Speaker 1 (00:00):
News stalks at me on the All Sport breakfast. So yes,
a full round of action is ahead of us in
local football today the Central League continuing this long weekends,
let's preview all the Gamesdale at Warburton is our local
football analyst, Morning Dale. Yeah, good done, Yeah good, thank you?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Right.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Wellington Olympic. Pretty handy lead for them now eight points
at the top of the ladder over second placed Western Suburbs.
Pretty tight from where Western Suburbs are, with Napi City
and Mirramar Rangers very much within touching distance there. But
let's start off with fifth placed water side Corori. They've
got Olympic this weekend. What do you reckon about this one?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Yeah, but I'm a trick you actually there for what side? Corry?
They're coming off I think Olympic. I mean are coming
off the back of two wins. Last week. They bet
Welling Phoenix five to three after going down three after
thirty minutes and then scored five on arts and goals
to secure another three points them and then they follow
that up with a close one mill on and over
Western Suburbs. An excellent long range goal from Edward Wilkinson

(00:56):
was enough to split the size there Waterside corry. Much
of the flip side really coming off of heavy loss
to Nape City Rovers. They will won the lap at
half time and then manage to concede seven goals in
the second half to leave napeield nothing. So they's put
a big bend in their National National League aspirations and
I think any hope will probably probably be extinguished if

(01:19):
they lose to them, which I suspect they probably will.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
All right, stop Outs still looking for that first win
of the Central League. Obviously a few wins and Chatham
couple things this season, but yeah, Central league wins still
eluding them. They've got an active City Rovers today.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, not a team that yet you want to be
facing when you've still got the big donut and the
wins column. Yeah, stop Out will be well. Have ACUP
heavy favorites I think for relegation with the lost to
North Wellington last weekend. They went down three nil after
about twenty minutes and then penalty in the late stage
just brought it back to three to one. But the
result means that they're four points from safety, so need

(01:56):
to at least have a win and a draw in
their last seven games looked likely, so far this season,
unlikely I guess, to get any of the results either
of those results. With nap City Rovers visiting, as mentioned,
they had a seven to one win. Their top goal scorer,
Oscill Ford's has seventeen goals, which is five more than
the entire stopout team, so we expect probably na pud

(02:17):
to be too strong in that one.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
All right, interesting match, I guess, one of the more
interesting ones of the rounds Western Suburbs and second place
hosting fourth place Mirima Rangers at a Deva.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yeah, two sides, along with Nape City Rovers are fighting
each each other for the last two National League spots.
Is assuming Olympic will get beyond their merry way at
the top, which wouldn't be any surprise. Yes, a pretty
important fixture for these two sides. Mirama had a pretty
handy five mill one over Island Bay last weekend, but
they did have to did require three goals in the

(02:50):
last five minutes to cure that the points. But as mentioned,
we of their third loss with that at the hands
of Willmington Olympics, so it was a pretty tight one
between these sides. Earlier in the season, with Mira marj
just sneaked home three two win and so I wouldn't
be surprised, but it's in a similar similar vein this afternoon.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
All right, North Wellington good win for them last week.
They've got the Phoenix reserves today, but I'm a mid
table battle this week.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, yeah, Phoenix had a bit of a mixed bag
last week. They had a say that Fire three lost
to Winnis's Olympic and then conceded in the ninetieth minute
to draw with Putni two to two North as mentioned,
so I will hopes a world of good with that
three to one whenever stop out. That puts them six
points clear of stop out, which is effectively seven given

(03:33):
they've got a better goal difference finish would going to
this one as favorites and they had a good five
to one win over them in the reserve reverse fixture
earlier in the season. But we're seeing from the weak
Necks that they tend to bump around and then the
results were given their young squad, so it surprised me
as any other the three results come out in that one, all.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Right, and then wrapping up the action three thirty this
afternoon at Wakefield, two teams down the bottom half of
the table Alum Bay hosting for Tony.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah, a bit of an interesting battle I think this one,
but Tony pretty much safe. I think probably a win
Foriland Bay. We'll probably get them to safety as well.
Maybe not mathematically but in terms of likelihood, given that
there would be seven points clear Island. They did win
this fixture three too earlier in the season and scored
all three goals in the final ten minutes, so it

(04:21):
could be another entertaining game out there at Wakefield.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Very good Sdale, thanks for the preview as always, enjoy
the rest of you long with him. We came up.
We'll catch up next Saturday.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeah sounds good.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
All the fort too, cheers Dale, Warburton with our Central
League preview as always here on the All Sport Breakfast
and the Women's Central League. Wellington United just a one
point lead over Waterside Carrori that is neck and next
both neck and neck, both five from six those two teams.
Today's games we'll see Harness and North Marist hosting Seatune

(04:52):
up at the Arena Turf. Waterside Krory will be hosting
Motuda and in one game tomorrow with those competition leaders.
Wellington United having the trip up to meet Taradale. So
that's how those games play out in the Women's Central
League across the weekends. For more from News Talk st B,
