(00:00):
Welcome back to the Young and Unscriptedpodcast Happy Tuesday. Yay, we're back.
So today we are going to talkabout Outside Lends because they just dropped
their sty list. We're gonna talkabout Hailey Bieber possibly being insecure about Sabrina
Carpenter. Megan the Stallion has somemajor news breaking news yup, and Sweedi
(00:26):
responded to Quavo's disc and we'll talkabout our weekends and what we did.
So let's start with Hailey Bieber beinginsecure about Sabrina Carpenter. So I didn't
really know that this was going onuntil I saw like a little article about
it, yeah, like an hourago. And it seems that Hailey Bieber
had I guess we're assuming it washer. It might have been somebody on
(00:50):
her team that had reposted Sabrina Carpenter'spicture to her brand's Instagram, so both
to the page and to the storyand now, and then it was quickly
deleted after Yeah, and people arespeculating that she deleted the post after justin
(01:11):
Bieber and Sabrina had followed each otheron Instagram. So this could just be
Sabrina Carpenter's team being like, oh, we don't approve of you resharing this
to the because it's it's which iswhich would be weird. Oh and actually
like essentially because it's a business pageand not Hailey's personal page, that could
(01:32):
be thing. That's another another theory. But I feel like people are going
to try to make this into abigger thing and say that Hailey Bieber is
jealous of Sabrina Carpenter because Sabrina Carpenteris you know, yes, she is.
I love her. I know Idid too, She's her vibe just
looks amazing. I actually heard thestreets. I heard the streets. The
(01:53):
streets were saying that Hailey Bieber wasa little bit of insecure with like Justin
Bieber following Subrinic Carpenter because obviously likethe posts that she picks the Pope.
Can we start work? Not notliterally, not literally, but I remember
we starts. I'm like, we'rejust gonna call it a dangle. Yeah,
(02:15):
today is Tuesday, but it's Monday, okay, rewind rewinds, Okay,
So Hailey Baber. People think thatHailey Beaber is insecure about Jessin Bieber
following Subrenic Carpenter because of the stuffthat superand Carpenter posts like she's really she's
like we said, she's an itgirl. She's her dressing is immaculate,
like she's her outfits are on point, literally, like she's looking like she's
(02:38):
cute. So a lot of peoplehave discovered that when Subrinic Carpenter posts something,
Hailey Bieber will like post like eitherthe same thing that she does,
like the same pose, or likekind of have a similar outfit. So
a lot of people are like interestHailey Bieber something going on. Maybe I
(02:59):
have to take a look at HaileyBieber's Instagram because I don't follow her.
Yeah, but anyways, I'll dothat later. Okay, Like would you
though, as would you be ifyou're in Hailey Beeber's place, would you
be insecure about your man following likesomebody like a britty Carboner. No,
because they're artists, like they workin the same realm. But I'm saying
(03:20):
like even if you were, likeif you were Hailey Baber and your husband's
justin Bieber, would you feel sometype of way of him following her?
Like you're all artists, like you'reall the same thing, like in their
yeah, their situation. Okay,if I was in their situation, Well,
I think I would feel a littlebit insecure. I'm not gonna lie,
you think, because the only thingI can think of is because I
(03:42):
know people are gonna talk, andbecause I know that Hailey Bieber and if
I'm in her shoes, I knowthat people are already talking about my relationship
and looking at it through a magnifyingass. So I think that's why I'd
be like, oh, dang, people are gonna people are gonna make something
bigger out of this. But Ithink because of what she posts and stuff,
well because I okay, while shedoes post stuff that is kind of
(04:03):
revealing, I feel like it's nothingcompared to other Instagram models or other artists
that post even like more naked stuff. Okay, So I think if it
was like him, you know, following and liking stuff that was like the
naked instagram s. Th No,but a naked like Instagram model versus like
an artist. Okay, okay,no, but I mean if if no,
(04:25):
no, no, if if SabrittaCarpenter was naked naked or something like
that. But I does that makesense? Yeah, I know it does,
it does? I don't know.Maybe I'm just so super insecure that
I would definitely because Sabritta Carpenter,like I said, she's she's hot.
So like, if my husband wasfollowing somebody like that, I'd just be
like, hey, what's going on? Like unless they had a song together
(04:46):
or something. But I don't know, I wouldn't. I can't lie.
Something would be like, I'm notreally liking this, but do you think
it would come from you or itwould come from you see the response?
