Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the fits in with Her with Kate Richie
podcast Swanny. We need to talk about what gen Z
and this is blown up on TikTok, what they're into
when it comes to making sure they look busy around
the office. It's called task masking. Task masking, Okay, great,
I've got a pin out because I need to learn
from gen Z. They've got all the answers. Plus they've

(00:21):
had a look around and they'll tell you they've got
all the answers as well. They've been told to come
back into the office. They don't want to come back
into the office. They don't understand why would I need
to be the office when I can do it all
from home. So task masking is making sure that yes, okay,
if I'm in the office, I'm going to look busy,
but I'm not actually doing anything. They're all pretty standard.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah, if you if you can learn that Art.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
And I see a lot of the exec team here
at Nova. They walk as simple as walking around with
a pad of paper. Yeah, gotcha, ye, And that the
modern day version of that Swanny is a laptop under
the arm, Just tuck it under a wing, walk the floor,
say hello to a few people, keep the chat short
and keep moving on with your laptop on your arm

(01:05):
and if we fine love it.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Another one that I found in the office. If you
can get yourself one of those those phone receivers that
the microphone that comes out like Madonna.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
I was going to say that you can get them.
They're just like a little tiny piece and you put it.
You don't even need to talk to You've got that
in too busy. Do you know what I was trying
to work out? Straight away? Can you buy fake air
buds so you could just put them in your ears
and then when someone goes to talk to you go sorry,
just on the phone. Yeah, you could.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
People don't know whether you are you could put a
couple of cashews in your ears.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
No one would. This is the fits In with Her
with Kate Richie podcast. Tell Me what do you make
of this? A zoo in Denmark has asked the local
Denmarkians to donate pets as food to the zoo. What
so They've put a post on Facebook saying that if

(02:01):
you have a pat that's sort of nearing the end
of their life, you reckon, you can give it to
the sus so we can feed it to our animals.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Give me a break. So, like, what any type of
animal like your dog.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Well, reading this is quite interesting because it starts off
by saying, if you've got any chickens, any rabbits, or
maybe you've got a guinea pig that you're not really
into anymore, look we'll come and pick it up. And
then see that line over there in the corner of
the enclosure. He's gonna love a bit of guinea for dinner. Dinner.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
No, that is not how you know if you've got
a greyhound that's obviously not performing on the track, Well.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Here we go, there's a tiger enclosure. I suppose you
just throw the greyhound in and let it go. What's
weird about this because they've said, if you have any
animal that is to leave life for various reasons, feel
free to donate this to us. So what they've said
is the animals are gently euthanized, euthanized by the training

(02:59):
stuff and then afterwards uses food. So they've said it's
really healthy for the animals at the zoo to experience
real meat like you would in the natural food chain
of life.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Give me a break. Do you get a little plark
or something?

Speaker 1 (03:13):
You know?

Speaker 2 (03:14):
And people We spoke about this recently, where the councils
had to stop people putting plarques on local benches because
that's where people love to sit. That's right. I mean,
if you donate your pet, can you just have you know,
in the line enclosure, is there a little plark there
that says speaking ghound?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Yeah? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Fifteenth of May we dropped Rover off and he was
gobbled up within two minutes.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
He ran around for a while, he tried to keep up,
but a pack of lines unfortunately ripped him to shreds.
So not only as you said fits when you said
what animals do? They accept chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs.
That's what they list at the start of it. Then
the post goes on to say the zoo's website explained
that it also gratefully accepts live horses. What if you've

(04:02):
got a pony in the backyard and you're thinking, oh
my god, this donkey really is costing me too much
in carrots per week. Here, donkey, I'm just going to
ride you for one last time down to Tarronga. Everything's
going to be all right. I'll be getting an uber
home and you just stay here with our friendly lions.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Oh, I don't know if you have to do the
saund effects mate.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
I mean you would think if you were. I mean
if this did a play here in Australia. It's a
crazy idea and the backlash has been huge. Got our
neighbors have got a dog. I'm sort of thinking if
it went missing, who would really be too concerned if
you've got an annoying dog as a neighbor, Jess, don't

(04:46):
roll your eyes at me. You would, we do, But
I would never take it and feed it to a lion.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Well it's not your dog. You just can't take somebody else's.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
You just wouldn't know.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
See, they're not They're going about this the wrong way
by asking the public to give up a beloved pet.
What they should do is go to Ramwick on a Saturday,
go to the owner's enclosure and just pick the guy
that's sitting there with his hands in his head, on
his head, just going oh my god, this horse. I'm
over it, ye on over it. That's where you find

(05:17):
your next feed for the line enclosure.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Or you bring the line to the track and it
can actually make the horses run faster than I've ever
run before. Now that's a good race. Now that'd be interesting.
