Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, contschi Wa and knee.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
How whatever language you speak, wherever you're at in the world,
scratch that, wherever you're at in the universe, humans, aliens, animals,
whatever you are, you're tuned in to what we affectionately
call the worst case scenario.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
We are here in.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
The flesh, live and direct on f M one hundred
point three k f x N.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
But we almost weren't.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Again, Max again again, You'll never You'll never believe it.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
We're pulling as many l's as the White Sox these times.
We're pulling them out though.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yo. No, we actually on the ninth Yeah, we actually
are pulling them out, unlike the White Sox, our fearless leader,
Chad Abbott. You familiar with them, some would.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Say, I've heard of them.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Exist.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yes, on the dark Web.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
He actually wanted to play Tommy Olsen's new audio book
titled Choots Life in the Back of the Train the
Tommy Elson Star Oh my god, Okay, you grew up
loving train train sets. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, so it's
all about his love. I heard it was the fifth
best seller. Yes, yes, and the band train.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Is as well.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
But once our editors were done with it, it was
basically just one big I mean it's it's totally not
arable for CEC airwaves, so Abbott had no choice but
to break the emergency glass. That is worst case scenario. Hello, Hi,
nice to talk to you all again. My name is
Max Fuller ak Max Jick Johnson a k A. Marilyn Monfro.

(01:39):
Including ladies' names, now I'm running out of dudes names right.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Watch out for any sores you blow up your dress.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
I'm the worst of the worst.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I'm the one that I'm the reason they call it
worst case scenario because my friends here are the best
of the best far. Except we've got a guy that's
so amped for Olympic golf. He drove a golf car
all the way up the stairs and into the studio,
and he's so amped about Olympic golf. He's been texting
Perkins waitresses waitresses all morning, and.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
They called him the Hawk Eye Stay. But here in Minnesota,
we simply call him Brett four more. How's it going, Brett?

Speaker 4 (02:25):
It would have been better for his Brett Blake full Yeah,
that's actually way better. That's way better. I just gave
common new material. Speaking of which, looking forward to the
tea time today with me and Robbi are getting out
later today. Oh good for us. So I got to
loosen up the back a little bit. But yes, Scottie

(02:45):
Scheffler bringing home the gold for America from the prison
to gold the American dreams.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Yeahot from being locked up to locking up a gold medal. Yeah,
we get bad.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Up.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
We've got the Man of a million stories. I'm sure
at some point throughout the show he's gonna tell us.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
He was once saved from drowning by Katie Ledecki. He
once raised Shikari Richardson at a track and field meet
in one and somehow all of these stories will be true.
That's why we call him the Human Onion. That's why
we call him the International Man of Mystery.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
That's why we call him mister Robbie Rosenhaus.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
You know, I enjoy the open to our show. I
think we all came up with the with the DX open.
We all enjoy wrestling, and we'll get into SummerSlam later
in the show. I just want to know, when we're
out at the State Fair in a few weeks, who's
going to ride the tank into the fair like DX
rode the tank because the three of us or the
four of us will be on top of the tank
and one of us will one of us will have

(03:47):
to be holding the U the kid.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Brand entrance like a Planet Cain and all that stuff.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
We should we should have like an industrial amount of
green glow sticks so we can throw out, you know,
like DX you Star.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
We'll get the audience to do the crotch chops. It'll
be great.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
If you don't like worst case scenario. We got two
words for you.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, yeah, Off, there we got two words. And once
again we are lucky enough to be joined by our
very special guest. If you've seen her throughout this week, No,
she's not going through puberty again. She's just very much
emotional about the Olympics. She is the poll tab Princess,

(04:30):
the Dame of Dabbers, the future President of the United States,
and current.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Queen of the Olympic Fan Club Rube Royalty.

Speaker 7 (04:38):
Haley Darling, Well, I'm just glad that I could stop
crying after Suony winning this morning to be wanted one.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
She won a bronze.

Speaker 7 (04:45):
Medal on the uneven.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Bars today, so we're happy for her.

Speaker 7 (04:49):
She is amazing. She is making Minnesotans look good this week.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
So love her.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
No, I've been an emotional wreck as well. That's where
I was going. I guess you should not going with
the puberty bit.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
I'm like, oh God, I wish someone would explain to
me that I'm.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Not picking up.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
This is the high school after school special yere, you know,
and we'll get plenty into the Olympics around the corner.
You know. We're nothing special here at worst case scenario.
That's why we're called worst case scenario. We're the last
off the bench where the glorified gatorade guys and gals.
Nobody's ever gonna make a movie about us. We're nobody

(05:32):
of notes. But if we were, I think we'd have
a chance, because I feel like left and right that like,
over the last couple of years, I'm seeing all types
of biopic, are you guys biopics or biopic?

Speaker 1 (05:42):
By people?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Biopic?

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Really, I say biopic, but if that is the correct way,
then I'll change.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
But I've always heard biopick. I always say biopick.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Biopic feels so like that's what she said, And I
say biopic. It's like a pinky in the air, like
dotta do you call it dotta too.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
Oh, I say, yeah, it just feels just I don't
know data.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
You could say data data.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Isn't it weird though?

Speaker 7 (06:06):
When there are words that are spelt the same but
you can pronounce them differently. If they are written out
three times, you read them in the three different ways
it can be pronounced, it's so weird how your brain
works like that.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Yeah, no, it's it's super weird.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And I never I didn't even hear biopic until like
the last couple of years, and.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Then I'm like, oh my god, that sounds like a
bicycle of some for like two like a monocle.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Or a soldier.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Sounds too close to bionic.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Yeah, or bionicals remember the hosts?

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah? Yeah, anyways, well there's biopics left and right. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
I mean, Elvis had a movie a year or two ago.
There was the Amy Winehouse movie. I just saw a
trailer for the new Bob Dylan movie coming out, Hometown
Hero Bob Dylan starring Timothy Shallomey of Wonka and Dune Fame.
I just read this morning that Britney Spears is getting
a biopic directed by the guy that made Crazy Rich
Asians alone.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
We're we're leaving Brittany alone.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
I just got the movie reels in my mind spinning projecting,
and it had me thinking, who is Somebody says they're
just handed.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Out biopics biopics left and right.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Who is a celebrity and athlete, a musician, somebody of
notes that hasn't gotten a movie yet that you think
would make an interesting movie, Haley Darling, your hand is up.

Speaker 7 (07:20):
Well, this is on topic because he has been all
over the internet since the Olympics started.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
I want a movie on Snoop Dogg.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
That would be so great.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
I want a Snoop Dogg movie.

Speaker 8 (07:30):
Like.

Speaker 7 (07:30):
He's so beloved, he's not controversial, he's so interesting. He
was married, he's married to his high school sweetheart. He's
Grammy nominated multiple.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Times, new Tupac, sug Night Beat, a murder, a ton
of movies.

Speaker 7 (07:42):
Yeah, he's a father, he's an avid cannabis enjoyer.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
He loves, he does, he's got.

Speaker 7 (07:49):
He's like good friends with Martha Stewart, which is to
yesterday in there a Questrian attire is the greatest picture.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
I might make it the background on my phone.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
It's so good. My face, favorite friendship of all time.

Speaker 7 (08:01):
It's so unlikely, and I love it. And they seem
like they really enjoy being friends.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Right, Like it's not a bit like they're really friends.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (08:08):
Yeah, So I want to see a Snoop Dogg movie
because I think it would be epic because there are
just so many layers to that onion and he's just
so he just seems like a fun guy.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
I support that one hundred percent, and I think that
Snoop Dogg should current Snoop Dogg should just be Snoop
Dogg in the movie a yell like even young Snoop,
like no matter what, like no AI, no digital retouching,
just old Snoop as like kids Snooped, teend Snoop and
then old Snoop.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
I think I'm here for it.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Why not.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
It's a great idea.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I love that idea.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
What about you, Robbie Rosenhouse, Aside from Snoop Dogg, who
do you want to see get a biopick Biop?

Speaker 6 (08:44):
This may be a little bit controversial because you quote
unquote is still active, but I would love to see
one on Connor McGregor, just the rise of him and
in the eight seconds it took for him to knock
Aldo out and basically his star just kind of taking
off from there and following his path along the way.
Obviously a big part of that would be the sham
fight against Floyd Bayweather and just his kind of journey

(09:08):
into our lives and still a part of cultural zeitgeist,
and anytime he's gonna fight, it's a big deal. So
I would say, Connor McGregor, Huppy and Huppy, are you
familiar with it?

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Does he have an interesting like that?

Speaker 6 (09:21):
I'm sure he comes from a pretty rough background in
in Ireland, so you know, bare knuckle fighting and things
like that.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
But he fought his way up.

Speaker 6 (09:31):
I know, I know a little bit about his story,
but certainly he's got quite quite a lot of money
in his bank account and quite a lot of tales
to tell.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
I don't know if I want Connor being involved in
the movie though, because because then it's gonna be very
skewed and we're not going to get the real Connor McGregor, right.

Speaker 6 (09:52):
But you would think that, knowing how strong a personality
he is, he probably wants input and say what's going
to be You know, Elvis is dead, He's not gonna
have any input on what you know on what Austin Butler,
who did a great job by the way, playing Elvis,
but he still sounds like.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Justin. It was an incredible job he did.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
But yeah, just I just I don't know who would
play Connor McGregor in the movie. Maybe Patty Pimblet, I
don't know, you know, but somebody, because he would have
the he would have the Irish.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Kabebe would be kind of an interesting one too, Yeah, it.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
Would be, but from more of a kind of a
Newsworthy headline stamp.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Of course, Kobebe is the goat, I mean just following
him and just.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
The people who don't know. Yes, he's one of the
greatest MMA fighters of all time. Yes, and I'll just
absolutely whooped Connor McGregor's ass.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Silly, sure did choke choke the life out of him.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
So him being from Daukistan, Russia, just his journey to
the UFC is quite a unique one as well.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Max Brett, how about you, someone that's you.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
I'm assume you got a you got an off the
cuff answer for this a biopic? A biopic, it's not,
it's not Jordan Love right.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
No, Well, so I was something came to mind immediately
ted last, No, I.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Would love to see a fourth season of that.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
I had one that came to mind immediately, and I thought, huh,
it's it's the Packer Angle again. No one cares like,
I don't want to do it far but then John.
Then I googled it just to see volleyball. No, it
actually almost was a thing. It was rumored Robert de
Niro was cast to play Vince Lombardi. I think that

(11:37):
would be a great.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
My favorite actors of all the time, so I'm down
to see him in anything. But yeah, that would have
been That would have been incredibly fast. Yeah, I never
got shelved or what what's that?

