like Talk Radio ninety eight point three and fifteen ten
WLAC in Nashville, Tupelos News and Talk one oh one
point one and ten sixty WKMQ, and how about Talk
six fifty KSTE in Sacramento, California. Love to have you

(00:21):
listen live, but are grateful you're here now for the podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Enjoy well two three starting your morning off right, A
new way of talk, a new way of understanding, because
grandness to get This is your morning.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Show with Michael Dell Chorno.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Thanks you, Mike McCann six minutes after the hour, and
welcome to Thursday, July the twenty fifth, twenty twenty four.
I said early on, I thought it was a no
brainer for RFK to approach Telsey Gabbard as a running
big one who left the party, one who was forced
out of the party, would make a great ticket to
explain to America the the problem we have with our
two party system in one in particular. Then I thought

(01:04):
it'd be a pretty wise choice for Donald Trump. He
made a different choice, but her voice still needs to
be heard, her service still acknowledged. A Lieutenant colonel, an
Iraqi veteran, an eight year member of the United States
House of Representatives, a former Democrat Party candidate for president,
and author of the book For Love of Country, Leave
the Democrat Party Behind on Simon and Schuster, Telsea Gabbart,

(01:27):
Great to meet you by phone. It's a thrill for me.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Thank you so much. It's great to talk to you.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Would you make of that speech last night? I mean, first,
we have Bibi Netanyah, who half the Democrats won't show
up for the speech. They can't figure out what side
they're on, even though Hamas doesn't acknowledge Israel's right to exist.
And then we have the president who doesn't seem to
acknowledge Republican's right to exist in a farewell speech. We
live in interesting times, don't we.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
It's pretty troubling times. It's interesting, to say the least.
It was heartbreaking to see those pro Hamas demonstrators, protesters,
rioters burning the American flag.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
And I saw one video of a guy who came up.

Speaker 5 (02:10):
And he tried to grab the flag and stopped it
from burning, and take it away, take it off the ground,
and he was chased down by a mob of these
pro Hamas pro terrorist protesters. And you know, I just
I thought as I was looking at that we have
the First Amendment, every person has the right to peacefully protests.

(02:31):
But here we have a group of people who are
advocating and acting as apologists and allies for an Islamist
terrorist group of the ilk of terrorists that I and
so many of my brothers and sisters in uniform went
overseas to fight against and defeat the same kind of

(02:54):
islamis Terrish attacked us on nine to eleven. And as
I as I saw this going down yesterday, I just thought, well,
what about the eighty year old grandmother who's a peaceful
pro life protester who is hauled away in handcuffed as
she peacefully protested for the right to like liberty and

(03:14):
the pursuit of happiness. And what a dichotomy and a
statement is of this administration and what they care about
and who they care about, who they are targeting, and
who they are standing asideline.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
So if Kamala is the new choice, she a misses
the low hanging fruit of firing a Secret Service director
or calling for the firing of a Secret Service director
remains silent. Then as Vice President, she doesn't preside over
an Allies speech at a time of war. Protesters are
busted in and paid for. But this is a former

(03:49):
speaker who said calling for a cease fire and calling
for hostages to be returned home as if it's Israel
holding the hostages. I mean, boy, the Democrat Party as
an eye problem Israel, don't they.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
Yes, they do, you know, and and the it's tough
on this one. There are some Democrats who have been
calling out for Israel's right to self defense. But the
thing that they really have a problem with that is
bigger than just Israel is the fact that not a
single one of them that I have heard at least
certainly not the president, certainly not Vice President Harris, not

(04:26):
a single one of them has called out this radical
Islamist terrrist group that attacked Israel on October seventh, and
the ideology that's driving them, what's their.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Goal and what their objective is.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
This wasn't just a criminal act in quite frankly, it
wasn't just an act of barbarism. Yes it was, it
was that, but it was done in in the what
as an act towards their objective, which is the extermination
of all Jewish people, And like every other islamus roraist
group in the world.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
They want to establish and is Amith caliphate around the world.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
We need leaders with courage to call them out and
to take action to defeat them militarily when and where necessary.
But ideologically, we have to defeat this isn't this ideology
with the ideology of freedom.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Telsey Gabber joining us. We had a shadow campaign to
save democracy from Trump in twenty twenty. Are we in
the midst of a shadow campaign to save the Democrat
Party from Democrat voters? What do you make of this?
Joe's out, Kamala is in and apparently all the Moneys
are all the delegates are hers, and doesn't win a
single election, but she's the heir apparent. What do you

(05:37):
make of this?

