get up and
elevate his game as well. The Lady Troville Tigers were
victorious over the Westball Mustangs in game three of four
in our game is the nightcap here at Circleville High School.
(03:36):
Look at the season so far for Servillville. They started
with a win at Bloom Carroll, a win at Logan
Allen and then to Washington Courthouse fifty seven to thirty
one at Minford fifty three forty one, and then it
was their first loss the season. Coming on the thirteenth
was a conference game at Hamilton Township sixty to forty three,
(03:58):
and then they bounced back with a win against Liberty
Union sixty four to thirty nine, and then the loss
last night Pays Valley forty seven thirty four.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
There was a hot start for them.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
They won their first four but then lost to Hamilton
Township was their only conference loss so far.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah, before we get.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Continue with the boys game, let me just go over
real quickly. Circleville player of the game for the girls there,
Brooklyn Kramer, had a really nice game for the Circleville
Lady Tigers. And the player of the game for west
Fall was Adrian Mail. So those were the two player
of the games here for this Holiday Classic, the Brad
Moore's second annual Holiday Classic. But yeah, and I lost
(04:43):
my train to thought as to what you were talking to.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Sorry.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Their first loss the other night was to Hamilton Township,
their only conference loss, and then a loss last night
against Pays Valley. After the good start, they're trying to
get back on their winning ways. So yeah, I mean,
look at their schedule. It's just a brutal schedule. So
you know, any game you can win on that schedule,
that's a quality winning and really, when you talk about
(05:09):
quality losses, losing on the road at Hamilton Township and
on the road to Tady's Valley. Those two quality losses,
and really in both those games, you know they played
well at times. They had a chance to win last
night's game, and that's all you ask.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
For on the road.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
And you know the Circle Bowl team is going to
be battle tested. They are continuing to improve, They're continuing
to find ways as to score. It's been a struggle
at time for them last night with a struggle to
open up the game. But they have size, they have athleticism,
(05:52):
and they're not a team you're going to want to
look at and want to play once you see their
roster and when you see them play in person.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
And that's again.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Another thing that's going to cause people some problems because
you look at the size out there, six five.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Sixty six, six three sixty one.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
They can really put a nice lineup on the floor
out there. We look at West Fall, they started the
season two and one wins at amandex Clear Streak and
against Paint Valley, but then they went on the stretch
for your of six straight losses, losses to Huntington, Megs, Juniyoto,
Piked in Southeastern and Logan Elm last night. Logan Elm'm
(06:33):
a good team that we've seen a couple of.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Times so far.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
So what's it gonna take for West Fall for them
to get back to their winning with well and again,
you look at their schedule, those were good teams they played.
I mean all those games we're talking about this six
game losing streak, not a league game with Megs.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
He's a really good team.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
And you know, the SVC has some nice teams, Southeastern
we've seen them play a couple of times. So again,
this West Fall team is capable. Is it a little
harder tonight? What's out Joe Ray?
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Sure it is. But these kids are here.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
To play basketball, They like to play basketball, and they're
gonna be up to the challenge. This as a cross
county rival for them, So you know, to play at
Circleville is a big thing for Westball. And if you
come in here and beat Circleville, who's got a good team,
that's gonna be extra special for him. Seventeen minutes away
(07:28):
from tip off here in the nightcap of the second
annual Brad Morris Pickley County Holiday Classic, we'll take a
quick break.
Speaker 3 (07:36):

Speaker 2 (09:55):
We're back here to Circleville High School, fourteen minutes away
from game action here at Circleville between the Sirperville Tigers
and the West Fall Mustangs. Across county rivalry continues here
at the Brad Morris Pickway County Holiday Classic. Santa has
(10:17):
made an appearance here in the gymnasium here tonight, a
couple of days early. I guess he has some free
time on his schedule here before he has a busy
twenty four hours coming up here. But yeah, festus batmosphere
here at the Holiday Classic. I think he's just checking in,
(10:38):
making sure everybody's staying on.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Their right list, naughty or nice.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Looking at the SBC standing so far as un Yoda
on the top five and oh all conference games so
far for them, five and oh on the season. Right
behind them is Zane Trace at four to one and
Huntington tied at.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Four and one.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Huntington at UNIODA tonight, Huntington's seven and one on.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
The season so far.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Their only loss was that conference loss to Adena, who's
right behind them in the standings.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
At three and three, four and three on the year.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
It's piked in behind them at three and two four
and four on the year, piked in picking up a
big win over Adena the other night at Adena to
move them up in the standings and in sixth places.
These West Fall Mustangs at one in four in conference
play in two and seven overall.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Yeah, I got a couple updates on some games tonight.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
McLain and Zane Trace tied at thirty eight starting the
fourth quarter, and Adena is leading East Clinton forty to
twenty nine as they are in the third quarter.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
No update there on the UNIODA Huntington game.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Pick for these teams as we get close to Christmas
here to end their first season before they get into.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
The holiday break with a win.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Yeah, and again you know that that's as a coach,
this is sort of basically what it is. You have
your before the holiday scheduling, then you have after the holiday,
and most of that is lead play, and then you
get into a tournament seeding and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
But you always want to end.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
The holidays before the holidays with a win, and that's
what both these teams are trying to do. Come off
a loss last night and get a win here before Christmas.
And you know, for both these teams, I think Circleville
for them to achieve that, they got to get off
to a good start. Too many times this year they
really had a hard time getting started in the game,
(12:52):
getting their offense going, and there's been a few times
that they've you know, barely got out of the forties.
I think one game there stayed stuck in the thirties.
That being said too, you've got to get a lot
of quality offensive possessions. You know, you just can't waste
possessions and have a quick possession or a bad shot
or you know, a turnover that is unforced. You've got
(13:15):
to have quality offensive possessions. And if you're able to
do that, you're going to have a good offensive night.
This Circleville team, we know, can play defense. They can
really get after you and cause you all kinds of
problems defensively, especially with their heights. For Westfall, I think
it comes in here they want to limit Circleville on
their offensive attempt. They're going to be outsized in this game,
(13:38):
and they cannot afford to give a Circleville team who
sometimes really does struggle offensively, give them two and three
attempts each time down and then they're gonna have to
find some scoring somewhere else. You know, when you don't
have a guy who's averaging close to twenty points a
game in your line, if you've got to find scoring
somewhere else, and maybe that's going to be in maybe
(13:59):
some transition buckets or a second chance opportunity that somebody's
going to go and fight low extra hard for those rebounds.
Speaker 11 (14:07):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
That is I believe what Circle Goo is going to
have to do is tonight's game to be successful. As
we mentioned, this is the second annual Brad Morris Pickaway
County Holiday Classic. Coach, I want to give you another
moment to those that have just tuned in to kind
of explain what this event is and how it came about. Yeah,
(14:29):
Brad Morris, I believe you told me that he was
a Logan Elm graduate two thousand and two, I believe
who went on to be a sports writer here in
the county for the Circlevo Herald We've also discussed how
that he started the Sporting Pumpkin, which is a media
outlet to use.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
That uses the Internet.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
But you know, he devoted his life to local sports
and he was at seemed like every contest. Everyone around
the Pickaway County knew him. And he passed away last
year and this is the second annual. So they at
Lake Directors got together and they wanted to do something
(15:11):
to honor him, and that's what they're doing here in
these two days. He wrote about the county local sports.
He was very passionate about that, and that passion you
can still feel or around the county trusting when people
talk about Brad Moore. So again, a two day event
that is uh, you know, just a great thing as
(15:32):
these county rivals can all come together in one place
and and play some really quality basketball games.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
We've seen that here in the almost two days.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
That we have one more game to rack up wrap
up here in day two, but a great event. Next year,
this event will be held at Logan Elm High School
and at Westfall High Year So we hope to you know,
maybe be back next year in doing some games from
this Brad Morris Pickaway County Basketball Holiday Classes. I know
(16:04):
we saw a good one in the boys matchup here.
When we got here it was the tays Valley Vikings
taking on the Logan Elm Braves. When we got here
it was halftime and Logan.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Elm was down a big second half there.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Let me get his name, number two, number two Calton's Biddington.
He hit four straight threes in that third quarter. He
was unconscious and finished with about twenty six on the night,
and Logan Elm came back in the second half to get.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
The victory over the tays Valley Vikings.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah, and again coach Dropsy and his staff did a
great job of keeping them in the game as.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Things weren't going well and really got them back.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
And so a tremendous two days for Logan Elm as
they were able to defeat Tayes Valley today and yesterday.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
They defeated Westfall.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
So they walk away with two wins here in the
Holiday Classic and that really makes your holiday a lot
better when you get two wins leading into this break.
It was a good one for ust Circleville last night.
They had a slow start against Tayese Valley. I think
it was a ten or thirteen point lead for Taes
Valley early in that when they were able to come
(17:26):
back and they ultimately end up losing forty seven to
forty three. Plus Coach Callahan liked what he saw, He
just needed. That slow start really hurt him as he
talked about it, it's hard.
Speaker 5 (17:40):
For them to get some offensive times, it is.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
And another thing they really have struggled with here early
in the season his free throws usual.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
So when you have struggled or troubles scoring at.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Times and then not be able to make that up
by making some free throws, that's really going to make
you struggle. So for them to even be in some
of these games with the that deficit that they have
is a testament to his.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Staff and his players. But you know, coach.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Callahan want some positive things here to start tonight, and
hopefully maybe he does a little mojo or something new
in the locker room right now as both teams are
in there as they're getting their final instructions, and maybe
that'll change here tonight. Basketball action all over the county
(18:30):
in Southeast Ohio. Tonight in the SGC Valley takes on Fairfield,
He's plainting at Adena and then the Huntington Uni Yoga
SBC makeup match, and then Zane Trace was at McLean
No Bee X game tonight over on our sister station,
Chilicoffee lost to that.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Miami Trace team that Coach Callahan was talking about. That's
one of the better.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Teams here in the Southeast District as they went up
earlier in the season and took on a Harvest Prep
team that is known throughout the state and they came
down the stories.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Yeah and yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
When you're playing teams like that at Harvest Prepp and things,
that's a really you're challenging yourself and we've seen.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
That here with the Circle Bull at Tigers early in
this season.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
We'll take one more quick break and we'll be ready
for the start of this one as we've got five
minutes on the cross before the national anthem.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
You're listening the.
Speaker 2 (19:29):

