Speaker 1 (00:22):
Bands A stands as Posa stands a.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Big Bucks Entertainment presents The Rick Burgess Show with Speedy,
Greg Burgess, Edie Van Adlau and Rick.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Here we go and we're glad to be glad that
you're with us today, and I'm not just kind of
hanging out. So we got a lot to do and
wish you are excited to be hanging out with you America.
And we'll update you on what's going on in the country,
around the world, you know, with our unique take on
(01:41):
it and yours too. But we'll also work through the
things that are happening with with within each member of
the show today as well, which is also the norm
some things to be aware of. It is for a
lot of you, hopefully I know a lot of you
listening to this stuff on your own time. But in
(02:03):
the real world, it is Wednesday, and that means the
Wednesday Bible Study. We'll be back today. We will finish
the Book of Daniel today, Fellas, and so it'll be
the final chapter, chapter twelve, and we will finish Daniel
and a lot of you, we've got a lot of feedback.
(02:23):
Eventually we'll get to hopefully everything that you would like
for us to study. Many years ago, we kind of
left going through you know, different books and things like that,
and just went straight into books of the Bible expository teaching.
So we are going to be moving into one of
the most controversial books of the Bible, many scholars believe,
(02:46):
starting next Wednesday, Lord Willie, a lot of them believe
this may be the oldest book of the Bible, and
that is going to be the book of Job. So
we will jump into Job one week from today. But
we will finish Daniel today and it will be those
of you that love End Times. I saw some people
even on our social media today, some even kind of
(03:06):
weighing in on some end time stuff right now. But
if you want to get into the End Times, Daniel
gets another look at more about the anti Christ today
as it all ends, and then the way it ends
is pretty cool. But anyway, so that's today Daniel, chapter twelve.
We'll finish that in the Wednesday Bible Study today noon
(03:28):
Central one o'clock Eastern, and then the archive will be
available not long after that for you to watch it
or listen to it on your own time. So there
you go. I'm kind of excited. I was talking with
Speedy and Greg and as Adler rolled in, we were discussing,
you know, Donald Trump as president is exciting, and I
(03:50):
started thinking about based on some of the things that
he released yesterday. You know, when you think about family vacations,
the Gaza Strip's never been one.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
But hey, you know.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Turning the Gaza Strip into a vacation destination. Yeah, I
mean yes, So that that you're.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
Talking about the riviera of the Middle East.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Yeah, that that that looks like that looks like a
bold statement. And the headline says that, uh, bold proposal
to take over the Gaza Strip.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
And of course no surprise here when you're dealing with Trump,
it's drawn outrage.
Speaker 7 (04:27):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, looking nobody wants you to
be nice. I'm all about thinking outside the Let's think.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Outside the bar, I mean, you know, outside the box. Yeah. Yeah,
we gotta start somewhere. Hey, got my homies head and Gaza.
You know you're doing all your social media approach. Yeah,
here's our family's lovely trip to Gaza. So, uh why not?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Why not?
Speaker 6 (04:50):
Why not?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Why not?
Speaker 7 (04:52):
As he said, it's a war torn area. Buildings are
just in rubble, and then you got to rebuild somehow,
And he said that the US would kind of had
that project and take that territory over, rebuild it with
military protection, and then now what we do with the
one point eight refugees, uh, with Egypt and Jordan and
(05:15):
others would have to step in.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
We'll take him in while we rebuild a lot.
Speaker 7 (05:19):
But Mexico like a lot of saying, even you know,
supporters of Trump, this is thinking outside the box and
a good place to start. I don't know how realistic
it is, but it's at least, you know, thinking that
in a in a certain way. I mean, if you remember,
was it North Cara, North Korea that that he tried
(05:41):
to convince, well, why are you acting this way?
Speaker 3 (05:43):
He did, Well, yeah, well let's look at one that
we you know, all we were we were young and
not born when it was happening, but we it's close
enough to us historically, then we we can be told
about it vividly. Cuba before communism, Cuba after You remember
(06:03):
at one time your family would have said, oh, we're
going to Cuba, and everybody been like, oh man, that's
gonna be a blast. It was a beautiful place and
a great place to go, and in vacation and spend money,
and then the Communists took over and look at it now.
So yeah, same thing with norm. But the problem he's
got in Gaza, you know, in North Korea, you got
a problem because an evil dictator says, well, I like
(06:24):
the way I live, don't ruin that for me, And
then you get over to Gaza. And again, any anytime
anybody's playing around in the Middle East, if you don't
understand the biblical ramifications and what we've already been told
about the future, it's a nice idea, but you're wasting
your time because the people that that one side desires
(06:50):
that the Israelis not exist and they want them eradicate
it from the planet. And it's so hard to build
a nice hotel with that going on, right It's it's
it's really it's really hard to build a resort when
the people that are going to have to help you
rebuild it, all they're thinking about is the next time
they can kill Israelis. You know that that makes that difficult,
(07:11):
and then you know then there's the whole that you
know that it'll just be a difficult task. I understand
what he's saying, and I know that it sounds like.
And I think this is one of the things that
drives Trump crazy, is I think Trump can imagine why
people want to live that way, and and and he
could obviously come in with his ideas and make and
(07:33):
give you a higher quality of life. But there's things
going on that well you've heard me say this lot.
You just can't reason with unreasonable people. And if somebody's
end goal is we want all of this land and
we don't want these Israelis to be here and we
wish them all dead, that's yeah, that's just gonna be
(07:55):
a tough place to build a resort. Yeah, it is.
And he said, look, the god ideal the golf course
is going to keep getting interrupted unders telling you. He said.
Speaker 7 (08:05):
His mindset is everybody wants to see peace in the region.
Speaker 8 (08:09):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (08:10):
The the the peace he said to is it comes
from a better life. He said, that's not necessarily the
only factor. But a better life is about better opportunity,
better financial conditions, better aspirations for you, your family. It
would help the region.
Speaker 8 (08:26):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
And all that's true, it's just not it's going to
fall on death here. Every bit of that is true.
And I'm not sure that peace comes from that, but
I understand what he's talking about because the only the
the only way peace is coming to that region of
the world is an all out victory that has yet
to come. Yeah, not a resort, but but it's a
(08:48):
there's a there's a lot of comedy in that and
what he's saying and doing. Now, I know I think
he's serious, but it's but now I think he is. Yeah,
And and then look, I understand what he said, and
I think it would it would be a good deal.
But that one right there is just it's gonna be
a tough task. Yeah, there's a hand on that place
(09:10):
that's working out a plan that's that's bigger than than
the O. U.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
S A.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
And and I keep trying to find us in the
end times. I can't find us, all right, But anyway,
we'll uh, well, everybody seems to be there. We're away.
Talk about to Russia makes it, China makes it. Yeah, Uh,
we're are we. I don't like when you say that.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
This is the Rick Burgess show, that God fearing and
(10:08):
America loving the Rick Busy show.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Thanks for being with us. Okay, I know, even with
the song plant, but you know, it's all upbeat and
all that, and I have to go and bring up taxes.
That's only bringing up taxes. Are y'all getting all your
tax stuff together? You're getting that stuff in, getting that
stuff in the mail now, and you go and you
(10:33):
put it in whatever you have a little I have
a little basket or something. I put it in and
put it on one place. You can't even have so,
but some of you out there, you're thinking, I'm get
a little nervous. Birds nervous. Well you nervous about a
little bit of odds with the r S. Well that's
not good. If you're at odds with the RS a
(10:55):
couple of things. You got to realize this hiding and
not owning it is only going to make you like
a tax evader. You don't want that. The other thing is,
don't do not contact the RS directly, don't wait on
the letter. Go to Tax Network USA right now. Put
(11:15):
them to work for you. Okay. There's a reason that
the uber wealthy get away with things that you don't
get away with. It's because they have a lot of
lawyers that can negotiate with the RS. And let's just
face it, we don't. Okay, So you need an advocate.
Here's the folks that will work with you. This is
your day. Go ahead and do this, okay, TNUSA dot
(11:38):
com slash big Vox. Now, if you owe ten thousand
or ten million, their attorneys can work with you. They've
already already resolved over a billion and tax deb Here's
the phone number two one eight hundred nine to five
eight one thousand, eight hundred ninety five eight one thousand.
Just call them, get these irs troubles behind you, or
go to t nus A dot com slash big box.
(12:01):
They have brilliant strategies that can help you. T in
u s a dot com slash big box. They have
a direct line to the r S. They know which
agents to avoid, which ones to work with. Also their
link at Rick Burgess Show dot com under sponsors from
the from the text line, scroll it down just a
little bit, coming down to right here. Help me understand
(12:25):
your laughter that America isn't mentioned in Biblical End Times passages? Well,
are y'all not familiar with the term a nervous laugh
where you go don't see us? And then most can
reason that out. Uh, and again, I don't look, I
don't maybe look, maybe there's something I don't understand. Maybe
maybe we're called something that the biblical translations have that
(12:49):
I do know that when we get down to Armageddon
that they're on the battlefield is the east versus the West.
Maybe we're over in the west somewhere. We just don't
we're just not called by name.
Speaker 9 (13:00):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
But but anyway, so that laughter was what you would
call a nervous laugh. Yeah, and so so that that's
what that's about. Of course, we're not in the end
laugh right, and and it's and it's also I will
say this, it's also it's also a reminder to understand
that maybe sometimes the way we see our country can
(13:23):
be positive, but there's also a limit to how far
you should go with it. Loving America is fine, Worshiping
America is probably not wise, or any nation for that matter.
So so anyway, all right, so let's uh, let's let's
go back to some things we talked about a little
bit yesterday personally, So yesterday the audience really got cranked up,
(13:46):
and we put it on social media too. About the
pictures from Greg uh and and me and our sister
from our trip to Disney World when we were young lads.
I didn't know it would it would take off the
way it did on You know, there seemed to be
an obsession with the fact that I was uncomfortably large
(14:06):
at the age. I even got home and my wife
was looking at the picture. You know, I know you
told me you were a big kid. I didn't wow, Rick,
I didn't realize, and I was like, yeah, maybe it
was one of those things like every time I played
Little League, the moms would claim that I wasn't supposed
to be playing with that age group. I hope that
big old boy is not supposed to be out here. Greg.
(14:29):
You remember one time I hit a ball so far
in a little league baseball game that the whole opposing
team just screamed to God looking at the sky, and
nobody even went after it. But but anyway, so my
mom we also discussed Greg in his how was he
was a little lad but also a very very mean
(14:50):
little lad. Mom found this picture yesterday and send it
to me. You think he's not in trouble. This is
at Disney World, And Mom said, check this picture out.
It goes right up everything y'all were talking about. She goes, look,
you think he hadn't got his stuf in trouble. But
look sitting over on the bench, he's in time man,
trouble man. They didn't have Sherbert. I tell you what
(15:15):
you're gonna do a good Sit on that bench. You
you don't burn, Sit on that bench, and don't you move?
And why I take a picture of it? Greg Rick
took my eyes crib.
Speaker 10 (15:25):
I don't care.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Look at that face right there. Yeah, you don't have sneakers.
How about them? Sneak you're not you're not happy about something?
I know something go my way?
Speaker 8 (15:36):
You know what?
Speaker 3 (15:36):
One thing that that could be Greg blessed his little heart.
Speaker 11 (15:40):
You know what.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
He may not be. He may be tired, Yeah he's tired.
Little fellow may just be tired. This this is gonna
run him down. It could be that. And look, let's
just be honest. You've talked about it. Rick. You set
him up a lot to get in trouble. Oh yeah,
I was mad. I'm on right's face mountain. That's probably
what it was. Of course, I was a gargantuan kid
(16:01):
that was terrified of roller coasters. Yeah. I wouldn't ride them. No,
I was scared to death that kind of stuff. I
had a I had a spook fact we were kids. Yeah,
I loved it when I got older, But I'm talking
about when I was a little kid. I didn't want
anything to do with ghost stories. I didn't want anything.
I didn't want to be on any kind of wild ride.
I didn't want I didn't want anything to do with anything. Yeah,
(16:22):
we would, me and Dad would ride all the roller
coasters and he would say, yeah, Rick wants to go
over ride the Flying Flopper or something like that. As
big as you ever sitting there, I was gonna say, picture,
little fella is onlike the most dangerous roller coaster in
the park. I'm over going round around in a little airplane,
(16:44):
the Flying Flooper, bigger than the guy who's running. Why
is Andy Reid a Disney World when he was that
was me?
Speaker 2 (17:01):
That was me?
Speaker 3 (17:02):
You know that that terrible failing when they've handed out
all the little uniforms. Then the coach looks at you
and goes, hmm, coach.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
You got to Jersey.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
You think you think that that Little League Baseball T
shirt wasn't snug with a sponsor on it. I couldn't
put it in the drying Oh my goodness, good y'all. Yeah,
I don't know what I was in trouble for in
that page. What do you think? I don't know. It's
like I'm just mad as something said, I'm done with it. Yeah,
I got that look. Yeah, I think. Look I've seen that.
Look Greg's in trouble. I mean the fact that he's
(17:44):
over on a bench by himself. He's been sent to
that bite.
Speaker 12 (17:48):
You know, if you saw me sitting on it, Big
Feller probably just tired. But she was done with you,
is what it was, yo, birds that I haven't I saw.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
My mama deal with this, that child right there, gracious,
trying to correct him at all time.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
Oh oh and then dog hair looks great, buddy, How
do you like that?
Speaker 3 (18:12):
I wish I could grow hair now and I'd bring
it back. Somebody kept, Somebody asked. Somebody asked, yesterday, squirre,
you'll get those chocolate hilmets.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
That was a love.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
That was seventy. What that was min seventy?
Speaker 5 (18:27):
The monkeys and your monkey are ound exactly.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
The Davy Jones and I can call it all right,
we'll come back. Well, we'll talk more about what's going on.
We'll chat with you at eight eight eight six, Big Box.
When the Rick Burgess show continues.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Time is running out.
The reviews are rolling in on the twenty twenty five
Men Church Conferences to Powerful Weekend remained Panama City, Florida,
February twenty first and twenty second and Atlanta, Georgia, February
(19:07):
twenty eighth and March first. Powerful Worship, high Challenge, strong
equipping and beneficial fellowship with men from all over the country.
Get your tickets for a life changing weekend in Panama
City or Atlanta. No at Themanchurch dot com. Discipled Men
Change Everything.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
It's sorry, baby, We've got two more coming out of
last two weeks of February. We talked to Dean and
Sarah yesterday on the program. If you haven't heard that
in the archives, he's one of the speakers coming to
Panama City, a great interview. If you missed that, catch
that on the archives. Also this weekend, I get an
(19:49):
opportunity to go to another men's conference. We will have
the Manchurch Resources there. It's not our conference, we don't
run it, but it's the Dry Bones Men's Conference, Great
men's Ministry. I'll be there with JD. Greer, Fred Luter,
Phil Walder Charles Billings Lead and others Monroe, Louisiana. If
you are coming this weekend, we'll see you, guys. I'll
be speaking on Saturday, Lord Willing and boy what a
(20:13):
great lineup. Find those details at Themanchurch dot com under
events and you can still get tickets to that in Monroe,
Louisiana this weekend. All right, So a couple of things
to update on today. You know, I just feel like
that we're having to discuss plane crashes far too much
speaking of travel, and we're still investigating a couple of those,
(20:35):
and we'll get you those answers as they come in.
One thing I do want to say in passing, since
this is going to involve the military on the black
Hawk situation, you remember all the recruiting problems we were having,
and you remember we interviewed people over and over again
that we're saying, look, if Trump doesn't win the situation
with the military and all these social experiments that are
(20:58):
going on, it is causing people to not want to
be part of People are like, I don't want to
do reson. I don't want to send you know, my
son or daughter into that mess, you know. And so
here's something that is another good sign about Trump's presidency
two point zero the second four Army recruiting shatters records
(21:20):
after President trump election win, America's youth want to serve
under bold and strong leadership, according to our new Secretary
of Defense, Hegseth. So, I think there's a lot to that. Yeah,
I think it's so. Hopefully all branches of our military
will see the same rise in recruitment. They said.
Speaker 7 (21:42):
The December in twenty twenty four, from the excitement, was
the most productive December in fifteen years.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
There you go, okay, so let's look at now the
update not so good news speaking of the Army. Over
on the American Airlines Black haulk crash. More information coming
in the more they investigate. They finally revealed the pilot,
and the pilot seemed to be you know, quite skilled
(22:10):
as far as everything we could we could tell. But
now they're looking at some of the some of the
latest information. The helicopter was flown by twenty eight year
old Captain Rebecca. Is it Loboch? That's what it looks like.
It looks like him, who you know, sadly is no
longer with us. But they're they're looking at what happened now,
(22:33):
and they're saying that they are looking at the data
came in and questions that continued to mount on how
this collision took place. It killed all sixty seven people involved,
and the pilots do follow a very strict protocols we
know around the altitudes they can safely reach. But now
(22:55):
from an air traffic control radar, they've confirmed what investigators
had feared, that the military chopra was one hundred feet
above where it was meant to be flying at the
time of the fiery crash. Now, I didn't know we
play with those kind of numbers. That's a little close
one hundred feet.
Speaker 7 (23:16):
Yeah, they say they round it up around to the
nearest one hundred feet, So it could have been anywhere
between about two hundred and fifty feet or three hundred
and forty nine feet of elevation, and the passenger plane
was at about three twenty five. So yeah, they said
that the angle that these planes are coming in is,
if you know, they want you to stay below two
(23:38):
hundred feet, and so it looked like she was about
one hundred feet above where they needed to be.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
Yeah, it said the black box. Today they recovered from
the wreckage in the river indicated it occurred as you said,
it rounds to the nearest one hundred feet, and it
says the helicopter was flying anywhere between two hundred fifty
one feet in three hundred and forty nine feet of elevation.
The passenger plane was at three hundred and twenty five
(24:07):
feet at the time of the crash. And it said
it was almost like when you hear the black box.
The pilot is waiting on some instruction from the air
traffic controller, and it appears that the passenger plane realized
at the very last second, hey we got problems and
(24:28):
tried to, you know, go up, but it was too late.
And it said the crew had a verbal reaction on
the recorder showing that the airplane began to increase in pitch,
meaning trying to miss the helicopter. And it says you
can hear the sounds of the impact on the box. Sadly,
(24:50):
but anyway, it was we are now starting to put
together that we do have error on the pilot. Spark
m hm, you know, so that is I mean, but again, guys,
we're talking about but again in this area, says this
is this is well known.
Speaker 7 (25:14):
And yeah, these helicopters that you know, they they take
this route all the time, but they have a very
low altitude under two hundred feet that they run. And
so with them being above that and I think, uh,
a combined effort with air traffic controller being a little
vague in their communication, which that's another topic. Uh, it
(25:40):
created this impact.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
I interview another pilot and this is right after it happened,
so a lot's probably changed from this. Sure, And there
was another female pilot and she said that she thought,
when you want to tell me about when they told
them there was another other trafficking area that she thought
the same the thing that was brought up before that
they were looking at another plant, Yeah, the one taking.
Speaker 5 (26:00):
Yeah, here's a visual of that right now. And it's
a departing flight and you can see how it would
be in their line of sight. The helicopter pilot would look.
