Speaker 1 (00:14):
Coming to you live from the Cross Country Mortgage Campus
in Barrie, Ohio. This is Cleveland Browns Daily on eight
fifty ESPN Cleveland, presented by bally Bett Sportsbook, an official
sports betting partner of your Cleveland Browns. Please bet responsibly.
Here are your hosts, Bo Bishop and Nathan Zigura.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
All right, let's go live on a football Friday edition
of Cleveland Browns Daily. I am merely Bo. You will
hear from the Great Z momentarily across the pond in London.
Of course, it is the Browns, It is the Vikings.
It is nine thirty Sunday morning in London Town. It
is the debut of Dylan Gabriel, his first start in
the NFL after sixty plus starts in a college career.

(01:01):
You will get your look at him on Sunday morning
in London, and we will get you set for that
game as only we can. Z Egos one on one
with running back coach Duke Daley coming up in about
fifteen minutes from now. How are those young backs who
are going to be relied upon and leaned upon Bigley
on Sunday going to respond against a very good Vikings defense.

(01:23):
Speaking of Dylan Gabriel. He met with the media today
over in London. You will hear what he had to
say on the brink of making his first start in
the National Football League. At four o'clock, we go behind
enemy Lines with Matthew Koller. He is an insider with
the Vikings at Purple Insider and everything else you've come
to know and love about. A football Friday edition of
Cleveland Browns Daily gets your over unders, your scores, your

(01:45):
keys to victory. It is all ahead of you right now, though,
Let's head to London. Where's ze and Andrews Ciciliana. We're
standing by.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Thanks Bo. Great to check in with you from across
the pond with my good friend. I'm good friend, introduced
Sicilly and that's right, and uh Andrew. Practice today a
little bit of rain, the full London experience now a
nice mist we'll call it a mist out there as
the Brown's got today, you know, a typical normal Friday

(02:15):
practice getting ready for this game with the Minnesota Vikings.
Seems like everybody's having a good time out here and
good day of work out there.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yeah, good day of work.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
And then after that day of work, the guys have
a little bit of time to get into the city.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Today.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
I was talking to Mason Graham.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
He said he and a bunch of d linemen are
going to go into town.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I said, what are you gonna do?

Speaker 5 (02:32):
He's like, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Like it was kind of like the little kid to
see what the big with the big kids, Like what
the big kids take take me to see? I said,
you want to see like Big Ben, Parliament, the London
Eye all that. He's like, I want to see Big Ben.
I said, you're going to do one of the corny
pictures where like you're holding your your hand up or
your finger on Toddy's aye.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Maybe I don't know, but yeah, they're.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
They're going to get some free time today. So that's
kind of cool. But you know, Kevin told him like
still a business trip, very much a business trip as
it is, and today was a normal Friday. I think everyone,
whether it was Mason or Dylan, Gabriel or Miles, everyone
kind of had the same message. This felt like a
normal Friday, just you know, in the middle of the
English countryside in the rain.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
And from an injury standpoint, this is a Browns team
that it feels like is getting a little healthier. Greg
Newsome and Jack Conklin both listed as questionable. I think
there's a lot of optimism not only that Greg will
continue to play, but that Jack Conklin could return to
the lineup this week, which I think would be huge.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
It would be massive, especially considering right tackle left handed quarterback.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Now that's massive.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Joel said yesterday that he has never, as far as
he could remember, even going back to high school, ever
played with a left handed quarterback. I mean, there are
legitimate questions about what a left handed offense looks here
with Dylan Gabriel, and to have your right tackle, or
let's just say, one of your better offensive lineman that
you've been relying on badly small pros to have him

(03:57):
out there would be huge.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
On the other side of things, Vikings not nearly as
healthy for the Browns. They have already ruled out this tackle.
Donovan Jackson, center, Ryan Kelly backup center, Michael Jurgens, quarterback
JJ McCarthy, right tackle, and former Pro bowler Brian O'Neill
and Andrew Van Ginkel. So this is an offensive line
now that is down four of their top offensive linemen,

(04:25):
and this is a game where the Browns defensive line,
you feel like has got to feast, has got to dominate.
And now we know they're going to start somebody at center.
My guess is who has probably not played center.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
They've been basically taking auditions tryouts for center this week
on the road with practice squad guys.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Yeah, and they brought the practicequid as the Browns did,
and they're taken. They're taking auditions here and it's out center.
They're going to be able to just get us now.
They can fly somebody here. I suppose if they wanted
to sign somebody the fifty three, but that's going to
be no practice.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yeah, not gonna have that.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
That horse has left, That ship has sailed. Sales train
has left the state, Yes it has. We had a
good time on the train last night. It should be
noted as well. Miles says he is good to go.
H Obviously there was an issue with him this week.
He practiced today and he said that there was never
a doubt he was going to play, and he said
of the podium that they would have to kill him
to keep.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Him out of this game.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
His words, Well, one person that a lot of the
guys on this team are excited to see, including Miles
Garrett Is quarterback Dylan Gabriel Miles said earlier today runs
the offense like it's his offense. That's all you can
ask for. I'm looking forward to him doing the same
on Sunday. You hear a lot of things competitive prepared.
They're excited to see Dylan Gabriel mobile, and hopefully that
will help after you know what we've seen over the

(05:40):
first four weeks. Again, none of this was not all
Joe Flacco's fault. That's just not all football league is
that that's the easiest switch to make to try to
jumpstart this offense. And so Dylan's going to get that opportunity.
Now his parents will not be in attendance. Dylan's saying
his dad, fun fact that his dad needs to get
a passport.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Fun fact dad doesn't have a passport. He said short
notice first of all, obviously finding out Tuesday and Wednesday
whenever it was yep that it was going to be
a short notice. To try to get international airfare on
two day's notice ain't cheap, and so they decided against it,
and then he threw and yet fun fact dad doesn't
have a passport. Also, fun fact eleven hour time difference

(06:17):
to Hawaii, so this game will kick at three thirty
in the morning local for his family.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
He said that.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
They're kind of used to it when he played at UCFEP,
but this is an additional five hours beyond that, and
so this game will He said it because someone asked
him what's the time difference, because you know, I haven't
even really thought about that, and then someone did the
math and said, okay, it's eleven, So it's going to
be three thirty in the morning for his family to
watch this game.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
And that is a lot of dedication. We did not
see that time, even though we were five hours ahead.
We were able to Yeah, well, actually you may have
seen three thirty in the morning is today, he was
interrupted in. So we had a great meal last night. Great,
oh wish you were there.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Yes, and not like you know, crazy party, just a
great meal with the hot.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
The greatest pint of guinness in London we had.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
We had a great pint of guinness before the Devonshire
and soho before the meal. Anyway, great meal. We made
it back. You and I in adventure getting an uber
all the way out here to the sticks. But we
did it. And then yes, I had one of those
wake up at three in the morning, as we all
have in a hotel room, try to find your way
to the bathroom. Then when you get back in bed,
like I can't sleep because you ordered. So I was

(07:27):
trying to describe it earlier today. It was it was delicious.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
We all all ordered all effort.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
You know when when Fred Flintstone has the giant Brontosaurus
thing dropped on top of his car. That's the size
of the rib, the beef rib that we ordered for
the table last night. So I was in a food
coma and like that weird jet lagged food coma panic
mode that I'm not going to sleep for the next
four days. And then like I'm getting text about the

(07:54):
Taylor Swift album, and then I'm like I don't want
to go. I don't want to answer them because you
want to put the I didn't sleep, Yes you did,
and I hate you for it.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
I know you do. Yeah, I went. I was jet lagged.
Basically I didn't sleep on the plane. It basically been
up at.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
That and I did sleep on the plane.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
So that was for a great many hours. And all
of a sudden I roll over look at my phone
and it's at eleven fifty and I was like.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
And you have the curtains pull, so you have no
concept what eleven fifty it is.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
I thought it was going to play that it was
eleven fifty at night because I looked at my phone
and I had eighty text messages, so I'm like, I'm
surprised they haven't broken down my door in here. But
then it turned out to be eleven fifty am, and
we were all good. We went about our business. One
thing that I've noticed, and obviously for you and I
and the hoff you know, when you are on these trips,
it's a great opportunity to like hang out and a

(08:41):
bond and you talked about the teams going in tonight,
but just watching the guys right now sitting there eating
the meals, and this is kind of and it's nice.
It's not the full week in LA That was a
long time, but this is kind of another opportunity for
this team. And what I think is a real critical
point because if you look at the schedule, this is
where if the Browns are going to make a move,
I believe it starts Sunday.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
It has to.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
It has to. So I kind of like that they're together.
You saw a real intensity. I thought in the practice
today and maybe this bonding is this is something can unified.
Then Gabel goes out and plays well. I really think
our defense has a chance to completely neutralize the offense
and the Minnesota vikings, that maybe this will be kind
of a turning point here at the Grove in London.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
You know, I was thinking about because some of the
guys rasked out today on the podium and I was
flashing back to Carolina or Philadelphia for the practice is similar.
But that's ninety that's training camp. Now this group is
still big. It's seventy if you include practice squad. It
is a big group here. But I do think and
a couple of guys did say, yes, it has been
that kind of experience so far. You know, when we

(09:45):
I don't know if you remember this when we landed
and we were going through when landed at a smaller airport,
not to get away all the logistics here, but when
we finally made it through immigration and they were great
and efficient and took care of us. The players are
all hanging in that little lounge area before we got
on the bus. That it hit me then at that point,
like I don't know, bonding, but like everyone's kind of
waken up. Hey did you sleep? Did you sleep again?

(10:07):
Some orange juice, some coffee. You could kind of see
it there.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Yeah, because you're taking away from your normal lives and
basically you're all in this together and you're all together,
you know, the whole time, and hopefully that this will
be because it starts with one, You've got to go
take care of business Sunday. Then you get a Steelers
team that I haven't seen us win there other than
the twenty twenty Wildcard, and Renegade's overrated again, which have overrated.

