Speaker 2 (00:28):
Thank you, Ken Osborn. Here we go, a brand new hour,
on a brand new day, on a brand new show.
It is the Rick Burgers Show with Speedy, Greg and Adler.
As you just heard, and we are ready to go. Man,
we are a lot to do today. We'll unpack another day.
Could the will of Bundlesmiths and Bucks spend randomly at

(00:51):
any time for some lucky Rick Burgers Show listener or viewer, Yes,
could happen at any time. I'll tell you what we'll
happens today. We'll all get to enjoy Speedy going out
and abouts and we'll ask the question, can you get
Speedy to buy you lunch? Wait? Yeah, So be paying attention.

(01:13):
And also if you're out and about today, be looking
to see if you see one Calvin's Speedy Wilbert. So
that'll be happening today Wednesday. Bible study back today, Daniel
chapter eleven, A little nervous about it. That'll be noon Central,
one o'clock Eastern on our YouTube channel. And then after
it gets that archive out for you not too long

(01:36):
after on the YouTube and the podcast channel as well. Hey,
thanks for your feedback because we're getting close to Daniel
being over. Some of your suggestions and email yesterday on
what book of the Bible to do next? Good stuff.
Thank you for that. All right, so we have a
lot to unpack today. We will look at you know

(01:57):
now that Trump is going to be an all you're ready,
Lord Willing coming up on Monday, you know, the his administration.
Pete hegseeth this bizarre circus with him yesterday. We've got
some gold from there. It looks like that Joey Bahar
is upset with Carrie Underwood. I bet that'll all make

(02:19):
us feel pleasant. So we have some other stories that
we'll cover two kind of keep you informed, but we'll
also update you with everything going on within the show.
So watching the text option y'all didn't take long. And
here here's one that came in four minutes into the
show starting, and it says, Rick, I am sorry you

(02:41):
got hurt dancing yesterday. By the way, if you miss
that in the archive yesterday, go enjoy that. There's some
sadness to it, but you can laugh at my expense.
It's worth it. But I wanted you to know that
I was literally crying driving on my fork lift through
the shop, people looking at me. I'm sorry, that was
really funny. Hey, that's okay. Yeah, that's okay. I mean, uh,

(03:06):
you know, laughing at old people's expense, that's that's we've
certainly done it. When you choose to dance hard, that's good.
I mean, yeah, that's a possibility that can happen. Guys,
you don't understand. That was one of those you know
how as you're going through the process of aging and
you have to take notes. Took a note on that. Yeah,
and the little sore, little sore. Yeah, Adler, thanks for

(03:28):
checking on me before bedtime last night. Thank you, Bud.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, I wanted to check on your dance injury.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
By the way, if you're catching the show right now
and you're like, I got no idea what you are
talking about, don't worry these people, as we always have done.
If anybody here has an issue, we'll document it for
you and we'll put it out there. You can watch
as many times you want. Yeah. So so, yeah, I
will say the audio has got its own fun. But

(03:57):
when you see me take the the hit from the
snipper that that's probably the imaginary sniper during the dance,
and the fact that it happened while dancing, and the
fact that it was revealed. We didn't see it. No,
you told us that you hurt yourself, and all of
a sudden, Adler, with excitement in his voice, Hey, hey, hey,

(04:19):
I got something. I got something, so excited and it
being so clear what we're looking at, I mean, because
we didn't know, we had no idea this happened until
you start talking about so Lader jumps back and hein't finds.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
Some old right there, good town. From excitement, I'm hurt.
You know, if it's hilarious, it is if you yeah, if.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
You missed it. If you missed it, Adler of course
has it ready to go. This was you know, we
we have this playing anytime, and this is not it.
So don't start calling. But when when we're ready for
the for the wheel to the starts now right here,
I'm kind of wanting to dance when when this part starts.
But here's here's where I got I get her right here,

(05:02):
I got to go. I got heard right there. When
what it was is I was I was dancing and
I went to do that hip turn. Yeah, and that
and then the hip transition and the transition and the
hip got you. That the hip got me. And I'm
going to openly ad meant something. Uh, And I'll have
to admit it to a friend of mine yesterday it

(05:26):
had because we had a meeting yesterday. I'm sorry, I'm
just gonna admit it. I'm admitted because I wasn't ready yet.
Later in the day I was ready to embrace it,
but I wasn't ready yet. It happened too quick after
the show was over and when the embarrassment was still
on me. So, as y'all know, have I mentioned I
don't even know if I've ever even talked about this.
I played a little ball, oh that I meant. Have
I mentioned that before? Yeah? And uh? And so I

(05:50):
had a a pretty uh substantial foot injury that that
still kind of haunts me to this day. You know,
I played eighties and got hurt and got hurt play professional.
And so right after we were done with the show,
about an hour after, maybe a little more, there was

(06:10):
a meeting among the team uh for man Church. Because
we have three conferences and one of them is one
week from Friday. Okay, So we're having kind of our
skull session, skin everything in order. And so you know,
one of the guys on the team is a marine,
because I know you don't say former Marine center five

(06:30):
for one, Andy Blanks odd that a marine has second
hand embarrassment, but he does and a lot. He's seen
a lot. And so we are having our meeting and
I get up to go get something out of the
office and I'm struggling, and Blank says you struggling with
you old football injury to day And I said, yeah,

(06:52):
probably cold weather coming back in again. And I couldn't
tell him that I was injured dancing. I let that
see it, and I never corrected it. He's that's an
old football injury. And I see limping a little bit today.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
It flares up every now and then. But they're sitting
for a while. So are we gonna look at it?

Speaker 3 (07:11):
And we probably should just see.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
This is for the people that may, I guess, is
what we do now. If there's any part of the
audience that didn't see your shame, the team will make
sure everybody gets a chance to see it. So in
case you don't watch us on YouTube normally, are live
or whatever, you don't stay with the host show, and
you didn't see yesterday's archive yet, Let's be sure you
get a chance for the folks that listen during this

(07:36):
part of the show. So here here it is in
real time yesterday. But you have to cover the music
on YouTube. Okay, so here we go.

Speaker 7 (07:46):
So we got a brand new hour, so we're going
this far with it. And that's now the music playing,
all right, So here we go.

Speaker 8 (07:59):
It is.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
That never get some that's that thing, that's that moment.
If you notice, and if you learn this is this
is one thing that comes with age. Did you notice
my body? I tried to shut it down and not
move another inch because I knew whatever was happening would
only be made worse if I continued to push. You
just fall into back to go back to hosting hurt.

(08:31):
So yeah, so it was so okay. Now people are saying,
just so you know, Speedy, just whenever y'all start doing
bass of the shows on this show, just go ahead
and put that one in it. Okay, we got one
somebody asking have I turned this into workers comp That's
a good one. I had some other embarrassing moments with it. Yesterday,

(08:54):
you know, in the rest of your life, because keep
in mind what's ahead for you unless you can just
not remice and not not limp what's ahead for you.
Are now multiple ask about you? What your wife's gonna
ask about it? Uh? And yesterday was actually a workout day,
so trainer Sean, he's going to ask about it. You'd
have to say something. If you're about to be put
through a workout, you got to say, hey, I may

(09:16):
have an issue. Did you trying to use it to
your advantage a little bit? If you a little bit,
I'll cover that when we come back a little bit.
I had one of them as a good opportunity. By
the way, yesterday I kind of I got to ask
some tough questions from Trainer Sean, and involving this show

(09:36):
took some tough questions. There was a moment I almost
thought to myself, am I like in trouble or something?
So we'll h We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Only in America? Could
these wore men do this for a living? God bless America.

(10:10):
This is the wick.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I'm glad you're here. Anybody, anybody got to fill the
greens yet I have Hell yeah, do you think I
ain't our head of scoop ready to go? And if
you are looking to improve your help, this is one
thing that that we've all learned. Okay, we've learned it.
A couple of things you cannot especially the older you get.

(10:41):
You cannot out exercise, bad eating. You can't do it.
Trust me. You think birds hadn't tried? Oh large, how
many things you think I've ever done tried to do
a little better? Well, one of the things that you
can't do. If the nutrition isn't there, you've got problems.
You're body has to have the right fuel. You know,

(11:02):
you've heard people say before, well, hey, it's just countering, counting,
that's all it is. Well, but where are those calories
coming from? It really does matter. If you're eating bad food,
that's that's bad fuel for the body. Your vital organs
are desperately in need of certain fruits and vegetables five

(11:23):
servings a day. But I don't I mean, my hand
is up. I can't get I don't get that in
on my own. But with field of greens ado and
boy have I seen the difference coming off holidays. That's
what I'm about to get into I was lectured a
little bit yesterday about leaving the plan because you forget
when you do this show, people just hear it, and

(11:43):
they hear you talking about all the things you've been eating.
And you know who else was listening to the show,
Seanda Trainer, and I was taking a task about that yesterday.
But anyway, so back to making sure I get the
nutrition is through through Field of Greens scientifically studied. It's
not like some of the other attempts at this, some

(12:04):
of these other drinks out there in supplements. We're not
talking about produce. You know, let's go grab some stuff
out of the produce. These doctors have scientifically picked the
ripe fruits and vegetables, and they're so confident that Field
of Greens will be a game changer for your health
like it has been for mine, that they'll give you
money back if that doesn't happen, if your doctor doesn't

(12:26):
notice it next time you go do the numbers. And
you know what else, now more than ever, got to
keep that immune system strong, and Field of Greens absolutely
has helped with that. So go to fieldogreens dot com
twenty percent off use the code Big Vox. Also look
for our link at rickburgesshow dot com under sponsors. I
can't wait to hear how much this is helping you too,

(12:48):
all right. So speaking of that, that parlay's right into
what I was going to tell you. So there's the moment,
and you know, and we've tried all these different things,
and you know, it is weird. And this is one
of the questions that I was asked about yesterday. Guys.
You know, we just do what we do and we
are what we are, okay, but it was a legitimate

(13:08):
question that I had not really thought about. And so
I had not seen Sean the trainer since we went
on vacation. Okay, Now I've seen Mike who who who
works for Sean a couple of times since we got back.
Never saw either one of them on vacation, But I
was sent in home workouts that I was supposed to

(13:30):
be doing. Oh yeah, that means the reason why I
went the route of having someone standing there is because
you can send me all the workouts in the world.
But I've noticed that if I'm my own trainer, I'm
very very lenient on myself, okay. And you don't count
reps either when you're your.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Own trainer guess to me.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Yeah, so anyway, so this is a legitimate question from
from one Shawn the trainer. By the way, think about us, guys,
how funny this must look? He said, Well, I said,
I said, beside about the new show, thank you from
a new shirt, okay, And he said, looked around the website, man,
looks good, good website. Thank you, thank you very much, Sean.

(14:12):
So what is this RIX picks? And I said, well,
you know, if you'll notice there, that's that's where I have.
That's where I have That's that's where I have my
health plan for people too. He goes, yeah, I noticed that.
Loo's kind of weird to see your health plan next
to Lisa's coffee punch recipe, Sherry's chocolate biscuit recipe, Nana's

(14:34):
sausage balls. He goes, all I'm hearing when I when
I turn on the new show, is all this stuff
you've been eating? And I was like, well, I mean
Rix broccoli, I said, but the health plans right there.
He goes, it does look odd on that list. I said, no, no, no,
that that's people. You know, I said, you do things
like that, you know, moderation And he goes, so, how

(14:55):
did moderation go over the holidays? How much you weigh
in right now? I said, well, you know, I started
about working out last week. He goes, yeah, Mike said,
y'all did good. But so you put you put some
weight on over the holidays? Well, I mean, I said, uh,
I said I did, I did? You You're not supposed
to wear yourself every day?

Speaker 5 (15:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (15:14):
And then uh. And then he said all right, well,
well let's get to work. Then came this, so I'm
surviving that, And then I couldn't help I guess like
an idiot. I said, you ever tried coffee punch? He goes, no, no,
it looks like death death by cup And I said, well, wow,
it almost was for Greg's father in law. And and

(15:34):
then he said uh. And I said, well, I'll tell
you trainer. Mike seemed really intrigued by chocolate biscuits. He goes,
I bet he did. He started laughing. He goes, he go,
Mike's got a bread problem. And I was like, okay, okay,
and so I realized this is going nowhere, and so uh.
Then he says, okay, so before we get started any issues, Well,

(15:54):
now he's wont to say about the physical missterry. How
you doing on the boot? My I said, you did
really good to consume you got that boot on last week. Okay,
I'm really proud of you. And I'll tell you what.
How you kicking? Hold athlete back?

Speaker 9 (16:07):
Right?

Speaker 10 (16:08):
Rick?

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Everything? All right? Got any issues? We might want to
watch my hip today? What's going on with your hip?

Speaker 4 (16:20):
You?

Speaker 11 (16:21):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Well, you know I've got a slightly torn labor them
there right right? Does that bother you? Well? Uh, probably
more today than it has recently? Lit flirted up? What happened?

Speaker 12 (16:34):
Did you?

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Would you do something what Joe we've been doing? Decided
to go out and try to play play the boys?
Is in twenty one or something?

Speaker 13 (16:41):
No, sir?

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Now? And now I'm saying sir to a guy who
is like as old as one of my kids. Okay,
and uh and he says, well, what's going on? I mean,
what what do we need to stay away from? Well?
Anything involved in my hip? Probably? What is it? Muscular?
Is is it?

Speaker 11 (16:57):
What?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
What's wrong with your hip? Uh? Well, I hurt my hip.
I think it's muscular. Something kind of gave way today
and it's a it's a little bit tender. Okay. What happened.
It was just something at work. How could you get
hurt at work? And I was like, well, dancing, And

(17:21):
he said, did you say dancing? And I said, I
did say dancing at work? Why are you dancing at work?
I said, because the beat took a hold of me.
I don't know the other way to say it was.
I said, it's just to clarify it was, you know,
I was dancing, you know, for the will of bundles,
bits and bucks. And and then once again, what we've said,

(17:42):
as long as we've been doing this, what we what
we do for a living is just weird. Okay, it
doesn't fit into people's conversations who have like real jobs.
It doesn't fit dancing injuries normally not associated now, but
you know, you know, you could see it like a
physical trainer working with a professional dancer. Yeah, you know,
stress fracture, ballet dancer, all that. So uh so anyway,

(18:08):
he said behind the counter, yeah, he said, well, let's
just watch it today and see if you can push
through the dancing injury. And uh and I did. I
got to fine. You don't want to be held back
by dancing. No, no, but it's uh, it's hey, it's sore.
So hey see if you can do that, Moven.

Speaker 8 (18:25):
No, so when you fill out the paperwork, is it
like uh for cliff injury?

Speaker 3 (18:29):
No, nothing like that. Dancing Actually.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
You know smiley face or frownie face? Where did you learn? Yeah?
I love that when it was the one on the
video is the.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Rick Burgess show.

Speaker 14 (19:05):
Warning.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
In order to truly benefit from this show, you must
have a sense of humor. So like enough Francis and
enjoy the Rick Bridgish Show.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Here we go. All right, we got but at some
point today people are going to see if they can
get Speedy to buy them lunch. It's it's not an
easy thing. We send Speedy out with five twenties.

Speaker 11 (19:37):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
And if you make Speedy say the word that I
whisper in your ear, then he gives you a twenty
for your lunch. Everybody said, somebody's saying that the face
on the video, I look like President Biden when he's lost.

Speaker 11 (19:51):
You did.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Yeah, it's a good good kid. Good kid. By the way,
I think we all, I think we all continued to
marvel at John Daily, John Daily. I don't even know
what to say about John Daily, John Daily. If I
have this right, John Daly needed to make some changes

(20:15):
in his life, many changes health wise, lifestyle, all of this,
and he tried it, and and and he didn't enjoy it,
and and if I remember his his game got worse.
And then he just went back to saying, I think
I played better when I was smoking and drinking and
eating whatever I want? Is that correct? Correct me if

(20:36):
I'm wrongde I imagine that he had a battle with
bladder cancer at one point, did he quick? I don't
thank you. I'm just saying something else is overcome again.
I don't have bladder.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
You're when you talked about John Daily and the way
he acted, You're right, okay, because he did. He tried
to fool I'm gonna eat better. I'm turning my life
life around as far as the drinking and the smoking.
And then he realized he was miserable when he did that.
His game was terrible. So he went back and said,
I'm just happier you're doing smoking a cigarette. Wh he's
tee and on.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Yeah, my goodness.

Speaker 8 (21:11):
In twenty twenty, he had surgery to remove the cancer.
But according to this article right here, the cancer has
an eighty five percent chance of returning.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Oh wow, yeah, yike.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Somehow I think that didn't even make it get hy. Yeah,
but it wouldn't that when now this is even more
of a story because I think I would. I would
think if you had a doctor and you had a
cancer scare and they got you through it and said, look,
you got to make some changes to give your body
the best shot to think this has got an eighty
five percent chance of returning, that would have been a motivator.

(21:46):
You would think, right, yeah, yeah, that's my point. I
threw that in there because you had, you know, regular
health problems, you know your bad numbers. But he's like,
you remember the episode that we loved on w KRAP
when they were doing the showing how alcohol fects you
and Johnny favor Is, you got more drinks, they would
make you do the coordination and the more you drank,
the better you got. Instead of going the other way,

(22:08):
he was actually getting better. Yeah, yeah, that guy. I've
never seen this before.

Speaker 8 (22:15):
Daily added, and this was from the twenty twenty article.
I'm counting the minutes before I can have a cigarette,
but I'm trying to quit smoking. My doctors are saying
it's not too late, and smoking in particular, this is
no longer a quote from his But that's a prominent cause.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Of bladder cancer. Yes, where cigarette smoke, My goodness, must
be a trick.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
I've never seen.

Speaker 14 (22:39):
Tricks.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Blowing rings was impressive, all right, So he's blowing rings
now I gotta see it. But anyway, Uh, the reason
why I bring you had cancer, guys, you forgot right? Well, no,
if he's not gonna take any more seriously than okay,

(23:02):
good point, supposed to do good good point. But the
reason why I bring up John daily is there is
today Speedy threw a story down today that he's announced
that he underwent emergency hand surgery, that nobody knew that
he did emergency hands emergent How do you have emergency hands?
Have an accident? Yeah, I'm not going to say a thing.
I was injured dancing. But anyway, he's now let everybody

(23:25):
know on social media because that's what we do now. Uh,
he had emergency hand surgery. He said it went great. Uh,
doctor whatever whatever or something taking care of me. Be
back playing in no time. So thanks for getting me mended.
Should be should be hitting him again soon. So he

(23:47):
does still play? Oh yeah, he plays on the Senior Tour. Yeah,
or whatever it's called. Was it called Champions Tour, Legends? Legends?
Was it Champions?

