Three starting your morning off right, A new way of talk,
a new way of understanding Well.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Because we're in this toget. This is your morning show
with Michael Dale shown.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Good morning, Welcome to Tuesday, the eighth of October, yere
of Our Lord, twenty twenty four on the Aaron, streaming
live on your iHeartRadio app everywhere. This is your morning show.
I'm Michael, happy to be serving you. Jeffrey's over there,
happy to be serving me. And we're all keeping our
eyes in prayers. Focused on the state of Florida. Hurricane
Milton rapidly intensified yesterday to a Cat five, continued to

(00:53):
churn towards Tampa. Expected arrival is late tomorrow night early
Thursday morning, produce potentially devastating ocean surge of ten feet
or more. Some people who didn't evacuate for hurricane Helene
last month planned to do so this time. You probably
have heard in a lot of your national newscasts throughout

(01:13):
this show the preparations that are being made by the
governor and by the state. There was a gas shortage
yesterday that was dealt with. Trucks are being police escorted
in with gasoline, and of course the governor appointing people
not just out of the state but to centers where
they can take shelter within the state. All eyes are

(01:34):
on Milton, all prayers for the people of Florida. Meanwhile,
the United States hitting Hamas and it's funding network with
some sanctions. Gospel singer Sissy Houston, mother of Whitney Houston,
passed away at the age of ninety one. It was
the Chiefs last night over the Saints twenty six to thirteen,
and hockey faces off. The regular season starts today, all right.

(01:54):
One year was the anniversary yesterday of the Hamas invasion
into Israel. Over twelve hundred killed, raped, beheaded, slaughtered Americans
and Israeli's taken hostages. A year later, here we stand,
why is it so difficult as Israel fights a seven
front war to decide who's on the right side and

(02:16):
who's on the wrong side. Case in point, this is
Kamala Harris on sixty minutes talking about Israel.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Israel has a right to defend itself, we would, and
how it does so matters. Far too many innocent Palestinians
have been killed. This war has to end.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano is joining us. That's Kamala Harris
saying Israel has a right to defend itself, but how
it does matters. And of course all her sympathies are
with the Palestinians and those that have been casualties in
this Why is this politically so hard to decide who's right.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
And who's wrong.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Money and power a confluence of people. I've invested a
lot of money an influence over the last two decades
in building the infrastructure for the global into products under

(03:13):
the you know guys of you know, human rights and
you know political empowering people and don't be you know, Islamophobic.
They built up a massive infrastructure, and when the war
on Israel was triggered, they triggered their global networks to
create political cover for terrorists. And the fact look, I mean,

(03:40):
if if people had marched in the streets after Pear Harbor,
or or after Crystal Knock right, or we had, you know,
ACTA pro Alcata demonstrations after nine to eleven, the world
would have been appalled. But after one of the most
horrific terrorist attacks in modern times, literally you have people

(04:05):
in the streets parading for the terrorists under the cover
of this is kind of some legitimate political movement and
these are kind of innocent people all around the world
that are standing up in solidarity with Paliside. And the
reality is this was a consciously built political thing. So
we look, there are to be two parts to this war,

(04:27):
and this should be super simple. One is we should
just say Israel, go defend yourself, and then we should
just sit back and watch that happen. The other is
government and civil society around the world should be mobilizing
to crush the global into Fada. Instead, what we have
is making excuses for enabling empowering the global in Devada

(04:50):
and trying to tell Israel it doesn't have a right
to defend itself, even as we say you do.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
But Harris did say it has a right to defend itself.
We would I mean, imagine if they lobbed a hundred
if Iran a lobbed one hundred and eighty one missiles
at us, but then out of the next breath criticize
how they're doing it so right?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Which is which is which is kind amount to saying
that you actually can't defend yourself. And and and I'm
just telling you because this is the reality. Is this.
You remember twenty years ago when Barack Obama said, oh,
we can't have gay marriage, and then now we celebrate
gay marriage as if it's a it's a human right,

(05:32):
and how could anybody ever question it?

