Speaker 1 (00:00):
Happy schedule Release Day Art. When you first.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Get the schedule, what's the things that jumped out to
you about the twenty twenty four to one.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
Well, you have a lot of primetime games. Of course,
the Christmas game jumps out idea. But you know it'll
be a challenging schedule. You know, I wish we had
a home opener a little earlier in the schedule than
the third weekend, but you know, you just have to
deal with the schedule as it comes.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yeah, the first two on the road, but then three
out of the first four.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Is that kind of a test for a team When
you have to go on the road so much early.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
On, it is a test. So you know, that's why
I'd rather have a little closer to the beginning of
the season for an opener. You know, baseball schedules fit
into the picture, and so you just have to deal
with all the different circumstances.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
One that really matters when you look at a schedule
is the division games.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
And this year, not till week eleven.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Does the Steelers face an AFC Worth opponent.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
And then it feels like they're bunched together.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Your thoughts on that they are bunch together, so that's
going to be quite a stretch and probably, you know,
be a meaningful stretch of games for sure. You know,
it's kind of unusual. I'm not sure I remember having
one like this where we don't play any Division games
until that late in the season, so something different.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
You mentioned the primetime games, three of them are also
a bunch close together. Knowing that coach Tony gets this
team ready and they play well on a national stage,
do you think that helps to stay in a rhythm there.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
You'll never know. You can't take anything for granted, but
you know, coach usually has the team prepared for primetime
and you know, I know our fans will be excited
about the Cowboys coming into town and some of those
New York teams, so you know, those will those will
be exciting nights.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
You mentioned Christmas.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
The Steelers have not hosted on Christmas Day since twenty sixteen,
a very memorable finish. Haven't played since twenty seventeen on
the holiday. What do you make of that, in the
fact that it is at home and we saw what
happened on Christmas Eve just a few years ago.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
We played at home, say on Christmas a few years ago,
and I had a great crowd, so hopefully that will
be the case. Obviously we're hosting a big time team
and so you know it'll be a big game, you know,
with a national audience, so it'll be an exciting time, all.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Right, Art, thanks for your time.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Thank you,
