up over under three forty five Brooke prior four o'clock,
Keys to victory at four twenty. Your scores coming in
at four point thirty. It is the Browns. It is
the Steelers. How you living, buddy? I'm doing well, man,
Steelers week. Let's go. Let's get ready. It's beautiful out there.
(00:53):
What what Fela? What feel is it?
Speaker 3 (00:57):
I already did it, man, I didn't send it to him.
He wanted the insider for his insiders. Looking for the
insiders there, get the insiders report.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
That's what you need, that's what you need to do. Yeah,
that's the way that's gotta go. I feel good, man,
feel good. Let's go. Let's go. We're ready to roll.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Oh oh, let me start as well. You're welcome scores.
That was a layup. Yesterday. That was a layup, layup.
Never in doubt. Never, No, was not in doubt. I'm
guessing you had a fun time texting with your father.
Oh he was just so chesty cloud nine. I bet
he was like, I really do, Like, do you think
he's going to switch allegiance?
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I think right now, if it's a Niners Giants NFC
Championship game, I can't say for certain what.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
He's gonna do. It's amazing he had remind me in
the break be like just the absurdity of it. Had
one great line that you're.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Would you rather have Hello Gibbett, Hi Rock Party Slash
Mac Jones or would you rather have Jackson Dark rather Jackson?
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I think the better question is would he rather have
Jackson Dart and Cam Scattaboo or Brock Purty, Mac Jones,
Christian McCaffrey, Brian Robinson, Brandon Ayuk and George Kittle And
he still might take the two Giants. Ricky Pearsall Pears Oh, sorry,
Ricky Pearsall might make him question it, but the rest
of that it's probably still I think let's go the
(02:24):
two for two. Well, you take the two for two
In a second, I know he's going to take the Giants.
Would you rather have Skataboo and dart Or Purty and
and McCaffrey. Yeah, he's going to take the two Giants.
And Christian McCaffery is one of the best players in
the He is not right now a rational man or No,
he's going to take the two Giants for sure. I
(02:51):
know he's going to pick the two Giants. It's a
heavy favorite that he's going to take the two Giants.
You know what it is about the two of those.
As we wait for his response, Doctor Jay and I
were talking about this because we were talking about like,
what does this mean for the Giants long term?
Speaker 5 (03:06):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
I don't know if it means anything. I don't know
if it means anything. I don't know if it means
they have the quarterback of the future. I don't know
that it means that they have the quarterback for a
month from now. But here's what I do know. On
a Thursday night in October, if you were at that
game as a Giants fan, you had the time of
your life. Yeah, fielding pretty good, You're feeling really good,
and I think as sports fans, we forget you know,
what we're doing, and there's all this analysis of what's
(03:28):
the right thing to do long term, and you got
to worry about cap space here, and you got to
worry about getting this quarterback here and this here. Dude,
there's value and having fun for your fans. Yes, And
the New York Giants fans had fun last night.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yes, they had a great How could they not have fun?
They beat down the Eagles where it feels like in disarray.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
I mean they can't. I don't know what happens at halftime,
but they come out a different team and in the
words of Bootsy, a worser team, much worser. They're much worser. Yeah,
in the second half. It's crazy what happens to them.
I mean they were they first half, Okay, fine, a
little bit of a shootout. Let's see what happens. You
go into halftime, and then that happened down in Tampa.
Wasn't Jalen Hurts oz for eight in the second half
(04:09):
or was that that was? Was that the Tampa game
when he did that? Or was?
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:14):
But it's like, no, they've got they have some real
issues when it comes to whatever goes in at halftime,
whatever they come out, they're just different. Jalen Hurts Smiths
to throw to DeVonta Smith. That was as open as NFL.
That's as open as a high school quarterback can be. Yeah,
And I don't understand how you don't put enough air
on that to just let him run throw it.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
No.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I mean, it's the only thing you can do is
overthrow it. Put a little air on it and away
you go. And that would have changed things, I think
a little bit, but didn't. And and so they have
some issues in this Giants team. Is what you get
when you have a rookie quarterback. And we probably all
skept on Scataboo a little bit. He was tough to
tackle in college and sometimes that translates. I don't know
if it's a five year thing or it'll be Peyton
(04:54):
hill as who knows. But it's very fun. It's really fun.
And he there's a McNeil, the Great McNeil had a
great tweet last night of whether he gets the ball
or not Cam Scataboo and it was the Simpsons gift
of the of the person flying through the window with like, yeah,
(05:14):
that's what he is. He just reckless a bit. Yeah,
I mean, I can't imagine it's sustainable, but it's sure
fun for right now, it's so fun.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
That's the thing that they are a very, very fun team,
and that's great for their fans now. At the same time,
last week they probably weren't very fun for their friend
because they went down to New Orleans and lost. But
when you do win, that's fun, and they did win
on national TV. I was on a programmer earlier today
where somebody's like, oh, man, did the Browns blow it?
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Not?
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Yeah? Getting dark? Well, why didn't you ask me.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
This last week?
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Right, where were you last week? I wish they had
a good response. That's not how this works. We only
ask you when he does something really good, that's right.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah, but yeah, it's just we'll see, we'll see. But
that was that was fun. Both of those guys.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
It feels like you need to make some adjustments to
their style to make it seventeen games.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Jackson Dart hurled his head into a defender's helmet trying
to get a first down, and that's that's a nice
thing that you're excited about as a rookie. I know
you saw this play that that is not something that
can happen for long term success in the league.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
And headbutting is a celebration, and headbutting is any is
not a great idea. No, it's not take it for
me where I'm a we're older men. We remember Gus
Farrott knocked himself out of a game. He did headbutting
the wall the wall, that's right, it hell did he did?
Speaker 4 (06:35):
He did do that?
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Be careful, no, for sure, but it's it's fun for
now for them, and and I'm happy about it, and
very for Philly there is I still think they're gonna
they'll be fine. I mean they were playing with that
Jalen Carter last night. But and maybe that's a little
bit part of because he can be pretty disruptive when
you talking about our all pro in the middle. But
everybody's got injuries already. Offensively, they are just they're just
(06:58):
off right now. And I think they'll be fine. I mean,
this happened last year a little bit and they were
a little bit. There's still Super Bowl Champce. They they
know when to turn it on. I still think they'll
get there. I'm not worried about them. I'm not.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
I wouldn't say that I'm worried. But they're offensive situation.
It's a new offensive coordinator and it has not been great.
I think the guy's name starts with a pete Patulo.
Patulo is under fire right now. He's under siege. Uh,
and it has not it's not been great. Saquon Barkley,
you know he is struggling. Yeah, I think three point
(07:32):
four yards of carry. This is a guy who the
year before averaged five point eight yards of carry. You
look at they call it like success rate of their runs.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
Now.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
The weird thing about it is last year was an
anomaly in his career fifty two point per This is
kind of where he was with the Giants in two
of the last three seasons there. But they're not getting
the long runs. His long run on the season right
now is eighteen yards.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
No breakaways, no breakaways, and that's what they did so
well last year. So it's uh, it's interesting. Hurts is struggling.
I also think that they did something in this game
that will I think fortunately have a big change in
the NFL, which is a big change for them, and
they blew it. They brought this on themselves.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Tush push, tush push, tush push, tush push four in
a row. It was gross. It was gross. Right guards
off sides fall starting on every single one of them.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
It's gross. That was like watching a rugby square wasn't football.
And I think I agree with Mopedman. They need to
ban pushing behind the line of scrimmage. When somebody's down
the field, if it's a run and there's they get
stood up and you could go and platform forward a
few that's.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
I got one for you. Let's just ban pushing period.
That's fine. No offense. An offensive player cannot push another
offensive player. That's it. I think sometimes we give way
too much credence to forward progress, like if somebody gets
and then like just barely and then they get slammed back,
like where's the ball?
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Rest?
Speaker 2 (08:55):
I I get get rid of all the offensive pushing.
You're pushing, I'm put rid of as. Let's get rid of.
Speaker 7 (09:01):
All of it.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
So it's not something on just the Eagles, like, get
rid of it. Just get her offensive players. Pushing from
behind is illegal. There's a time that it was in college.
I don't know if it's pushing behind the line because
that's the famous bush push play YEP in the USC
Notre Dame game in South Bend where Brady Quinn was
at Notre Dame at that time, and they grew the
(09:22):
grass up really high to slow down the USC offense
and Bush pushed Matt Liinert into the end zone. That
something that retrospective, retroactively should have been a flag throne wasn't.
I don't know what the rule is now in college.
You never see it in college now. My guess is
that it's probably legal, but I think just get rid
of all of it, and then that's Saul, because you're right,
that's not it. What we saw that that gross was bad.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
It was bad.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
It's gross, and I think that all that took.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
I think the public buy and large didn't care. Like
I think there were some people who thought were against it.
And it was one team that had an advantage with
their quarterback and all of that. But I think that
doing it last night the way they did it, like
if they had gone tush push, run, run, and then
a tush push again, I don't.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Think anybody's defiant. It was the four in a row.
Was it was a bridge too far. They're defiant with it. Yeah,
they're saying this is legal. You can't stop us we're
gonna keep doing it.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
It was gross.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
It was bad.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
It was gross. Yeah, it was bad.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
So speaking of gross, so I had I I'm so
frustrated that I have to bounce in and out of
apps and stuff. It drives me nuts to have to
go into I can't stand going into the apps and
being stuck in the apps. So, like, I go into
Prime to watch the game. So I was in my
office watching and I was for some reason, got hooked
on the baseball I don't know, Dodgers of my youth,
(10:44):
I guess. So I watched a deciding game five, and
that's on cable. So in my office only have one TV,
so I couldn't bounce back and forth. So I was
trying to watch the NFL game on my phone as
as I was watching that. So then I went downstairs.
Then I got the three TV setups, so I had
them all on at the same time. So I picked
up the baseball game. In the fourth inning of the game,
(11:07):
there were twenty four strikeouts in an eleven inning game
between the two teams. There were eleven g Man, there
were eleven total hits in an eleven inning game. But
it's worse than that. Mookie Bets plays shortstop for the Dodgers.
