Gavin Newsom slams Rogan, calls him "the Facebook of podcasting"

Okay, So did you see Gavin Newsom was calling out
Joe Rogan. He was on CNN's debut episode of the
Story Is with Alex Michaelson.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Well the story Is is the name of the show,
and Alex Michaelson is the name of the host.

That's correct.

Okay, very good.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
So you know, Gavin Newsom has been denied by Joe
Rogan many times. He hasn't been on, and now Gavin
Newsom says that, you know what, he's okay with that,
he's moving on.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
He wanted to. Look, he hasn't for years and years.
He's been attacking me, and it's one way and he
won't have me on. He's consistently not by the way,
I'm moving on. I have no interest.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
You're done with him.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Joe Rogan's the Facebook of podcasting. He was sitting across
one of the brightest minds in podcasting right now. The
guy was in the mic and there are a lot
of people at the mic doing extraordinary things and podcast
a pretty big audience. Still, you know what, but with
all due respect, if he has a big audience. And
but he doesn't have big enough confidence. I didn't go

there to have me on. Well, you've called him a chicken,
but he's been attacking for But here's the thing. These
guys they all have something in common. It's one way.
They attack. They belittle, they demean, they take things out
of contract ease.

Yeah, okay, So what is the Facebook of podcasting? Let's
think about that. I understand Gavin, he's trying to insult
Joe Rogan. Facebook is still the most used social media
platform and it's located in California. It's a huge business,
which he is the governor of the state of Why
would he do that?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Well, and these guys like, there's a reason we don't
have politicians on our show very often. They're boring. I
think most people turn the channel with a politicians unless
there's some super hot button issue because they're boring. And
Gavin Newsom is boring. He is like made in a factory.
He's plastic man. And I love the fact as though
they believe they have some entire idlement or some right

to be on people's shows. And if I don't get
my way, then I'm just gonna come on here in badmouth.
You know what, Rogan is gonna be sitting around going geez,
I sleep on my palette of cash each night. I'm
very money, very very worried that Gavin Newsom doesn't like me,
and oh my gosh, I'm just gonna go. I'll show him.
I mean, I love that he's cutting a wrestling promo

on a podcaster and clearly so badly wants to go
on that show, but then says, oh, I don't. I
don't care people do that with me.

Is absolutely with Mike. Why wouldn't you do that? I
mean this, nothing's gonna get you fired up and attention.
You could be on Rogan or you could be on
that show that you can't even pronounce the name of.
But like, these politicians are the worst. They're insufferable and
they're boring and they kill ratings. And that's why, for
the most part, we just don't have them on
