to do?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Do do do what it do.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
So congratulations Trey.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
You were the only one who picked the charges last night,
end up winning, And all I could just say to
myself is few the cowboys. How are you not just
continuing to kick yourself about these opportunities. Philadelphia is letting
you back in and you're not doing your to take it.
Speaker 6 (01:59):
That's a double when you sit there and look at
what's going on.
Speaker 7 (02:04):
You sit there and say, man, you you you talk
about those games, but those the things that you would
think make you think about this right now. It's also
the same thing that kind of makes you complacent, like
to say, oh, we're still in this, we still got
a shot. Like it's not putting like that pressure on
you to actually say, hey, man, let's go ahead and
take over with this, like you're still giving them that
(02:24):
help you.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
But they said that last week before Detroit, and it
was like, Okay, we gotta we know, we got to
do we gotta.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
Locked in ya gotta.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
It didn't happen even out this week.
Speaker 8 (02:33):
Well, I mean, you know, and and unfortunately, you know,
we already know the Cowboys can put up points for
pretty much everybody, you know, and and and the sad
part about it is they can't stop what's going on
on the other side of the bar.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
So we can't stop people.
Speaker 8 (02:48):
They can't stop people from putting points on them and
watching and seeing what's going on with Philly right now,
just like you said, leaving that door open, I mean,
and it ain't wide open, but it's cracked, you know
what I mean. And So with this being said, with
the Cowboys having what we got four games left this
games all right, Hey, I know that the Chargers was
looked at as possibly being one of those games that
(03:10):
is going to be the tough one. But now with
them looking like they did last night, this, this the
Vikings game, and this Charger game, hey, they might not
see ten wins at all.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
What'd you think I was, BC was here to combat
you on that.
Speaker 9 (03:28):
I mean, you know, he got the hope, he got
the hope, But like I don't because I've just seen
it too many times, man, I've just seen it too
many times that they're gonna find this team just finds
a way to let you down.
Speaker 6 (03:44):
They just do.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Man, they find a way to let you down. I
mean the Lions game. Man, I was all in on it.
What I say, thirty to twenty one, BC had Cowboys
twenty eight, twenty four a D you had the Cowboys
thirty twenty three. Of the four of us, you trade,
you went with de Truit. We're like here, we're buying it. Okay, No,
what do we get? Not only do you lose? They
(04:06):
score forty four points. We thought the defense was turned around.
You've got Jake Ferguson turning the football over, got Davon
Teke Turpin once again.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
You know, oh my man on means.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
You know, you've got George Pickens not playing his best
football game, which became a.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Whole big circus right there.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Cedee Lamb, who was having a great game, gets a concussion.
He's knocked out of the game. Your tackles are once
again making you say, oh my gosh, you'll kill Dak
Prescott for the season. So all of these things are
right here, and just like, man, why do I do
this to myself?
Speaker 5 (04:38):
Why why if you're killing it?
Speaker 8 (04:41):
Was different this year because now I have been a
part of it too as well, because living in Dallas,
growing up a Cowboy fan, and it's one of those
type of things like we all know, like that's that's
that's a hard love affair to shake.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
For some reason.
Speaker 8 (04:55):
I can't say what it is about the Cowboys, but
once you're a fan, you like tend to be a
long term fan, and you know, it's it's it's they
had momentum this year. It wasn't just hopium that she
was on this year. They actually had some momentum. You know,
the defense was looking good, the George Pickens was doing
some stuff, you know, So it was a trend that
(05:16):
she was on.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
It wasn't just the normal like, oh it's just hype train. No,
they have some momentum. It was looking different.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
But but I come back.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Into this, you know, I said before you you know,
when churches like they going t win ten game, I said,
they were not winning ten games.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
I didn't have this as a playoff team. But then
here I go, wait, but you wouldn't but you wouldn't
know the.
Speaker 8 (05:35):
Hood, Hey was it not winning ten games with Micah
or after the Micah thing.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
With Micah, still didn't have a winning ten games, didn't
have to make the playoffs because when I looked at Micah,
my thing was, he's not enough.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
He's you won some games from last year, so he's
not enough.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Because the back end was an issue, right, I had
question marks about the linebacker. I just didn't know it
would be this bad. So I had this as a
seven seven win team. I didn't have them and not
knowing what Brian Schottenheimer was going to bring as a
head coach, what Clayton Adams was going to bring you
as a defensive coordinator, I mean offensive coordinator, and knowing
(06:15):
that Matt Eberfluss was coming back as a defensive coordinator
who wants to have a dominant three technique and you
didn't have that. So I looked at us like this,
this doesn't compute. And I thought Washington was going to
come back and have a better, you know, a better year.