This is the position I played when I when I
(11:27):
played in the youth, and that was short stop.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
I didn't pitch, but I played shortstop. You didn't pitch,
There was no I'm surprised it's there because I threw
a quarterback. Yeah, I never did. You don't how many
balls Mookie Bets got hit to him from the third
inning on playing shortstop. Zero, yeah, goose egg. There was
one hit to shortstop the whole game. I found out
(11:51):
today was Enrique her Hernandez hit one at Trey Turner
at short one ball. You think about when you were
a kid watching Walt I, oh yeah, at short how
many balls he fielded? Do you think about when we
were like in our formative age, like how shortstop was
this incredibly glorified position of Jeter and a Rod and
Garcia Para and all those guys coming up once no mo,
(12:13):
all those guys coming up like that was Azzy Smith.
Well that's before it. Yeah, I felt like you watch
a Cardinals game in the in the late eighties, like
Ouzzie Smith's field at fifteen balls a game, there was
one ball hit to shortstop the whole game. Well, it's
I think I think it's part of it is the
analytics of it.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Think about you just in the shortstop, played shortstop, the
second base and played second base, first base like people
played where they played the whole game. Now you have
there are certain when left handed hitters are up, who
are pool hitters are shortstops playing behind second base. So
anything up in the middle, he gets the third basement's
playing over kind of in the shortstop area.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Yeah, they're just there weren't even balls in play though,
I mean, it just wasn't. It was just everything was
in the air or struck out.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
And it's like watching the tough guards on the Tigers
or yeah, no offense.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
No, it's a tough watch and there's not much excitement
to it. So it's the most baseball I've watched in
probably two or three years. Yeah, and I was like, yeah,
I'm good, I'll check back in at the World Series
and see how the Dodgers are doing it or non plus,
I was non plussed.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
It was tough, tough watch.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
And it's not even like it was a one to
one off you in the winning run in the bottom
of the eleventh, it's on an.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Error like Greg Maddox where these guys were dealing and
they weren't overpowering anybody. They were just awesome pictures.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Now it's just all everybody throws a hundred. I don't
know if there was a pitcher last night that pitched.
And by the way, like the Dodgers relieved their starter
in the sixth, he had given up I don't know,
like two hits and eight k's and they pulled him
in the sixth got oade managed. I was like, what
is going on? And then everybody that followed him all
through Gas everyone was ninety eight one hundred. Everybody from
(13:51):
the Phillies was ninety eight one hundred, and it was
just like what am I watching? A couple of hacks
at it and it fouled off and then strikeout, fly
out that nobody did anything. It was brutal, brutal watch.
But for some reason I got hooked into it, and
and that's the way that it went. Practice is wrapped
up here for the week. We head to Pittsburgh tomorrow
(14:13):
the game of course, at one o'clock. Your final injury
report is out for your Cleveland Browns. By call is
again six weeks. Yeah, man, I know it's the injury
just refresher. Don't do we know.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Exact knee injury that needed surgery last year. But he
was supposed to be ready for camp right or at
least the beginning of the season, and he wasn't placed
on injured reserve, which means they did not expect him
to miss four games, and yet.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
We have.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
So it's, uh, it's definitely a little surprising to be
where we are.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Yeah, right now, Yeah, it's it's very surprising.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
Well, he's obviously had it. I mean, clearly, you don't
need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.
Now we're have we gotten any of you know, the
insight into that. No, will we probably not.
Speaker 8 (14:58):
No.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
I curious to know what's going on, but they don't
have to share that kind of injury stuff. Now what's
weird is he's putting in practices like limited practices, but
apparently it's not any closer to going and so he's
basically has he has eaten up a fifty three man spot.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
For six weeks. Yeah, yeah, so very disappointing. Everybody else
is good to go. The billion dollar question, who is
your backup quarterback? This work? This week? In Pittsburgh. It
is Shodoor Sanders, Sador Sanders.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
There you go, so there you go. How about it?
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Unless the fact is, you know, obviously nobody ere. You
don't want to see the backup quarterback. You want you
started to be healthy and playing well and hopefully Dylan
Gabriel can do that and his first start going into Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
What is it about that place other than how good
their teams are that makes it difficult? Or is it
just their teams are good?
Speaker 3 (15:54):
I mean they've been good, but that doesn't mean we
have won there since two thousand and three in the
regular season.
Speaker 5 (15:59):
Yeah, I'm oh and twelve. Yack told me today, who's
our great spot or who's going on the trip? He's oh,
in twenty, He's oh in twenty over there.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Yeah, they're better, they've been better. It's known, but like usually,
you fluke into something.
Speaker 5 (16:17):
And we've seen some moments there.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah. And then the cruel part of it is is
the one time you did win, it was in the
playoffs and it was cool, but it was in front
of two hundred.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
People, yep, and we were back here calling the game at.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
How many people were in there that night or when
you were there.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Four hundred.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
Two of my goofball friends got in somehow even ended
up in places that you shouldn't have been allowed.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Well, there was I mean, if you were in, if
you were right, you were in. Yeah, like if you
were in. What it was just that the first few
rows behind each of the benches.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
That's it. That was a whole the whole stadium.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
It was weird.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Do you ever look back on that? I like that
year for you, I gone by yourself to cover games
and there was nobody like some of I mean, that's
just so all of that kind of bleeds for me. No,
I remember it.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
What I really The one that jumps out to me
the most was Baltimore because that was truly a nobody
was there game. That was Week one. Truly nobody was
there to me, the Ushers and the Ravens band.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
There had been no preseason games, remember like that. The
first game was week one, Week one. Yeah, there was
no trial and error with the whole calling it off
of TVs.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Nothing.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Okay, good luck, jeez, here you go, crazy absolutely crazy. Yeah,

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Welcome back to Cleveland Browns Daily, brought to you by
bally betefficial sports betting partner of your Cleveland Brown's very
happy now to be joined by representatives from two great
companies and great partners. Mursy Key for the president of
the University Hospitals Rainbow and Babies and Children's and Alex
Harris from the Cleveland co Op, vice president of Great Clips.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
And you guys have partnered.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
There's a Great Clips Children Miracle Network Hospitals partnership to
really try to do some good in the community. And
so Alex, I'll start with you. Why is this partnership
so important to you? And how can people participate?
Speaker 6 (19:09):
Yes, well, this partnership is very important to us Great
Clips franchises here in Cleveland. We are in twenty in
our twenty first year of partnership and have raised over
eleven million.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Dollars system wide. Last year we raised.
Speaker 6 (19:25):
Over twenty seven thousand dollars, and this year, as a
dog Pound fortieth anniversary, our goal is to raise forty
thousand dollars locally so customers can stop into any Great
Clips salon in Northeast Ohio between September twenty second, twenty
sixth and November tewod and receive a two dollars off
coupon for their next haircut.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
For any donation.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
That's fantastic and Marissa this money, it would be great
forty thousand dollars in honor of the fortieth anniversary of
the Dog Pound, which is I love that tie in
right there. How does that help what you are doing
at Rainbow Babies and Children's.
Speaker 7 (20:02):
Yeah, each day we provide amazing care to our patients
and their families, and so donations like this can provide
services for our families for things that health insurance doesn't reimburse,
so like our family support services, our child life, our
pet health programs, and things that really go above and
beyond to make a children's hospital and a children's hospital
(20:23):
experience what it is. And so we're really able to
use those funds to help support that.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Again, you can donate to your local member children's hospitals
from September twenty sixth and November two at participating Great
Clips salons and ours locally obviously will benefit you H
Rainbow Babies and Children's and one hundred percent of the
funds go directly to the local member children's hospitals. Right,
so one hundred percent of the funds you donate, we'll
go to UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Absolutely and that's huge, right,
(20:52):
that's one of the things obviously that is that's very important.
And for Great Clips why is it so important? And
locally it's university hospitals, But if you look, you know,
over time, you guys, in twenty twenty four, over eighteen
hundred Great Clips raised over nine hundred and sixty thousand
for children's hospitals. Why is it so important for Great
Clips to be involved with these children's hospitals.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
Well, it's just an opportunity for us to give back
to our local communities and support these hospitals doing great
things to help children.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
In the area.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
And you mentioned obviously anybody who's going to have a
child at Ua Rainbow and Babies and children's it's going
to be that is a tough situation. And so these
are funds that we'll go to try to make what
is a difficult experience as good as possible, right, in
terms of the comforts around from obviously getting the best
care in the world that you can get at Uh.
Speaker 7 (21:41):
Absolutely, we know we provide the best care, but we
also know that we provide a great patient experience because
no family wants to be on our walls, and so
we are able to do that those things that are
the extra miles. So really our play therapy services things
to make things less scary for the patients, and we're
really able to go above and beyond to provide that care,
(22:01):
beyond the outstanding clinical care that we provide every day.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
And now it's on your side. Great Clips.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
It's the Great Deeds, right, not just great haircuts, but
you guys are doing great deeds. Why is that so
important to your company in general and the franchisees locally
but nationally. Obviously everybody's got to be involved because you
guys have raised so much money and it's not just
for children's hospitals. You guys do so many things. Why
is that so important kind of to your company's ethos?
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Yeah, so company.
Speaker 6 (22:29):
Why last year we raised over fifty thousand dollars. The
Great Deeds program is just this Children's Miracle Network is
just one piece of that. Of course, in November, we'll
be offering free haircuts for any veterans that would like
to come into two Great Clips salons. We offer Clips
of Kindness for free haircuts for anyone going through chemotherapy,
(22:50):
and then wigs for kids.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
In the same idea of providing wigs for children that
need them. Wow, that's awesome.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
And then mursa from the UH perspective, you know sometimes
you see those oh for every one hundred dollars we
were able to do this kind of can you put
into maybe something tangible? What if if we can hit
that forty thousand dollars goal for the fortieth anniversary of
the Dog Pound, what that could actually mean on the ground,
you know, for people at UH Rainbow Babies and Children's.
