Speaker 1 (00:01):
My name is Jim Powell. I am the host of
the podcast that you can find on YouTube called The
Night's Watch. You can find me on YouTube and if
you're having problems finding me, you can put in my
old handle name, which is a fisher of spam and

(00:21):
that should pull me up. But anyways, yeah, so my
goal there is basically to tell all the experiences that
I've had, you know, chronologically, for prosperity's sake, and also
to help people if I can. You know, that's that's

(00:41):
kind of my goal because when I had all of
my experiences, you know, I felt very alone, very alone,
and I wish I had more people to try to
talk sense into me and kind of bring me back
from the brink because it was a it's a very
harrowing thing, you know. But I mean things are great now,

(01:02):
so no worries there. But you know, I took care
of all that and then now basically I interview people
that I'm sure plenty of y'all out there in the
audio lands have heard, and sometimes I'll go over cases,
sometimes I'll redo things, you know. I remember one of

(01:22):
the interesting things from the internet years ago was like
the Lisertophiles, you know, I redid that and gave oh
A serta real good AI voice recording that had really
good inflection because I was taught how to script right
and it turns out when you do that with AI,

(01:43):
you can make it sound pretty good. So stuff like that.
I also go out into the field. So I just
released my first field research documentary. It's called Enigma in
the Smokies. It takes place in smoking Mountain National floors
and needs to say, we're going to actually go over
some of that today, and it's really cool watch, you know.

(02:06):
I mean, I kind of go out there gorilla style
with pretty much my cell phone, used GoPro and a
cheap pair of lab mics and catch some pretty cool stuff,
you know, and then let's see here. Outside of that,
I'm also a cameraman for a little company called Relic

(02:30):
Films that pretty much does the same thing, only with
instead of me working with like a one hundred dollars
budget of you know gear, essentially, you know, my camera
alone when I'm out there is twenty plus thousand dollars.
So at Relic we make some really cool stuff and
get into all kinds of hijinks and fun things. And

(02:51):
you can check them out on Patreon. But yeah, so
that's kind of me and what I do. So as
far as my Bigfoot experiences go, you know, I'll say
that with me, I had one experience that happened to

(03:17):
me when I was seventeen and now I'm thirty seven,
so ages ago. And to be fair, if that was
my only experience that I would have had throughout my life,
that would have been enough. You know, it would have
been more than most people. However, you know, a bit

(03:41):
of my background is that I'm really curious about this
stuff and I've always just been fascinated by it, like
my whole life, to the point where, you know, a
few years down the road from that, back in twenty fourteen,
you know, I kind of messed up and found out

(04:02):
some information about a little thing called CE five, and
that put me basically on the road to having a
truck ton of experiences about way too many things. You know.
It starts off with essentially like an alien visiting me

(04:24):
in my driveway, and you know, and it goes on
from there for multiple years, you know, off Shadow figures, Bigfoot,
dog Man like, it runs the gambit, and I feel
like the amount of things that I've seen in experience.
At this point, I feel like I should have been
struck by lightning. You know. It's a little bit unlucky,

(04:48):
a little bit unlucky, but you know, in the end,
it did make me a much better persons and you know,
I grew from it a lot. And you know, now
because of all that, I try my best to help people.
So but with that being said, tonight we're gonna go
over some bigfoot stuff and hopefully I can make it

(05:12):
interesting for everybody. So the first one, now, typically speaking,
this is the story that I tell for comedic relief,
and it's a kind of that's kind of interesting, you know,
But I'll let you make the judgment call on that there, Vic.

(05:34):
But so essentially, one night when I was seventeen, all right,
young and dumb, running and gunn and and my dooporther
and I were on our way back from an illicit
run to get stuff, you could say, and it was

(05:56):
very late at night. We had not partaken in anything
yet and on our way back home, he has to
stop and go to the bathroom. Now this kind of
upsets me because I'm like, bro, We're ten miles away

(06:18):
from the house, Like, why are you going to endanger
the mission, like seriously, you know, He's like, dude, I
can't hold it. I'm like, okay, okay, you know, and
I'm thinking to myself, you know what, we're in the
middle of desolation. You know, it shouldn't be an issue.
But the problem is is we're fixing to go over

(06:39):
this bridge that's out here in the back backwoods of Fife, Alabama,
where I live, right, and its name is Methene's Bridge. Now,
I'll say that this bridge in the area around it
has a very long history of the paranormal. Now, granted,

(07:01):
plenty of bridges across the entire continental United States and
probably the world have probably the same thing going for it, right,
I'm sure, But now this bridge, it does have reported
bigfoot activity that goes all the way back to the

(07:22):
eighteen fifties. So there's that. There's like a ghost girl,
a ghost wolf, there's a goat man. There's all kinds
of stuff basically that goes on with it, and you know,
it's one of those things that teenagers go and do
crazy hygiens at anyways, just like other bridges, I'm sure,

(07:44):
but we're facing to go over this thing. So I'm like,
all right, I pull over. He gets out, he walks
to the back of the car and starts propping up
against it and let's are loose now. At this time,
I was kind of mean and wanted to mess with

(08:05):
him a little bit. So as he's going, I start
tapping my brakes and it upsets him. He's over there, quitted, dude.
I'm like, oh, don't worry about it. Ain't nobody gonna
see anything anyways. Brother, It's all good. Just to keep
on a going. And I'm just keeping on hammering on
those tail lights, just lighting them up, you know. I'm

(08:28):
having a good laugh about it. As he's over there,
quick come on, you know, and all of a sudden
he starts screaming bloody murder. I'm like, what in the
world is going on? You know. I turn and look
and he's like frog hoping kind of sideways and stuff
and trying to get himself adjusted. As he runs back

(08:50):
into the car, and he's just screaming his head off.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
And he jumps into the car. Hey's screaming, He's go go.
I'm like, oh my god, what is wrong with you?
You psycho?