(10:33):
So it's not even anybody who's listening this right now
is not a good song. Do yourself a favor. Well,
you're getting some of it. Don't give away all your secrets.
I did this last year at the beginning of the
fourth quarter when they play rendit. Gaye just listened to
the radio broadcast because well that was a problem last year.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
They didn't play it until like a couple of minutes
into the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
So I had never been in all my years.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
At NFL Network, I gone to multiple training camps at
latrob By done shows at Heinzfield. I've never actually been
to a Steelers game, believe it or not, after all
these years. Yeah, which you know, I actually took as
a privilege to never have to go there. But I
heard about the whole reggae thing. And I'm looking ahead
to week six already here getting the material out, and
they play the song and I looked around you guys,

(11:12):
I'm like, that's it.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
That, that's the song. It's not even a good song.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
It's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Okay, it's pretty good. They get them, then they time
it up with the highlights and sometimes they are able
to splice in first half.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
It's it's well, look here's here's t J. Watt getting
getting getting chipped and falling down.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
In the snow.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
They can put that one in there.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
All right, listen, we don't need to give them anymore.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
I am this is a week I'm just random podcaster. Okay,
that's all.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
You are the voice of the Browns. I'm a random podcaster,
their voice of the games, the voice of the Browns.
All right, well that'll do it for us here in
jolly old England. Bo back to you.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
I mean, I didn't know that if you get to
London you get partisans Siciliano. I mean It's full heel
Steelers heel turn. I'm for this Siciliano. I love that
g Man. Give me all of the partisan Siciliano that
I can handle. That was great stuff there from the Fellas.
We'll check back in with Nathan here in just a second.

Very happy now to be joined by the running backs

so much for being with us here today. Four games,
end of the season. How you feel about what you've
seen from the guys in your room.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
They're working hard, all of them, and they're working together.
They come in each and every week rip, roaring and ready,
so that's the exciting part about it. And they're learning
and I'm learning about them, so that's exciting. They're exciting,
and you know, being able to continue to develop them
is definitely important and that's what I'm doing now.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
You played and played at a high level in this league.
For Quinshawn Judkins to be gone basically since June and
to be able to come in and basically be a
full time back within two weeks of coming back, how
impressed by that are you? And what does that say
about the shape he kept himself in and the commitment
he had to be ready to hit the ground running.

Speaker 6 (14:11):
That says a lot about his character. I'm super impressed
just being able to walk off the street. And if
you go back to the game where he started, you know,
he only had one practice that week. Yeah, so being
able to jump right into practice, being able to pick
up where he left off at Now you got to remember, now,
he was a smart kid. So while he was gone,

(14:31):
he was still studying Ota film, you know, training camp,
looking at training camp film, He's looking at everything. Yeah,
so he wasn't going to be left behind. On top
of that, he was continuing to train.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
I mean, for me, it was in the game against Baltimore,
which was his first game, the one where he kind
of jumped cut it and then out ran Marlin Humphrey.
I'm like, okay, he's he's ready to go. When you
see that as a coach or you like it, all right.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
I'm excited. I'm excited.

Speaker 6 (14:58):
I'm already walking up and down on the sideline. You know,
I'm telling I'm screaming it out of the huddle. But
when I saw that, I was like.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Whoa Okay, see what I've been looking for.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Yeah, and every week it's ramped up.

Speaker 5 (15:08):
Right.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Two weeks ago it was the ninety yards rushing in
the touchdown against the Packers. Last week against the lines,
goes over one hundred total yards and really is kind
of he's in there full game. How have you seen him?
Obviously we've seen him hit the big runs three over
thirty yards, but also now in the passing game, feels
like his roles picking up there as well.

Speaker 7 (15:24):
Yea.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
It tells you about his preparation yep.

Speaker 6 (15:27):
And you just can't put him in a box as
a first and second down player.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
A lot of.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
Times, you know, in this league, you are put in
a box as a running back. Are you a three
down guy? Or are you a first and second down guy?
Q can play all three downs and you will see
as his protection picks up and as we put him
in those rows.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Yeah, I mean, he had the one where he got
Micah Parsons pretty good. That's got to be is that one?
Does that get a lot of rewatches in the film room.

Speaker 6 (15:52):
Well, that's something we talk about. We talk about being
able to help our tackles. We talk about chipping, we
talk about running out routes and making sure we don't
see any color. He saw color, he was able to
chip and he did it.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
We saw Jerome Ford do one as well. This week.

Speaker 6 (16:07):
Jerome had a couplet a couple and you know, we
talk about it.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
So it's one of the things we address.

Speaker 6 (16:12):
Anytime we can slow some of these werewolves as I
call them down, and the werewolf is a defensive end
that can wreck a game, and we face one each week. Now,
anytime we can help our tackles, help our line and
slow some of these guys down, we will.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
When you look at your room and now Quinchine kind
of really becoming the main guy. You've got Jerome Ford
and they're Dylan Sampson as well, who both played big
roles early in the season. How do you kind of
how are they dealing with maybe that change in their
role and making the most of the opportunities when they
do get them.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
Well, the first thing is you got to remind them
that they're a pro and being a pros a lot
of responsibilities come with that. And also everybody's looking so
we root for everybody in the room. So I'm rooting
for them, they're rooting for me, and they're root for
each other. So when you go into the room and
understand the love that you have for each other and
understand the role may not be the role you like, right,

(17:02):
but it's your job and they understand that. So that's
how we attack.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
It, is that one of the things that's target like
a guy like Dylan, Right, Dylan's the sec offensive player
of the year. He was the main focus of his
team's offense. And then you know early in the season
when he needs play more, comes out eight catches I
think in the opening week, and then it gets scaled
down as things changed. And he's such a positive kid.
You know, how's he dealing with that, because that's gonna
be the hardest thing about coming to this level is
going from being the guy and now it's like, all right,

(17:29):
you might get a couple snaps, but you're gonna have
to do some things on special teams to help this
football team.

Speaker 6 (17:33):
Yeah, and on those level, things are forever changing. Yeah,
the game plan changes, so when we you never know,
Like the first week, of course, we were able to
get out there, Dylan was able to catch a bunch
of balls, had a couple of runs there, and he
was productive. The next week. Of course Q came in
and he's been rolling since. So you never know, five
or six games, seven games down the road, we may

(17:53):
go back to Dylan, So it changes. You just got
to be ready when your numbers called.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Yeah, and that's something I would imagine given your experience,
that you can really relate to them. That's got to
be very helpful to have somebody who's actually you've lived
it right well.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
I've been a part of the three headed monster in Philly. Yep,
you know myself, Westbrook and Correll Bulk culture. So it's
similar to what's going on.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Now when you make a switch like the Browns have done. Now,
Dylan Gabriel now will be the starting quarterback. How can
your room, which is young in its own right, and
how can you guys help a rookie quarterback.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Well, doing your job, doing your job, practicing hard, staying
after catching some of his passes, doing what you got
to do to be productive and help this offense be successful.
I mean, aren't you excited for the kid? This is
exciting times. I'm excited for him. I remember my first start,
and you know you're always gonna remember that first time
you get a chance to go out there and start

(18:45):
in the NFL. So I'm excited for the kid. We're
excited as an organization and let's say see where it goes.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Mitch is exciting when you pick out the youth. You know,
Harold Fannin has been our leading receiver for a while,
Isaiah Bond is the leading receiver last game, Quinn Shawn
is the leading rusher. Now we're going to have a
rookie quarterback. You've got a lot of young guys kind
of it's almost a massive recruiting class, right that are
going to come in this together and have a chance
now to kind of grow together.

Speaker 6 (19:08):
Yeah, and just look at all the rookies and how
they're contributing. All right, that's a big, big plus to
a B in the draft process being able to bring
these guys in right now and they're going out there
and OTA's and you saw flashes from OTA's to training
camp of what these guys can do.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
So now they're out there.

Speaker 6 (19:26):
Between the lines when it's real and they're doing it.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
It's awesome. And it's on both sides of the ball,
which is which has been great And I think it
speaks like you mentioned earlier with Quinneawn but Isaiah Bond
came in very much at the end. And for those
guys to be able to ramp up and play at
this level.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Are you trying to.

Speaker 6 (19:39):
Say is something to not come in to camp and
maybe come I'm not trying to say that, you.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
I'm saying they've got they must have it, they must
have great position coaches. Oh, I wish? All right, what
do you think about these Lendon games? Well, this is
my second one chance to go.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
In twenty eighteen, we played the Jacksonville Jaguarsh when I
was at Philadelphia and we won. I think it's right
for the NFL. Sure, I think it's awesome for the
NFL to be able to have that exposure, to have
worldwide fans, of course, and it's good for these guys
to have that type of trip and being able to
see the other side of the pond, as they say,
and see you know, fans from everywhere and they're going

(20:16):
to see a bunch of different jerseys in there.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Now, all going to see that.

Speaker 6 (20:20):
But just enjoy it, man, Just enjoy it and be
thankful that you have opportunity like this.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Did you feel like when you went with Fieling twenty
eighteen that the was you can bond right. This is
kind of another like in season almost many getaway where
you're all on the same roof, you're all together all
the time, and that can hopefully help you know where
we're at kind of a pivotal point this season. We
have an opportunity to get hot here and get right
back into the mix. Do you think that that is
that something you felt from that time?

Speaker 6 (20:44):
You know, I wasn't really worried about that. I'm just
worried about us doing our job. Sure, and of course
coming along is some of that what you just talked
about about bonding. You got the long flight. You know,
of course you're be in a hotel forever and the
practices on a foreign land, so of course some of
that will happen. You know, some dinners, there'll be some
of those things. But you know, let's make sure the

(21:04):
main thing is the main thing, and that's going.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
Over there to win. When you how would you rate
your intensity as a coach on the sideline to your
intensity when you play the game. Because I'm pretty sure
there was a play in the game against Detroit. I
think Quenchohn had a good run where I could hear you.
I'm all the way on the other side of the
stadium up top, and I have headphones on because I'm
doing the radio, and I knew I could hear you,

(21:26):
and I was like, I love it. I love how
fired up you.

Speaker 6 (21:28):
Yet I'm excited by having an opportunity to live vicariously
through these percent Yeah. It makes me feel so good
that I'm able to be a part of this great
game that I once played. Now I get a chance
to direct and coach. So just that feeling alone, And
I tell them all the time, when you score, I score.
When you missed the block, I missed it too, So
you know why I'm super mad, you know. So I'm

(21:51):
just excited. That's just the energy I bring, and I
expect for the players to have the same.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Do you think this offense is close to being where
we want it to be?