It's almost like southeast, yeah, or southwest, and there's that
departing flight there. And then meanwhile American Airline flights fifty
three forty two is coming just collision course right there. Yeah, unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
Yeah, there they've been waiting. They've also you know, been
they've been waiting on the air traffic controlled data and
they have it now and they are confirming that. She said,
also this routing, she said, she thinks it's outdated. Routed
trying to route to the helicopter under the plane. Yeah,
she said that. She said, you can hold a helicopter
(26:47):
up and it just sit there and wait. You know,
you don't have you know, she said, yeah, she said,
it's outdated. This is the way we used to do it,
going underplanes and all that. Because she said the two
hundred foot limit too, she goes, that's not very far.
So you're looking down mostly because you're looking at the
water because you don't want to mess up. She says,
you know why they were looking up when they're supposed
to be that low. Yeah, yeah, so I didn't you.
(27:10):
I'm looking at it right now. They say this is
very crowded. To your point, it happens all the time,
but when you're dealing with these this kind of there's
no room for error, and it seems like we're in
a very i mean, we're talking. It's amazing how one
hundred feet two hundred feet is no crash versus crash. Yeah,
it's a little more buffer than that.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Even if it's two hundred feet of their buffer, that
just seems so. I mean, these planes aren't that big.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Yeah. Well it's it's like Greg said, you know this
one pilot's like, well we can literally hover in the air. Yeah,
and the helicopter, why not just tell us hover until
I can I can get you through here clear, you know,
as opposed to well, hopefully everybody's at the right altitude
and you don't be off by one hundred feet, right,
That just seems a pretty tight window right now. Yeah,
(27:59):
maybe a little more room for error.
Speaker 7 (28:01):
I think I think a lot of folks in this
industry and have already known it. But what this has
exposed is the the strain on that airport and yeah,
and what is coming in and out of that that
airport with at Reagan in d C. And folks have
been talking about it, and I think Congress just approved
(28:21):
more flights coming in and they're like, we can't keep
adding things, and it's just it all has to be restructured.
And I think this has unfortunately made it to where
this is a topic of hey, we told you, we
told you.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
No, you're right. There's always these moments we see in
history where somebody says, I told you this was going
to happen, and I kept saying, we got a the
we are on. We're working in too tight a situation,
too tight a space, too many aircraft, not enough room
for error. And now these people they've lost their lives.
But maybe this loss of life will cost change that
(28:57):
will save other lives.
Speaker 5 (28:59):
So yeah, and the point I was trying to make
earlier with the size of this airplane. The wingspan is
seventy six feet. The length of his airplane is one
hundred feet. Should we only have a buffer of two
hundred feet for a one hundred foot airplane? I can't
believe they work in tolerance. Tolerance is this small?
Speaker 8 (29:18):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Yeah, it's surprising, really is. We'll be back fifteen minutes
to the top.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
This is the Rick Burgers Show. This is what Trump
(29:52):
had in mind when he sought to make America's wait again.
The Rick Burdgers Shows.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
We're part of the we were all playing. Yeah, thanks
for being with us today. We'll get to some of
your phone calls at some point a day D eight six,
Big Box, the old will of bundles, spits and Bucks
is standing by. You never know what an opportunity made
present itself. Yesterday our first group to ever sit in
(30:21):
the box seats watching the show. We had a young
lady thirteen years old win one thousand dollars on the wheel.
Speaker 13 (30:31):
Right.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
I won the basketball game, and you know I had.
I saw somebody put out on social media said that
girl won and she just kept on winning and she
did well. I said, like Trump, I said, with this,
with this show, there's gonna be so much winning on
the show. Y'all can get tired of winn y'all, I'll
get sick and tired of win. Will has been very generous,
it really has. It has, and now you're quoting big
(30:53):
time Rush. Our account had a conversation with me, I said,
he said, Hey, I've been in meetings. What's going on?
I just wanted you. Did you get that email from Speedy?
I didn't check my email yet. It's just you get
to check out check what what for? I mean some
ass on wh what yo? We don't want to end
(31:15):
up like Jackie Moon. No, we don't have a contest
and we don't even have cornshot. I grab the wheel.
Wait a minute, crazy? So so anyway, it's no the
winning I mean there's just so much winning here. I mean,
(31:35):
it's just it's a win.
Speaker 14 (31:38):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
Well, like we said, look, guys, we're we've talked about this.
We we we were for We're up for listeners and
viewers and whatever we have to do. If we have
to buy some movie, that's fine, whatever whatever it takes,
all right. So looking at other things, we I just
feel like that. I don't know what's wrong with these
four men that are doing this show. I don't know
(32:00):
what's wrong. Do we just not like football anymore? We don't.
We don't get excited about we don't. We don't even
a game. We finally get a twelve twelve team playoff
in college.
Speaker 8 (32:12):
We we had.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
I didn't like our it wasn't that too much football,
I didn't. I didn't like our attitude on it.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
We gave it.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
I'm talking to myself. Yeah, I don't know why I.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
Gave it more than I usually do. Guys, I get
just as much.
Speaker 15 (32:26):
Or with the n b A.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
So that so the chiefs will be taking on the egos.
All right, let's get down to the thing. Let's get
down to the things. And we know this, you know
the audience and people, there's if you want if you
want to, if you want to. You know, people are
ruined stuff. Cone Well, just like we talked about, you know,
every time we try to do anything patriotic, everybody complains
(32:51):
about it so much. We're like, yeah, forget it. Yeah,
Like I'm I'm so glad to be done with playing
the national anthem. I mean, doesn't doesn't mean I don't
love the Love America any last. I'm just glad I
don't have to hear Why did you play that one?
That was stupid? I don't like that one. That's too short,
that was too long, that's disrespectful. I didn't like that.
Why you play it?
Speaker 16 (33:10):
Then?
Speaker 3 (33:10):
Won't you play it?
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Then?
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Why you played only once?
Speaker 8 (33:13):
You know?
Speaker 3 (33:13):
And I'm like, did you play with words? Why did
you play with that word? I like the instrumental, I
hate the instrumental. Uh So, anyway, went in Houston. That's
the best one.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
Yeah, so any time, it was a good speaking of which,
the last time we had the Chiefs and the Eagles,
Chris Stapleton laid down probably the best anthem I've ever
heard of my life.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Can I tell you this, I'm open to that. I
probably like that version of the national anthem as good
as I've ever locked any.
Speaker 5 (33:42):
That's what I've done. I listened to it twice.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Yes, it was fantastic. I like Chris Stapleton here second.
So they played each other, not last year, but the
year before. Yes, right, okay, see, yeah.
Speaker 5 (34:03):
That's what I'm talking about. Every single day of the week.
I will listen to that if I feel like it.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
I think I think it belongs up there in the top.
It's got the Franklin. Oh well, that was just a
playoff game. Well, but that was and I don't know
what was happening, but that was one of those things
where Aretha is one of the finest singers of all
(34:28):
time at one time. But what we did is her
health was not great. The arrangement was weird. She was
hard to look at. Let's just call about I don't
like to see somebody that close to death. I mean it's,
you know, looking a little rough. Uh, it's the Queen
(34:50):
of soul, the Queen of saul.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
Okay, So that was in twenty sixteen. Is that the
one you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
I don't know. I may have been a championship playoff game.
I can't rememb but it was Detroit and hopefully. I said,
she couldn't sing. It's just the arrangement, was I hope,
I hope you're playing it.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
What she was wearing the I think it is she's
wearing the fur coat.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
No, that's not it.
Speaker 5 (35:12):
It's wearing the fur coat from Denzel Washington.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
That's not the one. I'm thinking that you remember when
American gangs.
Speaker 5 (35:19):
American gangs a fur coat. That's the same coat.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
That's not the one. I'm thinking. This is not the range.
I don't remember, but I don't know. Maybe I don't know.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
She can play piano to.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
Okay, Okay, that's pretty bad.
Speaker 5 (35:39):
You can't say that about the quie.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
It's a weird arrange. So this is that thing and
had a weird arrangement. This is the worst, the one
that she couldn't sing.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
It was just an arrangement.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Well, we've heard she's not Carl Lewis greg and this
is really close, really close to our heart. But I'm
just going to say this this thing of like see
what I would say is sometimes we put people in
positions and you start screaming they're the king, they're the queen,
And I said, and we should treat him that way. Yeah,
because what we're because what we're doing right now without
treating him that way, right, I know you're a fir Elvis.
(36:11):
Now things now, things are getting a little sad. Let's
get the microphone then, let's not do that. Got one
of the Jordanaires holding What do you think about that?
Other day? When Wingo said he worked security with Elvis,
and he claimed that somebody else was singing the songs
and he most and they would fill in the parts
where he couldn't Breathe Wow, somebody was singing underneath them
that before they head back track, so they had somebody
(36:31):
had to do it, somebody. And I said, you talk
about one of the Jordanaires. Of course he didn't know
enough about it. Well, you know, he goesaid, no, those
guys that sing with him. I said, that's the Jordanaires.
Come on, come on, Wingo, and he said one of
them was over there like it's like he would sing
the song and Elvis just coming and out when he
wanted to know, okay, well I've heard of that being done.
(36:51):
He said he was close and he said it was
nothing but just sweat and just crammed in that suit.
He said it just he just did not look good. Well,
you know Jane Melody when that when the guys holding
the microphone for him, Yep, somebody get us a micro
stand and I think you might need one if he's
gonna play the piano. And this is a time and
this is what I don't like. And then you say, oh, man,
(37:13):
that said, come on man, that's the King, and I go, exactly,
we shouldn't be doing this to him. We don't love him,
but we like we love him, but we don't. Yeah,
that was a long way with him. Days he reach
out and at and start making out with You know,
I noticed the women were still willing to The women
were still why see why why would we do this?
Why would we do this? Mikes stands that they're staying.
(37:35):
Did you notice, though, for years right, why we couldn't
get a boom microphone for the King of rock and Roll?
I don't know we have one for a basketball. He's
so swollen. That would have been the tour WINGO probably
saw him. I think it was his.
Speaker 5 (37:49):
Blood pressures through the roof in this footage.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Guys, Wow, it is man King buddy. Okay, but did
you notice those has a long way from Pope Santa
Danny that one when he's getting when he's owning it, salad, salad.
But do you remember, no matter how large you got,
no matter how pale he got, no matter how bloated
(38:12):
he got, and how sweaty, the women would still open
mouth kissing every time. You know, everything, it didn't matter,
did not matter. Great guys, we were tall. It's good
to be the king.
Speaker 10 (38:27):
That's good to do.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Listen up, like we say, you gotta find.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
The voice of Wiso in an unreasonable world. The Rick
Burgess Show.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
That's right, baby.
Speaker 4 (39:04):
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
A brand new hour and we are excited that you're here.
Join us on the journey as we go forward. You
can text us or call us at eight eight eight
six Big Vox. You can go to rickburgisshow dot com.
All the information about the show is there. You can
(39:27):
follow us all on social media. You can shot the
store and a lot of you asking about the shirt
I have on today, old man Strong, Well you can
you can get that at the store. It's there, so
just click shop. Yesterday Speedy had on a cool Camo hoodie.
That's there. The Carhart's sweatshirts are there. The ladies, where
(39:52):
is there and where your new rick burgis, show Swack
and more to come, asking a lot of times the
song that plays from time to time out of the
top of the hour break and some of you know it,
some don't, that is actually a text person asking now
the one that just played. That is actually the song
(40:14):
Age of Miracles from the world's greatest garage band, Mister Lucky.
Here it is, and Greg and I, along with our
friend Chuck Mason and Mickey Shadwick's actually put that song
together when we were in our teens teenagers. So, and
it's on the Fat Chance CD, which you can get
on iTunes as well just look for mister Lucky. But
(40:36):
so we have a number of things to unpack. The
super Bowl is coming. Oh sorry, the big game, Big,
the big sorry, fifty nine big game. This will be
which I like to be in this position. I don't
care at all who wins, no preference, no preference whatsoever soever.
I want to see a good game. We want to
(40:58):
come down to the wire, Lee, and I don't care
who win, don't care at all.
Speaker 7 (41:04):
You know, all the players are doing their their press
conferences and all this, and uh A, a reporter tried
to pull my homes into something controversial by asking kind
of off, Mike, who's your favorite player that you you
know that you ever played with to win a Super Bowl?
And who's your favorite referee? Yeah, because they claimed that
(41:25):
he gets all the college he did. He did bite
he easily. I'm not going And who's your.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Favorite marking the spot. I do want some of you
to know that the NFL's attempt to end racism did
not work.
Speaker 5 (41:44):
Uh, got it worked?
Speaker 3 (41:45):
Well? It either? I don't know. It doesn't appear to
work because I still see see see racism in our
in our society. I think unfortunately, I'm gonna see it
probably till everything is new Havn and a new Earth.
Speaker 15 (41:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
Uh, but put it in the end zone in racism.
Either did it work because they're removing it, or it
didn't work. Now, deep down, I think somebody who is
a wicked racist, which means there's a darkness in their
life somehow, I think it's going to take more maybe
redemption than them looking picture a racist watching football. First
(42:21):
of all, that's odd, but now let's picture a racist
watching football and then all of a sudden they go,
wait a minute, what does that say in the end zone?
Oh my goodness, does that say in racism? I don't
know what's happening, but I find myself seeing people as equal.
You know, I was okay, I probably would have been
(42:41):
a racist forever if that had not been written in
the end zone. And so now the fact that they're
not going to keep it in the end zone, now
they're being called racist because they're taking in racism out
of the end zone. Correct? Is that correct? Yes?
Speaker 7 (43:01):
And they're going to replace replace it with choose love,
and it all it takes all of us.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
No, we're playing football about choose love.
Speaker 7 (43:10):
And they said that the decision came because of the
recent tragedies in the US since the start of twenty
twenty five, including the terror attack in New Orleans, wildfires
in LA, hurricane plane crash in DC. And we want
what's the message in the end zone to reflect what
currently the US is going through.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
Look, and I'm not against any of that, but the NFL,
let me tell you this. Once you've started this and
I'm seeing this, yep, you can't just ever make it
have something there became what you put. Everybody's either going
to be You're gonna have a few happy and you
have some mad. I mean you've you've opened that door,
and you're gonna have to keep it up. Yeah, I've
seen never gonna make everybody happy on either side. I
(43:53):
thank you both of all of us have seen in
society and in our own personal lives it's never enough. No,
no matter what you do, everybody is what did you
do for me recently? And it's never You never appease people. Hey,
I'm going to put in racism in the end zone.
You know, well, why didn't you do more? Why don't
(44:14):
you leave it longer? Why are you taking it away now?
I'm going to put choose love. I don't even know
what that means. I really don't choose it. Yeah, you
choose it. You must think about them saying it has
something to do with the terrorist attack in New Orleans. Well,
the terrorist attack in New Orleans had to do with
a false religion and the desperation it created by someone
(44:38):
who did an evil act trying to appease their version
of God. So if what do we tell that person,
why don't you just choose love? In his mind, he
did love love of what he believed. It's the belief
system that was flawed. I mean, these things are just
outrageous that people actually think these things matter. I mean
(45:00):
this this to me, this is lazy, what a terrible effort. Yeah,
have y'all seen the back of Harrison Butker's helmet, the
way you have little messages earn my shirt? Chick does
say that?
Speaker 5 (45:12):
Now I agree with that sentiment.
Speaker 4 (45:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
The person on the text line says it best when
you when your whole goal is to please everyone, you
end up pleasing no one.
Speaker 4 (45:22):
That's it.
Speaker 7 (45:24):
There's even a bigger controversy, Rick, and that is President
Trump's going to attend and everybody's upset he will be
the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (45:37):
Here we go.
Speaker 7 (45:38):
The New Orleans Saints owner asked him to attend and
be her guest, and apparently she's a Republican or at
least backed the Republicans, and so, oh my goodness, how
dare him go to the game? But uh, that's actually
a headline that it's revealed who Trump will watch the
game with. And some can't believe he's going.
Speaker 3 (45:59):
Are you This is the first president to ever go
to a Super Bowl? Yes, I find that hard to believe.
Speaker 7 (46:05):
It says that he is going to be the first
sitting president to attend the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
Okay, so that's what the story says. He's changing it
to the America. Bo How Greg, if you were going
to put something in on, what would have?
Speaker 1 (46:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Never mind bad question?
Speaker 5 (46:30):
Who farted.
Speaker 3 (46:34):
One time? It gives brings the story. What if it
just said in the end zone with a picture of
Greg's face sitting that little kid sitting on the bench
that we saw earlier, and all that said at Enzo
was this is stupid one time. It's kind of the subject,
but it's still kind of When I worked in the
meat department, they had this machine that when you say
that rapid and we put the sticker on it, well
(46:56):
you could type on the headline like pork chops or whatever.
Well the guy worked with his name was Dewey. Well
I tapped in Dewey farted on the on the the
main package, just to be funny. Damn. Then I couldn't
get it out. I couldn't erase, I didn't know.
Speaker 4 (47:13):
Where you put it on.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
We're just giving and I couldn't get it out. What
we're do specher? So I figured up port chop party
on the on the porch. But if we count figure
out how they get you. Once he saw it, we
all laughed about it, and I said, let me get
(47:35):
into port Chops back and I was like, oh my gosh,
I can't get it to her place. Oh my god.
I think Dowey actually finally figured it out. We'll be back.
Speaker 8 (47:43):
I heard.
Speaker 3 (47:46):
More right after this.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
For the list of decision show you a little more.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
Actually warning, in order to truly benefit from this show,
you must have a sense of humor. So late enough,
praccis and enjoy the Rick Curgis Show.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
Okay, we're back. Thanks for being with us today. Super
Bowl this weekend a rematch from were report last Chiefs
and the Eagles. They gave us a great super Bowl
last time. Maybe they will again. We shall see. Uh
it is going to be in Nolan's Uh. And so
(48:39):
we've been talking about that a little bit. But let's
look at some of the some of these clips and
then we'll get into what some of this controversy may
be about the president and whose guest he is and
all that. But, Uh, Jameis Winston, Greg, I know how
you love Jamis. Jamis Jameis Winston Man, Jamis, I give
him a little more. Here's calm down. Yeah, Jameis Winston
(48:59):
at the super Bowl. He's now acting as a member
of the press. I guess this is kind of a
joking around thing. So he's about to ask a question.
By the way, you got the Super Bowl press conference here, here,
we're here, we go. He's he looks like he's with
Fox Sports. Yeah. Hey, one more questions, sat, one one
more question in this cre agency. Man, I'm a free agent.
Speaker 8 (49:21):
Don't get no job.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
Who's the sign mere free agency? Okay, New York Johns?
Use you? So Jamis is asking, so he's a free agent.
He did, Okay, he did, he sure did.
Speaker 8 (49:42):
He did.
Speaker 3 (49:42):
He gave us lots of material to there's nothing better
in his pregame speech. So the Browns just gonna keep
sticking with Deshaun Watson. Now think you he's tore his
achilles again during rehab or whatever. How much longer the
Browns is gonna be in this volatile relationship he's got.
All right, So here's another one. Jalen Hurts is being
(50:04):
asked about someone says their girlfriend says, you're the most
handsome quarterback in the league. Yes, all right, so we'll see,
we'll see how this goes?
Speaker 14 (50:12):
All?
Speaker 3 (50:12):
Right?