Speaker 1 (09:07):
He's like, just go. You know, he's grabbing my hand
trying to get me to put the car in gear.
I'm just like, okay, okay, okay, we'll go. We'll go.
So we start going and he's still screaming. I'm like,
what's the problem. We're going and he's just losing his
mind over there. I'm like, dude, what in the world

(09:29):
is wrong with you? He looks at me. He's like
two things. Bro. One, I've zipped myself up and I'm
bleeding everywhere. And I look over and Lord bless his heart,
he's he's bleeding pretty good. He's staying in front of
his pants pretty hard. And I'm just like, oh, no, okay,

(09:55):
what's number Two. It was like, around the second or
third time that you hit the brake lights, I noticed
that there was something standing in front of me. I'm
like what. He's like, yeah, man, this thing was huge.
I'm like, well, describe it to me. He's like, well,

(10:16):
I mean this thing was like way taller than me,
way wider than me. And when you put on the brakes,
I'm just basically seeing the silhouette, you know, but it's
like ten feet away from me, and each time you
hit the brake lights, it lights its eyes up red.
I'm like, oh my gosh. Really He's like, yeah, man,

(10:40):
I'm like, what was it? And originally he's from Michigan,
so for him, he says it was Sam Squatch. I'm like, oh, okay, Bigfoot.
He's like yeah, man, and then he gets all bent
up and out of shape at me. He's like, dude,
you're a terrible friend. I'm a terrible friend. Were talked

(11:01):
about for all, you know, I just saved your life.
I was like, bro, Bigfoot could have reached out at
any time and grabbed you by the handle, and you
might be a eunuch right now. So I'm actually the
best friend in the world to you and saved you.
So you're welcome. So yeah, that's the funny Bigfoot story

(11:26):
that that's the one that should have basically ended everything
for me, you know, if things went according to normal.
But anyway, so after that, there's not much in the
way of Bigfoot for many a year after that, I

(11:50):
have one strange encounter that I'm not sure if it
was Bigfoot or if it was dog Man, just because
of the history of what happened or what has happened,
I would say on my family's land. But nonetheless, if

(12:11):
you remember last year, we had like this big o'
eclipse that happened right and the Thursday before I had
some crazy UFO stuff happened. You know. Even my sister,
who was living with my parents, who are my next
door neighbors at the time, you know, told me about

(12:32):
like way early in the morning, like a metal door
slamming and waking her up. And of course that's setting
off like alarm bells for me. And I actually go
out there take a picture through my weldinghood because I
am a welder and I have all that stuff at
home too. I take a picture of UFOs right by
the eclipse that's happening, and so there was all that

(12:57):
weird stuff going on on the property. But now on
the Sunday after that happened, because I believe that happened
on a Friday, But the Sunday after it happened, we
were having a family dinner, and after everything was all
said and done, we go outside to the backyard and

(13:21):
I start a little fire and we're just kind of
hanging out. And then once the family decides to leave,
you know, the wife and kid and everybody goes in,
and I'm just like, you know what, I've still got
some firewood left. I kind of don't want to waste it,
so I'm going to hang out here. You guys have
on bye. I love you. And as I'm hanging out,

(13:44):
I start to hear a noise and from my perspective,
it sounds like a giant stomp that's happening out in
the woods. Like that's weird, but you know, I'm rashalizing
it to myself. I'm like, well, okay, it's that can
be a distress signal for deer. You know, they'll they'll

(14:06):
do that to warn of predators or whatever. Plus you know,
the other neighbor on the other side, he's got cows.
Like maybe cow could do that, you know, because it
sounds like a fairly good way is a way, but
yet it's loud enough for me to hear and powerful

(14:28):
enough for me to feel. But I'm like, Okay, it's
just probably nothing. And then it happens again. This time
it's closer, you know, and I'm still rationalizing cow dear nothing. Yeah,
weird stuff happened the other day, don't think about it,
has nothing to do with something perfectly natural that's happening

(14:50):
out there. And that happens again, and this time it's closer,
and I'm just like, okay, I think that things are
starting to get a little real, because, like I mean,
it's like the t Rex in Jurassic Park when it

(15:13):
takes that step and the ripples go across the water, right,
because I feel it each and every time, and it's
getting louder and louder and louder. And then the last
time it does it, it sounds like it's coming from

(15:35):
the brush pile that's right to the lood of where
I'm sitting in my backyard, you know, and that's thirty
feet away from me. And this is when I stand up.
I'm like, and I start talking out loud. I'm like,
all right, all right, I don't know what's going on

(15:57):
over there, but I need you to chill. I'm not
playing this game today. And it was just the eeriest
thing because as soon as I said that, you got
to understand that in that brush pile, that brush pile
is created from where the wife and I had built

(16:18):
our own house, so there's wood and scraps of tin
and all that stuff in there. But as soon as
I get up and say that, all of a sudden,
you hear fingernails begin to scratch the tin and just
the most eerily possible way ever, it just just over

(16:42):
and over, like oh, I'm not stopping, and I'm just like,
oh God, here we go now. Also to understand is,
you know, like, after all the experiences that I've had
before all this happened, I've kind of got like a

(17:02):
special touch of PTSD at this point, and instead of
running away, I get angry and ready to fight, you know,
since I was able to kind of conquer all that
stuff that happened to me, now my automatic reaction is
to fight. And this is so dumb. I jump into

(17:28):
the side by side that I had parked next to me,
you know, I crank it, turn on all the lights,
all the big you know, bar lights and everything, and
I go right up to that rush pile and I'm
pointing right at it. And I'm not prepared to do anything,
Like I don't have a gun on me. I've only