I think both. Okay, yeah, yeah, I mean I can see
that. You know. I thinkcelebrities, like I said, they're already
(05:08):
under like a big microscope. Yeah, so I think it can be tough
for your relationship to be out therelike that and for people to criticize every
single little thing. So I thinkthat would be the main thing that I
would consider and be like, well, you know, you know, people
are gonna talk, So if thistruly means nothing, and if if you're
saying, like you know, you'rejust following just I don't know, to
(05:29):
follow a colleague or whatever, thenlike is it necessary if people are going
to talk and create you know, all of these stories about us, But
I don't know anyways, Megan theStallion what's happening. Oh my goodness.
So I was, you know, just growing through TikTok right now and I
just see like this art or thispost and at first ask Jazz like is
this real? Because I don't knowif it was legit or not, but
(05:53):
a lot of people are reporting onit, so it has to be so
it's says that Making the Stallion's formerphotographer, Amelia Garcia, filed a new
lawsuit against her, accusing her ofharassment in a hostile work environment after alleging
that he was chapped inside a movingcar with her in a Biza while she
had sex with a woman back inJune twenty twenty two. So pretty much,
(06:17):
Oh my gosh. The photographer Garciasays that the alleged the alleged incident,
he was worned, don't ever discusswhat you saw and respiraated, fat
shamed and treated differently by Megan theStallion. The harassment was so severe or
persuasive that it created a hostile, abusive work environment that made his working conditions
(06:40):
intolerable. Oh no, you knowwhat this REMI I feel like I'm getting
flashbacks of the whole Lizzo lines.People are saying like this is all this
is the Lizzle part two and thathe also he said that she also like
fat shamed him and called him likea fat bitch, which I'm just like,
Mega Stallion, what has Like Idon't see her saying those words,
(07:01):
but like Fashiaming, it's crazy work. What do you think? I don't
know, Like I want so manythoughts and opinions on this, but I
feel like we're gonna talk about thismore tomorrow tomorrow Morning Jamie Show. I
think, but I would hope thatit's not true. I hope so I
really then I feel like what youwere reading earlier to me was like all
(07:23):
very specific. Yeah, and foryou to you know, want to pay
all this money to hire a lawyerand to go through with this lawsuit against
a celebrity who you know has agood lawyer, Like you might go a
good lawyer, you might have likesome some stuff to back that up.
Yeah, And it just sucks becauselike I trying to get heront of the
benefit of doubt or like just likeokay, like this, how did this
(07:45):
situation play out? So I'm assumingthat she was drunk because like I don't
know, I just don't see makingthis sound doing that soberly, like the
car like it's weird too. Idon't know, it's just it just sucks,
like I wish she didn't do this, and she did allegedly. Don't
know if he's sure or not,but it's just like damn, like he
really was just there and suing thatand she didn't care that, Like,
(08:11):
oh, wait, what do youmean, So you're saying he shouldn't sue
No, no, no, no, it just not that he's not no,
because he is an employee, soobviously, like if you put it
in our situation, we would notbe happy if our boss decided just to
do it. No, are youkidding me? Yeah? So I can
so definitely. Yeah. And Ijust feel like celebrities feel like they get
away with a lot of stuff andthat's why they do it, Like you
(08:33):
forget that these people, like, yeah, they might be cool with you,
like, oh, you guys canhave fun and drink, but at
the end of the day, they'reyour employees, like you hire them,
so you have to have a professionalrelationship with and boundaries and boundaries having Like
that's what I feel like she wasdrunk because there's no way but I think
it's I think if the and againthis is not me saying like she's guilty
(08:54):
or she's not guilty of this.We will find out once everything, yeah,
plays out. But if the scenariodid happen that way, and he's
explaining that there were more instances ofhim being like, well you can't talk
about her telling him like you can'ttalk about this, is you better blah
blah blah blah, then I'm like, Okay, she might have been like
(09:16):
you're saying, if she was drunkduring the incident. I don't think she
was drunk every time talking to him, So I think if there were other
instances of her telling him like shutyour mouth, yeah, she might have
been, so you think. SoI just know because I feel like I
don't mean sober and like in duringthe incident. But I'm saying, like
(09:39):
you knew what happened, and sothen she would be like shut your mouth
yeah, because they said she hadshe was having sex with a girl.
So maybe I don't know. Maybethat's why she also didn't want to get
out, because like she don't wantpeople to criticize her. Yeah, I
don't know. Whatever it is makingthe sound, it's not looking good.
