Cooling and Plumbing and brought to you by Home Loans
by Jan Kroger, the Savings Bank, Shine On Chilli Cooffee
and Minards with the Audio Technica pregame show. Here's Andrew
(00:24):
Day and Lou Postage.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Well, good evening football fans. We are here at Unioto
High School tonight as the Shermans will host the Zane
Trace Pioneers and got a little shape shake up in
the booth tonight. Normally Lou Postage is here with myself,
but tonight lou is uh is on a on a
cruise and so joining me tonight in the booth is
(00:49):
his son, Trey Postage. Trey, We've got We've got a
good one tonight. It's a it's a perfect night for football.
We've got the only two perfect teams in SBC League play.
On top of all that, it's a rivalry and and
this this very game has decided the SVC title the
last three years and looks like it's gonna be the
same way again this season. So uh, this is a
(01:10):
game that checks all the boxes that you want in
a high school football game.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yeah, it's nice to be here. I lucked out to
maybe be one of the best games that we're gonna
have all year. So, like you said, this is last
three years, this has decided the SVC title went football.
So games are the the seasons on the line tonight.
And we got two heavy heavyweights Withoda coming in at
six and OW and Zane Trace in at five and one,
(01:34):
both atop the SBC. It's gonna be a good one. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
It should be a physical game. Both of these teams
like to establish the run game. And you know, when
you're when you're talking about a rivalry regame tray, how
do you how do you draw? How do you balance
out you know, all of this emotion and knowing that
we don't like them and they don't like us, but
also kind of tuning out all the outside noise and
(01:57):
just focusing on football.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, that's hard. Like you said, it's a big rivalry game.
It's hard to tune all that stuff out. So when
you're out and playing, you do not want to have
like that in your head going and you're really starting
to tense up, and then you can't play your game.
He does got to go out. What's the whistles blow?
You gotta go and just play football, And that's all
it comes down to.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, well, we're in for a good one tonight. When
we come back. Coach wears of Zane Trace. We will
hear from him. This is the Adena Health System pregame
show on the Accurate Heating, Cooling and Plumbing Game of
the Week on ninety four Country WKKJ.

This is hometown high school football coverage with the audio
technical pregame show on ninety four Country WKKJA.
Speaker 11 (05:43):
Welcome back to the Adina Hill Systems pregame Show. I'm
now talking to Zanetrey's head coach, Dylan Wars Coach. You
now stay in at five and one overall, three and
zero in the SVC, and we last saw you way
back in Week two, a forty nine to thirteen win
over Waiver. The next week, week three, you had your
only loss of the year to Amanda Clear Creek twenty
(06:04):
five to seven. Talk about what you learned about your
team and what your team learned about themselves from that loss.
Speaker 12 (06:12):
Really just take the things that we got to do
better and the things that we got to improve on.
Speaker 13 (06:15):
We knew Amanda was a good team coming.
Speaker 12 (06:17):
In and their record didn't necessarily show they've played two
really really good teams, which looking in later in the season,
we see how good those teams were that they had
started zero to two against.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Just that.
Speaker 12 (06:26):
Obviously, turnovers is huge field position. We don't want to play.
We don't want to start down the game three scores
any anytime you're a team that starts down three scores,
you kind of put yourself in this situation where there's
a little panic in a little hurry. So we definitely
want to avoid slow starts like that like we did
against Amanda. But I mean it's games that we've had
(06:47):
that we've been on the right side of the scoreboard,
games where we've been in a fight.
Speaker 13 (06:50):
Even against Amanda, I think we've learned about.
Speaker 12 (06:52):
Our guys that they're not the scoreboard doesn't reflect how
hard they're going to go.
Speaker 13 (06:56):
They're going to give their best any any time out
on the field.
Speaker 11 (06:59):
Well, coach, offense, your team is averaging thirty points per game,
and the thing that stands out about your offense is
your rushing game. It's averaging two hundred and thirty one
yards a game on the ground, seven point one yards
per rush. Talk about what makes your rushing game so good.
I mean, first and foremost of players.
Speaker 12 (07:18):
We run the ball a lot because we feel really
comfortable about the guys that we have running the ball,
Jaidene Higgins and Bryce Johnson, and then Gunner McCullough is
absolutely capable carrying the ball as well from the quarterback position,
but most importantly at.
Speaker 13 (07:31):
The O line.
Speaker 12 (07:32):
We spend a lot of time with those guys going
over numerous blocking schemes. Not only do they play very physical,
they're also a intelligent group that has been able to
handle the schemes that they've been given and executing what
is after them well.
Speaker 11 (07:46):
Coach, one of the things that maybe goes unnoticed about
your team is defensively, you're only allowing seven point eight
points per game. Your defense has sixteen takeaways, fourteen sacks.
Talk about how important that unit has been your.
Speaker 12 (08:00):
Team, incredibly important. We talk all the time about complimentary football,
and you know, we have an idea about how games
are going to go and the way we think they're
going to go. But at the same time, every unit
needs to be ready, whether it's a defensive base game
offensive base game.
Speaker 13 (08:15):
You know, however, many points may get scored. We're not
necessarily sure.
Speaker 12 (08:18):
So every game we have a high emphasis on allowing
as little points as possible and even putting ourselves in
a scoring position, whether it's the defense scoring themselves or
setting up a easier score for the offense based on
a turner turnover takeaway. You kind of talk about the
offensive side. Our defense has put us in a lot
(08:39):
of good positions regarding the points that we've scored this season.
It's not all offense. So, like I said once, getting
complimentary football, But those guys, they're they're just got some
really nice athletes over there and some guys that are
really good at football.
Speaker 13 (08:51):
We try not to complicate it too much and just
make sure they.
Speaker 12 (08:53):
Know their job and they can play as fast as
they want, as fast as they can where they're not
thinking too much and they can just make plays well.
Speaker 11 (08:59):
Coach, this week, your opponents Unioda Shermans stands six to
oho and three and oh in the conference. This is
a game that many people had circled on their calendars
when the schedule came out. What stands out about the
Shermans and what do you expect from them on Friday night?
Speaker 12 (09:13):
Not one specific thing necessarily stands out because there's not
really a weakness over there. I mean, they do well
on offense, defense, special teams, so you can't you can't
really look at one area.
Speaker 13 (09:23):
You've got to be prepared for all of them.
Speaker 12 (09:25):
I expect them to bring a very good performance to
the table and hopefully we do the same well.
Speaker 11 (09:30):
Coach, we appreciate your time and best luck come Friday night.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
I appreciate it. Thank you.
Speaker 11 (09:35):

Technical pregame show on ninety four Country w KKJA.
Speaker 11 (12:59):
Welcome back to the a Dina Health Systems pregame Show.
I am now going to talk to Unioto head coach
Matt Hoops a lot of people have had this week
circled on their schedule for a long time. As a coach,
is it easier or more difficult to get your kids
focused in a week like this? And how do you
maybe drowned out some of the outside noise or social
(13:20):
media that could come into play.
Speaker 21 (13:22):
Oh, I think it's definitely easier.
Speaker 22 (13:24):
You know, this game is always circling on our calendar,
It's on our countdown clock in our locker room. Our
guys know what this week's all about. Zay and Tracey
is a really good football program. We feel like you're
in and you're out. If we're able to beat them,
then we're going to have a really good chance of
accomplishing our first goal, which is to win the SVC.
In terms of the social media, I don't think that,
(13:45):
I mean not that I'm aware of. I don't think
that our guys really fall into too much of that. Hopefully,
you know, I'm not aware of it because they're not
doing it. But you know, we always know that that's
a component is out there for the kids have to
deal with in this day and age. But I think
our guys do a really good job of keeping the
main thing, the main thing, which is the game and
our preparation throughout the week to get ready for that game.
Speaker 11 (14:06):
Well, coach, offensively, you are a really good running team,
averaging two hundred and seventeen yards per game and nine
point two yards per carrying. It seems like in the
last few weeks you've been trying to get a more
balanced offense, you know, trying to get that passing game.
Speaker 17 (14:21):
Point.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Has that been a big emphasis? Yeah?
Speaker 21 (14:23):
I think, I mean it has.
Speaker 22 (14:25):
We always want to be balanced, you know, I think,
you know, it's kind of funny because last year we
were a little bit opposite in terms of the way
the season started. We use our passing game to until
our run game could catch up and then, you know,
because we didn't have really a lot of experience at
the tailback position last year. Now this year it's a
little bit opposite as we came in with a lot
(14:46):
of experience at the running back position and we're bringing
along a few new receivers. So, you know, I think
that you know, ideally it'd be fifty to fifty, but
you know, I think probably with the strength of this team,
it's probably going to be more of a sixty percent
on forty pass type deal, just because our offensive line
has continued to get better and the guys running the
football for us are so good. So yeah, we always
(15:09):
want to be balanced, but it's probably going to be
a little bit more run heavy than maybe it has
been in the past.
Speaker 11 (15:15):
Well, Coach, a unit we really haven't talked about yet
with your team is your special teams unit. They've been
very good all season long. Talk about how important these
units are to your team.
Speaker 21 (15:25):
Well, I think they're huge.
Speaker 22 (15:26):
I honestly think they set up everything we do, you know,
offensively and defensively. A lot of times when you think
of all three phases of the game, you usually put
special teams last. Well, we kind of tend to put
it first because, let's just face it, if we're kicking
the ball off to start the game, you know we
have a kicker in Liam Mathew and our backup kicker
Tanner Beam that I think have put sixteen balls into
(15:49):
the end zone for touchbacks. So anytime you're going to
start a drive and have to go eighty yards, that's
a that's a tall task for any high school football
team to do because you know the chances of you
finishing that with a touchdown probably aren't very good because
that's such a long way to drive the football. And
then we think our defense is really good. So you know,
the special teams part of it plays a huge role
(16:10):
in us. You're not just kicking the ball off, but
like our pump returners do a really good job or
really aggressive of trying to catch everything in the air
to save us so many yards our offense yards from
when that ball bounces. And I think the only time,
you know, really that our defense has been put in
a bad spot was we were really aggressive on a
punt and we muffed it and set up Huntington for
(16:32):
a short field to score on.
Speaker 21 (16:33):
That's the only points our defense has given up all season.
Speaker 22 (16:36):
But you know that was a situation where we really
weren't upset with our with our pump returner because we
tell them to be aggressive and we know those things
are going to happen if you if you're aggressive every
now and then, but more times than not, it's it's
really beneficial for us.
Speaker 21 (16:48):
So we spend a.
Speaker 22 (16:49):
Lot of time on our special teams. Coach Bill Adkins
does a great job with those guys. We dedicate thirty
minutes of every single practice to it, and it seems
to be paying off on Friday nights.
Speaker 11 (17:00):
Yeah, and one thing we just talked about is we
haven't seen too much of your punter this late in
the season. You guys have only punted the ball twice.
Speaker 22 (17:09):
Yeah, David Long is our punter, but Bryce Darrender also
punts for us, and those guys each have each have
one punt on the season, and we'd like to keep
it that way.
Speaker 11 (17:18):
Coach, when you have a kicker like Liam Matthey, what
is the thought process offensively? You get the ball down
to about the you know, twenty five yard line, maybe
even the thirty yard line, that's an opportunity to put
points on the board.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 22 (17:32):
We really feel comfortable with Liam kicking the ball down
in there, and I think it takes a little bit
of pressure off of your offense because you know, you
get so obviously you want to finish every drive with
a touchdown, but when you get so close down in there,
you know you're probably going to get some points.
Speaker 21 (17:46):
Out of it.
Speaker 22 (17:46):
You know, he's a kid that's kicked for us for
four years and has just gotten better every single year.
He was All Ohio kicker last year, and I assume
it'll be the same again.
Speaker 21 (17:56):
This year.
Speaker 11 (17:56):
Well, coach your opponents this week, the Zane Trace Pioneers
are very good team on paper. What do you see
on the films in What do you expect from them
come Friday night?
Speaker 22 (18:05):
Well, I think Zaye Trace, what they do, they do
really well. They have an offense that fits their personnel.
I think coach Wears has done a good job of
adapting to the guys he has and plays to their strengths.
And big upfront and strong and some really good physical
running backs you know, gunners, a really good quarterback that
orchestrates that whole thing, and they're able to hit some
(18:27):
timely passes out of their offense.
Speaker 21 (18:30):
I don't think they've thrown the ball that much.
Speaker 22 (18:31):
I think they only throw it about five or six
times a game, But it seems like when they do
throw it, they throw at least one or two touchdowns
and game. So if they've thrown the ball six times
and two of them result touchdowns, that's beneficial for them.
But everything's set up with their run game and then defensively,
really physical fly around to the football and get a
lot of hats to the football every time they're tackling someone.
Speaker 11 (18:51):
Well, Coach we appreciate your time here this weekend. Best
luck come Friday night.
Speaker 21 (18:56):
Thank you.
Speaker 11 (18:57):

