Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, gang, it's me Michael. You can listen to your
morning show live. Make us a part of your morning
routine or your drive to work companion on great stations
like Talk Radio ninety eight point three and fifteen to
ten WLAC in Nashville, Tupelow's News and Talk one on
one point one and ten sixty WKMQ, and how about
Talk six fifty KSTE in Sacramento, California. Love to have

(00:21):
you listen live, but are grateful you're here now for
the podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Enjoy well two three, starting your morning off right. A
new way of talking, a new way of understanding, because
we're in this together. This is your morning show with
Michael O'Dell John.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
By the way, that's that's a clever line. We're all
we are all in this together. Whatever we're in we're
in it together. You buying into this lie that we
are a two state divided against itself is the problem.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
It may not be.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Your party represented in the White House, but they're still
flying the plane and we're all on it and we're
going through some turbulence right now eight minutes after the hour.
Thanks for waking up with your morning show. There's a
couple of things you know that the top stories are
Vice President Harris is now officially the nominee. Think about

(01:27):
that for a second and let it soak in. How
can a candidate be the presidential nominee without ever campaigning,
ever debating, ever receiving a single primary vote. How is
that even possible? Well it is, and that's saving democracy.

(01:48):
And now she's going to choose a running mate having
not even run herself. And it seems the word is
this morning, it's been narrowed down to two governors, one
from Minnesota and the other from Pennsylvania, som Waltz or
Josh Shapiro. Now this is where it gets interesting in
your planning. Buried in our top stories today is what

(02:11):
I think is the two biggest stories. One is reports
that several US personnel have been injured a rocket attack
against a US military base in Iraq. Is this it
all associated with Iran's planned attacks against Israel? This is
a proxy war between Israel and Iran proxies Hamas and

(02:33):
Hesbealah about to become a direct war. And the two
of them are proxies for Russia, China and the US.
So is it possible a proxy war is about to
be a direct war or even worse. Well, we'll ask
Attenant Colonel James Carafano about that next hour. But that's big.
Tensions in war is escalating in the Middle East. Then

(02:57):
we've talked so much. I've heard a couple of other
people here and there bring it up, but not the
way we consistently bring it up. The correlation, the coincidences
of nineteen sixty eight and twenty twenty four are breathtaking.
Now you don't have RFK, you have RFK Junior. The

(03:19):
assassination attempt was on Donald Trump, though when we had
all of our meaningful discussions. When you think about it,
Donald Trump is really the RFK in this election. The
party forced Johnson out of the way because of the
Vietnam War. The Democrats today are having problems with the
war in the Middle East. You also had an anti

(03:43):
war candidate McCarthy, and then you had the vice president Humphrey.
Then you had the anti civil rights movement Wallace. We
don't talk much about the third party candidate RFK Junior,
but he's there and I got news for you. He's

(04:06):
going to make a bigger impact in these swing states
than whatever vice presidential choice is made today. The trickiest
and perhaps the wisest could be Shapiro. But then look
at this other top story of the day. The dispute
between Chicago officials and groups planning to protest during the

(04:28):
Democratic National Convention later this month rages on. During a
hearing yesterday, demonstrators demanded more direct and longer routes for
their protests due to the large number of people expected
to march. Now, can you imagine if Iran and Israel
are in a war when this takes place in days?

(04:55):
Because it is the anti Israel sentiment, not only within
the Democrat Party, which gives these paid agitators the window
to wreak havoc the way protesters wreak havoc in sixty eight,
not just on the bloody streets of Chicago, but inside
the convention center. What I find fascinating is I think

(05:21):
Josh Shapiro is the right choice, but he's the most
problematic choice, especially two weeks from now in Chicago, especially
when apparently these anti Israel protesters have so many coming
they need more direct and longer routes for their protesters.

