Sabrina Carpenter has joined Chapel Roone's initiative in donating to
better healthcare for fellow artists. She donated twenty five thousand dollars,
which is amazing.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
She now joins Noah Khan and Charlie XCX in this.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Chapel started this entire initiative after she made her Grammy
speech where she had noticed that or not noticed, she
brought to the attention that artists don't have great healthcare
and she wants artists to have better healthcare, especially the
up and coming artists. And she believes that, you know,
there should be repercussions for actions when they don't have that.
So she started by donating twenty five thousand dollars after
(00:45):
a man had called her out in an article saying
put your money where your mouth is. And now a
lot of her friends are doing the same thing, which
I think is really great. So Sabrina is the latest
to add to the list.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Of people who have donated to this initiative.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Papa John's has bath bombs, so you can bathe in
their garlic sauce. Here's a catch, though, they're not selling them.

get it. They're looking for a quote select super fans
who quote share their love.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
For the dipping sauce on social media. So you gotta
go online.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
You got to show them how much you love their
garlic sauce, and you may be chosen to get their
garlic bath bombs.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
And you know, just in case you were wondering, just
in case right.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Now when somebody said, like, oh my god, bath bomb
garlic sauce. How much would it cost if I were
to fill my entire tub with garlic sauce from Papa John's.
It would cost you four hundred and seventy five dollars.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
Well, thanks, because I think about that all the time.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I knew you would.
Speaker 6 (01:39):
I knew you would.
Speaker 4 (01:41):

entire week.
Speaker 4 (02:54):

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Now.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I don't know how many times I had to remind
people to wash their hands.
Speaker 8 (03:01):
Yeah, yeah, it's a problem.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Even in our office.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
I've noticed that more and more people Like, if I'm
going to the bathroom and someone's in the stall next.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
To me, they won't go wash their hands.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
Call them out. Who is it?
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I don't know who it is. I'm in the stall,
I don't know who it is.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
But every time I go to the bathroom, I realize
this and I'm just like, people are gross.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
They are it's an epidemic.

one O seven five of the River.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
You're gonna get tickets to go see Kids Bop at
First Bank Amphithey the June twenty ninth.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
This is like a huge ticket, and I did not
realize how big it was because I don't have kids.
But everybody that I know who has kids, apparently this
is like all they want.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, that is so sweet.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Well that's gonna be so precious. Hang on the line
for me so we can grab some more information from you.

Okay, Okay, perfect.
Speaker 7 (03:52):
Thanks for being a part of our morning Ricky.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Zach and Menno in the morning.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
We have a proposition here.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
We have an idea. Zach and I came up with
this yesterday.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
We're risking our jobs for this idea, but I feel
like it might be one of the best ideas that
we have ever come up with.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
I also feel like we're not really risking our jobs.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
Sorry, I'm glad you feel so confident.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
In exact, more worried than I am about this.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
I just you know, we're renaming things left and right
here in the United States of America and like and
beyond and beyond just kind of like doing whatever we want.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
So I just figured the Cumberland River.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Doesn't really sound that interesting, right, Like when you hear
Cumberland River.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
Yeah, it's not really neat to right, Like, it.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Doesn't spark joy, doesn't spark light in your life? Right, Okay, Maricondo,
But but hear me out, what about the one.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
O seven five the River River?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
I like the double River one on seven five, the
River River downtown Nashville that goes all the way through Tennessee. Like,
I think this is such a brilliant idea. That we
renamed the Cumberland River. So one oh seven five the
River River.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Like what other river has river twice in the name,
No other river ever does that.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
This river has rivered so hard that it deserves the.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Most river that a river has ever river, and I.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Think that that makes it better than all the other ones.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
I honestly want to start like a change dot org
petition to make this happen and change the name of
the river.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
Do it, like, just just sit there right now, Okay,
just focus for like three seconds, right, close your eyes.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Focus well, drive you.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Don't close your eyes, but focus really quick on just
like I say, Cumberland River.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
What do you think of?
Speaker 5 (05:35):
Nothing? My mind goes blank, mind goes blank.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Okay, now do it again, Okay, one oh seven five
the River River.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
I immediately think of Ricky Zack and Manno in the Morning.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
And like great music. Yeah, why I just it makes
sense And.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
We're so Nashville, Like we're one of the only local
live morning radio shows in the city, so I feel
like we should rename it.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
I'm sending this to whoever needs to be sent to
agree to this.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Does anybody have like a contact from Mayor Freddie O'Connell.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Freddie O'Connell, if you're listening right now, we have a proposition.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
We do, and honestly, I just want to see if
you guys are on board with this. So Texas, right
now the phone number six four eight nine five. Put
the word river at the very beginning of the text.
Tell us your name and where you're texting from. And
do you think that we could and should change the
name of the Cumberland River to one of seven five
the river River?
Speaker 3 (06:26):
It just makes me happy every time we say it.
I can't stop smiling. I can't stop smiling. And I
don't see why we couldn't do it.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
I don't either. I have an idea.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
What if we also like put it up on our
Instagram poll because we can like change the name of
it in a in like a graphic or something.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Oh yeah, let's see if it sparks joy when you
see it too on them Yeah. I already know it
sparks joy when you hear it. Well, let's see if
it sparks joy when you see it on a map too.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Okay, perfect, So yeah, follow us on Instagram. It's at
one of seven five the River. We're gonna post it
on our Instagram stories.

