(00:00):
Welcome back to the Young and Unscriptedpodcast Happy Tuesday. I'm Jess and I'm
Cheaty. Okay, we have quitea bit of things to talk about today.
We'll try to give it short.Yeah, we've been watching a new
show called Quiet on Set. We'lltalk more about that. We have a
few more details about Kate Middleton.Target checkouts are getting a couple changes.

(00:26):
I do have to vent a littlebit about Rolling Loud, and then you
have some good news to share.Yes, so let's start with Quiet on
Set. Okay, just tell usso, okay. Quiet on Set is
a four part docu series that ifyou don't remember, Cheaty had mentioned this
like maybe a couple podcasts I don'tremember, but this, Yeah, because

(00:50):
they announced that this documentary was gonnacome out like months before it actually did.
So it finally dropped on Saint Patrick'sDay and it basically just shines light
on all of the abuse and justthe dark side of kids TV, but
specifically Nickelodeon, Yeah and those shows. But also one of the main producers

(01:12):
for those shows that we all kindof grew up watching, Dan Schneider.
Yeah, so, what how manyepisodes have you seen yet? Well?
I just watched the first episode, but only like thirty minutes. I saw
it on Twitter, so I've beenwatching it on Twitter. Yeah. GDI
was like, am I gonna haveto get a new Max subscription? I
did not want to pay. Iwas really contemplating. I was like,

(01:33):
you know what, maybe I'll justwatch it some other time, but then
that's not on Twitter. I waslike, okay, perfect, So for
ree yes, shout out to theshout out to the Twitter, but so
ill. We watched thirty minutes ofit and just from first of all,
like is a trigger warning, Soif you want to watch it, just
be aware that there's a lot ofit's very sad and heartbreaking to hear these

(01:53):
stories about what these child actors andparents and family members had to go through
just by being associated with Nicolohdian. But like my thought process is watching it,
it's just like holy crap. Likeas kids, we were watching these
things and it totally like flew pastus. Like just the stuff that they
were able to show on TV itwas insane, Like they showed a lot

(02:15):
of clips that was going around andyou definitely need to watch it to understand
like what we're saying. But Iactually like, really give these people props,
these child actors for coming up andsaying what they went through, because
I don't know, Hollywood is justso dark and a lot of these things
happen and I can only imagine, like this is focusing on a Nickelodeon,

(02:38):
but just imagine the stuff that happenedto Disney Channel too, because I even
heard that one of the people whowere working for Nickelodeon ended up getting arrested
for abuse of like child or notchild abuse, sexual abuse for a child,
and then they ended up working onSweet Life and Sack and Cody.

(03:00):
So it's just like, you know, this whole industry is just freaking crazy.
I definitely like recommend watching it becauseit's it shares a lot of details,
but honestly, it was just sosad, especially seeing a lot of
the child actress that we grew upwatching, like Amanda by Yes, where
she's at now is so sad?Are Jamilyn Spears? I know we're not
a fan of her right now becauseof Britney Spears, but like what and

(03:23):
are on a grande? Like justa lot of stuff that they put them
through. It's just so sad,and I like where their parents at Like,
I know some of them are there, but I'm not gonna blame their
parents. Yeah, it's a toughsituation, but a lot of the parents
were there and they just didn't seeit. They like they they just turned
a blind eye. And there's alot of people that worked there that were

(03:47):
like, yeah, these kids wereleft with you know, adults, Dan
Schneider being one of them, alonein you know, in rooms, you
know, or when the night Yeah, when Amanda By started her show,
everybody, all the other kids wouldbe doing school on set, right,
Yeah, and she'd be with danceDan Schneider because they're working on practice SIPs,

(04:10):
Yeah, practicing their scripts or doingwhatever. Oh being Yeah, like
what was he doing to her duringthat time? You know, like mean
creepy? Oh my gosh, Butyou've watched the first one had to do.
What was your thoughts on it?I mean my thoughts. I have
so many different thoughts about so manydifferent things that they mentioned on there.