For you sis, and you gota tour coming up like this, look
(10:00):
you real bad or real bad? It's like you like we can't get to
break with you, like it wasthe Tory Laane situation that took literally like
five Oh my gosh, you thinkthat this is gonna take a long time
too, probably because the Tory Lanesituation happened in what twenty twenty and we
didn't get a verdict to like twentytwenty three or something like that. Because
that guy played out for so long. I think it's gonna be maybe a
(10:24):
little less than that, but Ithink it's gonna be a while. Yeah.
Wow, dang, it's not lookinggood for you. Mag I should
believe she, I don't know. It's like the proof and the facts that
she didn't do. Yeah. Atfirst, when I first read the article,
I thought it was he had tokeep she forced him to, she
forced him to record it. Butno, he was just there to witness
(10:46):
it, which is crazy. Youguys know, why's in a hotel room
or like wherever you guys had togo. You got to do it right
now, or like drop him off, you know, if you're in the
car, drop him off. Yeah, go shopping dude something else and then
I guess sand that so it isso weird though, like what I'm just
(11:07):
you never mind, I'm not evento go into it. We're moving on.
So we oh yeah, oh waitdid we? Yeah? You skipped
her. I was gonna tell youthe first time, you know, okay,
let me tell you just before wegot on, justs like, okay,
you got the Outside Lands thing ready, and I was like yeah,
and then she went into yeah andI was like, okay, maybe next
(11:28):
time, and then he said, making the sound okay, maybe later.
Sorry. I forgot, I thinkbecause I mentioned it when I was like,
we're going to talk about blah blahblah, and then it completely slipped
my mind. Go ahead, allright, so real quick, Outside Lands
they just announced there, I guessthere. Their artists line up, whoo,
so this is gonna be super fun. I forget Alside Lands is usually
(11:48):
in September, right, I thinkit's I think so yeah. So there's
a couple of names that we playhere on Wild's which is really cool.
So, uh, Teddy Swims isgonna be there, Renee Rap, Victoria
Monet, the Creators now alegra whichis just my favorite schoolboy Q and a
couple other people that I'm not reallyOh, post Malone is going to be
(12:11):
doing a special country set, whichis going to be interesting because I know
he's been in the studio with acouple of country artists like Morgan Wallan who
got arrested. Yeah he's Morgan havingBut that's actually a collaboration that I was
looking forward to because Morgan Wallen isas he's got some good songs. I
liked one of his songs, butthen he's kind of problematic for me,
(12:31):
so I didn't want to like thesong, but I did. But I
think that's the only song I listento him for. Maybe Postmalone song too,
But and then you know, hejust did a collaboration collaboration with Taylor
Swift. Taylor Swift, but thatwasn't a country song. And if they
say anybody that I think can likeswitch back and forth between country and pop,
(12:52):
it's postmal okay, But can wejust talk about post malonecook? We
are talking about him, but likehe's just genre hops. I feel like
he went hip hop and then kindof erased that like rap, He kind
of erased his identity with rap andthen went to pop and then now country.
So it's just like, but Ithink he there's not many artists that
can do that and can do itwell, and I think he is one
(13:13):
of the very few. Yeah,I just see my opinion. I just
impost with like the black community theydon't really like that because oh really,
Yeah, they don't like when whenartists like they'll kind of try to fit
in with like the black like blackculture, like with rap and stuff,
and then when it's when it whenthey got to their success or when they
(13:33):
no longer lead it, they kindof like disregard it and then go to
a different thing. So that's howa lot of like the black community feels,
oh about him. Yeah, they'relike kind of switched up on him.
They kind feel kind of hurt aboutthat. But do you think that
he has kind of dabbled in popand well, I guess country now or
(13:54):
he's about to. But do youthink he also kind of goes back to
hip hop a little bit? Inot that I've seen. You don't feel
like, not yet at least becauseI know his Like if you look at
his older older songs like White IEverson, Yeah, that one and then
some other songs. I can't reallyremember, and then from like Sunflower to
I mean, his songs are hits, it's just definitely a different genre.
(14:18):
And you don't you don't see himdoing it, like he had the braids
going down. Then it has likekind of a cleaner shave. So yeah,
I could see. I could seeit a little bit. That's interesting.
I never thought about it that way. And then who else that was
like the bigger names that I've Iknow, but we have Mimi Webb.
