Speaker 1 (00:00):
And welcome out to the Minnesota State Fair.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Another beautiful, picture perfect day here in the shadows of
the grand stand. My name is Robbie Rosenhald, standing alongside
Brett Blake Moore, and as we finish up Fantasy Football Weekly,
we give you another two hours of programming here. We'll
be here till two o'clock with a lot of fun
in store. I'm going to get to my guests in
just a second. We'll have fan family Feud coming up
(00:37):
next segment, So if you want to potentially win a
fan hat or a prize, come on over and you'll
play with the lovely Sam san Severe and Kaye Beec
from K one O two's Chris Carr and Company. In
the morning. They'll be over to assist us in a
little fan family feud in just a little while, and
we'll have some fun and games as the next two
(00:58):
hours go by. But without further ado, I'd like to
bring in my next two guests and to kick off
the show here. Next weekend at the Mall of America,
you can hang out with some of the best athletes
and professional wrestling at one of the coolest venues in
the Midwest. Folks, you know about the Mall of America
here in the state of Minnesota. Maybe some tourists out
there who are hearing my voice or seeing us for
(01:20):
the first time. Well, the Mall of America will be
host to a huge event coming up next Friday and Saturday,
featuring a litany of stars from the world of wrestling,
featuring First Wrestling, and my guest will be our Chris
grap from the Mall of America and Devon Monroe from
First Wrestling. Chris and Devon, how you guys doing.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
I'm doing well. Thank you for having us.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
I'm doing great. Thank you for having us. This is
super fun.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Well, thanks for kicking off the show here talking about
this event next week. So before we get to the
actual event on Saturday night, which will feature four floors
of fans basically just overlooking the action, talk about the
fan fest that's going on Friday, which you'll be uh
some acts, throwing indoor go carts, some awesome food, some
(02:04):
interviews taking place, kind of a media day, So quite
a big extravaganza going on Friday before you get to
the main event on Saturday.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yeah, this is.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
First Wrestling's biggest show of the year, and this is
our third year doing it third year for fan Fest,
and fan Fest takes place the night before. We really
wanted to make it into a big event feel for everybody.
People come in from out of town for this, so
FanFest is the best way for people to get close
to the professional wrestlers and superstars, photos, autographs, and like
(02:32):
you said, the Pharaom four is a great host. So
we've had people doing go kart competitions against super Atomic,
Thunderfrog and Big Opossum, or they've been ax throwing with Warhorse.
It's just a unique way to mix it up with
a bunch of the athletes. And you've been there all
three years now, so how is that event for you?
Speaker 5 (02:51):
Yes, FanFest is always so much fun, just kind of
just being in close quarters with the fans, you know,
taking pictures, having food and joining drinks and throwing axes.
So I'm fair on four definitely one of my favorite places.
I would recommend definitely the Inngdor go karting, but I'm
definitely definitely looking forward to that next Friday.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
And some of the superstars that'll be out there include TNA, Knockout,
Jordan Grace, Nick Nemeth. As you may know, Adolph Ziggler
for you old time wrestling vans, Baron von Raski with
the claw, he'll be out there. And then Zach Ryder,
who goes who our real name is Matt Cardona, but
went by.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Zack Ryder in WWA.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
He'll be there to take on the former Uptown VFW
champ devonn Roe. But potentially, because we don't know the matches,
you won't know until you get there. He'll be there,
Devon will be there. There'll be a ton of superstars,
and again it could be anything goes.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Right, that's right. All we know is that right now
he unceremonially took the belt from Devon, and right now.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
He holds the belt.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
But as of next Saturday, we have no idea what's
gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
Absolutely yeah, I know there's one mission. I know there's
a's how to get back. You know, there's some things
I got to figure out. But my fingers are crossed
that you know that is the endgame and I'm ready
for Saturday night. Nitro, Well, this is.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
An all aged, ticketed event and again tons of stars
are going to be there, and just talk about the
setup and the crowd. Like I said, this is all ages.
So about the seating and just how you get a
view it because it's a pretty unique experience. I mean,
I think about going out to the Excell Energy Center
or the Target Center seeing a Monday night Raw or
(04:27):
a SmackDown and just kind of viewing it from either
up above or even on the floor. Here, you get
kind of that silo view where you're looking down. It
must be pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
We refer to it as the coliseum. It really feels
it has a huge event feel to it. All four
levels are full of fans. This had been a long
gestating dream of mine and to see it become a
reality was really just a career highlight for me. The
fan engagement that you get in that atmosphere is unlike
(04:58):
anything I've seen. And I'll throw it to you for
what was your reaction stepping into that. You've wrestled so
many places, Yeah, but the first time you took the
stage there, how did that feel?
Speaker 5 (05:07):
I mean, wrestling in the rotunda, it's like, of course,
being here from Minnesota, the Marvel America is like a monument,
like you know, you know go there as a child,
but to step out in the curtain and kind of
just see all the fans there, It kind of just
takes your breath away, you know, seeing them kind of
just filling up to the ceiling and hearing the volume,
and you know, it's a moment that I hope continues
(05:27):
to happen year after year after year.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
So you got your start a couple of years ago.
So to get into a little bit of your background here,
talk us from the beginning as how you got your start,
just briefly, and how you've made your way to being
the former champ and chasing that belt once again. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Absolutely.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
You know, like a lot of other wrestlers, I started,
you know, being a fan watching on TV. You know,
my cousin got me into it. He had all of
the action figures, he had all the video games. But
it was never something that I really believed that, you know,
I could do, you know, being an openly gay you
know man wrestling. You know, we aren't really stars in wrestling.
It's not something you see. So in twenty twenty four,
(06:08):
you know, the platform the First Wrestling has given me
has really kind of just given me the confidence to
go for it. You know, I lost my Wrestling Blues
the championship early this month, so I know, next week
Saturday at night in Troe. I'm looking to get it
back and I'm just ready for it.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
While we're hanging with Chris grap from the Mall of
America and that was the voice of Demon Monroe from
First Wrestling, the former champion's looking to reclaim the belt.
We're talking about an event coming up a week from
today at the Mall of America, although a week the
day prior. They'll be the fan Fest at the Mall,
the fan on the fair on four. You got the
fair here Fair on four. Nice nice little code share there.
(06:47):
But no, it'll be it'll it'll be great, like you said,
the indoor go carts, the awesome food, They'll be a
ton of wrestling superstars from First Wrestling and also from
just the world of wrestling. And again this is an
all aged ticket event. Drawing back on the events from
the last couple of years, what really kind of stood
out to you that you're looking forward to seeing seeing
(07:10):
this year again other than the fan interaction and is
there something that you can draw from one of the
last couple of shows that you held in the rotunda
that was a special occasion.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Absolutely, I guess I would just say first off for
people who aren't familiar with First Wrestling. This is a
homegrown Minnesota independent wrestling company that I believe is the
best in the business, and that is why we work
with them. They put forward an unbelievable product. As DeVaughn mentioned,
the first year we did it, there was a little
bit of uncertainty around it, but once you saw the
(07:40):
competition on display, it was unbelievable. One of my favorite
things from the last two years was we finished with
a main event with Lucidor match and Boyle Boy. Did
we need that height because the aerial moves they were
pulling off in there were it was like watching a
Marvel superhero battle in real life. It was amazing. So
(08:00):
for me, it's seeing people that I know, love and
trust in this business doing what they do best in
front of an audience, but also bringing in superstars of
yesterdayear and future talent, and it's all coming together in
this major event. It's a point of pride for me
to be able to showcase this with Mall of America.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Hey Brett here jumping in from the top rope. Here,
trying to conversation. I want to go back to kind
of your upbringing of training. Because I was gonna go
comment on the bit and say I've been doing it a
high level long time. I took one bit of my
life and then said, ah, I don't think that's for me.
I mean, it's probably a never ending process to get
(08:38):
to that finished product, even for the top of the
top guys. Yeah, but how hard of a process is
to make any progress on just getting better and working
at your craft, because it's not easy at all.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
I think, like anything, if you truly truly want success
and you truly truly want to see it due to
the end, you just have to put in the hard work,
you know. I say all the time people ask me,
you know, does this hurt in My honest answer is yes,
it does hurt, But like, hey, I love this, confirmed,
I love this, I know the success that I want
for this, and I'm gonna keep fighting for this no
(09:09):
matter how much it hurts. And I think you know,
when you truly want something, you just got to fight
for it.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
That's what I'll say. Talking about the progression watching Devon
especially over the last few years grow there was a
match we saw recently where he's up on the top rope.
I'm sure there's a name for this move. But he's
on the top rope with gringo. Loco jumps up, wraps
his legs around his head, it flips him off the
top rope and it's that doesn't seem possible, and yet
you did it, and you're.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Here gravity, You're here in one piece.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
You're here in one piece, and we're so much looking
forward to the show next week and our own Max
Fuller will be out there next week at the show
again at the Mall of America. Yeah, First Wrestling is
putting on their third annual Saturday night night Throw at
the Mall of America. It's gonna feature topping ring performance
like you heard here Devon Monroe, including international stars and
(10:00):
First Wrestling fan favorites. The day before, there'll be a
fan fest out at the Mall of America. Again, guys,
I can't thank you both enough for joining us and
previewing the event, and again, any more details you want
to give the listeners out there before we say.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Goodbye, I just thank you for giving us the airspace
to share our passion too for this event. We see
how much the fans enjoy it. And again First Wrestling
puts on a great show and I expect nothing but
the best show we've ever done at Mall of America
next weekend.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
Absolutely, and we dub ourselves Minnesota's best cat secret. But
with the fan support, I feel like we've become the
hottest ticket in town. So I would love for you
guys ought to experience that.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Next week.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Folks, go out there and check out First Wrestling. That
was the voice of Demon Monroe and Chris Grapp from
the Mall of America and from First Wrestling. My name
is Robbie Rosenhouez here with Brett Blake Moore till two o'clock. Chris,
he had one more thing to say, precious few tickets.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
Remain available on Mallvamerica dot com. FanFest tickets and Level
three and Level four for the event.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Excellent, Thank you so much. I know there was a
bunch of different ticket options on the website. I know
there was one option that was sold out, but there
were other general admission and different things that you can
experience as you can have at the fan Fest two
day tickets and things of the like. Go to that
website at Malvamerica dot com and you'll find it right there.
