Speaker 2 (00:03):
We absolutely adore this man. He's got a brand new single,
Different Kind of Love. It's out now and he's called
a national tour. You can grab tickets to his Sydney
show at Conrad saw Dot store. It's the magnificent Conrade store.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
What the money? Thank you guys. It's good to be back.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Where have you been overseas? And how is life? Give
us an update?

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Mate?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
So much has happened?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Did your job?

Speaker 4 (00:25):
I moved back to La I'm a dad of two?
What which is just nuts?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Congratu you had that.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
You didn't tell me how hard it was. You sent
me to the trenches.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I meant to mention that part you.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Think the second one is easier because you've had the
first one, and go.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Yeah, were one of my friends told me. He said, listen,
having kids wasn't the worst decision I ever made. But
it's definitely in the grand final. That's how we describe it.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
But Conrad, how those moments where you go, I don't
know how I'm going to get through the next ten minutes.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
More For me, more, it's it's when you're when you've
had a big night and you wake up and it's like,
how is today going to end? Right? And how am
I going to get from here to get through the day.
But in saying that, it's also the greatest thing in
the world. That's the thing about it, you know. I mean,
it's like it's it's the hardest but the most beautiful
rewarding thing ever.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Yeah, it's a whole new chapter. You are you need Hollywood?
Are you near Hollywood?

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Yeah? I'm in West Hollywood. Yeah, So well, Hollywood, I'm
not in the thick of it anymore. Like I'm not
like in the scene anymore. I'm a bit like a
bit behind the grove, you know, the in the little
cottage with the kids.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
I spend a lot of time at parks. Yeah, thing,
I mean you can do.

Speaker 4 (01:36):

go to Coldwater Canyon Park and the people you can
meet there. I tell you what, if you're looking for
an agent or a manager, just just hang out at
the park.

and play songs, a song song song with the snakes.
But you are playing a little bit of football over there,
a bit of soccer. Five a side in l A
and Kate Richie is about to play for the men
I Hawks, first time she's ever been in a team.
Have you got any advice for her?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Just watch your ankles. I don't say someone, just be careful.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
It's about that's that's the most like five a side
is just an accident waiting to happen, especially when you're
getting old. Okay, not that you're getting old, but not
that you'll get you look beautiful. I'm saying, you know,
my legs are getting old, and I've done my ankle
three times since playing.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, well, I.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
Don't think I haven't thought about that, and I've been worried,
which is why I had to wait for the logis
to be over last night so that at some point
over the next few weeks there will be a game
because I.

Didn't want to have to wear a moon boot on
the Red Huge.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