Speaker 6 (21:57):
Without a doubt, it's close, and we got to continue
to push forward. And they're going to be, of course,
potholes along the way. They're going to be hiccups, you know,
they're going to be stuff that you know you don't understand,
but you've got to continue to push forward and figure
it out and that's where we are now.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Yeah, it's gonna be exciting. Coach, thank you for the time.
No probably talking to you as don't have intensity, and
let's go get a win in London.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Feels like Deuce's guys are going to be leaned on
pretty heavily this Sunday over in London. Of course that
will start with quin Shawn Judkins. Did you know that
in yards per game statistically, quin Shawn Judkins fifth in
the National Football League, averaging just under eighty at seventy
nine yards a clip. Jonathan Taylor, James Cook, Travis Etty,
and JK Dobbins, then quinn Shwan Judkins. So a steady

(22:43):
diet of Quinshawn Judkins. One of the thing to pay
attention to and keep your eye on for Sunday, whether
it is Jerome Ford or Dylan Sampson running backs out
of the backfield. One thing that Minnesota is going to
do to the young quarterback Dylan Gabriel. They're going to
come after him. They're going to try to get in
his face. My hunches. You'll see Kevin Stefanski, Tommy Reese
make sure that Gabriel has answers to get the ball
out quickly. That'll be the tight ends. That very likely

(23:05):
we will be running backs as well, so that could
be something to watch for when we get into the
game on Sunday morning. Here locally as well. Hey Cleveland,

available this morning over in this morning for us over

(24:34):
in London, and we're gonna have that for you in
a second. But I just want to give you a
little context in terms of rookie quarterbacks in recent years
making their first start in the National Football League. So
this year Gabriel will be the third this season in
the National Football League. Cam Ward, of course, started from
week one. He went in his game, his first game
of course with Switch, a loss. Struggled pretty mightily, twelve
to twenty eight, one hundred and twelve yards, no touchdowns,

(24:55):
no picks. He did have that superhuman throw kind of
back across his body, so you got a little window
into what's capable there. But it's obviously very difficult and
tough sledding for cam Ward so far in his rookie year,
Jackson start made Jackson Dart Rather making his debut last
week in a Giants win over the Chargers. He goes
thirteen of twenty one hundred and eleven a touchdown and

(25:17):
then he ran for fifty four yards on that one.
If you're curious about last year's quarterback class, remember Warden
Dark both first round picks, Gabriel a third. Last year,
four rookies started their careers as rookies. Last year, bo
Nick started right away. He went twenty six to forty two,
one hundred and thirty eight and two interceptions in that
game in his debut. Jayden Daniels dual threat of course,

(25:40):
one hundred and eighty four through the air, eighty eight
and two touchdowns on the ground for Jaden Daniels. Drake
may His came later into the season, but he was
twenty at thirty twenty of thirty three were rather two
hundred and forty three yards, three touchdowns and the two picks.
And then Michael Pennix Junior his start came much into
his rookie year eighteen to twenty seven, two to two
and an inner reception. When you do the comps for Dylan.

(26:02):
The names that most often came about in the draft
process were Brock Perdy and to a Tongue of Iloa.
So let's take a look at what those guys did
in their rookie debuts. Brock Perdy on the out of
the jump for the forty nine Ers sixteen of twenty one,
incredibly efficient, one hundred and eighty five, two touchdowns, he
did fumble at once in a forty nine Ers blowout
winner the Bucks. And then to a tongue of Iloa

(26:24):
sixteen to twenty three ninety three and a touchdown so
accurate but short, got it out quick, no big mistakes
for the Dolphins in his debut. So somewhere in there,
Dylan Gabriel, his final statistical analysis will be somewhere in there,
and look forward to see where he stacks up against
all of those guys in recent years who have either
been compared to Dylan or young guys the last two

(26:45):
years who have started in the league. Time now to
head back across the pond to London. From the Podium
presented by Vivid Seats birched official fan experience package to
day for the ultimate game day, here's your starting quarterback
Dylan Gabriel.

Speaker 8 (26:58):
Is this kind of you know, just irregular week gone
for you with the travel and the change and the everything.
How how does it been Delork?

Speaker 5 (27:07):
Uh?

Speaker 9 (27:07):
Different? For sure, I'd be a live press said it wasn't.
But you know, for me, there's there's comfort there being
from Hawaii. Uh, there's uh a lot of reminiscent of
when we travel as a team together and you know,
we'd have six to eight hour flights to look forward
to and I just think, you know, our our team
prepared us for it. So, uh, we're x extremely excited altogether.

(27:30):
And now that we're here, it's a lot easier to
settle in sting because Joel's.

Speaker 8 (27:34):
Told you that twenty one start a quarterbacks isn't up.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Perhaps he's like.

Speaker 9 (27:37):
You feed John fort he he hasn't uh told me that.
But Joe's a great dude, and he's you know, he's
just a a guy you look to and is very calming,
has played a bunch of ball, So you just have
a lot of confidence when you know you see him
in the huddle.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
How different has this week really been?

Speaker 9 (27:55):
Now that you guys are forty eight hours out, you know,
we try to make it as similar of a week
as you can and that's just you know, our process,
and I felt like we have for other than yesterday
traveling in and maybe doing a walk through instead of
a true practice and a jog through. But other than that,
we tried to make it as similar as possible.

Speaker 8 (28:16):
That you run this offense like it's your own. And
everybody that we've talked to the past few days just
keeps talking about your poise, your confidence. Can you sort
of address how did you arrive at that point already.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
As I'm working.

Speaker 9 (28:30):
Yeah, I think there's so many similar moments in your lifetime,
and although it's a different level, I think the feelings
are the same, and I've gotten better each time I've
felt that feeling, and for me, I've just attacked it
that way. There's a lot of comfort in the scheme
because you know, that's part of why that you know
got me here is I've done it before, and I

(28:52):
think the confidence in that is now you're learning new
personnel and new people, but you come together and have
ultimate confidence in the whole concepts that we run.

Speaker 10 (29:00):
Dylan, has there been a different interaction for you, uh
with your teammates and now that.

Speaker 8 (29:05):
You're the starter. What has that been like for you?

Speaker 9 (29:08):
Not necessarily, you know, I think I I've always challenged
myself to to lead without status, and I think it
was a you know, a challenge early for me cause
it was different a role I've probably never been in.
But I think that ultimately helped me to when now
you do you know, get the the spot to roll with,
you know, you can just uh attack it the same way.

(29:29):
So it challenged me in that way. But now it's
probably just a little more talking in the huddle and
more reps, but ultimately it'll it'll be good on you know,
Sunday and when we get to go.

Speaker 8 (29:39):
I'm assuming you probably had hundreds of messages from people
this week or one or maybe a handful of especially
being FORUL.

Speaker 9 (29:46):
Yeah, you know a couple I think all the coaches
that have great relationships with you know, and I don't
want to miss any but you know my high school coach,
coach Rod, coach Hype from UCF, coach Goalish who's my
will see there as well, coach Lab coach Stein Coast Landing,
So all those guys, you know, people you appreciate, and

(30:07):
then also my family but for the most part too
it's it's something that you prepare for, you know, and
you're ready for. So it's not a text of congratulations
of some sort. It's like, you know, it's your time
to go show show the role.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Your folks will be here, right.

Speaker 9 (30:20):
They won't be so fun. Fact, need to get my
dad a passport. So we're learning about that second just
a little later in the week. So you know, mom
and dad, it's from Hawaii. You can imagine that flights
even further than what we just did.

Speaker 10 (30:35):
So going back to the experience you had, you know,
your college experience.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Obviously college appropa to different things. That's impt what you've
seen defensively to the various schemes.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
How much have you been able to kind of bring
that along with you as you you know, you're adjusting
to what you've seen.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
How the NFL defenses.

Speaker 9 (30:52):
I think it's interesting because you know, in college, sometimes
you know, some may say the lack of personnel, they
may have to add onto the scheme and do things
that are unique to help in the run game and
the past game. I think in the NFL, obviously personnel
is at all time high, so there's extreme confidence and
maybe coverages that you've repped a bunch of times, But

(31:15):
for this, I think you take pride in as a
OC or DC in the scheme that you have and
you want to rep at a high level. Ultimately, you're
going to do what your players are good at. But
you know, as you continue to go go up, it's
a lot about personnel and putting guys in the right
place to go make their plays. So just understanding that
and then understanding as a show what they're trying to do.

Speaker 8 (31:36):
You did you about you were able to block out?
You've had You took some.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Really harsh, harsh criticism during training camp and you guys
always say that you blocked out the noise.

Speaker 8 (31:46):
Did you truly block all of that out or did
some of it seep in? And if so, did it
actually fuel you?

Speaker 5 (31:54):
You know?

Speaker 9 (31:54):
For me, I've always lived by like, I'd rather be
uninformed than misinformed. And everyone has the right to their
opinion and I understand that. But instead of I don't
necessarily block up the noise, I just choosing not to
be a part of it. And I think that's just
a singular focus, you know, and emotional regulation of there's
a job to do and there's something that you just

(32:16):
want to focus on and do at a high level.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
So that's what I do.

Speaker 9 (32:20):
Like I said, I respect everyone's opinion and everyone you know,
can say whatever they want.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
It's freedom of speech.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
When then we'll do it.

Speaker 8 (32:26):
Go for more about Well, when time was that trying
to come? Did you think you could win the stud
into the.

Speaker 9 (32:32):
Season and before you know it wasn't ever about winning
a job, you know, just playing at my best, playing
at a high level. I think when you continually do
that and you're focused on your game, uh, that that'll
naturally come, you know. And the one time you're thinking about,
you know, I got to go win something, you you
just you know, over overreact or overdo rather than just

(32:54):
serving the moment. And that's what I've been about the
whole time.

Speaker 10 (33:00):
As you've worked with Tell me where you see host
of the in this role? How is he hold you specifically?
And did you guys have can talk to you a
straight kind of tailor in the office to your skill set,
that sense to make you feel comfortable and appilated.

