Regular season is over, Easter Sunday, Sunday, end of the
regular season. Crazy, didn't it fly by? My ninth season

with the Cavaliers coming to an end? That's crazy. I
can't believe it is. This is my twentieth season comes
to an end. Do you have a end of season tradition?
I do what is yours. At the end of every season,
I watch I kind of get myself all set up
with all my kind of treats and everything like that.
And I watched Days and Confused. How is that related

to because that's kind of the it's the end of
the school year. The movie is and then it's like an,
I never watched that movie. You never watched Days That Confused?
Oh rafa have you ever seen it? No? That was
our surprise, guest. I stop the moment, the moment we
cleanse the playoff spot. I stopped shaving my playoff beer,

your playoff beard. I didn't. When we clinched, I shaved myself.
So I'm going to grow the nice beard. Yeah, so
that's my tradition at the end of every season. But
it's coming to an end, and it flew by. I
think it flew by. And I have to be careful
because I am mistaken by the kind of people. And
then I was I remember less when we were in
the finals, I was, I was a victim of racism,

but like confused racism. But it betook me as an
Arab blaming me for the problems that wow, And I
didn't know what to say back. I just I just say,
I don't know what you're talking about. You're fresh back
from well not fresh back, but you joined us on

the road trip in Orlando from the final four? Yeah? Man,
which final four is that for you? How many? My six?
This was my sixth four because in the pandemic there
was none. So final four games were pretty good. Actually
one was good. You know what the final we were
so accustomed to, like the Buss beater and and the

march madnetto you know, it's like, but Connecticut they served
to win. The mean, they didn't dismantle every single opponent
in the tournament. What they did in Houston, they did
throughout the brackets, It wasn't something that they just came
up and just played well. For sure, they made everybody
look bad. Double digit wins and and a team that

was not ranked prior to the beginning of the tournament
of the of their season, and then they ended up
doing what they did, and then you know, Miami didn't
show up. I think Miami, out of the four teams,
Miami is the one that kind of the event. The
scenery kind of was a little big for them from
the beginning because they were shooting shoot like one point

seventeen to start the game, and then so they stayed
played five minutes and then they went five different stretches
during the game of at least three minutes without a bucket.
You can't win games like that. It was boring. I
hate to say it. I mean, I'm I got my
buzzard beater always great. Let me ask you, did you

get to meet Bill Walton again? It was Bill Walton, Yes,
you know, he was so funny and dreamed to meet him.
Robert terrey As who was here from Barcelona from later
he was from Spain. He was coming. He came for
Noche Latina for his second year and then he came

and to join me in Orlando for the first game,

you know, he's always been a little singular, a little

he didn't like people shaking his hand, getting close to work,

He always greased me by my first name and asked
me how's everything going. Obviously we had a lot to

we talked about his boy and everything. But Robert asked
him for a picture and Bill goes, okay, but outside
because he caught him in the tunnel coming out into
the into the into the into the ball outside and

then he said, you walk first, like work in front
of me, like he didn't want him. He doesn't like
people getting because it's Bill Walton man. Everybody wants to
get close to him. Everybody wants to take pictures with him,
and he does takes the picture, but he likes like
the person who's taking a picture to be in front
of him as opposed to next to him. It's Bill Walton,

all right? Uh? And then also tomorrow, actually today, I'm
sorry today, you're going to do on Saturday, You're doing
Guardians Baseball. Yeah, Carlos Baerga, me and car he's in

have worked a game with him before, but this is
the first time that the Guardians are actually starting the season.
Octavio did the opening day game. We're gonna yeah, We're
gonna split duties on the play by play. I don't
know how Carlos is gonna like that. You're switching from
one guy to another. So I'm doing I'm doing today's
and then I'm doing the two games of the of
the Yankee series starting Monday, and doing Monday and Wednesday

afternoon game one of close. It is gonna be seventy degrees?