Metro National Public Schools Board of Education has unanimously approved
weapons detectors in all high schools before they voted. Metro
National Schools superintendent spent an hour breaking down the weapons
detentions detection system, which a pilot program began at Antioch
High School after the recent shooting that led to the
passing of a student. The detectors would go into all
(07:41):
eighteen Metro high schools and use artificial intelligence to find
weapons even if they aren't metal. It'll cost one point
twenty five million annually for the new systems and require
staff training to keep schools moving smoothly.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
The district said detectors.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Will be in each high school in a few weeks
or a few months. Depending on how fast the company
that they're leasing from them works. Backstreet Boys, they have
announced that they're doing a nine day residency at the
Sphere in Las Vegas, and I need to go.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
I want to go so bad.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
They're doing a summer residency that starts July eleventh. It's
going to run through July twenty seventh, which is perfect
because my birthday is July twenty third.

possibly can locally, because obviously we want to keep all
of these things around for as long as humanly possible,
and that involves us going there, spending money and experiencing it.
Speaker 7 (09:44):
Thanks for being a part of our morning.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning on the River.

the River.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Okay, So not only is tomorrow Valentine's Day, A very
important invention was the cleared on Valentine's Day.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
Do you have any idea of what this invention was?
Speaker 3 (10:04):
I really couldn't even guess.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
It was the telephone.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Alexander Grahm Bell invented the telephone and then applied for
a patent on February fourteenth, eighteen seventy six. Oh do
you think it was so that he could like call
his loved one.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
I'm just thinking that.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
That's why I was saying, Oh, I wonder if there's
something connected there.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
I don't know, but it's so cute.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
So tomorrow's also the day the telephone was filed for
the patent, And that is your.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
Fact of the day, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 7 (10:29):
Zach, thanks for being a part of our morning.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Ricky, Zach and Menno. In the morning on the River.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
We've been talking about all the positive things about Valentine's Day,
where to go locally to take your loved one, where
you can buy gifts, all that good stuff.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
But what about the opposite end of that? We were thinking,
how can you scare someone away? Before Valentine's Day Sephanie
and Ashland City.
Speaker 5 (10:52):
Good morning and welcome into one oh seven five the River.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
What is your idea on how to scare someone off
before Valentine's Day?
Speaker 8 (10:58):
Well, this is kind of the opposite of what I did.
I got married on Valentine's Day, so they could proposed
that will scare him away real quick.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
Oh oh, that is a good idea of you propose
that will freak them out.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Oh yeah, I mean especially if you're like only three
dates in then you proposed like that day before.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Exactly.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
This is devius. I like it.
Speaker 8 (11:22):
Stephanie, y'all have a wonderful day.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
You do, Stephanie bite.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
And We've got a couple more from a list that
we found on ways to scare them off?
Speaker 5 (11:29):
And I think I love this one the most.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Okay, what is it?
Speaker 5 (11:32):
Talk about baby names?
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Oh? I think our baby would be such a cute Jalen.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Yeah, Like, oh my gosh, think about when we have
baby Brandon. Like just I think the over the idea
of over commitment prior to VALENTINE'SDA is really what's going
to scare them away.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
Also, this list does say at number eleven it was
go too big for Valentine's day. So if you start
talking to your significant other or the person that you're
dating right now.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
I guess maybe not your significant other.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
If you start talking to the person you're dating right
now and saying all these elaborate, insane plans for the
weekend for Valentine's Day, that will scare the hell out
of them.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
We're going on a helicopter ride and we're gonna repel
down into a bed of roses.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
That is still even if my fiance said that to
me makes me want.
Speaker 7 (12:15):
To borrow right, it's way much Thanks for being a
part of our morning.
Speaker 1 (12:20):

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Be honest.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Yeah, be honest.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
No use forcing something.
Speaker 8 (12:38):
It's like a volcano building up pressure and pressure until
let's ex closed, So nip it in the butt.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Marcus doesn't want to play no games. He's like, just
be honest with me.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
And tell me straight up from the from the jump.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
No time, Okay, Maka I have a serious question for you, though.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Today is like literally the day before Valentine's Say, do
you think it's too late to break up with someone
like because then you hold that grudge against them forever,
Like remember that time I got broken up with before
Valentine's Day?
Speaker 8 (13:03):
Yes, what, Zach, Tomorrow's not promised?
Speaker 4 (13:06):
Oh yes, he hates you with the truth right there.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
He's like, I'm gonna get real deep, real fast.
Speaker 8 (13:12):
Marrow's not promised. You've got to do what you have
to do to keep yourself happy.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Your voice is so soothing. I feel like I want
to talk to you all day long.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
You should do an audiobook, Marcus.