Speaker 4 (05:37):
That's happening exactly?

Speaker 5 (05:39):
I mean, it's interesting, as you mentioned Bobby Kennedy in
your intro, when you look back, they didn't have a
Democratic primary to nominate Joe Biden either, So what they're
doing with Kamala Harris now shouldn't surprise us. The fact
that they blocked other Democratic candidates who were running for
president from Eden showing up on the ballot in Trump state.

(06:02):
They canceled primary elections outright in other states, like yeah, no,
we're just not going to let people vote, and essentially
then just settled Joe Biden as a president so that
no one is allowed to challenge him.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
That doesn't sound much like a democracy to me, really.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
And then now, of course they're doing it with Kamala Harris,
so this is par for the course for them.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Why did it seem like such a no brainer to me?
And were you ever approached by RFK or Donald Trump?
Because I think you were a no brainer for both.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
I was approached by RFK and was told I was
under the top consideration by President Trump.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Obviously, ultimately he selected JD. Vance.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
And with those those final names that were in contention
there towards those last days, I think JD was the
best of that.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Group and I think the right pick.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
And one of the reasons why I think that that
pick was affirmed was how much the neo cons and
warmon in Washington immediately started freaking out at JD. Vance's
selection because he's shown in his short time in the Senate.
He's only been there for you know, a little over
a year. He has the courage in the backbone to

(07:13):
stand up to the deep state in the military industrial complex,
when many Republicans and Democrats don't.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
I will say it wasn't you. I was disappointed, But
because it was JD. Vance, my presumption was you were pleased.
He's saying a lot of things you've been saying for years.
Telsey Gabbert joining us. All right, Telsey, we have such
a short period of time. Let me get right to
this question. We have this with education. It's failing to
educate our kids. It's socializing them, it's indoctrinating, but it's failing.

(07:40):
The scores prove it. It's not preparing him for higher education, citizenry,
or the workforce. So the question for parents is do
we stay and fight and change public education and its outcome,
or is it time to abandon. You could say the
same thing for the Democrat Party, And the title of
the book gives us your choice, for the love of country,

(08:00):
lead the Democrat Party behind. Is it really that far gone?
Leaving is the only solution for true Democrats?

Speaker 5 (08:08):
Yes, at this point it is, and it's unfortunate to
say that, but I titled my book that for a reason,
I suck around the Democratic Party for a long time.
I was vice served the DNC. I ran for president
in twenty twenty, all with the hopes of trying to
change that party from within. It is, as you know
very well, and has been now for quite some time,

(08:32):
under the complete control of it elitist cabal of warmongers,
led by the ills of the Queen of Warmongers herself,
Hillary Clinton and the Democrat elite have no interest in
becoming once again the party of JFK, becoming that big,
open tent party that celebrates free speech and defensive a liberties,
that celebrates the vision of and wants to make the

(08:53):
dream of Martin Luther Chin a reality. Instead, they're doing
the exact opposite. They're racializing everything, They're divided us in
every way possible. They're defining our constitution, undermining our freedom,
and it pushed us to the brink of war with
multiple countries and closer to nuclear war than ever before.
I see no option at this point but to leave

(09:15):
the Democratic Party behind, and we are country first.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
We could do the pendulum from FDR to LBJ to
Barack Obama to I guess Kamala Harris. Now, how about
the pendulum from JFK to Ted Kennedy And that's the
same womb. All right, So this party has shifted left
and taken America with it. We've now got Joe out
because he can't win, not because apparently he's not capable

(09:40):
of the race or service. Otherwise he should leave immediately
as president. You got Kamala in. We had an assassination attempt.
I'll give you a jfquick question. How does all this
play out? And what's next? And what do you fear
is next?

Speaker 5 (09:54):
Well, anyone who cherishes peace and freedom and who really
loves our country must commit to, first of all, defeating
Kamala Harris. There's a clear choice in this election, assuming
she is the nominee, as all signs point in that direction.
There's a choice between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris and

(10:15):
whoever she chooses as her running mate. If you vote
for Kamala Harris, you're voting for more tyranny, a government
that will take away more of our liberties, a government
that believe they.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Know what's best for us more than we do. So
we shouldn't have the right to.