on ninety four.
Speaker 3 (19:33):

Speaker 10 (19:37):
Ever watch the Olympics or Paralympics and think I want
to try that you can with the sport of fencing.
The first thing you notice about fencing isn't the swords.
It's the focus. Every bout is a puzzle. It's like
chess meets cardio. You learn to move, think and react
fast with a satisfying beef when you score a point.
(19:57):
Clubs start new classes all the time, and it's welcoming
and safe. Coaches teach fundamentals and is beginner friendly for kids,
teens and adults. You don't need to buy gear on
day one. Many clubs have loaner equipment. Fencing is social too.
You'll meet people who like a good challenge and a
good laugh. Whether you're eight or sixty eight, and whether
(20:17):
you're curious about foil, a fay or saber, there's a
place for you. Pair of fencing opportunities are growing as well.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Ready to try. Find a club and a beginner.
Speaker 10 (20:27):

I'll repeat it, USA Fencing dot org slash try Fencing.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
See you on the strip.
Speaker 12 (20:38):

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Those are your top TV streams of the week.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
On iHeartRadio, this is High School Basketball on ninety four
Country WKKJ. Today's game is presented by accurate Heating, Cooling,
and Plumbing. Now let's head courtside for today's tip off.
Here's Lou and Chris Postage.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Quarterback to Circleville.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
High School for the nightcap here at the Brad Morris
Pickle County Holiday a Classic.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
We'll look at some starting lineups.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
First for the home team, the Circle bel Tigers number zero,
Coole Nonjuster six to one senior number one, Blaine Fowler
a six four junior number five Jack Klein, a six
to three senior, number twenty three, Riley Jenkins, a six
five sor and number four Ed Kirk, a six six
(22:26):
senior coach. Probably one of the more impressive lineups we've.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Seen so far heighth wise.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Yeah, and you know they they can really elevate too,
as I was watching them warm up, So it'll be
interesting to see. I haven't really physically seen the Circlevil
Tigers play. I've heard a lot about their games, so
it'll be interesting to watch them. And you know, I
was able to see them on the football field, so
some of these guys were out there as well. So
(22:55):
excited to see the Circle bel Tigers here tonight. And
now for the visiting team, the West Fall Mustangs, it's
number zero, Ethan Rose, a senior, number two, Brian Craig,
a junior, number five, Rock Williams, a junior, number twenty three,
Blake Elster a sophomore, and number thirty two Gavin Packer, junior.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
You know he talked about it.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
It's gonna be Brian Craig that needs to step up
as well as some other guys to do some scoring
here for the West Fall Mustangs. Yeah, it'll be interesting
too to see how west Fall tries to defend this
Circleville Tiger team.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
And as I said, they're gonna have to keep them
off the boards.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
But you know, I think maybe a mix up of
defenses just to try to, you know, keep themselves in
the game.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
They don't want they don't want to see.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
The Circle Bil Tiger team explode early in the game
like Circleville wants to. And it'll be an interesting contrast
here tonight. We don't have the sizes listed for the
muss Stangs, but we're looking around six foot for most
of them, so, like you said that that size is
(24:09):
gonna be a factor that they're going to have to
deal with.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Yeah, well, Chris, we're gonna actually get to.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Our game started here about an hour late than what
we're expecting, but you know, we don't have anywhere to
be Tomorrow's, so we're here in high school gymnasium doing
a high school basketball game, and this is what we
love to do. So we're gonna get some announcing here
of the teams. They might even turn off some lights,
(24:40):
you know, and that gets everybody excited when that happens.
Most of these schools and Christmas break and I know
for you it is a a forever Christmas break for
you now as you have officially joined the old Man
Club in retirement.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
How is that going for you? So far? It is
going well. I am enjoying that.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
It seemed like a long time ago when I started
that profession of teaching, and thirty four years later now here,
I am so enjoyed what I did, enjoyed the time
I was at Pickerington. That's the only place I ever taught.
But I am now ready to enjoy my family and
what I want to do on my time. Not fool
(25:24):
relaxation for you right now. I know you're rebuilding a
new house and a lot of work going.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Into that for you.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to the spring to where we
can maybe slow down a little bit.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
But you know, the holidays. You got a family that
we need to go and see and.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
Enjoy and grandkids number four on the way in February
is going to be an exciting time.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Getting ready to.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Announce the starting lineups here in Circleville, Circleville High School
taking on the West. We're in round Town, famous for
the Pumpkins Show. I've still never been. I was able
to go for the first time in the afternoon. I'd
(26:12):
been there before, and it is quite the festivity. Anything
you can think about pumpkins they have here at the
Pumpkins Show. And you know, that's not the only great
thing about Circleville, but it is an event, that's for sure.
Circleville is really growing town too, a lot of industry,
(26:36):
a lot of commercial restaurants, things like that.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
So if you haven't made a trip to Circle Bowl
in a while, you'll be surprised.
Speaker 14 (26:45):
Me.
Speaker 12 (26:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Right in the middle of downtown, they've added a new
roast coffee shop that was famous in the historic downtown
area of Chilli Coffee now made its way up to Circleville,
So if you're in the area and go check them out.
Fanning does an excellent job with that business. I know
we do some business with him over where I work,
(27:06):
and his products are as good as advertised. The lights
have been turned out. There's no spot lights, but I
guess the light just above the bench for the Circleville.
At Tigers, they had some nice warmups, the candy scripe
type warmups, the red and black pants. So little throwback
(27:30):
there to the days of Indiana. So as we are
getting ready here for some basketball, Chris, we're getting ready
to tip this one.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Looking at the uniform matchup.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Red is the common color between these two. Circleville in
their home right, white with red trim, red letters and
numerals with some black trim around those letters and numerals.
Or Westball they're in their road red with white letters
and numerals.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
An easy matchup for us to see.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Here quarkside, the tip is up and tip one by
the Mustangs circle.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
Will is starting out a man a man defense here.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Craig with the ball for the Mustangs, looking to drive,
cut off there, gets it in the corner to.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Rows, Rose up top to Elster. Now on the wing, Williams.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Williams back up top to Rose, back to Craig. Craig
looking to drive, goes baseline cut off their spinning at
the block. Block there down low by the circle bell
swarming defense. I was twenty four ed Kirk Nonjester on
the wing looking to drive Baseline dribbles it all the
(28:45):
way under their hoop and kicks it out to Jenkins,
who drives long three from the wing and knocks it
down Riley Jenkins.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
Nice shot by the big guy.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Good baseline drive there by nongust and find an open
man on the backside. Craig coming off the screen at
the top of the key, hands it over to Ulster.
Now Rose on the wings or thereby. Powler coming off
a Packer screens hits the cutting Packer at the buckets.
Shot no good deflected thereby none. Jester offensive rebound for
(29:18):
Williams is shot no.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Good now none.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Jester up the left side, gets it to the wing,
looks to drive down to the block, uses the body
to get a tough floater up and good.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Well, five quick points there by the Tigers.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
They didn't have five until about two minutes to go
in the first quarter last night, So got to be
