(00:21):
starting your morning off right.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
A new way of talk, a new way of understanding,
because we're in this together. This is your Morning Show
with Michael.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Gil Jordan.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Seven minutes after the hour on the Aaron streaming live
on your Rightheart radio app. This is your Morning Show.
I am Michael del Jorno. In just about twenty five minutes,
service will begin at Saint John's Church, a tradition. In
moments from now, though we'll never know, the President elect
will leave the Blairhouse in Washington, d C.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
Now.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I know it's twenty four degrees, and I know it
feels like fourteen degrees, and I know that weather might
have been one of the considerations in moving the inauguration inside.
But the Blairhouse has been completely covered. The porch, the door,
and the walkway and a tent all the way to
where the vehicles are. It's about a fifteen yard at
(01:23):
best walk to the curb. It was Is it that
cold a twenty four degrees and that necessary? Or is
it just some things are striking me more for security reasons,
But that's just me. I'm not there. Oh, Simon Conway
is Simon does mornings a WFLA and Orlando, Florida, which
(01:43):
I think Simon, if I have this right, we're airing
right now in Orlando, right while you're making your way. Correct.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
That is correct, Michael, We are on the air on
WFL Orlando right now. Thank you for so thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Wait a minute, make this straight. You said goodbye to
your listeners and now here you are again. I should
let you do the second.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
I did tell them I was coming back with you.
I did point that out to them.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yes, So now for the rest of America, I was
gonna say, for the rest of America, they're probably noticing
your accent. You are a citizen of the United States
by way of the Old Country and one very patriotic
American and talented talk shows who works both mornings and afternoons.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Yes, because you can never have too much of me
apparently so so, so there you go.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Apparently your wife can. That's why she likes you working
a double shift.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
She's right here with me in a minute.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Is this your first? Is this your first, by the way, inauguration, No,
it is not.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
I was here in twenty sixteen. I was in the
media center in twenty sixteen, which is way way, way
way back.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
This time.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
I was going to be really upfront thanks to a
particular senator that got me up front tickets. Now I
just have mementos and you know, historical items which will
be those tickets. But you mentioned security, and I don't
think you're wrong about this. There is definitely a heightened
awareness that Trump could be a target.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
And obviously that's true of all presidents, but.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
I think with Trump it's even more so. So I
do think this whole covered walkway from Blair House is
indeed because of security. I really do. I believe that
to be the case.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Yeah. I mean, I wasn't born yesterday, and I have
a gut for these things. And then I felt this
all along, that it was more about security than the weather.
And then when I saw the way they have the
Blair House tarped off, I was like, this is heightened security.
I wasn't born yesterday. And when you look back at
we talked about this earlier Lincoln, JFK. Reagan, Trump, popular
(03:52):
controversial presidents and for Donald Trump two assassination attempts as
a candidate. I don't care what anybody says. This is
heightened secure already that's being played out, and you know what,
thank God for it. All right, So, how many people
are actually going to be able to get inside where
the inauguration and the oath of office will actually take place?
Speaker 5 (04:11):
So women total around one thousand people, and if you
do go the full mat that really is not too
many extras because we got five hundred and thirty five
members of Congress. If they all go, that leaves right
five hundred so and there's a bunch of slabs and
everything else. And the very rich people, of course not me, because.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
You and I both work in radio. So by the.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Way, by the way, that five hundred dollars you borrowed
for meals and stuff, did it come?
Speaker 4 (04:42):
No?
Speaker 5 (04:43):
Yeah? No? Well brother, sorry? Done?
Speaker 6 (04:47):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Well?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
I told you I'll mix sauce for you when you're
in Nashville. All right, Well, listen, you don't have to
worry about being cold. You just don't get the great
seat you thought you were going to have. We're gonna
check back in with Simon who's in Washington, and find
out where he's at. Coming up at the bottom of
the hour. Be safe, me, friend, Jives. All right, let's
bring in Chris Walker, who is a Republican consultant and analyst,
(05:11):
and he's also a your Morning show regular contributor. It's
inauguration day, a historic victory for Donald Trump? Or is
it a victory for the Republican Party? And we went
through a lot of research. There's a lot of enthusiasm,
there's a lot of optimism heading into this second term
of Donald Trump. And David Sanadi and I were talking
about it seems like a different Trump forged in all
(05:32):
of the persecution, forged in assassination attempts, and if that
rally yesterday's any indication, it's a lot less about him
and more about us. But I got to ask you
the question, should Republicans be perceiving this as a party
victory or is this Trump's victory? And is the difference important?
