In this episode of Majority Rules, Karen is joined by the roommates, Matthew & Dylan, to chat about wrestling woes -- with the exception of our CHAMP Keegan and a couple of other decent performances, it was the worst conference wrestling performance in 20 years so... yikes. The hits keep coming as the chat moves onto diamond sports duds, as Karen & Dylan discuss what's going on with softball and how a weekend at home could help heal them, as well as how baseball continues to struggle with injuries, pitching, and well.... everything. Apologies on the limited baseball update; Matthew had to run.
Abigail swoops in via video for a rapid-fire NCAA preview that is delightful as always, and then the talk shifts to the awesomeness that is Mizzou Gymnastics and the season they're having. They're coming together at the right time and the sky is the limit for Welker's crew. Rory then joins via video message with some uplifting updates on women's golf, who ended the fall season on a high note and are continuing to do well, and some notes on men's golf before moving onto Mizzou's RANKED tennis team, swimming updates with NCAAs on the horizon, and diving updates from the Zone D qualifying meet in Iowa. Lastly, Karen & Dylan regroup to talk about the WBB coaching search, of which there appear to be some clear targets, and it looks like Laird held up his end of the bargain in actually being willing to shell out some money to perhaps poach a sitting Power 4 coach. The vibes are promising around Mizzou WBB right now, which feels....weird.
