Known, but I don't know.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
I'm hega from number one fourth.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
Down fields, Tad fields him, did Field hike the backfield?
It drops, the Browns get a turnover on down. Grit
Delpit was in the backfield.
Speaker 6 (01:09):
You know, this team, we talked about being resilient and
sometimes you have to show it, and I thought they
showed it tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Jamis hands to Chub running left through the line, first out,
Nick Chubb to the ten.
Speaker 7 (01:19):
Before this game, I told Nick, I said I got
you today.
Speaker 8 (01:23):
I know how important this was for him.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Winston from under center since white Hart in motion gives
the Chubb running right touchdown. Nick Shoff, I saw.
Speaker 7 (01:36):
The end grown I felt great protection and and I
just was moving forward and he found a way to
get in there.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Winston to throw fourth out, Winston under pressure, scrambling puck Bank,
He's gonna run.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
He jumps touchdowned.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Jameis Winston had fourth downed.
Speaker 7 (01:54):
Man, you know, it was it really was amazing, Like
I was just praying on the sideline because that fourth quarter,
it really was like it was a it was a
whole paradigm shift, like we were playing so well offensively
and then bang bain, back to back drives will turn
over us, Like, oh my gosh, like this is really
an NFL's film moments, the snow stars pouring down, his
dogs getting like else felt like my feet started getting
(02:17):
heavy because I'm I'm swashing through the snow and uh man,
it was so good man, it was so great to
end up in the wing.
Speaker 9 (02:24):
Okay, I told you to expect to win this game.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
And when I saw from this proof and that fourth
quarter was archivicts was chunk strong.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
We were not leaving it without this win.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Russell Wilson to throw back to throw, has time hens
he throws, fall up into the air towards the end zone,
knock it down, jump ball in compleat Browns weet and
they're making snow Angels. Twenty four nineteen, the Browns beat
(02:57):
the Steelers again at Huntington Bank.
Speaker 6 (03:02):
Feel that that was a unbelievable atmosphere for a football game.
Our fans were unbelievable. A special night for our fans,
and I think they deserve it.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Here are your hosts, Bo Bishop and Nathan Segura.
Speaker 9 (03:19):
Ah beaby, let's do it live on a victory Friday
edition of Cleveland Browns Daily. The great z merely bow
even in a dreary forty two rainy, gray soak day,
the sun shines bright. My friend, when you could beat
the Steelers on a Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
It was pure joy. You know, last year we had
Flacco fever. This year it's joyous. Jamis joyous, jamis then
here we are blessed.
Speaker 10 (03:44):
Now.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
There was something significant I felt lacking from that opening.
We'll discuss that at another time, but I want to
give a g man his props as well.
Speaker 8 (03:51):
Done.
Speaker 9 (03:51):
Gee, good job, good open g man, We said, uh,
we said Monday we said in the lead up to
this week that, and we said yesterday when we're making
the picks, I remember saying, whatever our best is, I
think you'll get it.
Speaker 11 (04:03):
Yep.
Speaker 9 (04:04):
There are limitations based and we know that based on
where our record is this season. Sure, but I thought
that you would get an inspired effort. I thought that
you would get your veteran players give a damn level
at an eleven. It's what I thought that you would get,
and you did. That's what you got. You got a
tone setter in the first half of Miles Garrett. This
one really had it all, had a snow globe in
(04:25):
the middle of it. I can't wait to get your
view of what you were able to see through or
not see at all on the broadcast. But this was
one and I like what Kevin said at the end there.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
This was for the city.
Speaker 9 (04:35):
It's for the fans, It's for the guys in that room,
It's for everybody who loves the Cleveland Browns and hates
the Pittsburgh Steelers to at least for one night in
one victory Friday, to not worry so much about what
has gone wrong this season, but rather what went right
on a Thursday night and we said, it's not.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Like it's not exactly apples to apples if say Michigan
or to beatle House, sate what that would know for
their fan base. But there was that sense. I talked
to a lot of people before they came and then
after that game, just walking out of the stadium in
a blizzard. Yeah. And by the way, this city is
so beautiful after a white out and they have it
rain immediately the next day and there's no I woke
(05:13):
up to. So, I mean I drove home. It took
me an hour to get home because the roads were
so bad and not even really with traffic, just nobody's
really going over thirty miles hour. It turns out, as
I was talking to my friend Beatbox on the phone,
so I said, it takes a lot longer to get
places on the freeway when you're only going thirty miles
an hour.
Speaker 12 (05:27):
It goes.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yes, it takes about twice as long or more. And
I said, yeah, you're exactly right. Yeah, I was at
least four inches.
Speaker 9 (05:32):
Oh, I know, it was a it was a dusting
at least four inch yeah, eight eight keV yeah eight.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
In Wickliffe it was uh wow, and tree limbs are down,
power lines are down, people are all out power in
Lake County.
Speaker 8 (05:45):
It was.
Speaker 9 (05:47):
It was a beautiful sight. But then this morning, feeling
for a lot of people. Yeah, praying for those folks
out there that's brutal.
Speaker 11 (05:54):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
It was a heavy snow.
Speaker 8 (05:56):
It was.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
It was wild, and you're right, you kind of played
all the hits and we can, we can, We'll get well.
Obviously break this down in great detail, but you know,
Miles three sacks, Nick Chubb two touchdowns, Jamis with an
unbelievable touchdownt one point in the game. We were zero
for nine on third down and four for four on
fourth down, which is unbelievable. And yet you go out
and you win the football game. The snow added something
to it. The crowd was great. I tip my tip
(06:19):
of my cap to the crowd. And this was that
was meaningful because it was the Steelers. If this was
Thursday night football against the Saints and we won it,
it's not what this was. This was a Saints team
that was you know, we all know eight and two.
They were a top the division and the Browns beat them.
And I think what it showed is part of the
reason why this season is so frustrating. Why it's so
disappointing on some levels because you have two of the
(06:43):
more fun wins you've had in a long time in
this season. It's kind of like the final season of
Game of Thrones, like, yeah, they didn't get it right,
but there were a couple of great episodes.
Speaker 9 (06:53):
Battle of the Bastards was great, and the Battle of
the Knights at Winning Felt was incredible.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Yeah, for sure so, and it has some parallels to that,
But this one was special, and it just shows a
couple of things I take away from that. This team
obviously is still talented. I thought you mentioned the give
a dam and all that we said. He got to
match the physicality, the intensity. I give credit to the coaches,
and then I give credit to the players for their
(07:19):
own accountability. And I'll talk about one in a just second.
This wasn't the same defense that was on the field
of New Orleans. The way they flew to the ball,
the way they tackled, the physicality, the tenacity, the give
a dam was off the charts. And I'll give wan
thorn Hill a lot of credit because he stood at
his locker effort and said, you know, I acknowledge that
what you saw on tape in New Orleans was unacceptable.
(07:40):
That is not me and that will never be me again.
And if you notice when Justin Fields had a chance
to make a house call there, who ran him down
on Thornton Thornhill And so I give him a lot
of credit for that. But it's unfortunate that this isn't
who we are on a consistent basis. But it's good
to know that it's in there and you're able to
identify a core or going forward. And right now you
(08:02):
have to say to yourself, you know what, and I'll
be first. Maybe maybe I had it wrong, maybe we
were right. If you go play CBD from twenty twenty
twenty twenty one, twenty twenty two. Yeah, why isn't Jameis
Winston starting the league? Well, maybe the answer is he
is going to be starting and he very well maybe
the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns. I mean that performed.
If he can keep that going, that has to be
(08:23):
on the table.
Speaker 9 (08:24):
Yeah, it's you know, Jamis a year ago, Joe Flacco
was the perfect quarterback for the perfect team at the
perfect time. Yeah, And it does start to feel that
maybe Jamis is that for this team. He is so
endlessly optimistic is the best way I would describe it.
(08:45):
I met a lot of people, wouldn't. Is that how
he Yeah, that's how he is. We all the time
he saw him at the golf course this summer with that,
we've seen him in the building like that. That's that is,
That is authentically who he is. There is no wavering
from that. There's no act to it. And I do
think when you're sitting in at two and eight and
you're trying to find your way through things and you
(09:05):
have a guy who is just always glasses half full,
it elevates and then when you get some results, then
that only accentuates it. So who knows what's to come
beyond this? Who knows, but for a given night. And
by the way, you got the full Jamis because a
couple of picks. That that's part of it too. When
(09:27):
you come with Jamis, he's a gunslinger in the most
traditional way, the scramble in where he gets helicoptered and
and scores and then the last drive and so you
get all of it with him. You certainly see when
you watch him play, there are and this has been
the way as long as been playing here, and it's
probably with what it was like in New Orleans everywhere else.
(09:48):
There are so many several plays in the course of
a game that you go, oh, yeah, that's number one
overall pick talent, the.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
One where he scrambles out and feathers it right over
Demante Case to Jerry Judy. I know, I'm pretty sure
that it was either a.
Speaker 9 (10:00):
Third or that that was after Tomlin took the penalty.
It was going to be fourth and two, and he
moved us back five yards, yep, and.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Then he get on the third and seven, and then
on the fourth and four before that, Judy makes a
great catch up. We'll talk about him more, but yeah,
Jamis keep going. I interrupted him. Yeah, no, no, there was,
I was.
Speaker 9 (10:17):
I was at the end of the point that it
was just I do get the feeling that he's everything
the doctor ordered for this team right now.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
I also feel like there was a time when everybody
in this town and I understand the emotions that could
not believe we didn't bring back Joe Flacco and we
signed Jameis Winston. Jamis is still a young guy. Jamis
could be a good quarterback in this league four years
thirty or thirty one. Yeah, I mean signfically longer, younger
(10:48):
than Joe Flack. Yes, for sure. Mine to kind of
what we were doing and you saw, I think you've
seen that. You know, we do have a different offense,
and you know we didn't keep running what we were running.
But obviously I don't think you're anybody's who's bummed right
now that the Jameis Winston is here, because how could
you be. The guy is playing unbelievable football for you
(11:09):
and you know, gritty gutty to come back from that interception,
It was not easy to throw the football on these issues.
