The Cowboys are coming off a big win, but it’s not getting any easier. In fact, they have yet to play a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes this season, a guy who only seems to care about winning or losing, not about stats. Is that a rarity in today’s NFL? Also, can Dak Prescott handle the Chiefs blitz? He’s been great against it so far this season. Plus, Jesse’s key stat and our predictions. Happy Thanksgiving!

Speaker 3 (02:06):
I can't eat cry or you can.

Speaker 11 (02:09):
So I go to the same wingstop right on outside
of town, and I'm just old. I'm just old, but
I appreciate good customer service. And so one of the
young girls that work in there every time I come
and she goes, she was just like this, She goes, hey,
mister Jesse, like you a lot, Hey, mister Jesse. I

(02:32):
was like, how you doing. I'm like, but Jesse is
just fine. She won't stop saying mister Jesse. Really, she
just won't stop saying. I'm like, Jesse, just Jesse. She's like, okay,
mister Jesse. She even like because now they have like
the board like so like once you put your order
and it goes up on the wingstop board.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Doesn't say mister Jesse.

Speaker 9 (02:49):
Up there, mister Jesse, take your picture.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Take She was raised right.

Speaker 11 (02:55):
Yeah, she just puts mister Jesse every time she takes
I'm like, just Jesse, no eye, just Jesse.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Okay, mister Jesse.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Good for her.

Speaker 9 (03:03):
Shout out to uh all the fellows, the lads with
the cowboys. I finally got to hang out with them
last night, Paul and Mike and Jamie and all those guys.
So uh every there was a group of about twenty
five of them at a brewery in Arlington.

Speaker 10 (03:21):
I should have called you, Kurt on the street.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
And uh, you know he was I didn't even think
about it just now and uh.

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Yeah, as long as you're getting yours on, it ain't.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Just me, I'm vindicated.

Speaker 9 (03:36):
Boy.

Speaker 7 (03:36):
He left him on the porch waiting with an empty glass.

Speaker 11 (03:41):
Thinking about itself. He wanted he wanted to get all
the free drinks for himself.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
But every division do what you have a division?

Speaker 10 (03:47):
Uh No, it was stinging something you don't even remember.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
It was bad.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
I'll look it up.

Speaker 9 (03:53):
I don't I'm not a big brewery guy. Because they
they don't have my they don't have Miller Lite. And
so I always ask.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Them, what's the White Country?

Speaker 12 (04:00):
What's just what's the equivalent of Yeah, because you know,
you go to a brewery and they're like super snobby
about their beers, and if you ask for a domestic
they're just like, look at you.

Speaker 9 (04:15):
So I always say, what's the what's the worst beer
you have here?

Speaker 3 (04:18):
And they'll look at me.

Speaker 9 (04:19):
I'll be like, what's the equivalent of Miller Lite And
they'll go, oh, it.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Would be this one.

Speaker 9 (04:25):
And I'm like, that's the one that I want because
they look at they look at domestic light beers like
that's just the worst thing you can drink. So lady
comes up and throws it down like the lady from Goony's.
Remember this is in there.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
Try that.

Speaker 9 (04:38):
So anyway, they all confirmed, about eight or nine of
them came up and Shannon, we love the show. Thanks,
by the way. It is the best show. It is
the best show, the people show. So every day they
confirmed that. So shout out to all those fellas.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
And I forgot all the guys and gals.

Speaker 8 (04:58):
When we go out to the stadium, a lot or
people be they be hollering from way up there, from
from from the third tier, and I hear something like
hanging nay, and I'm like, hey, I'll be waving, you know,
because I can't really hear them. But all you guys
and gals that come to the game and watch this show,
thank you very much.

Speaker 10 (05:18):
There you go, Kurk, you got anybody you want to shout.

Speaker 11 (05:20):
Out, I'm must shout out big boy, big Boy Entertainment.
I think it is on Twitter because he tweeted me
yesterday and this is a perfect example of a big boy.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
But this is what we do. So either you love
us or you don't love us.

Speaker 11 (05:35):
He's like, man, love the show, love the stories, but
y'all take too dav long to get talking about football.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Hey, brother, hey, this is what this is what it is.

Speaker 13 (05:44):
Man.

Speaker 11 (05:44):
You you either you either you ride with us and
you don't ride with us. Sometimes you're gonna get all football.
Sometimes you're gonna get a mixture of football in life.
This is what the hanger with. This is what you
do when you hang with their boys.

Speaker 10 (05:55):
Right you want all football, go to one of the
other shows.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
We know we don't not life.

Speaker 8 (06:00):
Now, don't don't go to them show because by the
time you listen to that raggedy foolishness, you still gotta
come back and get that five minutes real.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Right here, this five Just.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Give one shout out, Yeah yeah.

Speaker 9 (06:14):
Randy and Randy Watson text Cannon good. He says he
loves this show. When he went through his cancer treatment,
he yeah, he listened to that's all.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
He's good.