Speaker 4 (11:47):
They just it just vanished. I don't know what happened.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
So I don't know if you know. I don't know
if you guys know this. But Lombardi was a play.

Speaker 6 (11:53):
Actually they made a play of it on Broadway. They
made a play, yeah, of of I just googled it.
I was almost positive that they did it. Yeah, it
was back in twenty ten. And Dan Laurier, who was
the father on I think The Wonder Years, I believe,
Oh yeah, yeah he and uh and he played the
father and Angela Bauer on Who's the Boss? Judith Light

(12:15):
played played his wife. So yeah, they had a Broadway play.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (12:20):
So there you go or Wikipedia right in front of me. Yeah,
so what is your actual answer? Since the an actual biopic?

Speaker 4 (12:30):
Okay, yeah it isn't an actual biopic, but it could
have been or almost was.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
But I think, what are we doing here? Producers? Come on? Yeah,
on the right track. Live work than that.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Yeah, come on, Brady, brilliant the greatest movies of all times? Yeah,
on paper, on paper, Adie for Brady. I was in
the theater. I saw it.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
I watched it absolutely. I loved it. I laughed, I cried.
The only guy there made one of us I made.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
I'm like, this is not a bootleg affair right here,
this is eighty for Brady.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
I paid for that movie. Pay to go.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Hey, I paid for two seats actually because I was
so excited.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
It's a great movie. I'm not real it's a great movie.

Speaker 9 (13:18):
Is no.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Somebody seeing the movie theaters? A bunch of senior citizens
going to chase Brady? I mean, what are we doing?
It's one of the greatest movies of all times.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
If I got ripped for twelve rounds, you're getting ripped
eighty for Brady made bank. It made a lot of money.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Yes, okay, how much did it make?

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Look it up? We'll get back to five of it
was just me going to see it over.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
No brilliant text came into the branch ONWN Ryan K
fan text line six for us to six six four
six eight six. Tyler from Fairmont says, only choice to
play Connor McGregor, Chris Hockey.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
He's got the voice. There you go.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
He's already I mean, the half the script has already written.
If there's a bunch of guys jumping on, what's he
got to do?

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Proper Irish whiskey?

Speaker 6 (14:15):
All right, yeah, he's he's got the while he sells
his own whiskey, which is swill and it's terrible.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Thank you. Connor McGregor's pr for you go.

Speaker 6 (14:24):
No, I'm trying to make a movie about him, not
trying to sell a whiskey, but Hockey, big d.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
My answer is Jerry Springer, not just for the bit
because I love the Jerry Springer Show, but because he's
lived a super interesting life. He was like the mayor
of Sannati or something like that. He was a politician. No, no,
I'm sure. Yeah, I'm sure. But no, he was the
mayor of Cincinnati. He was a politician. He did a
bunch of like serious journalism stuff, and then somehow ventured

(14:49):
into The Jerry Springer Show, which was actually a somewhat
more of a serious venture at the beginning. Like they
had Nazis on there, they had the Klan, like, yeah,
they had a lot more people that lived and stuff like.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
It wasn't just Sewert. Yes, early episodes ed sewer Be.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
They had all types of stuff before it just kind
of eventually was every single day was just baby Mama,
John Manchenywich. I love that stuff too. Here for it, yeah,
of course, and I want to see that on the
big screen. So Jerry spring would be a really interesting one.
I think Rick James would be a really interesting one
outside of the Chappelle Show biopic that we got twenty
years ago, Oh your Couch. I mean, he's lived such

(15:30):
a crazy life and I think he's way more talented
and like musically, I mean, genius is a word that's
kind of thrown around a lot, but I think he's
a musical genius and I think showing that side of
him would be interesting. But it could also be a comedy,
because I mean, he was a crackhead. He lived a crazy,
ridiculous life. So I think a Rick James biopic biopic
would be really fascinating as well, if you got any answers.

(15:51):
Textas six four six eight six. But on this same subject,
that got me thinking. You know, I said, I started
this off with nobody's gonna make a movie about us,
But say they did, say producers, Hollywood producers kick down
this door like Tommyolsen right now, and they want to
make a movie about us. Who is playing you in
the movie about you? My answer, just stay with me here.

(16:14):
Young Max will be played by Ryan Gosling. Okay, you
can see the resemblance, right, I can see you guys
like cooking up that mental image. You can see the resemblance.
I think he's got the range for it. Young Max
will be Ryan Gosling and Old Max will be Samuel L. Jackson,

(16:34):
and all the stunts will be done by Jet Lee.
And there will be no explanations, no explanation the visual
changes or anything like that. I think that perfectly would
encompass the Max Fuller story.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
The opening scene is that back alley in Japan, with
your pants down.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Yeah, exactly correct, wasn't mine, It was my friend friend's pants.

Speaker 7 (16:55):
I think just based on that casting alone, it would
make more money than eighty for Brady first.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, I mean that's hard to do selling movies of
all time.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Not enough people talking about it, for sure.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
So who's playing you in the movie about you? Robbie Rosenow?

Speaker 6 (17:11):
I would say the baby from Look Who's Talking? Would
play me as a baby. I would say, Butterbean would
play me as.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
A mid aged adult. And I'll go with you love
that one.

Speaker 6 (17:21):
And I'll go with Vin Diesel for the adult and
much more successful portion of my life.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
That's just burgeoning as we speak.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
How do we feel about Robbie's I give you a
butter Bean there?

Speaker 7 (17:35):
Look Who's talking? References A plus? I like that too,
Yeah for sure.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
And because you just talk, I talk, talk talks well.

Speaker 7 (17:42):
And because you have such a great voice, that would
be very funny to hear your adult voice voicing you
as a baby. So yeah, I like that.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
That's great.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
All right, Well there we go. I got seals of approval.
Haylee's green lighting the Robbie bio.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yeah, it beats my beats, my music Festival last week,
which finished in fourth place.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Yeah, dead last.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
We can sell any tickets.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
We canceled Hailey, who's playing Haley Darling in the Haley biopic?

Speaker 1 (18:08):
What is the name of the Hailey biopocy?

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Oh, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (18:12):
I always say that when I write my autobiography, it
will be titled my dad was right about everything, write
about so many things in my life, unfortunately, which I
hate to admit, but I have to give him as flowers.
So maybe something along the lines of that. But I
wasn't when you post this question this morning. I wasn't
thinking about me as a kid. I was thinking, I'm

(18:34):
hoping I am thirty six now I'm hoping I live
to be a little bit older than that. So I'm
hoping that I would like Sandra Bullock to play me,
which is the most delusional thing, But I just love
her and think she's very charming and she would make
me look a lot better than I am in a
lot of ways. So I'm all in for Sandy, and

(18:57):
hopefully she'd win an Oscar.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
I think I think she would. Okay, I think your
story is compelling enough for the Oscar.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
She got to do a lot of hospital scene.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
The whole thing will be shot in just the hospital room.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Yeah, it's very cheaply filmed.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
The pros are all over it, so little bit.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Just have one set, not too many cameras exactly.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Yeah, that's that's when I.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
How about you blakemore Well, I didn't get the young, old,
and middle, but I think it would be really funny
if if he shaved his head, grew a beard, if
Michael Sarah played me.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Michael, thank you. That's really good, Sarah. Michael Sarah is
a good show.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
I mean, it wouldn't be hilarious, but it wouldn't be
good a lot like well anyway, son was going to
go down another road. But yeah, Michael Sarah, I think
it would be the awkward. It would be a for
comedic value of just boy, this this movie stinks.

Speaker 7 (19:55):
I think.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
I think that would be good. I like I like Michael.
That might be the best fun.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Of the bunch. For good stuff.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
You'd have to shave his head, though, I don't know
I feel that's true.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
They can do bald cap.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Yeah, yeah, you can do bad.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
But would you think that's not like you got to
be you have to you want like a method actor
like you've got to play Call of Duty like fifteen
hours a day.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Yeah, yeah, he's got to talk about that.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Yeah, yeah, the packers at least at least for a month,
you know, just to get into character.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
Okay, the text line, lots of lots of examples on
the text line.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Someone says, we need a biopic of Stony Lee. That
would be awesome.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I'm sure that we'll get that someday. Hopefully we'll get
that someday. Anthony Edwards, Well, this story hasn't been written
on Anthony yet.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
Well, you know that documentary is coming out.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
On ant right, Yes that is yes, Yes.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Lebron's in it. Who else is in it?

Speaker 7 (20:49):
I don't know, but if Netflix is doing anything doing it,
it's going to be really well done and it's going
to be very interesting and I'm excited.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
Yeah, I'm super excited for that.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
It's just a lot of Another textor says, elderly Max
should be flavor for. If I take back my previous casting,
Young Max is Ryan Gosling.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Elderly Max is flavor.

Speaker 7 (21:06):
Fla another person I would love to see a movie
on because he has been so beloved these Olympics and
he has changed lives. With the money that he's given
out and the teams that he supported, it's really impressive.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
And he's a huge swiftye So I'm here for it.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
And he's I mean his career max using the word again.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
But he's a he's a musical genie, he's a multi instrumentalist,
he's a producer, he's he does so much, man. And also,
I just want to see a recreation of Flavor of
Love on the.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Big love that it was.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
It was it started this whole reality show boom, this
dating show boom, and it's it's still the goat of
all of them.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
It's so good.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
I would love to see.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
I miss New York so much.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
So good that h one right, yeah, all of that, man,
Real Chance of Love. What great shows I would love
to see. Yes, Oh my god, I would love to
see any of those get made into the movie. Thanks

free iHeartRadio app. We got a really fun show plan
for y'all today. We got Sherrysernief Twins Daily dot Com
calling in a little bit later to talk Twins. Otherwise,
we got plenty of Olympic drama to discuss. Wwe had
its second biggest event of the year, Summer Slam, last night,

(22:50):
so we got to dive into that. Plus we will
close out the show with the fan favorite segment. How
it works is the three of us, we'll each present
a topic and then we leave it up to you.
With the love Listener, you can vote on Twitter, slash
x at camp and one zero zero three and you

Hayley Darling, what is your offering for the Fan Favorite

(23:11):
segment today?

Speaker 7 (23:12):
Well, on Friday, I came into the Power Trip with
some cheesecake that my mom.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Had made and it was elite, but I wish I
took more.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
Okay, I had so much more.