they really need to avoid slow starts in their Amanda
game where they lost, they just gotten the whole earlier.
They're on two to three scores and they really had
to push the passing game. They really want to push
this running game they're after in two hundred thre one
yards per game at seven point one yards per rush.
Coach Weis gives his credit to the runners behind Bryce
(23:09):
Johnson jayde Higgins received a lot of them today, but
also the O line just be able to get those blocks.
And when it gives down to a close game and
a rivalry game, you want to get a turnover. So
we're gonna see if Xanetration get that turnover to switch
the game in one side do or the other. For
U Nioto. We know about their dominant offense and their
dominant defense. Gonna see a lot of Cody Brayden in
(23:32):
the backfield tonight. But what they got is when you
have a close game, special teams is where the difference
between losing and winning the game, and unionto has got
one of the best kickers around here, Leo Matthew. So
if it is a close game and UDODA pulls it out,
would not be surprised if Leon Matthey is a big
reason to that. And then also got good returners on
(23:53):
the punt and kick return in Jackson zig Fous and
Levy Bean. And then for Unyoda, if Zane Trace is
really trying to push that running game, you got to
find a way to stop that. I know Adena it
was still a blowout game, but at the beginning of
that Adena game, aDNA was able to find those holes
early in between the tackles, but Unioda did a really
great job at stopping that. So we're going to see
(24:14):
if Zane Trace had to exploit that, if you Kneoda
could stop it again like they.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Did last week's Yeah, well we are looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Well, welcome back to Unyoda. We apologize. We're a few
plays into the game. Unioda won the toss, deferred elected
to kick. Zane Trace returned it to about their twenty
six and they have run the ball twice.
Speaker 17 (28:14):
Here it's third down and eight.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
As we head into this next play, Gunner McCullough is
in the shotgun, fakes the handoff, but he drops it
and U Niota recovers the football. Just a little bit
of a mistiming miscommunication there, Trey, Yeah, you said it
right ago.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
He was trying to hand it off to I think
Higgins and he just ran into him and was not
able to complete that handoff. The ball went right to Unyoda.
Great bounce.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Well, if you're Zane Trace, that is not the way
you need to start this game. But now un Yoda
will take over at the Zane Trace twenty seven. Just
to give you some starters here at quarterback for un Yodo,
number three, Isaac Coy. The h back is number ten,
David Long starting running back number twenty, Cody Brayden on
the outside, number twenty four, Jackson Zikafus number twelve, Levi
(29:03):
bem and number nine Jack welch Leeviy Beam goes in motion,
Isaac Cooy hands it off to Cody Brayden, and the
Zane Trace defensive line gets in the backfield and stops
Braiden for a loss of three. The offensive line for
UNIODO number fifty seven, Bryce Jarvis, number fifty six, Glenn Stottridge,
number fifty eight, land In Caruth number sixty two, Dylan
(29:26):
Stanley at number sixty six, Denzel Newlan. On the Zane
Trace defense, it's the front floor, Blake Brower, Lane Reeves,
Evan Minor and Lucas Euler at the linebacker position, Hudson Williams,
Bryce Johnson, Grady Stewart and Peyton Arthur's and in the
defensive backfield number eleven Dunner McCollough, twenty three Jayden Jayden
(29:46):
Higgins and twenty Mason Hartley Uniota. Second down here in thirteen,
Isaac Cooy fakes the handoff, runs up the left side,
and it's back too close.
Speaker 17 (29:55):
To the original line of scrimmage.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Yeah, kind of what we see last team last move
with the UNIODA. They're just doing a lot of motion
with the wide receivers trying to throw this Zane trace
defense off and then you know, running off of that.
Sometimes they will hand that off to him. So just
got to be warri of that that they have that
play in there.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
It is third and eleven. Isaac Cooy will come out
in the shotgun. We've got three wide to the right,
one wide left. Koy takes the snap, drops back, has
plenty of time, and missus Jack welch to the outside
on an out route. So now it will set up
(30:35):
an interesting decision. Fourth down and about eleven for Unioto.
Here we'll see if they try the special teams out
early and see if Matthew's gonna kick. But it looks
like they're gonna keep the offense on the field.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
Yeah, it doesn't look like I don't know. It's pretty
close to Matthews range. Personally, I think I can make it,
but I'm not sure if Guinyoda is ready to test
that this early in the game.
Speaker 17 (30:53):
So fourth and eleven, big big play here.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
Early.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Coy lines up in the shotgun once again. He takes
the snap, drops back, sees some room up the field,
and throws it. And the UNI had a receiver I
can't quite tell it looks like Levi Beam was just
unable to bring that one in and that will be
a turnover on downs for the Shermans. So same Trace
(31:20):
not necessarily hurt by that early fumble.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
Yeah, that's pretty good stop right there. About a defense,
it looked like Isaac Corvis stepping up in the pocket,
he had his receiver open, just float to the ball
over the two bit too much and couldn't make the catch. Okay.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
So on the Zane Trace offense, quarterback Gunner McCollough in
the backfield of Bryce Johnson and Jayden Higgins. At tight
end will be Hudson Williams and Luca Siler and a
receiver Grady Stewart and Mason Hartley.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
We'll get to the offensive line here.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
After this first down play, Gunner mccallaugh under center, takes
hands off to Bryce Johnson, who's able to find a
little bit of a hole on the right side and
picks up about seven on that first down. Run for
the offensive line to Blake Brower, Blake Payne, Connor Smith,
Lane Reeves, and Evan Minor. They will play a big
role in whether Zane Trace is able to come out
(32:10):
with a victory tonight.
Speaker 17 (32:11):
For the Unioda defense.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Jacob Brenner to Kwan James, Bryce Jarvis, and Luke Howard
on the defensive line, Judah Zikafus, David Long, Cody Brayden
at linebacker, and Levi Bean Jackson, Zickafus, jack Wine, Garner
and Micah Strange in the backfield. Another handoff to Uh
to Bryce Johnson up the right side. Gets about a
yard and a half on that, So that will set
(32:33):
up a third and then one for Zane Trace.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
Yeah, I'm gonna be about a game of two. They're
gonna set up a really big play still in your
own territory.
Speaker 17 (32:44):
But third one, let's see how it goes well.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
I think one of the keys for this Zane Trace
team is keep the Union offense off the field. The
best way that you do that is work the clock.
Gunna McCollough under center steps out to get an adjustment
from the sidelines. Back under center hands off to Johnson,
who is gonna get the first down up the middle
(33:08):
for Zane Trace.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Yeah, it looks like you're gonna get that first down
by just about a yard. Again, Unioda is kind of
not making it easy for Zane Trace to run, so
Uh just kind of power on power right now, slowly
moving up the field.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Well, there's no question Unioda's gonna stack the box. The
key the strength of this Zane Trace team is their
ability to run the football. So Unioda's gonna do whatever
they can to stop it. And uh it's good on good. Uh,
So we're gonna see who comes out on top in
that matchup.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah, like you said, Sanine, Trace really want to keep
Unioda's offense on the sideline. That's a win for them.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
And you can see it just in how far they're
taking the play clock down every play. Drect snap to
mccallough there, he's gonna run to the right side and
pick up about a half a yard on that play.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Yeah, really good job by Jacob render there to get
through Zane Trace offensive line end of the backfield. McCalla
didn't have anywhere to go.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
Well, Jacob Runners had a fantastic first half of this season.
He's got six and a half tackles for loss and
four and a half sacks. Here in the early going,
mccaullough will line up in the shotgun here, Higgins will
be to his left.
Speaker 17 (34:19):
He's gonna hand it off to Higgins.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Higgins find some room up the middle and he will
get enough food.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
It's gonna be close.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
I think they're gonna get it to give him the
first down. Yeah, that was. That was right on the line.
But it looks like you got it.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Yeah, it was. It was really good job. Zane Trace
moved and created a little bit more holes for Higgins
or a little bit more of a hole for Higgins
to get through. Got about nine.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Well, if you're Zay Trace, uh, this uh, this drive.
Speaker 17 (34:48):
Is what you want.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
You want long sustained drives where you're keeping the clock moving,
gonna mccallaugh in the shotgun, Higgins to his right, he's
gonna fake the handoff with Kulla to the right side,
and he's going to pick up about three on that carry.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
Yeah, just slowly get these three four yards gains and
that's how you just keep leading that clock and you're
limiting the possessions that.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Is gonna get Bryce Johnson I did notice was out
of the game for a few plays.
Speaker 17 (35:18):
He's back in.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
I don't know if that was just to get him
a breather or if they were attending to some kind
of injury, but he is back in there. So I
expect him to to get some carriers here moving forward,
call it under center, hands at to Johnson on the
right side, and the defense got a lot of the hats,
(35:39):
a lot of hats to the ball there.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, really good job at Union as the line getting
through Zane TRACE's offensive line and just stuffing that didn't
go anywhere.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
These will be the challenging I think down in distances
for Zane Trace. Looks like we've got third and seven.
Not a team that wants to throw the ball all
that much, so third and seven can be tough to Yeah, interesting.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
Because are they gonna go with two runs and not punt,
Thinking like, hey, if we get it to fourth and three,
we're still gonna go for it. We're gonna run. It's
just gonna see if Zane if Uniota can stop our run.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Yeah, McCalla under center, he pitches out to Johnson to
the right. Johnson finds some room and he's gonna be
close to the first down. First down is gonna be
just a little bit short. They are Zan Trace on
the Uniota forty one here. I would assume they're gonna
(36:32):
they're gonna go.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Yeah, it's gonna be fourth and one. They're gonna keep
the offense out there and go for it. Really see
if Unioda tries to cheat this and and really tries
to stop them, Aaron get the wall back.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
I wonder if Zane Trace will maybe try to draw
uniot off side. At the beginning of this play, Clock
McCalla will wind up under center play Clock runs down
the Calla, fakes the handoff, rolls out left, and is
able to get to the outside where he is gonna
pick up a first down for the Pioneers.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
There they go, like you said, they faked that handoff
and then McCalla just came off the outside. It looked
like unionim has had that beat there. But McCullough did
a really good job juking out one of the Unioda
defenders and getting about in there.
Speaker 17 (37:17):
Well, like you said, the defender was there.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
But Gunner McCall is a really good athlete, and he
made an athletic play and was able to get to
the outside and pick up the first down. Four thirteen
left in this first quarter, Zane Trace on the Unioda
thirty four. It's a fresh set of downs. Gunner mccalloll
will line up under center pitch to Higgins to the
(37:41):
right side, and Higgins is gonna fall forward to the
Unioda thirty yard line.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
Yeah. What that play on fourth and one does is
now Unioda can't shoot that handoff knowing that Zane Trace
has that play of where uh McCalla is gonna fake
that handoff and go out on the edge. They cannot.
They have to stay back and they got to be
a little bit true of their positions. Yeah, no question.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
We've got second and six, the clock ticking down here
to three forty five left.
Speaker 17 (38:08):
In the first.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Gonner McCollough under center, He's got Johnson and Higgins in
the backfield. Pitch to Johnson on the right side, first defender,
he's able to stiff arm and get out to another
first down for the Pioneers.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Yeah. Another good job by Johnson taking that pitch and
not letting the first tackler to get him down on
the ground, breaking one tackle and then falling four for
about seven yards.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
And we've got a time out by Uniotis, We're going
to take a break.
Speaker 17 (38:34):
This is the accurate heating, cooling.

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
country WKKJA back here.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
You know, the first down play is a pitch to
the right side of Bryce Johnson. He picks up about
three on that play. H This is exactly how you
would have scripted it on this drive if you're Zane
Trace Tray.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
Yeah. Other than that opening fumble, this is how coach
Weiers wanted to start out for. Zane Trace is taking
up all this time in the first quarter, limiting that
possessions for Nyoda and almost getting it down here at
the red zone.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Second and seven here, McCulla is gonna hand off to
Higgins on the left side. Higgins patiently waits for a
hole to open up, find some space, and he is
gonna pick up about six. It's gonna be third and
one with two point fifty left in the first quarter,
and we are on the unioda fourteen yard line.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
Yeah. Again, Zane TRACE's offensive line gotta give him credit.
They're really opening up some holes for Higgins and uh
and Johnson to be able to run.
Speaker 17 (40:40):
Third and one.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
McCullough will line up under center, Johnson and Higgins in
the backfield takes the snap, pitches to Johnson. Johnson is
gonna get bottled up and will not be able to
pick up that yard. So it's gonna be fourth and uh,
it looks like he lost about a half yards, so
fourth in a long one or a sh to tray.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
Yeah, it's gonna be about a loss of one. There,
really good job of I can't see who number, who's
number that was, but Unioda on the edge just blew
up the left tackle and was able to get in
the backfield and stuff from there for a loss yet
down here. Yeah, Unioda wearing all black uniforms with purple
trip pretty tough, and it's a little tough to see
Zane Trace in white with blue numbers and red helmets.
Speaker 17 (41:22):
Fourth and two.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
McCullough under center, takes the snap, hands off to Higgins.
Higgins's gonna bounce it to the outside, and it looks.
Speaker 17 (41:31):
Like he may have done enough.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Tray.
Speaker 17 (41:33):
It's gonna be close.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
It is close, but I think he got him the
way he fell forward.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Yeah, did a really nice job of absorbing the contact
and still finding a way to move forward.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
And they're gonna give him the first down. Yeah, I
believe it was Jackson Zickafus off the edge. They're hitt
him but Higgins was able to fall forward. It just
barely got that first down.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
So first and ten from the uniot to twelve yard line. Again,
Zane Trace is gonna take their time. Yeah, we were
almost a first quarter. As the play comes in, this
is this has been a very quick quarter. And again
Gunner McCall is gonna line up under center. He's gonna
(42:13):
take the snap handed off to Johnson. Johnson's gonna fight
for some tough yards. Man just kept his legs churning,
got it down to about the seven yard line. That's
a pick up of five where it looked like there
wasn't much space there.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Tray, Yeah, like you said, you gotta give Bryce Johnson
a really really good credit there. He he got hit
right at the line of scrimmage, but he just kept
his legs moving and was able to get four yards
out of it. Four or five.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
That'll bring up second and six from the eight yard line. Yeah,
I don't I don't know if Bryce is injured or
just just tired from all those hands. Say as the
as the play is getting brought in, he's kind of
taking a knee and taking a breather. We've got an
eye formation behind mccallough. There's the handoff to Higgins. He
(42:59):
finds a little bit of space there up the middle.
It's going to get down to about the five and
we are going to be left with third and three,
and I think that's going to do it for the
first quarter. We'll see if Zein Trace tries to run
one more play. We're at fifteen seconds left and it
looks like they will eight three.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
All the players like this. If I counts correct, this
is going to be the fifteenth play of the drive.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
Wow, looks like maybe they were trying to draw them
off sides and uh now they're going to let the
clock run out on the first quarter and we after
one are at zero zero with Zein Trace knocking on
the door of the end zone.
Speaker 17 (43:38):
This is the accurate.
Speaker 2 (43:40):

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country WKKJA.
Speaker 17 (44:51):
Well we're back here at Unyodo.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
As we mentioned, a scoreless first quarter, which if you're
zein Trace Trey, this is exactly how you want this
game to go.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
This is gonna be the sixteenth play of the drive
and it up taking up almost the whole quarter and
they've gone what is this about eighty yards and still
got about five left when the touchdown is exactly what
Zane Trace wanted, having that good start.
Speaker 17 (45:14):
Well they're gonna line up.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Zane Trace is in a big formation here on the
five yard line. As Tray said, it is third and three.
Now they're gonna break down his emotion, Higgins deep in
the backfield. McCall under center, he's gonna take the snap
pitch to Higgins on the outside. He's gets tripped up
and is gonna be stopped for no gain. Really good
job of pursuit there by the Unioda defense.
Speaker 3 (45:37):
Yeah, that's right there right on the edge. Cornerback Mike
get Strange with number eighth from Nyoda. He was there.
He blew up that play in the backfield as they
were trying to run towards the high line. So now
it's gonna be what was at a gain of nothing.
So third and five.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
Again, well fourth and three from the from the five.
So be interesting to see what what Zane Trace goes
with your Oh they got a penalty, Ah, okay, so
we had a hold on that play, and that'll bring
up third and thirteen for Zane Trace. This is the
(46:14):
situation you don't want to find yourself in if you're
Zaying Trace. When you're a running team, getting into these
third and really long situations gonna be tough.
Speaker 3 (46:22):
Yeah, And if you're Union, you gotta be aware of that.
Fake of McCalla going outside, faking that handoff inside and
then rolling out to the outside. They have already done
that on the drive ones and.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
See if Mason Hartley gets a look here on a
pass from McCullough, they're gonna run it. Johnson is again
bottled up. Looks like a loss of may have gotten
back to the line of scrimmage. But it's going to
be fourth and thirteen from the fifteen yard line. Here
brings up an interesting call here for coach Wares. It
(46:52):
looks like they might be bringing the field goal unit on.
Speaker 3 (46:54):
Yeah, it looks like they're going to kick the field goal.
It's going to be about a thirty yard field goal.
Speaker 17 (46:59):
Yeah, about thirty two thirty one yard field goal.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Close games like this, special teams is where you can

Speaker 2 (47:09):
There is no question about it. Preston Lane is on
the kick for the Pioneers. Grady Stewart will hold. Snap
is good, Hold is good. Preston Lane puts it. Oh,
HiT's the hits the upright and it will not be
any points put on the board right now. So ten
twenty six left here in the second quarter. This is