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Hey, Michael, good morning, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
I mean, it is.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
A it's a Trump victory. It's pure and simple one.
You know, I'm here in Washington, and you know, I
was talking to Prinds about not some of this, like
there's a complete nobody's not wearing a Trump hat or
a Trump pen or a Trump you know, t shirt
or anything that just indicates their love of Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
It is a.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Celebration of him. It's a celebration of someone that people
would crawl over broken glass to vote for if they could.
I think it's the lawfair thing. I think it was obviously,
you know, the fassinationship talking about. It's like people love
this man in a way that you have a in politics.
It is a cultural and political phenomenon of one. And
(06:40):
so you know, while he is a Republican and has
done great things for the Republican Party, in terms of
like support for him, it is he is the eight
hundred pound guilla with which all things kind of gravitate.
So does that mean that he has unlimited authority, you know,
all on a TikTok band and other things like that. No,
(07:01):
but from a political standpoint, any Republican who kind of
get you know, to crosses the low line A lah
Liz Cheney, and and and opposes will have a Liz
Cheney fate to a certain degree, because this is this
is absolutely a celebration of him.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
All right, let's do the reverse of it. Was this
a Joe Biden slash Kamala Harris loss or a Democrat
Party issue loss.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
That's a great question. I would I kind of want
to say both. Maybe I'm cheating there by saying that,
but like, let's don't forget what the Democrat platform is
right now. It's it's boys swimming and you know, competing
against girls in fours. It's about runaway inflation, and it's
about incompetence that we're seeing in California relative to the
(07:51):
inability of them to even you know, keep water and reservoirs.
I mean, that's a Democrat issue. But Joe Biden, Kamala Harris,
you know, Joe Biden, as we're seeing with the Fauci
pardon and Milly Parton and the January sixth you know
committee Partons today, it's just it's just this corrupt, gross
institution of liberals that just you know, could not be
(08:15):
gone fast enough. And so while I think the liberal
completely overtaking of the of the Democrat Party in terms
of just lack of any type of of of community connection.
Biden Harris also have a lot to do with it,
just in terms of just their their utter corruption, you know,
(08:36):
while they've been in office, and their failure as leaders.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Republican consultant Chris Walker in our nation's capital for the
inauguration today, I guess what I'm spelling out is Donald
Trump is much more of an American president than a
partisan political president, and that may be for good reason.
I think both parties are in trouble. The Democrat Party
is in real life and death trouble. Look at these
numbers in this poll, Which of the following words or
(09:02):
phrases describes the way you feel about politics in America?
Disappointed Democrats seventy five percent, Frustrated Democrats seventy percent, burnt
out fifty five percent, angry forty six percent, optimistic only
ten percent, fired up only thirteen percent, inspired, and proud
(09:22):
only five percent. Now, the numbers are a little better
for Republicans, but they follow that same level. I think
the American people are done being pitted against each other
and fighting over lesser minor issues, and they're more about
being Americans and uniting and solving real problems at facing
American people. That's an opportunity Donald Trump conceies, and that
(09:45):
can make it a not a four year but a
twelve year equation potentially.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I think that's right. But again, you know, now putting
on my conservative constitutional hat, you know, there's a danger
there to kind of point to an individual and try
to seed unlimited political power. There are separation of powers
for a reason. There are you know, checks and balances
for a reason, and so you know, because that that
(10:15):
lead yields to the most public goods. So you know,
I'm very open and excited about all of the things
that Trump is doing. I can't wait for Tom Holman
to start to boarding people.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
I can't wait for you.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Know, Trump to you know, enact some of you know,
some of them for day one and day first hundred
day policies. I mean, it's it's a it's a truly
exciting time to turn the page from this disaster of
a Biden administration. But I you know, there there is
a piece of Congress that's still is very important to play.
There's still piece of the courts that's still important to play.
So I don't want to focus on that too much.
(10:48):
But I do think it's it's it's.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
A great way to because I was I wasn't suggesting
that executive power should become you know, cart blonde. What
I'm suggesting is games like that they were playing in
the Senate, partisan games with confirmations that felt very flat. Uh.
That the law, the loss of trust UH has has
played a huge effect. All right, Finally on the way
(11:13):
out the door. UH, I presume he knows he did it.