(05:46):
In fact, several pro Palestinian activists sued the city in
March in order to secure protest routes that are near
the convention center. How nineteen sixty eight and now he's
they're not on mere daily like nineteen sixty eight. But
a judge who will make a decision next week.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Absolutely there will be tens of thousands of people, especially
if there's an expanded war.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
I'm gonna use an analogy, and I don't mean to
infringe on anybody's comfort zones. One of my favorite things,
you know, because we forget apostles are just like us. Right, Oh,
we read it today, we go that was a dumb question.
He's Jesus. Well, yeah, but we'd have asked the same
dumb question. Or how about on the boat the storm's brewing,

(06:37):
Jesus is snoring at the front of the boat. You
wouldn't have yelled and screamed and woke them up and said, hey,
we're about to die and you're sleeping. I mean, the
notion would be, well, if he's on the boat, we're safe.
But that was too much faith for them at the time,

(07:01):
and very agitating to Jesus. He'd appreciate being woken up
or the lack of faith. But I love when they
finally get around asking him, hey, when does Alvis end?
What should we look for? And he uses the analogy
of birth pains. That's what this morning feels like. There's
a birth coming. I don't know if it's another shadow

(07:24):
campaign to save democracy where the media controls the narrative,
the operatives harvest and secure the votes and get their
victory and the rest of us feel cheated, or there's
something else being birthed. For the last five to twelve years,

(07:46):
for me, the biggest stories have been centralized government controlling
its people and doing so by controlling the media and
the narratives and silencing opposition voices. But they can't do
that anymore. Nobody's watching ABCNBCCPS nightly news. As much as

(08:11):
you love Fox, there's not that many people in fact,
most days Fox. This is staggering to me. Well, CNN,
for sure, there are days that CNN on in every
airport worldwide on cable as less listeners than I had
in Tels, Oklahoma in nineteen ninety five. There's not that

(08:32):
many people watching everything that's frothing you up. And they
don't have that much influence anymore. Where they did have
a stronghold with social media, but Elon Musk took care
of that with X. It's something different, birthing and brewing.

(08:56):
What do all narratives die of in the end?

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Truth?

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Consequence? Reality? Is that happening in the economy. For all
the emotional narrative wave games they're playing, you're still paying
more at the grocery store than you ever have. There
was a great I posted on my Facebook wall. You

(09:21):
when we talk about these inflation numbers, they're just comparing
year to year. The problem is what has happened since COVID.
You're paying twenty to thirty percent more. This little wobble
year to year is not what's making us all go broke.
All this is coming to a head. How many times

(09:43):
have we said, every time you go to the grocery store,
every time you fill up your tank at the pump,
it's more powerful than any commercial they can create. It
may not be more powerful than you know ground shenanigans
to create and harvest, but it's enough to dispel emotional
narrative games. It seems to all be coming ahead. The

(10:08):
failed foreign policy seem to all be coming ahead, with
the timing of a war breaking out right as the
convention breaks out right, as the protest breakout on the streets.
So Kamala makes her big choice today. The right choice
is going to look really wrong in two weeks. That's

(10:28):
the crazy reality waking up today. And she's in the
midst of a media created narrative wave, not a reality.
The reality is going to be by the time they
get to the convention and their foreign policy and economic
vision is exposed as a reality of failure with violence

(10:51):
in the streets and potentially in the convention hall. How
nineteen sixty eight with a head cold and the sore throat,
it's too hard to do it, but I had to
get my three in. By the way, thanks to Jeffrey,

(11:14):
I went into a rabbit hole. While you guys were
enjoying the news and commercials, I got to the bottom
of the whole Snoop Dogg thing. Now, a lot of
you been wondering what the heck is Snoop Dogg doing
as the US mascot in Paris, and then the reports
emerge that he's making a half a million dollars a day. Now,
first of all, I'm in radio and I never get

(11:36):
more than a week at a time off because if
I leave, you assume I'm fired, and then you can
find another show, and we lose a lot of ground.
Not good, And it's hard to do to Europe inside
of a week. So I am still dying, and I'm
gonna have to wait to do Italy and Paris and
Israel after I retire. But let me tell you, it
would be a dream for me to go spend two
weeks in Paris, right, It would be a miraculous dream

(12:02):
to have somebody just pay my flight, pay for my food,
and pay for my hotel let alone. Can you imagine
you get to go to Paris for two weeks, You
get to go to the greatest Olympic events for two weeks,
You get all your expenses paid, and you make a
half a million dollars a day. I'll give you a

(12:26):
second to process how long it takes for you to
make a half a million dollars a day?