ecstatic if your coach Callahan minute and a half into
this one five nothing lead for the Circle Bell Tigers
down low. That's number thirty two. Gavin Packer puts it
in for two. Yeah, that was a good job by Packer.
Missed by Brian Craig, and Packer was able to go
(29:53):
in there and find in the rebound. That's what he's
going to have to help or how he's going to
help this westball team find some opportunity. Fine vines Jenkins
download Nonejester turn around, floating shot, No Good poked out
of bounds there by Jenkins.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
It'll be westfall basketball.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
With six minutes left to go here in the first quarter,
a five to lead for to the Tigers. Brian Craig
across the timeline for the Mustangs, Coach Joseph calling out
the offense comes off a packer screen at the top
of the key, picked up there by Climb. Now in
(30:31):
the corner. That's Rose per three and he ties it
at five. I spine there and Rose was ready to
shoot at Susie Cotta across the timeline is Climb for.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
The Tigers. Now up top to Numister.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
He looks to drive, cut off by Williams, Now stowing
away by Williams. Williams the other way. One man to
beat at the block. He Rose step up and Good
and the Mustangs on top.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
Seven to five.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Yeah, that's a seven to two run by the or
seven over run by the Mustangs to.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Get that lead.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Flying up top for the Tigers, over to Nunjustir on
the wing down all Fowler downloaded Jenkins, Jenkins turnaround, passed
to Kirk and Kirk is.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
Fout in the bucket.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Yeah, Knights moved without the ball by Kirk there to
find an opportunity, said Kirk, the six sixth senior at
the line for one more as we're tied at seven
with five oh one left. Go here in the first period,
pre throw up and no good rebound pulled down by
(31:44):
Jenkins and we're gonna have a tie up there.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Possession arrow stays with the Tigers.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Yeah, good job there, getting keeping the ball alive and
giving them another opportunity for the Circleville Tigers. Baseline out
of bounds to inbound, gets it into Kirk Unduster in
the corner for three. That's good coul Longuster. Yeah, that's
a good shooting to start here. Four of five shooting
(32:13):
for the Circleville Tigers. Craig looking to drive, gets it
down to the bucket and he's fouled down low.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
Send Brian Craig to the line for two. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
Craig usually doesn't have the ball in his hands very much,
but tonight he's happening having to take care of the
basketball for this Westfall Mustang team, something he's not used to.
That was on Younguster his first teams first of the quarter,
ten to seven lead for the Tigers. Craig at the
line first one no good substitution for the Mustangs. Number ten,
(32:45):
Nick Fritz checks in for Packer. One more at the
line for Brian Craig with four forty four left to
go here in the first period, that one's up, bounces around,
no good, rebound pulled down and it goes off the
foot of Fouler and it'll be west fall basketball. Yeah,
(33:08):
that's two now turnovers unforced turnovers really by Circleville and
I talked about quality offensive possessions. They've got to do
a better job of taking care of the basketball. Rose
in bounds. The Fritz now up top to Elster on
Lloayne Craig rejecta stream, goes baseline down to the block,
puts it up, no good and rebound pulled down by
(33:32):
Jenkins Youngustur the other way up to Kline.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Kline at the bucket. No good, but he's going to
be fouled.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yeah, that was a nice ball moving up the floor
there by Cole Nungusker to get that opportunity for.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Jack Klein.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
If I was on Nick Fritz, the junior that just
checked Incline at the line, four to ten to seven,
the Tigers lead with four twenty four left to go.
In the first period, is up and Good makes it
eleven seven. And we had talked about how Circleville has
had a hard time shooting free throws. Jack Klein, it's
(34:09):
fifty four percent from the free throw line. One more
at the line for flying is up and Good makes
it twelve seven.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
The Tigers lead. Craig across the timeline, gets it over
to Fritz.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Now up top to rows down low, looking for cutting Fritz,
he dribbles it to the corner. Now up to the wing,
looking to drive, gets it to the free throw line,
picks up his dribble and hands it over to Williams.
Now Craig comes and takes the hand off at the
top of the key. Coach Joseph calling out the offense.
Now Elster comes up for the screen, rejects it. Now
(34:48):
over to Williams. Williams looking to drive, cut off by Nonguster,
picks up his dribble, gets it up to Fritz. The
defensive poggestion here for the Tigers.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
Now Fritz is left open at the top of the
key and he knocks it. That was I will take
the jinx on that one.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Yeah, and again that was just sort of the guy
went underneath as that s Freed was or Cutter was
cutting through and enabled Fritz just to have an open
look at him.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Twelve ten. The Tigers lead with three twenty five.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Lets it go here in the first quarter off top
is Eric inside looking for Jenkins.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
That path was stolen by Craig.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Well, you got to give the big guys an opportunity
right there. That wasn't the best pass into the post.
Craig hands it to Rose and now crossport to Fritz
Elster on the wing up top Williams. Williams drives it
to the wing, hands it to Craig. Craig guarded there
(35:45):
by Kline. Now plag driving spinning in the lane, gets
it down to the block, fall away shot.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
No good, but he's fouled.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
Yeah, and again Craig has done a good job here
handling the basketball early in the game.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Again some thing he's not used to. But west Fall
only down two here.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
With two forty nine to go here in the first quarter.
They got to be happy with where they are. First one,
that's the line, poor Craig. That is up and good
and makes it twelve eleven. Packer checks back in poor
west Fall. Number three, Bigham and number four. Cassidy check
(36:28):
in for the Tigers. One more at the line, poor
Brian Craig and a chance to tie it up with
two forty nine left to go here in the first period,
and it is up and good and we're all tied
at twelve. Younguster across the timeline. Cass coach Callahan calling
(36:49):
out the offense, comes off a screen nearby. Jenkins backs
it up to the center court low though he's garter thereby.
Rose looks to drive into the lane at the bucket,
puts it up for two straw move there by the senior. Yeah,
he was really taking away his right hand there, so
nunge Sir said that's fine. I'll go left and I'm
gonna drive it.
Speaker 6 (37:08):
Into the lane.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Fourteen to twelve.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Tigers leave Trey at the top of the key, over
to Rose on the wing. Talk to Elster. Now Elster
sets the screen for Craig gets it over the packer
packered to Rose. Rosier Dexta stream goes baseline down at
the block, picks up to the dribble, puts it off
the glass for two s. A nice strong move there
by Ethan Rose. He's got five points here for the
(37:32):
west fall Mustang. We're tied again at fourteen minute fifty
two left to go here in the first period. That's
Big them in the corner, picks up his dribble, gets
it over to Nungus shirt cross court to Cassidy. Now
Kirk Kirk inside the Jenkins. Jason backs it out to
(37:53):
the wing, gets it over to Big. I'm Big, I'm
looking for Kirk. Loose ball tipped by Kirk and he
throws it back to Craig.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
And be a turnover for the Tigers. Now it's number
four for them.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Craig coming off a packer's screen, gets it into the lane,
picks up his dribble and gets it out to rows
minute eighteen left to go in the first period. We're
tied at fourteen. Frit's at the top of the key
off a packer screen. That's going to be an illegal screen,
offensive foul turnover for the Mustangs. Yeah, he never got
set at all. There substitutions for Crockleville. Travis checks in
(38:33):
and Williams checks back in for the Mustang. Somebody didn't
check in there. We're checking the foul call. The foul
was on Packer. That's his first team's third of the
quarter crockle bowl ball with a minute nine left to
(38:54):
play in the first period.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
Big them on the wing looking down for Travis.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
Travis has his pass tipped and controlled by Nunguser at
the top of the key. He's going to pull a
three from the top of the key, no good, long
rebound tipp and controlled by Jenkins, and he finds Cassidy
