Speaker 1 (00:00):
Previously on your Morning show with Michael dil Choho.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
We always give the final story to Rory O'Neil. Rory,
I gotta ask a question that's off topic. Sure, what's
gonna happen with TikTok today? I mean, TikTok has mentioned
that they're gonna enforce the ban starting today, but then
that really kind of translated to, well, no downloading of
new applications, but it shouldn't affect anybody that's already downloaded.

(00:26):
Then we have the Supreme Court releasing an opinion today,
We've got Donald Trump promising an executive order of course
that has to be enforced by con I mean, is
it going away or what? I don't even I can't
even figure it out. I do this for a living. Yeah,
practically speaking, no, it won't. It looks like TikTok Donald
Trump will supported enough. And in the statute it says

(00:48):
that if a deal is still in the works to
have a domestic ownership of TikTok, that's reason enough that
they can extend it for this deadline for ninety days.
And even the Biden administration says they won't enforce the
band that's supposed to take effect on Sunday, So I
would suspect that it's going to be business as usual,
especially come twelve oh one Monday. All right, So if

(01:09):
I say, it looks like the Biden administration's kicking the
can to the next administration, which is kicking the can
at least another ninety days.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
On technicality, everybody's kicking the can.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
So nothing right.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Now, right? That's Isn't that how Washington works these days
with budgets and everything else.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, now that you mentioned it. Also, we have an
update on the Israeli Hamasi's fire.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Boy.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I'll tell you what you know. Nobody really talks about it,
but the thirty to fifty formula, So Israel has to
release thirty terrorists prisoners for every one male Israeli that
gets released, and fifty terrorist prisoners for every one female.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
I mean, that doesn't seem fair. Yeah. The description of
some of these suspects was also pretty strained in some ways. Look,
Israel arrests an awful lot of people, and has they
really the two hundreds in the last time there was
a ceasefire back shortly after October seventh, So this is
something that has happened frequently. They've had these massive prison

(02:09):
release releases to try to answer the demands of Hamas,
and I mean that over the years, so here is
essentially just another one. Of course they haven't worked in
the past, but they're repeating it and trying again.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah, and we talked about this yesterday at great length.
But you know, and I guess the swapping of prisoners
begins this weekend, So you know, there's phase one, Phase two,
phase three, there's this weekend and coming days. But sooner
or later we're going to get a clearer picture of
just how many of those being released by Hamas really

(02:44):
exist alive.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Right. I think we're expecting three women to be released
on Sunday morning who are alive, and then in the
next six weeks they'll released the total of thirty three
of the more than one hundred who are still being
held captive, and as you said, it'll be a mix
of people who are dead and alive. There's incredible pressure
on NETT Yahoo from the people of Israel to get

(03:07):
this deal done, essentially saying, you know, release whatever prisoner
you have to do, whatever it takes to get the
hostages set free.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Coming up this weekend on the weekend dive, which can
be heard on many of your iHeartRadio stations and of
course anytime anywhere on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
So much to get to between the fires. This piece
deal also preview in the first one hundred days of
the administration, and we'll talk to author Scott Turow, the
man behind Presumed Innocent, you know the Harrison Ford movie.
Now he's got to Presume Guilty. That just came out
this week, so we'll talk to him about that new book.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Roy O'Neil, always working hard weekday and weekend. Appreciate you.
We'll talk again next week.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Miss a little, miss a lot, miss a lot, and
we'll miss you. It's your morning show with Michael del Churno.