Speaker 11 (06:28):
Fighting brother, keep fighting watching. We're gonna keep showing up.

Speaker 7 (06:31):
You know Randy is famous on this show. He's the
one that did this.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
Man, I just been busier and Jesse.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
That's Randy.

Speaker 8 (06:41):
Okay, yeah, stay busy.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Kurt just makes up up so you can be parking.

Speaker 14 (06:48):
I would have shouted out all those good folks from London, England,
but you know I want.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
He wasn't.

Speaker 7 (06:58):
I know how you feel when he shot in laws
about the times.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
I know how you feel when he stole all my time.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
I shared, I share my time.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
You got, you got the cream of the crop.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
Don't don't behave he gave you.

Speaker 11 (07:12):
It's called it's called paying the fry tacks, you know,
paying the fry text. If I go get the food,
I get the dig in the bag, y'all fries. My
frog will be fool. You had the tie tax.

Speaker 7 (07:26):
My wife has that in the car, the fry tacks.

Speaker 9 (07:29):
Yes, but I bought it driving And then when they.

Speaker 6 (07:37):
Oh, we don't even make when he's.

Speaker 9 (07:39):
Gonna get you have a flashback still, Oh my god,
you're gonna get some fries to snack time practice younger.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
He just gave four. We'll go ahead. We got to
pack show we need we need to forget.

Speaker 9 (07:56):
We ain't talked about no football this week. Well we've
talked about football, but not the game that's tomorrow. So
looks like, uh, Tyler Giden won't be playing tomorrow. Is
that is that we have an update on that?

Speaker 8 (08:07):
Yeah, Nate Thomas. Nate Thomas will be your left tackle.
They were very high on him in training camp. He
went over to the right tackle and has not shown
the consistency that he does at the left tackle, So
we will see.

Speaker 9 (08:22):
Is that a good thing that he's Yeah, he's at home.

Speaker 8 (08:25):
He's playing a position that he likes and that he's
practiced for the whole off season. Going to the training camp,
he was a better left tackle than he was right.
Talking to Will, Will said they wanted to put him
at one spot doing training camp so he can get comfortable,
you know.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
So, and he.

Speaker 8 (08:43):
Got comfortable at that left tackle, but they had to
use him a couple of times at right. He had
a decent game, then one game not so good. So
we will see, all right.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Give us Jesse you go first, and then Nate you go.

Speaker 9 (08:56):
In case we get off the rails here, we do
need to kind of preview the game. What are we
going to see from Kansas City? On both sides of
the ball, they're kind of if you look at the record,
they're kind of having a down year. They're not scoring
a ton of points. They're right around what twenty points
a game?

Speaker 10 (09:11):
Twenty five fourth? Are they really that high?

Speaker 8 (09:16):
Okay, just let me get this man, get it, get it.
They are a middle of the road team. Defensively, they
are middle of the road twenty two sacks, not a
whole lot of interceptions.

Speaker 6 (09:32):
What they do well is they tackle well.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
Strong safety number twenty seven, Jamar Connor, linebacker, Drew Trank,
Wheel linebacker Sam linebacker Nick Bolton.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
Those guys are always gonna be in the game.

Speaker 8 (09:54):
But when they go base base, they're gonna put in
Leo is number fifty four when they go true base.
The one thing I want to say, they run a
four to three four down linemen, three linebackers, but the
majority of the time is gonna be two linebackers with
number and that's Drew Tranquil and Nick Bolton that they'll

(10:16):
have in there betting know whether you give a spread look,
the two tight end look are that type of look,
and then they'll put the big guy in Leo Chanaw
number fifty four, but number if they are playing.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
Well, these four guys.

Speaker 8 (10:34):
Is gonna be making a lot of plays. I'm telling
you they will when they're in a.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
True passing situation.

Speaker 8 (10:44):
Steve Spagnola, the defensive coordinator, gonna light you up. He
gonna either bring six men or five men more than
what you got to block him. Or he's gonna have
some type of zone blitz, or he'll bring that number
twenty seven Jamar Kanna off that corner somewhere. He will

(11:05):
not allow you, at least is the last two games.
He will not allow you to run the ball. These
last two games, I think when we say get in
playoff Mold. They lost to Denver but only gave up
fifty nine yards rushing. They won against the Colts, the
Colts in overtime and only gave up fifty eight yards. No,

(11:28):
she only gave up seventy four yards. They are in
playoff Mold. A lot of people saying Chris Jones is
not playing his best go look at the film of
these last two games. Now for him to be as
dominant as he as he is when he wants to be,
you can single block him, but in certain situations downs

(11:54):
in distance, be careful with that because he'll light you up.
Is like, he'll turn into a suit for man for
that one or two plays and you'll be like, wow.
I mean they got him at the beginning of the
season where he was jogging and all of that. Fine,
you got it, but do not, Dallas. Do not think
that you're finna get a down a down year guy.