at the top of the ke forty eight in rolling
here in the first period, we're tied at four inside
the Jenkins down low on the block back low on
(39:23):
offensive foul.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
There is the lower the shoulder.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
I was I think that was more of an act there,
because he he went back really hard and I know
Edza or I'm sorry, that's Riley Jenkins. Riley's a pretty
good sized kid, but I don't think he's going to
knock him over like that first bowl on Jenkins team's
third tray across the timeline with thirty three left to
(39:48):
play in the first period and finds Rose on the wing.
Rose pass was stolen away there by Cassidy. Cassidy now
on the floor, still loose and picked up by Williams
of West Follocks. Now Rose across the timeline with eighteen
Craig on the wing coming off the screen by Rose,
looks to drive, gets it into the lane. Euros step
(40:10):
fall away shot, no good, pull down by Jenkins with
eight up to Nongus there with six all the way
to the bucket, he puts it into the fowl. As
a coach, you gotta love that. And we're gonna have
a technical foul. Believe that's gonna be on west Fall.
So with four point three left to go, a two
(40:31):
point lead for Circleville, and they're gonna go the line
for three free throws. So actually that foul was called
on Rose, and that technical was on Rose. So now
he's got three fouls in the game, so he's gonna
have to come out. So we're gonna get Nunguster to
(40:53):
shoot the free throw from the and one.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
First one I think is up and good for Longuster, So.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
I believe probably leave him there Chris yup. But I
think that's what coach Callahan just said. So two more
at the line, seventeen fourteen, the Tigers lead, and that
one is up and good, makes like eighteen to fourteen,
four point three left to play, and it'll be Circleville's
ball after the technical foul, and.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
Three for three at the line.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
Fornunguster nineteen fourteen with the free with four point three
left to play a sideline out of bounds for Circleville.
Circleville is five of six from the free throw line,
shooting great here tonight couple of finals scores and ain't
trace loses to mcclayton forty six forty two and Adina
loses to East Clinton fifty seven to fifty five and
(41:48):
bound the Nunguster looking to drive steps back on the wing.
That shot was walked there by Craig, and that's how
the first quarter will end. The Circle Belt Tigers completing
West Fall nineteen to fourteen. Listening to the accurate, eating, plulling,
and plumbing game of the night here on ninety four
country WKKJ.
Speaker 5 (42:05):
What's that sound.
Speaker 15 (42:06):
That's the sound of Downy unstoppable sindbads going into your
washing machine and giving your clothes freshness that lasts all
day long.
Speaker 6 (42:14):
There it is again.
Speaker 15 (42:15):
It's like music to your ears, or more like music
to your nose. That freshness is irresistible. Let's get a
Downy unstoppable's bottle shape and now a.
Speaker 3 (42:26):
Sniff so loo.
Speaker 15 (42:29):
Nice well, Downy Unstoppable you just toss wash wow for
all day freshness.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
Welcome back here to Superville High School where those Tigers
leading the Mustangs nineteen to fourteen. We were all tied
with under ten seconds left to play, pulling Longuster makes
his layup, gets found, and then a technical foul all
in the Mustangs. And that's a five point swing after
(43:09):
a tie ball game that gives the Tigers the lead. Yeah,
you talk about five point swings. They got out to
a five to zero run to start the game. Then
Westfall came back with a seven oh run uh to
combat that. Circleville went on a five zero run to
then go up ten to seven, and then you said
(43:30):
to five point play there to end the quarter. So
you know five is the number of Circleville. There were
six of nine shooting UH sixty seven, two of four
from beyond the arc, and five of six from the
free throw line. Now they had six turnovers in that
first quarter.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
You got to clean that up.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
Westfall five of nine shoot fifty six, two of two
from beyond the arc and two of four from the
free throw line. They only had two turnovers in that
first quarter. As falls ball, that starts a second period.
BRIT's looking to drive. His shot was blocked there and
pulled down by Jenkins. Youngester up the right side up
to Jenkins, long creef from the top of the key, knocking.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
Down Riley Jenkins.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
Yeah, I had a nice look at that, nice view
of that shot. And why does he have a nice
follow to them all? Fritz across the timeline over to Craig.
Craig off a Packers screen, steps back now driving into
the lane.
Speaker 5 (44:26):
Boat shot off the glass.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
No good rebound. We're going to tie up on the rebound.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
A couple guys with hands on it and the arrow
is gonna go to the Tigers. Referee just trying to
calm things down here, talking to the players.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
This is the cross County rival heated action all throughout.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
The Brad Morris Classic, so it will be it's trouble
Bill basketball in twenty two to fourteen. They lead now
in the second quarter, Fine across the timeline, dribbles it
to the wing, gets the Kirk, Kirk hands it Tonnguster.
(45:13):
I'm not sure which one of those two are going
to get the foul, but there were two of them
having a illegal screen.
Speaker 3 (45:20):
They're going to give it to Jack Klein be An.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
Offensive foul turnover for the Tigers. That's the first one
on no no oh switch that around. The referee called
an offensive foul, but the foul is going to be
(45:44):
on Williams of west Fall, so it'll be a baseline
out of bounds for the Tigers. Nung gets turd inbound,
gets it into the Kirk. Kirk got the free throw
line backing him down. There, float shot, no good rebound,
pulled down by Williams. Now Fritz up the right side.
Rit's on the wing, gives it to the top of
(46:05):
the key, gets it over to Craig. Craig coming off
a packer screen and he's going to be fouled. Fule
is gonna be on number three Bigham. That is his
first teams first of the quarter. Sideline out of bounds
for west Fall with six forty four left to go
(46:25):
here in the second quarter. Yeah, ever since Bingham's coming
the game and he's guarding Craig and he is right
on him, not giving him much room at all. Ulster
hands it to Williams, that goes out of bounds off Williams.
That'll be another turnover for west Fall.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
Con there come there.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
Longest across the line with six thirty left to go
in the second quarter.
Speaker 3 (46:54):
Gets it over to Bigham.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
Now on top to Kirk and I'm just sure driving
Baseline backs it up to the co owner. Now goes
Baseline up top, Jenkins over to do Kline.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
Now Bigham up.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
Top to Kline inside the Jenkins. He gets dribbled turnaround shot.
Speaker 5 (47:11):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (47:12):
Really nice move there, nice pass inside to Jenkins. Jenkins
now got eight points on the night, perfect shooting three
for three.
Speaker 3 (47:21):
He's got two threes.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
Also, now a ten point lead on a ten point
run by Circleville. It's gonna be a foul on big em.
That's his second team second.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
Of the quarter.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
Yeah, he's done a good job since he's come in
there to guard Craig. But they said he was a
little too handsy on that.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
One sideline out of bounds for west Fall.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Ulster in bounce to Craig. Craig dribbles it to the
top of the key. He's guarded there by Climb now
looking to drive Craig spinning loses it, loose fall on
the floor and we're gonna have another tie up possession Arrow.
Speaker 3 (47:59):
Should go west Fall.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
Yeah, it's good to see kids getting on the floor
getting after it. It's important to them, so it'll be.
Speaker 3 (48:08):
A baseline out of bounds for the Mustangs.
Speaker 2 (48:11):
We're five forty four left to go here in the
second quarter, ten point lead for Circleville.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
Fritz stand bounds.
Speaker 2 (48:24):
Up top to Packer, over to Klant. I'm sorry, that's
up Craig. Craig at the top of the key, guarded
by Plying, hands it over to Fritz. Now Fritz gonna
try three from the top of the key, and that's
no good. Rebound pulled down by Jenkins. Now young Gus
hurt up the right side quickly to the top of
the key, looking to drive, kicks it out to Kwine.
Speaker 3 (48:45):
Cline's gonna try a three from the corner. That good, Yeah,
shooting well and.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
A thirteen over run for of the Tigers and coach
Joseph's gonna want to time out. We'll take a quick break.
This is the accurate beating and pulling and plumbing game
of the night. On ninety four Country WKKJ.

