Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, it's me Michael. Your morning show can be heard
live daily on great radio stations like News Radio six
fifty k E n I Anchorage, Alaska, Talk Radio eleven
ninety Dallas Fort Worth, and Freedom one oh four seven
in Washington, d C. We'd love to have you listen
live every day and make us a part of your
morning routine. But better late than never. Enjoy the podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Well two three, starting your morning off right. A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding, because we're
in this together. This is your morning show with Michael
Bill John, Thank.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
You, Mike McCain. Everybody's working for the week. It's Friday, August,
the second you have had little twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
For that only this morning.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Are you hopped up? Well? No, I am. This hour
brought to you by Red Bull. It gives you wings.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
No.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
I used to hate my job about a year and
a half ago, and so I remember it was like
to just try to survive through to Friday and get
a couple of moments a peace. But I love my
company now and I love my job now, so Friday's
not the big deal. It used to be another happy ending. Yeah,
so to speak. If you're just waking up. We're kind
of kicking around these big themes, this whole Mama La

(01:14):
Kamala wave. Is it a narrative illusion by the media
who was pivoted right back to being an agent of
the Democrat Party or is it an actual political reality
the prison swap. Is that a Biden victory or a
putent victory? I mean, is this a dangerous precedent for
political purposes that will endanger Americans in the future. These
are real questions you should be allowed to ask. And

(01:37):
men punching women in the spirit of the Olympic Games,
it was an appalling reality, not just for an Italian boxer,
but for the world looking on. And then there's Donald
Trump himself. The former president survives an assassination and today
the President will be sitting for a victim interview with
the FBI. He also survived in ambush in Chicago at

(01:58):
the Black Journalists. He ought to be in a rare
form for not th president to the Friday with mister President.
Good morning and welcome to your morning show.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Good morning Pike a boy. We are very very excited
to be here with a nice person in the media.
You know, we don't like to think that you're in
the media, but they're a nice person, and we're a
handsome person and a talented person, and we think you're
doing a tremendous job. So I just wanted to say
that because the ratings are in again, they're through the
roof of rocket ship. You know what's going on, and

(02:34):
it is up, like like everything is up. You know that.
We think that so many great things are happening, and
what happened in Chicago was a disgrace. I hope we
talked about it. What happened in Chicago was a disgrace.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Well, you when you accepted the invitation to go to
the Black Journalist's Convention in Chicago, the presumption was Joe
Biden would be there as well. Well, now he's not
in the race. And then Mama l Kamalo just too
busy with her big rise to start him to be there.
She was going to zoom it in. They weren't interested.
It sure looked like an ambush, and then the first
question from the ABC reporter made it pretty clear it

(03:06):
was an ambush. I thought your first answer was spot on,
calling her on a rudeness and then telling them exactly
what you've done for black voters over your lifetime and
in your service as president. But that didn't stop them
from getting the narrative they wanted and making this all
about the race and not about the border, and not
about the economy. That's the game they're playing, right.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
These are sick people. I have to say, these are
very sick puppies, very sick people. And you look at
what happened, you know, Rachel Scott of ABC, we call
them fake news. I called the fake news network. We
went through our record. We have a great record. Nobody
loves black people as much as we do. You know,
we have a fantastic record, and we don't have to
lie about it. By the way, we don't have to

(03:46):
say we were arrested with Nelson Mandela or that we
were on the porch with a black family. You're not
supposed to say things like that. These are horrible things
to say. Instead, what we said was we created lots
of jobs. You know, we created so many jobs, opportunity zones.
With Tim Scott, we love him, and the left calls
him horrible things because he worked with Naked you believed there.

(04:09):
They called him Uncle Tim. It's a terrible thing. None
of these people, it's a terrible thing to say. I
would never say something like that. We love the Black community,
we love all the communities, we love the American community.
How about that. And we don't negotiate with terrorists, We
don't negotiate with bad people. These are bad people, the media,
the fake news, and they want to say racist, they

(04:31):
want to say that I said horrible things. I called
her up because she's a terrible and disgraceful journalist. And
we would do the same thing for Anny Bobby, who's
perpetuating fake news and hoaxes. That's all they do with hoaxes.
And we've done so well for the black community to
love us, and that you have this.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
You gave your answer, and at that point I would
have taken my headphone or my microphone off and just left.
But you know, then she starts quoting what other people
have said. Then the conversation gets into, you know, whether
she's Indian or black. And then I thought the response
from the White House and Karine Jean Pierre was the
most interesting. How dare you it's repulsive? How dare you