(04:32):
I did just to quickly recap becausewe don't want to give too much away
either. But there was one momthat mentioned how when she was little,
she her parents didn't allow her tobe in any of these shows. Are
pursue acting. So when she hadkids, she was like, well,
I'm gonna I'm gonna let her pursuewhatever she wants her daughter, right,

(04:56):
Yeah, so she let her,you know, join one of these shows.
And then there was somebody working thereat Nickelodeon that at first everything started
off friendly. It was an oldermale and they they started emailing the daughter.
You know, everything was friendly atfirst, and then started sending pictures
of them touching themselves what and sothe mom was like the mom was saying

(05:21):
that she didn't know whether or notto call the police, but it's like
you called what to do when itinvolved your child. Wow, that's what
these parents that just reminds me ofLike Drake Bell's mom she this is I
didn't finish watching it, but thisis on Twitter. And they said that

(05:42):
she did not want to drive himto set sometimes or just was too lazy
to get up and do stuff forhim. That he she actually had him
spend a night at like one ofthe house and that's when he was like
getting abused, and I'm just likewhat the hell, Like, see,
you're you're allowing your bringing your childto to stay over then, like we
don't even know these people for real, Like are you serious? I don't

(06:05):
care, and not even that that'syour child's employer. Yeah, like what
sorry? I was that? Thatone actually just takes me off because what
do you what are you talking about? Yeah, So I'm interested to see
what they show in the next likethree other episodes. I think I've only
seen about an episode and a half. Okay, So but it's it's crazy

(06:28):
to watch, especially for anybody outthere that has seen all of these shows,
like you know, I Carly Drakeand Josh, the Amanda Show,
like all of these shows growing upand stuff. So that's something to add
to your watch list. So it'squite on set, and it's on Max.
Yes, but if you like, watch it with discretion, I guess,
because it's very it's just very disturbing. Yeah, don't watch it with

(06:48):
your kids. No, yeah, don't watch it with your kids. Yeah.
Just and just it's a trigger warning. So it does talk a lot
about like sexual abuse and stuff,so it's far warning. Kate Middle,
Oh my gosh, what is happeningwith Kate? So you know, I'm
obsessed with, Yes, this wholething. I don't know why, but
it's just so intriguing to me.But so TMZ posted a video yesterday,

(07:14):
yes, and I when I sawit, I was like, what the
hell's going on? So they posteda video of Prince Williams and I guess,
Princess Kate. That's her name,Princess Kate. They're walking out of
a farmer's market. She's holding thebag, he's holding the back. He
has a hat on, and she'slike smiling and walking fast right, And
first of all, can I sayit does not look like Kate. All

(07:36):
there might be like a soul light, but my thing is like some slight
similarities in the face, but it'snot Kate. And let's let's be real,
like we it's twenty twenty four. You're telling me that there's no camera
qualities. TMZ doesn't have the cameraquality to capture like an actual like still,

(07:58):
like a close up, close upor good camera Like I go to
concerts with this phone, this iPhoneat thirteen and I'm able to zoom in
a lot from the nosebleeds exactly andhave a clear view of looking like I'm
right in the front center. Soyou're telling me that these people cannot get
like a clear image of Kate Middletonor whatever. So not just that,
but how was TMZ Does TMC havepeople in the UK that are just That's

(08:22):
what I'm saying, You're going aroundlooking for Kate. This is what I
think is how did nobody know newsoutlets or whatever in the UK get it
for outlas? What about the peoplearound that, Like if I ever saw
Kate Milton at Principal EM's ever walkingaround? Oh of course I'm recording that.
I'm posting it to Twitter like orselling it to a blog or something
like that. Oh that would makeyou so many exactly, But only TMC

(08:45):
has a video. But also, and I mentioned this in the show this
morning, so if you listened, you already heard me say this, but
the Royals don't just walk out lookingbummy. Your rides are always dressed up.
They they have to, they havedress codes, they have to be
dressed up. She was wearing ahoodie and socks over leggings. Damn No,