Speaker 8 (33:13):
So how has he just helped you this week?

Speaker 5 (33:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (33:15):
I think just a bunch of conversations, you know, and
I think there's always a a meeting prior to a meeting,
you know, and being able to have those conversations prior
so you can understand what we're trying to do and
do it at a high level.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (33:27):
The more you see it, the more comfortable you are
with it. And I said the last time, but the
more turns you got at it, like Coach must says,
like you're just gonna have a bunch of confidence a
bunch of comfort there. So just trying to do that,
whether it's film, whether it's walk throughs, whether it's walking
or you know, looking at a a a play call
and being able to you know, say the play and
then go through the progression. So uh, kind of a

(33:49):
bit mixture of all that, but you know, trying to
do it as best as possible.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
Have you worked on how many people are gonna be
watching from WHI turning?

Speaker 8 (33:57):
What time of day is going to be?

Speaker 9 (34:00):
I haven't thought that far, but I would guess early
in the morning. It is interesting, like I've always been
used to it when I was in Florida to Hawaii,
like a six hour difference. Texting family is a little different.
But I really haven't even looked into it. But it's
probably like double right, twelve hours eleven yeah, two more.

Speaker 8 (34:21):
How do you feel your preparations? Not the part about
traveling and the team, but how do you feel since
you were in his story?

Speaker 1 (34:29):
I take pride in it, you know.

Speaker 9 (34:31):
I think the preparation, you know, allows you to be
confident on game day, you know, and really not even
think about schematically what you're trying to do. But it's
like you get the formation, you already know the play call,
and I think that's something that I've always took pride
in from every level, and I just continue to master that.
You know, I've even had four weeks prior to this
to master how we go through a week, and for me,

(34:53):
it's how do you fit in film in between there?
You know, how do you fit in meals and as
you can imagine everything in between, and you know, I
just continue to master it and don't think over stops.

Speaker 8 (35:06):
Game has stopped, and it's going to be in London
over somebody that.

Speaker 9 (35:09):
You ever, yeah, never thought about obviously never happened. So
there's a first for everything. But like I learned from
my first, there's you know, it ain't never gonna be perfect,
but you know, the preparation is key and go out
there and do what you do. But you know, we're blessed,
we're grateful. You know, we play a beautiful game. We'll

(35:29):
be able to do it in front of new fans.
And I think that's that's what football is all about,
the diversity, the amount of people that love this game
and are around it. Like there's beauty in that. And
you know, that's what I'm most appreciative of.

Speaker 2 (35:43):

Time for a little part of the show. We like
to call overs and unders from across the Pond, the boys, gentlemen,

(37:00):
those favorite saying which one he said?

Speaker 3 (37:03):
He banned it, he tried banning, he tried to ban
saying across.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
The pond, Who in the blue hell does he think
he is?

Speaker 3 (37:10):
He says, that's what, bro, That's that's what what he said.
That's like a newscaster says that. He's like, it's overused.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
It's okay, he's out there. I'm banning him. He's banned.

Speaker 5 (37:21):
Don't think we can do that?

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Well, you can ban him off this show. You're I'm
banning everybody. What is he so sensitive about the plight
of the English. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
He was just he doesn't like across the pond him, Like,
why not? It's fun.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
I swear to God any time I talked to him.
From now on, everything is going to be across the pond.
You're playing golfing today, Yeah, across the pond.

Speaker 5 (37:45):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
Last week we were underwater gentlemen, two and three apiece
in the over unders two and three. I cannot believe
also that you guys are deadlocked among think.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
Yeah, to be fair, last week we missed on two
of them by a half.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
That's a good job of the over unders committee. Very
good job out of the over unders committee.

Speaker 5 (38:11):
Then, yeah, I'm telling you they were dialed in.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
They were locked in. Look, we got a whole we
got a whole team of MIT kids putting these together
every week, putting the very best over and utthers together,
and every once in a while they get a good one.
So yeah, eleven and nine. You're both eleven and nine
as we head to the game across the pond against
the Minnesota Vikings. Of course, you guys are already across
the pond, so this game will be taking place across

(38:34):
the pond. So time for your overs and your unders.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Number one.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
Dylan Gabriel. Oh yeah, I'll do that after this one.

Speaker 5 (38:45):
All right.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
We're looking for Dylan Gabriel pass attempts, Dylan Gabriel pass attempts,
and I believe Z went first last time? Do I
have that right? So I think this a Gibbie goes first.
Gibby goes first. The number we are looking for on
Dylan Gabriel pass attempts is twenty seven and a half.
Twenty seven and a half Gibbe.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
It's an interesting number, it really is.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
I'm gonna say over over for Gibbe, over same over. Yeah.
I think that you're gonna you'd love to have a
twenty one to twenty six, you know, it would be great,
That would be fantastic. But I think I think it's
gonna end up right around thirty. I don't think we're
going to be in the you know, the thirty six
forty range that we've been living in. I think it'll

(39:31):
be right around thirty twenty eight to thirty.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
So I looked this up because a lot of he
gets the brock Purty thing a lot in terms of
style of play, acumen, what Basically, what party does is
what we would love to get out of. Gabriel Perty's
debut for the with the Niners was I could be
up by a couple of yards and maybe an attempt
or so, but I believe it was sixteen and twenty
one for one hundred and eighty six and two touchdowns.
Like I'd sign, sign me up. They beat They beat

(39:56):
the Bucks thirty five to seven when Brady was with
the Bucks in that game. Obviously the team's very different,
but in terms of what was expected, that is what is.
Hopefully we can get to see some of that at
at a Dylan on the high side of it, over
or under Jordan Mason rushyards, doctor Z. The number is

(40:18):
fifty nine and a half.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Jordan Mason rush yards and a half, so he is
certainly well above that. That's what he averages because he's
a very productive runner. But we don't let people run
the football, No, we do not. So I'm gonna say
their offensive lines missing three guys potentially. Jamiir Gibbs, by

(40:45):
the way, is the only running back that would have
even come close to that number. And he's no Jamiir Gibbs.
He's much more of a downhill guy like a Derrick Henry,
like a Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
Under under four. Gibbet, I'm gonna be very blunt. I
have read about fives of notes so far in my studying.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
How's that different than every other week?

Speaker 5 (41:14):
It's also a good point. It's a good follow it's
a very good following. Yeah, nope, no, nope. I will
say under as well under. We have a good run defense.
It needs to show.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
Up on Sunday over or under. Who puberty cracked a
little on that eve? An NBC wouldn't have cracked like that.
He's going he's going through. A voice is changing, all right.
A little bit of a tight end competition here, oh baby?
Harold Fan and Junior total touches over or under?

Speaker 5 (41:47):
T J.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
Hockinson total touches. Gibbet, you're going over. You're not going
against the BG kid, are you?

Speaker 5 (41:54):
Are you? I will not go against Harold Fan and Jr.
His bust is already being prepared at the hall. That's
right over us.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
So when I was going in a freshman year of
high school, actually yeah it was.

Speaker 5 (42:09):
It was.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
It was the freshman year, but summer league with everybody
and can't tell story, and I came back and that
first like week of school, I sounded like Verry.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
White, did you really?

Speaker 3 (42:27):
And I'm like yeah, and I'm like, oh my goodness,
my voice is like totally unbelievable sultry voice. It was
I thought. I was like people were loving it. It
was amazing. I was so happy. I guess I must
have had a cold, but I didn't have any The
only something in my head was turning into Berry White.
And then it was gone, like a week later. I
totally thought it was like this was going to be

(42:47):
my new voice. Not but there was a week there
where it was, oh, I was I was righting high?
Really yeah? Of course, lot of attention.

Speaker 5 (43:01):
Where are you going with us?

Speaker 3 (43:02):
That's the story is changing. We're building off of a story.
It's like haven't you heard.

Speaker 5 (43:09):
I thought, you know, off of a story.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
G mad He says when you're having a conversation, but
they give you a little on ramps And right there
there was an on ramp and I took that on ramp,
so the you know, it was strong. It was a
strong week, real good. Then it was like not very
white anymore. What's up with that? What's up with that?

Speaker 5 (43:38):
Harold Fannon is our leading receiver. The chief has had
himself a week here.

Speaker 3 (43:44):
But I think that this is gonna be a game
where they've gotta they're gonna I think they're gonna have
to throw it a lot. And I also think that
he's going to be the security blanket for Carson Wentz.

Speaker 5 (43:55):
They're not.

Speaker 3 (43:55):
I think we're gonna try to do everything we can
to make sure he can't get it down the field
to Justin Jefferson or to Jordan Adison. So I think
it's gonna be like I think Hackets is going up
something like eight for forty six.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (44:07):
And so I'm going t J. Hockinson under, how dare
you fan's gonna be? But he didn't say he's no.
It's first of all, it's just fannin. Yeah, you tell
what you want.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
It's just total touches.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
It's it's touches. Yep, it's touches.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
That's true. It's an important distinction.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Who Okay, they gets him play that fan and now
gains him.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
Okay, next over under.

Speaker 5 (44:35):
So saying I'm like, who's doing the next part?

Speaker 2 (44:37):
I forgot about the next I'm doing too many things,
too many balls in the air, gentlemen, this one is
for I don't even know where we are. Is this
who goes first.

Speaker 5 (44:48):
Beginning?

Speaker 2 (44:48):
So this you gotta be this, gotta be Duc di
Z duc Diz Saxon turnovers over over the number is
seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (45:00):
It's a number. That's the real number.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
Five and a half, five and a half, five and
a half. The over under department. The MIT kids are
stack crack. The guys who are crunching the numbers. They
have noted the amount of offensive line that is out
for the Minnesota like that.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
By the way, the last few times we played Carson Wentz, it's.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
Gone over yeap over.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
Still they have six sacks a week ago.

Speaker 5 (45:23):
Whereld you have taken the over at seven at seven
and a half, No, but probably I would have over
Let's go give it a billion. Oh baby, I saw
Carson Wentz suck the last time. I expect the same
on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
Yeah, all right, next over under.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
The actual I gotta tell you something.

Speaker 2 (45:45):
Yeah, I tell you something.