Speaker 8 (23:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (23:16):
Absolutely, so if we're able to raise that forty thousand dollars,
we can really provide the care and the things that
they need to provide that play therapy, So things like
extra dollars or extra tools. We're able to provide staff
support through our child that helps support our childlife therapists
who are really those individuals who are specially trained to
(23:38):
provide these services and so they can it can go
a long way in providing the care that we need.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
All right, So give us kind of out wrap it
up for us.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
People go to Great Clips and from September twenty sixth
to November second, they go to participating Great Clips and
they have the opportunity to donate. If they do, they'll
receive a coupon for two dollars off their next haircut.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Right, it's just that easy to do good.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
You get a great cut, look great, a great clip
as it were, You look great, and you've done a
lot of great for UA, Rainbow Babies and children's Yep.
Speaker 6 (24:08):
Just come in, get a haircut, make any donation you'd like,
and you'll get two hours off your next visit.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Well, this is awesome, and certainly let's go ahead and
let's come on Cleveland Northeast, Ohio. Let's hit this forty
thousand dollars goal. It does so good, so much good
for people who.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Certainly need it.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Marissa, want to thank you for being with us today. Alex,
thank you, and thanks for your partnership and for the
good that you're doing for this community.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Thank you. All right there you go, good stuff with
Z there the guys uh coming up next though right now?
In fact, I'll get it. I look tan, brother, you
look great, look great.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
For those we're firing off a number of things at you,
you're doing just fine. Duck, dodge and dive.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Let's go dodger rench you can dodge a ball. Let's
head to the podium. Now presented by vivid seats per
Sure official fan experience package shape for the ultimate game day.
Here's your head coach, Kevin Stefanski.
Speaker 9 (24:56):
Okay, good crisp practice out there, please with how this
group worked all week. And then obviously I understand the
challenge that that we have this week in the division
on the road, good football team, So I have to
play our best, need need our our Yeah, play your
best when your best is required, and obviously that's what
(25:17):
our focus has been as an offensive defense and a
special teams this week. So excited about the opportunity. But
with that, I will take any questions, maybe.
Speaker 5 (25:25):
Trade on a Wednesday night, like how difficult does that?
Speaker 4 (25:27):
And what have you seen from Tyson since he's been here.
Speaker 9 (25:30):
Yeah, happened late at night, like you mentioned, So you
want to make sure you talk to a bunch of
the guys. I didn't get a chance to talk to
Greg until that next morning. But yeah, the guys. I
think Coach Schwartz summed it up very well. I mean
those are tough because you get so close to your
teammates and that type of thing. But we're excited about
Tyson coming in here. He's a really good football player.
(25:52):
He's already. He fits in really well culturally, personally, and
I think schematically this is a really good football player
that we're excited to have.
Speaker 7 (26:02):
If Shador is ready to be your number two quarterback
for this.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
Game, yeah, Shudor will be a backup. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (26:09):
Like I told you guys on Wednesday, I'm always thinking
about our players and what's best for our players, and
I want to make sure when it comes to young
football players, particularly at the quarterback position, that you are
intentional about your decision making.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
And that's really all.
Speaker 7 (26:24):
It is.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
So excited for all of our guys having.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Never been in a number two role, So what's the
key to this week.
Speaker 9 (26:31):
And even Sunday, I think it's I think the big
thing there is all of us play our role throughout
the weekend on Sunday and obviously that backup quarterback role
is a little bit different. We're doing everything we can
to support the starter, and then you have to be
ready in a moment's notice. That's just the life of
backup players at every position. And we've said that you
(26:52):
know here over the years all the time that you
have to stay ready so you don't have to get ready.
But again that's that's our job as coaches, as play
players to be ready when called upon.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Only taking two quarterbacks, then to for this game. We've
done it before. He talked about Aaron Rodgers might be
the best thrower.
Speaker 5 (27:11):
I think you see, I guess. I mean, we've all
seen him. But what do you like most?
Speaker 4 (27:16):
And is your throw that stands out from all the
times you've gone against them? Seen a lot of them.
Speaker 9 (27:22):
Yeah, just natural arm talent, the whippiness of his motion
and how the ball comes out of his hand. I've seen,
unfortunately a lot of those throws as a coach with
the Vikings. I can remember early in his tenure when
he came in and you know, not a lot was
known about him. Obviously, you know, a top pick in
the first round but hadn't played. But just the natural
(27:45):
ability to rip the ball to all areas of the
field was very, very impressive.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Where's rogers for you? On arm talent that you've seen
in the league, like all time? Yeah, I mean that's
not what he is now, but like no, but like
at his peak, at his peak, it's way up there.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
I don't know if he makes the mount rushmore, though.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
He might make. He might be the George Washington on
the Mount Rushmore of accuracy plus velocity, he might be
that he might be the number one at that.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
I think from pure armtown standpoint, the Mount Rushmore that
I would be contemplating from just again, pure armtown standpoint
would be.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Marino. Yeah, l way, yep, Jeff would be on that list.
Jeff Georgia behind. I was going to save him for last,
but he's on there. I mean, he's Jeff George.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Those three Moon had a rope, Randall Cunningham, Mike Vick.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Mike Vick had an absolute rocket cannon cannon. Yeah, you know,
he's probably the strongest arm I ever saw, and he
just could it was a flick. Yeah, I think he
might be flick now. I don't know if he could,
you know, because like that that urban legend like around
JaMarcus Russell was real like he could throw at eighty
(29:11):
yards he could like he could do that, but it
just was there was zero accuracy at all.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
But the arm talent was the arm talent. Rogers might
be the best combination of accuracy and velocity though, I
mean he's in that Marino. Oh yeah realmah of just
could put it anywhere. I agree, Yeah, he was unreal.
He was unreal for a long time. You hit on
that yesterdayed and contemplated that he'd only been.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
In one Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
Yeah, only so weird that they didn't get over that more.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
No, And that's it's It's one of those things when
you think about his accomplishments and you think about what
you know his resume is to have only appeared in
that as a big hole on that resume.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
What does it have in common with the guy he proceeded,
Samesi's yeah, far the same thing. Yeah, just won the
one Super Bowl, won a bunch of far a bunch
of MVPs too. I think he won three, Rogers won
four four, Yeah, seven m vps. Yeah, but just two
Super that for all. It's great. It's wild because they
actually have For the longest time, I thought it was
(30:15):
going to be the Colts that had this quarterback lineage.
The Niners have obviously had a great quarterback lineage in
their history. But to go from because don Kowski wasn't
a stiff and then mad straight to Farv to Rogers
to Love in succession. But is wild. It's it's the
master class of it. But it's also it's crazy they
(30:36):
only won two Super Bowls with all that because the
worst ballot locks it went to three, right because far lost,
Tow lost to Elway, Yeah, and then beat the Patriots
lost to Elway and Rogers beat the Patriots. Is that
like a Desmond Howard big return in that game? There was,
But I don't think that game was particularly close. If
memory serves, I would my mind size Yeah, in thirty
(31:01):
eight twenty four or something like that. I mean, the
Packers were the better team, yea for sure. And then
the other one is Gibbey's buddy getting spun by the
by the Packers on the on the sneak with a Way.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Yeah, that did it.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
And they were huge favorites in that game.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
All right?
Speaker 2 (31:19):

for your Cleveland Browns in terms of perceptions tight end,
Harold Fan and Harold, We've got to talk a few
times because you're out there making plays.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
So let me ask you this.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
Now, five games in your NFL career, they'll be like
halfway through your college season. Now you're not even a
third of the way through your your first rookie season. Here,
what's this all been like now? And do you feel
like you've kind of really settled into the NFL game?
Speaker 8 (32:28):
Yeah, you know, going to the games now, you know,
obviously I'm way more common, you know, probably say a
lot more focused details things like that.
Speaker 3 (32:40):
Yeah, have you blocked more in these five weeks than
you have did in your entire college career?
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Probably?
Speaker 3 (32:47):
The answer you probably blocked more in one week than
you did in your entire college career.
Speaker 8 (32:51):
Well, I'll say last year, yeah, probably. Yeah, Well, like
my college career.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
Nah.
Speaker 4 (32:55):
Well yeah, last game was definitely you know, one of
those type of games man. Yeah, thse in there.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Physical front.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Well it's gonna be another physical front here going to Pittsburgh,
but we'll get there in a second.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Number one, what'd you think of the trip to London?
Speaker 4 (33:08):
That was dope, man, I've never been out the country
that my first time. It was dope. You know, great game,
atmosphere and things like that. Pretty fun.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
And you got your first touchdown, got your first touchdown
in the National Football League in London.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
I don't know if that counts because it was overseas.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
No, it counts. That's your first career touchdown. That counts.
You have the ball, right, Yeah, I got it?
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Okay, all right, all right?
Speaker 3 (33:27):
When the plays called in the huddle, I was talking
with your your tight end coach, Christian Jones yesterday. He said,
as soon as you heard to play a call, he
was like, there's a good chances to be Harold's touchdown.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Did you were you thinking that too?
Speaker 4 (33:39):
Yeah? When I took my first step and he like bit,
I was like, oh yeah, free. It was so free.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
So it was hard not to be like too excited
because you have to imagine. I imagine, so you get
to play call and you know, all right, I got
to sell it enough. But you're also probably thinking your mind, like,
let me just get out there so I can get
the ball.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Is that a tough balance to sell enough of the
block so that you can age them into that before
you get out there.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (34:02):
Yeah, you don't want to, you know, think too much
after catching the touch down, you know, catching the ball whatever.
Uh you know I was kind of like already like
midway catching this, so I can see what she was
talking about. Yeah, but yeah, obviously, man, you so excited
in the moment. You got to make sure you do
the first thing to catch the ball.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
What did everybody say to you after you got your touchdown?
