Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, I'm Michael. I'd love to have you listen to
your morning show live. Every day We're heard on great
stations like News Talk five point fifty k FYI and
Phoenix News Radio eleven ninety k EX in Portland and
ten ninety The Patriot in Seattle. Make us a part
of your morning routine. We'd love to have you listen live.
But in the meantime, enjoy the podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Well two three starting your morning off right, A new
way of talk, a new way of understand because we're
in this stage.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
This is your morning show with Michael Bell Johnny and
we simply cannot have your morning show without your voice.
May it be heard using the iHeartRadio app microphone talkback
button got one earlier this morning. You can always, of
course call toll free one one hundred and six eight
eight ninety five twenty two, or just email Michael d

(00:49):
at iHeartMedia dot com, where Kathy writes, I can't help
but wonder if LA's car free Olympics we'll go over
about as well as France's air conditioning free Olympics. Did
somebody take these games away from these leftist nuts? And
if you're just waking up, probably one of the three
big stories that the Olympics are over and now they're

(01:10):
heading to Los Angeles. Of course we've got a Winter
Game in two years. Citing escalating regional tensions, Pentagon says
the US is strengthening forces in the Middle East, sending
carrier units and fleets and nuclear subs and missile defense subs.
Hama says it will not attend the delegation talks with Israel.
The negotiations were scheduled for this Thursday. And at home, well,

(01:32):
the big announcement, Joe comes clean with CBS and how
he got forced out and he plans to campaign with
Mamala Kamala in Maryland and in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, for the
rest of US, I was on social media this weekend
and there was a guy claiming to be a libertarian
and it kind of went a little viral. Now this

(01:54):
guy seriously thinking, I want to check out Kammal. He's
gonna give Kamala and Walls a really good look. And
he hadn't made his decision up. This guy's genuinely trying
to find out where Kamala Harris stands on the issues,
and he's struggling. So I thought to myself, well, is
this like some kind of on there on media game?

(02:17):
So I went to Kamala Harris dot com and on
the very top and a third of the screen is
how you can give money twenty five dollars, forty seven dollars,
one hundred dollars, two hundred and fifty one thousand or more.
So it's certainly a place to go to give money. Uh.
Then you scroll down and you just get pictures of

(02:39):
Mamala Kamala with paragraphs of narrative in between. It's all
bi narrative, not a single mention of a critical issue,
a policy, or a proposed agendaized solution. So I thought, well,
maybe that's just the landing page. So I hit the menu.
There's meat Kamala. What I just read? There's meat tim

(02:59):
similar to her pictures, narrative, bio, take action, upcoming events, stores,
if you want to buy shirts and signs and then
donate again, not a single reference to issues or policy proposals.
And if you go in the news, all you hear
is yeah, like Trump, now she's for not taxing tips.

(03:19):
They are hiding hiding Kamala Harris in plain sight, the
way they hit Joe in a basement The question is
will it work? What does she stand for? Will it
ever come out? Chris Walker is an analyst and a
consultant for the GOP, joins US Weekly to discuss these issues.
I don't have to tell you that they hit Joe

(03:40):
in a basement and it worked. Hiding commalin plain sight
not going to be as easy, though, is it. Well.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
I mean, we good morning, Michael. We don't have a
media of you know, holding their feature of the fire
on it, so we'll see. I mean we've seen on
you know, you mentioned social media, the only place you
can really find any like information. Shebeut. Tim Waltz's record
is on social media right now, and so you have
the media doing everything they can to, you know, hide
who Kamala and Tim wlt really are for the American public.

