Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Fitting and Whipper with Kate Richie podcast.
This is one of the most intense moments I think
I've ever heard. You've got to have a listen to this.
The bloke who's is up on charges for the fatal
shooting of someone fits and he's there and there's six
counts that he's been called on and as you can imagine,
a guilty verdict if this man has shot someone fatally

(00:21):
means he is off to prison for a very very
long time. He said that he was innocent and then
finally the verdict was played out in front of the courtroom.
Have a listen to what happened here. Could you imagine
being the person accused?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
The jury fine that Fennet guilty as to all six
council of the indoor of in datement, I'm sure for
including us to peace council over who's the jury fine
that Fennant not guilty.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
On six counts.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
I apologize from this pronunciation.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Mispronunciation. You left the word out mate. There's three crucial
letters that you missed out one word that sort of
changed things. So the bloke what an emotional rollercoaster. He's
there with his mum and his lawyer and he's thinking,
I'm locked up man for Tom, I'm gone see you later.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I'm out of here.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
What about the jury, the reaction from the jury.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
What.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
No, We've just sat in the room and we all
said not.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Guilty, guilty. What have you done here?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Mate?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I'm sorry about that.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
This is the Fitting and Whipper with Kate Richie podcast.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
Let's talk about an influencer. She's a small business owner
as well. She's going her own dress high business. Oh
my gosh, these have saved me because there's no way
I'm paying full toad for a dress.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
God, its like Ferrari formal higher.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Well it is. It's a great idea.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
Anyway, she was wearing this beautiful dress whip with a
silk scarf. Butat we've just learned something today as well,
which is also known as a jew patter, a jew patter,
which is sort of I don't think it's the same
I don't think it's the same size as.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
A silk scarf, but it's still a piece of material
that you have around your neck. Traditional beautiful dress. So
she was wearing it out now.

Speaker 6 (02:21):
On her Instagram page, she said remove your neck scarves
before entering or.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Operating any heavy machinery.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
It don't.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
She's nearly decapitated herself getting the scarf tangle underneath the
car on the way home. The dress had me in
a Chokehold. Have a look at the images here. Nelly
ripped her head off, she said, and you know what
that is scarred up with it's got worse and worse.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
And look at that, My god, it looks like she's
had a rope run around her neck.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Not even the Paris fielder can help me, she equipped.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
My spirits are still high, thriving and surviving well anneally, So.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Hang on a minute, what did she cause they're quite
long scars for anybody that doesn't know what it is.
So did she get in the car and not realize
the scarf was hanging out the door, then got caught
in the wheel or something.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
I'm not quite sure, or some it's got stuck in
the car somehow.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
What's weird is She then goes on to say, this
is the dress that nearly choked me, but she's styling
it as if attempting to sell it.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Yes, well, let's address high business mate. Well I wouldn't
mind using it. I don't want to be obviously decapitated.
But that is a beautiful dress.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
Give us a call, what have you? What is what's
got caught in machinery? Hare's a big one for ladies
and men. Yes, the old whisker, you know, the egg whisker. Yeah,
that's always a big one. Because I think tractors are
the same as well. Things get caught in tractors, lawn mowers.

(03:50):
Do you know what happens in the woodworking world if
you're on the tools. Let's take a lathe for a moment, right,
which spins very fast. You can have a metal or
you can have a wood lathe, and you have to
wear a hair net because what happens is if your
hair gets caught in that lathe, it will simply scalp you.

(04:12):
It'll it'll grab your hair and it'll rip the skin
from the top of your head.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Regular. Yeah, there's all sorts of cuts going on here.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Well, Katraina's given us a call from wings it what
got stuck? Katrina?

Speaker 5 (04:26):
I've got braids in my hair and I'm a truck
driver and my load with a ratchet strut and didn't
realize that I was actually ratcheting my hair as well.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Oh no, so it would have just become further and
further entwined in the ratchet.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Yeah, and I had to quickly like rip it out
before the boys saw it, because they would just give
me the cup.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
The ruined the braids.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
No, a little bit, but not enough.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Oh my god, Katrina. I had a auntie who was
a young girl and there was a haymill, and they
were from the country, and she fell into the haymill
and it sliced her legs straight off, just below the knee.
So they put her in the car to go to hospital.
They put her in the back seat and they put
her leg with the shoe and the sock on it,
in the other seat and put the seat better around it,
and off they went.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
So they built it up the leg here they did.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
They didn't just throw it in the boot. They put
a seat bet around it. She was just across from
her leg and they went up to the hospital. Couldn't
get it back on.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
VICKI on the Central Coast. What got stuck?