Speaker 4 (34:21):
I don't even remember.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
Did you do a celebration? I don't remember we were
doing in the brackets. I don't remember if there was
a crazy was there.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
A not that simple? I just pointed up, man, thank
the man upstairs. I was really it.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
That was it in your mind going into it.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
Had you planned like if when I catch touchdown, I'm
going to do this, But then in the moment, it
was just you were caught up in the moment, so
you forgot.
Speaker 8 (34:39):
It was so funny because you're going to play obviously
the night before and I did the same thing. I
just pointed up and there.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Go, there it goes, Hey, practice makes perfect, right, there
we go. Yeah, what's it been like for you being
in that tight end room? Obviously I got a chance
to know you're a tight end coach yesterday great guy
got really impressive. And then obviously you got David in
there and Blake and sal But what's it been like,
you know, being in there with with David and you
guys both getting the end zone in the same game.
You're already laughing, He's entertaining, He's gonna bring the energy,
(35:07):
There's no doubt about that.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
What's it been like being in there with those guys?
Speaker 4 (35:10):
I mean, obviously it's been great man.
Speaker 8 (35:11):
You know, David is an outgoing person there for a while,
a lot of experience you can tell you. You know,
you just love to plays, love to building things like that.
His energy is very contagious, so you know, obviously coming
here to work every day is always always fun when
David here.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
How are you feeling when you got off the flight
to London because we was a red eye we fly
through the night. Were you able to sleep on the plane?
Speaker 4 (35:32):
Yeah, yeah, yes, you know, I was blessed.
Speaker 8 (35:35):
You know, I had like one of those like lay
down seats or whatever, so I wasn't too too tired,
but I could definitely, I definitely felt song.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Were you on his bus from there to the hotel? No, No,
I was okay. There was a lot of music playing
on his particular bus, which I'm very happy I was
not on that bus because I I don't sleep all
on planes. Gibbey and I were pretty big guys here
representing Bowling Green over there, the Bowling Green connection.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
We were not in laying since at all. We were
basically sitting in each other's laps, so there was no sleep.
So I was just glad when I was on the
bus at least I got a chance to get a
little shut eye.
Speaker 7 (36:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Was that wild for you though? Kind of just the
whole experience, right, like, go you fly in, we go
off to this resort kind of there's a field carved
into a grove of trees.
Speaker 4 (36:17):
Basically, Yeah, it was definitely a dope experience.
Speaker 6 (36:20):
Man.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Like, like I said, it's being out the country, you know,
for the first time.
Speaker 8 (36:24):
I'm definitely an eye opener, you know, definitely make me
want to, you know, go explore things like that more.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
Did you get into London on the day when you
guys could go into London?
Speaker 8 (36:32):
Yeah, one shopping, you know what. I was sal you know,
a couple of other guys and uh yeah, we had
a great time.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Did you get anything anything special?
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Nothing special? Okay, just really sic. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
I will say this, the food that we had at
that place. I've been with the team now since twenty thirteen,
so when you were in like middle school, probably that
is the best food that we have ever had on
a road trip. So I don't want you to think
that like that is that is the standard.
Speaker 10 (37:00):
Not That was.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
Yeah, way, way unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
That was unbelievable setup we had.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Yeah, the breakfast was great. It was great.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
This breakfast.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
They're known for that over there, they're known for that.
All Right, we talked about this week. You mentioned the
challenge obviously with Minnesota. Now here comes another big challenge,
right the Pittsburgh Steelers, And that is a one of
those defenses. You grew up in this area. You know,
you've heard about the Steelers, Blitsburg, all of that TJ.
Watt Defensive Player of the Year. Cam Hayward's still on
that team. They've got a ton of guys up front.
Different front now he hit that back to that five
man front. Yeah, when you guys kind of put them
(37:32):
on tape and they've been opportunistic, they get the football.
So they got ten takeaways. What have you kind of
seen from that team? And how excited you mentioned last
week you're blocking? I manage there's be a lot more
physicality this week as well.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (37:41):
First, I was just gonna say, it's kind of crazy
because me and my brother used actually grow up watching
the Steelers. So I think it's kind of crazy that
I'm like sitting here and not watching them on the
field film prepared for him.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
When you say watching the Steelers, what do you mean
by that?
Speaker 4 (37:52):
Uh, you know, like getting getting prepared for him.
Speaker 8 (37:54):
You know, uh, you know, see they personnel, see how
we're gonna run our plays, things like that. Okay, you
tell you know they got a good front.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
Five Uh you know when you were growing up where
you're you're rooting for the Browns.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
No, I didn't. I wasn't really into football, like like
getting on TV.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Okay, I was just more.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Just just play it, you know, things like.
Speaker 8 (38:13):
Yeah, my brother was the one who you know, forcing
you know, the family to sit down and watch the Steelers.
Speaker 4 (38:17):
Okay, that's where it actually comes from.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
So he used a Steelers fan, your brother? Yes, okay,
that's what I was getting. A's Pittsburgh peepole over here,
big Steelers fan, sad I hate to see man.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
Yeah, brown shirt on too.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
I know you hate to say it's not true. He
really that he does think they have the best nachos
in the NFL. Also not true, but I digress. So
your brother, so just talk what's going on in the
house right now? Is this like see like I hope
you have a good game, but I hope is he
rooting for the Steelers or is like, come on, this
is blood.
Speaker 4 (38:43):
No, he's definitely root for me.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Okay, you know, so I was the Browns. I heard you.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Is he rooting for the Browns? I don't know. I
ain't asked him about that, but honestly, the Browns.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
If you're root for me, well you could say, like,
you know what, I'd love you to have one hundred
yards and two touchdowns, but I'd like the Steelers to
win thirty one to night.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
Yeah, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
No, all in.
Speaker 8 (38:59):
I'm not gotta go checkay Taj.
Speaker 3 (39:05):
This is your blood here. Look at him, Cleveland Brown
strength shirt on caught his first touchdown. We need one
hundred percent. We need you locked in for this game,
pro Cleveland Browns. You can roof of the Steelers next week.
Actually you shouldn't, but you can, but all Browns this week.
I feel like there's gotta be some family pressure, like.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
Come on, none at all, none at all. No, we
locked it. You ain't got worry about it. I'm not
worried about it. All right.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
So this is I think if you score in this one,
there's got to be some type of a celebration that
targets your brother specifically.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
I gotta think about one. I got that, you think, Yeah,
I any hope with that?
Speaker 5 (39:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (39:35):
Okay, Well listen, we got a brain trusts. You're always
welcome to come to the studio anytime. We got the
Bowling Green brain trust up there.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
Just locking. We'll come up with something, right there. I
gotta ask you, so he wouldn't I told you the
storry before, but I don't know if we ever got
anywhere with it. But the day you were drafted. The
day you came in, he had his pin on. Because
you're a basketball bowling green basketball. Did you get a
pin like this? It's like the the falcon. Did you
get that for playing? For playing? It's like a goldpin
(40:04):
for being a VRCY athlete.
Speaker 4 (40:05):
No, I never got that, man. I got to call
it a school.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Yes, crazy, Yes, because we need to get a picture.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
Get that.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Yeah, we need to get a picture, you guys. Yeah
these days. That's he was all excited. He wanted to go,
you know, check out my pin.
Speaker 4 (40:19):
Man. That's crazy, man. Yeah, I definitely go to go
check that out. All right.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
So there we found out two things today that are
a little bit disappointing. You don't have the pin and
your brother is a Steelers fan. But we found out
that you did school. We know you got your first touchdown.
We know I think you're gonna get your second. I
think it's like destiny at this point. That is, is
he your brother gonna be in attendance at this game?
Speaker 8 (40:35):
Uh no, no, no, no, nope, no wig. He actually
lives in Colorado now, so yeah, he's a way out there.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Denver area, yepes Docky Mountain High. How about it. So
maybe maybe someone on the glove that's for you.
Speaker 4 (40:49):
That's for you.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
You get the touchdown, put it right in the camera.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
That touchdown was for you.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
I know, we're just brainstorming. There were brainstorming. Are you
excited about that though, because you obviously have some Steelers
connections in the fan, but like this, this is the
game Brown Steelers.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
Yeaheah, I mean in the building. You know, the coaches
talk about the rivalry. Yeah. So you know, obviously I'm
ready to go where you go right now. I know
you're ready to go.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
Well, we're gonna let you go then, Harold, it's always
a pleasure talking to you. Good luck, and I'm gonna
know that touchdown when you get this one on the broadcast,
I'm gonna tell you, brother, that was for him.
Speaker 4 (41:19):
Okay, appreciate you man, Thank you, good luck, Thank you.

The Cleveland Brown's High School Game of the Week, presented
by Ohio Cat showcases top matchups rising stars across Northeast Ohio.
Each week, fans vote for the game they want to see,
and the winning team earns three thousand and funding plus
spotlight coverage on the brown social media. This week's matchup
is Lake against McKinley. So there you go.
Speaker 4 (42:25):
There.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
Time for a little games we like to call over
or under. You guys were in London the last time.
So when I was doing the and audio of over,
yeah it was great. Yeah, so you missed. I really
enjoyed fun. So I got to tell you this. You
weren't in Uh, this was Monday after you guys. You
guys were coming here. Everyone's jet leg from London and
(42:46):
all of that, and I'm in here and I'm tabulating
the over unders, and I go, you idiots tie every
week and Gimby goes cheez idiots.
Speaker 5 (42:55):
I like to think I'm doing all right, So you
do so like you went.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
It went two and three, four and one, then four
and one, two and three, then you both went three
and two. Then you both went two and three, and
now you both went three and two, and even Steven,
you're fourteen and eleven, both of you.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
End of the game was just brutal for me because
that put the over put the open. I lost that
and then we had a sack that I had would
have gotten. But did Gibbey also.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Have the over on five and a half.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
He did, But the end of the game one was
the killer did I was not sad? Yeah, that was
about build a little separation.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
You were about to. Yeah, even even a game would
be some set your separation. All right, gentlemen, we're ready here.
Let's be guying enough from the clown. I'm trying. Uh,
Let's let's start who went first last week? I can't remember.