Speaker 3 (45:47):
Sixty two degrees here, Yeah, is freezing. I have not
been this cold.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
I canna tell you. I want off the golf course.
I got a quick nine in uh, it's seventy seven.
Not a cloud in the sky.

Speaker 3 (45:58):
Of course, it's not a cloud in gelt.

Speaker 5 (46:01):
Just get it.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
I might be honest with you, I might play as
soon as we're done. There might be time. I don't
know if there will be time.

Speaker 3 (46:07):
Maybe before and after bed bath and then you go
to bed bath and beyond.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
If it's d that's right, the actual big Thursday on
the actually the actual give. The actual over and under
is thirty five and a half.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
Oh, that's moved.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
Thirty five and a half. Oh, dropped another point and
a half.

Speaker 5 (46:28):
Yep, I'm going over and we're going over twenty points under.

Speaker 3 (46:34):
It's gonna be twenty to zero. They might score nagave.

Speaker 5 (46:40):
I don't even know if that's possible.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Hey, I'm telling you right now. They're trying. They're trying
people out to be the center. They don't even know
who's gonna play center. The center's hurt, and the backup center.
They're gonna have a guard who's never played center before
play center in this game.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
I can't wait to check in with you guys again shortly.
Good job out of both of you. All right, we'll

Brown's Vikings Sunday in London Town. Let's go behind enemy
lines now and get the latest on what is happening
with the Vikes. Matthew Coller joins us covering the Vikes
at Purple Insider. He joins on the Twisted Tatline presented
by Twisted hardeed T, official sponsor of your Cleveland Browns.
Keep it Twisted, Cleveland. Matthew, thank you so much for
taking the time. Let's just start with what are the

(47:43):
Vikings going to do up front on Sunday?

Speaker 7 (47:47):
Is panic an acceptable answer? I think that might be.
I mean, both of these teams have got to be
looking around being like, what sort of witch doctor curse
our offensive lines? Because you know, the Vikings went into
the season without Christian Dearisow. Then they get him healthy
and they look like an awesome offensive line against the

(48:07):
Cincinnati Bengals, but then after that game their left guard,
first round pick Donovan Jackson. I'm sure, you folks are
very familiar with and has been fantastic in his first
couple of games. He goes out with the wrist injury.
So then they put in Blake Brandle, who's kind of
a veteran you know, has bounced around this roster a
little bit from starter to backup, and you know, okay,
you feel pretty good about that. But then Ryan Kelly

(48:30):
gets hurt, and then his backup Michael Jurgens gets hurt.
So now Blake Brandle, who's never played center before, he's
over at center, which means Joe Huber, an undrafted free agent,
has to step in at left guard and then at
right tackle. The Vikings have had one of the best
right tackles in the NFL for the last must be
about eight years now, Brian O'Neil. He gets hurt on

(48:53):
a field goal last week. I mean he's played two
hundred I think four hundred and ninety field goal snaps,
never gotten hurt before. But then he has an MCL injury,
so they will be playing back up right tackle justin school.
So that means they have all of two starters, undrafted
free agent backup tackle who spent all of the offseason

(49:15):
at left tackle now playing on the right side, and
a center who's never snapped the ball in his career before.
So that's what they're gonna do. That sounds pretty good
against the Browns defensive line.

Speaker 2 (49:26):
Oh my goodness. I mean yeah, I mean we're in
there with you. We know what that feels like. I mean,
I get that entirely. So Kevin O'Connell. He's one of
the best offensive minds in the game and what he
does with quarterbacks is nothing short of extraordinary. He will
have a plan for this. What is your best guess
on what it will be?

Speaker 7 (49:45):
Well you would think that, wouldn't you. But you know,
there have been times. If there's one criticism, and I
don't disagree with what you're saying about O'Connell being as
good as it gets when it comes to managing quarterbacks,
getting wide receivers open, getting his quarterbacks to understand progressions
and timing and all that sort of stuff. But if
there is something that's critiqued, I think a lot by

(50:06):
folks such as myself, it's probably the commitment to a
downfield passing game even when it's not always possible to do.
And there were some examples of that last week when
I mean, you guys know, the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive line
is filthy, and there were still times where Carson Wentz
is alone in the shotgun, empty sets, dropping back and

(50:29):
trying to convert third and elevens by throwing the ball
down the field and they just couldn't block it up
and you end up getting stacked six times, which you know,
some of that was also on Carson Wentz holding the
ball too long. But I think Kevin O'Connell's offense is
built on the idea of a vertical passing game, which
becomes really difficult when you have a backup quarterback and

(50:50):
backup offensive lineman. In the opening script though, we did
see them use a lot of quick game and shorter passes,
and I do expect that as well. But how the
game plays out may matter for the offensive line a lot,
because if the Vikings get ahead, well, you can run
Jordan Mason, you can throw some screens, you can work
you know, TJ. Hawkinson underneath, But if you're trying to

(51:12):
play from behind with three backup offensive linemen, I mean,
good luck with that. If Miles Garrett could just stand
there and know that you know you're going to pass
the football. Even Christian Darrisaw who's also coming back from
a major injury. I don't think that he's prepared for that,
or any tackle in the NFL is prepared to sit
there pass after pass after pass. I mean last week,

(51:35):
Wentz dropped back fifty times. Like, if they have to
drop back fifty times, then they lose this game for sure.
So it really depends. I mean, I think O'Connell's plan
is going to be to try to run play action
off of it. All the things that coaches can do
with the quick game to try to mitigate line issues,
but that all goes out the window if they get behind.

Speaker 2 (51:54):
And to your point, I mean, the two starts for
Wentz couldn't be more different. Fourteen to twenty in a
blowout win at home againt Cincinnati, and then you just
went over the Pittsburgh stat line with him throwing it
upwards a fifty times, forty six of them, a couple
of picks. You've seen Wentz play twice in a Vikings uniform.
What do you expect to see from him Sunday over
in London?

Speaker 5 (52:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (52:13):
So interesting watching Carson Wentz because all one he got
here about a month ago, so he's still trying to
understand the offense, which kind of speaks to what we
were just talking about. But when he's been able to
see the defense pre snap and understand where he's going
with the football, he's been nothing short of terrific. I mean,
if you watch the opening drive, it gets kind of
ruined by a sack at the end, but he hits

(52:36):
a couple of passes right on the money, right as justin.
Jefferson's coming out of his break may have been the
second drive when he threw kind of a jump ball
to Jordan Addison where he took the snap one step
back then lays it up for Addison one on one,
perfect twenty plus yard completion. I think it's when things
get muddy, is when it gets difficult, and that's where

(52:56):
you're talking about those third downs, and even again since
there were a couple of sacks on third downs, because
every defense in the league is going to use deception
at that point, stunts up front, and they're not going
to show their coverages. This isn't, you know, nineteen ninety
one or something where the defenses just stand there anymore
and show you what they're doing. And I think if
you know the offense inside and out, and had been

(53:19):
here since the very beginning of the spring. Well, maybe
that's something you can sort out. But when you just
got here and you know the reads, but when it
comes to that panic time of Miles Garrett's coming at
you or a blitz or you know, it looks like
it's going to be a single high and then it
drops back to too deep or whatever. I mean, that's
where you have to sort through those things lightning quick,
and he's just not going to have time to do that.

(53:41):
And that's been some of the issue. The other thing
I noticed about Carson Wentz, which could be very relevant
in this game, is that, you know, I've gotten to
an age where I can no longer jump up and
get rim, you know, in basketball, but I still think
I should, right, So I still think I can, and
I think I think that that's Wentz like he's still

(54:02):
like early in his career, was a playmaker. He would
get outside the pocket, he'd get moving, he would make plays,
extend plays. He simply cannot do that anymore. And yet
on five or six different occasions the last two weeks,
he has looked like me trying to jump up and
get the rim like I can do it, I can dunk. Nope,
no I can't, and you're sacked. And I think that
that instead of just there was one play last week

(54:24):
where TJ. Watts coming unblocked at him, just throw the
ball in the dirt. And yet he tries to put
on some sort of juke move like Carson. That's not
gonna work. So I think that that could play into
Cleveland's advantage that he still thinks he can make plays
out of structure and that's how he gets sacked. That's
how he gets stripsacked. That's been a little problematic for him.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
Yeah, it's going to be a race to him, right,
It's going to be a race for Miles in that
defensive line to get home before he can get it
out because you look at I mean, one of the
things that this defense there are susceptible. Outside a Denzel
a Ward, some of the cornerback play for Cleveland has
not been elite. You have elite playmakers, So that could
be the thing where this whole operation flips. Matthew on
the other side of it, you're getting a rookie quarterback

(55:08):
and a Brian Flora's defense, and you should be licking
your chops a little bit. My hunch is that the
Browns are going to try to really establish the run
in a big way with Quinn Shawn Judkins. When you've
seen Floras in past years especially, I mean, he's one
of the bright minds. But when he goes up against
a rookie quarterback, what will he throw at Gabriel on Sunday?

Speaker 7 (55:27):
Yeah, I think that's all about not allowing Dylan Gabriel
to ever know what type of coverage he's going to
see or where the rushers are coming from on any
passing play. I mean, just every single time he drops back.
You have to sort that out after the snap because
they're going to mug up the a gaps and bring

(55:47):
those linebackers up. Now, not having Andrew Van Ginkle is
big for the deception because he is the master of
that of wait he lined up where and got the
sack from where? You know what I mean, things like that.
So that's been a a big loss for them to
not have Van Ginkel or Blake Cashman. But they're still
going to show. There was one play against Cincinnati where

(56:08):
they showed three different pre snap coverages before settling on
one and then Jake Browning just had no idea what
to do with the football and took it back. They
love to do that. They love pre snap communication, which
I'm guessing it'll be fine over in London because it's
the neutral site type of game and they love to
rush for But which four and which guys are dropping back?