Speaker 5 (50:15):
How could I get more hands?
Speaker 3 (50:16):
My girlfriend says it back Swift like I'm anything. I
don't know if I can help you. Now that sounded
like a DNA thing.
Speaker 5 (50:31):
Such a good answer.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
Yeah, so, but can you see I'm at the super Bowl.
I'm about to quarterback one of the two teams who
let this idiot in here? Yeah? What kind of questions?
Is a lot of that?
Speaker 5 (50:40):
Here's another one towards Travis Kelsey. Yes, everybody's trying to
make a statement, viral moment.
Speaker 3 (50:47):
Travis Travis, what do you love more? Taylor Swift or
Phantom fifteen yard roughing the pastor penalties in the playoffs.
It's a kill question anybody else?
Speaker 1 (50:58):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (50:58):
Oh wow, So you're right, everybody's trying to have something.
Speaker 5 (51:02):
Some jokers in here.
Speaker 3 (51:03):
Uh huh, well speed, I'm sorry. Let's have we got
a Snoop Dogg Tom Brady a super Bowl commercial about
stopping hate. Of course, Snoop Dogg he's still out there.
Speaker 4 (51:11):
Man.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
Let me tell where you look at you, Snoop. You
talk about a marketing genius. Snoop has come out of nowhere.
He went from being George with murder. Yes, everybody loves
you murder.
Speaker 5 (51:21):
What's the case that they gave him?
Speaker 3 (51:23):
Let me tell you, Snoop Dogg has done the greatest
thing about a master plane, Greg Greg the greatest p
R switch he really is ever now everybody loves I
find myself loving Snoop.
Speaker 5 (51:35):
I used to like Snoop for the wrong all for
the wrong reasons.
Speaker 3 (51:38):
Well that was the Snoop, the Snoop didn't even like right,
all right? So I hate you because you look different.
Speaker 2 (51:45):
I hate you because I don't understand you.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
I hate you because people I.
Speaker 8 (51:48):
Know hate you.
Speaker 5 (51:49):
I hate you because I think you hate me because
I need someone to.
Speaker 2 (51:52):
Blame, because you talk different, because you act different, because
you're just different.
Speaker 5 (51:57):
The reasons for hate are as stupid as they sound.
That is what it says on the screen.
Speaker 2 (52:02):
And I hate that things are so bad that we
have to do a commercial about it.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
Me too.
Speaker 5 (52:08):
Stand Up to All Hate? UH Stand Up to All Hate?
Dot org paid for the foundation to combat anti Semitism,
so it's paid for UH to by that by that group.
But they are also promoting the website stand Up to
All Hate?
Speaker 3 (52:24):
Or what's that on Snoop's head? Do you hate it?
Do you hate you learned nothing? Why do you hate
my head? Maybe long Stocking they should have written an
en zone. I wouldn't have done that, all right, So, uh,
like are things hate? Been around a while?
Speaker 17 (52:46):
Right?
Speaker 3 (52:46):
Yeah? I mean it's uh, people being unreasonable? Been around
a while, and I do I think people are more
unreasonable than never been moniocal.
Speaker 7 (52:53):
Probably, So yeah, I'm willing to at all at all.
And if you disagree just the fact you disagree that
you're labeled something, what.
Speaker 3 (53:01):
About what about this new thing where they accuse you
of not answering your question when you've answered it? Yeah,
well why don't you answer the question? I think I
have several several times? Yeah, but yeah, So also this
thing with Trump and whose guest he is? You're saying
they've uncovered something involving the archbishop of one of the parishes.
Speaker 7 (53:23):
Yeah, to add to the to the I guess controversy
of him going it's to who he's he's going with,
which is the owner.
Speaker 3 (53:31):
Who's a Catholic, devout Catholic.
Speaker 7 (53:33):
And these internal emails that have come up come out
where she's tried to help cover up some some allegations
within the Catholic Church is another controversy. That's added to
it because it comes I think the announcement comes like
just a day or something after after that announcement that
had to do with the Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans
(53:55):
and a sex abuse scandal.
Speaker 3 (53:57):
All right, So so she invites.
Speaker 5 (53:59):
Trump, Gale Benson, the Saints owner, Yes, okay.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
So and then we find out that Gail has internal
emails that she's trying to cover, yeah, for the archbishop
that's now been accused and I was accused. It's alleged
that the archbishop has done something inappropriate. And so the
fact that she appears to be covering for him or
(54:26):
standing up for him, and now I've invited Trump. Now
that makes him look bad? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (54:31):
Is that it?
Speaker 10 (54:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (54:32):
That had like three hundred internal emails have shed some
light on the Saints roll protecting the local archdiocese. And
then it says here that she even offered up the
team senior vice president of communications to help navigate the
scandal back in twenty eighteen. So some things are coming out.
And then the announcement that Trump's coming going to be
(54:54):
her guest just a little bit after those internal emails
came out.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
That's added to the controversy. All right, so did was
he found guilty of these charges that if it was
twenty eighteen, Now this is the twenty eighteen thing.
Speaker 7 (55:09):
Is just there's more that's come out that she's offered up,
you know, help within the Saints organization to help with
the pr and the communication. But it looks like that
the scandal as far as the news of Trump's invitation
to join her and then the internal emails, that's kind
of fresh. Okay, all right, so the Associated Press they
(55:30):
said that the three hundred internal emails are now shedding
more light on the Saints role, that they played a
pretty big impact and trying to help. So that's that's
basically all the story is saying.
Speaker 3 (55:40):
Okay, so if they if they tried to help, I
guess I'm trying to figure out what was the guy?
Did it turn out that the guy was dirty? Mean,
has it been? Yeah? Because if you're trying to help
a person who's been alleged that that's I mean, if
you if you don't like the allegation, I guess that
can be bad, but it gets worse. So if you
were trying to cover for somebody that was found to
(56:02):
be guilty of this.
Speaker 7 (56:04):
Yeah, it says here that the emails that were attained
by AP they undercut the assurances that the Saints gave
their fans about the pr guidance five years ago, when
they assured they provided only minimal assistance to the church.
And the team went to court to keep its internal
email secret. But now they're out, so it looks like
(56:26):
what they were saying and what's really true is there's
controversy there. Yeah, reach how deep they were into helping.
Speaker 3 (56:33):
We told you we weren't very involved at all. Now
the internal email show we were really yes, and now
we've invited Trump, so that makes him look bad.
Speaker 5 (56:41):
The team did put out a statement criticizing the media
for using leaked emails for the purpose of misconstruing a
well intended effort. No member of the Saints organization condones
or want to cover up wants to cover up the
abuse that occurred by the Archdiocese of New Orleans. That
priest was charged with. You know, I hainus crime against
(57:05):
an eight year old.
Speaker 3 (57:05):
Four bed stuff. Bottom of the Hour. We'll be back
more of the Rick Burgers Show. It's Bottom of the Hour.
Speaker 2 (57:17):
This is the Rick Burgers Show. Did you miss part
of the show today. Catch the entire show on your
own time by going to our YouTube or podcast channel
(57:39):
for the day's show archive. Find them both at rickbergershow
dot com.
Speaker 3 (57:46):
Don't forget that, never have to miss any at all.
All Right, so I know some of you when I
bring this up, I got it. I've already joined. I'm
part of the Association of Mature American Citizens Roger that
I'm in, but some of you are not, So, uh,
make the move now because there is a conservative lobby
(58:09):
in Washington that also represents those of us who are
mature American citizens.
Speaker 4 (58:16):
I know that.
Speaker 3 (58:17):
And when I speak that, the word mature with the
four of us, it probably doesn't resonate, but you know
what I mean, It means older. So right now, go
to AMAC dot us slash big vox. Now, this is
a great time as the Trump administration just seems to
be going into action. But wouldn't you love to be
able to track the first one hundred days or so
(58:39):
much going on? Well you can do that. They they're connecting,
you know, with you and us. Not only do do
we have a big voice, a big vox, they do
as well, and they lobby from a conservative point of view,
but you still get all those you know, discounts on
travel and restaurants and uh. And you get the AMAC magazine,
(59:01):
America's number one conservative magazine in honor of Trump's victory
as the forty seventh president. You get forty seven percent
off of five year membership right now normally sixty dollars
right now, it's thirty two dollars. Okay. So here's how
you get that. You go to AMAC dot us slash
big Vox, you join, you get that one hundred day
track or two and for thirty two dollars five years
(59:25):
AMAC dot us slash big Vox, or you go to
rickburgesshow dot com and look under the sponsors button. You'll
find it right there. I know we've talked a lot
over the years on the on the Rick and Bubba Show,
and we've even hit it in the first five weeks
of this show that all of us can say, we're
(59:46):
a little concerned that customer service not what it once was. Okay,
And there's really no greater adventure than if you ever
have to call customer service involving anything. And we've had
some great best of moments involving this kind of stuff
over the past show. And so the thing that I
(01:00:08):
seem to be noticing is there seems to be a
breakdown and it does need help. There seems to be
a breakdown, even if you get a human, okay, and
even if that human even seems cordial. At one time,
I was just like, I just love talking to somebody
who seems to care and all of that. I really
(01:00:29):
have not had a problem with on this adventure. But
they just don't seem to be passing the information along
and they don't seem to be finishing what they say
they're doing.
Speaker 10 (01:00:41):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
Yeah, So this is how it's gone. And I've talked
to four different people, Okay, all pleasant people.
Speaker 7 (01:00:49):
Let me say that, all pleasant people. And let me
guess every time you hang up, you think it's handled.
Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
Oh hey, got that done? Yes I do, Yes, I do.
A person who apparently can see the future in the past.
So what happened was and it's in this world we're
living in. Good Night the identity thieves. Good Night, the
identity thieves.
Speaker 5 (01:01:10):
So some.
Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
Loon, evil person got the numbers off of a business
debit card that we use, Okay, So I really do
prefer when it comes to when you need to do banking,
I prefer to talk to a small, independent bank. I
(01:01:33):
really do, but because of things like this when you're
dealing with the biggies. But I still have accounts that
are at a bigger bank just because there's reasons I
can't move everything to where I want to yet because
it would cause chaos. But so anyway, that's not important
to the story. So I realized the card has been compromised,
(01:01:55):
and I see some charges that are not ours, and
so I get on the horn and I will say,
customer service picks up really quick on a business account,
so that's good. And they see this, they go, oh,
I'm so sorry. Yeah those Okay, well those are fraudulent
and we'll we'll get all those taken off and you'll
(01:02:15):
be reimburse that money. Okay, great, that that sounds good,
and we'll let me go ahead. Let me go ahead
and cancel that card. Okay, let's get that canceled. Right.
We've got another card coming to you in the mail,
or you can go to a branch, uh and just
walk in and get a new one. Okay. So here's
where I'm located. Okay, I'm sorry that branch doesn't do that, okay,
(01:02:44):
so just put it in the mail to wait just
a minute, can you get to this branch. Yeah, yeah,
that's not that far from the office of do Oh
wait a minute. Oh no, they don't do it either,
so so stop. So I couldn't. I couldn't help it
because you know, as my family has said that I
(01:03:05):
might want there's a tendency to be a smart elect
And I said, so some branches we'll do it, not
not all clearly. No, no, it's not all of our branches. Okay, Well,
let's just put it in the mail. Okay, all right,
what's so, I'm going to come in an envelope that's
not gonna have any markings on it, so don't throw
it away. Okay, no problem, you'll do that and your
(01:03:25):
pen will come in a different envelope on a different day, understood.
So I look and I see the I see these
fraudulent charges. Look like they're coming ouf pretty quick. And
I'm like, all right, that's good. Go back a day later.
Just check it the other back everyone over there, and
(01:03:45):
it's still on the same day. It's not a new one.
So hey, I just talked to one of your colleagues. Okay,
let me take a look at your account here, alrighty
all right, oh, yes, yes, I see those uh again
somebody you worked with said they were going to be gone,
and they were and now they're back. M uh did
(01:04:08):
you cancel the card? Yes, yes we did. Oh I
don't see that. I don't see that it's been canceled. Well,
let's cancel that.
Speaker 8 (01:04:16):
They can.
Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
Let's do it again. So now here's your options for
getting a card. I said, please don't talk about the branches.
Was no, there, you can go into a branch and
just get one. Not where I live. Oh, I'm not
sure that's true. Let me take a look here, give
me your zipko. Are you near this branch? Yes, I am. Oh,
I'm sorry. They don't do it, okay, I just want
(01:04:37):
to stop that. I just want to stop that. So
so have y'all. Have y'all sent me another card? I
don't see that we have?
Speaker 14 (01:04:46):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
Well, I was told it was in the mail. Tell
you what, let's get those charges handled and let's get
you another card. And I said, couldn't help it. He's
gonna come in an envelope this art. No, no, it'll
be a wife, you know, like that, and I said,
I said, so the pen number will be with it. No,
(01:05:09):
you're having fun. Yeah, I'm having fun, sadly, so it ends.
I think it's handled again. Okay, done a few days later.
There they are. That's not true. Call back again, call back,
call back again. Hello, let's let's take a look at
your account. I'd be walking in a break every time,
every time, every time. Yeah, oh I see those Oh
(01:05:32):
they got ten of them, didn't they. Yes, they did. Well,
you don't worry. We'll be we'll be. We'll be refunding that.
Let me let me cancel that card. That card has
been canceled twice. I don't think so. It's not what
i'm seeing. Let me let me cancel that world. Okay,
that's canceled out. That's canceled. Okay. Now here's how you
(01:05:55):
can get your new card. I said, I really would
prefer to go into a break. Oh yeah, well you
can get it the same day if you do that.
Let me take a look at your zip code. And
I said, you think there's one near me? Oh, I'm
sure there is. And are you near so and so
so and so? Yes, I am. They don't do it.
It was just like it was Grandma. It was Grandmack day,
(01:06:18):
and uh and then then this one, and I said
that y'all, won't y'all just mail me a card? I said,
I think that's already taking place. I don't think so.
I don't think we've sent you a card. That's too
like that. Now it'll come in a plane envelope. I'm
familiar with that. So anyway, so they're gonna they were
(01:06:39):
gonna send me a card. Okay. So then it happens
for what I hope is the final time, and I
go through the same thing again. Now keep in mind,
keep in mind, everybody has told me that it's handled okay, confident.
So so late yesterday after the fourth I did see
(01:06:59):
them go away again, so hopefully and the balances back
where it should be. But here's what was funny, all
the way back to the first person. I get home
yesterday and guess what was in the mail? Three cards
not separate, my new card and my pen number. Okay,
you are together. And I think it goes all the
way back to the very first person that said they
sent it. So I probably keep coming. I probably have
(01:07:22):
multiple cards. You probably do. Where's the communication? I mean,
no one communicated it's just easy. And like I said
this time, I mean, they really get on the phone
with you pretty quick. Yeah, and they have a great attitude.
They're very nice people. They just don't seem to be
somebody's not hitting delete. They just don't seem to be communicated.
(01:07:43):
It's like it was Brandmont day. I was Bill Murray
and crazy. I kept waking up to the same day
over and over again.
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. This is where logic
meets left.
Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
So Rick, but thank you for being with us today.
Come on, come on, come on, all right, so funny
people chiming in on the text option today. Somebody said,
we actually talked at church this past Sunday. We've added
something to the wonder of the revelation when all this
(01:08:29):
is over, Revelation two. I actually talked of that this
past under two. No more death, no more tears. We've
also added no more customer service in heaven because there
will be no customer problems. That is a good one. Yeah,
this one was the oddest though, because it was everybody
spoke very clear English, everybody had a great phone. They
(01:08:52):
genuinely seemed to care. That's what made that just all
of that was they just couldn't quite quite get it done.
Speaker 4 (01:09:01):
And it was.
Speaker 7 (01:09:04):
Just so many text messages that wow, so you're on
my calls too, yes, man.
Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
So also, I had a weird experience. And we'll get
into some more of the updates in the news, but
I had a weird experience today. You ever get your
schedule off and but you're not aware you you're off.
You know, you don't you don't go, wow, my schedules off.
You just it just it's off, and you were unaware
that it was getting off. And that's happened to all
of us today because me, you and Greg got in
here when we got into a monologue conversation huh, and
(01:09:31):
then we looked around, it's like, oh, my goodness, we
haven't done anything. Yeah, and I missed the whole brain
So I sat down and we were we were like
rolling through the show, and I was like, you know,
I went to bed last night at like seven forty five.
I was done. I slept great, and I'm like, why
am I feeling a little groggy? Where's my energy? And
so I'll send it hit message. My gosh, I haven't
(01:09:51):
drink any coffee. All of a sudden it hit me.
I haven't what's up with the coffee? So I panicked.
I'm like, I'm an hour behind on coffee. I noticed
there was more than a pot when I went back
for my second. Yeah, you hadn't been in there. I
don't worry. I've caught up. But you know, I was like,
it didn't even hit me. I mean, coffee is the
first thing I do when I get here. Yeah, because
(01:10:12):
baby brothers us already got a little poprop was it
was it morning before last I announce, Man, I don't
feel right, that's whatever. And it was like eight thirty
and I realized I hadn't even eaten two things. To
your point, I forgot to eat two things. I'm not
I didn't realize. I didn't realize my schedule was off.
And number two Okay, apparently you are impacted by coffee. Yeah, yeah,
I thought I was just drinking because it's a good,
(01:10:33):
little warm drink.
Speaker 18 (01:10:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
No, you know it helps my broadcast voice a little.
Speaker 4 (01:10:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
I'd rather not smoke for pipe, so I don't just
drink the warm drink.
Speaker 15 (01:10:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:10:45):
You put that note on there the other day, Rick
about don't let the coffee get burnt or don't leave
without turning it off or whatever that I took that
note off yesterday because I went up to the pot
and it was just burning, sitting there burning. I'm like,
all right, well, I guess this not's not working. I
just took it off. I was frustrated. I'm sorry I
took you.
Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
I wanted I wanted the note to work. I don't
understand the concept of I just drank the last of
the coffee. There's only a tiny little pool in the
bottom of this pot that could not even be a
cup for anyone.
Speaker 5 (01:11:17):
Let it burn.
Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
Turn it off. How hard is that? It's car that
turn it off. Turn it off. You poured your cup,
there's none, Fine, don't make more, that's fine, turn it off.
Turn we're sharing. If you really want to be sharp,
rent it out and put it back. Turn it off.
I'll rinse it out. Yeah, just turn it off. The
(01:11:40):
uh and we're sharing our we're sharing our buzzbox coffee
with the whole building. And but let me tell you
what I'm starting to think about. And it would be
on us if it happens, because we we've done it
before too. But at least they'll be on us. We'll
have I'm I'm thinking of our own coffee pot in there.
Get out of the sharing mode, go get a mister coffee.
The real simple. So what we have at camp house,
(01:12:02):
set one up on that table in there? Is there
a place to plug it in?
Speaker 9 (01:12:05):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:12:06):
No, yeah, and we just do our own cough.
Speaker 5 (01:12:08):
But then we got to go get our own water.
That's the only thing that the sink is right there,
fill it up. It makes feeling easy.
Speaker 3 (01:12:14):
Where where are you using the bottle water we have?
But then then that just makes it go away quickly.
Speaker 5 (01:12:19):
A lot of bottles of water there here.
Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
You know if you use if you use a more
pure water, though, it will taste. Is that is that?
Speaker 5 (01:12:27):
I'm sorry?
Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
Is that I don't even consider in my mind about
the water either? Is the are we here? Well, let
me tell you this this question. I'm about to ask
it better matter. Do you know if this building is
on Birmingham water or is it on Shelby County water
of some kind?
Speaker 10 (01:12:44):
I have no idea.
Speaker 3 (01:12:45):
If it's Birmingham water, you'll think different. I'm telling they
got problems easy, hey, right, okay, hang on you ever
you ever seen all things going on there? Come on now,
I don't want a meeting We've got to pack. I'm
just on you. I want to get a call. Keep
your eye on that. I see my water tank. I'm
glad I can see it. Let me tell you where
(01:13:10):
some of the cleanest water that you'll ever have down
there at camp House. That's good water. Like that, that's
good water. That's good water. Hey, look, I knew a
guy who's in the water business. In the water business. No,
he came. He came here to work for that water
and to try to help. And he and his family
packed up in the lifts that there's no helping. I'm
just telling you. I didn't like the things he said.
(01:13:31):
Oh I didn't like it, packed up, said I can't
be here anymore. Actors Bag tried to fix it, couldn't.
Speaker 5 (01:13:38):
I will say this, moving from San Antonio to Birmingham,
the tap water tastes much better in Birmingham. And that's
just because of the geographics of San Antonio. It's got
almost like.
Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
A sulfury Florida with Florida.
Speaker 5 (01:13:54):
I'm from Florida, I came from San Antonio, came came
to Birmingham. I'm like, oh, this is refreshing mountainin water.
Speaker 7 (01:14:01):
Now we do have good water now, oh, cold water,
don't say most of the time, right, I'm just.
Speaker 3 (01:14:08):
Telling you that Florida water. You're You're right. I was
down saying and we were like, what is this. You
ever take you ever, somebody ever take you to lunch
and you wish you'd never gone that lunch, the things
they told you. Yeah, he pulled that curtain back and
I was like, boy, thanks. Then a little controversy over there.
Oh yeah, people people should have gone to jail. Yeah,
(01:14:30):
you're still talking.
Speaker 5 (01:14:31):
Larry Langford didn't.
Speaker 4 (01:14:32):
He was he.
Speaker 7 (01:14:37):
He's passed away. He went to jail for something different.
Bottle of water they're saying, does make it taste better. Well,
then there's that taste. But then but then there's the text.
Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
Okay, would Bill Burgess use any other water and coffee
other than what comes out of the tap, And the
answer to that is no, he would not unless we
were hunting. He'd use creek water. Now, creek water, which
I'm not sure we should have done that. Dad seemed
to push through it pretty good though.
Speaker 5 (01:15:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
Well, like I said, you right, well you look at it.
I know, I know I'm talking to your dad and
others that are reading the advanced copies of the book
about Dad, I honestly, and Greg, I think you agree.
Did you recall seeing him being afraid of anything, I
mean of anything in his deal? I remember the first
(01:15:30):
I remember of the time that like see for he
would think you could tell him that ten people drank
out of that creek and got sick. He got one. Yeah,
and it wouldn't. I don't know how he did it.
And then you remember the tanks. He just picked it up.
Do you remember the time, like you said, you know,
people talk about passing you know, uh, kidney Stone, how
horrible it is and all that, and we asked Dad
about it would passed when he went, now, yeah, I
(01:15:55):
was like that Dad, was that axtreciating regreggted you had
the conversation with him. I didn't, and didn't he just
kind of go, yeah, it's like.
Speaker 5 (01:16:01):
Your father didn't have It's like he didn't have enough
nerves or something. Yeah, it's like he's got like the nerves.
Speaker 3 (01:16:09):
You're right, that understanding? Wait, Dad, you passed one? Yeah?
Speaker 19 (01:16:13):
How was that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:16):
About the worst thing on the planet that people talk about?
I heard about people writhing in pain. It's soft is
why what do you do? And I love when he'll
hit you with those things, you're just so frank. Well,
you stand there and you get it out. Yeah, you
push it out, pleasant, say get out? Was it bad?
It wasn't great? Was it awful? That felt like that?
(01:16:38):
If you said anything was difficult but it was highly exaggerated, Yeah,
painful or difficult? He was like, eh, I think you're
talking more about being soft than you are about it
being bad. The Shop of the Hour. We'll come back
a couple more Trump updates today, anytime he has a
press conference. It's interesting. We'll run that be right back.
Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 3 (01:17:16):

noon Central one o'clock Eastern. We will finish our study
of the powerful Book of Daniel today with Daniel chapter twelve.
All Right, got a special anniversary shout out to start
(01:18:21):
the hour from one of our most staunch supporters out
of the beautiful state of Arkansas. And this is a
happy anniversary today. And this is this is twenty years.
I love when he calls it. We have had our
eventful marriage today. So and this is in the first
(01:18:41):
anniversary said they've been apart. She's actually working in Alaska
till April. What and oh man, he's got it made. Hey,
I mean no, oh no, he's Greg. He's got another
tough day of doing whatever he wants. Yeah. But anyway,
so I may climb that call. I may just sitting
(01:19:06):
here and not happy. I not the shout out he wanted. No,
he's got a great susumer back up there. John and
Jen Harris twenty years married today. Uh, and it's also
her birthday today. So there she building.
Speaker 5 (01:19:21):
Greg, she's actually helping he's probably building igloos.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
She's she's doing mission work they need. There we go
that what did he just what you say? What did
you say they need shelter, right, there's more than they
don't have. It's not igloos. This is that thing where
people who are you know, connected us like I kind
(01:19:45):
of regret that. Let me real bad back. Yeah, heart
for Esquimos, Thank you, Greg. Well, population is down? Yeah
all right? So all right, so we had anytime, we've
got Trump weighing in and doing a press conference. It
is it is worthy, it is worthy of us taking
(01:20:07):
a little gander at it. So here we go. Do
you want to revisit Gaza? We talked about it about
two hours ago. Do we want I don't want to visit. No,
I'm talking about literally, do you want to do the
thing where Trump does that first? I mean we did
talk about this. I know it's the big headline today.
Uh but but anyway, let's just start at the beginning.
(01:20:28):
We did talk about the US taking over Gaza. We
covered that earlier in the show. You can catch it
on the archive today. But but here is President Trump
announcing we'll take over Gaza. Uh so, so so build
some kinda.
Speaker 15 (01:20:43):
Get it.
Speaker 20 (01:20:44):
We'll take over the US strips, will take over the
Gaza strip and we will do a job with it too.
We'll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of
the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site.
Speaker 10 (01:20:59):
Level the sight, and get rid of the destroyed.
Speaker 21 (01:21:02):
Buildings, level it out, create an economic development that will
supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for.
Speaker 10 (01:21:11):
The people of the area, a real job to something different.
Just can't go back. If you go back, it's gonna
end up the same way it has for a hundred years.
Speaker 3 (01:21:24):
Let me tell you, does'n it y'ahoo? I'm glad you
brought that up. Does he does? He have a look
on his face like you didn't run this? Boy?
Speaker 5 (01:21:30):
He really does?
Speaker 3 (01:21:33):
Like what wait, you didn't run this, Bobby?
Speaker 15 (01:21:36):
What now?
Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
Is gonna take over Gaza ownership? We own it, gonna
build a resorts. Mayby's good with Baby's good with it.
Should have probably ran it past him. We're gonna level up.
Speaker 10 (01:21:56):
It'll be awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
Somebody it'll be called Magaza, will make them our lago
a fabulous name, little hot here the riviera of the
Middle East.
Speaker 22 (01:22:14):
What you were saying about the.
Speaker 3 (01:22:17):
Going to other roundries?
Speaker 1 (01:22:18):
One where exactly are you suggesting that they.
Speaker 15 (01:22:20):
Should go in?
Speaker 4 (01:22:21):
Two?
Speaker 1 (01:22:21):
Are you saying they should return.
Speaker 5 (01:22:23):
After it's rebuilt.
Speaker 3 (01:22:24):
And if not, who envisions living there.
Speaker 21 (01:22:27):
It's envision the world people living there, the world's people.
I think you'll make that into an international, unbelievable place.
I think the potential and the Gaza strip is unbelievable,
and I think the entire world. Representatives from all over
the world will be there and they'll and they'll live there.
Speaker 10 (01:22:47):
Palestinians also, Palestinians will live there. Many people will live there.
Speaker 21 (01:22:52):
But they've tried the other and they've tried it for
decades and decades and decades. It's not going to work.
It didn't work, it will never work. And uh, you
have to learn from history. History has, you know, just
can't let it keep repeating itself. We have an opportunity
to do something that could be phenomenal. And I don't
(01:23:13):
want to be cute, I don't want to be a
wise guy, but the riviera of the Middle East, this
could be something that could be so bad.
Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
Kids, We're going to six Flags over Gaza. Yea, Dolly
g did they h It's gonna be awesome.
Speaker 5 (01:23:30):
We're going to Disney World Gaza.
Speaker 3 (01:23:32):
By the way, the Man of a Thousand Voices is
dowling Trump and yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
Din it in.
Speaker 3 (01:23:36):
It's gonna be awesome. We're going to talk to the
cabinet and build it. Wait a minute, he's got something going.
He's it will be fabulous. There you had it.
Speaker 7 (01:23:47):
The world's finest people will be there, he started, haven't
I haven't talked to my people about it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:53):
Right now, you're getting Now, you've gotta lower my voice
a little. What I gonna know? Now, you're mister world people, people, people,
can we hear this? You gotta love just when Greg
he compliments the accident but says it's so thick. He
(01:24:14):
has no idea what she's saying.
Speaker 5 (01:24:16):
At the same meeting, it's a baby standing right there Trump,
the whole room full of pressed people. Some woman from
Afghanistan chimes in, Okay, sorry about this lady. Go ahead,
you guys in carrying.
Speaker 17 (01:24:28):
Me up and suffer woman as an eye expectations from you.
Do you have any plan to change Afghanistan situation? Are
you able to recognize Taliban because I'm an upgun journalist,
up and suffer woman, any comment about Afghanistan?
Speaker 3 (01:24:42):
What's your future? Plant a gun? People especially have a.
Speaker 10 (01:24:45):
Little hard time understanding you. Where are you from.
Speaker 21 (01:24:51):
Actually it's a beautiful voice and a beautiful accent. The
only problem is I can't understand the word you're saying.
But I just say that good luck, living piece, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (01:25:05):
The Gaza.
Speaker 3 (01:25:06):
Once I turned down, I moved there. You live in
the world, don't you update on the Taliban? And yeah,
I'm generalist living peace and beautiful. I can't understand your
living peace. That's just total transparencies. I can't understand the
(01:25:27):
words later the free world, don't. Well, you know what, right, Greg,
I'm getting stuff done. That's pretty good, boy, you really
you're getting really close.
Speaker 2 (01:25:38):
Give me some of your Jimmy Dean.
Speaker 10 (01:25:41):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:25:42):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:25:44):
They call the Gulf of Mexico, you know, or the
Gulf of America the Redneck Riviera. Maybe we could call
like the Gaza strip, like the Raffi Riviera.
Speaker 3 (01:25:54):
We're on a road now. There's so much we can
do with it. If you've ever heard of the art
of the deer, just part of it. You win something
with his bottom lift, you do?
Speaker 5 (01:26:07):
Look at that's horrible.
Speaker 3 (01:26:08):
You went. You went from hero to zero. I'll try
a little better now. Now I don't even know what
that is.
Speaker 14 (01:26:14):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:26:14):
We got two more. We're gonna come back Frank, Greg
your favorite, the very uncamped Frank Luntz. We'll we'll talk
to a CNN panel who doesn't want to.
Speaker 5 (01:26:23):
Hear the truth.
Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
I like Frank be the good guy Van van Jones. Also, Uh,
they're trying to educate their own people on underestimating Trump
and his supporters, but they don't want to hear it.
We'll talk about that and we come back hanging there.
Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the man who taught
the world to say, couldn't care less?
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
Rick Burgess, The gang's all here. Speedy Greg Adler unpacking
the stories of the day within the show in around
the world, finishing our Trump update today. We talked earlier
on the program about, uh, you know, six Flags over
(01:27:18):
GAYSA we hit by the way people are chiming in
speedies X. Your your impression of Trump is getting close.
There's you there's some pretty close ones there. Greg's had
it dialed in. I've got a main taking on it.
Speaker 5 (01:27:32):
Yeah, you need like a buzzword that helps you get
into it, like China, China, China, or.
Speaker 3 (01:27:37):
Something that's funny China.
Speaker 7 (01:27:41):
You know you sound like is it monsters inc? Is
it the old lady in Monsters, inc.
Speaker 5 (01:27:47):
I sound like the old lady and Monsters.
Speaker 3 (01:27:50):
What's her name? I don't know the teacher a lot
of us, none of us know. Have you been watching
that river? There's no use, there's no way you remember
Monsters in. It's pretty good that you bringing that back.
Not a bad movie when you get hung up and
stuff that they want to watch. My favorite kid movie
that I would go I'm in was The Incredibles. Rath
(01:28:13):
like Up's pretty good. You got to watch them up
at the beginning. I did not see that coming. Oh man.
Speaker 5 (01:28:19):
That montage at the beginning of.
Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
What is it? Dogs? Hilarious? Is it? Does it touch
your little heart?
Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
Montage at the beginning of Up is better than any
movie I've ever seen.
Speaker 3 (01:28:30):
Okay, my goodness, yep, you can see that I still
don't have grandkids yet. I've left all these movies, and
I know I'm realizing I'll go back to them, just
like when I made the decoration Pa, just like when
I made the declaration that I'm done with Disney, and
then y'all have reminded me, so what about grandkids? Is
there to my grandkids to Disney? Yes, I never took
(01:28:55):
my kids, so I don't know, you know, thank you, Greg,
I did. Well, you know what though, what they're hear?
Ohso okay, also you got you got your going with them,
you didn't go with us, that's what's gonna call me? Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
all right, Here we go, Greg, one of your favorites,
the very uncamped frank Lutz uh Frankie, is going to
tell us C and N panel some truth about Trump
voters and they don't like it, so they don't want
(01:29:16):
to hear it. So here we go this group.
Speaker 9 (01:29:19):
I think I'm kind of afraid to be alone in
this group. I surveyed these people. I focus grouped them,
and they are really really tired of being accused of
either racism or sexism because they voted for Donald Trump.
And it's one of the reasons why so many of
them did. I sat on this stage with you and
(01:29:40):
got shoot out when I suggested there's a better language
to reach out to voters, that there's that the Harris
campaign is missing what they're looking for.
Speaker 10 (01:29:51):
And I say this the same thing here.
Speaker 3 (01:29:54):
Americans just want to.
Speaker 9 (01:29:55):
Be Americans, not hyphenated Americans, not female America, black Americans, Jewish, Americans.
Speaker 10 (01:30:02):
They just want to be Americans.
Speaker 23 (01:30:04):
How do you think it makes people feel? Black people, women,
any person who has immutable characteristics about themselves to be
told every time that something happens, because they exist in
a particular role, it is their fault.
Speaker 5 (01:30:20):
Below Anyways, George Carlin jumps in there, but she misses
the point.
Speaker 3 (01:30:25):
She didn't even hear what he said. She didn't hear,
By the way, I don't know why Frank decided to
go with that hairpiece. I really don't. It looks like
haircut Greg. Yeah, yeah, well and to the point I've
seen the picture of Greg and I we were kids.
Is that the look somebody wants? You realize when you
are bald in the offense, But you get to pick
(01:30:46):
your hair. If you want to go get fake hair,
you get to pick it. Make a good pic. That's
a good point, Make a good pick. They don't hard
to look around.
Speaker 4 (01:30:53):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:30:53):
You can't pick your head, though, if you're now you're
right about that, and you've got a great head. Do
you not be up said about your If anybody's gonna
be bald, they need your head.
Speaker 5 (01:31:02):
You can't pick your nose either, you know, Oh wait,
yes you can, so.
Speaker 7 (01:31:09):
You know about back to Frank, he's a little bit
of Hey, y'all can't handle the truth. We tried to
tell you that did he did, and when y'all y'all
don't like the truth, and the voters are tired of it,
everybody getting painted in.
Speaker 3 (01:31:21):
This little corner. You know, it's played out as we said,
and and could you not see the results The results
of it didn't play out. It's an old strategy. It's
a tired strategy. Everybody's just sick of it. And it
doesn't work. And the Left continues to be tone deaf
and they don't they don't seem to understand why the
(01:31:43):
American people are rejecting them in leadership and and their party.
And until they figure that out, they're just gonna keep losing.
Speaker 4 (01:31:50):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:31:51):
Here's Van Jones who kind of stays in the same vein,
but he's talking about Donald Trump himself, Uh, that it's
wrong to cast him as some idiot. Yeah, and he
says that just isn't gonna go. You can disagree with him,
but he knows what he's doing here.
Speaker 5 (01:32:08):
And I don't know who this is with Van Jones
on this podcast, but he cusses so I was scrolled
past him. But his question is, how the heck did
Trump figure this all out? I mean, it's Trump, He's stupid.
How did he figure out that? You know, the fringe
media is now the mainstream media. How did he figure
this out? And this is Van Jones's response.
Speaker 13 (01:32:27):
Seventy eight year old guy who doesn't even have a
computer and still like writes handwritten notes? How did he
become the guy who cracked the code? On to your point,
running a cultural I don't even want to say campaign.
Running is the movement movement, heading a culture movement versus every.
Speaker 18 (01:32:47):
One of your people knows elon listen, yeah, so everybody keeps.
I mean the problem is you have a framework in
your mind that how could Donald Trump? How could Donald Trump?
How can Donald Trump?
Speaker 3 (01:32:59):
Guys? Can we cut it out?
Speaker 18 (01:33:01):
Donald Trump is not an idiot Donald Trump. Let me
just be very clear. Donald Trump is smarter than me,
you and all critics. You know how we know because
he has the White House, the Senate, the House, totally
the popular vote. He has a massive media ecosystem bigger
(01:33:22):
than the mainstream built around him and for him, and
a religiously religious fervor in a political movement around him,
and he is best buddy, is the richest person in
the history of the world, and the most relevant Kennedy
is with him. He this dude is is a phenomenon.
He is the most powerful human on earth and in
(01:33:42):
our lifetime. And we're still saying, well, how was this god?
We look like idiots ordinary.
Speaker 3 (01:33:50):
By the way, stand up, Let me tell you this.
He almost did his version of Confused America, which.
Speaker 10 (01:34:05):
Is true, it is, but.
Speaker 15 (01:34:09):
That is that.
Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
But you know what it is their aversion of what
they claim Trump to be. They claim that all Trump
can do is just call people names and make fun
of them. But it appeared to be this genius, but
he is. But what do they do anytime you hit
them with facts? They call you names and and make
(01:34:32):
fun of and make fun of you. There they are
exactly what they do what they claim he does with
zero substance. Does he have that in his personality? Of
course he does. But there's a lot more than that.
And that's the point that believe it or not, I
can't believe I'm saying. Van Jones was trying to make
you underestimate him at your own peril, is what he said.