(04:11):
You know, flks like Jake Tapper, who make a point
to talk about veterans on nine to eleven, on Veterans
Day and all these other things, refuses to talk to
any veterans about Tim Wallas who served with him and
said that he was you know, not only stolen valor,
but you know, left his unit to go run for
Congress and was glad that he did leave in fact,
So I mean, we're seeing a lot of the stuff

(04:33):
play out online. It needs to kind of get into
the mainstream a little bit more, and it just hasn't yet.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
I guess I.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Would deem it. I would even more hiding in the basement.
I would even more four corners offense. You know Dean
Smith's famous stalling tactic in basketball. I mean, and Dean
Smith won a lot of games. So yes, it could work.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Well, the problem is, sooner or later, she's got to
do an interview, she claims by the end of the month.
Sooner or later, she's going to have to do a debate,
whether it's one or three. Sooner or later, they're going
to have their invention. And I can tell you there's
tens of thousands of Palestinian protesters ready to wreak havoc.
And you know, sooner or later, nineteen sixty eight in
the Middle East continues to have its say, whether they

(05:10):
like it or not. So that's some bumpy roads. For
One of the things I found that is probably the
most fascinating way of looking at this is for Tim Walls,
for example, he didn't carry a gun, he didn't leave
with the rank. He claims in his bio, and I've
even seen CNN doing the story on how he left

(05:34):
before being deployed. Wouldn't that have come up in their vet?
Or were they so enamored by his coining of the
phrase weird that they looked beyond that because I said
there would be a race to define him because he
was a great unknown. Is this it or is there
even worse coming? That's what ought to have Democrats probably concerned.

(05:55):
But if this is all there is, it's not a
big issue.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I would think the big issue in the sense of
the customer core of who he is. But you're right,
I mean, you know, we'll see, I mean, the media
doesn't seem to be interested in it, and we'll see
how that shakes out. But I think it's you know,
you're the libertarian guy who is trying to find information
on Kamala. I think the choice of Tim Walt is Kamala.
You know, defined she chose the most liberal, the most
left wing governor, one of the most must wing governors

(06:22):
there are many in the country, to be her running mate,
and you know she decided she was going to play
to the to her base in an election. So if
you are you know conservative, you're certainly campo for no
matter what David Frence says over the weekend, or if
you are, you know, a moderate, you have to look
and say, this is San Francisco and Minnesota values, which
are you know, trying to be reached upon the rest

(06:44):
of the country. That's that is not good for the country,
not good for for you know, our future standing.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
So well, the media gas lights, the media gaslights that's
all on Kamala Harris. But they're not going to be
able to gaslight this on Tim Walt. Walls is a
long time support of a pathway to citizenship for legal immigrants,
long supporter of sanctuary cities, not a big fan. He
supports securing the southern border through resuming construction of the

(07:12):
Trump era border wall. The Senate has frequently criticized the
Biden administration's handling of the crisis abortion of course, obviously
very pro abortion. Like Kamala Harris, it's amazing like Fox
did a story on everything he stands for versus vans.
But you can't do a similar story with Kamala because
there's no way to know where she stands on anything
that's right.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
That's well, I mean, yeah, I mean she took Trump's
tax on no tax on tips policy. It basically tried
to pass her off for his own without even an
apptip to the idea. Although, let's be honest, I mean,
this is a Ron Paul at she has first, so
Trump's probably Tapron Paul a little bit on that run
as well. However, you know, obviously Trump's nominee and he
can do what he wants. But you know, ultimately, yes,

(07:55):
she has flipflopped, but she has not. It's her campaign staff,
you know. Let's let's again, these are unnamed campaign staffers
saying Kamala doesn't believe that anymore. That is what we're
basing a lot of her policy switches on. She hasn't
had to answer questions about it. She hasn't gone out
and set anything specific about it in her rallies, which
are you know, impressively attended. Let's be fair about it.

(08:16):
You know, she's saying a lot of gobly goog without
a lot of structure behind them. I think Jadie Vance's
spot on you yesterday when he said that she's running
a movie. She's not running a campaign. She is trying
to be what she can be in front of whatever audience.
She is to try to, you know, kind of again,
wait out these these eighty days. You're only talking about
eighty days until the election. So yes, that is her strategy.