Speaker 5 (10:28):
Make our own choices for ourselves, and a government that
is filled with war bongers who make our country less
safe versus. A vote for Donald Trump is a vote
for freedom, It is a vote for peace, and it
is a vote for a leader who is unafraid of
wrestling back control from the deep state in the military
industrial complex and putting it back, putting the power back

(10:51):
into the hands of the people, respecting our right to life, liberty,
and if presuated, happiness.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Lieutenant Colonel and former presidential candidate Telsea Gabbert in in
Nashville for two book signings today. Do you know quickly
where they're at, because I don't have that in front
of me.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
One is that a private residence and the other is
at the Brentwood Country Club tomorrow morning.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Tomorrow morning, Brentwood Country Club signing of her book For
the Love of Country Lead the Democrat Party behind Lieutenant
Colonel Telsey Gabbard. So great to meet you by phone,
and I know there's a future we'll hear your voice,
and we must hear your voice in the future. Thanks
for sharing it today.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
You got it.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
This is your Morning show with Michael Deltno.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
So many ways to have a conversation with us. Toll free.
You can call one eight hundred sixty eight eight ninety
five twenty two, eight hundred and six, eight eight nine,
five to two to two. You can always use the
talkback button on your iHeart app. There's a little microphone.
Press it, leave a message, We get it instantly, We
can share it with the class. And then there's good
old fashioned email at michaeld at iHeartMedia dot com. Our first, Kathy,

(11:54):
writes Michael. There was a guest on Laura Ingram Show
from the FEC that this will action by Kamala Harris
could be illegal because of the one hundred million dollars
of cash being transferred to her. That was Sean Cooksey,
the FFC chairman. But they don't have any kind of
legal oversight abilities, so the most that can happen is

(12:16):
finds after the case they can be fined tremendously for this.
But what he indicated was they never notified the FEC,
They didn't ask for permission from the FEC. They just
transferred the money from Biden Harris to president to Harris
for president. What he suggested was it will take individuals

(12:40):
to file lawsuits other candidates, withstanding those who actually gave
money that could stop it prior to being spent. Short
of that just finds afterwards, hopefully answers your question. Sean
Cooksey is the FFC chairman. Michael, I've been hearing you

(13:01):
for days, say, Dad, are you proud of me? Are
you proud of me? Well, it hasn't been for days,
but I did mention it. When Nostru del Jarno wakes
up after a trance, sometimes he will blurt that out.
She goes and I've heard others say that, but I don't.
I don't get it. Well, that goes back to Gary
Cooper's movie The Jimmy Pearsall Story, and Jimmy Pearsall was
a Major League Baseball for the Boston Red Sox. His

(13:21):
father pushed him and pushed him as overbearing fathers could
do through Little League, and he could never measure up
to what his father's expectations were in the pros, in
the miners. Finally, Jimmy Pearsaw loses it, climbs the backstop
and he's screaming that from the top of the backstop,
are you proud of me yet?

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Dad?

Speaker 1 (13:39):
But it's it's just an indication of, you know, a
child's need for a father's affirmation. There there was. Well,
this one's just flattering. I'm almost uncomfortable reading it. You, sir,
are a badly knee breath of fresh air. Been listening

(14:02):
to you since you came on the air in Youngstown, Ohio,
and I'm amazed that your talent has been hidden for
your radio career. As partially my fault, I lack any
ego desires for success. I just pretty much like to
go to work, go home and have a nice day.
And I've lived in great cities and didn't feel a
need to be anything more than that. Please keep up

(14:25):
the good work by Zon. Look forward to every morning
listening to you and your insights and ability to navigate
through the ovine scattology never ceases to amaze me. Although
remember one thing, there are only two kinds of people
in this world, Italians and those that wish there were love.
Hearing from my Irish audience out there that meant the

(14:48):
world to me, this is an interesting one and my
humble opinion, this was yesterday. This morning's broadcast was simply spectacular.
Signed Mike McCann.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
Email.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
He listens every day of course, it's great. It's got
you every fifteen minutes. And finally, Brian writes, nobody could
have written a screenplay reflecting what we have seen in
the past months. Do you remember what a long time
ago when the story was Joe Biden versus Donald Trump,
the convicted felon. Yeah, the narratives that you know, we

(15:22):
get seas of narratives and they're changing daily. You know,
we talked about this earlier, seems like just yesterday, right,
whether it was the White House Press secretary, whether it
was Kamala Harris, all telling us Joe Biden is all there.
Joe Biden is as vibrant as ever, as in control
as ever. And then we saw the debate. And now