(12:15):
Chris Jones is still the catalysts of this thing. But
these four guys, now they have a.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
Cornerback Trent McDuffie.

Speaker 8 (12:25):
Yes, sir, he's in the top four in tackling. A
lot of people don't like a top tackling corner, But
what it tells me is he's a part of their
blitz game. He's a part of run support, run support.
So he is a guy. He's in the top four.
He they can tackle, man, they can tackles.

Speaker 14 (12:49):
You consider them like mid level. They're they're fourth in
points allowed, sorry, Shannon, they're nine point scored, but fourth
and points allowed sixth and yards allowed. I mean that
seems like one of the tougher defenses.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
I would disagree with them.

Speaker 8 (13:01):
But now the reason the reason I'm saying this because
normally in a normal year, I'm saying, yeah, but their
record is what six and five?

Speaker 6 (13:12):
Six and five?

Speaker 11 (13:14):
I think it's more so because that offense hasn't been
explosive as it used to be in the past. Right
when they're putting up thirty five forty points a game
like that's.

Speaker 8 (13:22):
I haven't seen their early numbers. I haven't, Like I say,
I'm going off the last two games. The last two games,
I'm saying their lights out. But over the years, some
had to happen for them to You don't just lose
games when you're as talented as this team. Is it
because they got the receiver back and now they're more explosive.

(13:47):
But now I'm not saying that defense is bad. I'm
just saying, be weary of them because their record indicates
that they're in the middle of the pack. Their stats
does not indicate that, but they are. Like, normally they
would have more sack than this, you know they don't.
One of the linebackers is the leading socker. You know,
so with three or four. So my thing is this

(14:08):
here we and I'm talking about Cowboys, are in the
same position that they are. You got two teams that
are desperate, one team that knows how to play in
a desperate mode, the other team, Cowboys learning how to

(14:30):
play in a desperate mode.

Speaker 6 (14:33):
I think that.

Speaker 8 (14:36):
They are better. I just mean, I just think that
they are better. They I think that they can match
us offensively. I'm talking about our offense versus their offense.
And I think their defense can match our defense. You know,
but they It's one I tell people you thinking about

(14:56):
getting to the next level. They have been there over
and over and over. The one thing I like, I
would like to share what people is and well I
was gonna share this Monday, but I got cut off
viciously by Jesse is these guys messy.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
Jesse. See these guys. When you have played.

Speaker 8 (15:23):
Year in and year out, and you've played a minimum
of two extra games over a four or five year
period of time, you've almost played a season of games.
So the Chris Jones of the world, the Nick Boltons,
and all of these guys, uh, the quarterback, maybe a

(15:44):
couple of the offense they're starting to wear now and
by the slow start that they had showed that over time.

Speaker 6 (15:54):
It ain't that the other teams are better. They just
getting beat up because they play those two or three
extra games.

Speaker 11 (16:01):
Playing well in the February, right, and they are physical teams.

Speaker 6 (16:04):
You're not. After you get past the first round, all the.

Speaker 8 (16:07):
All the all the all the chumps are gone, only
the bulledogs are left, you know. So and now they
finally as a team are coming together. But they, like
I said, they understand what desperate is. They understand that
probably every guy to a man is watching the limit
of extra film, taking their body into the chamber, whether

(16:31):
the crowd chamber or whatever, getting themselves ready. You know,
they ain't going out with the lads of England and all.

Speaker 6 (16:36):
Of that.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
Teammates.

Speaker 8 (16:39):
Yeah, but hey, Jesse, I got it out, thank you.

Speaker 3 (16:43):

Speaker 9 (19:10):
All right, Jesse, give us your analysis breakdown of the
Chiefs offensively and defensively.

Speaker 11 (19:19):
Okay, offensively, I think this team it's a dangerous offense,
right because Andy Rees your your your head coach slash
offensive coordinator. He and Matt Naggie work, you know, hand
in hand. So he's one of the best, right He's
He'll go down as arguably, if not number two, behind
Bill Belichick, pushing Bill Belichick. If Patrick Mahons can get

(19:41):
him up there in the Super Bowl wins unorthodox. This
offense has been kind of this year. Part of the
reason being just the injuries they've Offensively, you had Rashid Rice,
who was their extra receiver there one, their wide receiver one.
They don't have this that we have here, right, Rashid Rice,

(20:03):
he was suspended for five or six games early in
the year because of his incident here in Dallas on
the highway. And then you know, so now you have
Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown is injured, he's hurt not
you know, he's always back and forth, So Travis Kelce,
he's getting along in the tooth. They're running backs are
going in and out. Pa Chucko's and Pa Checko's out
and creams in Kareem's out. So they've all they've been

(20:24):
dealing a lot of injuries up front, back end, receivers,
and so now to Nate point, like you were saying earlier,
they're coming together and starting to win a little bit
more because these guys have had a chance to start
playing together as a whole. Now they'll be without they're
starting right guard Tray Smith, he'll be out of this game. Him,

(20:45):
Noah Gray and another one I know, Isaiah Pa Chucko
was coming back off injuries.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
One more that'll be out in this game.