(08:37):
And I think and I'm not sure about the media,
you know, trying to hold her feet to the bar.
They haven't so far, and I'm not sure they're willing
to because they want to be Donald Trump more than
they want to, you know, put Kamala Harris in that position.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
If America ever wanted to see what things would be
like if we hadn't had a death in journalism, it'd
be the two weeks prior to running off Joe Biden.
But they're right back to carrying the narrative water for
the Democrat Party and being a mouthpiece for the Democrat Party.
We're visiting with Chris Walker, who is a GOP analyst
and consultant. Obviously, the media is going to play the

(09:10):
same game they played in twenty twenty. They're going to
control the narratives. Their problem is they don't control X,
they don't control social media like they used to. So
we're going to find out in the long run, is
the media does it have the ability to control narrative?
Let alone influence people. I don't think it does. We

(09:31):
were talking on Friday with another panelist, and you know,
Joe Rogan will have more of us say then ABCNBCCBS, FOX, CNN,
and MSNBC combined. I mean, it's a new world we're
living in, and so I think they don't have the
narrative control or influence they used to. The bigger question

(09:52):
is going to be the unknowns. What's going to happen
at that convention in Chicago, What's going to happen in
the Middle East. There's a lot lot of things that
are out of their control. Her performance in a debate
sooner or later, and I'm sure it'll be sixty minutes
and be softballs, but she's going to have to do
an interview, and when Hollywood's not there to write the script, presumably,

(10:13):
how will she handle it? Unknown is going to decide.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
This, right, I think you're right about a lot of
the unknowns. But I would not underestimate the power of
the media. Let's let's not forget. I mean, three weeks ago,
four weeks ago, Kamala Harris was the first forced vice
president and there was talk of her of Biden dropping
her from the ticket. Now she's more popular that she's
the incarnation of Obama and Oprah put into one. That's

(10:36):
the power of the media. They still have tremendous influence, only.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Within the left now, but only within the left matrix,
not with independence.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
You know, her polls have gone up. You know, she's
leading in some swing states, but she's not.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Any higher than when Joe Biden. She's right where Joe
Biden was before it was revealed that Joe Biden was senile.
So all she did, all they've managed to do is
speak to the left in the matrix that does still
follow the Axios and Washington Post and New York Times
and CNN and so on. But for independent voters and

(11:10):
for and by the way, it's still within the margin
of aeron those three look Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania looked just
like they did in twenty twenty and just like they
did in twenty sixteen. And it's a razor's edge, and
anybody that tells you they know which way it's leaning.
But at the height of her sugar high, she's only
where Joe Biden was prior to it being revealed that
this guy's a mess. So I don't know I don't

(11:33):
think that media. I would disagree with you there. I
think the unknown is huge. I mean, if this war
continues escally, they got an Israel problem. They're gonna have
an Israel problem with the Palestinian protesters at their convention.
She is capable of having as bad of a debate
as Joe Biden, not with sinility, but with word salads, misspeaks,
and then turning into nasty prosecutor Kamala, which she has

(11:56):
known to do and which ran her off first in
the twenty twenty Prime. So you can't hide. I don't
think he can hide forever. But I don't think it's
stupid that they're hiding right now. I don't.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
I well, she is, but let's not forget. She actually
had a really good debate against you know, Mike Pence
at twenty six in twenty twenty. So I'm sorry twenty sixteen,
so you know we don't have to I'm.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Sorry twenty twenty sixteen.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Twenty yeah, yes, and she you know, she held her
own on that. Again. I hope she does have a
really bad debate, listen. I don't want to mince words
on that, but I don't think we can hope for
a bad debate or anything else. I think we need
to look at at what she's doing and you know,
treat her as if she is a couple of points up.
I think that's the biggest need of the Trump team

(12:44):
right now, is to really step up and say, look like,
we need to treat her. They have not figured out
how to run against her. I think he would benefit
greatly from you know, it's easy to you. You've got
to find Kamala and Tim because they're new to the process.
But I think they really need to be doing is
focusing on what he wants to do in a second term,
you know, lowering gas prices, lowering the cost of groceries,

(13:06):
fixing the border, you know, fixing these foreign conflicts, and
you know, keeping Americans safe so so our sons and
jars don't have to go to the Middle East. In
this process, I mean, those are the failures of Biden Harris.
Those are the fayres that Harris has to be held
accountable to. And I think Trump offering a positive, focused
vision for the future is a great way to start,
you know, really turning the tide on what has been