Speaker 7 (23:23):
I wish I should give it to you some But
so that got me thinking because that is my that
and then Manny's Pumpkin Pie is my two favorite desserts
on the planet. So I want to know your favorite
desserts because I'm always thinking about food. That's that's favorite
dessert desert and it has to be specific. Don't say
just like Rocky Road ice cream you got to have.

(23:43):
I need a brand, I need to know where I
can find it. If it's a dessert from a restaurant,
I need specifics here.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
I'm looking for ideas for food.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
I was typing out the favorite desserts into the poll
and I almost made us do a segment on the
Sahara to make sure correct.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
We'll use some dry humor. Robbie Rosenhaus, what is ah you?
I was waiting for it.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
What is your offering for the fan Favorite segment today?

Speaker 6 (24:15):
Well, I'm going to recycle one from last week. Considering
that the VP is in the news, perhaps Governor Walls
could be Kamala Harris's pick as soon as this week.
So last week I floated out that if we were
running for president, who would we pick as our vice
presidential running mate? Could be somebody that's a friend of yours.
It could be a celebrity. It could be somebody who
works at the station. It could be somebody sitting right.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Across from you. It could be anybody.

Speaker 6 (24:38):
So that is my topic for fan favorites your ticket,
if you were running.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
From running it back.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Y're you're not accepting that at loss last week?

Speaker 1 (24:47):
You want another crackout? No, I'm going I'm going.

Speaker 6 (24:49):
Right back at it to see if I can win
the time, because it's been a while since one of
my choices is won. So hopefully the listeners will enjoy mine,
although Haley's is pretty good as well.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
So we got deserts, we got ad vice presidential elections.
Brett Blake Moore, do you got one? I got one?

Speaker 1 (25:05):
What do you want to do? You can go ahead.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Mine is the I saw and I've said this before
just a mere six months ago, which is it's amazing
that we've gotten these.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Two films within a six month span.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
I think I saw the new worst movie of all
time on Fridayan's new Trap movie starring one of us,
Josh Hartnet. Happy for Josh Hartnett, not trying to rip
on him, but it is one of the worst, if
not the worst movie I have ever seen in my
entire life. And I'm not engaging in hyperbole when I
say that, like it is one of the worst things

(25:38):
ever committed to film, including snuff films.

Speaker 7 (25:41):
Is that the one where he's the dad at the
concert with his daughter And Okay, I hope I thought
that was getting good.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Reviews Aproxico Maxter movie Phone, No it is not.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Yeah, on the Rotten Fromatos, it has zero percent negative,
thirty percent.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
On the Rotten Tomatoes, sixty four for audience but forty
seven for critics.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
And I'm assuming that's sixty four with just people laughing family, Yeah,
like just people at.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
I'm not even gonna spoil it, you know what.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
That's that's that's my that's my offering movie review for
possibly the worst movie of all times, Madam Web. It's
it's like Godzilla versus King Kong, but with those two.
Mother with those two like Madam Webb is Godzilla, Trap
is King Kong and they're duking it out for worst
movie of all time. It's it's seriously that bad.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
But I don't want.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
I don't want to see both of them in the theaters.
Mat Yes, I saw both of them in the theaters.
Neither of them were bootleg affairs. These were both so
eighty for Brady, good eighty for Brady.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Well rounds good, okay, but enough.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
I don't want to hear twelve anything else about twelve
rounds on these airyways ever.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Again, little Finger was great, so John, It's a great movie.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
This is the people show on Campvan.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
So if you want to vote, let us know what
you want to hear about in the fan favorite say
at kfan one zero zero three. Otherwise we're talking Olympics
around the corner. Worst case scenario on the fan. Yes,

(27:21):
welcome back to worst case scenario on a Sunday. Max
fully here alongside Haley Darling, Brett, Blake Moore, Robbie Rose
in the house. Not to steal a bit from Barero,
but I do feel like we are the Olympic leader
here at the fan. I feel like worst case scenario,
is more invested in the Olympics than than most at

(27:41):
the fan I've been I've been all in. This is
my first Olympic cycle that I'm all in, and I'm
me and Haley have been texting about it all.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
I've been an emotional rack.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Yeah, people see me in public, like, Max, you can't
be that high in public. I'm like, no, I've just
been crying. I'm just I'm just so emotional from all
the I mean just hearing all the store from Simone Biles,
Katie Ladeki, all this, I mean, even athletes from other countries.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
I find myself.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
I'm rooting from someone from Poland because i just saw
their background or something, you know. Like, I'm so invested
in this Olympic cycle. And it's been, I mean a
hell of a week for the twenty twenty four Summer Games.
There's all types of storylines left and right, from the
sustained superstardom of the likes of Simone Biles and Katie
Ladecci to stupid ass scandals like the one around Emane Khalif.

(28:30):
There's just storylines galore throughout this week in Paris. Hayley,
I know you're like super into the Olympic. What's the
highlight of this week in the Olympics for you?

Speaker 7 (28:39):
The highlight for me was Thursday when Simone won gold
on all around in suny one bronze and watching those
two how they've overcome so much in the last few years.
I know I tweeted this out, but I just wish
that twenty twenty one Simone could see where she is
now after having to drop out and didn't She didn't
know if she was ever going to come back. It

(29:01):
took her like almost two years to get back into
the gym and be able to do things. So I
wish she could see all the progress that she has made,
how happy she is outside of gymnastics, and it just
you can see that she's actually enjoying what she does.
And then Sonny Lee is my girl. Just I relate
to her so much on health issues and obviously not
on the same level of not being able to compete

(29:23):
in the Olympics, but having to miss out on things
and how hard it can be to try and come
back from every time you're sick. And she said something
this past week, she said, there were so many times
where I thought about quitting and just giving up because
I was so sick. But once I had those people
around me who lifted me up and supported me and
just made sure that I was good, I knew that

(29:44):
this is something that I wanted. So she didn't even
know she wanted to come back because she had been
so sick so far to be able to recover not
only physically but then mentally have to get back into
the swing of things. She didn't start practicing until January
of this year. I think, so no way, yeah, wow,
And she she has won two bronze medals and individuals

(30:07):
that are in the all around, and then today on
the uneven bars and gold obviously with the team. So
it's been so fun for me to watch and I
sobbed for like an hour on.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Same and then just just knowing, like how much because
I believe it was Simone went last for that gold medal,
and how much pressure is on her not just from
us as the audience, but internally and just and she
just knocked it out of the park, which I got
to be honest, like, I rely completely on the commentators
for gymnastics because I'm like, that looked awesome and then

(30:41):
it was like they got one point.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Yeah, I'm like, wait, what all of it looks great
to me?

Speaker 7 (30:45):
And how great has laur Hernandez been. She was on
Simone's twenty sixteen Reo Olympics team. She is so fun
to listen to and she explains things in a way
where it's not talking you know, at you, she really is.
She brings you into it. And she's such a rube too,
so it's fun to hear her.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
She is. You could hear her looking for Simone and
just being like, all Simone's got to do is be
Simone here, Like I didn't need a complicated breakdown of
what move she's gonna she said, all Simone needs to
do is be Simone.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
And I'm like, all right, cool, we're locked in.

Speaker 7 (31:15):
Yeah, And I brought this up to you guys before
the show. But before Scotti, Scheffler had won that gold
this morning in golf, all the individual Olympic gold medals
this year for the United States had been won by women.
So the queens of the United States have been really

(31:35):
working hard and busting their asses.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
So I am proud to be an American woman because
of all of them.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
Thank you for your service.

Speaker 6 (31:43):
Speaking of queens from the United States, we have a
one of our own here, Saint Cloud native Elisee Willoughby.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
She missed the medal and BMX rationing.

Speaker 6 (31:50):
She actually won a silver back in twenty sixteen, but
she got sixth place and they had a huge viewing
party for her up in Saint Cloud. So just from
a local angle, they are another local angle like Sony
at Least did not get the medal, but certainly had
a big crowd for her up in St.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Claud.

Speaker 6 (32:05):
I love the BMX racing stuff. It's like forty five
seconds start to finish. It's like three straights and four
turns and it's really exciting to watch. So congrats to
her in the sixth place, but unfortunately she didn't get
the medal.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Yeah, no, that's that's really cool.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
And uh yeah, I mean getting a chance to just
watch the local angle from Sony too yep to the
BMX or at least and the and the BMX, it's
it's been so much fun. I got a chance to
watch the gymnastics with my daughter who's into gymnastics.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Even though I was the.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
One who's like elbowing or like come on, you want to,
she's like, I mean, I guess, you know, I got
a few.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
I got a few cool points because I'm like.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
Yeah, you know, I I see Sony Lee at the
Timberwolves game sometimes and my daughter's like, are you are
you serious? It's like serious, Yeah, I said, I'm like,
I've never met her or anything like that, but I
just can't.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
I just kept saying, like, yeah, you know, she's been
on our station before.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
My daughter was just so like Wold and that's just
that's just so cool to see, like different kinds of
athletes have in this influence on kids like my daughter.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
I mean, she could have wrote a book about Simone
Bio seeing so much about her.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
She's telling me facts about her and I'm like, oh
my god, I didn't even know this. So it's so
cool that the that the young ladies out there and
the young guys out there have a chance to look
up to people like Simone or Katie Lidecki, who got
yet another gold medal. She I mean just absolutely dusted everybody.
I mean, nobody was even in the frame when she finished.
Pretty much she didn't see that was so it looked

(33:25):
like she.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Was swimming by herself, like she was practicing. She could
have swopped halfway.

Speaker 6 (33:28):
Yeah, she could have stopped halfway through and had something
to eat and then continued her race.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
She's that dominant.

Speaker 7 (33:34):
The other thing that I saw that was cool was
the United States olympian who won bronze and pommel horse,
where it's like the bit is his job. His job
is pommel horse. I can't remember his name, it's escaping me.
But the gym that he works out at, the owner
has come out and said that there are so many
parents calling to sign up their their young boys to

(33:54):
be So it's so cool that he's influencing boys to
get into gymnastic and stuff too. So it's it's really
cool for kids to have somebody to look up to
who is incredible and just want to He run the
only individual gymnasts medal for the United States, So that's
really impressive.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Steve. I believe it's.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
That and that's so cool. And I loved all the
memes about him being Clark Kent. He was just like
glasses on, like looking like he was asleep, and then
like all right, Palma horse and he just put the
team on BA the US the men's gymnastic.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
They went bronze and that was like the first time
they meddled in a while, right.