Speaker 10 (20:53):
That Jake from State Farm roll over on his ankle
or something.

Speaker 11 (20:57):
On Who Trey, Yeah, yeah, trays in that he's in
it commercial trade. Yeah, Trey has a lower and upper
ankle spray.

Speaker 14 (21:06):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 11 (21:06):
You don't really hear about the lower ankle springs anymore.
Usually the high ecole sprains. The one's the difference, doun't
I mean one's lower ones higher.

Speaker 14 (21:12):
The lower is when it rolls to the outside, the
higher rolls to the inside.

Speaker 11 (21:17):
I think I think it's the other way. I think
it's the inside is lower the outside. Okay, and look
it up, Oh probably probably you're right.

Speaker 9 (21:25):
You're the expert here, so he rolled, he just rolled
it both ways.

Speaker 18 (21:28):
Yeah, he's probably I don't know, uh so offensively Trey
Smith rolland Wallace and no Gray or the three. Yes,
but very dangerous as long as fifteen is back there healthy,
it's going to be one of those deals where and
and the thing that worries me a little bit about
what they do offensively eleven personnel right, one tight end,

(21:49):
I'll be Discovery one back, one tight end, three wide receivers.
And this is kind of my my synopsis versus offensively
and defensively, like so offensively they're gonna run that. But
where I'm a little bit worried is and where we're
about to face a conundrum is Matt Eberflus has found
this new love of the five man front, right, and

(22:11):
with the five man front, you now have to start
making some decisions because before the five man front was Colmos,
it was a throw in. It's like, hey, we're a
four man front, but I'll throw a fifth guy in
there if I need to. He has full on adopted
this whole five man front thing kind of started in Denver.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
You saw started in Denver.

Speaker 11 (22:33):
Then the trade and stuff, all that happened and really
ramped it up against the Raiders, and it was on
full on display against the Philadelphia Eagles. Like, so he's
kind of adopted this thing.

Speaker 10 (22:44):
What percentage of plays did they run five man front?

Speaker 11 (22:47):
We know man out from like watching it over seventy wow?
Like so like you you do anything in the seventy
eighty percentile, that's who you are, right, So what makes
this difficult is because let's just through simple math, eleven
men play on defense, eleven men play on offense. Right,
So if I got a five man front. With the
five man front, you're usually gonna have two high safeties

(23:09):
and two cornerbacks. Five two and two is nine. So
now you got two guys left. And you watch the
Philadelphia game and they ran this in the variation of
sometimes they're gonna go just one single linebacker and a nickel.
Sometimes they're going two traditional linebackers no nickel, meaning that

(23:29):
they'll have a five man front, but then they'll drop
ezeraku in the coverage. Right, they'll line them up there,
but then he's responsible for dropping out playing coverage. Well,
Philadelphia doesn't run many eleven man personnels. The Raiders didn't
run a lot of eleven man personnel. Neither kind of

(23:50):
did Denver, Kansas City's gonna run eleven man personnel.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
How do you defend it? Because if you're going to run.

Speaker 11 (23:59):
Zone, you're gonna be in trouble because you're not gonna
be able to get the pressure a four man front.
Zone pressure. You're not gonna be able to get the
pressure on Patrick Mahomes. And Rashie Rice is little like
his Rashi Rice when he has to go and play
and catch Patrick and zone is up here, it's actually

(24:19):
lower for him. In man coverage, he struggles more man
covers catching the ball than he does in zone cover.
He eats him up in zone coverage. So I'm looking
at that and I'm saying, Okay, how are the Cowboys
going to maintain being able to stop the run. If
they're gonna go on the five man front, how are
they gonna play it on the back end? Because if
you don't get to Patrick Mahomes And now he's sitting

(24:41):
back there and he's letting you know, Travis Kelcey and
they've told you this time and time before, is sometimes
we just run our own little backyard routes. He know me,
I know him and I'm supposed to do a hook
and I'm running the out because I just thought it
was open.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
And now Patrick mahomes back there.

Speaker 11 (24:55):
You know, he dancing around and now you get hit
because you Travis Kelson and found the zone that you
ain't covering, and now he's up the field. So that's
going to be the thing for me when I look
at what they do offensively and had eleven man personnel,
They're going to try to establish the run. So Kareem Hunt,
Isaiah Pachuco, that's gonna try to happen. I hope the
Cowboys be able to shut that down, which they've done

(25:15):
a pretty good job of the last couple of games
shutting the run game down. They shut Ashton gent down
had seven yards on six carries or whatever that was
or something.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
Le Sakwan had twenty two yards last week.

Speaker 11 (25:26):
So they're doing a really good job and shutting the
rundown ever since Quinn Williams has gotten the town.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
They're gonna have to do it again this week.

