Speaker 3 (00:21):
Well two three, starting your morning off right. A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding. Not because
we're in mister gid. This is your morning show with
Michael Gilhorn.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
By the way, Jeffrey Lyon running the controls.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
I just got off the phone with Chief Meteorologist Duncan
McCafe in the kitchens.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Yes, they are going to.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Go ahead and issue a severe two cup of coffee morning.
Oh wow, congratulations.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
I thought it was just me.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Okay, So I woke up today very little sleep because
and this is shameful. Turn in my man card now
and get it over with. Oh boy. There's certain shows
my wife goes, oh, you won't like it, and there's
something about oh you won't like it.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
It's like an invitation. Oh I won't. We'll lie now.
I just got to.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I remember Queen Charlotte was the first one, and that
was in the Breckenridge whatever the fictitious Bridgerton thank you,
it's in the Bridgerton series. And I fell in love
with this show. How do I go from watching John
(01:36):
Vesenda and NFL films when you think of Gail says,
you think of the moves, you know, to watching that
and then you know she did the same thing to
me with Virgin River, And I'm like, my gosh, this
is this is like a soap opera. This is like
I can't stop watching. What's the next Lifetime movies?
Speaker 4 (01:56):
No Sweet Magnolia? Ohause, she goes, Oh Sweet Magnolia's kind
of like a Virgin River. It's just mindless, you know,
cheesy soap operating. You know the way they do the music.
First of all, there is something clever they're doing these shows.
You never have a scene more than twenty seconds because
they know we're all watching reels and we have the
attention you know, span of about fifteen twenty seconds, So
(02:19):
the scenes are that quick with these music transitions.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
It's a formula.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
But I'm here to tell you if I can that
if you like Virgin River, which is coming out I
think September tenth of its next season. If you like
Virgin River, you're gonna love Sweet Magnolia. But the bottom
line is these are soap operas. Now, if I were
to tell you I was watching all my children today,
you'd say, what's wrong with you?
Speaker 1 (02:40):
But that's what these are. These are old formula soap operas. Right.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Well, let me tell you Sweet River took me or
Sweet Magnolia took me to almost midnight last night. I
finally I was wide awake. I had to turn it
off to just get a couple of hours sleep. You're
just binging, so Jeffrey's like, you know, man, you're in
a great mood. I can tell you slept, No, just
the opposite.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
But I am.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
I'm in a weird mood in that what should be
interesting me doesn't interest me at all today. Oh and
things that normally wouldn't interest me are all I can
think about C Suite Magnoliam, And then I thought to myself, well,
wait a minute, my listeners are no different. George Harvell,
our corporate chef, says nobody was covering first base. Michael,
(03:22):
the first baseman and the pitcher both tried to feel
the bunt. The second basement didn't cover blessings. Oh, I know.
I was just saying, you don't hear this very often
I'll walk off bunt. But yes, that's exactly what happened. Now,
I was a second basement, so I can tell you
if someone's squaring off the bunt, the corners come in.
He actually bunted down the first baseline. So you have
(03:43):
the picture in the first basement, go for the bunt.
Second basement covers first. Well, they field it, turn, don't
even look, and just throw it right into the outfield
and it came.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
But what made this?
Speaker 2 (03:53):
And I'm trying not to nerd out because trust me,
I could major in the Litle League World Series today.
That tight Chinese TYPEI team is so disciplined. You ought
to see these guys. You know, you can hit something
to the wall and though they get the ball back
into the infield in like one second. Yeah, I mean,
they just don't miss cutoff men.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
They don't.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
They're so fundamentally drilled and sound that for this to
be the way they lost in the eighth, it was crazy.