(17:49):
got a machete that I was using to like get
some kindling off of the firewood to get it started,
you know. And I'm like hanging out of the side
by side holding the machete, screaming at this thing like
Zach Baggins or something like come at me, bro, come
at me, come on. You know. It was so dumb,

(18:12):
you know, but I was. I was just ready. You know,
it's fight or flight, and I'm in fight and I'm not.
I'm not having anything else, you know. Common sense is
not creeping into the situation yet. And I'm a Christian,
So while I'm taunting whatever this is, I'm also praying. Yeah,

(18:36):
and I kind of get like the overwhelming feeling, you know,
from the Holy Spirit, and it's just kind of like, hey, hey,
let's chill out just a little bit. You know, like
if you go past your property line, it might get
a little bit bad for you. You just need to
stay where you're at and just chill out, you know.

(19:00):
And I'm like in my head, like, are you sure
I think I got this? Granted, I don't know what
my plan is. Probably just to ram the side by
side out or you know, ran this thing with the
side by side jump out and go Stavvy Staddy with
a machete. Not gonna work out very well for me,
But I guess that's what's going through my head. But

(19:22):
you know, after all that, I'm just like, you know what,
You're right, just chill out, just go inside and everything
will be okay. And everything was okay. I turned around
and park the side by side and went in the house,
and I was just told them what happened. They're like what.

(19:44):
I'm like, yeah, probably don't go outside right now. It's
little Harry out there hunt intended. They're like, oh my god. Okay.
So basically I just grumble and growl and go lay
down and just decide to go to bed and get
up for work the next morning. So that's a little

(20:05):
bit of a preview about how I kind of come
about things when when danger decides to present itself and
be confrontational, you know, normally it doesn't go that way,
you know, but what it does, I'm ready. Like I said,
I'm a little special with that sometimes, so sorry. But anyways,

(20:32):
you know, like with that situation, I did not get
eyes on it. I don't know what it was. I
do know that it was not the cow because there's
you know, a fence in between us, plus I don't know,
one hundred yards or better between me and the neighbor,

(20:55):
plus the woods. Like i'd hear a cow coming without
an issue. A deer, yeah, I mean, deer could come up,
but once I start talking to whatever that thing is,
I don't see a deer rubbing its antler on tin
in a brush pile. I mean, that seems it seems

(21:16):
just a little bit too much intelligence for such a critter,
you know, bigfoot dog man. Don't know there has been
dog man that's been sighted before on our property. But
you know, without getting the visual on that thing, you know,

(21:38):
it's kind of a mystery other than just being a
big nuisance that I was just ready to try to
throw hands at. But anyways, so moving on down, I
guess what I'll do is I'll get into a little
bit of the bigfoot experiences that I've had while working

(22:02):
as a cameraman for Relic. Now, granted, you know, I
can only talk about the things that didn't make the
film that is about to be released soon. It'll be
called The Vanished. It'll be really cool. But everything that

(22:23):
didn't make the cut or didn't make the film, rather
I can talk about. So we go out there to
Georgia to do the first part of the film. Now
I am very green. This is my very first time

(22:45):
trying to operate a camera like this, and you know,
I'm very conscient to not mess this up for my
buddy Greg. You know, Greg golgles is the bomb. If
you guys don't know him, you guys should go check
him out. He's a really cool dude. He's had a
lot of experiences as well. But anyway, you know, I'm

(23:07):
We're out there and we do our first night investigation.
We have lots of interesting sounds happening out there in
the woods. We find some pretty large footprints, you know,
and things are going about like a classic Bigfoot expedition
like you would see on TV, would you know. And

(23:30):
I'm having a good time. I'm eating great at the campsite,
and everybody is cutting up and having fun during the day.
It's a great time. And I remember one night, we're
filming a large fireside chat. Now Greg, he's got all

(23:52):
his lights out here, you know, got this place lit
up like Christmas. I mean, you could see us probably
from miles and miles away, and he's in the fireside
chat and he's kind of orchestrating things as they go,
and my job is to just monitor the cameras, make

(24:14):
sure that I can still see you know, the mic volumes,
like registering, and make sure that nothing dies and all
that so should be super easy. And like before all this,
you know, we're kind of given the briefing of hey,

(24:34):
bigfoot does come into camp and mess with your tents
a lot here, so you know, like that's fresh on
my mind. And as I'm standing there monitoring everything, I
start hearing footsteps approaching us. You know it's coming from
behind me, and you know that's setting off alarm bells

(24:58):
in my head. I'm just like, oh, no, I do
believe something's coming up. And what you got to understand
is like we're like at super high elevations here in Georgia.
I don't know the exact number, but you know, like
not too far past camp is essentially like a cliff,

(25:21):
you know. I mean it's sheer in some places, but
probably eighty degrees at best and others, and you know,
to be approaching from that way is not an easy feat.
But I start hearing the footsteps. You know, there's another

(25:43):
cliff that's above us, and it sounds like it's coming
from that way and that that mountain side isn't so bad,
and I'm just like, Okay, something's coming in. You know.
It's just big, heavy, heavy footsteps. So I'm like, oh, goody, goody,

(26:05):
goody goody. What am I supposed to do? What am
I supposed to do? And this thing keeps on getting
closer and closer, and you know what's going through my
head is I don't want to mess up the shot.
You know, this is my first time. The storyboard is
the storyboard, like, you know, that is what has to happen.