Speaker 5 (23:56):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
You got champions? Okay, get it and don't forget. He'll
pull that guitar and go to town, especially at the program.
So so is he? Is he what happened to his hand?
He's not telling us. I know I got emergency hand surgery. Yeah,
I had sure punch the wall. I was just about
to say that. What raise your hand if you think

(24:17):
had something to do with drinking. My hand is up. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
I think I saw the world's number one, Scotty Scheffler.
He had to pull out of a tournament because and
I want to say it was in Hawaii. I can't
remember where it was. Anyway, he had to pull out
because of a hand injury. Heard it in the kitchen
like over the holidays, cutting some Yeah. Yeah, and he
had to pull out of a tournament. Hands kind of important.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Well, if you're a golfer, you're holding holding all right.
So here's what you know, Because we have a number
of doctors in the audience. Here's someone saying, to your point, Adler,
the filtering of nicotine by the kidney and bladder is
where the cancer comes from. How about that. That's why
it's tied to smoking. Hmm, wow, nicotine not our friend,

(25:03):
not our friend.

Speaker 8 (25:05):
Well, the jury's coming back in. You know the jury
was out. It's coming back in.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Oh really, you're you're joking right, No, it.

Speaker 8 (25:13):
Is, Actually it's it's Nicotine has had a huge, huge
resurgence in its use, especially with these these smokeless tobacco
packs that people used, uh z Zen's or whateverever you
say it.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
It's very, very, very popular, and it's crazy.

Speaker 8 (25:34):
These health podcast hosts are starting to advocate for its
mental it's cognitive benefits.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Nicotine.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Nicotine.

Speaker 8 (25:44):
I'm just saying. I'm not saying I agree with that,
but I don't do that. But it's it is something.
Tucker Carlson huge on it. Weird, it's weird.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Well, Tucker Carlson says that he thinks clearer when he
takes in nicotine. It is how is he taking it
in zen Zen's? Now, what's the difference in that and dipping?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
It's in a packet, But I remember the dip.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Folks came out with a packet version. One time. It
was eating everyboy's gums up bands. Yeah, by the way
it was. So, so what's the difference between that and
a bandit?

Speaker 3 (26:19):
I think zen's are just a bandit basically.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Tobacco, right, they're just okay, that's what I'm a nicotine
in there. So there's no don't I don't know, somebody
bring a cam.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Try what's in a zen zen pouches? What's in it?

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Thank you? That's exactly what we're asking. You're repeating, you're
repeating our question back to us.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Oh my goodness, it's so it's nicotine salt.

Speaker 8 (26:45):
Okay, somebody go get one a pharmaceutical or pharmaceutical grade
version of the same uh nicotine that's found in atlant.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Okay, are you okay? Here we go again. So this
is basically going to be the CBD version of nicotine. Well,
you're okay if you get it naturally and yeah, and
you're not you're not doing the smoke, you're not doing
the tobacco. You're just going after the nicotine. And there's
nicotine benefits. So are we saying? But the addiction of

(27:14):
nicotine is making you before this crave the cigarette and
the and the tobacco. But the craving is not the
problem for nicotine. The problem is the ways we used
to get nicotine through tobacco and smoking and dipping chewing.
That's the argument. Is that the argument that I never

(27:35):
knew what they were.

Speaker 8 (27:37):
So I didn't know as the zens has nicotine salt
in it, Wow, nictine, it's it's just a chemical nicotine plant.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
No, if it will clear my head up a little bit.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
Well that's true, you do need it, but don't do it.
Go on, yes, yeah, tell me what to get. Well,
it's going to give me money, with some money. Yeah,
let's let's go back.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Because here's the thing about these when people come out
with these new with these new things, you know, mushrooms,
you always want to say, well, I want to wait
and see what happens to these people. But then there's
that side of you. But if it's working, why am
I waiting? I want to go ahead. I want to
go ahead because it's gonna take a little while for
me to get the benefit. You kind of find yourself going,
let me see if anybody you know has health issues.

(28:25):
But yet, if i'd already started, i'd be benefiting, you know.
But but you gotta be careful with this kind of stuff.
You can't just throw out Tucker Carlson's dippings in so
I will too.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
He's got his own line of pouches.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
He does the snoop dogg of nicotine.

Speaker 15 (28:39):
Really is he really?

Speaker 3 (28:41):
You don't have to spit evidently.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
I won't speedy the babe feel vabe. I'm not gonna
vade you.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
I'll do steroids all gather. I'll just check it out.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
What's being we gotta come? Yeah, you're the way.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Yeah are the cannabis?

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Dude?

Speaker 16 (29:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Yeah, got me.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He was told good

start happening quickly, and you can get those at Themanchurch

(32:11):
dot com. And guys, you're in for three powerful weekends.
Looking forward to that, all right, So some other things
we can start getting into it if you want to.
Definitely coming next, and this is the trumpet the Trump administration.
We have the inauguration coming up on Monday, and you
know one of the things you start the process now

(32:33):
of trying to get the administration together. You know, I
saw the story yesterday, and we'll come back and we'll
get into some of the stuff with Pete HeiG Seth
and what went on yesterday. One of the things that
I think we all saw on that, and we'll do
that next hour, editors. So, but one of the things
I think that we all saw on that, and Greg
you've mentioned it many times, is I think some of
us it's a hard time going to sleep when these

(32:56):
moments come up that reveal some of the nimrods, idiots
and buffoons that actually have a lot of responsibility and
they're actually in the Senate, they're actually in the House. Yeah,
I mean, you find yourself you can't believe these people.
And I think the thing that scares me the most
is not how incompetent they appear to be, is that

(33:17):
they keep getting voted in by people that you and
I interact with in our country, our fellow country people.
I mean, they put these they put these people in,
how do we keep voting for them? So we'll hit
some of that coming up. But I thought it was
interesting the story yesterday that we're just going to touch
on because it's not one that we need video and

(33:38):
audio from. But did you see the story where it
looked like that Kamala Harris and her husband what's his name.

Speaker 13 (33:46):
Doug.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Ye Dougie mhf that they took a pass on letting
jd Vance, his wife and kids come see where they'll
be living as the the president, the vice president's family
know they wanted a little tour. Yeah, they well, yeah, Greg,
what if you got three kids and you're you're you
and you're about to move to a different place, and

(34:10):
you're like, well, could we come see how many rooms
this scot Can we see the kitchen? How does it operate?
We're about to be moving in?

Speaker 5 (34:17):
And they just say, nah, wow see and this is
new either, I mean, this is protocol.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Sure you went on.

Speaker 5 (34:23):
And there's another story too where the Boden administration is
he they've set up some roadblocks for the transition, even
though they claim it's going to be smooth. They set
up some roadblocks to where the Trump administration is going
to take them months to turn things around to where
they can't jump in and and and you know, and
get after it in some areas and and so yeah,

(34:44):
behind the scenes, they're not being as friendly as they
claim in front of the camera.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
That's the point, speeding. I'm glad you said that, because
that's exactly what I mean, because what do we keep
hearing from them. This is the wonderful thing about our country,
the smooth transition of power, no drama. So when they're
talking public biblically, what they're really trying to do is
to actually say something negative about the allegations of what
all happened on January the sixth. You know that Trump

(35:09):
did not do a smooth transition of power, and we
had you know, this uprising and and all of this.
They say that when they have a chance to get
in the microphone, they act like they're above the fray.
But as you just said, speedy behind the scenes, no,
you can't come see the facility. And this story about
all these things that the Biden administration is doing to

(35:30):
it's almost like, you know, if if somebody was coming
up and you didn't like them, and you just want
to throw a bunch of obstacles and roadblocks out there
to make it more difficult for them to maneuver where
they were going. And they're doing that during the transition period.
So they're saying one thing but then actually doing another.
So and then if you don't you don't have to
look very far to see this. I mean, when these

(35:51):
people get a chance to I mean this thing yesterday,
goodt The thing that I think was that moment is
all when all of a sudden, this the these hearings
about Pete he saith turned into like some version of
the view. I mean, it was a bunch of of
women screaming at him and and all that. It was

(36:12):
just you know, and then just weird.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
It had a touch of Judge Kavanaugh to it that here, yeah,
and and.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
It just it's just silly.

Speaker 5 (36:21):
But you're right, Rick, I was listening to some of it,
uh in the truck yesterday, and I was like, what,
you know, it's some of it. And it's funny too
because the contradictions. Everybody's walking contradiction in there, uh, you know,
pointing the finger at him and look at them, you know.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
With that the classic But yeah, he sat there though,
and held his cool.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
Quick clip from that this is that one.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
I saw this clip yesterday where they're taking like all
the women individually and putting them in one big thing.
Screaming at him. At the same time they put his face
in the middle of them, and yeah, and see. And

(37:05):
what people don't understand about males is even if you
don't have it, you decide to get married, you'll develop
the ability to sit with that look on your face
that he has while that's going on around you. You

(37:26):
will develop it's almost like a shield, you know, to
to protect yourself. If all of a sudden you find
yourself and you're getting a bit of a monologue about
about your own failure on something.

Speaker 8 (37:40):
Just flip a switch on the inside of your brain,
right right.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Yeah, the thing I think women totally think isn't true,
and it absolutely is. We have the ability to think
about nothing. Yeah, I can't describe that place we go.
It's a very wonderful place.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
All the time.

Speaker 8 (37:57):
My eyes go out of focus and I'm just you know,
I'm just here as a person, but not really.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
It's kind of crazy how yesterday in the hearing, all
of these senators seem to know what a woman is,
but yet in the same sense they won't transgender men
competing in women's sports. So in one sense they want
you to respect a woman, and then the.

Speaker 15 (38:15):
Other one they will they say, I don't give a crap.

Speaker 13 (38:17):
What you do.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Just disrespect a woman. So which one is it? It's
your question. Uh, time of the hour. We'll jump into
that anam more to tail when we come back.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 17 (38:41):
Listen up.

Speaker 18 (38:43):
You know I say.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
You gotta find.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Broadcasting from the world The Rick Burgess Show.

(39:24):

point today we send Speedy back out. Can you have
Speedy by you lunch today? We'll see coming up a
little bit later on. All right, So if you're just
joining us for the first time, welcome. We're glad you're here.

(39:47):
Always catch any part of the show you missed every
day on the YouTube channel or the podcast channel. So
we were discussing, you know, we got a big transition
coming up as far as the country is concerned. On Monday,
now we get into the administration, and I got to
go through this process of all these hypocritical politicians deciding

(40:08):
suddenly that they are the most moral people on the planet,
that they have the high ground. But it doesn't take
very long for some of the Does it feel like
some of these people have been in the Senate for
their entire lives or at least your entire life, if
you're listening or watching right now, we speak of Pete Hegseth.

(40:31):
He is, of course on Capitol Hill. He had to
go up and be ostracized by the by the Senate,
and about him daring to want to be in the
Trump administration. When you get his background though and all this,
I thought one of the things that we don't have

(40:52):
and we may have it in here, but I thought
it was really interesting. And if it is Adam, you
can stop me. I'm looking at what's here. But one
of the points I heard him make about why it's
good to give him a shot, you know, to be
over the Pentagon and our military is because he made
the point that we won World War Two and I

(41:15):
think he said we had seven generals and he said,
now we have forty four. And I think those were
the numbers point. Yeah, because they were trying to get
on him about you say. He goes, well, I think
that's a pretty good indicator that maybe forty four is
more than we need. And some of this that we're doing,

(41:37):
we're just growing the overhead here at the Pentagon and
leadership that really And he said, what I want to
do is get down here and invest in the warriors,
those that actually go and fight. Yeah, that's where the
money needs to be, not the top. It needs to
come in the bottom and be sure they're trained and
equipped and get our recruiting numbers out right.

Speaker 3 (41:56):
I do have that clip if you want, But you
just pretty much said what he said.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
Okay, good, So I did with the numbers, right, seven
verses forty four.

Speaker 3 (42:03):
It was something like that seven four exactly.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Okay. Wow. So but you see that point he's saying, No,
I'm all about investing in our military. I think we're
investing incorrectly. And I thought he made a great point
on that.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
We don't need more bureaucracy at the top.

Speaker 8 (42:19):
We need more war fighters empowered at the bottom.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Amen. That's a fact. So let's go ahead and get
probably everybody's favorite clip from yesterday and it was a doozy. This,
of course is Pocahontas the great Elizabeth Warren. And what
you're gonna like, Greg, because I think you may be
the I could tell you hadn't seen this yet when
we started the show, but this is right up your alley.

(42:44):
And I think what you're gonna love the most is
how confident Elizabeth Warren is that she's gonna say something
that everybody's gonna think. She's so smart for thinking of
this point, and she's gonna make him look bad. And
it goes south for Elizabeth Warren. So so here here
we go.

Speaker 19 (43:03):
And other words, you're quite sure that every general who
serves should not go directly into the defense industry for
ten years, you're not willing to make that same pledge.

Speaker 18 (43:17):
I'm not a general, Senator, you'll be the one.

Speaker 19 (43:23):
Let us just be clear.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
That one.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Notice you didn't know that you're not going to do
that for yourself. I'm no, that's never never been a general.
The reason why I'm not in there because I'm not
a general. In that little that little moment right after
it said, well she has her finger up where she's there, yeah,

(43:50):
kin shaking. But I want you to think about that though,
because this is a person, sir, yeah right, this is
a person. If this is your senator out there, America,
I want you to realize. Do you realize how quickly
she could have found out whether he was ever a
general or not. She didn't even know about his military career.
She didn't know about his military career. She comes in
with this big zinger she thinks, and hasn't even taken

(44:12):
the time to research his military career. So she doesn't
say something that stupid that would not have taken a
lot of and don't forget how much staff she has.
No staff says, let me run down, you know, pistol
Pete's military career for you and all that the defensive
her staff, they probably told her what to do and
then she didn't do it. Well, now that is that

(44:35):
is true? All right? So let's go to any of
these are good? Is this the standing o that Pete
got in video one? Or three? All right, let's go
to three. So here is three, and this is what people,
a lot of people are calling as far as Pete
the quote of the day.

Speaker 9 (44:52):
All right, So here we go, because everybody in this
room knows if you're a rifleman and you lose.

Speaker 18 (44:57):
Your rifle, they're throwing the book at.

Speaker 9 (45:01):
But if you're a general who loses a war, you
get a promotion. That's not going to happen in Donald
Trump's pentagon. There will be real standards for success. Everyone
from the top, from the most senior general to the
most lowly private will ensure that they're treated fairly.

Speaker 18 (45:19):
Men and women inside that system.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Great point. Generals are not going to be held to
a different standard. They said, you're a rifleman and you
lose the government provided rifle that the taxpayers bought for
you, you're in a lot of trouble. You lose a war
will promote you. Yeah, and so that is a great point.
So also let's move on to four A here where
he's going to light up Jack Reid here, because I

(45:42):
think anytime that senators are going to go down the
road of accountability, being held accountable, any kind of road
that features accountability are high standards of moral living. Senators
are just stay out of that whole narrative. So here
is here is Jack Ree getting lit up by Pete

(46:05):
HeiG said. Mister hazard Head said, are you aware of
these emails being sent to officers?

Speaker 9 (46:12):
Senator you mentioned the word accountability, which is something we
have not had for the last four years.

Speaker 10 (46:18):
Are you aware of these messages being sent to officers.

Speaker 18 (46:23):
Certainly, I'm not aware of that. It's not one of
my efforts.

Speaker 9 (46:25):
But there's been no accountability for the disaster of the
withdrawal in Afghanistan. And that's precisely why we're here today,
is that leadership has been unwilling to take accountability.

Speaker 18 (46:36):
It's the time to restore that to our most senior ranks.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
You've written public yeah about that gey My nose has
been straight. Change that the fact that he hasn't made
any adjustments on this attempt on his hair.

Speaker 5 (46:55):
Yeah, it's like it's much like somebody somebody challenge him
and said, hey see if you can talk with that
movie you live.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
And we always love this moment when something somewhat off
color is said, uh. Within the military. Once again, Jack
Reid thinks he's gonna be sharp. Uh and uh and
here is here's here's Pete. Here he is with it
with a great response.

Speaker 8 (47:25):
And Senator Jack Reid is trying to trying to nail Pete.
Hegseeth on his uh lack of respect. According to Jack
for authorities, uh, and specifically JAG officers.

Speaker 10 (47:40):
Respectful lawful authority.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
You have made a statements to your platoon after being
breathed by a JAG officer.

Speaker 10 (47:47):
Well, by the way, would you explain what a jag
off is?

Speaker 9 (47:52):
I don't think I need to, sir. Why not because
the men and women watching understand.

Speaker 10 (47:58):
Well, perhabsolutely. My colleagues don't understand.

Speaker 9 (48:02):
It would be a JAG officer who puts uh his
or her own priorities in front of the war fighters,
their promotions, their medals, in front of having the back
so that those are making the tough calls on the
front lines.

Speaker 10 (48:14):
Thank you so interesting And he didn't.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
If you can speak without.

Speaker 3 (48:27):
Moving your job, Good job, Jack, great job.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
So yeah, Ted Cruz I saw him last night. He
thinks though that all this thank he te seth will
be confirmed and hopefully that's true. We'll be back.

Speaker 1 (48:46):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, God fearing and America
Loving the Ripple Prture Show.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Okay, we are moving through all the stories of the
day within the show and around the world. All right,
So really a lot of you are having a blast.
We talked about it last hour with yesterday me being
injured dancing for the will of bundles, bits and bucks.

(49:30):
It's now documented forever on video, and so I'm glad
of that. So the other thing is now people are
beginning to add to scenarios. I will let you know
that my meeting yesterday with Team man Church and the
the Marine Andy Blanks, they now know that I pretended

(49:51):
to have talk struggling with a former football injury. They
now know it was a dance injury. And I'm being
pummeled by them now with all their diferent scenarios. One
that I have to give them credit for. I think, guys,
you'll love this. They said, we wish the dancing injury
would have happened while you were wearing the turtleneck. Oh
oh kid, that would have added to it. Oh absolutely, yeah,

(50:15):
that would have definitely added to it. Picture. So one
of the stories that is out here today when when
you see this, and you know, when I see is
this euros seven hundred thousand euros?

Speaker 5 (50:30):
Yes, yeah, I think it's The story says she was
out of France. I believe, yeah, out of France. That's euros. Yeah,
So so a woman. Now I want you to think
about this, how any world could this even possibly happen?

Speaker 2 (50:43):
Okay? A woman scammed out of seven hundred thousand euros
after believing she was dating Brad Pitt. Dating dating now
now define dating. I know that that we're living in
a time and look around this world. So so Brad Pitt,

(51:07):
she thought, after they established the relationship, was asking her
for money. Brad Pitt. Now, don't miss any of this.
Brad Pitt is randomly collared.

Speaker 5 (51:20):
It started with brad Pitt's mom, she thought was Brad
Pitt's mom reached out to her and said, y'all would
be you would be a perfect match for my son,
Brad Pitt.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
Brad Pitt can't find a day to help.

Speaker 5 (51:33):
And then later somebody acting as Brad Pitt said, I
understand my mom reached out to you, and then he
started developing a relationship online with her, and she thought
the whole time it was Brad Pitt, I.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
Want you to imagine this. Now, think of all the
things you have to This is a level of being
gullible that that that really is gonna be hard to beat.
Not only greg does she think brad Pitt's mom to
speedach point contacted her. Not only does she think that
Brad Pitt can taking her about his mom contacting her
Brad Pitt because he's struggling. We know this needed help

(52:06):
with his cancer treatments.

