Speaker 1 (00:00):
If you're never willing to stand up for yourself, people
will take advantage of you forever.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Why would you expect anyone else to stand up for you? Then?
Speaker 1 (00:10):
I mean, think about so much of what goes on
we see politics and we think of it as like
its own little orbit.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
By the word It's Kenelly Casey show.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
I'm Rob Casey's here, and I was thinking about how
to deal with this today because people are with this
announcement that came down yesterday that they're going to call
the special session.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
And of course Braun lied again.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I mean, the guy is a habitual liar, because how
many times did he say, I'm not calling the session
unless the votes are there, unless the House and Senate
consent to moving forward.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
He said it over, he said it on Hammer, Nigeli, said.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
It all over the place, and yet the votes according
to And we'll get to the next lie in a second.
See how I was going to be calm and I
made it about seven seconds into this show. This is
the stuff is irrelevant. It's the things that are going
on around the stuff that people need to pay attention to.
So he says over and over and over and over
again that I won't call a special session unless there's
(01:02):
the votes and the pro tim of the Senate, the
leader of the Senate's office, comes out again and says
the votes are not there, correct, and he's calling the session. Now,
this may seem like some small thing, but it's another lie.
It's another blatant, irrefutable lie that this guy told. And
if he lies about something as stupid as this, he'll
(01:24):
lie about anything and everything, as we found out during
property taxes.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Why are they calling the special session if the votes
aren't there, according to the Senate, Is it to push
people into voting the way that they want.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Is it to get it on record?
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Is it so that Governor Brown can turn around and
say to Donald Trump, I did what you wanted, just
didn't work out.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
So I'll come back to that in a second, because
that's the first lie he told yesterday. Then he comes
out and he was on was it Tony's Midday Show?
Tony has so many shows now, I can't keep track
of them. Yes, it was Tony's Midday Show. And he
continues to say, well, it's just the Democrats who are
saying the votes aren't there. It's just the Democrats who
are saying the people don't want this.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
No, your own party, sir.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
The pro tem, the spokesperson for the pro tim, the
leader of the Senate has said the votes are not there.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
Now, maybe that.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Person's wrong, but it is not just the Democrats who
are saying this, and these polls that are showing people
don't want it. The last two that we have talked
about on this program were done by Republican affiliated pollsters.
Another lie. It's always the line, it's always the dishonesty,
it's always the deceit with these people, and that is
(02:34):
the issue that everybody should be paying attention to. Look,
Andrew Ireland was on with you guys yesterday and I
wanted to depuke, not because anything you guys did wrong.
You guys did great, but again it's the blatant deception.
It's the blatant, disingenuous behavior. You challenged him. What I
thought was the penultimate moment of that interview with State
Representative Andrew Ireland was you challenged him on what we
(02:55):
have said for weeks down this program because it's Massachusetts.
This Massachusetts that blah blah blah blah blah, mass jus
nine to zero, the northeast, Dad, it's all they got
the talking points because Bron says that, Micah says it,
the Reps and Senators are saying it. And we said
for weeks now, okay, draw us the fair map that
shows me all these representatives, Republican representatives in Massachusetts. And
(03:20):
he knew he was going to get that question because
I've been talking about that.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
We've been talking.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
About that for weeks on this show, and not one
person has produced a map that shows you all of
these Republicans who would be in the Congress if it
weren't for the evil, awful Democrats jerrymandering their state that's
overwhelmingly Democrats.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
And what do you do well, he said that.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
He knew somebody who did a map and they found
one district that would go Republican and one that would
be swing.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
I know a guy. Yeah, that was his answer.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I got a guy.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
He can't produce it. He didn't produce it.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
The only thing we have seen, and I've challenged anybody
to show me something different, is that if you jerry
mays under it out the wazoo in favor of the Republicans,
which why would the Democrats do that? Are we doing
that here? Under our current maps? Are are we the
Republicans like, well, we feel so bad for these Democrats.
Let's give him a freebeat. If you jerry mandered out
(04:15):
the wazu, you might be able to produce one Republican district,
not a fair district, not a fair map, but a
map totally rigged in favor of the Republicans, and then
all the other districts in Massachusetts would be eighty twenty
or ninety ten. That's the best we've seen anybody be
able to do. And he sat right there and.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Goes, I got a guy, he didn't have anything.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Let's see that guy, Let's see that map. Let's have
that conversation. And the other thing that gets me when
he was on with you guys yesterday, him whinding about
andre Carson. I've about had it with Andrew Ireland whinding
about andre Carson.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah, he did mention him on believe three times.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Because Andrew your party, the Republicans made andre Carson as
strong as he is. They made that district unbeatable to
say victorious sparks the last time because he's a horrible
candidate who can't keep her damn mouth shut. But all
we hear from the Andrew Ireland people is Andrey Carson.