Speaker 5 (06:31):
I thought philed LP.
Speaker 6 (06:32):
I just didn't.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
I didn't think they were going to be up to
snuff in their own division.
Speaker 7 (06:39):
So but even with them not being up to snuff,
they what's the old saying, the same thing. They can
make you laugh, make you cry when you think about it.
The stuff that they've been doing is the same stuff
that they gave you hope, the wild plays like, let's
be real, George Picken did what he's been doing all year,
like he's been catching like that, he's been running with
the ball like that, he's been making the those excited plays.
(07:00):
And now that you get exposed, like you know how
it is ad what did they say, Oh, this is
good until it's not good?
Speaker 6 (07:07):
And that's what's that's and that's what's been happening right now.
Speaker 7 (07:10):
George is all he's been having those type of ball
security issues all throughout the year. The defense has been
what it has been, It's been spotty at best. DAK
has been up and down, and so those same things
I was.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
I was a week off.
Speaker 7 (07:23):
When I made that, uh that prediction a couple of
weeks ago. I said, man, watch, I said, you know
what Dallas always do. They do real good and watch
they gonna go out here and beat the Eagles. They
might even manage to beat KC. I thought they were
gonna lose the KC and the glass slipper would have
fell off, but it fell off the week afterwards. This
is the time and time again.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
So where I got fooled One more time is here's Detroit,
winning team having its own issues, but still a winning team,
the Cowboys. The Cowboys on the road against winning teams,
the records bad. It's like three for twelve, and it's
it's been a it's been a case where they don't
they just don't get it done.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
And within this.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
Game at Ford Field in Detroit, they were their own
worst enemy. Detroit, let you stay here in the football game,
and you did your part to obliterate your chances. And
then watching Philly last night do their part to just
lose again and you just shake your okay, And that's
where I kind of kicked myself, like why why do
(08:24):
you do this?
Speaker 7 (08:24):
But that's where you say this the difference between good
teams and teams that are okay like you.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
When we win ten games?
Speaker 2 (08:32):
This is it.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
This is exactly what they are who you thought they were.
Speaker 7 (08:36):
You should have stayed with your first mindset and it's like,
what have they done to prove to you at this point?
And don't get me wrong, the pieces were there, the
little things were there.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
But but what you see within the three games, you
saw them go to Vegas after you know, the first
game since Marshawn Neland's passing, play together.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
Get it done.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
Yes, Vegas is bad, one of the worst thing, but
you still you went there and you got it done.
On the road. You go and you take care of Philadelphia, Cay,
you take care of your jamp down, you know, down
double digits, come back, win the game. Then four days
later you're ready for Kansas City. You get it done
there with the opportunity.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
I'm in the.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Locker room, I'm talking to guys. Okay, they get it
and they see it.
Speaker 8 (09:23):
So this is and then you know, just like you know,
you get a chance to marinate some meat, right and
it sits for a few days, and and and then
once once you're ready to cook it that that that
taste has changed. It's it's like a different thing than
you bought.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
All right, Turky Bryan Baby, ready to go.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
The cowboys. The cowboys they ain't marinating. They haven't marinated yet.
Speaker 8 (09:47):
The culture hasn't changed yet, you know, the momentum change.
And so like I said, like we got caught up
in what we thought was was a transitional phase. And
the hope em and the momentum as well, like I'm
gonna go back to it, like it gave us something
to cheer for. It gave us something to be optimistic for,
(10:09):
you know. And as we sit in here every day
and talk about them, of course we want.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Them to be successful and do well, you know.
Speaker 8 (10:16):
So it's it's one of those type of things, just
like what you're saying, we got to take those blinders off,
all right.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
We got here for a little bit, okay, and we
got to.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
See I would look back here.
Speaker 7 (10:28):
Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily say that because I'm I'm what
he said, I'm a bump that ship a little bit.
Speaker 6 (10:32):
Because the culture I think has changed, Like when have
it passed?
