How are you feeling about it?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yeah, it's It's a nice responsibility to have. I've always
sort of embraced it and every time I get on
the world stage, it's always representing your people.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Here for you, buddy, Timmy.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
I don't want you to knock me out, but if
I stand next to you, am I around the same
hid as Ferndora. I think he's tall, So I'm one
hundred and ninety nine centimeters.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
I'm six six.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I think he's Yeah, he's taller than that.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
That's an easy body leading up to the fight.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
I mean, you can use me as a punching bag
if you want actually fighting against tool guys to get
a bit more of an idea.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah, so I brought in a few boys from from
the United States and also New Zealand and a couple
of local boys just like tall. Yeah, same home.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
What about afterward? How does a boxer let his hair down? Tim?
Are you one of those that likes to go through
McDonald's drive? Actually crazy afterwards?
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I wouldn't say too crazy. I'd like to I like
to eat out a little bit. Some people like to
get on the pit, so I'm not not much like that.
Usually a lot of my friends from overseas come to
my fight, so they celebrate for the reunion and then
they know what to do.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
What about growing up in a boxing house? Like what
I mean?
Speaker 4 (01:55):
Boxing would have been from the day you were born, obviously,
But what are some of the things you saw? Even
techniques your old man used to do.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
There was something where he used to put his hands
into ball bearings. Yeah, what was that?
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Well, look, for us, it was five fifteen am wake up,
time to go for a run. Yeah. Well not everyone.
My brother and sister copped it a little bit less.
My dad was a little bit softer with them, but yeah,
for me it was.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
But that's discip Like I mean, when you look back
now at the time it.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Probably you probably would have thought it was the worst
thing ever. But the discipline that you have now of
course started for me.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, of course. And I remember I lost in my
cross country run when I was in year three, and
I came back and my dad was like ashamed of me,
you know, like Dad, I came second.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
It's cross country country, first loser.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
That's when the alarm bell started running fifteen am. I'll
never forget it. And then yeah, it came first ever since.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
I mean, you've got a bit of a team where
you can see them in the news booth there. I don't
know if you've bought a gear with you, but I'm
just thinking, apparently I.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Was a big guy. Well yeah, fits you put your
hand up before it would make sense.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
I was only joking to kind of practice or warm up.
Speaker 3 (03:04):

ever copped a liver punch on the Yeah, I have,
and it.
Speaker 2 (03:13):

Speaker 2 (03:21):
So this is the body shield, So this is what
your trainer will wear. The whole team's laughing at this.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
So where are you aiming for in the body shop?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Sweet for you, I like to go on the left hand,
So that's that.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
So that's that's up into the ribs, yes, under the
liver kidney.
Speaker 3 (03:41):

Speaker 1 (03:44):

Speaker 3 (03:48):

Speaker 2 (03:51):
So the sternum is where you can win somewhere, isn't that?
That's the wind?
Speaker 1 (03:56):

Speaker 2 (04:01):
What down a little bit?
Speaker 1 (04:06):