Speaker 8 (52:08):
Yeah, these are the pictures that the scammer sent the
lady right here right.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
Oh my goodness, so so Brad Pitt. Now it doesn't
register with you that Brad Pitt can likely pay if
even has cancer, which he doesn't, that he would be
able to pay his own medical bills. I think Brad Pitt,
I think he can handle it. Yeah, yeah, I know.

Speaker 8 (52:26):
They said the divorce with Angelina's it's drained him dry.
Now he's reaching after strangers on the internet for money.

Speaker 2 (52:32):
Yes, and dating them. Yes, you're right now. I wanted
a girlfriend in a little bit of cash. I will
go back to this again too. Uh does this person
have any friends, our family? It's a good point. Let
me tell all of you out there right now, if
you do have friends, and you do have family, please
look at that. I love you. If at some point

(52:54):
you think you're dating Brad Pitt, let somebody know about it.
Bring it up right past. Everybody get their get their
feedback on it. What do you think of this?

Speaker 3 (53:06):
Let somebody know.

Speaker 5 (53:08):
I think the funniest line in the whole thing is
at first she thought it was a scam. Yeah, at
first she was correct. But then Brad himself reached out
to me.

Speaker 2 (53:19):
Yeah, because it's got on the phone. I mean, when
they sent me some pictures, there has to be real. Yeah.
So then and you guys and you guys hit on it.
The scammer claimed that he had kidney cancer. Of course
he is. Brad Pitt needed money and as you all said,
he said. The reason why is that he said that
Angelina Jolie had frozen off his bank accounts. Now that

(53:43):
evil woman again, though we have we have to reason.
So Brad Pitt needs financial help. Let's say he does.
He doesn't, but let's say he does. Let's say Angelina
Jolie really has frozen his opinion. Okay, he can only
find a woman in France somewhere to help him pay

(54:04):
the medical but he has no people he knows. He's
reaching out to friend, that's no one, you know. Yeah,
do you think he maybe plays a call maybe to
I don't know, George Clooney, Ye, George Man, friends, Morgan Freeman,
I don't know. Not everybody's a perfect match for him. Right,
she is a perfect if you look here there also

(54:25):
told him that that he didn't show up for jury
duty and that.

Speaker 3 (54:31):
It's easy to get skinned.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
One's a little different. I will say, what after what
got caught up in? You know, certainly had some problems,
but it wasn't as easy as Brad needs help from me.
I don't think this one.

Speaker 8 (54:44):
And also I did not fall for it, and I
didn't lose any money. I fell for it for a
longer period of time than I should have, but I
actually didn't lose any when you were walking in with
the money, yeah, yeah, a pistol because I thought I
was gonna get robbed.

Speaker 3 (54:55):
Anyways, I love that one of these pictures.

Speaker 8 (54:58):
By the way, the more I look at these pickictures
of Brad Pitt that the scammer sent to the lady,
the worst they get, like why would Brad have this
picture of himself getting surgery? And then you can tell
she got skeptical at some point and she was like,
proved to me, you're real. And so here's a horrible
photoshop of Brad Pitt holding up a post.

Speaker 3 (55:19):
It note that says, an, I love you. So that's
proof I'll hold I'll send you a picture is true.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
My goodness, Greg from the text line, I have a
relatively new friend, please be a better friend who believes
she's been communicating with John Travalter for over two years.
Uh huh. They've never spoken on the phone, et cetera.
But she's convinced it's him. I've tried to caution her
and her daughter is livid, but she continues to claim

(55:46):
she's in a relationship with John travolt This is going
to be text texture. The ask is coming, The ask
is coming. Texture. You're gonna make some money involved at
some point. Female. I just don't understand anybody with this,
and it is you know, people want it to be true,
so it don't take a lot of convince with AI.

Speaker 8 (56:06):
It's going to get easier and easier to scam these
people because then you can get Brad Pitt's voice, put
it into a voice modeler type and I love you
so much, and it's going to be Brad print saying it.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
By the way, I did not know this. They're now saying,
so many of these have been attempted. There's something in Spain.
They're saying this is getting out of hand. The fat,
the fake Brad pitt scam. It's even got a name.

Speaker 5 (56:29):
Now, yeah, even back to what Adler fell for. I mean,
you think about it. Let's say they're maybe five ten
percent successful.

Speaker 2 (56:39):
Yeah, I mean they're still making.

Speaker 5 (56:41):
Some good money and so and so they understand that, hey,
we're gonna get busted a lot, but let's just keep
churning them out.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
So all day long they just sit around and try
to scamp.

Speaker 5 (56:48):
The like when they wake up, they're getting their coffee
and go all right, let's start scamping.

Speaker 2 (56:52):
And see now who is gimming today? Oh, were's some.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
Jerry Duty scam going on?

Speaker 5 (57:01):
Everybody dude scam.

Speaker 2 (57:04):

because as we know, as we're shifting Monday back to
our second helping of Trump's view of America, that we're
all looking forward to that. But we do know that
they're still in the retail world, in the online world,
there still seems to be, you know, attempts to keep

(58:43):
us from people that maybe share our views and then
force us into companies that really don't. So Mike Lindell's
done it again. Mystore dot com go there right now,
tote our promo code, big Vox. What is my store
dot comra Well, it's over five hundred great products from
companies that don't have a way to the market to

(59:05):

find all sorts of products I mean, covering the gamut, automotive, bath, beauty, books, movies, clothing,
food and drink, garden, patio, home and improvement, household essentials, kitchen, dining, pets,
faith based products, sports and outdoors, toys and games. It's

(59:27):

All right to the phones we go. Will start with Jason. Jason,
Welcome to the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 15 (59:45):
Go ahead, Good morning, guys. How are y'all?

Speaker 2 (59:48):
We're good? I hope you're okay?

Speaker 20 (59:50):
I am, guys.

Speaker 15 (59:52):
Suggestion for Speedy Spady you need.

Speaker 11 (59:54):
To lay down, you players card brother when.

Speaker 15 (59:56):
You go out trying to buy people's launch because if
you don't, y'all gonna have to change the name to
Creeping with Steady.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
Well, in all fairness, in all fairness, I do believe
that players Speedy is dead, but they're not trying to play.
But they're still what we love about Speedy. Speedy just
somehow seems to say things that are not men in
any way. They just sound bad. You know, you don't
mean Yeah, you don't mean anything. You know, Look, I

(01:00:25):
did that. Well you're talking about like the time that
you you know, you probably don't want to say to
a woman walking by like last time, Hey, you want
to earn twenty dollars? You see what I mean? That's innocent.
But wouldn't she be earning twenty dollars? Well she would,
But I just you know, you didn't. You don't mean
anything by that. No, but it may sound you know,
people may hear that. Go what you know, unhappily married,

(01:00:45):
trying to play of course not of course not, of course,
not in the world of that. Let's go to Let's
go to John in Huntsville, one hundred point three of
the River.

Speaker 12 (01:00:57):
Go ahead, Hey, guys, loving the new format, and so
I just won't get one thing straight. So you got
what you guys are probably saying is that this money
I've been sending to Lisa Kudro to sponsor her in
culinary school, it's probably been a way.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
You might you might want to real that one back
in John. Yeah, the man Carl out of Arkansas.

Speaker 3 (01:01:26):
Carl.

Speaker 14 (01:01:29):
It is Carl Kilder Hey, Carl, good.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
To talk to you again here in the new year.
First time.

Speaker 14 (01:01:36):
Yes, sir, I tried to call y'all that other number,
but it wouldn't work. No, give me the new number, right,
give me the new number to put in my phone.

Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
Okay, good.

Speaker 16 (01:01:50):
I'm kind of stove up this morning trying to work
on one of them new cyber drugs. Couldn't get it running.

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Sorry about that, Carl.

Speaker 16 (01:02:02):
What I found out what the problem was, had no gays.
I did have a big announcement for Greg.

Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Oh really, okay, go ahead and.

Speaker 16 (01:02:15):
Go down at the dollar store. They running a special.
They got party meat and sold the cracker three foot dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
That's great to hear, Carl.

Speaker 16 (01:02:29):
I'm glad you did.

Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
Glad you got the new number. Carl, Thank you. There,
he goes. I don't know why that's reminded me of Gary,
But I guess I do, I mean would right, yeah,
a little bit, I guess so, I guess Gary the
bulldozer Man, the spur Master, hey, he he he. You
know he claims, you know, he's always so busy and working,

(01:02:51):
he ain't got time for the show, you know. Yeah,
I mean, y'all, y'all got to leave me along. I mean,
I got the job to do. He didn't catch any
of yesterday, did he. He didn't catch any of it yesterday,
And I guess late people were making him aware of it.
And all I got was a text that said, hey,
y'all been talking about me, And I was like, no,

(01:03:13):
I was just we wouldn't do that. We did two
segments on it, singing the hits. If I don't have
him on that rug right, I'm oh my goodness. By
the way, somebody saying, Rick, don't say anything. You're being
scammed by a bird that's obviously ordering packages or waiting
for them on your porch. By the way, went out
gave a real strong look yesterday. There's no nest or

(01:03:36):
anything in there. I think this thing, this bird is
just thinking that house is warmer than it is because,
you know, I guess there's certain you know, we're we're
having kind of a colder winter and that's going to
continue in the Deep South, and we have these from
time to time. But is it possible the bird is like,
I usually come here to be warmer, and it's not

(01:03:59):
warm enough, and but inside that house seems great. I
think she's supposed to keep flying further south. It's like
when we left Greg at the airport. I think his
buddies left him. They all flew south, and he hung around.
He's cold that he starts to get inside. That's it's
so true, bridget Welcome to the show. Go ahead.

Speaker 14 (01:04:21):
Yeah, I was thinking about Valentine's Day and maybe just
have Gary come on and this some Valentine's songs for Gary.

Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Oh? Gary does love songs? Love songs with Gary? Oh
did you have one in particular?

Speaker 20 (01:04:35):
Oh?

Speaker 21 (01:04:35):
Heye, okay, okay, I just called to say I love
you the work.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Oh my gracious, hey, I just caw.

Speaker 6 (01:04:47):
When to say I love you.

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
Okay, please, I.

Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
Do love you.

Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
Still, let's get away with the repulsed.

Speaker 5 (01:05:07):
I noticed when you shift in your senior hip, herts
can say so stiff and so sore.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
All right, so we continue. Uh, let's go to Duncan. Uh, Duncan.
Welcome to the Rick Burger Show. How are you? Mh?

Speaker 15 (01:05:21):
I'm doing good?

Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
How y'all doing great?

Speaker 22 (01:05:26):
I got a story.

Speaker 20 (01:05:27):
Uh.

Speaker 22 (01:05:27):
We just started going to this church. We hadn't been
going to it a year. Uh, maybe maybe less than
a year. And we was in Sundayfield class and our
four year old was in class with us and we
was teaching. We've been teaching on angels, been learning about it,
which goes along with your last uh message on Wednesday night.
Yeah there, yes, yeah, which I really enjoyed that. So

(01:05:53):
we're saying in class and my four year old setting
up on my lap, you know, he's sitting there doing
some kind of doodle or something. And it gets to
a quiet point, and you got to notice, I don't
know hardly any of these people in this class, and
there's probably twenty five of us in here, and all
of a sudden, yes, I'm Tolmby. It made dad proud.

(01:06:15):
He let one real right on my leg, and I'm
tom about it was what it was so loud? Oh yes, sir,
it popped good. So I'm looking around and nobody has
turned towards me or anything.

Speaker 2 (01:06:34):
He said.

Speaker 22 (01:06:34):
For the guy beside me, I see his shoulder start shaking,
and I lost it. I am laughing. I put my
head down in my Bible and I'm sitting there and
I'm trying to control it. It took me about ten
minutes controlling and he goes along just like it's just
another day.

Speaker 11 (01:06:51):
To affect him.

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
None, and I don't care.

Speaker 22 (01:06:54):
No, he's thinking, oh that was a good one. And
I me and this other guy. The other guy told
me after Sunday school class, he said, I thought I
want to get up and leave. He said, I could
not control myself and my wife she's like, you know,
did you have to laugh that much? I'm thinking, look,
I'm still a kid. Yes, if anybody rips one in
Sunday school class one, it's quiet.

Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Every guy in that class. Well, now that they can't
wait for your family to join the church, now, I
mean they can't. This is everything they've been waiting on.
So that's said, what a day, duncan and congratulations and
it was a for runt too for they got last
text right there. Okay, so we have now everybody on

(01:07:37):
the text lines were questioning Gary's love songs and there's
so many now so and what was the endless love?
And then okay loves.

Speaker 6 (01:07:48):
Her too heart?

Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
Hey too hard?

Speaker 6 (01:07:51):
That beat, he's one to the quhen our life.

Speaker 11 (01:07:56):
Is just.

Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
Then what's southern exile? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:08:00):
I want to kiss you all over, Gwen, all over again.
After we had some chat it when I get home, Bait,
I wanna watch you fire because I know how to
start the fire. I mean, you can't get you. You
got to know how to do it. And she wanted
to get home, Baby, want to get home when I

(01:08:22):
want to latch you fire? All day on my bulldozer.
I've been thinking about you, baby, You're my one desire.

Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
What if the bit is we call Gwen and a
text actually said this. We called Gwen and Gary sings
to Gwen.

Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
She's really put out by it. She doesn't like it.
I think that would happen when you once you twice,
when hey, you three times to the lady. Okay, I
mean maybe I can have something. I can't have a
three time lady. So it's uh, I can see this

(01:08:57):
is off and running. Oh this is yeah, this is
all right. You got have to Oh my goodness. Fourteen
minutes to the top. We continue to work through the
stories of the day. Take your phone calls, and before
we're done, can can anybody be successful in getting Speedy

(01:09:18):
to buy them lunch? A lot of press we'll find out.

Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
This is the Rick Burgers show bus under pay much,

(01:09:44):
Welcome you to the Rick Purchase shows.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
Somebody get on the trains and I say, I don't
know if I can dance there is oh God. All right,
So I know some of you out there, uh you
know you're looking at next week, uh, and you're thinking, okay,

(01:10:13):
you know that we we're having, you know, a lot
of winter this year, a lot of cold, especially for
people that know me don't get it, and the Southerners
in the winter, we struggle and we're we're convinced as
the apocalypse. Uh So anyway, we will we will talk
to Span again on Friday because next week, a couple
of days, you know, look like they could be interesting again.

(01:10:37):
You know, it changes daily and and what I what
I we don't want to do. And I think there's
far too much of this and I know it's for clicking.
You know, some people get clicks. Is can I just
say that every time a person tells you that what
you have put on your calendar because you must know,
because you're convinced the end of time is coming, and
then every time that you look at it or you listen,

(01:10:58):
eventually they say, now right now, we really just don't know. Okay,
then why am I here? How about I would like
to talk to you when you know? And so what
we're doing is listening to Span, who has taught us
all that winter weather and especially precipitation is almost impossible
to be accurate about, and you certainly can't do it

(01:11:20):
until about yeah, two days out, three days out. So
we're going to try to get him on Friday to
kind of give everybody an idea and all that. So
if that, if you're looking at that and watching that now,
I do not go to these idiots that span hates,
that are trying to make money off your clicks. How

(01:11:41):
about it. I couldn't believe I did this yesterday. I
even got to the point that one of the things
that I don't even know who these people are put
out on acts yesterday. It was so outrageous. I couldn't
even believe I did it. I replied, this is total hogwash.
And I said that, I said, I said this. I
say this on behalf of our friend James Fan. You're

(01:12:02):
you are, this is tod Uh. This was the one
that was telling Southerners that they could expect fifteen to
eighteen inches of snow next week. And I'm like you,
and come man, some people think they're dating Brad Pitt,
so you got to watch out. That's a good point.
I just saw some people believe you. Yeah, I saw
for where we live. I just saw the latest, which
still they're saying is not accurate yet, could change, could

(01:12:24):
even change for worse. In the right now it looks
like one day Tuesday, maybe thirty to forty percent chance
of maybe an inch of something for some of us. Okay,
so that's not exactly. Hey, now it's gonna be cold
if you really want to be you know, I've been
through this and we all have just watched, you know,

(01:12:44):
because we're Southerners. Just I'd be more concerned about watching
my pipes and all that kind of stuff. So so
you don't have some handle because it is going to
be bitterly cold. Well, my dad's all about dripping fast.
It's good now, Oh my goodness, Hey, leave them, cabinet's over.
Good good night, Yes, sir, I sure will, But you
know when you don't, even when it comes to to

(01:13:05):
bitterly cold, though, I have to go back to this.
As long as my pipes and everything are good, I
understand that can be a real problem. I've experienced it.
It's awful. But as long as that's good. If it's
cold outside, like unbearably cold, I just go inside. Yeah,
and sit with the heat on, ye until it's over. Yeah,

(01:13:26):
it warms up right till it warms up.

Speaker 5 (01:13:27):
So I got locked into videos of people trying to
like plow their driveway enough to where they could even
get out of the driveway. And but you get off
in them and there's some people have to do, do
a lot of work.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
Just leave the house, guys. When we've got good machinery today, Yeah,
we were surpressive. That's what I was looking at when
we were talking to you know friends we had we
were on it one time in Alaska, actually on to
fill it. But when we were talking to Hawk back
in the day and talking to people that live in Alaska, Guys,
anytime you live somewhere where you're one of the things
that cannot be forgotten is to plug in the heating

(01:14:04):
systems of your automobile before you go to best of
your block. Won't freeze and crack. I just got to say,
you know, I like cooler weather. I don't like that
all right. So we're always you know, everybody's always got
the new fad. Here's what you need to be doing.
If you're committed to doing a little better, uh the

(01:14:26):
latest and adler, you have the video here the Health
Update today and you know, if you want to listen
for health, it's always been with the four of US Health.
They're saying that jumping rebounding like basketballs, jumping up for
a rebound is better for your health than running.

Speaker 3 (01:14:46):
Well they call it.

Speaker 8 (01:14:47):
According to NASA, they call it rebounding, but there's no
basketball involved.

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
It's just basically like I'm going up for a rebound.

Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
It's right, and it's it's almost like you're jump roping
with no rope.

Speaker 23 (01:14:57):
You only have to rebound for one minute in the
morning to get that lymphatic system activated for the whole day.
What I think every home should have one of the rebounders.
I've come to the conclusion that people age because they
stop jumping.

Speaker 3 (01:15:11):
How about that people age because they stop jumping.

Speaker 2 (01:15:15):
In Australia, guys, that's doing What do you mean we
should have a rebound in our home. The guy's just
jumping up and down. He doesn't have any kind of apparatus.

Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
Maybe they were talking about those like mini trampolines or something.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:15:26):
What's it doing because it says it fights bloating. How
long say you like yep?

Speaker 2 (01:15:31):
In a month. Your skin will tighten. Yep, I do
that every time. I do that every time I'm waiting
outside when some guy's still in the bathroom, he won't
come out.

Speaker 24 (01:15:41):
Get this.

Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
How long do you say you have to read?

Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
One minute?

Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
What's your I think.