Speaker 17 (48:42):
Well we're back at Uniodo.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
As Unioda starts their drive, the first play was a
handoff to Cody Braden for about seven yards. Here we
have a direct snap to Brayden. He runs up the middle,
sheds several tacklers and picks up a game of about
fifteen yards on that run.
Speaker 3 (48:57):
Yeah, just another loaf for Unioda. They motioned the quarter
of and Cody Braden takes that snap, run straight up
the middle. Offensive line gets even a nice hole game
for about fifteen yards.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
I think one thing to watch here is, you know,
Zane Trace plays so many guys both ways, and to
put all that effort and energy into a drive where
you don't get points that can be demoralizing. We'll see
if that has any effect here on the way they
play defense. Coy in the in the shotgun, he receives
the snap, throws it out to Zickafous on the left side.
(49:29):
Zickafous throws a stiff arm, but Mason Hartley is still
able to bring him down. That's going to be a
pick up of about seven for the Shermans. Yeah, really
good route by Jackson.
Speaker 3 (49:38):
Zickafoos there and he finished the play guiding about another
yard there.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
So good job by Jackson. We are in the second quarter.
The first quarter was brought to us by Home Loans
by Jen. This second quarter is brought to us by
or brought to you by brought to you by Shine
on Chilkoti dot org. Coy gets the snap, throws a
pitch out to Braydon on the left side, and he
runs again for about six yards.
Speaker 17 (50:04):
Nyoto is chewing up some yards here on the ground.
Speaker 3 (50:07):
Yeah, if we thought you knewed his offense was on
the sideline for too long, maybe just you know, resting
too much and was not able to get back to
the groove of this game. They are scampering right down
the field. The first three or four plays, they've moved
about thirty yards.
Speaker 2 (50:21):

Speaker 2 (50:33):
Snap Holy fakes the handoff, throws it out to David
Long on the right side, had him wide open out
there in the flat, and he was able to pick
up about twenty.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
Yards on that pass play tray yees, Zane Trace was
not They were really biting on the run there, but
you knew what it did a good job of play action.
It had David Long their wide open as he was
running the flat rat outs to the sideline, got about
twenty four twenty five yards. It's gonna be close to
the red zone.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
Now for the Shermans, well, it looks like Zane Trace
is gonna take a time out here again.
Speaker 17 (51:05):
I think the thing they're they're gonna battle all night.
Speaker 2 (51:08):
Tonight is is fatigue that they have a lot of
guys that play both ways. They're they're gonna need to
utilize these timeouts strategically to get their guys some breaks.
Speaker 3 (51:19):
Yeah. It probably with the mindset too, is Zane Traces.
They did not like not coming away with points after
that first drive it was sixteen to seventeen players took
out the whole quarter. Uh, it just kind of you know,
did they lost the energy there a little bit? So
now you really got to lock in now, especially we're
in Leo matthewfield goal range now, so you're likely to
(51:40):
give up points, but you really want to just keep
that momentum or gain some more menum into going into
the offense possession for the next time.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
Well, you knew his offense will come back out. They
are on the Zane Trace twenty one yard line. It's
first and ten. It's like guys at Cooy will line
up in the shotgun. Here the official gives the whistle
to go ahead, he's gonna Coy's gonna motion out again,
another direct snap to Cody Braiden. Cody Braiden's gonna go
(52:11):
straight up the middle and pick up about five there.
Speaker 3 (52:14):
Yeah, similar play style to when he just picked up
fifteen a couple of plays ago. They just motioned Isaac
Koy out and he took the snap right up the middle.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
Reds fans, you can check out scores tonight. There aren't
many yet because this first quarter went so fast, but
you can check out scores on WKKJ dot com on
the Mill City Apparel scoreboard. Uh so you can see
what's happening around the area. Some interesting games in the
SEC tonight, and.
Speaker 17 (52:43):
We'll talk about those here.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
After this play, it's like Isaac Koy back in the
in the shotgun. He's gonna hand off to Braiden going
on the right side. Braiden spins out of a tackle,
falls forward and picks up another four or five there.
Looks like he's gonna be just short of the first down. Yeah,
he's gonna be about one yards short there. It's gonna
(53:06):
be third and one for the Sherman's. But Cody Braden
did a great job of finishing that run.
Speaker 3 (53:10):
He got hit about two yards into his run, just
fell forward and finished through the Zame trace defender for
another two. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (53:16):
Absolutely, we've got around the sec. We've got Southeastern at
piked in, we've got a DNA at Westfall, and the
battle for the Maple Leaf Trophy trophy between Huntington and
Paint Valley. Tonight, Trey Coy lined up in the shotgun.
Unioda is gonna send some motion a moother pitch out
to uh Braydon, but we're gonna get a hold there
(53:37):
on on one of the Unioda wide receivers.
Speaker 3 (53:40):
Yeah, he just tried to seal the edge there but
just was not able to corral his AM trace without
Theame trace defender without getting a penalty there.
Speaker 17 (53:49):
So that's gonna move Uniodo back.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
It was third and one heading into that play, and
it looks like it's gonna be third and eleven.
Speaker 17 (53:55):
Now offense number.
Speaker 14 (53:59):
One henyard penalty start.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
Now let's go back. Does you call that a the
maple Leaf Yes, the maple Leaf Trophy.
Speaker 2 (54:14):
The Bearcats and the Huntsmen played for that every year.
It has lived at Payte Valley for a long time.
I think this could be the year that changes that.
But we'll find out. This is why you play the game,
especially against rivals. We've got third and twelve for the Shermans.
Coy in the shotgun drops back, he sees Takner Beam
(54:35):
or Levi Beam open makes the catch up. We got
a fumble, but he's able to recover it.
Speaker 3 (54:41):
He got a penalty flag on the play. I don't
know if it's going to be a push off by Beam,
if it's going to come back or what.
Speaker 2 (54:48):
Yeah, I'm not sure exactly what happened, but we saw
the flag come out early.
Speaker 3 (54:56):
Or maybe an ineligible man down field.
Speaker 17 (54:58):
Yeah, I think that's maybe what they're gonna call.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
It is gonna be on UNIODA based on the initial
reaction of the official.
Speaker 17 (55:11):
And Shermans are walking backwards.
Speaker 3 (55:14):
So regardless of what it is, that's two drives on
a rosane traces drives stalled on a penalty, and now
Uniota's drive it kind of seems like it's gonna stall
again on this penalty with it's gonna be about third
and maybe twenty.
Speaker 2 (55:27):
Yeah, I think they're trying to find out from coach
Whars if he wants to accept it or not.
Speaker 17 (55:31):
I think she will receiver.
Speaker 2 (55:36):
And you were right, Tray, it was an ineligible receiver downfield.
So that's going to back up the Shermans even further.
I wonder if this is a situation where when you
have a good kicker like Uniota does, and it's gonna
be you know, third and twenty one or twenty two.
Actually they're only gonna move back five yards, so h
(55:58):
third and seventeen here. But this is a play where
you don't feel like you have to go get it
all because you still have an opportunity to score if
you don't get the first down, right.
Speaker 3 (56:07):
I wouldn't be surprised if Koy would keep this ball,
try and get about eight to ten yards, and then
Matthew comes out for a field goal.
Speaker 2 (56:12):
Coy's going to drop back, He's going to throw to
Zika Fust and he's got him on the outside for
a touchdown for the Shermans.
Speaker 3 (56:25):
Well, I kick the field goal when you can do that.
That was a really good job by Jackson' zicker Feris
was able to get the Zame Trace quarterback confuse and
all of a sudden he was in the end zone
with no one around him. It's a really good throw
by Isaac Coy for the Sherman touchdown.
Speaker 17 (56:40):
Yeah, twenty eight yard.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
Reception there for Zickafus and Matthew will come out to
kick the extra point.
Speaker 17 (56:56):
And it's good.
Speaker 2 (56:58):
So with that, the Shermans take a seven to zero
lead and we're going to take a break.
Speaker 3 (57:04):
This is the Actorate.

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country w KKJA.
Speaker 2 (58:19):
Well we are back here. Nioto just took the lead.
Now they lead seven to nothing. Leam, Matthew's gonna kick
off here to the Pioneers. Looks like Mason Hartley is
gonna field it about the five yard line. He brings
it up the left side and great play by one
of the Uniodas kickoff coverage.
Speaker 3 (58:37):
Guys. Yeah, that's part weekend. His number, his number thirty
five hosts five. Oh, it's like, uh, I think I
was I think thirty five.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Yeah, that was Henry Blett. Great tackle there to uh
bring down Higgins. So is Zane Trace will start their
drive here with six twenty one here in the second
quarter at the Uniyodo seventeen yard line. Not ideal if
you're Zane Trace. But again, this is the strength of
(59:16):
UNIODA special teams. They're gonna make you drive a long
way down the field to try to score, and at
high school level, that's tough. Lena mccollon lines up under center.
Looks like there was some minute miscommunication there. He went
to hand it off and there was nobody there, so
he just will pick pulled it in and ran forward
and got back to a close to the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 17 (59:37):
Though, Yeah, if you're.
Speaker 3 (59:38):
Zane Trace here, you do not want to go three
and out and give the ball back to Unyoda who
gets the ball at half they won the toss up
for un till second half. Zane Trace, you really want
to run this clock out. If you can't, you got
about six minutes left, but you cannot give the ball
back to the servants in this half.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
Well, one of the guys up here in the booth
with us, Adam Dettweiler. He pointed out that Bryce Johnson's
right ankle is heavily taped, and I don't know that
we've seen him as much as we would normally expect to, uh,
in a game like this. Saint Trace is gonna get
a false start there on second down, and that's gonna
put them at second and fifteen again, putting themselves in
(01:00:17):
a tough position with down a distance.
Speaker 18 (01:00:22):
Set down.
Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
Yeah, we've still seen a good bit of Johnson, but
we've seen more of them trunk plays from Higgins whenever
they're handed off to him. So I don't know if
that ankle is bothering Bryce Johnson a little bit. Uh.
But again, Zane Trace, costly penalty here. If you're if
you're not able to get a first down here and
you know it was gonna get the ball back, it's uh,
you don't want to get up ball back to him.
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
No, absolutely not. Looks like Gunn McCall is gonna line
up in the shotgun. He's got Higgins next to him.
He's got Stewart and Hartley out wide. It's going to
be a snap to McCaulay. He's gonna take off on
the left side and pick up about five yards to
get back to the original love of scrimmage. So we're
gonna end up with third and ten here for the Pioneers.
Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
Yeah, we haven't seen sane tray Stowe yet, so we're
gonna see if if they've got a play like that
and see if they can get the first down here.
Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
Well, fans, ninety four Country is not the only place
to hear tonight's action.
Speaker 17 (01:01:16):
iHeartRadio Sports brings you four games each.