Speaker 4 (12:31):
For me, it's years. I don't know about you, but
for me, it's years. So it's true. Five hundred thousand,
yes and no.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Okay, So I go down the rabbit hole and I
dig it up. There's a guy named Henry macnamara. He's
one of the world's most influential young entrepreneurs and according
to Forbes, so it's a credible entrepreneur and a credible
source in Forbes right, he claims he overheard NBC executives

(12:59):
talking about Snoop making three hundred ninety three pounds a day,
which is five hundred thousand dollars every day.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Whoa plus expenses. Snoop Dogg Wow is living the American
dream and he's.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Hanging out with Martha Stewart half a million dollars a day.
Virtually confirmed. You see, nothing gets by me because an
addition to being an author, an addition to being a speaker,
a stand up comedian, a talk show host, actor, I
am executive producer if you're a boarding show.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
So that's it.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
That's pretty confirmed. So with the Olympics, it's at least
fourteen days. It's more than that, I think. But you're
looking at seven plus million dollars expenses paid for Snoop
dog And if all people Snoop Dogg, I mean, can
you But here's what brought me to my knees. Can
you imagine how much Taylor Swift should have gotten, Oh
my goodness, if she did what she did.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
For the NFL during the regular season. Can you imagine.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
It's an interesting times you do, and I got more
of them coming up.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
This is Your Morning Show with Michael Deltona the top
stories waking up.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
The spiral of the American financial market on Monday is
stoking fears of a recession. Not mine, as we dispelled
last half hour, but many. Mark Mayfield explains.

Speaker 6 (14:19):
One of the most accurate indicators of a recession was
triggered after July's poor jobs report. The inventor of the
so called psalm rule, Coloniosom, doesn't believe we are in
a recession yet, but adds we are not in a
good place. At the closing bell, the down Jones Industrial
Average lost one thousand and thirty three points to thirty
eight seven oh three y s and P five hundred
fell by one hundred and sixty points to fifty one

(14:40):
eighty six. The NASDAK dropped by five hundred and seventy
six points to sixteen two hundred.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
I'm Mark Mayfield.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Reports say several US personnel have been injured in a
rocket attack against a US military base in Iraq. It
happened at the Al Asad Air Base. Not yet known
where the strikes came from, but ABC News is are
howarding two rockets were launched at the base. This comes
with the growing fears of an attack of Iran on Israel.
President Biden and Vice President Harris were both briefed on

(15:10):
the attack. Voters in four states out of the polls
today for key primary races and a primary race decided
already on both ends. Tammy Trehilo has more details.

Speaker 7 (15:21):
Missouri Progressive Corey Bush is defending her House seat against
Democratic challenger Saint Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell. The race
is highlighted divides in the Democratic Party over the Israel
Hamas war, as Bush has taken a strong stance against
Israel's military campaign in Gaza. In Michigan, three term Congresswoman
Alyssa Slotkin is the leading candidate for her party's nomination

(15:42):
to the Senate. The winner of the Democratic primary will
likely go up against former Representative Mike Rodgers, who Donald
Trump backs. Primaries are also underway today in Kansas and Washington.
I'm Tammy Triheo.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
The federal judge is ruling Google violated US anti trust law.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Lisa Taylor has more.

Speaker 8 (15:59):
In a landmark Tosa decision issued Monday, the judge says
the tech giant acted illegally to maintain an online search monopoly.
The Department of Justice and a group of several states
sued Google in twenty twenty. They accused Google of paying
companies such as Samsung and Apple billions of dollars each
year to have their smartphones and web browsers automatically use
their search engine. The ruling could lead to penalties such

(16:22):
as forcing Google to change the way it operates or
even sell parts of its business.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
I'mly said tailor, and everybody said amen.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
The American Red Cross says there's an extreme shortage of
blood in the nation.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Brian Shook reports.