Speaker 7 (10:37):
You've seen a player friendly coach, like a guy that's
actually bringing the energy there and galvanizing his troop like
you're starting to see that with Shotty. You see them
bringing into three techniques to.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Where record is what your records, Your.
Speaker 7 (10:50):
Record is what your record says you are. But since
Quinn Williams has been here, they have been in a
winning fashion. They lost these couple of games that are
key games in the end, but since Quinn Williams has
been there, those pieces that they add, you've seen a
new defense.
Speaker 8 (11:05):
So tell me where the culture change culture, because they're
not winning the games that they need to win or
they're supposed to win.
Speaker 7 (11:10):
They won those two games.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
It was games before those two two as well.
Speaker 8 (11:17):
Quin Williams won here, though he is is a culture
changed because of a player or because of what Shoddy
is implementing both well, So Shoty started it first, Okay,
Quentin Williams was was was the surprise or more or
less that that definitely was a big surprise.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
So that was just to add it to it. But
the whole thing started.
Speaker 8 (11:39):
If we're talking about culture shift, shot he started it, Okay,
he went and added to it. So before Quinnon got here,
there are games that the Cowboys were supposed to win
or should have won two as well, and they just
didn't perform in Arizona.
Speaker 6 (11:53):
Yeah, yeah, you're right.
Speaker 7 (11:54):
But then also in that same thing, first of all,
with culture shifts, it's not overnight like what they say
Rome was. Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm not
making that point though, because I'm still talking about it.
When you sit there and say Rome wasn't built in
a day, you can still see the foundation block. You
can go over there and say, hey, there's a building
being built over there. What they building? Universal studios out there.
(12:15):
We can see that they already broke ground on it.
You broke ground on it by the Green Bay game.
The Green Bank game was groundbreaking.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
Stay there trade, A lost to Carolina, Yes, a lost
to Arizona. Yes, these are games where you're like, really,
you let them get away. This was happening under Mike McCarthy.
This was happening under Jason Garrett. Where you look up
one day you're like, wait a minute, how do you
(12:44):
lose this kind of game? And the Denver game? What's changed?
You still go out to Denver and they tagging you
like a step child. You're I mean, you're not even competitive.
This has happened under several co coach is now where
you just simply say different coach, different but the same result,
where the Cowboys just don't get it done. And so
(13:09):
I'm telling you I ain't already said, man, I'm not
doing it.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
I said for the years, not a playoff team.
Speaker 4 (13:15):
Then all of a sudden they win three games, and
I'm believing it in the locker room, selling it to me.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
Yeah yeah. And then I go see the Detroit game
and I'm like, me, trait forty four points.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
By a team that was struggling, struggling where they head
coaches like, man, give me the play sheet. I mean
they have as an organization this year. It's been a
letdown from losing the two coordinators. Detroit was right here
to be had and they and even within the game,
they didn't play that well. It's still through forty four
(13:52):
on you and you're out here shooting yourself in the foot, Like,
what are you doing, Jake Ferguson, this is another fumble, Like, dude,
what do we do? Cavante turping out here once again
us two weeks in a row. You out here called
for cats and you can't do that against a team
in their building and they're winning Amara Saint Brown.
Speaker 6 (14:12):
You hurt look hurt me.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
You playing twelve yards off the coverage and it's got
I mean, there was just so many things.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
You're just like, my god, what I saw? What's changed?
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Trait?
Speaker 5 (14:22):
We keep seeing this out?
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah. So so they broke ground.
Speaker 8 (14:26):
The times people break ground and then don't nothing happened
after that, they'd have lost the funding or something then
happened or whatever. And so true, indeed they broke ground,
but after that there was a hiccup in the rest
of this situation, I.
Speaker 7 (14:38):
Would I wouldn't necessarily say it's a hiccup because it's
still you were You were the guy at the beginning
of the season that kept talking about, hey, Michael's not here,
the carpenter doesn't have this tools, that's that's newise quote
that way. And then you know, you did say that, hey, guys,
this team with Michael was supposed to be one way,
and without Michael you were giving I was like, Louie,
(15:00):
you were giving this.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
I didn't give them ten wins this season.
Speaker 7 (15:02):
I didn't give them ten wins either, but you also
said that you made the excuse to say, hey, because
they don't have Micah, like this is a rebuilding year.