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Oh, abortion has become a virtue in a human rights all.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Right, exactly, So what if in five you know, by
the end of Tamala Harris's presidential term, the idea of
defending Israel or fighting Jew hate, that that will be No,
we will be it's okay to hate the Jews and
call for the destruction of Israel. They're just like they

(06:00):
did on abortion, like they did on marriage, like they
did on education, like they did on energy. Once they're
confident that they're in power, the masks will come off
and they'll say no, actually, you know, we don't care
about that stuff. And the weird thing is it's all
about money and power. It's like, what are the Chinese,
the Russians, the Islamist all have ron What do they

(06:26):
all have in common? They're all promoting this notion of
Palestinian rights, which is nonsense, and none of them believe
it either. This is the other thing. None of them
care about Palestinians, even if Moss doesn't care about Palestinians.
But it's just a game that they play.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah, I mean Palestine, the Palestinian territory is just a
body the parasite is occupying at the moment.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Eventually you'll kill it too.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
How much of the Lieutenant Colonel James carafan On, one
of the finest military foreign policy minds in the world
today joining us, how much of this is And you
would think this wouldn't be a problems after nine to eleven,
although that's a joke because nine to eleven wasn't even
the first time the World Trade Center was a tech
But how much of this is Western minds ignorant of Islam,
It's world ambitions, and it's inability to believe in evil

(07:15):
and what to do with evil when it exists.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
How much of that is a problem?

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Well, this is a lesson learned of nine to eleven
because nobody knew nine to eleven was going to happen,
so they weren't prepared for it, and they weren't prepared
to fight back against nations fighting for themselves. Then they've
taken twenty years to lay the foundation. So when the

(07:42):
next nine to eleven happened, which happened on October seventh,
rather than the world uniting against terrorism, they built this
entire infrastructure and network to prevent them from doing that.
And it's a double benefit, right, because not only are
they preventing people from responding to this, we are literally
leading to our own self destruction. When we think it's

(08:04):
okay for our kids to be marching in the streets,
it's a part of a terrorist cause. You know, to
me that you know, the real symbol of this is
Greta Thunberg, Right, This was a She was just this
little innocent kid that wanted to save the planet. Isn't
that cute and wonderful? Right, she becomes the emblem for
climate change, which is just another version of the global

(08:26):
in defouducts leading to our own self destruction. And then
when she you know, kind of first kind of slipped
as kind of advocating for Palestine. You know, she got
this huge blowback, but now she's literally in the streets
as a pro Palestinian activist and the climate thing is
well went off. Type of that in marking down stab
and Palatine. I mean, it's just utter sham.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
One of the headlines today is the United States is
going to hit Amas funding networks with sanctions on the
anniversary of the Israeli invasion of October seventh, a year ago.
And your first thought is a year later and you
mean we already weren't sanctioning. Oh, I guess I better
not notice that you lifted the sanctions and freed millions
and millions of dollars to Iran two that they've used

(09:13):
to carry out these attack I mean, I guess I
want to ask you, how dumb do we have to
be to buy these narratives?

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Well, I apparently not super dumb, because I don't think
they'd be trying this stuff if they didn't think that
people were going to fall for it, which is it's
all politics, right. You know, we lifted all the sanctions
on the Hutis, then they literally attacked the world, and
then we said, oh, yeah, we need the sanction of
the Huti toome. We just gave more money to Iran

(09:43):
and then we say and then what does Kamala Harris say?
The number one threat we have is Iran? She says
that in the sixty minutes interview, even as we're still
giving them billions of dollars more money. You know, we
empower and engage Hamas we say, oh, they have to
have a state, and then we say, oh, yeah, but
we're going to sanction them. But it is it is
literally just gas lighting, trying to pretend that we actually

(10:04):
care about these things, as saying It's like, how many
times do you have to see that you know, look,
you do know't mean I'm not name of a Republican.
I mean I have a dog in this right, I
don't care who you vote for. But how many times
do the national leaders of this party have to have
to play kind of bait and switch with you before
people wake up and said, oh my god, they actually
don't believe any of this stuff and they just want

(10:26):
the boat. And after the boat, they're going to show
us who they really are.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Well, and they do that with the border, and they
do that with debt closing moments with Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano,
one of the finest military foreign policy minds in America today.
You probably see him on Fox News all the time.
Let's do the reverse of this Israel, I thought bb
Net yea Who's and I played it in our sounds
the day yesterday he talked about the Seven Front War,
how they're going alone, how dare you know make Croun

(10:51):
or anybody in the West, And I think he was
talking about Biden and Harris, question how they prosecute this
war and they're willing to go it alone.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
What they have done in a year, I.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Mean the state of America a year later is division
and confusion over Israel. And if you can't figure out
which is evil and which is and who to stand
by a friend or who to stand against an enemy.
I think politicians have a bigger problem than the American people,
but both are starting to have a problem. No problem
in Israel, and what they've done in the last year
has been pretty remarkable, beheading Hamas and Hesbelah and the

