Good evening, everyone, and welcome Division four District semi final
action here at Southeastern High School. I'm Shane comes alongside
Lou Postage and you're listening to Hernsign Hunday SPC Game
of the Week on ninety four Country WKKJ. And speaking
of postseason basketball and WKKJ, so far, we're back in
one thousand here in the postseason. Lou and I last
week was able to get Uniota to this round, and

then you and Jacob are able to get Zane Trace
to last night's game, and you and I had a
dandy down at Waverley.

Now we got Zane Trace onto the convo.

Here we are again trying to get Uniota there on
Thursday night all some time of year.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
I know you and I love it just to talk
a little postseason basketball to me. Oh, there's so much
excitement that game. Last night. I went home and I
couldn't go to sleep.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
I told my wife if I just couldn't relax because
of the number one physicality of the game.

But look, just the atmosphere itself.

So this is the great time of the year, and
it's even greater when you win and you get to
move on. And that first game here tonight's ow an
upset where you know, Waverley gets to move on to
Athens and hopefully at half time we'll talk to Waverley
coach Kyle Bradley. But again it is a great time
of year.

Again, Waverley beats the buzzer to beat Jackson by two.
That was a seven to two upset. So the number
seven seeded Waverley Tigers waiting on the winner of this
one tonight, which you know is a three six matchup UNIODA.
The three seed comes in at twenty and three overall
thirteen and one outright SBC champions. They advanced with a

sixty five fifty nine win over number fourteen Logan Elm
And then on that same night Fairfield Union now twelve
and eleven. They were seven and five inside the Mid
State Buckeye fourth place team. They defeated eleven seed McClain
sixty eight to fifty one. And you know, as I
look at this team on film, they mix a little
young and old, but they're very talent group. It's been

a funny group who they started four and one, then
went nine and five, win eleven and six, and then
for whatever reason, went on the five game slide before
winning their first tournament game. So it's certainly I've seen
a little bit of both up and down. But man,
when I turn the film on, I see a lot
of things that really pass the eye.

Yeah, and as you said, is a mixture of a
little bit of experience ands of youth. And it's funny
that youth can really get tired late in the year.
I'm not used to playing that many games, and the
physicality of these varsity games is a big difference. So
a lot of teams that are have a lot of
youth struggle late in the year. But like you said,
there's a lot of talent out there, and on any

given night that talent can explode.

And this Fairfield Nior team is very dangerous well.

And when you look at the different things that really
jumps out on film is their ability, how hard they play,
they get on the offensive glass.

Uniot's probably got a little experience in the backcourt.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
But whenever we hear people say matchups and we hear
tournament time, it's those styles and different things. It's kind
of the individual matchups within the team matchup, something that
maybe jumps out at you going into this one and night.

Well again, I think KB Perkins inside that's going to
be a big matchup. They have a nice player they're
inside number five as senior Keegan Arnett, who.

Plays really well. He plays uses his body well.

He's about six', three but he can really use his body,
well gets a lot of offensive rebounds and he's one
of their leading. Scorers so that'll be a. Matchup i'll
be watching as. Well but then they can bring some
youth in as far as some size in as. Well
and you know the thing About Uni YODO i think
is their guards can rebound the ball pretty. Well they're
going to have to do that here. Tonight you can't

down the floor and see him thinking can't get some.
TRANSITION i think defense and rebounds are going to be
big keys.

their freshman, posts that probably plays a little, bit at
least for today's, basketball a little bit more of a
traditional four. Position what do you think that does The
unions matchup the versatility of A hoops or a fixed,
defensively you think that's still an okay matchup for you any.

man THAT i would put on that, kid just because
he can show some physicality with him and also be