(05:09):
question how anyone chooses to identify themselves. It's like blood
work doesn't matter anymore. It's just whatever they identify as
whenever it's convenient for them. And you were you were
very astute to bring up that us, but then they
just used it against you.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Well, you see what's crazy is if I decided to
identify as a woman of color tomorrow, and I would
never do that because I would never do that. We
don't need to do that, But they would say I'm
doing something bad. Meanwhile, you could have other people who
will identify as women and punch other women in the face.
It's really disgusting what we're looking at. And these are
sick people. These are horrible people. These are people who

(05:47):
only want power. You have the Kamala Harris administration negotiating
with actual terrorists, the people who did not eleve, and
she gave them a sweetheart deal. But she lets the
January sixth ers rout they don't get a deal. But
we do a deal for people who are horrible and
killed lots of people, and one day we give them
a sweetheart deal. And I think she's doing that too

(06:08):
in Michigan. There's a lot of depth to America people.
She has to a piece and it really is disgusting.
But if I was to identify as a woman of color.
I could be orange, they'd say orange woman. Then you
understand that these are sick people, these are horrible people,
and these are people that need to be defeated. And
we're going to do that a November that much, I

(06:29):
can tell you.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Friday's with forty five on your morning show, you brought
up the Olympics yesterday. A man punching a woman dashing
all her life's work. She wanted to honor her father,
represent her country, Italy, and she gets in the ring
and she's facing a man. Afterwards, she said, I've never
felt punches like this. Of course it's a man. She
has to give up her Olympic dream in forty six seconds.

(06:51):
This is the leftist worldview, ideology and agenda gone literally mad.
You got to do something about this.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
They are putting women at risk. They call themselves the
Party of Women's Rights. That's what gets Lindsey Graham so excited.
You know who I'm talking about. He's a senator who
sits when he peace, And unfortunately this is what we
have to deal with because I've worked with him. And
I walk into the restroom and you see his feet

(07:21):
facing one direction, but he's not dropping a deuce. He's
not doing that. He's peeing. And we've heard that from
many people too. By the way, Lindsay Graham sits when
he peace, and a lot of people know that. A
lot of people know that. With Mitt Romney too in
the stall next to him, they're both thinking, you know that,
and it's a good thing. We're not going to talk
about it. We don't have to talk about what may

(07:42):
happen or what may not happen. But we look at
these people. Angela Karini, she's a tremendous patriot of Italy
and she should have done a lot better than what
she did in the Olympics, having to face a guy. Unfortunately,
this is what the left has done. Put these women
like Lindsey Graham in the ring with men like me,

(08:04):
and they expect great things to happen with these competitions.
I guess that's what equity looks like. It's a horrible
thing and they ought to be ashamed of themselves. And
my heart breaks for Angela and for the Nation of Italy,
who I got along very well with and we love
Prime Minister Maloney. She's a tremendous vers that she made
faces at Crooked Joe because he probably pooped. Of course,

(08:25):
we know about the Vatican. It happened around there. But
I got along very well with Italy. I do very well.
I have the greatest Bolognier sauce, by the way, yes,
and we do very very well with it. And you're
Italian too, we understand that. That's why we call you
pizza boy. You must be very upset.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I am full blooded and I don't believe in striking women.
And by the way, the Vatican has not confirmed or
denied you're reporting a Biden poop. All right, let's talk
about your kaka.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
And flenteo Papa, and everybody knows about it. Okay, everybody
knows about it. He pooped in front of the Pope.
Nobody wants to talk about it. Oh yeah, we all
know what happened.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I'm waiting for the Latin translation on that one. All right,
So you're running, mate.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Jd.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Vance is celebrating his birthday. I've begining a lot of emails,
you know, because they're digging stuff up about him. The
latest they dug up is some of his anti Simone
Biles comments in a previous Olympic. A lot of people
jumped on that bandwagon. Ridiculously, the addressing of single women
and cats. I've had one person say, why didn't you
vet this guy better? Why didn't you just go with Marco?

(09:27):
Did anybody see this stuff coming? Are you still as
confident as ever?