(26:29):
I can't mess this up or let anything else mess
this up. So I'm like, oh wait, I know what
to do. So I slowly walk over to the trailer
and grab my spotlight. Now, my spotlight has a spotlight
on one end and like a little light panel on
the other. You can find them on Amazon or Timu

(26:49):
or whatever. You guys could well know what I'm talking
about if you look. But the thing is really bright.
So I'm like, okay, So I grab that. I hook
a little small tripod to the bottom of it, and
I put it facing you away from the scene and
towards where this thing is walking, and turn on just

(27:09):
the light panel. That shouldn't mess up any of the
balance settings on the camera or interfere with anything, right,
So I just I turn that on, face it back there,
you know, just enough for this thing to be like,
oh it sees me. Okay. So when I did this,

(27:29):
I hear it stop and then run down the trail
to where the cliff and drop off are, and I
hear the rocks of scuttling, you know, as it makes
its way down very quickly. So I'm like, all right, cool,
problem solved. Everything's good. This is going to be an

(27:52):
interesting story to talk about once they're done. So I'm
thinking nothing about it, and all of a sudden, I
start hearing rocks again, as if something is coming back
up the cliff, but this time it's gone. If I'm

(28:12):
looking at where it came at at twelve o'clock, it's
all of a sudden coming up over here at nine
o'clock on the other side of the ridge, And I'm like,
are you serious? This thing is that determined? And I
hear it go up and it makes it over and

(28:33):
this time it's coming a lot slower, and the brush
over there makes it sound like it's crawling. This time,
I'm like, okay, surely to God, it's just gonna find
a good spot, not get that close. It's probably just

(28:55):
curious about all the lights and good smells, right, But
it doesn't stop like it keeps coming closer and closer,
and all of a sudden, I'm starting to see, you know,
brush moving, and I'm like, is this really happening? So

(29:19):
I start, you know, kind of leaning to try to
get a good vantage point and still stay out of frame.
And I start to see what looks like a shadow
crawling along the ground. And it comes right up to
the other side of our friend's camper and it's just

(29:41):
hanging out right there, right next to the wheel, you know,
and I'm crouching down I can I can just barely
make out the black shape of this thing. You know,
There's there's not much that I can see, like maybe
like the smallest part of a shoulder and like half
of a head. But you know, it's pitch black outside

(30:06):
that all these lights are over here. You know, all
I'm seeing is just a shadow. Granted it's a large shadow.
But this thing is I don't know, thirty forty feet
away from me, you know, and probably about the same
distance to the fire and where the filming is going on.

(30:27):
And I'm panicking. I'm like, Okay, what am I supposed
to do here? I don't want to mess this up,
you know, I have one job to do make sure
this goes off without a hitch, you know, And I
start praying, like what do I need to do? Yeah,
it's just like, ah, just go walk out there, like really,

(30:49):
It's like, yeah, okay, fine, do you say so? So
I start to walk slowly and quietly, ninja if you will,
and I get halfway between where I was and where
it's at, so it's maybe twenty feet away. And then

(31:11):
all of a sudden, from what would now at this
point be my six o'clock where the original larger ridge
that kind of overlooks where we are is at, I
hear something throw a big old rock, and you hear

(31:31):
the rock just come crashing through the tree limbs and
all that hit the ground bounce and roll down the hill.
And as soon as that thing hit the rock, the
shadow on the other end jumps up and just runs
down that ridge as fast as it can. You hear
rocks are going and everything. It's just going fast, just

(31:55):
trying to haul butt out of there and get out,
you know, before it gets seen. Which is interesting. You know,
I only thought that there was just the one, but
apparently there was another one way up there. Do an
overwatch on it, you know, and giving it a signal
like hey, it's time to go. So, you know, I

(32:18):
was like, oh, okay, well awesome, that worked out great,
you know, and I didn't have an issue with it
for the rest of the night. You know. They get
done with their thing and I start talking Greg. I'm like, bro,
this is what just happened. And his reaction was hilarious.
He's like, dude, next time, just let it come on

(32:40):
and wander into frame. Make for great TV. And it
was like, oh, you know what, You're right. That is
kind of what we're out here doing, isn't it. It's like, yeah, like, oh, sorry,
I panicked. I didn't want to mess up this storyboard

(33:01):
script filming. Like sorry. It's like nah, yeah, it's cool.
Maybe it'll happen again, Like yeah, maybe, okay.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
So so I.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Believe it's the next night after this, and at this
point we're going to go to a different location and
we're driving there and they're this is right after I

(33:40):
want to say, the hurricane or yeah, the hurricane there
in North Carolina, Carolina Heleen and all that. So there
was like a lot of people that had come over
to Georgia to camp and just kind of be out
there since it's you know, free to camp out there
and stuff like that, and wait for all that to

(34:00):
blow past. So every single site that was like normally
open was just filled up. So we go try to
drive to another one, same situation, and we're really frustrated, like,
oh my gosh, like I don't know that this is

(34:25):
going to be able to happen, you know, and we're
talking about it. I'm in the back seat of the
jeep as we're going down this windy dirt road there
the mountains, and all of a sudden, to the right,

(34:45):
this big, large black figure runs up the real steep embankment.
I mean, this thing is seventy degrees or more. I
don't know how tall, but I mean it just comes
booking it up. That thing runs across the road right
in front of us. I mean, we got this thing

(35:07):
full on in the headlights, crosses the road and there's
another embankment to go back up, and this one's a
little bit less. I mean, it's like sheer like because
the road is kind of cut in, so it's like
sheer for about maybe six foot or so, and then
it goes up to like another sixty to seventy degree

(35:27):
embankment up into the woods. We slam on the brakes
and we're just like, oh my gosh, what was that,
you know, And it was so fast, like I don't
know how fast, but I mean, it was just mind
bogglingly fast. This thing came out on all fours. But

(35:53):
you know, it's it wasn't running like a normal animal,
like like its arms were out to the side, kind
of like if you were doing like push ups or something.
It was running like that, and I remember like it's

(36:14):
but was slightly up almost I guess you'd say, kind
of like in bear crawl position. You know. I remember
its legs being kind of the way like it moved
like that. I don't know a great way to describe it.
Maybe if you were sitting in like an office chair

(36:37):
with wheels and you were trying to push yourself to
go fast and zoom across the floor. It was kind
of like that same motion, I guess would be the
best way I can picture it. And you know, since
it's in the in the in the headlights, you know,

(36:57):
like I said, I can we can see all the
details of this thing. It's black fur, I mean, and
it's a very strange color of black. You know, it's
like it's like it's almost absorbing the light in a
strange way. It's the flattest black that I've ever seen.