Week across the region of our family of radio stations
here in southern Ohio. For a schedule and links to
listen to the games on the free iHeartRadio app, click
high school sports coverage on WKKJ dot com. Saint Trace
gonna come out in the shotgun.
Speaker 17 (01:01:38):
Call.
Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
It takes the snap, he fakes to Higgins and immediately
has somebody right on him. He tries to flip it out.
I don't he tried to flip it out. The ball
was tipped, and so they're gonna call it an incomplete pass.
Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
I'm not sure that wasn't a lateral Yeah, I don't
know if that was a forward pass or not.
Speaker 17 (01:01:56):
It was very close.
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
It was Closeose that was number fifty seven Bryce Jarvis.
As they were trying to do that play action pass.
He got into the backfield right in the face of government.
Had no time that ball back. He had no time, no.
Speaker 17 (01:02:08):
Time at all.
Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
Well, uh Zaint Trace is gonna punt and Jackson, Zickafuse
and Levi Beehim are back deep.
Speaker 17 (01:02:18):
And it's gonna be a fair catch by his.
Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
Oh he drops it, but he's able to fall on it.
Speaker 7 (01:02:24):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:02:25):
Grady Stewart had run by him because he had called
for the fair catch and and Stuart didn't see the
ball was bouncing and uh Zickafus was able to fall
back on it. So UNIODA is going to start this
drive on their own thirty six yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:02:41):
Yes, Stuart just assumed that Zickafus was going to catch.
That ball ended up going through the hands of Judahs
or Jackson. Zickafouse went behind him about ten yards. A
really good job by have him to get back on
the ball and save possession. Yeah, heads up, play for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Well, U NIODA will come out in the shotgun once again.
It's like Braiden to Coy's left and then there are
three white outs. I'm going to send some some motion here.
(01:03:18):
Did a little jet sweep there to number nine. That's
Jack Welch. Jack was able to pick up about four
yards on that run.
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
Yeah, like you said, just a little jet sweep by
Uniota there to try and get a little bit of
a chunk play and Jack Welsh got to the outside
there and was able to get.
Speaker 17 (01:03:36):
About four.
Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
We Uniota has given Zane Trace a lot of different looks,
a lot of different things to think about here in
the early going. We'll see if they use some of
those things to set something else up later on. Coy
in the shotgun here on second and six, gonna send
beam in motion and he's gonna fake the hand off
to Braiden and Cooy's gonna run to the and get
(01:04:00):
stopped after about a one yard game.
Speaker 17 (01:04:03):
That's gonna bring up third and five for the Shermans.
Speaker 3 (01:04:05):
Yeah, that's interesting what you said, though they might be
setting up a play here. It's gonna be about third
and four, about three minutes and thirty seconds left with
the clock running. If Zay if Unioda tries to catch
Zane Trace napping here.
Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Well, if you were Zaant Trace to your point earlier,
this is a This is kind of gut check time
because you don't want to end up with a fourteen
nothing deficit and give you Uniota the ball coming out
after halftime. Right, Yeah, you gotta be really careful here
because this could be a passing down and this could
also just run for the first down here. They're gonna
send Long in motion. Now Beam will go in motion.
(01:04:43):
It's a handoff to Braden. He's gonna fight for yardage
and get to the forty five. That's gonna leave him
about a yard short. Interesting decision here for coach Hoops.
If you don't pick up this first down here on
fourth one, you're gonna give Zane Trace a short field,
which is advantageous to them because they're not gonna throw
the ball a lot. But you also give yourself a
(01:05:04):
chance to extend, to drive and go get points if
you if you get this fourth and one. So I
think he has confidence in his offensive line. He's gonna
leave the offense on the field here.
Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
Yeah, And they also have a couple of timeouts, so
they could be trying to draw Zane Trace off side,
just get a free first down.
Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
Coolly lined up in the shotgun. You're gonna send braidon
in motion. It looks like that's exactly what they're doing. Oh,
they're gonna run Coley up to the line and then
Matt Hoops is gonna call time out from the sideline.
Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
Yeah, we'reth a try there by coach who's trying to
get that free first down and without having to run
of play, and yeah it's you know, I'd still expect
you and you to go for it here at fourth
and one. The way the run game's going and how
they've been throwing the ball too, So really, got Zane
Trace the lock in here is a big play.
Speaker 17 (01:05:52):
That's a really good play.
Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
Yeah, this this feels like this could turn the tide
one way or the other.
Speaker 17 (01:05:59):
And you're really going.
Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
Just checking out some scores here on the Mill City
Apparel scoreboard on ninety four zero point three WKKJ. Not
too much to report around the area again, because this
first half has gone so quickly here Jackson. The Jackson
Ironmen are up fourteen to nothing. On McLane. Waverley Tigers
(01:06:24):
are up fourteen to nothing. Against Minford. Not seeing a
whole lot of other scores yet across the area that
affect what's going on here from the Maple Trophy nothing
from the Maple Leaf Trophy game. And it looks like
Unida is gonna punt coming out here on fourth down.
Speaker 17 (01:06:47):
Be aware of the faker.
Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
You got Braydon in a position that he could just
take a direct snap, but it looks like Xan Trace
is preparing for that. They snap and it is going
to be a punt that's going to go off to
the right side. It's a really nice bounce and it's
gonna go down to the Zane Trace sixteen yard line
where it will be down and Zane Trace will now
(01:07:10):
take over with one fifty eight left in the second quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:07:15):
Yeah, that's an interesting decision by koe Toops to punt
there on fourth and one, close to midfield. But now,
if you're Zane Trace, do you just run this ball
trying to run the clock out and take it to
half down seven nothing, or you've only thrown the ball
once in the start set.
Speaker 2 (01:07:31):
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if you see some sort
of some sort of screen, some sort of wide receiver.
Speaker 17 (01:07:36):
Screen maybe.
Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
I don't know how much time mc call is gonna
have just dropping back and trying to throw traditionally, so
I think if you're gonna throw the ball, it's got
to be in some sort of creative way. Zame Trace
is gonna start this drive on the sixteen, got a
McCullough under center, A lit'll end a round handoff there
to Hudson Williams, and he's gonna be taken down after
(01:08:01):
about a yard game. That is a play that they
do like to run. They'll start Hudson off from the
tight end position, set him in motion, and then hand
it off as soon as he runs behind gunner mccalluugh.
Speaker 3 (01:08:13):
Yeah, it was a little bit of a different play.
That's William's first carry of the game. Maybe he's at
Trice trying to run the play that Union I hadn't
seen before, hoping he get a tongue play about fifteen
to twenty yards and then maybe get a little interesting.
But I wouldn't be surprised if Zane Tracis runs this
clock out.
Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Yeah, we've got second nine and there Zane Trace is
not in a hurry to get this snap off. About
one twenty one left in the second quarter, a little
pitch to Johnson on.
Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
The left side.
Speaker 2 (01:08:39):
He's gonna take it, and Unioda's gonna bottle him up
and he's gonna get about two yards on that carry,
which is gonna bring up third and seven. And it
looks like Unioda is gonna take their second time out
of the half out.
Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
I believe that's their third timeout. Actually, so is at
Yoda's not gonna have any more time out. So, uh,
you know, you kind of put into a spot for
Zaan and Trace where if you just run this ball,
you're gonna get the uno is gonna get the ball
back with about ten to fifteen seconds left.
Speaker 17 (01:09:06):
Yeah, yep, yeah, so.
Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
You know this is uh, it's been kind of what
we expected. It's been a physical matchup, both teams hitting hard,
both teams trying to moogle on a scrimmage.
Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
Yeah. We were talking about run games for each of
these teams and how you know, some of them have
high powered offenses. But Zane Trace in the years averaging
only seven point eight points per game on defense, and
Uniota's defense is also averaging less than that, actually three
point five points per game. Yeah, that's pretty you know,
defense is showing up in a big way here, And
got to go back to that first drive, that big
(01:09:42):
drive that Zay and Trace had where they came up
in the after sixteen plays eighty yards and the field
goal hit the upright. Yeah, if they would have got
points there, they would be feeling a lot better right now.
But uh, that was just a big momentum swing here
in this game.
Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
Yeah, well, this is everything you want in a high school
football game. The bleachers are uh, the bands have been
very good and we're gonna hear them at halftime. A
lot of cheerleaders on the UNIODA side. Nicole is going
to drop back and pass and it ball gets tipped
by number twenty five Judah Zikafus there. He almost had
(01:10:16):
a pick and now Zane Trace is going to be
forced to punt with a minute five left.
Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
That was a little risky by Zay Trace, especially if
that would have been picked off. But now they're going
to stop the clock with a minute five they're going
to give the ball back to the Shermans. They have
no timeouts, so they're gonna have to throw the ball
a little bit. But we've seen some success when you
throws the ball.
Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what we do here.
We've got Zickafus and beam back deep for the Shermans.
Speaker 3 (01:10:40):
And we've also seen special teams are low line drive punt.
Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
Zickafus catches it and just kind of falls on it
as he does, and Unioda will take over on the
Zane Trace forty seven yard line. So one minute left
here in the first half, and Unioda is going to
try to pick up another score before we go to
the break.
Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
Yeah, I gotta think that's what coach Hoops is maybe
envisioning whenever he punted there, that his defense would get
to stop. And then they get a ball back with
about a minute left. Now they can take some.
Speaker 2 (01:11:09):
Shots, all right, So Unioda's offense will break the huddle here,
Isaac cooy linds up in the shotgun. He's got Cody
Brayden lined up next to him. He's gonna send Braiden
into motions, throw a little screen pass number seven. Grady
(01:11:33):
Stewart stiffed it out and made a great tackle to
bring down Braiden for a two yard loss there.
Speaker 3 (01:11:39):
Yeah, great job at Grady started to get past the
corner and get into the backfield all on that swing
pass and bring him up for a loss.
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
Well, as you mentioned, no timeouts for Uniota, They're still
gonna huddle up and the clock is ticking down. We're
at about thirty five seconds now left in the second quarter.
Speaker 17 (01:11:56):
Koy in the shotgun.
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
They're gonna send Braandon in motion again, a little quick
route for Beam. He's gonna be brought down after a
pickup of about five and the clock's gonna continue to run.
Unioda's gonna try to get off another play here where
clock ticks down to eleven ten nine seconds left. Coyse
(01:12:22):
is kind of confused. I'm not saying they're gonna got playoff.
Coy's gonna send somebody deep here on the right side.
I think he rolls out to his left, feel some pressure,
and he's gonna be taken down on the sideline by
the Pioneers and that will end this first half.
Speaker 17 (01:12:40):
So we are gonna head to halftime. Zane Trace with zero, Youn.
Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
You Gota with seven, and uh, it's been a great
game so far, and we'll look forward to the second half.
But we are gonna head to the halftime show here
in just a moment. This is the accurate heating Cooling

Speaker 33 (01:15:43):
It's halftime here on iHeartRadio. Todd Walker with you for
the halftime huddle. Glad you've joined us to get through
the halftime here and learn some more about high school
football and high school sports in general. Time to check
in with the executive director of the OHSAA, Doug, who
joins us on the program. Doug, thanks for taking some
time for us.
Speaker 39 (01:16:05):
It's always good to talk to you.
Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
Well.
Speaker 33 (01:16:06):
First and foremost, when we talk about high school football here.
In twenty twenty five, we have had a change in
the number of playoff teams, so we went from eight
to sixteen after COVID. That's per region and at the
time there was some consternation from the Football Coaches Association,
most notably and from some critics in the public about
(01:16:28):
sixteen teams was too many, and now we've settled on twelve,
with the top four teams in each region getting a buy.
Take me through, I guess somewhat of a change of
mind from the OHSA and going to twelve. Let's sort
of lay out how that all came about.
Speaker 39 (01:16:45):
Sure, yeah, I mean, you know, before COVID, we had,
before my arrival, we had settled on a twelve team
format going from eight to twelve, and COVID hit right
at that time, so we didn't really get a chance
to institute that. But we did do this sixteen team
sixteen team format and and heard positive things about it
(01:17:07):
from those who who got in, and so you know,
we had stayed with that and really just every year
had conversations with as you mentioned, the Coaches Association and
our membership a little bit, and you know, just settled
on a survey out last year, and you know that
that favored the twelve team to our coaches and and
(01:17:31):
so you know, we look to saying, okay, let's go
back to twelve, but we're going to continue to have
those conversations and we'll see if some of those thirteen
fourteen seed. Teams that don't get in, we'll see how
they feel moving after that.
Speaker 22 (01:17:48):
But you know, I mean, the.
Speaker 3 (01:17:49):
One thing that.
Speaker 39 (01:17:52):
Does kind of stick out for us is that, you know,
we really feel like we're taking some opportunities away from kids,
and we're an association that provide opportunities for kids, and
so you know, Todd will just keep evaluating it. But
this year then, so we made a few other changes.
So the twelve, the first four get a buy uh
and and and then we're instead of two rounds of
(01:18:15):
hosting and a better seed, we're doing three. And that'll
give our teams to get a buy an opportunity to host.
And because we continually hear from our schools about uh,
you know, the money they make from popcorn and parking
and and those kinds of things by hosting those events,
and so that'll that will still give us top four
(01:18:36):
teams a week to uh, you know, provide some opportunities
for their boosters to make money. And and we think that's.
Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
Important as well.
Speaker 33 (01:18:45):
So that means there won't be neutral sites until the
regional final correct.
Speaker 39 (01:18:49):
Yes, yes, yeah, rounds or better seed host and and
uh yeah, and then the regional final will be the
the first week where we take take it on a
neutral site.
Speaker 33 (01:19:02):
So and really in reality, that sort of alleviates you're
having to find more neutral site games. That makes it
a little easier, doesn't it with twelve instead of sixteen,
it does.
Speaker 23 (01:19:14):
It does that.
Speaker 39 (01:19:15):
Although we do not have a we don't have any
trouble finding people want to host the playoff football games.
We do that Thanksgiving weekend, you know, and Tod I'll
tell you from being a superintendent at do Work, that
was a great location and a great site to host
these games once to these you know, Rad was our
basketball coach and once the Thanksgiving weekend hit, you know,
(01:19:36):
it was time to flip the page for Newark and
some schools run into that. But we don't really There
so many turf fields out there anymore, and so many
and schools seeing the benefit of hosting. You know, we
don't really have a shortage of people that are willing
to host these games.
Speaker 33 (01:19:55):
We're talking with the w HSAA executive director Doug Ute again.
This year we are doing all the football playoff games
on Friday through the state semifinals and then Thursday, Friday
Saturday for the finals. Of course, has there been any
real noise to change that or has that worked out
the way you and others thought people like having it
all on Friday?
Speaker 17 (01:20:15):
What about that part of it?
Speaker 39 (01:20:18):
Well, the really todd that that we feel bad about
or for people like you who you know, you and
your crew, uh, you know, at your station and what
you do for high school athletics in Alima area and
surrounding area is totally awesome and it really so we
hear from the press it's really hard, uh for you
(01:20:39):
and and folks like you and your regions to cover
all those games.
Speaker 22 (01:20:43):
Uh.
Speaker 39 (01:20:44):
And so we do have that discussion with members of
the media, and I totally understand that, especially you know,
they're like everybody else, and you know, the media has
changed and their staffs are a little lesson before and
a lot of a lot of areas and and uh,
you know, they find it's hard to cover the games
on Friday night. But again, you know, this is a
(01:21:04):
request of the Coaches Association, which I tend to agree with,
is that they can if everybody plays on Friday night,
they keeps that regular routine going and kind of for
the football people Saturday to a data you know, bring
them in. And you know, I was a former assistant
football coach. You check the kids to make sure they're okay,
watch a little film, run a little thorness out and
(01:21:27):
talk about the next opponent and the way you go.
And then Sunday is that day off for him and
where they can spend a little bit more time at
home with family and things like that, and then Monday.
Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
You get back to work.
Speaker 39 (01:21:37):
If you're playing on Saturday, that completely throws that off
that way, And I think that was you know, they
like to staying that routine and it's about the kids
and if that's best for kids, that's why we supported
the Friday a piece of that.
Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
Doug.
Speaker 33 (01:21:52):
Another thing that developed in the high school football arena
for the OHSAA and the state of Ohio is the
inclusion now of flag football for the girls. The OHSA
will sponsor a championship. It's not a full OHSAA sport
yet because they haven't reached the number of schools threshold,
but it seems like it's gaining momentum and it could
(01:22:12):
get to that point very quickly. Take me through the
idea of flag football as an official sport and how
it's growing here.
Speaker 39 (01:22:20):
Yeah, So it's really a push by the NFL out
through their teams and being in Ohio with the Browns
and Bengals kind of corner in our state there. Obviously,
we've been in discussion with Troy Vincent and his staff
in the NFL offices, along with the Browns and Bengals
staff here to sanction that they like to call it sanctioned.
(01:22:41):
We recognize sports in Ohio, we don't sanction them, but
we will sanction a tournament that's still run by the
Browns and Bengals and throw our support behind to see
where this grows. So it's going to start much like
bulling did twenty years ago. Twenty some years ago, boys volleyball,
girls wrestling. It was a little bit different because they
(01:23:02):
hopped in wrestling was wrestling, but the girls wrestling piece
of it for a couple of years, discussion with them,
and I think the encouraging things for us to get
behind is to see that the twenty teams go to
forty and up to seventy and in the nineties and
trying a sandwich from the Cleveland Cincinnati area to push
in Columbus and Dayton and even a little bit northwest
(01:23:24):
you in the Toledo area where some teams are starting
to grow there that you know, most states. And I
said a conversation with some last week that had had
it for a year or two, and they're finding out
that you know, nearly sixty percent of these young ladies
that play aren't playing another sport, and so you know,
(01:23:46):
that's an opportunity to get more kids involved in sports
or or you look at you know, obviously things we're
concerned as we don't want it to step on any
other sports that we have. And if you look at
where it sits now, you know they're done in May,
and we're trying to say, hey, we can't, we can't.
We got to say away from softball on track that way,
So we might even bump that up a little bit
(01:24:08):
for uh further in the year. But it looks like
it could be a late winter, early spring sport here
in Ohio and and UH and give kids the opportunity
and and you know, we're we're we always say this,
we're we're pushed by our membership and we're a member
driven association and and uh, you know, if you spend
some time with some young ladies that are playing, that
(01:24:28):
really energize about it.
Speaker 33 (01:24:30):
Doug as always We appreciate you taking time to talk.

Game, looks like Unyodo just had the one scoring drive

finished that with the extra point and that gives us.

It's seven to nothing Unyodo.

Trey.
Speaker 17 (01:28:41):
Share some stats with us from that first half.
Speaker 3 (01:28:44):
Yeah, we'll start with the Shermans of You and Yoda.
They were led to rushing by Cody Bryden who had
seven carries for forty three yards, and Isaac Core the
quarterback there we have three carries for six yards. But
really the difference in the first half was the asking
for union of the service. Isaac for was five or
six for sixty three yards and a touchdown. Jackson Zickers
(01:29:07):
had two of those catches for thirty six yards and
that touchdown. And for the pioneers of Zane Trace, they've
really been on the ground game. They have not had
any passing stats. They are letting rushing by Bryce Johnson
who has twelve carries for thirty six yards. Number twenty
three Jaydon Higgins has six carries for twenty seven yards
(01:29:29):
and the quarterback Gunner McCullough has five carries for eighteen yards.
Both teams have two penalties for fifteen yards. That Zane
Trace penalty really cost them there at the end of
the half and led to no points having that misphield work. Okay, well,
we will.