Speaker 13 (01:15:51):
I can do that.

Speaker 5 (01:15:52):
Maybe when you're running the driveway, Greg, when you rest
and you just jump, go, go, go go you for
a minute.

Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
I mean, it's not you think it answered it is
you're doing Your army is supposed to be slack.

Speaker 3 (01:16:03):
I think because that guy last I don't know that guy.

Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
Fifty seconds okay? Is he finished yet? No, he's got
forty five seconds left.

Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
This time goes by slow when you're doing it.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
It does.

Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
The time is relative.

Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
He did about about did about thirty second. That wasn't
a minute. I wasn't tired. I was just tired to
do it. I started doing it. I've heard a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
Have you ever heard good things about it.

Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
Does give you a headache? You've never heard about this?

Speaker 25 (01:16:35):
No?

Speaker 24 (01:16:36):
I have.

Speaker 3 (01:16:36):
I have a jump rope. I heard it very good.

Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
Why jump rope?

Speaker 4 (01:16:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
Yeah, that's been around a while.

Speaker 3 (01:16:44):
The whole thing will jump rope.

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
It looks like that either I'm waiting on the restroom
or I'm in the corner about the box.

Speaker 8 (01:16:52):
Hey, yeah, NASA says it rebounding is sixty eight percent
more effective than jogging.

Speaker 2 (01:16:57):
What sixty eight they said?

Speaker 3 (01:17:00):
That's it's like sad, Greg.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. This is what Trump
had in mind when he sought to make America great again.

(01:18:07):
but excited about the present and the future. If you
would love to be able to access some of the
greatest moments in Rick and Bubba history. That podcast, Rick
and Bubba's Greatest Hits in Radio Gold will be active
this Saturday. Wherever you get podcasts, you just search that.
It ought to come right up and go enjoy the fun.

(01:18:27):
And we'll continue to add historic moments weekly and build
a huge catalog for you to enjoy. Okay, And as
far as the last CD last year on streaming service
should be on all the streaming services, run me and
zee and shut her down. That ought to be there tomorrow,
so look for that tomorrow. Okay. So we start this hour,

(01:18:52):
we know that Carrie Underwood had the audacity to actually
agree to play at Trump's inauguration coming up on Monday.
And I don't know about you guys. One of the
things I thought the minute I heard that. It bothered
me too. I spent a lot of time on this.
I was like, I wonder what Joey Bayhart thinks about it?

(01:19:12):
That's crucial. Yeah, what's joy thing?

Speaker 20 (01:19:14):
Man?

Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
I gotta know. I must know what Joey Bayhart thinks
about that. And it bothered me. So thank goodness, The View,
you know, one of my favorite shows, The View, is
now going to answer that question for me, and it
kept me awake at night. What does Joy Behart think?
And she wants to give her opinion on it, So

(01:19:36):
here we go.

Speaker 21 (01:19:36):
No, I would not I would not normalize him. And
she says, I love our country. How do you love
your country and support and normalize somebody who was a
convicted fellow who really wants to destroy the country. In
my opinion, I don't understand how you say you love
your country at the same time as you normalize this
convicted felon, which I can say now every day.

Speaker 3 (01:19:54):
A lot of my family voted for Trump. They loved
the country and vote for him.

Speaker 21 (01:19:57):
I think that people make these decisions for a lot
of that's fine, and I would not be the person
to say don't do it because I believe in free
speech and everything about it. I personally would not do it.
No one's asked me. But that's another story.

Speaker 11 (01:20:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:20:11):
Wow, she's just the worst.

Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
But it seems so pleasant. Yeah, she seems so pleasant. Okay, Joy, No, No,
good for you. I don't think anybody thought that you,
based on everything you said, would want anything to do
with Trump being inaugurated as president.

Speaker 11 (01:20:32):
Again.

Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
We got that. That's fun and that's your opinion, and
you can feel that way. I don't even understand why
you said what you said. You said you're not criticizing
Carrie Underwood while criticizing her decision, But you just said
to everyone. You didn't just say you will agree to disagree,
you wouldn't do it. You didn't say that. You went

(01:20:54):
further to say that she's normalizing President Trump and how
would anyone go to perform for the inauguration of a
convicted felon. So you really are criticizing because you're saying
that decision is a decision that that if someone made it,
they're a bad person, and really criticizing the majority of

(01:21:15):
the country voted for him.

Speaker 8 (01:21:17):
And the convicted felon thing is it's just false. It's
just a a twisting of our government and justice system
to create that and make.

Speaker 13 (01:21:29):
That a thing.

Speaker 8 (01:21:30):
And as far as normalizing things, she said, don't normalize Trump,
I'm sorry, but they spent four years normalizing a president
that could not speak, that did not know what was
going on, and totally totally twisting our justice system to
convict a guy and hopefully keep a guy out of
office that they didn't want in So as far as

(01:21:52):
normalizing things that are bad, y'all are that's something that
the left is doing it.

Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
And you know, I'm just like that conservative chick on
the show. I don't know her name.

Speaker 8 (01:22:03):
She's like, I've got friends. I got friends and family
that voted for Trump and they still love the country.
I have friends and family the vote Democrat and they
still love the country too. So I want to clarify
that as well.

Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
This is we have to pull out the quote. I'm
like the conservative chick on the show. We don't pull
that just a little bit more than one. Yeah, look,
I got injured dancing yesterday, so just look realize I'm
looking for any way to get this off meat on somebody. Absolutely,
but but no, you're right. It was one of those things.

(01:22:37):
And if I'm going to be lectured about normalizing things,
I'm not going to take that lecture from the left.
You mentioned one, but there's a whole list we could
run of things they've normalized that I would go.

Speaker 8 (01:22:50):
Yeah, like not having a border and like that. Yeah,
not arresting people that like burn cities and steal that's
I don't like that being normal.

Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
That's not normal as that that men can carry and
give birth to babies. Nothing normal about the feminine products
in men's restrooms, not necessarily, not normal, not necessary. Allow
that not necessary? And uh and and by the way,
a lot of places are backing off on that because
people said, you know, that's that's so far out there.

(01:23:20):
I don't even want to come to your business anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
What is what's singing again? America the Beautiful or something
I really do.

Speaker 2 (01:23:28):
Not know is that it? I think it is. Uh,
we had the story.

Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
America the Beautiful.

Speaker 8 (01:23:34):
Yeah, America, that'll be great. His uh, his inauguration schedules
out on Saturday. There's a big party at Trump National
Golf Club in Virginia. That's the vice and then the
vice President's dinner. I guess it's Saturday Sunday. I didn't
realize this, but Trump is having a huge victory rally
at the Capital One Arena in Washington.

Speaker 2 (01:23:55):
Yeah, that's what we said. That is worried about it.
That's right. Bongino does not like all this.

Speaker 8 (01:24:00):
And then uh, then Monday, you got the uh, the
big service at Saint John's Church, tea at the.

Speaker 3 (01:24:06):
White House, and uh then then the swearing and will
happen at noon.

Speaker 2 (01:24:12):
Okay, and now of course everybody is. Because we started
the new bit. Everybody now wants to know what Gary
is singing if he did, and it's God Bless America.
In case you wanted to, Hey, I just want say,
you know road Trump and uh, and I'm gonna sing here.
It's anauguration, it's it was something. It means not to me,

(01:24:32):
it always has God Bless America. Then and I do
love it, just like I do when and so I
guess that's what he'll do. At least that's what he's
been requested. Him walking on the stage. No slaves at all, Guys,

(01:24:53):
can you imagine this in his pocket? And then and
the funny, the only way and the way it would
make it the most funny is that he cannot be
before Carrie Underwood. He must be after Carrie Underwood has
to have finished what she's gonna sing. And then Gary
walk out sleeveless. Okay, Hey, let's let's do a little

(01:25:14):
hand for Carrie. Nice work. Here a pretty good singer. Hey,
she good singer, and you gotta say that she is.
My name is Gary, the two with two rs. And
I don't seeing God bless man.

Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
I'm happy to be here.

Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
I'm happy to be here. I mean, I thought inauguration,
I mean, and you can't even have an inauguration. But
I guess I guess I was wrong, you know, because
here we are, Yes, here we are. All right, we'll
come back.

Speaker 8 (01:25:39):
Whoopee did actually defend carry Underwood's uh choice to perform at.

Speaker 3 (01:25:46):
The which I thought was interesting. But that also means
I think, whoop, Goldberg's looking for some more gigs, more chances.

Speaker 2 (01:25:52):
Yeah, she wasn't that conservative chick though, you're that Yeah,
you have that government. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (01:26:04):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the only show hosted

(01:26:31):

(01:27:24):
couple of things you need to know about. I mentioned
the Man Church conferences all starting next week with Birmingham,
but I want you to know this week you got
a chance to plug into the men's discipleship strategy and
beautiful Florence, Alabama with Pastor Gil McKee. He'll be speaking
at the Next Man Church at Cross Point Church of
Christ this Saturday morning. It will be a breakfast. Those

(01:27:48):
details at the Maanchurch dot com under events. Ladies. I know,
I know, I hear from you. When is Sherry doing something?
When we're gonna have something like this for women? Well,
Sherry will be out on February first. She'll be speaking
at the University Church of Christ in Tuscaloosa. That will
also looks like some sort of brunch. Look ten am

(01:28:09):
the twelve noon there on February the first. Find those
details at Burgessmanistries dot com under events. And I may
even have a bigger announcement for the ladies coming up
a little later on in the year. I'll just hold
that same thing that's going to speak. Well, he is
the conservative, he's the conservative woman on the show, so
beco I'm a woman now yeah, so yeah, and you

(01:28:30):
would you wouldn't have to change the hair.

Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
Ye just there declare it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:36):
I do declare. I want to get your opinion on
something now. I want to know what you guys do
thinking on your feet as husbands, because I can almost
guarantee this has happened to all of us. Okay, I
can almost guarantee it. So, uh, you know, when you
get home for the day, there's your one of the thing.
You don't want to be too quick to ask what

(01:28:56):
are we doing for dinner? Don't we too quick? You
can go there too fast. And if you're not careful
with it for some reason, if you if you, if
you approached that the wrong way. Have you ever had
it happen? This is not my point to day. I
just want to do this in passing. Have you ever
had your wife get upset? Like? Well, I mean, I
mean that's that's the first thing you're asking. I mean,
you know, I've been been doing this, this and this

(01:29:17):
all day? What have you been? And I'm like, WHOA,
I wasn't saying that, like I expected you to have
it ready or or have a plan. I was just saying,
I'm I'm willing, you know, to go get something something.
That's the statement we talked to you know, do you
So anyway, nothing like that happened. I just thought of that.
So so, so I got home and and I smelt

(01:29:38):
something really really good and it was it was it
was what I love, the famous chuck roast in the
crock pots, with the taters, with the carrots, with the
onions or whatever. You yeah, a little little uh, you know,
the juice, the juice in.

Speaker 3 (01:29:56):
There, a little bit of celery though yes, no, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:30:00):
No, I've never had roast. But anyway, you know what
I mean. You got the brown you know, juice that's
come off the roast in there and all that. Yeah,
carrots for sure, and so and and we had and
we had had that. Still there's just a lot of
we had had that already and so which is fine?

(01:30:22):
And what's wrong with another? And and Sherry said, you
won't believe what I had for breakfast. And I said,
I'm anxious to hear this. She said, I actually smelled
that this morning, and it smelled so good. I actually
ate that as a late breakfast today.

Speaker 3 (01:30:38):
Totally acceptable.

Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
Yeah, baby, I love that, you know, I said, you're
coming from you know me, I hang out with my guys.
We've we've we're the ones who led the charge on
you know, food should not be daparted, too many food barriers.
So I said, that sounds great. So then she said,
so just so you know, and this is how I

(01:30:59):
heard it, Just so you know, after we you know,
workout today, I've got to get on a phone call
and so you if you're hungry, you know, after you
get out of the shower, uh, just go ahead and
eat this, all right. So here's what happened in my mind.
In my mind, the announcement of I've already had some

(01:31:21):
of this today meant she was done with it. That's
what I thought. That is that fair? I think that
is that unfair? I mean, should I have maybe done
a follow up question, but you an, but it sounded
like what's left in the crop pot is now mine.
That's how That's what it felt like. And and so

(01:31:42):
you know, we we do the little workout thing that
I talked about earlier, and I had to address the
injury from dancing, which was embarrassing and and So then
we finish and I head to the shower, and she heads,
you know, to she was gonna do her phone call
first and then and then you know, she hour after,
and so she bounces up to her office and I'm like, daddy,

(01:32:08):
hungry and so unclean. So I got out of the
shower and I started eating the meal. Now, I will admit,
I will admit that when I first looked down in
there and the empty I thought to myself, that's uh,
I may I eat all that? I remember thinking that

(01:32:30):
may not. That's that's probably you know, I don't know
that we need to carroll another day with it. But
and then all of a sudden, they became this feeling
of well, I mean, if it's all just going to
be thrown away now, I mean, I'm as well just
eat all of them the can. And so I'm having
I like sometimes a little. I love having dinner with

(01:32:52):
family and friends and my wife and running down the
stories of the day. But there's something about that special,
those special moments every now and then when you're eating
along a long time. I don't know why it's so special,
but but it's really not that bad. And I don't
even mind, like catching up on a few things from work.
H Let me let me check a few emails here,

(01:33:13):
let me return, Let me return a few bits, take
a few bites. You know in the in the days
Greg that I know you missed back when you had
a newspaper. This is what a newspaper would have been
laying out there, you know, something like that, and and so,
and it was so delicious, you know. The only thing
better than a chuck roast and a crop pot on
day one is how good it is on day two.

(01:33:34):
Because now it's really taking off, it's taking on the
flavors now, and I'm just I'm just loving this, and
I'm so thankful for my wife for making this. And
at some point probably should have thought about, I wonder
what she's having for dinner, because even though she said
she ate some of this for breakfast, that was a
long time ago, and you thought, well, she didn't want

(01:33:54):
to say you wanted something different. She didn't hit that, right,
I mean, I agree, she don't want this, so so
I knock it out, uh, and basically turned it into
a crock pot of soup because everything else is gone.
So I'm sitting there and she comes back down the
steps and she's like white smells good. And then then

(01:34:17):
I see her walking over to the crock pot and
I see her grabbing a plate and I'm like no,
I'm like, what's hey, what are you doing? What you
mean what do I do? I'm about to eat dinner.
And I'm like, I hope you're not fired up about
what's in that crock pot I got. And this was
my quote that probably I said, hey, just give you

(01:34:37):
some advice before you go over there. I put the
plate up and get a bawl. I have a straw,
I have some good. I have some good and bad
news for you. Good news is there's a delicious soup
in there. I know that's not what you right. You
got any bread to sop because you cornbread would be great? Yeah,

(01:35:00):
I really don't have. We don't have any.

Speaker 20 (01:35:01):
And uh.

Speaker 2 (01:35:02):
I would tell you to have the last two pieces
of bread we have, but I've actually used those as well.
So that was that was my toast on the side.
That's what I was dipping in that juice. Uh, but
I love so much. So she's like, wow, did you
eat all of it? And I'm like uh. And for
some reason, for a minute, I almost was trying like,

(01:35:23):
I didn't what we're talking about. There may be some
in there. She looks at it and she's like, well,
there is a piece of fat floating in it. And
where there you go start? So I think I misread that. Yeah, yeah,
I just thought that was all, you know. A little followed.

(01:35:44):
But she did find her something eventually in the fridge
or something. She put something together.

Speaker 13 (01:35:49):
I bet itone is good.

Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
Yeah, and she did have some soup.

Speaker 1 (01:35:52):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. They can and do
the truth big and show.

Speaker 26 (01:37:00):

Are you starting to you know that we have all
these things now you can do you know, the Apple
Watch and all these things, and they'll tell you how
you're sleeping and you could be sleeping better. Has there
ever been anyone I think we had a caller say
this one time with the show, and I agree with them.
Has there ever been anyone that's had a sleep test
that they didn't try to give them some sleep seapath

(01:37:20):
or something like that. It is a small number. Anybody
ever passed a sleep test ever? Great? Yeah, but anyway,
and then of course, you know, like let's face it,
sometimes you may get injured dancing, but some of your
sleep problems, if you really look at it, it could
just be the mattress. Is the mattress you're sleeping on?

(01:37:43):
Is that one that was custom made for you?

Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
Huh?

Speaker 2 (01:37:45):
Well, if you have a helic sleep dot com slash
big Box then Yet it was Greg and Lisa that
they sleeping on once customized for them. Absolutely, And I
can't get enough of it. And you know, it's kind
of like the old remember the old commercial, don't give
it to my key he hates everything. Yeah, And for
Greg to like something, do you relse I good?

Speaker 3 (01:38:06):
Ask me?

Speaker 2 (01:38:07):
Yeah? Yeah, tell them what you like and they build
it to your preferences. So high's it gonna be bad? Right? Yeah,

(01:38:53):
Rick Burgess Show dot com under sponsors. So, we got
a couple of things going on about theological world in
which we live, and I know that some of you
have been in this situation that may have a biblical
worldview like we do, and how many times that someone
has come up to you and said something that we

(01:39:13):
believe and say, well, where's that in the Bible? And
they were like, well, I'll tell exactly where. Yeah, where
do you get off of the Bible? Says this, that's
because I've actually read it things like that. So let's
first listen to the very wonderful and intelligent AOC. Remember
that we talk about one of the things that we

(01:39:35):
wanted to make sure that was clear. If you're going
to be part of this show, we are not leaving
the real world. We're going to stay in the real world.
And in the real world, I don't want to go
through this rant again. I think if you just have
walking around even you don't even have to have a
biblical worldview. You just understand biology. You know that it

(01:39:59):
is absolutely true that the biological male and the biological female,
though equal in value, are distinct. One of the things
is muscle mass, strength and all this speed point to
the biological male. They're just designed to be able to
reach different levels than the biological female. We all know that,

(01:40:23):
and it's unfair for biological males to compete against biological females.
That's not even up for debate. So people are starting
to do something about that, and AOC is furious.

Speaker 27 (01:40:36):
So here here she is, Okay, thank you so much, madam,
madam ranking member. Here we are today Republicans who have
voted against, consistently against the Violence Against Women Act, who
have taken away the right of all women to choose
and have control over their own body, who, as women

(01:41:01):
are bleeding out in parking lots across the country, standing
there allowing us to die. I would now want to
pretend today that they care about women and why to
open up gender and examinations into little girls in this

(01:41:22):
country in the so called name of attacking trans girls.
And to that today, what we have to say are
two words, not today.

Speaker 3 (01:41:35):
Today, we say not today.

Speaker 2 (01:41:36):
Yeah, yeah, that's by the way. This this is the
hyperbole again about women not having access to abortion on
demand has led to women everywhere dying in parking lots
as people who disagree stand and watch. I'm sure maybe
that's happened somewhere. I don't know, but again, you're not

(01:41:58):
denied access if that is your belief system.

Speaker 5 (01:42:00):
Is she saying to respect women, we have to let
boys play women's sports. Correct, that's what she said. That's
what she's saying.