(01:34:55):
And we did not. We did not see the writing
on the wall. We did not. We were told deaf
back to that we left the real world, immersed ourselves
in a fake world and got beat bad in the
election because we were just like these marketing plans that
don't work. Our marketing plan was to a fake world
(01:35:16):
and it was a total failure in the real world.
They did their own bud lot. This is what they did.
Speaker 7 (01:35:22):
Yeah, right, right, And the Dems still can't figure it out.
The DNC chair and all that stuff. We played the
other day about them trying to vote and Adlie said
they voted two white dudes in.
Speaker 24 (01:35:32):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:35:33):
In the end, they were trying to count.
Speaker 7 (01:35:35):
They all came from the four years of this PASTI
administration and believing all this was left stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:35:40):
They still had figured it out. That's still there, ain't.
Let's go to the people. Next, we'll do phone calls.
The number is eight eight eight, the number six Big box,
and we chat with you American.
Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
Next, this is the Rick Burgess Show. What the truth needs,
(01:36:19):
no apology, The Rick Purty Show.
Speaker 1 (01:36:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:36:28):
I want to be ahead of that, all right, So
Ken tell them it's time her phone calls.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
Okay, are you ready to bring something to the table,
call no and get on the show. One Hey Days
six D the bugs.
Speaker 4 (01:36:45):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (01:36:46):
Greg's taking phone calls and he's ready to chat with
you right now. Your comments. Bring those to the table
now and you can comment on all the things that
we've already discussed on the program, and there is much
to discuss and lines are available now you can chime,
or you can bring up a topic we haven't talked
about and ask a question as well. The number eight
(01:37:08):
eight eight, the number six big vox are eight eight

(01:38:17):
Welcome to the show, Go ahead.
Speaker 14 (01:38:19):
Good morning Rick and the fellows. Hey, hey, hey, do
you think if Trump was elated back in twenty he
would have knew this success he's having today, is he?
They would have ate him alive and just been a
constant battle.
Speaker 3 (01:38:34):
Yeah, I think you make a coin. Yeah, we hit
that once before, you know. I know it was hard
on all of us not to get that second term
when we all wanted it. But you are correct really
with the delay. You know again, we believe that the
sovereign hand of God is above all things and is
in charge of all who find their way into power.
(01:38:56):
A really God's plan of him right now is a
much better plan because he now has the Senate, he
now has the House, he's got more people in his
administration that he wouldn't have had then. So I think
you're right, Clyde. There's no doubt the timing actually worked
out better for those of us that are more conservative,
and it actually worked out poorly for the left. They
(01:39:18):
would have been better off if he was already done. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:39:22):
Kind of gave him four years to prepare, four years
to take off, four years to learn rest.
Speaker 25 (01:39:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:39:28):
Trump even talked about here recently last day or two,
the FBI and the DOJ, how they went after him
and pretty much helped him get re elected.
Speaker 3 (01:39:36):
Yep, lines are available, And if Greg's trying to get
to you as quick as he can, so be patient. Jordan,
Welcome to the show.
Speaker 15 (01:39:42):
Go ahead, Hey, Speedy, I gotta know what you would
do in this situation.
Speaker 7 (01:39:48):
Okay, Sunday at Church Boy, the.
Speaker 15 (01:39:53):
Choir was singing a little bit and the piano player forgot.
Speaker 19 (01:39:57):
The notes, so they were just singing acapella.
Speaker 3 (01:40:02):
And they're not great as it is. Oh, so.
Speaker 15 (01:40:06):
They were singing, and I just I felt like I
was gonna melt right there.
Speaker 7 (01:40:13):
And that's tough. You have nowhere to go, nowhere to go.
You just start feeling sorry for him, just please Lord,
help them get through this.
Speaker 3 (01:40:23):
Now, I told you that your cohort cohort in uh
second had embarrassment uh marine Andy Blanks, And I saw
him walk out of the church sanctuary one to get
up walka over something like this. It was so hard
for him. He walked out till it was resolved. Can
you stay in the in the pew and work through it?
Speaker 7 (01:40:42):
Yeah, I've got to go. I've got to mentally go
somewhere else. You look around, Yeah, a little bit, but
I think walking walking out and that's brave of him
to do. But now it draws attention to you, and
I didn't I wouldn't want that.
Speaker 5 (01:40:57):
You have to scream out, fix it, Jesus, fix it.
Speaker 7 (01:40:59):
Yeah, you just start linking so and there's a lot
of times I'll just I'll like grab Terry's leg, you know, she's.
Speaker 3 (01:41:04):
Like stop it. And Adler are you talking about? Because
I've seen the Pentecostals when someone is struggling who thinks
they've been called to sing and apparently there was some
static between the call and their ears, they'll say things
like bless her Lord, Yes, help.
Speaker 5 (01:41:20):
Her Lord, help he fix it, Jesus, helper Lord, sing
for his Holy Spirit, which is actually kind of insulting.
Speaker 3 (01:41:31):
Take over this voice.
Speaker 5 (01:41:32):
Please, Jesus take the wheel.
Speaker 3 (01:41:34):
Jesus take the voice. Please, let's go to Austin. Austin's
out of Alabama, Austin. Go ahead.
Speaker 24 (01:41:42):
Oh yes, sir, so in about me less than nine weeks.
I'm gonna be the first time dad. And I was
just gonna ask you if you don't have any good
advice for the first time dad.
Speaker 3 (01:41:54):
Okay, so be prepared that this is about to be
extremely overwhelming. Uh, you're you're going Everything is about to
change in a drastic way. And though for for mama's
in a normal situation, they've been given a maternal connection
that that will go pretty quick. You know, it'll be great.
(01:42:16):
Dads don't have that. It's it's like, we have to
figure this thing out. So don't don't let that throw you.
When you look into the face of that child, you're
not ready for what's going to happen to you.
Speaker 1 (01:42:28):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:42:29):
It really is just going to be an overwhelming, emotional,
emotional moment, and you'll think to yourself, you know I'm
not worthy and we're not. But also let me comfort
you to look around, like, say to this show and
think if these four idiots have pulled this off, surely
anyone can do it. Yeah. So, and you know, and
(01:42:50):
you want to to be a hands on dad. You
want to be present. You know, there's there's no one
that can replace you. You have a unique role in
this child's life that no one can duplicate or replace.
Uh and and and you know, don't miss it and
so uh and then you want to be sure that
you have this family, you know, rooted, like we talked
(01:43:14):
about with our guests Dean and Sarah this week, you
want to take that family and root them into the
local church, not just to tend but I mean immerse
yourself in the local church. And there's no greater gift
that you can give that child than being a solid
man of God. That that's what the child needs more
than anything. It's what your wife needs, which is what
(01:43:34):
your family needs. There's nothing more important than that. You
can be good at other things and mess that up
and and and and ruin the whole thing. So be
a solid man of God and uh and and then
pass that on to everybody in that house. There's nothing
that will bring that child more comfort and uh and
so just you're gonna do great, and.
Speaker 5 (01:43:57):
Roll up the windows, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:44:00):
See, but.
Speaker 5 (01:44:01):
Kids will get colds to roll up the road when
you're driving around. Sleep when they sleep. That's very important.
Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
There's some practical stuff.
Speaker 5 (01:44:08):
Team set up a schedule. It's like I got this hour,
you got that hour. Whatever happens, happens.
Speaker 4 (01:44:13):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:44:14):
And then buy some weights you're gonna need them.
Speaker 3 (01:44:17):
Yeah, and do not do not have a child centered home. No, no,
Remember the child is coming into you and your wife's world.
You're not transporting into theirs. That just puts stress on
a baby.
Speaker 5 (01:44:30):
And you and your wife are pursuing Christ together. That's
that's it.
Speaker 9 (01:44:34):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:44:35):
Let's go to uh. Let's go to uh. Alisa, Alisa,
welcome to the program.
Speaker 16 (01:44:42):
Hello, how are y'all doing today?
Speaker 3 (01:44:44):
We're good. I hope you're well good.
Speaker 16 (01:44:47):
Hey, everything that everybody just said about that last caller
is one hundred percent accurate. So that's that's that's awesome. Hey,
I have a question for you guys. So I was
walking my dogs the other day, had two kids, had
two dogs with me, and my dogs had to go
to the potty. They had to go number two. Boy,
So what are your thoughts about using somebody else's trash
(01:45:12):
can for the bag dog poo.
Speaker 3 (01:45:16):
Wait a minute now, so you're going to clean up
after your dog, thank you for being a responsible pet owner,
and then you want to put put that in the
trash can of the people's home that you're in, or
somebody's home out there's trash cans by the road or something.
Speaker 16 (01:45:29):
Yes, it's by the street. Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:45:32):
Is it in a bag? Is it in a bag?
Speaker 16 (01:45:34):
It's in a bag, and it's tied up perfectly.
Speaker 3 (01:45:37):
I don't think that's a problem. I think that's a bag,
double bag, double bag. It be kind, but that that's
not a did she say heard or heard?
Speaker 10 (01:45:49):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (01:45:50):
Well, it could have gone either way based on the topic.
Speaker 5 (01:45:54):
So if the can is full, that's actually that helps
because then you know it's going to be taken out.
They're not going to have to walk the can back
to their house with your dog's pooping it.
Speaker 3 (01:46:02):
Yeah, and if and if the cans at the road,
I think, outam, you're right, I think it's near pickup time.
So uh, I think I think you're okay.
Speaker 15 (01:46:11):
I questioned.
Speaker 16 (01:46:12):
I questioned myself a couple of times, but I had
two kids, two dogs, and two bags of two.
Speaker 3 (01:46:18):
No, I think that I think that. I think it's fine.
It is trash and that's a trash can. So and
you and you and you put it in a bag.
I think you're fine.
Speaker 16 (01:46:26):
Yeah, that's right, all right.
Speaker 5 (01:46:27):
Rank.
Speaker 3 (01:46:29):
By the way, unfortunately the audience does not agree with us.
But I'm just saying, I don't think that's that that
that thing? Do you know, Stephen and Huntsville, Stephen, go.
Speaker 25 (01:46:38):
Ahead, what are we going to do about these eggs?
Speaker 3 (01:46:46):
Did you see Bablon b man whose friends made fun
of him for having chickens gets the last last.
Speaker 8 (01:46:55):
I was.
Speaker 25 (01:46:56):
I was actually talking to somebody yesterday from Russia, and
you know, on telegram who got the several friends from
over there Belarus stuff in there sod the bird flu
exists over there too. But now their prices now are
below pre pandemic prices that are a dollar four per ten.
And they don't I don't guess they do the dozen
or Baker does it, but they do ten for a
dollar four, and we're over here ten dollars for eighteen.
Speaker 3 (01:47:20):
Yeah, yes, it's but if.
Speaker 15 (01:47:22):
You google it, if you google it, if you if
you ask Google, it exists.
Speaker 8 (01:47:27):
All you know.
Speaker 25 (01:47:27):
It's in Russia. It's in Europe, all over Europe, but
the prices are not there. So that's And then I've
talked to an insurance guy a couple of days ago
and he had to go, uh, look at some chicken houses.
And the guy told him, he's like, well, these over here,
we've got to kill these because they're supposed to have
the burn flu. These over here don't have the bird flu.
Speaker 3 (01:47:46):
Yeah. I keep being told, like you, it's tied to
the avon flu and that's run the cost of But
you bring up a good point. Why are some places
it's up and some it's not. Maybe it's the severity
of the flu. Maybe I don't know. It's a good
quest question, it really is, because I was just told,
bottom line, it's tied to this avon flu. We've got
(01:48:08):
a supplying demand problem and it'll catch back up and
they'll go down. But then you said, well I've seen
some places where this isn't the case.
Speaker 5 (01:48:16):
Well, they're doing massive kills of these chickens and that's
driving up the price now and that they might not
be doing that in other times.
Speaker 3 (01:48:22):
Well that's true. Yeah, that's a good point. All right,
we'll be back.
Speaker 2 (01:48:27):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. The man who removed
the phrase what's you know good from society?
Speaker 3 (01:48:42):
Rick, Yeah, it was always awkward. I never knew how
to answer that. All right, so we're back. Thanks for
being with us today. We've unpacked a lot, uh and
there's plenty still to come. A special birthday wish. Big
time Rush is our Big Time Rush is not having
a birthday, but I have to get on his good side.
(01:49:04):
He has beautiful children and his fifteen year old daughter,
Ella Grace lets his birthday was on Monday, and I
don't want to throw him under the bus, but he's
just now letting us know. Oh he was like, oh
I should have got a birthday shout out. So anyway,
Ella Grace, I'm sorry that we're just now wishing you
a happy birthday. But I hope you've had a great week.
(01:49:27):
And please talk to your dad about the cash we're
giving away. Tell him it's fine. It's fine. Aren't you
being entertained by hearing people win money? I mean, we're
gonna be all right, So if you would do that,
we sure would appreciate it. And happy birthday. I hope
you've had a great week. So other things that we're
seeing people with this egg thing and the egg the
(01:49:49):
eggs again. You know, it was brought up even at
my house one time that you know, oh, we already
get a chicken coop and have some chickens.
Speaker 5 (01:49:57):
I want chickens.
Speaker 3 (01:49:58):
I want chickens two thumbs down. I would, But now
that I'm looking around the eggs. Yeah. And then I
heard Speed talking about here, I got some neighbors. Man,
they're doing great with it. No, it was the Jaggers,
not the neighbors. They're real farm But yeah, that family
stay out for it, Morgan Academy Hunt and I mean
(01:50:19):
that they do it all and their two daughters. They
do this and they're killing it. Man. I mean they
are doing well, but I bet they are.
Speaker 5 (01:50:26):
They're selling them yes to the.
Speaker 3 (01:50:28):
Local farmers market.
Speaker 5 (01:50:29):
Nice.
Speaker 7 (01:50:30):
Yeah and nice and they they uh, you know, I
love that Guy's quite something that guys.
Speaker 3 (01:50:35):
I'm going on, how much say that? How much do
eggs affect your life?
Speaker 10 (01:50:38):
A lot?
Speaker 7 (01:50:39):
I love eggs. I want eggs them every day.
Speaker 3 (01:50:42):
I like eggs. But if you said, Greg, you ain't
gonna have eggs for like a month or so, I
go have Okay, what about things eggs are used for?
Speaker 4 (01:50:49):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:50:50):
You forget about that you know, that's the ones that
they've forgotten. Yeah, but I do. I will miss that,
I guess. But if you said, just Greg, hey, you
ain't gonna have some eggs for a while, or what's
too much for me to pay for eggs? What it
means to me, I won't. I don't even know what
I pay for them now. I don't look at I have.
I didn't look at it till I was going through
the pig for camp pass eggs and I just had
(01:51:13):
a few items. And also when I heard the price,
and this is this must be what it's like to
be speedy. I mean, all of a sudden they do
that price. I just saw up and I said what
was that?
Speaker 15 (01:51:22):
What?
Speaker 3 (01:51:23):
And I can live without it? And they just pointed
at the eggs and I went, oh wow, the eggs.
Speaker 10 (01:51:28):
Now.
Speaker 7 (01:51:28):
I told you guys about this before the last little
little freeze that we had, and Terry and I ran
around looking for eggs because she wanted to make how something, uh,
and and we couldn't really find any.
Speaker 3 (01:51:38):
She she ran up on on some. Then you know
they'll say organic this.
Speaker 7 (01:51:42):
They're like twelve bucks for a couple of eggs.
Speaker 3 (01:51:46):
A couple of eggs. I still look cage free. Yeah,
does that help? The way got to run around?
Speaker 5 (01:51:56):
We've done this so many times we have before.
Speaker 3 (01:52:00):
You know what bones is gonna be calling? I know
we broke this down before.
Speaker 5 (01:52:04):
It's the yolk color. One's all pale, yellow and dead,
and one's deep.
Speaker 3 (01:52:07):
In more than one of them rich and delicious.
Speaker 5 (01:52:10):
You don't know what you're talking about. But I bought
eighteen eggs for thirteen dollars yesterday, and yes, I bought
the hippie dippy pasture raised eggs.
Speaker 3 (01:52:18):
Well, that's on you. You know, you know they find
out a lot of times Spool just put that stuff
on the lab on us and there's no accountability there.
Who's going out there, chicken out? What do you think
about our cart and put cage free on there? Yeah?
People love that. Do you like cage free or free range? Oh?
I like free range.
Speaker 5 (01:52:36):
None of that means anything, You're right, asture raised has
to be all the words on.
Speaker 7 (01:52:40):
Well, I think the idea and I've told Terry this too,
Miss you know, miss farmer, I want to be a
farmer and uh, I said, you know, the thought of
having chickens, I think that's kind of fun. Yeah, I
want some goats and some chickens, and then it's.
Speaker 3 (01:52:55):
Time to take care of everything, you know, and their
nasty rain shines, sleep snow.
Speaker 7 (01:53:01):
Taken care of, goats are out in the storm. Not
everybody can pull that off.
Speaker 5 (01:53:05):
I want chickens. I want chickens.
Speaker 3 (01:53:08):
Sure you do, you got you got time for chickens?
Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:53:12):
Do that?
Speaker 3 (01:53:12):
Okay, how about this. I don't want chickens even this
much I have. How much do you want chickens? Not
even that much. There is no way that I want chickens,
No way, no way. I don't see any reason for
me to ever have it. If you want a bunch
of snakes in your backyard, I just get them.
Speaker 5 (01:53:26):
Yeah there you know they they the chickens will eat
the snakes.
Speaker 3 (01:53:30):
No, that's turkeys. No, yeah that's not that's guinea You
do you have the perfect setup for chicken I could
have that. Chickens and goats. You know, chicken stink? Somebody
brought that up? Ye smell? They don't smell very ye.
Try clean chicken up. They get you a billy, go
and see how clean he is?
Speaker 5 (01:53:48):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:53:50):
Can you? Speaking of chickens, you got to be so
scared of it. Okay, hey, listen, let's throw that out there,
because you brought it with something. There's greg which is
one hundred percent right. How many things we like the
idea of, but when you get in the reality really
pets in general, the idea of pets is better than
the Actually I got three dogs because of that. Yeah,
But what I'm saying is then there's the other version
(01:54:13):
of it. I like how in my house sometimes others
who are pulling it off will be brought up and
I'm like, love you wonderful people. We're not them. Yeah,
of course they're pulling it off. Have you ever been
around them? Yeah, that's their gifts. But we're not that way.
We won't pull that off. You know, you ever got
that so and so so and so is doing it,
But that's not who we are. I guess we'd be fine.
(01:54:34):
You can go gather in picture me going together eggs.
I was mad because I had to take a dog
out to go to the bathroom. That looks great in
the yard.
Speaker 5 (01:54:42):
It's a cute little chicken tractor.
Speaker 3 (01:54:44):
So you see that right there. You see that and
you think, well, that wouldn't be bad, but you don't
know what it's really like.
Speaker 7 (01:54:50):
And then you got the chickens that you know, they
produce it, and then get a little bit older and
they don't produce as much.
Speaker 5 (01:54:55):
And then now you well, then you make some soup.
Speaker 3 (01:54:58):
Okay, so you're gonna take chicken, kill it, take all
the feathers off of it, gut it, prepare it, and
cook soup.
Speaker 4 (01:55:08):
Like that.
Speaker 5 (01:55:08):
When you say it's harder, it's a lot harder. The
idea of chicken.
