Speaker 2 (00:06):
Kate Richie, We're going to the Friday podcast Weekend is here.
How good is this? Hey, I'm going to blow your
mind today. In the podcast with.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Beatboxing over the years, we know, I mean, it's just
every year it gets better and better.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
But there are world championships and.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Continents get together to see who is the best beat
box champion? Asia has done it weep and there's a
guy called Wing loves his chicken wings.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
And he's the best in the world. Is he?
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Dude? This guy is going to freak you out?
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Can I try?
Speaker 5 (00:38):
I don't think beatbox is very hard because quite often
they put their hand up.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
There in the mouth.
Speaker 6 (00:48):
Sounds like you're choking on the food.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Wow, you do it, But this foss machine is not worthy. Jesse,
you have a goo? What is that?
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Looks like you're trying to pick your nose?
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (01:10):
This go Wing is better than us.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Do What about Jesus for this guy?
Speaker 7 (01:19):
Now?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Well he's released a single, no instruments, just his mouth.
This will blow your mind. Wing the Asian beatbox champion.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
In the podcast This is the Fitzi and Whibber with
Cape Ritchie podcast.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
Talking floods, guys in the devastation ash just keeping us
abreast of all all the updates out of Tari in
the mid North coast that has been confronting to hear.
Three people have lost their lives and others missing. At
this stage fits.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Well over a hundreds and hundreds of millimeters of run
along the east coast.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Sampayne.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
We spoke to him a couple of days ago, Sunrise reporter.
He's up in Kempsey right now. Can you talk us
what talk us through what's happening up there?
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Sammy, Yeah, good morning guys.
Speaker 8 (02:00):
Well, the rain is actually dissipated, but now the main
problem is to do with the tides, the fast flowing
with the river and the water flowing down from the
upper catchments. Now that's reaching havoc on sounds like Kempsty
and Tarree. Those isolated, around fifty thousand are still isolated
from this flood water and those rescues there's been around
one hundred and seventy one, but that's not even counting
(02:20):
over the past twenty four hours. That's not even counting
locals helping out each other via boat. So a lot
of people are just sitting in their homes, their bottom
floors completely flooded, waiting for help.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Sammy, you're in Kempses, so you're north of Port Macquarie,
but in Tare is it still raining?
Speaker 8 (02:35):
Yeah, it is still raining at the moment because that
weather system is going to be trending south this morning, whipper.
It's understood though it will be dissipating hopefully that's what
the forecast is later today. But then they're just unclear
if this water will still stay this high?
Speaker 2 (02:49):
What was Sammy?
Speaker 3 (02:50):
So then how long will it take to get down into.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
New South Wales and cause some havoc down there.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
It doesn't look very good at all, sam over the
next few days.
Speaker 8 (02:59):
Yeah. Look, they're expecting to trend this morning and then
later today down furthest out of New South Wales the area.
But that's the main question. Is that the million dollar
question is how hard they storm will hit and when
it will But it's still unclear yet. Hopefully, I think
I'm believed to be this latest to that.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
So you look to the Tari area, I mean, emergency
service will just services will just continue to try and
rescue people from their homes.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Is that the play at the moment.
Speaker 8 (03:25):
Sam, That is the plan that's the plan of attack
the Premier Leavel but one of the biggest emergency deployments
have had in state's history. And there's obviously fees for
enough food and medication for these isolated residents. And it's
not even just Tari the town, right, it's around there,
these outskirts, these country properties that have been trying to
get the help. But obviously there's so many people that
need it.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
You know, the confronting thing too, Sam, we just have
to get that message out there once again because two
lives have been lost from people attempting to drive through floodwater.
So I mean that needs to be clearly spoken about
this morning.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Do not drive through floodwater.
Speaker 8 (03:59):
Definitely, And been of the situations at Coss Harbor a
bit yesterday evening. I went to a spot where a
woman tragically lost her life, and it was more the
point of the fear that you can't see the floodwater,
especially if you're driving in the dark, if you're driving
down a hill and there's a big patch, you don't
know that that is flooded. So there's just the advice
is to take care on the roads and obviously if
(04:19):
it's flooded forget it.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Thank you, Sammie, thank you, thank you, Sammy, appreciate it.
We know how busy you are.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
You actually did say to her Olie producer you texting
back the other day and said, I used to listen
to fitz in with so thanks for you used to
it a while ago.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
But do you still listen to a Sam or is
that sort of for a bit?
Speaker 8 (04:37):
But I used to listen to you guys on the
work site in my former life.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Yeah, be great if we could keep you on board, Sammy. Tommy,
can you organize a prise pack.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
For Sam's working breakfast.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
Tradeing his breakfast here, Tommy, get him some trading toilet
paper for.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
All your hard work and you love samur price coming
your way.
Speaker 8 (04:55):
Thank you having good one.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Ok take it easy, buddy.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
This is the Fitting In with Kate Rich podcast.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
I'm about to blow your mind whip and I don't
know if you've been. Some of the beatboxes around the
world are getting better and better. So these are the
noises that just come out of their mouth. That's the rules,
and I'm about to play for you the Asian beatbox Champion.
His name is Wing.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
He's Wing Wing and a prayer.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Okay, I like this.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Real name Gun Hoo Kim. He's South Korean. He's got
a very unique style. So he's just won the Asian
Beatbox Championships and he's released a song. It's called Dopamine.
Now I'm going to put him up on the screen
for you as well, just to show you that these
noises are coming out of his mouth. I played this
(05:44):
to my two boys, Huey and Lenny last night, and
they were looking at me going, oh, my dad, I've
got goosebumps. So this is beatboxing. This is a song.
He introduces the song here.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
It is the Bereansmightivision dr Transmitter.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
Open.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
I mean and.
Speaker 7 (06:04):