Speaker 3 (09:31):
And jd Well, jd Vance is doing a tremendous job.
And the reason why you know he's doing a tremendous
job is because the left and all of these people
hate him. You have Chuck Schumer, who also sits with
the peas, and it must be something going on in
the Senate because you have Romney and Ludsey Graham and
Chuck Schumer and some of these other people. But they

(09:51):
tell me to pick somebody else. We're not going to
take advice from Chuck Schumer. We're not going to do that.
Cry and Chuck. We call him crying Chuck because he cries.
And he said that I incited not an insurrection but
something else. And well we don't need to talk about
that either. But you have Chuck Schumer, you have these people.
They don't like Jenny Vance, they don't like me. I'm
an outlaw. He's a hillbilly, and there's nothing more American

(10:14):
than an outlaw and a hillbilly running for president, whereas
on the other side you may have Mark Kelly, which
means Kamala and Mark Kelly, two Space cadets running for president.
You believe that you may have Josh Shapiro, which is
going to make people in Michigan very upset because they
don't like Jewish people. We love Jewish people. They don't
like Jewish people on the Democrat side, and if they

(10:37):
say they do, they're lying. They're fake newspeople. But we
love JD. Vance. He's a tremendous guy. He fought for
our country, he built a business for our country, and
he made comments. It's freedom of speech. The left nates
comments too. Nobody wants to talk about it. They comment
about me dying all the time, about Hitler and all
of these horrible things. Nobody wants to say it. JD.

(10:57):
Mans makes a comment about cats and the world, who's
gone crazy. I can't believe it. But this is what
happens with the fake news media. I can tell you that.
And we love cats, and we love people, and we
love everybody, and we're going to win for everybody, all right.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Closing Moments with forty five Fridays with forty five the
prison swap. You made a crystal clear of course you're
excited to have these Americans home, but you're also concerned.
Was this a Biden victory, time for a political gain
or was this a Putin victory? When you want to
get murderers and dangerous people back, just innocently grab somebody.

(11:31):
This is why we don't negotiate with terrorists, and we
should negotiate with Putin. Your thoughts on this whole prison swap, well, I.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Got along very well with Putin. Okay, I got to
look very well with Putin. I called him Plad. He's
a great guy. You know, he's not great to his people.
But I got along very well with him. And he
called me one day he said, mister President, I'm going
into Ukraine. I said, Glad to me, you're not going
to do that. Planned, We're not going to do that.
Stay in Russia, Russia, Russia, play with your nesting dolls,

(12:00):
have a shot a boka, and call it a day.
And he said, okay, we're gonna do that. Uh, And
he didn't go into Ukraine. Horrible people. We have these
horrible people. You see what happened. We had Britney Griner,
who's Adam Zapple is bigger than anything I've ever seen.
And they get her out of the prison. Okay, they
get her out. We give up the merchant of death,

(12:20):
Victor Boot, merchant of death. You're not supposed to do that,
horrible negotiation tool. Who knows what the hell we gave up.
We're happy to get these people home. We're very happy
to get these people home. I have to say that,
but I don't know what we gave up. And I
guarantee you, if I was your president, we would not
have given up that much. I got along great with Putin,
with Little Rocket Man, with President g of China. We

(12:43):
called them Winnie the Pooh. We got along very well
with these people, and we did tremendously well with ordeals.
We give up horrible things under the Biden Harris regime.
These are terrible, terrible deals that we're making. We're very
happy to get our people home, but I don't know
what we gave up. And I know Russia probably get
the better end of the deal because Biden and Harris.

(13:04):
Those are Putin's puppets, not me. I held them in
mund Those are putin S puppets.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
That's a Friday with forty five held to the chief.
He's the one we all say hail to. He has
the power because he takes his shower. Mister President, thank
you for your time.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Thank you, and God bless you pets. The boy you're
Atrimondus guy, I appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Twenty minutes after the hour, your morning show continues next
with your top five stories of the day. This is
your Morning Show with Michael Deltono. If you're just waking up,
these are the top five stories.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Of the day.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
No moral.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Trump's running mate made a run to the border. Brian
Shook has our road to the White House.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Donald Trump's running mate JD. Vance is touring the US
Mexico border. Vance met with law enforcement officials in Cochies County,
Arizona Thursday and s lam to what he called the
Harris administration's open border policies.

