Speaker 1 (00:11):
This is Girls Talk Boys Talk, presented by Invisilne, trusted

and broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star.
Now your host, Nicole Hutchison.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Good morning, Cowboys Nation. Welcome to Girls Talk Boys Talk,
presented by invisil Line. Here in the SWBC studio, I'm
Nicole had to sit alongside Brianna Aldrich and I e
Sha morson what'ssad?
Speaker 4 (00:48):
Good morning morning, How are y'all doing?
Speaker 5 (00:50):
Good morning? God, sister is bo? That felt a little sarcastic,
and I don't like it. Let's shout out a game.
Speaker 6 (01:00):
Whoa, there we go?
Speaker 5 (01:02):
That was much.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
It was more from the diaphragm on that one.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
God.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Yeah, thank you, Chris, thank you so much. What would
I do without that?
Speaker 5 (01:09):
Really something?
Speaker 4 (01:10):
But I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
I feel like that should be like your wake up
call maybe so back in here. Yeah all right, well
cowboys have a wake up call. Uh well, potentially if
Deron Bland will not play the word is. According to
Nick Harris, that Deron Bland will most likely not participate
in the game against the Giants on Sunday, but uh
(01:32):
Mallie Cooker also a sign on the practice report he
was limited in practice.
Speaker 5 (01:36):
He missed on Monday.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
But you know, talking about Deron Bland, that's a huge
blow for this cornerback room considering they were already facing
some struggles with you know, at first training camp not
having Trayvon Diggs back, and you got some owe revel
h still nurturing his injury or rehabbing from his injury,
Josh Butler as well, but a lot of moving pieces
(01:58):
there and and also playing that nickel spot, being so
versatile playing outside and Nicol ladies just talk about you
know what kind of a blow.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
This is for this Cowboys efense. I saw the.
Speaker 7 (02:11):
Tweet go out from Todd Archery yesterday and I was like,
please let it not be true because it popped up
on the injury report and I didn't even realize he
was dealing with the foot injury.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
And I just feel like this cornerback room can never
have nothing nice. We can never have Trayvon Diggs and
Doron Bland.
Speaker 7 (02:30):
And then last year was you know, jaylu like those
three were rarely ever on the field together. And you
just heard from Trayvon Dis yesterday after practice about how
good he felt he had only had twenty seven snaps
in his first game back from his injury from last season.
Things felt good, and then.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
The practice report dropped.
Speaker 7 (02:49):
So to me, automatically, I'm thinking, Okay, like Nicole said,
this is a group that was already very much banged up.
We have some people working back from injury right now.
Before Deron Bland he was he was the healthy piece.
He was the CB one just a few weeks ago,
before Diggs came back. Now I'm thinking, okay, this is
time where you look at the practice squad and feels
(03:10):
like you would have to elevate somebody there. There's been
some talks if they're going to look outside that also
makes sense in this moment. I if Deron Blan I
know right now it's saying could be a few weeks.
We'll hear from Shttenheimer later on this afternoon, and I
think that will have some more clarity to it. But yeah,
it's a little it's a little bit scary, I will say,
going against the Giants this week.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
Maybe it's a little bit more of an urgency. Like
I said, if Bland gets that unfortunate news.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
Of it'll be a couple of weeks. Like what does
that actually look like?
Speaker 8 (03:43):
Yeah, sounds like it is, uh, I mean initially it
sounded like it was. It's it's more of the ankle
than the foot injury from my understanding, and that he
that he was getting you know, X rays and stuff
done and all that good stuff. So for me, I
just it's disappointing, like like Brie was saying, it's disappointing.
(04:05):
You know, the secondary can never Trayvon Diggs bust his
butt to get ready to play. And like Brie said,
hearing him talk about the scheme yesterday, hearing him talk
about taking probably taking an uptick and just continue to
work to get integrated into the defense, it sounds like
he's gonna be ready to.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Go this week too.
Speaker 8 (04:24):
So you are ready to see them collectively come together
and play together. And that Nickel spot. We've talked about
it at nausea and it's just so important. And as
you get into into some of these tougher matchups, when
these slot matchups, you got Green Bay coming up, you
got you know, it's just it's unfortunate, I will say,
I think, uh, for stuff like this, this is why
(04:44):
they went and got somebody, went and got somebody like
a Ready.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Stewart who they describe shot.
Speaker 8 (04:49):
He described as a as a plug and play player
to them at that nickel spot. Will he get the
call or is that someone or are they working with
Zion Childress. I would expect for them to try to
do this house, especially if it's we don't we don't
know yet, but especially if it's not gonna be long term.
I would expect for them to do it in house.
Just like I said, just unfortunate, unfortunate for Bland, and uh.
(05:12):
I do feel like the boot situation is definitely precaution
and I'm trying to be safe for him on his
foot walking on that foot.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
I do want to make sure we get to the
options they have right now, which is you know, like
I instrument mentioned Ready Stewart, Zion Childress and just maybe
they get a little bit creative.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
But how much does Deron Bland's absence change what Dallas
can do now schematically against the Giants?
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Well, I mean I think whoever they plug in there,
I mean talking about those guys any any offensive coordinator
is gonna see, you know, the new guy, and they're
gonna they're gonna go at him. That's just that's what
you would do. Naturally.
