Speaker 2 (00:01):
You need to know.
Speaker 3 (00:02):
Well, Happy Halloween friends, six o'clock on this Thursday morning.
Thank you so much for starting with us. Ricky Sanchez
is out again today. It's just Kevin Mano and here

Speaker 1 (00:12):

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Happy Halloween, buddy, Oh, Happy Halloween. The Nashville Sounds just
released their twenty twenty five schedule, all one hundred and
fifty games. It's gonna be their forty seventh season and
it all gets started March twenty eighth. Once again. All
Tuesday through Saturday home games will start at six thirty five,
while their Sunday games will either start at two oh
five or six oh five. We love the Sounds very
(00:35):
much around here. I love taking my kids out there.
And this morning show we threw out the first pitch
of a Sounds game last season.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
We sure did, Zach.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Can you remind us how that went well?
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Kevin did unfortunately, a very good job.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Thanks perfect strike. Hey, you guys want to hear Travis
Kelsey sing?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Of course you do.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Every year. Jason Kelsey puts out a Christmas album and
he just shared a little sample of a brand new
song he did with his brother Travis and I don't
know if Travis has been like getting some you know,
vocal lessons with his girlfriend Taylor Swift out there. But
it's truly not bad. Like it's better than you would imagine.
This first voice you're gonna hear this is Travis. Jason
will come in later with the chorus.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
But here we go, wander in the streets of my hometown.
Must have been years since I've been home.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
See it's not terrible. Kind of sounds like John Legend here.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
See that's Jaysy go. It could be that bad, you know,
but he's better.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Travis is better than I don't know how bad it
could be.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
The song is called It's Christmas in Cleveland, I says.
He was saying the album's coming out next month and
all proceeds will go to charity. And lastly, in Halloween news,
more appropriate for the day than the Christmas story, we
just diaid. This one is for the people that enjoy
scary movies and the stock market today Halloween art clown
from those terrifier movies is gonna ring the Nazdak closing bell.
(02:05):
The big bloody clown is gonna be out there rich
in the bat of creepy one o.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Seven five the River, Ricky Zach and minow in the morning.

Speaker 1 (02:22):

Speaker 3 (02:24):

be a creepy day around here. Okay, we're gonna drop
something special in that little buckety years right now. If
you're the first caller six one five, seven, three seven, nine,
one oh seven, Kelsey's gonna be a bridgetone in January
and you're there one oh seven five the River, Ricky
Zack and minow.
Speaker 2 (02:42):

Speaker 5 (02:45):
I'm called every morning.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Oh great, you finally got through. It's one o seven

You sound a little bit nervous right now.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
I am.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Today is your day off. What do you do for
a living?
Speaker 6 (03:13):
I'm a nurse.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Oh, we love our nurses.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Thanks for doing that, Jennifer. Do you want me to
rip the band aid off?
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:20):
There was a great puns actually a nurse.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
Well, you've won.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
You're the first caller of the day, so you're going
to see Kelsey Ballerini a Bridgetone arena in January.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 6 (03:29):
Thank you guys.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
You are so welcome January thirty first, What a show
that's gonna be. Congratulations. What are your Halloween plans? You