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Yeah, that was on like the first couple of days
of the Olympics, right that they that they had won
that team medal.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Yeah, yeah, no, it's it's been so much fun to watch.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Unfortunately, Uh, there was, you know, this whole scandal with
the Olympic Boxing Committee and and Imana Khalif and Algerian
Olympic boxer. She's been at the center of this whole
debate about gender and everything like that.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
She fought I believe, an Italian fighter.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Italian, Yes, she who in the Italian fighter quit one
after one singular.

Speaker 9 (35:04):
Like I even wrote it out like that's too hard.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
She said, it's over.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Her.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Should have done a story that should have been the bit.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
It should have been a funny little meme that we
just laugh about and move on. But unfortunately it sparked
this whole thing about I believe. I think it was
her opponent, the Italian boxer that said something along the
longs of like Immani Khalif is a man or something
like that, and people started looking into it, and all
this misinformation and disinformation was was spread and everybody saying

(35:36):
that she was a trans woman and that she you know,
she has an unfair advantage because of hormones and and
this and that and this, and it's it's a non story.
She's a woman, she's always been a woman. She doesn't
identify as trance. She's never gone through any type of surgery.
She is a woman, like that's all that that she is.
This is a complete non story that was picked up

(35:56):
by people who had their own hateful agendas to push.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
And it's sickening.

Speaker 7 (36:00):
Well, and it's so sad because it takes away from
what she's there for and what she has accomplished. And boxers,
female boxers that she has boxed before and that have
beaten her have come out and nine loss.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Yeah, so it's like she's not some unstoppable juggernaut that's
just like crushing everybody.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (36:17):
And if that was the case, that she was a man,
I think her record would be a little bit better.
I just felt bad that it just takes away from
what she has accomplished and how important and amazing that
she is in the Olympics. But this is all anyone's
talking about. So it's just it's very sad.

Speaker 6 (36:35):
Yes, and and and to that point, there is a
organization I was reading about before the show called the IBA,
and they're long mired with the scandal and controversies.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
The worse. Yeah, they've overseeen Olympic boxing. Uh, there's a
reason they don't before being.

Speaker 6 (36:50):
Stripped right before the Tokyo Games because they've been a
complete disaster, and the IOC said the gender and age
for the athletes is based on their passports. The fact remains,
she's a biological woman, and it's basically kind of an
excuse that this other that this other Italian woman is
using it.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
It just doesn't pass.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Away, and it's beyond it's notable people here in the
US media. It's become a whole international firestorm. And again
it's just it's just a guise for people to push
their hate.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
Nobody is actually concerned.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
All these people who are saying stuff like, oh, protect
our daughters. I don't remember any of those people saying
anything about when an actual man gets in trouble for
abusing a woman. All some of these people cover the
NFL every week. Yeah, I'm not gonna say names about this.
We saw the people that were in the media that
were pushing this this narrative, and I don't recall any
of them saying anything about actual domestic violence.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
So it's like.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
You you don't care, You're just trying to push a hateful
agenda and this is this is your little disguise to
do it, and it's it's so disturbing, and like Haley said,
we should be I mean, now mont Cli she's gonna
get a medal no matter what.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
That should be the story she's from rural r Algeria,
like she's not.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
It's it's a really she has a really fascinating story
of how she got here, which Algeria, by the way,
you can be imprisoned for being LGBTQ for up to
three years.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
So you really think that they sent.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
Yeah, and all this stuff could have been dispelled by
a quick Google search. There's a lot deeper into it,
like Robbie said, with the committees and everything like that,
and then all of a sudden, this this was a
problem after she beat a Russian boxer with this committee
that has you know, connections to Russia.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
So it's a it's a whole shady thing. I'm not
going to dive into all the details.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
I just think this whole thing has been it's been
discussing and so many people pushing misinformation disinformation out there.
Google stuff before you go and ruin somebody's life, because
now this, this is all that's she's going.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
To remember this for.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
Even if she wins a gold medal, all she's going
to remember this for is that that's mired in all
this international controversy and she's a woman rights It's so stupid.

Speaker 6 (38:49):
She was picked on for participating in sports as a
girl growing up, she said in several interviews before and
after the fight, and she had to raise money for
her boxing lessons as her father didn't approve for getting
into the sports as a child in Algeria. So if
you think about it, like you said, her story should
be what everybody's talking about, and it's stan. It's the
negative connotations that some people in the media and also

(39:13):
in the political sphere, if you've seen, have been pushing
just just some narratives that have not have not made
a ton of sense, if any at all.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
It's not surprising, but it's still nonetheless disheardening. And I
believe there's a Chinese boxer where the same controversy was
kind of looming over.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
Her as well. I wish them the best.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
I hope they win gold, and I hope they stunt
on everybody because this has been the stupidest thing. It's
hard to say the Internet had a really bad day,
because the Internet often every day is a really bad day.
But the other day was one of the all time
worst days for the Internet.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Being on social media. It was just it was gross, man.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
It was like reading those newspapers that they used to
have in the front in the Island cub Foods, whereas
the National was coming back tomorrow and George Bush just
adopted an alien.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
It's like reading that sometimes right Well.

Speaker 6 (40:03):
To that point, you think the tabloids are something over
here with the National Inquirer and the Star things you
pick up at the supermarket.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
You guys, I mean I do go on like the.

Speaker 6 (40:13):
Daily Mail and those, I mean they're so much more
scandalous than I mean, hally you could speak to all
the celebrity drama and all the celebrity love Island. I'm
always going to the Daily Mail website and seeing those
kind of reality shows popped up, right. They love their
celebrity drama and all their just drama in general over
in Europe, especially in London.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
And it's very toxic, yes, all extremely very toxic.

Speaker 1 (40:34):
A lot of scandals. Yeah, so dumb.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Then there's actual, like legit criminals that have harmed women
that are a part of some of these international teams,
and I don't remember any of these same media people
saying anything about it. So can it with your fake
please see your pearl clutching?

Speaker 6 (40:48):
Right, Yeah, there was that rapist that that convicted rapist
that ended up competing for for for one of the teams.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
And he was getting booed. Yeah, he was getting boed right.

Speaker 7 (40:55):
Yeah, here's what I'll have to I'll say, as a woman,
please do not use your hateful to try and say
you're protecting.

Speaker 3 (41:01):
Me, because that is so exalting.

Speaker 7 (41:04):
It's that's a terrible thing to do to women, to
try and keep us down, and then all of a
sudden you're like, oh no, I'm helping you, I'm protecting you.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
No, that's manipulative for sure.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
We got a text her text it in like what
is hateful about not wanting biological men to compete in
women's sports? Google, do me a favor and put in
Amani Calif's name on Googler on Twitter and then tell me.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
That she's a biological woman.

Speaker 6 (41:29):
If you want to have a different discussion about biological
men competing in women's sports. That's a totally different thing.
But misinformation was put out there. She's clearly a biological
woman and the whole thing caught wildfire because of a
few people. And as we know, social media can get
out of control and that's where things, misinformation starts to
spread in any walk of life, and that's what happened here.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
It's stupid, it's a non story, and hopefully that this
doesn't overshadow the fact that she's going to win a
medal for her country, which is super awesome. Oh I
wish I heard nothing but the best. Got some more
Olympics stuff to talk about. The French pole vaulter guy,
some lighter heartiest I mean, how about that? I mean
that's if you haven't seen that, Google on Google Anthony

(42:12):
Amaradi and check back when with us around the corner.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
We're gonna talk more Olympics than a little bit. But
up next it's a fight line, baby.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
We're talking boxing, MMA and most importantly for the day
wrestling as WW had their Summer Slam event yesterday. If
you want to chime in, text us six four six
eight six, so you can call in eight hundred three
two zero five three two six. We're talking wrastling around
the corner. Worst case scenario on a Sunday on the fan.

(43:10):
Welcome back to worst case scenario on a Sunday. It
was another scorcher outside yesterday here in the Twin Cities.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
I don't know. I mean, I'm not a weather guy.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
I don't know what the weather was like in Cleveland,
Ohio last night. But even if it was negative twenty degrees,
I'm sure that Brown Stadium felt like it was one
hundred and twenty degrees because SummerSlam was absolutely smoking.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
To borrow a phrase from The Mask last.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
Night, it could be I think it could be argued
that SummerSlam was ww's best event of the year thus far.
I don't think it can be argued that it was
certainly the most eventful.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
There was not one, not two.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
Not three, but four title changes to betrayaled Aromus and
a partridge Inn.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
That's what I was alluding to.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yes, there was more Joma than an episode of The
Young and the and the Restless.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
It was, I mean it was.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
It was prime WWE storytelling at the peak of its powers. Uh.
We could sit here literally the rest of the show
we could spend talking about wrestling. There's so much to discuss,
and and don't forget that you can join in the
conversation as well. I mean, we call this fight line
for a reason, y'all. You can text us six four

(44:27):
six eighty six, email us booth at kfan dot com,
or you can call us eight hundred three two zero
five three two six, much like my man Rob Wilkins
afightfull dot com has done. Rob is a big time
wrestling journalist for a big time wrestling website, and he's
one of us. Rob, thanks for calling in this morning

(44:47):
before we even get to SummerSlam at all. I gotta,
I gotta, I gotta start with this because you were
one of the premier journalists covering this story. What exactly
happened with Minneapolis losing out on next year's WrestleMania. The
reporting seemed to indicate that it was virtually locked in.
I'm hearing that the city's planning and everything like that.

(45:07):
The politicians are alluding to a big announcement to take
place at US Bank Stadium next year, and then all
of a sudden boom, we get an announcement from Triple
Ah that is going to Vegas and we're still bitter
about it. In case anybody was wondering, when the WrestleMania
commercial came up at the Excel Energy Center on Monday,
the whole crowd.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
Boo enchanted, we want Mania. Rob. I get it.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
It's probably like a complicated question, but could you give
us a breakdown to your knowledge of how exactly Minneapolis
lost out to Vegas about for Mania and what factors
played a role in it.

Speaker 5 (45:41):
Well, thanks for having me first off, but yeah, it
does think that we're not getting WrestleMania. But what happened
was Las Vegas came in the question and they gave
WWE a lot of money to bring WrestleMania. It was over.
Wrestleanics reported it was over I believe five million dollars,

(46:03):
basically like a either attack. Either it was a tax
incentive or just pretty much a payment, you know, to
bring them in. They really wanted this event. It was
pretty much not locked in until March, I believe after
that press conference. I mean they were working on it

(46:24):
for a while, but it did not come into fruition
until very late, and they ended up just getting it
because of how much money they put into it.

Speaker 6 (46:34):
Well with WrestleMania not coming here last night's event, SummerSlam
will be coming here in two years. Was this part
of kind of a make good do you think with
the city of Minneapolis, where they basically didn't want to
leave them at the altar with nothing?