Speaker 7 (05:51):
I was surprised last game that, honestly, Kayer didn't have
more that didn't come at him more after, especially because
he gave up the biggest play in the air last week.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
So yeah, I don't I don't know. I like the
I liked. I still like. I'm big on Zion.
Speaker 7 (06:09):
I mean, before all, he was in our mind gonna
make this, you know, fifty three not that long ago,
and things changed. I like what he brings in again,
not to just say, I mean the drop off we
talked about going from the Eagles to the Giants. We
just talked about that yesterday. Why not try it, Like,
why not see what what you got there? At this point,
(06:30):
especially if we sit in that press conference today and
we hear that this injury is going to linger.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
Or there's no real time table.
Speaker 7 (06:36):
That's my that's my worst fears to hear there's no
real timetable later.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
On this afternoon. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (06:42):
Yeah, And for me, I'm just like, with this matchup
coming up, with the way that the Giants offensive line
is struggling.
Speaker 5 (06:51):
They last week.
Speaker 8 (06:52):
They did a lot of dump offs, they did a
lot of stuff close to the line of scrimmage they did,
And so for me, I do think when you talk
about Wandell Robinson and those guys, are they going to
be trying to manipulate them in the slot and take
advantage of that.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
That's something we could see.
Speaker 8 (07:07):
So I with what the Giants got going on with
their offensive line and stuff, I ain't as scared at all.
But I do think a smart offensive coordinator is going
to look at that, like Brie said, and try to
take advantage of it. And I think Wandale Robinson is
a guy that can take advantage of your slot position
if you need him to. And then Darius Slayton is
not necessarily anybody the snuff at either as a rat runner.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
So yeah, it starts up front.
Speaker 7 (07:31):
So I feel like, if you have the pastorss that
I believe they're gonna have, really shouldn't be an issue
for this week. Yeah, because it Russell Wilson is only
really a threat if you give him time, and that
man has no time.
Speaker 8 (07:44):
I think the tackling is going to be the biggest
part of it. Is you know, obviously coverage is important
as a corner Doha, but I do think in this
particular game, you're looking for more tackling in the flats
and stuff like that with the way that the Giant
are probably going to have to do things and run
support and run support if they decide.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
To lean on their run game. So he who would
you go with in this situation?
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Who would you go with Zion or would you go
with Ready Stewart Because Ready's already spent some time under
eber Flush Zion. Of course, they've had his had eyes
on him all throughout camp. You know, he made a
name for himself throughout the preseason. Who would you go
with the rook or someone?
Speaker 4 (08:28):
I feel like they're going to go with the guy
they're most comfortable with. And I think they brought Stewart
in for a reason because there's familiarity.
Speaker 7 (08:36):
Because that was, to be fair, we thought again it
was going to be Zion and this big thing with
Keemon Hall, and then they kind of pulled the plug
and brought into guys that don't really have a lot
of proven in the league, right like legit like not
to be disrespectful, but we were trying to Google, like
who these two players were. They just don't have a
lot of in the league, but they had the familiarity.
(08:57):
And I think Schottenheimer and Matti Eberflus have this thing
where if they have a guy they like.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
At other stops, they're gonna they're gonna give them the
benefit of the doubt.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
So I think that's the way they're gonna go. I
think I would. Yeah, I mean it's a laugh for me.
Speaker 8 (09:11):
Well, I'm struggling because I'm I'm am very curious about
Zion Childress and continue to be curious about him, especially
since I mean, he is a younger player that Nickel
spot just requires.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
It does require a lot, And this.
Speaker 8 (09:25):
Game doesn't feel like a big game in a sense,
like I know that we're looking at the Giants, saw
them last week. We like they ain't nothing to be
scared of at this point. But at the same time,
this is a divisional game. This is a game that you,
to me, it is important for you to win. You
don't want to go zero to two in the division
to start the season. And furthermore, you have some tough
(09:47):
matchups coming up in the coming weeks. You need to
win the games You're supposed to win. And so with
that being said and that being important, I think that
Dallas is gonna opt to go with the veteran go
about their business. And if they do go with a nugget,
then shut me up. I would be very I would
be surprised and it would let us know some things.
To me, yeah, this to reveal something as well as absolutely,
(10:11):
so that's something to keep an eye out on.
Speaker 7 (10:12):
But I like how you brought up the game of
the divisional opponent because somebody asked in the press or
is this a must win game? And Shoanheimer, you know,
kind of said, that's not how they're looking at the
That's not they approach it. They approaches another opportunity to
go after a championship. That's how he addresses every week.
But it it does feel like a must win game because,
(10:36):
like you said, you do not want to be this
team O until you're supposed to win the games you're
supposed to win, and you look at the schedule, it's
only going to get harder from here. And if you're
looking at the Giant side, I know like we're downplaying
it as well. But you don't want to be the
Cowboys team that breaks Dak's thirteen win streak against this team.
(10:56):
Can you imagine like things are going to feel like
for the Cowboys are apart, but the Giants are in
a tough spot too. They have people fighting for their
life on that.