(37:21):
And its hair is thick in some places, but like
I remember specifically like its arms, and part of it's
like maybe like the top top ish half of its
upper torso it was more sparse. I mean I could
see through the hair and see almost ash colored skin.

(37:43):
And its head was down as it ran. Now, its
head was pointed in a slight way. I mean, it
wasn't dramatic, but I mean it definitely had a point
to it. And you know, with the speed of this thing,
you know, your brain really doesn't have a time to

(38:05):
process it. You know. My first thought was is that
a bear? I mean, I know there's bear out here,
but what was that? I mean, it was big, you know,
And we stopped the car and we get out, you know,
we both we all got like flashlights shining up to
the woods. You know, we're trying to find this thing
because normally, like a black bear when it's running would

(38:29):
only run so far before it would like stop and
like go up a tree and kind of turn around
assess the situation. Normally, but that didn't happen at all.
It just kept on running, like we could hear this
thing running across the top of that mountain and it
was just so fast. I mean, I don't know how

(38:52):
long or how wide rather that mountain area is, but
it seems like it just cleared that thing and seconds,
you know, we're just blown away, like what in the
world is that that's there? It couldn't have been a bear,
you know. So then we're like, oh, wait, hold on,
we have this you know, cut out here in the

(39:14):
road before it hits that embankment. Let's go look at
where this thing went up. So we're looking and there's
these really strange handprints. It looks like this thing is
running on its knuckles, kind of like a gorilla, only
its middle finger is jutting out. So we're looking at thinking, okay,

(39:40):
if it's a bear, there's gonna be claw marks and
all that, like, okay, you know, the size wise is
kind of close, but it looks like somebody running on
their knuckles just with the middle finger out, you know.
And you see multiples as it went up, like okay,
that's weird. Keep looking and lo and behold, we find

(40:02):
a footprint too. You know, I believe it was eighteen inches.
I can't remember off the top of my head, but
it was still real good size, and you know, it's
classic Bigfoot. So we're looking at the footprint and you
know it's classic Bigfoot. There's five toes, well defined heel.
You know, even has like the whole mid tarsel break

(40:24):
thing going on. Like it's it's classic. It's eighteen inches
long or so, it might be a little more. I
can't remember exactly. You know it'll be in the film.
But we're just like, holy crap, this thing just ran
out in front of us.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
You know.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
And h Craig's oxide, He's like, awesome, did you catch that.
I'm like, what do you mean? Like, yeah, I saw obviously.
It's like no, we shouldn't be rolled from the back seat.
I'm like no, and he's like, oh no, we had
the Bigfoot film footage of the century. You weren't rolling

(41:07):
b roll. I was like, no, man, I asked you
earlier about b roll and you told me we had
all the b roll we needed. I didn't think that.
I think this was the situation for it. You know,
just catch us getting off frustrated about everybody camping out here.
All of a sudden, He's like, oh, man, like, yeah,

(41:30):
I'm sorry, bro, that's my bad. I was like, nah,
it's my bad too. I should have told you. It's
like eh kind of but I'll take the blame. Like
I said, my very first time out there filming, and
I made a couple of mistakes, but it was really
really impressive. You know, I see that thing in my

(41:52):
brain right now. I mean it's just burned in there,
just like everything else that I've seen and experienced. And
I really wish I could explain how fast that thing was,
Like I can't emphasize that enough. It was just so fast.
All right. So anyways, after that, we go and we

(42:18):
film the second half, and I'm trying to think, as
far as I know, I don't believe there's anything that
I can talk about that happened with the second half
of that just yet. But once it does, I'll be
happy to once it airs. In other words, but so

(42:44):
that happens, We're out there and the Smokies this time
for about a week, and I get back and you know,
it's a great time, had a lot of fun. And
then when I get home, though, if lets me know,
she's like, Hey, we're going to go back out to
the Smokies in two weeks. Uh. Me and some friends

(43:06):
from work are going to go on vacation and yeah, like, oh, okay,
go back to Tennessee. That's cool. What are we doing?
You know? And she tells me the notinerary or whatever.
And on one of the days, now, we're going to Dollywood.
And I hate roller coasters, like I absolutely hate them,

(43:32):
you know, when we go to amusement parks or whatever,
Like I'm the pack mule. I carry all the stuff
and the only thing that I look forward to the
entire day is eating a giant smoke turkey leg like
that's my payment. But I'm like, hey, wait, now we
got your work friends coming with us, right, She's like yeah,

(43:55):
Like so I technically don't have to go to that.
Like I can go to the Tennessee and do all that,
but I don't have to go to Dollywood, right. It's
just like, yeah, I guess, like awesome, I have other plans.
So I call up my good buddy Harley Owens. I'm like, hey,

(44:18):
I've got a day to kill. You want to go
out squatching in the woods? And He's like heck yeah.
So I'm like, all right, it's when I get you know,
the what little equipment I have and meet it up
with him and we go out to the woods and
you know, we had a great time. And like I said,

(44:40):
you know, that film that I shot is on my
YouTube channel. You guys can go check it out. We
had a lot of experiences, you know. It's it's one
of the old research areas of Scott Carpenter, So I
mean there's already an established history out there, and we