Speaker 11 (25:34):
But can you create the pressure and then can you
cover in the back end. That's gonna be the big
question that we have to ask for this defense and
being able to stop all of the receivers and the
tight ends that they're gonna be flooding your different zones.
And then Patrick Mahomes is and that's another thing because
he also gives the thread of a runner. He'll take

(25:56):
off on you all day long. And I'll say this now,
and this may come back to bite us in the
butt later on. Stay off Patrick mahomes. Nobody gets more
penalties called in their favor than Patrick mahomes So he
gets host to the sideline. You think you're gonna push
the real hard out of bounds, they will throw a flag.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
You get a little bit.

Speaker 11 (26:18):
Too high in the pocket, hitting anywhere near the head
and neck air, they're gonna throw a flag in the pocket.
All that old extra stuff that when it deals with
Patrick mahomee. And that's why they say the refs are
on his side. On Chiefs fans, they don't, as a
young kids say, the NFL don't play about him. They
keep him up right. They don't want Patrick mahomes down hurt.
So I'm so sam.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
Uh why you got why.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Clowney all y'all stale still listen.

Speaker 11 (26:48):
I'm telling you I will come back here on Monday,
and you'd be like two portions of fouls right there.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Jesse was right. I'm telling y'all, sack them. Do what
you gotta do.

Speaker 11 (26:58):
All that extra from Patrick Mahomesy, it ain't they it
ain't happening now if we flip it their defense. I'm
a big Nick Bolton fan. He's a local kid from here.
He's from Frisco. I've long been a Nick Bolton fan.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
He's good.

Speaker 11 (27:15):
I just like Nick Bolton. He's physical, he's tough, he
can tackle. He's just like he's like he was just
built the play linebacker and they want to.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
Spags is a sicko.

Speaker 11 (27:29):
Like spag Wan, He's gonna bring pressure from a lot
of different He's the pressure.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
Is coming now.

Speaker 11 (27:35):
The good thing is that Dak does well against the blitz.
He's one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football
League in the last ten years when it comes to
him playing against teams that blitz. And now you add
George Pickens to the mix, and that really bowdes well
for what they can do, you know, in the passing game.
But they're getting ready to test the chin and the

(27:55):
neck and see if Nate Thomas buckle up son Uh
Terren Steele, You've had. You've had some good You've had
some good plays the last.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
Couple of weeks.

Speaker 11 (28:05):
You're gonna have to You're gonna have to sit in
there today, well tomorrow, because Spags is bringing it. He's
bringing it from the slot, he's bringing it from the corner,
he's bringing it from the middle.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
He's taking uh, He's taking Chris Jones.

Speaker 11 (28:18):
Chris Jones will be a defensive end on the right.
Chris Jones to be a one technique, can you only
to be a three technique?

Speaker 4 (28:22):
Can only be a.

Speaker 11 (28:23):
Defensive on the On the other side, He'll move up
and down that line. He'll stand up over the center.
So Chris Jones is his movable piece that goes up
and down that line of scrimmage, trying to find matchups,
trying to find where you gotta where you have a
leaky soft spot at and I can come and attack
it by lining up four man front and then bringing
that extra guy or lining up five man front, kind

(28:43):
of like how we want to do but now they
want to do it with Chris Jones. It's gonna be
a battle two very desperate football teams. They better have
an answer.

Speaker 14 (28:52):
Is this Just looking at PFF grades, they ranked their
secondary one of the best in the league.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Is yeah, because one because of the pressure face some
like this in Denver. In Denver, I.

Speaker 11 (29:06):
Would say, I would say certain is probably the best
corner you can put Trent mcduffy in the conversation of
if this Patrick Certain, you can put Trent duffy in
whatever like Patrick's by hisself, Patrick Stingley Jr. They're up
there probably by themselves. And then you can kind of

(29:27):
shuffle in that next.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Group of.

Speaker 11 (29:32):
Uh J C Horn and excuse me, and and uh
and Trent mcduffy in that next tier group of guys.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
So he's one of the top five for sure in
the league.

Speaker 11 (29:42):
And then their other corner is a taller, is a
taller of the two because Trent's probably like five, and
then the other one is a taller guy. So I
don't know who they're gonna decide to play where if
one's gonna follow the other because of you know, size
of six foot four on George Pickens.

Speaker 8 (30:01):
But when you and with and with this madness of
what he's saying with the defensive coordinator, he trying to
force you to throw it to a certain spot quickly, Yeah, quickly,
trying to force you to you know, you're like, oh,
he caught the ball, but they tackle bro. Yeah, they
they rally to it. So that's kind of my quick

(30:21):
synopsis of the two sides.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
You know of it all.

Speaker 8 (30:25):
Yeah, your your blood flow good. I know you got
on a tight shirt.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Just all cookies in on the show. Got my clothes
a little tighter.

Speaker 11 (30:33):
They talking about his shirt, not my shirt. I'm always
the one to get this tight shirt. He put the
tight shirt stuff on me, Sir.