Speaker 2 (01:42:05):
Okay, yeah, see, because when she goes into the hypocrisy thing,
we could then flip that back around so quick and say, well, interesting,
you brought that up. So you don't want to protect
women because you're saying we should let biological males play
sports against them, that they could be injured, hurt, or
train their their whole life to be the best in

(01:42:28):
their sport, only to be beaten by mediocre biological male. Yeah,
so which one is it? You're saying we're hypocritical because
you think we don't protect women, Except now I would
ask you the same question. You say that you don't
want to put women in danger, but you will hear.
So we can play this game back and forth all
day long. Let's get back to what we're talking about.

(01:42:49):
Should biological males compete again against biological females? But thank
you for your emotional outburst. Well, then it goes back
to the original point. Speaker Mike john was asked, asked
by a reporter, and I use that term loosely, does
anybody do any research, anybody at all, anymore, any journalism

(01:43:10):
at all? Gonna ask Mike Johnson about where in the
Bible does scripture talk about male and female? And it
does not go well for the reporter.

Speaker 3 (01:43:19):
So here we go and here's I may have to
see what y'all think of the audio on this.

Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
It's terrible on the reporter question. Yeah, so should we just.

Speaker 8 (01:43:26):
Set you let off by saying that a man is
a man and a woman is a woman because that's
what scripture teaches. You've said that seven times. Can you
say why the Christian scripture teaches that? I'm curious about
your spons.

Speaker 28 (01:43:47):
Well, it goes back to the first book in Genesis,
male and female.

Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
He made them. I mean, this is pretty clear.

Speaker 28 (01:43:52):
I'm not sure there's another interpretation, but everybody's open to
interpreting scripture however they will. But this is comports with
common sense as well, so we know it from our
religious tradition, which I believe is the truth. I'm a
Bible believe in Christian make no apology about that. But
whether you regard that as the truth or not, it's
also nature. It's biology, and biology is not bigotry, as

(01:44:17):
we say. Anyone who would accuse the supporters of this
legislation otherwise is ill informed. This is to protect women
and girls it's very clear. It's been articulated well, and
you've heard examples. Rightley is one of the most famous.
But again it happens all the time, all across the country.
Congress has a role to play here. We should step
into this arena, and it's an appropriate thing for us

(01:44:39):
to do. So we make no apology for it. And
this is not out of dislike or discrimination against anybody
at all. This is the right thing to do, and
it's to protect women and girls, and that's our role here.

Speaker 2 (01:44:52):
Pretty straightforward. This guy is claiming that I've heard you
say this for seven times, that you is supported by scripture.
Where in scripture does it talk about this, And Mike
rightfully points out of the first book of the Bible,
right out of the gate, when God goes on record
that he made them male in female. It is not

(01:45:12):
good that a male is alone. So I will now
make for him the perfect partner, which means he hadn't
made it yet. That means that a male would not
be it. It means animals would not be it for
some of you OddPet people. And then he says, so
I will now go on record and I will make
the perfect partner, helper equal but distinct, beautifully distinct, I

(01:45:37):
would say, and do say. And he went on record
and made a female. Jesus references this in the New
Testament as my Father made them male in female. Every
discussion about marriage, every discussion about intimacy, every discussion about
gender throughout the entire Bible never leaves male and female.

(01:46:02):
As a matter of fact, you will find scripture that
says that God hates when a male presents himself as
a female, or a female presents herself as a male.
You'll find that in Deuteronomy. So these things are they
are scripture. Now you may disagree with them, but don't
pretend that it's not there. But then Mike says, if

(01:46:22):
you don't have a biblical world view, you've got a
real biology problem too. So this is all just common
sense and it's the right thing to do.

Speaker 3 (01:46:31):
Biology is not bigotry. I thought that was pretty good.

Speaker 2 (01:46:34):
Yeah, yeah, that's good.

Speaker 3 (01:46:36):
I just don't think that dudes should be able to
do whatever they want to do. I'm not anti people.
I just think that call me crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
If you're just a conservative. There's that conservative woman again, right,
phone calls her. Next, Let's talk to you America a
day d eight the number six big box talk to
you right after this.

Speaker 1 (01:46:58):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Warning, in order to

(01:47:20):
truly benefit from this show, you must have a sense
of humor. So light up, Francis and enjoy the Rick
Bridges's Show.

Speaker 2 (01:47:30):
That's right, nine minutes to the top of the hour,
and Speedy is on the phones here. Next hour he
is going out to see if anybody can convince Speedy
to buy him lunch. Well, we'll give him the money,
but you got to earn it by making him say
the word that we give you. He'll be out moving
about the community here next hour. She'll be looking for

(01:47:52):
Speedy and let him know that you listen to the
Rick Burgess Show, all right. Also with calls coming in
on any topic eight eight eight six big Vox. You
can ask a question and we'd love to talk to you.
Make a comment if something is exceptional. I mean, I'm
not saying it's going to happen, because there may not
be an exceptional call. But if there's an exceptional call

(01:48:13):
during this phone segment one that we go, you know
what right there as somebody brings them to the table
right there, I mean, it could be a spin of
the wheel, okay, and a chance at cash or a
bundle or force us to do a bit, so doll
us up. Now we do have lines available, the number eight, eight, eight,
the number six, and then big Vox. Let's go to Chester.

(01:48:36):
Who is standing by? Chester? Welcome to the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 11 (01:48:40):
What's on your Minday?

Speaker 20 (01:48:40):
Go ahead, Buddy Heddy wanted to cut the confusion and
colleagues transendent table. What they are are is mail and
save mail impersonators.

Speaker 2 (01:48:50):
You know, it has kind of turned into kind of
a fine line there Chester. It's true, it's sometimes these
and we talked about that. You're right. You know, we've
had a around for a while and we've covered this
pretty good. But uh, you know men who will go
out and do these shows where they come out there
and pretend to be women and things like that, but

(01:49:11):
but everything about them other than that, you know, is male.
And so when you get into this world of I'm
now living as a woman, but nothing about me has
changed anatomically, You're right that that really isn't that when
we can even have the argument about the other. But
I'm just saying in those particular cases, it's not even

(01:49:33):
difficult that that at one time was simply called a
drag point. So I don't know, but you make a
good point. Let's go to Tabitha in Alabama. Tabitha, you're
on the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 20 (01:49:44):
Go ahead, heiy a.

Speaker 3 (01:49:47):
They we're doing really well.

Speaker 2 (01:49:48):
I hope you are good.

Speaker 13 (01:49:52):
I also going to address that conversation that the California
governor is already planning on rebuilding California at two point Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:50:01):
Did you hear that yesterday?

Speaker 11 (01:50:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:50:02):
Did you hear that yesterday? And even throughout the term
Marshall Plan and and all that, that was a little creepy,
wasn't it. Yeah.

Speaker 29 (01:50:10):
I mean the farmers weren't in yet and they're already
playing on rebuilding.

Speaker 8 (01:50:15):
Two point Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:50:16):
I know, I thought that was I don't. I'm glad
everybody's drawing attention to that.

Speaker 4 (01:50:22):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:50:22):
Look, if you look at the state of Los Angeles
right now in San Francisco, I don't think anybody be
upset if they would start over. It's kind of gotten ugly.
Need to redo. Yeah, but yeah, a lot of people
were talking about that was a creepy statement, but from
a socialist not really. Justin is out of Athens, Alabama.
Justin I was not far from you guys this past

(01:50:43):
Sunday night. Do you know where Anderson, Alabama is? Okay, Yeah,
that's where I Wasn't far from you, Noll. So what's
on was Anderson and Reville?

Speaker 25 (01:50:51):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:50:52):
Greg, now you're getting in Sherry's camp, justin what's on
your mind?

Speaker 11 (01:50:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 13 (01:50:58):
This is my first time listening to the Rick Bergers
show since the big here end.

Speaker 2 (01:51:04):
And thank you.

Speaker 13 (01:51:05):
I I like us going and I do you want
to give y'all or tell you all the best of luck?
And I appreciate everything.

Speaker 2 (01:51:15):
Well, Justin's kind of you to say that. Thank you
very much for the call. And and I hope you'll
stay with us. Chip and Selma, Chip, go ahead, Chipper.

Speaker 20 (01:51:23):
Good morning, Good morning, guys. How are you doing this morning?

Speaker 2 (01:51:25):
We're doing good? Good.

Speaker 20 (01:51:28):
Big shout out to Senator Marlin for calling out Congress
on going to their charity events, coming back in after
a few cocktails, having a vote and then also cheating
on their spouses. Yeah, you know, and and the log
in the eye here and a statement was like, there
you go, bring in Jesus baby, that's what we need.

Speaker 2 (01:51:51):
I laughed. I told Greg about that. He was so
funny when when he started saying, you got to be
kidding me. Tell me, this bunch is not talking about
people coming in drunk. Y'all all know we've seen people
on the Senate come in here to vote drunk. And
we're gonna talk about people being you know, not having
issues in their marriage, on fidelity. This room's gonna talk

(01:52:12):
about that. I thought I thought that was funny too.

Speaker 24 (01:52:17):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:52:17):
Let's go to Louise out of Alabama.

Speaker 26 (01:52:20):
Louise, go ahead, good morning, loving the show. I just
wanted to talk about the women yesterday questioning Pete, heg Saith.
The men were bad enough, but the women, my God
in Heaven, send them home, put them back in the kitchen.

(01:52:40):
None of them have since enough to do anything right.

Speaker 15 (01:52:46):
Louise, sit down and shut up.

Speaker 2 (01:52:50):
Louise. Wow, she said, Louise, Now, this is this is Louise.
This isn't Greg.

Speaker 3 (01:52:57):
I mean it's uh.

Speaker 20 (01:53:00):
She took the.

Speaker 26 (01:53:01):
Woman telling you to go back to the kitchen and
take care of your family where you might do something.

Speaker 2 (01:53:07):
Right your passion. You're you're gonna get to spend the week.

(01:53:31):
I don't know, I got money, so who do you
want to spend it?

Speaker 27 (01:53:37):
For?

Speaker 24 (01:53:38):
You?

Speaker 2 (01:53:38):
Speedy, Greg Adler or me.

Speaker 26 (01:53:41):
Let's give Greg a chance.

Speaker 2 (01:53:42):
Yeah, Greg, spend that Thingluais, and let's see where were
all right, Luis, here we go. You're you spend it? Greg, Louise, Greg,
If you win money, will you be so excited? Oh yeah,
all right, Well let's see what you will do or
what could be a bit could be?

Speaker 16 (01:54:00):

Blaze TV? Louise? No, not, well you are now and
you know you'll get an hour of the best of show.

Speaker 18 (01:54:17):
You were?

Speaker 2 (01:54:17):
You were two clicks from five hundred dollars. Oh boy,
I mean two clicks by the way, Luis. Uh, this
is coming from the text line, Okay, from the text
line are you married? Louise? Do we lose her? Because
there's all kinds of men proposing to her on text

(01:54:38):
right now? So I think we lost her. Okay, we'll see,
but call back. Let the I think Speedy is checking
with her right now. So Speedy, are you you have her?
I think it is he doesn't. Yees, yeah, I couldn't either.
I think we may have lost her.

Speaker 1 (01:55:00):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:55:01):
I don't know right now he's talking, so I think
maybe she came back, maybe her sail dropped out. But
look at the number of men on the text line
right now. People are saying she must be protected at
all costs.

Speaker 26 (01:55:13):
Is she married?

Speaker 2 (01:55:14):
Here's other women saying what a breath of fresh air?
One hundred percent agree with her and I'm a woman. Yeah,
Just so there you go. So Blaze's TV subscription for
Louise Top of the Hour coming back next hour. Do
you think Speedy may buy you lunch? Well, we'll say maybe.

and enjoy that. And if we should be adding some
to by the way, in the next few weeks, I
think you're going to love. So pay attention on those
things and stay updated at Rick burgesshow dot com. Wednesday

(01:57:31):

new one Daniel eleven today. All right, So a couple updates. Louise,
we lost her and Louise finally it was a sale issue.
She finally got to talk to Speedy. Those men that
are texting asking if she is married. We did discover

(01:57:53):
no surprise here, no surprise here. She's happily married and
has been would you say thirty nine years? Thirty nine years?

Speaker 4 (01:58:00):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:58:01):
So celebrated that. Yeah, so, so guys, she's off the market.
Had some other guys saying, is it possible Louise is
the unicorn from the Hot Crazy Matrix? So I don't know.
But anyway, so she got her subscription to Blaze TV
almost one cash, real close about two clicks. The last

(01:58:22):
two spinners have been like a click or two off. Yeah,
so so anyway, yeah, so pay attention to those opportunities
could present themselves at any time. Still a lot to
cover today, but speedy, we're ready here shortly. Oh no,
to send you out a little bit of pressure. Oh yeah,
this is not cold.

Speaker 16 (01:58:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
Well, you know when we came back from you know,
the business summit, not the hunt. Yeah, from Tales from
Camp House. By the way, still getting rave reviews on
Tales from Camp House. I actually have that. Yesterday literally
somebody said, as much of this kind of stuff you
can do, I understand, you know, I have limits to
give us all this wing stand. Yeah. So and it's

(01:59:00):
nice to have little things to to enjoy outside of
the daily show too. Of course you did, of cous
a lot to get all done, but so but but
that no, I get it. That's that's the world we
live in now. Content is king uh and it's fun to,
you know, go behind the scenes. And I love documentaries
that are kind of mockumentaries. It's some of my favorite
entertainment too. So let's review we we We came up

(01:59:21):
with some new ideas and so far they seem to
be doing great. I think the adjustments on the wheel loved.
I think I think the the big Vox verdict. I
thought it's first installment did well. I think I think
this we're about to try again. Hey, speedy by me

(01:59:42):
lunch the first one it was, it went really well.
A lot of people really really liked it, but there
were some moments that could use some work. Well, I mean, Greg,
you do you I mean, it's just it's different out there,
it is, you know, it is a different world. But
just remember that your total cash telling everybody that yeah right, yeah,

(02:00:07):
the whole thing about because you, I do need you
seem to identify yourself a little a little late.

Speaker 5 (02:00:13):
You know like I need better, I need swagged that
fits because right now I'm just a bald old dude
walking around being a creeper.

Speaker 2 (02:00:20):
Ye like, hey man, Greg, you think he's dressed Liken,
I know it's bald. So maybe maybe today your lead
stated could be. First, I'm not Han Solo. I'm gonna
have a jacket. It says it's currently thirty one. Yeah

(02:00:41):
you need to just yeah, but that's but you out
in the elements. That's part of it, right Falcon. You
think you think Ryan, you think Ryan Greenwood wants you
out there in perfect condition?

Speaker 4 (02:00:53):
I do have it.

Speaker 5 (02:00:53):
I don't know what Greg. I don't know what Greg.
What Greg allows? Can I wear a jacket? You can't, Okay,
it's in the thirties.

Speaker 20 (02:01:03):
I can.

Speaker 2 (02:01:03):
You can't think, Okay, but don't don't. I would lead.
I would pretty good. Yeah, I would leave. I would
lead by me, lunch, you will, I would lead. Of
course that's not Han Solo. But does that But it

(02:01:24):
showed as far from not not much, not much with
Star Wars guy that first, Well, see, everybody's on a mission.
I know that.

Speaker 5 (02:01:32):
When and we've even talked about this, when we go
shopping or we got we're on a mission. You know,
we go in, we come back out. And so when
somebody's going, hey, ma'am, what if they're like, get out?
You wouldn't stop if you were that person. No, I'd
run from them like you do. He's being sold.

Speaker 16 (02:01:49):
Oh I do I have to hide.

Speaker 2 (02:01:49):
I'll crawl behind them or they can't see me.

Speaker 5 (02:01:52):
Uh and so, so just trying to get their attention.
You know, ma'am that in the red kettle and you
walk by it and you don't have any Yes, you're like.

Speaker 2 (02:02:01):
I think I would lead though with hey, hey, hey,
I'm speedy with the Rick Burgess show. I'm actually on
with them right now. Then get into the situation would
you like for me to buy you lunch? And they
want to talk to you? And then we tell them
how to do it. What you did last time was
you would holler at people females and say, how would
you like to make twenty dollars?

Speaker 3 (02:02:21):
You want some money?

Speaker 2 (02:02:22):
Would they not be making twenty dollars? Well, they would,
but I don't technically, but I just I don't it
just I don't think I should lead to misunderstand they.

Speaker 5 (02:02:31):
Might not want lunch, but they might want twenty bucks, right,
so how about twenty bucks man, Yeah, twenty bucks that
you just used for lunch.

Speaker 2 (02:02:39):
Hey, I'm speedy with the Rick Burgess show. I'm on
with the guys. Hey, they want to give you an
opportunity to win twenty dollars for me, So really, maybe
that could be your lunch today. Okay, stuff like that.
Don't scare them. Come in.

Speaker 3 (02:02:51):
They shanify yourself, that's not I.

Speaker 2 (02:02:54):
Think that's why you need some swag.

Speaker 5 (02:02:55):
By the way, I don't know how many like I mean,
I need so much swag on me that I look
like Rick. I know if you would wear the car
heard thing I gave buddy.

Speaker 2 (02:03:06):
Dress look like a lady. I didn't know. I didn't
know that the new style would swallow your little thin body. Okay,
that's that's all you got. No, there's more in my office,
but I only have two twenties in my wallet. I
think the twenties, I think. No, you can tell you
what I can tell you where he gets what he say?

(02:03:29):
You got twenty You go in and get it real quick, you.

Speaker 20 (02:03:33):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (02:03:34):
Yeah? Yeah, just because I'll never get off from it.
You don't want to go get them out of his
huh you don't get in your staff? Well, I mean
I could, but it's my wallet's in the truck and
I just don't have it right now. Are you toting
cash on your wallet or you? I think, yeah, I
normally rarely tote cash anymore. I know, but it puts

(02:03:54):
me in a bind. So so a lot. So I'll have,
you know, maybe just a little bit. It's a cash
in the world, right, But I have an idea.

Speaker 5 (02:04:01):
I went to one area and I'm thinking I'm going
to another one today, So another parking lot that's kind
of close by.

Speaker 2 (02:04:08):
Okay, but you know that'll be good?

Speaker 20 (02:04:11):
Uh huh?

Speaker 2 (02:04:11):
All right, Rick, thank you buddy. There is the money
out there? Or do y'all like me?

Speaker 5 (02:04:16):
Does your money have to line up and all facing
the same one? But mine I had to face the
same way?

Speaker 2 (02:04:22):
Hey? Can you go? You want to?

Speaker 11 (02:04:24):
You go?

Speaker 2 (02:04:25):
They go fire the Millennium falcon. I'm going here?

Speaker 11 (02:04:29):
What is that?

Speaker 24 (02:04:31):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:04:31):
You get that?

Speaker 20 (02:04:32):
Right?

Speaker 15 (02:04:34):
You want?

Speaker 2 (02:04:36):
That's not very much, not as bad as that's the
worst I've ever heard about about.

Speaker 5 (02:04:57):
You UEP being conservative in their check I'm going out
where about can I can I call it a toboggain?