I got to say something. Russell Wilson played a hell
of a game and took an absolute beating. He was crushed, walloped,
speared on at least four plays, and he completed two
of them, including the touchdown to Calvin Austin and a
third down conversion he made to Friarmuth on the on
(11:30):
the left sideline where Miles speared him on one and
on the other was Dalvin Tomlinson just absolutely annihilate him.
Hicks annihilated him a couple times. He was very, very
impressive to me. But we took their best and we won.
And when you needed a game winning drive. Jamis played
four games the Browns, two game winning drives. Two already,
there's there's a belief. It's it was just very funny. See.
(11:53):
So I got to talk to him after the game
and he had gone and done Amazon. He's throwing snowballs
and the people in the Angels, all of the snow
angels with everybody. He's joking that he'd already ordered a
w from Amazon and it was gonna be delivered at
nine o'clock tonight. And part of me want to say, well, Jamis,
SIT's eleven thirty, don't stop it. But he's not worried
(12:13):
about No, he's on. But then he had a moment
he was gonna go do ESPN. They were mike him
a free ESPN and I just I came over and
talked to him for a second and I said, you know,
I said, this was really special. And I said, I
know you, I know it was special just to win.
I said, but this to this city, for it to
be Brown Steelers and for to win like this, said
it was very special and so you know, thank you
for all that. And he just was like he's like resilient,
(12:34):
unwavering belief here the best. But then he was like,
he also said some real things, and you know, not
that that isn't real, it is, but you know, just
he understood the gravity of the moment and how much
fun he's having and how much he loves playing football here,
and it was it was very cool. It's much the way,
so different for a lot of reasons, but it's similar
(12:58):
in terms of the Hey, I used to be pretty
darn good. I haven't gotten the opportunity really to showcase
that I'm still good. They're probably people in my family
who have been like, you're not good anymore, Like black
goes with this kids, and then they come here and
this is such a pure football town that when you play,
and that's the other thing you and I had both
said it. At times it felt like our fan base
(13:20):
was as disinterested as ever, and then you have a
game like this and it's it's like the black hole.
They are sucked right back in. And so you know
that if you can build something special here, and I
think that resonates with a guy like Jameis Winston. And
really I was just proud of the team and proud
to be a part of the organization for everything from
the everything surrounding the game, to the performance that was
put on the field, to the way the fans acted,
(13:41):
although I did have to tell them we need to
have some decorum when there were snowballs being flung it
at Steelers players, So we need to have a little
bit of the little bit of here that we can't
have that, no, And I got a text from Mo
Pedman that said proud decorum in a proud city, which
made me laugh. Today, by the way, had a blast
going on his program this morning, and I asked him,
because you remember it last week it had said that
they should spl should play every game in Europe and
(14:03):
get him over with. So yeah, he has to watch
and I started, You're curious, like, are we allowed to
go to the United play again in the United States
of America again? He's like, oh, come on, you never
said anything when you were mad at Yeah, of course,
come on.
Speaker 9 (14:15):
It was clear to me that Jamis had never played
in a game like that, and maybe he'd never spent
a whole lot of time in snow because he tried
to do snow Angels after the interview on Amazon Prime
and he did him the wrong way. He was faced
down to hit your back jais that's the way it's
gotta go. Uh, he got it sorted out. Here's something
from my buddy John Breech, who covers the NFL for CBS.
He had this yesterday this morning, which I just hard
to wrap your head around the improbability of the win
(14:37):
last night. Over the past thirty years, NFL teams were
one hundred and seven and one when holding their opponents
to one or fewer third down conversions, forcing at least
three turnovers totaling three hundred and fifty yards or more
of offense. The Steelers did all three and lost. NFL
teams are now one hundred and seven and two in
those circumstances.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
So we did all three turnovers tilman fumble, but we
got it right back one pick and then the sacks
from Yeah, I mean they possessed it. At one point.
It was like the Steelers had one hundred yards and
we had like ten and we were down three nothing.
Speaker 9 (15:11):
Well, and honestly, like, we're not doing this show with
this tone. If we don't get an absolute shank on
a punt.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
It's a huge I think James could have let us down.
But yes, you're well, you might not have.
Speaker 9 (15:21):
It and then also like inexplicably the Steelers throwing the
ball down the field?
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Double hold on. Two things are inexplicable about that. The
first is that they throw the ball down the field.
The second, yeah, is that you had Russy and Jersey.
Jerry probably already's saying fragrances again's back to Fragrances.
Speaker 11 (15:39):
He is good.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Not only do you not do you have to throw
the ball? You ought to throw it with justin fields.
Now it felt like he checked out of that into
whatever and said I'm going to do it. But like
the notion that you're going to throw a fifty yard
bomb on what was that third and a couple, third
and a couple yeah, and you're not. Russ was end
the game twenty one to twenty eight, and that's with
(16:02):
multiple incompletions down the stretches. They're trying to get it going.
I can get a throw away and and a hail Mary.
Speaker 9 (16:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
He was like for it was like twenty one to
twenty five. Yeah, I mean he was. He played phenomenal football.
That was I said time that was inexplicable when you
were watching when Chubb runs down to the one they
have one time out left. Yeah, I was like, let's
kneel on this one. Yeah, force them to use the
timeout now they have none, run it and try to
(16:29):
score on the next one. If you don't, you're basically
gonna kick a twenty yard field goal, yes, to win
the game. Now, the conditions were terrible, but we'd seen
him put an extra point through, so I was part
of me was a little bit nervous that we were
going to give them the football back and an opportunity
with some time. But the defense played that well, and
(16:49):
I thought, Jim Schwartz, I want to give him a
lot of credit. I hate rushing three in those situations
because you're you're giving them all the time, and we've
seen that. I'm fine with blitzing and making him throw
the football immediately and he just got to go tackle.
But what he did was rush three. But Jordan Hicks
was there on a delayed blitz and that forced Russ
to throw it really before they had whatever they were
(17:10):
trying to get set up set up and got that done.
So a good job from Jimmi Schwartz there. I thought
the d played well. I thought it was again it
was a This was a great win for the Cleveland Browns.
Speaker 9 (17:22):
And it's it's just fun. It's fun. It's a reminder
of you know, sometimes we all get caught and by
we all you whether it be you and I or
sports media, fans, social media, whatever, like, you get caught
thinking about big picture all the time, and sometimes you
miss little things in the process, and wins feel good.
Wins against your hated rival feel really damn good, and
(17:45):
you're not worried about what it matters in April with
the draft. It's about winning a Thursday night, and it's
about feeling good on a Friday, and we'll deal with
the rest of the issues and how to reshape this
team in the offseason. Fine, that's all fine, But sometimes
it just feels damn good.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Win.
Speaker 9 (18:00):
It feels damn good to have Miles Garrett on your team. Yeah,
and I love that he made a statement that performance
in the first half and they toured it hoffs, Yeah, hoffs.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
It was a lot like Jordan personally. Yeah, take that personally.
Speaker 9 (18:15):
And then Hoff saying that at his best, he's the
best ed rusher in the history of the league. When
he's at his best, coming off of the week and
the season and all of it. That was a little
bit of come at the King, you best not miss.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Yeah, and and and we did it. We did it.
You got Miles was great. He had the three sacks,
eight pressures. How about Dalvin Tomlinson a career high ten
pressures in this game. Yeah, Dalvin was everywhere.
Speaker 8 (18:40):
I mean it.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
And that's what it takes in a game like this,
it takes everybody you're able to overcome. You know, last
week we lose a game where we have over four
hundred yards of offense, no turnovers, win the turnover battle
by two, and we lose by twenty one. And in
this one, we lose the turnover battle by two to
the Steelers. That alone, if you said that pregame, okay
we lose, Yeah, and you win this game. It's just
just incredible. What a great performance. And and it was
(19:03):
so much fun. And what I think you found here
is that you've got you definitely have a little bit
of a nucleus of people on both sides of the
ball that you know we're going to be your course.
So guy like let's say, for example, Jerry Judy. Jerry
Judy is a legit number one receiver in the NFL
and showed it last night. Every game, which Jay Show.
(19:24):
He's been over seventy yards and all of those games,
averaging just under one hundred yards a game. But when
you think about on the final possession, and you know
who the Steelers are, we talked about they're going to
play man. He roasted Joey Porter Junior on multiple, multiple
big plays down the stretch. You go to that final
drive where you get the touchdown, it's Jerry Judy on
(19:45):
fourth and three making a difficult catch. He's his body
is backing up the throws low in slippery conditions. Has
to go down and get it. He does. And then
on the third and seven after that penalty, wins against
Joey Porter Junior on that over route for fifteen yards.
Just incredible. Now, I don't know if they talked about
this on the game, but it felt like in the
boots was he was never touched.
Speaker 9 (20:07):
So I don't think he was touched.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
So so now he's not touching and I was like,
yeb run.
Speaker 9 (20:12):
Yeah, And in the end zone on the television broadcast
in real time, it didn't look like he was touched.
And then they ran a replay on the on the
Amazon coverage and it didn't look like he was touched.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
So then beingie Bishop, your cousin, Yeah, punches the ball
out I know, kind of justifiably, so yeah, and we
get an extra five yards.
Speaker 9 (20:31):
I know, I know, I don't know. Hey, hey, hey,
we'll take it. Come on, come on, we'll take it. No,
I didn't think he was. And the game was happening
so fast at that point. They just did like one
replay of it. They weren't able maybe did one or two,
so it wasn't like they were able to go from
a bunch of different angles and find out if he
was touched up.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
But it did not look like iteah to me on
the television copy, and just I was talking with my nemesis, yeah,
Jeff Jarrett, Oh I thought you may give it.
Speaker 8 (21:01):
Oh well he is.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Yeah, he's my everyday nemesis, but my once nemesis in
the squared circle.
Speaker 9 (21:04):
Perhaps again next summer.
Speaker 8 (21:06):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
I feel like now, I feel like at this point
we'd have to team up. I feel like we'd have
to be friends.
Speaker 9 (21:10):
I can see you guys doing that you with a
heel turn, yeah, I could do oh you at heel turn?
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Yeah, with fantastically. You're ready, good time, I'm ready for yeah,
I'm ready for that. So he's married to Karen Jarrett,
who used to be married to Kurt Angle, and Karen
and kurk chair son Cody, who's a huge Steelers fan.