(11:22):
Huthis and now pivoting to Iran, the real source. They've
eliminated the leadership of the proxies and now they're going
after the problem.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Yeah, this is the major miscalculation of the Biden Harris administration,
which is they thought that political support for net now
who would collapse, they would throw them out, they get
a moderate government who would just go along with this,
all this a piece and stuff. The opposite has happened.
The people of Israel have united around this the protection

(11:51):
of Israel. And so rather than net Yahoo being you know,
kind of a disposable guy that they could just put
a puppet in, the people have actually we are actually
with the agenda of defeating the Moss and hez blah.
And so now Biden's got nothing because you can't throw
he can't completely draw them under the bus because the
Democrats are trying to win the election. He can't get

(12:13):
Israel do what he wants because they have a powerful
political leader, not a week in one. So basically the
United States does look like a Yahoo. Well that's pretty much.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
That's and that's being kind final thirty seconds.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
I used to have a youth pastor that would always
remind us when we're being a little bit too tough
on ourselves, we're a little bit too focused on circumstances.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
He would say, think about where you were a year
ago and think about where you are now. I could
do that with Israel and then think about where we
might be a year from now. What does the next
year look like?

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Well, it all depends on what's the policy towards Iraz.
You know, Israel has hammered Hamas and Hezbollah and they're
going to that's going to buy them some time. But
Iran is the root of all evil in the region.
And unless we have a policy dealing with Iran that actually,
you know, puts the Iranians back in their place, in
the next year, we'll be right back where we started.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
I'll remind everyone a Ran and their proxies has blah,
just to name a few Hamas, the hoo Thies. They're
not Israel's problem. They're the world's most predictable problem. And
you would think the world would unite to at least
preserve itself because you're next after Israel. Always appreciate it.
We talk every week, James. We'll talk to you next

(13:30):
week or sooner if conditions warrant. Thank you so much
for your insights. This is your Morning show with Michael
del Chona speaking of Steady Rock and Hurricane Milton the
Category five. There's some nice cool air over the Central
US that's slowing down this hurricane and sucking out some
of its strength. Now down into the category four range,

(13:53):
a high category four at that Pray for continued weakening,
but Tampa and Central Florida bracing for impact. Vice President
Kamala Harris and Vice President Knucklehead got roughed up on
sixty minutes. Gospel singer Sissy Houston, mother of Whitney Houston,
dead at the age of ninety one. And the Chiefs
Chiefs and the Vikings, as I'm reminded by Stephen, are

(14:16):
still undefeated, the only two undefeated teams left in the NFL.
Big win over the Saints last night at home for
Kansas City, and let's seef. We can review this show.
Vice President's a knucklehead, not a liar. Checked I sang
BB and CC winings the duet to Tomorrow, both on
our birthday numerous times. My dog still stinks of skunk

(14:36):
six days later. And Aaron's husband huffed whipping cream at
boarding school. Does that pretty much get everybody up to speed?

Speaker 1 (14:43):
That's what we do. I think we're good. Do you
think at any point he would say to you.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Hey, could you not share any more boarding school stories
on the National show?

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Yeah, I think he's going to be all that all came.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Up because I'm in a good mood. I get nitrous
oxide today for a routine dental cleaning.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
All right.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Thirty eight minutes after the hour, Aaron Reale, our national correspondent,
is joining US. Oil market analysts are worried. Why, well,
they should be Israel's going to eventually strike Iran because
Iran directly tried to strike them with one hundred and
eighty one missiles, and the rich targets would either be
they're enrichment plants for the ambition of a nuclear weapon,
or they're oil that makes them rich that they sell

(15:24):
to China and others. So I would think that's the
realistic quarry.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
What is it doing.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
It's a really realistic quarry. Yesterday Israel spent the day
getting pummeled on all sides. From Hesbola in Lebanon, there
was missiles coming at them for the middle of the
country from Yemen. They hit the third biggest city, Haipha.
The Iron Dome captured most of this not all, but
long story short, we're beginning to.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
See oil prices rise.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
The markets are now pricing in the massive region wide
disruption in the Middle East, so investors are worried. They're
trying to roll back their bearish positions, which they mass
all summer. Bearish being that China generally is not demanding
as much oil as it had and they are the
number one importer of crude. But long story short, Biden
has come out and really discouraged Israel from striking Iranian

(16:13):
oil facilities. The reason for that being while it would
be bad for Iran, it would take ninety percent of
their crude exports off.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
One we wouldn't want to do that.

