Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to our podcast, Women We Love. It is what
it says. It's a podcast about women we love. And
today we welcome president and CEO of the Renovation Foundation,
Jeremy's sister, Kim Renner.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Who're celebrating and encouraging the vital role of women in
American history.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hi, how are you so good? Nice to meet you.
It's Ellen. We're so excited that we could get you
on the air.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Oh yeah, me too.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
How's your bro?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
He's doing good. He's healthy and I'm telling you he's
really like, he's gotten buff and he's fit. I don't
know what's going.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
On, Kim, I have to tell you. So we see
him in January. Right there he is and he's healing
and talking about aches and pains and really, I mean,
it's been one year. Then we see him six months later.
I'm like, what are you?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
What I'm saying it's like a is he a terminator? Like,
what's going on? He's a machine? Kim? He is, and
he looks younger. I'm very offended. It's always in me
and now he looks younger than me.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
All Right, we're here with Kim Runner, Jeremy Runner and
the Renovation Foundation with Heroes for kids. It's FORI kids
because it's a big concert and golf tournament for charity
and it's all to raise kids who need it. Tell
us all about it.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, So we're hosting a really cool event in Las
Vegas to bring people together to really have fun, and
all the proceeds are going to go to the Foster
Use of Nevada. We're planning on having some really cool,
exciting celebrity hosted events and this really great rock concert
at the Brooklyn Bowl in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I had not been to the Brooklyn Bowl yet, so
this looks really really cool. It's all start concert and
awards ceremony. Kim, they need to give you an award
because Jeremy, last time he was in here, he said that,
you know, it was all about your summer camp and
he said you're the softy and that you always make
away and find a way for another kid and another kid,

(02:03):
and so we know your heart is huge.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
That's right, you know, and foster kids deserve it, right.
They need all the love, they need all of our support,
and you know, that's what we try to do is
rally people that you know, really want to get back
in a certain way. So why not do it and
have fun and put on a really cool rock concert.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah, every ticket sold, every swing on the golf course.
Are you a golfer?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
I am, Yes. I don't get a golf that day
because I'll be working unfortunately, so I'll be a little jealous.
But there's be some cool celebrities on every hole, so
tickets are open for sure. How is he really fun?

Speaker 1 (02:37):
How is brother Jeremy as a golfer?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Well, you know, secretly Jeremy can play any sport there is,
of course, but publicly, you know, he's a bit more shy,
probably won't put himself out there. But I'll tell you
if it doesn't matter if it's a board game or
if it's a physical sport. He's so competitive and I
mean Monopoly. Never play Monopoly with.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Him, hilarious.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah, he will own park place and boardwalk and take
all yourney.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I expect nothing less. Kim Renner, it is the Heroes
four kids. We're raising money for the Renovation Foundation, and
I love what you do. Tell me, what is that
feeling when when you meet these kids and you have
just gifted them and taken care of them and really
just shown them love some of them for the first

(03:29):
time in their lives, Like that must just be so fulfilling.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, it's so fulfilling. And then you actually create relationships
so it's not just a one and done right, So
you get to be a mentor, you get to help
and watch them grow and then they end up becoming
the adults that do like crazy amazing things and you
can really, you know, make a difference. It's that circle
of influence and if we can stop any kind of

(03:54):
generational issues like this is where we need to be,
you know, with these kids lifting them up, and you know,
Jeremy's really garnered a pretty pretty cool set of other
celebrities that are involved, like our Brooke and Bowl. Evin
is going to have Gavin Rossdale from Bush, Robin Xander
from Cheap Trick, Robin Sick is coming, Richard Page from
Mister Mister Rob Bass, Skip Martin, and this really cool

(04:17):
upcoming band called The Scarlet Opera. We're very excited to
see their high energy they're going to bring to the stage.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Ah, this is going to be amazing. You can grab
your tickets on the Ellen k Morning Show blog. We're
sending everyone to Coast one of three five dot com
slash Ellen We're going to have all of your links
up because this is a whole weekend of things that
we can get involved in, all to help, all to
help the youth, and your renovation. It's just so great

(04:44):
you and watching all the great stuff and all the
love you give.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