It was a three hour and ten minute Little League
World Series. Wow, longer than a Major League Baseball game. Well, yeah,
because first of all, and you know, I kind of
felt bad for Type ex until the coach just started
(04:33):
challenging everything.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
I wanted him to lose.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
At that point, you whiny thing, thank you and your
kids to the state department and go home, right, But
just you know, the the US Championship between Florida and
Texas was an amazing game. It looked like Texas was
gonna win. Their their pitchers arms starts hurting. They take
him out in the fourth inning. He had a couple
of hits off him as his arm was hurting, and
then they got lashed and Lake Mary, Florida came back
(04:57):
and won that game ten to seven. So that one
was so sighting hits, doubles, home runs ahead at all.
And then you get to the World Series with the
US versus Chinese type and you get a one to
nothing game at that point in the sixth I believe
the United States had left twelve men on base. You
(05:18):
talk about you spend the rest of the fall thinking
about that. But they tie the game up in the sixth,
go to extra innings, nothing in the seventh and win it.
One to nothing in the eighth, So but yes, I
was aware of that. Then, you know, two big questions.
One should Donald Trump debate? I mean, what's all this
talk about maybe I'll debate, maybe I won't debate. I
do you think I should debate on ABC? I don't
if I should debate on ABC? And so I'm kicking around.
(05:39):
Could this be Trump's way of, you know, a little
shot across the ABC bow. Treat me fair? I guess
what You're not gonna get your ratings bonanza? Is he
just trying to establish that they're biased before the debate happens.
Is he really threatening to pull out? I think it's
the most consequential thing that can happen between now on
election day. Is he pacing himself because if he's leading,
then he won't bother But if he's not leading, or
if it's real close, he will. So I asked you,
(06:01):
I said, used the talk back button, tell me what
you think, and kind of like me, everybody's focused kind
of like, by the way, if you think you're a
good cook, just like if you think you're a good
baseball player, you know, or a basketball player. I live
next door to somebody that played on the New Orleans
Jazz and you know, there was times out in the
front yard. I thought it was pretty good. Then he
(06:22):
come over and I'm like, okay, you're a professional. Have
you ever golfed with a real pro? It's like like
not even human, No, like a video game has come
to life and it's playing with you. That's how it
is with chef Arvel when he cooks.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Oh, that's a whole other level. That's a gifting.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Yeah, he's the one who did the watermelon ribs. Remember
we featured it on the show. So you know, George
calls up, he's I'm talking about all this stuff really important?
What's he talking about? The second baseman didn't cover first
during the lake? And then I asked these serious questions RFK,
did the party betray him? Or is he betraying the
party and his family? And here's what we get, here's
(07:00):
our talkback.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Michael.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
I think that that butt dial sound you're hearing is a.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
Truck driver and that's him shifting through all the year.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
See it's not me. Everybody's wired a little weird today,
aren't they. And let me tell you something, I get it.
Thank you for that call.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I am I am more interested in all the things
that are in the news. I'm more interested. We got
another butt dial on our talkback. I immediately hear somebody dismembering
a body. Not that the mafia really exists, but if
it did, and you bump somebody off last night, that's
the dismembering of the body, right, he claims. And then
(07:39):
I said, maybe a dentist is up early drilling teeth.
That's what I was thinking, was a dentist. I don't
think that's shifting of gears. It's the same thing over
and over again. Wouldn't a gear have different sounds as
it gets byron higher? I'm not sure about this. Never
driven a semi, but aren't there multiple light it's more
than just your standard five shift? Well, I know that
(08:00):
it's not like they could be running through first, second, third, fourth?
Is this all the crap they're going through and we're
going why are they so slow?
Speaker 1 (08:05):
And we're passing them? And this could be a lot
of the problem.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
That's a lot of good. Let me tell you, shaf
you can't get these big truction automatic. That's the first
thing I would say when I got to trucker school. Hey,
he's coming automatic. Although I'll tell you there's two things
about me that are very weird.
Speaker 6 (08:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
They always said that a king would ask this, if
you would in acting, what would you be?
Speaker 7 (08:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (08:32):
And the truth of the matter is I would like
to sell tires.
Speaker 8 (08:36):
Seriously.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
There's something about the smell of a tire store and
going through all the different types, touching them, doing the transit.