Speaker 5 (16:22):
Well no, let me get to the yes. No, but
you know what I mean. Like, so the reason the
reasoning for this, if they hit a carg island, ninety
percent of our ends creud wuldn't be able to pass through.
Not great, but the real concern is the retaliation from Iran,
and that would likely be the worst case scenario of
disruptions to the Straits of Vermuz. Twenty percent of the

(16:43):
world's crude passes through this. They would probably take it
offline in some capacity, and that would be a very
big problem for the global oil market.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
First lesson of this story is oil markets are based
on futures. That's why they're built in by the time
things happen. Been this projection in the future I think
is realistic, so not a surprise for America. I guess
this is why you have oil reserves for moments.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Like this exactly.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
And you know, we replenished our strategic petroleum reserves, which
is good. We needed to do that. Also, Biden doesn't
talk about this a lot. We're pumping oil more than
we have in any other time in our history. We're
pumping a tremendous amount of oil that has helped. That
has absolutely helped our oil needs. And frankly, given that
we're looking at Milton hitting making ground tomorrow, still recovering

(17:35):
from Aleen, there are going to be regional oil concerns.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
For sure.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
What about Milton after Helene by days and offshore drilling,
what kind of impact of these hurricanes.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Had too exactly, That's another one that could be a
very big problem as well. Now a lot of the drilling,
some of it is offshore, but a lot of it
is inland. And then obviously refineries. Refineries are usually at
the coast, particularly in the goalf. So that's another issue
as well.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Up what can people expect.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
Right now? We're seeing Brent and the markets aren't open yet,
but it went above eighty yesterday. It's floating around seventy
nine thirty three. We'll see what happens when the market's
open in a little less than an hour. I think
in the coming days we could see prices the increase
if the Middle East keeps if this regional war gets
bigger and badder, which they we've been predicting for a
year now. But here's the thing with war, Miked, I

(18:24):
don't have to explain this to you.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
You get it.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
Twenty four hours world life, everything can look completely different.
It's hard to say exactly what's going to happen. But
the futures markets for like you said, it's all based
on future projections, the oil markets, and they're they're concerned.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
I jotted down thirty six to seventy cents. How far
off you think I am a gallon? Oh?

Speaker 5 (18:44):
I think, I bet, I bet you're probably right. Yeah,
Like honestly, I think, yes, that sounds that sounds really right.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah. You know a lot, I pay a lot in
taxes on gases that are nowhere on the pump. I
pay a lot for boutique blends and a lot of
different things, you know what, thirty six to seventy cents
for a month or so. I'll pay that to eliminate
this threat to the world.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
But that's just me, Aaron Ray.

Speaker 6 (19:07):
Well, you have like I always say this, and I
really appreciate you have such really good dad knowledge, like
the type of stuff where're like, Dad, what does this mean?
And like they just say, like you have that like
something that only time on Earth. They call it like
the toes the time on Earth. The time on Earth.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Can So I'm your father figure now erin.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
Sorry, I didn't mean it that way.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
I'm going to break into George Michael. I'm going to
beat you. No, there's a difference between. You know, wisdom
comes from having lived, if nothing else, unless you're just
incapable of learning lessons throughout life. Knowledge can be gained
in a book, but it's kind of two dimensional wisdom,
and having lived is always three dimensional in real time.
So yeah, that's an advance. I got twenty years on you,

(19:48):
but uh.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
A lot you can be. You can be wise, be.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
You know, beyond your years too, and we need a
lot of wisdom as we navigate this war, and some
of the bumps along the road, not the least of
which is going to be oil prices. They are going
to go up. And I would be very, very shocked
if bb NETNYA who, when he does strike Iran doesn't
strike their oil capabilities. That's what's funding these attacks. So

(20:11):
it's it's gonna come, and it's gonna cost a little,
but for sure, I think, pardon the pun, there'll be
some bang for the buck. Aaron, great report.

Speaker 7 (20:21):
I did it.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
I didn't.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
I couldn't resist. I have a grea day. We'll talk
again tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
All right, forty two minutes after the off, you're just
waking up. All eyes are on Hurricane Milton. I was
a lot more worried yesterday. But this cool air sitting
over the inland, the inland that suffered from Helene, could
be saving us a little bit. As Milton has been
downgraded to a Category five, but his roy O'Neil reports
still a high four.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Just barely down from a Cat five now to a
Cat four.