So he was like texting me the whole time, and
then Jeff jo was texting me throughout the game with
Cody's reactions to various things, and we were having a
(21:35):
fun back and forth. But at the end of it,
I go, I said to him, I go, this was
like a main event wrestling match, and it told a
great story, took you on an emotional ride. I said,
you're up eighteen to six, and the fourth the good
guy's dominating. It's going to be great. You're gonna win.
And then all of a sudden, the Heels do something dastardly.
(21:58):
They hadn't scored a touchdown in seven quarters dating back
to the Washington game because no touchdowns in the Baltimore game,
and then none for three quarters against US, and then
they score two and seven minutes. I mean, I'm sorry,
they score two touchdowns in two minutes. Two yeah, in
two minutes because it was touchdown sex for fumble touchdown, and.
Speaker 9 (22:16):
You go, what just happened?
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Now, you're down nineteen to eighteen.
Speaker 9 (22:19):
And then I said, then, well then we went out
we we didn't pick it up.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Oh that we throw an interception, Yeah, and we had
to throw it out cooked, but then we hulked up.
Speaker 9 (22:28):
We did, and then we hit him.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
With the big boot, drop the leg one two three.
Everybody goes home happy. I mean, you couldn't you couldn't.
Speaker 9 (22:35):
Well add, there's a couple other things here. Add the
Nick Chubb part of it.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
For Nick Chubb to score once against the Steilers was
so symboc For Nick Chubb to be the one who
scores the game winning touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers over
just over a year after the horrific injury he suffered
against the Steelers, incredible, absolutely incredible.
Speaker 9 (22:58):
Yeah, I tweet some of the effect of like the
football gods do exist. That that's how that that's it.
I mean we saw it with with the voice and
now this so like that was so appropriate and the
way that it had to go was for Nick to score.
Speaker 11 (23:14):
All right.
Speaker 9 (23:14):
The next thing we got to talk about is the
is the weather. So I will tell you that if
you Amazon had this incredible thing that I'd never seen before,
brought overlay, so they were able, to your point, they
were able to overlay the yardage, the all of it
onto the snow. So when they took it away, I went,
(23:35):
my god, wow.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
We didn't know and even in the scoreboard they had
no idea at some points where where they were on
the field.
Speaker 9 (23:42):
Actually, how bad were the visual conditions from your from
your advantage?
Speaker 2 (23:48):
It was a snow, it was it was a thick
snow globe, and it was a heavy, thick snow. We
couldn't tell. And even on TV it felt like it
was hard to tell if they were making the kicks.
Speaker 9 (24:00):
Like the ball will kind of go on you would, yeah,
on the you could if you were from the directly
behind camera, Yeah yeah, yeah, you could anything. You couldn't
even tell where it was going.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
No, we couldn't see the ball. They had crews that
would sprint sideline to sideline on the lines, and then
they had two people and g man, this really should
have been in the open. I did a great breakdown
of the race between the far hash and the near
hash guy as they like tried to clear their hashes
in Like far hash guy it was like fifteen yards
I'd smoke though he smoked him.
Speaker 11 (24:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
I was like, come on, pick it up.
Speaker 9 (24:34):
I saw him with like the snow shovels in the broom.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Yeah, that's what we're doing. Yeah, wild I mean. And
then we were watching at the at the end in
the postgame, they were showing kind of Amazon's highlight packages
of the whole game. The beginning of the game, they're
playing on green grass. Nope, there isn't a snowflake to
be seen, and it looks like a normal night football game.
And then it turns into a total blizzard and a
memorable game. And I've heard a lot of people say, well,
(24:57):
now we definitely can't have a dome that's a fun
one off. First of all, doesn't happen all that often
where it is fun. And if that game we're played today,
by the way, right now, everybody would be wanting.
Speaker 9 (25:06):
It done forty two degrees in rain.
Speaker 11 (25:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
So it was magical. It was great. I'm so happy
I was a part of it again too. Just incredible
games and wins in a season of of you know,
a lot of disappointment and difficulty.
Speaker 9 (25:21):
I just don't and this is we don't need to
turn it into that. I know, but but no, but no, no,
I'm with you from the standpoint of what what the
what that type of thing does. Honestly should have benefited
them because they're built for that type of stuff. And
I just went over the anomaly of us actually winning
when we had three turnovers, when all of the things
(25:42):
that happen and somehow you still win. It was just
such a miraculous thing to be able to do. But
when you have the most talent, you want it to
be on perfect. You want it perfect. And that's that's
the idea on that on that type of thing. So
it was it was fun. It was a really fun night.
On the television side of things. I know a lot
of people are coming up my guy al for for
how because he was losing track. He couldn't tell who
(26:05):
the people were. I'm like, he's eighty. First of all,
give him.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
A path to get to see him in the hall.
Speaker 9 (26:09):
And I don't think many people could no. I mean,
you're looking down your way up and you're looking through
that snow trying to make out who's down there.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
You know, it was it was very difficult. It was
difficult to see. There were difficult conditions obviously, Yeah, now
would that does not I got like I said, I
got see in the hall is great to Yee the.
Speaker 9 (26:30):
Time of his life too. He was having a ball.
He loved it, he loved the crowd, he loved the snow,
he loved all of it. I think they all, everybody
on that on that crew did.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
How did you not Yea. That's what we talk about
it all the time. Best fans in the world and
how you know, and they deserve you all deserve a winner,
and you deserve this team to be what we all
believed that it would be, and it has not been.
But they have provided you some moments and you know,
(27:00):
you have a situation now over the final six games
where you can end up making this a pretty respectable season. Yeah,
you're going to be playing good competition. I mean, so
if you do do if you do make this a
respectable and in terms of your one lost record, you're
going to be like, Okay, we're there is something really
a nucleus here that we can build on and perhaps
(27:20):
even some young, younger pieces that can become bigger pieces
for us in the future. And I think if that
does happen too, then that jamis kind of helps you
solidify that position, at least for a while, yeah, which
would be a very helpful and useful thing, you know, Boots.
Speaker 9 (27:38):
He said, this morning you went to bed. Obviously, he goes,
we win and I said, I go, yeah, we won
twenty four nineteen or whatever, and he goes, he goes, yeah,
we always beat Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
It's my boys.
Speaker 9 (27:50):
All he knows.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
Listen, three in a row at home, three in a
road home.
Speaker 9 (27:54):
He was at the first, the other two. Yeah, it's
all he knows.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
It's what we do. Pittsburgh comes over here, we beat,
we beat him. That's it.
Speaker 9 (27:59):
Go home, tail in your legs. All right, you're a
couple of things. Just logistically, we are game in Week
sixteen has been flexed out Thursday Football, So we were
set to play Thursday football down in Cincinnati against the Bengals.
That was a December nineteenth game. That game is now
going to be played on Sunday at twenty second at
(28:19):
one instead of on Amazon.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
It's terrible, terrible, Kenny, I'm not gonna lie. Terrible. I'm
not happy about it.
Speaker 9 (28:26):
Yeah, it's nice for it would have been nice to
have that extended weekend for families and stuff going to
holiday and all of that.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
It's unbelievably rude to the Denver Broncos, who now will
be the first team in NFL history to play two
Thursday nights on the road in the same season off
of short weeks like not coming off. Ooh, that's dicey.
I just think the Browns draw good ratings. Yeah, Browns
(28:56):
would have been an entertaining game.
Speaker 9 (28:58):
I just think it was the time of year. Somebody said,
we'd much rather just stay in La.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Mara was so against that at the owners of being
saying that you can only move. It has to be
the most dire of circumstances. I don't know if that
this is the most dire of circumstances. You saw plenty
of star power, yeah, on the field with the Browns
and the Bengals. Plenty.
Speaker 9 (29:17):
Yes, Yeah, I would I would agree with you on
that front. And you know what, would rate and Herbie
would love it because he's to stay home, so he
would like it a lot. One other thing go ahead, And.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I was just saying, and my guess is Monday night
will be the last prime time There's no way Browns
Dolphins staying on Sunday night football.
Speaker 9 (29:34):
You wouldn't think, no, No, Well, you made it it
was a wonderful open g Man loved it. Neither Z
nor I were featured it, and as he should could
have been, as he was on the call, I was not.
But Amazon did think enough of us, So while our
own radio show doesn't think enough of us, we were
featured prominently in the pregame. So yeah, so yeah, what
is a wild blanket statement. I don't know that it
(29:57):
was wild or blanket. I think it's all factual. We
were in the Amazon pregame show right before kickoff. We
were not in the open of our own show.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
What was What was was you and I? I know
why they do the week I know, but what was
our banter? Do you remember?
Speaker 9 (30:09):
It was about the Michigan stuff like go win one? Yeah, yeah,
it was right there. It was right there. So that
thank you Amazon, NFL Films, thank you for thinking highly
of us.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Yeah, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Looking
forward to working with.
Speaker 9 (30:22):
You on I don't have free mic, g Man, you
don't have access to free mike. Like, we're not there yet,
g Man, I mean the nice open man.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
You can turn your mic on for this. To answer
this question, if somebody were new to our program, would
they think that I am in the booth for the game,
so they think I do Browns daily? Would they think
I exist.
Speaker 8 (30:46):
Too?
Speaker 9 (30:46):
Che Well done, g man, that's a good way to
take your medicine.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Good jovit.
Speaker 9 (30:50):
You listen, he wants where's this?
Speaker 2 (30:52):
G man? Listen every now and then. Sometimes you got
to take one step backwards to take two steps forwards.
And I think we had to have like we had
a real like let's get let's get the big picture here.
Here are there are two paths you can pick. Yep.
It's kind of like the scene in Caddysheck when Judge
smail sits Danny nowtan Down says, do you believe in
goodness or badness?
Speaker 11 (31:11):
Straightforward?
Speaker 2 (31:12):
That's that's simple.

brought down again. It's another sack for Miles Garrett.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
That's the hat trick in the first half for the
second time in his last two home games. Miles Carot
now ninety eight and a half sacks on his career,
ten on the season. He is the only player in
the NFL to have ten sacks in seven straight season.

get any lower on my total pull, he completely redeems
himself to the moon with g Man. The g Man's
like Bitcoin right now, running wild, keep.
Speaker 9 (33:15):
Running, all right. Let's uh, let's hear from some of
the some of the sound from last night. Let's start
with your head coach Kevin Stefanski on Nick Chubb.