I like when they pull out a book. This is
in the old days. Now it's pretty much all on
the computer. But the old days they pull out one
of those trifolders and they had all the elaminated pages
(08:57):
and the guy is flipping through it, and then his
dirty finger is pointing to the R two seven five
o six. You know they in the names and they
have for him.
Speaker 9 (09:06):
You know.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
That's like the first thing.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
I don't know if I want to be a mortician,
you know, and come greet you and say come on,
let's go see mom. Yeah, or if I want to
go come on, let me show you some continental tiers Michelin.
I don't know why, but I do think about being
a truck driver. I like the thought of you're a
traveling little bedroom too. Oh absolutely so, Like at any
(09:28):
point you just pull over cozy up in your little
CoCom back there and take a little five hour and nap.
Got your fifty inch screen back there, grab yourself a
cup of coffee whatever you picked up at the convenience
store of the night before, and guys, you know what.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
I'm talking about? No, I don't know. It just seems
cozy to me.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Well all right, so anybody, uh, why don't we just
play to the add Yeah?
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Play the sound again? This was a butt call.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
I think it's a dentist up early the mafia dismembering
a body. Or is this a trucker shifting his gears?
I mean, seriously, I can hear now, hear the idol
yet Maybe he's just revting his engine over and over
(10:16):
and over again.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
It'd be fixing. Take somebody out.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
What do you think? That's why we have the podcast button.
If you're listening on your iHeartRadio app, you'll see a
little microphone that's a talkback button. Hit it, you leave
a message if we get it instantly. Is that a
trucker shifting through the gears or is that somebody dismembering
a body? You tell us on an ad D Monday,
August twenty sixth, All right, Harris Waltz and Trump Vance.
(10:40):
They are all on road again in swing states campaigning today.
When the RNC convention ended, the Democrats poop pooed over
all their momentum with the outing of Joe Biden. Did
RFK do the same this weekend? What was the impact
of RFK leaving? Moreover, did the Demo crap Party, along
(11:01):
with the mainstream media that's in their left pocket betray
RFK or did he betray his family and his party.
We're gonna talk about that with Chris Walker. That's originally
we were gonna have you answer on the talkback, but
now we're trying to solve the mystery of what that
guy's butt was doing. Jd Vance says that he believes
Donald Trump. Why are we going by what? Jd Vance
(11:23):
says he believes Donald Trump has stated point blank, I
would veto any federal abortion ban. Why Donald Trump is
thoroughly convinced, like the Supreme Court, this never should have
been a federal issue. It's up to the people and
the states to decide. And you may live in a
state that will abort right up to the eighteenth birthday,
and you might live in a state that doesn't that's
(11:44):
for each state, because we're the United States and the
people of each state to decide. Donald Trump couldn't be
more crystal clear on this, so jd Vance is just
trying to get it through the thick heads of a
biased media. It's still trying to make the boogeyman out
of Donald Trump. And I don't know how this guy
bought Babe Ruce jersey for I think it was like
eight hundred thousand dollars. Turns out it is the jersey
(12:06):
in Game three of the nineteen thirty two World Series
where the babe pointed, that's how good he was, right, Yeah,
I don't even do that during my show. Feel so
confident in the segment that I pointed out, here comes
a home run, pointed, and then did it. That went
at auction for twenty four Some guy made twenty four million,
(12:28):
but he made twenty three million in profit in like
two years off that jersey. Holy smoke, as it turned
out to be the like that the famous called the
shot jersey, and as George the Chef explained, the second
basement didn't cover first base US be Chinese type A
two to one in the Little League World Series and
for Mike McCann who might be listening down in New Orleans.
(12:50):
It was the Tennessee Titans who came back to win
about thirty to twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
This is why I don't trash talk until the game
is open.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
This is your morning show with Michael Deltona. Never mind
the war in the Middle East, never mind who the
next president is. What was that sound on our talkback?
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Butt call? Carlos has a theory. What put on me?
