Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Good morning. Here we go starting things up on this
Monday real quick. I just want to give a shout out.
I had to take an uber into work today and Chino,
my driver, had the river on.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Hi Chino, Hi Chino, Thanks.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
For the ride, buddy, appreciate it. Ricky San says is
right here and she's got those three things.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
That made me feel a little bit better.
Speaker 5 (00:17):
I walked in and I dropped my breakfast on the ground,
so I'm not having a great.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
Start sp my day.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
You can only go up from here.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Chino made me happy. That's that's exciting.
Speaker 5 (00:24):
I love that Tennessee has a bunch of new laws
that will go into effect tomorrow. Here are a few
of them that you should keep in mind. Tennessee citizens
can now take their boating safety exam online. Previously you
would have to go take the exam in person under
the supervision of a proctor. There's also a new law
enforcing a new law for law enforcement. Sorry, that's a
(00:49):
ton of twister that requires them to accept a digital
copy of vehicle registration as a valid proof of insurance,
which is awesome. And the victims of AI deep fakes
will now have the ability to take legal action here
in Tennessee. It'll be a Class E felony offense to quote,
disclose or threaten to disclose intimate digital depictions with the
(01:12):
intent to harass, annoy, alarm, or cause substantial harm in
the finances or reputation of.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
The depicted individual.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
So this is a huge win for anybody that's ever
experienced deep fakes. That seems to be a huge thing
online lately, so this is their way of combating that.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
So those are just a few.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
There are a bunch more. You should keep up to
date with all of them. I don't have enough time
to go through every single one of them, but those
are three that I felt like, you know, you should
really know right now. Brad Pitt's f one. The movie
was number one in the box office this weekend. The
movie debuted with fifty five point six million dollars, taking
in one hundred and forty four million globally, which gave
Brad Pitt his best global opening ever.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
So clearly they're doing pretty.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Well with that one. I keep seeing so many ads
for it. We've talked about it. I haven't seen it yet.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Last night you saw it was good like he it was.
It was good. It was top gun and cars. It
was great.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Okay, I mean that kind of sells me on it.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Uh huh.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
And according to a sleep doctor, this is the optimal
time of day to nap. If you're already thinking about
a nap like I am, the best time for you
to nap is between noon and two pm, right when
your Sahitian rhythm naturally dips. You only want to take
a quick fifteen to twenty minute power nap.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
You don't want to do anything else.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
Fifteen to twenty minutes is all you need to boost
your mood, alertness, and focus without messing up your nighttime
sleep regimen. I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three
things you.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Need to know.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Ricky, thank you so much. Thank you for starting your
Monday with us. Here we go a brand new week.
We do have a big announcement coming this morning at
eight o'clock. We're two hours away.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Two hours.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Let'll tell you all about River on the rooftop. Twenty
twenty five people and waiting for this. The day has
arrived before we even get there.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Though. We have VIP pass for you at seven forty five.
It's a whole thing just stay with us all day
right here on the river.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
One seven the River, Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
We're looking for a first caller of the day right now,
and you're getting something real special.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
You're getting a Ricky Zach and Mano's sticker today.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Well that's at it. You're writting a sticker and a song.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Oh oh, you are going to do the song.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Of course we're doing this.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Don't say that.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Course you did not seem like you were ready to
do songs.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Oh, I very much. I think I was trying to
play it cool, like not act too excited. But I'm
so excited.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
Okay, Kevin's gonna make you a song and sing it
to you as well.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
We're gonna make some small talking to know you a
bit a bit, and then I'm gonna generate a really
a great song, the song of the Summer, perhaps about you, Okay,
and we're giving you a sticker.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
Six one five, seven, three, seven nine seven to be
the first color of.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
The day today.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
One seven, Ricky Zach and Menos.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
Shorting, who is currently from Ashland City but driving on
our way to work into Nashville. Good morning, Welcome to
one oh seven five the river.
Speaker 6 (03:45):
Good morning.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
What do you do, Cheryl? What do you do in Nashville?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Working quality for a pull?
Speaker 5 (03:50):
A lot of data and procedures, kind of waring.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Okay, but do you love it?
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Though?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
I do?
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I love it?
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Okay, that's all that matters we when it comes to
number I think I can say, collectively the three of
us not so great.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
No, not at all.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Me probably the worst, but not so great when it
comes to any sort of numbers or math or anything
like that.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
So as long as you love it, that's all the matter, Cheryl.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Would you do this weekend?