Speaker 8 (11:03):
Tie and coaches and coaches they are there. Yeah, there's
some this is do or die time for that coaching
stuff over there as well, And so they're gonna I
expect for them to come out and really try to
win this game. Now it sounds like they are gonna
go with Russell Wilson, Like we're not. It's not definite now,
but that seems like it was leaning towards and again
(11:25):
I think that leans back to kind of what Brie
was saying about. They don't want to go into this
game with a whole bunch of uncertainty. They want to
go into this game comfortable so they can try to
turn the tables and try to, you know, get a
win at this point of the season, just starting.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
And they're going with Russell Wilson.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
But they have said that last week they had some
packages for Dart and they're doing the same this week.
So that tells you a lot too, because how many
other teams have packages for their backup Q be like,
they are not messing around.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
They want to win this ball game, so don't take
it lightly.
Speaker 7 (11:56):
And that's the sentiment that you got in the locker
room for the first wave of guys we heard. We'll
hear from DAK and CD later today and I'm sure
they'll have the same because I think the other question
that kind of made me laugh.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
Was why is DAK so success successful against the Giants?
And it's just kind of quiet.
Speaker 7 (12:09):
But also you can't have that mentality going into this
game because you do not. This is not the time
to get comfortable.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Absolutely.
Speaker 6 (12:17):
Plus, don't forget the Cowboys.
Speaker 7 (12:20):
I know that home field advantage is real. Shotnheimer said
that again yesterday. Okay, it was it real last season?
Speaker 5 (12:25):
How many ones they had at home, Barnacles. It was
a very long season at Atten City.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
All right, Yeah, we're taking calls this morning at one
eight eight eight eight.
Speaker 7 (12:34):
Five five two two nine seven. Call us here at
one eight eight eight eight five five two to nine.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
Feel like, no, no, no, I just okay, because I'm like,
I'm kind of.
Speaker 8 (12:47):
Not I started thinking about when you started doing that
my jump, I was.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
Thinking it, what's that? What's that?
Speaker 4 (12:52):
Movie with when you start spending out the lottery numbers?
Speaker 5 (12:55):
Did I love them?
Speaker 9 (13:02):
Wow?
Speaker 5 (13:02):
That's great? All right?
Speaker 6 (13:03):
All about the Benjamin cool fun stat.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Shout out to Nick Harris, who put out the stat
yesterday of the fifty three games that the Cowboys have
played since twenty twenty two, they have had all three
starting cornerbacks healthy in just ten of those games, six
and twenty twenty two, two in twenty twenty three, one
in twenty twenty four, and of course one in twenty
(13:27):
twenty five. But you know, you ladies made a great point,
right Giants. I don't want to blow it off and say, hey,
like you know, that game doesn't matter because you.
Speaker 5 (13:36):
Can't get comfortable like I used to mention.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
But when you look up next right, they have the Bears,
they have the Packers, and then that long stretch towards
the end of the season. But you don't know how
long dron blab.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
Will be out.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
So looking ahead right, not just against the Giants. How
much pressure does that put on this pass rush now
moving forward?
Speaker 4 (13:57):
Probably a little bit more than they had last week?
Speaker 8 (13:59):
But if.
Speaker 10 (14:02):
He said again, how much pressure? How much more pressure
does that put on this pass rush now? To do
what in terms of now.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
You got to succeed up front because the back end
is a little bit more vulnerable.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
You don't have trade.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
I was like, did I ask the question?
Speaker 5 (14:25):
No, stupid, it was me. I missed the first part.
I needed a little bit more. I'm sorry, Trayvon Diggs.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
You know, of course, a lot of injuries still there
in the corner.
Speaker 6 (14:37):
He's back.
Speaker 8 (14:39):
No no, no no no. But I wanted to answer no, no,
I'll answer to and it puts pressure the I think
the defensive line should feel pressure from last week because
they were close in spaces. I think they should feel
there should be urgency from them period.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
I mean, you didn't.
Speaker 8 (15:00):
Really get hurt anywhere else besides the deep pass down
the field other than Jalen hurts legs last week, and
so to me, I think that they should feel like
they need to come into this game and rush, contain
and be more disciplined to start that game anyway. And
as far as rushing the pastor that babee if I'm
the past rushing folks too. They brought another human in
(15:22):
here yesterday to work out that mean that they see
something they don't like or they trying to add too
because they don't know, so you don't notice a little
bit kind of anyway.
Speaker 5 (15:32):
So yeah, you need to they should feel pressure.
Speaker 8 (15:35):
Anyway to me, but I do base level again, your
secondary is kind of ye you do need to rush
the passer better, yes, if that's what you're asking, But
they need to figure themselves out anyway to meet.
Speaker 7 (15:47):
Yeah, you trade your best pass rusher and you say
you're confident in this room. This is one of the
deepest rooms that you have on the roster. And then,
like I used to say, yesterday, you got a thirty
two year old.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
Defensive end here. I mean, it's kind of telling she's childish.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
I can't even go like that, like, and it's so funny.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
What's funny about football?
Speaker 10 (16:16):
Y'all?
Speaker 5 (16:17):
After you hit it's all in their years. Oh yeah,
I'm Jack Sage. So they be coming for deck.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
I'd be like, I'm gonna be thirty two next month.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
The way you say, listen yours, y'all, y'all's own lane
for that.
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Thirty two year old chest.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
Relax, I forgot what I was saying.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
Bad, It's fine, No better, remember I can't past rush.