Browns guys because that's kind of the odd one. Because
Joe Tate obviously did. The Cavaliers and Indians and you guys,

and like it changes a little kids. So they're listening
and could say, hey man, this is what I aspire too.
It's cool. I think we're hoping that I can do
a world serious again. I don't know world serious before,

did the Cavs Finals would be just yeah, is it
going to really bump you out? When the Indians when
the Guardians kick the crap out of the Yankee No, man,

my whole loyaltyam You know, I always I was born
a Yankee fan. I'm not gonna lie that. I never
hide that, Okay, but my loyalties with the Guardians because
I'm part of them now, I'm part of the team.
You know, it doesn't matter. I mean, the Yankees have

not at all. And I'm just hoping that we are

able to lift the Rafa curse close to the lake

in these two game sets seven on one man, and
we talked about how it was going to be important
for them too. You know, in Miami they experienced the
first time of adjustment from one game to another. Unfortunately,
in the second game. We had some some some people
injured like Alan and DG were not were not part

of it, but they get they experienced a little bit.
Considering it was in Miami, it was probably like only
two quarters, like the second and tire with people in
the stand because people get it really late and leave
the really But you know, in Charlotte they took care
of business, care business. In Brooklyn they really took care
of business. It was like a playoff atmosphere because there
was still a lot in play. Maybe the nets were

like right behind our tails, you know, trying to get
to the fourth spot. So I think seven on one
record it speaks a lot of things for the coaching staff,
for the guys, and and and just to take care
of business. To me, the biggest lesson is when the
first one agreed and then you're playing, you're playing with
house money agreed, and you know the pressure is on

the other side. The same thing coming in here we got.
They fought so hard for home field advantage, right, they
play so well at home. We only one we're the
only one of the top sixteen with a losing record
on the road. So that's something that changed at the
end because we did we did much better seven in
the last nine. And yeah, we did much better on
the road, right, And I think that have to do
with the mindset going into the end of the season

and you know, time big time because you're going in
the medicine regard to me. And then you know, we
talked about our guys getting their feet wet, like putting
the toes in the water. I mean, there's no bigger
pool to get man. Stage lighting. Let's not talk about
anything that goes on and on the stands and in
the broadcast booth, but like in the state, in the
on the court. Yeah, the stage lighting, the crowd. I

love stage light. That's the one thing I wish we
would do that is amazing to and that I mean,
they're going into the lions. Then in terms of feeling
what everybody's talking about the playoff feel, yeah, no, it's
gonna be uh, they're gonna be you know, jumping right

how they do. I wonder if I should bring cheese

me being a New Yorker, the size of the mouse

So we gotta talk about the masters right like it's
one of the most speaking of mullet. The the the
amateur player Bennett, who's in second place starting the turn around,
he got a one. He's playing with he's got a mullet. Yeah,
I'm rooting against him. He's playing with the leaders today.

He had three. Soon they're doing at the end because
of the rain. They had a rain, they had a
rain delay, and they finished the second round on Saturday,
so they might have to imagine that he's gonna he
started playing with with Homer and Scheffler the first two
rounds and now he's gonna go with Ram and Kepca.
That's pretty big, big, big time. So this is what's
going on and the Masters right now, you know, the

Arabs started this new golfee leave, right, so they took
some of them. Some of the big shot like pil
Michelson came, I know, the mullet guy, Cam Cameron David
who won a tournament last year when the Open he
was open. So now it's kind of like something that

