Speaker 2 (00:21):
Well two three starting your morning off right.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
A new way of talk, a new way of understanding,
because where in this to get?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
This is your morning show with Michael O'Dell John and
Welcome to Monday, July the fifteenth. You have our Lord
twenty twenty four on the Aaron streaming live on your
iHeart app. This is your morning show. I'm Michael del Journal.
Can't have your morning show without your voice. You can
call eight hundred and six eight eight ninety five twenty two.
You can also use the talkback button. It's a little microphone.

(00:55):
If you're listening on the iHeartRadio app, press it. You
can leave a message today, in particular, I'd love to
know how you're processing the events of this weekend. You
can always email me Michael d at iHeartMedia dot Com
read has sent ge if Biden and the Democrats are
going to be responsible in their political ads, about all

(01:17):
they can do is run a test pattern at this point,
You're correct, Biden has zero credibility regarding lowering the temperature.
Why are ads now being pulled? It took an assassination
attempt for Biden to even reference Trump by his name.
All of Biden administration referred to Trump as the former
president or my predecessor. It's a tough road. It was

(01:44):
an impossible road anyway, but it's a tough road ahead
for Joe Biden. Can you make a switch now? Not likely?
Can you demonize him as a threat to democracy, a
threat to America, a hitler, a dictator after an assassination attempt?
I mean, oh, to be a fly on the wall

(02:06):
in the strategy room of Biden. Meanwhile, for the Republicans,
following the attempt on his life, former president is now
in Milwaukee. Donald Trump is there for the Republican National Committee.
We're going to get the announcement of his vice presidential
running mate. Also, the announcement has been made that NICKI.
Haley will be speaking Tuesday night. That's that final piece
of the puzzle, as the Republicans enjoy an incredible amount

(02:30):
of unity behind their candidate and an incredible amount of
momentum heading into the general election. Meanwhile, nick Ye hay Lee,
three cheers for Nicki Haley that she's going to speak
and unite the party. Nicky go away. Meanwhile, President Biden,
the Oval Office addresses the need to lower the temperature,

(02:54):
and the House Committee on Homeland Security will investigate the
assassination attempt done donald Trump. After all, very few people
trust the very Justice Department that's been after Trump to
investigate the attempt on his life. For this open segment,
you know I mentioned earlier it's unfair to turn on
your television and expect anyone host, or turn on your

(03:16):
radio and expect anyone host to give you understanding and
perspective after the kind of events we had this weekend.
And in this particular case, it's really true because all
we really have is gratitude. Many of us have seen
the writing on the wall, have seen this path taking shape,

(03:41):
and millions of us have been praying for President Trump's protection.
And you can't say any better than Donald Trump. God
and God alone is the only reason I'm here, So
all we could really tangibly have today is that our

(04:01):
God reigns, Our God is living, Our God is hearing
the prayers of his people, and our God protected Donald Trump,
and that same God we're going to trust and our
vigilance to continue to pray will continue to protect Donald
Trump as well as our current president Joe Biden. There

(04:23):
was a rant on social media. Who is the guy
that just had his network taken away? How I forgot
it's not our bell somebody else. Anyway, he was saying,
now watch the Dems want to get rid of Biden.
They'll kill Biden and claim it's a right wing extremist. No,
we just all rhetoric. Aside, we pray for our current president.

(04:47):
What is it was that Alex Jones? Alex Jones here
you go? Thank you. I get them all mixed up
and I'm in the media, But yeah, all that nonsense aside,
We pray for our current president's protection and our former
president's protection. Other than that, all we have is questions.
So I'm here to tell you that time and time

(05:09):
alone is the only thing that's going to give us understanding,
perspective and really any kind of resolve, because right now,
questions about starting with the shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks. Nothing
about this guy, screams, put on camouflage, climb up a building. No,

(05:35):
I mean, you know, there's nothing. I mean, I guess
when we get into his phone and computer, maybe we'll
see something. But I mean, how did he even, you know,
do all the site plotting, let alone, you know this
guy didn't. Dan Bongino was on last night on Fox
a former Secret Service agency. Oh my gosh's one hundred

(05:57):
and fifty yards away on a white rooftop up and
nobody saw it with their training. I mean, this is
such a level of dereliction of duty by the Secret
Service that it lends itself to conspiratory peers. Why were
those rooftops not in the primary perimeter? Why weren't there