Speaker 6 (14:04):
Paula Harris came into office making promises, and she kept
those promises. To open the America's southern border, a South
deportations on day one, A South construction of the border wall.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
He promised to implement the so called Remain in Mexico
policy and construction of the border wall. If Trump wins
the White House in November. The Trump campaign has repeatedly
attacked Harris on immigration since she recently became the likely
Democratic nominee for president. In Washington, I'm Brian Shuck.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Over one hundred million Americans there under a heat warning
or advisory of some type. Mark Mayfield has the details.

Speaker 7 (14:40):
Forecasters say a high pressure system stretching across parts of
the US will cause temperatures to rise above one hundred
degrees from central California to the mid Atlantic. The heat
index factory in humidity could send temperatures soaring up to
one hundred and fifteen degrees in parts of the central US.
The National Weather Service as a heat wave could last
through next week and could cause an increase in wildfires

(15:01):
in the western US. I'm Mark Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Lawmakers are celebrating the release of Americans jailed in Russian
who wouldn't but some are raising concerns about prisoner swaps.
Lisa Taylor has more.

Speaker 8 (15:11):
House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Michael McCall said he was
thrilled Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich and former Marine
Paul Whalen and others were free, but added he's worried
the exchange for Russian prisoners could encourage future hostage taking. Meanwhile,
Republican Senator Todd Young, who sits on the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee, said the exchange was not equal. Garret Haik
has more.

Speaker 9 (15:31):
In the exchange, Russia secured the release of eight people,
the most notable the Dean Krasikoff, a Russian hitman who
was serving a life sentence in Germany for the murder
of a Chechen dissident and what prosecutor said was a
Russian state sanctioned assassination. According to a senior Administration official,
Russia would not agree to a deal that did not
involve Krassakoff.

Speaker 8 (15:50):
The Wall Street Journal says the swap was made at
a Turkish airport and reportedly involves multiple Russians, with Germany
and Belarus playing a part in the deal. I'm me
sit tailor.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
The judicial branch continues to keep the executive branch in check.
A US appeal Scored is blocking the Biden administration from
reinstating net neutrality rules. Tammy Trihilo explains.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
The rules would prohibit Internet service providers from slowing speeds
or blocking content for certain users, and would also stop
providers from blocking certain websites. During the Trump administration, the
FCC argued the rules were unnecessary, but last April voted
to reinstate them. On Thursday, the Sixth Circuit US Court
of Appeals said it was temporarily blocking the rules because

(16:30):
broadband providers were likely to succeed in illegal challenge. Oral
arguments on the issure set for late October. I'm Tammy Trihello.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
There are about twenty three billion text messages sent everyday worldwide,
which poses the question would you rather take a call
or a text? Pre Tennis says the.

Speaker 10 (16:46):
Answer It all depends on your age, because the younger
you are, the more you text. Phone carrier Cell Cell
claims thirty one percent of all Americans would rather text
than take a call. If you're between the ages of
eighteen and twenty four, you sent about sixty texts a day.
If you fall between thirty five and forty four, you
sent about fifty two. And those are average numbers. Perhaps

(17:07):
you're above average. I'm Bree Tennis.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
And that's your top five stories of the day. Hi,
I'm Michael. I'd love to have you listen to your
morning show live every day. We're earn on great stations
like News Talk five point fifty k FYI and Phoenix
News Radio eleven ninety k EX in Portland at ten
ninety The Patriot in CPP. Make us a part of
your morning routine. We'd love to have you listen live,
but in the meantime, enjoy the podcast. You can always

(17:30):
email me Michael di at iHeartMedia dot com. Karen writs,
why do people think it's a precedent for the future.
What's happening right now in the present. They captured these Americans,
so in the future they would know that we would
trade for them. I think the precedent needs to say
no Americans are going to Russia, and if you do,

(17:52):
you're on your own. Karen, appreciate your thoughts. White House
correspondent and attorney John Decker is here. It's being called
one of the most complicated pre is new exchanges in history.
Call me a old fashion sports fan, but we made
a trade. What did we get, what did they get?
And why was this so complicated? John Goodmore, Well, it.