My name is Robbie rosenauced here with Brett Blake Moore
(11:18):
on KFA until two o'clock. Here, we're gonna keep you
busy with some more fun and games here as we
had the first wrestling folks and the mall of America
here with us for the first segment. Coming up next,
I'm gonna have some special guests and two of my
favorite people in the whole wide world. No, not the
two mascots from the fair. It's Sam and Kaya from
K one on two. They're gonna come over and help
us with some fan family feud coming up next. Right here,
(11:40):
I'm KFA.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Welcome back to the Minnesota State Fair.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Robbie Rosenallis and Brett Blake Moore here waiting patiently for
our guest Sam and Kaya to join us. They're finishing
up with a bit of their own game, Generational Jeopardy
at the a K one h two booth. Brett, is
it a gorgeous day out here? Or what I mean?
We've had about.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
It's better in the shade.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
I don't know, Well, it is better in the shade.
It's also better in the back there when it where
there's air conditions. Correct, It's definitely one of the better
weather days that we've had, definitely out here at the fair.
I mean the first day we were out here, I
think we had thousands of ponchos that we got rid of.
Got rid of means sold. I mean the lines were
back to the French fry booth all.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
The way away. We had to put down the shutters
like three times.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yeah, yeah, woof wolf And today's good. Yeah, today's good. Though,
I think I think we're good with that. And uh,
I think we're certainly just enjoying the sunshine. But again,
before we get to Sam and KaiA, we're gonna we're
gonna get some people here to play some family feud
for this wonderful KFA and hat. We got some prizes
to give away. But before we get to that, I
wanted to bring up something with you, Brett today as
(13:05):
we as we kind of dive a little bit into football.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
This just came out.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yeah, this was an article that came out in the
Minnesota Star Tribune.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Justice was gonna come over here and kick your Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Well, the Strip booth is I think just adjacent to
us here, but just peck out you.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Look.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
We love well, we love Ben Gessling, though.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
He's I'm talking about the duck.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Well, the duck too.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
Yeah, yes, I crossed great tough man come after.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
The article was written by Mark Craig, who has been
on the station before, and it was about former head
coach Mike Zimmer and his time here in Minnesota and
how it did not end well. And basically he was
quoted as saying he's having fun again and and a
couple of the things that if you didn't read the article,
you should definitely go check it out, uh.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
In the Star Tribune.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
But things that I thought were very interesting to me
were the kind of the cousins thing and the dismantling
of the defense. Basically, he's back in Dallas right now,
working under his former NFC North rival to prove to
myself another NFC people and AFC people, I can still coach.
He's working under Mike McCarthy because when you get fired,
(14:15):
you think you're the worst in the world. Now, McCarthy's
asked what attracted him to Zimmer is the guy to
replace Dan Quinn, now head coach in Washington.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Why Zim?
Speaker 2 (14:22):
McCarthy said, shoot, why not?
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Zim?
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Frankly was a no brainer.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
So well, McCarthy made mince me to that defense a
time or two, So it is it is a little
puzzling why he would say no question to that, don't
you think? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (14:34):
I think so.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
I had to get the cheap shot, yeah, to get.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
The rim shot. But there was a lot that went
on late in that tenure though that certainly rubbed people
the wrong way.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Well, what's interesting to me too, is that you know
when the split happened and the Kendricks bit. We've talked
about a thousand times. Satan's out of the building, no
saying hello in the hallways, and now Zimmer's coming out,
and there's a ton of quotes that you're gonna get
to that he's basically saying, yeah, Now I'm I wasn't
the Satan in the building. Everyone else was. The relationship
was bad in the building. So it seems like a
(15:05):
lot of finger pointing and a lot of airing dirty laundry,
which is bad for PR. But it's great if you're
us and we need to talk about something, because that
is juicy. And I've read some of those quotes and
they caught my attention.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Yeah, And one of them was quote I was always
demanding of my players, and losing didn't make me happy?
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Was I too hard? One meeting towards the end of
twenty one, when.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Everyone's saying I was going to get fired, I pulled
everyone together and said, let's talk about the elephant in
the room, Fellas. What followed was Zimmer defending his record,
all the adversity he dealt with from AP's indictment five
days later and his victorious head coaching debut and teddy
Bridgwater's knee exploding and Zimmer's multiple eye surgeries, and the
speech basically left players dumbfounded. And I said, I can
(15:45):
take people shooting arrows at me. I'm a big boy.
If I get fired, I get fired. But you need
to go out and play, do good and do what
you're supposed to do. So the players came back at
him there, and they didn't really appreciate that. I think
it got really contentious and certainly didn't end well here
for Mike Zimmer.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
The writing was on the wall, and you could tell
that you know Zim towards the end when you know
the right and how can you blame him? By the way,
It's only a human being. But sometimes you wake up
when you have that writing on the wall with your
fists already up trying to defend and it seems like
there's a lot of that going on.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Yeah, and he was certainly hurt by some of the
comments they came out afterwards from players like Terrence Newman,
who he was cloth with basically kind of putting his
faith in players like that, and then him kind of
not being rewarded in the long run when they came
out and basically said things kind of fell apart. So
he was just one of them. But the main thing
(16:39):
was the Zimmer Spielman issue, and that was where they
barely spoke to each other the last year that Zimmer
was here and they haven't spoken since. Spielman has texted
him and Zimmer just hasn't responded. And it went back
to the draft and folks, if you remember, with four
third round picks, Spielman's selected in order Kellen Man, Chash,
(16:59):
serat At Davis, and Patrick Jones. There's only one guy
left with the team and that's Patrick Jones. And he said,
quote when I when he picked Bond, I walked out
of the room. I left the building. I didn't even talk.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
To him on the phone.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
How are you going to have a relationship there where
the GM and coach. Forget about being on the same page,
how about being in the same room.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Yeah, it's been fractured. We knew it was even before
this came out. We knew it was fractured in there, right,
It just had to be by the way it was ran,
by the comments from the former players and I think
some current players, the comments there where there's smoke, there's fire,
and now we're seeing, you know, the ashes of it
basically coming out in this. Yeah, the Spielman stuff was interesting. Yeah,
(17:43):
there's there's a lot of interesting nuggets in there.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Yeah, dude, tell and then and then and then the Cousins.
The Cousins thing also, I mean, he says, we're averaging
ten wins a year playing really good defense with some
other quarterbacks that warnt his talent, did his kirk. Then
we paid a lot of money and ended up having
to get rid of some guys on defense and weren't
able to get rid of the ones that we needed.
So the twenty nineteen team went to New Orleans and
(18:07):
got the win down there, and basically Zimmer said, I
had a year left on my contract and I screwed
up and won the game. McCarthy got the cowboy job
two days later, and everybody was saying at that time
how Zimmer was potentially going to get the cowboys job
as Jason Garrett was going to be out of a job.
But again, a lot of juicy stuff in that Mike
(18:28):
Zimmer interview. Will get to more of that, plus a
ton more coming up later in the show. We're here
till two Robbie Rosenhounced and Brett Blake Moore at the
Minnesota State Fair here on KFA and coming up next
my two friends Sam and Kaya from K one zero
two Morning show, Chris Carr and company. They'll join us
for some fan family feud, some fun and games coming
up next right here at the Minnesota State Fair. I'm Kfair.
(19:27):
Welcome back to the great Minnesota get together here in
Saint Paul. Robbie Rosenhaus and Brett Blake Moore here and
KFA n We just visited with First Wrestling's Devon Monroe
and also Chris Crab from the Mall of America as
they previewed next week's a big fan fest and big
event going on Saturday nightro coming up a week from today.
(19:51):
But right now, without further ado, I'd like to welcome
in two of my favorite people from the Chris Carr
in the Morning Show, Sam san Severe, and Kaya, how
are you hi?
Speaker 6 (20:04):
Thank you so much for having us out here at
the State Fair. We're so excited when you asked us
to join you the K Fan booth.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Yeah, I was trying to think of some people here
and we'll get to Fan Family Feud in just a
second here, but I wanted to bring in some celebrity
guests to help with Floris.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
Well, you I don't know. Listen, I don't see any
celebrities here right.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Now when I walk in the morning. You guys are
celebrities to me.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
Yeah, you're on K Fan Katie, Okay, all that, so
I don't know about that. You know, we are super
super excited when you asked us to do what we
were like, it was a no brainer. We wanted to be.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Here, yeah, and we wanted to have some funny games
out here. So let's kick it off with the fan
family feud. And Sam, you want to introduce our your
contestants here and your teammate and your yeah, and your teammates.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
I have an excellent team here put together for Fan
Family Feud here at the Minnesota State Fair. I've got
Ryan and his son Carter, So say.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
Hi, Ryan, Hey, how you doing?
Speaker 6 (21:02):
And this is Carter? Hi Carter?
Speaker 3 (21:04):
All right now? Is this is this an unfair advantage
because you have two teammates and Kyle you only have one.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
Okay, well, but we have been friends for a long time, Arena,
we did cross it together, so we are ready to
throw down today.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Are sore, but you're ready to play family feud.
Speaker 6 (21:22):
Well with Carter here, Carter, how old are you?
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Twelve?
Speaker 6 (21:27):
Twelve? So we're gonna win. I love that, all right,
we got it?
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Okay. So what we're gonna do here, folks, is we're
gonna have two different categories a piece, So we're gonna
have four different questions and to score a point, we're
gonna give Sam. You're gonna gonna give your team a category.
You're gonna try and get guess the top four or
five answers on the board. If you can't do that
before three strikes, we're gonna hand it over to Kay
and see if she can steal the point. I know
that was a lot of information, but get it started.
Speaker 6 (21:52):
I never surveyed, ever played family feuder.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
You know what, Kyle, let's start with your Let's start
with you on your team.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
We surveyed one hundred fairgoers, and the top five answers
are on the board. What's the first food you think
of when you think of the State Fair?
Speaker 6 (22:11):
Sweetmart? This cookie, Sweetmart the cookies?
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Yes, correct, that would be number one on the list. Okay,
next up, Pronto pops. Yes, that is correct, number two.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
On the list, Fronto pops.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Yeah, okay, Kaya trying to corn on the cop Number five.
Yes on the list.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
You're three for three.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Got to get number three and four here or else, Sam,
Ryan and Carter will have a chance to steal fried
pickles in correct. Not on the list, although one of
my favorites. I believe my partner did not make the
top five as I walked around overnight surveying one hundred
fair goers.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Anything else, anything else? Strike one? Yeah, yeah, only at
strike one. You can't.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
You have to more guesses. Pork chop on a stick? Incorrect,
that's two strikes. You have one more guys, I would.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Discuss your head incorrect.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Yeah, well that's yeah. That's for the people at the fair.
