You can't let them just have routes on air where
they just give me the ball. And these guys are
all great with the ball in their hands. And we
didn't see any type of pressure on these wide receivers
from the defensive backs.

And when they dig, you know, we're trying to get
hands on them. Go on, man like like revel.

getting back from the injury.

and put this on him in terms of what they're doing,

And you saw the difference. But also when it came

how much of it is on the defensive coordinator or

Kevin Sheppard last night? They had a depleted defense. They
came in and played the way that they needed to play.

as a coach is to understand the wards of your
team and put your players in the best position. So

you put your team in the best position when you
got a guy coming off an ankle surgery and you
playing off on it.

I feel like you did like being a defensive player
on the outside looking in, because y'all are DB's and
y'all can speak on it a little bit more. But
you haven't been a man team. You haven't been a
press team all year. And the times that you have
gotten up there and pressed, it's been eighty eight and
off the gate you got James and Williams that it's
gonna take. It's gonna be bombs over, bombs over. Back there,

you got a man, say Brown when he is healthy,
he's still taking the top off, but obviously he was
hurt and he still was taking the top off. So yes,
if I'm a dB or if I'm the defensive coordinator,
y'all haven't showed me anything to trust y'all to put
y'all in press or to have that right there, like
this is all about proving it. Y'all are just not
proven that y'all can handle the run and started handling

some of these things. Y'all finally started proving that, hey,
I got y'all some pass rush and changing this right here,
that y'all can handle my exotic blitzes like keep showing
that you can prove those things.

And you got to understand something new in situational football.
Every coverage can be made to look the same every
I like, it just doesn't have to be man to
man for a dB to get in pressed position. You
can press and cover three, you can press the cover two.
So like, it's not just about the scheme of things,

and it goes back to what we're talking about, like
the players. The players know what down in distance it
is in the situation. They know when they should be
up and off. This ain't just about like, hey, I'm
telling you to play Cover three and you got to
line up eight yards off the man. No, like if
in that zone, if you could play it, you could
play it. However you're gonna play it, just be successful

in playing it. So that if that means line up
in five yards, that means line up and press it.
I mean, but it's about the players.

Okay, So looking here at the Detroit receivers, just looking
at the longs and just whether he got explosive plays,
you know, ten yards or more. Dave Montgomery, he had
along of thirteen Isaac u o other than number eighteen,
uh rookie, Yeah, twelve Long and twelve Jamior Gibbs long
and twenty six Saint Brown long at thirty seven Williams

Long of twenty nine. So you're just giving up big plays. Man,
got you know, several guys plays. And then of course
you know Jared Goff. You know you talked about trying
to get him off his spot. I mean, the guy
had three hundred nine yards passing in the game twenty
five of thirty one. Impression it was, it wasn't good

back to back for a guy that hasn't played in
over a year for another guy that hasn't played in
over a year coming off those major injuries like.

There's very few people that come back way more explosive
or that can handle that type of plate.

was one of those things that he was overthinking it,
Like because you've been getting so highly praised, people have

the one moment that something happened, you're deer in headlights
and it's like, oh snap, Like I'm caught off guard.
And now that you're playing behind the eight ball, you're
trying to make that play, and with you making that play,

you start having sloppy technique and you're slop.

you haven't played football or do you know football? You're
a former player. That boy, that man is not a boy,
but that grown man is a perennial pro bowler. He
played on arguably one of the best defense to ever
be out here. So for you to discredit him and
say his knowledge that is sensitive, brou that is sensitive,

But if Sherman has a certain energy towards George Pickens
on national televisions and the way he came at George

to have that same energy back towards Richard Sherman via
social media.

So you're saying the tone, the tone, and how he
you know, he wasn't talking like, oh well, George, you
know this effort was. It wasn't like he was talking
like that. You know, you know he need to do this.
So he came out even a little strong on national television.

So I'm just saying, is it wrong fully wrong for
George Pickens to then have that same energy towards Richard
in that case, I don't think it was because his
energy For what if everybody who's out there, y'all go
look at what he said, because we can't say what
he said, but.

His energy was ten times what energy energy was.

And even with sharm doing that one, maybe you can
call me by so whatever because he's my teammate, but
the same person and Sherman is on National TV, was
the same person that he was in that locker room.
The reason why the Legion of Boom was so good
was because guys like him, Doug Baldwin, Earl, Thomas cam
Chancellor all had that same personality where they held you accountable.
That's what's made him so great. Like we sit here

and we talk about, oh, you're the bad guy and
you're the villain. The reason that everybody fell in love
with Sherman's was not only because he was good, because
he went out there and talked and had that passion
with you.

You know, it goes to say like this, first of all,
in past years, of course, we didn't have the platform
to actually be able to respond like that, you know
what I mean? And then a lot of times it