(15:44):
the narrative is, because I can read you an actual
story from a year ago, the problem is at the
top of the ticket. The problem is the bottom of
the ticket. Biden has got the dump. Kamala Harris writes Newsweek. Now,
but it's all you know, happy days are here again. Suddenly,

(16:04):
Kamala is the greatest. We've got a great pull from CNN.
They're trying to spin you that all of a sudden
they got a huge lead. They don't have anything. Look,
don't buy narratives. There might be a little bit of
an emotional bump, but it won't last. Our border crisis
is it because Joe's cognitively impaired. They have a failed

(16:25):
world view, failed policy view, and their narrative has died
of reality and consequence. And changing the face isn't going
to change that. The border will get her big time.
And then yesterday, how do we put into perspective. You've
got protesters, you got Nancy Pelosi and half of Congress

(16:45):
refusing to be in a room with bb Netanyahoo. They
can't decide between terrorists and an ally. Meanwhile, Joe Biden's
speech basically doesn't acknowledge Republicans.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
Right to exist.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
We live in very, very troubling times. Hi, It's Michael
Morning Show. Can be heard on great radio stations across
the country like News Talk ninety two point one and
six hundred WREC and Memphis, Tennessee, or thirteen hundred The
Patriot in Tulson, our Talk six to fifty KSTE in Sacramento, California.
We invite you to listen live while you're getting ready
in the morning, and to take us along for the

(17:17):
drive to work. But as we always say, better late
than never. Thanks for joining us for the podcast. This
is your morning show. I'm Michael del Jornifer, just waking up.
President Biden addressed the nation for the first time since
his decision to drop out of the twenty twenty four race.
The DNC expects Vice President Harris to be nominating a
VP running mate by August the seventh. That's T minus

(17:39):
two weeks to vet and get that list down to one.
And former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke out against bb
netyeah who's speech before a joint session of Congress that
she and half of Democrats in the House and Senate
refused to attend as protesters were busted in on the street, which,
by the way, bb netnyea, who do we have no okay?
Bbntya who had a message for those protesters, and it

(18:01):
sounded like this, For all we.

Speaker 6 (18:03):
Know, Iran is funding the anti usual protests that are
going on right now outside this building. Not that many,
but they're there and throughout the city. Well, I have
a message for these protesters. When the tyrants of Tehran
who hang games from cranes and wheder women for not

(18:23):
covering their hair are praising, promoting and funding you. You
have officially become Iran's useful idiots.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
And of course half of those protesters was the former
speaker and half the Democrats in the House in the Senate.
And Chaer is going to be giving her fans an
inside look at her life. I think we've seen everything,
haven't we. It's a two part memoir. I was channeling
Johnny Carson Earli and I thought to myself, not available
on Amazon. You can only get it in truck stop

(18:54):
vending machines. Yes, suffer not my favorite guest of every day.
John Decker White House Course bonded an attorney. John, I
guess we you know we had kicked around. I just
want to refresh everybody we said okay. Sometimes, like Nixon
when he was saying goodbye after he had to leave office.
When a politician is done, that's when they're naturally themselves
and give their best performance. And wouldn't that be funny

(19:15):
if Joe comes out, knocks us Dad and his farewell,
or how does he address Kamala or does he get
specific about why he dropped out of the race when
we knew he didn't want to. So expectations were kind
of low. Everybody was feeling full of grace and mercy,
and it was just kind of same old, same old,
was my take on it. Yours, I think.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
That's about right.

Speaker 7 (19:37):
You know, I didn't see a different Joe Biden that
I've seen over the course of the past year. Same
Joe Biden, you know, same kind of delivery that we've
seen over the course of the past year. You know,
as far as the substance of the speech itself, I
can only imagine, Michael how difficult that speech was for
him to deliver. Think about where we were exactly one

(19:59):
month ago, eat up to that first presidentically, and here
we are a little over a month later, and he's
announcing that January the twentieth of twenty twenty five is
his final day in the White House. That's remarkable in
terms of what's happened just over the last month.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
I don't think that Joe Biden believes he's incapable of
being president the next hundred days. I don't think he
believes he's incapable of being president four more years. And
I sure sect don't believe after watching that speech that
he believes and agrees that Kamala Harris is necessary in
order to have a shot to win. That's what made
it unbelievable. Then we just kind of got into accomplishments

(20:35):
that were somewhat you know, kind of gratuitously you know,
laid out, and then at the end, I don't know,
that was like a state of the Union where I guess,
he's got one hundred days left. Now he's going to
solve cancer. Now he's going to endorse. Now he's going
to fix it.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Come on me.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
If he had that magic wand he should have waved
a long time ago. But it was just odd. I mean,
I didn't have very high expectations, and he still didn't
meet him, and he still didn't look really physically and better.