Speaker 17 (01:31:05):
Well we're back at Union of High School.
Speaker 2 (01:31:07):
This is the audio technical at halftime report on the
on your poor Country w KKJ. Uh, Trey, what do
you see there's some keys here in the second half.
Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
Yeah, so I'd say, za Trace, they're really doing a
good job of running the football. We just got to
keep that up. But it's stopping that Union at offense.
They're gonna have one more possession than you getting the
ball here to start the half. So Zay Trace really
needs to get that momentum back by getting a three
and out or even and then they've had some success
(01:31:43):
story on the ball. So we'll see if if Ko
hoops Stiles up some good plays and tries to get
a quick quick strike here to open up the momnium
for the second half.
Speaker 2 (01:31:53):
Yeah, it's been an interesting game. I think this game
has been played the way Zane Trace has wanted it
to go. They just weren't able to capitalize, you know,
on that field goal attempt. And you know, Uniota has
had some spot big plays that have that have kind
of helped them move the ball down the field. But ultimately,
it doesn't matter who how the game is played, It
(01:32:13):
matters what it says on the scoreboard. And right now,
Unioda is up seven to nothing, so I think they
have to feel good that even though they maybe haven't
played the way that they expect to, that they still
have a lead on the scoreboard with an opportunity to
come out and maybe extend that lead here in the
second half.
Speaker 3 (01:32:30):
Yeah, I Thinknoda really likes the position that they're in,
especially getting this ball to start the half. So's a
Trace has got to come out. I mean and go
get the ball back. And like you said, then in
the first half that miss field goal really was that
holding penalty that they cost the Pioneers where they were
down inside the five of the un Yoda and they
just couldn't recover after that.
Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
Yeah, all right, well we are going to take one

Yeah. Yeah, you know, I think Trey, as you mentioned,
I think this first possession is gonna tell us a
lot about how this second half's gonna go.
Speaker 46 (01:34:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:34:56):
If really, if you're Juniota, you want to come out
and sustain a drive and go get points. You know,
it's it's not easy to get points in this game
without how how much both teams, these teams are competing,
So it's it's, uh, it's gonna be tough, but it's
gonna be a good one. Yeah. It is. Is a
rivalry game and still close games where it comes down
(01:35:17):
to a special team's mistake or uh, you know, a
special teams.
Speaker 17 (01:35:20):
Tryum, so we're gonna see how it goes.
Speaker 3 (01:35:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:35:23):
So, uh, you know, it was what I was trying
to talk about earlier in the first half, and then
I got kind of thrown off by a play that
we didn't expect to happen. This is this is high
school football, right, this is everything you want. It's a
beautiful fall evening. The bands are are playing, they're fantastic.
Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
Uh all.
Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
There might be thirty cheerleaders on the union of the
sideline right now. Uh and and they're all working hard,
uh make creating an atmosphere. The stands are are full,
like two teams that are just going after each other.
Speaker 17 (01:35:56):
This is what you love about high school football.
Speaker 3 (01:35:59):
Yeah, it's just great weather too. We don't have to
worry about the cold yet. Maybe next week is gonna
be just a little chillier, but you know, it's just
it's perfect right now. It's so while I got time here,
I just want to give a shout out to some
of the golf programs around the area. So for Division
two girls, Zane Trace and Piked and both of their
teams have qualified for the state tournament. They got first
(01:36:21):
and second in the district. Division two boys, Westfall Boys
will be going to the state. Uh, they won their
district title.
Speaker 22 (01:36:29):
And then for.
Speaker 3 (01:36:30):
Division III, Huntington's own Tucker Taylor, he was an individual,
so he will be playing state. And all the teams,
all those teams and individuals will be playing next week
and the state tournament. So congratulations and good luck in
the tournament.
Speaker 2 (01:36:44):
All right, Well, the Pioneers are gonna kick off here
for the start of the second half. Preston Lane will
be kicking off. And it looks like Beam and.
Speaker 17 (01:36:55):
I don't think that is a confoosh, isn't it?
Speaker 3 (01:36:57):
Uh yeah, yeah, it is just hard to see with
the numbers on this side.
Speaker 2 (01:37:02):
A little uh, little pooch kick there by by Lane
and oh he fumbled and it looks like Zane Trace
may have fallen.
Speaker 3 (01:37:09):
On that Yes, it looks like it. Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
So Unioda field the short kick and someone from Zane
Trace just swiped across the arm there, jarred the ball
loose and Zane Trace is gonna start on the Unioda
forty five yard line here to start this second half.
Speaker 3 (01:37:31):
You couldn't ask for anything better from Zane Trace is
getting the ball back and taking a possession away from Unioda.
Speaker 17 (01:37:36):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
Well let's see if that gives this Zane Trace offense
some life.
Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
Yeah, and you're at the forty five yard line of
Unioda already starting to drive, so you don't have to
feel like you need to push the ball or anything.
Just kind of get back to that drive that you
had the first half. Is just focus on round of
the ball. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:37:54):
Lennan McCall under center, hands off to Johnson to the
left side john and finds a little bit of space.
He's gonna continue running over guys and pick up thirteen
yards on that carry.
Speaker 3 (01:38:07):
Yeah, great job offensive line there for Zane Trace got
the initial hole for Johnson, but then he finished that
run that was about five or six yards. He just
carried those defenders per game about without fourteen yards and
he has that ability for sure. He's a fantastic running back.
Kulla will line up under center once again, Johnson and
(01:38:29):
higging in the back the back field. Johnson's gonna get
the handoff and Unioda does a great.
Speaker 17 (01:38:35):
Job of swarming to the ball. Nowhere to go there
for the Pioneers.
Speaker 3 (01:38:39):
Yeah, like you said, Unioda did a really good job
of just getting right through the offensive line there for
Zane Tray, so Johnson had nowhere to go.
Speaker 2 (01:38:47):
So we will have second and ten from the Uniota
thirty two yard line. Again, we see that Zane Trace
not super motivated to get these snaps off early. They're
going to try to take as much time as they
can off of the clock. They're gonna line up here,
McCalla under center once again. Once again, Johnson and Higgins
(01:39:10):
lined up in the backfield. Williams goes in motion and
it's gonna be a handoff to Johnson to the right
side this time, and he forces his way for a
pickup of about eight.
Speaker 17 (01:39:23):
Up the middle.
Speaker 3 (01:39:25):
Johnson made a couple guys miss on that run, and
now it's gonna be third and short after a second long,
So good job by Johnson. And again from the first half.
Remember McCollough had that play where he faked at the
Johnson or Higgins and foot legged out the other side
and was able to run for about fifteen yards. So
as we get down closer to the Unioda red zone,
we'll see if that's another play they run. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
Third In short, as Trey mentioned, McCulla steps up, looks
over the defense, Williams goes in motion. I'll call of
pitches to Johnson on the left side, and it does
not look like he got there.
Speaker 3 (01:40:06):
Unioda did a good job of meeting.
Speaker 2 (01:40:08):
Him early and getting hats to the ball and not
letting him fall forward, which is what he's really good at.
Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
Yeah, he's gonna get a game up about one. So
it's gonna be fourth and one for Zane Trace. And
Johnson really did want to go down there. It took
about five or six and Yoda Saerman's to bring him down.
Speaker 17 (01:40:25):
This feels like a crucial spot here for Zane Trace.
Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
You don't want to have un Yoda give you the
advantage that it did to start this half and not
capitalize on it.
Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
Yeah, you're gonna lose all the momentum if you cannot
convert this fourth and one.
Speaker 2 (01:40:38):
All right, fourth and one nine to twenty six left
in the third quarter.
Speaker 17 (01:40:43):
Call A.
Speaker 2 (01:40:45):
Takes the snap and then we've got a time out beforehand,
and Zane Trace has called a timeout, so we're going to.
Speaker 17 (01:40:54):
Take a break here.

This is hometown high school football coverage. I'm ninety country
w KKJ. Well, we're back with nine to twenty left
in the third quarter. The This third quarter is brought
to you by Chilicothee Truck and Apparel. It's fourth and one.
Zane Trace looking to capitalize on a union of fumble.
Gunner McCullough under center, hands off to I couldn't tell
(01:42:20):
who that was Trey Was it Bryce Johnson? I think
it was Bryce Johnson.
Speaker 2 (01:42:24):
He went up the middle and it's gonna be closed.
This is probably a measurement type situation.
Speaker 3 (01:42:30):
Well, I yeah, it's gonna be close. If it's.
Speaker 2 (01:42:36):
It looked like the initial spot by the side judge
would have been a first down, but then he kind
of moved back towards the offensive side as he ran in.
But yeah, they're gonna we're gonna have a measurement here.
Speaker 3 (01:42:50):
Yeah. I think Johnson leaned forward with the ball, but
the ball was back in his stand so he didn't
get all the way past the line. Scrimmage, so are
not the game, so it's gonna be close.
Speaker 2 (01:43:02):
Well, as we wait for this following tonight's game, It's
Friday Night Live joined host Tim Skaggs for a look
at all the scores from across the region and interviews
with coaches. Listen after the game until midnight for Friday
Night Live, presented by Accurate Heating, Pooling, and Plumbing.
Speaker 17 (01:43:17):
Here on ninety four.
Speaker 2 (01:43:18):
Country WKKJ and on Buckeye Country one oh five point five.
Speaker 17 (01:43:22):
They did not pick it up.
Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
It looks like he was about about eight to ten
inches short.
Speaker 3 (01:43:28):
Yeah, that was and really close.
Speaker 2 (01:43:31):
So it's gonna be Uniota ball on the twenty their
own twenty three yard line as they look to extend
a seven to zhering league.
Speaker 3 (01:43:41):
Well, now, if you're a gun Yoda, you just you
got all the momentum back after that early missed you.
So look for them to maybe even take a shot
or something just to get the crowd back into this game.
Speaker 2 (01:43:55):
All right, So Isaac Cooy will once again come out
in the shotgun, Coddy Braiden to his right. Coy takes
the snap he's going to handle Braiden onto the right side,
and Zane Trace the left side of that defensive line
was all over it.
Speaker 3 (01:44:16):
Yeah, it looks like it's gonna be Blake Brower for
Zane trace Uber seventy seven there on the defensive line
did a really good job of getting past his block
and getting to the running back there for a loss
of about one.
Speaker 2 (01:44:33):
Be interesting to see if Unietta does some some creative
things here. Like we said, they've they've shown enough looks
that they have the ability now to show some looks
off of those looks. So let's see what they do.
Cooy in the shotgun, he's going to pitch it out
to Braiden. Braiden's did he.
Speaker 17 (01:44:50):
Lose his shoe? I think he lost his shoe in
the backfield.
Speaker 2 (01:44:56):
And still picked up about nine and a half yards,
So we're going to have a third and short situation.
Speaker 3 (01:45:04):
Yeah, I can't tell which wide receiver Number five had
that block for Unyoda that was really good. Blocked the
ceiling the edge. Oh, they're going to get them the
first down. I was just a line guardener for Unioda
with a nice block.
Speaker 17 (01:45:18):
So Unyoda will look to extend this drive here.
Speaker 2 (01:45:28):
Coy in the shotgun, Cody Braiden just behind him, Beam
goes in motion, hands off to Braiden up the middle,
and once again that defensive front Brazilan Trace is holding
its own and Braiden picks up about a yard and
a half on that play.
Speaker 3 (01:45:43):
Yeahs two times here Zane Trace in the half where
they've been able to stop Unioda on the run up
the middle. It's kind of see if Uniyoda really tries
to get those edges tackles.
Speaker 2 (01:45:54):
Well, they've shown Beam going in motion multiple times. It's
it stands to figure that they're gonna utilize that here
at some point. Koy back in the shotgun going to
send long in motion Coy quick pass to Zickafus on
the outside and number eleven for zine Trace. That is
(01:46:15):
Gunner McCullough made a nice tackle to keep Zikafus from
getting much more than the seven that he initially got.
Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
Yeah, like you said, looked like Jackson Zickerfer's almost got
out of that tackle, but really good job by McCalla
to keep him there and bring up a third down
for the Shermans.
Speaker 2 (01:46:32):
Seven minutes left here in this third quarter. Kind of
a little bit surprising to me, Trey that Uniota is
taking as much time in between plays as they are.
Speaker 17 (01:46:44):
Yeah, I mean with the.
Speaker 3 (01:46:46):
Momentum back, I would think they would try and go
a little bit fast. But we'll see.
Speaker 2 (01:46:49):
Coy takes the handoffs season long out in the flat.
He's got room to run. He's gonna take it up
to the zine Trace forty seven yard line and that's
gonna be a pickup of a about fifteen on that play.
Speaker 36 (01:47:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:47:01):
I think that's the same play that they ran in
the first half where they also got They actually got
twenty four yards. Yeah, it's a long so it's a
really good job. He just comes off from the tight
end position, runs that flat to the sideline and really
good throw.
Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
By Coy Higgins for Zane Trace came up a little
bit gimpy after that that last tackle.
Speaker 17 (01:47:21):
Hopefully he's okay. It looks like, uh he's struggling a
little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:47:24):
Back there in the freezing long and the Higgins there.
Coy takes the snap, drops back, finds Beam on a
short route. He finds some space in the middle to
run and he is going to pick up Oh man,
he's not going down. He refuses to go down, and
he is going to pick up about fifteen yards on
that pass play.
Speaker 3 (01:47:45):
Yeah, he just refused to go down and got a
few more yards to finish that run. And kind of
how you brought up I don't know if it was
in the pre game or not, just us talking about Saine.
Trace has a lot of players I played both ways,
so maybe he's a Race is getting a little bit
tired here with having to play offense and defense and
kind of see that speed for Unioda. Yeah, you're really
starting to show up now it is.
Speaker 2 (01:48:07):
And Unioda has gone to the passing game here a
little bit more here to start the second half, and
they found it to be effective so far in this drive,
Long's going to go in motion. Now Beam goes in
motion the other way, I'm going to hand it off
to Braiden. Braiden's gonna find his way up the middle
for about five yards there.
Speaker 39 (01:48:32):
Notably, whatever hit the millions.
Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
Zane Trace is not a team that's built to come
back from a big deficit. So again, this is another
time in the game where it feels like you really
have to get a stop. If you're Sane Trace, you
don't want to let this thing get out to two
three score.
Speaker 3 (01:48:52):
Lead for Unioda stop or another takeaway. Yeah, just so
they play like that, it's going to make the big
difference in this game.
Speaker 17 (01:49:00):
Beam, he goes in motion, they're going to run the option.
Speaker 2 (01:49:03):
Cooy is gonna fake the flip and he's gonna make
his way forward for about another eight yard game for
un Yoda.
Speaker 3 (01:49:12):
Yeah, it looks like Coy was kind of stuck in
the middle there where he faked it out on that pitch. Yeah,
but he kept it ran right down the middle. It
was a really good job, but.
Speaker 17 (01:49:19):
Really really good read there by Isaac Koy.
Speaker 3 (01:49:21):
An athletic play. And now Yun Yoda is in uh
in Matthew field goal range. Yeah, they sure are. You know,
if you're Unioda, you really don't want to be too
aggressive here because this is gonna even what a field
goal is, gonna be a two possession game, right, but
you know you obviously want a touchdown to in this drive,
but you don't want to get super aggressive when you
(01:49:43):
turn over the ball.
Speaker 2 (01:49:44):
Snap hand to Beam as he goes in motion behind
Isaac Cooy, and he's gonna pick up about three on
that carry. Four to twenty left here in the third quarter,
clock continues to run.
Speaker 3 (01:50:03):
There's that creativity that Unyoda has with their offense where
they're getting their wide receivers involved in the running game.
Just a couple of fakes there and then being comes
off the edge, gets a couple of.
Speaker 17 (01:50:11):
Yards and Yoda breaks the huddle. Isaac Koy.
Speaker 2 (01:50:26):
In the shotgun, Cody Brayden to his right, Trouss back
to pass. It's gonna be a catch by Jack Welch.
Mason Partley wraps him up pretty quickly after he catches.
It looks like a game him about four yards there.
Speaker 3 (01:50:42):
Yeah, Now it's going to be a really big down
here for Zane Trace or for gun Yoda. Zane Trace,
can you get him off the field and maybe force
a field goal attempt instead of you know, allowed to
take more time off the clock and getting him the
end zone.
Speaker 17 (01:50:55):
Yeah, big third down play here, third and we'll call
it three.
Speaker 3 (01:51:00):
Brings out third two.
Speaker 17 (01:51:08):
The Yoto is.
Speaker 2 (01:51:09):
Gonna come out in the shotgun again. You got two
out wide right, you got one wide left. Zickafus is
gonna go in motion. They're gonna flip it to him,
and a great play by Grady Stewart to get to
Jackson Zikafouse and allow his teammates to come wrap him up.
That's gonna be about a two yard loss on that play.
(01:51:32):
You'll got fourth and five. It would be an interesting
decision here.
Speaker 3 (01:51:35):
Really interested, he say, isn't if coach Hoops wants to
get the Boys making a two possession game or if
he wants to keep the offense.
Speaker 17 (01:51:40):
Out there on a fourth and five. Man, I think
you got to take the points here.
Speaker 3 (01:51:46):
I think so. But he's leaving Isaac Cooy out there
on the field.
Speaker 17 (01:51:49):
Okay, it's fourth and five.
Speaker 3 (01:51:52):
It could be another you know, potentially trying to draw
him off sides. But I don't know. They might have
that one play that they like. I know a lot
of coaches have that one play where if it's four
and five, they're gonna go for it and run this
play once again.
Speaker 2 (01:52:06):
Cooy takes the snap, He's gonna do an out and
up to Zikafous and he makes the catch in the
back of the end zone and the Uniotto takes a
thirteen to nothing league.
Speaker 3 (01:52:20):
And there it is. That's the play where Zickafous was
trying to come back. He was faking like he was coming,
trying to run a hitch the corner for Zae trace
Bit and then he went right over to the top.
Perfect float from Isaac Boyd, great catch by Jackie Zaca Fouse,
and great play ball play call for Uniota.
Speaker 2 (01:52:38):
Well, Liam Matthew will line up to take the extra
point kick and it's blocked. It is blocked by Zame Trace,
so we have a thirteen to nothing score. This is