(56:30):
Sometimes Jonathan Grenard will be back in coverage and you'll think, huh, like, yeah,
he's their best rusher, and yet somebody will come from
somewhere else and get a pressure making the Cleveland offensive
line also sort out some of that stuff. They love
stunts and twists and all that sort of stuff the
games up front, So I think that dealing with that

(56:51):
stuff is really really difficult for a young quarterback. And
what Aaron Rodgers did to beat that was said, oh,
this ball is coming out of my hand. I'm not
going to give you guys any chance to do it.
And I'm curious if Cleveland saw some things that Pittsburgh
was able to do in their quick pass game, because
the Vikings tackling in the secondary, maybe a little suspect

(57:12):
if you can get the ball out to these tight ends,
you know, Harold Fannin and Djoku i mean, if you
can get the ball out to those guys that get
in their hands, they might be able to break some
tackles and get yardage. So I think that's really the
key for Cleveland. As you mentioned, I mean, if the
run game gets going, as it has a couple of
different games against this Vikings team, Atlanta and Pittsburgh, it's

(57:32):
a lot harder to then mess with the quarterback all
the time. And I feel like sometimes I am talking about,
you know, Leroy Horde and Ernest Biner days or something,
but like this is this is kind of how it feels, right,
is that I think for both sides everything's got to
kind of build off of that.

Speaker 2 (57:48):
It feels to me, you're very stute with everything there,
but it really feels to me like whichever offense can
have success early will dictate how this thing goes, and
certainly from the Browns perspective, we know that it's going
to be on the ground. The one advantage I think
that the Vikes have in a big way, and there
are several obviously very very talented team, but one of
them that jumps out is the fact that they've been

(58:09):
over there. What can you tell me about the decision
obviously this has never happened before. What can you tell
me about the decision to play in Ireland, stay over
there and then and then play the game in London
in terms of how they handled that logistically.

Speaker 7 (58:24):
Yeah, I think it was a little bit of three
D chests for the Vikings, although in their version of it,
they would have won last week against Pittsburgh. But you know,
I think the biggest thing was, well, you don't have
to play in Cleveland, and if the fans are still
doing their thing at this point, they're never going to stop.
So I mean, that is as loud of a fan
base you're going to get. I remember looking this up.

(58:46):
Even Miles Garrett sach Ray at home versus away is different. TJ.
Watts is at you know, home versus away. But I
think what the Vikings saw was two not easy places
to play for a quarterback WHI would be a Pittsburgh
and at Cleveland, and why don't we move those over
to neutral sites? And then I think it is a
huge advantage potentially of being over there, being on that

(59:08):
time zone for the entire week and just moving the operation,
which is not so easy. I mean, it's not none
of this is ever easy for anybody, but to be
able to have your entire team beyond the same page
with the time zone alone, to be over in London,
I think is a big edge for them and not
have to you know, pack and unpack and everything else

(59:29):
in the same way as if you're coming all the
way over as the Cleveland Browns are. So I think
when they were presented with that opportunity, most people thought,
why would you want to do that? But then you
start kind of picking apart. I think you're right. I
think the Vikings do have an edge because of the travel.

Speaker 2 (59:44):
All right, give me one key that you'll be looking
for early. If Minnesota is going to get out of
there with the split of the AFC North, what's the
key for you from Minnesota's perspective?

Speaker 7 (59:57):
You know, I think it's really stopping the run game.
I mean, if they because they just haven't been perfect there.
You know, they traded away Harrison Phillips at the end
of training camp. He was kind of their best run defender,
but they felt like they had some younger guys who
were ascending into that position. We've sort of only seen
that in Spurts so far. And if you let Dylan Gabriel.

(01:00:18):
If he's throwing the ball from second and three, he's
gonna have a lot more success than if he's trying
to throw it from second and eleven. So I think
that's a really big factor. And I'll throw out a
funny one here, but it's not. I think the special teams,
the kicking, the field goals. I mean, this could be
a game where these two teams are both trying a
lot of long field goals. You guys have seen it.

(01:00:38):
The block field goals are going out of control. It
feels like in the NFL over these first couple of weeks.
And I just think that this could be a game
where both teams end up attempting four or five field
goals because I don't think either offense has an argument
for being all that explosive on this day. So the
weather conditions, the kicking, I mean, I think those people

(01:00:58):
will love it though, right like that's yea. They always
cheer in these London games as the kicking, so maybe
it'll be really exciting for them and we'll hate it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
They do get all jacked up for it, There's no doubt, Matthew,
this has been a real joy man. You have a
book called football is a numbers game. What can you
tell our audience about it and where to get it?

Speaker 7 (01:01:15):
Yeah? Sure, if anybody's ever wondered about those PFF grades
that people like to argue about, and even we're in
the news a little bit this week I wrote a
book about where PFF came from and how NFL teams
actually use it, and it's kind of a crazy story.
It was invented by a guy actually in England, a
little tie in there to the game. And actually those

(01:01:38):
grades that you see have been shaped over many years
by NFL teams how their data is used. It's really
become a war of data behind the scenes in the NFL,
which I wrote about how teams hadn't really adopted an
analytical approach until about twenty seventeen, and then once they did,
it was an arms race and PFF was sort of
Johnny on the spot in that arms race for data

(01:02:00):
behind the scenes with PFF. And every time I see
people fighting about their grades, unlike, does anyone anyone want
to know how this is done? Because it's actually it's
actually an incredible process. But that doesn't mean that they
always get it right. We also have to use our
brains and context and everything else as well.

Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Believe it or not, that's fantastic, buddy, really enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for your time. Folks. Go grab
the book. It's a fascinating read. Really enjoyed it. Thanks
Matthew anytime.

Speaker 7 (01:02:27):
Thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
All right there, he goes Matthew Coller, covering the vikings
at Purple Insidery joined the show and the Twisted TA
Hotline presented by Twisted Hard Iced tea official sponsor of
your Cleveland Browns, Keep It Twisted Cleveland. A lot of
what he mentioned there. The more you talk to somebody
on the other side of it, g man, the thing
that jumps out to I just think it's who gets
to establish how this game is going to be played first,
and if the Browns can establish the run with Quinnshawn

(01:02:49):
Judkins and play action off of that, it will open
up things for Dylan Gabriel. I don't think either one
of these as currently constructed, we have not shown the
ability to go chase. Minnesota has not shown the ability
to go chase the way, especially with how decimated they
are up front. So to me, if Gabriel and the
and the Browns can especially with Judkins. Get it going

(01:03:10):
early and get it. Drive. To me, this is a
classic defer. Get a three and out short field, Go
get it, go get some points on the board. Then
I think you can dictate it. Because nobody wants to
play from behind in this game. Especially if you're behind
a lot, catching up is going to be very difficult.
That's the crazy thing. Ever, I hope people understand what
what Matthew said there. They are starting a center in

(01:03:32):
an NFL game who has never played center. It's unbelievable,
isn't it. It really is. And I don't know if
that is a product of them being over there and
they couldn't get somebody who knows, who knows, But that's
a circumstance they're in. So they spend a week over there.
They got a guard playing center, and they're going to
give it their best shot. Remember Miles Garrett doing the
crossover over the set. I mean, I think those type

(01:03:55):
of things are in play on Sunday. I don't know
how they block us up, really don't.

Speaker 11 (01:04:00):
Yeah, it really feels like the game is gonna be
one and lost in the trenches right because both of
our offensive lines are banged up. I mean not sure
about Conklin. Joel's been fighting that that back injury all season.
Obviously we lose dewand I mean yeah, and and they're,
like you said, they're down to their third string center,
Brian O'Neil, who's got the mcl sprain. It'll be a

(01:04:22):
few weeks for him. So it's it's gonna be one
and lost in the trenches. That's what it feels like.

Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
It really will be the old term valedictorian to summer school.
It's gonna be which offensive line can be the best
of the worst. Now we could have some big news
with Conklin practice Friday. Now, all of a sudden, you
got Conkland, you get the interior that offensive line intact.
Okay that now now you're heading places. So think I
think that's something to really watch for for us. That

(01:04:47):
would be a massive boost if Jack came back and
played in the game on Sunday and would change things
dramatically on that side of things. And remember that's the
blind side for Dylan too. If absolutely absolutely absolutely so,
that would be that's a great pointer to you, keV.
That is going to be critical to this thing. By
the time we get to Sunday. Morning, Joan andrew Z

Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
What you got?

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
What are you looking into? There? Have you guys seen it?

Speaker 5 (01:06:40):
I have no idea. I'm hoping that there's furniture in
the booth by Sunday. You hear about that?

Speaker 3 (01:06:45):
Now?

Speaker 5 (01:06:46):
Hold o, So the league sends me, by the way, Giby,
how would I hear about it?

Speaker 7 (01:06:54):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:06:54):
No, no, no, because this week talked about it in
the studio.

Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
I want to say, oh, okay, okay, okay okay.

Speaker 5 (01:06:59):
So the League sends me a picture. Here's your booth,
I said, looks beautiful. I go, There's nothing in it.
It's an empty room. It's a carpeted with windows that
don't open. There is a there is something in the
ceiling that I opened to stick antenna's up that I
might have to climb up on the roof that.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
I look forward to.

Speaker 5 (01:07:20):
I go where where's the where's the tables and chairs?
They're like, oh, you have to order those. Excuse me, excuse.

Speaker 9 (01:07:29):
Me, Oh my gosh, yeah, oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (01:07:34):
So I literally have had to work with the league
to get two six foot tables and six chairs so
we can do a game. So the what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (01:07:43):
What are we doing? The Tottenham hops for stadium. It's
it's like for those of us for those who haven't,
it's like the old Texas Stadium and what a lot
and kind of like hard rock in Miami where they
have the thing over the fans so they don't get wet.
But there's a hole in the middle. So you guys
will be good all right. Time for your keys to victory,
and for that we turn it over to Duc Dizzy.

Speaker 3 (01:08:06):
Well, listen, you heard what I said, or maybe it
did it. Maybe I haven't even said it yet. I
don't know exactly the sequencing is gonna go. But at
the event that you have heard it, I'll say it again.
An event you haven't listen up, the Vikings are gonna
be down three offensive linemen. There are two guys that
have been pro Bowlers on their line out, their center

(01:08:26):
gonna be out, their backup center out. They're starting somebody
who's never played center before. There we need to dominate, suffocate,
and eliminate, and completely control the line of scrimmage. I
think that the defense has an opportunity in this game
to completely eviscerate the running game of the Minnesota Vikings.
Make Carson Wentz be a drop back passer, and if
you do that, yeah, he's gonna put up He can
put up some yards, there's no doubt. But he will

(01:08:48):
throw you the football. Last two games we have played
against Carson Wentz five interceptions the Browns are two and
ozer last week two interceptions. Make him throw you the football.
Get those turnovers. Dominate the game defensively, that's number one.
Dominate the game number two. If there is a weakness
of the defense of the Minnesota Vikings, though the number
three pass defense, number seven overall defense, it's the run defense.