Speaker 7 (21:01):
Well, look, you know those are subjective things that you're saying.
You know, different people may see it differently. As I said,
I just simply didn't see a different President Biden that
I've seen already. But what he was saying was again remarkable.
You know, it's historic. You don't see this that often.

(21:22):
He described it as putting his party, putting his country
above his personal ambition, how much he revers the oval office,
revers being president, and all of that is true, and
to give it all up. I think it's got to
be a really painful thing for President Biden. And you know,
it's the pain that he's feeling, the pain that his

(21:44):
wife is feeling, the first Lady is only something that
I could imagine. It's a difficult time for him. But
now you got to pivot.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Now.

Speaker 7 (21:54):
You know, if you want your legacy to be a
lasting legacy, you got to work hard in whatever way possible.
It's actually physically out there campaigning or going out there
raising money for your vice president, who is now the
standard bearer for the Democratic Party.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
One of the big John Decker is a Supreme Court
bar attorney. He's also a White House correspondent for decades
and one of my favorite people to kick things around with.
All Right, So if you were looking, because that's one
of the things that's out there, whether he likes it
or not, whether Kamala likes it or not, whether we
like it or not, there's a lot of people and
it's certainly a narrative coming from the Republicans as well. Look,

(22:31):
if you're not well enough to run for president, you're
not well enough to be president. He didn't look any better,
The energy wasn't any better. I mean, he didn't look
cognitively as impairedives he did in the debate, but he's
reading off a teleprompter. He didn't really do anything to
address that or reassure us of that at all. Didn't
even touch on it, quite frankly. And then there was
the same themes where the United States of America, there's

(22:54):
nothing we can't do, there's nothing outside of our capability,
and then three or four constant reference to democracy is
at stake, that same theme that obviously Democrats simply do
not see Republicans' right to exist. If you don't vote
for them, you're a threat to democracy. So yeah, it
was very much typical Joe Biden. I don't think it

(23:15):
was anything that would have answered any questions or created
any momentum for Kamala by any stretch, but maybe that's no.

Speaker 7 (23:22):
Look, it wasn't a full campaign speech, you know, and
you have to realize that it was a speech in
which he touched on his successor and passing the torch,
but he also wanted to tell the accomplishments that he's
had over the course of the past three and a
half plus years, talk about what he will do in

(23:42):
his remaining six months in office. And I think you
know you read between the lines he was just saying,
and it was also said by the White House Press
Secretary as well yesterday, this is not a decision that
is because of his health. So for all of those
Republicans saying, if you know you don't have the wherewithal
to be to run again, then you should step aside

(24:03):
as president, Look, that is not I've seen Paul's Michael.
It's not resonating with the public. It may resonate with Republicans,
but it's not resonating with the overall public.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
The idea that he should leave.

Speaker 7 (24:16):
Right now, And to me, it's just a losing argument.
It's like beating a dead horse. You got to move
on you now. If you're a Republican, now you got
to realize you got to pivot. Okay, we're done with Biden.
Now we got to focus on Kamala Harris. And we're seeing, uh,
the former president do that yesterday at that campaign rally,

(24:38):
like Joe never existed. I got a new opponent. I
got to take on the new opponent, you know, And
I think that that's the right approach if you want
to win the White House don't focus on Joe Biden.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
He's yesterday's news.

Speaker 7 (24:49):
Focus on the new opponent right in the f last.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Question is this you mentioned it. It wasn't a campaign speech,
and I don't anticipate any campaign speeches either, Do you.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Do?

Speaker 7 (25:00):
I do I anticipate.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
Do you think going out there.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
On the camp Yeah, I think they're gonna they're gonna
distance themselves from him, don't you know?

Speaker 4 (25:08):
I do.

Speaker 7 (25:09):
I think that makes a lot of sense. You know,
if you want to be your own person, if you
want to, you know, run your own campaign, if you
want to show that you're different than you know, Joe Biden,
then yeah, I think that's right.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Now.