Let's go doctor Zigo's first in this one. Dylan Gabriel
passing yards. Dylan Gabriel passing yards. The number we're looking
for is one ninety five point five. Over there we go.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
So the Steelers gave up their last time out three
fitty to Carson Wentz. Yep, they have given up every
single quarterback who has faced hemisthrone for more than two
hundred yards. Had a great talk with Dylan today, feeling
the vibes. I'm feeling good over.
Speaker 4 (44:16):
Over it is.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
I don't need research over over.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
Give that going with his gut over film there.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
All right?
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Passing touchdowns, passing touchdowns, Aaron Rodgers. The number is one
point five passing touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers, one point five?
Speaker 5 (44:43):
I go over?
Speaker 4 (44:44):
I just what?
Speaker 5 (44:48):
One point five point five?
Speaker 2 (44:50):
I go over?
Speaker 4 (44:52):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (44:53):
Number one likes tight ends. We always have a problem
covering the tight end there wish here. They haven't. They
haven't thrown a tight end at all. What do you
bet this is the day this year?
Speaker 2 (45:03):
Look, John Smith, that's like, by the way, tight end
seventy five yards.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
Tight ends who are lighting us up have four catches
and thirty nine yards a game against this this year.
Speaker 5 (45:11):
Hey, he's right up there, right up there with the
sacks the Green Bay allowed or didn't allow. Let's go
what happened that week?
Speaker 2 (45:18):
One point five z under under look.
Speaker 5 (45:23):
I'm telling you the over like two is what what
might thank you for the low number over under?
Speaker 2 (45:30):
If it's two and a half, would you have gone under?
Speaker 5 (45:32):
Yeah? Yeah, I think two for him.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
I think you should have done two.
Speaker 5 (45:39):
All right, I'll take your money.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
This was a tough one because neither one of these
teams has much going at the receiver position. Uh So
the overarning committee did the best we could on this.
You get John us Smith plus DK, metcalf over under
Chief and Fannin.
Speaker 4 (45:57):
Is basically it's tight.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
End because John new Smith isn't anything receiving yards. Oh,
I'm up first there. Well, DK is is the main
I thought you were going to maybe go Judy and Chief,
which would have been interesting. Uh I dk' hit or
missed two for them?
Speaker 4 (46:16):
They don't.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
They're not doing anything spectacular.
Speaker 3 (46:18):
No, they haven't had a lot of yardage out of
those ones, and John new Smith has done not. I
mean that's fighting forty yards on the season, nothing seventy
yards on the season, So he's averaging just about seventeen and.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
A half a game.
Speaker 3 (46:32):
DK is explosive, though. If anybody could get to one hundred,
it's gonna be DK fan. I'm gonna go with I'm
gonna go reverse Jinks for the betterment of this organization
and take DK, Metcalf and Johnny over.
Speaker 5 (46:47):
I'm taking dkay and John Smith as well.
Speaker 4 (46:50):
Right there you go.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
That's over Thumber Saxon turnovers. Give the number this week. Member.
Last week we were five and a half and we
didn't get there. Did not get there this week against
the Pittsburgh Steelers. Your Saxon turnovers number is three and
a half. Give it three and a half.
Speaker 5 (47:15):
Over. But I don't feel good about it over because
of how quick Rogers gets rid of the fuck gets out,
quick gets out.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
Kick It's exactly three is what they're averaging on the season.
Nine sacks, three giveaways.
Speaker 5 (47:28):
Guy making these numbers pretty darn good.
Speaker 2 (47:31):
Well, he's very good at the Committee's in the committee.
I got the kids that's back, they're working. What do
you think we're paying those kids to do work? Work?
Come on paying concept paying you to nand bail bowl beggins.
Speaker 4 (47:44):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
It's e Bubba forever. It's been a minute What a treat,
What a real treat and a big smile, big smile, Yeah,
good to see. Yeah, over over thunder all right, doctor
Z the actual thirty eight and a half over give
(48:11):
it thirty eight and a half, given it some real thought.
Speaker 5 (48:20):
Yeah, I'm gonna go over over.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
Well, what's our We have one different one difference and
it's the Rogers past touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (48:26):
That's it, all right?
Speaker 2 (48:29):
So one of you in that booth and thin kid
and he throws a second touchdown.
Speaker 5 (48:35):
I've threatened the g man with what happens Sunday. Threaten
you with what happens on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
What's your threat, little g man? What's the threat? Best?
Speaker 5 (48:44):
For off air?
Speaker 2 (48:45):
You're gonna make me a coming right back. Cland Browns
Daily the esp and Cleveland.

And when you do that, there is one person you call,
and that is the great Brook Prior ESPN NFL Nation
Steelers Report, and she joins us on the hotline right now, Brook,
(49:47):
thanks so much for taking the time. Let's just start
with this is a three to one football team that's
looking around this division and sees Joe Burrow gone, Lamar's
been out for a while. They haven't played perfect, far
from it, but they're atop the divisi. What have you
made of the start that Pittsburgh. What's the real truth?
I guess on how good.
Speaker 10 (50:04):
They are, I feel like I'm still waiting to figure
that out. I mean, it is kind of crazy that
through five weeks I'm still not sure if this is
a good football team. I think the answer is yes.
I mean when I look at how they played through
at least the first three quarters against Minnesota in Ireland,
I mean, defensively, they looked much better. They held the
(50:26):
Vikings to six points. The offense was clicking, they got
DK Metcalf open, Kenny Gainwell was running crazy. But then
the fourth quarter happened and they gave up fifteen points
in the fourth quarter. And here's some behind the scenes.
So in Ireland, I was kind of pulling double duty.
I was there as a Steelers beat reporter and also
(50:46):
kind of the national TV person there for ESPN, So
I had to go down on the field to do
a postgame interview. And you text, you know, pr for
each team's let them know. And then when the game
is getting close to being over and it looks like
the school or is you gonna hold you texting your
request who you want?
Speaker 6 (51:04):
I think.
Speaker 10 (51:04):
I went down in the fourth quarter with seven minutes
left or so, the Steelers are up by two scores,
felt good about it, texted my request, and then all
of a sudden, I'm standing on the sideline and realized,
oh my gosh, they really might blow this. As the
eighty one yard completion to Jordan Addison goes, they score,
(51:25):
They're on this what could be game winning driving to
to Shaun Elliott gets the game saving pass breakup. That
is the Steelers season in a nutshell is that it
seems like they do a lot right, but they just
can't be consistent. And that's the thing that's holding them back.
But I think that they are a better team this
year than they were last season. When Justin Field started,
(51:48):
they what started out four and two, Rush took over
and I think at one point they were six and two,
seven and two. That is, I think this team is
better and more complete than they were a year ago.
Speaker 3 (52:01):
Offensively, Aaron Rodgers getting the ball out faster than anybody
in the league. But it almost kind of feels like,
what's what's kind of been stunning and watching them and
then going and looking at the stats, is Arthur Smith
loves those two tight ends. You got Friarmuth who had
you know, almost six hundred fifty yards and seven touchdowns zero.
Speaker 2 (52:17):
JOHNA.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
Smith was a pro bowler in Miami, but there haven't
really been involved in the passing game at all. What's
kind of going on with those tight ends and is
that something that we should look to expand, especially with
Calvin Austin out this week and DK Metcalf's have kind
of been a one man band.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
In that receiver room.
Speaker 10 (52:34):
Yeah, I mean, I think the tight ends would like
to tell you that there's going to be more of
that this week. But part of it is that because
he's getting the ball out so past some of those
routes aren't developing for the tight end. For Pat Fryarmuth
over the middle, it just hasn't been there, and that's
kind of byproduct of that. I think that you know,
Aaron's best bet at this point because the offensive line
(52:55):
has played better, but he still is you know, a
of their limitations. So he is getting the ball out fast.
He's getting it to some of the shorter, seedier, shiftier
guys and then just relying on a lot of yak
unless he can get it to DK Metcalf who then
gets a lot of yak. Also, I think that it
(53:15):
has been a little bit surprising that Pat Bryer Mouf
hasn't been as involved. Same thing with Johnny Smith. I
think that I would expect to see tight ends involved more,
maybe against Cincinnati on Thursday, necessarily than against Cleveland, mostly
because for whatever reason, Steelers tight ends just feast against Cincinnati,
so that's kind of the get right game I've been
(53:36):
targeting for these tight ends, so I don't know how
involved they will be this week. I think I would
look at more Scottie Miller filling in for Calvin Austin,
using Knny Gainwell in the receiving game a little bit.
With Jalen Warren being back healthy and taking some more
running back snaps, I don't know that this is going
to be the week for the Steelers tight end, So
(53:58):
you know, just just keep an eye on that. If
they're on your fantasy team, I don't know that I
would start them.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
You mentioned Jalen Warren being back.
Speaker 3 (54:05):
Kenny Gainwell has the best game of his career last week,
one hundred and thirty four total yards, two touchdowns. Warren
has been only averaging three point one yards of carry.
Gainwell was over five last week. Is this going to
be a committee? How do you see these running backs
being used?
Speaker 10 (54:20):
I do think it's going to be more of a
committee than they initially envisioned. I think the initial plan
was to have Jalen Warren kind of take the bulk
of the snaps and then Kenny Gainwell come in as
a change of pace guy, a third down back, those things.
But one thing I think that really unlocked it for
Kenny Gainwell against the Vikings is this jumbo package, like
(54:41):
jumbo supersize package with Spencer Anderson and Darnell Washington, and
there is extra blockers that I really think opened some
lanes up, and so I am interested to see how
that impacts Jalen Warren's stats this week, because I think
it should help him get more than three point one
or three point whatever you per carry to get some
(55:02):
more lanes open up a little bit, because if he
can find the opening, I mean, he can run through contact,
he can hurdle guys. He is an extremely athletic strong back.