Speaker 1 (03:37):
What are you doing? My niece and nephew are coming
over to go trigger trading in my neighborhood. Do you
have a costume?
Speaker 5 (03:43):
No, I'm not dressing up, Jennifer.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
You're gonna let your nime nephew down like that.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
I know you can go as the lady that carries
umbrellas because you guys are gonna need them.
Speaker 6 (03:55):
Don't dress up as a nurse.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
No, perfect, Yeah, got the outfit.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Well.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Hey, thank you so much for waking up with us,
setting your alarm to wake up today. Congratulations on winning
these tickets.
Speaker 6 (04:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
I have a great Halloween. Jennifer hang out. Okay, okay,
more tomorrow, same time, last chance of the week to
get them, same time tomorrow, right here on the river. Hey,
we know you've got options.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
I mean most of them don't like live in Nashville,
but still, yeah, you got options, so thank you for
choosing us.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning on the River.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Zach, have you noticed something off about me today? My
Halloween started terribly.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
I mean the fact that you're wearing a really interesting
Halloween shirt, that's about it is interesting a compliment. I
love that shirt. It is interesting. No, I'm in pain
right now, oh, mentally.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Or physically physically. So give me a minute, give me
six minutes. I will explain what's wrong with me. But
it's not good.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning on the River.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
No.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Seven five the River. Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning.
Ricky's out today, She's taken a couple of days. Happy
Halloween friends, Kevin and Zach hanging with you and I
mentioned a moment ago my day my Halloween started.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
A little rough.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
But Kevin, you said you're in pain and you look fine.
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
So I'm hiding it away?
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Are you being dramatic? Probably? Okay.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
I got so much soap in my eye in the
shower this morning, Kevin.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
It is killing me.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Like, what's why I was running late to leave my
house and get here this morning?
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Like shampoo face, choap face, soap? What kind of soap?
It's just a bar of soap.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
I was. It was a new bar, and I was
lathering it up, and I just in real time I
saw this big glob just coming straight from me.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
There's nothing I could do about it. In my eye.
I was down for the count. Man.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
I tried to put my context in burning like you
wouldn't believe. I took that contact out. I let it
sit for a while, try to it's just a disaster.
I had to get a new pair out. Still really
struggling over here.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
You're doing such a good job at hiding it because
I would have never guessed. I like, after you said
that you were in pain. I got up and looked
at Kevin to make sure he wasn't wearing like a
boot or something like I thought he twisted his ankle
or like something insane. But poor Kevin gets soap in
his eye and it's the end. Of the world.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
If anybody has any tips or tricks to, you know,
help relieve this uncomfortable feeling. My God and I will
accept any thoughts and prayers that you're willing to send
in bad I cannot because this was a rough start
to one of my favorite days of the year.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
It's your favorite dy of the year. What are you
doing for Halloween?
Speaker 3 (06:17):
We're going trick or treating with the kids. I mean,
I wish I could stay home and pass out candy
to the kids, but my kids are eight and six,
so you know this is prime trick or treating age.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
What are their costumes.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
We're doing a Harry Potter theme this year. Cew Well,
we were Harry Potter, but then my son also fell
in love with this banana costume. So now he's half
Harry Potter, half banana. He's a hairy bananas as he says. Uh,
So that's what we're doing. We'll be out tonight, hopefully
trick or treating early before the rain comes.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Today.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
We're supposed to get more rain than we've seen it
over a month.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
That's terrible timing, so awful timing.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
If you are trick or treating, try to get out
there and do it a little bit earlier because hopefully
the rain comes a bit later. And Zach, we discussed
this yesterday. You have no plans today.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
I'm sitting on the couch and watching like maybe a
Halloween movie and ordering Thai food. That is my goal.
And I'm going to turn off all of my lights
and hide from everyone and act like I'm not home.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
I told you yesterday I might get you some candy
that you could pass out.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
No, you did not say might.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
You said you would, And I went and I bought
candy for the Mano family, for our family. But man,