(14:39):
He's gonna be there. She's fromthe UK. She's super nice. And
it looks oh Tyler's gonna be theretoo. I know she's gonna have like
a great performance. It looks likeit's happening in August August ninth through the
eleventh. Oh see, I wenton our because we also posted on Wild's
(15:00):
pages. Oh and tickets gone tilltomorrow time. Yeah, wow, that's
fast. So let's see if wecan go. That sounds fun. I
feel like that would be the best. Yeah, it has it there,
it doesn't. Yeah, it's likereally small though, like you can't really
see. It's like a shape oflike a flower or something. So I
(15:22):
did not see it, but yeah, it sounds fun. Is there any
other festivals that you're like wanting togo to. I'm gonna be honest with
you, I'm not really a hugefestival person. Because I went to one
back in twenty twenty one, Ibelieve it was they Lost and Rhythm Festival.
So it was like a lot ofafrobeats and stuff, which really cool
to see all those artists. However, I just don't like the festival environment
(15:45):
because well, at least the areathat I was in in Sacramento is also
where so Bloom is. It's like, first of all, it's all concrete,
so it's like very uncomfortable to likewalk, and it's hot as hell.
Limited amount of water there was likethe day that we went there was
like a it was it called astampede, so like it not a lot.
(16:06):
A lot of people could leave atthe scene. Like it was just
it was just bad. So I'mnot really a festival person. Plus,
everything is so expensive like this thefood and stuff, and then the stage
is just so far and then youwant to see your favorite artists, it's
like it's just a lot. Ijust rather pay money and see the artists
that I like individually. Yeah,I actually I like festivals, but as
(16:27):
the years go by and festivals geta little crazier and sometimes sometimes disorganized,
not other times. I think that'swhat like turns me off to them a
little bit. But oh my god, Cali Roots is a reggae festival.
I want to go, so thatone is a Monterey and that one happens
every year like around me. Yeah, oh my god, so much fun.
(16:52):
I just feel like that vibe therebecause no offense to reggae and stuff.
I feel like a lot of themdo smoke a lot of weed,
So I feel like the vibes therejust be very chill, very relaxed,
have good music. I feel likeit's gonna be like a very like low
key, like you know, likeyou're just they're mellow mellow there. Yeah,
it's just it's super super fun.I think this is gonna be maybe
(17:14):
like my fifth or sixty year goingbecause every year, well before I met
my boyfriend, I was already going. Yeah, and he was too,
which is crazy because we could haveprobably ran into each other. But who
knows that, you know, ifyou ever took picture, he's in the
background. That's scary, like tothink that you that we could have met
(17:36):
earlier something. Yeah, it's crazy, but ever since we started dating,
like, that's also something that we'vedone together. So it's just such a
fun tradition festival. If you area reggae music fan, you would love
it. Is anybody Marley's people,Marley the Marley's gonna be there too,
(17:56):
I'm pretty sure, Like Skip Marlee, Oh my god, that's mom Man
and I gotta see him. CaliRoots, Calie Roots. Okay, So
ice Cube is going to be therethis year. Oh yeah, they have
the lineup right here. I'm ontheir Instagram. So they have stick Figure.
(18:18):
Oh stick Figure is They're good?Okay, So Ziggy Marley forty is
going to be there and too Short. Oh that's gonna be so lit.
J Bug, the lo Ovaders,Elvaders, I don't know. Yeah,
maybe don't read all the names forme. I know. I was like,
oh, Ice Yeah, you're right, ice Cube. Oh Loupe Fiesco.
I haven't heard about him in along time. He was like a
one hit wonder long time. Yeah, Oh that sounds so fun. It's
(18:42):
three days. Wow, wow,I heard. The tickets are a little
pricey though, but they do kindof get up there. Last year they
did four days instead of three,so it's pretty crazy. And did you
stay out in Monterey for those threedays? I don't remember what I did
last year. I think last yearwas only I don't know if we went
(19:03):
all three days or just two,but actually I think we might have gone
all three days. But there isso revolution. They're the ones that I
I don't even I feel like everytime I say it, yeah, I
say it really weird, but Isay everything really weird. So it's fine.
(19:25):
But they, if you haven't listenedto them, are the ones that
you need to listen to put onthe most amazing show ever every year,
like it just gets packed for everybodythat wants to see them because it's just
the best. Yeah. So Ilooked at the GA tickets for three days
is three hundred and thirty dollars. That's not that bad. I thought it
(19:47):
was a little bit more for threedays. Yeah, it's like one hundred
and ten dollars a day. Yeah. So there have been some years where
you just kind of are like, you know what, these are the main
artists that I want to see.Let me just buy like a one d
Yeah that's day pass or yeah, actually yes, it's pretty much time with
that. But what did you dothis weekend? So I obviously guess what.