The people on the radio. If you didn't know, radio
is an audio medium. They can't see me. They can't
see me shaking my head. Oh, cheese curds is correct.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Can't we go?
Speaker 1 (23:24):
All right?
Speaker 3 (23:25):
So that's number three.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
One more chance here for number four corn dog. Well,
you said fronto popka incorrect. So that's three strikes. So
there is one that is missing, Sam, Ryan and Carter,
can you get it? To steal the point? What is
the one food the first food you think of when
you think of the State Fair?
Speaker 6 (23:47):
French fries?
Speaker 2 (23:48):
French fries? Is it on the list? Incorrect? The correct
answer was mini donuts. There's a ton of mini donut food.
Sound listen. I again, I surveyed one hundred people. I've
walked around in the rain in four ponchos. I surveyed
one hundred people, and that's what they came up with. Unfortunately, Sam,
(24:09):
you do not get the point. There. Kaya's team gets
the point. And now it is your turn. Sam, Ryan
and Carter. Your next question. Name an animal that gets Oh,
this is gonna be a good one for you, Carter,
Name an animal that gets a child excited the most
at the zoo. Name an animal that gets a child
the most excited at the zoo. The top five answers
(24:29):
are on the board. So give me an animal that
gets a child the most excited at the zoo.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Lions, lions.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
That is a correct answer. Number two excellence. Next up,
nice and a fist pump for sam. Okay, Next up,
name an animal that gets a child excited the most
at the zoo. Keep going, Sam until you hear the buzzer.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Monkey, monkey, number one on the list.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Yes, monkey and lion.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Get gone about zero rafts. That's right, excellent.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Number five on the list. You guys are three for three,
two more to go.
Speaker 6 (25:06):
Okay, so we're going for a top five, right, top five,
three more to go? All right? What are we thinking?
What do we think?
Speaker 2 (25:13):
What are you guys thinking?
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Name an animal?
Speaker 6 (25:16):
Zebras, zebras? No, what hate in the world?
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Listen? I surveyed one hundred people. Don't blame the hosts here.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
If the game was hey, that's possible, that would have
been a great answer. That would have been unbelievable. Bears, bears, No,
that's too also not on the list.
Speaker 6 (25:36):
All right, that's right, because I got another one about tigers.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Tigers, that's right, yes, absolutely, tigers. Third on the list.
One to go about animally gets a child? Child excited
the most at the zoo four the win and to
tie it up at.
Speaker 6 (25:52):
One, we got Carter has a guest pang legs.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
No, Kaya and Irena. Can you steal it?
Speaker 6 (26:04):
We're gonna go with elephants?
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Is it? So they steal the point?
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Whoa?
Speaker 2 (26:12):
How about that? So all five there, Kaya and Arena
steal the point and they go up to to nothing.
Next up, question question for you guys, food not fair
food because we did food before. Another food question though, okay,
tell me a breakfast food that tastes better crispy. Tell

If you're not getting them crispy, you're doing it wrong.
Speaker 3 (26:50):

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Oh? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (26:53):
You get that?
Speaker 1 (26:57):

Speaker 3 (26:57):
Come on home? Fries and hash brown soggy? No good?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Next up, name of breakfast food that tastes better crispy.
You're two for two so far, Kaya and Irena French toast.
Speaker 4 (27:06):

feudal accent, name of food, name of food, taste tastes
better crispy, Yes, although I'm not kissing everybody in the
lips like rich. Yeah. That was for him, so for me,
her breach is hitting the sounds from for the host.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Now go ahead, can.
Speaker 6 (27:50):
We do cereal?
Speaker 3 (27:51):

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Thea Hi and Iran not have now taken a three
nothing lead here luckily luckily for Sam, Ryan and Carter.
This next question is worth three points. Name a place
people might go for some peace and quiet. Name a
(28:16):
place people might go game a place peace and quiet.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Name a place people might go for some peace and quiet.
Speaker 6 (28:25):
The library, library, correct number one on the list. Next up,
how about a park apart.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Correct number three on the list.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Name a place people might go for some peace and quiet.
Outdoors outdoors, No, no, that that would be park. That
would be there there's a no, that's okay. No, you
gotta be a little specific there with outdoors. There's another
one on here that's outdoors. Got to be a little
(28:58):
more specific. Yeah, two there, and you got one strike
next up?
Speaker 6 (29:02):
All right, oh, all right.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Place people might go for some peace and quiet.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
We're thinking out here at the Minnesota States.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
It is not to stay fair because it's it's no,
that's not our.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
Guest to be clear.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
That was no, I got you.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Oh here, Bryan's Ryan's got one the bar, the bar, unfortunately,
not the bar, maybe the oxygen bar. All right, well,
next up, that's two strikes. You got one more, carter,
Do you have a you have a choice, your name
of place people might go for some peace.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
And quiet, their car for a long drive.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
Their car for incorrect kaya and arena. Can you get
one of them to steal the point or points.
Speaker 6 (29:45):
We're gonna go with.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
The bathroom bathroom is incorrect.
Speaker 6 (29:51):
Parents go to hide and their children.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
So the other's one hundred people the other three, Yeah,
the hundred people, not just I didn't I didn't correct
how I didn't serve me. I didn't survey one hundred
baby cows in the mirror. Uh, the three answers you
guys did not get were bedroom, church, and the beach.
(30:13):
The beach would be another one. Al Right, guys, you
guys have time for two more. Yeah, I'm alright, alright,
Here we go, all right, this time for yep, time
for two more. All right, here we go for Kaya
and Irena. Name a phrase. Top four answers on the board.
Name a phrase that begins with the word double. Name
a phrase that begins with the word double. Top four
(30:34):
answers on the board. Double blank, yep, Top four answers.
Speaker 6 (30:38):
Double trouble.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Double trouble is correct?
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Number one?
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Next up? Double blank?
Speaker 3 (30:46):
Double digits double digits.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Correct?
Speaker 3 (30:51):
No, correct digits incorrect?
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Who comes up with that? Double digits? That's you want
to talk about?
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Off the board. A double hitter?
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Double hitter. I don't know what that is?
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Oh sorry, yeah, incorrect?
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Strikes all right, Three more to go. Double blank. Name
a phrase that begins with the word double.
Speaker 6 (31:14):
Okay, we're gonna try with double header double header.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Good answer, but incorrect?
Speaker 3 (31:19):
No, good answer. I haven't been doing that. I need
to good answer.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Goody they yeah, good answer, all right, Sam, Ryan and Carter,
do you have an answer? Double blank?
Speaker 6 (31:29):
Can you tell me what was already just trouble?
Speaker 2 (31:32):
That's it? Oh what was already well, I guess no,
double digits, double trouble.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
Yeah, so the double was the only number one, the.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
Only correct one. Yep, three more answers on the board
here to steal double.
Speaker 6 (31:44):
Blank, Yes, indeed double blank my mind?
Speaker 3 (31:49):
Yeah, double play.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Double play yea double play correct?
Speaker 6 (31:55):
Alright.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
The other two on there were double jeopardy and double
dare Oh double yeah, yes double there.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
Now, as far as I know, that was worth. However
many points it takes to tie the game? Correct? Yes,
but now we actually have a tie game now, so funny.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
So we're down to the last question with the imagin points.
So now this last question goes to Sam, Ryan and
Carter for the win. Name a type of contest you
may enter at a state fair. Name top four answers
on the board. Name a type of contest you may
enter at a state fair A drawing, a drawing concert?
Speaker 6 (32:34):
Is that I mean answer?
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Answer?
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Oh? No, no, No, I meant I meant name like
a type of like a like a talent that you
would have to during the content. Yes, that's okay, okay,
So name a type of contest.
Speaker 6 (32:46):
Type of contest, so like the different competitions around fair.
Oh all right, okay, I gotta know how to reset,
now I do?
Speaker 2 (32:53):
There, we go?
Speaker 3 (32:54):
I do?
Speaker 6 (32:55):
Yes, Okay, I have to mentally reset a little bit,
because I could do this all day long. I've competed
at the State Fair in a lot of different.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Name type of contest you may enter at the State Fair,
horse show, horse answer, get answers? Is that on there?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
But again we're surveying.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
Okay, all right, she's gonna four H competition, four.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
H competition any kind We'll put that in the We'll
put that there. Yeah, well we'll put that in the
eating category, because there were some eating competitions.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
There with four H.
Speaker 6 (33:25):
Go to the eating category. Well, I guess you are
submitting pigs.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Yes, clearly. Yes, the rules are being bent as far
as humanly possible.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Okay, yes, go ahead.
Speaker 6 (33:33):
Next, Okay, the crop arts competition crop art.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Excuse I'm next, No, No, it's not on there. Next up?
You got two strikes?
Speaker 6 (33:44):
Oh no, I'm nervous.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
What do you think?
Speaker 6 (33:46):
All right, so our brains are swirling here.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
All right, folks, were name a type of contests you
may enter the State Fair? Two strikes for Sam.
Speaker 6 (33:56):
See, this is very broad because I'm wondering, do we mean, like, yeah,
like things that we submit do we mean.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
I just mean I would say generic being I would
I would say generic blank contest, Yeah, blank.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Contest not not specific contests to the Minnesota State Fair.
Speaker 6 (34:12):
Yeah, a wet t shirt contest.
Speaker 3 (34:15):
We were all thinking, we.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Were all thinking that, but no, that's incorrect.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
Kay, that's just swerved off the road.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Kay, and Irena, can.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
You come up with one.
Speaker 6 (34:23):
We're gonna go with the food contest, all right, there
we go contest.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Yeah, and in that Kaya and Irena you are declared
the winners. But we have prizes for everybody. Thank you
so much, guys, Just wait around until the commercial breaker
will come out there.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
Thank you so much. Again.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
That was our first and maybe only edition of Family Fear.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Perhaps did you have one, Brett, Well, I think you
know you may take up an Olympic sport as someone
who can just bend over backwards and touch their toes,
because that's about the amount of bending we had to
do to make that game competitive and to bend the rules.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
It was fun though.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
It's it's fun to play games like you know, they
have the initials game password they play. We're gonna play
another game next hour with you. Are you smarter than
the Packer fan? Brett is a huge Packer fan. If
you want to boog him at any point.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Today in the program, you're more than welcome to you.
You know what, the rude party people would just come
up to me and go, hey, Brett, Packers suck, and
then I just walk away. Yeah all right, and well
it's not nice, it's not necessarily true, but again, but
whatever makes them feel.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
But they're but they're allowed to say it.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
And yeah, it's the best.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
I think we've had a pretty action packed first hour here.