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Cheryl? We actually had to get to new phone, so
that's not always the most fun all the events.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
Okay, So let's see. Does Kevin have any more questions?
Because you're gonna get a song from Kevin, Cheryl. He's
gonna make you a song.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
I'm mining information right now so I can write the
song this summer about you.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Oh wow?
Speaker 7 (04:37):
Are you an iPhone or Android user?
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
iPhone? And we just got my daughter and iPhone?
Speaker 5 (04:46):
All right, they're an Apple family, Kevin. What else do
you need to know about Cheryl in order to make
this song?
Speaker 7 (04:50):
What's your favorite color?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Yeah, Okay, what's your favorite color?
Speaker 5 (04:53):
Probably purple?
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Okay, great, Ricky's gonna tell you about the sticker and
then I am gonna just blow your hair back of
the sorr.
Speaker 5 (05:00):
Purple is also my favorite color, Cheryl, So I love that,
and also one of the colors in the Ricky Zac
and Mano in the Morning sticker that you're gonna get
said to you, it's actually really cool because it is holographic.
We had to buy them ourselves, so they mean a
lot to us. Yeah, the company doesn't really owed that
much money for us, so we bought these ourselves.
Speaker 7 (05:22):
So we're very.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Excited to give one to you and sticks amazing. I
can't wait to see what you put it on.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Are you ready? Cheryl?
Speaker 2 (05:32):
In Nashville's home where the bright lights glow, Cheryl walks
with a calm, sure flow, a brand new iPhone in
her hand, snapping the sights of music land. Purple's her
shade bullet, serene like twilight skies in a southern scene.
She smiles at texts with a graceful sway, living her
best each vibrant day. Here's to Cheryl, Stylish and bright,
(05:54):
lit by screens and city light.
Speaker 7 (05:56):
Wow Heaven nice.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
I love it sound a very Broadway.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
Esque you did.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Is that a good thing?
Speaker 4 (06:03):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
Yet, Okay, Zach says yes, So we'll go ahead like, Oh,
Cheryl likes it, and that's what.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Matters because it was all for Cheryl.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah, thanks for being here, Cheryl.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Thank you my beautiful phone. Oh hang on the line, Love.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
We gotta get some info from you, Okay, if.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
You would like a song tomorrow, be here.
Speaker 7 (06:23):
The pressure is on, Kevin.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
I know you gotta get a one up yourself every day.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Do I say that I use chat jeep butte or
do I not?
Speaker 1 (06:30):
No?
Speaker 3 (06:31):
I mean that was I can't come up with that.
Speaker 7 (06:33):
That came out at the top of your head.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Ricky Sack in the morning.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
You're probably so sick and tired of hearing about us
talk about birthdays. But all three of us, Ricky, Zach
and Mano in the morning, we all have summer birthdays.
Kevin's was yesterday, so we're gonna celebrate today. Zach and
I have a little surprise for you.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Oh we do. We have a little surprise for you.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
It's more than a birthday. I don't know if this
ties into your surprise, is what if you don't know, honestly,
hang on, I'll tell you right after she boozy. So
you guys have a surprise for me. I have a
surprise for you, double surprise.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Next on the River, Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
It's one O seven five the River.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
We have a birthday to celebrate today because it was
technically yesterday. Yesterday was Kevin Manno's birthday. Birthday, thank you,
so we need to celebrate today.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Before that song, we kind of stumbled into the fact
that we have a double surprise here. Let me get
mine out of the way first, because it's it's kind
of underwhelming. Okay, but yesterday was more than my birthday.
It was our anniversary. We all met on my fortieth birthday.
That was the first time I ever met you guys.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
Okay, that was a cute surprise.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
I was a little nervous anniversary.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Oh how gross? No, I love that. I love that.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
So now Zach and I have a little surprise for you, Kevin.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
I hope you're actually ready.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Attention to Nashville. We have a very special birthday today.
It's Kevin Minnow's birthday, and we are going to show
him how to celebrate. Oh, god, oh my, are we
ready ready?
Speaker 4 (08:14):
Hey, life's good fortune. Come on, sit back and just relax.
Will fill your tow your place way. Where is that
you can't just celebrate with us today?
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Oh my gosh, my heart is so full right now.
