This edition of Crosstalk began with a number of news stories dealing with President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The Senate vote for the bill came to a tie which was broken by Vice President J.D. Vance, therefore the bill has passed. The bill goes on to the House of Representatives and the president is seeking a July 4th deadline. Beginning with the second quarter hour of the broadcast, Jim opened the phone lines to let listeners get on their "soapbox" and talk about what's on their hearts concerning news events taking place in the U.S. and around the world.