I mean we we had literally we had a couple
of guests on from the Mall of America, from First
Wrestling on. We just had Kayanne Sam join us for
again a game a fan family feud, and we were
talking about before the break about Mike Zimmer and the
article that was written in the Star Tribune. As we
pose for a quick picture here on the air, this
(35:53):
may be the first ever a picture probably not take
it on the air here as they as they take
a picture fan family feud game that just trusted up.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Trust me, that's been done before you know.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
What, you know it was another family feud. It was
Mike Zimmer and Rix Bielman. Thank you so much to
Sam and Kaya for joining us today as they go
back to play generational Jeopardy at the K one or two.
If you can see them until three o'clock over there,
you can see Brett and I here until two pm.
We'll have again some funny games coming up next hour.
We're gonna get into some Gophers and Badger's talk as well.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
The Badgers left me to dive into the Yeah, come
off of a two touchdown win over Western Michigan. They
didn't look like it well, and the Gophers come off
a heartbreaking loss.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Where did you like, mice it's a kick at the end?
Speaker 3 (36:37):
And did you like my sassy tweet during when it
looked like the Badgers were gonna lose? I just said,
bring on, Bama. I'm just inviting it right now. You
know why not?
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Pretty much? It was off the state of doom. Even
when you beat a team like Western Michigan, you still
can't feel great about it because no.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
It's stunk. Yeah, And thankfully I'm not as emotionally invested
in them if they would have lost yesterday. I wouldn't
have came here bitter and moaning. I would have been
like whatever. But now if Green Bay loses, now now
I'm better. Now, that's gonna ruin my whole week. That's
another story, which is which is a personal problem and
that and that comes up Friday night.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
And we've talked about that game endlessly here on the station,
whether it be with Dave Sinekin on Packer Preview, whether.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
It be in the Zone, whether it be you returning
this Sunday Packer Preview, Packer pre Way, Yes, coming up
today this Sunday, but this isn't the Packer Show.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
And that's that'll be for Friday night as they take
on the Eagles down in Brazil, which is just a
weird deal. Like we've talked about this numerous times where
you weren't sure how you were going to feel about this,
Still still on this game, Yeah, and uh it's it's
I like the first week being in a tough place
or being a tough opponent, because you've never know kind
(37:46):
of who you're gonna get. Like I remember being so
upset last year when Tampa Bay.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Came in here last and Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Yeah, and beat up beat the Vikings, US meeting the
Vikings in the first game of the year thinking that, oh,
we're gonna go on this run and we're gonna have
a huge year, and Cousins and and then tamp Bay
comes in here with Baker Mayfield. They end up going
to win the division.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
I was do you recall where you were when?
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Yeah, it wasn't that you were with me. Yeah, I
was with you.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
And I have never seen you as hopping mad as
that moment right there, that that loss was. Yeah, you
were not happy. You were not happy camp No.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
Because well again you wait, you wait eight nine months
for your team to play their first game in so long,
and yet they come out of the blocks at home
and loose. That's what happened this year.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
You know why is that right?
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Because they're going to New York and they're playing a
Giants team that is in the bottom five of the league.
And yes, they have a couple of players on defense,
but and they have that hotshot rookie no more Saquon,
They have Molik Neighbors, but they still have Daniel Jones
at quarterback. And I know he beat us in the
playoffs a couple of years ago. But it is not
the same Giants team, and it is certainly not the
same Viking defense that they trotted out there just a
(38:54):
couple of years ago.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Let me let me ask you this, Are you willing
to say, in front of all these people and everyone
listen on the roads and at home here we go,
that you are guaranteeing I, Robbie Rosenhaus are guaranteeing the
Vikings win week one? Are you gonna say that's all
these No? No, because I'm up. I am not running
an infomercial in nineteen ninety four. They want guarantee.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
I got two thumbs up there. I am not running
an infomercial from nineteen ninety four where I'm like Jim
Feist or Stu Feiner, where I'm advertising nine hundred numbers
and giving you a free, free, free, free, free call me.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
I talked about Will Reikert, I went, I went eight
and oh last week, I never lose.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
No, I'm not some scam decaffer that goes out there
and starts to make predictions.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
For for problem. You should have done it for the
content that would have been fun or for profit. No,
but not in this state. No, I do. I do
think that they are gonna win Week one. I know
that giant team like the back of my hand.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
The Vikings have other than forty one donut, which was
a bad memory twenty four years ago, the Vikings have
had a very very good history in that building, going
all the way back to nineteen ninety seven when they
want the ball went off Chris Calloway's hands and they
Eddie Murray threw the uprights forty one to fourteen against
Eli Manning. Four pick six is in one game. So
they've had quite a bit of success there other than
the forty one donut game against the Giants.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
You know what the secret weapon is? What's that? You'll
be in the building, Well, yeah, come, I will use cral.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
I will be in the building.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
You're gonna be there trying to get on NFL films again, Yes,
I will, And you're gonna be giving them your encouragement.
So that's what's gonna put this Vikings team over the top.
So think about it.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Adrian Peterson's rookie year breat just made reference to NFL films.
Thing they just happened to do.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
Tweet that out.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
They just happened to be Yeah, I will at some point, ok,
they just happened to be kind of going around with
the NFL films cameras in the Old Giant Stadium, which
is next door to the New MetLife which is where
the Giants and Jets play. And it was Adrian Peterson's
rookie year and Tabaris Jackson may he rest in Peace
was the quarterback. And I remember Adrian Peterson breaking off
this run. It's still on YouTube. You can go there.
(40:56):
Just check out his first preseason game and he pulls
off a run and I went, WHOA, this guy is
the real deal. Now that if I would have come
back from that preseason game and been on the radio
with you, then I would have been I would have
been it would have been like John Paul Jones, like
the British are coming. It would have been ap is coming,
and I would have it would have I would have
been just telling everybody that that running back was going
(41:17):
to be special, and he proved me right.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Can I tell the story too of the NFL films
bit because you because you were they they were just
panning around to fans and you were all decked out
as I get decked out too for my club. So
I'm not judging, but you basically speaking of pro wrestling.
We just had pro wrestling. On the first segment, you
were essentially cutting a Hulk Hogan esque promo two NFL
(41:40):
films which they used in the cut. That footage exists somewhere. Yes,
I'm dying for you to tweet it out for everyone.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
It was on an NFL network program.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
What were you even talking about?
Speaker 2 (41:50):
It was just just I was just talking about him
winning the Rookie of the Year. I was actually I
was actually in his jersey already, and I had gone
to the game and again against the Jets.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
And oh, by the way, Max wanted me. He didn't
he didn't text me. I'm gonna act like he did.
He wanted me to do this. Oh there we go.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
Okay, yeah, thank you. Yeah. Max will be out here
tomorrow joining Worth's case scenario again. Eleven to two. Brett
and I will be back out here at the fair.
We'll have a lot more fun. Max will be here.
I think Hayley Darling will be joining us as well,
and we'll have some fun for three hours tomorrow at
the fair. But right now we're here until the top
of next hour. Again, we're gonna play Are you smarter
(42:29):
than a Packer fan. Brett Blake Moore is gonna on somebody.
We're gonna take on some Rube.
Speaker 3 (42:33):
Some Viking fans, somebody who's going If there's any TENA
always puts like authors' names in there, or literature. If
there's any of that in there, I'm finished. Whoever is
taking me on is coing to beat me?
Speaker 2 (42:44):
Well, we got six different categories. Two questions in each category,
so twelve questions. But that'll be coming up later in
the program. We just finished up fan family Feud with
Sam and Kaya. That was a lot of fun. But
coming up next we're gonna talk more football again. We
talked some Vikings there. I want to talk some Gophers
and Badgers with Brett and get back to the Vikings
and the Packers in advance of their first two games
(43:06):
coming up Friday and Sunday next week. Brett Blake Moore
and Robbie Rosenhouse live here at the Minnesota State Fair.
We'll be here till two o'clock. Coming at you. Come
see us and say hi.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
Welcome back to the State Fair. It's Bread Blake Moore
and Robbie Rosenhouse with me. We're worst case snick. We're
filling in for Saturdays with Suck. We're just kind of
hanging out here at the State Fair. We do have
a good crowd with us here. We're gonna play are
You Smarter than a Packers Fan? Which I'm pumped about
because I need to redeem myself after the last time
we played that game.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
I listened back to it. Yeah, today's and you did
not do such a great job on last the last
version of our It's been a minute since we've done it,
and it's one of my favorite bits, even though it's
making fun of me.
Speaker 3 (43:59):
But that's just part of the bit. I mean, just
like the T shirts we're selling here at the kfan
booth and stay fair, you're getting ripped. That's just part
of the bit. You have to go with that, ye
pretty much? Yeah, especially if you root for the Packers. Yeah, yeah, correct,
well they exactly. So I'm like I said, the route party,
people just go and say Packers and walk away. I'm like, Okay,
what a good conversation. So one thing that you may
know about us is that we like something that not
(44:22):
a lot of people like. And I want to just
have an experiment here on the fan and we me
and Robbie. Are are big soccer guys. We're training Max
and to be a soccer guy too, you are, he's
coming along. We were talking about his team's game. So
I want to play a game. How long can we
talk about soccer before I get a text from chat
Abbott saying to move on?
Speaker 1 (44:41):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Really? Okay, So we're gonna I think. So we just
played family feud and now you're bringing in another game
show called beat the Clock? Is that yeah?
Speaker 3 (44:48):
Correct? Yeah, And we're just going to see how long
we can go. That's fair because I'm I'm willing to
bet it's going to be at least thirty seconds, okay,
and then maybe we'll see if Abbot, I mean, he's
paying attention, so he'll text us. Go ahead. Your squad
just lost, and your guy, Declan Rice got signed up
with the red card. Your thoughts, Yeah, well, the referees
gotta be more consistent, you know.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
Yeah, you're you know, give not given out yellow cards
in the first half and given out yellow cards in
the second half for just stupid things like kicking away the.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Ball and everyone in the booth thought it was a
red card.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
You Unfortunately, Declan Rice got sent off Arsenal draw.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
One one today at home, and that's big points you
dropp Yeah, that's the way the Premier League goes.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
You can't drop points at home against teams that you
expect to finish ahead of. And we'll see after the
international break whether or not they can rebound against your
squad which takes the pitch tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
So I'll tell you I'm gonna be here in the
booth early to watch my squad play at seventh Uh
uh wait what was that? Oh we got a text?
Speaker 2 (45:43):
Yeah that was how many seconds?