(45:00):
go out there and I am just blown away by
the amount of sign that is out there that's close
to the car, like when I park. I mean we're
not even a thousand yards in and there's just tree

(45:22):
structures everywhere. There is prints everywhere, Like the very first
one we saw was perfectly defined. We casted it. You know,
if you go and see him at like a conference
or something, you can see the cast that we made.
You know, it was so impressive to see how much

(45:47):
stuff was out there, and you know, going into it,
the tree structure thing, you know, I didn't really think
much of it. To me. It was more like you know,
windfall and prepubescent teens out there being bored and practicing bushcraft,

(46:10):
you know that that's what I chalked up to. I
didn't really put any stock into it, you know, but
by the end of the trip, I definitely changed my
mind a lot, because we're out there and you know,
we're going and looking at all these things. You know,
as I scrub through the footage, I find some great

(46:32):
stuff that's you know, we didn't see that's sitting there
watching us. And you know, I'm blown away enough by that.
Some of these tree structures we go and look at.
You know, we've got emf meters out and these things spike,
you know, anywhere from sixty to like I believe the

(46:56):
highest one was in like the mid to upper eighties.
And granted like that, there's there's nothing power source wise
anywhere out there. It's desolation, there's nothing that we're having
these crazy EMF spikes and it was just insane. And

(47:19):
we saw so many footprints, you know, I eventually just
stopped recording them. I'm like, oh, look another print, Oh
look another print. You know, it's just everywhere. These things
are just running around out there, and it was just
it was blowing my mind. And one thing that I
did notice too, about a lot of these prints is

(47:42):
that you know, like they would be in the strangest
and most obscure and hard to walk in places off
of the trail. You know, like it just didn't make
sense if you're gonna walk through the woods. These things

(48:03):
seem to be taking the hardest route possible to get
from point A to point B. Now, granted, you know,
as we're walking out there, I mean we're pretty loud.
I mean it's you know, march in smoky mountains. Plenty
of the leaves are down. I could hear us coming
from a mile away. But later on, when we when

(48:24):
these things actually come and start to make themselves known,
and we physically lay eyeballs on them, like we see them,
and I'm doing everything I can to record them, it's
just silent. You don't have much warning. It was so strange.

(48:44):
Now further on, we're like sitting on a ridge. You know,
this is about the halfway point, and before I start recording,
you know, we were sitting on this ridge hanging out
for a half hour, and we start having rock clacking
going on pretty much all around us. I mean, these

(49:07):
things pretty much have us backing. And one little observation
I'll point out is that this place is just loaded
with granite. And if I'm not missed, wait is it granite?
I think it's granted anyways, you know piso electricity, the

(49:29):
ones that you put pressure on and its sparks. I
believe that's granted. I could be wrong, but you guys
know what I mean, right, No, no, no, no, I'm sorry,
not granted. Quartz. This place is littered with quartz rock.
There's quarts all over the trails and just giant boulders

(49:50):
of the stuff just everywhere. And we're thinking that these
things are clacking together, this quartz, and that might account
for some of the strange emf things that's going on,
and you know, it's very unsettling. I'll also point out

(50:11):
that my cord that I was using for my lab
mics to go into my phone would start to mess
up at times like I didn't know it at the time,
but like when I listened back to the footage, like
you'd hear like this rustling, ecstatic kind of noise of

(50:31):
interference going on. And when that would happen, it wouldn't
be a couple seconds later that normally it would be
hardly he would grab out his EMF meter and check it.
I mean, it was almost like clockwork. It was so strange.
I don't know if it's a you know, the natural

(50:54):
body just kind of feeling that and you know, like
being tuned into it enough to put to the point
where we think just randomly, now is a good time
to check. I don't know, but I know that, you know,
the whatever it was that was going on, it completely
torched that cable. Like I had to buy a new one.

(51:15):
I tried fixing it with a ground loop isolator and
all kind of stuff. Yeah, no, that things just it
got burnt, slap up. But anyways, we're sitting here on
this ridge and we're boxed off. We're listening. You know,
it's it's dead silent. There's no birds, crickets whatever, and

(51:40):
alls we hear is just rock clacking, and it would
pick up over here, then it'd go over here, you know,
six nine twelve, Like it was just kind of surrounding us,
and I'm just like, okay, well they definitely know we're here,
and it's getting kind of interesting, and we start to

(52:02):
see one for sure, but we feel like two across
the ridge from us, right across the stream, you know,
we kind of see like a half face poking out
like okay, okay, trying to start rolling camera right. So

(52:24):
and I do my best to scan this thing, and
once I can get the camera out, this thing just
wants to start getting a little elusive. However, I was
able to catch it, so it's there in the footage
and you guys can let me know what you think
of it. But anyway, so that goes on for a

(52:46):
good little while. And keep in mind also it's you know,
it's March. It's an overcast day. You know, the temperature
is in the sixties. And I decide to get the
EMF meter and see what's going on and see if

(53:09):
I can't get something, you know, anomalous happen happening while
this is going on, and I'm not registering much on mine.
But I was like, oh wait a second, I wonder
if I do this, And it has another feature where
I can check the temperature. So I put it on
the temperature and I'm sitting here watching it, you know,

(53:33):
and it's showing the temperature. It's like sixty two, sixty three,
you know, sun's not out, it's overcast. And then all
of a sudden, this thing starts spiking again, and it
goes all the way up into like the mid eighties
and temperature like, what this is weird? Now? Granted this

(53:56):
is after I put the phone down, so you know,
if you want to take the opinion, if he didn't
catch it on film, it didn't happen. That's fine. I
get it. I understand how this all works. But you know,
if I'm lying, I'm dying, y'all. But that's what happens.
And I'm just like, wow, okay, you know, and immediately
I'm thinking about like ghost type situations, right, like you

(54:20):
see a ghost and the temperature drops. Well, I mean, okay,
we got Bigfoot and the opposite is happening. I don't
know what that means. Yeah, I'm thinking. I mean, like,
the best thing that I can kind of come up
with on it is I think it's the law of
thermo dynamics, like when you use energy, heat as created, right,

(54:43):
And I'm wondering, like with all the rock clacking that's
happening with these quartz rocks, you know, if they're not
generating enough electricity that all of a sudden, I'm able
to register it as heat in our area. I don't
no I'm grasping at straws here. I don't have a clue.