Speaker 7 (16:39):
Oh more, you had a thirty two year old humans
Oh Yeah, that's that's all I was saying. I mean,
it's pretty evident, it's every I feel like sometimes when
you're sitting in these press conference you can't take everything literal.
Speaker 5 (16:52):
I mean, it's pretty clear what the issue is.
Speaker 7 (16:54):
It was evident against the Eagles, but shout out to
them again, like they made the adjustments and that second
half we heard from Kenney Clark and we heard from
Osa that dynamic spark that they got.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
I think it's only going to get stronger. Kenny Clark only.
Speaker 7 (17:10):
Had a couple of days before he had his playbook
and he made an impact. So I can only see
that getting stronger. But again that's we're talking about the
interior being strong. What are we doing with consistent from
the edges.
Speaker 8 (17:24):
I think they'll grow. I think I'm I'm not I'm
not nervous about them continuing to grow and get better.
But I do think this is a primed opportunity with
this Giants offensive line for them to take advantage and
and you know, gain some confidence, find some things they like.
Speaker 5 (17:40):
I think the refluse could.
Speaker 8 (17:41):
Definitely trip up this this Giant's offensive line with some
stunts and some things like that. So for me, this
is a good opportunity for them to bounce back put
their best foot forward. And I do believe that this
edge group is going to continue.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
To and take advantage. Like you said, this is the
game to do it. That he came out of that
game against the Eat one sack. You kept talking about
all season long. What was the goal of this team
to have at least three takeaways a game? This is
this is the time to stack it up and I
just don't want to see a close game.
Speaker 5 (18:12):
Basically, this is a hard part about this game. So
I agree that they did well, not a hard part.
Speaker 8 (18:18):
The turnover battle is important, like you were saying, Bree,
that's important.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
There's a lot of things that are important in this game,
especially this run game. Trying to build off of what
they did in week one. We're gonna break that down
up next year.

Guys that part I don't know, well, you think they
were probably look at you. I think they ready. They
had to be sick watching that film.
Speaker 8 (21:25):
They have to be sick watching that game, feeling like
they should have won that game last week.
Speaker 5 (21:29):
I agreed. Sick about takeaways too. You sure what you
can No.
Speaker 8 (21:33):
I thought Bri made a really good point about the
turnover differential and that this is a you know, one
of the things that's very common with eba Flu's defense
is the fact that they take the ball away. Dallas
did not get any turnovers in that game last week.
In fairness, Philly did keep do they did play keep
keep away quote unquote.
Speaker 5 (21:52):
But I do think that's going to be important element
of this game.
Speaker 8 (21:55):
You lost that battle last week, and you lost that
game for Dallas. In this game, this Giants offense is struggling.
So anytime you can take the take opportunity from them
and then turn that into points, it's gonna be huge.
I don't think that they can keep up with you.
Scoring don't think it, and I don't think they can
keep up. So if you get an opportunity to get takeaways,
(22:17):
get points off of them, you know, score off of them.
Put these put these humans away quickly. Like I believe
Dallas can jump on this team early off in this game.
If they come out like they did in Philly and
they're able to get some stops on the back end,
if it's like fourteen to nothing, then I think you
give yourself, You put yourself in a good position because
(22:37):
this Giants, this Giants offenses is struggling and they can't
take a lot of backbreaking stuff.
Speaker 5 (22:43):
Like I really believe that one.
Speaker 8 (22:45):
Takeaway, two takeaways is going to really hurt them offensively
and they're won't be able to bounce back from it.
Speaker 7 (22:51):
What you got, I was just gonna add and say
that Dallas only loses this game if they make mistakes.
It's not going to be because the Giants come in
and overpower them. It's going to because they make the mistake.
It's going to be the penalties, like you said, the turnovers,
and I think at this point, even though the Cowboys
(23:12):
have the stronger roster on in my opinion, there's there's
some talent on the Giants.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Oh yeah, there's no mistake there, and we'll get to
that here shortly.
Speaker 7 (23:20):
But I think for both teams, neither one of them
have the type of roster at least at this point
in the season. And that could just be some continuity
to talking about Dallas, but neither one of these teams
are that type of team. And there's very few right
now in my opinion, right now, as going into week
one or into Week two, that can make those little
(23:42):
mistakes and bounce back. And I think that's the point
that Ayesha is making. This is not the team who
can turn over the ball a couple of times and
then bounce back, and the Giants can't afford to do
that either. And I think both these teams realize that
coming in the well.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
Is to hit three takeaways. For the Cowboys a game
none so far in week one.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Hopefully they start off in Week two and maybe possibly
get two, maybe three, I mean two, it's always a
good one one even.
Speaker 14 (24:08):
As well, But uh, I know more than the other
team to start, but no, I know, I wanted to
make sure we touched on that because we didn't get
a chance to mention it yesterday.
Speaker 5 (24:18):
But in terms of.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
This Cowboys run game, where do you feel like I
got a chance to talk to Shotty yesterday or ask
him in the press conference, you know, where do you
feel like you guys can build upon from week one?
After having some success there in the run game with
Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, even despite the fumble in the
red zone, but he said, you know, I wish we
(24:40):
would have gotten a.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
Little bit more explosive plays.