Speaker 3 (45:45):
It is about forty seconds?
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Forty seconds? Yeah, so forty seconds till we talk SoC.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
You know, I just had this huge thing planned out
where I was going to break down the matchup. I
was gonna go into the formations. I had everything prepared
for that.
Speaker 2 (45:57):
Well anyways, yeah, well, well, unfortunately we have to move
from football to football and moving to college college football
border battle. But today is kind of the big grand
opening of the college football season, and I know that
game day was I believe in Morgantown with Pat McAfee,
(46:18):
your guy Patman turning home.
Speaker 3 (46:20):
Yeah, so I believe in Dolphins.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
So they're playing Penn State today and I think three
people might get that reference to go ahead. Georgia takes
on Clemson's number one team against.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
Say that's my guy.
Speaker 2 (46:30):
Do you hear that against the against the fourteenth ranked
team back Georgia, Well there you go.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
Not from me.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
Georgia leads thirteen nothing against Clemson. Penn State right now
leads West Virginia twenty to six. So those are the
two big early games there before Miami will take on
Florida later and also Notre Dame will take on Texas
A and m Wisconsin. Last night, Brett oh sure a twenty.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
Eight to fourteen. I was going to start Gophers just
to make.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
Up since since the go since the Patricks played last night,
that's kind of fish on everybody's mind out. Yeah, so
let's spend a minute or two on them before we
dive more in depth into the golfers. Badgers last night
struggled to create explosive plays despite wasting. Despite facing a
Western Michigan defense that ranked ninetieth in the country last year,
allowing over four hundred yards a game, they had no
(47:16):
passing plays of over twenty yards. Sound familiar, They go
for many either, and Tyler Van Dyke averaged just five
yards in attempt, so he didn't get off to a
great start and the go and the Badgers, although they
got the win, it seemed like they were kind of
just going through the motions.
Speaker 3 (47:33):
Yeah, and that's that air raid offense for you. Right,
we're gonna go elite football. Mind here, that's the air
the high percentage passing plays, the five yards per passing attempt.
If I had to give Tyler Van Dyke, the Badger quarterback,
a letter grade, would probably be a B minus, maybe
C plus. They the problem wasn't that they couldn't move
the ball. They moved the ball plenty fine. They had
(47:53):
plenty of total yards of offense. They had long, sustained drives.
The problem was when they got into the red zone,
when they got you know, first and goal, they couldn't
break through and it took a targeting penalty, it took
a I believe a fumble in the red zone as well.
They had a couple of breaks that then they were
able to punch it through and actually score touchdown. So
(48:13):
and against Western Michigan, it is concerning. Do I think
that Tyler Van Dyke is going to be a total bust?
Speaker 2 (48:19):
No?
Speaker 3 (48:20):
Do I think he's gonna be great. No, this is
this is the state of the Badgers team right now.
They're they're average to slightly above average. Now here's the
you're ready for this college football cliche, Robbie, this is
a classic. I gotta hang on. There we go, we
gotta dust this one on the biggest improvement of college
football teams are between week one and week two. That's
(48:41):
that is a great cliche. Correct. Yeah, Well, I'm not
talking about Notre Dame touchdown Jesus so. I don't know
how he was on TV. I don't know either, red So.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
But Dick Clark used to do New Year's e Yeah.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
Oh yeah, gone now, but back to the back to
the batter so yeah. So, in a long, roundabout way,
if if the Batters come out next, I think they
have like South Dakota State next week, and then they
get Alabama at home, which I said, which I said,
bring on Bama jokingly, if they look if their offense
looks more competent, if they can actually score touchdowns without
(49:21):
the help of targeting calls, of lucky bounces of oh
it was a it was a muff punt where it
tipped off the guy's back. That's what it was, so
they got a couple lucky breaks which then gave them
the opportunities of get in the end zone. So if
they can improve just a little bit, they'll be alright.
That's that's really the ceiling for this Battery team. They'll
be alright, They'll they'll be okay.
Speaker 2 (49:39):
Pretty uh, pretty rare and quite alarming that they only
have three drives in the first.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
Half, well because they were long and sustainable, long effective
drive They just can't score.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
Sixteen play sixty three yard drive missed the thirty six
yard field goal, sixteen play ninety three yard drive and
nine yard rushing touchdown, and fourteen play sixty eight to
thirty three yard field goal. The Wisconsin offense, to me,
has has a lot of issues. And I like the quarterback.
It just he's and I like the coach. It's just
that they're there. They're gonna it's gonna take them a
while to get going.
Speaker 3 (50:12):
Tyler Van Dyke way more mobile in real life than
he is in the video game.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (50:16):
But one thing, one more football rant I tweeted about
this last night. No one cares. Why are we doing?
Is there any elite football mind that can tell me why?
Any pro I mean, maybe maybe our boss, Chad Abbat
offensive coordinator, can tell me. I hate the snap or
the clap cadence. It's so weird. It feels amateurish, like
when you see him like clapping for them, it just
(50:38):
looks Just give me some colors and numbers, man, give
me a normal cadence that feels professional, like if if
the pros are doing it, wouldn't you want to be
doing it. It feels like a like a pee wee
team would do the clap cadence. I don't know if
there's any football coaches at the fair today that can
explain to me, because I wouldn't say I wouldn't say
that I'm an elite football x's and o's mind. So
(50:58):
there's gotta be a reason why they're doing it. But
it's it's esthetically not pleasing to me that they do
the clopp are. Do you agree with me at all?
Or you just think I'm out in left field here?
It's weird looking. It looks wrong.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
We're gonna have to get some sort of center on
the worst case scenario, or somebody who maybe Matt Burker,
somebody can come on who's played.
Speaker 3 (51:18):
Smer and someone find out if Saint Thomas Academy does
a does a clap cadence.
Speaker 2 (51:22):
Or perhaps or perhaps we could ask our Feelers leader
Chad abbotb. Yes, he's the offensive coordinator for Saint Thomas Academy.
Speaker 3 (51:28):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (51:29):
Perhaps he would he would have some insights. I don't
like it into this, but again, yeah, the Wisconsin Badgers
get the job done. Who didn't get the job done
was Minnesota. Yeah, and the Gophers.
Speaker 4 (51:41):
Uh, it was.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
It was quite disappointing just the way the game played out.
It was sloppy, it was turnover layden, it was penalty layden.
It was just a game where they were stuck in
a malaise. And the end of the game, I think
JG put this best. J G, who again you all
know out there, does a fantastic job on the Golpher
(52:03):
radio network. He put us so succinctly, is that the
Gophers could have got out of this game by hook
or by crook, no matter what it is. But they
need it to get the win, and everything tastes better,
everything feels better. They could have just it didn't matter
how you look. And I know that's you mentioned an
old cliche before about you know, going from week one
(52:25):
to week two. Well, he kind of hinted at a
cliche there where it was just okay, get through it.
It doesn't matter how you look, doesn't matter how many
points you score, it doesn't matter what the opponent is.
To get that one in the win column, it just
means everything. And right now they're staring at h and one. Now, yes,
they get a couple of weaker opponents coming in Nevada
coming in a few weeks, but before that Rhode Island,
(52:46):
before they hit the teeth of the schedule, and Iowa
team that's good, that's not going to be happy after
last year. And then some of the big boys in
the Big Ten like Michigan, USC and Penn State. So
the Gophers the other night, Brett just a bit of
a disappointing effort.
Speaker 3 (53:00):
I've got a couple takeaways. Someone I want to rip
and someone I don't want to rip. Someone I don't
want to rip is Dragon Ksich, who is good guys,
played Initials. I've met him when he was playing Initials.
Good dude. I don't know if this is his call
or not, but it's something that I noticed that I
don't know, So if it's if this was his decision
that he wanted to be on the right hash, then
(53:21):
just discard everything I'm about to say for the next
thirty seconds to a minute. But if it wasn't, because
the Gophers were lined up right smack in the middle
of the field, right, and they run one more play,
they hurry up to get one more play with like
eight seconds left, and then you get a run to
the right to put him on the right hash meanwhile
or dragon Kessich. I can't say his name properly, but
(53:43):
you know what I'm talking about. Yes, miss is right, yeah, right,
so he's on the right hash left kicker misses right.
If it would have been in the middle. I mean,
this is simpleton football. This isn't x's and o's football.
It's just interesting to me that he wanted to be
further right and then he missed far right.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
If that was his call and he wanted to be
on the right hash.
Speaker 3 (54:02):
Then discard everything I'm saying. But it's something interesting. I
noticed one more thing for a jump in. Yeah, there
were so many times the Gophers were in the red
zone in with first and goal, second in goal where
it's just the most conservative play calling I've ever seen.
I mean, there was what a second in goal laid on.
(54:22):
They were on what the eleven or twelve draw up
the middle third and long third and goal draw up
the middle, like it's just have a little bit of faith.
I know it's new quarterback. I understand they're still trying
to learn. But if you're gonna just not pass the
ball at all, you have no confidence in him at all.
That's what it looked like to me. So I would rip.
(54:43):
I would not rip the kicker Kessige, and I would
rip PJ for that conservative place.
Speaker 2 (54:47):
No, absolutely, I think you hit the nail on the
head there. You know they ended the night four of
twelve on third down. Why because they were averaging over
eight yards to gain on third down and when you
have a passing attack that is a as feeble as
it was, especially in the first three quarters. You know,
Max got in a roofs fine in a rhythm there late.
But again that big holding call on Tyler Cooper. Yeah,
(55:09):
on a big markets major run that was in the
games winning moments. Major was past them already, there was
no need to hold there. And instead of first and
ten inside the twenty of North Carolina, the Gophers got
the ball backed up outside of the forty so that
was about a twenty five yard field position change and
that kind of did them in there. Albeit the field
goal miss was the dagger. That penalty was certainly a
(55:31):
big part of why they lost the game.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
Can we talk about what went viral? Yeah, so at
the end the end of the game, I mean, like,
I don't want to. I don't mean, I don't like
that's a mistake, surely, right.
Speaker 2 (55:44):
I mean, blank happens. You know, it's just stuff happens
or else.
Speaker 3 (55:49):
We're really excited about almost feeding North Carolina and you
move on. No, I don't think that that was supposed
to I don't think so either. No, And you know what,
to North Carolina is a power for school. It's not
like like Western almost losing to Western Michigan, I think
is a bigger than maybe actually losing to North Carolina,
who is not an awful school. It's still a power
(56:10):
for a school. For Western Michigan is involved in Maction
and I don't know, uh, competing with Maction schools week
one is not not my favorite thing in the world.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
No, and Wisconsin Minnesota will play late in the season. Again,
I kind of like that Brett that I liked it.