Speaker 11 (18:11):
Was complicated because typically with these prisoner exchanges, Michael, it's
one country dealing with another country. For instance, like Britney Griner,
her release that occurred last year. That was just Russia
dealing with the United States. This involved seven countries all together,
and the reason why so many countries were implicated is
because Russia was insisting upon that they had a number

(18:34):
of Russian citizens in prisons all around the world places
not only like the United States, but also Slovenia and
Germany and Norway and seven countries altogether involved in this process.
What the US got was the release of four individuals,
four of our citizens, including three journalists. Germany got the

(18:55):
release of eight of their citizens. What Russia got back
was a lot of bad people, people that were in prisons,
and rightly so, for a number of crimes, including assassinations
on foreign soil. So this is something that you know, obviously,
these are no there are no easy answers to this,
no no black and white, a lot of gray when

(19:16):
you're dealing with this kind of situation. But I think
you know, you look at the faces of those freed
Americans who landed in outside of Washington last night on
American soil, and you see their beaming faces and the
beaming faces of their families, and you know, it just
makes you, you know, forget for a moment what had
to be done absolutely order to win the release.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
You're so by the way. I know you hate this,
but you're so good at what you do, and I
appreciate you being reasonable. I mean, who wouldn't be happy
for the families and these individuals to be free. But
you touched on the most difficult part about this, and
that is the ones they get back did awful things murder, fraud,
and got captured. The ones that we got back did nothing.

(19:58):
It sure looks like Putin's plan. I'll grab people, attach
any accusation to them to get really bad people that
we've had get caught. So you're just left with okay, Well,
this is why we don't negotiate with terrorists, you know,
because eventually they use this to get what they want.
It's difficult to get your arms around. It's not a

(20:18):
good situation, but it's good to have two Americans home.
I wanted to run one by you, and I hope
this doesn't take you by surprise. But there is one
teacher left behind again, Mark Fogel. Why are we having
such a hard time getting him back?

Speaker 11 (20:31):
I don't know why that particular case was not a
part of this big prisoner squall. I don't know the
answer to that he I think is a very similar
situation to Brittany Griner. You know, Britney Griner had a
legal substances in her possession when she was detained by
Russian authorities. Same thing with mister Vogel. That's not to

(20:52):
excuse anything. I'm just simply describing his situation today. This morning,
the National Security Advisor Exullivant asked specifically about mister Vogel's
situation and said that the State Department the United States
is still doing everything in their power to win his
release as well. But you feel for anybody being left behind.

(21:14):
You think about it this way, Michael. You remember when
Britney Griner was released and Paul Whealan was not a
part of that release, and the disappointment that the Whalan
family must have felled at that point. And that's probably
the same kind of disappointment that mister Fogels family feels
right now.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
You know.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
I used to always say, behind every headline is a story,
and behind every story, that's what there's so much to
talk about. I mean, the real understanding and sometimes the
devil is in the details. You would say, behind every
this headline are real lives, real family members who you know,
their whole focus and passion in life is revolving around

(21:51):
this injustice, being righted and getting their loved one back.
You can only imagine as thrilling as this is. You know,
for the family members in the case of Vogel and
others that had their hopes up and their names weren't
on the list, you know that problem still continues. All right,
have a great weekend. Yeah, great reporting all week Thank

(22:13):
you so much. Have a great weekend. All right. Look,
the bottom line on this is, you know, this is
probably and you can't win for saying it. The question
is is this a Biden victory or is this a
Putin win per his plan? And the answer is, uh,

(22:39):
it's a victory for these families and they receive their
loved one back. But the latter is equally true, and
so you just kind of take it with a grain
of salt. I'm kind of with Karen, you know, although
you know, in the case of reporters, they're sent around
the world to report, that's their job. But you know

(23:02):
there are some places where you're if you travel and
it's dangerous and you get caught, you either take the
start view of well you go, you're on your own
and if you're caught, you know there's nothing we can do,
because by doing what we do to get you back,
we're just ensuring others in the future are going to
be taken captive for the same unjust reasons. It's a

(23:25):
tough one, tough it's a tough story, and I think
Donald Trump hit the nail right on the head, even
though he got completely persecuted all day yesterday. Of course,
you're thrilled for these two families, but you ought to
be equally concerned over what we gave up and the
precedented sense we did it. A little segment earlier with
our top stories of the day, I think you know

(23:46):
if you were following social media, and more people are
on social media than watching NBC, ABC, CBS Nightly News
or Fox or MSNBC or CNN or anyone else, let
alone reading Axios or Washington Post. The big story really
wasn't the hostage exchange as much as the Italian boxer
Angela Carina. This is a young lady who has dedicated

(24:06):
her entire life for this moment that needs to be
humanly appreciated. You train your entire life for an Olympic Games,
and then the bell rings and all your training comes
down to that moment. I mean, think of all the
hours in days and years in sacrifice and perfecting of
gifting and craft in a gym. But then you get

(24:27):
to the Olympics and you got to get on the
beam and one slip can end it all. That's what
makes these games so special. But for this young lady, well,
her quote says it all. I'm heartbroken. I went to
the ring to represent my country, to honor my father.
I was told a lot of times that I'm a warrior,
but I prefer to stop for my safety and health.