That's Kevin's favorite thing to see the people.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
Every birthday for every person, So we had to see
it for you.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
I'm touched. I appreciate you guys preparing that.
Speaker 7 (08:38):
We worked really hard.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
That means a lot to me, really hard. Oh my god,
that is sort of my calling card.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
I say that I think at least a couple of
times on stage at River on the rooftop land year.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
Yes you did.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
I'll definitely do it again this year. I'm sure there
will be a birthday in the house. That means a lot.
Thank you, guys for that.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
Happy birthday.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Kept ong all right that I love it. It was
a great birthday yesterday. I got lunch with the family.
I went to see F one with some friends last night,
and then did something kind of spontaneous, which is not
normally me.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
What these friends and I. After we saw F one,
we went to a go kart race.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
K one track whatever one not men, It was not
even let you in on your birthday. Yeah, we were
all very competitive. I mean I hung in there, but
I didn't win. And now next up, Ricky's birthday is
coming up.
Speaker 5 (09:26):
Yes, yes, sorry, but birthdays, I know.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
We'll just keep on singing out Olive Garden song. Thank
you guys again.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Three things you need to know?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Hey, hey, hey, all right, let's go. Thanks for starting
this Monday with us. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
Fans think that Maddie Healy from the nineteen seventy five
was throwing shade at Taylor Swift Over the weekend, he
addressed the Glastonbury Festival, which just happened. He had the
full audience Friday night. During his set, before going into
the nineteen seventy five's Chocolate, he said, quote, I'm probably
the best songwriter of my generation, the best what do
(10:01):
we say, A poet, ladies and gentlemen is what I am.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Generational wordsmith.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
I just wanted to remind you, you know, in the
next couple of minutes, these lyrics, this poetry, I bleed
for you, all right, which, obviously, then fans, I'll focus
very much on the poet and poetry part. As a
dig to his ex Taylor Swift because she had the
Tortured Poets Department album that came out.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
But afterwards, he apparently.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
Did clarify after the performance that he was only joking
about being a poet.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Seems a little.
Speaker 5 (10:34):
Sus though, little sus little too many connections there, and
obviously Swifties jumped on it real fast.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
This is super cool.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
If you want, you can now see what your block
used to look like over the last twenty years. So
the Google Earth app now lets you basically travel through
time with this new thing that you can do.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
You just go into street View.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
You go into a setting and you can see past
pictures of the entire world anywhere you want from the
last twenty years. So search for a location and then
click street View and then you can scroll through the
dates tab that possish.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
My gosh, I'm definitely doing that. I want to see
my childhood home.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
That's kind of what I was thinking, is that you
can look back at your childhood home in the twenty
years and see, you know, the pieces that you remember,
maybe pieces you don't remember from that time. But there's
a new tool that lets users look at the historical
satellite imagery as well.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
So this is really really cool.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Also really something cool to kind of show your kids too, like, oh,
this is what it used to look like at one point.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Check it out in the Google Earth app.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
And Buddy's back Room inside Jelly Rolls good Night, Nashale
is now open to the public.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
Buddy's back Room.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
Was originally a private speakeasy that's tucked inside Jelly Rolls
Good Night in Nashville. It's open to the public on
Friday and Saturday nights, though now it's the third floor lounge.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
It was named after his late father.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
They serve Agave Forward cocktails and they have an entirely
different menu from the rest of the venue, so it
makes it a really cool moment.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
For you to check out.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
Like I said, Friday and Saturday nights is when you
can do that, Amrigy Sanchez, And those are the three
things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Thank you so much, Ricky. We're getting back into the
music here. Another reminder. One hour from right now, we're
making a big announcement river on the rooftop be here
at eight o'clock. People have been waiting for this, it's
coming this morning.
Speaker 5 (12:11):
Almost made the announcement by accident multiple occasions.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
And then right after grazy Abrams, we have a fact
for you on this Monday morning.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Zach Bax Next, Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
I hope you guys are ready to start your week
off right. It's Zack sbax on one of seventy five
the river.
Speaker 8 (12:29):
Babies are born with more bones than adults.
Speaker 7 (12:33):
Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 8 (12:34):
So babies are born with like two hundred and seventy
five to three hundred bones, and then as you grow
into an adult, they fuse into like one big bone.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
So one big bone, you have two hundred and six bones,
but they fuse into larger bone.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
I also know the baby's bones are like a little
more like soft and bendy.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
Yeah, okay, that is crazy to think that, you know,
a baby with a soft head has all those bones.