Speaker 5 (13:14):
That is the sound of a food processor in someone's meal,
prepping for the week.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
A food process, food processor sounds good?
Speaker 1 (13:22):
What's another theory?
Speaker 2 (13:26):
The noise sounds like a by the mixed blender. Oh
so that's two for a blender, two for a blender,
two for a blender. For those that are just waking up,
do we have the original? Uh?
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Butt call? I was, I'm really a dark human being.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
I said, it's something somebody's up early dismembering a body.
See that idol makes me think it's a truck that's
a food processor.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Does an idol like that?
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Yeah, it does sound like a semi truck running through
the gears.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
No wonder. This is the show. The birds say are
for the people.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
We're all a need, aren't we to Yeah, if you're
just waking up. Both candidates are swinging through the swing states.
Tammy Trehuilo has Today in Politics.
Speaker 10 (14:16):
The twenty twenty four presidential race shifts into high gear
this week. Both candidates hit the campaign trail, with Vice
President Kamala Harris and Tim Walls kicking off a bus
tour in the battleground state of Georgia on Wednesday. Former
President Trump and JD. Evans will also hold several events
in swing states this week. Monday, Trump will speak at
the National Guard Association conference in Detroit. Vance will deliver
(14:37):
remarks at campaign stop in Big Rapids, Michigan on Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Robert F.
Speaker 10 (14:41):
Kennedy Junior says he dropped out of the twenty twenty
four presidential race because of censorship by major networks.
Speaker 11 (14:47):
It became clear to me that I did not have
a pass in victory sixteen months of censorship, of not
being able to get on any network really except for Fox.
Speaker 10 (14:57):
In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Kennedy's as he
and former President Trump found they agreed on many issues,
leading to his decision to drop out of the race,
and he says that as of now, he has not
been promised a cabinet position in a potential Trump administration.
That's politics. I'm Tammy Trio meanwalk DC News Radio.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Thank you. Meanwhile, the White House says President Biden is monitoring.
Do we really think Joe Biden's monitoring developments with Israel
and Hustle as they trade military strikes? A National Security
Council spokesman he might be monitoring it said the United
States continues to support Israel's right to defend itself. The
extent of damage on either side was not immediately clear.
Deadpool and Wolverine continue to dominate at the box office.
(15:39):
Brian shook you all weekend Long has More.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
Marvel's latest hit raked in and estimated eighteen point three
million dollars in its fifth week of release. Sci Fi
horror sequel Alien Romulus dropped his second after topping the
box office last week, bringing in sixteen point two million
dollars in its second weekend. The Blake Lively led romantic
drama It Ends with Us took third with an estimated
(16:03):
eleven point eight million dollars. I'm Brian Schuok.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Today is National Dog Day and as pre Tennis reports,
we have more dogs in our home than ever.
Speaker 12 (16:13):
There are sixty five point one million households in the
US with at least one dog. That's forty percent of
the population. The US Census says, right now there are
more dogs and homes than children, and that's a first.
Thirty three percent of millennials have a dog, twenty five
percent of Gen X and twenty four percent of Baby
boomers all share space with a free critter. So today,
(16:34):
take Fido for a walk and give extra belly rubs
because dogs are awesome. I'm pre Tennis.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Would you love Brie by the way, if you're a
single woman with a dog? Jad Van says no comment.
In preseason football, Bucks twenty four to fourteen over the Fins,
Cowboys felt to the Chargers, Browns lost thirty seven to
thirty three to the Seahawks. Titans outscored the Saints. Sorry,
Mike McCann thirty to twenty seven. Cardinals lost big to
the Broncos and the Commanders. If you fell asleep on
twenty to ten last night over the Patriots.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Hey it's me Michael.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
You can listen to your morning show live on the
air or streaming live on your iHeart app. Monday through
Friday from three to six Pacific, five to eighth Central,
and six to nine Eastern on great radio stations like
Talk six to fifty KSTE and Sacramento or one oh
four nine The Patriot in Saint Louis and Impact Radio
one oh five nine and twelve fifty whd Z in Tampa, Florida.