Speaker 6 (24:43):
They were close to a few.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
The Miles Sanders forty plus run was obviously the big one,
but he said, that's how you know you run the
ball effectively and win a lot of games. His explosive plays,
whether it's in the passing game or the run game.
He kind of looked back at the.
Speaker 5 (24:59):
Come referred to there.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
That's the word referred to the Arizona game when Clayton
Adams was coaching, of course, and just mentioned that that's
how we want to run the ball. So where do
you feel like, you know the Cowboys can kind of
build upon schematically or not schematically, from week one to
week two?
Speaker 8 (25:19):
I think you go out there with a similar plans
which you had, you know against Philly.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Attack their edges. Now, don't get it twisted.
Speaker 8 (25:26):
This defensive line for the Giants has plenty of talent,
Keyvon Thibodeau. They've added Abdul Carter, who is you know,
they move him inside, they move him outside, Dexter Lawrence,
Brian Burns.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
But Burns and Thibodeau are two edges as well.
Speaker 8 (25:47):
That they rushed the passer, sure, but the run run
at these guys, like punish them in the run game. Listen,
Washington put up two hundred me see where are my
freaking static? Yeah, they put up two hundred and twenty
two yards rushing the average almost seven yards a carry
against this defense.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
So yes, this defense does.
Speaker 8 (26:10):
They do have plenty of talent and things like that,
but they can be undisciplined. They cannot rush contained as well.
And if you run at these guys, you can make
them pay. So I would have a similar like I
said before, I would have a similar attitude as I
did with Philly and attacking their edges. Also, Michael McFadden,
their linebacker, who's kind of the glue. Got to listen
(26:31):
to some interviews from the head coaches over there and
that hurts them. They feel like he really holds their
defense together at that second level.
Speaker 5 (26:40):
We'll see what happens with him. I'm not sure he's
gonna but when.
Speaker 8 (26:44):
You lose the lose a centerpiece of your defense, that
makes it. That makes the difference as well. So I'm
looking at them run the ball to seven yards carry
that's crazy wording.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
And they're doing that with what they do is they
load the box.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
They have like eight guys seven sometimes six, sometimes seven,
sometimes eight guys in the box, so you're able to
run the run the ball and average seven yards.
Speaker 8 (27:08):
Well they yeah, they're doing it because they trying to
sell out to stop the run and they're trying to
You gotta pick and choose. They got a young secondary
back there. They're opting to do more zone. Shane Bowen
is their their new DC over there, and they're opting
to do in more zone. Dallas is gonna have to
find the windows again, just like with Philly in the
passing game, but also too in the running game when
(27:28):
they crash.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
Now their defensive line.
Speaker 8 (27:30):
Has a tendency to get up field, do too much,
take some bad angles, make them pay every single time.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
Make them pay with guys like turping on the out side.
Speaker 8 (27:38):
Make them pay with Javonte Williams in the passing game,
which we haven't seen yet, is that Javonte Williams also
has the ability to take the rock out the backfield,
swing passes and stuff like that. Make these guys pay
if they're crashing down play behind them, you know.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
And so I'm not a friend. I'm not afraid.
Speaker 8 (27:57):
I'm not afraid of their uh, their defensive line and
for the fact that I know they can rush the
past it, but they can be undisciplined at times.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
And run support, yeah, I think I used to have
made it, hit it right on.
Speaker 7 (28:07):
I mean, everything that I've seen from the Giants side
of their writers is you know, McFadden leaving the game
mid game was a clear hurt for the run support.
Like automatically, I want to see the Cowboys establish the
run early because then I feel like at that point,
we know Ceedee Lamb is itching to make up for
(28:31):
last week.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
We know George Pickens wants his touches.
Speaker 7 (28:35):
Cavante Turpin is someone who I think I want to
see get more involved because then you're throwing them off
and what is he going to do, like, is he
going to run the ball?
Speaker 5 (28:45):
Is he going to be involved in the past game.
Speaker 7 (28:48):
I think just establishing the run early, knowing what this
pass game can do and what they want to do,
because there was a lot of left on the field,
if you will, last week. I think it's it's going
to be a very high scoring game for the Cowboys
if they can just establish the run early and then
just get to having fun throwing.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
The ball down field. Let Dak does doing what he
what he does.
Speaker 7 (29:11):
O line is playing. What's so much continuity. They're excited,
you know, take advantage of this.
Speaker 5 (29:17):
Just let it flow.
Speaker 7 (29:18):
Like I said, just let them just let him have fun,
let them play football. And I think the Giants are
going to have a tough day defensively.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
I know last week it was you know, of course,
Javonte Williams carrying the load most of the load. You know,
you answer Miles Sanders on curtain certain situations. But is
this a game where you're like, all right, Javonte Williams,
of course carry the load, but let's let's just try
elevate Jaden Blue.
Speaker 5 (29:43):
I don't know if the coaches feel like it. Yeah,
I mean to just try things.
Speaker 7 (29:49):
It's like if you say I want Birsty runs and
you got a birsty guy, just do I mean, yeah, that's.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
The failing supposed to play.
Speaker 15 (29:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (29:56):
I just think it has to be like it has
to be like assignment based or like maybe maybe.