Speaker 6 (33:25):
Yeah, I've run out of superlatives for for Nick, honestly,
and uh, he's my favorite player in the team. You
can tell everybody else. I said that I have a
favorite kid too. She's not here. But Nick does the
right thing all the time. And to see how what
he's gone through to come back and put himself where
he is, just to be back playing in the first place,
(33:48):
and then to be back out there and performing like
he's performing, scoring for his football team, and we need
him the most. Uh, He's he's a special, special player.
But he's a he's a great person.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
All right.
Speaker 9 (34:01):
Let's hear from Miles Garrett now on the three sack
effort from last night juxtaposed to TJ. Watt with zero.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
I mean, I wouldn't really looking at like what he did,
and I was really just focus on I'm going out there.
I'm playing the best, very best ball I could. But yeah,
you know, I wanted to know, make a known that
I mean, I'm the guy, I'm number one as defender,
and that was a statement I was intended to make.
I think I made.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
I like this this to me. We don't hear a
lot of necessarily you know, that kind of personal fire
and that kind of you know, like I said, it
was like Michael Jordan and I took that personally.
Speaker 5 (34:45):
Yea.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
He took all the discussion that was happening around TJ.
Watt and him personally and said, you know what, how
do I stop that with my play on the field.
And if you look at Miles Garrett's performance, and you
got to give a tip of the hap to the man,
Jack Conklin, great job out there at right, but Wyatt
got him wants to on James's that's a fourth down
touchdown TJ.
Speaker 9 (35:05):
Yeah, he Wyatt got him pretty good, crushed him.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Yeah, he knocked him back to the sixteen yard line.
By the way I described this as I had a
conversation with my dad last night. I didn't I'll tell
you what I said on the broadcast and tell you
what I wanted to say. But I felt like it
would have been it was so niche that it would
not have it wouldn't have lainded as well. But I
don't know how it felt on television, but watching Jameis
Winston's touchdown run on fourth down felt like it occurred
in slow motion.
Speaker 9 (35:28):
It felt like that on TV too. I don't know
if it was because of the static like appearance of
the snow or if his feet were really heavy because.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
Of all of the move it was. I think he's
trying to be very sure about his feet and he scored.
It was great. But my dad used always when when
we were younger, Chris Mullen on the Dream Team, I mean, yeah,
a man of serious consequences as player, but he would
drive to the basket. There are few times that he
would drive and it was in super slow motion, but
(35:57):
somehow he just kind of slow motioned himself into good
position it would score. And that's what Jamis did, right.
They looked like anybody was going to catch him, sure,
and yet nobody did. Nobody and he was in there. Ah,
it was great.
Speaker 9 (36:09):
This was from the hoff last night, and I know
the Hoffel joint is coming up at two o'clock. Miles
Garrett ad his best as the best individual pass rusher
in NFL history. The Steelers game plan coming in was
limit Miles Garrett's impact, beat him up in the run game,
and when they're passing the ball, double him every way possible.
Every time one double team didn't work, they tried someone else. Chips, bumps,
(36:30):
tight ends, double team slides. Nothing worked. He was unblockable
by every lineman. That don't take my word for it.
Mike Tomlin just said it at halftime.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Yeah he was. There was one where they tried to
chip with Jalen Warren. He ran right around Jalen Warren
and through Jalen Warren and still got to the spot
before Dan Moore, the left tackle, was able to get
to his kickspot even though he had not. He didn't
have to worry about Miles at the beginning because of
the chip. And by the way, we did some chipping
on TJ.
Speaker 11 (36:55):
Watt.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
We did more chipping on the other side with affetti
on Nate Herbig, and for the most part it was effective.
But the one it was kind of very similar to
the play that Jed had in Pittsburgh that ended the
saxtrip fumble that went for a touchdown. Fortunately this did
not where he just almost was a beat late getting
out and the guy Basin just ran the corner and
was there for that sax strip fumble. I really thought
(37:16):
it was very very It was very cool for Miles
Garrett to do that. We got the nice drop there.
So he's now one of seven players and I think
the rest are in the Hall of Fame or five
of the other sixer in the Hall of Fame to
have seven straight seasons with ten of more sax He's
the only player in the league right now that's done that.
He's gonna he's closing in. I think he's one and
a half away now from one hundred in his career.
(37:39):
Ninety and a half. Yeah, got his twentieth force fumble
of his career. Just it really it was very very cool.
He's had two games now, which is wild that have
two games where you've had a hat trick in the
first half. Yeah, the last two home games Chargers and
this one had hat trick in the first half of
both of those. Yeah, he is dominant and there was
(38:00):
And again I said this in the opening segment, it
is clear that the film session that they had to
watch on Monday night or Monday after getting back from
New Orleans, whether it was coaches saying this isn't going
to stand, whether it was players looking around at each
other and saying this isn't going to stand. That was
a new defense in terms of just the physicality, the
(38:22):
flying around and the intensity. And I know Grant got
you know when people were very mad at him for
pulling the mouthpiece. You know, you can't do that. It's
an unfortunate fifteen yard or there down at the goal
line and the Steelers would score off that. But he
played with such physicality in this game. It was awesome.
Speaker 9 (38:37):
I would I'll tell you, I'd rather have that than
no give a damn like the fourth quarter against the Saints. Yes, yes, right, yeah,
I'd rather go a little bit over the line from
time to time than not go near it at all.
Is kind of where we're at on that at least
where I am in terms of Jamis, let's hear from
your quarterback on what a win like this can do
for momentum.
Speaker 7 (38:58):
We have to stack it day at a time. Today, yes,
we're gonna celebrate, man. You know, I'm grateful that fans
came out and showed up. But we got to see
this team. In two weeks. We had the Denver Broncos
on Monday Night Football, another prime time game, and they're
playing good.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
My Alabama boy bow Niggs, he's showing.
Speaker 7 (39:14):
Out, he's playing you know. But at the same time, man,
we're gonna celebrate today. We have to focus on being
where our feet are and right now we're gonna celebrate
this win. We still got some things we gotta clean up.
I still got some things I gotta clean up. So
we're still focusing on building on the positives and eliminating they.
Speaker 9 (39:31):
He's fun, man, He's fun.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
He joyous. Jamis joyous.
Speaker 9 (39:35):
Jamis Yeah, it's fun fun. Some big news in the
NFL this morning. This morning, Daniel Jones went to the
New York Giants and requested his release, and the Giants said, yeah,
we're good with that. So Daniel Jones goes on waivers
due to his contract he expected to clear and become
a free agent. The Giants will take over twenty million
in dead money by releasing him.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Anyone like this in a while, No, and it's it's honestly,
kudos to the Giants for doing this. He deserves, he's
deserving of this freedom that they are granting him. That
show exposed a great many things about.
Speaker 9 (40:13):
That organized off season if you haven't seen it.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
One of which was they weren't sold on Daniel Jones,
even though they had awarded him a rather large contract. Yeah,
he has some good traits, he's got some obviously some struggles.
That's just that's the bottom line. But I think this
is a class move. And I thought what I really
appreciated about it, and i'll I want to try to
(40:38):
pull it up real quickly, is it was very refreshing
to me to see how it was communicated to the public.
You've got a statement from the president, John Marra whose
(40:58):
ownership ownership. Yep, Daniel came to see me this morning
and asked if we would release him. We mutually agreed
that would be best for him and for the team.
Daniel's been a great representative our organization. First class in
every way. His handling of this situation yesterday exemplifies just that.
We're all dispounded, disappointed in how things have worked out.
We hold Daniel in high regard and have a great
appreciation for him. We wish him nothing but the best
(41:19):
in the future. This is something where it could have
just come out they were cutting him, speculation runs wild,
Daniel Jones was maybe doing some behind the scenes. It
was good when you have the owner come out and
issue a statement of First of all, Daniel initiated this, yep,
not us. We said, you know what, You've been great
in everything that you've done here. You've done everything we've
asked it as you have performed necessarily the way we
(41:40):
had all hoped. But you were a great member of
this organization and did everything you could to be your best.
We respect that, and so we're going to grant you
the release. That's cool. I thought that when I saw that,
I thought it was it was cool, and it's refreshing
to hear an actual You don't need to get it
from an insider. Oh, here's exactly what happened. Here is
the truth. I agree, here's what happened, And there's too
(42:03):
little of that.
Speaker 9 (42:03):
I wish there were more of it, and the reality
is there could be. It's just they don't choose to.
But I thought it was first class and I think
it will. I think it fits what the Giants are
is an organization, yes, the way that they handle it.
So I'm with you, a good job, and I think
he'll land somewhere. I don't know if he'll do it.
You may sit the rest of this year out and
then just going to true free agency next year.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
I know it's a short week, but I think Jerry
Jones needs to sign him on Monday and play him
on Thursday.
Speaker 9 (42:29):
Oh my god, it gets unbelievable, right, be diabolical. Now
we're watching at four o'clock, right.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
I mean, it's a short week. It's tough, but I
mean we've seen people that bake did it on a
short week and with the Rams. Get him in there,
let him play the Giants. That is now must see TV.
In fact, I almost I think Roger Goodell or whoever,
that's a fine arrange it that needs to be insistent upon.
You're not going anywhere with Cooper Rush. Who cares that
season's over? Now, let's do something that's really, really fun
(42:58):
and that would be really fun. And by the way,
everybody would be rooting for Daniel Jones. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (43:04):
I think that's fair.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
Yeah, say, this is why we need to be sports
are so we have so many great ideas, so many
great ideas.

I did like in that a little bit of in
the back for me.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
We get it, We get it.
Speaker 9 (44:27):
Yeah, and I didn't have my There was a little
bit of a Steelers got.
Speaker 4 (44:31):
To the line, they snap it on fourth down, give
it to warn hit the back field turnover on downs,
Jordan Hecks makes a play. That's good, and the Browns
get the ball back.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
Well that was so that was a horrible spot. They
actually should have been back about a yard. They realized
it and we're like, let's just go hurry up and
just try to carry get it and we stopped him.
So one thing I want to say when we're talking
about the turnover battle, that we lost a turnover battle.
If you take the our turnover that we got and
then you take what was it a why am I blinking?
(45:07):
We didn't have a pick. We had one turnover, oh
Miles sextra fumble, Yeah yeah, yea, so we have one turnover.
