An irishman has thanked rescuers who saved his life after
he miraculous, miraculously survived a six hundred feet full down
an active volcano in Indonesia. What that's two hundred meters.
He's fallen down the side. Not all of it was steep,
but he's rolled, rolled, rolled, and then he's gone off

the edge. They thought he was gone. Paul Farrell was
thirty one years of age. So they have sent down
some rescuers down the side of the cliff. They've got
to the bottom. They found Paul Farrell at the bottom
with a few minor injuries to his shoulder. He'd cut
his shoulder a little bit, but apart from that, that

was all that was wrong with him. And he was
smoking a cigarette thanking his rescue rescuer rescuers for coming
down to get him.

Then he would have I mean they would have been
a bit crushed. That was the other thing that wasn't

a volcano and he survived it. That's crazy.

Do you remember that family? Where was it initially or
somewhere and they've gone to take photos up a volcano
and there's a roped off area where there's a hole
and it's sort of bubbling away. Mum and dad go
under the roped off area to get the kids to
take a photo. What do you think happens?

What happened?

The side gave way and mum and dad fell into
the balling lava in front of the kids.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Unfortunate desk didn't even read that poor one yesterday of
the surfer thirty six years ago, she'sish with the swordfish.
She was surfing a wave kate in Indonesia, a remote
Indonesian island, and a swordfish jumped out of the water

and just happened to hit her and impaled her heart
as she was surfing the wave. Steve Irwin, It's crazy,
how the odds of that?

Oh my god, I know what you mean, especially when
you then compare it with a story of an irishman
falling two hundred meters and surviving, and then on the
other hand you've got chance.