Speaker 3 (01:55:14):
You don't walk out there and look at one and
say you're soup and then there's a bowl there and
you're tak it in and eat it. Your barter plays
just decked.
Speaker 7 (01:55:21):
And my wife wanted goats and chicken, so I got
them for it, and now I feed them every day.
Speaker 3 (01:55:25):
Of course you do, Yeah, of course you do. The
idea of it is so much different than the reality
of it. Yeah, it's too the hour.
Speaker 2 (01:55:36):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, big Bucks Entertainment. Please,
Sam's the Rick Burgess Show with Speedy Greg Budget, Yes,
(01:56:01):
Edie Van Adler and Rick Bouches.
Speaker 3 (01:56:07):
Yeah, thank you, Ken Osborn. Brand new hour.
Speaker 5 (01:56:11):
How are we doing?
Speaker 3 (01:56:12):
Brand new show? Wednesday? Bible study back Today we'll finish
the Book of Daniel Daniel Chapter twelve. We'll wrap it
up today noon Central one o'clock Eastern on the Rick
Burgess Show YouTube channel. You can catch it live mar
If you miss it, catch the archive. It'll be out
not long after we're done, and that will also be
(01:56:33):
available on our podcast channel, so with our daily audio archives,
which you can access the entire show every day on
your own time. One thing, Adler, I want to ask you,
since Adler kind of heads up all this and to
see if my answer is right on the text option,
somebody was saying, Hey, I'd love for you guys to
make a video of your interview. Was that yesterday with
(01:56:55):
Pastor Dean and Sarah? Is that yesterday from Tallahassee? Who
will be at the Mancher conference in Panama City. He wrote,
He's written many books, but the one The Unsaved Christian
had a huge impact on the Wednesday Bible Study speaking
of him, and they're asking about the can y'all do
a video of that? I want to share it with
others because his book actually brought me to a saving
(01:57:18):
faith in Christ as well. But can't they just go
to the archive of yesterday and find it?
Speaker 15 (01:57:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:57:23):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:57:24):
In fact, I'm gonna go ahead and go to that
segment and I'll just I'll tweet out a time stamped link, okay,
right now, or I'll send it to you so you
can tweet it out.
Speaker 3 (01:57:36):
Rick, Okay, either way, yeah, okay, so yeah, because yeah,
so we will try to do that for you. And
he said, I want to use it to let others
hear about this book and what he's saying and all
that too. So okay.
Speaker 5 (01:57:46):
Well, in the meantime, it's exactly three hours into yesterday's
show from February fourth.
Speaker 3 (01:57:51):
There you go. All right, thank you, Adam. Here's some things.
You know, we're learning a lot during this new transparency
of our government. We're learning. Yes, we are learning a lot.
And so I didn't know anything about this organization. And
I know we've all spelled it different ways. Is it
US A I D or is it US AID. I've
(01:58:13):
heard it both ways, prominently. I heard it yesterday on
Fox News as US A I D. That's the one.
I keep hearing Tom more than the other, but I
hear the other. So here's the the whole deal. The
Democrats hate this that an government agency that waste our
tax dollars is going to be done away with this.
(01:58:37):
This just takes a leftist and they just have a conniption.
So Chuck Schumer is now questioning the do OGE, the
Department of Government Efficiency. They're furious about this, and they
really are mad that Elon Musk is in charge of
and so Schumer is going to get mad. Then you're
(01:58:57):
going to hear a this, this bizarre rant about how
stupid he is from someone who doesn't know how to
use a garbage to dispose them. So anyway, so here
and that's awol see of course, all right, here's Schumer first.
Speaker 6 (01:59:11):
And the American people, mark my words, The American people
will not stand for an unelected secret group to run
rampant through the executive branch. Being innovative is good, but
mister Musk, this isn't a tech startup. These are public
(01:59:32):
institutions that deal with things like social security and Medicare
and national defense and provide for the well being of
the American people. The American people have a right to
be part of that debate, part of that debate. The
elections occurred and one viewpoint got a few more votes
(01:59:58):
than the other. That doesn't and we throw out democracy.
Speaker 3 (02:00:01):
That's not that's we're tried, youuacracy. People are not upset
that somebody's finally going to whole people accountable who waste
our tax dollars on stupid things. Right, And the things
that you throw in there like you always do, have
already been said. They're not on the table. That's it.
They're so security and medicare they're not involved in this.
(02:00:21):
And you you throw it out there like it is
and it's not because you know it scares people and
that and again you're tired, you're old, and you've been rejected.
Getting new, get new plans, get new you know, sound
bites and let's try something different.
Speaker 7 (02:00:36):
Als sad they are rick just know it's the right
thing to do. Their reaction tells you that it's the
right thing to do. Well also because that's how they're
mad because their money.
Speaker 3 (02:00:45):
Oh yeah, we need to have an opposite view. They think.
When they act angry, that means that we that they
care more. We need to be smart enough to go.
They're acting angry because we're spoiling the party. Yeah, that
we're paying for, So here comes aos. You know, there's
a lot of things that AOC might be able to
get away with I'm not sure that I'm ever gonna
(02:01:06):
let her call anybody stupid, but she's going to, so
here we go.
Speaker 11 (02:01:12):
This dude is probably one of the most unintelligent billionaires
I have ever met or seen or witnessed, which you know,
we can probably even glean that from watching these people
on TV. Anyways, all of that is to say is
that they don't do their homework, clearly, like they're putting
(02:01:35):
nineteen year olds in at the Treasury.
Speaker 2 (02:01:37):
This dude is not smart.
Speaker 5 (02:01:39):
Now, I want you to Elan Musk is not smart.
Speaker 3 (02:01:42):
Okay, alc nothing wrong with getting out there and working hard.
Was a bartender, she seemed to be didn't fully understand
a garbage disposal. She's calling the richest man on planet Earth,
who revolutionized the car industry and is on the verge
of sending a man to Mars for the first time
in human history stupid. Yes, clearly you can say a
(02:02:06):
lot of things about Elon Musk. I don't think stupid's
gonna be It's gonna look weird, yes, okay, Greg.
Speaker 5 (02:02:11):
She prefers her billionaires to be evil like George Soros.
I guess just yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:02:17):
They have not been held accountable.
Speaker 7 (02:02:18):
They've been able to do whatever they want to do,
and they don't like that they've been they're getting you know,
they're getting in trouble. You know, they're having to just
sit down and pay attention. They can't run around the room.
Speaker 3 (02:02:28):
Why, well, it goes back to mel Gibson, Dad's home
and he's taking his belt off. Yeah, it's fact. Well,
when you look at what they're saying on this particular one,
don't miss too that the inconsistency on one side of
the argument. All of us who are not drifting to
(02:02:48):
the electric car or evil in destroying the planet. Elon
Musk has taken that industry to a place no one
else could, Making this a viable option for people are
based on the verge of this, and they can't celebrate
that because he doesn't agree with him on everything. So
if he doesn't agree with him on everything, then now
(02:03:10):
he can't be celebrated. He can't even be patted on
the back for doing something that they kept telling us
we all should do. So it just shows you there's
no real conviction there either.
Speaker 5 (02:03:21):
And this USAID thing is not only wasteful, is pushing DEI,
it's also evil. And Glenn Beck has been talking about this.
If you want that clip Rick there here, I'm going
to say the year as Glenn Beck over the decades
has been railing against us AID and the corruption, and
it's basically a front for the deep state and the CIA.
(02:03:44):
This starts all going. It's legit, this is legit, this
is set up. It's going to start in twenty thirteen.
Speaker 26 (02:03:51):
I have a picture here of an al Qaeda leader
and they are in a us AID tent who signed
the for the initial two hundred thousand dollars payment to
the Islamic Relief Agency, the United States Agency for International Development.
The more you look into USAID, the more shocked you
will become. USAID was running a top secret espionage program
(02:04:15):
to undermine Cuba and push people to dissent. Now, let
me show you how much money we're talking about. It
included a billion dollar sovereign loan guarantee, three hundred and
twenty million dollars in general assistance. So where else the
side the NIH has money been coming from. By far,
(02:04:36):
the largest donors are from USAID and the Department of Defense.
Judicial Watch found that the US State Department and USAID
had been giving millions to the Macedonian arm of George
Soros's Open Society Foundation what for to train youth movements
(02:05:00):
USAID and those are always they're known by anybody who
pays attention as CIA fronts. This is, you know, the
USA I D comes into a country, they start doing things,
and next thing you know, we've got a revolution on
our hands because that's the CIA.
Speaker 19 (02:05:18):
So there it is.
Speaker 3 (02:05:19):
Beck was way out in front of this, and this
is why the left is having a hissy fit and
why Trump and has created this organization of government government efficiency.
And the us AID is not passing the test. It's
got a lot of things going on that are being
(02:05:40):
shut down and as you can see, for some pretty
good reasons. We'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (02:05:46):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. The people who don't
like this show, you wouldn't like anyway, the Rick Burdge's show.
Speaker 3 (02:06:12):
Spend a little time with them. You'll be like, Noah,
no wonder. All right, we are rolling back. Here we
go from the text line, I fought in the Marines
in Fallujah Felushah. From two thousand and four to two
thousand and five, every enemy weapons stash house we rated
was stocked with USA I D supplies. So here we go.
(02:06:36):
They're saying Elin in the gang, and the Trump administration
has ordered it to be shut down completely by Friday.
So hopefully this will end Greg's concern that some of
these things are so courageous that it could anger powerful people.
(02:06:56):
You're worried about. You're worried about you to watch them.
Speaker 18 (02:06:58):
You got this.
Speaker 3 (02:07:00):

Also Rick Burgess show under the sponsor's button, Greg, how
many times now? We don't own cats, so I don't
see this a lot. Anybody gone out into your yard ever,
(02:09:09):
if especially if you have cats, they'll do this and
they kill a shrew. Have you ever seen a shrewd
I have not. Yeah, Moles, I'll bring you a little
present this story. And it seems like every time we
turn around, there's some attempt. You remember bird flu was
going to get us all kinds of these things. What
(02:09:31):
was that other one that was going to get us
all these different things? They're they're calling this potentially deadly
zoonotic virus found in the US, sparking concerns have spread
to humans and the culprit the shrew who's messing with shrews?
(02:09:53):
Greg You realize they're calling this the camp Hill virus
out of camp Hill, Alabama. Stop it. They've hunt there,
they discovered it's some shrews and sweet Home, Alabama, uh,
sparking concerns about potential contate UH that it could be
contagious to humans. It's a h n I P A
(02:10:14):
v I R s Henny Paul virus, annapavirus shrews and
and this zoonotic means it can go from animals to
people and says that it has caused serious disease and
even death and people and animals and other regions. This
(02:10:36):
all comes from the University of Queensland. That's Australia, right,
business they know.
Speaker 7 (02:10:42):
Yeah, well, so we got we got and and other
goats that might get and then we get it.
Speaker 3 (02:10:50):
From the shrew. Uh well hunting camp shrewd flu uh
and it's it says these are short tailed shrews, small
mammal commonly found in the United States and Canada. So
I don't know that.
Speaker 15 (02:11:10):
So so.
Speaker 3 (02:11:13):
I don't I don't know they're they're given. They're giving
us all kinds of scary things from other parts of
the world. But I will tell the rest of the
world if something is discovered in Alabama. You shipped me
near as afraid of it because we'll probably eradicate it
before it ever gets seen of you. You know us,
we will take every shrew and and and remove them
(02:11:33):
from society. Ye, down with the shrew. Yeah, but the
story is weird because it's mentioning like Alabama, but then
it's talking about Queensland. They did the research, they did
the research. How do how does somebody find a shrew
in camp Hill, Alabama and it ends up in Australia. Yeah,
it seems And when did we hunt in camp Hill?
(02:11:55):
Which one was which rode a ticket for Huntover Base?
Speaker 4 (02:11:58):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:11:59):
You with great wow? Well I mean I was innocent.
He didn't know it. Yeah, you were. You were guessed
and you were hunting and you didn't know. Especially, you're
not innocent, You're I was guilty. You're right, yeah, because
you were, you were hunting over bait. You're just saying
you didn't know. I didn't, right, But a long time
ago told the game warden wanted to come in and
eat We all know. Yeah, I didn't make it, but
(02:12:20):
it checked everbody hunting license. Yeah, I'll tell you another
great thing that happened when your dad was on that
on he was you know, you didn't even think about
the best thing ever happened there?
Speaker 15 (02:12:30):
Greg?
Speaker 3 (02:12:31):
Easy?
Speaker 10 (02:12:32):
Easy?
Speaker 3 (02:12:32):
That happened in camp Hill? What's that the thing that
you calls Yeah, I don't know if I call that. Yeah,
I know, what is it?
Speaker 5 (02:12:41):
What are you all talking about?
Speaker 3 (02:12:42):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (02:12:43):
You that was?
Speaker 5 (02:12:44):
Are you just digging a grave?
Speaker 15 (02:12:46):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (02:12:48):
Easy?
Speaker 5 (02:12:49):
We can all see he's on YouTube doing that.
Speaker 3 (02:12:52):
But let's just leave it at that. We didn't bury
a body. Let me say that, I know what Greg's doing.
It looks like we buried someone's body.
Speaker 14 (02:12:57):
We did not.
Speaker 5 (02:12:58):
Okay, that's good, right.
Speaker 3 (02:13:01):
That's also a lot of things happened in Camp Fell
and our hunts.
Speaker 10 (02:13:04):
We did not know that.
Speaker 3 (02:13:05):
Hunting over hunting over bait. Didn't know it, didn't know it.
Speaker 5 (02:13:10):
That thing with a grave yard, that thing that.
Speaker 3 (02:13:12):
Greg's talking about, that maybe the biggest one. That's where
novice novice hunter, novice hunter, a novice hunter. I had
a little hard time distinguishing someone's dog from a cody. Yeah,
remember that novice. Mm hmm. Maybe the collar should have
(02:13:33):
been an indicator. I think that's where JT loaded at
the back of that buick. Yes, trying to make it
back into town. Yeah there, Yes, that's when blow was
coming out of the Yeah, it happened in Birmingham, but
he had left there, but it was there. Yes, a
lot of things happened there. Gosh, Coach was an.
Speaker 7 (02:13:55):
Out, Yeah, Coach was over it was that was over
all in the state, that was on the state line.
Speaker 5 (02:14:02):
That was that one.
Speaker 3 (02:14:03):
I don't think it was. But a lot happen camp
That's where you hunted the Mississippi didn't know it. Hunting
in Mississippi.
Speaker 15 (02:14:10):
That one.
Speaker 3 (02:14:10):
I'm mistaken. It's all right, it's right across. I'm the
only person that's ever done that. You see how easy.
It is Rick only a line Divis this not? Look
a back more of the Rick Burgess.
Speaker 2 (02:14:24):
Show right after this, This is the Rick Burgess Show.
(02:14:53):
Time is running out. The reviews are rolling in on
the twenty twenty five Men Church Conferences to Powerful Weekends
remained Panama City, Florida, February twenty first and twenty second
and Atlanta, Georgia, February twenty eighth and March first. Powerful Worship,
high challenge, strong equippament, and beneficial fellowship with men from
(02:15:15):
all over the country. Get your tickets for a life
changing weekend in Panama City or Atlanta. No at Themanchurch
dot Com. Disciple Men Change Everything, all right?
Speaker 3 (02:15:28):
Yeah, two of those remain coming up Panama City twenty first,
twenty second of this month and in Atlanta the twenty
eighth in March first. And I'm just going to tell you,
guys don't do and I understand their conflicts, I really do.
I do understand that. But I know we've kind of
(02:15:49):
gotten accustom to living in a world that if I
miss something, then somebody's just going to provide it for
me on my own time. And it does happen a lot.
We do that with the show every day. I love
that that technology as well, but I want you to know,
like when when a lot of people have heard all
the testimonies from the Birmingham Man Church and some of
(02:16:09):
you couldn't go, okay, some of you there was a
legitimate excuse, uh, or maybe you just could have gone
and you did whatever the case may be, or anything
in between. And now I'm getting tons of requests, which
I understand, and I'm flattered by, Hey, where can I
go and watch the conference? I didn't make it, but
you can't you know, when you start getting into that,
(02:16:30):
I mean, we have speakers that don't allow that we
have Uh, these are huge files that are hard to
make available to you. It's just not an easy thing
and it's not something that that we uh take on
as an expense to do as well. You know, if
you want to do the thing, well, hey get get
(02:16:51):
get the messages on the way out from the conference.
Uh and if you you know the DVDs that that
doesn't really make sense anymore. So I'm telling you, even
though those things are are wonderful and we and we're
trying our best to look at that nothing will ever
replace being in the room and at the event, and
that's what we focus on. So don't miss it. Don't
(02:17:15):
be sitting there on the Monday following these next two
and all these men talking about this and you're hearing
these things, You're like, oh, Okay, well I didn't. I didn't.
I couldn't get there. I'll just go see if I
can find copies of the messages. It just isn't that simple.
So here's some things that are going on this week,
and those are going on here in a couple of weeks,
but uh, this week, Uh, this Tomorrow night, Hope Whole
(02:17:38):
Community Church. This is just a standalone, you know, man
church gathering for a church that's doing our strategy. Scott
Garowski will be there. We are gonna have What's Eating
Scott Garroski before the month's out.
Speaker 4 (02:17:49):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:17:49):
He will be there coming up tomorrow night. And then
I am honored to be part of another men's conference
this weekend that that's not our conference, but we will
have some resources there and honored to be the guest
of the Dry Bones Men's Conference in Monroe, Louisiana. I'll
speak Saturday, but it starts Friday. Fred Luter will be there. JD.
(02:18:10):
Greer be speaking Phil Walter will be speaking, Charles Billingsley
is doing worship. There's other speakers as well. Get all
those details at the Manchurch dot com under events. So
people are asking off of the text line, so is
your is your farm in camp Hill?
Speaker 1 (02:18:28):
No?
Speaker 3 (02:18:30):
I can see where you all can start confusing. You
guys are talking about hunting trips, and now it seems
like camp House is kind of where y'all go, which
is true. But back in the day when we were
hunting camp Hill, none of us had access to any
hunting land. That was all we're getting invited by people.
This was years ago, but a lot of famous hunting
(02:18:55):
stories from the show. It was not our place rose
out of camp Hill. And and you know, I don't know,
I don't know about this shrew or whatever, but I
know we have some incredible memories of hunting there, including
an encounter with a game warden. Oh yeah, that's right
out of the gate.
Speaker 22 (02:19:14):
And then all the other stories that we shared, some vague,
and all the others and all the other stories, well
the one and what's funny now watch us y'all got
to understand the early days of all of us hunting,
we were we have Camo we will travel yep, and
we would just gather and go.
Speaker 3 (02:19:35):
Guys that we went all kinds of places. So yeah,
to hunt.
Speaker 7 (02:19:39):
We would drive hours just for an afternoon hunt.
Speaker 3 (02:19:41):
And people would invite us places, and and you know,
none of us really had much of anything. We didn't.
We just we were raised in it, so we we
had a love for it. But we we we didn't
have our own. We hunted public land our whole lives.
So when people are starting to I, I know I've
said this before, but I'll say it again just so
(02:20:03):
some of you who do hunt will understand. Great. Same
way when when I've started hunting again in my thirties, Okay,
I had never in my life seen or been in
a shooting house. Never had never seen them, didn't know
what they were I had. I had no concept of that.