Andrey Carson. If Andrey Carson is so damn bad, then
(05:12):
why do the Republicans make him unbeatable? That's what I'm
talking about with this. It's not even the issue. By
the way, you know who said they're running for Congress.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Today, Jennifer Ruth Green.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
So that's who you're gonna get disgraced, booted out member
the Braun administration.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, public safety secretary.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
That's the sort of person you're gonna get in Congress.
So you tell me Andrew Ireland and he couldn't do it.
He admitted, He admitted there is no Now he didn't
use these words, but he has. He admitted there is
no real value to another Jefferson Streeve or or Jennifer
Ruth Green being there.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
He would like stronger candidate, but.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
You're not gonna get that.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
So what you have is everybody either being completely disingenuous.
In the case of Andrew Ireland, and at least he
admits it's all political. But I mean, the winn he
does us, the stuff about the Andre Carson and the
Massachusetts I got a guy, really, you knew you were
coming in for this interview. You're an attorney by trade,
you present sound arguments to the court, and the best
(06:12):
he could come up with.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
I got a guy. This is why I came in.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I want to I wanted to puke when I heard that,
And you guys did great pressing him. But the point is,
all you're getting from your representatives is either blatant dishonesty
like from Governor Braun, or you're getting disingenuous deflective behavior
like you're getting from Andrew Ireland, and you take the
(06:37):
issue out of the equation. These people are doing this
on just about everything that comes in front of them.
And that's why our country's in the shape it's in.
That's why our states in the shape it's in, because
this is how these people handle everything. No conviction, no truth,
know what's best for you know?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
How do we hold our elected people accountable?
Speaker 1 (06:57):
It's just whatever's best in the moment, whatever's best for
the part.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Okay. Now that's where I'm going to differ with you
just a little bit.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
In regards to Andrew Ireland, I do believe that he
does have conviction in what he says.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
I think that he believes he said we.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Have to fight fire with fire multiple times during that interview,
and I think that he really believes that. With some
of these other people, I think that they're just parroting
the talking points that have been handed to them.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
But that's fine, Casey, But his argue is the way
he's going about it is ridiculous to whine about andre Carson.
At no point did he criticize his own party for
making andre Carson what he is.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
They literally changed the map.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
The last time, just a couple of years ago, to
make andre Carson more strong because they knew Victoria Sparks
was in big trouble because she's a rotten representative, because
she's a loudmouth and she's erratic and people are like, eh, eh, no,
thank you. So they had to rig the map. See
this is where, well what about the jerry mandering in Illinois?
They just rig the map further to say, a Republican
(08:00):
representative and he sits here and has the audacity to
whind you about andre Carson without criticizing his own party
for creating.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
What andre Carson is.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
The other thing you did with him, I didn't know
we're going to spend the whole segment on this, but
they did. Look, this is just stream of consciousness.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
At this point.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
I mean, I've been sitting fuman on this for the
past twenty four hours.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Sure you have.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
I'm glad that he came in, though we took some
heat because we had Carrie Hamilton on and many people said, oh,
you brought a democrat in. Why don't we hear from
a Republican And I think you know, he's very well
spoken with his message.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yes, so is Bundy, so is Ted Bundy.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Gasey was pretty convincive to I'm not comparing Andrew Ireland
to those to those guys, but I'm saying there's lots
of people who are very convincing with their message, but
their message is crap. The other thing you asked him,
which was great, is you said, well, hey, you guys.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Can do whatever you want while you're in there.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Special sessions open. How about revisiting property taxes? You know
what you got now? This is an artist rendition of
what you got?
Speaker 4 (08:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Am I wrong?
Speaker 4 (09:04):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:04):
He said that they weren't going to address this right exactly.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
He's mister property tax guy. He can fight for whatever
he wants to fight for. Did you see any fight
from him? By the way, has he ever commented on
the iedc audit.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
I didn't ask him about that because I wanted to
focus on other things.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
No, no, no, no, no, I'm saying, has he ever publicly commented?
I've never seen a public comment from him. Now, maybe
he put one out. I to see it, but I've
never seen anything. I know as of like a week
in two it he hadn't because he said he claimed
he had been working. But he's all in on this,
which helps no one other than the Republican Party. Jennifer
(09:43):
Ruth Green, Jefferson, Shreeve Messmer, Aaron Houchin, That's who.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
You're gonna get.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
He's all in on this. He will go to the moutis.
He tweets about it all the time. He responds to
people's tweets about this some guy named d C. Draino
from Flora that is bossing our politicians around in Indiana. Casey,
all right, we gotta get your break. I ain't done yet.
We got a long way to go on this way.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Someone pray for me. It is kind of like Casey,
It's ninety three WIBC