(06:22):
Secret Service or law enforcement snipers on those roofs. They
should have been manned. That would be an advanced team,
no brainer. Why was secret Service not a part of
Saturday's news conference? Pennsylvania law enforcement officials in the FBI,

(06:51):
have you noticed there's no anti gun narrative going on
right now? That's odd for the left, isn't it. I
want to cover that less people think you're okay with
guns if they work on the right targets. The Good

(07:14):
Trouble Gang is now trying to lead the call for
cooler temperatures and peace. They're going to lack the credibility
to do that. For Donald Trump, I think there's an opportunity.
And this guy continues to rise to the occasion. I

(07:39):
mean the way he's handled all the lawfare and attacks,
how he found just the right voice, how he out
campaigned trapped in a courtroom, how those surrogates that came
to speak for him created such a uniting force for
the party. And then now this. I mean, if you
thought the mugshot was iconic, how about wait, let me

(08:01):
get my shoes. I have news for you. I'm a freezer.
We were recently in Oklahoma and my nephew begins to
choke to death his younger brother. My other nephew starts
giving him the Heimlich. This goes on for well over
a minute and a half. As he's turning blue. All

(08:25):
I could do in my frozen state was my gosh,
is this kicking a die right in front of me?
My wife's on the phone to nine when one finally
it comes out, this kid was so cool. He goes
up to his brother gives him a big hug. Good
job man, thanks, It wasn't my time was. I'm like, wow,

(08:47):
who handles near death like that? What little brother? I mean,
I never saw I would like I would be frozen
trying to temp to This guy just didn't. He was
relentless doing the Heimlich and I remember at one point
he looked think he was running out of energyves like
he was getting tired. I mean, his brother's bigger than him,
and I was like, am I gonna jump in? I
just freeze? Can you imagine if I got shot in

(09:07):
the air, my shoes would never even come to mind?
Donald Trump, hang on a minute, let me get my shoes.
I gotta look good. And then then with his ear
shot blood across his face, he pops out of the
Secret Service surrounding his body with a fist in the air.

(09:27):
And in fact, that I that is that is a
picture for all time, with it and the American flag
behind him, the Secret Service agent with the glasses standing
strong with him, the woman ducking his fist in the air.
Fight fight, fight, I mean, wow, where does this go

(09:51):
from here? And let me give you one other twist,
because that that would be our shallow view of it.
Donald Trump, a man of great ego, is telling you
this morning, God and God alone is the only reason
he's here. This could be a very different Donald Trump

(10:12):
moving forward, starting with his speech at the RNC, Someone
who really comes to grips with almost being gone, lives differently,
leads differently. Someone who believes that God and God alone,
for God and God Alone's reason protected him. Now, the questions,

(10:42):
why wasn't there law enforcement on those rooftops? Why were
they considered it out a perimeter? Why did no law
enforcement act quicker when notified? And we have tons of
videos of people screaming there's a guy climbing up this
building with a gun, no radio communication, nobody to tell
Secret Service take the president out. They allow him to

(11:06):
get into place, They allow him to get eight shots
off before returning fire. I mean, there's a lot of questions.
There is a level of incompetence or dere election of
duty that ought to lead to a head of Secret
Service getting fired. Let alone, we're worthy at the news conference.
What is their explanation moving forward? Never mind, the argument

(11:32):
was Trump asking for more agents than not getting them?
Is he gonna have enough agents. Now, is our FK
gonna get Listen, this is a party embarrassed that was
trying to take away secret service coverage for President Trump.
Now they're going to be multiplying it. They wouldn't provide
secret service for our FK Junior, whose father was killed

(11:52):
and uncle was killed. These are that Donald Trump would say,
these are really nasty people. Will that change now? Because
I want to tell you main message of this segment,
time and time alone, is going to bring us understanding
and perspective. Words don't matter actions to Right now, I'm

(12:12):
just gratitude to a God who protected and answered our
prayers to protect, and a call for that same God
to protect Joe Biden and RFK Junior and get to
the bottom of all these unanswered questions. Why no anti
gun narrative, Why no secret service at the Saturday night
news conference, Why no advance, no brainer decisions made about