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country w KKJA.
Speaker 2 (01:54:10):
Well, Liam Matthew will line up the kick here for
you and Yoto.
Speaker 17 (01:54:15):
We've got Higgins back waiting to catch.
Speaker 3 (01:54:21):
The kick.
Speaker 17 (01:54:22):
He does so at the five.
Speaker 2 (01:54:25):
And makes his way up the middle, breaks a couple tackles,
and we'll get to the twenty five yard line where
the zan Trace offense will take over. Just checking out
some scores here from the Middle City Apparel scoreboard on
ninety four Country on ninety four point three WKKJ.
Speaker 3 (01:54:42):
At the half, Westlaw is up fourteen to nothing on
the Adena Warriors. Also at the half, Jackson is up
forty one to six on the Point Tigers. The app
the maple Leaf from Maple Leaf Trophy eight to nothing
Huntington at the half. Chirikofe is tied fourteen to fourteen
at the half against Washington Courthouse.
Speaker 2 (01:55:05):
All right, Zane Trace will come out in a type formation,
mccolla under center. Now they're gonna break and go into motion,
and there's a handoff to Johnson. Johnson has met almost
as soon as he gets it, and we'll pick up
about a yard on the play.
Speaker 3 (01:55:26):
Yeah, if you're Saint Trace, now you know how many
points you need to get. You need to get at
least two touchdowns. So look for them to, you know,
try and find a little gadget player or something like that,
or just start throwing the ball because they have not
completed the pass yet in this game.
Speaker 2 (01:55:42):
Well, and with the way they play, that's they probably
have two possessions left. This is not a team that's
gonna march down the field, you know, in a two
minute drill kind of situation. They're gonna need to eat
up some clock to score. And so I really don't
want to throw this chance away. McCulla comes out under center,
Williams goes in motion. Mccaulla throws to Williams on the
(01:56:04):
outside and it is incomplete.
Speaker 3 (01:56:08):
Looks like McCallum won Mason Hartley deep. But Unioda did
a really good job of staying in their zone and
the safety is not biting on that that run fake.
It was able to cover the.
Speaker 2 (01:56:19):
Play a big third down third and nine for the
Shermans from their own twenty seven yard line with one
oh four left in the third quarter. Zean Trace breaks
the huddle, breaks that third and nine. I think you
(01:56:42):
maybe got to look at at Grady Stewart here on
the outside. I think that might be your best matchup
just from an athletic standpoint, and that's where they're they're
gonna throw over the middle. Oh, it went through the
hands of Hudson Williams. It kind of looked like he
was throwing it to Higgins and the ball just kind
of dropped in between them and now Zen Trace will
(01:57:03):
have to punt here on fourth down.
Speaker 3 (01:57:06):
They ended up running the same route, but they were open. Yeah,
they both were, so there was a chance that they
could have caught that. Yeah, you know, maybe they'd be
in the end zone there, but you know, I fall
is incomplete.
Speaker 17 (01:57:18):
The longer back hunt, Wellan Trace will punt here.
Speaker 2 (01:57:24):
That's a low line drive and that's gonna bounce all
the way down to the UNIODA twenty six and go
out of bound.
Speaker 3 (01:57:33):
I think the rests are gonna throw a flag now,
U Nioda came after the punter, and I believe they.
Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
Hit his plant leg. So the question becomes, is it
running into or roughing? Right, because if it's if it's roughing, that's.
Speaker 3 (01:57:46):
Gonna be a first down, and I believe if you
hit the plant leg, it is a first down. The
rest did talk this over a little bit, so maybe
they're still trying to talk it over and see if
it actually is gonna be a penalty or not, because
as they did not initially put the flag, but I
did see the contact there.
Speaker 17 (01:58:05):
Let's see the call here.
Speaker 2 (01:58:10):
That looks like running into based on that signal, Yeah,
running into the picker. So with as well as you
kicked it there, I'm not sure.
Speaker 17 (01:58:22):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (01:58:23):
You don't just take the result of the play unless
you want to take the opportunity to go forward on
fourth down here.
Speaker 3 (01:58:28):
And it's still what was that fourth and four? Fourth
and fly five? Yeah, around the thirty two yard line,
it would be risky, but you know it is thirteen
to nothing. Like you said, they have at most two
possessions left. So let's see what Zane Trace is gonna
do here. Well, it looks like the punt team is
(01:58:49):
still out there. Remember Unioda has two punt returners deep,
so that takes a guy away in the box.
Speaker 2 (01:58:55):
Does they would run a fake? Oh, that's a real
good punt by Grady Stewart and Jackson. Zika fous is
going to signal a fair catch at the thirty yard
line of Zane Trace or I'm sorry of un Yodo.
So forty four point nine seconds left here in the
third quarter.
Speaker 17 (01:59:17):
This is kind of do or die a time for
the Pioneers.
Speaker 1 (01:59:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:59:21):
What we saw for me and you knowdo on the
last drive is they were really throwing the ball. I
think they threw about five times and end up with
a touchdown. Now you really want to establish that run
game and just run most of this clock off and
put the way the game awast first.
Speaker 17 (01:59:33):
Well, we will see if that's what they do.
Speaker 2 (01:59:35):
In fact, do you Yodo huddled up getting the signal
from quarterback guys at Koy.
Speaker 17 (01:59:43):
And break the huddle?
Speaker 2 (01:59:47):
Koy in the shotgun, flanked by Cody Brayden and David Long.
He's gonna hand it off the long going on the
outside and Long puts his head down. But the Pioneers
do a good job of wrapping up and not a
lot allowing him to get much going there.
Speaker 3 (02:00:02):
Good job by Hudson Williams there meeting David Long in
the hole there and stuffing me with a line of scrimmage.
Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
And it looks like we've got an injured, injured UNIODA player.
Bryce Johnson was helping him stretch. Looks like a cramp
and Bryce Johnson for Saint Trace was helping him stretch
out there. Hopefully that's all it is. It looks like
a cramp and hopefully it's nothing more than that. Yeah,
(02:00:31):
we can't quite get his number and see who that is,
but I think it was David Long. After he got hit,
I think he just stayed down. That was a pretty
big collision there. It was a good job by the
Saint Trace to wrap up there not let him go
past the line of scrimmage. Had David Lung's a strong kid,
and when he puts his shoulder down, you're gonna feel it.
But yeah, to to your point, Saint Trace hung in
(02:00:53):
there and brought him down. And that was David Long's
first carry of the game that I have here. But
he does have two catches for about thirty nine yards. Well,
looks like he's gonna be helped off the field here.
(02:01:17):
Actually he's gonna be able to walk off on his
own paler. So that's always a good sign.
Speaker 3 (02:01:20):
That first play, That is a sign that you knew
it is trying to establish this run game. They don't
want to go three and out and give the ball
back to the same Trace, but they really do want
to establish in between the tackles because they've kind of
ran a couple of plays with the wide receivers outside
the tackles hasn't really worked out, saying, TRACE's corners have
done a really good job. So let's see if they
keep trying to run into the tackles there with their
(02:01:41):
running backs and see if they can run this stock out.
Speaker 2 (02:01:43):
Well, you know what, it comes out in a shotgun
formation with five wide. They're gonna spread this thing out
and see what they can do with it. Tooy takes
the snap, drops back and find Zika Fus on the
out and he makes the catch, but then falls down
(02:02:04):
after a gain of about five.
Speaker 3 (02:02:07):
He had some learn to run there, but he just
he just slipped and fell out of bounce there, slipped
on the turf.
Speaker 2 (02:02:14):
It'll be third and five. Here, we're at about twelve
seconds left in the third quarter.
Speaker 3 (02:02:19):
I think that might be it.
Speaker 2 (02:02:20):
I don't think they're going to run another play, And
that's exactly what's going to happen. So when we come back,
it'll be the fourth quarter. Right now, the score stands
at Uniota thirteen, Zane Trey zero. And this is the
accurate heating, cooling and plumbing game of the Week on
ninety four Country WKKJ.
Speaker 31 (02:02:38):

iHeartRadio goes one on one with Taylor Swift on connecting
to old feelings when performing her songs.
Speaker 47 (02:03:16):
I think that for the sake of the fact that
I know people want to hear those songs, you should
go back to those places emotionally and kind of channel
what you were feeling when you originally wrote it. So
you kind of have to plug into channeling and old emotion,
which is just kind of the same thing that actors
do when they're on camera.
Speaker 29 (02:03:32):
Keep listening to iHeartRadio for more of Taylor Swift and
all your favorite artists.
Speaker 1 (02:03:37):
This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country WKKGA.
Speaker 2 (02:03:44):
Well, we're back for the fourth quarter. This fourth quarter
is brought to you by Mill City Apparel. Uniodo on
its own thirty five yard line, third and five. Coy
drops back to pass. He's gonna roll out of the pocket.
There's a penalty flag down. He's gonna throw it deep
and it goes out of bounds over the head of
Jack Welch. It looks like we're probably gonna have a
(02:04:06):
hold here on Unigodo.
Speaker 16 (02:04:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:04:09):
I think it's gonna come back with a holding there.
Speaker 45 (02:04:12):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:04:12):
Coy did a really good job of avoiding the rush
by Zane Trace, who got pretty good pressure on you.
But it looks like one of the Unio alignment just
grabbed Zane Trace defender.
Speaker 2 (02:04:21):
Yeah, So if you decline here, it'll be fourth and five.
I would think you Nyoda would punt it, but it
looks like yeah, it's kind of yeah, there we go.
There goes the punt team that lived for a minute
there like like, hey, if we get a first down here,
(02:04:42):
the game, yeah, probably over. So I would have not
been surprised that they would have went for it right there. Instead,
the punt unit comes out, Grady Stewart will be back
deep for the Pioneers, and that's.
Speaker 3 (02:04:55):
Where you gotta be aware of a fake too. Knowing
how important this this drive was for Yoda, if they
could maybe steal one right here, then they might be
able to do that. And with how their defense is played,
Uniota may want to take a chance.
Speaker 17 (02:05:09):
Right here comes the snap saying Trace is gonna come
after it.
Speaker 2 (02:05:17):
He kicks it, and there's gonna be running into the
punter once again, and I believe that will give Uniota
the first down.
Speaker 3 (02:05:28):
Yeah, Zane Trace really came after that punt trying to
make a play, and it looks like he is gonna
get flagged for running into the running That should give
him a first down.
Speaker 2 (02:05:40):
So Bryce Derringer with the punt and he gets run
into and that will be a first down.
Speaker 17 (02:05:45):
That's uh, that's pretty devastating.
Speaker 18 (02:05:49):
Trace.
Speaker 3 (02:05:49):
That's killer for Zaane. Trace is gonna give Yeah, they're
gonna move the chance. For a second, I don't think
they were moving the chance. It's like fourth and an inch.
But yeah, it's just yeah, I just can't happened, Raseane Tracy.
You're about to get the ball back and they're down
two possessions already with eleven to forty three last year
in the fourth quarter, So now you're just putting their
defense back into a tough spot where they need to
(02:06:10):
get a stop and get off the field.
Speaker 2 (02:06:13):
Well, we'll see what Uniota does here first and ten
on its own forty yard line. Koi will start in
the shotgun, and again they have five wide out there,
nobody in the backfield with Koi. He's gonna take the snap,
(02:06:34):
drops back, doesn't see anything that he likes, rolls out
to the right side. He's gonna try to take it himself,
and he's going to pick up about four or five
yards on that scramble.
Speaker 3 (02:06:45):
Good job by Koy there just to get out of
the pressure and scramble out, and really good job for
him to tiptail on the sideline and get a couple
more yards.
Speaker 17 (02:06:52):
Yeah, Zane Trace was in his zone there.
Speaker 2 (02:06:54):
He just never found anything that he really liked down
the field, and Isaac's obviously good athlete, was able to
make it a positive play there. So we will we
have second and six here on the union of a
forty four yard line. Again, we're going five wide for
the Shermans. Koy all alone in the shotgun, takes the snap,
(02:07:21):
throws to Judah Zikafus there just out of his reach. Sorry,
that was David Long, and we'll have a third and
six coming up here.
Speaker 3 (02:07:32):
Hey, you knew it was really just kind of went
with this empty look for the last four or five
plays where they're they're looking to throw the ball, and
if they come out and not again, you know, beware
of that Isaac Koy being an athlete and just be
able to scramble for a first down or even a
call quarterback draw for them to get that first down.
Speaker 2 (02:07:49):
Yep, this time David Long will join Koi in the backfield.
I don't know that Kody Braydon's been on the field
the past few plays. Cooy is going to motion out
and a great pass and catch there. Looks like Jack
Welch was on the receiving end of that pass. It
was just over the outstretched fingers of Grady Stewart who
(02:08:14):
almost was able to get to it, but he couldn't,
and Isaac Coy dropped him in there to Jack Welch
for a first down.
Speaker 3 (02:08:20):
Like you said, pinpoint accuracy, right there by Isaac Coy
where he had to go over the defender and then
right into the hands of Jack Welch, who made a
really nice catch.
Speaker 2 (02:08:31):
So UNIODA will have a fresh set of downs. With
eleven oh seven left in the fourth quarter, we'll break
the huddle. It's like Cody Brayden rejoins the lineup for
the Shermans. UNIODA didn't like the way they were lining
(02:08:53):
up there, and so they're going to call a time out.
So we're gonna take a break. This is the accurate
heating and Plumbing game. With a week on ninety four