Welcome back to Sirleville High School, where the Tigers lead
the Mustangs twenty seven fourteen with five nineteen left to go.
Here in the first half, all the time outing to
be west Fall basketball Circleville on an eight zero run
to start this quarter. Pray got the top of the
key coming off the screen, gets it into the corner.
(50:32):
That's Fritz Fritz step back fifteen footer, no good rebound,
pulled by by Younguster. He goes up the right side
over to Fowler. Fowler puts it in for two. Yeah,
nice look there by Nunga three pushed it after you
got the rebound and was able to get a bucket
for Fowler. Twenty nine fourteen, the Tigers lead Cray got
(50:57):
the top of the key coming off the screen. He
picked up their by Cline, fits it over to Williams.
Williams at the top of the key looking to drive,
spinning and gets it to Craig. Craig, now looking to
drive down to the block, had it poked away there
by Cline and Fowler picks it up and he's gonna
be foul.
Speaker 3 (51:17):
Nice job there.
Speaker 2 (51:18):
Klein was able to reach around Craig and knock that
ball loose and circle Bill able to get another turnover.
Vowl was on brock Williams. That's his second team second
of the quarter. Four twenty left to go here in
the second quarter and longest here on the wing for
the Tigers. Come off a Kirk screen, tryes a float
(51:39):
shop from fifteen and puts it in. Tell you what,
when you're having a special night, sometimes you can just
throw them up there. Thirty one fourteen, the Tigers league
el Sir dubbles it to the wing, hands it over
to Fritz. Now Williams just picks up his dribble, gets
(52:01):
to Elster in the corner up top the packer. Now
Craig on the lamb. Craig quarter by Kline comes off
the packer's screen, looks the back of himself down to
the block and it's gonna be an offensive foul there
on Brian Craig.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
Yeah, he was trying to do a little bit too
much there.
Speaker 2 (52:19):
You know, when you're on a the other team's on
a twelve over run, you're trying to make something happen
for your team, and there he just tried a little
bit too much. Bid you out there by Jack Klein
and taking that charge. Bell was on Craig his first
team's third of the quarter.
Speaker 3 (52:38):
Thirty one fourteen.
Speaker 6 (52:40):
The Tigers lead.
Speaker 3 (52:41):
With three thirty left to go.
Speaker 2 (52:42):
Here in the second quarter, line up top for of
the Tigers over to Nungus jersey.
Speaker 5 (52:50):
Bag up type cline looks like a.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
Zone defense here from the Mustangs and Clins. Past was
tipped and stolen away by Craig. Now Craig up the side,
hits it to the wing. Now coming off the packs
the screen, dribbles it to the top of the key.
Now Packer sets another screen, he rolls, dumps it down low.
Packer at the bucket for two. Yeah, then Packer makes
(53:15):
it thirty one sixteen, the Tigers lead. Those were the
first two points there for Westball in this quarter. Yeah,
that broke the little drought they had there and they
went over what is that? They went over five minutes
there without scoring. Valor wide open on the block, puts
it in for two. Powers had a nice night here tonight.
He's got four. Who's forty left to go here? In
(53:36):
the second period of thirty three sixteen lead for the Tigers,
Craig just cross the timeline at the top. Pixt rejects
the screen, now drives and the LA lane picks up
the dribble, and he's gonna be fouled.
Speaker 3 (53:51):
I'm gonna call that one on. Jack climbs.
Speaker 2 (53:56):
Three two, his second team's third of the quarter. Rose
checks is back in number twenty four. Ed Kirk checks
in for the Tigers baseline out of bounds. Four of
the Mustangs. Rose to in bends into Craig in the
(54:18):
corner up top to Williams. Williams looking at the go baseline,
spinning shot, no good rebound bull bound by Younguster. Hungerster
quickly the other way. It's in the corner of Jenkins.
Jenkins back to Younguster. He's gonna try three from the wing.
That's no good rebound to Craig. Two O four are
(54:41):
left to go here in the second quarter. Fritz on
the wing, looking to drive in the lane.
Speaker 5 (54:48):
Had that pass.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
Tipton so on away by Younguster, Younguster up to Kirk
now Kirk it now nice job, everybody cold and Underskirt
getting the ball to the guy who you can throw
it down. Al Craig on the wing. We're running an
offensive foul on the Mustangs. It'll be wet, it'll be
(55:12):
strolovel basketball foul is all number twenty three blake el
stir and we're gonna have a time out here by
west Fall with one left to go here in the
second quarter a thirty five to sixteen lead or the Tigers.