Speaker 7 (13:01):
Has three hundred bones.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
That's wild.
Speaker 7 (13:03):
And there's your fact of the day.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
One Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
You've been talking about our river on the Rooftop Alumni
Pass for what feels like forever at this point.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
This is to just.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
Hold you over before our big announcement of this year's
river on the rooftop.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
But we've been telling you you have a chance to
win tickets to go see.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
Three alumni, So Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, and Maren Morris
each at their respective shows this year in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
We have our winner on the line right now.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Well, she doesn't know she's the winner quite yet. Let's
just say good morning to Melanie in Nashville.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
How are you good?
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Melanie?
Speaker 5 (13:39):
You sound a little nervous to be on one O
seven five the River? Are you nervous right now?
Speaker 4 (13:43):
A little?
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Why? I don't know.
Speaker 7 (13:47):
I mean it is very early.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
So very early.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
And also I mean, do you have any idea on
why we would be calling you to talk to you Melanie?
Speaker 3 (13:56):
For the River on the rooftop giveaway the alumni? Yeah,
you entered to win that thing.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
That's tickets to see Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, Maren Morris.
Of the three of them, who would you say you'd
be most excited to see Sabrina?
Speaker 7 (14:10):
Good Shoe? I figured that would be your answer, Melanie.
Speaker 5 (14:12):
How many times did you submit yourself to win? I'm
not sure more than you can even count. Yeah, okay, well, Melanie,
I'm gonna tell you right now. However many times it
was that you submitted to yourself.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
It wasn't enough.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
I'm so sure enough, Keevin, it paid off.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
You are our winner of our River on the Rooftop alumnies.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
That's what I like to hear.
Speaker 7 (14:34):
Melanie.
Speaker 5 (14:35):
Congratulations, Love You're gonna see Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, and
Maren Morris at each of their shows this year.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Thank you, you are so welcome.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Congratulations and hey, yeah, I mean the whole concept here
is they have played our previous River on the Rooftops
in the past.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
We've got another one coming up soon.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
We've got that big announcement coming at eight o'clock, just
after eight o'clock.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
We'd love to see you at that one too.
Speaker 7 (14:56):

Speaker 5 (14:59):
Make sure take lots of pictures and videos when you go,
and you tag us in all of the fun that
you're having.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
We'd love to see you guys having fun at these concerts.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Okay, all right, hang out, not a bad way to
start a Monday.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Hang out.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Okay, okay, all right, we do get to tell you
a little bit about River on the Rooftop.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
This year at eight am.
Speaker 7 (15:16):
Eight o'clock on the Dot. Well not on the dot.
Maybe a little may just be.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Here as it might come up a few minutes past,
but be here.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
At a Ricky Zach and Men in the morning.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
You got a new game for you to play this
week for Kevin Manno's Game of the Day, presented by
Genesis Diamonds, and for a very special prize, you're gonna
win VIP passes to our river on the rooftop. That
means that you have guaranteed entry and access to our
VIP deck above the stage. Because this is a free show,
everyone is welcome to come to the show. We always
make them free for you for our community. But this
(15:51):
just means you don't got to wait in line that
long and you get to like kind of hover over
everybody else.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
And again, we're making the announcement at eight o'clock, so
you're getting these VIP passes before you even know who's playing.
You're gonna get the very first pair of tickets into
the thing. It's it's really very exciting right now. And
this week it's a summer showdown.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
Oh my god, I need.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Two people going head to head six one five, seven,
three seven, nine, one oh seven. It is a summer showdown,
so some questions, trivia questions about summer related things. Okay,
if you win again, these VIP passes are yours.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Two people head to head. Let's go say it again
one more time. It's a summer showdown.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Next down the River one seven, Ricky, Zach and Meno
in the morning.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
We are so.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
Excited at one oh seven five the River because today's
the day that we announced River on the Rooftop and
to celebrate that, Kevin Manno's Game of the Day prize
is VIP passes. That means that you have guaranteed entry
and access to a VIP deck above the stage four
River on the rooftop.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
We're doing this before you even know who's there. Yeah,
but this is a big deal.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
I'm genuinely so excited. Me Tore, this is awesome.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
So we're having a summer showdown. That's the game this week.