Speaker 7 (25:21):
Will they be together at some point, sure, but it's
not going to be often. I think the more important
person to have as an advocate as a surrogate is
former President Barack Obama, who, by the way, last I checked,
still hasn't endorsed fam Mala Harris, which is pretty remarkable.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Yeah, NBC is floating out reports that it's coming soon.
I'm not so certain. There's been other uh stories about
it was a lead through the Biden f the Biden family,
which tells me maybe even Joe isn't so excited about
the way the pages have turned in this closing chapter
for his political career. Uh that the reason it's not

(25:57):
coming is Obama's convinctigating the Kamala can't win, which might
be something Joe was convinced of a week ago and
I presume it's still convinced of today. I found the
most interesting thing about that the league came from the
Biden family source, not the Obama family source. That Obama
hasn't endorsed Kamala Harris because he doesn't think she can win.
It's interesting.

Speaker 7 (26:17):
I don't know. I can't get inside either one of
those individuals that you mentioned, Ted, I don't know. It's
just a head scratcher, because every other Democrat who's prominent,
former President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, the leadership
in the House and the Senate for Democrats, all of
them have rallied around, have coalesced around Kamala Harris and

(26:40):
Michelle and Barack Obama have not just yet. I don't
know what the delay is, but it's just to me
one of those questions that I can't figure out.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
At this point, I.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Would say that's the end of the chapter of Joe Biden,
and boy, the pages have turned fast in the last weeks,
and I can't imagine what the next chapter is going
to be. Great, all right, White House correspondent John Decker,
thanks for joining us. We look forward to always talking
to me again tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
All right.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
There were at least by my memory, three or four
references to democracies at stake. I thought we were past
that kind of rhetoric. But Biden has officially dropped out
and spoke to us from the Oval Office. His road
to the White House is over, Brian shookesmore Road to
the White House twenty twenty four. President Biden addressed the

(27:34):
nation Wednesday for the first time since his decision to
drop out of the twenty twenty four election.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
It's not about me.

Speaker 8 (27:41):
It's about you, your families, your futures.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
It's about we, the people.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
We can never forget that, and I never had.

Speaker 9 (27:52):
While speaking from the Oval Office, the President said the
best way forward for the country is to pass the
torch to a new generation. He said now is the
time for fresh and younger voices, as he endorsed Vice
President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee for president.
Biden announced on Sunday he would exit the race in Washington.

(28:14):
I'm Brian Shook.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Well, everything seems different, weird now now. Apparently the networks
just approach candidates like it's a wrestling match and try
to negotiate the next cage match. Fox proposing a debate
between Harris and Trump. Mark Mayfield has details.

Speaker 10 (28:30):
The network has suggested the debate be held September the
seventeenth in Pennsylvania. Trump had been scheduled to fix President
Biden in a second debate on September the tenth, hosted
by ABC News before Biden decided to drop out of
the race. Mox News Media has sent letters to both
campaigns about the proposed debate that would be moderated by
Brett Baer and Martha McCallum. Trump has said he's willing
to debate Harris multiple times now that she is the

(28:52):
presumptive Democratic nominee for president.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
By'm Mark Mayfield, Here's some good news. One of the
two people injured in the attempted assassination of former President
Donald try Trump has been released from the hospital. Tammy
Trujillo has the story.

Speaker 11 (29:03):
On Wednesday, Allegheny Health announced the day the Dutch had
recovered from his injuries and was discharged. Dutch was shot
and wounded in the assassination attempt during Trump's campaign rally
in Pennsylvania earlier this month. James Coppenhaber was also shot
and injured, but he remains hospitalized in serious condition. Former
fire chief Cory Comparatory lost his life in the shooting.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
I'm Tammy Trichillo. The FAA is increasing oversight for Southwest
Airlines after a series of close calls. Lisa Taylor has more.

Speaker 12 (29:31):
In a statement, it said it's looking into the airline
to ensure it is complying with federal safety regulations. This
comes as there's ongoing worries about the state of US
aviation that first began in January when a door panel
on a Boeing aircraft blew out mid air. The FAA
didn't specify which incident sparked its latest audit announcement for Southwest.
I'm Lisa Taylor.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Oh you got to reach the voter somehow. Presidential campaign
of rfk Junior has sent out one hundred thousand fortune
cookies to rest her across New Hampshire. The cookies featured
ads for Kennedy Junior and his representatives say that he's
trying to reach out to voters in a unique way,
much like his father did when he ran for president.