(17:23):
Sure hope you can join us live and make us
a part of your morning routine. In the meantime, enjoy
the podcast.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
If you're just waking up.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
The exchange between Hespala and the Israeli military ceased about
noon our time yesterday. RFK Junior says one of the
big reasons he dropped out of the presidential race was
censorship by the major networks and the Harris Walls Trump
vance campaigns sprawl out over the Swing states as the
(17:51):
general campaign gets under way, and what are the your
morning show listeners focused on? What did our talk back
butt call sound? What was it really? I said it
was somebody dismembering a body. Somebody said it was a
truck shifting through gears. We're getting a lot of food processors.
Let's see what the latest is.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Good morning, Michael. I think it was someone making a smoothie.
That's how my mine sounds as well.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
That's a semi truck driver starting his rig truck and
reving the motor to get his air brakes, his air
on his air brakes up to pressure.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
How about that?
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Hey, Michael, I heard that sound, and that's the exact
sound my seatpap machine makes somebody sleep where you wish
you could put me in?
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Wait a minute, that was my wife, wasn't it.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
I think it was it did, say Andrea del Jordan.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Oh, I was gonna say, yeah, because says if you
killed me? What were you? Guys said? What chipper?
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Of course? All right, that's our a D D audience
for you, including at home. All right, Aaron ray I,
let's joining it. You know, we got war in the
Middle East, we got who's going to be president Will
Trump debate? Y rfk's out, and my entire audience is
fixated on the sound of our real talker.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Oh wait, Aaron's thing is acting up again. She's gonna
have to.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Call did you have one more?
Speaker 1 (19:12):
That's all I got? Oh, that's all you got right now?
Working on another one. I'm surprised we don't have one
for Sweet Magnolia.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
While we're at it. But we'll get to that, all right.
I don't know why it's saying, looks like something went wrong.
We're trying to get back on the call. Yeah, she
needs to just is she gonna call you? I hope.
I would probably guess that she will call me here
in a second. I'll do the setup so we don't
have to waste time when she gets here. All right,
So Kamala Harris. First of all, this is all this
(19:40):
all boils down to this big question. What is the
proper size and role of government? It's never asked, it's
never answered, it's rarely even pondered. What is the proper
size and role of government? And what is the role
and responsibility of the self governed? So what's government's job
(20:03):
and what's our job? Is the big question?
Speaker 1 (20:05):
All right?
Speaker 2 (20:06):
These politicians they like to pit us all against each other,
blame the two parties. One party blames the other, the
other blames the other, pit us against each other while
they maintain power. Now the question is the government the
solution or the problem? And it's more government fixing the
problem or more problem. So here comes You've had all
(20:28):
this pandering for votes in paying off student loans. Now,
Kamala Harris wants to pander for votes in paying off
your medical debt if she's elected. We've played this game before.
Aaron Rayal is here, so I don't know why we're
having problems with your other connection, but I'll take you
any way I can get you aerin give us the scoop.
Speaker 13 (20:49):
Yes, I'll do it. Be at the phone. That's time.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
So yeah, apparently this is a winning strategy because fifty
one percent of adults say it is extremely.
Speaker 13 (20:57):
Or very important for the federal government to forgave medical debt.
Speaker 6 (21:01):
Meanwhile, student loan debt only thirty nine percent think that
that's as important as medical debt.
Speaker 13 (21:06):
So if you're smelting and you want to differentiate yourself
from Biden, this is a good one. It polls better.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
We have fifteen million Americans that have medical bills on
their credit reports and two hundred and twenty billion in
medical debt.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Okay, you m to be a drug. Let's do the differences,
all right.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
So the difference is a student loan, which is ridiculous, right,
I mean, why a student loan and not a bank loan?
Why a student loan and not a visa bill or
anything else that we rack up, but a student loan.