(20:11):
I did nothing but my family,my aunt and my cousin. They
went to Seattle, which was reallycool, and I like, I had
fomo because I was just like, send me pictures because I used to live
in Seattle, and I was like, I really wanted to go back there.
But I didn't take Saturday off,so I stayed home, which is
not bad because I ended up gettinga lot more rest than I normally do
on the weekends. So instead ofthree hour naps is six hours. Oh
(20:34):
my gosh, yes, Like onSaturday, I think I took three naps
during the day before I had awork like, I kid you not,
I was it was, how areyou gonna do a hot girl summer with
that many naps? Okay, wellthat's a that's a great question, but
this is my logic. I reallyever get to have that happen, So
I'd rather get my rest while they'reaway, because yeah, I don't think
(20:57):
I was ever going to get thatback. Oh yeah, I yeah,
I went to sleep for a longtime for a long time. Did you
watch any new shows? That's agreat question. I did not. I
don't watch anything actually which is whichis weird? Yeah, I haven't.
I need. I need a newshow to watch. I tried watching a
couple of but I just didn't stickwith it. Oh my gosh, I
(21:18):
know a show that you can watch. And I think i'll talk about the
show more on Thursday because I stillneed to finish it. But it's called
Baby Reindeer. It's on Netflix.I feel like I saw that or I
saw you saw like the little thelittle screen, or somebody was talking about
baby was it on Twitter? Thatmight have been me, because I think
I was asking Selena if she hadseen it. But you have you have
(21:41):
to check it out. It's sofar, it's so interesting. I haven't
finished it yet, so it's likea it's a little series, so it
is acted. But what I didn'tknow was that it's based on a true
story and so it's about a stalker. So you have to check it out.
Okay, Baby Reindeer. And thenI think I saw like somebody post
(22:02):
something about it on Twitter. Okay, it kind of came with that storyline.
So watch it and then we cantalk about it on Thursday. Oh,
I can't promise you this week. This Thursday. Well, I'll talk
about it on Thursday, Okay,Okay, I want to try to watch
it off before Thursday. Then Ihave nothing but time, I guess.
But at least you're not the typeof person that doesn't mind that minds if
(22:22):
shows get spoiled. Oh no,I feel like that's so weird. I
don't mind spoilers. I actually lovespoilers. So spoil it up for me.
Okay, perfect, I'll do thaton Thursday. Yeah cool. Yeah.
So other than that, yeah,I literally did nothing. Yeah,
I just that's it. I wentto work in just slept all day.
(22:44):
So yeah, what did you do? What did you do? Jess?
My gosh, I'm so sorry mytalking today. It's just been not on
point, even this morning. It'sjust not it. Okay, Jess,
you had a very eventful weekend. You left early on Friday, not early,
but on time, like yeah, because usually we stay here for very
long time. But yeah, soI went to San Diego this weekend and
(23:07):
with one of my besties. Sowe left. Oh my gosh. It
was such a struggle on Friday nightthough, because that's when we were supposed
to leave, right, Yeah,So wait, what time did you leave?
Because I thought you were leaving likelike towards like the evening, like
five or like early in the evening. Yeah, so listen, So we
(23:32):
get we had gotten a text messageat around one thirty PM saying your flight
got delayed. That's never a goodsign, never good sign. But it
was only delayed by thirty minutes,so I was like, and between one
thirty and the time that we gotto the airport, which was around five
I think five five thirty, everythingnothing had changed after that, and so
(23:52):
we were like, you know what, delayed by thirty minutes, that's not
that bad, Like I've dealt withworse. So we get to the airport
and then we actually have like sorry, I hit the mic. We had
a little drink getting our weekend started. We're so excited we bored the plane.
(24:15):
So our plane was initially gonna leaveI think by seven, and then
it got pushed to seven thirty.Okay, So then we already board the
plane, everybody's almost on there, and the pilot goes on to say,
Okay, we're just gonna wait alittle bit longer while everybody you know,
yeah gets here, because since theflight got delayed, we're giving people a
(24:36):
little bit more time. So wewere like, okay, cool. Then
he goes on again and on theloudspeaker and he's like, you know,
the person that was adding fuel tothe plane ended up driving off with the
host still attached to the plane anddamaged the gas part of vase. And
(24:59):
as soon as he's has that, everybody starts looking around and we're all like,
okay, so what's gonna happen now, Like we're already, we're already
inside the plane, everybody's got theirseatbelts on. And then and so he
the pilot mentioned, you know,we are waiting to see what the next
move is and what we are goingto like do about this, and it's
gonna be safe for us to takeoff. Then minutes go by. I'm
(25:23):
pretty sure because I think, well, let me state that it was Frontier
and this is just my experience,so don't come for me frontier. But
it was Frontier first of all,and I'm pretty sure they use boeings.