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Vick?

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Well, when I was a kid, I had long hair
and my mum always said, tied up before I do
the washing with the old agitator washing machine. Yeah, and
there's a ringer at the top and sure enough I
didn't tie the hair up, and the hair went into
the ringer and I just in time reached over and

(05:53):
flipped this lever at the end of the ringer to
release the levers.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
So that what a scout?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
What a scalp jack?

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Oh? I know my face ended up against the rollers.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Oh my god, Vic, something out of the horror film Tommy.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
We've put you through the ringer a few times. Yeah,
you how do you end up? Yeah? Absolutely, rinsed completely.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Ringer.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yes, but I did ask for it, so you know,
that's you make your bed. Angus in fair Field, what
happened to you? Angers?

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Good? What's going on?

Speaker 7 (06:29):
I was building a small toilet flock and when I
was cutting in the rafters by circular saws kicked up
and took the top half my finger off.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Oh no.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Good.

Speaker 7 (06:40):
So I was pretty lucky that it only went about
eighty percent of the way through noon back together.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Right, That kept the blood float, Angus. You know when
you're see the movies, if the top of a finger
comes off, they kind of in shock. They lifted up
and the blood's just spurting straight into the air. Do
you have much blood coming out of a buddy.

Speaker 7 (07:04):
Yeah, yeah, it was pretty similar. It got wrapped up
in the teatail pretty quickly, but yeah, there was a
lot of blood everywhere.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Well.

Speaker 6 (07:12):
See Nick Maxwell was a player for Collingwood and they
catch up every year and have a Premiership reunion with
catch up with the boys that he played with, and
they bring a good bottle of wine each year.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Yeah, and he was cutting off the wax off the
top of.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
Bottle of wine while he was having a chat to
his teammates and the knife went straight through his hand.
I didn't know there was an artery in your hand,
in between your thumb and your index finger.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
And he said, that was spurting up. It hit the roof.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
Oh no, it was spurting up, and so he had
to go home. So he was there to celebrate with
his teammates and he had to go home at the start.
Didn't even get the taste any of good wine.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Well, there was a guy the other day in a
cycling accident around here and his come off his bike.
He's float around a corner, he skidded, his come off
his bike, he hit a road sign and he was
lying on the ground and he went, oh God. One
of his blokes and his mates that were there with him,
but they were trying to work out where the blood
was coming from. He couldn't work it out, where's the blood?

(08:10):
Where am I injured? Where's the cut? And he's looking
at his legs and then he looked down to see
where the blood was. He'd sliced his thumb off, so
the roadside sign had cut his thumb clean off.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
And he didn't know.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
I had no idea. No, it was in shock, trying
to think, Oh God, this is a mess. What's happened
to here?

Speaker 4 (08:29):
So he couldn't hit chhark his way home.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
No, No, he couldn't, couldn't plack the guitar. There's a
whole lot of things he couldn't do anymore. No one knew.
He couldn't send the thumbs up, well yeah you are.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
You are right mate, and he couldn't. He couldn't reply,
I didn't know. I mean, go on top just quickly.
Ash has a has a much shock a machine. What
have you got?

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Oh, it would have been something in the gym Ash
tread it was.

Speaker 8 (08:51):
It wasn't me personally, but a mate of mine who
I ride with. He has had quite a few cycling
accidents during one of which he actually had a stick
go through his eye.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
No he didn't.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
He crashed the bike.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
What like a twig? No, gone ash?

Speaker 8 (09:12):
Yeah yeah he you well, he's got like a bake
iron Albert.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah. Can he take it out?

Speaker 2 (09:20):
No?

Speaker 8 (09:20):
No, no, I've not seen him do that.