There are so many choices we couldn't possibly know. You
have one kid that'll go to community college for free
for two years and then and work, save up money,
(21:47):
transfer and pay as they go.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
They get penalized.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
The one that went to whatever college they wanted to,
even one that didn't make any sense for the degree
they were getting.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
In the career they.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Were going in partying, racking up a great apartment, not
data DA. They get theirs paid off, all right, So
there's just too much you couldn't possibly know. With medical bills,
something could have happened that wasn't your fault or out
of the ordinary.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Of course, that's what insurance is for.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
And a lot of the high cost of healthcare has
been broken from and by government meddling. But it appears
as though America will do the same wrong thing and
say it's okay if it's a medical bill, but not
so much for it. And you think the problem is
just the politicians and not the people to put them there.
Speaker 13 (22:34):
I mean, wow, yeah, listen, you're preaching in the choir.
Speaker 6 (22:37):
And then also another thing that I think is why
more people are sympathetic to medical debt as opposed to
college debt is everything you just described. It's the fact
that like, okay, well that's on you. You decided to
take out that type of loan to get that type
of degree, and you did it willingly. You didn't decide
to get that cancer diagnosis.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Or whatever, or did you by smoking?
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Or did you by being obese for twenty you know
what I mean?
Speaker 6 (23:00):
No, I like that you give it to me like
that because I couldn't agree with you more. Many people
did make themselves sick. And I know we're not allowed
to say that out loud, but it is the truth.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
You're one hull.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
I'm my biggest set of me Aaron, are you kidding me?
Where's my Copenhagen? I'm aggravated now.
Speaker 13 (23:15):
So it is very true. But here's an interesting point.
Speaker 6 (23:19):
I really want to bring this up before we rewrap
because I think it's so important.
Speaker 13 (23:22):
Apparently she didn't. She didn't give details on how exactly
she's going to cancel this.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
But what's interesting is that you can buy medical debt
for any's on the dollar.
Speaker 13 (23:33):
So we have seen.
Speaker 6 (23:34):
There's a nonprofit called UNDU Medical Debt. They partner with
local governments to campus to cancel people's debt. Generally they
wipe out about one thousand dollars worth of medical debt
for ten dollars. So they buy the debt, almost always
directly from the hospital, for ten bucks to wipe it out.
And then the American Rescue Plan which was passed during COVID,
you saw cities, county, states all across the US. They
(23:56):
would use those funds. They already have eliminated billions. They
think they're going to ultimately eliminate seven billion dollars in
medical debt for over three million Americans by the end
of twenty twenty six.
Speaker 13 (24:06):
And again, this is debt.
Speaker 6 (24:08):
It's always been odd and interesting to me that you
can buy debt for pennies on the dollar and then
chase the person who is a chief.
Speaker 13 (24:14):
But like that, that's the business.
Speaker 6 (24:16):
But the fact that we're doing it with medical debt,
and that the government, whether they buy it with taxpayer
dollars or print the money, that.
Speaker 13 (24:21):
Is one way in which they can eliminate it.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Well, we went through this with healthcare reform.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Again, nobody was out in the back alley dying with
flies on their eyes. Everybody received emergency health care. The
difference was some paid, some didn't. It was that simple,
and all Obamacare did was shifted to premiums instead of
check out. But all this stuff gets shifted back. This
is what drives up the cost of health care, those
that pay and those that don't. This is what's going
to drive up the care, the cost of education, those
(24:47):
who pay and those who don't. I mean, how many
times are we going to do the same thing in
different sectors inspected a different result. I thought that was
the definition of insanity, which is what the government is
driving me insane.
Speaker 13 (25:00):
Listen, you're pre seen in the choir.
Speaker 6 (25:01):
I agree with you, and I'm like, listen, if you're
going to revamp our medical system, do it or don't like?
What we created was not that. And the fact that
people in this country, this wealthy country, with incredible medicine,
can go bankrupt.
Speaker 13 (25:17):
Because they got sick isn't great either. So we have
the reality. Yes, how do we address it?
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Do we have thirty more seconds?