Just there wasn't much space for him to run early
in the season when he was playing. So I think
I believe that he's going to have a better game
this week, but I think that there's going to be
(55:23):
a little bit more of an even division of labor
between him and kind of gainwell than maybe what the
Steelers initially envisioned Brook.
Speaker 2 (55:32):
What's it like covering Aaron Rodgers? And how has he
fit in over there?
Speaker 10 (55:37):
You know, I'm gonna be honest, it has been less
of a circus than I anticipated. Over the summer. I
really did not think that it was going to work.
I mean, not only did I not think that he
was going to fit in what Arthur Smith wants to do,
I didn't think that the personality would fit. I mean
the Steelers try to be low key, at least when
(55:59):
it comes to being vocal, being externally vocal. I mean,
they don't do a lot of outside interviews. They have
some team podcast, but like it. It's not it's not
a Cowboys, it's not a Jets. It's not some of
these teams where it seems like, you know, someone's always
airing dirty laundry. They try to keep it very much
in house, close to the best. And I based on
(56:22):
Rogers past being on McAfee, the documentary, all of those things,
I was not sure how that would mesh. But he
has not been doing McAfee weekly. He has really, I
think fit in well in Pittsburgh. It feels like he's
getting back to what helped him early in his career
in Green Bay. I mean, it feels like he's one
(56:42):
of the guys. And one of the reasons why it works,
even though he is Aaron Rodgers full time MVP twenty
plus years in the league, is that he does not
hold himself like he's better than anyone else. He dishes
it to guys, but he also takes it if you know,
guys are making fun of him for whatever he doesn't get,
you know, all been out of shape about it. So
(57:04):
I think there's been a good kind of give and
take in a good rapport with him and some of
the other guys in the locker room. I mean, even
Vin Scernik, who is, you know, pretty much just a
blocking wide receiver. He's not, you know, one of the
highest paid guys on the team. He and Rogers are
probably about as close as Rogers is with anybody, and
(57:25):
it's because they bonded over wearing wired headphones and drinking
the same Mountain Valley spring mineral water because the bottles
don't have PBAs or something and them like that's the
kind of like he's friends, I don't want to say
with everybody, but like he really is just one of
the guys, and that works in this locker room.
Speaker 3 (57:47):
The Steelers always known for their defense, and this year
the stats aren't great in terms of the numbers, and
yet they are taking the football away TJ. Watts come
on though, three sacks the last two games. Is this
a defense that has just taken some time to gel
with all the new additions on the back end, or
is this not an elite defense? Can it be an
(58:07):
elite defense because it's been kind of Unsteelers like early on,
but they're taking the football away and that's why they're
able to win so much.
Speaker 10 (58:14):
Exactly, it was very Unsteelers like early on, and there
were some factors to that. I mean, Derek Harmon, first
round pick, didn't play for a couple of weeks dealing
with an injury to his NCL from the preseason, and
he was brought in to be that physical presence on
the defensive line. And while he's out, Isaiah Lauderbilt sprains
his ankle and he goes out. So they dealt with
(58:35):
Somemetric upfront, and on the back end, Joey Porter Junior
being out since Week one with a hamstring injury, and
then Deshaun Elliott dealing with an MCL injury that he
had in Week one. There were those issues, and then
you add in the fact that they added new people,
so some of their most veteran players are out, including Elliott,
who has been a major communicator for that secondary. And
(58:58):
then the guys who are who are on the field
or not don't have a lot of experience in this system.
I think it's just been really slow to come together.
And I think that the way they played through three
quarters against Minnesota is what they can be. But that
fourth quarter where they had some significant coverage busts and
(59:19):
gave up some really big plays. That's everything that has
gone wrong with the Steelers defense through the first four weeks.
That sometimes they are just a little bit out of
position and teams have been really good at making them pay.
I think this is going to be a really tough
matchup for the Steelers defense because Jalen Ramsey's questionable. I
think that that's going to be a tough call. If
(59:39):
they didn't have a game on Thursday next week against
the Bengals, I would feel better about saying I think
he's going to play on Sunday. But I think they're
also very aware that the Bengals and the Bengals wide receivers,
you probably want to have a healthy Jalen Ramsey for that.
But tight ends the Steelers have had trouble covering going
back to Lafe season, and the tight end usage in
(01:00:02):
this Browns offense I think could really give the Steelers
a lot of trouble. It does help having Deshaun Elliott
back and then Quinn Shawn Jenkins the way that he
has come on recently. Mike Tomlin really went out of
his way to compliment him, and the Steelers have struggled
to stop the run. They did better against Jordan Mason
against the Vikings, but they have to continue that. If
(01:00:23):
they don't stop the run, it's going to be a
very long afternoon.
Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Brooke, What adjustments, if any, do you expect to see
coming out of the bye week. I'm thinking specifically offensively.
Obviously there are some things they'd like to unlock. What
will you be looking for Sunday offensively?
Speaker 10 (01:00:39):
You know, I'm going to be looking for them to
go to DK metcalf more. I mean before the Vikings game,
he had been relatively quiet, at least quiet for the
amount of draft capital they gave up to get him
in the contract that they gave him. But I think
that they really started to unlock something in that game.
Even DK said that, you know, he's out at home,
(01:01:01):
he felt like he had arrived after that game, just
being able to get him the ball in the middle
of the field. I felt like their timing was better
than it's been, so I'm looking for more of that again.
It thinks that Calvin Austin is out because I felt
like he was starting to come on Strong, not necessarily
just as a pass catcher, but just in his blocking.
(01:01:21):
He is probably the smallest wide receiver the Steelers have,
but he does not play like that, and he was
really doing some good staff for them. And again in
the run game, I'm going to look for more of
the Spencer Anderson Darnell Washington usage, and not just in
the run game, but also in task pro to help
Roderick Jones and Troy Fautano deal with Miles Garrett because
(01:01:44):
they know they've got their hands full, so they're not
afraid to call in reinforcements on the line.
Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
Brook. How's palwan Thornhill doing?
Speaker 10 (01:01:52):
He is great. He I think he is going to
be very incredibly motivated in this game. If I've learned
anything about him, Yes, he is aware of things that
people in Cleveland said when he was there that were
not flattering, and I think that he is very very
motivated to, you know, prove that he's more than some
(01:02:15):
of the low lights plays. The jog Thornhill step. He
knows about it, he has seen it, and that I
think is going to fuel him. He's had a pretty
significant role in the Steelers so far. He's their deep safety,
so I would expect to see him on the field,
but I think for him it's going to be about,
you know, keeping your emotions in check, not letting the
(01:02:36):
moment and the feelings that come with playing a team
a former team that you know has some not so
great memories. Just staying within yourself. I think that's going
to be really huge for him.
Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
Brooke, I'll get you out of here on this one.
And you're a pro, so we didn't prep you. This
was a Brown Steelers press. Oh boy, I.
Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
Know you're a.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
Carolina Carolina Blue and I liked every once in a
while when it's in the news. Isn't this just spectacl
I guess spectacular just the failure of it, or just
how crazy it is. What do you make of what
has happened in Chapel Hill with Bill Belichick?
Speaker 10 (01:03:16):
You know, you know how I was saying, like I
was very loud about I don't think Aaron Rodgers and
Pittsburg is gonna work, and I have proven wrong. I
was just as loud about saying that I didn't think
Bill Belichick in Chapel Hill would work and that I've
been proven right. So going to be embarrassing. I can
I can you know, Victory lap On feeling validated that
(01:03:38):
I called it. I I feel like I'm hemorrhaging Carolina
Blue right now, and not like because I'm filled with pride,
because it's just it hit an artery. It's so bad.
I think that anytime that you have to release two
one sentence statement to reaffirm your commitment and support, it's
(01:04:01):
not good. I think I think the best thing would
be just to cut bait and I don't know, maybe
canceled the rest of the football season. Let's just move
on as quickly as we can because it is not
going to get any better.
Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
Basketball will be here soon. Thank you for your time.
Greatly appreciate you, guys, Brook.
Speaker 10 (01:04:22):
Thanks guys.

on Sunday. And for that there is only one man
up to the task, and.
Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
His name is Duc Dizzy.
Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
First of all, I have a great time with this
pencil shading. You can do with the pencils right, No,
yesterday you dropped an mc esher and then it's funny.
On the way home yesterday after the show, I was
listening to a review of that show. I was watching
that house again his show. So we started it last
night and they dropped an mc esher. I have not
heard that in anything in twenty five years. And I
(01:06:34):
got warned on the show twice in one day. We're culture.
It's fun, fun start right, So they introduced a lot
at you right away, but I thought it was fun.
I like the world.
Speaker 3 (01:06:43):
I have a like the world a lot. Yeah, they
do try to get a lot of history and a
short time. My two one note, I guess it's two notes.
One of the songs which was really catchy that they
use in the opening is the theme song of Mobland,
which came out rule for this, which I thought was
not cool that they would take the theme song of
(01:07:04):
Mobland to use it in the first episode.
Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
I bet they were in development at the same time.
I can't imagine that was an intention maybe, but that
was outvo yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:07:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
And then the other thing, I think when you're doing
a period piece, which this is at least I believe
it is, Yeah, eighteen sixties or whatever it is, you
have to use music that sounds like the period. So
that is a very British thing. Peaky Blinders does this.
They used modern music in it, the eighteen hundreds as well,
or nineteen hundreds Noble scene.
Speaker 3 (01:07:35):
It like took me out of the scene because it
was like hard rock or whatever, punt rock, Yeah, kind
of like that rappy.
Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
Yeah, that's something that That's something that's happening a lot
in the in a lot of the British shows that
are coming out. I like, yeah, I don't, I don't.
I don't mind those notes on notes. Other than that, though, yeah,
it's been it's been. I'm only one episode in so
I have no idea if it's great. But the first
episode is fun. Yeah, well we had boss guys pretty fun.
The guy who's like the boss on their set. I
don't even know what that weapon was. I don't know
(01:08:02):
I've ever seen.