Speaker 7 (20:53):
The message to residents along much of Florida's Gulf Coast
is unchanged.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Get to higher ground to day.

Speaker 7 (21:00):
Is the last full day for evacuations ahead of Milton's
landfall on Monday. Fleeing residents jammed highways, causing gridlock along
evacuation routes. This could be the first major hurricane to
hit Tampa Bay directly in more than a century.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Roroalneo Miami.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Well, Kyle Harris is going to get a free ride
with Howard Stern, a free ride with the View, and
I presume a really free ride with Stif and Colbert.
She did not get one with sixty minutes Mark Mayfield
haest Today in politics.

Speaker 8 (21:27):
Vice President Harris's defending the Biden administration's border policies.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
We have cut the flow of illegal immigration by half.
Should we have to hunt the flow oftentional by half?
But we need Congress to be able to act to
actually fix the problem.

Speaker 8 (21:46):
Interviewed on CBS sixty Minutes, she blamed former President Trump
for the increase in border crossings, saying he told his
buddies in Congress to kill a bipartisan border security bill.
On the topic of the war in Gasa, Harris reiterated,
and Israel has a right to defend itself and.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Howard does so.

Speaker 8 (22:00):
Matters the topic of guns came up and Harris revealed
she owns a glock and that she's fired it at
a shooting range, and former President Trump is sent to
hold a rare rally in California. He will hold a
rally Saturday in Coachella, where he's expected to attack Kamala
Harris over rising costs in her home state. Trump has
gone to the state in the past for fundraisers and
press conferences, although rarely for a rally with supporters. The

(22:22):
state is not expected to be heavily competitive in the
upcoming election.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
That's Politics. I'm Martney Field and this just in.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Vice President Knucklehead is friends with school shooters. Eli muss
says he plans more appearances in Pennsylvania to help Donald
Trump in his campaign.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Brian Shook report.

Speaker 9 (22:37):
Mosk spoke in favor of the GOP nominee during a
rally in Butler on Saturday, with Politico reporting that he
plans to attend more events in the swing state in
the upcoming month before the election. He will be backed
by America Pack, the pro Trump super pack. Musk helped
found I'm Brian Schuck.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Gospel singer and mother of Whitney Houston. Sissy Houston dead
at the age of ninety one. Kristin Mark says the story.

Speaker 10 (23:05):
Sissy Houston's family says she died at her home in
New Jersey on Monday while in hospice care for Alzheimer's.
In a statement, daughter in law Pat Houston says their
hearts are filled with pain and sadness following the loss
of the family matriarch. Houston, a Newer native, had a
successful solo career herself, winning two Grammy Awards. She also
performed with Elvis Presley and Aretha Franklin and was in

The vocal group sang backup for many artists, including niece
Dion Warwick.

Kristin Marx NBC News Radio.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
I guess I'll figure out how to blame this on
Israel too. But soon it's going to cost you more
to play Mega Millions lottery. Tammy Trihila reports.

Speaker 11 (23:43):
Starting in April, Mega Million's tickets will cost it five
dollars each. Other changes to the game include a prize
multiplier being built in and randomly generated on every ticket sold.
Mega Million says there'll be larger starting jackpots with the
top prize growing faster. That will lead to bigger jackpots
more frequently. The game will also no longer have break
even prizes. That means now that when a player wins

(24:05):
a prize, it will be for more than the cost
of the ticket. I'm tammy tr heel mark your calendar.
The DEA is holding a drug take back day this month.
Pre Tennis says the tails on the nationwide event.

Speaker 12 (24:15):

container without the label, old vitamins, or that medication that
just didn't work. The agency says they hold two collections

(24:37):

Speaker 2 (24:41):
I'm pre tennis, Hey, let's hear it for all the

of lost it at the end of the first half.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
This is your favorite President forty five, soon to be
forty seven.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
And my morning show is your morning show with a.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Guy I like to call Beacher Boy.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
It's not delivery, it's still join up.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Welcome to your boarding show for Tuesday, October eighth. We
always give the final story to Rory, and the story
is the story he's covering from Miami smartly from Miami Orlando.
Hurricane Milton strange, storm Cat five, now.