We also stopped them on fourth down twice. Yes, in
between the forties, so like significant fieldwing, those are turnovers.
So it was really kind of three to three.

Speaker 8 (47:51):
Joyous Jambs. I mean, can you imagine the scene that
we would have seen last night when we were talking
there at CVD in the studio yesterday was just amazing,
a script that Hollywood wouldn't have been able to come
up with.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
You're right, I mean it had it all. You have
the snow globe, it's almost a surreal environment. And then
what we talked about, the icing on the ky got
Miles Garrett dominating you. Your praise in that regard is incredible.
You've got Nick Chubb coming back from that catastrophic injury
suffered at the hands of the hated Steelers by everybody
(48:28):
but well the hated Steelers and not only scoring once,
but scoring the game winning touchdown. It's sometimes, as we
said kind of with the Jim Donovan game against Raven,
sometimes you can't make this stuff up. Sports can be
better than fiction because it's so pure, and this was
one of those games.
Speaker 8 (48:47):
That was the best therapy. And I thought it was
really cool being able to really just sit on the
couch for the first time in a long time. Nobody
around me watching the game, just absorbing everything that was
happening and just seeing the little storylines that were happening overdempsh.
That was so cool. Obviously, going into it, it was
all about Nick Chubb and his first time facing the
Steelers since that horrible injury that he had last season.
But then throughout the game, right the opportunity that David
(49:10):
and Joku had right in the end zone, he drops
it games on the line and you're just thinking, oh, man,
there it is. You know, we just lost the game
because he didn't make that catch. Jamis runs it in
on a fourth down, goes right back to David and Joku,
giving him an opportunity for redemption in the end zone,
makes a ridiculous over the top catch, he's able to
steal the two point conversion. Same thing happened in the
(49:32):
game with Jordan Akins. I mean, it was just so
cool seeing those little storylines pop up and wondering if
those guys were going to get another chance at redemption,
and sure enough, it seemed to happen every single time.
And it finished with Nick Chubb, like you mentioned, but
even before that, it was Jamis, you know, throwing the interception,
getting one more opportunity taking this team down the field
after the shank punt, putting him in the end zone.
I mean, it was just so much fun, so much
(49:54):
joy on every level. And then to do it in
a surreal environment in a snow globe, like you said,
which every NFL fan watching those snow games, and then
doing it on Thursday night football, where the whole league
is watching, the whole country is watching. It was so
special and it was just the type of therapy that
Browns fans needed.
Speaker 9 (50:10):
When you're arguably the best left tackle in the history
of the sport and you tweet what you tweeted last night,
and before you did, you were texting it with us
about Miles and about how at his best he's the
best ed dresser in the history of the league. When
that comes from somebody like you, that carries a little
bit more weight to it. Obviously, what is it about
(50:31):
his performance last night that And I obviously I know
how much you respect him, and I know how great
you think he's been in all of that, But what
was it about last night that that made you want
to want to put that out there?
Speaker 8 (50:45):
Well, I think it was really cool just listening to
him during the week talk about, you know, the little
mini rivalry that him and TJ have and how he
felt disrespected by the tweets and the things that TJ
and family have said about him winning the award last year,
and in Miles his own little way, you knew that
he was going to be ready for this one, like
(51:05):
this one meant more. He said it after the game.
But I think the thing that was the most interesting
to me and kind of why since that tweet, was
in the first half the game plan, the highest priority
for the Steelers is like, we need to handle Miles Garrett.
They knew that they weren't gonna be able to win
the game if they couldn't handle him, and so they
were double teaming him in every way imaginable, tight end
in line, double teams, slide with the guard and the tackle,
(51:28):
double teams, chips with the running back, and it didn't
matter what they did, he was winning every seaple rap
and even Mike Tomlins said at halftime, I think Kaylee
Hartton may have asked him about it, and he was like,
we literally are doing everything we can in the playbook
to try to double team him and stop him, and
we weren't able to do it. He's still had three
sacks and dominated the first half, and I was kind
of watching him specifically and from a left tackle's perspective,
(51:53):
I'm like, how would I face him if I had
a block of one on one right now or even
let's say in my prime, Like what would I be thinking?
And I can't think of if I had one rep,
like what I would do to him that I had
confidence that I could win. You know, I think about
other pass rushers that I've watched and guys that I
didn't even play against, you know, like the greats, Lawrence Taylor,
Reggie White, like all those guys. I thought, all right,
(52:15):
if I was going to go against Reggie White, I
would have to keep my inside hand low because you
have to worry about the help move, right, but I
would just go be aggressive jumps, let him get on
him right away, don't let him get ahead of steam,
and then you got a chance you can hang on
right But you kind of know what the counter move
is right with TJ. He's gonna jump the snap, so
you're gonna be in good shape as long as you
don't get beat off the snap quick at reflexes in football,
(52:37):
He's gonna get off the snap.
Speaker 13 (52:38):
But we saw with Jack Conklin never one time was
he laid off football. He was able, he was able
to handle TJ a little bit right. And with all
the greats that I've played against that I've watched, there's
always something that you feel like you might be able
to hang on with. But with good Miles, the way
that he.
Speaker 8 (52:54):
Moves side to side, the way that he's able to
attack your inside, your outside. He's so big and awful.
He takes such big steps and he's got such great
ankle flexibility that once he gets a little edge on you,
he's around you. And so you really you can't short
set him. You can't step set off on him, you
can't double team him. There's really no way when he's
(53:14):
at his best. If you know, I'm whenever I pass
on and I'm standing at the gates of Hell and uh,
the Devil's like you come on, I'll say it's it's
the other way double Like, hey, you got one one
on one pass rush in training camp. Who's the last
guy you want to see on Earth. There's a lot
(53:35):
of guys that are down on that list, but Miles
is the last guy I would want to see for
one rep. And I think that's really what sort of
inspired my tweet. It was like, all right, this is
the bowser. He's the last dude you have to face
and the guy that you do not want to face
the most. Out of any pass rushing in this year,
it was not really conversation about who's the most valuable
or who's the best player, the guy that asked the most,
(53:55):
who was one rep one on one pass rush, who's
the last guy you want to see that's last there.
Speaker 2 (54:01):
Well, that makes me feel like, you know, we always
talk about the greatest game ever and that there should
be a special wing in the Hall of Fame where
they make the ultimate you know, eleven on eleven, ultimate offense,
ultimate defense, and if you're in that game, and then
as things change and evolve, if somebody ends up replacing
you in that game, you stay in that hall because
(54:22):
you were at one point in the greatest game ever.
You know, when you make statements like that, you know,
and it would be two teams, so it'd be four tackles,
you know, whatever, the greatest game ever. You know, if
you're in that, hoff is in that The way he's
talking to me sounds like Miles Garrett would be in
that game, and a Telt's on that trajectory of his greatness,
seventh straight seasons with ten or more sacks, and he
(54:44):
did take that. Personally, I thought, I thought that was incredible.
Now I want to ask you about two things that
happened in this game that if you've seen an equivalent
in your playing career. The first we're gonna start with.
You got Jack Conklin engaged with TJ. Watts. So were
you ever engaged with a pass rusher and your guard
peeled back and then launched them six to seven yards
(55:04):
in the air downfield as we saw on Jamis's touchdown run.
Speaker 8 (55:09):
I can't say I've ever had that. Obviously, it played
next to the great Chold but Tony and he gave
me some help from time to time and would whack
the defensive end when he tried to come to the
be gap. But I can't of remember. It was such
a beast mode, just picking another human up and just
popping him to the side like he's a rag doll,
So that he wasn't definitely the first.
Speaker 2 (55:29):
He wasn't coming to the be gap. It's not like
he made an inside move. He was rushing around the
edge and while just peeled back and absolutely COBLOWI him
that was beautiful.
Speaker 8 (55:39):
The help underneath is like the most unexpected help ever
because you're like, oh, where did that come from? There?
You love a brother when he helped you out, all right.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
So that was the first. The second is when the
Browns went for the hard count. And I don't know
if you've seen the clips or the audio, but jamis
at the end, after he's going hut hut and doing
all his you know, trying to draw him off with
the hard count, he says and I quote someone jump
off sides damn as part of his hard count. That
was the end of that, which is unbelievable. Have you
(56:10):
ever experienced that? Huff?
Speaker 8 (56:13):
No?
Speaker 10 (56:13):
But that's why it's joyous, staments because he's got no conscience,
like with everything he does, and there's no filtering between
his brain and his mouth, and there's an unwavering belief.
Speaker 8 (56:24):
And everything he says and resilience. But it gives you
such joy. And the moments that are good are soap
on and they're still amazing because he gives you these
amazing quotes and memories that are just gonna be stuck
into your little brain cells until the day you die.
Speaker 11 (56:41):
Is a Browns fan.
Speaker 9 (56:43):
Don't you think I said this in the first segment.
I think he's much like caw Flacco was the perfect
quarterback in that perfect team, and obviously that led to
something bigger in terms of us being a playoff team
and that incredible December that no one's ever going to forget.
But I do think, considering where this season was, Jamis
might be kind of the perfect quarterback for this team.
He's just so damn much fun and he's fun for
(57:05):
players to be around, and we know because we see it.
He's first in the building, last to leave. He's authentically
like that. He's in an eleven all the time, like
there's nothing manufactured or fake about and you can see
the guys rallying behind it.
Speaker 8 (57:19):
Yeah, he's the perfect quarterback for this moment, right. We
need joy because this is the most disappointing season that
we can ever remember, and you need to continue your
fandom these little like moments of joy, these little blips
on your radar where you for you out everything that
happened before this game and you're just lost in the
emotion of what's happening in front of you, and that's
exactly what happened. And Jamis is the guy. That's why
(57:42):
I'm sorry Ze for texting you so much during the game,
but I didn't mean I love that, but I was
just so excited and really, the season, it's it's Jamis
the season, right, That's what we're living for right now.
And he's the one that's providing the pure joy and
it's like the nickname Joyus Jamis is show after him.
Speaker 2 (58:01):
What about I got another play when Cedera Tillman fumbles
and Dante Jackson's trying to run it back. Who made
the tackle Jamis? And then not only after he tackles
him and he like really tackled him as a no, no, no, no,
we don't need to do that, but then he's he's
down and then he's ripping the ball out and trying
to pretend like it's a fumble going nuts. I'm just
(58:24):
that's I'm glad he didn't get hurt on it. But
that's kind of stuff that I would imagine in a
film room. It's got to get guys. They've got to
be rolling, they've got to be loving it.