Speaker 2 (02:05:01):
I got a Rick Burgess, shall wear that, wear that
whatever I want you to do. I want to when
you go up to one. I want you to be
in your Charles Barkley voice when you're at.

Speaker 19 (02:05:11):
I'm you want to.

Speaker 2 (02:05:13):
Win in buck Yeah, I want no no, see these
are the things no please, all right, so we'll we'll
come back. Speedy heads out to the streets. There you go,
and uh, people are gonna get opportunities. They grab a
twenty off Speedy for lunch right up for Juli.

Speaker 1 (02:05:32):
This is the Rick Burgess shown here.

Speaker 2 (02:05:51):
Okay, so so we're back. Speedy is he's moving into position,
and we knew it would take him a little bit
of time because where he's wanting to go, he's looking
for the most people during the time that the show
is live. So, so can you get Speedy to buy

(02:06:12):
you lunch by guessing the word in thirty seconds or
getting him I'm sorry to say the word in thirty
se Here we got beat bases, so we'll we'll get
him in position. Greg is trying to get that set up.
So just just just briefly, if you see Speedy out there,

(02:06:34):
look for the toboggan. He'll be ready to go. Hey,
while we're getting Speedy ready to go. I do want
to talk to you about an opportunity. You may be
out there right now and you're thinking to yourself. You know,
I have a business. I have a product. I'd love
to market it on the Rick Burgess Show. I'd love
to have this team working for me. If you're looking

(02:06:55):
for that opportunity, all you got to do is get
with our friends at Syndicated for a national campaign. Uh,

God has blessed us with. And it's a win win
for everybody. So Speedy is now on location. Speedy, I
got to talk all this warming there.

Speaker 15 (02:07:29):
If you're gold, you can come sit in my truck.

Speaker 2 (02:07:33):
Speedy. No, this is These are the kind of things.
I know you're saying you don't want them to be
in the elements. I understand that. Yeah, yeah, but that's
that I'm telling you out here. He's talking to him
all right, So.

Speaker 15 (02:07:50):
Okay, I'm currently like running after a guy here, which
I looked a little weird.

Speaker 24 (02:07:54):
Hey, sir, so you're I'm seedy with Rick Berg this
show and they're trying to give away some money for
people to have lunch.

Speaker 15 (02:08:05):
But you have to answer a question. Would you be interested?
We're live right now. You sure you don't want twenty bucks?
And I got it, you don't. Okay, hope you have Diara.

Speaker 2 (02:08:17):
Accomplished anything. Now you're making enemies the help. I appreciate
it though, that he deserves that. Well, maybe he well,
maybe he was busy. He wasn't a little.

Speaker 15 (02:08:30):
It was a little word, all right, So right now, wow,
I thought more people would be here. Hang on just
a second. Oh, this is this lady looks scary?

Speaker 2 (02:08:38):
Oh boy, would that's kind of help?

Speaker 13 (02:08:41):

Speaker 15 (02:09:07):
Hey, I'm speedy with the Rick Burgess Show and with
they're live right now. We're live on the air, and
we have twenty dollars for somebody to have lunch on us.
But you have to play a game and answer a question.
Would you be interested? It's just it's nonsense, of course, Okay,
you are. I'm gonna take you off because I currently
have you want to speak Rick, guys say hello to

(02:09:28):
her so she knows I'm telling true.

Speaker 2 (02:09:30):
Hello. This is Rick, greg and Adler. That is Speedy

Speaker 15 (02:09:37):
Tiffany? Didn't there? All right, I'm taking you off.

Speaker 13 (02:09:39):
Speaker, okay, to get me to say something.

Speaker 16 (02:09:41):
Heah, you talked to him?

Speaker 2 (02:09:42):
All right, Hey, Tiffany, here's how we play. You have
thirty seconds, okay, and you can just start kind of
like categories. You can keep rolling stuff out. I'm gonna
give you thirty seconds. If you can get Speedy to
say the word I'm about to give you, he's gonna
give you a twenty dollars bill. He's gonna give you
twenty dollars bill, and lunch is on him today. Okay, okay,
all right, you read the word is and I'll take

(02:10:02):
the food or the temperature. The word is chilly chili,
and let him. Let him know, say, and we're starting.
Go three two one go? Okay, so he knows you're starting, all.

Speaker 26 (02:10:14):
Right, okay, all right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (02:10:16):
You're ready, all right, three two one go?

Speaker 11 (02:10:19):
All right?

Speaker 15 (02:10:20):
So how would you describe the weathersday?

Speaker 13 (02:10:22):
Cold?

Speaker 19 (02:10:24):
Uh?

Speaker 13 (02:10:25):
Creezy, breezy.

Speaker 15 (02:10:26):
Uh, it's cold, ice cream, it's icy cold out.

Speaker 3 (02:10:32):
What do you eat?

Speaker 15 (02:10:33):
Hot chocolate? Hot chocolate soup? What kind of hot soup? Popular?

Speaker 26 (02:10:38):
Beans?

Speaker 18 (02:10:40):
Bean?

Speaker 15 (02:10:41):
It's red bean soup. What's that chili?

Speaker 26 (02:10:48):
I love?

Speaker 2 (02:10:58):
Schiffany? You got that with goodness?

Speaker 20 (02:11:00):
Second?

Speaker 15 (02:11:01):
One second?

Speaker 2 (02:11:02):

Speaker 26 (02:11:05):

Speaker 15 (02:11:06):
Yeah, we got a right, here's you twenty dollars and
just do you mind? Can we take a picture together?

Speaker 2 (02:11:12):
Here we go?

Speaker 15 (02:11:13):
Hold on, just say, you know, we gotta go this way? Okay,
here we go, okay?

Speaker 3 (02:11:16):
Ice cream? Ice cream?

Speaker 2 (02:11:20):
She went from weather to soup that I'd.

Speaker 2 (02:11:51):
Okay, what's up Nigel, Nigel.

Speaker 15 (02:11:55):
So the game is you have thirty seconds to get
me to say what they want you to say, like
a phrase or a word whatever. But you can't say
any part of the word when they're trying to describe
to you what I need to say. Does that make sense? Ok? Okay,
So I can't be on speakers now, I'm taking you
off speaker to word you only hear them.

Speaker 16 (02:12:11):
Okay, yeah, all.

Speaker 2 (02:12:12):

Speaker 13 (02:12:19):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (02:12:19):
You have thirty seconds. Thirty seconds. I'm going to give
you the word. You have to give hints without saying
the word to Speedy. If he says this word to
you in thirty seconds, twenty dollars cash right there on
the spot. Okay, are you ready? And I want you
to tell him. I want you to tell him three
two one, we're starting, so he knows you're starting. Your
word is sweater sweater like aka, are you ready?

Speaker 19 (02:12:42):

Speaker 2 (02:12:42):
When you're ready, all right?

Speaker 13 (02:12:44):
Three? Two?

Speaker 6 (02:12:45):
One?

Speaker 11 (02:12:46):
All right?

Speaker 3 (02:12:46):

Speaker 15 (02:13:04):
Uh, crew neck sweat shirt.

Speaker 13 (02:13:09):
Who else?

Speaker 15 (02:13:12):
Maybe you wear for Christmas?

Speaker 13 (02:13:14):
They have Christmas on Twitter?

Speaker 2 (02:13:18):
You okay, but Christmas? Saying that he was confused.

Speaker 3 (02:13:26):
You say Christmas?

me and get something to eat?

Speaker 2 (02:14:08):
Require nothing? No, no, these are the kind of things
that we talked about. Bean soup.

Speaker 15 (02:14:13):

They've walked away with twenty eight bucks. All right, so Speedy,

option that if they go twice, they can take the money,
or they can ask to play one more. If they
miss it, they have to give the twenty dollars back.
If they get it, they get a spin on the
wheel that that might not be a bad that that

(02:16:23):
might not be a bad ad. You got me now, speedy.

the vehicle because they can't sit in the car. Then
they would hear it scared.

Speaker 15 (02:18:39):
Are you willing to play?

Speaker 2 (02:18:40):
You would hear it?

Speaker 20 (02:18:43):
No?

Speaker 15 (02:18:43):
Okay one second? Or is that no?

Speaker 25 (02:18:47):
No?

Speaker 15 (02:18:47):
Okay, here's that mouth?

Speaker 18 (02:18:55):

Speaker 4 (02:18:57):
Your word? Sir?

Speaker 2 (02:18:58):
Yeah, yes, sir. Yes.

Speaker 15 (02:19:01):

Speaker 16 (02:19:12):
All right?

Speaker 15 (02:19:12):

Speaker 2 (02:19:31):

Speaker 15 (02:19:32):

Good to see you. Okay, but you know what, this

(02:19:53):
world's weird.

Speaker 11 (02:19:55):
It used to be.

Speaker 15 (02:19:55):
How you doing, ma'am? I'm I'm speedy with the.

Speaker 12 (02:19:58):

Speaker 15 (02:19:59):

Speaker 25 (02:20:00):

Speaker 2 (02:20:27):
Word and if you do not a phrase?

Speaker 15 (02:20:30):
Are words? All right, I'm off speaker, and then they're
going to talk to you. One of them is a jackass,
but don't worry about me.

Speaker 3 (02:20:40):
Were hello, Hey, So what what's your name?

Speaker 32 (02:20:44):
Anita?

Speaker 2 (02:20:44):
Hey, Anita, It's Rick, Greg and Adler. So here's how
it's going to work. Uh, I'm going to give you.
I'm gonna give you a word, and then you just
use if you ever played categories where you start giving
out hints trying to get somebody to say a word.
You can't say the word, but you know you give
hints and then if in thirty seconds and you get
speedy to say this word that I'm about to give you.
He's got a twenty dollars bill and lunch is on

(02:21:05):
him today. Okay, okay, all right, here we go and
just tell them when you start, say three two one
and start. Here is your word? Your word is tummy? Tummy?
All right? You have thirty seconds and you count it
down when you want to start.

Speaker 15 (02:21:23):
Okay, what you got huh of stomach? You got to
talk to You're pinching something, belly fat, fingernails, right, you
have pretty hands. She's acting pregnant.

Speaker 25 (02:21:43):
Pregnant, You're bloated, you got to use a bathroom, god, stomach,
tummy ache, it.

Speaker 2 (02:22:01):
Was all vision.

Speaker 26 (02:22:02):
I just care.

Speaker 2 (02:22:03):
I got to give her credit because she did it
without words. Okay, okay, because your wine.

Speaker 15 (02:22:16):
Didn't say anything at all.

Speaker 2 (02:22:17):
I think that was way difficult to load your me
help you load your water?

Speaker 15 (02:22:24):
You sure well?

Speaker 3 (02:22:25):
You sure?

Speaker 2 (02:22:26):
Congratulations? Congratulations and tummy is that right?

Speaker 15 (02:22:35):
Okay? You see you don't need help. That's a that's
that's some heavy water.

Speaker 2 (02:22:38):
Too much? Back down? Back landed?

Speaker 15 (02:22:41):
Playing you want to play? Oh we won't. We won't
tell anybody. Okay, okay, you did great, ma'am.

Speaker 2 (02:22:52):
You want to you it's more plenty, You've done plenty.
I don't know what you would landed landed and I
like confused? Yeah, back down, over graded about twenty back
down over greeterer, come easy, let's come back, let's land it. Okay,
did you walked away? Did you know that every great?

(02:23:13):
Did you know that everybody won with like a second
second and a half on the clock barely?

Speaker 16 (02:23:18):
Are you serious?

Speaker 2 (02:23:19):
Every single one of them? Yeah? So Anita thought she
wasn't supposed to use any words.

Speaker 15 (02:23:25):
Yeah, she she likes you to have a tongue, right.

Speaker 2 (02:23:28):
Well, well she won. Well you can, you can use visuals.

Speaker 15 (02:23:31):
Yeah, you didn't help load your groceries.

Speaker 20 (02:23:33):
I'm here for you.

Speaker 2 (02:23:34):
Which one is that same one? Please stop? If it's
the same one. Yeah, she's like, no, it's just somebody different.
Well that's okay.

Speaker 15 (02:23:43):
Give me push your buggy back.

Speaker 2 (02:23:44):
What about that speedy? You don't work for here? It's
just good.

Speaker 11 (02:23:49):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:23:50):
Let me ask you this question, Speedy, Why I have you?
Do you do you think somebody said? Do you think
as we start building on these things that we could say,
somebody could try to go for But if you try
to go for two, if you don't get it, they
have to give you the twenty bag. If they get
to we spind the wheel as well.

Speaker 15 (02:24:08):
That's not bad.

Speaker 2 (02:24:09):
It's not a bad suggestion. I don't know. All right,
we'll speedy.

Speaker 15 (02:24:12):
I'm gonna have to rip that twenty problem right.

Speaker 2 (02:24:15):
Well, that could lead to yeah, that could be awkward
in your cold and you're cold. All right, So great work,
speedy as always. Well, thank you, congratulations, three winners, three
three people toting twenties. Now their lunch is done, sort
of kind of Speedy is off their lunch. What was that? Speedy?

(02:24:36):
Are you Okay, okay, what happened? I don't know. It's
a big loud noise. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (02:24:46):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the man who taught
the world to say, couldn't care less? Rick Burdshess.

Speaker 2 (02:25:11):
Yeah, that's it. We all have our commitments and that's
something I felt culture. Okay, so Speedy, buy me lunch
another successful round of that today. We do understand now
that And I don't know how this is a negative.
I really don't. If we're in your parking lot and

(02:25:34):
we're doing this and people are being given cash that
they likely will spend now at your establishment, I just
don't know why that's bad. How could that be bad?
I don't know, But apparently Speedy is in a bit
of a situation. But listen, if I'm hen like you said,
I'm giving out cash in front of your business, that

(02:25:56):
means somebody's going to walk in with twenty more dollars
they didn't have. Probably go, well, I'm gonna buy something
cause I didn't have this. Anyway, how is it negative
for a you know, hot rocking radio show like us
to be in the parking lot handing out twenties and
sending people into your establishment. Yeah, I don't say nothing
negative about that. I don't, I don't, I don't know,

(02:26:16):
I don't. I don't think he even said where he was. No,
he didn't. Maybe that's what they're mad about. They would
like a commercial. I don't know. Well, did he bother anybody?
I don't think so. It was trying to help people?
That sound like to me, I got sixty reasons he
wouldn't bother anybody, that's right. People are saying what you've
already said, Greg and others that if you if you

(02:26:37):
change the game at all and there's a scenario that
Speedy has to ask for the twenty back, that that's
gonna go bad boy. I kind of like it though.
You love to put him in that. Yeah, Well, well
you could say I'm holding the twenty and before I
give it to you, you haven't wanted you Yeah, never
handed off to him, Okay, Yeah, okay, Yeah, of course
I kind of want him, had to get it back,
but right, but you're right, we're holding it. If you

(02:26:58):
choose to do this level, okay, or hanging one, you're
you're doubling down. Well, well we'll we'll talk to Speedy
when he gets back. Do y'all want to throw out
a theory on why he's in trouble. Do you think
people found him? Did someone complain, did somebody find him
to be troubling?

Speaker 8 (02:27:15):
Well, he mentioned, uh, they're asking me to leave or
something like that, and then it sounded like he kind
of stayed. So maybe that's why you got in trouble.

Speaker 2 (02:27:23):
Yeah, he's got he's got a real history of that.

Speaker 3 (02:27:26):
Yeah, he goes one more, one more time, one more
time than he should.

Speaker 2 (02:27:30):
Yeah. The uh, you know, it goes back to the
time that he was We were we were daring him
to go all the way into the end zone at
a at a championship game or bowl game or something
in the stadium and security said, you're done running on
the field, and of course, you know I had to
say into his ear, tell them you're gonna run thirty

(02:27:50):
more yards in your out because you're not. Yeah, and
that was what got him in trouble. He said, Okay,
I want to run thirty more yards and I'm leaving,
and that too. That's usually And I think what happened
here was we need you to leave and him going,
I'm gonna play one more round than we're leaving. Uh,
because I mean, look, that's speedy. But you know, like,
like he said, maybe we need to put some swag

(02:28:11):
on him, because you know there's no van like more station.
You know, this looks like a creepy guy with cash
handing it out.

Speaker 3 (02:28:19):
Yeah, he needs to take my van, is what he
needs to do.

Speaker 8 (02:28:21):
Hey, everybody, come get in the van and then we
could give him some free candy to just to really.

Speaker 2 (02:28:25):
Make it all good. Some people are saying that he's
likely been taken into custody for solictening. I don't don't yeah, yeah,
I don't know. He was trying to buy lunch. Some
people are saying, twenty dollars for using words. Maybe you
should go forty dollars if you can do it without
using words, girl, because he kept he was a guessing
I couldn't hear her. And was he when he shouted

(02:28:48):
out bloated or bloating pregnant? Yeah? So uh so. Anyway,
and another thing we have today to cover, and this
has kind of been an ongoing thing, and the headlines said,
is this driver angry over high beam headlights arrested after
alleged allegedly ramming the car that would not take the

(02:29:09):
high beams off. I think that's a little much. I
don't want it high beam. But see, in the defense,
I get caught high beaming a lot, but I don't
mean to. I don't see. I got spoiled one time.
I had a truck that had the automatic Yes, well
that gets you mean you and I have these two
trucks we just got recently, and I didn't have the
automatic high being Do you like the automatic hobbam a lot?

(02:29:29):
At first I didn't, but now I do. But but
here's what I remember. When I was in Lyft Kit.
You know, there were a lot of issues with Lyft Kit. Yeah,
and everybody thought I was high beaming and I wasn't. Yeah,
And they kept flashing me and I and I and
I and I know I shouldn't, but eventually I just
started flashing back, like I have them down, so those
they can go. And what about when you're trying to
determine that they actually are high beaming you because you

(02:29:50):
don't want to give a faulse that they are right.
And you know what I'm saying, because some of them
are not that bright, but they're not. You're like, I
wonder if that's high beam, and you don't know whether
to do it or not. I think I think it's
also our new Karens society. Society. It seems to me
that people can't wait to try to flash you, to
tell you have a guy beans on, don't even give
you a chance to adjust even when you see them.
And I say, if you don't have that, hey, give

(02:30:11):
me a second. I was about to do that. That's true.
I think people like doing it. But this is in Kentucky.
He was arrested and always looked for this phrase early
Sunday warning for this cross lanes and hit them, allegedly
ramming a vehicle driven by a man he was angry
with for using the high beam headlights three forty nine am.
Let's take a note of that. And it says they

(02:30:34):
said a little short pursuit had to go after him
a little bit here he's sixty two, by the way,
and saying it tells us where he was. He said
that he got upset because of the brightness. Now this
is the one I've never heard in potential radiation. Okay,
now say who I don't think so it's he said

(02:30:58):
that once the vehicle stopped, then why did it stop?