In a rebuilding year, nobody expected ten wins. But when
the offense came out and was the number one offense,
it was like, oh snap, they might be in playoff
contentions with these little things. So when I say that
they broke ground, they broke ground, and they showed you
(15:23):
there's some opponents that they'll play tough, but they haven't
been able to take that final leap. Here just doesn't
happen like that.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Here's what hasn't changed. There's still a team that can't
beat good teams. They beat one team with the winning
record right now, Philadelphia, and look at them right now
on the struggle boss. But you go back, look at
these wins, Giants, where they at.
Speaker 6 (15:44):
They started off hot at the beginning right now, Okay,
started off at the end of the season.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
A limit fired ahead coach. So, okay, do you beat
the Jets, last place team, new coach. Problem there? You
beat Washington that that team is on the struggle bus.
They're not good.
Speaker 7 (16:01):
They are now at that time when they beat Washington,
it wasn't they wasn't struggling Washington.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
They wasn't like but you beat a team that's got
a losing record. You beat the Raiders well on their
way to, you know, seeing if they're gonna get a
top three pick.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
You beat Philly, one team would have winning record.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
One team you beat Kansas City can't see them and
win their division. They're not who they were. So this
is what the Cowboys have been under Schottenheimer. It's really
what they were under under McCarthy, what they really were
and the Jason Gett. You're a team that can beat
some bad teams, but when it comes to beating good teams,
you can't beat them on the road, and sometimes you
get them at home. This is a problem at some
point in time. Man, they gotta fix this thing if
(16:39):
they want to go where they believe they We got
to take our break right here, get our first break
gown and let you respond. Tray Trey Moore, It's gonna
respond next along with Anthony Dorse sat up new he scruts.

Panther Anthony Geor said here on New he Scruts plays
on Spoty by Aristocrat Gaming. Okay, Tray, you were making
your point before the break.
Speaker 7 (19:32):
Yes, So what I was saying with the whole culture
thing you see in the ground and seeing the momentum
you've seen the culture change with Dak coming in there
and being able to put up the numbers that he was.
When you say that the culture just doesn't change overnight.
They've been into these games. These games that they have lost,
(19:53):
they haven't been major think in my head, they haven't
been major losses like that, like it's been right there
in the fire and you were like, hey, if you
just have a little bit. Those they were blowing except
maybe two, but a lot of those games were close.
That first Eagle game that wasn't a winnable game, Arizona.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
But that's Arizona.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
No, no, no, you and you hain't beat Arizona.
Speaker 7 (20:15):
That's okay, that's one. That's one team this season. There's
plenty of people that you can beat you. But Trey Treck, Okay,
that's what I got.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
Okay, what you hear?
Speaker 4 (20:25):
Arizona? Okay, at this point in time in November three,
you needed this game, needed it, you need it, and
they came out here teaming and whooped your tail. They
ain't lost ten of eleven games right now, but they
got you. What's changed because this is what they were
doing before and then the week before the Broncos tore
you up.
Speaker 7 (20:47):
And then what and then what happened? They got got
on the by you gotta when I say it changed.
You brought in a new head coach, that you see
the energy when people were like, oh, I'm starting to
see it. You even said it, I'm starting to think
this might be a Cowboys that's changed.
Speaker 6 (21:01):
It wasn't.
Speaker 7 (21:01):
You didn't just all of a sudden say hey, I
got on the Hope Eum train. It took three four
weeks for you to finally say, hey, Barry three, I
might be over here.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
Three wins.
Speaker 7 (21:09):
And that was just because and that was just because
of Shoddy and what he did. Come in here and
the pieces with George Pickings. Now, once you get now,
once you make the trade and you get Quentin Williams
in here, Clinty Kenny Clark in here, that's when the
defense was like, oh snap, we're starting to see this.
They're beating the former super Bowl champion two teams to
where you see that going there, and that's going up.
Speaker 6 (21:31):
It's not gonna just turn overnight to say.
Speaker 7 (21:33):
Hey, we instantly, because Jerry has said it, we're not
one player away, We're not this away, but we are
multiple pieces away.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
They haven't gradually got better, so they beat the.
Speaker 8 (21:43):
Former Super Bowl teams that aren't the same teams at all.