(13:27):
a really, really rocky month for him and a really
solid month for Kamal.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Chris Walker is a GOP consultant and analyst. He joins
US weekly and then sooner when conditions warrant. I would
say keep your beeper on. Conditions may warrant, but I
appreciate the visit. Chris. Best to you and having we'll
talk about it. This is your morning show with Michael
Del Tuono. Your top five stories of the day. Well,

(13:54):
there's a lot of talking about these new bowls and
how it shows Mama the Comma with a slight edge,
although it's within the margin of error, but the sugar
high is giving her the lead in a couple of
swing states. Here's the polls that really will matter in
the long run, and they're not leaning commalist way at all.
Mark Mayfield reports.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
Trump leads Harris forty eight to forty six percent overall
in the CNBC All America Economic Survey, but on the economy,
Trump leads Harris by two to one. Seventy nine percent
of Republicans believe their economic fortunes will improve with Trump
and the White House. Forty eight percent of Democrats believe
they'll be better off if Harris wins, compared with forty
two percent who say it makes no difference. Inflation and

(14:34):
the cost of living continue to be the top issue
of concern for voters. Trump has a twelve point lead
on the second most important issue, the country's economy overall.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
I'm Mark Mayfield. Yeah, this is a narrative, sugar high,
they'll lose hope.

Speaker 5 (14:48):
Yet.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
President Biden is explaining why he decided to end his
re election campaign. Rob Marty A reports in.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
An interview with CBS Sunday morning, Biden implied he was
indeed thrown under the b us by his own party
and know those pesky down ballot races.

Speaker 7 (15:03):
But what happened was a number of my Democratic colleagues
and the House of Senate thought that I was going
to hurt him in the racist and I was concerned
if I stayed in the race.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
That would be the topic.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
Biden announced last month he would end his campaign amid
pressure from other Democrats following his poor debate performance against
Trump and amid concerns over his mental acuity. I'm Rob Martier. Well,
the Paris Games are behind us.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
That means the clock is ticking of the twenty twenty
eight Summer Games, to be hosted in Los Angeles. Tammy
Trajuilo has the tails.

Speaker 8 (15:37):
Mayor Karen Bass spent time at the Paris Games, and
during the closing ceremony Sunday, she said, one of LA's
goals will be to have a Carlss Olympics.

Speaker 9 (15:45):
It is our goal in Los Angeles to have a
car free games. And you know what that means, because
we're a very car dependent city. But it means that
if you were going to attend any of the sports venue,
you're going to have to take public transportation.

Speaker 8 (16:00):
Says Los Angeles will be bringing in thousands of buses
from neighboring cities and states to help make that happen.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
I'm Tanny Trho. It's not as easy to find an
electric bus anymore. Look to the skies. It's coming. Sky Sky.

Speaker 10 (16:17):
So Percets are one of the most anticipated skywatching events
of the year, as it typically delivers a high rate
of shooting stars, potentially as many as one hundred per
hour in darker locations. Experts predict good weather conditions by
and large for this year's show. Because the moon will
be setting at around eleven thirty pm Eastern Time, experts

(16:38):
say get away from light sources around you and you
shouldn't need a telescope or binoculars to see the show.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I'm Scott Carr. I'll be enjoying a different show. I'll
be sound asleep, but that's coming up tonight. Hi, I'm Michael.
We'd love to have you listen every weekday morning to
your morning show live. Even take us along with you
on the drive to work. We could be heard on
great radio stations like one oh four ninth The Patriot
at Saint Louis, or Talk Radio ninety eight point three
and fifteen ten WLAC in Nashville and News Talk five
fifty k app YI Phoenix, Arizona. Love to be a

(17:07):
part of your morning routine, but we're always grateful you're here. Now,
enjoy the podcast. Thanks for bringing us along with you
on the drive to work. This is your morning show.
I am Michael del Journal on the aeron streaming on
your iHeartRadio app. Welcome to Monday, the twelfth of August
twenty twenty four. Aaron Rayal is back. The Donald Trump
presidential campaign has been hacked.