So we've got two contestants out on the line here. First,
let's say good morning to Stephanie and Murphy's Borough. Hi Stephanie, Hi,
good morning, I'm good morning. How are you feeling, I'm good, good,
good good. Welcome to the show. And Jennifer, also in
Murphy's Burrow, how are you good? How are you no
complaints over here? Like we said, it's a very exciting day.
(17:22):
So only one of you can win these VIP passes.
But again, River on the rooftop free to everybody, so
you can both obviously come and enjoy the show.
Speaker 5 (17:30):
All right, So you guys are gonna have to shout
out your names, yeah, before you actually answer the question.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
That's how these showdowns work. Yes, you're gonna buzz in
with your name. So if you know the answer, Stephanie,
you shout Stephanie, and Jennifer you shout Jennifer and uh.
Because we're so excited about this, we're gonna make it.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Three out of five. You gotta get three out of
five right to win the tickets.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Okay, okay, okay, all right, the game starts right now,
starting with kind of a tough one. It's no walking
the park to get these VIP passes. What does SPF
stand for? Jennifer, Jennifer.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Sunscreen.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
I'm gonna stop you there. It's not that, it's not
it's not sunscreen. Stephanie, do you want to steal or
do we just move on to the next one. I
have no idea. Okay, maybe it was a little too tough.
It's sun protection factor. Just so everybody knows. Okay, here
we go, question number two. Shout out your name if
you know the answer. What Disney character sang a humorous
(18:31):
song about all the things he plans on doing in
the summer.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Jennifer Jennifer Jennifer correct, alright, nice, Ricky, can you keep score.
I'm gonna get Jennifer's on the board every summer.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
What music festival takes place in Chicago's Grant Park.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Jennifer Jennifer. Today, Jen's got to coome on, Stephanie, wake up?
What musical features the song Summer Nights? Jennifer Jennifer.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Yeah, run the rooftop with these VIP passes, Stephanie. This
is where we say goodbye to you. Thank you so
much for listening and calling and playing. You can still
come out to the show.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
It's free for everyone.
Speaker 6 (19:22):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
I'm very excited.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Just after eight o'clock, Good morning friends, Thank you for
being here. On the other side of three things, we
are going to make our big river on the rooftop announcement.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
But first, Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
Lewis Capaldi's surprise Glastonbury festivalgoers.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
Over the weekend.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
Glastonbury was where Lewis Capaldi had his last public performance.
You probably remember this, but two years ago he had
a panic attack and it kind of cut his show
short and the entire crowd ended up singing with him.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
It was a very beautiful.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Moment, incredible moment.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
If you watched it, I'm sure you cried. I cry
every time I see it. Lewis took a mental health
hiatus and kind of left the music scene for a
little while to work on to himself and you know,
with Tourette syndrome, kind of figure out a way to
make sure.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
That he feels good, which totally makes sense.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
But now he's back. He surprised the crowd to finish
what he couldn't last time. He's saying someone you Loved,
as well as his new single Survive. He also announced
some tour dates in the UK, Ireland in Europe. No
US dates have been announced yet, though, unfortunately, if he.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Does announce them, I will obviously let you know.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
This is wild, but apparently Paul Walker's Brian O'Connor's character
is going to be in the new Fast and Furious movie,
So Paul Walker played Brian O'Connor in the first five
or six of the Fast and Furious movies before tragically
passing away in a car crash in twenty thirteen. The
movies took on the plotline that his character had retired
(20:53):
from racing, meaning that.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Brian is still alive in Fast and Furious.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
Now, Ben Diesel says he's coming back for the final film,
which is going to be set in la just like
the first one was. The idea is that they'll use
CGI and his brothers to continue his legacy to wrap
up the franchise. The eleventh installment of Fast and Furious
is going to hit theaters April twenty twenty seven, which
is crazy to think.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
That it's actually wrapping up.
Speaker 5 (21:16):
I feel like my entire life has been Fast Furious movies, I.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Know, right.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
And then they're going to make a comeback at some point.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
And NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore has been honored in Mount Juliet.
The city officially named a portion of North Mount Juliet
Road after him. They had a celebration on Saturday to
commemorate the moment. Barry Wilmore was part of the unexpected
nine month trip into space It was originally only supposed.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
To be ten days but ended up being nine months.