(55:03):
I just know that was really weird, So like, okay,
don't know what's happening, but weird. But eventually things kind
of chill out and there's not much going on, so
we're like, okay, well, we have been originally came down
here to find this cage that was out here in

(55:25):
the middle of the woods that a hiker had reported
and we wanted to like find that, so that was
like our goal for the day. And we noticed it
over there to our left. It's like, okay, well, let's
go check it out and see what this is all about.
And as we're walking to it, all of a sudden,
another one, another bigfoot runs out from behind the laurels

(55:52):
and runs across, jumps over the stream, and books it
up the hill. And all the while we're scrambling trying
to get the cameras on this thing, you know, and
I remember Harley he zooms in with his phone and
his iPhone, you know, granted it's an older model, but

(56:13):
at least it was at the time. You know, it
goes straight to pixelation. You know, I'm zooming in with mine.
I've got an iPhone fifteen Promax. I'm zooming in as
far as I can, trying to catch this thing, and
it's not working great. I'm picking up more foliage that's

(56:34):
in front of it rather than it, you know, because
it did stop halfway on its run, and it's like
hanging out from beside a tree kind of looking at us,
and I'm just doing everything I can, like I'm propping
on the tree. I'm trying to keep as stable as
I can, and it's just not picking it up great.
It's just picking up the foliage in front of it. Granted,

(56:57):
on the dock you can see it like it there's
a slight picture. It's more of like a brownish colored one.
And also it is like another interesting aside. There's like
within the frame that I catch and show on that
there's also like the craziest paradolia that's happening. And it

(57:17):
looks like a giant green face that's over here next
to this thing, and that's super disconcerting because I mean
it looks like a big foot face. I mean, it's
it's crazy. I mean, you got to look at it.
It's really really interesting, but can't catch it. And then
all of a sudden, you know, these thing's just gone.

(57:38):
You know, it runs across you know, it kind of
hits diagonal to the point like where it kind of
keeps along like the line of the laurels, and then
it goes back up the ridge. You know, we can't
see it, and it's real thick over there on that
other side. You know, we're we're looking around trying to
find it, and it's yeah, it's not coming back. It's
it's gone, like all right, so we just keep on. Now.

(58:02):
The cool thing was is we went up to the
stream to where it kind of had crossed at and
we did have like a sliding footprint of that big foot, right,
so we catch like, you know, a really good impression
of a heel and stuff as it's on the bank,
and then the rest of the other half of the
foot is in the stream. So that's there, and let's

(58:30):
see here what else is good to tell for time
wise with the rest of that expedition. I don't want
to give everything away because I'd really like it if
you guys went out and watched it. Okay, yeah, here
we go. All right, So on the second half of

(58:50):
this little trip that we do out there, this documentary,
if you will. We get back from lunch and we
go to a second site and we're like, okay, let's
hike back there and try to recreate this the best
we can, you know. So we start walking to the

(59:11):
end of the trail, you know, along the line, we're
seeing the same thing. We're seeing tree structures, footprints, you know,
and they're putting off the MF like, okay, it's as neat,
seems like we're in a good spot. We find a
good hill once we get back there, and we just
sit back to back. This time. We're not out there

(59:32):
long and then all of a sudden, something starts coming
up on him and he's wearing MicroPro on his head
and he's watching it for a good minute, and I
am able to catch it on the footage, granted, you know,
I mean I have to like kind of slow it

(59:53):
down and zoom in and show everybody, but you can
see it. You can see what he's looking at. And
while that's going on for him, you know, I'm not
really concerned with what's happening in front of me, because
the best thing I found over there was a rabbit.
But where he's sitting at there's there's another mountain beside

(01:00:19):
where he is looking at. I guess it is the
best way you could say it. And from his vantage point,
he really wouldn't be able to see around it. But
if I turn my neck as far as I can
and practically break it, you know, my neck is hurting
while I'm doing it, I can see around it a
decent bit and all there is back there is just laurels.

(01:00:44):
But I see a large dark shape at the top
of the laurels, and I'm like, what in the world.
You know, I'm looking at it best I can, and
it looks like, you know, it's like chest up up
basically a very large bigfoot. Well I say large now

(01:01:05):
because of hindsight. You know, at the time, I was
thinking maybe that's a small one. You know, I'm thinking
maybe that was the one we saw earlier. And you know,
I see this thing pretty pretty well. It's not great because,
like I said, I'm in pain trying to look, and

(01:01:25):
you know, it's kind of like chest up. I see
like broad shoulders, no neck. I mean, it's like it's
just all trap and then you know ahead and that's
slightly pointed. I'm like, huh okay. I was like all right,
that's definitely a bigfoot. He can't see it. So I'm like,

(01:01:46):
all right, so I'm gonna start trying to turn slowly
so I don't spook it or whatever. And you know,
once I start to move, it's like it's the Homer
Simpson meme, right, Like it just fades into the bush,
it just disappears into the laurels. I'm like, okay, well,

(01:02:11):
I guess that's a no go, you know. And by
this time, the one that Harley was watching is gone.
So we're like, all right, well that just happened. I
think we ought to go down there and see what
we can find. Yeah, So we get down there. We're
looking around, you know, and I'm I'm we don't really

(01:02:36):
see a whole lot of sign of what he was watching.
It didn't seem like it was very large. It was
definitely one of the smaller ones. But I tell him
about mine that I was looking at, and he's like, well, okay,
let's go over to that side of the hill and look.
So we do, and you know, I describe what I saw.