(01:09:11):
During the twenties, they give four and a half yards
to carry one hundred and thirty yards a game. Feed
Quinn Shawn Judkins, feed them, feed them, feed them, feed them,
feed them, feed them, feed him, and then hopefully we
can hit some shot plays off a play action. If
we can cover up some of these blitz Brian Flores
is gonna blitz. They do it about forty percent of
the time, third most in the NFL. We've got to
take care of the football. I mean I stopped saying
it because it was so obvious, but now that it's

(01:09:32):
a new day, yes it is. With Dylan Gabriel a quarterback,
we need to see if he can be the one
that stops kind of that that hemorrhaging of turning over
the football. It's ten of the last eleven games we've
turned it over double digit times. Are not double ed
times turn it over multiple times. We've got to stop it.
So have to take care of the football. Got to
win that turnover battle. And I really think if we
can take the line of scrimmage defensively and offensively in

(01:09:55):
terms of being able to run the football, I really
think this could be a beating. You can't lose if
they don't score. And I think if we don't give
them short fields from turnovers or special teams. Special teams
got to be better. But if we don't do that,
I think they're gonna have a hard time their line.

(01:10:16):
I'm telling you is decimated beyond it's beyond belief. There
are tryouts of guards people were not centers guards to
play center this week against Mason Graham and Malie cons
I think if they do that, you certainly go back
to that old one where you line Miles garup over
the center and let him, you know, pretend like he's
dribbling the ball through his legs doing crossovers. Freak these

(01:10:38):
guys out. I just think we have a chance once
we know he throws the ball, and I think we
have a chance to really dominate that line of scrimmage.
I think that's gonna be so massive in this game.

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
All right, there you go, there are your keys to victory.

How did we do last week? Doct disease?

Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
Oh baby, you were hot, bo bish of you hot
through the opening stanza. You end up on the week
going eleven and five, but at one point you were
eleven and three going into the Monday night doubleheader. I
was a much more modest, much more modest nine and seven.

(01:12:13):
But nobody ever went broke taking a profit. So here
we go. You are now ten games over five hundred
and six, so combined, sixteen games over five hundred and
the only games Tennessee and Miami and the Jets were
the only two games that we didn't get out a
winner on that one of us did not.

Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
One of us didn't get it. Yeah, all right, good
job out of us so far, hitting our stride, hitting
our hitting our stride, so far, all right?

Speaker 5 (01:12:40):
Getting all right? Away we go, gentlemen, and we go
to the one o'clock window multitasking. Here we go, there
it is, there's the email. Thank you, g man ah Vegas.

Speaker 3 (01:12:53):
Do you want to see Gail here?

Speaker 5 (01:12:54):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
He looks like Tony. He looks like he's laying back
in like his recliner chair. He looks like Tony soprano,
and he's sucking down like a cord of ice cream,
except he's got his phone. He's just looking at things,
like keeping an eye on things as this is happening.
It's amazing, It's everything you'd want.

Speaker 5 (01:13:11):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
It's beautiful, beautiful.

Speaker 5 (01:13:12):
He's he's holding down a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
That's right, that's who he is.

Speaker 5 (01:13:17):
At about two o'clock on Thursday afternoon. Here, I was like,
if I don't get like a thirty minute nap in
a shower, I don't think I'm going to be able
to function any longer.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
Yeah, time exchange not elite.

Speaker 5 (01:13:34):
Well, well, the plane not a leaite.

Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
Well there there's what is that? There you go, You're good,
You're safe, You're safe, You're safe. Go ahead, give it
while we're while we can.

Speaker 5 (01:13:47):
There we go. Raiders visiting Indianapolis and the Colts. Do
I have that right? Yeah? Man? Is that the first one?
It is all right? I am looking at the correct document.
Raiders on Fox. Nathan Segura kick us off?

Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
Who I like this hook here. I'm just not a
believer in the Raiders at all. Colts should have beaten
the Rams. I'm not deterred on this one. I think
that the Colts they get right, and they get right
in a big way. I think that this game could
end with Kenny Pickett playing quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders.

(01:14:23):
Colts nine thousand, Raiders three. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:14:27):
I actually think the loss to the Rams was maybe
one of the more impressive results for the Colts this season,
because I think the Rams are really, really good, and
they had them on the road, so I think the
Colts are real. I think they keep that rolling and
got them. I got same z's as you, my friend.

Speaker 3 (01:14:42):
Let's go.

Speaker 5 (01:14:44):
I'll be honest. They should have sent this game to London.
G men taking on New Orleans in the super Dome
on Sunday at one o'clock. Enter Catalan and Charles Davis,
up Boy, Jason mccordy and EJ. Ross as well on
the call of this one bo Bishop Saints g men.

Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
So so the fighting Saints have they've they've been frisky.
They're winless, right, giants coming off of a win, quarterback
bouncing around over the Chargers, flexing quarterback. And yet I
look down at this and it's not the g men
who are favored.

Speaker 3 (01:15:23):
They are not no at like, and it's almost like
somebody doesn't believe that they land it on the.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Moon, almost like almost like I can't choose the wine
in front of me, But can I not choose the
wine in front of you? Give me the Saints to
win by a field goal off the Schneide.

Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
Already wrote it in check it out, peep it gibbe
yep already did same, absolutely exactly. There's nobody is going
out there saying that they're gonna, Oh well, we're gonna
back Spencer Rattler and the Saints.

Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
No Jackson, He's the King of Man, Gotham's new king.

Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
Buzz aldron Liar.

Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
Buzz just socks, by the way, just this isn't aside,
So you know what I'm even talking about when I'm
making that comment. So, Jackson Dart, there's a quote attributed
to him, who knows in today's day? Oh no, I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
I didn't see it. I didn't that.

Speaker 3 (01:16:23):
He doesn't that he doesn't think we landed on him.
He's talking about that. I don't understand. So I send
this to my father, his number one fan, and my dad,
who the entirety of my life. We've talked about the
moon landings and all of it. I was into astronomy
as a kid, all of it. That's why am I.

(01:16:45):
I wanted to call him Lance Armstrong, Neil Armstrong and
buzz Aldron. Okay, you got it now, my dad goes.
So I text him and I said, I said, your boy,
this is from m L football trending New York Giants
working quarterback Jackson Dart does not believe America landed on
the Moon with the Apollo eleven mission ninet six. Now

(01:17:06):
I need to know the whole context. I'm just sending this.
I saw it. Who knows in this day and age especially,
I said, your guy doesn't think we landed on the moon.
My dad goes, I actually agree with him. No you don't, No,
he don't stop it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
My whole life was a lie.

Speaker 5 (01:17:20):
What are you talking? You don't.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
Of course he agrees with he did. He's an educator.

Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
I actually agree with Dart in response to this, my dad.
When my dad backs somebody, he backs them to the hilt.

Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
He is he is, which there's very very little of
that in our society right now. Either very interesting, you.

Speaker 3 (01:17:48):
Know, yeah, I Pedro could be tribalistic that way.

Speaker 5 (01:17:51):
They say. Up next, it's a AFC NFC tilt the
Cowboys on the Road in Jersey taking on the New
York Football Jets. Jets looking for the first win. Cowboys
on the road Zagora.

Speaker 3 (01:18:13):
That I don't like this one at all, crazy about it.
I don't like the I wish the number was actually
bigger and it would make me more inclined to be
on the Cowboys side of it. The Jets with Justin
Fields are a little dynamic, but Dak Prescott is playing
such good football. Something just tells me, though, Something just

(01:18:34):
tells me that this game is gonna be like thirty
one to twenty three at the end of the game
and they're gonna Jets are gonna get some late frantic
Fields runs in a touchdown, and now it's thirty one
to twenty nine and they go for two and they
don't get it. Cowboys win.

Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
That's a great I really like the picture you painted there.
I'm going aim but a little different. Justin Fields is
oh for twenty five. When a team scores more than
twenty against him, that goes to oh in twenty. Dallas
is scoring more than twenty, So they're winning and your
scenario terrifies me. But the fact that it's not three
and a half, eh, I'll take it. Give me the cowboy.

Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
I I if it was three and a half or
four or four and a half, I would one hundred
percent be on the cowboy.

Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
Yeah, it's weird that it's that two.

Speaker 3 (01:19:26):
It feels like they're saying, come walk down that Primrose
path to Dallas, cowboy Land, come walk hold hands with
Jarrah Jerah. How great was he in that Netflix special?
You want to be on his side, don't you. I
mean they're making it too.

Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
Easily, are Yeah? I agree?

Speaker 3 (01:19:39):
Even at three I would feel better about it.

Speaker 5 (01:19:41):
Yeah, Howard, do we go the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles Nance
Romo Tracy Wilson. They're in Philly, Philly hosting Denver. Denver,
remember played Monday night late. Now has to go across
the country for a one o'clock till with the undefeated Eagle.
It's boish.

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
Well, Eels are just doing what they have to do.
They're not really interested in anything flashy, just win advance.
They're worried about December January. So I'm always very very
nervy around their scores. But I think this one for
some of the reasons that give me said, I just
don't fully believe in what Denver is Offensively, I like
the Eagles winning this one by a score of twenty
four to eighteen.

Speaker 3 (01:20:23):
Are we be attacked by dogs?

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
No, no, you guys, wolf there's no wolves. You're inside
being English wolf found it best. You're fine, Irish wolf found.

Speaker 3 (01:20:30):
There's something outside of your door.

Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
Well you're okay, though, You're all right?

Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
Are we.

Speaker 2 (01:20:37):
You're fine? There's no apex predators in London. You're fine.

Speaker 3 (01:20:42):
Tell that the people jack the ripper met.

Speaker 5 (01:20:46):
I'm hitting up the last place.

Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
You Eagles twenty four, Broncos eighteen, same but different.

Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
Only haven't putting anybody away. I like this Denver team.
I like him more than most the Eagles. There's a
little bit of dissension right there. AJ Brown's tweeting out
cryptic things. They don't complete a pass. Yes, they do
enough to win, and they'll do enough to win here.
They'll win, but it won't be so comfortable. Comfortable comfortable.
They're gonna win by the score of twenty eight to
twenty five. The rare twenty five the Mark maguire for

(01:21:20):
the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 5 (01:21:22):
Next up, This one also a candidate for the Inmate
Game of the Week with the g Men and the
Saints Dolphins with no tree kill on the road. This
is Carolina. I don't even know who Eric Collins is,
the play by play guy for Fox.

Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
I don't either.

Speaker 5 (01:21:38):
I've never heard of him. He is really a time
I hope he has a good call.

Speaker 11 (01:21:41):
It's Eric Collins is the guy that calls the Hornets games.

Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
Thanks g Man, G Man, that no Christian drop it
now it's coming in a big way.

Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
He does come in in a big way, that g Man.

Speaker 5 (01:21:53):
Yeah, uh is a girl. I think this is you?

Speaker 3 (01:21:57):
Yeah, this is a there a lot this week.

Speaker 5 (01:22:01):
I stupid.

Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
I would be just staying away from in the real world.
I actually liked what I saw from Miami a little bit.
In that game. I saw a team that had a
little bit of a little bit of fight in them.
Carolina is so up and down it's hard to just
get excited about them. Dolphins go out there, they're looking good.
Thirty one to thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
Sure, same, same, but different. I think Carolina is yo yo,
they're yo yo. So I think this week they yo
yo back up at home. People feeling a little good
about Miami, maybe unjustified. Bryce Young and the Boys get
to win twenty two to nine teen.

Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
Do you think g Man knows that song can't play
with my yo yo?

Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
No yo, No, he does not. I can tell you
that he does. That's a good song, very good song,
very good song. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:22:48):
Absolutely. Round out the one o'clock slate, the Houston Dixon
on the road visiting an injury ravaged Baltimore Ravens football
team bo Bishop Ravens hosting Texans.

Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
It's like Cooper Rush, Cooper Rush and rush and just
bandating it. I just it's hard. I'll do the same
logic I played last week to Kansas City. Do it
is Baltimore really gonna be one in four. Are they
really going to do that? I don't think that. Somehow, Someway,
Derrick Henry twenty seven carries two hundred and twenty six yards. Somehow,

(01:23:25):
Someway give me Baltimore in a gross, gross close game
they win.

Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
Though, No way, dude, you get this is c J.
Stroud against Cooper Rush. I know CJ. Stroud hasn't been
good and I've been a little bit down on him,
But this is Baltimore without everybody, no badabka. I know,
no Roquan Smith, no LeVar Jackson, no no, no chance,

(01:23:50):
no chance. He Uston gets revenge for playoff beatings at
the hands of a full strength Baltimore Ravens team and
they get the win here and the Ravens are in
true rabble. GiB might be time to send a text
to Simone Texans twenty four Hooper Rush three at the time.

Speaker 5 (01:24:08):
They lose, I text him, I go, there's another one.
I don't hear back. I like it. Uh to the
four o'clock window. We go. Titans looking for their first
win of the season on the road in Arizona. Cardinals
Titans Zigura. This one's not This is a pretty gross

(01:24:30):
game too.

Speaker 3 (01:24:30):
I can't do it. They've got to They've got to
actually cover a game before I even think about it.
I can't name it. Arizona by a billion sam it.

Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
Yeah, Titans are completely incompetent right now. I don't even
know what they would be able to do effectively offensively.

Speaker 5 (01:24:44):
This is Callahan's last game, No, no yet, But what
are you gonna have his dad be the interim? Yep?
No right, no, next in the four o'clock window. This
is a nice little game. Tampa Bay on the road
visiting Seattle. The frisky Seahawks hosting Tampa Bay. Bo Bishop.

Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
I don't think they're frisky. I think they're legitimately good,
and I think you're flying all the way across the country.
They've been living on borrowed time in Tampa for the
last few weeks. Yes, BIG's been great in the fourth,
but he's been really average other than that, like sixty
percent completions through a terrible pick last week. I think
Seattle gets it done and in kind of a big way.
Give me the Seahawks four hundred and sixty three, Buccaneers five.

Speaker 3 (01:25:32):
Same, same, same, same Seahawks. Hoym, we did that exercise
the biggest point differentials in the league. I do Seahawks
are good. They are, They're real good. Yeah, this is
a defense that I think is going to give Tampa
Bay some problems and Seattle's offense. I like what they're
doing right now. Jackson Smith and Jigba. Jackson Smith and Jigga.
Who'd have thought, of all the people that have come
out of that school recently, that the two best would

(01:25:53):
be Jackson Smith and Jigba and Amecha Buca better than
Garret Wilson, better than Marv.

Speaker 2 (01:25:59):
Yeah, will Night, Chris Lave. Wilson's a little tough just
because of who he's had to catch passes from, because
I think Wilson's a stud. It's interesting, though, to your
point and to butchers that at no point were either
one of those guys the best receiver on their teams.

Speaker 5 (01:26:13):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:26:14):
I mean, like that's the thing that's really crazy about it.
JSN had that incredible rose ball performance, but other than that,
he didn't have it not like the other guys did.

Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
Yeah, incredible, I'm a big I like to see. By
the way, this is the number one uniform game. Potentially,
if they do it, you gotta do it. Oh, they
are doing it. It's done doing it.

Speaker 2 (01:26:36):
It's done. Gorgeous, it's beautiful. It's a good job.

Speaker 5 (01:26:41):
Now is Montela at halftime like we do?

Speaker 2 (01:26:46):
That's such a win? Good for them?

Speaker 5 (01:26:48):
Absolutely? Uh, next, this should have been a good game.
This is not going to be a good game. Detroit
City on the road in northern Kentucky to battle the
Kentucky Bengals.

Speaker 1 (01:27:01):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
They're a team that hands out beat downs, and right
now Cincinnati is dreadful. This would be one normally where
I would be like no, no, no, no, no, you
gotta just it doesn't matter, Jamar Chase at the back door.
But I don't like anything that they're doing sincinntiwise. And
then I don't know if you guys saw Dan Campbell's
postgame speech after our game and he was like, we won,

(01:27:24):
he said, but I'm gonna be real honest with you.
There was a lot of basically mistakes and bad play. Yeah,
and he's like, we overcame it and that's great and all,
but we've got to be a lot better. And I
felt like it was kind of he was he was
sticking it to him maybe in knowing that this game
where they could come in and sleep walk, would be
would be in the offing. But I don't even think
it matters. They sleep walk for three quarters. Cincinnati is atrocious.

(01:27:47):
Disbanned them lions by a billion, legitimately by a.

Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
Billion, same same, same, same, same, same.

Speaker 5 (01:27:55):
Rounding out the late afternoon, he so Chalky Tony. Maybe
we'll be in the air by this point, I would
have I would have to think will be in the air.
The commis on the road. This is the Fox game
of the week, Commanders visiting Los Angeles and the Chargers
Chargers commis bo bshit.

Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
I think this is a big time bounced back for
the Chargers. Crazy loss they had in New York against
the Giants last week. They're back at home. Jade Daniels
getting back in the mix for Washington. I don't think
it matters. I like I like the Chargers. I think
they're really good. That was a weird, weird one last week.
I like the Chargers big in this one.

Speaker 3 (01:28:36):
That's my squad. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:28:38):
I no.

Speaker 3 (01:28:41):
Terry McLaurin, right, he's still out. Is that correct?

Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
Yeah? But as you've said on many instances, he's not
a franchise.

Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
It's not a big deal. It's not a big deal.
It's not a big deal, but it's something.

Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
Did you go across the pond?

Speaker 3 (01:28:52):
And I'm sticking with what I thought. I like Jayden
Daniels in a dough. I think that they're gonna be
able to keep it close. I think it's very likely
the Chargers win. Maybe Cameron Dicker, you know, when they're
trailing twenty seven to twenty six, puts them through the
uprights and it's twenty nine to twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (01:29:10):
Chargers, same but different, same but different.

Speaker 5 (01:29:14):
You guys have been different on a few here.

Speaker 3 (01:29:16):
Yeah, not too many, too or four Washington and the Chargers, Denver, Philly, Jets, Dallas, Houston, Baltimore,
so forth.

Speaker 5 (01:29:25):
Yeah, that's putty it. Yeah to the final game in
the Sunday Window, Sunday Night Foosball, Patriots on the road
taking on Bill's Mafia, Buffalo hosting New England and Sunday Night.

Speaker 3 (01:29:41):
I think New England's good. I think Drake Mays gonna
find out, I really do. I think Vraves this is
a spot where Braves' Tennessee teams would always find a
way to keep this one close. I like that you
get that hook on the back side of it. I
think Buffalo wins the game, and I don't even know
if it's necessarily in doubt, although I do think it
might be a one possession game the whole way, and
Buffalo is gonna end up winning this one. Thirty five

(01:30:02):
twenty eight, you see.

Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
A very similar game. I really wish I didn't have
to deal with a hook on this. I wish it
was just I wish it was just seven. Sure, but
I do think Buffalo wins by ten. But I see
the game going exactly the way you do, and I
don't think it'll ever be in doubt. It'll be really competitive,
just maybe by a little bit more than one score
on that one. All right, us, of course in London

(01:30:27):
against the Vikings, Gibbe, When do the folks need to
start tuning in?

Speaker 5 (01:30:32):
We'll be on the air with Brown's Game Day six
thirty am, Ken Carmen and Girod Cherry across the Pond
At seven thirty it is the Cleveland Browns Kickoff Show
with Andy Baskin, Tybas Poll and Ken Carmon. And then
at nine to twenty am we take it live in
the booth Andrew Siciliano, Nathan Zakura Gerrod Sherry Brown's vikings

(01:30:57):
from London from across the Pond.

Speaker 2 (01:31:03):

My hunches. They'll be fine. But he's not going to
bury anybody. He's not in the movie. They only had
six possessions last week at Washington, so I think they'll