I guess nowadays people love like evil and good. Now
it depends on which side you're on. It's like, oh
my god, I leave guy he's winning the Masters, which
I'm pity shure they're gonna use to promote the league
and KEPCA wins the Masters and then you know, because
they don't they're not allowed to play on the regular
PA event. They only they only played the Grand Slams,

so the Majors. So if they what it is, they're
only las are only allowed to play the Major because
they're the ones that are qualified for it. And the
only way you qualify now for them is winning the tournament.
And they don't want to play any regular ones because
that's different. Right, Yeah, they don't let them play because
they left. They left the PG Why did they let
him in the Majors? Then, well, they just say, hey,
because the majors are not run by the PGA. Everybody

runs their own thing. See I'm learning something, So they'd
be interested to see that angle, you know, I want
to you know, if Kepka wins, everybody's like, oh my god,
leave this this. You know. I'm sure kept a live guy. Yeah,
and he has done really well in the majors all
his career. He's gonna he's gonna be his fifth major.
So if he wins, what are the implications that means

that he's qualified to play the majors for the next
three years? Probably I don't know what the exemption rules are.
But also because they you know, and that would really
like Jeff Rod I'm pretty should live. He's gonna use
it as say we got the best golfer because you know,
when you win a major, you you you're playing against
the best Yeah yeah, golfers in the world. Yeah right,

So I don't know, I'd be interesting to see what happened.
But we've ever been in the Masters? What have you
ever been to the Masters? No? I'm actually got trying
to snooze snique my way in there to do it
because Westwood one who does the basketball, Piven and four.

Augusta after that to do the to do the Masters

him to do them in Spanish. That would be like
for me, there's two things that I really would like
to rest man, which is the Masters and the Stanley
Cup finals. Those are two things that I like, I

I'm a I'm a golfriend. So I would love to

I would always on my bucket list. I'd like to
go one year tour all SEC football games. Really yeah,

I've been through the swamp. I would like to do that.

And I would like to see a big football soccer
and what am I supposed to say here? Soccer soccer?
I would like see big soccer. Okay, so I'd like
to go would a big soccer game, and like, but
I want to get India and would do the World
Cup when it comes here. And I want but I

like five sandwiches, a beer, and an ice cream sandwich
for like twenty bucks. Why takes one of the first
paychecks to get into the Masters, And yeah, that's what
they understand that. But I mean it's like, is it
like that's like their tradition that we're never gonna raise
they their concessions are really cheap. So that's pretty cool. Yeah,
I thought it was cool. All right, Okay, what else

You know, of course home opener was Friday. I think
it's the third straight home opener they've lost the Guards.
Um is uh is calling baseball fun? Yeah? You enjoy
calling baseball? Baseball it's my favorite support. Yeah, it's it's
always I don't know, it's always uh, you know, like
being a journalist and journalism major and all that kind
of thing, Like it's it's you know, I think it's

always kind of fun to think about the differences in
like calling different sports. In baseball is just constant talking
and story. Well, I'm not toally excited about it because
you know, now with the pitch clock, it changes completely
how you call the game because there's not that much time.
It's fifteen seconds in between pitches. I love it, so
there's not much time to love it to go around.

So that's something I'm gonna experience today for the first time.
Just to see how that works. But I'm not one
of those that believed in shortening the game is gonna
get more fun more fans. But hey, if i'm home
earlier than I'm all for that. I think it's great.
But you know, I can't wait to hear from players
like by Erga and some of the players how does

that affect their game? Because I was watching yesterday the
game and I and I and the first thought I
had was, Man, this pitch working, This pitch is working
really fast. I can't believe they're stepping out like taking
over rythm. And then I realized it's like it's the
pitch clock. Yeah, the second, then the second they outs
made on a roller for example, the clock start again,

and the picture the batter has to be in before
I think the catcher has to be down before twelve.
They heat have to be facing the picture before eight seconds,
and then the picture has to the only two throws
to first base. That's interesting, I think. I think that's
I think the pitch clocks that affects a little bit.
That affects a little bit. But what I don't understand
is if a picture could have I don't know what

they call it disengagements or disembarkments. Like if a pitcher
can have two of those per at bat, why doesn't
a batter get two times per ape bat? Batter only
gets one. Yeah, I think that's kind because I think
the batteries are the one that had made this game longer.
Like I remember no, No would take a pitch step

off after every pitch, right, all that stuff right, like
bad he like, dude, you haven't done anything. Step Yeah.
And that's the reason why they did it, because some
of the heaters just leave the batter box for no reason. Yeah.
I mean, but you know you make hard Grove called