(24:50):
I've never been punched like this, and the reason is
the Algerian boxer is a born man punching a woman.
Women in the spirit of the Olympiad. You talk about
a leftist agenda gone absolutely mad. Another big story that

(25:15):
no one has talked about is this buried footage obtained
shows numerous non citizens admitting to not only being registered
to vote, but also having voted. In fact, and don't
picture slums and projects. This is a really nice apartment

(25:35):
complex filled with illegal aliens and a very key district
of Georgia, and a staggering fourteen percent of them that
are non citizens admitted to being registered or having voted.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
Listen, we come from a company that is dedicated to
registering Hispanic people so they can vote in upcoming elections.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Are you already registered? Are we already voted? You already voted? Yes?
Are you a citizen or no? Have you already been
registered or yeah? Are you a citizen or.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
No?

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Have you already been registered at work? Yes, we have.
You've already been registered. Are you a citizen or not?
A citizen? The apartment complex. So here's the bottom line.
If America ever questions the legitimacy of elections, well you're

(26:38):
you're instantly an insurrectionist. You could probably, if you're in
the media, be fired from your job. Well what about
this in real time? Why isn't anybody investigating this? If
fourteen percent in this apartment complex all illegal immigrants and

(27:00):
given residents there specifically there in a key precinct of
a swing state. If we know that now, can we
address it now without being an insurrectionist? This is the
game they play. I talked to a congressman about twenty
five years ago on the air, and he stated, it's
so simple. Well, Michael, the problem with immigration is the

(27:23):
left loves the votes and the right loves the cheap labor.
Don't ever expect him to solve it. But if you're
looking at this invasion in some case terrorists, in some
case criminals, in some cases human traffickers, ventanyl traffickers, why
would anybody allow this? Perhaps that thirty four seconds is

(27:44):
your best glimpse as to why. The final story that
I think is very interesting, and I've just put it
in there as a grain of salt. I'm looking. I
studied this. It was an Associated Press story covering a
pece of research that was done concerning vice presidential choices

(28:04):
for Kamala Harris and the bottom line, and I don't
have a lot of time, but I'll spare you. The
Associated Press Public Affairs research poll pretty much shows none
of them have any name recognition. You know, talk about
Changles plugged for the podcast we talked with David Sonatti earlier.

(28:26):
Why would they go with a no name that people
don't know, the same reason they picked Tim Kaine with
Hillary Clinton, It's about Podesta. He's the puppet master. They're
just the puppet. And you don't want two puppets. And
you know, anybody that upset the puppet show. You can
only put your hand in one's you know what at
a time, So I doubt that they're very upset over

(28:50):
this poll. Of all the no names, and we're talking
about only a third of the people even recognize the
name Mark Kelly actually tests the highest Shapiro, which applies
to the electoral College map Pennsylvania, and there is no
path forward for the Democrats without it. He's broadly unknown

(29:10):
by the American people and even insiders in the Democrat Party.
He's only really known in the Northeast. The poll found
that six and ten US adults, including fifty seven percent
of Democrats, don't know enough about them to even have
an opinion. Two and ten Americans view him favorably two
and ten. So make a big deal out of this

(29:32):
big decision that's coming from Kamala Harris. She's got it
down to six six that nobody knows anything about. There
will not be a game changer because the game isn't
being played by the candidates, it's the puppet masters behind
the scene. So while news is mostly narratives and usually
used to divert your attention from what's really going on,

(29:54):
there's the three things that I think qualify as news
and demand a next time declamation or further investigation.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
This is Rebecca in spring Hill, Tennessee, and my morning
show is your Morning Show with Michael del jorna Michael
del Jorno.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
How about Simone Biles? Another gold? Sony Lee grabbed the bronze.
Katie Ldecci thirteenth goal, got a gold and thirteenth medal overall,
she is now the most decorated female swimmer in Olympic history.
Team USA extended its lead. It's got a total of
thirty seven medals, a nine gold, fifteen silver, thirteen bronze.
That's ten more than the second place host country France.