Speaker 11 (17:29):
How that has? And then that's when you know that
the presidential season election cycle is really underway. So this happened?
This is like part of the process. It seems like
they get hacked every election in the modern world. It
happened in two thousand and eight. We saw Obama and
McCain's campaigns hacked. We saw it in twenty sixteen the
Coline went after Democratic emails leaked in the WikiLeaks, and

(17:52):
even Trump publicly urged Russia to find Clinton's emails. And
now we have Trump his campaign being hacked like Lee
this time right Iron's Islamic Revolutionary Guard. So Microsoft said
that that the Revolutionary Guard actually compromised an email account
that was belonged to a former advisor of Trump. They

(18:13):
sent on an email to senior officials within the campaign.
They clicked on malicious spyware Blamo. They have it so
real quick Michael Politico. Over the weekend, they said that
they received emails from an anonymous account from inside Trump's operation.
It came from an AOL email address that should have
been a first red flag. Someone went by Robert and

(18:34):
they declined to explain why they got it. Long story short,
it was mostly a dossier with research on jd Vance.
Those are very common for presidential hopefuls to have these
big dossier's on potential VP picks. Or vppix but nothing
too damny. But yes, they said that they received this already.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Well, that was gonna be my first question. Two hundred
and something pages of vetting on JD vance. You wonder,
you know, the last time we did this, it became
depending on which side you were on, Hilary Russia, Russia,
Russia hoax or you know. So, I guess how much
does it depend on what was in this document as

(19:13):
to how big of a story this is exactly?

Speaker 11 (19:15):
I think that that is probably a lot of it.
And also a spokesperson for the Trump campaign came out,
so that like any media or news outlet that's reprinting
documents or internal comms, it's doing the bidding of America's enemies.
That's not incorrect, that's not like that. That is true
to some extent. And I do think that what it

(19:35):
comes down to is that this is.

Speaker 6 (19:37):
The modern world we're living in.

Speaker 11 (19:38):
Ever since eight they've been hacked, and we all know
anything online. I don't care if you send it on signal,
it's hackable, it's findable. It just is that's the reality,
and we keep our entire lives online. So I think
this is just the beginning of many more to come
and listen. A lot of these campaigns have incredibly powerful
anti spyword tech and all the other stuff. It's like

(20:00):
if the biggest banks, the biggest, strongest institutions on the
planet can be hacked, yeah, presidential campaigns can as well. Well.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Donald Trump's been hacked. I don't think anybody at Tim
Wallas's camp or Kamala Harris's camp ought to feel much safer.
The Revolutionary Guard of Iran hate Samara. I mean, first,
they want to destroy Israel, and America is an ally
of Israel. I would think they would probably trust Donald
Trump's support of Israel, maybe a little bit more than

(20:27):
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris's. But my guess is they
plan to re when we hear bad players plan to
disrupt this election more and more. I would assume on
both sides.

Speaker 11 (20:36):
Oh for sure. And if you look at eight when
both Obama and McCain their campaigns, they stole internal documents
that came from China. So our adversaries are going to
do this, we do it to our adversaries. The meddaling
in foreign elections. It's kind of like you know, spycraft
one on one. This has always happened, particularly from superpowers
that want to wield influence globally.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
So yeah, but the differences were we're busy doing it
to ourselves. Usually we live in a matrix where the
right hates the left, the late left hastes the right.
The media is predominantly sided, and so they play along.
That's been the big difference. I would say this is
one of those where the reaction of those you know,

(21:18):
this ought to be one of those issues that whether
you're left or right or center, you should stand against. Yes,
but I doubt it's going to play that way.

Speaker 11 (21:27):
And you're like, having foreign adversaries medal in our elections
is bad. Categorically, it doesn't matter your political position like that.
That's not You want to have the sovereign state to
do its thing alone, free from interference. That is not
the world we live in today.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Closing moments with Aaron Reyale, who watch very very very
little Olympics other than equestrian, which.

Speaker 11 (21:50):
I think that's not true. I love at the gymnastics too.
I think that was cool.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Other than my two greatest naps equestrium. No, I look,
I'll do me and then you can do you. I
think Scotti Scheffler, you know, number one golfer in the world,
makes millions and millions playing for nothing and ends up
winning the gold medal. Same stoic face he plays with
throughout the metal ceremony, throughout the beginning of the national anthem,

(22:18):
and then we get to the last verse he's singing
along and then just instantly for everyone to see the
burst of emotions. That was a great moment for me.
After twelve years, Women's soccer reclaims gold. That was a
huge moment. Katie Ledecki. I mean, she had so many
great moments in the pool, but the four peat was huge.