Speaker 5 (21:43):
He is a local, so they celebrated him in Mount
Juliet and I think that is so sweet.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
They said that he took pictures with every single person
that else.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
I love that, Amrichy Sanchez. And those are the three
things you need to know.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Thank you time. Here we go all the time.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
I'm so excited. I'm so excited. We are going to
tell you who's playing River on the rooftop this year.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
We've got one big name to say right now. That's
all the needs to be said. There's more information coming soon.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
But Ricky, if you want to do the honors, and
then I'll hit.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
This, we'll hear a bit of this musician song. One
of the songs.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Lewis Capaldi is our headliner.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
In enough and for that whole story about him disappearing
for two years coming back to Glastonbury. He hasn't announced
anything in the US for him. This is it playing
our free show for us guys.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
I've never been this excited.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
This is a really hard secret to keep.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Oh my god, he's gonna be out there with a
skydeck on Broadway. Thursday, July tenth, calendar. Yeah, doors open
at five point thirty. There's gonna be a line, so
get there. The show starts at seven o'clock. There will
be more people on the bill with him. But right now,
all you need to know Lewis Capaldi and.
Speaker 4 (22:57):
The other thing you need to know.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Like we keep saying, but I want to reiterate this,
it is a free show, entirely free. We do this
for you, for the community, because we love you so much.
This is a free show to see Lewis Capaldi. We
don't even know if you're going to be able to
see him in the US after this, but either way,
it's freaking free to see freaking Lewis Capaldi.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Like what his big return is making global headlines right now,
he has not announced anything in the US.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Ry We just made the announcement.
Speaker 5 (23:25):
This is it.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
He is coming to the US. He's playing our show
for free July tenth.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
I am gonna cry at the show though, just beware
of that.
Speaker 5 (23:33):
But if you see me crying, yeah, no, you didn't
leave me alone.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
I'm so excited about this. I can't wait till Ricky's
crying out there. It's gonna be the best.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Let's play his new songs survive here and there you go.
There's the announcement Lewis Capaldi doing River on the rooftop.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
I'm so pumped on.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning the River.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
I apparently messed up because I said to happy birthday
text in our group chat with me, Kevin and Zach,
to wish Kevin a happy birthday, and apparently that's frowned upon.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Now that we've been talking about it.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
I think that I actually don't mind the group birthday
text because let's say my wife and I one of
our friends it's their birthday. If she sends a group
text saying happy birthday, I feel like I'm off the
hook and I don't have to do anything she's speaking.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
You'll have to She's speaking on behalf of the Mano family.
Speaker 7 (24:19):
So it's covered, I don't think.
Speaker 5 (24:21):
So that got real mad at me about the fact
that I sent it in the group chat.
Speaker 7 (24:24):
Yeah, I was so annoyed.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
You were real annoyed.
Speaker 5 (24:26):
And then the entire table of all the people that
we were with was like, yeah, dude, what.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
Is that about. And I realized that this was a
bad move.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
I thought it was totally normal.
Speaker 4 (24:34):
So I googled it.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
Just now too, because I was like, let's see what
people have to say on Google. Apparently direct messages are
the preferred way to do a happy birthday.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
One on one.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
So I messed up.
Speaker 5 (24:45):
Maybe I just I don't really get group chat etiquette
to begin with.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
I I'm being honest.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Do you have any more tips or any group chat
There's a lot of things.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
That I don't agree with, Like, there's a lot of
it says avoid spamming in group check in group check,
but I feel like that's all group chats are is spamming.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
It's a bunch of people messaging.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
At the same time, it says acknowledging messages even if
you don't have a detailed response immediately. No, I'm not
responding until I'm ready to respond. That doesn't make any sense.
This one is the only one I think I agree
with upon everything I've seen, which is introductions.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
If you're joining a new group, you have to introduce yourself.
Speaker 7 (25:22):
Yeah, that makes sense sure, because even if.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
You think everybody has your number, you don't know that
they do, and then they don't know who you are.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
What are Where do we stand on opting out of
a group.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
Ooh, Kevin, Hey, we have.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
One here at work with like probably four other people.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
It's us and probably four others, and I have it
on silent because once you guys get going, my lord,
I'll look at my phone be like, fifty four miss texts.
I'm like, huh, I'm not gonna get caught up.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
On all this.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
I think it's really that there should be limits to
the amount of people that are in a group text.