Speaker 8 (58:33):
Yeah, I mean, you need that type of quarterback when
you're having this type of season that we're having right now.
And I remember when we drafted Cam Irving, he played
with Jamis and he was good friends with him at
Florida State, and I remember asking Cam, like, you'll tell
me about Jamis because obviously he's always making news, especially
in college when in the Heisman and having the off
the field and issues and the speeches and everything, and
(58:54):
he's like, you would love playing for him, and I
never really understood what he meant. I'm like, really, this
guy has just throwing picks all over the place, saying
goofy stuff all the time, and now I get it,
Like it just it makes sense now, right, because he's
a guy that just attacks his job every day with joy,
with a childlike exuberance, and you see it and it's
for better or worse, but that's exactly who he is.
(59:14):
And in today's day and age of a lot of
phonies out there like that dude is just as authentic
as it comes. And that's why it's easy to love
a man like that when you're doing things like he
did last night and your giving team hope when it
feels like the situation is hopeless and a reason to
tune in and I watched like an hour of postgame
because I didn't want to party that it's.
Speaker 11 (59:36):
There.
Speaker 9 (59:36):
The question that now will come is okay, now what next?
Speaker 8 (59:41):
Right?
Speaker 9 (59:41):
I mean, we all And that's the thing that was
so special about last night is it was really just
about a Thursday night. It was about a victory Friday
and then we'll go from here. But there is a
chance now for this team to do this a little
bit more often. You got Cincinnati again, obviously, play this
Pittsburgh team in two weeks. You've got Denver who's a
playoff team, Miami's trying to track down the postseason, Kansas City.
(01:00:03):
There's a lot of these big spotlight games left in
the last month and a half for us. What do
you think they can take from this going forward? If anything, Well, I.
Speaker 8 (01:00:14):
Think you're gonna have a lot of the same players
on the team. Obviously next year. We've got a lot
of great players, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
And sometimes you said of that because you're losing, But
I'm hoping that internally within the locker room, they understand
after getting a win like this, how good they can be,
but also how fun that can be. Right, Like you know,
(01:00:37):
the players are getting paid a lot of money, they're
doing something that it's a kid's game for a Kings ransom.
Everybody's got their own agendas, but you lose sight of
how fun this game is sometimes and how fun it
can be when you're winning and you're doing fun stuff.
And I hope that that's the message that Jamis brings
in the locker room, and not really with his speeches,
(01:00:57):
but just with his actions, and I think they realize
in the locker room, Wow, we really have a lot
of talent, and this is a really fun thing when
everybody's clicking and playing together and playing for each other.
And hopefully that's something that they can reflect on through
the off season and maybe coming the next season with
a bit of a different attitude after having gone through
(01:01:19):
what they went through at the beginning of the season.
And how miserable it is when you lose in the NFL,
especially when expectations are high, and how great it is
when you do have high expectations and you realize those
expectations in front of the best fans in football.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
All Right, if I got to ask you a little
bit about your TV setup here, it looks like we
have we have three vases from the Ming Dynasty Adorning.
The Adorning talk talks us about the setup here, Hot,
it's beautiful. You.
Speaker 8 (01:01:49):
After I've retired and we moved to Madison, and and
and I jointly did the remodel and the interior decorating
and just about got divorced one hundred thousand times to
that in one year period. I said, that's it. I
got no more say, nor do I want anymore say,
do whatever the hell you want. I don't care. As
long as it's got a TV that I can get,
(01:02:10):
probably do whatever you want, and then I don't have
to worry about it. And that's exactly what happened. So
I don't know, lovely though, I don't even notice it anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
And I saw that, bitch, I was just like, I
gotta ask about these vases. They're great. I think they're beautiful,
beautiful blue. I get that it's got tulips in the
one on the lest that does there's something I don't
know there is that like a Faberge egg coming out
of this like lunch pail on the left? Here is
that a printer right in the middle, printer that I.
Speaker 8 (01:02:46):
Said, I need a printer in this house because you
know what, I'm in Cleveland. I got to getting ready
for game. That's where the printer lives because I don't
have an office.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
It's fantastic. That is beautiful. That is beautiful.
Speaker 9 (01:02:58):
Well, haff listen, buddy, it was great to see you yesterday.
This was a really fun night for the Cleveland Browns.
And it's it's always better made better for us when
you're here in studio with us. So thank you for
your time, buddy. And you got that this is the
big This is a big weekend for him, right, the
big half weekend. It's always a big hot no, but
I mean, does he get the big hunt this weekend?
Speaker 8 (01:03:18):
Right?
Speaker 11 (01:03:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:03:20):
Currently, I just landed in Madison. His father is coming
from California right now and picking them up, and my
kids are currently being driven by my brother in law
in his car, all four of them and his kid
out to the farm. So we're all meeting up. Should
be there in a few hours. And the brandy the
brown liquors flowing, the brown liquors.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
By the way, Bo and I wanted to uh. We
were inspired by a show that had a real nice
heyday for a while. It's called Entourage and in case.
You know, Crown Roil decides for future endeavors with you that.
Oh you would like an entourage, you know. On the
we're just letting you know we're available. We're available, buddy.
Speaker 8 (01:04:03):
Whatever you do, excellent, We I'll be back, I think
December eighteen, nineteen twentieth, cranking out the crom I'm always
looking for a drinking buddy. Boy.
Speaker 9 (01:04:13):
Well there it is, all right, hawk No, enjoy the hunts, buddy,
enjoy the hunt.
Speaker 8 (01:04:18):
I appreciate it, guys, thanks for having me on.
Speaker 9 (01:04:20):

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
You know what they're calling it this week? Bo, don't
you joyus? Jamis by mcgeddon. Oh, Bengals Survivals, Falcons, Jags, Jets, Saints,
all on bye week. So sometimes you've got to dig deep.
Speaker 12 (01:06:10):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, the deep last night? Yeah, I
mean and Miss Elizabeth were watching it from a Yeah.
That was a nice victory, exactly what we needed, just
what the doctor ordered. Yeah, you like to be joyous,
me too, Jamis, Yeah, eating the w look, I'd eat
the pukesters, all right?
Speaker 9 (01:06:31):
That was you were prepared, you weren't necessarily gonna go
down that road, and then just inspired inspired, It just happened,
all right inspired.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
Let's talk about the quarterback position first. As you know,
Josh Allen, know Joe Burrow, lots of guys off. So
who are you turning to? How about bow Knicks? Yeah,
Bo Nix is looking pretty good this week to us
starting to play good football, Sam Donold against Chicago Anthony
richardson his back. He gets Detroit, he's gonna have to
put the ball in the air a lot. Geno Smith
against Arizona. Those are the quarterbacks that you're gonna be
(01:07:00):
looking at this week in terms of trying to pick
up and play and find somebody to fill in at
the running back spot. It's always the usual suspects. Kareem
Hunt got some good news today that Isaiah Pachico will
not play in their game against Carolina. That means Kareem
Hunt could score eight touchdowns.
Speaker 11 (01:07:17):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Of course I'm playing him with the big Daddy's got
him on his team that I'm playing against. Tyrone Tracy
is running well. Only rusher to have one hundred yards
against the Steelers all season. Ramandre Stevenson, obviously you're gonna
keep him in your lineups Cuba. And then Javonte Williams
one week after kind of being bench for estimate, had
a great game last week yep, and he's got a
great matchup this week with Las Vegas. And that I
mentioned Bucky Irving as well, and then Amre Abdullah. If
(01:07:38):
you're totally desperate as a pick up and play, there
are a lot of injuries there with the Raiders in
that game against Denver wide receivers, you're gonna be rolling.
You're looking for games that have good game scripts for you.
Jackson Smith and Jig but just an automatic start at
this point. Love what he's doing. Josh Downs has become
the number one receiver in Indy. Lad McConkie. Same is
true of him, and with the Chargers against Baltimore, Jacoby
Myers is getting a lot of looking. It's always better
(01:08:00):
when Gardner Minshew's there, Quintin Johnston and the Chargers Jamison
Williams is back and starting and playing well. They're also forty.
So those are some wide receivers that I would look in.
I always like my guy Xavier league Get. I think
he has great interviews. He's got an unbelievable way of speaking.
I really enjoy tight ends. Kate Atton, you know you're
starting him. John new Smith's looking like a start. Will
(01:08:21):
Disley is looking like a start. Dallas Goddard and then
from Dallas Luke Schoonmaker. He got very involved once there
was the injury to Jake Ferguson. I almost said Bert
Reynolds on Jeffardy's name right there. I actually said that
to Miss k and she was like, no, his name
is Jake. I'm like, no, it's funny.
Speaker 11 (01:08:41):
It's funny.
Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
Yeah, it's funny. It's at big. It's funny. It's funny.
It's a funny name. Oh gosh, was he good? Was
just a tour to force defenses this week? Denver against Vegas.
I like, Tampa against the Giants and Tommy DeVito, I like,
I think you can do an nice little Miami against
New England feels pretty solid as well. Uh, and then
(01:09:05):
the Commanders versus Dallas, I think is at this point,
why would you not? Chiefs Carolina?
Speaker 9 (01:09:10):
Also all right, there you go, there you go. There,
You're welcome from Doc Dizzy. A little bit of scores
will come on. We're coming out next. We are already
we only did third. We're like the Browns.
Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
I think the Browns have won what seven straight Thursday
night games, nine in a row at home. I think
the brown should petition league. We only play on Thursday.
Speaker 9 (01:09:30):
Only on Thursday.
Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
Where's the Thursday Night team?
Speaker 11 (01:09:33):
This is where you also say so much more to come?
Because there is oh oh yeah, there is so much
more to come. No, really, there truly truly is I
had some other point where I was really interrupted and
my train of thought was.
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
Just ran into a wall.
Speaker 1 (01:09:47):
Cleveland Land, Cleveland Browns Daily Front to you by by
Now Live in Ohio on eight fifty ESP in Cleveland.
Speaker 9 (01:10:27):
Oh baby, here we go, a little segma.
Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
We like to call.
