Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s Power Two Podcast. On this show, we talk about Big Ten and SEC football…and everyone else. This show is for the die-hard fans and the casual college football fans. After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the major matchups of the previous weekend and look ahead at the games, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host DaNaysia Jones. Lock in as we run a power sweep through the college football landscape. DJ and Jordan recap the 2025 NFL Draft in this week's episode. They start by analyzing the draft picks per conference. The Power Two Conferences (SEC and Big 10) cleaned up with 150 out of 257 draftees. The Power Four conferences had 223 of the 257 draftees. Jordan was excited because Ohio State had the highest number of draftees with 14. He would’ve loved to see the team break the record of 15, especially since there was an actual chance for it. DJ was happy to see that SMU had two draftees, as it is indicative of the profile of the school rising. Jordan and DJ also discussed how the number of draftees at each school shows the state of their program. In the two-minute drill, DJ and Jordan discuss Shedeur Sanders. There was a lot of coverage and discussion about when he was selected and how far down he fell. DJ and Jordan share very strong opinions about why that may have happened. DJ believes that no matter how things transpired, he was being unfairly judged because of who he is. Jordan believes Deion’s behavior heavily contributed to Shedeur’s draft positioning as well. This prompts a conversation about how much or how little any of these behaviors matter to the draft and the punishment not fitting the crime. The conclusion is that we hope Shedeur is able to prove all the naysayers wrong. In the power sweep, Jordan and DJ continue to discuss the other draftees. They are stunned by Quinn Ewers' positioning in the draft given what he accomplished at Texas. They also discussed how the coverage of Shedeur not getting drafted overshadowed a lot of the other draftees' experience. In the two-minute warning, Jordan talks about Sinners now that he has seen it. DJ talks about receiving a signed copy of Cynt Marshall’s book recently and how she identifies with her.  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you like the show, please share it with friends and family and leave a five-star review.