So there you go. There, there you have it. But a couple
of minutes go by and I geta text that says your flight from San
Francisco to San Diego has been canceled. That's the best text ever. This
(25:47):
is before it's even announced to us. Oh yeah, that's crazy. So
they already talked about it there,y'all know about it. So I literally
out, not that loud, butto my friend, I'm like, oh
my god, it just got canceled. And people around us obviously here,
so they start kind of like,oh, like freaking out and they're like
somebody's getting fired and blah blah blah. And then of course, in a
(26:12):
few minutes after like a few minutesafter that, the damage that cost right
there, right, So the pilotgoes on and ends up saying, you
know, flight's gonna get canceled. You guys can get a one hundred dollars
voucher. Did they give it toyou? So so I'll get to that
right now. So you guys canget a one hundred dollars voucher, and
(26:33):
you know, we'll have some staffoutside, you know, to help you
hopefully find you know, some luggageand everything. So this is where I
was like, thank God that wepacked everything, challenged ourselves to just put
everything in a bag because we hadall of our stuff with us. We
didn't have to go back and getour luggage from you know, bag from
(26:57):
the bag check in or whatever. So we get out and we make line
right away to see if a frontieremployee is gonna come out and help people.
Mind you, Like, time ispassing by, and at this point
we're freaking out because we're like,it's already at that point, I was
already probably past eight. Can Ijust stuffy? This is just reminding me
(27:18):
that we have a JB Show cursewith here, because there's no way this
had never happened to me before likethis. So we were waiting in line,
and while we're waiting in line,we're like, what is the next
step? What are we gonna do? Are we gonna drive? Is that
an option? How long would ittake us? Can we just completely switch
(27:40):
out our trip and go to Vegasinstead? Like? What are the flights
for Vegas? Like? How muchare they? Yeah? And then the
third option, which is the onethat we were gonna go with, was
to just stay in San Francisco goout for the night. Well, actually
we were gonna have to go backto my place, so that we dropped
our stuff off, ye changed clothesbecause we had already done our makeup at
the airport. We were ready togo. So we we were like you
(28:07):
know what, We're just gonna goout in San Francisco. We're gonna pull
it on Nier and let's book aflight for six am in San Jose because
that's what was cheaper. And I'msorry, and the earliest thing. Yeah
why because if we fell asleep, that was it. We were there's no
way I'm waking up. If ifafter drinking and dancing, I'm falling asleep,
(28:29):
no, I don't think I wouldhave woken up. So we were
like, we are going to pullin on on Eider. We booked the
flights for San Jose. Mind you, at this point, nobody is out
to help us yet from Frontier. The staff that was in the plane already
walked by us and left. Idon't know who they were supposed to send
to help us, so we didn't. But I just said, y'all be
(28:52):
easy. We out literally, sowe're just kind of like, Okay,
what are we gonna do right now? I'm like frantically texting. We're been
like you're not gonna believe what justhappened, blah blah blah. Then we
sit down and we're still trying tofigure out like what we're gonna do.
And then a lady comes up tous and she's like, were you guys
just on the plane that got canceledfor Frontier And we were like yes,
(29:14):
And then she's like, I justgot a plane from Southwest and it's leaving
at eight forty five right now.But don't go to the front desk.
Don't go to the desk. Justcall them and tell them what happened,
and they're gonna be able to helpyou out because they still have seats.
So now at this point, we'refreaking out because we're like, we already
got the tickets, we already paidextra to get the tickets for San Jose
(29:36):
for tomorrow morning. Now we haveto call and cancel those if we want
to get these, if that's evenan option. Yeah. So then I'm
on the phone on one end callingSouthwest to see if they can get us
on this new flight. My friend'son the phone with Alaska. I think,
oh my gosh, Reunited Airlines orsomething, and she's like telling them
like, Hey, I just bookedyou know, flights, blah blah,
(29:59):
here's the situation. But can Icancel them and get a refund? So
we're both doing that at the sametime, and I feel like time is
taking because it's almost gonna be thetime for the other plane to board.