Speaker 5 (30:03):
They're trying to make sure he understands.
Speaker 8 (30:05):
Like past protection and stuff like that, like it's his
his calls, his checks and stuff. So I would, I would,
But we don't know what's going on over there. I
don't know why they feel like this because to your point,
rationally don't make sense.
Speaker 5 (30:20):
We want to explos explosive players. On the back end,
we're not going to play the explosive he state, what's
she doing? Get away from me? He's crazy? He's crazy.
Speaker 8 (30:38):
But no, no, no, I I maybe maybe, and if
not this week, then I guess it is what it is.
But I guess it just is what it is. But
I will say I do think we should see more Lifty,
more Turp, and more God and hopefully they get hopefully
they get the UH snaps to be able to do that,
(30:59):
Like hopefully they they're forcing the defenses, forcing three and
outs and the offense is having more time to they
gotta win time and possession. They lost it last week
and they lost that game, So I do think that
that's gonna be important as well. It's to continue the
run game to be successful early and for this for
this to be something to stick to. And I will
say if I'm coach Sean Himer, and I know we
want to see the passing game, and I know the
(31:20):
guys gonna feel a way if they don't. But if
they can run the rock, and they can just run
the rock, run the rock, yeah, I mean, it ain't
no reason to start.
Speaker 5 (31:29):
Talking about just because, you know, make somebody feel good.
Speaker 8 (31:31):
Yeah, if they're able to, if you averaging seven yards
of pop just like Washington was for what for what?
Speaker 5 (31:40):
I'm not doing all that? Keep that stuff in the bank,
you know what I'm saying, and like and just keep
it simple if you have to.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
So, yeah, interior, that interior defensive line is a problem.
Speaker 5 (31:52):
Can't forget that you did mention it.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
It'll obviously you got Cooper b Be, Tyler Smith and
Tyler Booker of course maning the offensive line.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Interior. What kind of challenge do you feel like they have?
Speaker 3 (32:07):
Of course it's not a Philly Eagles challenge, but you
cannot deny Roy Robertson as well, and Washington had to
put two bodies on him last week. And yeah, I
mean as far as Desha Lawrence, we know what type
of player he is. So what kind of challenge do
you feel like those guys have?
Speaker 8 (32:23):
Sure?
Speaker 5 (32:24):
Wait wait wait wait, just barnacles. My brain is not
processing her questions today. It's like I'm getting in.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
I'm not go Breee, leave me alone.
Speaker 5 (32:37):
Oh my gosh. I will say.
Speaker 7 (32:40):
Burns obviously got the two sacks against j Daniels last week,
so that is someone who he can he can get
after the quarterback. Right, Dak is not this mobile quarterback
like Jade and Daniels, but he can get out of
the pocket, he can move around, he can scramble, he
can throw on the run. Right, and then Dexter Lawrence,
(33:02):
I thought, I don't know about you, how you should
But he had a quiet, pretty quiet game last week,
So I don't know what that the issue was.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
It is week one.
Speaker 7 (33:09):
These guys haven't played, you know, together in a while
or what have you. But not that I'm saying it's
gonna continue, but he was he was quite quiet last week.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
I mean shout out to former Cowboy.
Speaker 8 (33:24):
He is putting together some of his best football, had
his best year of football last week last year, and
he's continuing that this season, it seems like.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
So that's half of it.
Speaker 8 (33:32):
I do think Tyler Booker is going to if he
is gonna be dealing with Dexter Lawrence and some of
those guys in the interior. Really, what stresses me the
most about the interior of the Cowboys defensive line is Giants.
Speaker 5 (33:47):
The Giants. The Giants defensive line rather.
Speaker 8 (33:49):
Is Abdull Carter and their usage of him, which is
very similar to kind of some of the stuff that
the Cowboys used to do with Michael Parsons. Is line
him up over the center, line them up over in
the C gap, in the B gap, they move him
across the line. They're not doing it as much right now,
not yet, but they are choosing their spots in which
they do that.
Speaker 5 (34:09):
Some of those quicker guys off the line.
Speaker 8 (34:11):
Give bb and Booker a little bit of issues also too,
if the Giants do elect to do some stunts or
or things like that I do. Last week, there was
some communication issues between Booker and Bbie and some of
those exchanges so I do it should be better at home.
But but that is something that kind of worries me.
(34:32):
With Brian Burns, he plays with a lot of power.
How does Terrance still deal with him? Yeah, that's That's
a very key matchup of the game is how does
Terrence steal? Terrence Steel is one of those players where
he can be really sound for like ten plays and
then he might.
Speaker 5 (34:45):
Have a two or three where you like, you're all right, brother,
And so.
Speaker 8 (34:49):
I'm looking at I'm looking at that matchup as well, like,
don't like you said, don't get it twisted. These are
guys that can you know, that can get after the quarterback.
Don't give him a chance to Yeah.
Speaker 7 (35:00):
Yeah, And I wanted to mention eleven total pressures came
from Giants last week to the Commanders. Four came from
rookie outside linebacker Abdell Carter, like you mentioned, but they
also used Abdull Carter as the spy in a lot
of these situations.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
So my question is do they do that.