Speaker 2 (06:13):

Speaker 9 (06:18):
I mean the boom and the boom, the boom and
the wild and the boom, the boom and the boom
and the boom, and.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
I mean love it.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Wow, isn't it amazing?
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Do you know what? There's a group of guys.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
There's a group of guys similar to the Fits, and
they're all bay boxes, I mean carry And what they
do is they'll make a sound, it could be crunching
up a bit of paper, and then they'll get them
to recreate that sound out of their mouth.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
This guy's a freak. Turn it up again?
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Yes, yeah, kick it in, don't.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
I mean he can only do it for about two
and a half minutes because then he just runs out
of salion.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
He reminds me of earlier in the week we heard
jesse j do a little bit of beatboxing, and I
think it was quite similar.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
No, she put her own spin on price tag. Yeah,
you love that day.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
That's all.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Can we turn turn turn wing up again? That's amazing
that Dom Dollar.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
Dom Dollar could be listening to that, going, Oh man,
he's doing it without the decks. He's doing that without
the decks. I'm in real trouble, Tommy. He's almost as
good as you. Why don't you give us a little
bit of beat boxing? Because you did how many years a.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Beat box you.
Speaker 6 (08:25):

wing if.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
You can just give it.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Good on your Lois, love it. Have a great weekend.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
We'll go you can you guys, this is the Fitz
and Whipper with Cape Ritchie podcast.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
An artist by the What is it is? Talois Swift.
Taylor Swift, Yeah, Taylor Swift, Taylor. I've got some huge
news here.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Taylor Swift will finally have the chance to buy back
the original recordings of her first six albums.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Now, this is coming from Saurces. Guys.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
I don't know if it's barbecue or tomato. It is
a source that we all love. So Swift had bad
blood with Scooter Braun. Now you would know this story.
Scooter Braun brought her old catalog in twenty nineteen for
(20:07):
four hundred and sixty six million dollars. That's why she
went and re recorded all of Taylor's versions because she
wasn't happy with Scooter. I didn't know this, but Scooter
Braun sold her a year later for how much undisclosed whip.
I don't know, but he would have obviously made a
lot of money. He bought it for four sixty six,
but he sold it to a company by the name
(20:30):
of Shamrock Capital. Right, they've obviously paid a lot more
for it. And then after her last world tour, how
much is it worth now, because this is the thing.
Apparently Scooter is now feeling bad for buying it first
of all, and is telling Shamrock Capital you need to
sell it back to her.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
But they're saying now it could.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Be in the ballpark of one to one point five
billion dollars.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
See, I was torn on this because of like you said, Fitz,
once Scooter Braun had all the rights, she went and
re recorded all of them. So that's why it will
say blank space Taylor's version.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Yeah, but she if she buys, If she buys, if
she owns both old and new recordings of her song,
she stands to make the line share of publishing royalties
from both. She will have full control over her own catalog, right,
and she'll be able to I mean she then gets
to say over licenses, commercials, film, TV, political rallies.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
She can put her foot down. Because this is the thing.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
You know what Donald Trump could have walked out to
a song off of you know any of those Well
we're talking Taylor Swift Feelers speak now read nineteen eighty
nine and reputation, and then he could have gone to
Shamrock Capital and said, well can I use this? And
if they were Trump fans, they could have gone, Yeah,
you can up to her if.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
You remove all emotion, right, which is impossible to do
in Tailor's situation. But if you think about it, and
she has to spend one point one billion dollars buying
back her rights, you would you would question whether that
was a great investment because is she going to make
over a billion dollars from owning those rights and she
already has her own versions that she can still use.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Of course she use.
Speaker 4 (22:26):
Dollars.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
What if she gets to the age of sixty, right,
and she's not going to tear anymore, she's not going
to make music anymore, and then she.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Could sell she could sell those rights.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
We're talking up to ten billion dollars in twenty years time.
Whip easily, because twenty five years time be worth a fortune.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Jess has put her finger up with some infie.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
I mean, I think controversially losing the songs in the
first place just absolutely made her career go into the stratosphere.
We wouldn't have the eras to her if we didn't
have the Tailor's versions, we wouldn't be stepping back through
each era of her career. No one would really care
as much as they do now in getting them the
older songs, but with the Vault tracks as well.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
Can I see Scooter Braun fan over here? I love
Scoo just is across.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
This with me to fit. You haven't been brought across it.
Speaker 5 (23:13):
But we were more me given an offer the other
day for the rights to brand Man and Riddle Time
now from Scooter Braun. Yeah, it started with take them
started with a B which was bucks, and I said
twenty should be fine. So Whippers version will now be
(23:33):
released when it comes to brand Man.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Riddle Time Whippers version, yes, the one that's unfortunately fails everywhere.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
We need Jessics version.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
I'll pay you to take it off.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