(22:40):
Men's gymnastics finally getting a bronze with the Penn State
nerd with his glasses specializing in the pommel horse. I
fell in love with women's rugby. I've never seen it.
I think rugby is going to be like a new
favorite sport of mine. I think that women's win the
buzzer beater, hang on to win by one, to tie

(23:01):
China with forty gold. I'm going to go with the
very last moment, and the only thing I can't explain
is the whole snoop dog in Paris was certainly a
gorgeous city to have in the background throughout the two
and a half. Indeed, but those are kind of mine.
I can't narrow one. I mean, I loved some own biles.
I loved the women's basketball, men's basketball, the gymnastics on

(23:21):
the men and women's side. I don't know if I
had to pick one what I would pick.

Speaker 11 (23:25):
I agreed. I think the whole Olympics this year were
really joyful.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
And really great to watch.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
I loved it all.

Speaker 11 (23:30):
And yes, I like equestrian and the gymnastics because you
don't really see that like you can watch you can
watch golf if you want. And I agree the Scottis
shuffler thing was glorious and like felt it felt profound,
like it was moving and great and so. But the
ones that you don't normally get to see I enjoy
watching quite a bit. I also thought the break dancing
was hysterical. I just like, I was like, what what

(23:51):
are we doing here?

Speaker 1 (23:52):
That was my lowest That was my lowest Olympic moment
of my life. I was like, are you kidding me?
And the way they were introducing them and the way
they would like like dance off so like one would
be dancing the other standing there. That's Olympics.

Speaker 11 (24:05):
Goofy agree, like you're like what what what?

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Like?

Speaker 1 (24:08):
This is? Yes, it was wildly groopful when that was happening.
I would have jumped off the roof like Tom Cruise
just to get away from it. But that's the Olympics.
And now we pressed down to Los Angeles for the
first car free Olympics.

Speaker 11 (24:23):
Mmmm, that'd be interesting. What are your thoughts?

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Remember one Adam twelve one Adam twelve or car fifty four?
Where are you? Electric bus? Where are you? They're gonna
be bringing in electric buses from all over a mere
I don't let's just can't we play games without woke games?
I don't know. I hope it goes over better than
it was.

Speaker 11 (24:43):
Just like pedestrian, like, there's gonna be more walking, No,
it's okay, Well, yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
They're gonna be They're gonna be busing. Yeah, they're not
gonna anybody near it. So oh wow, that's the first
glimpse of the Olympics in Los Angeles. I you know,
you got to just watch those things, you know, for
the athletes and not take in all the other storylines,
or they will certainly discourage you from enjoying the Olympic Games.
All right, Aaron, great reportings you. We'll see again tomorrow.

(25:10):
We press on towards our top stories of the day.
If you're just joining us, just waking up, this one's serious.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
So.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Citing escalating regional tensions, the Pentagon says the United States
is strengthening forces in the Middle East. The Pentagon statement
issued on Sunday says Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is
reiterating Biden's administration's commitment to take every possible step to
defend Israel. This is part of the proxy war movement
for Iran. To see. Now, we did have Hesbela launch

(25:43):
about thirty rockets into Israel, no casualties reported, all seemingly blocked.
But we are waiting for what might be the Iranian response.
In what they may know is going to be the
Iranian response, the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and
the un USS Georgia Guided missile Submarines are headed to
the region, although this statement doesn't specify exactly when they'll arrive.

(26:07):
The Lincoln, which contains f thirty five sea fighters, was
originally scheduled to arrive by the end of the month
to replace the USS Theodore Roosevelt. We do know that
instead the Lincoln and the Georgia are going to be
joining the Theodore Roosevelt. Can't resist one more time. Coma
Kama Kama, kamma kama la coma la camellion. Mark Mayfield

(26:28):
has our road to the White House, report and.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Rode to the White House. Twenty twenty four. Donald Trump's
running mate is defending the former president's comments questioning Kamala
Harris's racial identity. In an interview with the CNN's State
of the Union, Ohio Senator J. D. Vance accues Harris
of being a comeleon.