Speaker 9 (16:35):
Last month, extreme heat impacted blood drives across the country,
resulting in a twenty five percent decrease in blood donations.
As a thank you and an incentive, people who donate
this month will receive a twenty dollars Amazon gift card.
More information is posted at redcrossblood dot org slash help.

(16:55):
I'm Brian Shook.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
All right.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
The US still leads the world seventy nine total metals,
that is twenty five better than second place, and we're
tied with China with twenty one gold. As the US
dominance at the Paris Olympic Games continue. In baseball, Rangers one,
Dbacks one, NAT's Cardinals and Guardians lost.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
Mariners and Rays were off.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Birthdays today NBA great The Admiral David Robinson fifty nine
years old, Spice Girl Ginger Spice, Jerry Horner fifty two
and from the Conjuring and Up in the Air. One
of my favorite actresses, Vera Farmiga, is fifty one years
old today.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
Hi, it's Michael.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Your morning show can be heard on great radio stations
across the country like News Talk ninety two point one
and six hundred WREC and Memphis, Tennessee, or thirteen hundred
The Patriot and Tulsa are Talk six to fifty KSTE
in Sacramento, California.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
We invite you to listen live.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
While you're getting ready in the morning. It did take
us along for the drive to work, but as we
always say, better late than never. Thanks for joining us
for the podcast.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
I'm on the Cleveland Clinic website. I googled can you
die of a cold? It says the common cold isn't fatal,
but it can lead to other conditions that could cause
severe health problems.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
So potentially I am dying.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Of the common head Coult thirty six minutes after the hour,
meme of the day hands down, Calm down, the market
isn't crashing.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
Your four to one k is just getting unburdened from.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
What it has been in the past, just being traumatic.
Are we heading into a recession or just having a
couple of down days due to tech and job reports.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
That seems to be the debate of the hour.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
The Vice President Kamala Harris. She has apparently narrowed things
down to two and the odd man out as Arizona's
Mark Kelly, the one guy ready to serve is out,
it seems to be. Or the rumors are it's between
Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania, Young, very liberal and Jewish,

(18:55):
which could be a problem for the party heading into
the convention in Chicago. Or how about the other potential
swing state, not the primary swing state, but Minnesota's governor
Tim Waltz, And no one knows enough about him for
us to even gauge him in terms of polling numbers.
But come out, come out wherever you are, Mama La
Kamala will make the announcement today and tropical storm Debbi

(19:18):
continues to dump lots of water in northern Florida and
into the Carolinas, causing flooding, and the US added another
eight medals yesterday. We dominate the world with seventy nine
total medals at the Paris Olympic Games. Well, the big
story of the day, if not the war brewing in
the Middle East, is definitely Kamala Harris making her deep
choice kenne candidate win a presidential nomination without ever campaigning,

(19:44):
without ever debating or receiving a single vote. Well, the
answer is yes, and it happened in the middle of
the light of the night last night. Virtually she secured
the nomination. Today she will choose her vice president, having
never even run herself. How has this happened in the
name of democracy? And what on earth might be next?

(20:05):
We ask, are your Morning Show contributor and CEO of
the American Policy Roundtable in one af back of an
American David's Nati, Good morning, David, Good.

Speaker 10 (20:16):
Morning, Michael. You certainly framed the question that we're hearing
from all across the country, whether it's listeners to your
program or the public Square eighteen fifty Main Street. We
are hearing this question with people just scratching their heads saying,
we've seen some weird stuff in the elections in America.
If you're old enough to remember, going back to nineteen

(20:37):
sixty forward, there have been some very unusual things that
people didn't expect. But this, without a doubt, is the
most preposterous. It's the one that people are just shaking
their heads saying, I don't get it anymore.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
Well, we know what the shadow campaign was in twenty twenty,
weaponized COVID change election laws and removed Donald Trump by
harvesting votes.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
YadA, YadA. Is the removal of Joe Biden.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
And Kamala Harris getting a nomination she couldn't probably earn
in a primary. Is that the shadow campaign of twenty
twenty four? Is there more shadows to come?