Speaker 9 (25:27):
A Cat four.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
What will it be when it makes landfall? Rory? Oh
my bad? Perhaps yeah, perhaps a Cat three fingers crossed,
maybe a two. But it's still going to be a
major hurricane.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
That's why the fact that so many people are evacuating
is good.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
To see a lot of traffic out there.

Speaker 7 (25:45):
Just keep in mind we're trying to get people to
evacuate to safety.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
They don't have to go to Atlanta and miss the storm.

Speaker 7 (25:51):
They just have to get away from the water, which
is the real, real killer in these scenarios. And there
are a lot of very good shelters that are just
a few miles away. For most of these people, they
don't need to be gemming up the road and going
hundreds of miles all right, how and we had.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
An issue earlier in the day with a lot of
gasoline shortages. We were hearing some of that gas is
being trucked in and the governor encouraging people there are
shelters within the state that are also safe.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah, and again so you don't have to go far.

Speaker 7 (26:19):
And when we say gas outages, yes, stations are going
to run dry because of the demand. And there's that
station in that one good spot between the two interstates
on the right side of the road. Look, will that
station run out of gas? Yes, But that's not necessarily
a shortage, you know. That just means that the suppli
has got to be moved around a bit. It's not
that there's no gas, but some stations may just run

(26:40):
dry because of popularity.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
So there are trucks, There is enough supply.

Speaker 7 (26:45):
We haven't seen any impediment to the supply chain that
moves gas across.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
The state of Florida. So it's out there.

Speaker 7 (26:52):
And again, now what happens after the storm, that could
be a different issue, depending on any damage to ports
and things like that, but yes, there is plenty of
gas right now, although can't rule out the occasional station
being down for a few hours waiting for a truck
to ride.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
You know, I brought up something with Aaron that I
haven't seen too. I have seen every story possible, but
I haven't seen much about Helene first and now Milton,
and disruption of offshore drilling has to be been a while.
Ride on those rigs a golf of Mexico.

Speaker 7 (27:22):
Yeah, well, in these locations so far, that's not really
where most of the oil fields are or the rigs.
Most of those are off the coast of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama.
A lot of that Big Bend area is prohibited from
having offshore drilling platforms because it's a testing facility for the.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Military.

Speaker 7 (27:44):
So there are not a lot of rigs in that
area from Tampa to Panama City, but there are more
so closer to Louisiana.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
All right, So number one, if we were talking two
o'clock in the afternoon yesterday, it was a Cat five
gaining strength.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
I was starting to get very concerned. The cool air.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Over the middle of the country has really served to
take the strength away from this storm. What are we
looking at in terms of storm surge half or less
than what Helena brought to the Big to the Bend area.
But we're still looking at a lot of rain and
a lot of It's some pretty strong winds even if
it's a Cat three.

Speaker 7 (28:23):
Helene had a lot of storm surge in part of
Tampa Bay. Again, imagine it as a horseshoe at the
open end at the bottom. Tampa Bay is on the
Tampa itself is on the north right, the upper right
part of that horseshoe. Saint Petersburg Clearwater on the left
side of that horseshoe.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
If you have this storm hit just the right spot.

Speaker 7 (28:41):
It could send eight to fifteen feet of Gulf Ocean
water up into that horseshoe, and then the water has
nowhere to go but to spill over the banks of
that horseshoe into Tampa, into Saint Pete into clear Water.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
With Helene, we had that storm go right on by.

Speaker 7 (28:57):
It actually missed a direct impact, but it did take
out the left side of that horseshoe with about five
to eight feet.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Of storm surge. So they're still recovering from that on
that side.

Speaker 7 (29:07):
Whereas the real concern is that this storm Milton could
put all this water into Tampa, the first direct impact,
as we said last hour, in more than a century,
and certainly Tampa has grown as a city in the
past one hundred and three years.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Oh Man, has it all right?

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Rory? Be safe. We'll talk again tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
We're expecting landfall either very very late tomorrow night or
into the early hours of Thursday morning.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
That's still holding.

Speaker 7 (29:31):
Yes, that's the landfall of the eye, but they're going
to start seeing conditions get a whole lot worse, probably
by noon, if not tomorrow morning.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Roy O'Neil with the very latest done Hurricane Milton, but
still a bullseye target on the Tampa area.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Thanks for your reporting. Where we'll talk again tomorrow. We're
all in this together. This is your Morning Show with
michaelon Hill. Juno