it's expensive, so I didn't get you anyhow.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Really interesting, Kevin. I'm looking around the studio. I don't
see any candy that you brought me, even though you promised.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Well, Happy Halloween, buddy, Happy Halloween.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Three days you need to know.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Okay, just after seven o'clock on this Thursday morning, Happy Halloween.
No Ricky Sanchez. Today, it's Kevin man O and Zach
hanging with you. Thank you for starting your day with us.
I'll be do have those justin Timberlake tickets coming up.
It's seven forty five. Don't forget about those. But first
three things you need to know here. In Tennessee, today
is the last day of early voting. According to the
Secretary of State, more than one point six to seven
(07:47):
million voters have cast their ballot in person. Voting in
Tennessee has been higher than it was at this point
in twenty twenty. That was peak pandemic, though so not
many people voting in person today. In Davidson County, the
polls will be open from eight am to seven p
Williamson County, it looks like it's eight am to six thirty.
Nashville dot gov is a great resource for finding out
where and when to go Nashville dot gov. If you
(08:08):
haven't yet tried to get out there today, save yourself
the hassle of doing it Tuesday, which is actually election Day.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
So this will all be over soon.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
After fifty four years, the Grammys are going to be
leaving CBS. This news came out yesterday. Fifty four years.
That's a long time. They're gonna head to Disney. This
is not immedia though. The next two ceremonies twenty twenty
five and twenty twenty six, we'll still be on CBS.
But after that you'll be able to watch the Grammys
on ABC, Hulu, and Disney Plus. So in twenty twenty seven,
ABC is going to start the year with the Super Bowl,
(08:37):
the Grammys, and the Oscars.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
That's big.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
And lastly, in Halloween news appropriate today today will be
the first time since nineteen thirty eight that kids in
Des Moines, Iowa will trick or treat on Halloween.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Wait, why has it been so long?
Speaker 3 (08:51):
They never do it on Halloween. All those years ago,
the city decided they would do something called Beggars Night
instead of regular trick or treating on Halloween, So this
would always take place the day before Halloween, and instead
of saying trick or treat, the kids would knock on
the door and tell a joke supposed to be like lighthearted,
a little less evil than Halloween.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
I kind of like that.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
So that was supposed to be last night, but they
got a ton of rain. Yes, so there's a lot
of rain in the forecast, so they preemptively delayed it,
and now trick or treating will actually happen in Des Moines,
Iowa for the first time since nineteen thirty eight on Halloween.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
That's crazy. That's like almost ninety years that it's never
happened on actual Halloween.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
I'm sure there's some folks out there listening that grew
up in Des Moines six one five, seven, three seven
nine one oh seven if you want to share your
experience with us.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
I've never heard of this Beggar's Night.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Before, but let us know if you grew up with that. Hey,
right after Benson Boone, Zach's fax. He's got some good
stuff on this Halloween morning, Halloween related.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
You're gonna love it.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
We'll get it next.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
That's a Boone five the river. It's time for Zack's Fax.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Okay, So I love playing this game, Kevin, I have
a for you. Yes, how many seeds do you think
are inside of a pumpkin?
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (10:04):
I just carved a couple pumpkins, scooped them all loud.
I mean maybe three hundred.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
There are apparently approximately five hundred seeds inside of a pumpkin,
which is great if you love to make like the
roasted pumpkin seeds. There's so many so you can eat
them literally all year round.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
We roasted two pumpkins worth. We definitely did not have
a thousand seeds.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Well, looks like you got to rip off on your pumpkins.
That's your fact of the day.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning, on the.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Rim of seven five the River, Ricky, Zach and Mano
in the morning, Happy Halloween. We want to try something here.
We want kids to call six one, five, seven, three seven,
nine one oh seven.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
We want you to practice trick or treating. Okay, Kevin,
go ahead and give us a prime example.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Okay, I'm gonna play both sides of this, Okay, Okay,
so I can kind of get this out of my
head and let everyone know what I'm thinking. Knock, knock, Hello,
trick or treat? Oh you look so right? What are
you dressed as a lion?
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Here's some candy that was really good. What's your name, Jimmy?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Keep going. I just saw the whole screenplay Happen live action.
That was really good.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Before you go door to door tonight, we want you
to practice here on the air. Tell us what you're
what you're gonna dress as six one five, seven, three seven,
nine one o seven. Again, kids, we're practicing trick or
treating before the big night. Here's espresso on the river.
Speaker 2 (11:26):