But Joe Biden goes ahead and pardons preemptively uh Fauci,
General Miley, as well as January sixth Committee members Shift
Liz Cheney and others. What do you make of that?
Speaker 3 (11:30):
I just it's it's political now practice it it yields
a public distrust of of epic for portion. These are
people that.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
You know deserve to be in jail, not in.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Uh not in uh not you know, protected by President
you know Fauci in particular. It's it's clear to me
that you just have to ask yourself, why, why did
but Biden's feel the need to do that.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
This may be the greatest the Midnight Pardon. This may
be the greatest American scandal in history, and the greatest
scandalous American pardon in history. And I just wonder if
everybody gets that on this Martin Luther King inauguration day,
and I doubt it. You have no idea what was
perpetrated against the American people through Fauci And he just
(12:22):
got a preemptive part before he was ever chol breathtaking that.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Comes into that is breadtaking. It's exactly right on top
of the scandal of them hiding his dementia for three years.
So I mean, this is a this is an administration
that has history, takes its time and looks at it
even more judiciously. We'll see the Bidens for who they are.
(12:46):
We'll see the Democrat you know, leadership for who they are,
and it is it is a corrupt, you know, detestable
uh execution the power that that we haven't seen in
a long time. And you know we could not get
to noon fast enough.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Yeah, no, kidd as President of like just left Blairhouse,
though you won't be able to see him heading to
Saint John's Church and then later to the White House
where he'll be greeted by President Biden. Final question, there
haven't been any leaks. I don't know if you've heard
any leaks, do have any idea what this inaugural address
will be and what the theme will be.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Well, we were talking to Frinds about that up here
in DC this week. I mean, obviously, I think Trump
his plan was probably more to speak to his crowd,
speak to you know, this is the man who feeds
off off of the people who love him.
Speaker 5 (13:39):
And I think the.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Fact that I got moved indoors is going to you know,
change the tone a little bit. I mean, it's not
going to be the people who voted for him. It's
going to be all of the insiders who, many of
whom work against him. And so, you know, I think
it will be a you know, a more kind of
reflective and more visionary speech and you know, kind of
(14:01):
a rally speech. So it's kind of just thinking he
would do being outside.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
So you know, one might but.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Yesterday, and I think we'll see it again today.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I was gonna say, but one might wonder he had
the rally on purpose for his peeps yesterday. Was it
always planned to talk to his peeps yesterday and the
American people today? Time will tell. I hope it addresses trust,
because that's the ultimate breach that has taken place, and
that is the ultimate hope and restoration in this second term.
(14:30):
Appreciate it. We'll talk, I think you know, we always
say as conditions warn't tomorrow will warrant. I want to
get your take on the inaugural address tomorrow as well.
Chris Walker, our Republican consultant, your morning show correspondent in
DC for the inaugurations date.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
It's your Morning show with Michael Del Johno.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
I presume that Donald Trump is making his way right
now from the Blair House to the vehicles that will
transport him to Saint John's church. It's about a four
minute drive, and you know, when you have secret service
escort even shorter. But the service begins at eight thirty.
It is now eight twenty five Eastern. I presume, though
(15:10):
it's completely blocked and you won't be able to see.
I believe for security reasons, he's probably making his way
to the vehicle even as I speak. All right, can't
have your morning show without your voice. Let's start with
David finally. Yes, yes, it could have been a lot worse. Right,
(15:34):
let's go. I like brevity. Chris is next.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
Ifauci gets a pardon, he's not been accused of any crimes.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Could you please explain.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
This to me?
Speaker 2 (15:47):
That's because he has, and it would have been investigated
and revealed. It's called a preemptive pardon, though they say
it has nothing to do with any admittance of guilt.
All evidence to the contrary. Right. I think you guys
can connect the dots to that. Ben gets the final
say here, good morning, Michael.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
This is being an OKAC. I am so thankful today
we can rejoice and praise God that this crisis, one
crisis after another, is finally over. Less President Trump than
everything he strives to do to health the American people.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
All right, or, as David would say, finally.
Speaker 7 (16:30):
Hey, everybody's John Ford Coley of England, Dan and John
Ford Coley and my morning show is your Morning Show
with Michael del Janno.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Hi, I'm Michael.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
I'd love to have you listen to your morning show
live every day. We're heard on great stations like News
Talk five point fifty k FYI and Phoenix News Radio
eleven ninety k e X in Portland and ten ninety
The Patriot in Seattle. Make us a part of your
morning routine. We'd love to have you listen line, but
in the meantime enjoyed the podcast.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
And he lived there. Let me give you the lay
of the land. If you were standing at the front
door of Saint John's Church facing directly straight ahead south,
you'd be looking right at the front door of the
White House, with only Lafayette Square Park between you and
the front door of the White House. So right now,
President elect Donald Trump is presumably any moment leaving the
(17:24):
Blair House, which is about right off of Pennsylvania Avenue.