Speaker 7 (35:17):
Do they see like they need to do that against
Dak Prescott because to me, those are two different way
different types of quarterbacks.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
That you're doing.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
So how do they how are they is he getting
more involved now that he's not having to.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
Play the spy?
Speaker 8 (35:28):
Probably he probably would be more of a full time,
you know, person on the edge instead of just roaming.
Speaker 5 (35:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (35:35):
No, absolutely, And that's smart of them to do that
against the Jade Daniels who hurts you with your leg
their legs. Now, if they do elect to do that,
then I am If if they don't elect to do that,
then I want Dak Prescott.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
With all that training and running and skipping and hopping
you didn't offseason, make them pay skipping. Make them pay.
Speaker 8 (35:51):
Then if they think you can't run the ball, they
think that you're not going to take off in certain instances,
make them pay. And that so that's something to definitely
keep an eye on on as well. It's like, yeah,
Dak is not a quarterback that warrants a spy anymore
at this point.
Speaker 5 (36:07):
But if that's how people gonna play you, then run
for third downs.
Speaker 3 (36:12):

Speaker 4 (39:13):
He didn't even need to do it.
Speaker 5 (39:14):
Well, you got it anyway, I did well.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Before we get to the game, I do want to
pose this question. It's from one of our fans. Uh
miss mister okay, uh Tony Frank fout out to you
for this question.
Speaker 5 (39:27):
I was trying to do the ass sign, but it's fine.
Got your name.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
If Blue is struggling with the playbook and maybe some
past protection assignments, maybe it's time to use one of
the call ups on Malik Davis. He gives it his
all and just needs a chance. What do you ladies
think about? That was really a question.
Speaker 5 (39:46):
It is more so a statement.
Speaker 4 (39:48):
I like Malik Davis and we saw what he can
do in the preseason, but let's be realistic. They drafted
Jaden Blue in the fifth round. He's going to get
the opportunities.
Speaker 7 (39:58):
I think it's gonna take a lot of mishaps for
this running back group as a whole. I think Miles
Sanders is gonna get a lot more chance. Obviously, they
brought this guy in for a reason. They brought it better.
And then Davante Williams isn't going anywhere. Jaden blew again,
He's gonna get those opportunities. And unless there's an injury,
and that's really how the game goes. If if these
guys are healthy, they're going to keep getting the opportunities.
Speaker 4 (40:20):
That's just the way of the game when you're talking
about the draft and signing guys versus the practice squad.
Speaker 6 (40:25):
Still like them a lot.
Speaker 5 (40:26):
Yeah, reliable, he's great. He showed us that. So they
ain't gonna do that.
Speaker 8 (40:32):
But yeah they will be crazy word it wild love
bad on that too because they drafted.
Speaker 5 (40:41):
Yeah, people that'll be evaluating. They will do that.
Speaker 15 (40:46):
But we do like Milik Davis, know what I'm saying,
nolak we big. Malik Davis's here but ready for the game.
Would you even ask, No, I'm ready for the game.
I don't know I'm ready for the game.
Speaker 5 (41:04):
Okay, okays, a little confused.
Speaker 9 (41:06):
All right.
Speaker 7 (41:07):
Oh, it's called bullseye or bush bulls are busy.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
So basically, you know I've animated trying to all right,
So basically I'm gonna say, like a bold statement, I
don't agree with this or don't agree.
Speaker 5 (41:22):
I'm just throwing all right, I'm just asking a question.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
Already, y'all decide it is bullseye or to say it
like that, she got it.
Speaker 5 (41:31):
I don't know if I'm Mary yet. I don't know
she's had coffee.
Speaker 6 (41:35):
At different all Right, man, you already.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Russell Wilson will be sacked at least five times by
Dallas Bulls are bust.
Speaker 5 (41:44):
It's a bold statement there, It's very bold, very very bold. Sacked.
That meantimes, Oh.
Speaker 7 (41:52):
I'm gonna go bus I think they'll get more than
I feel like four. It will be the high number
out of this game. Mind you bland one last week, I'm.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
Gonna go bust. I'm gonna go bust. I do think
it's close.
Speaker 8 (42:05):
One thing I will say is that he likes to
sneak in between the A gaps and B gaps and
just kind of when the pockets collapsing, because baby, you
do with collapsing, they like to just slip.
Speaker 5 (42:14):
They like to like slip through there.
Speaker 8 (42:16):
So I want Dallas to be aware of that and
come up and tackle, and they might be able to
get him in the tackle box and get some technical
ones or even just.
Speaker 5 (42:24):
Trip him up and stuff like that.
Speaker 8 (42:25):
But yeah, looking sound, I'm looking for the I'd like
to be the punchy punchies that they was doing in
training camp. I want to see the punchies because he
fumbled last week.
Speaker 5 (42:37):
He fumbled last week, he went to the outside, he
got popping. Yeah, cover, but yeah, I look real ugly.
I want to see the punches. Was a resident too?
Speaker 11 (42:43):
Huh?
Speaker 4 (42:43):
Yes, yeah, go ahead, that'll be a couple of times.
Speaker 5 (42:48):
Are trying to see that. Go ahead already for number two? Yeah,
bulls eye or bust, all right, already get her.
Speaker 3 (42:58):
The Cowboys secondary will hold Russell Wilson to under two
hundred passing yards bullseye.