Speaker 3 (11:50):

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Okay, what's the character? Is it? Who is it?
Speaker 6 (12:17):
Ah?
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (12:18):
My favorite?
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Well Keegan. I hope you have a very happy Halloween
and you get all of the candy that you want
and share all of the recy peanut butter cups with
your parents. Thank you, have a good one. Thanks for

the Isaac. Good morning friend he Congratulations to the Los
Angeles Dodgers and to Nashville Zone Mookie Bets We love him.
Last night was Game five in the World Series in
New York, and while the Yankees got off to a
strong start, they were up to five to nothing at
(18:28):
one point. The Dodgers came back they wonted seven to six.
They are now the twenty twenty four World Series Champions,
their eighth World Series title. Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers
was named World Series MVP, and an update on those
two guys that tried to rip the ball out of
the glove of our friend Mookie Bets in Game four.
They were not allowed in the ballpark last night. They
were banned from Game five after interfering the night before.
(18:51):
Metro Nashville Police Department just launched a website dedicated to
cold cases. This is great. There are around five hundred
and sixty unsalved homicide cases dating back to the ninth
teen sixties in Nashville and the department is hoping to
bring some closure and some justice to some of the
affected families. The website is encouraging anyone with information to
come forward. There will be photographs and a central case
(19:12):
information up there. There's a whole lot of armchair detectives
out there that can be very effective, so opening this
information up to a lot more eyeballs is a good
thing in my opinion. Nashville Coldcase DOTV. That's the website. Lastly, look,
I know it's Halloween, but Hallmark is already thinking about Christmas. Obviously,
that's what they do. I know a lot of people
are really into those holiday movies on Hallmark every year,
(19:34):
like Zaki Smiling.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Your ear to ear right now. I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
It lives for him and today on Hallmark Plus it
is the premiere of their new show Finding Mister Christmas.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
It's out. I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
Why does this premiere on Halloween? I don't know. They
could have probably waited a day, but regardless, it's out.
If you don't know, The show will feature ten men
competing in a series of festive challenges to showcase their
acting skills and their holiday spirit. Their compete eating to
be Hallmark's next leading Man, competing for a role in
a movie that premier today. Happy Halloween.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
This makes me so happy. You have no idea, Kevin,
You're gonna be.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
Watching for sure.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the Morning on.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Ricky, Zach and Mano in the Morning and one oh
seven five the River, Happy Halloween.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
We want to hear about your.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Go to low budget costumes you wore every year when
you were a kid six one, five, seven, three seven, nine,
one oh seven.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Mine was always that I wore like a tigger costume.
It was like a onesie that you could just like
throw on last minute.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
And how many years in a row do you think
you uh at least ten was this new for you
or a hand me down?
Speaker 1 (20:40):
It was a hand me down for my mom, Like
my mom wore it all the time. Yeah, and then
I wore it all the time because it was just there,
like a last minute thing.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Even better, everybody had something that they wore more than once,
and we want to hear about it. Six one, five, seven,
three seven, nine, one oh seven. Let us know at
costume you wore over and over again when you were
a kid.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in Morning.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Taylor on the River.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
We want to hear about that costume you wore every
year as a kid. Everyone's got one AJ in Columbia.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
What was it for you?
Speaker 6 (21:11):
Yep? I was Doro over and over and over again.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Oh, that was my favorite game on the like the
N sixty four.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Oh I never played the Zuro game.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
What. Yeah, I didn't know that they had a Game
Boy get together. I know.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
No, Wow, AJ, what do you what are you wearing
this year?
Speaker 6 (21:30):
My wife is six foot tall and I'm five foot five,
and so it may not be at the kid, but
I do constantly pull out a Lord barquad outfit pretty
much every year.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
That's so good. And then she is Oh man, the
name is escaping me. Hold on, don't say it tricks.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Oh that's good. It is good.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
And so you don't you don't have any I mean,
not that you should, but no shame in the game
exploiting that height difference.
Speaker 6 (21:54):
Absolutely not. I think it's hilarious.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Good for you.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
I love that costume. I'm proud of her age.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
A happy Halloween, buddy, have fun tonight as lord.
Speaker 6 (22:03):
Yes there.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Zach mentioned a minute ago he was Tigger every year
when he was a kid.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Every single year. It was like a onesie, Kevin, do
you have one?
Speaker 3 (22:11):
I don't even want to say it. You have to
now at the risk of getting canceled. It just seems
so insensitive now in the looking at it through the
lens of twenty twenty four. Okay, but every single picture
of my brother and I on Halloween when we were little,
one of us or this exact same quote unquote bum
costume like a like a hobo, like from a comic
(22:32):
strip or something, you know what I mean. Again, not
the most sensitive thing to do these days.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
But I will say, if you need time advice for
this year, a cat is always very easy. Just we're
all black and buy some cat ear, sure, like, paint
your little nose black and it'll be great.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
Easy, lazy you, I mean two sides of these, lazy
and cheap six seven three seven nineven. If you had
that go to costume every year, we.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
Want to hear in the morning.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Yeah, we're all running on like four hours of sleep.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
Also on one s we're talking about those low budget
go to Halloween costumes you wore every year when you
were a kid. It's one O seven five the River, Amanda,
What was it for you?
Speaker 6 (23:12):
I'm the eighties kids.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
So strawberry shortcake, Amanda, the strawberry Shortcake. That's so cute.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
Do you think kids today like costumes are like a
bigger deal than they were back when we were growing
up because I wore the same thing every year and
I didn't think twice about it.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I think so because my kids all do something.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Different every year. Same same with us. Yeah, different costume
every year.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Also, I wanted to.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
Say thank you, Handsome was fantastic last night.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Oh you won the hands and tickets from much and
you went last night. Love that I did, And.
Speaker 6 (23:40):
I had a fantastic time. And my adult self kept
cool and didn't stand girl as much.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
As I wanted to. Yeah, because you got to meet
them too, Huh I did.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
They actually signed the back of my cell phone case.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Well, that's precious.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
That's awesome. I'm so glad you had that experience. Then
that's that's great. Those tickets went to the right person.
They did well. Thanks for calling. Happy to get that review.
We hope it's a great Halloween for you.
Speaker 2 (24:05):

Speaker 1 (24:16):
This is a Kevin Mano special in dress for Halloween.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Yeah, we've honestly we've played several from these folks over
it there I ruined it. It's an Instagram TikTok page.
They're so good. They make a bunch of mash ups
and stuff. And this one here in Nashville Halloween Day,
we had to play. It's a mating Taylor Swift and uh,

it off.
Speaker 1 (24:38):

always find the daily double Tap there.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Maybe I picked it because it combines my two kids
two favorite things, my daughter Taylor Swift and my son
Nightmre before Christmas.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Honestly, they did such a good job with it, Like
now it's stuck in my head.

Shake shake check it.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