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
Pay attention to the scores. Yeah, and we're back. Want
to know already this week we're back, baby, let's go,
let's go. I think this is and we're gonna do
it on a Friday. Remember all the things that we're
working against us. Last time a lot, it was a
lot going on, and why do we have to do
it early last week?
Speaker 6 (01:10:56):
Uh?
Speaker 11 (01:10:57):
Bye week, bye week Friday?
Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
Ye bye right, that's right, that's right, that's right. That
was two weeks ago to well, it was a rough.
It was rough last I don't even know oran yea
last week? Yeah you guys, Yeah, all right, here we go.
Speaker 11 (01:11:14):
Off we go, kids, We got time patience Sunday.
Speaker 9 (01:11:19):
Where are we right now? Where are we right now?
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
I guarantee he's going to rush us later in the program.
Speaker 11 (01:11:23):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
So, uh, last week we got it.
Speaker 9 (01:11:27):
Even when it's good end, we gotta let them know.
You can blame me for that.
Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
Last week six and eight for you, seven and seven
for me. So you are now ten games over five
eighteen over five hundred.
Speaker 11 (01:11:40):
It's a big deal.
Speaker 2 (01:11:40):
Who gets hurt?
Speaker 9 (01:11:41):
Yeah, all right, we need to win.
Speaker 11 (01:11:42):
We need a week.
Speaker 9 (01:11:43):
We are winning, We need a week we need We
got to get back to our our standards. Our standards
are very not B minus three point students, we're four plus.
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
Yeah, well I've seen another plus. Are trying to compare
our numbers to they're just picking winners, dude, it's not
the same.
Speaker 9 (01:11:58):
You want to pick winners that we one hundred and
twenty seven games over five hundred. If we're just picking winners, maybe, I.
Speaker 11 (01:12:04):
Know the message board seems to think that you're sloughing.
Speaker 2 (01:12:08):
How could we do that?
Speaker 9 (01:12:09):
I don't understand how they think that were what. I
don't even know if that's a word, to be fair,
I'm not certain. Lumping, sloughing, lumping, I.
Speaker 11 (01:12:16):
Don't really know. I kind of made it up and
then combined a few words. I think he went sloughing.
Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
He said sloughing sol, which is like scoffing ff sliding
n G.
Speaker 11 (01:12:26):
Yeah, yep, totally made up a word. That's what happens
when you haven't slept.
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
I feel like sloughing.
Speaker 9 (01:12:32):
I think they can make it a word. I think
I just thought you saw that's a personification.
Speaker 11 (01:12:36):
Nailed it. Dallas Washington. Dallas has lost five in a row,
Washington's lost two in a row. I don't know if
there's something going on with their QB or what. In Washington,
there were some reports that maybe he's a little dinged
up and they're hiding something. He's still no Marshawn Latimore like,
(01:12:58):
what's your trade for him for? Can't get on the field.
Washington hosting Dallas Sunday at one o'clock. Nathaniel kick us off.
This is why I gotta rush it.
Speaker 9 (01:13:11):
Yeah, okay, I'm gonna tell you right now. I see
this with a hook.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
You're seeing this with a hook.
Speaker 9 (01:13:18):
Yeah. So I don't know if that impects your pick
or not.
Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
This just feels like a easy, breezy win.
Speaker 10 (01:13:24):
And then.
Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
We'll take the hook and we'll take the The door
is Ajar Commies thirty cowboys twenty.
Speaker 9 (01:13:36):
I'm right with you on it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
I do.
Speaker 9 (01:13:38):
I will acknowledge that the last two times out for
Dallas at home, they were bombed round thirty four to ten.
The last two times on the road. They lost by
six to the Niners and six to the Eagles. I'm
with you, same, thirty twenty Commies.
Speaker 11 (01:13:57):
Onward, we go to the home of the fighting yellow Stones.
The Indianapolis Colts are one game out of a playoff birth.
They are five and six. The Yellowstones hosting the number
one team in the National Football League, winners of eight
in a row, the Detroit Leons.
Speaker 9 (01:14:17):
Bobash, I see this without the hook in front of me,
and I will gladly take that. I like the Lions
slump town. When they play bad teams, they bury like
that's just who they are and what they do. I
like the Lions on the turf and Jared Goff having
more touchdown passes than in completions. Give me the Leo's
(01:14:39):
huge forty nine Colts won.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
I don't think the Colts are a bad team. I
just think that the Leons are a juger not. I
think the Leons big, huge, same Rammit Leons, one hundred
Colts upside down horseshoe, all.
Speaker 11 (01:14:57):
Right, maybe the biggest score of the week. It is
the biggest score of the week. We go to Carolina
Iron Eagle Charles Davis, Evan Washburn getting this one. By
the way, Iron stopped by the booth last night. I
had to asked him about He said, to say hello
to you all outside of it. I said, you have
to explain to me what the thought is. He's like,
(01:15:20):
this is the best game that CBS has this week.
The Romo were off, like they're doing two games next week.
He's like, we're we're on to Casey. It's Casey and Carolina. Uh,
I know, Isaiah Pacheco. It's the Chiefs visiting the Panthers. Nate,
(01:15:42):
who Chiefs visiting the Panthers?
Speaker 2 (01:15:44):
No, I knew that part. But then I think he
said Nate.
Speaker 9 (01:15:47):
Oh oh, I didn't. I don't know if he I
didn't pick up on a Nate.
Speaker 11 (01:15:51):
I did not.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Gabriel, you'll know when I say, Nate, play the tape, Gabriel,
lay the tape. Gabriel, play the tape.
Speaker 9 (01:15:56):
Did you get to that part in your eastbounding Downery?
Speaker 11 (01:15:58):
Watch?
Speaker 9 (01:16:00):
Yeah, little watch, little boy, Gabriel, let him watch.
Speaker 2 (01:16:07):
The Chiefs are coming off of a loss, but this
is they don't blow anybody out.
Speaker 7 (01:16:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
I don't know. Chiefs thirty, Carolina twenty. It's common score
this week.
Speaker 9 (01:16:18):
Yeah, I'm with you on it. I think it's just
it's a little too much, too rich for my blood.
I like Carolina back and back Door in it a
little bit, so I like them. Maybe lead it, maybe
he could get it, get Savior like it. Little Chuba Hubbard,
Uh yeah, give me Anyland's feeling bad.
Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:16:40):
Bryce Young's played better in the last Risky Yeah, I like.
I like a little cover City here, I like I
like Kansas City winning twenty four to seventeen.
Speaker 11 (01:16:51):
To the NFC Norris Division we Go. Sam Darnold has
thrown has committed multiple turnovers in four games this year,
yet the Vikings are undefeated in those four games. Minnesota
on the road visiting Chicago. The Bears have lost four
in a row. The Bikes have righted the ship. They
are eight and two.
Speaker 9 (01:17:13):
Bo Bishop, I'm just gonna go hunt here, and that's
usually not a smart thing to do when you're picking scores.
I just think the Chicago team's too talented to just
lose every week forever. Like at some point they're gonna
have to win. Minnesota has been kind of skidding by
the last couple of weeks. I think Chicago gets them
this weekend in Chicago. I don't think it's necessarily pretty.
(01:17:35):
At some point you have to unlock DJ Moore, please,
at some point. He's such an a bear you think
it's cooked. It might be, might be for this year.
I'll take I'll take Bears winning outright eighteen fifteen.
Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
See, he's like, you know the in the movie Friday.
Speaker 11 (01:17:51):
Yeah, great, great movie.
Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
Chris Sucker's character is like, when he leaves, I'll be
talking again. DJ More is that he's now right now,
Debo's around, he's not talking, but when he leaves, he's
gonna be talking again. I just think Brian floor Is
his defense is going to be too much for that
offensive line in Caleb Williams, the handle, the blitz is
all of it. I got Minnesota buy a billion?
Speaker 8 (01:18:14):
Do you.
Speaker 9 (01:18:16):
Do your kids have any idea? Who Chris Tucker is?
Speaker 8 (01:18:21):
No?
Speaker 9 (01:18:22):
And that's something.
Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
I mean, what was it Shanghai Nights?
Speaker 9 (01:18:28):
Well he did the one.
Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
He did all the rush Hour stuff with rush Hour
and yeah, rush Hour. Maybe I'm confusing then.
Speaker 8 (01:18:37):
He was.
Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
I don't think he won. I don't think no, he
was not all right rush Hour with Jackie Chan fantastic.
Speaker 11 (01:18:42):
And movie coming out of my mouth.
Speaker 9 (01:18:45):
Yeah, but he had. He threw one hundred and fifty
for like five years. Yeah, and then must have just
made a ton and was cool because I haven't heard
from him in all what he's doing. Yeah, he was
like a mini Eddie Murphy.
Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
Yes, it's fair good and that's by the way, for
the kids. Who else I don't know that Eddie Murphy's
that's high praise. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:19:04):
He shows up at NBA All Star every single year,
does he really? Chris Tucker does.
Speaker 8 (01:19:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:19:09):
They just goes to that game.
Speaker 3 (01:19:10):
Yeah, and then he's like on like he's on like
court side seats sometimes with the bigger games, you'll see it.
Speaker 9 (01:19:16):
So he made enough money on the rush hours all
those years ago that he's good, so he must get some.
Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
He's done. He's done a movie called Air in twenty
twenty three, he's in Is.
Speaker 9 (01:19:27):
That the Theory?
Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
He was? He was good.
Speaker 9 (01:19:31):
Who did he play in that?
Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
Was it he a Nike? Was he a Nike exact?
Speaker 8 (01:19:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:19:35):
I think he was.
Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
Yeah, played Howard White.
Speaker 9 (01:19:38):
Oh yeah, yeah, Yeah, he was good in that. That
was a really good movie.
Speaker 2 (01:19:41):
So he was in Tito Jackson Love one Another's music video.
In twenty twenty one. He was in Silver Lining's Playbook
in twenty twelve. I mean it's really as Heyday was.
He's in the fifth Element, Jackie Brown, Rush Hour, Friday,
Rush Hour two. It's really his peak is from.
Speaker 9 (01:20:00):
He was in one with Charlie Sheen. That was pretty
funny too that he was in around that time.
Speaker 2 (01:20:05):
He played a rapper on the great series Hanging with
Mister Cooper in nineteen ninety two.