He will go to the north of Lafayette Square and
then after service make his way to the front door
of the White House to be greeted by Joe Biden.
It is inauguration day, January twentieth, twenty twenty five. The
first hostages released by Hamas are receiving medical treatment in
(17:44):
Tel Aviv. TikTok went offline Saturday, back online yesterday. Are
they online to stay? They say they were store service
in the United States after receiving assurances from President elect
Trump and the vig Ramaswami all set to begin in
the Department of Government Efficiency is now potentially stepping down
(18:06):
to run for governor in the state of Ohio and
it is cold throughout central and eastern United States, and
especially in our nation's capital. For the inauguration day, twenty
four degrees feels like fourteen. That's where we find Simon Conway,
who is morning host of Good Morning Orlando as well
as afternoon host Don Who in Des Moines. Where are
(18:27):
you now, Simon on your journey to be in place
for the inauguration.
Speaker 5 (18:32):
I am in a hotel in Arlington and Virginia, and
I'll be headed out to a watch party very very shortly.
I think it's interesting that Trump has still not left
Blair House. He is now at least fifteen minutes late
in doing that, and we.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
Can speculate because that's fun Michael.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
Isn't it.
Speaker 6 (18:54):
Maybe he's after the pardons.
Speaker 5 (18:55):
He's like, I'm not having tea with Biden.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
Maybe that's what the delay is.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Well, that would be shocking if they change it that much.
It's only about a four minute journey to the church,
but the church service should be starting even as we speak.
I can't they have completely tarped off the Blairhouse. Is
that for the cold? By the way, there are some
people getting in the Secret Service vehicle, so maybe he
is making his way. Is it security? Is it cold?
(19:22):
We just don't know, but you and I are a
little suspicious that it's more security. The more we watch this.
Speaker 6 (19:27):
Patty, we are definitely suspicious of that.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Also, they are already making their way in to the
Capital arena. The line is going on literally for blocks plural.
Speaker 6 (19:41):
It only takes twenty thousand. There's a quarter of a.
Speaker 5 (19:44):
Million people in DC that are not normally in d C.
So it's going to be an interesting.
Speaker 6 (19:49):
Day, to say the very let me ask you this very.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Late, Yeah, he is very late. Simon Conway joining us.
He's in d C. So normally it's done on the
stage at the Capitol. You could have a sea of
people all the way down the mall. Now it's moved inside.
You broke down the numbers for us if every member
of Congress, we know there are a handful that are boycotting,
but if every member of Congress were to attend the
oath of office, that's five hundred plus of one thousand
(20:17):
are being allowed in. So where are all these Americans
that traveled for the inauguration going to be watching this?
Speaker 5 (20:23):
Well that's the issue because they've taken away the ability
to watch from the mall. They're not putting up any
video screens. They're not going to let.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
You do it.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
So you either have to find a watch party, which
is where I'm going, put on by a congress woman,
or you're going to end up in a bar with
TV screens. Frankly, if you can't get the Capital Arena.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
That's it.
Speaker 5 (20:47):
That's it. There's no nothing else going on. But it's sad.
You know, even if I hated the incoming president, this
is such an historic moment you've got.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
It's only the second time in our.
Speaker 5 (21:01):
History we've got a president who is being inaugurated. It's
to non consecutive terms, only the second time has ever happened,
and we haven't done the inside thing in forty years.
Speaker 6 (21:15):
The last one was Raised Reagan. I don't know that I.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Would boy call this.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
I think I would be there even if I hated him.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Well yeah, I mean it's being sold as a two
edged sword, so cold. The worried about people that would
be going to the hospital with exposure. That wouldn't explain
tarping the Blairhouse so that you could not see the
president go from the porch to the curb. I mean,
that's a very short walk. It's only twenty four I mean,
I say it's only twenty four, but twenty four degrees.
(21:44):
Come on, he could have made that short walk. It's
starting to feel a lot more like security. You brought
up great historic moments I always love, and it's when
you have a new president and they're greeted by the
current president at the front door of the White House.