(09:09):
if Kate Middleton can do it,I'm gonna just kid it right No.
But honestly, like people are focusedon Kate. But I'm telling you
right now, that did not looklike Prince Williams. So I'm just like
where are they at, like, and apparently they're gonna come out next month.
Okay, also, sorry, letme finish that sentence. Apparently gonna
come out next month, and Kate'sgonna talk about like what's what's been going

(09:31):
on or whatever? Okay, cool, Now forgot what I was gonna say
before that you were, and thatthat is why Cheety will not finish her
sentences because then we forget. Yeah, sorry, guys, we forget what
was gonna come out. Yeah, but anyways, it's just crazy. I
don't believe that it's her. Theyjust need to hurry up and come say
what's going on. I know theysaid that she had like surgery on her

(09:54):
in her stomach or something. Butsee, I've been hearing so many different
theories, which is it does notthat makes sense that she would be out
knowing that everybody's talking about her,and if she's perfectly fine walking sorry walking
in the market or whatever, likethe who does that? Like, I'm
just you're you have the whole worldlooking for you, and then you're just

(10:15):
gonna kind of side no, thewhole world. She has a whole song
about Milton, so like, yeah, the whole world is looking for Ustas
and where you at walking at afarmer's market over her liggings, where the
kids at we saw see the kids. She would have at least been wearing

(10:35):
like kitten heels something. Come on, it's kmen, Milton and I don't
you know what? Then we stopwith this wirl mess because they get me
hot over here, like it justirritates me, Like why can't they just
have a press tour or not apress Why can't they just like, all
right, you guys, you knowa lot of people in the world.
They're looking for Kate. Maybe weshould just upload a video of her,

(10:56):
like, hey, it's leaving,Kate, what are you doing? Just
fine, I'm just recovering. Wewould like our privacy at the time,
maybe because everything they're putting out nobody'sbelieving, like y'all, I'm sorry,
and then it's all fake. Yeah, And oh I think I remember I
was talking about they canceled their They'resupposed to have a royal royal announcement like

(11:18):
yesterday and then they canceled it.What do you think that was going to
be your I don't know. Butthen somebody said they would like at the
palace that the flag was half halfwaydown, So something's going on. I
don't know what it is. Maybemaybe the king died, Okay, I
kind of believe that people are likeyou believe that. Oh, I don't

(11:39):
know. I don't know who saidthat. Maybe was you just I don't
remember. It probably was me,probably, but I think that they're like,
Okay, So the theory was thathe cheated on her blah blah blah
blah, and then I think thathe wants to divorce with her, but
he isn't. She doesn't want toget a divorce with him because apparently he
had another child, but she,the person that he quote unquote had another

(12:03):
child with, is like, thoserumors are false. Okay. It was
definitely me that said yeah, solike because that child, because it makes
sense. So he had a child, this is this is all. It's
just not real. I don't knowif it's wrong or not. But he
had a child with what Bury somethingwhen Rose Rose something, and the child

(12:26):
was older than Kate Middleton's kids.So that way, if he divorced Kate
Middleton, that would be that wouldbe the next in line, not king
because he Williams will be king, but he'll be like the next here,
like after Williams dies, it's himthe other kid isn't crazy how it all
works that is freaking crazy. Sothat's why Kate Middleton's like, I'm not

(12:46):
going to divorce with you. Really, I don't know why. I'm like
really, like if you're telling me, But the theory that I've believe,
I don't believe that. So yeah, So I think that he's like stressed
because he looks he's been looking stressedout lately, but I think he's always

(13:07):
looked well except for when he wasyoung young. Yeah, what happened to
him being problematic? I don't knowif he's problematic, but being problematic,
we'll do it to you. Well, I guess we'll see what develops from.
Yeah, but anyways, let usknow your favorite conspiracy theory. That
was my top one. My toptwo is definitely the BBL. The BBL