Speaker 5 (46:51):
Yes, absolutely, they they did not want to leave Minneapolis out.
They knew that Minneapolis tried and they tried a lot.
I mean, this is something that Minneapolis has been wanting,
the state of Minnesota has been wanting to bring in.
They know how much financial incentive there is by having

(47:12):
a big wrestling show come to the state, and the
WWE knows that the market has been really good for
To give you an example, this past week at RAW
at the Excel Center, they brought in over twelve thousand people.
The previous time they did a raw there, I believe

(47:32):
the attendance was just a little over five thousand. So wow,
the crowd, it's been really good. Numbers have been really good,
and that's a really good crowd for WWE.

Speaker 4 (47:43):
Yeah, we were both at Raw, all three of us raw. Yeah,
it was good. And we were there at the last
one too and that was not good. Yes, I'm gonna
regret asking this, but I want to anyways, how just
explain to me how close we work to getting mania
before Vegas swooped in, Because I know they gave them
more money. We know the why, but just how close
were we fingertips away from having wrestleming at us Bank.

Speaker 5 (48:07):
Everything that I've come to know and people I've talked
to with the state, it was ours.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
It was ours.

Speaker 5 (48:14):
I mean even to the point where, basically from what
I understand, Governor Walls even pretty much had the thought
process that we had it in I believe late January
or early February, when he did a speech in weieve, Rochester,
he talked about how they wanted to announce something and

(48:36):
hopefully they can announce it soon, but it just wasn't.
They weren't able to do it. But it was it
was ours to lose, and nothing else. Nothing else is
coming into play, other than what other cities might have
gotten into it. And I'm still holding out hope that
we one day get it, but it's it's going to

(48:57):
be a while at least.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
But it hurts so much. I thought I thought we
had it.

Speaker 2 (49:02):
I was already planning where I was gonna sit and
fantasy booking what matches that we were going to see.

Speaker 1 (49:08):
It hurts so much.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
I'm with you, Rob, I really hope that we can
get it someday. We're talking to Rob Wilkins offightful dot Com,
one of the premiere wrestling websites in the business, and
Rob Wilkins is one of us.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
He's up in man Cato. I believe right, Rob, Yes, sir,
That's where I'm at.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
Last question on the Mania bit, I know you mentioned
the money in that Las Vegas. Obviously, they just they
opened up the check book, they opened up the bag
to get to get Mania next year. Did the Uber
and Lyft situation play any role in it, because at
the time Minneapolis it was still it was still up
in the air whether Uber and Lyft were going to
remain in operation in the Twin Cities.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
Did that play a role in it at all? Or
it was just the money thing.

Speaker 5 (49:48):
It was the money thing. I talked to people here
and they were pretty confident that this was going to
just blow over the whole uber list thing. They weren't
to concern Wwe figured that it wasn't going to last
as long either. From what I gathered from talking to sources,

(50:10):
it was just a lot of people blew that out
of proportion because they knew that it just likely would
not go that long. That that was their thinking, not mine.
I didn't I didn't know necessarily how big of an impact. Obviously,
I knew it would have an impact if it continued

(50:31):
to go on, But when I was talking to sources,
they did not see it being a big deal. And
I did talk to somebody was in WWE, and they
did not have a concern at all about it continuing
that far. They didn't see it being an issue A
year from from them.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
Wow, I mean, so basically we just we just need
more rich people to move to Minneapolis then so we
can open up. We could we can go band for band,
bag for bag with cities like Las Vegas. I really
hope that we can get Mania someday. But at least
we got Summer Slam in twenty six, two.

Speaker 1 (51:08):
Nights, two night, first ever two nights SummerSlam.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
It sounds so it sounds so long away, but we
do eagerly anticipate it. But as for twenty twenty four
Summer Slam, that was last night in Cleveland, Ohio, there's
I mean, it's it's hard to just pinpoint one singular highlight, Rob,
But what was the highlight of the night for you?

Speaker 5 (51:30):
You know, the biggest There's two. I gotta be honest
with you, there's two. I think the biggest thing is
is I saw somebody on on X last night say
there were over fifty thousand people at Cleveland Brown Stadium,
and that's the only time you'll see fifty thousand people
happy in that same and Roman range returning, I think

(51:51):
I think that's the big one. I was seeing him back.
It's one of those things where you you get you're
happy to see what you have, and when it's gone,
you you realize what's what's missing. And the fact that
he came back, the reaction was just as as the
way I wanted it to be. It was really good.
The crowd loved it. He came in and he told

(52:14):
his cousin what he thought of him and retained.

Speaker 1 (52:18):
Yeah, man, that was and that pop was.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
I mean, that has to be a career highlight for
Roman Reigns, a guy who's obviously what it has one
of the most i mean, one of the most storied
times in ww's history. But that had to be an
all timer for him after everything that he's been through
that pop from the crowd. I mean, they were just
absolutely you could kind of feel it throughout the whole match.
They were they were sitting on the edge of their
seats waiting for Roman to come all night and WW

(52:43):
delivered with that.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
So that was that was awesome. I gotta agree with
you on that route that was. That was one of
the highlights for me too.

Speaker 5 (52:49):
Yeah, it was a good show, though, I mean, so
much going on with even their moving stories, and that's
the biggest thing that was. That was a big thing
about last night is how many stories are moving with
Judgment Day, Dominique, Mysterio, Finn Balor. So it's it's gonna
be very intriguing to see what direction they go. And
we're on the now, we're on the road to Survivor

(53:10):
series and we'll have to see what's going on. I
do know that Jacob Socoa was seen walking in a
walking boot last night after the show, so that's a
little bit of a concern. Hopefully he's okay.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
Though, Yeah, let's hope so.

Speaker 2 (53:23):
And Rob, I'd love to I could sit here and
talk to you about Summer Slam all all morning, all
afternoon long, but I was rambling on about how I
want Jet Lee to be in my bio pic movie
in the first segment, and I messed us all up
on time, So we gotta go to break. But we
gotta get you in studio sometime. You're a local man,
we gotta get you in the studio.

Speaker 1 (53:41):
To talk some wrestling with us sometime. Let's do it.

Speaker 5 (53:45):
Man, Thank you so much for having me now.

Speaker 1 (53:46):
Thank you for joining us.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
That is rob wis a fight full dot com And
since we went along with Rob, since we went along
on all the other segments.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
We will push back our own.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
Summer Slam review for a little bit later in the show,
because up next we're talking to Sherry Serny of Twins
Daily dot com to check in with our favorite local
baseball team. Second half of Worst Case Scenario begins right
after this. Second half of Worst Case Scenario starts are

(54:22):
right now. And usually when we step up to the plate,
we whiff like, we whiff hard. We strike out like embarrassingly,
like one of those ones where you spin around in
a circle and do a split like yeah, exactly right.
The pants are ripping and everything. That's why we're called
worst case scenario. But luckily for us, local baseball fans,

(54:43):
the Twins fare much better under the barrel than we do.
They won three straight and they're on the verge of
sweeping the abysmal joke of a team that is the
Chicago White Sox. And we haven't talked Twins in a
little bit here on Sunday, so I thought, why not
call up our good friend Share Serny of Twins Daily
dot com and check out what's going on with the Twins.

Speaker 1 (55:04):
Cherry.

Speaker 2 (55:05):
There's plenty of Twins talk to be had, but I
gotta start with our opponents this afternoon and for the
last couple of afternoons. If the Twins win today, I
believe the White Sox will have lost twenty games in
a row. And this is not like some small market team.
This is the Chicago White Sox. That's an unbelievable number.

(55:25):
It feels like you have to be trying to intentionally
lose twenty games in a row and a sport as
mercurial as baseball. I know this is probably a complicated,
complicated question, but just how did the White Sox get
that bad?

Speaker 10 (55:42):
Honestly, and good morning or good afternoon, you guys.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
I have no idea.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
I know that this is.

Speaker 10 (55:48):
The second year for their head coach. But yeah, they have.
I mean, if they're doing the whole NFL thing where
you tank to get picked, it's not gonna work. The
MLB is no longer doing that situation, and so it
has been absolutely insane. And to think about the trade deadline,
they also barely made any moves. Now they've got some

(56:12):
younger guys that they're pulling up that look like they're
beginning to help, but it's just not enough.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
Yeah, and you mentioned the trade deadline. I didn't want
to start there because I wanted to start.

Speaker 1 (56:20):
On them a slightly more positive note, ripping on the
White Sox.

Speaker 2 (56:24):
But that's that is the that is the A topic
here is as the trade deadline came and went and
the Twins they got one pitch of Richard's something something,
Trevor Richards.

Speaker 10 (56:36):
Trevor Ripper from the Blue Jays, and to be honest,
he's a right handed pitcher. Haven't seen him yet, don't care.
We got rid of Josh Stammont, which I think is
absolutely horrendous in this acquisition. I don't know honestly what
they were thinking. And I know that we've all seen
the comment that you know, if we're gonna bring in somebody,

(56:57):
we're gonna have to drop a contract. Just tells me
that we're not interested in the postseason and who knows
if we will be next season. Maybe they're hoping we
will be next season. I got nothing.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
It's so it's just so disappointing, Sherry.

Speaker 2 (57:13):
That's it's just you think that when you hear, when
you read headlines, like literally every team in the MLB
had made a trade except for the Twins at one
point pretty much. It's just so disheartening. And then when
they finally do make a move, you get the notification
on your phone. It's it's Trevor Richards or what I
already forgot his name like seven times this week. I

(57:33):
don't already forgot his name because he's just a no
name guy who cares. He's got a career, four or.

Speaker 10 (57:38):
Five year real idea.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
It doesn't make any sense. Just it's so disappointing.

Speaker 4 (57:43):
Shape even said he'll only be used in low leverage situations,
like they can't ridiculous, right.

Speaker 10 (57:51):
I mean at that point, just bring Louis Varland back up.
I have no I mean, it's not like they can.
And this is you guys know me, and I know
that half of Twitter hates me being realistic and not
all lovey dovey, But at this point, why are we
not bringing guys back up like Louis Viarland, who has
just been killing it in Saint Paul. I know he
struggles up here, but I mean, if we're going to

(58:11):
bring in some no name guy, why aren't we using
the guys who actually have the talent And we've continued
to try to get the talent. This organization is making
no sense right now, and we need to start, unfortunately,
letting go of some of those high leverage players that
we have that are coming into big contract years to
make room for whatever it is we need, like you know, pitching, Well.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
Just a small thing like pitching, no big deal.