Speaker 9 (30:41):
Kurt had Kurt had a good stat their secondary PFF ranks.
McDuffie is fourth, Watson is sixth, their slot cornerback rolling
Wallace is seventh, and Cook is eleventh amongst safety. So
what four guys in the top of eleven PFF.

Speaker 8 (30:58):
Like, yeah, and you can see it on film. They
would they they would jump a rout. Uh, they would,
they would be on they'd be on you your window.
You with Dak, you know, get your hips popped and everything, brother,
because you don't need it, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 11 (31:15):
And so let me just get quick numbers, like Dak
against the Blitz this year seven point one yards per attempt.
He's had sixty eight point five yard completion percentage against
the blitz. He has a one to twelve point one
passer rating and he's getting the ball out in two
point six seconds.

Speaker 9 (31:28):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Kansas City will blitz.

Speaker 13 (31:30):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (31:31):
Their blitz rate is ninth in the NFL, so thirty one,
almost thirty one percent of the time Kansas City is blitzing.

Speaker 9 (31:36):
So this is gonna be this is gonna be a
fun game from a you know how, you know how
match boxing, you know, matchups make fights. This is gonna
be a good a good test of you know, style
versus style, right, because.

Speaker 10 (31:50):
What Dak does well, they they like to do that
on defense.

Speaker 9 (31:53):
So it'll be it'll be fun for you guys that
like to watch film and break down.

Speaker 8 (31:57):
Against the Colts, a quarterback didn't move around a lot.
I mean he has the ability, but he didn't move
around a lot. He only ran two or three times.
He ran three times for maybe sixteen yards as long
as was thirteen. He didn't move around a lot. The
Denver Ver Broncos quarterback moved a little bit more and

(32:19):
they continued to run regardless, they moved around. I'm telling you, Dak,
do not sit still. Do not let spags know where
you're gonna be standing, you know. I mean, Jesse said
it over and over and I agree one hundred percent. He's
been manipulating the pocket. This is the game where if

(32:42):
it's not there, Dak.

Speaker 6 (32:43):
Just throw it away.

Speaker 8 (32:45):
It's just throw it away, because unless you're gonna move
around a little bit more, just a little bit more,
you don't let this type of you know, like you
call him a psychle or maniasterric sico. Hey, this sicle
got a purpose though, you know he wowright.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Let's take our last break.

Speaker 9 (33:02):
When we come back, we have some fun audio for
Nate to listen to and break down they tuned.

Speaker 10 (33:09):

Speaker 4 (33:10):
I don't know what this is.

Michael Irvin was the topic of discussion on Ryan Clark's
The Pivot podcast yesterday. Darren Woodson was their guests. And
I guess they filmed it here at the start, because
if you go watch the episode, you can see the
the chandelier and the background out here in the atrium,
so you know what, He's got his office over here
on the other side. So I guess they came up

(35:51):
here and did it. Chris is gonna play like it's
a two minute clip. It's a little bit long, but
it's worth it. And Nate he's talking about A J.
Brown and he had some he had a question for
Darren and just the whole dynamic of the locker room
back when you guys were playing, And so the voices
you're gonna hear is gonna be Ryan Clark, Darren Woodson,

(36:12):
and I think Fred Taylor kind of jumps in there
and asks a couple of questions.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
But Chris play it and then then we'll last Nate
about it.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Recently, No, so this thing came out and Erv was
saying something about aj AJ Brown, yeah, and the way
he was behaving. And somebody's response to IRV was basically like,
you're the reason receivers act like this, and was like,
I did a lot of stuff.

Speaker 6 (36:35):
He was like, but me and eight never had no doubt.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Can you kind of talk about really ed b ever?

Speaker 21 (36:43):
Like I remember being in practice with eight, Like people
forget Troy was a dude, dude dog, a dude like
he There was no you wouldn't go on at Troy
any crazy way, right, they would. We would start practice
and if the drills were Troy was a perfection.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
If the drills weren't going well on.

Speaker 22 (37:01):
The offensive side of the build, defensively, we could be
having the best practice ever, right if it wasn't going
on well on the on the office side of the ball,
he would start practice all over again.

Speaker 6 (37:13):
Troy. He was like, start over again.

Speaker 22 (37:15):
We go back to one and start practice all over again.
And dudes would not they run a bad route.

Speaker 6 (37:23):
He'd go off in practice. None of them.

Speaker 22 (37:25):
We be sitting there a defensive players were just sitting
there with God and he's just going in on you,
and he's just going you know, we just hyping it
up on our side.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
I can't believe you let him talk to you like that.

Speaker 22 (37:37):
Mike never said.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
He was like, yep, got it, got.

Speaker 22 (37:40):
It, because he was dependent on getting the ball from Troy,
and him and Troy had this special relationship.

Speaker 6 (37:45):
When Mike got into.