(13:28):
was hoping for the BBL one reallyfunny, you know, it's so crazy.
I thought after like by now,I thought there would actually legit like
have an house. Yeah, likehave answers or bring her out or something
like bring her out everybody welcome Kingon Oprah or something. They tell her

(13:50):
it's part of the story issue MegaMarco didn't Why can't she do it?
True? And that's yeah. Maybeshe's writing a book. You know,
books take time in the dark.Yeah, he's gonna come out like three
weeks later. I'm writing a book. Oh anyways, Target, let's talk
about Target. I love Target. That's amazing. I go there. I
spend so much money retail. That'swhy I feel like that's why I try

(14:13):
to stay away from Target. Thatis true. Oh when I came back
from Nigeria, I didn't go toTarget for like three months. I was
very proud of me. I saveda lot of money. Then I really
did. I really did. Becauseevery time I go to Target, guess
where I go? The dollar sectionor they like it's not like dollar section,
but it's like dollar three dollars, five dollars right in the front door.

(14:33):
So I love it because they alwayshave cute stuff that I don't need.
I try to ignore it. Ido ignore it, actually, and
I go straight to the journal section. Oh I think you said this last
podcast. Well, now apparently theyare limiting their self checkout to only ten
items. So first of all,I don't like that because when I go

(14:54):
to Target, there's always like onlytwo lines open, and I'm just like,
and there's times there's a lot ofpeople and I don't want to wait
that long. I want to like, you know, let me just go
to self checkout and scam my items. But if I can only do ten
items, but I got like fifteen, yeah, ten is too little,
I guess, so little. Like, first of all, who goes to
Target, Like it's ten items?I mean, I know it's expensive.

(15:15):
Ten items is like one hundred dollars. Yeah, no, ten items.
If you're at Target, you're payinglike one hundred and seventy times, so
there's already a lot of money. But still, like, I just like,
if you're gonna do that, thenopen up more, get more workers,
open up the lines. Just likeWalmart, Like their lines are just
huge, long as hell. That'swhy I don't go to Target, I
mean, because it's just so long. And then you know another line that's

(15:39):
so long. Well, all ofthe lines for like home Goods, Marshals
like Ross Ross. When I wasthere for like an hour, I'm coming,
I swear. Oh but yeah see, I mean, I guess I
don't mind if they end up limitingit. It's just ten items like that,
number is too low. Maybe twentyand under would be good. I

(16:02):
felt like twenty and under was orfIF Now really yeah, it's like good
they're twenty or fifteen. I don'tknow that I think, but I mean,
also it is a little ridiculous ifyou are doing self checkout and you
have a full cart for yeah, don't do that. I don't do that.
Definitely, don't do that. Likethat's I wasn't mad at twenty items
or fifteen items, that's fine, but ten, but ten or more than

(16:22):
twenty, don't do it. Butthen also like open up more aisles.
And then oh, I want totalk about Walmart real quick, because I
don't know if this is true ornot, but I heard about this.
It's like a rumor that they're goingto be starting to do memberships in order
to do self checkout, so youwould have to pay a fee like forty
nine dollars or like something forty ninelike a month or something just to use

(16:45):
their self checkout lanes. So thisisn't confirmed confirmed, it's not confirmed at
all, but it's just like arumor. She's making up rumors. No,
I saw it on Twitter, youknow, the very the very reliable
source of Twitter. Okay, butno, like, if this is true,
I'm gonna be very upset. Well, I don't even go to Walmart,
but if I did, I wouldbe upset because, like I said,

(17:06):
just like Target, Walmart always hasall the lines. It's always so
crazy to I. Honestly, sometimesI just want to drop my stuff off
and just leave, like I don'thave the time for this. So,
I mean, I don't know ifthey're trying to crack down on theft.
But oh wait a second, talkingabout that real quick? Can I talk
about the safe ways that I've beento out in There's one conquered hairfield.