Ever watch the Olympics or Paralympics and think I want
to try that?
Speaker 3 (55:41):
You can with the sport of fencing.
Speaker 10 (55:44):
The first thing you notice about fencing isn't the swords,
it's the focus. Every vout is a puzzle. It's like
chess meets cardio. You learn to move, think and react
fast with a satisfying beef when you score a point.
Clubs start new classes all the time, and it's well
welcoming and safe. Coaches teach fundamentals and is beginner friendly
for kids, teens and adults.
Speaker 5 (56:06):
You don't need to.
Speaker 10 (56:06):
Buy gear on day one. Many clubs have loaner equipment.
Fencing is social too. You'll meet people who like a
good challenge and a good laugh. Whether you're eight or
sixty eight, and whether you're curious about foyle, fa or saber,
there's a place for you. Pair of fencing opportunities are
growing as well. Ready to try. Find a club and
a beginner class near you at USA fencing dot org

Quarterback to Circleville High School where the Tigers lead. The
Mustang is thirty five sixteen, Well a minute thirty left
to go here in this second quarter out of the
time out at Circleville Basketball.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
On the wing, he's going to try a three and
knock sit down.
Speaker 2 (57:02):
Oh longus Furlyay call time out to set up a defense,
and then you give up a wide open three and
Westfall coach Joseph's want to take another time out here
with one nineteen to go, Chris, I tell you what
you know.
Speaker 3 (57:20):
Talking with Certain.
Speaker 2 (57:21):
Bowl coach Callahan talking about how they're having the offensive waves,
I think they just need us to show up because
they are shooting the ball outstanding the night fourteen of nineteen,
shooting that's in the seventies. I didn't do the calculator
or anything, but I'm going to tell you that's in
the seventies. And if you shoot in the seventies, you're
(57:41):
gonna win a lot of ball games. This game was
tied fourteen fourteen with ten seconds left to go in
that first period, and Youngsters stole it away, and then
ever since it has been all Tigers. Two points since
that point for the Mustangs. So again, if you're us
Fall here, you got down to about minute ten, you
(58:04):
gotta get a quality offensive possession.
Speaker 3 (58:05):
Here, Rose tries a three from the corner.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
That's no good rebound pulled down by Cassidy the other way. Fowler,
Powler at the block. He's going to be found and
he'll go to the line for two. Tell you what,
Nunguster does a great job of starting that fast break opportunity. Uh,
you know, rebound there. I believe that was number four
that got the rebound. Tyser Cassidy outletted it quickly Tonnguster
(58:31):
and he gets the ball down the floors quickly. And
if you're part of this circle of little Tiger team,
you want to run that floor to get those opportunities.
Speaker 3 (58:40):
First one was no good. Therefore Fowler thirty eight sixteen.
The Tigers believe with a minute three.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
Left to go here in the second period, one more
as the line and that's no good. Rebound tipped, tipped
again and it was thrown out of bounds off the Mustangs.
It will stay a baseline out of bounds for the Tiger.
Number twenty one checked in. I don't remember twenty one
(59:09):
on my roster. Wyatt Burbacher preston two points for the
Tigers there makes it forty to sixteen already. Kirk with
those two points forty eight am rolling Craig at the
top of the key started air by Fowler, troubles get
(59:33):
to the wing, now backs his way into the paint,
gets it down to the block his fall away shot
no good rebound will pulled down by Williams and he
puts it in for two. Good job of state visit
by Brock Williams forty to eighteen. The Tiger lead twenty
one seconds.
Speaker 3 (59:51):
Left to play.
Speaker 2 (59:53):
Cassidy at the top of the key backs it out
to the center court logo now thirteen, now ten over
the Fowler to seven nol Cassidy palor with three.
Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
In the corner and they didn't get a shot on there.
Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
But at the end of the first half it is
the Tigers forty the Westfall Mustangs eighteen.

Welcome back here to Circleville High School for the final
game here at the second annual Brad Morris Pickaway County
Holiday Classic. Because Circleville Tigers are on top of the
West Fall Mustang's forty to eighteen. We'll go over to
coach and look at some stats there from the first half. Yeah,
you look at that first half, that second quarter, Circleville
(01:03:42):
outscored west Fall twenty one to four in the quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
Total.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Circleville just shooting outstanding near tonight, fifteen of twenty for
seventy five percent, five of eight from beyond New York
sixty three percent, and five of eight from the pre
throw line. Did a much better job of taking care
of the basketball and getting quality possessions in that second quarter.
They only had one turnover in that quarter. They have
eight for the or seven for the half. West Fall
(01:04:09):
was seven of seventeen shooting there in the first half,
uh for two of three from beyond the arc and
two of four from the free throw line.
Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
They only have seventeen shots at the bucket.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Really struggling offensively, obviously, to find any type of continuity
or anything to get going.
Speaker 5 (01:04:29):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
They had a seven to one uh seven oh run
early in the game, but since that time, it's really
been a struggle for them to score, only scoring eleven
points since that time. And that's where we sit at
the forty to eighteen score we have here at aptime.
Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
Yeah, if you're coach.
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Callahan, you've got to be happy with that second quarter.
Your team really able to find their offense and it's
sparked by the point guard. Their Colenngust are able to
kind of score adition, Yeah, I had cold, I'm yourster.
With seventeen points there in that first half. He did
a really good job in controlling the offense and getting
his shots in the flow of the offense. Eight points
(01:05:10):
for Riley Jenkins there in the first half as well,
and six for Ed Kirk, five points for Jack Klein,
so a nice balance. So you also look at Blaine Fowler.
He has four for Westfall. They were let and scoring
by Ethan Rose he had five, Brock Williams had four,
and Gavin Packer had for the west Fall Mustangs. About
(01:05:35):
five minutes away from second half action here at Circleville