Speaker 6 (58:40):
Well, with the I wanted to ask you about Jose
Miranda because he's had quite the journey this season where
he's been injured, but he's also been their best hitter
at some point. So can you give us your thoughts
on how you think his season is progressing, what you
expect from him down the stretch here, and if you

(59:00):
think he is a key cog in in this lineup?

Speaker 10 (59:06):
You know, I know, that he had shoulder surgery last year,
but think of the year previous and how good he was.
I mean, he was just absolutely fantastic, you know, down
with Saint Paul all year last year and this year.
It did take him. You know, let's be honest. When
you and I guys started talking in April, the entire
team wasn't hitting. So to pish that Amaranda, it's not

(59:27):
really fair. But he has been so consistent, you guys, like,
not even just defensively, just offensively. His back continues to
get better, his patience continues to get better, which is
something that really drives me up at the plate. Guys
who swing at everything and guys who swing at nothing.
Miranda's patience is amazing. And this is what I was

(59:50):
talking about, was getting rid of old players and keeping
new players. He's going to be, in my opinion, one
of the future players that we're going to have, along
with Willie Kah, along with Royce Lewis and Brook Lee.
So he's getting that opportunity to grow and I absolutely
am obsessed with him.

Speaker 4 (01:00:09):
Another guy that we hope comes back from from his
foot lingering paying Carlos Korea. I saw I saw this
on Twitter and I just couldn't get enough of it.
So he's working his way up to sprinting, but the
pain is still lingering in his foot. But someone said
he should take all the time he needs because that'll
be like making a big trade at the trade deadline
comes back.

Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
Is that that kind of what they're hoping for.

Speaker 10 (01:00:33):
It's interesting. I'm not quite sure that that's something that
would happen. You know, look at the situation. I know
it's a little bit different, but the situation was Kyle Farmer, right,
he isn't playing at all, but he's what the super
fans call a clubhouse guy. So for me, it's hard
to conceptualize that we would get rid of Korea, we
would get rid of Farmer because they're quote unquote clubhouse guys.

(01:00:54):
But at the same time, like when they're good, they're good.
But I just I don't. I really love the team
we have now. I love the structure we have now,
and it's unfortunate that Korea was on a hot streak
before this happened. But pino fasciitis is no joke. But
you know, at the same time, the office has got

(01:01:14):
to be the one that is going to decide what
to do because we can't keep having injuries.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
You know.

Speaker 10 (01:01:21):
Luckily Buckston is making his way back.

Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
Yeah, talking to Sherry Serni of Twins Daily dot com.
So is there any new Brett just said it and
I read the same thing this morning that he's working
up to make it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
But do we have any type of timetable that Roco's.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
Given us or anything like that, any expectation of when
Korea could be expected back in the lineup.

Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
Not at all.

Speaker 10 (01:01:41):
I did hear and see lingering rumors of he was
going to do some rehab games, So for me, I
thought that was kind of cool because hopefully that means
he goes to the same poll. I'm not quite sure
what that means for rehab game for him, but if
that's the case, get your same Paul Saints, take a
right now because you'll be able to see Korea for

(01:02:02):
a good.

Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
Price, right.

Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
And I believe Royce was just he hit a couple
of games for them just a couple of weeks ago.
So the Saint Paul Saints are benefiting from this from
that partnership with the Twins, and they're awesome over there
at the Saints. But back to the Twins and back
to this trade deadline thing, because it's it's just the
story that keeps on giving, and we're all obsessed with
it because it's it's classic Twins, it's classic pole Ads,
and we all want to rip them, of course, But

(01:02:26):
do you think is there any part of you that
genuinely thinks the Twins team with their current bullpen, with
their current lineup, Because as you mentioned when we the
last time we talked, we were talking about how there
was no bats, that they couldn't muster even a single
run in a lot of these games. And now the
bats are back, but we have a bunch of question
marks with the bullpen and with the starting pitching rotation.

(01:02:46):
Do you think this team? And I get it's kind
of hard to predict and baseball is so crazy. I
don't think anyone thought it was going to be Rangers
Diamondbacks in the World Series last year, and I get
teams can get hot, But on paper, do you think
this Twin, this Twins team is good enough to compete
with the likes of the Orioles and the Yankees and
Astros and Mariners and teams like that.

Speaker 10 (01:03:06):
Oh my god, Offensively, I do think we can with
our baths to be completely honest, guys, and I like,
I will take it on the chin. I just don't
see our bullpen being able to pull out and that
can compete with anybody. And I'm sorry, Like, I mean,

(01:03:30):
look at Cleveland's bullpen. They are phenomenal, and I know
there's this huge rivalry between us, but I don't know,
I I don't see that happening. I just I mean,
there'd have to be a lot of works that Pete
mackew would have to put into this team in order
to really get to a postseason.

Speaker 1 (01:03:50):
It breaks my heart to hear shere.

Speaker 10 (01:03:52):
I know, I'm sorry, you know, I'm like.

Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
The people on Twitter now I hate you know, I'm sorry.

Speaker 10 (01:04:00):
Well, I think we can compete better with watching the
Orioles fall in the Yankees go up. I think there
is some hope, and baseball is based on lock. I
mean there's a lot to it, so I mean maybe,
but yeah, on paper, no, I just don't see it.
You guys, and I do love you, and I'm still tired.

Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
We love you too. I appreciate the honesty.

Speaker 6 (01:04:20):
If it wasn't for the eight games against the Yankees
and Mets this year, the Twins would be twenty games
over five hundred, but they're still doing well enough to
stay ahead of teams like the White Sox, like Max mentioned,
but also the Kansas City Royals, who are doing a
great job this year cultivating young talent. Bobby Wits having
an MVP type season. He's one of my favorite players
to watch. They're currently said a half game behind the Twins,

(01:04:42):
and they both said about five or six games behind
the Indians. So while it is technically a Pennant race
here with two months to go, it now is a
three team race rather than a two.

Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:04:52):
I the Royals have been, unfortunately on my mind more
than Cleveland because you're right fitting six and a half,
well now five and a half back. You know, I
don't feel like we're going to catch up, but I
really want to, especially when we play them, that's gonna
you know, that's going to be the determining factor. But
now we have the Royals, and oh my god, are

(01:05:17):
they on another hot street? You know, looking at them,
looking at Houston, looking at all these teams that started
out slow and now they're just killing it in the front.
It's like, oh my god, I'm not I'm not sure
that I can handle the stress of trying to catch
Cleveland while trying to fend off the Royals. So we've
really got to figure it out with our pitching. That's
really luckily when we do pitch well, we keep people

(01:05:41):
the two three runs right. But then we just have
those games where we fall apart in that part of
it too. That's just baseball. But yeah, I Bobbywoot Junior
is not my favorite human right now.

Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
But yes, yeah, I mean I've said it on these
airways before the season started. I'm like, hey, el Central
might as well be a red car for the Twins
who do just walk right into the playoffs?

Speaker 1 (01:06:02):
And boy was I wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
Yeah, seriously, it's a cutthroat division. I'm very curious to
see how it all plays out in the end that
I'm sure we'll talk to you sometime before then. Last
question for you today, Sherry, I didn't get a chance
to see the Maher Hall of Fame celebration yesterday and
all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:06:23):
How did that go? And just a kind of a
side question.

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
Is there anybody on this current Twins roster that you
think someday will be enshrined in Cooperstown? Oh?

Speaker 10 (01:06:32):
Oh, I love that question. Unfortunately I was not there
in person, but one of my very close friends was
there and she said it was absolutely phenomenal. She got
the Joe Mauer buzz. She thought it was fantastic. She
actually saw his Minnesota induction, his Cooper's count induction, and
then was at the game yesterday. So huge Joe Mauer
fan shado out to brief for being at all three

(01:06:53):
of those. But yeah, it sounds like people had a
lot of fun. Sounds like he's snuck in there and
then ended up taking some pictures. People just love to
love Joe Mauer. So absolutely, he is someone that embodies
everything that fans love and Minnesota baseball. But in the future,
that one, that one's hard because what do you think

(01:07:16):
of you know, when you think of that, well, Max
Kepler has the most longevity, but does he have the numbers?
You know, when we talk about numbers, but then we
look at kids coming up, like Roy Fluis for Flee,
it really is hard to say because they're babies. So
I mean I want to say, yes, Okay, here we go,
Baily over. Let's just take a small sample size of

(01:07:39):
his past eight starts that have been phenomenal, and let's
just keep that going, and let's say maybe he turns
into the next Johanson Hannah, and you know, I don't
know it's you guys, it's baseball, so we'll guess. Let's
wait and see.

Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
Well, it's unpredictable. There's some rare positivity from you there, Sherry.
We appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
We'll settle for theiana with this pot.

Speaker 10 (01:08:06):
Listen, I'm trying. I'm trying to give the fans what
they want, the optimism, the fuzzy feelings, all the hugs,
and a little less reality to hopefully pull out through
the rest of the season.

Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
Well, you do give us here at worst case scenario,
the fuzzy feelings.

Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
Sherry. We appreciate you joining us today.

Speaker 10 (01:08:24):
You too, have a good day, guys.

Speaker 1 (01:08:25):
Yeah you too, Sharry.

Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
That is Sharyserney of Twins Daily dot Com some of
the best, if not the best Twins coverage in all
of the land, helmed by our friend John Bonus, the
Twins geek himself.

Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
So I head to Twins Daily dot com if you
want to catch up on all the latest Twins.

Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
News, and head to Worst case Scenario if you want
to catch up on Summer Slam, which is exactly what
we'll be doing around the corner, and then we'll close
out the show with the fan favorite segment up Brett
Blake Moore, what do the polls say right now about
the fan favorite segment?

Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
What are we going to be just.

Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
Well, we're not going to talk about twelve rounds because
Worst Movies Ever is in the lead with fifty three
percent of the vote.

Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Okay, I may be giving a movie review to close
out the show.

Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
The polls are still open.

Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
Head to cafe at cafe and one zero zero three
on Twitter slash ex if you want to change the
outcome of the final segment of the show, but around
the corner you can't change that. We're talking summer slam
on Worst Case Scenario pen ultimate segment of worst case

(01:09:46):
Scenario for the week, fear not. Yes, we will be back,
same time, same place next week, but I can't say
same place after that because we're having not one, but
two two shows at the Minnesota State Fair.

Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
Live shows.

Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
You get to see our ugly mugs in the flesh
eleven am to one p m both of the Sundays
of the Minnesota State Fair.