Speaker 11 (01:20:09):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
He was smoky obviously on Friday. That was so from
ninety five through Rush Hour three will give him two
thousand and sevens. That was his that was his that
was his orbit. That's the apex.
Speaker 11 (01:20:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:20:23):
That movie, by the way, Air is the first movie
that I can recollect that is rated R that does
not have nudity or violence.
Speaker 2 (01:20:31):
Shanghai Knights is Jackie Channel will Owen Wilson.
Speaker 9 (01:20:35):
That which one is Air is the only movie to
my knowledge that had that is rated R and it
does not have nudity or violence. It's just the sheer
amount bomb. Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:20:45):
So it's interesting that the Chris Tucker net worth it
says only five million, and I'm like, what.
Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
So he's quite happy being comfortable.
Speaker 11 (01:20:53):
Rush Hour franchise alone. God, he got sixty five million,
but then it was revealed in twenty eleven Chris So
the irs eleven and a half million in taxes for
the years two thousand and one, two four and five.
Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
According to Jeremy and Akron, who just tweets us from
the streets, says that he had a religious awakening and
refused to take certain rules, and that's why he has
not done as much.
Speaker 11 (01:21:16):
All right, that had been amazed too. You remember the
rapper made not to pay the government for you to
the AFC East we go, the New England Patriots visiting
the subtle Himes. Miami Dolphins, who've won two n.
Speaker 2 (01:21:32):
Ro Nathan, I don't know Miami by ten.
Speaker 9 (01:21:36):
I'm saying, I don't know since two has been back,
they've they've gone. They've handled their business against the Rams,
they handled their business against the Raiders. I think they
handle their business here. I do like Drake May Yeah, like,
I think he's okay, But I think knew. I think
it's just a little too much. Miami thirty one twenty one.
Speaker 11 (01:21:52):
Tommy DeVito is back, the g Men hosting Tampa Bay.
Mike Evans is back. My Leak neighbors didn't practice again
to day. Why because of a groin Wait till he starts, neighbors,
Are you actually going to play driving me in twenty
twenty four?
Speaker 9 (01:22:11):
Remember how great he was the first month.
Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
Yes, it feels like a very long time from ago.
Speaker 9 (01:22:16):
Baker buy a billion. Baker buy a billion. That's why
he's a billion and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
There's no way we can hit all. I mean, we
did take two of the bigger dogs, but it's it's
so hard to imagine this week just going straight chalk
and I just feel like that's what everything is telling
you to do.
Speaker 11 (01:22:32):
To the AFC South and the final one o'clock game
on Sunday, good news if you have some other things
that you want to get done on Sunday. No, it's
Ben get him done before four o'clock. Houston seven and
four hosting the hapless Titans two and eight on the year.
Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Nathan, what I don't know these games? Think the.
Speaker 11 (01:23:07):
Week?
Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Well, you're missing, to be fair, you're missing the bills,
You're missing a lot of fun, missing the Falcons. You're
missing there are a couple other ones that are fun.
Jets always they have some fantasy well sort of.
Speaker 7 (01:23:18):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
Stroud just has not wowed me. Yeah, but Nico's back
Mixing's playing great. Tennessee is not that good. This feels
like it's you're the only danger to This is a
back door from Lews to Ridley. Other than that, I
feel like it's pretty smooth sailing Texans buy a billion.
Speaker 9 (01:23:37):
Yeah, here's the here's the other thing with that. This
is the the first time that these two teams have
played in Houston since it was revealed that Titans ownership
would not allow Houston to wear light blue and Goodell
had their back and wouldn't allow them. So they're not
wearing their oilers throwbacks in Houston, which would be diabolical.
But they are wearing light blue pants. Tennessee is so.
(01:24:02):
Houston is fed up. Ownership in Houston is fed up.
The players are fed up. Were good, We're done. I
think whatever Houston's best is, you get and I think
they bury him. Go CJ, go huge.
Speaker 11 (01:24:16):
To the four o'clock slates. Denver is zero to four
in Las Vegas since the Raiders moved Denver, who occupies
the final playoff spot in the AFC visiting Las Vegas?
Speaker 9 (01:24:32):
Bo I just think the Raiders suck, So Denver eight
Raiders nothing.
Speaker 11 (01:24:40):
Same.
Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
I mean we couldn't trust them last week. He was
set up for it. I mean he was up for it,
and he blew it. You blew it boy, You blew
it boy. Same. By the way, we have so far
minnesot Chicago is the only discrepancy on our cards.
Speaker 9 (01:24:54):
Sometimes it's good.
Speaker 2 (01:24:55):
I hope it's good to be greater. We're gonna alright,
we a many many more games over five or many
many less. One of the two, one of the two?
Speaker 12 (01:25:05):
What is you?
Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
But does this mean no score being given?
Speaker 11 (01:25:07):
So because it's a well, I didn't know yesterday. I
didn't know if they had taken it off the board
or if it was back on.
Speaker 5 (01:25:16):
Now.
Speaker 11 (01:25:16):
The current source that I'm looking at has the Cardinals
minus one, so I'm assuming it was a pickham between
Arizona and.
Speaker 9 (01:25:26):
I see that too. I see, I see Arizona minus one.
Speaker 11 (01:25:30):
So it is it's a big one in the NFC West.
Arizona six and four, Seattle five and five. Arizona can
get a little breathing room here on the road with
your with their Starbucks.
Speaker 3 (01:25:41):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (01:25:42):
Maybe these two teams play twice in the next three weeks,
just like Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (01:25:49):
Yeah, I like both of these teams. I think both
these teams are frisky. This is this might actually this
in Green Bay. It's a shame that these are in
the same window. Wash them on red zone.
Speaker 9 (01:25:59):
Yeah, and then you can watch both and scribble screen
if if they're on different networks, I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
Know that they are. I think they're both well on YouTube.
Oh yeah, you can do that. You can multi that
bad boy right in there.
Speaker 9 (01:26:10):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:26:10):
And you can also keep an eye on the Denver Broncos.
Speaker 11 (01:26:15):
There you go, h.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
Like a monocle looking at the distance.
Speaker 9 (01:26:22):
Is there anything on the horizon?
Speaker 2 (01:26:23):
Capin there? She blows all right?
Speaker 8 (01:26:27):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
I kind of like Seattle, but I like Arizona. We
have a weather at for cascabe in Seattle. Yeah. Hold on,
I'm like a spelling bee kid. Can I can you
use it in a sentence? Just stalin? What's the what's
(01:26:49):
the etymology? I don't these scuad they're all huge or
not at all.
Speaker 11 (01:26:54):
Yeah, there's not a lot of middle it's yeah, periods
of chance of rain forty seven wins, light and variable
typical Seattle weather for winter garbage.
Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
That doesn't sound like thriving in the desert. That sounds
like Seattle tough. The Seahawk waves on a roll, on
a roll, the tide is rushing in. The Hawks are
gonna win Battle of the Birds.
Speaker 9 (01:27:19):
I also think this this division is destined for everybody
to be six and five after this week. So I'm
with you. I like Seattle as well.
Speaker 11 (01:27:27):
One yep, Well, if you're gonna watch one game on Sunday,
this is the one. It is America's game of the week.
It is the forty nine Ers five and five. Boy,
is it a must win time? Yeah, I think we're
approaching it. Thirty Niners visiting the land of cheese, curds,
(01:27:48):
beer and more beer, and Joe Thomas.
Speaker 9 (01:27:51):
The Great hof in the middle of them, probably on
his way back from his hunt. Yes, I'm sure Beg
had already begged a large stag.
Speaker 11 (01:27:59):
Packers are seven three five.
Speaker 2 (01:28:02):
Here here's a recent article that was sent to me
by my father. Okay, where Kyle Shanahan went wrong and
blowing another lead some crazy numbers. Good read forty nine
or struggling offense is a big red flag for their
Super Bowl hopes. So I said that he goes this
offense stinks. I was like, what do he say? Kyle
wasn't interested in pushing the ball to score three minutes
(01:28:23):
left the office is insanely predictable. Now he has moved
away from what worked so well last season. I said, well,
what has he moved away from?
Speaker 9 (01:28:29):
Yeah, I'm curious, what was it?
Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
I said, I would have to imagine not named brain,
Ayuk or Kittle in this game. Now that help matter? Yeah,
he says, yes, that matters, but he rarely uses play action.
I'm gonna have to go verify that on on pretty
that you can fact check on debo. Can't beat man coverage.
I think that is true. Greater variety of running plays
than he uses. Now runs too often on first and
second down, leaving party without third and short. Last year
(01:28:50):
they moved the pocket to give him a better chance
of avoiding pressure. I said, interesting, it seems like the
bigger issue is the D since the d's given up
three game winning have.
Speaker 11 (01:28:59):
Been abandoned by his father. Had the internet been around
growing out where he could have fact checked, father fact
checked that old generation got wrecked by that.
Speaker 2 (01:29:08):
So I was, we have a bagging for it. And
then he's like, Kyle's confused, He's my dad's down on Kyle.
He's with Gibbet. He wants Kyle on the hot sues.
Speaker 9 (01:29:17):
I'll see Kyle.
Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
Please calm down, Please don't say this.
Speaker 11 (01:29:20):
I took Kyle off you no, no, no, But that
was those years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:29:22):
Anyway, he was for a minute. I'm down on him.
I think my dad said something like they should just
play every game in Europe. So it's three in the morning,
you're to watch it. Well, when last time somebody said
that about a team they won. But right now I'm
gonna do this because I love my father so dearly,
I'm gonna go for the reverse Jinks, Packers by twelve
over the Niners. Packers twelve, Niners zero. By the way,
(01:29:44):
he's calling for Christian McCaffrey to be bench my father
in favor of Jordan Mason. He's got more juice. Christian's
not the same guy anymore. This is my man.
Speaker 11 (01:29:54):
Wait to you meet Pedro.
Speaker 9 (01:29:55):
This is my Serrano Jobu moment with the Niners. This
is it like this your last chance. I pick you
every week. This is your last chance. If you do
If you don't do it, then you know what happens
to Joebu. So it's time for the Niners. Niners win
out right, Sunday Night Football. Eagles ram it, Bob Bishop, Yeah,
(01:30:15):
you said it. Uh, this is a I'm gonna go
gut feeling on this one as well. Rams at home. Uh,
spin it around with the Kohen Cup and give me
the Rams to win at home.
Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