(02:20:24):
I had never gone hunting in the morning, came out
for breakfast and lunch, and gone back in the afternoon.
I had no concept of that. Great didn't either. Great
didn't either. We didn't know any of that. We knew
public land, go in at dark, come out at dark,
sit on a ridge. That's all we knew. That's it.
And so these there were a lot of new things
(02:20:45):
that we got exposed to. I'm like, well, I've never
seen I've never done hunting like this before.
Speaker 7 (02:20:50):
Yeah, and really I've only really dear hunted as an adult.
When when I was younger, I kind of played with
it a little bit and went every now, but it
was not like now and and so I was not
hunting at the time when you just saw nothing. The
deer population was not what and you hear stories about
(02:21:11):
the long haul and you don't even see a deer
all day.
Speaker 3 (02:21:14):
No, I didn't even know. I didn't even know our
I heard that our state had deer. I'd never actually
seen one. All I heard was about him. I never
because we never saw them. Matter of fa I didn't
even like deer hunting. That was my least favorite kind
of hunting that we did with our dad because it
had no action. We never saw anything.
Speaker 4 (02:21:35):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (02:21:36):
Now, rabbit hunting and I enjoyed. And then now Greg's
wanting to go squirrel hunting.
Speaker 3 (02:21:41):
Oh yeah, are you about to go, bab were about
to bring that back? Well, we got Cake's got him
a squirrel dog. Okay, speaking a whole speaking him, yeah,
please do? He just text me a few minutes ago
in a camp with us. Now we're gonna have him
call right now. He's available for what. I'm gonna ask
you this question that's on everybody his mind. Oh good,
(02:22:01):
let me let me see if you can your Christmas
decorations still Chris Kringle question good lately? So that didn't help.
So your Christmas decorations are still up, still up and
on display. You liight him up every day? Oh yeah, okay,
I don't have any outside, so it ain't like, why
do you keep acting like that's okay? No, I'm just
saying you wouldn't really know. Well, you mean you wouldn't
(02:22:23):
really know if I walked in your house, I'd know
walking into Santa's village. Okay, So I mean it's I
can't believe it, Greg, I really can't. This is the
longest you' I mean, this is by far the longest
you've ever gone. Don't even turn back around. I'm with you.
I'm just go on in, just go on one, just
just let it. I mean, get okay, don't get him.
(02:22:49):
That's what I need to. Yeah, he's telling me this
year he hasn't even hunted deer much because he's gotten
that squirrel dog and he's having a ball. I haven't
squirrel hundred. I haven't squirrel hundred. I can't never squirrel
hunting with the dog, Oh never, I have never. I didn't.
We used dogs rabbit hunting, but we had dogs rabbit
hunt almost like with deer hunt. To sit in one,
I've gone coon hunting with dogs, obviously.
Speaker 7 (02:23:11):
Yeah, but he's gonna he's gonna call a second.
Speaker 3 (02:23:16):
And I've gone deer hunting with dogs, but I've never.
I've never. When we squirrel hunted, we just we just
we just wouldn't look for squirrels. You and just sat down.
So I take us when we were kids, just give
us something to do. But then you say, Kate is
like putting all the squirrels in the freezer, but he
doesn't really like to eat them. What is he gonna
(02:23:36):
do with What's he gonna do with him? You say,
he's got a freezer full, but he doesn't eat him
his dog hammer, Yeah, he brought it for his grandson.
Which line is he called? He's gonna call the hot line.
He is tied down right now. I tell him, can
he come back?
Speaker 7 (02:23:54):
Well, he's either gonna be a ten tail or At
top of the Okay, he's gonna let me know here in.
Speaker 3 (02:23:58):
A second, Okay, because he's got a in on this Gray.
We had a caller why you when you were take
in take care of Lely? The callers like, have y'all
not had jerff kateway on this hour, And we had
to agree, you've heard it heard let it lie. We
had We had to agree Father Christmas, give us your money. Yeah,
and you're the You're the closest thing to the gritch
(02:24:20):
we have, but yet you're the one that's still doing again.
I've said this, I would like them to be down.
But the fact that I'm not having to fool with
it now, the fact that it would be over with
now nine more months, you're putting them back up. Yeah,
this laid my, We'll be back.
Speaker 2 (02:24:38):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 11 (02:24:51):
Jingle Man, Gingle mal Gingle, mell around there.
Speaker 5 (02:24:55):
Jingle bells wing.
Speaker 3 (02:24:58):
Question music now and the jingle but why is your
Christmas streak still? Jingle bell? Jingle bell, jingle bell again,
jingle bell Frantso just trying to break free? Okay, we
(02:25:20):
don't need to hear Yeah, I cannot wait. Well, if
you're gonna go squirrel hunt with him and Hammer, You're
gonna have to get that tree down. Yeah, huh he love.
Is this his new kick that he's on right, Yes? Yeah, okay,
so yes it is. And and the last I heard
is that he's being successful with Hammer. But he didn't
really like squirrels, but he's got a freezer full of
(02:25:42):
well I don't he said one minute people said squirrel
dumplings are really good. Let me just be honest, and
I have eaten squirrel, I think I have. I will
not eat a squirrel not why not. I'm not going
to if that's wor unless it's like zombie apocalypse or something. No,
if somebody said to me, I'm the best squirrel, No,
I'm not even cooker there is, I would eat it. Well,
I'm not to lean white meat. Again. The squirrel gets
(02:26:06):
a pass because if it's tail, yeah, that fluffy tail
gives it a pass. But a rat look at that tail. Oh,
I know about a possum that. But if somebody just
came to there was not I don't mean, like you know,
I'm not even eating squirrel brains or anything like weird
like that. But if somebody's brought you the meat, it
was shredded it was on your plate. You had some
mashed potatoes, you had some gravy, you got a biscuit.
(02:26:28):
You eat it. Y'all are going to be surprised. I
don't eat a lot of wild game. Who are you?
I really don't what's happening. I've never ate a lot
of it. I think you a little bit of it now.
But I mean, I'm talking about what if somebody prepared it.
I know, I think you're not eating it because you
don't want a fool with it. But I'm talking about
if somebody prepared it for something I would be eating.
(02:26:48):
You give me some cute tenderlin something like that, I'm good,
But everything else so you don't like a deer tenderloin
like in in over the crop pot?
Speaker 14 (02:26:56):
All?
Speaker 3 (02:26:56):
Yeah, I eat that. I mean, that's that's really good,
don't you like you? Have you ever had me take
the cube steak for you and mix it up really
good with some onions and pepper. It's not bad, well
we may, it's not bad. Mad disease. That's fine now,
nothing wrong with it. I'm just saying, if you, if
you are you know, gonna let's I'm just saying, if you,
if you if you kill a deer. Now, You're never
(02:27:18):
gonna do this because I got it. You got the
same problem.
Speaker 10 (02:27:20):
You know.
Speaker 3 (02:27:20):
I try to get my wife on board for it,
and my wife will eat it's some of the deer sometime,
she just doesn't want it all the time. And you know,
you can make chili with the deer meat and all that.
But the only reason why I'm gonna say something that
I will be I see, I think this is where
you're going. The only reason why I eat the deer
meat is because we usually kill a dough every year,
(02:27:44):
or we may take another deer if we see a
good buck, and so I don't want to. I donate
some of it and then I keep some of it.
But if I never had deer meat in my house,
I wouldn't go pursue it. Yeah, that's what you're talking about.
Do I like eat? Do I like eating deer meat
more than I like eating beef?
Speaker 1 (02:28:01):
No?
Speaker 3 (02:28:01):
No, no, our chicken.
Speaker 1 (02:28:03):
No.
Speaker 7 (02:28:03):
I love Watch Greg's face Jerald com com jeral Cage.
Speaker 3 (02:28:10):
Have you heard what Greg is doing?
Speaker 15 (02:28:13):
I have, man, You know I didn't know h yesterday
and and he was the one who filled me in.
You know, there's parts of the show I don't get
to listen to. And I had totally missed that. And
Greg informed me yesterday because he knew.
Speaker 4 (02:28:25):
What was coming.
Speaker 15 (02:28:26):
I guess he's still he still had his Christmas lights
something I'm talking about, I said, Greg Burgess, what has
happened to him?
Speaker 4 (02:28:35):
Can y'all tell me? I haven't been seen him lately?
Is he does he still look the same?
Speaker 15 (02:28:39):
Has he changed as a parent?
Speaker 4 (02:28:42):
Is he get a new haircut? Is he what is
wrong with him? You talking about putting? You talking about
putting a meaning on? Why there's Christmas?
Speaker 3 (02:28:50):
I mean what.
Speaker 4 (02:28:53):
He's going up my body breaking?
Speaker 3 (02:28:56):
Let my money go, Jerald Kates, you have no childhood
friend of Greg burd just in somewhat Greg's nemesis I
throw out of his life. And people were calling yesterday saying,
have y'all told Jerald Kates about this?
Speaker 4 (02:29:12):
Well? You know he took honestly going to suit me
by so much shock. I didn't get a week of
sleep last night. I didn't even know. Every time I
woke up, all I could think about was that twelve
feet Christmas tree this cost you know what it is?
He's afraid to put it up. He's stuff in the
ceiling again.
Speaker 3 (02:29:34):
I do get a little nervous. But all the people
we know, Jerald Kates on the planet, I didn't choose this.
I would have took it now. I'm just I ain't
worth the fight right now. If she wants it up, fine.
Did you ever think Greg would be a guy with
this Christmas tree still up in February?
Speaker 4 (02:29:49):
We absolutely absolutely not. It has wont me away. Why
I won't pull my money back? What happened to him is,
I don't know if if there's some medicine, he's gone,
but bring my money back.
Speaker 3 (02:30:06):
And then he just told a minute ago he don't
lie wall game.
Speaker 15 (02:30:10):
Oh my yeah, well that's that's evident. I mean on
some of our little trips, you know, he knibble little
deer and I can't even tell you what he'd say
on the air, but uh, you know he knibble a
little bit of it. But see, that's the thing I
talked about. There was a day when that boy would
eat bark.
Speaker 4 (02:30:24):
You hear me, I'm seeing the sausages that we cooked
with a pine strong fire. Listen to me.
Speaker 3 (02:30:38):
That's why I'm smoking.
Speaker 4 (02:30:39):
Man. I don't know. I don't know what's happened to him.
I really don't. Old man has creeped up on him.
Old man has creeped up on him so fast it
ain't even funny. I don't know what the count up,
Canach is going to up? That dose still ain't over.

is eight eight eight, the number six big Vox eight
eight eight six two four four eight six nine. Yeah,
(02:35:14):

All the details you need to know about catching the
show live archived something in between Wednesday, Bible study back today.
It'll be live at noon Central one o'clock Eastern and
then archived soon after on our YouTube channel and also
(02:35:35):
our podcast channel. All right, so starting this hour, and
are you you were kind of on fire for this
video and then as you as we talked more about it.
Everybody remember the We talked a little bit the other
day about vehicles you drove when you were younger. Uh,
and you were saying that you actually drove for a
period of time a Nissan two forty SX. Yes, yeah,
(02:35:59):
so did you now what what era of your life
was this? This was my first vehicle, number one vehicle
right out of the gate.
Speaker 5 (02:36:06):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I drove my dad's nineteen eighty
seven gold Volvo station wagon. For a little while you
guys were talking about cars, how cheap they were and
all that. My dad had a rule that whatever I
saved up working, uh, he would match it. So if
I saved up a thousand bucks, he would put down
a thousand And guess how much that Nissan two forty
(02:36:27):
SX was two hundred dollars? And so I was just
thinking about that. And then just this morning we were
talking about some of the some of the weirder stuff
that people like to watch on the internet, right, like
the muck Bang, the people just eating for.
Speaker 3 (02:36:44):
You back to that.
Speaker 5 (02:36:45):
Well, there's there's this whole genre of stuff called ASMR
and it's just like, I don't know, you know that
we've seen the presses, the metal press. It'll be like
here's a bowling ball versus a candle. What will happen
when we smash it? You know all that stuff? Yeah,
exactly which bottle will break? Which bought all this weird stuff? Anyways,
(02:37:06):
I got hung up watching this dude named m D
D excuse me, w D detailing. W D Detailing, right,
and he finds these old vehicles in a barn or whatever, speedy.
So there's you're you're in because we're.
Speaker 6 (02:37:24):
This guy.
Speaker 5 (02:37:24):
They found they found my car. This car has been
sitting since nineteen ninety one. Actually not my actual car, Nora.
I smashed mine into a mailbox, so this one doesn't happen. No,
it was on the way to school. It was unfortunate.
Speaker 4 (02:37:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:37:40):
Sure.
Speaker 5 (02:37:41):
And so I'm watching it and I realized it's got
the same rims and everything.
Speaker 3 (02:37:46):
Reason none of the paint showing. I have no idea
what actual color this is. I don't want to know. Yeah,
I kind of want to find out later. This thing
is covered. There's not a square inch of the whole
entire car that is visible. Oh my god, run my
father in laws. I just got parked and here it's set.
Speaker 5 (02:38:04):
Wow, since ninety six it's been sitting. And then the
cleaning begins. You got pressure washing, you got soap, you
got SuDS, you got brushes.
Speaker 3 (02:38:11):
So it's been there for how long?
Speaker 5 (02:38:12):
Since nineteen ninety six?
Speaker 3 (02:38:13):
Wow? If you start watching these, you can twenty nine stop.
Speaker 5 (02:38:17):
You can't get out of it, right, And plus it's mine,
and so now all these memories are clear. I had
those exact rams and everything, the steering wheel, the stick ship,
and I'm just like, that's my vehicle. And plus it's
great and the sun it's always getting in the wax
and oh nice, the detail is coming out.
Speaker 3 (02:38:33):
Okay, so yeah, so it looks like he got a
silver gray Yeah, yeah, they get probably look when he
got rid of it, right, so.
Speaker 5 (02:38:41):
That he's cleaning up good. Oh it had a moon
roof too, mine.
Speaker 3 (02:38:43):
How the moon roof?
Speaker 6 (02:38:44):
Did it?
Speaker 3 (02:38:44):
Really?
Speaker 4 (02:38:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:38:45):
Right up?
Speaker 5 (02:38:45):
Or he it did lick a little bit? You're right totally.
Speaker 3 (02:38:49):
What do you do with like the I mean, what
kind of shape is the engine in if it's been
sitting this long? They get it going.
Speaker 5 (02:38:55):
He fixes up everything. He gets down in every little
nook and cranny and fixes it. And it's just a
maze using the work that these guys do. And I
can't stop watching.
Speaker 10 (02:39:02):
It, really is.
Speaker 3 (02:39:03):
Would you be willing to put in that kind of
effort for some this lot of work in the barn,
A lot of work? No, I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (02:39:10):
Oh my goodness, what's this? Oh he found a mouse?
Yeah that's for me.
Speaker 3 (02:39:19):
When you had it?
Speaker 1 (02:39:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:39:20):
Oh, he's getting down into the fibers and vacuumting it out.
Speaker 3 (02:39:23):
This is beautiful all right, So so so they get
this all the way back to where they can run
it again.
Speaker 5 (02:39:28):
Yes, yeah, and that's what he does. He's got like
a million followers, more than a million followers on Instagram,
this guy. And the final product is just a mat
all the steering wheel even is I missed that steering
wheel man, This is crazy. I smashed it. I smashed
it so good into that mailbox.
Speaker 3 (02:39:44):
So how much did he pay for this car? How
much do you pay for it?
Speaker 5 (02:39:48):
Good question? He's playing he's paying less than a thousand,
cleaning them up and selling them for tens of thousand,
for sure, you can.
Speaker 3 (02:39:54):
How much you think you could sell one of these far?
If it's if it's cleaned up like this and now
it's it's running again. Anybody know the black book on
this one?
Speaker 5 (02:40:01):
Checking the book or what book is?
Speaker 3 (02:40:03):
Its book? A blue book over Taylor book? What is
a blue book? About blue book?
Speaker 10 (02:40:09):
Kelly?
Speaker 3 (02:40:09):
Kelly?
Speaker 5 (02:40:10):
Blue book just gives you the value?
Speaker 3 (02:40:12):
Okay, So what's black book? That's that's that's just your okay?
Speaker 5 (02:40:16):
Okay, all right, I'm seeing some for around eleven thousand
to forty s X. Okay, so the same year, here's
a ninety one that was my exact year.
Speaker 3 (02:40:26):
It's one thousand and then you got time, yeah, man,
and product and all that. So it takes a little
money to get it ready.
Speaker 5 (02:40:32):
We should do this, We should start a business. No,
and we have eggs, detail cars, we got, We're gonna
have chicken, we got.
Speaker 3 (02:40:42):
We got barns. Yeah, we got barnes. Yeah, yeah, we're
we've got a micro brewery.
Speaker 20 (02:40:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:40:50):
Covers.
Speaker 5 (02:40:51):
Now we're talking. But wow, look at that finished product.
Speaker 3 (02:40:54):
A gun.
Speaker 5 (02:40:55):
It was in a barn for thirty years.
Speaker 3 (02:40:57):
Yours the same color.
Speaker 5 (02:40:58):
Mine was red, So it's kind of chicky. That sucked,
but you know whatever. It was two thousand motorcycle, so
you go, No, it was kind of chicky.
Speaker 3 (02:41:10):
It is not why you have a man van now,
to be kind of masculine like that. Overcompensating, Yeah, not overcompassing, right.
Speaker 7 (02:41:19):
I saw one like yours, Adler, that that that's goals
for you. I know that you want to get that
really set up right, And and one passed me yesterday
and I was like, Adler would die if he saw this.
Speaker 5 (02:41:33):
Vans are cool man?
Speaker 3 (02:41:34):
Did you ever figure out whines are cool man? Did
you ever figure out why? When when you were on
the camp house, the tails from the camp house and
yours wouldn't crank. What happened?
Speaker 5 (02:41:43):
Yeah, I needed a new battery. I did change out
the battery. I had to jump it off a couple
more times, a couple of times before work. In fact,
you might have seen me looking a little frazzle coming
in maybe week two, week three of the show. That's
because I was jumping my car off before the show
that morning a couple of times.
Speaker 3 (02:41:58):
Why would why would you have that kind of scared
at camp house and not get a new battery? Meetings?
Speaker 5 (02:42:02):
Well, yeah, we worked, find it worked fine like the
next time. So you think it's okay and you let
it go and then your kid throws up on you
and you're busy and you know how things are. So
I did change it out myself, one hundred percent. On me,
let me ask you that I do things.
Speaker 3 (02:42:18):
What vehicle was that you had when you first started
working here that you had to go out and jiggle
the battery cable to get the crank every day?
Speaker 5 (02:42:23):
That was the niss On Ultima?
Speaker 3 (02:42:25):
Ultimate? Yeah, Ultimate?
Speaker 5 (02:42:26):
Let me don't you ultimately sucked. I'll tell you that.
Speaker 3 (02:42:31):
The battery you'd have to open the hood you got
to bang the battery around there and cranking.
Speaker 5 (02:42:36):
But this was a stick ship, y'all. And I thought
it was so cool and had the had the headlights
that would come up at you and like, yeah, at you.