(01:03:00):
We get right up to the laurels, and you know,
Harley is like six or five or so, you know,
and reaching his hand all the way up it's like
eight foot, you know, and he goes and stands next
to the laurel and this thing is, you know, much

(01:03:20):
bigger than that, obviously, because his hand doesn't really hardly
come to the top of the laurels, so it had
to be at least over eight foot. I don't know
how much, but you know, this thing had to be
quite large. She's like, oh, okay, well that kind of

(01:03:41):
changes the way I feel about this a little bit.
And you know, as we're kind of like talking about
it and trying to find something going on there, all
of a sudden, we hear a roar come through the

(01:04:02):
woods and it sounds like it's a good way as
a way, but it's just so powerful. Like I feel
like the chest capacity on this thing just had to
be huge to be able to produce this noise. And granted,

(01:04:24):
like I've I've been looking into this stuff for many
years now, I've heard plenty of supposed Bigfoot vocalizations and
dog man vocalizations, and I've heard plenty, and this just
sounds like something that I've just never heard before. I
have no idea what it is. I mean, it's just powerful.

(01:04:46):
I mean it hits you like a shock wave as
it just rolls through the forest and we're just like,
oh my gosh, what was that? You know? And granted,
for all I know this thing was a tea, you know,
I have no clue, but I'm just like, look, I
don't know what that is, but I know that I

(01:05:08):
want no part of that because wow. And he's like, yeah,
that was intense, you know. And the unfortunate part is
I'm only out there with little livelier mics, you know.
And I boosted the audio up as much as I
possibly could on my editing software, and like with headphones on,

(01:05:31):
I can just ever so barely hear it. But if
you're if you're listening to it at that point, probably
like on the TV or a phone, I doubt you will,
but you might if you put on headphones and I
queue it up in the screen, like you know, you'll
have ample warning if you want to try and make
the attempt. But I do know that, like you know,

(01:05:53):
as I was editing it with headphones turned all the
way up on the computer, I could just barely make
it out. Needless to say, I did invest in a
shotgun mic after that, so next time I'll have it handled.
But you know, so anyways, I guess to round it out,

(01:06:13):
you know, like as we're getting ready to kind of
leave that area, we kind of decided to look at
one of these trees that are out there, because there's
weird looking pine trees, I think, is what they were.
That looked like they were kind of like busted out

(01:06:34):
to the side, like they were kind of frilled out.
I guess it's the best way I could say to
put it. Like, they looked very strange, and you know,
we decided to look at one of them, and as
we look into it, we realize that there's hair all

(01:06:59):
in this thing, real long, coarse black hair, Like wow,
I think there might be a little bit of something
going on here. I mean, we kind of look at
it one way it's black, we look at it another way.
It's like a reddish hue. Very strange, very strange. But yeah,

(01:07:22):
you'll be able to see all that on my channel
if you want to check it out. And I don't
want to sell everything that's or tell you guys everything
that's on it, you know, I want to give you
a little bit of meat on the bone. But you know,
the moral of the story was it was a great time.
You know, we had a lot of activity. I was
blown away, you know, and I promise you I'm as

(01:07:45):
professional as it gets. There's no faking, there's no hoaxing,
there's none of that going on. We saw what we
saw and if I'm lying, I'm dying. So with all
that being said, I believe that's all the Bigfoot that
I've got to talk about for now.

Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
Well, those are a lot of experiences there, Jim, you've
been busy. It really makes you wonder what's next.

Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
Yeah. I have started filming Enigma too, so that has
started this time. I'm going to be in a bank
head forest in Alabama. So I just got done with
that actually on this past weekend. So I haven't got
to go through the footage yet. I'm not exactly entirely
sure what's all there, but hopefully it'll be a good

(01:08:36):
one too.

Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
Well, we've got a good man on the job when
it comes to producing that, so I'm sure that's going
to turn out well. I really am. For anyone listening
to tonight's show who would like to contact you about
a pure normal experience they've had to either try to
get help from you, or if they want to be
a guest on your show. What's the best way for

(01:08:58):
them to do that?

Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
Right? So, I'm really easy to find on Facebook, I'm
I mean, you can shoot me a message. I'm really
fast at getting back in touch with you on that.
You can email me at so my gmail if you
would like to get a hold of me that way.
For the show, it is Fisher of Spams with an

(01:09:24):
S Nights with an S watch at gmail dot com.

Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
Well, that makes it easy, and of course I'll put
that in the description for tonight's show. That'll make it
even easier yet. But having said that, thanks again so
much for coming on and sharing all those experiences with this, Jim,
I really appreciate it, and of course telling us about
your podcast. I hope it does really well.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
I hope so too. Man, If I can help one person,
then you know what it's worth it, because nothing makes
me sadder then to hear that somebody had an experience
and now they're afraid to go back into the woods.
They're afraid to go fishing or hunting, you know, like,
don't let these things, you know, rob you of your

(01:10:11):
joy of life, you know, going out there and experience
God's creation, enjoy yourself, have fun, be mindful, yes, but
don't let anything defeat you. So you know that's my goal,
that's what I want to do.

Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
Well, that's awfully admirable. Very few people would care enough
to even take a stand on that and try to help,
so I'm definitely impressed. Like I said, Jim, thanks again
so much for your time and have a great night.

Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