Speaker 22 (37:46):
Trouble and was in court, guess who was there every time.
I mean, their relationship was so it was a different relationship, man.

Speaker 6 (37:56):
They just had this mutual respect for each other. He
was never gonna say say something bad about Troy. Guess
eighty eight.

Speaker 22 (38:02):
You gotta fight, not locker room, say something about Troy
and watch them off of the line and come after
your ass like you just you and passengers.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
You stay away from him. He was just like that.

Speaker 22 (38:15):
I'm telling there was a true pecking order in that
in that locker room.

Speaker 10 (38:19):
What you think, Nate, It's true, it's true.

Speaker 6 (38:23):
It's true. I'm telling you a game.

Speaker 8 (38:25):
I think Troy came after me during a game, and uh,
you know, I was hyped. I'm trying to do the
best I can. And something happened and I told I
told Mike. I said, Mike, I'm gonna kill this. You know,
y'all know me. I'm easually going over and I said, man,
I'm finnah. Mike grab me and say, hey, man, think
about before you do this. He said, you do what

(38:47):
you want now, but you think, well, you will not
be here come Monday when you when when you get
through you he said, don't do that.

Speaker 6 (38:55):
They that's dumb.

Speaker 8 (38:56):
And I looked at him and I went over that
sat out of drunk some water and I said, yeah, okay,
after the game, is it, Mike?

Speaker 10 (39:02):
Thank you?

Speaker 6 (39:03):
You know, and I'm still looking at Troy. Troy looking
at me.

Speaker 7 (39:07):
Try to care.

Speaker 8 (39:08):
Troy kept because the one thing that I understood about
our stars, and I was telling some young guys about this.
It was only one thing that mattered. That's why I
do not understand about the peck and order of what
we do here, because it's about Dak and everybody else,

(39:32):
and it was about Troy and everybody else, and the
only thing mattered when we walked out on that field
Monday to practice. Did we lose or did we win?
And that's how I'm gonna stay like that, you know.
So when the people ask me about who's this and
who's that, all I'm asks you is did they win?

(39:52):
That's what I want to talk about. And that was Troy.

Speaker 6 (39:55):
Troy told a media guy, he said.

Speaker 8 (39:58):
I know I'm at the end of my career. I'm
not gonna be one of the highest passing guys. I'm
not gonna have the most yards. I'm gonna have a
great percentage when the playoffs get there. That's where I
want to be my finest. Check the records. I want
to be my finest, but I want to be judged
as a winner. At the end of the day. Trub

(40:19):
is judge as the winner. And when coach Whistle got
here and things was a little different, he stayed upset
he just stayed upset.

Speaker 9 (40:27):
You think there's still locker rooms in today's NFL that
are like that.

Speaker 6 (40:31):
Yeah, number was up in New England. That was the
only thing.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Last one was that the last one.

Speaker 6 (40:37):
Now it's back.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
About to play.

Speaker 8 (40:40):
The only thing because you got to look at this
quarterback the first year he threw them in the championship,
the second year, or the third year, this third one,
but Checko random to a Super Bowl and their defense
has recently took over.

Speaker 6 (40:55):
This quarterback ain't selfish. This quarterback is not selfish.

Speaker 8 (40:58):
And I give you a selfish quarterback because I think
it's one of the greatest passive quarterbacks ever.

Speaker 6 (41:03):
Damn Marino.

Speaker 4 (41:04):
It's one of the most selfish guys in the world.

Speaker 8 (41:05):
He will tell you if we ain't throwing, we ain't going.
And brother, you never you never went back. If that's
why you know, I feel bad for Jesse because Jesse
is a bulldog and he gonna fight.

Speaker 6 (41:18):
And when he said the other day, I give up,
that hurt me. I want to throw something.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
You don't give up.

Speaker 6 (41:24):
But then you came.

Speaker 8 (41:25):
Back and say, but I am not coming off of
this mark. You know, I don't look at it that way.

Speaker 6 (41:31):
You know.

Speaker 22 (41:32):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (41:32):
I do not look at it.

Speaker 8 (41:34):
It's this guy the best, this guy the best. Da
da da, I look at it. At the end of
the day, have you won? People ask me about our secondary?
They said, well, have not secondary? I say, Quinn Williams.
But because they ain't got no smarter or no dumber,
it's just your leader. Now, your leader says do your job.

(41:56):
That's what we've been waiting on. Somebody to come in
and say, I'm gonna be in my gap. I'm gonna
do my job.

Speaker 6 (42:00):
That forces everybody else to do their job. I'm with you,
did not miss with Troy. These bottom line good.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
Stuff all right that time of the day on the show.

Speaker 9 (42:12):
Since it's our Friday, I don't know if I'm gonna
like the answers around the table today except for Nates.

Speaker 10 (42:18):
But Kurt, you're kind of torn this week, aren't you.

Speaker 9 (42:21):
Arthy's your hometown team and your employer that pays the bills,
which which.