They play Thanksgiving weekend and that's kind of been a
deal now for a while. I know last year I
think they played on the Friday, right, is that correct?
Speaker 3 (56:32):
I think there isn't it. This year they're moving it
to the Oh did they move it to Friday?
Speaker 1 (56:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (56:36):
Year? Okay, either one.
Speaker 3 (56:37):
I don't semantics.
Speaker 2 (56:38):
I don't mind it. I like the game towards the
end of the year. It's kind of a nice bow
on the season. It makes it which can be trying
at times for both squads.
Speaker 3 (56:47):
It makes it better when it's snowing and it's late
on because like the other game I grew up watching,
even though I'm not a fan of either school is
Iowa Iowa State. I think it's one of the most
underrated college football rivalries in the nation. Awesome, whole state
shuts down. It's the best. But that happens like Week three.
You know, that's always happens early, Yes, it does. So
when I so, why is that? I I don't. It's
(57:08):
just because that's the non conference and that's how it
has to be. So, you know, with the SEC and
and even Wisconsin Minnesota they do the rivalry game like
it's a planned week for it near the end of
the season. So it's just different. But but I'm almost
trained to have that rivalry game, like right off the hop.
I think it's even next week Iowa Iowa status. Yeah,
(57:30):
I believe so. Yeah, it's usually Matt Campbell's squad. If you, uh,
if you want to drive to any border to put
down some futures, I would recommend putting some some dollars
on highway State. They're they're gonna be good.
Speaker 2 (57:44):
No, I hey, listen, I like Matt. Matt Campbell has
floated with going to the U the NFL and certainly
has done a good job by the last couple of
years against Iowahawk eyes. All right, we talked Vikings, we
talked Packers just a little bit. We're gonna talk more
Packers and a little when we play. Are you smarter
than a Packers fan? We obviously just talked golfers and Badgers. There.
(58:05):
That was the voice of Brett Blake Moore. My name
is who the hell is Robbie Rosenhales. We're here at
the Minnesota State Fair. As I can see the fried
olives and smell the mini donuts in the air. We're
gonna take a break here. Come back. We're gonna talk
some more football, including some over unders that Brett and
I put together, and perhaps some things that you can
take advantage in a jurisdiction that allows.
Speaker 3 (58:24):
You to do so.
Speaker 2 (58:25):
Robbie Rosenhales and Brett Blake Moore here until two.
Speaker 4 (58:28):
On the.
Speaker 3 (59:03):
Welcome back Brett Blakemore and Robbie Rosehouse here at the fair,
looking at people just taking shade right now, just trying
to get out of beautiful. I mean, the shade is
beautiful too.
Speaker 2 (59:12):
The sun's great too, but the ship.
Speaker 3 (59:13):
I mean, it's it's it's definitely the nicest day of
the fair so far. It is, and it's not sweltering.
We can talk about the weather all day long.
Speaker 2 (59:20):
I've been out here. This is I think my fifth
or sixth day out here at the fair, and this
is by far and away the best weather day that
we've had out here. It's got to be seventy something
degrees and partly certainly yep, it's about eighty degrees and
sunny out and it is just gorgeous.
Speaker 3 (59:36):
Yeah, it is here. Let's let's get into this because
I wrote out believe it or not, I wrote out
a whole segment.
Speaker 2 (59:41):
Oh you did, I did wrote it out.
Speaker 3 (59:42):
So so I wanted to talk more NFL. And so
I've got a bunch of over unders. Most of them
I made up. Most made up. Yeah, this isn't official
Vegas odds. These are, you know, the the BPI odds,
the Blakemore Power Index, those odds as well. Some of
them are real different than the b m I, which
is that correct index, which I do not have much
(01:00:05):
as we found out on Bumper to Pumper the other time,
and I have plenty. So so I'll just start here
with more of a serious one is a Vikings talker. Yeah,
Aaron Jones active games this season in twenty twenty four.
I have set the BPI has set the over under
at twelve and a half games. Robbie, your thoughts would
you take the over the under?
Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
I'll take the over because I think he's he's left
his injury troubles in Green courts.
Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
Yeah, because I think playing on the what happens in
Green Day with injuries days.
Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
Of lambeau Field.
Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
It's a thing.
Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
It's a thing with running backs in Green Bay.
Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
I mean you had a j I mean, oh come on,
I mean too soon, too soon?
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
What do you mean too soon? Guys out for the year,
and he'll be taking a year long vacation and you know,
go and go and cheer on the team from the sidelines.
So in a hoodie, I wasn't making fun of him.
He's a good player and actually a very good human being,
and he's just but Aaron Jones I believe will play
more than that and will be a very very effective
player for the Minnesota Vikings. Which leads me to my
(01:01:06):
first over, which is over six and a half wins
for the Vikings. Well, of course, I just don't understand,
and I don't want to save this for last because
I just want to get this out of the way
right now and just give you my kind of quick
rant on why I think they're going to be good
this year. You look at the additions on the defensive
side of the ball, and despite them losing daneil Hunter,
(01:01:26):
the fact that they added Gilmour and Grenard and Van
Ginkel and the draft picks and pace in his second year,
I think this defense is going to take a big,
big step forward, and they are going to have to
in a division that is loaded with talented teams.
Speaker 3 (01:01:41):
Including yours.
Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
I do think though, they're gonna get off to a
one to zero start and they're gonna win more than
six and a half games, So that would be my
first over.
Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
Yet, you want to guarantee this crowd that they win
week one, Well.
Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
I'm not gonna put them on because I don't want
to put myself on record and doing that.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
Because we want a bit of Vikings guarantee that they're
gonna win week one. Tell the Vikings are there, die
their baby birds in the nest. Please, Robbie, give us
a guarantee.
Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
The only thing the Giant fans are walking out of
there with on Sunday is their tail between their legs.
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Wow, okay, Vicious, that's what thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
We want you people people clapping out there.
Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
Here's another over under I have for you now, So
Aaron Jones, you say, over yea twelve and a half
games in twenty twenty four the NFL season, the amount
of postgame Kirk Cousins chains videos where you'll see online
that he's wearing the chains celebrating a victory. The BPI
has the line set at six and a half for
the season. Your thoughts over or under? I think you
(01:02:37):
gotta go over. I think that Falcon scene is gonna
be good, and they're gonna bring the Kirk oat chains
down there. You gotta believe.
Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Oh, I think so in a city like Atlanta where yeah,
where the players play and they ride on them things
like every day, yes or correct, And I think Kirk
Cousins absolutely will have a nice season for them down there.
Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
And I'll go over with that prediction. Kirk o chains. Yeah,
I think let's do it. Let's do an actual one.
This is a real line, by the way. The other
two I made up these are This is a real
Vegas line. You're gonna love this, Sam Donald interceptions for
the twenty twenty four season. The real lifeline that Vegas
has is twelve and a half for the whole season.
(01:03:15):
Twelve and a half interceptions in Sam Donald, Why are
you saying under Robbie.
Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Ab Bes, I just think he's he's in the best
situation he's been in his entire career, college, pro or otherwise.
Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
And I like, I didn't even give you an option there.
Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
Yeah, he's got supreme talent, and he's under a coach
that clearly knows what he's doing at the quarterback position.
He was what himself, and he got the most out
of guys like Josh Dobbs and Nick Mullens last year.
And Donald's a former top five pick. Those guys dream
of being top five picks. So I believe in the
talent of Sam Donald. I think he got a raw
deal when he was with New York. The Jets are
(01:03:49):
one of the most dysfunctional organizations, not only in the
NFL but in sports. They have your former quarterback there
this year, and don't get anything wrong, he is the
one that runs.
Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
The show now.
Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
Joe Douglas, Whatdy Johnson and Aaron Rodgers are the two
most important people in that organization. And I think the
Jets actually are gonna have a decent year because they've
accumulated a lot of talent. But again, I just don't
I don't see why Sam Donald won't have a good
year this year.
Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
So what you're saying is get ready to clap me.
You believe and Sam Donald.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Yes, I believe in Sam Donald.
Speaker 3 (01:04:21):
Absolutely. Here's one that I the BPI has given the
over under four. I think this is brilliant. How many
in the twenty twenty four NFL season, how many times
will the broadcast cut to Taylor Swift in the crowd
for the entire season. I've got the over under at
one hundred and seventy and a half, so that's averages
(01:04:41):
about ten cuts per game to Taylor Swift in the crowd.
I think that's a brilliant line. I would go and
bet the over on that every day of the week.
Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
Now we're talking over the air, we're talking streaming. Are
we talking like video? Any broad any platform?
Speaker 3 (01:04:56):
They cut to Taylor Swift reacting to Kelsey anything, Yeah,
or maybe she's distraught because the Chiefs are gonna be bad.
Speaker 2 (01:05:04):
Who knows?
Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
Just cuts to Taylor Swift total for the season one
and seventy and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
I'll absolutely say the over because I am or the Yeah.
I think the Chiefs are going to be right in
the mix there, and she is the most popular figure
in the world, so why wouldn't they show her more
on TV? So I think absolutely an over, And like
I gave you the Vikings over, I gave you the
Jets over as well. I think that nine and a
half number in Vegas terms is too low. I think
(01:05:31):
the Jets are going to win that division and also
win double digits behind Aaron Rodgers and a very talented roster.
And I'm no Jet fan growing up or anything like that.
I just think they're a supremely talented team, and I
think in that division the Bills will take a step back.
Miami still has a couple of problems on defense, and
the Patriots maybe one of the worst teams in the league.
So I'm a big believer in the Jets this year,
and I think they're gonna win ten or eleven games.
Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
Funny you mentioned that because one of the real lines
that I have just a handful of them. This is
a real line, not one that I just made up.
Aaron Rodgers come back player of the year. This is
not an over under. This is just odds right minus
one seventy five. Yeah, I love hammer that.
Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
I love it. Yeah, I absolutely love it. I mean,
I can't think of other than perhaps a Deshaun Watson.
Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
Or Joe Burrow.
Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
Those would be the other two that I would think
of in that category. But I think Rogers is almost
a shoeing for that. As long as the Jets have
a good year, which I think they will.
Speaker 3 (01:06:24):
There's a BPI line here. Times Robbie falls asleep on
the couch during the Sunday slates for the twenty twenty
fourth season. I've got it at thirteen and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
Well, that'll depend on how much Chinese food I order. Okay,
because Chinese food on Sundays is a staple of the
Robbie Die when he's not working Viking games, when he's
home on his couch, Chinese food is the cuisine of choice.
Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
And that's when you don't invite me.
Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
Robbie Roses, Yeah, because you don't like Chinese food.
Speaker 3 (01:06:50):
I don't like food in general. So again, I sit
on the couch next to General So and the two
of us have everyone knows General's house chicken.
Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
Yes, the two of us have a meeting and we
dine over so some delicious chicken that he prepared.
Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
Okay, I have another real over under, not a fabricated one.
This I cannot believe is a real number. And you
can go to any casino of your choice outside these
borders and put money down on this right now. You
can justin Jefferson Jets not JJ total receiving touchdowns for
the season. The line is seven and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
How is that not over?
Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
I'm don't walk run and put money on that over.
I don't care whose quarterback. I don't care if it's
Jaron Hall, I don't care if it's Mullins, if it's
if it's Darnald. If JJ makes a miraculous recovery, I
don't care who it is, which he literally can because
he's out for the year. The point is doesn't matter
who's throwing the ball. JJ Jets is getting his. Yeah,
and seven and a half is ridiculous. That's a real
(01:07:45):
line that I found out. That's not a made up one. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
No, I think you're absolutely right there, Brett. I think
that seven is way way too low a number. And
I think he's gonna again have a monster season even
without the services of TJ Hawkinson in the first month
of the season. Yeah, and perhaps some new breaking in
of Jalen Naylor in the system, although he's hit the
(01:08:09):
ground running in training camp this year. Christian Jackson and
Brandon Powell making up the rest of that wide receiver room,
I just see JJ taking a bulk of the targets
and taking a bulk of those touchdowns, and I'm going
to hammer that over as well.
Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
Now, this is a VPI line here, And I wonder
if we have any twins fans that are hanging out
because you weren't expecting Twins in the NFL. Oh, I
was in a segment, but I came up with this
and I'm pretty happy with it. Who wins more games
in the month of October? Is it the Minnesota Vikings
or the Minnesota Twins. Now, keep in mind that in
the month of October, the Vikings have the Jets in London,
(01:08:45):
Lions at home and on the road in LA to
take the Rams. Meanwhile, the Twins have to get into
the playoffs and then we can talk about who they're
playing October. So I think this I've got it as
a pick them this line here, the BPI has it
as a pick them.
Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
Well, if it thoughts if Pablo Lopez pitches like he
did last night. I was at the game against the
Blue Jays day tons of Blue Jays fans in the building,
by the way, is I guess. Went with a college
buddy of mine, and he was telling me last night
that every time the Blue Jays come in and it's
once a year, just like the Yankees and the Red
Sox come in once and once a year, they'll there'll
(01:09:20):
be a ton of away fans for that team. And
I didn't realize that the Blue Jays fans traveled so
much and they were there last night. But you know
what they got, They got a big goose egg. Pablo
Lopez went into the eighth inning, Griffin Jacks came in,
and then Johann Duran came up and cleaned up the
ninth to nothing. Twins win, staying just a couple of
games behind Cleveland for first place in the division. Royals
(01:09:43):
right there as well, So we hope the Twins make
the playoffs. I think the Twins are going to make
the playoffs. So that I will I will not.
Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
I will not answer, Oh, come on, come on, you
can't back out of that. Well, you wouldn't guarantee the win.
So at least answer who wins more games October, the
Minnesota Vikings or Minnesota Twins.
Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
I'll say they're gonna win an equal amount.
Speaker 3 (01:10:03):
For Oh, come on about that? That is such a
copy again, the.
Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
The the Twins are are up against it. When you
know they're they're obviously battling on two fronts here against
the Indians and Indians against the Guardians. I should put
something in the jar for that against the Guardians and Royals.
U in the division and also in the Wildcard, the
Red Sox aren't too far back. I do think though,
that they're gonna have enough pitching and uh to come through.
Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
And to and to make it so.
Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
But I'm not gonna answer that question because I don't
I don't know what the injury situation is going to
be like for the Vikings in October. I don't know
when TJ is coming back. But I think the Vikings
gonna win all their games in October, and I think
so will the Twins have.
Speaker 3 (01:10:41):
All of their games?
Speaker 5 (01:10:41):
Yea?
Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
How about that?
Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
Being so the Twins are going on the World Series?
Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
How about yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:10:46):
I also I also got a text saying with all
the road games, the wild might be in the mix
for that as well. Oh wow, that's not great. No,
there's a lot of road games to start this way
if they get off to a bad start or in
trump the Wild.
Speaker 2 (01:11:01):
Yeah, a lot of road games for the while.
Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
Let's see here, here's one that I like. The BPI
line failed fourth down conversions for the Detroit Lions over
the course of the twenty twenty four season. The BPI
has the line at five and a half. Now, look,
I'm just basically using this as a vehicle to say
I don't trust Dan Campbell, and I think the only
reason the I mean, the Packers looked really good against
them last year in Detroit, but a lot of that
(01:11:26):
was because of Dan Campbell. It's the anti PJ. Fleck, right,
He's really going forward. He's going for it when he
really shouldn't be going for it. He doesn't know what
a field goal is. Some people love that. I probably
would be okay with it if it was on my team,
but it's not, so I'm gonna rip it. I think
that's gonna be a recurring problem for Detroit over aggressiveness
when they really shouldn't be. I've got the over under
(01:11:46):
five and.
Speaker 2 (01:11:46):
A half and I'll go over with that, but I
will go under with the Lions, as you segue into
my under here with the Lions minus well minus under
ten and a half. I don't think in this division
where the Bears are going to be better, the Viking's
going to be better, the Packers are going to be better.
The Lions. I don't think you're gonna win twelve or
thirteen games like they did last year. And I understand
(01:12:10):
that they're one of the younger teams, and they certainly
have a ton of talent, especially on both lines, and
just don't believe in the coach. I don't believe in
the quarterback. I know that they got the NFC Championship
game last year. I kept calling them frauds the entire
season last season, and again they proved me wrong when
they came in here on Christmas Eve and ended up
(01:12:32):
beating Nick Mullins and the Vikings to take the division
in our building, where if the Vikings would have won
those last three games and the Lions would have lost
those last three, which were two against the Vikings one
against the Cowboys, the Vikings had that game against the
Packers in between, which they unceremoniously lost, but correct the
division was still in the grass then and that game
came down to the wire where Mullens threw a pick
(01:12:52):
at the goal line in the final seconds that passed
that was intended for JJ. The Lions to me are
a good team, but not a great team. That's why
I do not see them winning twelve or thirteen games
this year. I think they're gonna only win eight or
nine and potentially be a wild car.
Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
So you're basically saying the Vikings winning Division. That's what
I'm That's why I'm hearing. Yeah, uh huh, okay, that's right.
I'm just I'm just ripping it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:13):
You know. No, that's fine. Well, we have some wonderful
you're getting ripped t Yes, I'm ready to wear one
at the KFA and Shack. You're getting ripped T shirts,
Power Trip t shirts, tons of fan merchandise and you
can come get it here at to Stay Fair over
the next couple of days as we close up shop
on Monday.
Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
It's been a pleasure to be out here today with you, Britt.
Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
Absolutely, I've got a couple more for it. Yeah, please
do this one. I'm really proud of. How many times
in the twenty twenty four NFL season will the Cowboys
be featured on America's Game of the Week. The BPI
has it at eight and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:13:47):
Now, wait a second, we got a text message from
Chad ad before. I just got one from Kevin Burkhart,
the the lead voice on on Fox. You know what, Yeah,
I should get a ding view really yeah, I really
get a ding for that because he was on Worst
Case Scenario just a couple of weeks ago, joined us
in studio and previewed the season, and he thought that
(01:14:08):
Sam Darnold was gonna have a great season, say it
monster season, thank you. He also enjoyed your quarterback as
well and thought Jordan Love would have a great season
yep as well. The one team he did not was
not high on was the team that you just mentioned
on America's Game of the Week, the Cowboys. He thought
that they were going to underachieve to what their excuse
(01:14:31):
what there they got it done to be Yeah, and
CD's paid, Dack's in there. They still have Micah Parsons
on defense, one of the best old lines in the
in the sport, and some and some playmakers on both
sides of the ball, including the aforementioned Lamb. The Cowboys
will be in the mix, but I don't see them
winning eleven or twelve games. Just like the Lions. I
think both of those teams are going to be wild
(01:14:51):
cards this year. I think the Cowboys after winning the
division last year and the Lions after winning the division
will take both take steps back and be wild cards.
Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
But here's the thing, it doesn't matter if the Cowboys
are doing well doing poorly, They're going to be feature
on America eight and a half. I like that that line.
The BPI has an eight and a half. I think
they're gonna be featured. I bet right now if you
turn on ESPN, they are talking about Dak Prescott and
the contract situation. Whether or not they can figure that out.
(01:15:18):
I guarantee or Lebron one.
Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
Of the two America's Game of the Week. I think
that's a Fox was gonna say, if you want to
encompass them with the Sunday Night and Monday night games,
then we're really over. Then you can hammer the over
because every two out of every three Cowboy games are
on national TV.
Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
Listen, they're They're America's team for a reason.
Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
They're the most overrated team in sports other than the
New York Yankees because of their massive peal Notre Dame. Well, listen,
the Yankees have won one World Series since two thousand
and and the Cowboys have won one.
Speaker 3 (01:15:50):
You love saying that, Yeah, well, yeah, well.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Considering they won four and five years when I was
growing up, I'm allowed to say they've won one and twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
Five of it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
Okay, yeah, so, and the Cowboys don't sympathize. The Cowboys
have won one playoff game this century. And they came
in here in O nine with Tony Romo and they
and they, they went back with more than their tails
between their legs.
Speaker 3 (01:16:09):
The Packers have more playoff victories and Cowboys Stadium than
the Cowboys do. I mean, yeah, come on or undefeated
in that building.
Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
Yeah, the Cowboys to me are so easy to root against.
It's just I mean, and and Dak Dax seems like
a nice guy. But Jerry Jones, I mean, unless you're
a Cowboy friend. Your guy Mike McCarthy, I mean, just
making stupid decisions towards the end of his Packer tenure.
There you must have been pulling your hair out, just
just just just well, you got air in your head
(01:16:35):
when yeah party come on with Carthy was the coach.
But but back to the over unders. Yeah, I like
the Cowboys and and uh under this.
Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
Year, here's a here's a real one. This is my
last real line before I just have all made up ones.
There is a real line. These aren't even the odds.