(17:26):
Yeah, wait before you say that, can we talk about what and that
safe way? When we went toget hers next and we were paying,
oh yeah, yes. I don'tknow why these things happened to me sometimes,
but we were paying, and Iwas trying to like race cheaty mind
you. She didn't know that therethat it was a race. I was
like, what is she doing? She was on the self CHECKOD thing next

(17:48):
to me, and I was like, well, I'm gonna beat her,
and then I'm beating you. Iwas like, ooh, I'm eating you.
And then I pulled my receipt sothat I could win, because you
know, there was a competition inher head that we were both in.
She was in and and so Ipulled a receipt and the whole machine opened
embarrassing and the role of like receiptpaper just fell just fell out, and

(18:12):
she had to ravel. It waslike, oh my god, do I
know this? And the worker there'stwo workers that are talking to you.
They were standing here just looking atit. And then the worker had to
come and fix it. And Ifelt bad. How embarrassing is that?
Like? And I apologize, Butthat was kind of funny. That happened
like so quick. I was like, what was going on? I was

(18:33):
so had no idea. I justgrabbed my race, so, you know,
just just pulled a receipt and thewhole thing starts flying out. I
was like, what the hell?Anyways, continue, oh hello, Yeah,
so I was. When I wentto the one and conquered, it
was like, so when you entered, there's like this gate and it's only

(18:53):
one way. First ir I realizethat it was only one way, and
so the gate open and then youcannot get out without like scanning your receipt
or having a worker open up thegate to let you out. So if
you don't find what you're looking forand you want to leave without any items,
yeah, you have to like goto a worker and out from like

(19:15):
the stuff check outside, Like Ikid you not. I was like,
how the hell do I Cause that'swhat happened to me. I went there,
I was looking for something that Icould not find it. I was,
okay, well, let me justgo out, and I literally was
walking from one endstis store to theother end of the story. You can
knock get out unless you get likeyour receipt scanned or a worker lets you
out. Even like the lanes thataren't being used have a blockage in it,

(19:36):
like you know, like the Bartstuff, like the Bart gates.
Yes, yeah, it's just likethat. And yeah, and they didn't
have these before. They never hadthat, they never had that before.
And then I went to one inFairfield. There's two in Fairfield. I
went to this one like not closeby my house, it is like far
away from my hume. And Iwent in there and had the same thing.
And then I actually did sit offthe alarm because I was trying because

(20:00):
you were stealing Noah a little bit, make go see pleasure. No,
but I was trying to get abasket and my aunt was trying to get
these protein shakes. But the proteinshakes were on the other side of the
gate, like when you walk in, if you go, you make a
lot and it's right there, right, but the the basket was on the
other side. So I tried tograb the basket and just hold the thing

(20:21):
a little bit open, and thenalarm went off and the work you're looked
at me. I was like,well, I don't know why y'all have
this here anyways, Like how areyou gonna have stuff on this side for
people to like groceries on this side, but you can nobody can get to
it. Yeah, like until waitingbefore they walk in. Crazy, I
had never heard of. Yeah,it's so store like doing that. Really,
Safeway do better, because that wasthat's just stupid. It's so inconvenient,

(20:44):
Like I just store store is soinconvenient nowadays. Scared that they're gonna
start doing that at every location.I feel like, I really feel like
they will, Like I think they'retesting it out and seeing it for a
worse but because you know, peoplebe you know, stealing from the Safeway.
Their sandwiches and stuff, which Iget, but I feel like they
gotta be a better way. Therehas to be like at least paid for,
like a security or police officer tostand right there, like, but

(21:04):
don't do they already have something? No, oh it's not where I live.
Aren't conquered. But yeah, itwas just it was just frustrating,
and I was just like, thisis so annoying, Like I have to
ask a worker to get out ofyour store. Yeah, I don't like
that. Like what if it's emergency, what if there's a fire, Well,
you gotta ask an employee or buysomething real quick. Can you imagine?