Speaker 15 (02:31:02):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (02:31:03):
Was he behind it. Okay, now it looks like he
When the guy did that, he somehow he went he
was going, uh, northbound, obviously the other car was southbound,
and then he went after him. Uh and a parent
turned around Jase, Yeah, and he rammed them and then
the vehicle stopped and he rammed them again. Okay, so

(02:31:25):
they turned around, ran them down. They believe the total
number of times he rammed the other vehicle was actually
three times. So direct that radiation stuff. Yeah, they said
that he fled the scene. As I said, short pursuit
got him, got him pretty quick, and they say he
is arrested on suspicion of assault with the deadly weapon,
the vehicle, I guess being the deadly weapon. Let me

(02:31:47):
ask you this, how do you feel about high beams
behind you? Don't like it? He gets in your mirror, don't.
I don't like it. As a matter of fact, we
had a t there's no way to flashy thing when
I was coming back from your middle finger Anderson, Alabama,
or some will call it Andersonville. Yeah, same place. When
I was working my way back, we hit a there
was a wreck, so traffic stopped and that hurt, but

(02:32:08):
traffic stopped for a little while.

Speaker 13 (02:32:10):
Not bad.

Speaker 2 (02:32:11):
They did a really good job to get us around it.
We didn't. We didn't stop very long. Yeah, but we're
completely stopped and the guy's high baming me behind No yeah,
oh yeah, and we're all handling and probably just didn't
didn't think it. Just probably I didn't decide to. Did
you get in the ohio Ho? No, I didn't. Yeah,
and I don't you know, I try not to do that. Uh,

(02:32:32):
probably best. Yeah, but anyway, so yeah, the high beam thing,
I don't like it, but at times I have I have,
you know, said oh thank you I needed I didn't
realize I had my own because I don't have the
automatic in the truck. I have now. But uh, but
I will say this, some of you are a little
quick to flash. Give me a minute, just give me
a second. Have you ever been on high beam and

(02:32:54):
then they flash it and you feel terrible about it
and you almost want to turn around go and tell
them you're sorry. Now, you know, I'm just checking if
anybody would do that. Well, here's what I do, though,
I do give myself an official bip, you know, like
I'll get on myself. Yeah, I'll look in the riview
miriad Wischer, you're a bip. Now we'll do that. Yes,
because you have to flash somebody.

Speaker 8 (02:33:15):
You're like, hey, buddy, can turn your brights off, and
then they turn their brights on because their brights weren't on.

Speaker 2 (02:33:20):
Yes, that's how I was wrong. I've done that because
I'm a little high backed down to me, A lot
people do that to me when mine aren't bright. Because
I get a lot of high beam, I'll leave mine
own accidentally and forget and then when I see someone else,
I'm going, is that high beam or not? I'm not sure.
If you can see, why do we care? That's good?
I mean it's almost like we've got this now. You
know the pharisees of high beams are out there. I mean,

(02:33:43):
if you can see and it's not bothering you, what
does it matter whether it is or it isn't You
ever been pulled over for high beaman a police me? Yeah? Nobody,
I think speedy has.

Speaker 8 (02:33:53):
What about when you flash your high beams to like
give people their heads up, like, hey, there's a police
officer back there.

Speaker 2 (02:33:58):
I don't do that.

Speaker 5 (02:34:00):
Uh huh.

Speaker 3 (02:34:00):
I've never done that.

Speaker 2 (02:34:01):
I wouldn't. I wouldn't do that. You slam your breaks.
He thanks Bury, thanks for being with us. Job of
the hour.

Speaker 1 (02:34:10):
This is the Rick Burchase Show.

Speaker 2 (02:34:23):

Speaker 1 (02:34:37):

Burchase Show.

Speaker 2 (02:34:43):
Yeah, we can use some of that Speedy, Greg Andler
All here is the Rick Burchase Show rolls off. We're

eastern on our YouTube channel. Than the podcast archive and
the YouTube archives come in your way soon after. So
Speedy is back from another another installment of Speedy buy

(02:35:33):
me Lunch. And I think that Speedy once again it
went well, you know, this is that thing is we're
you know, trying, we're running some new plays. You know,
we get the film out, we look at it. Understand
that this one featured the establishment not thrilled. Is that

(02:35:54):
a good way to put it. Yeah, yep, what happened, buddy.
I mean, I't got in trouble a long time. Don't
feel we need to put him in an outfit or something.
They think he's just a crazy man running around. He
needs to have the logo. So what size shirt do
you need because it's cold.

Speaker 5 (02:36:09):
I always have that sweatshirt as far as cold oversize,
uh sweatshirt that car come up, come back? Yeah if
you if you don't mind, sure, But I was wearing
the toboggan whatever you want to call it. So and
I would y'all, y'all know this how I am. I
would point at the lot you know, so now I'm
just a crazy man, point on the forehead. The logo

(02:36:30):
is on the the toboggan. So I didn't want them
to think I was just making it up. And then
I would say, see, listen to them, because I could
be talking to anybody. If I'm a creeper, you know,
they might think I'm faking it.

Speaker 2 (02:36:41):
I think I think maybe you pick you picked a location.
Even though I'm gonna I'm gonna give you a positive
spin on this. You know, there's something about like the
first time you played it, you were in a location
where you felt like everybody was familiar with the show,
everybody knew who you were. You had a lot of
people did that, so there were much There's a lot
of joy there. I thought Tiffany was still in, Nigel

(02:37:02):
still on this and were joyful. Yes, yes, but as
they were. But I think you put yourself in a
situation that I don't see this as a native because
I'm looking I love, I want people to stay with
the show, but I'm also looking for new people. Yeah,
you know. Yeah, It's kind of like when I went
to speak at Michigan. Somebody said, does anybody know who
y'all are in Michigan? I said, not many, But I
like going there introducing us to new people. Yeah, some

(02:37:24):
new ground. So I think you picked one where maybe
everything wasn't as well known.

Speaker 5 (02:37:29):
Well, the who I'll call manager of fun, she wasn't happy. Uh,
And that was between Winter one and two. She came
out and she did know.

Speaker 2 (02:37:41):
She even know what you were doing.

Speaker 5 (02:37:42):
But you did three Yeah, because one of the winners.
I said, hey, if you see anybody that wants to
that wants to play, let me know. And then uh,
she even followed the manager out and said, I'm sorry
I told the wrong person.

Speaker 2 (02:37:55):
Oh, and so there was that.

Speaker 10 (02:37:57):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (02:37:57):
And so then I just moved to another their door
or outside, and I said, I'm going to come in
and buy something. Of course I was, so then I
had to sure but yeah, and then she saw me
again on the other end, on the on the grocery
side instead of the other side, and uh, and she
came back out and and uh, she wanted to know

(02:38:18):
my name. Of course I told her I was Han
Solo and uh, I'd be And then I went in
and bought something. So that took a little bit.

Speaker 2 (02:38:26):
So, yeah, I did.

Speaker 5 (02:38:27):
I had to go buy something up a snack, Yeah,
breakfast too, Yeah, and uh and I said I could
have there was a really good spot.

Speaker 2 (02:38:38):
Well I thought that, y'all, I'm not going to spend
the cash on that. I didn't know why not. You
should have said, speedy, while you're out, grab his breakfast.
Tell him what I said. He said, you would be
the greatest friend ever. Why do you tell me? I
didn't think of it.

Speaker 4 (02:38:51):
It was too late.

Speaker 5 (02:38:52):
I've let Terry know you were disappointed in my Uh.
I brought something in today and it looked like it
possibly could have been protein by until Rick saw it
and then realized it was, and you were extremely disippossed.

Speaker 2 (02:39:04):
I saw you with that type of work from home,
and I thought, well, Terry sent us a protein BA
and Speedy's got them. And then I looked at her
and you were just eating out of it. Yeah, that's
just free.

Speaker 5 (02:39:14):
And I get this from my wife a lot, and Rick,
you've done stories about it with you and Sherry Greg
You're the same way, Adler. I don't know if you
get in trouble, but my wife, she tells me I'm
a smart elec, and so I got in trouble from
the manager of being a smart alec.

Speaker 2 (02:39:30):
Again.

Speaker 5 (02:39:31):
Yeah, some of my stuff my response because she said
no fun here, and I said, I can see that.

Speaker 2 (02:39:37):
You know, little things like oh wow, just some some comebacks.

Speaker 13 (02:39:40):
You know?

Speaker 2 (02:39:41):
Did you did you throw out? We're giving people cash
and you're at a place that sells things. Yeah, I
guess people coming in and out they didn't like me.

Speaker 5 (02:39:48):
Talking to them and stuff. Maybe I should have just
didn't hurt nobody had a bucket or something.

Speaker 2 (02:39:52):
What did they call the people? Okay, here's where I
got an issue, because I think I know where you
were don't they have people standing right inside and are
called readers. You're greeting people that's giving away money. Maybe
that's what I do after retirement. I'm agree. You would
be the greatest Walmart greeder of the world has ever known.
Can someone answer me why who they picked to check

(02:40:13):
the receipt on the way out? Because they randomly pick
them out and then they'll stop me. They do you
get stopped a lot on the on the random receipt thing? Yeah,
I mean, what's the point every time?

Speaker 3 (02:40:25):
They get me? Every time?

Speaker 2 (02:40:26):
Well, that doesn't surprise me.

Speaker 5 (02:40:27):
Well, it's gonna take a lot for me to yeah,
for me to get there. But I have some other
good places that I want to try.

Speaker 2 (02:40:33):
So, but it went great. I met some great people.

Speaker 5 (02:40:36):
I put on Instagram just so y'all don't know my
story At Calvin Speedy, I put who won, so y'all
didn't think we're making all this up and so that
there are three winners, and I gave Rick twenty back
and we're good.

Speaker 2 (02:40:49):
Uh, that should be forty great. Here's twenty. Clearly gave
you a hundred for you. I'm kidding. That's just so.
How did how did it end with you? Manager. I
went in and bought some manager man, and then I
went in and manager, no fun ever, loosen up?

Speaker 5 (02:41:09):
Uh no, no, no, no, we have a She even
came out with like two vitamin bottles in her hands,
and I told her she couldn't have product outside.

Speaker 14 (02:41:18):
You did not like that.

Speaker 2 (02:41:21):
You can't, Sam, You need to step on back in.
Who youre talking about? Nurse nurse Ratchet who killed Joy. So,
by the way, anyway, it was good. It was fun
dating myself a little bit with that reference.

Speaker 5 (02:41:34):
Anyway, I was very concerned about the last winter, not
thinking she could talk because she was like pinching her
stomach and making like making like like weird faces.

Speaker 2 (02:41:45):
So I didn't know what to do. We could hear you,
and I never heard nothing from I'm like what, I
didn't even know how to much time. I had a
little blind don't miss this one thing we haven't mentioned.
And congratulations to her. Did you hear her countdown? Five four, three,
two one? Yeah? And did you catch that?

Speaker 13 (02:42:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:42:08):
But then we heard nothing. We heard you start guessing
we're like, I said, is the phone somewhere? So she
would she thought she was supposed to do it without
using words. Well, it was she was.

Speaker 5 (02:42:17):
She really didn't understand because her her cart was full
and on on, like where the kid would sit up
up tom Whenever she said okay, she just put the
phone down so she couldn't even hear.

Speaker 11 (02:42:27):
Y'all.

Speaker 5 (02:42:28):
I see and and I'm like what okay? And then
she picked it back up when I got it right,
But she still didn't talk well.

Speaker 2 (02:42:34):
And I've noticed too on Adler, very lenient with the audience,
very lenient. Okay, he gave her credit when she said
Tommy ache.

Speaker 3 (02:42:41):
That counts.

Speaker 2 (02:42:42):
Uh the word the word was tommy.

Speaker 3 (02:42:45):
Did we count that if she had said stomach ache?

Speaker 20 (02:42:47):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:42:48):
Did I get it right?

Speaker 3 (02:42:50):
You got them all?

Speaker 2 (02:42:54):
But you did say tommy.

Speaker 3 (02:42:55):
Yeah, if she had said stomach ache, okay.

Speaker 2 (02:43:00):
Out yeah, right, So this is fuddy so well out.

Speaker 32 (02:45:59):

Speaker 2 (02:46:00):
Fired up? Don't don't? I mean it can't be anymore?
Fired up? Johnny?

Speaker 32 (02:46:03):
No, I'm urried back on the flip man and join
the show. I was telling Greg I sent a video
at least I thought I did to him and Adler
both it's about an eighty year old woman playing the drums. No, no,

(02:46:23):
let me, let me tell you the song. This is
where it gets better. It's Disturbed, the song down with
the Sickness.

Speaker 2 (02:46:32):
What now, say, Adler, You probably know what that is.
I don't know what that is.

Speaker 15 (02:46:35):
I'm actually it's called well you'll you'll like just watch
her play it.

Speaker 32 (02:46:41):
It's called the Godmother of Drums plays Disturbed, Down with
the Sickness. I just stumbled across this yesterday and I
was like, oh, they got to see this.

Speaker 2 (02:46:51):
Oh no, that sounds like gold. You give me. It
is an elderly woman wearing it out on the drums.
I'm in.

Speaker 32 (02:47:00):
Close down and it looks like she's even the church
is doing it.

Speaker 3 (02:47:04):
I've seen that. Okay, I know you you're talking about.
I don't think she's eighty, but.

Speaker 10 (02:47:09):
She is old.

Speaker 2 (02:47:10):
Is this the woman that does like drum lessons? Yes,
and she's she's clearly. I mean she's grandmama, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (02:47:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, she she's grandma age for sure. But yeah,
she's super viral.

Speaker 8 (02:47:21):
I've seen a ton of her stuff and she's she's uh,
you can tell she has a past in the marching
band because she all the rudiments and all that kind
of stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:47:30):
Easy, let's see.

Speaker 3 (02:47:32):
I think I found it here of her playing disturbed.

Speaker 2 (02:47:35):
Which is have you ever seen this woman play? Oh yeah,
that's exactly I thought it was.

Speaker 3 (02:47:38):
This is my first time.

Speaker 10 (02:47:40):
This is it?

Speaker 2 (02:47:40):
So okay to come up with this in just for
a second. Okay, look and she wears it out. I
mean that is so funny. Yes, she definitely looks like
the woman from church. You know that's uh, it's out
front as a greeter.

Speaker 8 (02:48:02):
So yeah, absolutely, she's like you know handed she volunteers
at the library.

Speaker 2 (02:48:07):
Look at her. That's the first time I've seen that.
I've got. I have to give props to this texture.
Once I was playing drums to an ac DC song
and I lost one of my sticks, so I just
switched to a Death Leopard song. That's funny. That's a
funny text right there. Adler's not chiming in because he's
sensitive about the deaf leard drummer with one arm.

Speaker 8 (02:48:28):
But still I am trying to figure out how old
she is actually because we called her eighty.

Speaker 3 (02:48:32):
Yeah, she's seventy four.

Speaker 2 (02:48:34):
Okay, wow, okay, seventy four yeah, okay, wow, impressive Speedy,
I mean Adler. I understand you had something you want
to ask Speedy about him being on location, Speedy by
me lunch bit bit that we just did.

Speaker 8 (02:48:48):
So okay, I just need to kind of just for me,
need to figure out what happened here. You were asking
the lady to give you hints but for some is
and she started pantomiming just you know, and the word
was tummy, and so she started rubbing her tummy.

Speaker 3 (02:49:07):
And then you said, do you remember what you said?
You're guessing?

Speaker 4 (02:49:13):
I was.

Speaker 2 (02:49:13):
I was trying to guess everything. I was pregnant.

Speaker 3 (02:49:16):
Yeah, you said pregnant.

Speaker 2 (02:49:17):
Well one time she went like a hump, you know,
but one one time, when I think it was worse.

Speaker 3 (02:49:22):
You just said belly fat at one point, because she
was pinching.

Speaker 5 (02:49:25):
She went from like she went, she went, pinch she went,
and then she went like big and then she was
like she was doing all kinds of weird and I
didn't know that's why one time I said, bloated like stomach.

Speaker 2 (02:49:38):
But well, you understand our side of it. Yeah, we
thought that maybe she just pointed at her tomb in
the first and the first thing you screamed that was
belly fat yea.

Speaker 5 (02:49:47):
Her first move was this okay okay, then huh yeah.
It was a two hands squeeze too. It was light there.

Speaker 2 (02:49:56):
Crystal hunts full Alabama. Crystal go ahead, Hello, hey Crystal,
how are you welcome to the show? Hey, Chrystal, may
be sure and turned the radio down or what if
you're listening to it so it doesn't confuse you?

Speaker 13 (02:50:12):
Okay, there you go.

Speaker 2 (02:50:14):
So, so how are you today?

Speaker 13 (02:50:17):
I'm good?

Speaker 2 (02:50:18):
Okay, So what's on your mind?

Speaker 15 (02:50:24):
I was just I was just gonna call.

Speaker 2 (02:50:30):
Yeah, okay, all right, well what burgess? Every time I
put Greg, what's this deal? He's in there. He's laughing
like Crystal is everything? Okay? You you up and moving today?

Speaker 11 (02:50:41):
It is?

Speaker 2 (02:50:42):
Okay. So you're you're listening to the show on the radio.

Speaker 13 (02:50:49):
On YouTube on YouTube?

Speaker 2 (02:50:50):
Okay? Did I hear another voice for some reason?

Speaker 3 (02:50:53):
Yeah that's my husband.

Speaker 2 (02:50:55):
Oh okay, that's.

Speaker 5 (02:50:56):
Why you're being fed. Oh okay, well I'm white. We're
waving at y'all.

Speaker 2 (02:51:00):
Now at you. I was concerned, so you look at yeah,
please saw me. Thank you thank you so much for
calling the show. M All right, Greg, what are you doing?

Speaker 16 (02:51:14):
Thanks?

Speaker 2 (02:51:14):
Buddy? We continue, uh let's go to uh to Tom
in pel City.

Speaker 13 (02:51:22):
Tom going, well, I can't follow that.

Speaker 32 (02:51:26):
Now's the moment killing.

Speaker 29 (02:51:30):
Hey, listen to things. I'll see y'all at the end
of February. I got my box seats, man, I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (02:51:36):
Okay.

Speaker 13 (02:51:37):
And then also if he would go up.

Speaker 29 (02:51:40):
To management first, speedy and just say, hey, we don't mind,
I'm gonna be out here. And I know Greg wants
to have it kicked out, but you know, if he
doesn't management first before doing anything, should be no issue.

Speaker 14 (02:51:53):
You got it cover.

Speaker 2 (02:51:55):
Uh. Let me just say this.

Speaker 5 (02:51:57):
You got all of my experience, you've never asked management
for permission to do anything. Yeah, because they're going to
say they're going to say none. Better to say, I'm sorry, just.

Speaker 29 (02:52:08):
Covering up with swag and have somebody up through.

Speaker 15 (02:52:11):
We can be a bodyguard.

Speaker 2 (02:52:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:52:16):
Well that's why you know I haven't gone into any establishments.
I've stayed out out of respect to that, because I
could understand, Hey, don't be in here trying to interview people. Yeah,
so I tried to catch them, you know, going in
or coming out.

Speaker 3 (02:52:29):
But you definitely need to bring the most physically intimidating
person along with you. And that's me.

Speaker 2 (02:52:34):
No doubt about that.