Speaker 4 (43:06):
Yeah, they struggling, will Mo league neighbors about to crash
out again?
Speaker 8 (43:10):
I'm gonna say, bullye bulls Yeah, I mean, what do
you get last week?
Speaker 10 (43:18):
I go back?
Speaker 3 (43:19):
That's right here, Russell Wilson was, oh, one hundred and
sixty eight yards passing.
Speaker 4 (43:27):
Yeah, we're good.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
Next question you so much? All right?
Speaker 6 (43:33):
You all ready for this?
Speaker 13 (43:35):
For bullseye or bust?
Speaker 5 (43:38):
All right? I think she just wants to say that
that's it's so fun. She likes saving it.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
She likes the Cowboys defense will outscore the Giants offense
on Sunday? So will the Cowboys have points defensively? And
will that outscore the Giants offense?
Speaker 5 (43:57):
How disrespectful.
Speaker 4 (43:58):
I'm gonna go a bus because that's I'm like, I
had to think about it.
Speaker 6 (44:01):
What did you just say?
Speaker 5 (44:02):
You think that you think the DF is going? We
ain't understand.
Speaker 6 (44:06):
I didn't. It's fair.
Speaker 4 (44:08):
They scored touchdown last week, but still I think.
Speaker 5 (44:12):
More points right there?
Speaker 4 (44:13):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (44:14):
If I'm just going let's just start with the takeaway.
I feel like Diggs is gonna get an intercession this week?
Speaker 15 (44:19):
You think so?
Speaker 4 (44:20):
My next one, Barnacle, I gotta do a shut up.
Speaker 5 (44:24):
I'm sorry you got bull to say it.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
I gotta be like, uh, she wanted you to ask
bulls eyes.
Speaker 5 (44:36):
I was it was good.
Speaker 8 (44:38):
That was good. I dried my bast But I think
I knew I think I think that they tray Bon
gets to a pick this week.
Speaker 5 (44:45):
I think I feel like I feel like uh Russell
can be well number one.
Speaker 8 (44:50):
Dick talked about his little in his interview, how they're
playing more zone than he's.
Speaker 5 (44:54):
Played, Like, first of all, they're playing mozone and his
whole career they be doing me when he was mad
Man man. But yeah, they're playing more zone.
Speaker 8 (45:03):
And I do think with the windows and stuff like that,
he is is he gets more confident, and he seemed
really confident yesterday.
Speaker 6 (45:09):
He felt lighter.
Speaker 5 (45:10):
I don't know about y'all.
Speaker 8 (45:10):
That was like I want to I'm gonna shut up,
but I want to say that I like the maturity
that he's shown. Yeah, as of late in this process,
and he seems very confident. I feel like maybe he
takes a few risks this week with Russell Wilson being
a little late on those balls. Sometimes those balls are
getting a little floaty on him. He does not have
a if you don't have a stable platform, good night.
Speaker 5 (45:31):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, dicks.
Speaker 7 (45:32):
Dicks, my boy, Kaye. Don't forget he's the takeaway king.
That's one thing he struggled on a few things in
Buffalo but he will come away with the ball. So
I'm gonna go with kay.
Speaker 5 (45:41):
Okay, okay, I got one more bulls. Eyre busted all right,
already last ones.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
By halftime, the Giants will already have abandoned the run
game against Dallas.
Speaker 8 (45:56):
Well, dang if they If they do that, then the
two hundred yards is gonna be better.
Speaker 4 (46:02):
Well maybe, Giant.
Speaker 8 (46:05):
I'm gonna say no because I do expect for them
to come out more and let because Devin Singletary look like,
uh he needs some potato chips in the couch.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
You know what.
Speaker 5 (46:17):
That's crazy work. Uh, Why are you like someone's son? No,
I'm just I have respect for him. He just looks older.
Say what you want to say. When you see these
young running backs running the ball and you see these
older running backs looking except for dead Henry because he's anominally,
it is a drastic difference.
Speaker 8 (46:34):
So I think that they might realize that Devin Singletary
maybe doesn't give them the best shot. Tyrone Tracy should
get more touches in scatterbo who I'm not in to
move for. I'm not not to move for having to
tackle him if he is somebody out there. So I
think they're gonna give them more touches this week.
Speaker 5 (46:51):
They got to.
Speaker 8 (46:51):
They got to help out that quarterback, give him some
play action situations for him to take advantage of. Because
maybe they just just just running at people now, worry
just passing that people not working.
Speaker 5 (47:01):
You gotta fake something something.
Speaker 7 (47:03):
Yeah, I say bus too. I don't think they're gonna
get away from the run. I don't think they have
that optous They're not strong enough to just rely on
the past game. And then plus I just got a
little bit of feeling of the rookie quarterbacks, Catta. But
like you said, I know he didn't get a ton
of touches last week. But the physicality on that man,
that is just somebody you want involved when you're going
against a physical team like Dallas upfront.
Speaker 3 (47:26):
So all right, well that's a rap for bulls eyre
Bus and a rap for a girl song boy software
today for beyond old George, I should worsen. I'm gonna
coutch and said we'll see y'll back here tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (47:36):
Aam by y'all, she's so crazy.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
She's been a production of Dallascowboys dot Com and the
Dallas Cowboys Football Club