All right, Kansas City is on the outside looking at
Philly is self destructing from the inside, all right. So
those teams that the Cowboys be, if they were the
same teams they played from last year, dealt wouldn't have
been W's.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
They wouldn't have been And.
Speaker 8 (22:01):
So what we saw with Shoddy was we saw an
offense that was able to put up numbers that it
wasn't putting up before. But on the defensive side of
the ball, we didn't see. We didn't see a lot
of change besides up front, five man front Quinn Williams,
Kenny Clark getting here. But the secondary we're still in shambles,
and it's still is showing that it's in shambles.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
So based off of that, like, nah, bro, that's building.
Speaker 7 (22:24):
And that's building. It's not who won. Let's call a
spade a spade. The secondary is in shambles because they
have no leader back there. The dbs that they have got,
You got guys out there that's complaining getting concussions at home.
You got God saying hey, we don't believe in the
scheme instead of just playing football. But that same scheme
when Quentin Williams and Clinting Clark coming here and they say, hey,
(22:45):
we're just gonna play ball. We seen them go make
those players and cat.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Proving my point.
Speaker 8 (22:49):
I'm up with the whole thing with the culture you
keep you every time you say it.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
First you said it's changing. Then you said, well, it
ain't changing.
Speaker 7 (22:57):
No, I didn't say. I said it's building there, I
said it's breaking ground. I said it's changing. It's not
changing like you think it is, but it's changing.
Speaker 8 (23:03):
In order for them to get those ws and win
those games that they need to win. It doesn't need
to just be a break ground situation. It needs to
be a change situation. And so what we thought was
we actually thought I'm gonna go back to it again
with the moment, and we thought that it was actually.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
The wheels were rolling all right.
Speaker 8 (23:20):
And what we got was we got like some some
some good games and they beat some teams. But it's
not a true culture shift yet.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
So you you lose the Arizona in an embarrassing fashion
home twenty seven to seventeen. You got the bye wee
can fortunately Marsha Neigland passed away. You win three straight
this Detroit game. I'm in the locker room and guys
like da, this is a playoff game because.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
You got two teams right here. Here are the Lions
seven and five and here you are six, five and one.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
You you both know you need it because the way
these tie breakers are going, and the Cowboys had already
lost NFC games that they like to the Panthers in
Chicago that you were gonna you're gonna need to win
this tie breaker right here, they got handled man forty
four points of.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
Troy score seventeen points in the fourth quarter on you.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
So when I tell you and I'm like, man, this
is the same stuffing because this is what they've been
doing on now the shot and higher you've been doing
it under McCarthy.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
When you need it to happen, it's all up against
the line.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
People sitting around here talking to me by basket, we're
gonna do dot da. It was like when they had
to go face to forty nine ers and Tank Long
a couple of years ago. Hey man, we gonna get
our get back well and want to get back. They
got back and beat you down one more time. It
ain't changing, bro, It's the same thing, That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (24:35):
And I'm still gonna fight back on that because with
Detroit when they got Dan Campbell in there, people was like,
oh snap, it's a different it's a different style coach
that came in there to what they typically had in
the past. That first year he got there, it was like, Eh,
well they're still Detroit. You you got a little hopium
over there. But then all of a sudden, that next
year they had the building blocks to where they just
(24:57):
took off. Right now, you have the building blocks for you.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
To compare the Lions first year under Dan Campbell when
they did not have talent and Brad Holmes went out
and started to acquire the talent.
Speaker 6 (25:12):
They had some talent there.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
This was is not.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
Where this Cowboys team is. In my opinion, in terms
of talent, I think those are two different situations. I
think they Detroit was this was, Hey, we're clearing this
deck here, We're trying to make it work. The Cowboys
already have building blocks of Jerry like, this ain't no
rebuilding year. We're trying to build on what we got.
I think it's two totally different situations you're trying to
compare in the first year, in my opinion, between what
(25:37):
the head coaches were working.
Speaker 7 (25:38):
With exactly one. Detroit had building blocks. But even if
with them to have less and for you to have more.
They didn't have, so who was there on that roster?
Speaker 6 (25:48):
Let me let me look that up.