Speaker 10 (21:11):
Oh, that's a great question. And there are still some
more surprise possibilities for them. And of course, the shadow
campaign was actually crafted under the presumption that Trump would
have won in twenty twenty and what the violent resistance
was going to be in the country. That's still a possibility.
So I'm sure that the Center for American Progress and
the Podesta camp is working on that side of the

(21:34):
ledger as well. But right now. If you look through
the process of the vice presidency, this is predictably Obama,
predictably Camp Center for American Progress, predictably Podesta and Soros.
It's very hard to speculate, but Shapiro looks to be
one of those passed through moments to send another set

(21:56):
of messages. Kelly was the same. They're not going moderate
all would have been their choice. They're not going to
tick off the Arab elements, the pro Arab element in
the Democrat Party in particularly the state of Michigan. They're
going to probably pass on Shapiro and go to the unknown,
the Tim Kan type unknown, because you can fill that

(22:18):
space with anything you want. And all of this is
indicative that the Obama machine is merged now with the
Center for American Progress and they're taking over. Kamala Harris
is basically a paint by number candidate. She's just doing
what she's told.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
That begs the question, who's the real puppet master. You
and I have talked for years about Podesta and Soros,
that Podesta is the longest serving president, eight years of
Bill Clinton, eight years of Barack Obama, four years, Well,
I don't even know if it was with Joe Biden
now Kamala Harris. But you know, the more I watch

(22:55):
video and the more I go back to probably one
of the most stunning moments of this election year when
Barack Obama is at ten Downey and just pulls up
and walks in to visit with the Prime Minister and
then leaves, and you're like.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
What the heck was that?

Speaker 3 (23:11):
What's a former president doing at ten Downey in Great Britain.
Then I saw some other video footage of events at
the White House and Joe's just standing there like a
cognitively impaired patient in a nursing home, and Barack's orchestrating everything.
Is it Barack or is it Podesta or is it both?

(23:32):
I can't figure it out. Yeah, and you're starting to
put your finger on it.

Speaker 10 (23:36):
Yeah, they're having a wonderful time. They've got what they've
always wanted, which is complete control of the administrative branch,
and they're not about to let it go for anything.
And that's why they will do anything to keep it.
And the Republicans need to be aware of this. Barack
Obama spent four billion dollars in two elections. He won
the first one without even putting his name on the

(23:57):
yard side. He ran on hope and change, on the
inevitability that it was time for a black president. The
second campaign, he had four million fewer votes that he
did the first, and yet won more states and more
electoral College votes because behind all that was a four
billion dollar campaign of micro targeting and using online and
streaming services as levels no one had ever seen before.

(24:19):
They've got the band back together again, and they are
going to move in a direction in this campaign that
nobody's ever seen before. And that's not the thing to
people that they should be terrified or afraid. But what
we're saying is these people are as. They are deadly
serious about this. They are not going to give up control,
and they can use Kamala Harris however they want to

(24:40):
shape this campaign, and that's exactly what they're doing.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
In a sea of narrative noise. We need voices like this.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
David Zanaudi is the CEO of the American Policy Roundtable,
host of the Public Square on two hundred stations, and
he hosts eighteen fifty main Street. You'll find that at
eighteen to fifty main street dot com.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
All right.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Tim Waltz, twelve years in the House governor of Minnesota.
I would call all that a tertiary swing state, not
a primary swing state like Pennsylvania. But if you go
with Shapiro, you got real problems as this war bruise,
and you head to Chicago for the convention. So I
kind of get that. I would have gone with Mark Kelly.
Looking back, you're right, this is the Tim Kaine choice

(25:16):
nine and ten. Americans don't know enough about this guy
to even have an opinion. He is the great, he's
missed s la Faye, nobody knows his name.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
I get that.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
But when we look back at Hillary going with Tim Kane,
I think primarily it was an outsider election. We would
have had two outsiders, but the DNC got involved to
give it to Hillary over Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump
went from the I want to say, escalade, that's what
he's That's what he drives when he's president, Escalator all

(25:47):
the way to the presidency. So that was that outsider
referendum election impact. The other was a lot of people
didn't like Hillary Clinton, and it was a vote against
Hillary Clinton. Nobody acknowledges that would has she made a
better running mate choice? Could that have squeaked out the
difference for her, and can they get away with a
no name like Tim Waltz.