(21:27):
Okay, that was my event, sash, Oh my, it's terrible.
Okay, I have a little ventingto do too. So I went
to Rolling Loud over the weekend. It was super fun. But the one
thing that I kept complaining about, what, yeah, my favorite hurting but
that I guess this is tied tothat. But so I had only been

(21:49):
to Rolling Loud in the Bay Areawhen they, I mean, they don't
do it anymore. I don't knowwhy they don't do it here. I
wish they did. Sorry Bay Areas, but here he needs to do a
little work on their crime. Okay. Well, anyways, they don't do
it here anymore, which is whichit sucks because I liked going to it.
So this is this is my firsttime ever going to the LA Rolling

(22:11):
Loud. But they're set up.I hate they're setup. Oh my gosh,
I kid you not. It wasa fifteen minute walk from the regular
from the like regular stage to themain stage, like fifteen minutes, and
so anytime you wanted to see oneof the big artists but you were watching

(22:32):
somebody else, you had to likeprepare yourself because you were about to walk
through like mountains and rivers and valleysand were rolling located. I know it's
LA and LA, but was itlike near it's by Sofi Stadium? Okay,
so I want to say it's it'sHollywood Park or something like that.
So it's an anglewood. Okay.It was a lot of fun regardless.

(22:55):
But yeah, so when we justgot there on Friday, we were trying
to hurry up so that we couldsee as many artists as we could because
were already getting there like a littlelater. So we get to wear the
main stages and we're looking at themap and we're like Okay, it should
be somewhere around here, but wedon't see it. Like that's how far
it is where you couldn't even seeit. There was other buildings blocking it

(23:17):
and you had to walk like probablylike fifteen minutes. And so that's what
how I got so many steps inover the weekend. And my leg's still
hurt from that. All right,So be honest. Okay, Diddy smoked
some loud. I didn't. Oh, I didn't see. I'm not I'm
not a smoker. Okay, didyou eat? I'm not an eater.

(23:41):
I didn't. Wow, But wehad some drinks. Yeah, I'm a
drink but it's loud for a reason. I know. I was kidding,
but that's fun. You have alot of fun though. Yes, it
was your favorite artist that you saw, Okay, honestly, I really really

(24:03):
liked Flow Milly. I love FloMillie. Yeah, I had. I
love her. I had never seenher live, and if I'm being completely
honest, I didn't even see whereher name was on the lineup. Oh
so I hadn't seen her. Butwe were gonna go to that stage because
we were going to see Summer Walker, and she went out before Summer Walker
and I was like, wait,oh my god, I know, like
so many of these songs. Yeah, and yeah, like her energy,

(24:27):
she's really good. Her body isso by like body goals. Yeah,
I would like girl. I know. I saw a clip of her on
Twitter. I think it's strumbrolling loud, and everybody's like, who talk about
bots? Yeah? Oh my gosh, Oh now that you say that,
can we talk about Nicki Minaja's bbOh yeah you saw it in person?

(24:48):
Huh yeah, okay, how wasit? Sorry? I'm sorry, Barbes,
I am sorry. I tally talkabout her performance because I know a
lot of people on Twitter right now. Oh, there's a lot of criticism
going on with her. The mainI think the main reason why people are
like criticizing her performance is because shedoes take so long to change outfits.
So, first of all, Ithink she was pretty late to start in

(25:11):
the in the first place, whichI mean, if it's the stage setup,
sure, I get it. Ittakes a while, right, But
then she starts and she does acouple songs, and then she's gone for
like another couple like five ten minutes, and then she comes back and then
I don't remember, but she comesback and then does like more songs and
then goes back and like changes. So I feel like with Rolling Loud,

(25:34):
you don't need to be changed.Yes, So I'm a sum because you
know how she's on tour right now, she like it's probably just doing her
exact set that she does on hershows. Well, honestly, even during
your shows, you don't want to, like, you don't want to be
wasting so much time to where you'reoff the stage for a while. Yeah,