Okay, if you're out there listening, give them a call
and get in contact with me.

Lone voices in the background.

My daughter.
Speaker 8 (14:45):
We are still a fan.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
We love our girl.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
I love that. Do you want to shout out your
kids in the car?
Speaker 5 (14:50):
Yeah, you guys want to say hi, Ah, they're so cute.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Hi guys.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Well, Meghan, you got too three correct. We didn't even

Good morning, good morning. Thank you so much for starting
your day with us. It's a little bit after eight
o'clock and right now Ricky Sanchez has us three things
you need to know.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show was the most watched
ever in US TV history.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
There were a total of.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
One hundred and thirty three point five million live viewers,
which is slightly above the initial projection of one hundred
and thirty one point two million, and it surpasses the
viewership from the Super Bowl halftime show when Michael Jackson
did it in nineteen ninety three. Yeah, it's also higher
than the amount of viewers for the game, which Fox
reported was one hundred and twenty six million, so more
(15:58):
people tuned in for.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
The half time show than the actual game.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
Also, just a quick fact for you, forty five of
the top one hundred most watched programs in twenty twenty
four were NFL games, which is also pretty wild, just
the effect that the NFL has on viewership and lot
It's partially.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
The tailor swetter fact. Yeah, that's facts. The Lumineers are
coming back to Nashville.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
They released their new album Automatic this Friday, and the
band announced that they're going to make a stop at
Bridgetone Arena for the fall. They'll be here Friday, October
third with special guest Chance Penya. The tickets go on
sale next Friday, February twenty first, so mark your calendar
if you want to go.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
I'm sure these are going to sell out pretty fast.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
I saw them a few years ago and they sold
out so fast the ticket.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Such a good show, great show, great show. Highly suggest
you go.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
And flu cases they are at a fifteen year high
across the country right now. There's currently a rabbit spread
of a very dangerous new strain as well. So the
CDC estimates that there have been twenty four million flu
case this season. We're only halfway through February, so there's
gonna be more. Some of them have even led to
hospitalizations and later deaths, So please just wash your hands.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
It's so important to wash your hands.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
Try not to touch your face or your mouth, or
your ears, or your nose or your eyes as well.
We don't want to be spreading the flu even more
than we already have.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Obviously.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
We want everybody to stay safe and healthy and everything
will be good.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
And drink your vitamin C and lots of water, Save
high greatest.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Please please, I've noticed a lot of people in this
office don't even wash their hands, so please just wash
your hands.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
I'm Rick Sanchez and those are the three things you
need to know.
Speaker 7 (17:38):
Thanks for being a part of our morning, Ricky.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Zach and Menno in the morning.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Zach saw this bumper sticker the other day that said
I love my wife, and it really just caught his attention.
It set him down a spiral of just thoughts.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
I immediately thought he did something bad. But Kim and.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Murphy's Borough, welcome to one of seven and five of
the River. What is the last bumper sticker that caught
your attention?
Speaker 8 (17:58):

Speaker 7 (18:00):
I was on the road.
Speaker 8 (18:00):
We were in a red light and I looked over
and it said I would rather be watching than nineteen
Guinnyine movie The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and whoever the
woman addresses that is.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Such a long bumper.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah, what kind of car do they drive? Like a
Toyota Siena. It's got to be like the whole side
of the minivan.
Speaker 8 (18:20):
No, it was a smaller bumper sticker. It took up
the last like top side, and that's why it caught
my eye. Like what does it say? And I'm like,
are they a big Mummy fan? A Brandan Fraser fan?
I don't know, but I just thought it was really
random and I wanted to share.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
Thank you for sharing, Kim.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
We appreciate you have a beautiful day, and thanks for
hanging out with us this morning.
Speaker 8 (18:42):
Hey, thank you.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Rhonda and Nashville.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
Tell us the last bumper sticker that really caught your attention. Well,
there's actually two of them.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
The first one is when I was I was behind the.
Speaker 8 (18:52):
Person the other day and it said screaming.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Internally, I feel that on a spiritual level, very relatable.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Yeah wow.
Speaker 8 (19:01):
And then the other one I've sent it.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
So propriate, And the other one is they were driving in.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
A minivan and it says I used to be cool.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
That's cute.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
That is really sweet, because I feel like a lot
of people whenever they become parents, they get the minivan,
they're like, oh great, now I have the mom car
r exactly.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Those are great.
Speaker 6 (19:21):
Both of those just cracked me up.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Thank you for calling in love. We appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Okay, bye bye, bye bye all.
Speaker 1 (19:29):

of students surprised their teacher by singing one of their

Yeah, so the teacher's in a band, and the whole
class learned the song.
Speaker 5 (19:50):

Here's your daily double tap today.
Speaker 8 (19:54):
I have the bathroom and I followed us.

another one of your songs.

Speaker 6 (20:10):
It's so sweet.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
The entire class learned the whole song that their teacher
sings in the band that he's in.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
It's just so sweet.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
It's absolutely adorable.