Speaker 10 (26:08):
That's a great question, Michael. Hillary Clinton, the entire election
fell apart for her the night she called were opponents
irredeemable deplorables. That's when the whole thing fell apart and
people suddenly realized how much they really didn't like her.
She actually starts. I think she started with more credibility
and popularity than Kamla Harris. So this is why it's

(26:29):
essentral right now for the band to get back together
to solidify their base, because their base is bigger now
than it was when Hillary was around. But that's still
not enough to get over the top. This is still
going to be a very very serious contest. Their biggest problem,
the Podesta's biggest problem in all of this is that
if Kamala Harris is out in front of an open microphone,

(26:52):
she has thrown most of the time to make a mistake.
That's their big problem. That's why your original conversation is
can be second time from the basement. Yeah, we can,
and they will because they have to.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
So all this talk of debate whether we split hairs
and say it's because I don't want to be on Fox,
and you don't want to be on ABC. Donald Trump
should overcome that and debate her anywhere he can get her,
because that's where she'll have bad moments. This whole persona
of either being goofy or giggly. She only really has
two gears, goofy and giggly and word salad and then nasty.

(27:26):
And so if you can get her in heated interviews
or in a heated debate, miss nasty will come out.
If you can get her at news conferences, miss word
salad and goofy will come out. These are things that
would keep them from being able to hide her. I
suspect they're not going to allow her to be exposed
to too much of any of it.

Speaker 10 (27:45):
Yeah, because the proposition of a debate, which I'm sure
we'll talk about Moses comes forward. But it's all psychological warfare.
This is all who's going to get in whose head.
They have got to get Donald Trump to look like
he's beating up on an innocent black woman, and that's
their approach. That's that's where they've got to get to.
And if they don't get to that, if he somehow

(28:06):
manages to turn the tables on her and expose the
fact that she doesn't have a foggiest idea what she's
talking about, or even worse, he exposes her for the
cover up of the Biden administration. It's over that this
the debate is a far greater risk for her than
for him.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Closing moments with David Zanati, all right, so if we're
not in a crisis like COVID, a crisis like nine
to eleven, if you know, you can get away with
these kind of you know, race and gender type games.
But when people are paying thirty percent more for groceries,

(28:41):
they're paying exorbitant amounts for energy. There's war in World War,
not proxy war brewing in the Middle East. Can you
really get away with this kind of nonsense and have
a narrativized emotional race versus factual.

Speaker 10 (28:57):
I think what happened in the markets couple of days
is a very good indicator. That's not a temper tantrum.
That's people saying, you know what, after being washed over
for the last two weeks with nothing but Virtuoso's for
Kamala Harrison and associated Press has got one today that
is absolutely absurd. I mean, you'd swear it was well,

(29:18):
I mean like it was she was being coordinated as
a queen. You know, people with people who have money
in the markets are saying, I'm cashing out now because
it's going to get a lot worse if she is
in fact going to become to president of the United States.
That is a very dangerous indicator. So and then you
take a look at the Middle East, Michael, and you
know you're all over that one as well. This is

(29:41):
becoming very serious. The funny thing about Podesta is is
his name in Italian means power. That's what his name
actually means. And that's where they've been in this country,
the dominant force in the twenty first century in regards
the American administry of state. But they still can't control everything,
and they can't control Israel, and they can't control the market.
So you know this is long from over.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Yeah, because what does narrative always die cause of death reality,
truth consequence? Those days how the rocky days ahead for
the left. David, always appreciate your insights. Thank you so
much and your thanks, Michael. I hope to talk to
you very very soon.

Speaker 8 (30:22):
I'm a Lando Bathers and Smyrna, Tennessee and my morning shows,
your Morning Show with Michael Dale Journal.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
Thanks for waking up with your morning show on the
air and streaming live on your iHeartRadio app if you're
just waking up. Several US personnel have been injured in
rocket attacks against the US military base and western Iraq.
Is this related depending attacks of Iran on Israel? Time
will tell voters and four states headed to the polls today.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
And all eyes are.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
On Vice President Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania where she will
unveil her running mate Roy O'Neil is joining us. Well, Rory,
we know they have it down to two, and the
two appear to be not Arizona's Mark Kelly, but Tim
Waltz of Minnesota, the governor, and Josh Shapiro, the governor
of Pennsylvania.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Are we sure, Michael?