Speaker 13 (25:24):
Yes? Yes?
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Okay, play her the talkback original sound. Let's get Aaron
vote erin. We get butt calls on our talkback button.
I immediately hear like somebody dismembering a body or a
dentist up early drilling teeth.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Others have said it's a.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Truck starting and getting the air brakes pumped up and
revving the engine. Others have said food processor or juicer.
Tell me what you hear, all right, can't.
Speaker 13 (26:04):
Tell you don't have a guess or like a Vita mix.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
We've got war in the Middle East, We've got war
between the parties and the people at home.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
And this is what everyone cares about. What is that?
Speaker 2 (26:20):
You know what that last guy convinced me because I
hear an idol when it settles, if you have it
really loud, I'm telling you that that's a truck starting
up and he's doing the engine.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
I think, I think that's one of our trucks.
Speaker 13 (26:32):
He's got like kind of a quiet engine.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
And you know what else I heard?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
I heard the governments thinking about paying off the loan
on his truck car, on his truck financing.
Speaker 13 (26:42):
They are, they are, all right, we'll.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Talk again tomorrow. Great reporting, Aerona. We take her anyway
we can get her, phone or line, doesn't matter, all right.
If you're just waking up, these are your top five
stories of the day. Well, Republicans finish their convention and
that's when they decide to get rid of Joe Biden
stealing all the thunder. Democrats finish their convention, and that's
(27:05):
when RFK goes scorched earth. I'm what the Democrat Party
did to him in the name of democracy, and what
the media did to him because they're in democracy, the
Democrat Party's back pocket. Lisa Cardin has more of our
top story.
Speaker 8 (27:22):
In an interview with Fox new Sunday, Kennedy said he
realized that he had no path to victory after he
was kept off major news networks and blocked out of
the presidential debates.
Speaker 11 (27:32):
I did not have a path to victory sixteen months
of censorship, of not being able to get on any
network really except for Fox.
Speaker 8 (27:40):
He went on to say that former President Trump reached
out to him and the two found they agreed on
many issues, leading to Kennedy's decision to drop out of
the race. As of now, Kennedy says he has not
been promised a cabinet position in a potential Trump administration.
I'm Lisa Carton.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Republican vice presidential candidate j d Vance says he believes
Donald tr Trump would veto a federal abortion ban. Can
I rephrase the story. The president, former President Donald Trump
has made a crystal clear he would veto a federal
abortion ban. But Vance said Trump's been very clear he
wants to leave abortion to the state.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Dal Trump wants to end this cultural war over this
particular topic.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
If excuse me, California wants to have a different abortion
policy from Ohio, then Ohio.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Has to respect California and California has to respect Ohio.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Yeah, but the DNC had to make a boogeyman out
of the issue, all right. The White House says President
Biden is monitoring development, says Israel and has a lot
of trade strikes aimed at military targets. We're not certain
if Biden isn't really monitoring anything, but we do know.
A National Security Council spokesman said the US continues to
support Israel's right to defend itself. The extent of damage
(28:48):
on either side was not immediately clear, but it appears
to be the heaviest exchange of fighting between Israel and
has be a lot in months of fighting, and the
US and its allies have been working to avoid a
larger regional war in the Middle East, meaning getting closer
and closer to a direct war between Israel and Aram
Deadpool Wolverine. That's what we all went and saw this weekend.
(29:09):
Brian Shook has our box office totals.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
Marvel's latest hit raked in and estimated eighteen point three
million dollars in its fifth week of release. Sci fi
horror sequel Alien Romulus dropped his second after topping the
box office last week, bringing in sixteen point two million
dollars in its second weekend. The Blake Lively led romantic
drama It Ends with Us took third with an estimated
(29:33):
eleven point eight million dollars. I'm Brian Schuk.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
The jersey warn by Yankees great Babe Ruth in the
famous called shot Game three of the nineteen thirty two
World Series sold at auction in New York City for
a record breaking twenty four million dollars. Lisa Sevadi has more.