But I wrote down the top three uh for interception
leaders in the NFL. Okay, so individual individual, So who will,
according to Vegas throw the most interceptions in the NFL
(01:17:03):
in the twenty twenty four season. I've got the top
three answers on the board. Do I pull up the
family feud bit at this point? Imprompt imprompt two game?
Can you name him? Can I the answers on the board?
Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
Can I name Jameis Winston? No, he's not starting, although
he would be in the mix if.
Speaker 3 (01:17:20):
He was starting. Top three quarterback interceptions? You need hints?
Do you want to just start firing them out? Get unlimited?
Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
Well, I'm gonna I'm gonna go with some rookie quarterbacks,
So Jake, I wouldn't You wouldn't go, I would not
do that.
Speaker 3 (01:17:34):
I mean Kyler Murray incorrect. I'll give you Number three
is Sam Sam darn I wants that number three.
Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
They think he's gonna throw all these interceptions, that's right. Well, again,
they throw the ball more than almost any team in
the league, if not more than any team in the league.
So I can see that being in the mix just
for the sheer volume of passes that Sam darr is
gonna throw, not so much for his inefficiency, more as
the volume aspect of it.
Speaker 3 (01:18:06):
From a betting standpoint. Number two is in the NFC West.
Speaker 2 (01:18:11):
Matthew Stafford no genos, so that that would be another one.
He is a bomb.
Speaker 3 (01:18:18):
I just I don't know how he still starts in
the league at this point.
Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
Speaking of West Virginia, there's a guy who came out
of West Virginia, Yeah, Mountain Mama, and he went to
the Jets flamed out there, had like two or three
really good games won against the Falcons on a Monday
night one against the Dolphins, uh late late in the
season under Rex Ryan and he, you know, Pete Carroll
made it work there and he's kind of pulled the
wall over the Seahawks eyes.
Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
I just don't see him being a good quarterback.
Speaker 2 (01:18:46):
I actually like Drew Locke more than him. I know
people are out there yelling and screaming at me saying,
why do you like a guy from Missouri over a guy? Well,
I I I believe he's the backup with the Giants
at this point, so again, and Giant fans maybe calling
for him sooner than later because Daniel Jones after the
Vikings go to New York and thrash them, and that
(01:19:07):
are I don't know about Thrash that okay, Sorry, James James.
Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
Thrash was a player at Charge knows. The Vegas favorite
to lead the league in interceptions has not stunned me.
But it is surprising because I would probably list him
as a top five quarterback in the league. But he's
the favorite out of the Buffalo Bills. Josh.
Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
Yeah, Well he's a good thing about it. He's like
your old guy number four. Yeah, who would lead the
league in interceptions and throw a million touchdown passes. Eli
Manning did the same thing through one hundred million interceptions,
but through the touchdown passes when they mattered the most.
Speaker 3 (01:19:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:19:44):
I mean, but he's good. I like, I like you.
I like Josh Allen a lot too. Yeah done, No,
he hasn't.
Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
But he's a good quarterback man and there's a lot
of doubters with that.
Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
He had.
Speaker 3 (01:19:54):
Bill's team like him. Here's the thing, not I love him,
but I like him.
Speaker 2 (01:19:57):
Go ahead. Here's the thing with Josh. I I don't
like his decision making late in games, especially especially that
is a problem, especially in the fans, especially in.
Speaker 3 (01:20:08):
The red zone.
Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
Sometimes he'll throw it when he should run. Sometimes he'll
run when he should throw. I just I just think
sooner or later it'll click for him. I mean, he's
got too much talent not to win on a big level.
I know they've been to the AFC Championship Game, they
have not gotten to the super Bowl with Josh Allen.
They've run into the Chiefs and every now and then
a team like that, like the Bills, who are upper
echelon with an upper echelon quarterback, although they may maybe
(01:20:31):
taking a step back this year, Brett, because they've lost
a ton of guys in free agency, including for Davius
White and some other guys on the offensive side of
the ball. So the Bills may be taking a step back,
which is why I thought that the Jets would take
a step forward this year, and I would hammer that over.
Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
We got time for one more, Time for one more, Yes,
time for one more. There's a BPI one so not
official line the amount of times in the twenty twenty
four NFL season that Tony Romo correctly predicts a play
call on commentary. I've got the line of fifteen and unlimited.
Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
I would unlimited, I would, I would empty my entire
bank account on Tony Romo getting predictions correctly.
Speaker 4 (01:21:07):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
For those of you out there that don't enjoy Tony Romo,
I don't know what.
Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
To tell you.
Speaker 2 (01:21:11):
I think I think he's a breath of fresh air.
I know that he can be polarizing, but I really
enjoy him on the coverage. I'm just so used to
listening to Jim nance.
Speaker 3 (01:21:22):
Well, you have to say, if you're gonna if we're
gonna talk Tony Row, you have to say, here we go, Jim.
That's he have to.
Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
I just I enjoy it, and some people compare him
to I forget the character from Dodgeball, the guy who
was who was sitting there on the on the set.
Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
Yeah, no, not white Chuck Norris.
Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
No, not Chuck Norris, the the the broadcaster who has
his arms Pepper Brook, pepper Brooks, pepper Brook, pepper Brooks.
Speaker 3 (01:21:46):
Ye pepper needs new shorts.
Speaker 2 (01:21:47):
Yeah exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:21:48):
I couldn't think of his name. Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
If you're a great co host, Yeah, he's.
Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
He's definitely not pepper Brooks. I wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
I wouldn't say that Tony Romo is Pepper Brooks. I
enjoy him on the games, although it's.
Speaker 3 (01:22:00):
It's a fold strategy.
Speaker 2 (01:22:01):
I don't get to you don't get to hear him
on Viking Games is I'm usually there or working it,
so I do enjoy him on the other games, especially
the late afternoon AFC games. Yeah, and I thought, I
think he does a great job. I just I just
enjoy listening to him, and I enjoy listening to you
as well. Brett Blake More, Robbie Rosenhaus and Brett Blake
Moore joining you live from the Great Minnesota Get Together.
Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
A He's what's coming up next?
Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
A picture perfect chamber of commerce weather day here at
the State Fair seventy nine and not a cloud in
sight as we sit in the shades of the grand stand.
We had several guests on the show today. Sam and
Kaya came on from K one O two. They helped
us with some family feud. We also had some guests
from First Wrestling in the Mall of America. But coming
up next, Brett is going to play against a Vikings
(01:22:47):
fan and are you Smarter than a PACKERDS fan? Will
ask some base basic questions and then we'll have some
fun to close out the show tour. Right next here
on the fan from the Great Minnesota to Get Get Together,
It's time.
Speaker 3 (01:23:04):
To play are you Smarter than a Packer Fan?
Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
All right, Welcome back in to the Minnesota State Fair.
You heard it there? Are you smarter than a packer fan?
And lo and behold, I have a packer fan with
me here. His name is Brett Blake.
Speaker 3 (01:23:20):
Moore or Blake much to everyone Chiagrette or Blake Brett Moore.
Speaker 2 (01:23:23):
He's the residentalitever fan along with Dave Sinecon here at KFA.
And my name is who the hell is Robbie Rose
and Allison. We're gonna fly through these questions here. But
before we do that, our contestant today, Brett, is.
Speaker 3 (01:23:34):
So you are a Vikings fan. What's your name?
Speaker 4 (01:23:36):
John?
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
Dickenan John? And where you're from? John?
Speaker 3 (01:23:40):
Gilbert, Minnesota?
Speaker 2 (01:23:41):
Gilbert, Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
How do you feel about fifth grade level questions? I'm
fighting with that.
Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
You're fine, all right? All right, all right, so let's
go play. Yeah, let's get it started. Let's not waste
any more time. All right, John, We're.
Speaker 3 (01:23:50):
Gonna go with you first.
Speaker 2 (01:23:52):
We're gonna have a few categories here, five different categories.
Two questions in each category. The first one is science,
which scientists propose? The three laws of ocean? Which scientists
proposed the three laws of motion? Einstein? Einstein is incorrect.
Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
It's do I get to see. Sorry, I wanted to
steal there. It's it's it's Isaac Newton. Yeah, I'm sorry,
I got robbed. See you look, you got the Minnesota
bias already starting the Viking bias, the conspiracies in they're
rigging it again.
Speaker 2 (01:24:22):
Yeah, you got robbed. Unfortunately you got robbed.
Speaker 3 (01:24:25):
But that was uh thought that was right, Bra. So
you get the point there.
Speaker 2 (01:24:29):
What's the most abundant element in the universe?
Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Brett?
Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
What is the most abundant element in the universe?
Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
Nitrogen?
Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
Nitrogen?
Speaker 3 (01:24:39):
Incorrect? John went for one of them, John, do you
have a guess oxygen?
Speaker 2 (01:24:43):
Oxygen is incorrect? Hydrogen is the correct answer?
Speaker 3 (01:24:49):
You said nitrogen?
Speaker 2 (01:24:51):
I was I was on the right track, okay, John,
Next question geography. What is the most populated state in
the US New York City? York is incorrect?
Speaker 3 (01:25:02):
I'm gonna go with the other coast, California. That is correct.
Brett leads two to nothing.
Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
Brett, Scandinavia is located, I said state, sir, That's okay,
no problem. Scandinavia is located. Scandinavia is located on what
continent Brett, Scandinavia, Yes, that would be Europe. That is
che codes me in Europe with the soccer by Well,
there you go ahead, all right, right, let's move on
to math. John. If a football field is one hundred
(01:25:31):
yards long, how many feet long is the football field?
Speaker 3 (01:25:34):
That is correct? Brett. What is the smallest prime number?
Sauce three?
Speaker 1 (01:25:43):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
No, no, sorry, that's incorrect. I'm gonna hit all the
sounds before i get to the wrong one. That is incorrect.
What is the smallest prime number? John?
Speaker 3 (01:25:51):
One? No, it's it's actually two. Two is the smalls
prime number? All right? Next category more math. Math is
the worst. I might as well have grown up in
white bear, John, No, man, John.
Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
If a shopping cart contains one apple, two bananas, three oranges,
and four hot dogs, what percentage of the cart's total
contents is fruit?
Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
Come on, fruit?
Speaker 2 (01:26:15):
If the car contains one apple, two bananas, three oranges,
and four hot dogs, what percentage of the cart's total
is half? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
Half, that's incorrect, Brett. Oh, I'm just gonna wing it here.
I'm gonna go seventy five. That's incorrect.
Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
Yeah, I have no, I wasn't six sixty percent, Brett.
You have twenty pairs of shoes, but there's only room
in your closet for eight shoes? How many pairs of
shoes do you have to get rid of?
Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
Okay, restart three?