To eighteen coach so far.
Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
I mean Westball, they found their stride early. They had
it tied at fourteen, but ever since that it's only
been four points. What's it going to take for them
to get it going here in the second half. Well,
they did a really good job. And you know, Keys
I talked about before the game, get off to a
good start and get quality offensive possessions. Well, Chris, they've
(01:08:38):
done those two things and that's why they're up by
twenty two right now at this stage of the game.
Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
They got to continue that.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
They hope, you know, maybe this is something that they've
been building all season.
Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
To get this to happen.
Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
And so I tell you what, the way they played
that first half, they're going to get a lot of
teams a lot of trouble. Yeah. Size wise, I mean,
they're impressive strong guard played by Nongust and inside they've
got some capable scores with their backs to the basket.
But he saw number twenty four, Ed Kirk. He definitely
played above the rim on that one. Yeah, he can
(01:09:12):
really elevate it. And really a lot of these guys
can So when you got a guy like Colton under
your skirt who can get the ball down the floor quickly,
you want to run that forward to get that opportunity,
maybe to get that throwdown and get the crowd really
get excited. Just about a minute until second half action

We'll go back to Circleville High School start the second half.
It'll be Circleville basketball. They lead forty to eighteen. Back
with the starters for both teams for Westfall Rose Craig, Williams,
Elster and Packer for Superville, Youngus Skerline, Fowler.
Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
Jenkins and Kirk Inside.
Speaker 2 (01:11:14):
Jenkins back outside two Nungus two tries up three from
the corner. No good.
Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
Powler pulls down the rebound and puts it up.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
And in for two.
Speaker 3 (01:11:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
Powler's a really nice player. He's only a junior and
he's got some nice size to him. Craig across the
timeline for the Mustangs met thereby flying comes off the screen.
Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
We're gonna get.
Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
Inside picks up his dribble, gets it out to rows
Now stolen away about Filer Fowler the other way. He
loses it like he was trying to throw it down there.
Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
But lost it, gathered it and then laid it in
for two.
Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Yeah, he got a little excited, so did the crab
forty four eighteen Now Kirk the other way off the
steel Euro step in the lane and an offensive foul
As did a good job there getting back for the
Mustangs and stepping in and.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Taking the jars. Yeah, right there.
Speaker 2 (01:12:05):
I think if he gives it up quickly to the
guy who was running with him, Valor, he might get
it back there. But you know, not a great fast
break opportunity and didn't pay.
Speaker 5 (01:12:17):
Off for him.
Speaker 2 (01:12:18):
Creak up top four of the Mustangs, runs off of
Packer's screen, hands it over to Elster, now strown away.
Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
By Fowler Valor on the floor and it could time out.
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Call my evan Callahan. I saved by the coach there,
and I didn't know if the referee was going to
give it to him because he was sliding with the
ball and normally they're gonna.
Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
Call that traveling. But the coach ended up helped the
saving him there.
Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
So just a minute into the third quartery here a
couple of quick muckets for the Tigers makes it forty
four eighteen.
Speaker 3 (01:12:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
Three turnovers here to start this half for the West
Fall Mustangs. That's not something you want to come out
of the locker room after discussing. Defensively, they're staying in
their zone off or zone defense, and right now it's
circle will getting the opportunities here on some fast break
and transition buckets. Out of the time out, it'll be
(01:13:17):
Circleville basketball. It's like we still have some of the
holidjade cheer from the cheerleader's stuff out there on the
floor that the referees we're trying to clean up.
Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
The still see something out there from our angle.
Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
Jenkins up top over the kline inside palor Paler bumps
it two youngus dirt now cross court line open in
the corner for three. That's short rebound tip pulled down
Mike Kirk Now he falls away, puts it in for two. Yeah.
I like how they really stayed after that, Kirk and Fowler.
But I love how they work through the high post there.
(01:13:54):
Craig up top four of the Mustangles. I Dulph Williams
screen now gets into the lane, spinning shot up. No good,
but he's fouled. Yeah, he's really struggled here tonight as
Brian Craig. And again it's one of those deals where
he's got to handle the ball and he's not really
used to doing that, and it's it's a struggle just
(01:14:16):
to get the ball and get them set into offense.
Speaker 5 (01:14:18):
Fowls on cline.
Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
That's his third team second of the quarter, first one
by Craig, No good.
Speaker 3 (01:14:27):
Craig's got two points on the night here. One more
at the line for Craig.
Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
That is up and Good makes it forty six to
nineteen six twenty left to go here in the third quarter,
Ihn get stir across the timeline for the Tigers. Both
Callahan calling out the offense gets it over to climb
zone defense here from the Mustangs, Fowler up top, now tough.
Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
Youngster on the wing.
Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
It's it inside to Kirk out to Jenkins in the
corner for three and he knocks it down. Tell you what,
he's got three of those here tonight, takes it forty
nine nineteen the Tigers lead. Craig coming off a packer's
screen into the lane, has it stolen away there by
Jenkins now flying up the left side, gets it to
(01:15:24):
Fowler in the corner. He's gonna try three. That's long,
but none. Just the's right there to put it in
for two. Maybe that's a pass. Maybe a Fowler want
to claim that that was a pass, but unfortunately it
was a shot. Good job there by Nonguser being in
right time, right place, right time. Fifty one nineteen, the
Tigers lead five nineteen.
Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
Let it go in the third.
Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
Craig gets the top of the key, start it thereby flying,
gets it to Rose. Rose looking to drive, spinning, picks
up his dribble, gets it to Williams.
Speaker 5 (01:15:55):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
Williams picks it up at the free throw line and
gets it out to Craig. Craig at the top of
the key, looking to drive. Euro step in the lane,
gets down the bucket and nice move there by Brian
Craig for two. Nice job of finding an opening, get
to a spot and jump stop get himself on balance.
Fifty one twenty one. The Tigers lead bowler on the wing.
(01:16:20):
Now Jenkins in the corner, thought about a three up
top to climb.
Speaker 5 (01:16:25):
It's Calihan calling out the office.
Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
Younguster driving, picks up the dribble on the block and
that's going to go out of bounds off the Mustangs.
It'll be a baseline out of bounds for the Tigers.
Got hit in the eye there was cold and had
to gather himself and fortunately it stays with the Tigers.
Substitution for the Tigers, I'm a pretty big of them.
Speaker 5 (01:16:49):
Checks back in.
Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
Baseline out of bounds. Young getstur To inbound inbound to
Kirk down low falling at the block.
Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
Shot no good, but he's you's an opportunity to go
line here and add to his eight points on the night.
Speaker 2 (01:17:08):
This bow was on Williams. That's his fourth teams first
ed Kirk at the line. First one up and that's short,
no good. One more at the line for Kirk with four.
Speaker 3 (01:17:32):
Twenty eight left to go here in the third quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
And that one's up and good. One for two at
the line is Kirk. I'll pray across the timeline for
the Mustangs. Started thereby big them. He gets inside and
we're gonna have a ball possession. Arrow stays with the Mustangs.
(01:17:58):
Your baseline out of bout for the Mustangs. Were four
nineteen left to go here in the third quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:18:04):
Rose To inbound gets it up top to Craig.
Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
Craig, look at the drive shot on the block, off
the glass, no good rebound pull down about Filer. Now
Younguster off the left side. There was a nice low
to Kirk puts it in for two. Hope and we're
gonna have a bench warning on the Mustangs as it's
(01:18:30):
fifty four to twenty one. Now, that was a nice
look there by Youngster to get the ball inside to Kirk,
and Kirk did a good job.
Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
He's got eleven.
Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
Now Craig across the timeline and gets it over to Elster,
nol Fritz.
Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
Over the rows, Rose on the wings. Now Craig in
the corner.
Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
Friday thereby begum looks to drive, spinning in the lane
on the block, puts it in for two. Nice left
hand finished there my brain, Yeah, it was a nice
spin move there by Craig. And coach Callahan's calling for
the help side defense. Who really shut down those.
Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
Gaps and now giving those opportunities.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
Calls on Ed Kirk. That's his second team's third of
the quarter. Craig at the line up and good makes
it fifty four to twenty four, the Tigers lead. Travis
checks back and for the Tigers and Packer back in
for the Mustangs. No full court pressure here by west
(01:19:35):
fall and good job of breaking it by circle them.
I guess are on the wing over the Fowler. Now
Travis in the corner, he's gonna put up a three.
That's no good. Rebound tip now I'll saved by the
Mustangs to rose up to Craig on the left side.
Craig looking to drive and end of the lane pump
(01:19:56):
fake shot. No good, but he's foul. I thought they
were gonna call traveling there for a second. But again,
good job by Brian Craig to give himself some opportunities here.
Vowel was on Faller. That's his first team's fourth for
all fouls on Turtle will for the rest of the
(01:20:16):
quarter will result in Mustang free throws. First one no
good by Craig with three twenty one left to go
here in the third quarter, a fifty four to twenty
four lead for the Tigers or more at the line
for Craig. It's up and good. Fifty four to twenty five.
(01:20:41):
Youngis stir with the ball for the Tigers. Troubles up
to the top of the key, Coach Callahan calling out
the offense un just fakes the handle, takes it all
the way to the bucket, but missus rebound by Travis
out to Jenkins al Fowler at the top of the key.
Great job there by Ari Travis, keeping that ball alive
for the Tigers. Take them inside the Travis turns around,