Speaker 9 (29:51):
Back in two thousand and five, that same jersey worn
by Ruth sold for nine hundred and forty thousand dollars,
but was only known as twenty War on the Road
during the thirty two World Series against the Cubs. Companies
Photo matched it in recent years and discovered he wore
it in Game three when he pointed to the outfield
while at bat and then hit a home run into
center field, the famous cold shot. Lisa Salvadi NBC News

Thanks for waking up with your morning show on the
Aaron streaming live on your iHeartRadio app if you're just
waking up. Harrison Walls and Trump Vance are sprawled out
over the Spring States as the general campaign season begins.
RFK says, one of the big reasons he dropped out
of the race was censorship by the networks and the
White House as President Biden is monitoring developments as Israel
and Hesbelah trade strikes aimed at military targets this weekend.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
With more on.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
That, Rory O'Neil, your Morning Show National correspondent joins us.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Good morning, Rory, Hey, Michael, good morning.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Nobody wants to see tensions rising in the Middle East
or a proxy war become a direct war with Iran
and Israel that creates a new proxy war with the US.
And of course this was probably the most intense exchange
with Hesbelah and Israeli to date.
Speaker 7 (31:40):
Yes, certainly, and Israel says this was a preemptive strike
to take out some of the Hesbolo hardware there in
Lebanon before they could launch a large strike into Israel.
You know, the Iron Dome is a fantastic defensive system. However,
it's big vulnerability is it doesn't handle multiple projectiles well.
(32:00):
And Israel says they saw thousands of missiles, rockets and
drones all lined up by Hesbelah in southern Lebanon, so
they wanted to go and take them out before they
could be launched. Simultaneously and really overwhelm Iron Dome, and
they think they were successful in that.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
And Hesbelah stated its goal it was to use drones
and other things to take out defense systems, so exactly, yeah,
I mean both sides and tensions are pretty obvious.
Speaker 7 (32:25):
And then blow you know, using explosives to blow up
explosives causes a whole lot of explosions. And that's some
of the dramatic footage that we've seen with mushroom clouds
and big flashes and things like that.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
And both claiming they did all they could to not
target any innocent civilians or casualties, and so far it
looks pretty effective in that it took out mainly the
targets it was aimed at.
Speaker 7 (32:49):
Right, We've gotten reports of a couple of members of
Hesbolah who may have been killed, maybe three two or three,
and some other buildings in Israel were damaged by projectiles
that got through, but not widespread damage for sure. And
then it seems as if, as we're talking now, that
this is not currently leading to a greater escalation of
(33:11):
the conflict, that they may keep things down at this point.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Rory's gonna be back next hour. It was Butcher and Sonny, right,
who are stuck in space?
Speaker 6 (33:22):
Yep?
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Only because of Butcher casting and Sundance kid. Can I
remember Butch and Sonny and it looks like they're gonna
be stuck in space till twenty twenty five?
Speaker 13 (33:29):
Right?
Speaker 7 (33:29):
Yeah, well Williams and Willmore doesn't sound as it sounds that.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Well, that doesn't make they're stuck in space any better?
Do we want Rory to hear that sound and see
what his guess is? We had a somebody give us
a butt call on our talkback button, nice, and everybody's
been guessing.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
I'm going to go.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
I went originally with somebody who was dismembering a body,
but now I'm changing. I think this is an eighteen
wheeled truck warming up because I'm hearing an idol. Others
have said a juicer vegamin blender right, crank it up
for him to here, doesn't.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Feed down the line.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
But I think I heard a slightly Oh it's not
hearing You're not hearing a good down the line.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Yeah, I'm going with a you think it's a blender.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Yeah, I'm going to go with truck because I'm hearing
a steady idol When he's done revving.
Speaker 7 (34:20):
I'm hearing the eighteen wheeler two, don't hear it well
enough to Yeah, Roy can't make the guests.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Finally, I'm going to congratulate you Lake Mary. All Stars
from Lake Mary, Florida Little League World Series Champions two