Speaker 15 (02:52:35):
Yeah, no doubt about that.

Speaker 3 (02:52:37):
Have you seen the Bodyguard of the movie.

Speaker 2 (02:52:43):
I'm kind of hoping that speed he wouldn't sing to you.
He always love you. Won't be back more to come?
Uh eight eight eight six Big Box. Rick Burgess Show
dot Com is the website. Thank you so much for
being with us today. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (02:53:01):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Free Cities, three powerful weekends,
the Men Church Conferences, worship, challenge, discipleship and fellowship all

(02:53:24):
in one life changing weekend. Get your tickets now for Birmingham,
Adama City or Atlanta at Themanchurch dot Com. Disciplemen Change Everything,
all right.

Speaker 2 (02:53:38):
Yeah, we hope you'll come see us. Looking forward to
that starts next Friday, one week from Friday in Birmingham.
All right, So we run down a lot today, Speedy,
I mean lunch another. It worked again, so we like that.
We think that's a keeper going forward. We'll make some
suggestions and some stuff too.

Speaker 28 (02:54:00):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:54:00):
Some people are saying they'd love for it to be
some video with Speedy too. So I know that we're
you know, hey, we're a small operation here, but you
never know. I think we might be to pull some
of that too, and uh, I could zoom, but the
only problem with zoom is it's on speaker. Yeah, and
I think maybe at some point, I don't know though,
or maybe not. I was going to say that we

(02:54:22):
could have to run with you just to gather something
we could play later on the on the YouTube channel.
But again that just me. That just leaves Burgess boys
back here, and that sounds that sounds real dangerous. Yeah,
I might just have to be audio. But you know,
I don't know. I don't know that. Yeah, that's but
we're the start of it. You know. Well, I can't,
I can't. I don't know how I could pull that off. Yeah,

(02:54:43):
I am not here. Yeah. The only time, the only
time it would have really made a difference today, in
my opinion, was what Adler brought up. If I'm watching, Yeah,
if I'm watching and that woman goes to just using
physical clues and point to her stomach and you scream
at belly fat that, I don't know what I would

(02:55:04):
have done. I don't know what I would have done.
I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (02:55:08):
Y' all the ones that gave it the words, no
telling what y'all well, y'all probably gave Warwick.

Speaker 2 (02:55:13):
But we were laughing. We were laughing pretty hard on
the breath in the break. But on the audio what
we did get. Our favorite today is bean soup. Yeah,
I don't know beans. What I was thinking.

Speaker 5 (02:55:24):
You'll just say the darnedest things when you're trying to
guess stuff and it just makes no sense. And somebody,
somebody emailed me said, hey, man, good guests on Chili.

Speaker 2 (02:55:33):
Bean Suit Suit So Speedy you you know, we've been
talking about the world of aging parents taking care of family,
moving into that role because we're not. We're straight up
adults now. I mean we're late fifties. I'm sixty, we're
straight up Okay, remember how you felt about people our

(02:55:56):
age now when you were young. You remember that, so
understand that with Speedy it's a little bit more complicated.
Greg and I. Our mom doesn't a little far from
the studio now, so that's been real helpful your parents,
that'd be that'd be right at two hours, yeah, one way.

Speaker 5 (02:56:17):
And when I whenever I go up and it's a
full doctor's day appointment whatever, fill in the blame. You
always try to on the back end figure out rush
hour traffic because you're you're thinking, you're you're looking at
two major points, and one is in Huntsville to Madison,
which is the Space and Rocket Center, to Toyota Field.

(02:56:41):
It bottlenecks and backs up every time, it does every
time going well.

Speaker 2 (02:56:46):
And the other is, of course, Birmingham Metro.

Speaker 5 (02:56:49):
Is nothing worse than getting just north of town and
then you just see red lines everywhere because you're just
stuck in it.

Speaker 2 (02:56:55):
Had that going and coming from Anderson.

Speaker 5 (02:56:58):
Yeah, well, yesterday I went up and had a day
up there, and I'm on the way back and have
you ever forgotten something or forgotten to do something? And
then you try to contemplate do I have to turn
around or do I just keep going? Tell you I've
done that a lot. And yesterday I had to get
my mom's keys to her car, to the house. You know,

(02:57:21):
they got keys for just about everything. You can imagine
on this big, huge ring of course, think a large
ear ring and that's how big.

Speaker 2 (02:57:29):
Her key chane is. And we're talking about old school keys.
Yeah yeah, I mean, who would miss that?

Speaker 10 (02:57:34):
Right?

Speaker 2 (02:57:34):
If you have something that large in front of you,
how can you miss it?

Speaker 1 (02:57:37):
Well?

Speaker 5 (02:57:38):
I did, and I had to get her keys because
I had to do some errands and I needed them,
and so I just left them in my truck.

Speaker 2 (02:57:46):
I don't know why.

Speaker 5 (02:57:46):
I'm talking to Terry, and I get about the time
where I go from fifty five down to twenty down
to fifteen down to ten miles an hour, and I'm like,
I did, Terry.

Speaker 2 (02:57:56):
I was worried about this, and here I am. I'm
stuck in it, and there was nowhere around it.

Speaker 5 (02:58:00):
I'm stuck in rush hour travels terrible feed And I
look down and I see my mom's keys in your
truck in my truck, and I went, oh.

Speaker 2 (02:58:08):
No, not far away.

Speaker 5 (02:58:09):
I'm twenty minutes away in the opposite direction, and there's
three or four lanes of red lights and just people
they were. Now I start trying to get my way
over to get to the exit and swing back around.
Oh no, you can believe we've got to go back
Saturday for to do some more work and everything.

Speaker 2 (02:58:26):
And so I knew I was going back Saturday.

Speaker 5 (02:58:28):
So in my mind, stupidly, I start trying to figure
it all out about do she need her own keys
to the car and everything, and so I'm like, oh
my gosh, I've got my mom's keys, and Terry said,
just hang up, call me back.

Speaker 2 (02:58:39):
So I called Dad, Hey, Dad, Hey, son, what you doing?
I just left him and.

Speaker 5 (02:58:46):
I said, uh, I said, Dad, you're not going to
believe this. What And I said, I got mom's keys.

Speaker 3 (02:58:53):
Oh no, he's fine, he's got your keys.

Speaker 2 (02:58:57):
And yeah, hear mom.

Speaker 5 (02:59:00):
No, he's got your keys, your keys, okay, Son, So
you got mom's keys and I said yeah, I said,
I'm already trying to turn around.

Speaker 2 (02:59:09):
I was like, I cannot believe. No, he's just talking
about okay, she's do what you know? And I'm like,
could not. She's upstairs, he's down. So we've all been
in that somehow she would call out and tell him
I don't don't need them, and there's no way she
didn't need them real.

Speaker 12 (02:59:25):
I know.

Speaker 2 (02:59:25):
And so I'm already over.

Speaker 5 (02:59:27):
I'm got, I've gotten into the right lane and I'm
about to miss an opportunity to get off. And I
know my next my next chance is on down. And
I said, why I'm already getting over that?

Speaker 2 (02:59:37):
Do I hold you?

Speaker 5 (02:59:39):
Mom says not to worry about it, and I said,
what's it's It's like finding something that you think you've lost.
That feeling of joy. And I said, uh, I said
what that? And he here he is thinking, I said what.
He said, Well, doesn't Reese have to come home for
school go back to Birmingham for school tonight. He works
in Huntsville and goes to school once a week. And
I said, yes, sir, and he's and he goes back.

(03:00:00):
He spends the night sometimes on those nights, wakes up
at three and heads back. He said, well, just give
him to him in the morning and let him bring
it back. We've got an extra set of keys.

Speaker 2 (03:00:09):
What And I said, dude, whoa, No, I'm telling him.
I know he doesn't need to turn around. That's what
I'm saying, you know.

Speaker 5 (03:00:17):
And he's hollering that, and I'm like, oh my gosh, Dad,
So now I'll get back up, and now I'm ahead
with you.

Speaker 2 (03:00:25):
I couldn't believe because you were in a bad spot.

Speaker 5 (03:00:27):
But then you have the concern of I got to
remember to give keys to Reese because now because now
I'm here about it, well you're coming back Saturday, and
but Reese is coming back tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (03:00:37):
Oh Dad, there you are thinking, oh, yeah, that's perfect.
Now I'm telling him to give him to Reese, you.

Speaker 5 (03:00:42):
Know, and uh and so so this morning, so I
laid them out because it's I'm about y'all. But for me,
it's about laying things out in the kitchen to where
you see you and I and uh. I. So I
get home and uh and and I saw like some
snacks laid out, and that's Mama Bear.

Speaker 2 (03:00:59):
You know, she's going to have stuff ready for I said,
is this re stack? Is this his stack of stuff?

Speaker 5 (03:01:05):
She said, yes, I laid those keys on top of that,
I mean, on top of snaps and everything. And so
this morning I look down and shit, even he put
his keys on top of her keys. And so he
got out the door with him. So now it's on
him to give him to Tanana when he gets home.

Speaker 2 (03:01:21):
There there's few things in life that bring that sort
of elation. Guys. You mentioned the elation of I can't
find my billfo oh, I can't off key r fob. Yeah,
and then you know and then you find it.

Speaker 5 (03:01:37):
Yes, And I don't know what it is about certain
areas in traffic, because wherever you live, whatever big city,
whatever problem you have, you probably can relate. There's no
rhyme or reason of why we are in this situation
because nobody needs to stop.

Speaker 2 (03:01:53):
I don't understand what we're doing.

Speaker 5 (03:01:55):
But the same spot every time is here we are,
and we just poke along and then we picked back
up in about two miles and there's no reason why
we slowed down, but every time, and so whenever on
the back end, I'm always trying to factor that in.
And I thought that had messed me up because I
started doing the time, like twenty minutes to get here,
are gonna take me ten to get turner back around?

Speaker 2 (03:02:16):
I'm going back. That's forty five minutes of my life.
I'll never get You know that. That's the elation. Okay,
so let me ask you on that point, kind of
a word you rather? So you one of these is
going to happen to you? Okay, you're gonna stand in
a long line? Are you going to sit in backed
up traffic? Well, they're both bad, they're real, they're real bad,

(03:02:38):
they're really Which one do you think is the worst
traffic or the line? I may take the line as
the worst.

Speaker 3 (03:02:46):
I think so.

Speaker 2 (03:02:46):
Because I'm standing, I can't fill around in my car,
I can't listen to anything. I'm stuck. Yeah, you know, like,
do I want to be caught in traffic that's standing still,
or do I want to be standing in a line
that is not being run very efficiently? Terrible?

Speaker 3 (03:03:04):
I'm going traffic as bad as traffic.

Speaker 2 (03:03:07):
Standing still traffic. Yeah, so you really don't know why
it stopped, which gives you. Now, if I know it's
just slow traffic, well it's standing still, I may go
with the line.

Speaker 5 (03:03:16):
I might go traffic for the simple fact that you
could at least listen to music. You're sitting down, you
could be on the phone if you need to, line, I.

Speaker 2 (03:03:23):
Can at least see what's happening standing up. What about
when you're in traffic? Great, great point and you have
no idea why I know it's too far away, you
have no idea and looking for a flashing light in
these little ways and Google, I noticed because you brought it.
I went the same route that you just went on
Sunday up and back and twice people have had reres

(03:03:46):
and traffic and ways didn't catch it. Yeah, it's like
I think it has just happened so soon in front
of me that ways gave me no heads up. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:03:55):
And sometimes have you ever done this where it's red
or yellow but still says it's the fastest one. Yes,
and you get up to it and it's not really
red or yellow and you're like, well, this is kind
of lie to me. We're smooth running here.

Speaker 2 (03:04:08):
I'll tell you ways, won't miss a real road crossing.
It's gonna warn you about that. Absolutely no road crossing ahead.

Speaker 5 (03:04:15):
And I know the way out of South Hunstville, but
I thought I was gonna have.

Speaker 2 (03:04:18):
To stop by jac so that's why I went the
other one. Oh, you're right, you're right, all right.

Speaker 1 (03:04:23):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. We talked to the
public every day and trust us, you should be gravely
concerned the Wick Burgess.

Speaker 2 (03:04:43):
Showy doke, here we go. We're back, looking to wrap
up another hour. Wednesday. Bible study back today noon Central,
one o'clock eastern. Again, close to being being done with
Daniel Daniel eleven today. A lot of history, a lot
of prophecy, so catch that today. The archive will come
out later on our YouTube and podcast as well. Brian

(03:05:06):
is a standing by in of course it's Anderson, Alabama,
but many have called it Andersonville. Uh and even though
that's incorrect. Brian, Welcome to the Rick Burgess Show. How
are you.

Speaker 28 (03:05:20):
All.

Speaker 15 (03:05:20):
I'm doing good, sir.

Speaker 11 (03:05:21):
How are you the group.

Speaker 3 (03:05:23):
As a group?

Speaker 2 (03:05:24):
I think we're doing great.

Speaker 11 (03:05:25):
Yeah, good deal. Hey, I just want you to know
that it was a super pleasure for me and my
son all to meet you. You know, as many places
as you go to, you know, you would figure he'll
probably be like, well, hear, come here and I do this,
come here and I do that. But you actually made
you feel like it was your first time being out.

(03:05:46):
My son really enjoyed it. If you don't remember, you
signed my shirt and my mind and my son's Bible.

Speaker 2 (03:05:52):
Yes, so you know this was the guy in the
picture with you, You're the guy in the picture. You know,
it really felt good because you know, when you're stepping
into something new, uh, and you know it's always there's
always that feeling, you know, is this is it gonna work?

Speaker 16 (03:06:08):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (03:06:09):
You know where the people go come enjoy it? Uh,
you know, can how will it go? And to be
in a situation like that, because you know, that date
for me to be there had been on the calendar
for probably it was definitely over a year and so yeah,
so when when I got there, I can't tell you
how comforting it was for all of us here on

(03:06:31):
the team to see you coming over with you know,
a new one of the new shirts. Uh and uh,
and then coming over and bringing your son. So that
was you did a really really good job of encouraging me.
And I'm glad you got something out of it. But
the pleasure was and this is not just saying this
because it's the right thing to say, I sincerely tell

(03:06:52):
you that the pleasure was mine. Yeah.

Speaker 11 (03:06:55):
Well, well we sure appreciate it. We look for the
next time we get to Michi and and we really
look forward to it.

Speaker 2 (03:07:02):
Yeah, if you get a chance, I don't know whether
you can or not, because I think the nearest one, yeah,
by far would be would be Birmingham. Yeah, if you
want to come to the Man Church conference next weekend.
You know, all of the all three of these are
big rooms, so there's still tickets available. Uh, you know,
bring your son. Then you can meet the entire show
because Greg and Speedy and and Adler are going to

(03:07:23):
be there too, and of course meet all the guys
you know with with Man Church and there's gonna be
some incredible speakers. So uh, that'd be a good opportunity.
So if you if you get a chance, to grab
you a group and come.

Speaker 11 (03:07:32):
On, hey, we appreciate it and keep doing what you're doing.
Thank you, mane upstairs, it's going to look towards.

Speaker 26 (03:07:39):
You for it.

Speaker 2 (03:07:39):
Thank you. Well, you're kind to say that. Thank you
very much. So you think you think I got didn't
make my day? If you look at Instagram on my Instagram,
you can say I had a picture made with him.
I mean, you know how you just don't know, my goodness.
The show was only yeah what uh? This was was
a week oh yeah and uh and he comes up
with the you know, one of the new shirts here

(03:08:00):
and I was like, well man, that's what.

Speaker 14 (03:08:04):
So I know that.

Speaker 2 (03:08:05):
So that was that was so encouraging, Thank you very much.
So so looking now, I know this is a conspiracy
that we've talked about for years and years and years
on the Rick and Bubba Show, and now here it
comes into the Rick Burgess Show, this conspiracy when the
conspiracy theorists get going, I don't know that there's any

(03:08:26):
conspiracy we love more than who shot JFK. So Adler
has a video and there's an audio recording that has
emerged in which Clifton Carter, a former DNC executive director
and a very close associate of Lyndon B. Johnson and
apparently Adler. This is going to implicate one of the

(03:08:48):
theories people have always had that Lyndon B. Johnson was
in on it.

Speaker 8 (03:08:53):
Yes, and in fact I have the grandson of Clifton
Carter who who explains who he is where these tapes
came from.

Speaker 3 (03:09:03):
If we want to listen to that before we hear
the actually audience. Sure, Okay, here he is.

Speaker 17 (03:09:07):
I'm Shane Stevens and deacon and a Baptist church a
serial entrepreneur, father of four boys, been married for twenty
three years ish and spend most of my time running
the businesses here an he spared time I have.

Speaker 33 (03:09:26):
I go up to the ranch and I guide haunts
entertained guests out there. My grandfather on my mother's.

Speaker 31 (03:09:31):
Side, the es To side of the family is Billy
so Lestis, and he was engaged in the highest echelons
of the political power battles back in the sixties, late
fifties and sixties, tied in close with LBJ and.

Speaker 33 (03:09:49):
Apparently they were involved in some cotton allotment schemes, and
apparently he had.

Speaker 31 (03:09:55):
Some tapes discussing the assassination of John F.

Speaker 13 (03:09:59):
Kennedy.

Speaker 33 (03:10:00):
Cliff Carter was at one point the head of the
d n C and will do my crap. He worked
with LBJ for a long time. He was one of
his bag men, so him two three other folks would
help to pull in money from the big companies, so
like Brown and Root and.

Speaker 8 (03:10:18):
So he goes on, that's so that's who it is.
So it wasn't Clifton Carter. It was the other guy
we're going to hear in the tape.

Speaker 3 (03:10:24):
So I messed that up. Here's the actual recording.

Speaker 2 (03:10:27):
Are they hard to understand or are we good?

Speaker 3 (03:10:29):
It's pretty good. And it's subtitled okay.

Speaker 8 (03:10:30):
So here's Clifton Carter talking to Billy soul Estes, the
grandfather of the guy who just so he found the tapes.
His uncle got uh Alzheimer's and so he was like,
I've got these tapes if you want him.

Speaker 3 (03:10:45):
Trump has heard these tapes.

Speaker 2 (03:10:46):
By the way, I wonder if that's what he was
talking about.

Speaker 3 (03:10:49):
Trump has heard these tapes and knows about this. It's
good to.

Speaker 4 (03:10:53):
See what day's situation, Linda, and out of it, you
unpleasant worms here lately over the deal with that he
as hired as Mike Wallace to assassinate the president. It's
been technically every way, but we've lived through this far

(03:11:17):
and I guess we'll continue to do so. London should
never issue.

Speaker 10 (03:11:23):
That order.

Speaker 25 (03:11:26):
To my.

Speaker 2 (03:11:28):
But we've had our.

Speaker 4 (03:11:29):
Differences, and I'm the true blue the London as I've
always been and trying to carry how every order that
he'd ever given me. But this is one I'll probably
never be able to again.

Speaker 2 (03:11:42):
WHOA WHOA.

Speaker 13 (03:11:46):
Whoa.

Speaker 3 (03:11:46):