Speaker 7 (25:51):
But the whole point of the argument to just stay
on topic regardless even if they didn't have the roster
that they have. If the Cowboys have more of a
better roster right now, Shoddy is coming in and doing
the things that you are saying. You don't think they
can make a significant jump based off of the pieces
that they have if they keep their key free agency.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
Shure, if we sit up here, watch them win three
straight and here it is what they've termed a playoff game,
and they go and give up forty four points on
a Thursday night, and you picked against the Cowboys the
only one to do it, and you are correct.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
And if I sit up here in doorset and I'm like, dude, it's.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
The same old thing. Ain't nothing really changed this. This
is what you have been as an organization now for
a number of years and a number of coaches. When
it comes down to getting it done, it gets a
good team on the road. You let down, you still
can't get it done. Forty four points.
Speaker 7 (26:42):
And you still have the building blocks there. You have
a good offensive coach that has Dak Rowland, you bring
back George Picking. You got all three dtacles all you have.
Speaker 8 (26:51):
To do, so you're on next season. And so we
talked about this that I'm not saying. I said it
as a groundbreaking. Now you're talking about the window for
this season. We're talking about the actuality, the faction not performing.
Speaker 5 (27:02):
That's what now, y'all.
Speaker 7 (27:03):
Y'all moved the conversation. I sat there and said the
whole point you said you're talking about now, and I said, hey,
I'm just gonna say that you can't be so harsh
on them and say that they don't they don't have
a building block or a foundation for next year. I
didn't say nothing about this year. We all know this.
That's why I made the ten best season. But as
far as next year, with the roster that they have,
they bring George Picking back, I would be one of
(27:25):
those guys that would say tweet at the beginning of
the season.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
So we're he and I are lost because we lost
because we thought you were talking about right this season.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Right now you said shoddy Shoty's got this thing.
Speaker 7 (27:37):
I was talking about next year because I've already told y'all.
I don't think they're gonna win out like the glass
that came off.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
So I'm just letting you know, he and I right
now confused because I'm talking about right now.
Speaker 7 (27:47):
Yeah, they still that's where you they still they still
they still got a foundation right now. They just don't
have a foundation to go to the playoffs. They have
a foundation. They have the guys here. If they go
out there and if the Cowboys play to the best
their abilities.
Speaker 6 (28:01):
They easily can win out. Easily can win out.
Speaker 7 (28:03):
They showed the offense paralys they've sown the defensive capabilities.
Speaker 4 (28:07):
We need you to come back into twenty twenty five
right now with us. That's what we cut a twenty
five six, okay, because and I'm here.
Speaker 8 (28:14):
It's about what's happening as far as the Hopium, all right.
And when we talk about the Hopium, it's the hopium
that Jerry Jones still has. Like about, oh the Eagles lost,
they giving us a chance.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
To show that.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
We talked about the Billy last day though, you know, right,
that's what that's.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
We in twenty twenty.
Speaker 7 (28:34):
Five, and that's and all that is still doable. It's
not it ain't just out there, But it's my fault.
Speaker 5 (28:42):
I didn't set it up properly.
Speaker 7 (28:43):
Maybe maybe maybe because like I said, I'm still going
to say they have a foundation because with those four games,
who do they.
Speaker 6 (28:48):
Have on the on there right now?
Speaker 5 (28:49):
You got Minnesota this week that.
Speaker 7 (28:51):
You that you that you bashed JJ McCarthy before. Let's
the school last week. That's right, everybody, Look you see
how hard the ad laugh like that?
Speaker 2 (28:59):
Like okay, because you was on so tough.
Speaker 6 (29:01):
You got the you got to fight, you.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
You got riding, you got, you got him snug like
a magnomo. So you got that, you got, they got
the charges. They go to Washington on Christmas Day this
week season against So all.
Speaker 5 (29:19):
Right, we're gonna take a break.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
We're gonna try and get Trey in the twenty That's
what door set in I so we can make sure
you look, you know, we're not in the twenty six yet.
We got time. We got time to get a twenty s.
So we're gonna stay right here in twenty five, right,
go do that next. Jerry Jones had thoughts on George
Pickens on this radio show. Let's dive into what the
owner had to say.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Right back, I missed it.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
Okay, you said name it. We were talking about culture shifts.
Speaker 4 (32:10):
Okay, culture ships trace trace culture shift definition is a
little bit different than than where door set.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
And I think I mentioned New England during the break.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
Okay, here they are New England first place team right now,
eleven and two under Mike Rabel.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
You said name someone else.