(12:33):
a building in such proximity? And now the Good Trouble
Gang is going to be calling everyone to peace. And
a mugshot has been replaced now by an assassination photo
on the cover of Time magazine, the same magazine that

(12:55):
gave you the Shadow campaign. In February of twenty twenty one.
I mean, it's enough to have you just go and
what lies ahead this week with us still alive, a
God and God alone refocused Donald Trump and a party
that's already unified, already has enough momentum and already has

(13:15):
enough polling numbers for a landslide victory. What lies ahead,
time and time alone will bring us that understanding. This
is your Morning Show with Michael del Trona, Monday, July
the fifteenth.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Hello God Morning, Top five stories of the Daytime Well.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
A witness of the assassination attempt to former President Trump
at the rally in Pennsylvania says the shooter was moving
from roof to roof, no one did anything, and then
the shooting began. Lisa Taylor reports.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
Trump is safe and on the mend after he was
rushed off the stage by secret service. Ben Maser told
Katika that he saw the shooter sitting on a rooftop
around two hundred to two hundred and fifty yards from
where Trump was speaking. Another witness, Ryan Knights, that he
heard someone said, oh God, he had a gun, and
when he looked up, he saw a man on top
of a building with a gun aimed at Trump. Knight
said he dropped to the ground and when he looked

(14:13):
back up, he saw the shooter get killed by the
Secret Service agents. The FBI says they have yet to
identify a motive. I'se a tailor A lot of questions
about Thomas Matthew Crooks. There doesn't seem to be any
social media footprint at all, no ideological extremes or footprint
at all.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
It was his dad's gun. He was a registered Republican
who gave fifteen dollars to a very progressive Democrat group
after the twenty twenty election. Makes about as much sense
is why there wasn't any advanced team securing of those
buildings prior. Well, everything does feel different now, and so

(14:53):
a new message is coming this week from Milwaukee. Mark
Mayfield has our road to the White House.

Speaker 6 (14:57):
Road to the White House twenty twenty four. Former President
Trump is sent to deliver a different speech at the
Republican National Convention this week following the attempted assassination against
him Saturday.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Trump said on Sunday.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
His original speech was going to be a humdinger, but
that the new one is a chance to bring the
country together. The convention runs today through Thursday, and President
Biden says there is a need to lower the temperature
in politics following his primetime address of the Nation from
the Oval Office. Following the assassination attempt on former President Trump.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Saturday, Yesterday's shooting in Donald Trump's Trowling, Pennsylvania calls on
all of us to take a step back, takes talk.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Of where we are, how we go forward from here.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
Biden said, violence has never been the answer when it
comes to American politics.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
I'm Markneyfield. But he stopped short of taking any accountability
or responsibility. Oh sure, they pulled their ads, but for
how long? Biden said, Questions are still being raised about
the incident.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
We do not know the motive of the shooter yet.
We don't know his opinions or affiliations. You don't know
whether you had help or support, or if you communicate
with anyone else.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Biden from the Oval Office that he spoke to Trump
following the incident.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Thankfully, Former Trump is not seriously injured.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
I spoke to him last night.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
I'm grateful he's doing well in Jill and I keep
him and his family and our prayers well.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
We can only hope that now the left gets it.
Politics must not evolve to this.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Disagreement is inevitable in American democracy. It's part of human
nature of politics. Must never be a little battlefield of
God from good a killing field.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
South Carolina Senator and maybe the vice presidential choice. Later today,
Tim Scott said, violence being pushed by the left is
exactly what led to this.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
The liberal media, the Democrat Party continues to foment in
violence with an obsession against Donald Trump. We cannot be
surprised when people take that serious and say we must eliminate.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
That threat and moving forward.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
I do not have the confidence that this Department of
Justice we'll do the right thing.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
I think I get it all right. In sports, we
have a men's champion in Wimbledon, and I'm going to
probably botch his name, Carlos Alcarez. It's pretty good afterrez Alcarez,
all right, men's singles champion. He defeated Jokovic straight sets. Hey,
it's me Michael. You can listen to your morning show
live on the air or streaming live on your iHeart

(17:23):
app Monday through Friday from three to six Pacific, five
to eighth Central, and six to nine Eastern on Great
radio stations like Talk six fifty KSTE at Sacramento one
oh four nine, The Patriot in Saint Louis had Impact
Radio one oh five nine and twelve fifty whd Z
in Tampa, Florida. Sure hope you can join us live
and make us a part of your morning routine. In
the meantime, enjoy the podcast. As I stated in our

