Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the City and with Kate Richie Podcast World.
I'm Lynn mcgrange Jack.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Thank you guys, thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
You're our girl. We know you know we love you
to pieces Lynn, And this just felt right, didn't it.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Oh? Do you know? I was just talking to our Kate,
our publicist, and saying, for me, the biggest shock because
everyone told me I was going to win the gold
and you go, well, I hope you're right because I'm
going to feel like a big goose if I don't.
But the biggest shock was the silver. I mean I
was I could not believe it. I you know, I

(00:40):
was in such insane company and it's all my god.
The woman is an absolute queen and that to me
was the biggest shock of the night. And then you know,
winning the gold was absolutely the icing on the cake.
I loved. I loved every minute of it. That the

(01:00):
dress was possibly.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
It was just it was term.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
I loved it. But it's only Haud have been popped
in a corner all night, I would have been fine.
I had to just keep moving around.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Yeah, the story can't get any better, because you know what, Lenn.
We also got to see a promo for Irene on
Home and Away in the last two weeks on there,
and I got emotional just watching that. So we were watching,
you know, waiting for you with a silver logan and
the gold logi, and then we're seeing promos for Home
and Away. You just cannot finish your television career in

(01:38):
a better way, can you live?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
No, no, darling, you can't, or you're making me all tearing. No,
you absolutely can't. It's like all my worlds have collided,
you know, including the Grandparents' Club of course, because we're
taking that on tour again, and everything is collided, and
my stars have aligned, and you know, after seventy two years,

(02:00):
body time really but in terms of my stars aligning,
but it was it was glorious and having my daughter
there meant the world to me, and it was just
it was truly wonderful, and it was great to get
a chance to talk about the importance of free to
wear television. That was great. And I'm not a very

(02:22):
political creature, and I'm not sure, you know, if I
made sense in my head, i made sense, but I'm
hoping I did it. It's just so important. It's beautiful
that we keep this this bubble afloat that you know,
we don't let aid television overwhelm us.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Lynn can ask a question, do you actually watch Home
and Away? Do you ever watch it?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
You know? I for Ages and Ages. I didn't because
I wouldn't be home in time, and you know, Paul
might have it on in the background while he was
making dinner or something, but I'd be out working. I
wouldn't get home till eight, And occasionally I'd say, look,
can you take something something? You know, this one's one

(03:06):
I'd like to see it. But since I've been a
free woman and not when I'm not touring, I have
been following Irene storyline because I was really really kind
of invested in it and I wanted us to be
able to tell a great story about some woman suffering
with our simons. And so at the moment I am

(03:28):
watching it, and I'm really really proud of everything of
my beautiful co workers. I mean, Aida and Shane Whittington
have been and Emily Simon and Ray you know all
of them. What about Tell?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
What about the after party? Eileen? How did what did
you do afterwards? Did everyone at the Home and Away
cruise stick around and kick on?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I don't know, Darling, I went to bloody bed. Oh yes,
But what I did was I had to go to
the media room afterwards, where there's all these people sitting
there in front of their laptops for their microphones, with
their eyeballs hang and out of their swishing that the
world would go away, and just wanting to neck the

(04:14):
nearest bottle of anything, but they can't because they haven't
quite finished their job. And I was there probably for
I don't know, maybe forty five minutes, right, And then
the time I left there it was quarter past one stamped.
My daughter had already gone back to the room, and

(04:35):
I just went. I ran into Aida and James, who
had gone up to the room and got changed, and
I thought they were leaving the party. Turns out no,
they were going to the party.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
They were warming room Servicely, did you get some rooms?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Did you get some room service?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
No? I didn't, Darling. I fell into bed with my
hair pieces on, grape off the spec filler, and just
fell face first into the pillow and woke up this
morning with you know, the shroud of turin on the pillar.
And honestly I was but after four hours sleep, I

(05:18):
think I'm making some sort of seed.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
You're doing a great job, Lynn, and we couldn't be prouder.
We love you so much and you deserve it, so
we're so glad that it went to you. At the
end of the Night World one Lynn, Thank.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
You, Freda, and thank you guys for your unwavering and
endless support. I cannot tell you how much I love
you and how much it's appreciated.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Always go the swanis well done.

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