Speaker 1 (01:10:16):
So a couple of back Yeah, I have news for you. Oh,
it's not two hour show. What three hours? WHOA both
of them?

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
Right?

Speaker 8 (01:10:28):
Both shows jumbo. It's like when you get the extra
filling in the areo. It's a it's a jumbo, back
to back jumbo editions of worst case scenario, and that
probably will be.

Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
Our our our bid ado, our swan song are farewell,
are walking off into the sunset until the football season
is over, because we will happily bow out of the way.
The Minnesota Vikings of Purple and Gold were all happy
to have them back.

Speaker 4 (01:10:55):
I did double check the schedule just because I wanted to.

Speaker 6 (01:10:57):
Make are we preempted by Vikings Giants week one B?

Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:11:04):
Well, well yes we are, Yes we are, but I
don't have it that far ahead. But the State Fair,
we have two shows, both Sundays, and they are both
three hours.

Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
There, Okay, the twelve of you that listened to us
every week, if you want to come out and show
us some love worst case he right, Yes, we will
be representing for the fan at the State Fair and
we will be coming to talk to you if you're
out in the audience. We'll have lots of listeners. Led
bits cannot wait for that, But that's in the future.

Speaker 1 (01:11:35):
We're in the now, but we actually want to talk
about the past.

Speaker 2 (01:11:38):
Yes, yesterday, WWE Summer Slam, as I mentioned earlier in
the show, perhaps the most eventful event that WWE has
had throughout the year. Four title changes, lots of betrayals,
all types of storylines galore. There's a million different places
to start, but let's start with the main event.

Speaker 6 (01:11:57):
Yeah, No, I think I think the main event was
was absolutely fantastic and Cody were absolutely and when you
look at all the players involved, and our guest hit
on it so so poignantly, is that Roman Reigns stole
the show?

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
Well, in one second, let me set the table here,
but he I'm sorry, he was.

Speaker 1 (01:12:17):
He was part of the match and I really enjoyed
start to finish.

Speaker 6 (01:12:19):
But and we'll kind of break down the parts of it,
but yes, Cody was putting the belt.

Speaker 1 (01:12:23):
On the line again.

Speaker 7 (01:12:25):
Again.

Speaker 6 (01:12:26):
So the new chief, the new tribal chief, the new
head of the bloodline, and yeah, things things ensued.

Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
Yeah, and Roman Reigns made his triumphant return. As we
kind of.

Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
Discussed, it seemed like the crowd was they were waiting
for it the whole time. We were all kind of
anticipating for it. Yeah, like they they started mentioning his
name a lot more on TV, so it kind of
seemed like that was going to happen. And then just
what a moment, I mean, a multi year long rivalry
between Cody and Roman for them to kind of have
that moment where he ends up helping you, Cody at
the end and they have that stare down like, yeah,

(01:12:58):
I did that for you, but don't get used to it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
Play I'll met your neck next.

Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
So I'm super excited, But I got a question to
ask you, guys, because after that, obviously there's multiple paths
that the WW can take, and I think they'll end
up taking all of those roads. But are you more
interested in Cody Roman three? Are you more interested in
Bloodline Civil War? Because I'm all in on the Bloodline
Civil War. I do think we're gonna get and again,
I don't think we have to choose. I think both

(01:13:23):
of those things are happening, but I'm more I think
the immediate pivot for them is to go Bloodline Civil War.
You have Solo Sokoa and his new cohorts. Yep, you
got Roman Reins will probably enlist both Jay and Jimmy
Uso and perhaps even Sammy Zain to reunite that bloodline
as babyfaces. So I'm super interested in that. I do

(01:13:44):
think eventually we'll get Cody versus Roman three. I think
that's inevitable. But I think the Bloodline civil war is
the way to go, and I think that's what they've
been building towards.

Speaker 1 (01:13:51):
First of the whole new bootleg blood Plum. I want
to give you guys credit.

Speaker 6 (01:13:54):
First of all, I thought that Roman was going to
come back, either at Survivor series or maybe at Royal Rumple.
You both thought that there was a distinct possibility that
he would. No, I'm just I'm just saying I think
you guys were right, and I do.

Speaker 1 (01:14:07):
Think Boodline rules coming.

Speaker 6 (01:14:10):
And the second that they announced, well, that's what I
was getting to Max, is that the next paper, one
of the next paper premium.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Live events is Bad Blood.

Speaker 6 (01:14:18):
So when you factor in that title of the quote
unquote pay per view now premium live event that's been
kind of in hibernation for the better part of two
decades and they bring that back, the name of it
just kind of fits with the Bloodline for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
I do want to see that I think we're going
to see that.

Speaker 6 (01:14:35):
We're going to see a lot of tag team matches
with a bunch of these on different sides. We can
see a lot of six man tags. But I think
it will wind up one day with Cody against Roman again.
But for now they're going to join forces and I
think for the for the better part of the rest
of this year, that's how the storyline is going to
play out.

Speaker 1 (01:14:53):
Brett.

Speaker 4 (01:14:54):
Yeah, War Games is almost assuredly Bloodlin Civil War. Well,
you can book it right now if you if you're
buying your take, that's what it's gonna be, and which
is good, Like I'm not ripping it at all, Like
that's what it should be.

Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
That's just where the direction are going.

Speaker 4 (01:15:07):
I was kind of disappointed with the match itself a
little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
Cody and Solo, Yeah, I left it left a.

Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Little bit to be I think in terms of in
ring action, it was a high bar last night. But
I do think that was the worst in ring match.
I'm not saying it's a bad match. I just think
that I just think that they were better matches last night.

Speaker 4 (01:15:25):
I just think I'm such a I had such a
Cody stand too. You would think that I would just
love everything that he does, which I mostly do. I
just felt like it was a lot of offense for Solo.
I felt like he dominated like ninety percent of it,
and then Cody just basically Superman kicked out of everything.
I wish it was a little bit more balanced. But
the problem with the Bloodline match or the Bloodline rules

(01:15:47):
is that and Russell Maney had the same thing. I
just I just like the in ring action more was
that you know something's gonna happen, you know someone's gonna
come out, right, So it just it doesn't Bill I think, yeah, yeah,
so there's no real stake on. Oh, Cody just hit
a Cody Cutter and he's pinning him because you know
in the back of your head, well, someone has to
come out or else why would they make it bloodline rules?

(01:16:08):
So it kind of it felt like twenty minutes of like,
all right, let's get our first guy coming out here,
let's get the Bloodline coming out here, let's get Kevin
Owens coming and then we can start having some steaks.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
So it kind of watered down the match.

Speaker 6 (01:16:20):
As I've explained to you and Max nos as an
ELEEF fantasy booker, you have to build to a crescendo.
You have to build the match to a finish. And
if you bring out the big guns early. I'm not
saying that they should have brought out Roman early on.
That's not what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (01:16:35):
Been a bloodline rules match, no I no, I thought
there was a RAF should have taken a bump.

Speaker 6 (01:16:39):
I thought there was a requisite amount of time where
they let a certain just them, the two of them
go on and on, and then you brought other players
into the mix, right like Kevin Owens. I thought that
was great. When he was I mean, you could see
he was moving pretty gingerly. He was he was not
at full strength, but he went in there and did
his job. And then obviously Jacob Fatu, which we can
get to in a second here. But I thought to

(01:17:00):
play I know you thought it took too long. I
actually thought it played out pretty well. The wrestling in
other matches, I would agree with you that there was
a lot better wrestling in some of the other matches.
But I thought the storyline, the way that it had
to play out, and the way they kind of extended
it to carry on with the Roman factor, I thought
was it was was well put together.

Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
I agree, and I think obviously, judging by the reaction
of the fans, that's exactly what the fans loved it. Yeah,
the drama was superb and I'm very curious to see
where they go from here with Cody. With Roman was
so low with the whole bootleg bloodline. And I saw
someone had a sign the other day that's a Tamu
blood line.

Speaker 1 (01:17:34):
That made me.

Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
That made me laugh a lot, and we could sit
and pick that apart the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (01:17:39):
Have audio of me when Roman Reigns came back.

Speaker 6 (01:17:42):
Oh yeah, you just don't get I just don't.

Speaker 1 (01:17:49):
You just don't don't it. I don't get right, but
I don't get it. But that's all understand But that's okay.
The rest of us were happy.

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
The rest of us were putting our ones in the
sky and acknowledging the true tribal chief OTC. One of
the other big matches of the night storyline wise was
Drew McIntyre versus CM Punk, another one that's been simmering
for I mean almost an entire year now since CM
Punk came back, his first in the ring match outside

(01:18:16):
of the rum, I mean, his first one on one match,
and over a decade in the w W since he
walked out on that fateful day, what I mean ten
to eleven years ago or something like that. I thought
the big takeaways from the match was brilliant. It was
brilliant storytelling in the ring. The right guy won because
Drew McIntyre was the one that got screwed over throughout

(01:18:36):
the entirety of this few and I thought Drew needs
it more. Seam Punk is a legend, he's bulletproof. He
doesn't need wins and losses. Drew McIntyre, it still matters.
And perhaps I would say the biggest takeaway from the
match for me, and if I'm a WW official, seam
Punk still got it. Yeah, Sam Punk has absolutely still
got it because I mean what it was, the last
two or three times he had been in the ring,
he had gotten injured. A lot of people were worried

(01:18:58):
about if his body could keep up, as especially the
way this match was built up to be this blood feud,
to be this giant payoff, this this really physical encounter,
and I thought they were able to do that without
having to sacrifice anything in terms of CM Punk's and
you know, and then fear of Cmpunk's health.

Speaker 1 (01:19:14):
I think he still got it in the ring.

Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
He's still one of the best in ring storytellers, not
just on the mic, but with his actions in the ring.
I thought it was a phenomenal match. I thought Seth
Rollins played his role as a special guest referee perfectly.
And there's the same thing with the Cody match, kind
of the same thing with all of these matches. There's
a million different ways so that they can go with
these storylines, and I think it's going to be super fascinating,
but we're obviously not done with CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.

(01:19:38):
It was a really good match, but they they left
some certain they left some room for it to be
an even better match down the line when they meet
up once again, whether that's one on one, whether that's
a three.

Speaker 1 (01:19:47):
Way with Seth, whatever it may be.

Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
But obviously we're not done with that whole trium for it,
and I think I don't think we should be.

Speaker 1 (01:19:54):
It was gold the older wrestlers.

Speaker 6 (01:19:56):
To your point about CM Punk, where he looked a
little slower, but he certainly got all his moves off
with with with little issue. And look at Randy Orton
at his kind of advanced age. These guys are closing
in on forty or maybe they are forty at this point,
and yeah, to tell you, maybe they're in the mid forties.