(17:45):
open segment last half hour, Time alone is going to
bring us understanding and perspective and resolve. Quite frankly, right now,
all we can have is gratitude that we agree with
Donald Trump, God and God alone protected him. I mean,
what other explanation is there? What if they hadn't had
that slide? What if he hadn't been addressing that slide

(18:09):
at the split second the bullet is being fired and
his head turns. How different will Donald Trump be now,
knowing how close he came to death, knowing that God
spared him? That are we about to see a different
Donald Trump deliver a very different speech at the RNC.

(18:30):
It doesn't matter what lawfare the left is used. All
it's done is give us the best version of Donald Trump.
And perhaps this assassination attempt is going to give us
an even beyond that better version of Donald Trump. In
the meantime, we have nothing but questions. How could an
advanced team of Secret Service allow those buildings with that

(18:51):
angle and that proximity to go unpatrolled. It's unthinkable. Why
wasn't Secret Service at part of that Saturday night news conference?
Why did Joe Biden have to scramble to pull all
of his attack ads and busses in Milwaukee? And what

(19:13):
good is the word of Joe Biden. We talked about
Joe Biden in his inaugural address, talked about we got
to calm things down. Joe Biden, his greatest failure is himself,
because he walked across the street right after that inaugural
address and did forty nine executive order reversals and fifty

(19:36):
new executive orders. And I don't have to tell you,
including hours before the assassination attempt, that the Boogeyman Hitler
rhetoric must be stopped was the only narrative Joe Biden
had in this campaign. Boal Trump was a convicted criminal.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
I mean this from the bottom art. Trump is a
threat to this nation. But Trump is even more dangerous
now now I'm serious. He's unhited, he snaps. He says
if he loses, there will be a blood bat. Trump
said that he wins, he'll be a dictator on day one.
He means, the folks, we're not gonna let that happen.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Over my dead body, will happen. I mean, that's the
kind of needs to wake.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Up and realize that Trump and his mega republic is
what they're trying to do. We're gonna join them, we're
gonna engage them, and we're gonna stop them.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
I mean, that's the kind of rhetoric that would incite
such actions less than twenty four hours later, and now
we're gonna trust this guy to tell us to cool
things down and be responsible. And nowhere in his oval
office speech was there any personal responsibility or accountability. And

(20:59):
how about the media? Do they have any credibility with
this new We should calm the way we handle politics
and talk as if they've had nothing to do with
this build up. He is not only unfit, he is
destructive to our democracy and he has to be Uh,
he has to be eliminated. I dare he say the
things he does? Of course I want to punch him

(21:20):
in a face. Yes, yes, I have thought an awful
lot about blowing up the White House.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
And with this kind of inspiration, I will go and
take Trump out tonight.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
And the donor class can't just sit back on the
sidelines and say, oh, well, don't.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Worry, this will all work itself out. They're still going
to have to go out and put a bullet in
Donald Trump. And that's a fact. I mean, this has
been the narrative and so far this political campaign season.
You can't run on Biden. You got to run on
anti Trump. You can't run on the proven successes of

(22:04):
Joe Biden. So you've got to demonize Donald Trump. Well,
no wonder Speaker Johnson issued this quote yesterday. There's no
figure in American history, at least in the modern era,
maybe since Lincoln, who has been so vilified and persecuted
by the media, Hollywood elites, political figures, even the legal system.

(22:29):
When the message goes out constantly that the election of
Donald Trump would be a threat to democracy and the
Republic would end it heats up the environment. We cannot
do that. It's simply not true. Everyone needs to turn
the rhetoric down. But one side, I mean, we talked
about this whole boogeyman thing Pabouch as we talked about,

(22:54):
and I'll admit Donald Trump, you know, while Joe Biden saying,
you know, he's the boogeyman, he's a dictator, he's an insurrectionist.
If he gets elected, he won't leave even though he's
been elected, and he did leave even though he's been president,
and he didn't become a dictator. How do they move

(23:16):
forward with that campaign?

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Now?