This is hometown high school football coverage on ninety four
Country w KKJA.
Speaker 17 (02:10:10):
First and ten.
Speaker 2 (02:10:10):
Sherman's Isaac coy is gonna take the snap, run ahead
to the right side and pick up some really good yardage.
He's gonna pick up about thirteen yards on that first
down and it will be first down Sherman's.
Speaker 3 (02:10:24):
Well, if you knew I was gonna be able to
run this clock out, it's gonna be their offensive line
being able to move Zane Tracey's defensive line. And right
there they did a couple of pool blocks. I was
able to get Isaac Coy a nice hole to run through.
He got untouched for about eight yards in defense of
runs about thirteen.
Speaker 2 (02:10:39):
Let's give a shout out to that UNI got offensive line.
Bryce Jarvis, Glenn Stottridge, Landon Caruth, Dylan Stanley, and Donzell
Newlan have done a really good job tonight and have
all season. Isaac Coy's going to take the snap. He's
(02:11:00):
gonna hand to Cody Braiden. Cody finds some room, keeps
his legs moving, and he's gonna pick up about ten
again on that carry, another first down for the Shermans.
Speaker 3 (02:11:12):
Yeah, that run was pretty much all Cody Braiden there.
He was able to fight off a couple of tacklers
and it's really tough to bring him down. We've seen
that a couple of times the night where he just
can't bring it down with the first guy that's gonna
hitch you. He's just running through. He a really nice
shot to be able to get ten yards there.
Speaker 17 (02:11:34):
So it is first and ten Unioto.
Speaker 3 (02:11:36):
They are approaching the red zone twenty five yard line
of the Pioneers.
Speaker 17 (02:11:45):
Boy, he's gonna take the snap. He's gonna hand a Braiden.
Speaker 2 (02:11:48):
A really nice tackle there by Hudson Williams for Zane Trace.
He got into the backfield and was able to bring
Braiden down after a game about a half a yard there.
Speaker 3 (02:11:58):
Hudson Oias was able to just get right through that
offensive line and met him in the backfield. Him being
Cody Braden brought him down. So let's see if if
that gives any Trace a little wife and he will
get off the field.
Speaker 2 (02:12:12):
So second and nine, as you can imagine you Niodo
taking plenty of time off the play clock each play
now trying to wind this game clock down. Isaac Cooyd
takes the snap, going to hand it to Braden again.
Braiden finds some room. He gets to the ten to
the five, and he gets into the end zone with
(02:12:33):
defenders draped all over him.
Speaker 3 (02:12:35):
That is a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (02:12:37):
Cody Braden twenty four yards.
Speaker 3 (02:12:40):
That is a tough run again by Cody Braden. We're
gonna do it again. Give another shout out to you
his offensive line there. They created that hole on the
initial part of the run and just Cody Braden was
able to finish once he got past that line and
kind of showed off the speed there a little bit.
Speaker 17 (02:12:55):
Yeah he did.
Speaker 2 (02:12:56):
He did a nice job of kind of turning on
the accelerator there and even have guys hanging on him
as he as he ran into the end zone.
Speaker 3 (02:13:06):
So Uniodo will come out for the extra point. Actually,
they're gonna go for two. Sorry, they're gonna go for two.
Speaker 2 (02:13:17):
Takes the snap, Cody Braiden's gonna take a direct snap
and is not gonna be able to get in and
so we have a nineteen to nothing game, uniodo with
Hudson the good tackle. Hudson has made quite a few
plays on the defensive side of the football tonight. Well,
(02:13:38):
you know this is gonna be an uphill climb. Now,
Trey for the Pioneers eight fifty six left here in
the fourth quarter. Again a team that relies heavily on
the run. Now, you're gonna have to turn into a
team that mixes in the past quite a bit here
to even give yourself a chance, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:13:53):
You're not gonna be able to do what you wanted
to do eventually initially coming into this game where you
just run the ball and take a time aime o'clock.
So Zane Trace gonn have to speed it up a
little bit here, and they I have not had a
complete pass for Dane Trace today. They have tried, and
they've had some good looks, but just nothing yet. So
let's see, uh how Zane Trace is going to open
(02:14:14):
up their offense here.
Speaker 2 (02:14:16):
Well, we're going to have Mason Hartley and Jaydon Higgins
back deep for the Pioneers. Liam Matthew will kick for
the Shermans.
Speaker 17 (02:14:27):
And this is uh, this is good time now for
the Pioneers. You don't have any time to waste.
Speaker 2 (02:14:32):
You've got to march down the field, try to get
a score and then uh try to do it again.
Speaker 3 (02:14:37):
And mccallaugh has a pretty good arm. He's kind of
seen on some of his h his incompletions that he
can't throw the ball, so that he is definitely capable
of that. But I'm just looking at Zane Tracy and
he just looked back in that that first half where
they had that seventeen play drive that just ended up
with no points and just kind of took the momentum
(02:14:59):
out of their They're sad.
Speaker 17 (02:15:01):
And Matthew kicks.
Speaker 2 (02:15:02):
Hartley fields and he is gonna be stopped at the
twenty five yard line the turn.
Speaker 3 (02:15:12):
And stay. Trace has also had that funnel recovery initially
out of the half. That was another one where you
needed to get points off them. So if they've had
their chances this opportunities, for sure, it just hasn't turned
anything for Zame Trace.
Speaker 2 (02:15:24):
So Zame Trace will start on their own twenty five
yard line, eight point fifty one left in the fourth quarter.
Offense runs out onto the field and they're gonna be
in more of a h a wide open look here
in the shotgun got Higgins to the left of mccaullaugh,
(02:15:47):
Stewart and Hartley out to the left wide. They're gonna
hand it off to Higgins. He is gonna stay alive.
He comes back reversus Field, runs into the official and
is taken down at the ten yard line and the
official is down on the ground.
Speaker 17 (02:16:04):
He was hit hard as Jaden Higgins was running the football.
Speaker 3 (02:16:11):
Yeah, Higgins was trying to find some room off the
right side, you need to shut it down, and he
got spun backwards and had to to try to reverse fields,
and he just ran into the ref there as he
was trying to and you know, he still brought down
for about a loss of maybe ten or eleven. But
now the officials still on the on the ground.
Speaker 2 (02:16:32):
Yeah, well, hopefully that be a situation where he just
kind of got the the wind knocked out of him,
got the medical personnel attending to him out there on
the field, and hopefully he'll be just fine.
Speaker 17 (02:16:45):
But he did take quite a shot.
Speaker 2 (02:16:48):
It was one of those situations where all the action
was going one way, and like you said, Higgins was
spun around, so he reversed field and ended up running
into the official there on his on his way the
other direction.
Speaker 17 (02:17:00):
So it looks like he is sitting up now. It's
a good sign.
Speaker 3 (02:17:07):
Higgins is a big guy. Yeah, it is. Those the
rest aren't wearing any protection out there, so it's it
was definitely a rough hit there, but it looks like
he's gonna be okay.
Speaker 2 (02:17:19):
That they're going to help him to his feet now
and they'll get an ovation from the crowd, and we'll
see if he's able to continue. It looks like he's
going to be okay, So good to see there.
Speaker 3 (02:17:42):
But now if here's Aye Trace, now you're you know,
you just lost twelve yards on the first place, and
now you're gonna be about second and twenty two and
really tough spot for for Zane Trace trying to put
some points.
Speaker 17 (02:17:54):
Up on the board.
Speaker 3 (02:17:55):
With about eight thirty nine left here in the game.
Speaker 2 (02:17:58):
Well, let's take a look at the Mills City Apparel scoreboard.
On ninety four Country WKKJ pikedon still leads Southeastern twenty
one to nothing. Washington Courthouse has a twenty one to
fourteen lead on Chillicothe, Hamilton Township beating Circleville thirty five
to twenty one. Huntington up twenty two to nothing on
Paint Valley, Miami Trace with a forty three to six
(02:18:22):
lead on Hillsboro.
Speaker 17 (02:18:23):
In the third quarter.
Speaker 2 (02:18:24):
Last we heard from West Fall was that they were
still beating aDNA fourteen to zero, the Jackson Ironman up
forty one to six on McLean and Logan Elm losing
to Bloom Carroll twenty eight to seven. Currently, so we're
gonna get back to it here second and twenty five
Here for Pioneers on their own ten making a excuse me,
(02:18:52):
eleven yard line, Hudson Williams goes in motion.
Speaker 3 (02:18:58):
Gutter.
Speaker 2 (02:18:58):
McCalla takes the snap, he's gonna roll out. Was right,
He's gonna throw deep to Grady Stewart. Grady Stewart makes
the catch and it's gonna be a first down a
twenty six yard game.
Speaker 3 (02:19:07):
Wow. I think you you maybe uh mentioned it before
that Grady Stewart has that size advantage and if Saint
Tracey needs to get the big plays, they need to
go to him. And that was a really good throw
by uh uh MCCALLU wouldn even better catch by Stewart.
Speaker 2 (02:19:20):
It was that was not that was a tight window
that he threw intwo But yeah, I mean, you know,
Grady's a kid that's probably six'.
Speaker 3 (02:19:26):
Five he's.
Speaker 17 (02:19:26):
Athletic.
Speaker 2 (02:19:28):
Uh sometimes you just gotta give your playmakers a chance
to go make a.
Speaker 3 (02:19:31):
Play and you have had good cruverage, here it's just over. Them,
yeah mccolla in the.
Speaker 2 (02:19:36):
Shotgun he's gonna take the, snap he's gonna fake the
handoff To, higgins get a quick out To Mason.
Speaker 17 (02:19:41):
Hartley Mason hartley.
Speaker 2 (02:19:42):
Is gonna dance up the sideline a little bit and
he's gonna be brought down by several un knowed. Defenders
looks like a gain of about. Nine they're gonna actually
go ahead and give him the well one official was
signaling that it was gonna be a first, down but give. It,
yeah they are finally gonna move the. Chains so h
(02:20:03):
or zame trace back to back passing plays. Here picked
up about thirty six yards on those two.
Speaker 3 (02:20:09):
Plays And hartley's not As Vegas, stewart but he is.
Quick he is, quick got right Through union. Defenders McCall's
gonna take the. Snap he's gonna run off the right
side of the. Line pick up about three on that.
PLAY i would assume they're going to start to pick
up this tempo a little. Bit try to get the
play in quickly and get back to the line as
soon as. Possible gotta hoop For Zaane. Tracy just keep
(02:20:33):
completing these passes and these chunk plays and not taking
all this time off. O'clock about seven thirty nine left
in the fourth, Quarter.
Speaker 2 (02:20:42):
So mccolaugh readies himself to take the, snap fakes the
handoff To, higgins runs up the left side and he's
gonna pick up about a Yard and IF i could
read The Uni yoda, NUMBERS i would tell you who that.
Was looks like number fifty. Seven Bryce jarvis made a
nice play in the backfield. There, yeah we've said his
(02:21:02):
name a couple of. Times here's a.
Speaker 3 (02:21:03):
Senior he's got five and a half tackles for the
loss on the.
Speaker 2 (02:21:05):
Season seven to ten left in the, Game Zane trace
with an empty. Backfield now they're gonna throw, it, bit
throw it back To, stuart who's gonna throw. Ahead, oh
just out of the reach of number Five Lucas. Euler
that was a little backward pass To stuart who was
(02:21:25):
throwing it To oiler up the sideline and it just
was out of his.
Speaker 3 (02:21:29):
Reach. Yeah oiler was just in front of Him uniota
defensive backs and would have been a tough play if
you would have made, It but it, was you, know
a nice trip by think.
Speaker 2 (02:21:39):
Try, yeah he did have the. Opportunity it is now
fourth and, six right on the fifty yard, line six fifty.
Speaker 3 (02:21:47):
Seven left in the.
Speaker 17 (02:21:48):
Game mccolly in the. Shotgun higgins to his right.
Speaker 2 (02:21:54):
Drops back to pass and to throw it to the
outside Of Stuart stewart makes the catch and gets out
of bound for a gain of about eight that'll be
enough for a first down for The.
Speaker 3 (02:22:02):
Pioneers nice route run right there By Grady stewart and
even better throw by gunner. McCalla and that was your
game right. There who would have been over so nice
nice pitch and catch by them.
Speaker 2 (02:22:13):
Too, well if nothing, ELSE i Think Coach wars comes
out of this game with a little bit of a
more of a sensible belief, that, hey we can throw
the ball a little bit.
Speaker 17 (02:22:23):
More this has been really effective here on this.
Speaker 3 (02:22:25):
Drive, YEAH i think we would maybe have seen more passes,
today but they really wanted to come in with You
andioda trying to run the. Ball but, yeah they're definitely
capable of throwing the ball and you, know get some big.
Speaker 2 (02:22:35):
Games McCalla in the shotgun once, again he's gonna take the,
snap gonna throw it To higgins over the. Middle nice
catch as he gets hit all the.
Speaker 17 (02:22:47):
Past by number. Eight mike Is.
Speaker 2 (02:22:50):
Strange Micahs strange Met higgins as soon as he caught.
It higgins is feeling that a little. Bit but, again
another gain of about twenty two yards on that passed
down the.
Speaker 3 (02:23:00):
Middle like you, said big hit By Michael, Strain so
an even better job Of Jadeen hagen's being able to
hang on to that. Ball and that was a big
game For Samee. Trace and they're. Moving they are six
point thirty left in the. Game McCullough in the. Shotgun
Hudson williams goes in. Motion mccaulla rolls out to his. Right,
(02:23:23):
oh and that is gonna be Picked niota brings the ball.
Back he's gonna go ahead and take a knee at the.
Ten we've got a penalty as the play was happening
wing and then a penalty after the play.
Speaker 17 (02:23:40):
That Was Jackson zickafuse that picked it.
Speaker 2 (02:23:42):
Off stuart was under pressure or sorry Not stuart McCulla
was under pressure and uh just tried to get rid
of the ball and it went right To Jackson. Zickafus
sort out these penalties. HERE i, WAS i have a
feeling both of them are going to be On Zane,
trace so we're just gonna will wipe.
Speaker 3 (02:24:04):
Out and, YEAH i think the initial penalty was holding
On Zane trace in the. Backfield as you knew it
was trying to get pressure there so it'll still Be uniota.
Ball just a really good job By unioda getting pressure on.
McCallum know he needed to throw the ball and they
needed to, catch but just a little bit underthrown with
(02:24:24):
that pressure by.
Speaker 2 (02:24:26):
Mccallar the officials over here talking To Matt hoops about
what he wants to do with these. Penalties got Some
jeopardy music playing over THE pa system as we wait
to hear on the.
Speaker 3 (02:24:44):
Offense that penalty has declined.
Speaker 29 (02:24:48):
Walking the back.
Speaker 42 (02:24:51):
Eighty six black after the, interception that penalty will be.
Speaker 2 (02:24:54):
Enforced, Yeah so it's an interesting situation where The unioda
had to decline it in order for the the interception to.
Speaker 17 (02:25:00):
Stand but you, know normally those two things what.
Speaker 2 (02:25:04):
Offset but in this get the, Situation unioda gets a
block in the back while on the. Return so they're
going to start their drive at the zane trace five yard,
lines six eleven. Left here in the fourth, quarter Un
yoda up nineteen to. NOTHING i think if you're Un,
yota now it's, uh it's pound the pound the rock
(02:25:26):
and try to you, know shorten this game and get
out of here with a. Win, yeah just hang on
to the football and run behind that offensive line trying
to run this talk out and, uh they're still moving
the ball, back gonna be at the five yard line for.
Unioda but like you, SAID i Think Zay trace can
(02:25:50):
take some positives away from that last. Drive they know
they can throw the ball The, yeah, yeah you, know
definitely going to the next game and that's a positive
that they can.
Speaker 17 (02:25:58):
See they're gonna hand it off To Cody.
Speaker 2 (02:26:01):
Braiden he's gonna make his way back to the line
of scrimmage and be taken down there By Hudson williams
and gunner.
Speaker 3 (02:26:08):
Mccallough we Called Hudson williams's name a. Lot he's got
fifty eight tackles on the season coming into this, game
and he's he's gotten a few.
Speaker 2 (02:26:17):
Tonight, yeah he's been very. Active he's been the defensive.
Sidefield so, we're, uh we're at second. Nine they're gonna
give me a yard on that play five.
Speaker 17 (02:26:27):
P forty. Three the clock is ticking, Down.
Speaker 2 (02:26:33):
Udyodo approaches the line of, scrimmage twelve seconds left on
the play. Clock continue to be in the shotgun here
and the pistol boy is gonna receive the snap and
they're gonna once again hand it off To Cody, braiden
and guess who is living in the backfield once?
Speaker 17 (02:26:54):
Again Hudson williams with a great.
Speaker 3 (02:26:56):
Play he came flying from his linebacker spot and he
got A Cody brayden there in the backfield for About
was that a loss of? Two? Yeah? Three? Yeah loss
of three is gonna be on the two yard? Line.
Speaker 2 (02:27:07):
Yeah this is a situation where if You're, unyoda it's
just don't turn it over right with the getting the
first down here or not as, secondary do not turn
the ball.
Speaker 3 (02:27:16):
Over and if You're, yoda you can take a safety.
Here if you take a, safety still a three possession,
game but you cannot lose the ball right here and
give up a.
Speaker 2 (02:27:27):
Touchdown, well it looks Like nyoda is gonna have to
take a time out because the play clock is about
to go. Down and that's exactly what will. Happen we're
gonna stay, here you, Know, Trey i'd be getting you,
Know I've i've been able to see every team in THE. Sebc,
now with the exception Of Paint. Valley what are your
two thoughts overall on these two teams?
Speaker 3 (02:27:48):
Here, WELL U nyoda In Zane. TRACE i thought coming
in it was gonna be a pretty good. Game AND
i think in this, Game unyoda definitely established himself as
that that top team in THE svc AND uh they
really haven't shown it, tonight but their quickness is really
(02:28:08):
prevalent when they PLAY uh teams unlike you, Know Zane,
trace and they're really. Fascinating they do not let you slow. Down,
YEAH i think just going into this, game they were
trying to do a little bit of a different thing
and slow it down a little bit and establish that running.
Game but you, Know Zane trace is good AND I i,
Mean unyota is. Good and not to Knock Zane trace at.
All they're a very good football team and they're on
(02:28:29):
the right and we've seen some of them make some
good plays and it's, just you know how we've, said
just some miscues with some not capitalizing off turnovers and
you know that that field goal begin the, game it's
just it's it's kind of taking away their momentum ever since.
Speaker 2 (02:28:45):
THAT i think if you're gonna Give Zane trace credit for,
something it's the fact that every other team that's Played
unioto this year has.
Speaker 17 (02:28:51):
Been overwhelmed by them.
Speaker 3 (02:28:53):
RIGHT i, MEAN i think they've been in a running
clock situation in every single game so far this.
Speaker 2 (02:28:58):
Year Zane trace hasn't been a overwhelmed. Now uniota has
shown why they are the best team in the conference
and and why they have a chance to go make
a long run in the. Playoffs But Zaane trace has
competed really hard. TONIGHT i think there's a Snap. Takoy
he's back in his end. Zone he's going to roll
out to his. Left he's going to try to get
(02:29:18):
rid of the ball and not going to be able
to complete the. Pass it will uh, Oh we've got
a flag that comes out about five seconds.
Speaker 3 (02:29:32):
The completion of the. Play so what it's going to
be on Is Zane tracey's safety went over To Jackson
zikafous and after the ball went over his head kind
of gave him a shot there and maybe going to
be a late. Hit but the, REFS i believe we're
going to take a conference and talk about.
Speaker 39 (02:29:48):
It.
Speaker 17 (02:29:49):
Targeting we just got a targeting.
Speaker 2 (02:29:55):
Call i'm not sure who the defender, was BUT i
believe that will put them out of the rest of this.
Speaker 3 (02:30:01):
Game i'm kind of surprised that the refs have not
convened and talked about. It maybe they've talked About mike's or,
whatnot but that WAS i, MEAN i could see it
where The Zain trace safety kind of came over and
he Hit Jackson's inferdo's up. High.
Speaker 17 (02:30:21):
YEAH i don't know that he was leading with his
helmet or anything like, that. THOUGH i think he was
just trying to make a.
Speaker 3 (02:30:26):
PLAY i think it was more of a late. MAYBE
i think that that you.
Speaker 17 (02:30:30):
Could make an argument.
Speaker 3 (02:30:31):
For but there.
Speaker 2 (02:30:36):
It's going to be a first, down but only a
five yard. Penalty So uniodo has the ball on their
own seventeen yard, Line Isaac cooy and the shotgun he's
going to hand off. TO i believe That's Kobe britten
(02:30:58):
and he's going to pick up about three on that
carry to kind of go off what we were talking.
Speaker 3 (02:31:04):
About Un. Yota in every single game they've, had they
scored forty two points at least forty two, points and
they're averaging forty six points seven points per. Game so
Sane tracey's came in and they. Haven't they have. Exceeded
what they want to do as a defense is just
stop this uniona defense and you, know holding them to
nineteen points here is pretty. Good, yeah it. Is N
(02:31:28):
yodo breaks the.
Speaker 2 (02:31:29):
Huddle three point fifty left in this, game nineteen to,
zero Un yoda on. Top sherman's are trying to run
out this. Clock he's going to fake the handoff To
Braydon cooy is going to be brought down in the.
Backfield he's going to lose about four and that's gonna
set up a third and nine.
Speaker 17 (02:31:51):
Three johnson on the nineteen yard.
Speaker 3 (02:31:52):
Line, yeah that targeting penalty is pretty big Because Dane
tracy is going to get the ball back as an incmplete.
Pass it was third down and they were at the
two yard. Line so now they've had to run some
more time off this clock From niota and They trace
is not really gonna have any time left to do anything,
now Is Isac koy came up limping after that last.
(02:32:13):
Play we'll see if if he's able to do much.
Here if this is just gonna be a. Handoff we've
got about three seconds left on the play. Clock i'm
not sure they're gonna be able to get this, off
and That hoops is going to call a time out
for The. Shermans, Yeah koy is really limping. Now it
doesn't look like anything. Major it's just he did take
(02:32:35):
a pretty good hit. There it was about four or
Five Zan Trace pioneers that brought him down in the.
Speaker 2 (02:32:40):
Backfield, well two fifty six, left it's third and. Nine
The shermans have the ball on their own eighteen yard
line and they're gonna use this time out to try
to draw up a play that for their sake and
get them a first down and, Say trace is going
to try to try to hold on here and maybe
(02:33:01):
you get one more opportunity to.
Speaker 17 (02:33:02):
Score, Yeah Zaye.
Speaker 3 (02:33:06):
Trace going in the next, week they're gonna Play Paint,
Valley so maybe that's gonna give him a couple of
things Of, hey we're gonna work on our passing game
because we realize we can throw the ball especially get
this this good union and a, Defense so maybe that's
something that they want to build on going into next
week as.
Speaker 2 (02:33:20):
Well. Well and, again if You're Zane, trace you can
sort of look to the playoffs now and say what
do we have to do in order to go win
games in that? Environment AND i do think if you
can win in multiple, ways it makes you that much
harder to. Beat and, uh they've shown the ability to
be a little more two dimensional, Tonight udyodo thirty. Nine
(02:33:46):
Isaac coy in the backfield With Cody brayden to his.
Speaker 3 (02:33:49):
Right he takes the.
Speaker 17 (02:33:54):
Snap, oh we're gonna have a false. START i believe.
Speaker 3 (02:34:03):
The right side of that offensive line came off, fire
and then so did the left side of the defensive defensive.
Liner that was quite a collision tacking a guard and
then the left. Hand they all went for the, time
but no one. Else. Yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:34:20):
Well that's going to push Uh uniota back five. Yards
it's gonna be third and fourteen from their own. Thirteen
Isaac coy gets to play from the. Sideline he's going
to deliver it to his teammates in the. Huddle fifteen
seconds left on the play. Clock Isaac coy in the,
(02:34:44):
Shotgun Cody braiden to his. Left Listen levi being in.
Motion they're going to hand it off To. Braiden braiden
find some room up the. Middle what a great tackle
By Jaden. Higgins Jayden higgins gave up his body to
Take Cody braidon down there about three yards shy of
the first.
Speaker 3 (02:35:03):
Down and if he did not bring him down he'd
probably see he was. Gone, yeah that was a really
good tackle By. Higgins that's gonna be fourth, down fourth
and two at two and a half minutes left in the.
Speaker 2 (02:35:17):
Game unioda's offense is gonna stay in the field and
try to get this first. Down Un yoto has zero timeouts.
Left Isaac coy's they've got running into the. Huddle it's
about ten seconds left on the play. Clock they're gonna
sprint to the. Line play clock ticks. Down coy gets
(02:35:37):
the snap with about one second. Left they're gonna throw
it outside and The Zane trace offense The Uni yodo twenty.
Speaker 3 (02:35:48):
Five, yeah just kind of have The oprah receive in,
there just a little high From Isaac. Cooy so is a.
Tracy got two minutes left and now you know you're
gonna take over at The unionta twenty five yard. Line
kind of get some. POINTS i, know you, know it's
a lot. Different you're probably not gonna win this, game
(02:36:09):
but nineteen to zero versus nineteen to seven is a
little bit.
Speaker 2 (02:36:13):
Better so, yeah, AGAIN i think it's at this, point
it's what do we take from this? Game and if
you can gain some positive momentum here at the end
of this. Game it gives you. Something it gives you
guys confidence as they move. Forward So gunner McCall is
going to take the snap out of the. Shotgun he's
going to run forward for about four yards. THERE a
(02:36:37):
little bit more of an opportunity here with the short
field For Zane trace to kind of do offensively what
they normally like to, do which is run the. Football
recalling the. Shotgun williams goes in. Motion no one else
in the backfield besides. Gunner gunner is gonna take the.
(02:36:57):
Snap he's gonna run, forward he's gonna bounce it out
to the, left and he's gonna fall forward for the
first down and pick up about seven there for gunner. McCullough,
yeah just a good.
Speaker 3 (02:37:07):
Athletic run there by McCalla and finding nothing on the
inside and then bouncing outside trying to get about six.
Yards he's gonna get the first.
Speaker 2 (02:37:14):
Down Saint trace moving a little bit quicker, here about
one twenty nine left in the. Game, again no one
else in the backfield with. McCollough see if they continue
to run him or if they're going to look to pass,
here he's going to drop back to. Pass he takes
a hit and the pass is offline as a, result
(02:37:37):
looked like number twenty one. There Jacob renner hit McCollough
hard as he threw. It, yeah that's definitely he was
the one that affected that.
Speaker 3 (02:37:44):
Pass it Was Jacob renner got in there really fast
and on a really quick, route being able to get
to the. Quarterback it was a really nice to move By. Renter,
well it's what he's done all.
Speaker 2 (02:37:52):
Season he's been a guy that has disrupted the other
team's offense all.
Speaker 3 (02:37:57):
Year, yeah he's been coming in this game with six
and a half tackles were lost to go along with
four and a half.
Speaker 2 (02:38:02):
Sacks paculla awaits the snap has three out to his,
Right gonna throw it up again To. Stewart, yeah he
took a little bit of a shot.
Speaker 3 (02:38:15):
There that.
Speaker 2 (02:38:18):
Is slow getting Up gunner McCall. Is pass was over
the head Of Grady. Stewart, yeah that time it was.
Speaker 3 (02:38:27):
Sixty. Six donzell New one got in. There, uh did
a really good job of just Making gunner McCalla not
feel comfortable in, there and that led to that high.
Speaker 2 (02:38:36):
Pass So zane trace third and ten there on The
uniota thirteen one eleven left in the. Game they trailed
To sherman's nineteen to. Zero pacola takes the. Snap unioda
comes on the. Blitz he just throws the ball and
(02:38:57):
it is picked off By Judah, zikafus who is going
to fall down in the end.
Speaker 3 (02:39:01):
Zone we all his brother had an reception earlier in
this quarter and now he gets. One, whatever whatever you can, do,
BROTHER i can do. Better Uh They johnnomercolle just didn't
have any time. There nioda was in the. Backfield brodersey
snapped the. Ball, yeah they came with the blitz up
the middle and that guy was. Untouched and that's a
(02:39:23):
that's a recipe for disaster if you're the. Offense, Yeah
unioda's defensive line is. Dominant even the defense in general
has just been dominant here to.
Speaker 2 (02:39:32):
That, well U niyota will look to wrap this. Up
one oh four, left they're on their own twenty yard.
Line they're gonna be in the victory of formation and
they're gonna take a, knee which wears does have two.
Timeouts i'll be shocked if he chooses to use those
(02:39:53):
here and the clock will tick, down so they'll.
Speaker 17 (02:40:00):
You'll it one more.
Speaker 2 (02:40:00):
Time Sweet caroline is being serenaded throughout the stands Here
trey as this game gets finished, up and they will
snap it one more time and that will do. It
(02:40:24):
so the you, know The shermans are going to take
a nineteen to zero victory here tonight over The Zane
Trace pioneers and they now will take sole possession of
first place as we Finish week seven of this. Season