leave for the Tigers. Craig at the top of the
key jets the screen, now looking to drive under the lane,
picks up the dribble and he's going to be tied
up by Travis and jump ball will go to the Tigers.
Really great job there by Travis and helps side not
allowing that gap that coach Callahan wanted to shut down.
(01:21:45):
So good job there by. Substitution for the Tigers. Capacity
checks in for Fowler pos a SNERA two the Tigers
here the two twenty six left to go in the
third quarter of fifty four.
Speaker 3 (01:22:05):
To twenty five leave for the Tigers.
Speaker 2 (01:22:09):

Youngster on the wing. Younguster looks to go baseline all
the way to the block. Float shot up. No good,
We're gonna pulled down by Craig. Now Craig quickly the
other way. Set off there by Jenkins batch it out
(01:22:31):

Speaker 3 (01:22:31):
Now look in the drive, picks it up on the block,
spinning turnaround. Shot.
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
No good, We're gown pulled down by Packer and he
loses it. Youngster controls it the other way. Callahan wants
it to slow down. Cassidy was open on the wing
inside the Travis. Travis down on the block. Ti Hound
shot up and go. He deserved that when he's been
doing a lot of things for a certain little Tigers.

of six, however from three point line, one for two
from the free throw line, outscoring Westfall there sixteen to seven.
Speaker 3 (01:27:07):
In that quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
Westfall was only two of four shooting. They only got
four shot attempts. Now, they did get five free throw attempts,
but they also.
Speaker 3 (01:27:16):
Had six turnovers in that quarter alone.
Speaker 2 (01:27:19):
Rust Fall's basketball to start the fourth quarter, Rose looking

was perfect textbook post play sixteen to twenty five. The
Tigers lead was sixteen left to go six sixteen left
to go here in the fourth quarter, Craig driving it's
to the block shot no good reboundship by Jenkins and

for his shots. Big, I'm looking to drive, baseline cut

Speaker 2 (01:43:26):
Mustangs we're joined now By circleville head Coach Evan.
Speaker 3 (01:43:30):
Callahan well.
Speaker 2 (01:43:31):
Coach one of the THINGS i talked about before the
game WAS i thought for a key for you was number,
one get off to a good. Start number, two have
a lot of quality offensive. Possessions you can check both
of those, boxes because you guys had that in the first.
Speaker 3 (01:43:44):
Half, YEAH i.
Speaker 24 (01:43:45):
Mean, OFFENSIVELY i, mean it's no secret we've struggled on
that into the floor this, year and big part that's
been our shot. Selection you, know we've been really trying
to focus on that over the past couple of, weeks
AND i felt like our shot selection tonight was a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:43:56):
Better we shared the.
Speaker 24 (01:43:56):
Basketball you, know we've really been trying to emphasize, transition
getting out and running the. Floor you know that offensive
rebounds and you, know hopefully at some, point you, know
our free throw shooting will improve a little. Bit SO
i thought our, guys you, know getting out to a
good start was, key and you, KNOW i think that you,
know we got a lot of contributions for multiple. People you,
know our scoring has been pretty balanced this, year so
(01:44:17):
you know that's always. Good you, know we have multiple
guys that we can go. To you, know, Obviously cole
had a great night. Tonight he came out on all
firing on all. Cylinders And Riley, JENKINS i, mean he's
three point shot has been consistent for us this, year
AND i mean he'll shoot it from, deep but a
lot of people think he's firing from half court and you,
know inside The bible. Line but he actually practices that a.
LOT i mean he's in the gym two hours a,
(01:44:37):
night on his own every. Night so he's a, great hardworking.
Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
Kid and we got a lot of.
Speaker 24 (01:44:40):
Contributions from a lot of, people which you know is
great to. See going into a little bit of a break,
HERE i, thought, Offensively, cole he had to twenty one.
Points but he does a great job of getting you
into your offenses and getting the ball where it needed to. Be,
TONIGHT i thought he played a complete game for.
Speaker 1 (01:44:56):
You.
Speaker 3 (01:44:56):
YEAH i mean he's the quarterback of our.
Speaker 24 (01:44:57):
TEAM i mean he gives us some poise and some
calm us there when things get a little bit. HECTIC i,
mean helps get us into the. Offense and he's just
got a high basketball. IQ i mean he usually understands
the situation as well what we want to do, offensively
and plays that changes his. PACE i think a lot for,
us which you know is one thing we talk. About you,
know we want to play. Fast he gets us going
and you know there's nothing there in. Transition he can
get us into an, offense so you, know he he
(01:45:19):
gets us. Going you, know we always tell him, that you,
know that's a tough position as the point. Guard you,
know usually it's kind of like being a quarterback at
times where you do probably take the most criticism at.
Times but he does so many things well for us,
offensively and you know his defense.
Speaker 3 (01:45:33):