Speaker 5 (31:17):
If you're talking to John Decker, he's more than happy
to respond to that question. Oh, however, will not be
answering your question.

Speaker 7 (31:25):
I had a mix.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Well, hey, never mind scratch that.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
My favorite is here, all right, So that's a whole
different conversation when it's you, all right, So you and
I we both went with Mark Kelly, just like I
went with Marco Rubio, and you went with Donald Trump
Junior in Rock Right, it looks like Mark Kelly is
out so much for that. Now do you go with
Josh Shapiro because you got a lot of protest brewing

(31:48):
for the convention, you got a war brewing in the
Middle East? Or do you go with the ultimate Tim
Kaman no name, Tim Waltz. Which do you think?

Speaker 5 (31:56):
Yeah, you know, I'm here in Philadelphia, and I think
they're a lot of disappointed Philadelphians if it's not Josh Shapiro.
Having said that, you also want to come out of
this event tonight and go into your convention with unity
in your party. And I think the only way you
have unity within your party is if you go with

(32:18):
the as you put it, the unknown governor from Minnesota,
Tim Walls. And so I'm putting my money now that
you and I are were wrong about what Kelly.

Speaker 4 (32:27):
It seems like.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
Now I'm going to put my money. Hear it over
to Tim Walls and see if I'm right there.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
I really do favor you because did you notice the
difference in my tone? And this is what a bad
head could sell. Excited to get with him? You know what?

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Before this is over, you're going to teach me how
to play tennis. I just want to get in my
shorts with my white legs and play tennis with you.
All right, Well, let's talk. Let's talk about Tim Walls,
all right. So this is twelve year member of the House.
He is the governor of Minnesota. I would call Minnesota
a tertiary swing state, not a primer. There is no
path without pencil. But we discussed what makes that problematic.

(33:02):
You can't go with Michigan because it's two women. Arizona
on the west coast will be a good either way.
It's a map play, but with Minnesota, it's the least
of the map. I don't know how much unity you
get from an unknown, but you at least avoid the division.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
That's kind of what we're laying out.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
That's what we're laying out. Tin Walls twenty four years
in the Army National Guard. That's also what he brings
to the table. He's got that experience in the US Congress.
That's also something that jos Shapiro cannot bring to the table.
He's got all of the state government experience. And I
think that you know, for the reasons that we discussed

(33:39):
that you and I appear to be on the same
page on you don't want to have an intra party fight.
You don't want to have that after you've been able
to unite the party, it seems after Joe Biden dropped
out of the race.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
So let me ask John Decker, White House correspondent joining us,
who's in Pennsylvania today. I mean, that is tricky to
make your first stop Pennsylvania and then not make Shapiro
your choice.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
That's a little problematic.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
But in the case of this, you have a governor,
so you know that's that's a normal, traditional path to
the presidency or being a heartbeat away from the presidency.
Minnesota kind of addresses independent voters. It's a very independent state.
Is this a block on the map or a block
on RFK Junior or both?

Speaker 4 (34:30):
If that's well, I don't think that.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
Yeah, I don't think that the Vice president is paying
that much of attention to a third party candidate. Her
focus is Donald Trump and it should be that's who
the race is. That's who will win electoral college votes.
Robert F. Kennedy won't win any.

Speaker 10 (34:47):
Electoral college votes even though he's still in the.

Speaker 5 (34:49):
Race, and so for her, I think it's also a
comfort level. I can't say who she has that comfort
level with, but that's something that the vice president needs
to factor in there. She is a vice president, so
she knows what she likes what she doesn't like about
the job, and she also has to factor that into
the equation when she's thinking about who she's going to
choose as her running.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
Mate or my last inkling of a defense of picking
Waltz would be to address the JD vance influence in
the Rustbelt.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
This would be a rustbelt governor's we're all in this together.