(01:20:16):
A guy like DDP, who we saw sitting in the
WWE Legends booth last night, got his start in his
mid thirties. So just shows you that these guys, even
though they're out of it for so long, or maybe
they get a late start or an all time legend
like Randy Orton who's been doing it forever and it
is one of the goats. It just goes to show
you that that you could still do it at that age.
And like you said, I thought Punk put on a

(01:20:37):
good match last night, and they really story.

Speaker 4 (01:20:40):
Told well Siam Punks. Some of the bumps he took
were unbelievable. Yeah, like he was taking a lot of
big time Like they did not protect him.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
No, they weren't trying to make it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
They were going at injured shoulder, bar peck or whatever
it was, but they were yeah, were they didn't sacrifice
anything in terms of protection.

Speaker 1 (01:20:59):
He took all the bumbs. It was.

Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
It was a brilliant match and I think I thought
it lived up to the hype it was. I mean
probably the most hyped up match on the card because
it's been building so long, and because, as we've discussed before,
that's we're still I at least I'm still unclear of
how much of it is real and how much how
much does you MacIntyre really hates the elbum?

Speaker 1 (01:21:18):
How much exactly?

Speaker 2 (01:21:21):
And that's when it's the best And I thought they
just they've been playing that storyline perfectly since Punk came back.

Speaker 1 (01:21:26):
He's still got it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
It was a brilliant match, perhaps one of the best
of the night, but I mean there was There's so
many different moments from last night, including several moments involving
the Judgment Day and just the overall implosion of the
Judgment Day was teased many a time, but the Judgment
Day seemingly is no more after Dirty Dominic Mysterio betrayed,

(01:21:49):
Rhea Ripley, getting to kiss Live Morgan and just Lucky.
It's hard seeing people live out your dreams, you know,
like life's not fair.

Speaker 1 (01:21:57):
He's getting to hang out with Ria Ripley, He's getting
to hang out live more again, I mean hanging out.

Speaker 2 (01:22:02):
I mean it just really makes you hate the guy,
you know, Like I got real heat for Dominique mysterio.

Speaker 1 (01:22:07):
He's living out his.

Speaker 2 (01:22:07):
Dad's a w W Hall of Famer. He's just he's
living the life. He betrays Rhea for live to retain.
Finn betrays Damian priest in order to get his first championship.
I know Fit is your guy. You'd have some strong
opinions about this. I do.

Speaker 4 (01:22:24):
And Gun should have won that, by the way, for sure,
absolutely the right, especially going to Berlin next month.

Speaker 1 (01:22:30):
Yes, at the end of this month, I believe.

Speaker 4 (01:22:32):
Do you think because I wanted Finn, I was begging
Finn to turn on him, to be his own guy,
but I wanted him to turn babyface, to turn back
into the old Finn of like his prime. I think
he turned more heel. I think like both Dom and
Finn were heels that then turned heel, which is kind
of like, huh, well, I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
Know that they had already kind of. I mean, Rhea
is functionally a baby face anyways. The only thing that
made her a heel was her relationship with Dom.

Speaker 1 (01:23:01):
The crowd.

Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
The crowds are channing Tommy all around the world. Yeah,
like Rias as one of the most oldest over anybody
with the crowd, so that she was already and Damien,
thanks to Gunter, basically call him a broke mofo.

Speaker 1 (01:23:17):
Pretty much.

Speaker 2 (01:23:19):
I mean Damien was functionally a baby face as well.
So I think they just fully established those hard lines.
And now, yeah, well I'm interested to see where that
plays out.

Speaker 6 (01:23:30):
I understand them taking the belt and putting it on Gunter,
but just as a general topic, I'm not a huge
fan of them taking the belt, putting it on somebody
and then taking it off them, you know, less than
six months later.

Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
I mean, did just cash.

Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
Also, I think if you follow arbitrary rules like that,
then it gets boring. Then it's like then it's like, okay,
well it's too early for Priestly, he's never going to
lose because it's it's it's this early.

Speaker 1 (01:23:55):
I think he had a pretty short run though it's
over one hundred days. It was over one hundred days.

Speaker 2 (01:24:02):
That's fair.

Speaker 1 (01:24:03):
I just and he beat Seth Rollins.

Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
Yeah he wanted he wanted that beat Seth, and I
think that was offended at three or four times, and
I think he was prominently I think it did exactly
what you would want it to do. When Damien won,
I think a lot of people are like, I don't
know if he's ready to be the main event guy.
I think Damien proved throughout these last couple of months
he's ready to be a main event guy.

Speaker 1 (01:24:25):
It's more like an audition, a trial run. He got it.

Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
We all already knew as soon as Gunther won King
of the Ring and they said he's guaranteed to match,
he's not losing. We already knew was going to win.
So it was either him or Seth that was going
to lose it soon. So I think Damien Priest got
That's exactly how you would want his run to go.

Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
It elevated him.

Speaker 2 (01:24:42):
The crowd is behind him now, which they weren't reacting
to him at all initially when he wanted I think
I I think it's I think it was the right
move and it was the perfect amount of length because
if he would have beat gn THRO, I I just
think that would have been stupid.

Speaker 6 (01:24:55):
Not a gender Mahaal type situation. When they when they
made him champ basically to get a bunch of worldwide reach,
and he.

Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
Was just awful on the mic and off on the
ring and just an awful champion. Oh yeah, Damian maybe
the worst champion Apple.

Speaker 6 (01:25:07):
I love Damian That's why I say that, because I
just think it was too short a rain. I love
him on the mic, I love his personal I love
the way he kind of commands Judgment day. We'll see
what happens tonight on Raw in the aftermath, excuse me,
tomorrow night on Raw in the aftermath, and I think
it should be very entertaining.

Speaker 2 (01:25:20):
It should be very entertaining. There's a million more things
that happened on the card, but we gotta save a
little bit of time for the fan favorite segment. I
know I'm notorious for not leaving us a lot of
time for the fan favorite segment, and that seems to
be the case once again today.

Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
And I believe we're getting a movie review from wa
Is that true? Bred Blakemore? The polls closed, You've done it.

Speaker 9 (01:25:41):
You wantratulations look at that to relive all of the
uh I mean, I guess glory.

Speaker 2 (01:25:52):
That was Trap, directed by m Night Shyamalan, a movie
that just came out last week. It may have been
the worst movie I've ever in my entire life. More
about that after the commercial break, fidal.

Speaker 1 (01:26:20):
Segment of horset Case scenario.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
Sometimes the off air stuff Max is more entertaining than
the on air stuff. But I'm fired up right now, Yes,
because I said I was gonna review one of the
worst movies that I've ever seen. Trap just came out
in theaters last week, starring one of our own, Josh Harden,
who was phenomenal. Happy to see him back. He's in
everything these days now. He took a break, I think

(01:26:43):
from acting. Yep, I'm not sure. I'm not sure the
story behind that. I'm sure there's some reason, but he
was I mean, he's an Oppenheimer. He's in the Bear
and now he's in the Night. He's a great actor,
but he was in a terrible movie. And I'm gonna
give this movie review. And we only got a couple
of minutes left to the show, but someone texted in,
it's the same guy. Oh my god, No, this might
be like bizarro Max, you know and Superman. We had

(01:27:04):
the bizarro Superman was like the reverse Superman. This might
be bizarrero mass because this guy says Pooty Tang is
the worst movie of all time, and.

Speaker 1 (01:27:13):
Then also followed that up with saying Undercover Brother.

Speaker 2 (01:27:16):
Brother is probably the worst movie of all time. I'm
not joking. I had three copies of Undercover Brother on
bid as a kid, three copies because I loved it
that I'm not even doing the bit, I legit. I
still have multiple copies of Undercover Brother, just in case
you lost one.

Speaker 1 (01:27:33):
I thought I lost one, and then I found the other.

Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
One, and then yeah, it's it's a whole thing. But
I have three copies of Undercover Brother. I've seen it
more than most movies I've ever seen in my life.
And Pooty Tang is a timeless, yes, timeless classic.

Speaker 1 (01:27:46):
Well, Pooty Tang not only faced, he's ready to rip
our faces off. That's how Angry and Patrick.

Speaker 2 (01:27:55):
I've never heard of the I've heard of them. I've definitely,
I've literally never heard of I've seen Undercover Brother, and
I choose not to see it again. Yeah, you agreed
with the Texter said what you said Booty tag was terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
Yeah, I just it was. It was you guys aren't real.

Speaker 6 (01:28:14):
Actually mentioned white chicks to you, and I said, oh,
how a movie that was.

Speaker 1 (01:28:17):
The movie's hilarious?

Speaker 6 (01:28:20):
Are you elected in the nineties? Just give me copping
a half with Burt Reynolds and a little kid. You
guys don't know to movies Booty Tag and Undercover Brother.

Speaker 1 (01:28:34):
It looks like parody movies. They don't even look like
real movies.

Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
Sorry, sorry, okay, that's just tell the most of you guys,
we can all agree.

Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
I mean think it should have won Oscars. It should
have won My God, it should have swept razzies.

Speaker 4 (01:28:53):
Perhaps actually got a minute and ten seconds trap.

Speaker 2 (01:28:56):
You're I think this whole segment was a trap. That's
all Legit is one of the worst movies of all time.
It's the whole synopsis of it is very silly. Basically,
that world's that movie's version of Taylor Swift, the biggest
pop star in that world, holds a concert just to

(01:29:18):
capture a serial killer, which the police don't know anything
about the serial killer except for the fact that he's
the const concert, which doesn't make any sense at all.
I will suspend my disbelief. Clearly, I love Booty Tanging
Undercover Brother. Thank you for the texting. Who just texts
it in said they're both fantastic. I will suspend my disbelief.
But Trap is just too ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (01:29:40):
It's so bad.

Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
I would recommend going to see it because my face
hurt from laughing.

Speaker 1 (01:29:44):
It was functionally a comedy.

Speaker 6 (01:29:47):
It can't be worse than sitting there and seeing ninety
minutes of a guy standing in a phone booth in
a movie called Phone Booth.

Speaker 1 (01:29:53):
So that was probably the worst movie I've ever seen.

Speaker 6 (01:29:55):
To add to those, but just an awful premise that
you said about the trap.

Speaker 2 (01:30:00):
Well, we'll be back, same time, same place next week.
Hopefully these two and you and the audience will have
learned a little bit more about film history and classic
movies like Pooty Tang An Undercover Brother.

Speaker 1 (01:30:11):
I'll see y'all next week. Peace,