(25:56):
Like when I watched Sizza, shedid I'll fit changes and she did
a hell a quick like to likethree seconds and she was back out.
Yeah, and there's one where sheactually like took the camera backstage with her
because it was part of her likelittle montage. It was really cute.
But see, and that's where I'llgive Taylor Swift props. She changes so

(26:18):
much during her like aeros to ourconcert, but you don't even really like
she were singing songs and they're stillchanging. You don't really like notice it
that much. But let me showyou. Nicki Minaj is BBL live and
in person live and in four koh shoot, we'll describe it to us.
Okay, So so it goes won'tand then you picture it so it

(26:47):
goes so the womp is at thetop, so it goes womp and then
damn. So it's like a pYeah, and like an you know,
we're not trying to body shame overhere, because it's not like I have
any yeah, but any space tolook that's oh yeah, I feel like
she's always it always looked like that. I've never seen it like that like

(27:12):
that. M yeah, it lookslike a p. Her outfits were really
nice, though, I will saythat, and I do like Nicki Minaj,
but I just had never seen herbbo in person, and so I
had some thoughts. But anyways, now that we're gonna get canceled by the
Barbs, I'm sorry, Barbes. We still she said what she said?

(27:34):
No, I'm kidding. We don'tlove Nikki. Yeah, continue, it's
just tough criticism, you know.Yeah, I love observations. Yeah,
it's what does it say, toughlove? There we go? Yeah,
well I have some exciting news.Yes, we're ready. Everybody drum roll
please, There we go. Soyou know how I forgot what episode it

(28:00):
was because we just have so manyof these podcasts now, but I talked
about how I was gonna be applyingfor this master's program that's online, yes,
at California State University, Northridge.Okay, So this program was called
what is it called? I thinkit was like Media Entertainment Management or something

(28:22):
like. Okay, So I appliedand I was like, you know,
if I get it, I getin or not. But it was like
something that I really wanted to dobecause I love working in the entertainment industry.
I do love working in radio, but like, you still have a
you know, degree under me,so if I ever do branch out into
like who knows, I don't knowmy life yet, so try to figure
it out. But I wanted toapply so I can get like more experience

(28:44):
behind the scenes. So I appliedfor it. Paid that seventy dollars.
Oh that hurts the application fees crazze. And like when I applied for undergrad,
I was able to get like ascholarship fee waivers m hm, this
time I had to pay that outof pocket, and it was just like
it's a lot of money for literally, Like I was like, you know

(29:08):
what I could do with the seventydollars, like for real? But anyways,
I got an email yesterday that Igot into the program for the master's
program. So I have to saythat I'm not gonna do it. Wait
what, I'm not doing it becausewait, wait wait wait. I feel
like I like I was like waitingfor to celebrate, but I missed it

(29:30):
because you were like, I gotin, but I'm not gonna do it.
Okay, So here's why, here'swhy you got in. Whoa who.
I didn't think I was gonna makeit, y'all. No, but
I was okay. First when Ifirst kind of got it, I didn't
realize I wasn't like as excited asI thought I was gonna be. Like
I was like, oh cool.So I was like, okay, maybe

(29:52):
that's the first time that maybe thisis this is not what I should be
doing. Second thing is and Ilooked at the coursework. I was like,
okay, let me just see, like what kind of cosses I'll be
taking, Like how long I wouldbe taking them for the course work freaking
sucks. So first of all,I thought I was gonna be like a
one year program or like fifteen monthprogram. It's a two year program.

(30:14):
So that was like a dang okay, So it was a two year program.
The cost is pretty damn expensive, like thirty eight thousand dollars. Oh
my gosh, no way. Yeah, So I'm like I'd rather just do
something out of community college. Andobviously you can't get help with that,
right, It's I think you canget like like fastpa, like they can
help you get your loans to payoff, but you honestly will be like
thirty eight thousand dollars in debt. That's a long yeah, And I was

(30:37):
like, what two years, yeah, and then not even that, like
that's robbery. The courses are likeyou take six units a semester. So
for one semester you're taking six units, but half of that semester you take
the first three units for one classand then so like from let's say like
Joe August to like October, you'retaking three units. October to December you're

(31:00):
taking the remainder three units. Soit's just like one class literally just taking
one class at a time. AndI was like, I do not want
to do that, Like I don't. So that's what really stirred me off
of not doing it, like itwill be like a fun like is that
how they like extend it so thatthey charge you more because well I would
say, yes, but it's perthey charge you based on per unit.

