A great non league matchup here between the Zaant Trace
Pioneers who come in one to one on the year
and Waverley who comes into and oh you look at
these teams. You got Zane Trace. They have two really
proven scorers and Gunner McCullough and Grady Stewart, both of
them have been in double figures in both games this year.

Really stands out to me is, and this was a
big question mark with Zaint Trace coming in the year,
has been their guard play by some of their unproving guards,
guards like Lance Stevens and most notably Roman Berry, who's
really been impressed running the point guard for Zane Trace. So, Jeff,
you look at the Saint Gray's team and.

thirty five, over piked in and coming into this big matchup.

Yeah, I think you're when you're looking at your opponent Waverley,
I think you still got to do the same job
that you came in here to do. I don't think
you try to change it up and try to go
play against Waverley any.

I think you got enough talent and enough size to
match up athletically with them, So I think it's gonna
be a good matchup for him. But I don't think
they need to get anywhere out of control and try
to push things again.

Ain't Trace team has been Bryce Johnson.

He didn't play last year.

As a sophomore, had a fantastic football season this year.
One of the co backs of the year. Bryce Johnson
brings some ruggedness to this team and a lot of
aggressiveness and athleticism inside that really helps them out and
helps Gunner McCullough out.

Yeah, he's a big kid. Just looking at him right here,
he's very well built, and I think that that's gonna
be a big thing when it comes against Waverley because
they have some really outstanding guard play. But really on
the inside, you can really attack them and get aggressive
with them, and.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
I think that's where they can score some buckets. You
look at this Waverley Tiger team. They have a lot
of experience coming back. Now that experience was young.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Last year.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
You had some freshmen and sophomores played key roles for
this team. But they are back and they are experienced.
You look like at a player like Cage Alexander. He
is a big time scorer. They've had some big time
scorers at Waverley. He's only a sophomore and he can
score in bunches.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah, he might be one of the best point guards
in the league and he's only a sophomore. And even
around the area, he might be one of the best
in the area. And he I mean, he's a pure scorer.
When you look at it, he's averaging twenty five a game.
He's played two games, he's average twenty five. So I
think roman Berry, if he's the one that ends up
guarding him, I think he's going to be a great matchup.
He's got to get aggressive with him and don't get

frustrated if he starts putting the ball in the hoop.

You look also at Waverley, you got guys like Teagan
Hurt Sawyer and Gunner Myers both big contributors to this team,
and they bring a lot of athleticism with them. And
then you add a freshman in this year, a guy
by the name of Kai Kazi who's really come in
and is a good complement to Kage Alexander in the

off guard position. So this Waverley team is a team
that can score in a variety ways. The thing that
really stands about about Waverley is defensively. They are a
really good defensive team. Yeah, it's gonna be a big
test for Zaying Trace.

their last game by three points against a very good
Galley Academy team. So I think it's going to be
a great test here on a Saturday, and we'll see
what we get.

mean crowds loud, and everything but fighting through the. SCREEN stuff,
i mean he's, me sometimes BUT like i don't fight

fighting through is kind of the. Biggest thing, and uh,
you know getting those little calls here, and there, BUT
uh i think overall just kind of helped us out
With uh gunner and especially no, Or Yeah noah kaiser

same corner and, hit IT and i mean they called

here the crowd was into it and a Guy. Like
gunner gunner does a great job of keeping balls alive for.

what tonight's game was it as PHYSICAL as i thought.

It was it reminded me Of the ironton game last
Year out waverley first run. The playoffs, but yeah really

second half effort and toughness of taking care of, the
ball executing our offense and stuff like that really want us.