We see that that plane is boardingright across. They're already starting to board
and they're right across from us.So we run there. We get in
line at the desk, and onceit's our turn, we're like, hey,
(30:22):
you know, we had somebody. We were talking to somebody on the
phone right now. They said tojust come to the desk and that there
were still seats left for this planeand you'd be able to get us on.
And they're like, well, actuallywe can, but you first have
to book a flight for tomorrow andthen that's how we transfer it for today.
So then there we are off tothe side because they did let my
(30:45):
friend cancel and get a full refundfor the six am San Jose flight.
Nice. Nice, then okay, but we're still not like in the clear.
We hear the lady that's at thegate say six minutes. So in
six minutes they were gonna close thegate. We're still in line trying to
get these like boarding passes to getinside because we still don't really have You
(31:08):
can do a sort pass on yourphone. No, they know because the
person at the front desk has toswitch the flight for you. Oh,
so they have to add you tothe standby thing and then add you into
the plane. She whatever. Sothen there's like a person in front of
us, and the lady just saidsix minutes. And I'm like freaking out
inside, like there's no way we'regonna make it. Oh my gosh,
(31:30):
Like what are we gonna do now? Because now, mind you, we
at this point have no flights, have no flights. We already canceled one,
the one that was gonna be ourbackup, and we already paid for
a new Southwest flight, thinking thatmaybe this is gonna work. And we
get up to the front and likethe lady is stressing at the front because
she's obviously trying to help us out, and there's no time left, and
(31:55):
so she's like, okay, welllet me check how many seats there are,
and she says, okay, youguys are getting the last two seats,
and I was like, the lasttwo is crazy? My beguess how
come you guys hit a book withSouthwest in the beginning because you get two
free check on checking bags checking bags. Because this is where we went wrong.
(32:16):
We wanted to save money, andwe had used Frontier before, yeah,
and everything was fine with it,and it was way cheaper, and
so we were like, if we'renot even in a difference. Uh.
For our Frontier flight it was likea hundred. It wasn't the hundreds.
For if we go to San Diego, Yeah, what's art pricey? If
(32:37):
we would have booked with Southwest tobegin with, it would have been probably
like in the three hundreds because wehad checked before we when we were booking,
we checked all of the airlines andSouthwest was up there. Yeah.
That's crazy because because they kept Ikeep seeing them on my Instagram with like
a deal or something like forty ninedollars whatever. But I'm like, is
it really It's always like starting atforty nine dollars Yeah, but they don't
(32:59):
check, and then I had twohundred dollars. I'm like what the hell?
Yeah, So it was gonna bepretty pricey in the beginning. I
mean, now would I book withfriends hearing? I don't know. I'm
not gonna say never. Yeah. But so we end up she gives us
our boarding passes and she's like go. So then I start like running towards
(33:22):
the gate, right because I'm I'mlike she said go, and I'm going.
So then I started running and they'relike wait wait wait, like like
yeah, they're so funny. It'slike a movie right there. Can the
thing first because I was already justlike just I'm just going off the plans
like oh. So then I liketurned back around and we get those things
(33:45):
canned. We go in and theyliterally just like close the door behind us
because we were the last ones.Wow. Oh wow, wow, wowow.
It was great. I would cry. I'm not gonna lie when I
remember in those situations, I wouldliterally just start crying like like that's when
my tears started working. Well, there was no time to waste on crying.
I would know it. Listen, there would be I would find a
(34:07):
time she's looking to see it.There seats you would have saw tears going
down my eyes like this are wegonna make it? Yeah? Wow,
that's crazy. So we were likehow did we manage to pull this off?
Because I wish I could see likerecording of how stressed out we were
because we were just like that isso making calls, you know, running
(34:29):
around like doing the most pretty much. But we made it, which was
the best feeling ever, we youknow, got to our hotel. We
went out that night. It waslike so much fun. So I'm glad
that we made it because honestly, and my friend and I were even talking
about this once we got there. We were both like we would have been
(34:51):
like it would have been game overfor us on Saturday if we had done
the all nighter, yeah, becausewe would have made it to brunch,
you know. Yeah, we wouldhave into the hotel I like eight thirty
in the morning after not sleeping. They already paid for that night. Yeah.
And then keep in mind, onFridays, I woke up at four
in the morning, so so Iwouldn't have slept for over twenty four hours,
which I still didn't sleep for overtwenty four hours. I think.