Speaker 5 (26:43):
I believe that Kamala Harris is whatever she says she is,
But I believe importantly that President Trump is right that
she's a chameleon. She pretends to be one thing in
front of one audience, she pretends to be something different
in front of another audience.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Trump last month claimed Harris, who was by racial previously
claimed Indian heritage but then black. And President Biden explaining
why he decided to andy his re election campaign in
an interview with the CDs Sunday morning, Biden said polls
showed the race between him and Donald Trump's neck and neck.
He added he was concerned it would negatively impact other
Democrats running in the House and Senate in November.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
I'm Mark Mayfield. The WoT Games of Paris are behind
us and now it's out of the woke Games of
Los Angeles. Tammy Trihilo has details sayor.

Speaker 8 (27:21):
Karen Bass spent time at the Paris Games, and during
the closing ceremony Sunday, she said, one of LA's goals
will be to have a Carliss Olympics.

Speaker 9 (27:29):
It is our goal in Los Angeles to have a
car free games. And you know what that means, because
we're a very car dependent city. But it means that
if you are going to attend any of the sports venue,
you're going to have to take public transportation.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
She says.

Speaker 8 (27:43):
Los Angeles will be bringing in thousands of buses from
neighboring cities and states to help make that happen.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
I'm Tammy Trio. Yes, folks, that means no ubers either. Well,
this is impressive. Husband and wife Ryan Reynolds and Blake
Lively dominated the box office one and two this weekend. Reynolds,
Dead Rul and Wolverine took the top spot at the
box office. Meanwhile, Lively's It ends with US Blue past expectations,
bringing in fifty million dollars and allowing it to debut

(28:09):
in second place. The last time a husband and wife
duo this sounds like a casey case. The last time
a husband and wife duo took the two top spots
the box office was nineteen ninety Bruce Willis's Die Hard
Too and Demi Moore's Ghost So. In sports, none of
them counted, but in the NFL, Saints bete the Cardinals

(28:29):
sixteen to fourteen, Seahawks sixteen three over the Chages, the
Titans seventeen thirteen over the forty nine Ers Tampa. Your
Bucks won seventeen fourteen over the Bengals, Browns fell to
the Pack twenty three to ten, and the Jets twenty
to seventeen by three over the Commanders. These did count.
In baseball, the Raise one two to one over the
O's Dbacks won twelve five over the Phillies, Guardians won
five three over the Twins. Mariners. Last night, if You

(28:52):
Fell Asleep one Big twelve to one over the Mets.
The Nats Rangers both lost, and the Cardinals were off.
I'm Joe Big in Tampa, and my morning show is
Your Morning Show with Michael Deldorno. I'm Michael del Torono,
joined by your Morning Show correspondent to Rory Youneil. While
the Summer Olympics are in our rearview mirror, we're on

(29:14):
to a carless Los Angeles Olympics and a little bit
of scrutiny in our top stories. Former President Donald Trump
says true social there will be three debates, and he
gets specific. I will be in Grand Rapids to have
a debate that will be in Harrisburg, PA. And of
course we'll be in Philadelphia on September tenth. Of course,
only the September tenth, ABC one has Kamala Harris agreed to.

(29:36):
So either he's leaking the story and we are going
to have three, or he plans to pressure by just
saying we're going to have three. That may be one
few to get to the bottom of by tomorrow. Let's
start with the Olympics, shall we very successful for the
United States. We out medaled the world and we even
tie China and Gold thanks to them.

Speaker 12 (29:55):
We did forty gold medals, and as you said, we
really out medaled the rest of the world. It was
a walk off competition led by the women. We should
add I think the final medal of the competition was
yesterday with the women's basketball team USA beating France also
two and men's basketball as well bought one hundred and
twenty six medals, coming back to the United States and

(30:16):
setting up for the LA Games in twenty twenty eight,
plus a little activity in Northern Italy in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Let's not forget about two years from now, and keep
in mind too that when it comes to gold of
the forty, I think women represented something like twenty eight
or twenty nine of them, the majority.