Speaker 6 (42:27):
We don't want to do that last show.

Speaker 14 (42:29):
I grew up in Kansas City, but I was always
a Cowboys fan growing up, and Chiefs weren't that good
and Cowboys were oh your.

Speaker 3 (42:34):
Front front runner.

Speaker 9 (42:35):
I get like the Yankees, the Lakers, the Cowboys ever
since boy he was being with the Ranges a couple
of years ago.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
Don't talk about him anymore, Yea, what you think, Kurt.

Speaker 14 (42:48):
Well, before the season, I picked Kansas City, And if
you'd asked me three weeks ago out of pick Kansas City,
as I sit here today, I think I got to
pick Cander.

Speaker 5 (42:57):
Oh.

Speaker 14 (43:00):
When you look at their five losses, they've lost at
the Chargers, at Jacksonville, at Buffalo, at Denver. Those are
all seven and four teams.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
And they're also all road games.

Speaker 14 (43:09):
They all road games. They're one home loss was against Philly,
who's eight and three. They're not losing the Schmucks. I
just think that they haven't played a quarterback like Mahomes yet,
they haven't played somebody that good. And I just feel
like with Andy Reid and.

Speaker 6 (43:27):
Naggy and Steve Spagnolo, Yeah, they.

Speaker 14 (43:32):
This five man front may not sneak sneak up on
them now. And the defense is one of the top ones.

Speaker 9 (43:36):
So all the and all the swifties in there just
to cheer and home post alone.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
I hope Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 14 (43:43):
I hope the Cowboys are gonna win. I'm gonna here
about it. If they don't, I'm rooting for them, but
I just I don't. This is another Last week was good,
but I want to see it again.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
What's your score?

Speaker 4 (43:54):
To be close?

Speaker 14 (43:55):
Rogo Chiefs like, uh.

Speaker 10 (43:59):
Those warring Kurt all right, Nate opposite Cowboys?

Speaker 3 (44:05):
This is new bit.

Speaker 9 (44:07):
Cowboys twenty three, Chiefs twenty Chris, What you got, Chris?

Speaker 7 (44:15):
I'm sorry, I guess real quick score.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
Let's go with Thanks for listening to the show, Chris, Yeah,
no problem.

Speaker 9 (44:23):
The Boys, Yeah, they're all in here. Twenty eight, seventeen
twenty eight. That's gonna be my score. Who's winning Dallas?
Come on, duh, I'm gonna I'm with Kurt Man. As
long as they got fifteen and he gets the ball last,
I think it's gonna be tight. I think it's gonna
be tied up.

Speaker 10 (44:40):
Twenty eight, twenty eight.

Speaker 9 (44:41):
My homes is gonna get the ball on about the
thirty and just march right on down with no time
left and kick about a forty two yard field goal.
So I'm going Chiefs thirty one, Cowboys twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
But if the Cowboys win, we're going to the super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (44:56):
Baby.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
Now, I'm a believer.

Speaker 6 (44:57):
No, no, no, you ain't no believe or not? What
you just yes.

Speaker 4 (45:02):
And your score my stat of the week.

Speaker 11 (45:04):
I know that there's been a ton of talk about
Ceed Lamb and the dropping of the football.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
Is he back?

Speaker 11 (45:09):
He's talking about I just got to just catch the
f and ball and shabout saying we're gonna get him
the ball more. Don't take the over of CD Lamb
this week. I'm just going to say, take the over
or take the more.

Speaker 4 (45:23):
Jake fergus Jake Ferguson. Oh, I saw Jake Ferguson.

Speaker 11 (45:29):
If Jake Ferguson has I believe that he will, I
think Jake Ferguson will be north of one hundred yards
receiving this game. So I'm gonna say I'm gonna say
seventy five yards or more from old Jakie Jake. I
think this is from watching what I was seeing them
on film. There are a lot of underneath in the flats,
curl routes. I'm thinking Jake Ferguson getting that ball out

(45:52):
quick with that blitz. Jake Ferguson for me, seventy five
or more yards there, And like Kurt, I picked Kansas
City to win this game early in year. But I'm
picking the Calbray. I'm picking the Cowboys.

Speaker 6 (46:06):
I want you to look right into your camera.

Speaker 11 (46:09):
I'm picking the Cowboys. They've won two games in a row.

Speaker 6 (46:19):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (46:20):
I think there's a little something going on.

Speaker 3 (46:22):
Okay, I.

Speaker 11 (46:26):
Think there's a little bit of I think there's a
little mojo going on with the Cowboys. I think that
we'll be disappointed at the end of look at you.
I think will be the point at the end of
it all. But I think this week, this is another
one of those Jerry specials. You win against Kansas City.
Now everybody's believing, the energy is different, everybody's excited about it.

Speaker 16 (46:49):
So I got the.

Speaker 11 (46:50):
Cowboys winning this game twenty four to twenty at home
on Thanksgiving, Cowboys win.