(35:14):
I mean, I probably got home, we probably got back to the hotel
till like three something. Oh wow, But at least we were already in
Sandy. Yeah, and we werealready you know, having fun. But
it was it was intense. SoI'm gonna be more careful about who I
book with the next time. Ijust where we got the JV show curse.
(35:36):
For some reason, they asked anairports. I don't claim this curse.
It's talk to the the air god. Yeah, like I need to
do some sort of you know, put on some incense and just light those
up. But other than that, you know, everything was great. We
(36:00):
went to a couple of brunches,We went out, I had some drinks,
went to an escape room. Itwas fun. We didn't escape,
but it was still fun. Butyeah, did you get your one hundred
dollars voucher? Oh? Going backto that, I think I'm just gonna
get my refund. Okay, Soit's either or yeah, but the refund
is way less. I think therefund is only like fifty dollars because our
(36:22):
flight to get back home was morewhat about more expensive? Okay? I
would say it was the vouchers oflike food because I love their food vouchures
because airport food is expensive. Sowhenever, like and it's just wait.
So if the airline gives you avoucher, you can use it on.
Do you do a meal vulture?Well? I don't know if it depends.
I don't know what vulture they're gonnagive you. I they're gonna give
a fight one or an error.Yeah, I have to look into that
(36:45):
a little bit more. I didn'ttake the fight Vulture. Oh, I'm
not taking that at all. AndI didn't want to do that. I
didn't want to submit for a refundor do anything with it before coming back
because I was like, something's gonnago wrong. I'm gonna accidentally, like
like they're gonna they're gonna cancel myflight to get back home, or they're
gonna do something. And I'm nottrying to take those chances. So I
(37:07):
have to look into that still. But I'm glad you had fun. Though.
Other than that, it's all stressfulas a stressful way to start a
trip. Seriously, I was like, is this not but it happened.
It's better that it happens going therethan coming back. That's true, because
yeah, yeah, because like imagineif you couldn't get a fight till the
next day, that would have sucked. Yeah, I probably we probably would
(37:29):
have had to coming back, rent, But but see it's easy when it's
like we're still in California. Butimagine you fly out, yeah, a
different stay or across the country orsomething. To me, they weren't trying
to get me out a flight fortwo or three days after I said,
what do you mean that that wasa stressful stay ever. But I feel
(37:52):
like now that now that this happened, I'm like any other time that I
fly, I know to like ifI want to take an earlier or a
later flight, I know that theycan put me on like the stand by
thing, as long as you alreadyhave a flight with that airline. Yeah,
which I was always scared about tryingor even asking about before. But
(38:14):
I feel like it is a lotmore simple than we make it sometimes when
it comes to like getting added toa stand by list. Yeah I didn't.
I never understood it before you youtalked about it. I don't know
what a stand by list was.Yeah. So it's kind of cool because
it's like if the plane isn't fulland you have a later flight, you
want to just switch it, likeyou know. But all the flights that
(38:35):
I get on it always full, like so full. Like I'm like,
I'm hoping somebody doesn't sit next tome. Nope, the whole the whole
play. Oh we have a fullflight today, I'm like, dang it,
Oh my gosh. Yeah. Forour flight coming back to San Francisco,
I think there were there were someempty seats, but we got the
seats. I don't remember us bookingthe seats that were by the door frontier
still feat. Okay, so Idon't remember how to see exit. Yeah,
(39:00):
that's too much responsibility. If theydo ask you, like I'm gonna
ask you, I'm gonna need averbal y. Yes, I don't want
to. Is there any other seats? I don't want the responsibility at the
point, I don't think I couldeven evacuate myself, even open the door
exactly, I would. She strugglesover here to open the door every day.
(39:25):
Our clear doors here at the station, they get stuck. So sometimes
I'll try to like push, andthen I'm like, okay, maybe it's
not push, maybe it's coool.I can try to catch it on video
for the longest, but I neveras soon as I noticed you. Yeah,
but there are clear doors that lookexactly the same from both sides,
(39:45):
So how am I supposed to figureout whether because it's the same way every
day, but sometimes we go inthrough one side and sometimes we go in
through the other side. So I'mlike, you know, it happens,
it's too early in the morning whenI try to open the door. But
(40:06):
anyways, Oh, thanks for sharingyour horrifying story. Hopefully it know what
happens again? Hopefully. Oh yeah, so, I guess we shall see
everybody on Thursday. Wrap it up. Oh, thank you so much for
hanging out with us. We appreciateit. Anything else, No, I
think that's it. Okay, baby,