Speaker 12 (30:33):
YEP, and the majority of the overall medals for team USA.
So yes, this is certainly things have shifted, and it's
been pretty remarkable seeing Katie Ldeki and some own Biles
and as I said, the US women's basketball team, so
many of the gymnasts. We'll see if Jordan Chiles wins
back her medal or not, as they fight about whether
or not she appealed in time that's gone to the

(30:55):
Court of Arbitration for Sports.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Although Fox revealed the video over the weekend and you
clearly see that they had filed the what do you
call it deal? The It was at the forty six
second mark when they did it, and the video proves it,
so that's within a minute. I think she's going to
get her bronze back.

Speaker 12 (31:15):
Right, So that's what was submitted last night to this
Court of Arbitration for Sports in Switzerland.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
So they're going to have to hash it out over there.

Speaker 12 (31:22):
I think they end up giving both of them bronze
and settle it that way.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
It's interesting when you talk about the dominance of the
United States. I am a little bit older than you,
but I remember being young and that's how I felt
about the Soviet Union's that's what made the miracle in
Lake Placid in nineteen eighty such a big deal. And
I was sitting watching this year and I was sinking.
I bet that's how other country's view us, not because
of our atrocities on the world stage, but our complete

(31:47):
and utter dominance. They must hate us and France. France
almost pulled off a Lake Placid moment at home. I
mean they kind of outplayed the women and it came
down I mean two toes over the line or that
game goes to overtime. Maybe the most exciting thing I
watched the entire Olympic Games. Was the very last and
it was to tie the Chinese who had just went

(32:09):
ahead of us by winning a weightlifting medal. It was
just just a great I'm gonna go with. For me,
the women in soccer for the first time in twelve
years back on top with gold, that was huge, the
men's gymnastics with that bronze, and then using Stephen Nidorsik
might get the most endorsements when he gets home Lens

(32:34):
for sure, great line there. And then for me, I
fell in love with women's rugby. I found love. Do
you really I'm fifty nine years old and I've never
watched a rugby game until this Olympics, and I'm thinking.
There were times I turned to my son Nicholas, and
I said, Nick, I think I'm enjoying rugby more than football. Okay,
help me out here. This is what I want to develop.

Speaker 12 (32:51):
I want to develop a pop up video kind of
thing where it pops up on the screen explaining the.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Play or why that was an important thing. Well, I
kind of need that as the rugby happens. I kind
of need that, believe it or not. With soccer because
I that offside I don't get and I know how
offside works in hockey, and I know how to look
at the blue line. I don't know how it works
in soccer, but for rug I used to be a
soccer referee, so that one I know is it explained

(33:18):
two ones.

Speaker 12 (33:19):
Well, there used to be one player between the ball
and the goal from the other side, and that's that's why.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
But now they changed it a little bit.

Speaker 12 (33:27):
So it's so if you score on it, then you
have to be related to the play, but if you're unrelated,
they'd let it stand. That's the MLS role these days.
But yeah, you need one player between the ball and
the goal.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Greatest Olympic moment it might belong to their own swimmer, right,
I guess who is the star of this Olympic Games
from a world perspective? Now there I think some on viol.

Speaker 12 (33:47):
Kaya the decade now becoming the most decorated Olympic athlete
in American history, that's got to be up there.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
I circled the word four pete. How do you do that?
How do you stay the best in the world? At
the twenty twelve Olympics, four years later, at the twenty sixteen,
four years later, at the twenty twenty four years later
at the twenty twenty four I mean that's just done.

Speaker 12 (34:06):
Things, especially in these sports where there's no money in it. Yeah,
there's no career. It's not like the NBA players who
are all They only go home to their mansions and million,
multimillion dollars whatevers. Whereas you know, the poor lady doing
ribbon gymnastics is for the love of the game.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
No break dancing was as low as it got. And
then only my love for Aaron Reale. I watched the
equestrian Boy, what a boring how's that an Olympics? This right,
that's a new love. People.

Speaker 12 (34:33):
My architecture, poetry, story writing all used to be Olympic
sports and not like seventy years ago.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Yeah, no, that's true. We're all in this together. This