Speaker 4 (32:24):
Okay, how about the Chicago Bears nine and four they
run off Matt Eberflus. Here they are nine and fourteen
beat the Cowboys oblivious up there this year.
Speaker 5 (32:33):
That's your second one. How about that?
Speaker 7 (32:35):
So with the cow with the Bears, they didn't start
building their culture the year before, even though Ebra Flues
was there. They didn't start getting those key components or
pieces there.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
Bro Let me tell you what they did, Like you
did you forget that Thanksgiving Day game when I.
Speaker 6 (32:48):
Don't forget that, But I mean.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
If we were terrible, they were remember to Washington. Game
got to do running around, letting the stands.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
They got the personnel level.
Speaker 5 (32:56):
It's an old shift.
Speaker 7 (32:57):
But no, that's that's building. That's proving my point of
starting the foundation of a culture.
Speaker 6 (33:01):
Change.
Speaker 7 (33:02):
That culture started to shift when you brought the personnel
in there. And what was the last thing that made
it go over the edge? Ahead, coach, right now you
started the shift. You had your head coach coming in
here bringing the energy. Now you're starting to get him
the players. Hey, the stuff is building.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
But they had Kayler Williams last year.
Speaker 8 (33:18):
I don't I don't know Chicago's conference that well, and
I don't think that they had an opportunity to have
a window open like the Cowboys still do in their
conference last year. And I don't think that they had
a chance to actually take take it into their own hands.
I believe that their record was did they win four
games last year?
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Of that it was bad year.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Okay, So we're.
Speaker 8 (33:40):
Talking about a team that has an opportunity to take
it by the horns themselves and create their own destiny
if they played properly in the games that they have
a chance to.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Chicago didn't have this chance last year. There wasn't a.
Speaker 8 (33:57):
Specale of hope for them to get into the playoffs
after they're six and six or whatever.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
The Cowboys they fired.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
The coach.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
In November, they fired him, They took it out the building,
they decided, man, we're pulling the plug on this thing.
Speaker 5 (34:10):
He's got to go.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
And they bring in Ben Johnson from Detroit and it's
a whole different outfit. Man, the defense of all these
Bear fans were complaining about, they're playing at a whole
different level. Caleb Williams, who was struggling, is out here
having a very good season. So there was a shift,
and it was clear that it happened the same thing
of New England struggling under Mayo. Man, they get Rabel
(34:34):
out here, they're challenging for the number one seed.
Speaker 6 (34:39):
Situation.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
Seeing that shift happened with Brian Schottenheimer the Cowboys. Are
you telling me that, because that, to me, that's the
culture shift. That's a coach in my mind, you're telling
me we're seeing that from the shoting in the Cowboys runner.
Speaker 7 (34:50):
When I said one, I didn't say the culture has
shifted completely. I said the foundation is there. You cannot
say that this is nothing there there's no foundation. If
there's no foundation, that means you have no roster. That
means you have no player. That means that you have
a bad environment and just a bad team overall.
Speaker 6 (35:06):
You have a Cleveland Brown situation. Going on.
Speaker 5 (35:09):
You do not have it found.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
You do a foundation.
Speaker 7 (35:12):
You have a quarterback one that can anything's possible with
Dak Another foundation, you have a good head coach, Shotty
who's proven that Hey running the offensive scheme. You have
the number one offense for a long period of time.
That's a foundation piece. Guess what you got three three
techniques in there right now that you have locked up
as far as Osa Clinny Clark and Quinn Williams. That
(35:32):
a franchise player. That is foundation. You have your defensive
coordinator that is here that has proven to you that
when he has gotten certain pieces there, he can run
things schematically that he wants. He doesn't have the corners
that he want here, he doesn't have the players all
that bought here that is there, but he does have
certain pieces that can build there.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
In some of these pieces who were here one twelve
games years you know, two years ago into Mike McCarthy,
they're a playoff.
Speaker 7 (35:55):
Team, different different different shot here with that and Shoy
didn't shot. He wasn't at the helms of that shot.
He wouldn't was shoddy. Did he have as much power
as far as the play calling abilities and doing all
that stuff he did taking the person.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
But you can't sit around here say the offense was
bad under Mike McCarthy. I mean, Dak Prescott finished second
the MVP just a couple years ago. So we're seeing
that they've had talent and they've had good years Offensively,
his Brian Shott and Hard made it a better offensive
scheme by running the ball.