(30:33):
China sits in third. We did have football. The Bears
won the Hall of Fame Game twenty one seventeen over
the Texans. In Canton, Guardians won ten to three over
the O's. Cardinals lost five for to the Cubbies. Everybody
else was off and vice presidential running me Jade Vance
celebrating his fortieth birthday and SNL cast member and friend
Victoria Jackson sixty five years old today, Happy birthday. If

(30:54):
it's your birthday, all right, Roos and O'Neill is here,
Rory with the final story. I just went over some
stats behind You're back, and basically it's a new AP
poll and what it shows pretty clearly is that none
of these final six have any name recognition. In fact, Shapiro,
who I think is going to be the pick, has
name recognition in the Northeast. But the poll found that
six and ten US adults, including fifty seven percent of Democrats,

(31:17):
don't know enough to have an opinion about Shapiro himself.
It's six people with very low name recognition, but that
shouldn't surprise us. Hillary chose Tim Kaine, who was primarily
of regional notoriety, and we're going to all find out
very soon, probably over the next two to four days, right.

Speaker 12 (31:34):
Well, right, so tuesdays of the day they kick off
this tour in Philadelphia with the complete ticket. But the
fact that Shapiro was known in Pennsylvania is all that's needed.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
It really matters.

Speaker 12 (31:44):
The Democrats need Pennsylvania if they're going to win the
White House. It really is a keystone state for them.
So as long as he is his approval is over
sixty percent there in Pennsylvania, they think that might be
enough to make the state go blue.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
That way, that frees up Harris.

Speaker 12 (31:59):
And the like to campaign more in Michigan, Nevada, Arizona,
other swing states.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Yeah, that makes it a miscon really a Michigan, Wisconsin,
Arizona race at that point. But there it's very difficult
to find a path forward for the Democrats without Pennsylvania.
It almost becomes a moon landing at that point. So
that would be key. And that would be that. By
the way, in this and all of them relatively low notoriety,

(32:27):
the one with low notoriety and the highest approval rating
is actually Kelly in Arizona, which would also be an
electoral college map play. I still think it's between those two.

Speaker 12 (32:36):
Right Rory, Yeah, I would have Those are my one
two thoughts for who might be the pick here, you know,
and they also you know, Kelly also brings a military background,
which is something that Harris may be lacking even as
VP for four years, so he might help to round
out the ticket that way. Plus that compelling story about
his wife surviving the shooting, and he's an astronaut and

(32:57):
a Navy pilot and all that, So there's a lot
of compelling stuff he can bring to the table.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Any chance we get a surprise. A governor from Kentucky
or elsewhere. Kentucky doesn't get you anything. I mean, god,
it balances your ticket though, if you've got you know,
if you're a Democrat sitting in a swing state and
you think the party's gone too far left, he could help.
It depends on the state you're in. Well, I think

(33:26):
we know they're not going to do Michigan. That'd be
two women on the ticket. I don't think they're going
to run that risk. I think it's going to be
Arizona or Pennsylvania. I would remind everybody Tim Kane too,
while relatively unknown, was a governor and a member of Congress.
But you know, at that time, Virginia was very important.
It was an electoral college. I expect an electoral college
map plane right.

Speaker 12 (33:46):
I don't think this was a big swing either way
for the Trump ticket. That was really just a codifive
Republicans who were concerned that Donald Trump didn't know where
Pennsylvania Avenue was in relation to the Capitol. So that's
I think that was kind of a different play. Same
with Joe Biden on the Obama ticket, like oh, let's
let's bring somebody in who can who knows Washington.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Anything we might be missing, like you know, loves single women,
loves cats, or anything else could figure in the look.

Speaker 12 (34:16):
The fact that the governorship here was Jewish is an
X factor.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
In some of this.

Speaker 12 (34:20):
Some say that, you know that the liberal wing of
the party doesn't want to support Jewish or the progressive
wing I doesn't want to be voting for someone who's Jewish.
But then you can argue, you know, well, then what
the heck is Bernie Sanders and Vermont? You know, I mean, yeah,
so you could argue and counter counterpoint with that one.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Well, yeah, and only time will tell that, you know,
does that give you Pennsylvania? But Lujiah Michigan and Minnesota. Right,
that's where that concentration is. Great reporting all week Rory
will whoever she picks, we'll be covering it before and after,
have a great weekend. We'll talk then we're all in
this together. This is your Morning show with michae Olden
Hill and showing though