Speaker 4 (01:08:03):
It, but.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
People with attit. Yeah, yeah, we watched a little bit
of it. I think we're gonna watch finish the episode
tonight because then in the middle of it, she was
doing Lucas four month post. Yeah, we can't do that,
so then tuned out language because you got to really
listen hard. Well, yeah, we always put because Bryce gave us.
Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
He's like, just put subtitles on. So sometimes we'll just
do that. It's just easier. Sometimes some of the things
they say.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Are pretty Yes, it's to dig.
Speaker 4 (01:08:33):
Yeah, your key.
Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
He's the victory offensively again, same as last week. Got
to take care of the football, but on top of that,
we have got to hit some chunk place. We have
got to get some short drives where we just get
down the field quickly and score points. So take care
of the football. Obviously, keep the run game going, and
we got it. Jerry Judy's got to get going. That
is a key to me. Jerry Judy has got to
(01:08:54):
get going thirty five targets on the season only fifteen catches.
The tight ends have done well David Djoku, Harold Fan
and they have forty one catches so far this season,
but we need more from the wide receiver position, So Judy,
Isaiah Bond, Jamari thrash If, Larvin Ann Corley, any whoever
gets looks to make some plays there.
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
And left tackle has got to be just solid.
Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
I'm not saying he has to match everybody else online,
but it cannot be as bad as it has been,
so hopefully Cam Robinson can kind of shore some of
that up. And then defensively, I want to completely eliminate
the run game. Just vaporize their run game. I think
it is vaporizable. We need to tackle very well in
space on the short passes, and we need to get
(01:09:42):
Aaron Rodgers in third and longs where he's got to
hold the ball to get the first down yards. That's
where I think we can get some sacks. I think
we have an advantage against their line. I think, you know,
with Austin out, DK metcalf is really the only scary
receiver that they've got, so you should be able to
hone in on that.
Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
Their tight ends are very good Friar, Johnny Smith, Big
Darnell Washington, but they have not been heavily involved thus far,
and certainly not down the field at all. Don't let
this be the game where they do that and then
special teams. Let's like pop a big return something, flip
the field, get some momentum. Let's try playing with the lead.
(01:10:23):
That would be fantastic.
Speaker 4 (01:10:24):
Great.
Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
Let the kid play with the lead with that defense.
Let's see what happened. We had the lead in at
the half this week, which I believe was our first
halftime lead. I mean, coming into last week's game, we'd
only played offense two snaps with the lead all season.
So we've got to find a way to kind of
get the lead and let it be us dictating the game.
And then if it comes down to it, be a
little more aggressive to put a game away. And then defensively,
(01:10:46):
if we got to make a play, make a play,
make a play.
Speaker 4 (01:10:49):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (01:10:50):

the scores, all right, last week you did well? Yeah,
(01:11:50):
nine and five for me, good job, buddy, six and
eight for you.
Speaker 4 (01:11:53):
I hate to see it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
I'm ten games over five hundred, you'r eight. So we
still as a group. We went up two more games
over five hundred worse combined eighteen games over five hundred,
and we already have a nice win last night.
Speaker 2 (01:12:05):
Nice win last night. Man. Yes, well, on Thursday, that
was that one I had. There was no doubt in
my mind I'm gonna tell you this because I've done
this earlier. It's not an easy week.
Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
I think this week is really hard. I think it's
really hard. I don't know what you felt like when
you were when you were guessing the lines, but it's
a tough, tough.
Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
Week they are doing, I think, what they've done this year.
And tell me if you agree with this or not.
It feels like there are a lot more hooks in
play than I recall in years past. I have ever
been a single game on a number.
Speaker 2 (01:12:41):
It's what I would call yes, but it's also standard
scoring hooks. Yeah, tons of three and a half, seven
and a half, fourteen and a half, like you never
used to see that. Fourteen and a half used to
be thirteen and a half, seven and a half used
to be six and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
You didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
Three and a half is pretty what you used to
be pretty common. It used to be three a lot too.
That's now it's not everything is everything. Everything's hooked. Yeah,
it's it's pretty wild.
Speaker 3 (01:13:04):
And I think they're doing it right. They're adding it
to the favorite pretty consistently. Pretty consistently. Yep, I would agree, Hello, Gibbe.
Speaker 5 (01:13:11):
Week six, in the National Football League takes us back
to jolly old London to kick things off. Nice little
nine thirty Sunday morning game. Jets winless on the road
in London, taking on the Denver Broncos. Broncos three and two.
Right at the ship here after a slow start, boh
(01:13:33):
Bishop lead us off.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
Well, first we have to have some traveling music. Yeah,
we need some tunes here. Well done, well done. Now
I'm in the mood. Now I'm in the mood. This
is how we do it, feeling in the right way.
There you go, good job. I've been pretty consistently liking
(01:13:55):
the Jets attitude and effort. I just don't know that
it's going to travel across the pond this week. I
think Denver hit its stride last week with the way
that they played. I think it continues. Give me the
Broncos twenty seven Jets seventeen. By the way, fields is
(01:14:15):
now zero to twenty six when the opposition scores more
than twenty one. Like, he's my guy, I hate him
getting strays from me. Of all people in this but
my god, that's pretty damaging. Twenty seven to seventeen Broncos. Same, same, same, same, same,
I think the Broncos. I like them.
Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
That was a big win for them last week, coming
from behind in Philadelphia. They've got some momentum. I think
they're going to be able to suffocate the Jets.
Speaker 5 (01:14:43):
Onward, we go to the one o'clock slate and we'll
kick things off with my new runner up to the
Gutlass Falcons. Let me introduce you to the land of Gutlass.
The Arizona Cardinals. They've lost three in a row. They
are two and three. I don't know what the hell
they did last week. Knows on the road in Indianapolis,
(01:15:03):
the battle to Colts.
Speaker 2 (01:15:04):
Nathan's girl, who's quarterbacking for the Cardinals. Just in the
last twenty minutes Kyler did practice. He's questionable.
Speaker 5 (01:15:14):
And I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
Let me let me check.
Speaker 3 (01:15:17):
And I don't know if the score tells you anything
on that front. Indiana is a powerhouse.
Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
Let me just see if there's been any no real movement,
that's as well know. There is. There is movement a
point down so less than less than so I'll take
that because either way, I'm going with blue and white,
so I'll take it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
You like the Colts huge, so I think if Kyler
plays This feels to me like a classic Colts have
this one well in hand up fourteen.
Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
You're saying, why can't it just be seven? What are
we doing here? What which scores are we working under?
We have seven adventury? Okay, but it's it's actually six
and a hook now with the Kyler news, all right,
what do we what? We need a ruling. We need
a ruling on this because I think we're going to
go opposite. We're looking at g Man. The g Man's
the authority. Give me he's made g Man the authority
(01:16:10):
on the authority on the stores.
Speaker 5 (01:16:13):
Why not I spread it around?
Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
So what are we doing?
Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
Should we just split the difference and make it seven?
Speaker 10 (01:16:21):
Is?
Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
It doesn't matter as long as we're all on the
same page on what it is, we'll do that, all right,
So it's seven?
Speaker 3 (01:16:26):
Right, all right, Nathaniel, I'm saying at Kyler knocking Trey McBride,
father of Trey.
Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
Father of the McBride, I think Kyler's going to go
to the back door. It's thirty twenty four. Kyler's going
to go to the back door. I'm gonna send Bootsy
to go open it. He's going to look out the
window and not see anybody because Kyler's so short. Yeah, smart,
and the door's staying closed. Well, we'll find Colts. Colts
(01:17:01):
thirty one, Cards seventeen.
Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
I just want this to be a closer games. I
don't pull Danny Dimes in like the second quarter.
Speaker 5 (01:17:07):
Oh it's fantasy, that's all it is. For one of
his fifty teams. De los Aello's Chargers on a plane
headed to South Beach, speaking of potentially rainy weather and
not so great. Chargers have lost two in a row,
the injury starting to mount up there, Chargers three and
(01:17:29):
two on the year, visiting the one and four Miami Dolphins, bobicious.
Speaker 2 (01:17:34):
Do you know they put in Trey Lance last week
because it was getting so bad for Herbert in terms
of the Waves getting battered. They can't run it. Both
their backs are out. It's crazy what's happened with them.
Speaker 5 (01:17:45):
It's one big injury every single game. Yeah it is.
Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
And yet I think somehow they'll go down there and
find a way.
Speaker 4 (01:17:55):
So give me.
Speaker 2 (01:17:56):
I think it's gonna be gross game. Give me Chargers sixteen,
Dolphins twelve. I saw Mike McDaniel slunk out of that
lot off that field. I think that's a broken man. Agreed.
I'm with you, Chargers. Time to get super charged here,
get these right to right the ship a little bit.
Chargers eighty five. Dolphins won.
Speaker 5 (01:18:17):
Next. New Orleans. Congratulations won your first game of the
year last week. Your reward a visit from the New
England Patriots, fresh off a Sunday night football win in Buffalo.
Nathan's I love the Patriots. I like Drake may a lot.
I like everything they're doing right now. Rabes is cooking.
Speaker 3 (01:18:37):
I think they go and this is the line they
gave you last week, told you New Orleans was gonna win,
which they did this week, says we're trying to make
you think that, oh, maybe they're frisky at home.
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
They're not that frisky.
Speaker 3 (01:18:49):
Patriots. Buy a billion ram at Patriots legit thirty seven seven.
Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
I'm with you.
Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
Samez's Saints up, Saints down. Bad teams yo you their
a yo yo team down this week? Give me the
Pats big.
Speaker 5 (01:19:04):
Onward we go in the one o'clock slate the Dallas Cowboys.
They're not playing awful kids No. Two two one, although
who's out for the year now knee injury. Miles Sanders
is out for the year with a knee injury. Cowboys
Devonte Williams. This team on the road, visiting it, very
(01:19:24):
frisky Carolina Panthers team who can score some points and
who have played very well at home. Not on the road,
but pretty darn good at home.
Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
Bo Bishop, Yeah, they're yo, yo team though too one up,
one down. I've been riding that each week right in
the wave with This is a down week for them,
and I just see no scenario how they're going to
be able to keep up. The Dallas Cowboys roll out
of football and get thirty five, and I think they
will again. I think they're this year's Bengals, and so
I think Dallas goes down there and Handles goes over
there in Handles business. Give me the Cowboys thirty eight,
(01:19:56):
the Carolina Panthers twenty seven? Right now, the cow Boys,
you gotta ride them while they're hot.
Speaker 4 (01:20:02):
Yeah they are.
Speaker 2 (01:20:02):
I'm gonna stick with it. I'm with you, Cowboys huge.
Speaker 5 (01:20:08):
Can we please please get a team to beat the
Jacksonville Jaguars? Please? Anybody? Anybody want that task? Are the
Seattle Seahawks up for that task? Seattle? Speaking of long flights,
what is is every West Coast team traveling east. It
sure appears that way. The Seahawks flying to the state
(01:20:31):
of Florida to take on the four and one Jacksonville Jaguars,
winners of three in a row. I do like the Seahawks.
The Jags are red hot right now, Nathan's girl.
Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
I like the Seahawks a ton. I think they're one
of the best teams. They should have gotten it done
last week. I think they're not gonna have any ill
effects from that. Jacksonville's being over valued by being on
national TV and by beating the Chiefs, which they did do.
But the Seahawks and Sam Darnold they go into do
all and they get a big win. Seahawks twenty eight,
(01:21:04):
Jags twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:21:07):
Yeah, same The's. Here's this is pretty interesting. The Chargers
are at the Dolphins, what you can get, Seahawks are
at Jaguars pretty close to his cross countries you can
get the Rams are at Baltimore, and the Niners are
at the Bucks.
Speaker 4 (01:21:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:21:21):
Everybody on the west coming.
Speaker 11 (01:21:23):
Massive all to coasts. Yeah, that's crazy. I mean that's
got to affect scores. Sheeese Sames's though, same Sys, Samez's.
It is rounding out at the one o'clock slate, Rammet
on the road. As you just mentioned in Baltimore, the
Rams three and two on the year. Tough loss last
(01:21:44):
week for them. The Ravens woful at one and four.
U Bo Bishop, I learned my lesson last week. I
mean they just have way too many. Yeah, he's done.
I mean, yeah, they're just going to try to get
to the bye week. I don't this is I don't
think it'll be forty to three or whatever it was
like last week, but it's definitely going to be twenty
(01:22:04):
four to six.
Speaker 3 (01:22:05):
So give me the Rammets, ram Its Stafford. It's easy, peasy,
it's lemon squeezy. Rams fifty eight.
Speaker 2 (01:22:15):
Ravens fifty two. Oh my gosh, you went it's just
too easy. Who isn't doing it? But last week there
were so many that were like ninety percent on and
it was.
Speaker 3 (01:22:27):
This is my this is just a complete gut call.
Do I think the Rams? I think the Rams win
this one. I would be on them with just my head.
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
Yeah, it doesn't make sense, it doesn't make it's too easy,
and it's never too easy in the National Ball League.
Derrick Henry getting back to form.
Speaker 4 (01:22:46):
No way.
Speaker 5 (01:22:51):
The Sunday Late Slate kicks things off with the Tennessee Titans.
Fresh off of their first win of the year. They
are one in four on the road visiting the gutless
and I mean gutless Las Vegas Raiders. They start off
the year one to know they huh rock powers out
(01:23:11):
f YI, breaking news from the Gareah, it's the it's
the Raiders hosting the Titans.
Speaker 2 (01:23:17):
The girl. Is this the most inmate game of the
week or one of them that we've ever done this
early in the season.
Speaker 5 (01:23:25):
There were a couple last week, crazy right up there? Yeah,
I mean this is gross.
Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
I mean, stay away in the real world would be
my advice. Run and run run away.
Speaker 6 (01:23:39):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:23:40):
The Raiders have no business being favored by this number
over anybody. So with that in mind, they win this
one four to zero.
Speaker 2 (01:23:50):
Good baseball game there, Yeah, I'm with you. I would
I think this is just awful. I don't even I
don't know that anyone would watch this thing. I don't
think anybody these two places. Tennessee's obviously having all sorts
of problem at the top. The Pete Carroll is the
NFL version of Belichick in Carolina. Like they've lost their
team's a mess.
Speaker 5 (01:24:11):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:24:11):
I'll just roll with the kid. Gimme cam Ward keeping
it frisky. Seven to nine finals, Wow, all right, all right?
Speaker 5 (01:24:23):
Up next, the Joe Flacco era begins in Cincinnati, and
it has him taking on the team that he beat
for the Browns only win in twenty twenty five so far.
Bengals visiting the Land of Beer and Cheese, Bengals at Peckers,
Bob Bishop.
Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
It's just a massive number for that weaponry. And I
know that Cincinnati has been an unmitigated disaster the last
few weeks. But Joe has prepared for this defense, and
I think he's going to be. There are going to
be moments where he has a sliver of separation with
Jamar Chase that maybe he did didn't have here or Higgins.
I think Joe's gonna throw it down the field. He's
(01:25:03):
gonna throw it to them too. Packers are gonna win.
But the number, it's it's just too big for me.
I'm so big. I think the Packers winning this one.
Give me the Packers sixty seven, the Bengals fifty eight.
Speaker 1 (01:25:18):
I will remember you, Oh God, will you remember me?
Speaker 4 (01:25:26):
Sitting right here?
Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
He's our guy right there. So great to see him.
Great talking about ball handling.
Speaker 5 (01:25:34):
That's all you need.
Speaker 2 (01:25:35):
Joe Flacco. I will not forget you. And I'm Baco
for Flaco. Don't call me wacko. Packers fifty, Bengals seventy eight.
Oh my god, Flaco fever good. Jamar Chase thirteen catches,
(01:25:56):
two hundred and seventy five yards, seven touchdown Flaco.
Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
Eight hundred and forty eight yards, six touchdowns, three picks.
Bengals win it. He gets gets in the history, both
beating the Packers twice same season, two different teams.
Speaker 2 (01:26:08):
You imagine him looking over and seeing like five and
being like you so that you don't throw to him.
You guys haven't thrown to him. Yeah, he's fun. I'd
like to throw to him. He's fun. Watch me, watch
me throw to him?
Speaker 7 (01:26:20):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:26:20):
Next, the San Francisco forty nine Ers have already played
three road games. They are three and ozer on the road.
This is America's game of the week. Niners on the
road visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Buccaneers four and one,
Niners four and one Pedro not Pedro slash the girl go.
Speaker 2 (01:26:42):
Who's QBN?
Speaker 4 (01:26:44):
But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
I think Mac Mac again.
Speaker 4 (01:26:46):
That it matters.
Speaker 2 (01:26:47):
I feel like that's playing great. He's playing great. Bake
got a little testy this week. He did a little
testy this week.
Speaker 3 (01:26:55):
Yeah, just stay right now, you're America's darling. Just live it,
living joy, enjoy it at a high level. Right, It's
like an Aju bath. Yeah, eating you out there like
on can't wait, dipping your meeting meats and eating them.
Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
I'd love to do it, can my head? I feel
like it's not hard to do it?
Speaker 5 (01:27:23):
Wait to send me off to the weekend?
Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
Depicts like so easy of a stocking cap, like dude,
like January stocking cap, warm onso flatbed trailer.
Speaker 3 (01:27:33):
Yeah, bring a hot tub, put a hot jet, fill
it up, fill it up with you and the jets,
Arenzo bubbling.
Speaker 2 (01:27:43):
I love it. That did'd be great?
Speaker 5 (01:27:46):
We make a prediction here, not yet.
Speaker 3 (01:27:49):
By the way, Pedro just came at me with some
information that I could not believe. He's been on a
real heater lately, but showing.
Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
More, showing that he's got a bigger bag of tricks
that I may expected about that.
Speaker 9 (01:28:02):
More.
Speaker 2 (01:28:02):
No, there's more, Oh even more, Oh yeah, there's more.
Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
He gave me one right now that was would fly
in the face of what you would believe that he
would have said. And therefore I feel like he is five.
He's operating on all cylinders, just like Kyle Bucks twenty seven,
Niners eight Yeah, right, yeah, Samesey's.
Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
It just feels like with all the injuries the Niners
have that if that this would be slightly bigger. And
I think Kyle almost thrives in these settings when he's
when he's got a cobble things together. I could see
the bucket either way. This is a field goal game,
but I like it. I think the Niners could do
on there and win as well.
Speaker 5 (01:28:45):
So Samesey's. Finally, Sunday Night Football. In the last minute,
here we have before the break, Detroit City heading to
the Land of Barbecue Lions at Chiefs Sunday Night Football.
Lions four and one, Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (01:29:01):
Two and three.
Speaker 4 (01:29:02):
Bo Bishop.
Speaker 2 (01:29:04):
I think Detroit is actually very, very good. They might
be the probably playing as good as anybody in the
league right now. And I think Kansas City Xavier Worthy
got dinged, so they're kind of keeping an eye on
him this week. If he can't play. There's really nobody
I believe he has no injury designation. He will go,
so he'll give it a go, but he's been nicked
either way, it's not enough. I'm done with the Chiefs
(01:29:24):
in terms of on a week to week basis. It's
more about matchups, and this is a bad one for them.
I like the Leos winning on Sunday night football. Is
this is what we have on the paper. This is
the correct Yeah, that's the correct line.
Speaker 4 (01:29:36):
Yep. Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:29:39):
If this line were opposite, if it was Detroit laying
the points, I would be on Detroit all day long. Yeah,
but instead instead Kansas City is who's not get jumping
on the Lions. Everybody is. We just saw kant City
lose prime. The same thing happened with Philly a couple
of weeks ago. Though be careful what happened a couple
(01:29:59):
of weeks or No, it was Kansas City a couple
of weeks ago. No, they were when they were under
rab boy. We got to go either way, your opposite.
Speaker 3 (01:30:08):
Chiefs get it right. The Redwood smashes into the end zone.