Speaker 1 (23:24):
It's interesting and it hasn't gone away yet, though I
presume it's hours or numbered. Betty Thompson from Mississippi, ranking
member of the Committee on Homeland Security that will be
investigating this whole assassination attempt. He still has a piece

(23:48):
of legislation that's been introduced that would remove Secret Service
protection from anyone convicted of a felony and sentenced to prison.
Of course, that's kind of up in the air because
while Donald Trump has been convicted, the sentencing has been
delayed and as Judge Marshawn said, until September. If still necessary,
the whole thing may be overturned based on the community
decision of the Secret Service. But Disgraced Former Protectees Act

(24:15):
is still out there. This is a party that was
demonizing and inciting against Donald Trump as they were trying
to remove his Secret Service as we're now trying to
figure out was there a lack of Secret Service protection
or was it just dere election of duty? And what

(24:35):
about RFK his father killed in a very similar election
cycle in nineteen sixty eight, his uncle killed As a president,
he's been denied Secret Service coverage? Will he finally get
it to the hill? We go? Calls for independent presidential
candidate RFK Junior's Secret Service protection where renewed Saturday found

(24:56):
the attempted assassination of President Trump. Kennedyho was running for
president against Donald Trump, and Joe Biden said last year
his request for Secret Service protection was denied. Listen, if
we're gonna follow this bouncing ball demonizing character, assassination that

(25:16):
didn't work, law fair, raiding his home, attempts and jailing
him over documents or election interference in Georgia, or how
about the thirty four convictions in New York that didn't work.

(25:38):
What's left kill him? Well? How about the role of
RFK Junior, especially in swing states? Now it's gotten so
bad for Joe Biden. Donald Trump wins with or without
OURFK Junior. But if you wanted to ensure some things,

(25:58):
certainly he would be a heightened time. And the bottom
line is, we'll wake up this morning at a fork
in the road. Did a take of first of all,
was a just alone gunman and a miraculous protection from
God that has Donald Trump still alive to be at
the RNC of Milwaukee? Or was something far more sinister

(26:27):
planned and only God stepped in and blocked it? And
is it over or will there be others? As I said,
time and time alone will bring us understanding, perspective and resolve.
In the meantime, gratitude to God and continued prayer for protection,
further protection for Donald Trump moving forward, further protection for
Joe Biden moving forward, further protection for RFK Junior. But

(26:49):
could this be a moment that for all of the
dysfunction decades marching towards this, starting with w and weapons
of mass destruction in a rock, demonizing him for a
nine to eleven attack, through Obama, through Trump the first time,

(27:12):
through Biden, and now Trump again, can all of that
be corrected in this moment? Only if the left and
some on the right, but mainly the left, realize how
out of hand this has gotten, you know, I remember
after nine to eleven, and I used to do a

(27:33):
lot more fun shows back then. I remember talking to
Governor Keating and Oklahoma about the irony of when it'll
be appropriate for someone to crack a joke, When will
it be appropriate for life to return to normal? It
kind of has that feel, and I suspect in time,

(27:57):
things will return to normal, just like they did nine
to eleven, just after they did after Katrina, just as
they did and always seem to do. And when it does,
will we return to our silos, return to our fighting
on social media, return to egging on this kind of
inciting divisiveness that leads to violence. Only time will tell.

(28:22):
Only time will tell if Joe Biden is going to
keep his word, not just pull his ads, but pull
this kind of rhetoric, or will a week from now,
in desperation, with nowhere else to go, will they return
to demonizing Trump? Time and time alone will bring us understanding, perspective,

(28:44):
and resolve. In the meantime, nothing but questions and plenty
of them.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Good morning, guys, This is jail for Pleasant View, Tennessee,
and my.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Morning show is your morning show with Michael Dale.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Johner following an attempt down his life over the weekend.
President Trump is now in Milwaukee ahead of the RNC convention. Also,
NICKI Haley is announced she will speak on Tuesday, further
signs the Republican Party continues to unify. Meanwhile, President Biden
gives an Oval Office address, only the third of his presidency,
and a president who just on Friday and a speech

(29:20):
was saying this bald.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Trump is a convicted criminal, and I mean this from
the bottom art. Trump is a threat to this nation.
But Trump is even more dangerous now now I'm serious.
He's unhitged, he snapped. He says if he loses, there

(29:44):
will be a blood bat. Trump said that he wins,
he'll be a dictator. On day one, he meets the folks,
We're not gonna.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Let that happen.