(31:23):
Oh okay, so it's not likethey're still charging you more somehow. Why
do I? I don't want tobe in school for two years, like
and it's slow, Like it's aslow process, Like I'd rather like it
sounds slow if you're only taking oneclass a semester that's or two classes a
semester or two hours, but itsplit. Yeah, but like I would,
That's what I'm saying. I wasjust like, yeah, this is

(31:44):
gonna drag out, and then Iwould be what thirty eight thousand dollars in
debt and then probably won't even usethis degree. Yeah. So I was
like, if it was a year, I would have done it. But
it's more than that. So yeah, that's a lot of money, a
lot. And I was like, wow, thirty because I own student loan
debt right now too, I owethem some money. Sorry, but they've

(32:05):
been like hay cheaty. Yeah, yeah, my dad's not as bad as
other people's debt. But still likethirty eight thousand more of that, no,
thank you? And then it wouldbe different if I was like going
to become a doctor or something,I could pay that off in like three
years, you know what I mean, because like, oh, I'm making
three hundred thousand years anyway, whatis thirty eight thousand dollars? But yeah,

(32:27):
I'm like I'm not making that sowell, i think I'm gonna pass.
So I kind of spend seventy dollarson nothing, but it was experience.
Well I'm happy you got it,but I'm good at boosting my esteem
a little bit. Okay, Ican't get a bad story. Oh cheaty,
Yeah, what's that sad? I'mnot mad like I told you,

(32:49):
like when I opened up the letterthe decision that you were kind of like
yeah, because like if I wasexcited about it, like oh my gosh,
I got it because I was likeI looked at my email and I
was like, oh cool. Thatwas like sh should to my family maybe,
and I told them, but Iwasn't like just like oh cool,
but it was like, oh mygosh. Like when I got into grad

(33:10):
like Gonna got into college the firsttime, I was like, oh my
god, I got in go likeaccepted this time. I'm just like it
is what it is. So areyou thinking of maybe looking into other programs
or yeah, I am. Idon't know. I think more like community
college base so I can get likesomething local, I gat less money,

(33:30):
you know, I feel like thereare I mean, obviously it depends on
what you want to do, butthere are a lot of really great and
short programs or like even just certificationsthat you can get that can help you
get like a I don't know, want like a different job in whatever field
you want. Yeah, but Ifeel like there's a lot that don't get

(33:51):
talked about, but they're out there. They're out there and I and that's
what I kind of like, Ifeel it. When I grew up,
it was more like, you know, okay, so my family, my
dad's side, they're immigrants that camefrom Nigeria. So a lot of the
time, I know a lot ofimmigrants is like they want you to become
doctors or lawyers or like you know, those high end things. So when
I was growing up, it wasmore like that was the only thing that

(34:13):
I saw was those fields, thosedegrees, those degrees, not even lawyer.
It was mostly doctor, doctor, doctor. But when I grew up,
like I didn't do a lot ofhobbies or like get to really see
what I like to do, explorethe horizon and fields. So when I
got to college, it was justkind of like, oh, shoot,
like what do I do now?Like what am I what's my calling?

(34:34):
What am I supposed to do?And then obviously like I'm grateful I got
to become and get into radio likelater down the line, but still I'm
just like huh, like I loveradio, but like side stuff, Yeah,
oh I don't know you could do. I don't know this job exists.
I don't know if this existed,I don't know you can make money
doing this. So yeah, it'sbeen crazy. It's been a ride,
but I'm happy where I'm at.Well, I'm happy to hear them.

(35:00):
I think we'll end on a happynote. Anyways, thank you guys for