Gonna make us, throw and we were able to do.
Speaker 22 (02:46:43):
That isaac gets some big throws and that kind of
loosened it up a little bit and we were able
to run the ball off of.
Speaker 2 (02:46:48):
That, coach talk about the impact That Jackson's Zicka hoost
makes on your team, offensively, defensively he played special.
Speaker 17 (02:46:55):
TEAMS i, mean the kid does.
Speaker 22 (02:46:56):
Everything he does it always a great, athlete he's one
of the best athletes in the. Area obviously plays three
sports and he's successful in all three of.
Speaker 21 (02:47:02):
Them, Uh he's just a, playmaker.
Speaker 22 (02:47:03):
Man he two big plays a night and several plays
on defense and just lucky to have.
Speaker 3 (02:47:08):
Him and then in the special.
Speaker 22 (02:47:10):
Teams he saves us a lot of yards by being
aggressive and catching those. Balls some of them are a
little risky and it makes us, nervous but, uh you,
know for the most, part he does a really good
job back.
Speaker 17 (02:47:19):
There, coach you're you're in the driver's seat of THE.
Speaker 2 (02:47:21):
Svc, now talk about as you think about the kind
of the the tail end of the, season where do
you guys need to continue to get better as you move.
Speaker 22 (02:47:30):
Forward, WELL i just think we've always got to continue
to get better up, front you know this late in the.
SEASON i think one of the things is is try
to be as healthy as you can.
Speaker 3 (02:47:39):
Be you.
Speaker 22 (02:47:39):
Know, uh you get these nicks and and bruises and
and bumps and those. Things uh those.
Speaker 21 (02:47:46):
Take longer to heal the longer you.
Speaker 22 (02:47:47):
Play and uh so we're gonna have to be real
conscious of that and practice the next couple of weeks
and just clean some things up and just just trying
to keep. Improving it's a long season and it's a physical,
season and you.
Speaker 3 (02:47:58):
Know we know that and we'll just have to be
ready for.
Speaker 2 (02:48:01):