Speaker 6 (29:54):
Over my dead body will happen.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
So that president on Friday, Sunday night from the Old
Office is telling us all it's time to lower the
temperature in politics. Your morning show national correspondent Roy O'Neil
is adjoining us ahead of the convention. This changes everything,
not just for Donald Trump, who I'm sure is a
change man. After admitting that God and God alone is
his reason for still being alive. But the path forward

(30:18):
for Joe Biden just gets a lot tougher now, too,
doesn't it. It does, We'll see.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
I think it's still early days as to how this
attack on Saturday changes the electric I don't know if
any Biden supporter is suddenly going to flip their vote
as a result, but maybe it motivates turnout come November.
So it is a bit of a wait and see.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
For Donald Trump, we know he's changing his speech and
the necessity is to change the tone. Perhaps he will
lead by example, not just in words, but in action.
Do you think it's going to have any impact on
his choice for vice president because that decision is not,
according to officials in his campaign, been made yet.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
Yeah, which is disturbing in and of itself. But you know,
to come this close without having a decision, But I
don't think so. I mean, I think you don't have
to make up your mind, right, There aren't that many
people that you think you could work with over the
next four years who are qualified to step in, you know,
on day one, God forbid if something else were to

(31:21):
happen to this former president. So you know, we'll see.
I don't. Yeah, it's tough to judge, but we now
know that the former president will be making some sort
of an appearance at the convention tonight.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Ahead of schedule.

Speaker 4 (31:34):
What he does, if he does it alone with someone,
that's all still being worked out.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
I think, all right, So you just touched on the
point I was going to make if you're Donald Trump
prior to this, and I don't you know, as we
learned from Donald Trump Junior in an interview with w
AI Radio, you know, the president has seen this kind
of trajectory coming. It's been a concern. But now that
it has happened, you know, we said he could pick

(32:02):
a vice Well, why do you pick a vice president? Well,
somebody that can be president or bring a state that
can make the difference in the electoral college map. That
doesn't seem to be of the great concern it was
months ago. You would think it would come to the
top of the list either the future of trump Ism
or to be a heartbeat away. And that's why I
asked the question. We know it's changed his speech, as

(32:22):
it maybe changed his choice.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Yeah, I just don't know. I mean, I think, don't
we want all vice presidents to be chosen on the
fact that they can take the job day one if necessary.
But you know, as you said, what the priority was
and making the choice is the big question, and I
guess we'll see.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
And then there's so many questions involving Secret Service. I
don't know. You've been a reporter as long as I've
been a talk show host. Didn't you find it odd
secret Service wasn't at Saturday night's news conference. I did not.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
Well, if you got me haming in hung on that one,
clearly I can see why they would stay silent. I
think that's more their their motive operation is that they
tend to be silent. Even yesterday, when we did get
an update from here in Milwaukee from the Secret Service

(33:18):
agent who's been in control of planning the security detail
here for over a year, she didn't take questions. So
the Secret Service really is reluctant to get out in
front of those microphones. So I don't think that's out
of character for that to happen, all right, if anybody,
by the way, whatever they say at a press conference
is going to turn into congressional testimony, So I think

(33:40):
they have to be careful about what they.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
Say, good point. All right, so you're in Milwaukee, right, yes, yeah,
so sense of security it feels good.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
Yeah. I mean, look anytime this is my seventh convention.
I think anytime you do these, the security is massive.
There Jersey bear barriers, roads are closed, fencing goes up.
I mean they're like armed encampments. And we were seeing
more of the roads being closed and that fencing and
going up.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Just yesterday.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
You'd walk into a venue and then by the time
you toured it and walked out, the different street had
closed in a different direction. It's that complex.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
So as we heard from.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
That Secret Service agent on Sunday, she said that really
the plan isn't changing much even after what happened on Saturday, saying, look,
this is the highest level of security we do. There's
not much more we cand do.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
And Rory will have the preview of the messaging and
highlights of what we can anticipate as the Republican Convention
is upon us from Milwaukee, and Roriy O'Neil is on
the scene. Rory, thank you so much. We'll talk again
next hour. We're all in this together. This is your
morning show with Michael Hill and showing up