Speaker 7 (36:24):
I would agree with him there, and that's building. But
that's building, That's all I said. I didn't say everything
was changing, because when that culture shift changed, you are right,
like you said off air, that's when you go to
the championships.
Speaker 6 (36:35):
That's when you.
Speaker 7 (36:35):
Actually start seeing you in the playoffs and you could say, hey,
the culture has shifted, but there is something that you
know being on that sideline, when you sit there and say, hey,
we're not the same.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
The culture shifted.
Speaker 7 (36:45):
When Dak Prescott had in the press conference, he said, hey, man,
we haven't been getting what we've been getting. When I
looked over there and seen Quentin Williams telling them we
can go win this game and we can fight, that
sparked a fire and me. That made me go talk
to the office and we had a come back. That
is somebody initiating the culture shift, so it's starting to change.
Speaker 6 (37:05):
Your foundation.
Speaker 8 (37:05):
Has always been the guy to say the right thing.
Give him that you know, the wrong.
Speaker 7 (37:11):
It's not that he said the wrong things, but Dak
has been a guy that will let you know, like, hey,
I'm gonna say the right things, but then he'll be
like that, ain't it? Or eventually we got to start
calling the spade a spade?
Speaker 6 (37:21):
Is he not?
Speaker 5 (37:23):
I just want to know when I said something that
was wrong.
Speaker 6 (37:26):
I'm saying not say something.
Speaker 5 (37:27):
I don't have any issues with Dak Prescott's leadership.
Speaker 7 (37:30):
I don't have any issues with his leadership. But I
think he's done a good job of calling players out
or saying certain things that you can't have or not
going to tolerate.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
I think Dak has gone the Troygman route of making
sure he doesn't put anyone on blast and he's not
giving anyone bulletin board material and even in the face
of like the defense playing not playing up to par him,
come out and say I believe in these guys and
I gotta do more. I mean, I think to me,
Dak is on a whole different level of not even
(38:00):
having this guy does it all right.
Speaker 7 (38:02):
And that's and that's all I'm saying. When you say foundation, foundation.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
When you said that, you just said not. I'm just
trying to tell you what did he said it wasn't right.
Speaker 7 (38:10):
So I said that the wasn't that. He said that
there's no foundation and it's not here. He said, there's nothing.
He said, these are the same cowboys. But I brought
up Dak and I told him and I said that,
did you not say you said the whole the whole point.
I said that they have a foundation to combat what
you say. You said, the culture has not shifted here.
I have not seen no change, have you not?
Speaker 4 (38:32):
But I'm staying on Dak Prescott, where you made a
comment that made it sound as though Dak Prescott at
times or at one point in time was not on
board and did or said something that wasn't wasn't in
the leadership capacity.
Speaker 6 (38:45):
I didn't say that. No, you're moving the needle.
Speaker 5 (38:47):
Now, Okay, then what did you say about that?
Speaker 7 (38:49):
The initial It doesn't even matter what I said about that,
because you're picking out little bitty stuff but the whole thing. Okay,
you're right, So let's let's let's let's crat that because
I'm gonna keep talking to you about what we were
talking about the statement and not being a troll. You
said that there was no culture here, like the culture
is not. They haven't that's why they can't win these games.
And I said, I beg to differ. I see the
(39:10):
culture starting to shift. And you said shift. What do
you mean by shift? I said, they have a foundation
and you said what foundation do they have? I said,
they've shown you things that are different, as far as
the coach, as far as the quarterback and the players
that they brought in. I don't think they're gonna win
this year. Next year, I think they actually do have
a possibility, just like he said in the group text,
Oh they gonna be something next year once they get
(39:31):
some dbs. It's a foundation here.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
Okay, okay, you know what, man, we just go end
it on the foundation again. Twenty twenty six, many sid
what's the super Bowl at.
Speaker 5 (39:40):
Next is La? Not this year's San fran next year
twenty twenty se.
Speaker 6 (39:45):
Y'all know they're not going this year.
Speaker 5 (39:46):
I know, I know.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
So so all right, man, we got Trey on here,
young Tray Moore. Appreciate you. Anthony Yorke said, thank you.
I'm going to he scrigg Chris being produced this Bad Boy,
We'll do It Again tomorrow right here on Dallas Cowboys
