Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the fitsy and with her with Kate Richie podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Do you want a bit of an entertainment update? Do
you know who?

Speaker 3 (00:07):
I'm a very big fan of his Emma Watson, not
only in Hermione Granger days, but just as an adult.
She's so classy.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
Was she classy? When she was at Burning Man? I
just saw it? Did she?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
She just went to I think so surely not my Emma.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
It was. I'll send you a video there was And
it was weird because she was on a dance floor
and there was all these guys just ogling over o God,
burning Man.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Remember remember what's in the old Harry Potter left with
a what who you know?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
No?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
No, No, it's her last name, Emma, Emma Watkins very
close yes, and also reddish readish are no.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
No one knows who Emma Wiggles, what her surname.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Is, well they do. I've seen her.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
In like real life, in just like in a cafe,
like a real person, and I've met I've met her
so many times through work. But I was still excited
to see her, like my brain, my brain went, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
My goodness, that's Emma Wiggle.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Anyway, let's get back to Emma Watson. She handles herself
very well. Apparently she's opened up about her current perspective
on JK. Rowling, meaning she was asked about it because
they've had a rift for years over the author's controversial
views on trans people. We remember when JK came out
and said some things years ago now, But Emma's handled.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Herself very well. This is what she had to say.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I really don't believe that by having had that experience
and holding the love and support and views that I have,
means that I can't and don't treasure Joe. That's JK rolling,
by the way. That confused me and the person that
I had personal experiences with. I think I just think
she always speaks so well. She's just I mean, she
kind of answered it without answering it and acknowledging that

(02:09):
they had some time.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Together and moved on over.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
You're gonna love this one. I've got a whole sheet
of information here about what Cardi was Cardi B.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
We love Cardi B. Do we she's loose?

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Es?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Have you got any audio of Kate Ritchiere doing your
best Cardi b impersonation? This little gar.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Could be my favorite line from pop culture ever. Kate
B clothing range Kate B. Oh, it might.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Be no, ye B Yeah, Can I just let you know?
Doing the show from New York, as we've mentioned, and
we're here on Saturday and it's mum's seventy seventh birthday.
Tommy flicks through a message yesterday and says, Cardi B's
performing in Central Park. Do you want to do?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
You want to take your mom and dad alone?

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Imagine Christine on Tom's shoulders at a Cardi B concert.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Oh, that would be so fun. Make sure you take
plenty of Cardi B.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
I'm not going to google how you get your bottom pierced,
but apparently you can get it pierced.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
What do you mean your bottom?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
She's had her bottom pierced.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
I don't know if it means you put a study
in the bottom, like in the cheek, or whether there's somehow.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I don't know. Anyway, you've got the whole.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Week telling about a front bottom.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
K No.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
If she was, she would say front bottom? What do
you mean front bottom? No?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Not that, No, anyway, she's had it. I could explain it,
but I will let Cardi She does it so brilliantly.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Here.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
She is the type of my like that skin part
is like numb. So when I appiers my same fellow,
it was the easiest piercing ever. It caused me like
thirteen thousand dollars. But then I realized it was like
hold on, and I was like, oh. Then I was
looking around. I was looking at my pants and my
panties and stuff, and I'm like, yep, went down the toilet.
They said they were going to reform to on the

(04:00):
on the on the piercing, so I don't.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
My least favorite word of all time. And then.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
So I'm not any clearer about how you get the piercing.
But she had it done, and because she's had a
bottom reduction, apparently the top of her bottom is quite numb,
so the piercing wasn't painful. She spent thirteen thousand dollars
in diamonds. It fell down the toilet. I mean, that's
me unpacking it.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
For a mess? What a mess? Does she have a tail?
I don't understand. You just pinched the skin at the
top of your crack and then piercing.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
I don't you know, I don't I don't know. Anyway,
You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Didn't you pierce your nipple once?

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Me?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:42):
I did, and do you know what I feel upset about.
I don't know why I did that. I'm actually quite
proud of myself that I did because it was it
was unmib and.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
I still have the little bar in a jar on
next to my los Why do you still have that?
Because I cannot believe that I did it. But there's
a little part.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Of me that's somewhat disappointed because even though I was
a grown woman, I joined the radio show with American
Rosso and I just so desperately wanted to fit in,
and so I went against all my babies.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Crack oh.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Now, do you know what.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
I don't know what New York's done to you, but
that is highly inappropriate and I'm going to make you
have two weeks off now.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