Speaker 7 (25:49):
I think so too, because then.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
It just gets out of control.
Speaker 5 (25:51):
I think if it's more than five people, you've lost
the plot.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
It's a lot.
Speaker 8 (25:55):
The other thing that drives me absolutely insane is like,
in a group text, it's just two people are having
the conversation. Just text them separately. Yeah, Like, why are
you just just the two of you texting in the
group chat?
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Why it's an ab conversation. Yeah, I'll see myself out please.
Speaker 5 (26:13):
Well, I learned a valuable lesson this weekend, is the
bottom line, and I hope you did through my mistake.
Don't send happy birthday text in group chats. It's frowned
upon by everyone.
Speaker 8 (26:21):
Very rude.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
If you'd like to weigh in six one, five, seven, three, seven,
nine seven five, ky Zach, and that's say good morning
to Mandy. Welcome to one oh seven five the River.
Do you have an opinion on.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
Group text etiquette?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Ricky wished me a happy birthday and in a group text,
and nobody liked that.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
Well what happy blated bersad by the way, and I
do because I feel like in a group chat, if
someone wishes a happy birthday and nobody else realized that
it was your birthday, then they can also wish you
a happy birthday if they didn't know, and now they do.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
What if they did know, but now it seems like
they're only wishing you a happy birthday because you know
the first person did.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (27:01):
Well, I mean at least they're still wishing you a
happy birthday. Then you still feel good about.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
Yourself, right. See.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
I'm with Mandy because at that point, even if they
feel bad because they're like, oh I actually knew about that,
they were.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
Gonna think I didn't, you still said happy birthday. At
the end of today.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
At the end of the day, I was annoyed by
how many texts I had to respond to.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
I'm so sorry you have friends.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
I went to see f one last night.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
It's a long movie, and I could just feel my
phone vibrating the whole time, and I was like, I know,
but it.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Was it was just too much.
Speaker 6 (27:32):
But at least at least you could answer one thank
you everybody in the group chat as a pussy individual methday, I.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
Think maybe we just need one full group chat of
all of your friends and family and everybody who just
said you happy birthday at the same time.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Now we're on, it's kind of like that, all right, Mandy,
thank you for your input here all right, Thanks guys, Reiki,
Zach and five the River.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
It's the Daily Double Tap.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
There is a new Smurfs movie coming out to and
Rihanna is one of the voices. Yeah, she is, and
that is the uh, the topic of today's Daily Double Tap.
Speaker 5 (28:10):
Well, because is it Smurfs or should it be Smurfs?
Speaker 8 (28:14):
I don't like the way you said that Smurvs serves here.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
We are here.
Speaker 7 (28:19):
Do you say what you said again?
Speaker 8 (28:20):
I said I didn't really like Rihanna's song for the
new Smurfs movie.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
Are you saying it like that?
Speaker 4 (28:26):
That's how you say her name. I saw the name
of the movie, the Smurvs. The what the Smurvs it's smurfs.
Speaker 8 (28:33):
No, singularly it's a smurf, but a group of them
are smurfs.
Speaker 4 (28:37):
They are not called smurvs.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Are you being serious? Are you being serious?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Okay, leaf leaves, wolf wolves, Smurf, Smurvs, Okay.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
I don't need a grammar.
Speaker 6 (28:48):
Listen.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
I couldn't agree more.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
It makes sense.
Speaker 5 (28:52):
Yeah, And it's kind of annoying that it makes sense
because smurvs also sounds wrong.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
Yes, I agree with you there, But did they do
it on purpose? Did they misname them on purpose? Like
the smurfs is what the name of the I.
Speaker 5 (29:07):
P or is?
Speaker 7 (29:08):
Like their last name?
Speaker 2 (29:09):
The Smurfs they are they are smurfs. They are they
are smurf like that. They're not humans, They're smurfs.
Speaker 7 (29:16):
What is their last name? Smurf?
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Oh that's a good question. I gotta do some Smurf research.
I don't know. I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
We're gonna post the video if you want to share
it At one O seven five the River on Instagram.
You always put the daily double tap up there.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Smurfs.
Speaker 5 (29:32):
I think smurfs is their last name.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Might be I have to I think it's too late
for them to change it. It's the established at this
point
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Ye Ricky Zach and Meno in the morning,