Speaker 3 (02:42:46):
You thought you couldn't be cooler. You thought you were
in It.
Speaker 5 (02:42:50):
Did smell like a dog. That smelled like a wet
dog a little bit, but that besides that, it was good.

And pepper you a little bit.
Speaker 3 (02:52:25):
Yeah, that's face it. Yeah, if you hit me with
bird shot, I mean I probably don't even They probably
wouldn't even mess up with a three day weekend, you know.
So all right, let's so you want to go jack Jack,
he didn't got it out, got it ready? I have
to plug out, got him omber foards fuck out my
number four shot? An need to go. What if I
(02:52:46):
hammered down on the squirrel of that twelve game? Belgium
would do that? That was turkey out with this year.
It's a great turkey gun. I had to go get
the twenty bottom of the hour.
Speaker 2 (02:53:00):
This is the Rick Burgess show.
Speaker 3 (02:53:08):
Wow, we'n go around and set up up.
Speaker 4 (02:53:19):
If I'm at the.
Speaker 2 (02:53:22):
Man who has never been fashioned or relate to anything,
Mick burchase.
Speaker 4 (02:53:31):
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (02:53:37):
We're working our way back, and we thank you for
being with us today, and you can be with us
on the Wednesday Bible study. Today we're finishing Daniel chapter twelve.
Today will be the end of that. We start next week,
Lord Willing, we'll study the Book of Job. It's funny,
(02:53:59):
so yeah, a lot of people are the last yesterday
we got, you know, these different shirts and and all that,
and where everybody's saying, Rick, today looks a little better. Well,
I've gone to work out. I've gone with a thicker
shirt today. I think maybe I should just stay in
the world of thicker shirts. I'm going back in time.
Adler was trying to help me. He's he's always there too,
(02:54:22):
you know, as kindly as he can. You know, let
me know when he thinks that. You remember, he was
the one that told me that I had not lost
as much weight as I thought I had. Yeah, he did.
He let me know when I was at two sixty
that you know, keep keep trying good, start good. And
he said in a very kind way, you know he did.
(02:54:43):
It was something like, you're not as skinny as you
think you are. It was very kind. I don't remember
that it was very well in so many words. And
so but I thank you for that because it helped me.
And I know I've still got some work to do.
But so one day I came in a shirt like this,
same style, okay, and this is one of our shirts,
(02:55:03):
you know, from the store. And but he did this,
he did this, and and now I realized what he
was doing. Okay, because of after yesterday's incident and in
my attempt the T shirt didn't go well and all that,
and and so he's he kind of me. He was
like almost enthusiastic. He ran in here and he goes
(02:55:24):
rick that shirt right there you have on. Man, you look,
that's a good shirt on you. And I remember thinking
that's kind of a I mean, kind of aggressive and
and I mean it made me feel good, you know,
for a minute or two. And but I realized what
he's saying is watch your styles. You need to stay
in this style.
Speaker 1 (02:55:43):
Right.
Speaker 3 (02:55:44):
This one looks good, you know why because the one
you wore yesterday didn't. That's what he said, correct that that.
And I'm learning. I'm learning his ways, you know, and
he's he's very helpful to me. I just got to
figure his language out. You know, is his Yeah, and
so that's good. So I do you how do you
like this one happening?
Speaker 5 (02:56:01):
It's it's good, it's great. I'm not having to cut
your nips out of the shot, so that's good.
Speaker 3 (02:56:05):
Yeah, it's always good. Really having to get used to
not seeing him. He's like a ghost. I can I can't, Okay,
we can take We tried it. I thought about the top.
I'm just kidding it now, that's a yeah. I actually
what you what we're talking about is, you know, we've
been redesigning the studio and Adler's done a great job
(02:56:26):
with that. Well, one of the one of the ideas
that we had what what do you call this runner? Yeah,
it's a border order, Yeah, border, it's a window border
that that kind of you know, comes across and it
has the logos on it and the and the and
the company name and and all of that. But but
(02:56:47):
but it's kind of taking Adler away from us. Now
y'all can see because he does a camera shot in there.
And and I will say that I thought it would
look better than it does. I didn't think it was
a thick Yeah, yeah, I thought it was clear, And
then I did I thought the same thing. I was
kind of I thought it was going to be smaller,
and I thought it was going to be clear more clear. Yeah,
(02:57:09):
one at the studio correct, Yes, yeah, that's and so
we can we can try it again, Yeah we can.
I mean it's fine. I just don't like, I can't
see that make face a.
Speaker 7 (02:57:19):
Good idea, talk because it will hide those lights too.
Speaker 5 (02:57:22):
That's a great idea, by the way.
Speaker 3 (02:57:23):
Yeah, and somebody, somebody is.
Speaker 5 (02:57:26):
Like, you're a producer or something, right, somebody is.
Speaker 3 (02:57:28):
Uh, we didn't think that through. Like the Home improvement
is that step lighter in there? I mean I'm being serious,
could you could you open up that step ladder?
Speaker 5 (02:57:42):
And you have some cigarettes in your polker too?
Speaker 3 (02:57:44):
But but but apparently step up on what I'm struggling with.
What I'm struggling with actually has a name that people
are sending me videos of other men and you look, yeah,
it's like g y N E something. It's got a name,
(02:58:06):
and it just means that you know that you protrude
more because like this guy is talking about bench pressing,
but that's not gonna help. No, that's not helping because
it's not a it's not a man boob situation. It's
a it's a protruding. The bench pressing is not. Of course,
I could have probably bench more than this guy. There's
no doubt about that, right because you know, uh, I'm
(02:58:29):
afraid to send it. I should you said I shouldn't
just read things like no.
Speaker 5 (02:58:35):
That's what I was g G y N E C
O M A S T I A gyna. It's kind
of commastia.
Speaker 3 (02:58:47):
Please stop saying I just found it. Okay, And uh,
there's a dude, I does say something that I didn't
know you said. I wish i'd never seen I never
never thought of that means I wish I mean what
breast messed yea, John will come as big Thank you, buddy,
Thanks for making sure we all know that I think
(02:59:08):
it does. Why are we just saying it? But anyway,
some people call it Simon Cowell disease. He struggles.
Speaker 5 (02:59:15):
Oh yeah, I can see that. It seems like that
kind of guy, you know.
Speaker 3 (02:59:18):
Yeah, So that that's and they just say, and so
there's bench bench pressing is not gonna help with that,
you know. So that's.
Speaker 15 (02:59:29):
Hear me.
Speaker 3 (02:59:29):
I was dead on right again. I so wanted to
be geno. But that's fine. Come come now comcials. So
you know what you just we all have you know
(02:59:50):
what said? You brought this up? We didn't, Yeah, no,
because I mean you think I can't see pictures. Well no,
I'm just saying right now we're going. Know what I'm
saying is is you have it?
Speaker 4 (03:00:00):
No?
Speaker 5 (03:00:00):
What what I was the first step.
Speaker 3 (03:00:02):
What I was talking about is I just need to
go with thicker shirts. But that's tough. It is. Let's
just look, that's part of it. Also known as perturbing.
Thank you, Greg. I didn't see. I was trying not.
I thought that we said that the in word different
in word too many times of the day. So I
was just like, you know, maybe we can come up
with a scientific word. But now I don't like the
scientific word because it sounds like something female. So now
(03:00:26):
I don't like that at all.
Speaker 5 (03:00:27):
Yeah, all right here, I don't know what to do. Causes, symptoms, complications,
and prevention. All right, I'm reading right here. Look is
they got Rick's picture here?
Speaker 3 (03:00:34):
There you are? There you go, look on his face.
That's a look everybody has. I like, Man, I don't
think you have.
Speaker 15 (03:00:44):
I didn't have.
Speaker 3 (03:00:46):
Somebody that's not different, that's completely different. That's I don't
know that's but he just said we were going. Somebody
sent me that you're joking around, and I was like, no,
that's not it. Okay, that's not okay, you're off the hook.
You're off that's not me. Okay, you're off the hook.
I'm off the hook.
Speaker 5 (03:01:07):
There's different types. You got five brisk kindo commass to you, comms.
Speaker 3 (03:01:11):
Yes, all that. Wow, Well the I told you wrong.
By the way, somebody just said twenty dollars that I
can't bench my body weight. Well, my body weights now
and I can binge to thirty.
Speaker 5 (03:01:22):
Yeah, that's impressive.
Speaker 3 (03:01:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:01:24):
So if you can bench your body weight, that's great.
Speaker 3 (03:01:26):
Now you can't see you now. Now let me tell
you this. When I wait three or five, I could
not squat you, not even seventy squad. I would struggle
to squatt it. Yeah, but I can now.
Speaker 5 (03:01:39):
Yeah, where are you coming in here?
Speaker 10 (03:01:40):
What do you want?
Speaker 5 (03:01:42):
I don't need no step ladder, I don't well, we
can just move the bands, nips, right height. That's what
we're on right now.
Speaker 3 (03:01:54):
I think he's hitted. Yeah, right, that's it. Yeah, I
don't know, so head a little staff, they said on
the brusher teeth.
Speaker 5 (03:02:02):
Yeah, yeah, I still need one.
Speaker 3 (03:02:05):
We've got I've got some at the house. You want
to be brown, I use that. We have one for
River at the house. I'll bring you in.
Speaker 4 (03:02:11):
Yeah good.
Speaker 15 (03:02:12):
I hope you get up.
Speaker 4 (03:02:19):
Today.
Speaker 3 (03:02:20):
We'll be back wrapping up another hour right there.
Speaker 2 (03:02:25):
This is the Rick Burchers Show, the Voice of Lisa
in an Unreasonable World, The Rick Burchers Show.
Speaker 3 (03:02:49):
Here we go ten minutes to the times. Thanks for
being with us as we wrap up another hour together. Uh,
and we tried to hit it as much of it
as we can today. I think I think you're updated.
If you missed anything today, you need to go back
and catch the archives on your own time. You can
(03:03:09):
do that on the podcast channel, Uh you can. You
can do that on the YouTube channel as well.
Speaker 8 (03:03:18):
Look, I got it.
Speaker 3 (03:03:19):
You know this is the new thing now. Everybody's sending
pictures of them with me. And I can tell you
don't want to get into a great detail, even though
it seems like every time I bring it up, y'all
are more than willing to do so. But the uh,
yeah it is. By the way, people also have know
people sending pictures uh with me with them and you know,
(03:03:43):
it's it's it's just a style of shirt I got,
I gotta get. Well, it's I mean well, and a
lot of you are are are trying to approach the problem.
Can I just do this delicately because I know some
people like, I mean, let's hearing y'all say this certain
things over and over again. Just if you can handle
this delicately, you know, that's always us as uh. The
people are trying to go after this from a wrong
(03:04:06):
point of view. It is not a mass problem. It
is it is all focused on it's all focused on
just the point, okay. They the other ground is appropriate
size and where it should be and and actually in
decent shape for my agent. But it's it's it's on
(03:04:28):
the outer it's on the outer edge.
Speaker 4 (03:04:31):
You know.
Speaker 3 (03:04:31):
It is a you know, you need to wear safety guard.
It's all yeah, and you know, and as long as
and Matthew makes a great, great shirt. Yes, and we
love them. And some people can't wear them. Some people
they're they're very very some people can't wear them very thing.
And I've tried everything and I just have to realize
(03:04:52):
it very comfortable shirt. My wife's been through it, trying
to take pictures sometimes She's like, well, good gracious, can
you turn to your side.
Speaker 5 (03:04:59):
Or something they have like the red eye remover and
photos removing?
Speaker 3 (03:05:05):
You know what, that's not about idea. I don't think
he was listening.
Speaker 4 (03:05:08):
Now.
Speaker 3 (03:05:08):
If there's one thing Adler ignored at the air, that's
the business Summit is the less is more speech they gave,
and it's he's just missed it. Now let me say
right here, how did that? Let's look at this. What
do you think on the hoodie there that.
Speaker 5 (03:05:27):
I can see it? I mean, do we care that
we can see it?
Speaker 3 (03:05:31):
Adler? I put the step stool in there. Would you
use body? I put it back away. I'll use your hairline.
Speaker 5 (03:05:36):
That's fine. You're just jealous.
Speaker 20 (03:05:40):
You know.
Speaker 3 (03:05:40):
If we can't see him, he can't see us. That's
got to be feel like you're in a box. And
do you feel like you're not on the outside looking in? Adler?
I know you felt that way emotionally for a while.
Speaker 5 (03:05:49):
I'm looking at monitors, looking at the okay, looking at
y'all on the screens. Anyways, unless it's like something like, hey,
I got that video for you, ready to go it?
Otherwise I'm.
Speaker 3 (03:05:59):
Is that the voice? All right?
Speaker 15 (03:06:03):
So?
Speaker 3 (03:06:03):
It's just it's just one picture after another night. I
will say that I had on my bed cover on
my truck. You had a little holding in it, and
I put some grilla tape on it. That stuff's thick. Yeah, okay,
yeah I should your skin. I shouldn't coming on everybody go, well,
now your problem is you look funny without skin. Yeah,
that's right.
Speaker 5 (03:06:22):
So cut glass though, Rick, you could cut glass.
Speaker 3 (03:06:25):
I could. As a matter of fact, somebody said, I'm
going to etch the logo in the window. We want
to need the that's it. I'm wearing cardigans. How did
I just sent you an email for what we see? Okay,
so you would understand. Look, we tried the banners on
the windows. They're too big. That was Adler me trying
(03:06:50):
to do that over there, and for some reason they
sent us something that would have helped us, and neither
one of us noticed. It was right beside you.
Speaker 5 (03:06:58):
Here's a big shift. Here's a picture of Rick with
his shirt off, and it's wow, my goodness.
Speaker 3 (03:07:03):
Okay, thank you checked the picture I sent you. Okay,
Greg and I are going to start a podcast called
bow Legg and Nip. I go for the last today. Yeah, Well,
there's nothing wrong. What what is the scientific word? And
we even call it? What do you just say? Nip
(03:07:24):
right close. I know you're I know you had. You
went through a run on the show being the trying.
That's that's you. I mean, that is not doctor, that
is that's our that's gotta be uncomfortable.
Speaker 5 (03:07:37):
That's fine, that's fine.
Speaker 3 (03:07:43):
No one can see we tried. Look at the forehead
and they're talking.
Speaker 7 (03:07:47):
All right, I'll put this on my Instagram story so
you can see what I'm talking about.
Speaker 3 (03:07:51):
Here goes, look look at you. Look, that's that's me
somewhere around what to eighty five Ruther there there you go,
huh yeah, that's when I was trying to help.
Speaker 5 (03:08:01):
Me, Rick, you're not skinny yet. I think it was.
That's how I said.
Speaker 3 (03:08:05):
It was, well, yeah, I encourage you.
Speaker 15 (03:08:08):
That was that.
Speaker 3 (03:08:09):
Look you know what that that helped me once I recovered.
Speaker 5 (03:08:13):
Hey, straight up though, I will see some video footage
from like five years ago and said, oh wow, Rick
was bigger than I remembered.
Speaker 3 (03:08:19):
So with time, you never know, you forget how big
you were everything. That's why I can't watch the tour
twenty years two or tour because I was what Oh, yeah,
well this picture we had out in the hall for
years that I hated. That was rough. Yeah, well you
know in the old days, us updating anything. Not really
not really priority, no, but but the but when you
(03:08:43):
looked good, like I said, like I said, before you realize.
Speaker 4 (03:08:58):
It is so good.
Speaker 3 (03:09:00):
Look a look at So we discussed that when he
wears that suit, he may as well be naked. That's true,
because it's all there. That's true. It is, it is true.
So let me ask you this, Addler, have you ever
been land? Have you ever I mean ever been large?
I mean not loud you are? Have you ever been heavy?
Speaker 5 (03:09:18):
I think the fastest I've ever been is right now, honestly,
hanging out with.
Speaker 3 (03:09:20):
You guys, it's rough here. You're gonna move up a
weight class in the jiu jitsu class. So other than
Addler on the twenty of your tour. As far as
our heaviness as a team, it's been individually heavier, but
as a team, that's the heaviest championship wrestling with his
tag teams, they say, I combined way. Yeah, look look
(03:09:48):
at that good. Yeah you're not that heavy. I thought
you were heavier on the twenty heavy pressure. Greg, what's
the heavies You've two thirty five to thirty five?
Speaker 8 (03:10:02):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (03:10:03):
I feel good at two thirty five. Rick, you saw
the picture of me and you. I was a little
bit right. What's the biggest you ever?
Speaker 7 (03:10:08):
Ben speaking, I think maybe two o five. That's you're
what six one?
Speaker 3 (03:10:13):
I was six one?
Speaker 7 (03:10:14):
But I think I think if as you get older,
you actually shrink. I think I'm more like six foot now.
I don't know if it's just the pressure of the
world and the family.
Speaker 4 (03:10:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:10:24):
When I was growing up, I wanted to gain weight
so bad. Yeah, and I would try and try and try. Well,
you learn now when I don't want to gain weight,
I have no problem. Gaining weight has never been an
issue for me. My goodness, man, it's trying not to. Yeah.
Do you remember when I was looking at that picture
of me and you, the difference in the size that
was around the age we go to the public swimming pool.
This was like a circus act. Rick would go under
(03:10:44):
the water and I would stand on his shoulders and
he would come up and throw me as high as
he could, and I'd do a backflip and the crowd
would go nue We thought we were show me so
high we thought we were so and he would be
squatted down on the water and he would explode out
of the water.
Speaker 5 (03:10:57):
And my dad would do that. I know.
Speaker 3 (03:11:01):
Yeah, I was as big as your day, bigger. So
that's a while what I'm doing there, something I guess
I obviously was looking for something like I'm into it. Yeah,
I've got some you know about this, Medea, I've got
some struggles. We've been very clear about it now, because
(03:11:22):
you can't start to fix a struggle if you want to,
you know, embrace it and acknowledge it. But at least
I only have two I mean you have three, that's true.
If you've got three of them nips, get.
Speaker 5 (03:11:31):
Out of here trying it for Mississippi, that's you.
Speaker 3 (03:11:34):
I don't know you had like a look at it.
I don't know if it is officially one. I don't
know if well, we examined it years ago, but over
time it might have died and that does up. People
were born with another finger, right, But it's not like
there's something there and yeah, it's more like this, right
(03:11:55):
if I went here and here, okay, we're and we're here. Yeah,
it's just it's just this little it's right there. I mean,
it's not like, you know, all right here, and I
mean it shouldn't have a name, no, but it's uh,
I was just drawing, drawing an offensive play, you know
what it is. Sweetie on his body says, you know
you're not all that prominent, but I just kind of
(03:12:16):
wish you weren't here. Yeah you know, yeah, yeah, not
gonna notice it, but you're not that disruptive. But if
I could get.
Speaker 7 (03:12:23):
You to leave, I would because when I touch it,
it's not like the others I got.
Speaker 3 (03:12:27):
I mean, that's not that I know.
Speaker 15 (03:12:28):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (03:12:29):
You think I don't know? I got you?
Speaker 8 (03:12:35):
All right?
Speaker 3 (03:12:35):
Thanks for being with us. As we wrap up another hour, uh,
we'll chat with you on another edition of the show.
Ar you got more today? There'll be something coming out.
Speaker 2 (03:12:45):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