(30:11):
Each of the Fortune cookies have a QR code inside
than that leads to the Kennedy website. The campaign says
it's considering sending out cookies to other parts of the country.
I recommended Krispy Kreme glazed jelly filled donuts if you
really want to reach me. And that's your top five
stories of the day. A visit with Rory O'Neil on,
the director of the FBI. He's updated members of Congress

(30:34):
on the assassination attempt. Interesting. I wonder if Rory saw
it the same way I saw members of Congress becoming
far more partisan than they were with the director of
Secret Service.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
Hey, I'm Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton, and.

Speaker 7 (30:50):
My morning show is your morning show with Michael del.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Jornal Mind addressed the nation from the Oval office. Half
of the Democrat members of Congress, along with protesters in
the street, boycotted Prime Minister bb Netanyahu's speech and share
we'll give fans an inside look at her life. Not
sure I want any peaks anymore. In a two part memoir.
Part one will be coming out very soon. More on

(31:14):
those top stories in a moment. One of the big
stories is okay, so the Secret Service directors out. That
still doesn't explain everything that happened that day, and it
still needs to be investigated. The problem is, does anybody
trust the FBI investigating it? Rory O'Neil with the story
of the FBI and their update to members of Congress yesterday.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
Yeah, good morning, Michael.

Speaker 8 (31:38):
So Christopher Ray was testifying before Congress to offer up.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
A few more details.

Speaker 8 (31:43):
Keep in mind, the FBI is investigating essentially the gunman
side of this thing, whereas the Secret Service is conducting
its own internal review and there are other.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
External reviews as well.

Speaker 8 (31:53):
So the testimony we got from Ray wasn't about the
activities of.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
The Secret Service as much. It was more about what
we know about the gun than so far, and it's
not much.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
No, what did we know going into the day. We
knew the gun was his father's. We knew he went
to work and then left and skipped out. We know
he visited the site twice and surveyed it with a drone.
We know he got stopped for having a range finder.
Then they lost track of him. Everybody else could see
him and film him on their TV walking around. He's

(32:25):
seen in a lot of footage. Then eventually getting on
the roof. Did he use the ladder? How did he
climb up?

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Then?

Speaker 1 (32:30):
When he was on the roof? It took so long
to communicate Law enforcement said, with at least ten minutes
to spare, they had notified Secret Service. Can you think
of one thing he said yesterday that we didn't already
know well?

Speaker 8 (32:43):
He talked about the search history, which we didn't know
about where he had searched for.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
How close was Leo Harvey.

Speaker 8 (32:49):
Osweald to JFK at the time of that assassination. We
know a bit more detail about the gun itself and
had a collapsible stock, which is one reason he may
be able to maneuver around with it more easily.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
There was no ladder involved.

Speaker 8 (33:02):
We probably climbed up some mechanical items and shooted up.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
A pipe to get to the rooftop.

Speaker 8 (33:08):
There were a few things, but again all the answers
were not even close to that yet.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Isn't the biggest problem that there's a portion of America
that doesn't trust the FBI to investigate this anymore than
Secret Service to investigate itself.

Speaker 8 (33:25):
Well, I mean, if that's the case, then it doesn't matter,
does it.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Did you sense that I thought all members of Congress
were American when it came to the Secret Service director
Kimberly Cheele, Did you think things kind of felt a
little more partisan? Back to normal? And yesterday, yeah, a.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Little bit, we saw some of that.

Speaker 8 (33:49):
You know, Adam Schiff and Matt Gates were playing the
game a little bit.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
But yeah, for the most.

Speaker 8 (33:54):
Part, everyone stuck to the script in terms of focusing
on exactly what happened that day. There were some in
questions about trying to get an explanation of things, but
as the director said, and even as we heard from
the Secret Service director, it's been less than two weeks
and you had a scene with thousands of people.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
They haven't even recovered all of the bullets that were fired.

Speaker 8 (34:13):
That day, so it's difficult to figure out exactly you know,
which bullet, what time hit who, when you know all
that stuff they're still trying to piece together and that's
going to take some time.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
And as for Donald Trump, he'll be doing his rallies
indoors moving forward, or you'll be back next hour to
talk a little bit about the president's Oval office speech
as well. We're all in this together. This is your