in the box when they when they change the when

they changed the rule, they put videos of like some
of the longest a bad before new and there was
there was like there was an instance where a guy
put out two players while this dude took two pitches. Wow,
I just you know, just like I think in his glove. Yeah,
it's too much. It was like a whole f inning,

a whole half inning. Yeah, was done by the time
that one app bat was over, and he's like taking
time and like you know, so I agree with that
it's not perfect, and hopefully as the years going they'll
they'll tweak it. But I love that the game is
a little quicker. I hate it, like there's too much
jerking around. Yeah, And I think by the time we
get to the playoff, everybody should be used to the

cadence of the game. So if he happens in the playoffs,
like he didn't in the in the in the in
training camp where a game was decided because I dude
took too long and a picture or a catch it
took too long, so they gave an extra ball and
they walked him and the game was all or whatever
it was. I think it struck out then, like, if
he happened to you in the playoff, then you haven't
been around. Yeah, right, right, So I'm I'm okay with

the rules. I don't understand how bigger bags is gonna
help base stealers. Well, they don't gotta they don't gotta
go far to touch the base. Yeah, but it's not
like they put them and they can, you know, and
a head first dive, there's more to grab. Yeah, you

you you know, like baseball so quick. The difference between

only time where they appraise you for stealing man in baseball?

count last year, like the NBA doesn't even count playing stats. Yeah, yeah,

in the ABYSS? They don't count as regular season, they
don't kind of playoffs. That's crazy, man. Yeah, they're almost throwaways.
I mean they yeah, and now after they're after the
regular season eighty two games, that should be they conform
the Eastern Conference is the only one that is all set. Yeah, right,
Toronto hosting Chicago for nine and ten, and Miami is

hosting Atlanta in atlantaftery going to the conference final. It's
like in the playing again. Yeah yeah, and then you
know the Nets against the Sixers, no Ben Simmons, they
shut down. And then US against the Knicks. Yeah, I
think the most compelling match by the first round in
the East is US. I'm not just saying that, all right,
we are the most I mean that Kev's Knicks is

the best one. Yeah. Yeah, Because I'm telling you man
Celtics and Box waiting for maybe maybe somebody against Miami.
It's a little bad, that's fine. But I mean right now,
I think that we have the storylines. But I think
about the team to Chicago, they haven't really had like
season through right home about right there, Like I said,
in the East, there's nothing else really that I'm looking

at the first round that how about the Westmount Dallas
is out officially now and Dallas do you see how
see do you see that tweet? Because they still had
a chance to make it to the plane, but apparently

because he looks just like you guys. Looked like he
could be the triplet. Is he the oldest one or
the youngest one? Brother? Yeah, he looked just like. He

looked just like Broke and Rollers. I thought it was like, man,
people would think it's like Brook over here hanging out.
So we have to talk a little. Cavaliers playoffs coming up.
You've been to the playoffs, six trips to the playoffs,
and you also played in New York. What's that atmosphere
gonna be like? And for young guys like this, are
they're gonna be ready for the mecca in the playoffs.

It's hard to say what the mecca in the playoffs
will be like because we gonna make the playoffs when
I was there, But I think these guys are ready,
no question. U. I enjoyed seeing everybody's reaction to making
the playoffs, notching fifty wins because it's been such a
journey for a lot of guys here. They've come a
long way in a few short years. So to see
that progress, that's that's something special. And then like this

group of I want to talk to you about this
group of big guys because every group of big guys
are kind of unique, obviously, and this group is a
unique group. You got Jared Evan, super quiet mambady, who's
kind of a character unto himself. And then there's you.
How would you characterize this year's group of Bigs's definitely
very special, definitely one of gotten unique. I think big

men they're kind of since they're forced to stand out
because they are so hard to miss, right, they don't
have a problem developing personalities like that. Yeah, I'll continue