That's a great moment. This one's more like, Honey, I'm
home again, sort of have a little bit of a
different feel. What are your favorite moments on a day
(22:05):
like today, and how will that be affected? Especially the parade?
Like what does all this weather do for the parade? Great?
Speaker 5 (22:11):
The parade we're being told is going to be at
the arena, and I'm trying to figure out how that
even works. Five vehicles was the last time I heard.
I'm hoping one of them is the garbage truck, but
it will be by vehicles, right, But we're down to
five vehicles in this parade. Everything is much much tied up.
(22:32):
A lot of people are going to stay in their
hotels and watch it from the lobbies, the TVs they've
got in the bars. I mean, it's definitely not what
people have planned like. Well, that is for sure, and
it's a shame, but it is what it is. And
you are correct in saying that Secret Service are getting
these vehicles ready. There's no doubt about that. Yeah, he's definitely.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Yeah, he's still running ten minutes late, no matter how
you cut it. All right, Well, Simon is not going
to be the inauguration day that you were expecting and
the proximity you were expecting or outside as you were expecting.
But it did bring us to meet and I'm very
grateful for that. And thanks for sharing your listeners with
us this morning. Go make a memory and go enjoy
history and we'll talk again soon. And don't forget you
(23:15):
got sauce in Nashville next time you visit.
Speaker 5 (23:18):
Absolutely we will look forward a sauce in that field.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
I can't wait to see a brit eat a little
you know, brush all and balls they see.
Speaker 6 (23:30):
Michael, I can't let you get away with that.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
An American.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
I went on a seven and a half year journey
to become American, and.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
I am not a hyphenated American either. I'm American.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Oh then you're gonna love being Italian for the day. Hey,
go have the time of your life, Simon. We'll talk
against soon. God bless you, my friend. It was great
meeting up. Bless you too, all right, if you're just
waking up. Top stories are exactly what you would think.
They'd beat. Hamas free three hostages and a ceasefire deal
in Israel.
Speaker 8 (23:56):
Idea of officials say the three Israeli women appeared to
be in good health after being released from captivity as
part of a seasfire deal in Gaza. Sunday's release is
part of the first phase of the agreement between Israel
and Jumas over the next six weeks. It will involve
the release of thirty three Israeli hostages in exchange for
nineteen hundred Palestinian prisoners.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
At least two.
Speaker 8 (24:15):
Americans are among the hostages expected to be released in
the coming days.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
I'm Mark Meaefield. President elect Trump may begin mass deportations
in the first hours of his presidency. Scott Carr has
more from Washington.
Speaker 9 (24:26):
Trump soon to be appointed Borders are Tom Holman tells
Fox News deportation flights could start taking off during his
first week in office.
Speaker 7 (24:34):
I mean, we have got over seven hundred thousand go
legal amazon in the United States with final orders removal.
Speaker 9 (24:42):
The Wall Street Journal reports the incoming administration intends to
kick off a large scale immigration raid the day after
Trump takes office. In particular, it's expected to target the
city of Chicago with help from as many as two
hundred immigration and Customs enforcement officers.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
I'm Scott Carr in Washington. Vik Ramaswami is expected to
leave the Department of Government Efficiency. CBS News is reporting
the appointed DOGE member will be leaving to run for
governor in the state of Ohio. That's me editing copy
(25:20):
that was far too long. But this is something that's
been rumored that Avik would leave DOZE and run for governor.
It looks like it's closer than we'd think. TikTok was
first gone, then it came back. What's up with that?
Lisa Carton has the latest.
Speaker 10 (25:32):
In a statement release Sunday, the company said Trump assured
its leadership they would face no penalties for continuing to
provide Americans access to the app. The statement also said
the company will work with a drop administration to preserve
access to TikTok in the US. Trump has said he'll
likely extend Sunday's deadline for Chinese owned TikTok to sell
(25:53):
to a US company or face a ban. I'm Lisa Carton.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
The TSA says it intercepted nearly sixty seven hundred fives
at airport security checkpoints last year. Tammy Trihilo has the details.
Speaker 11 (26:04):
About ninety four percent of those firearms were loaded. The
total is down slightly from twenty twenty three, when a
record setting number of guns was stopped from being brought
on commercial flights. The airports that had the most firearms
discovered include Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Dallas Fort Worth International,
Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
I'm Tammy Trio. Well, it seems like forever ago they
were playing college football. It seems like more than two weeks.
But we'll finally get a national champion. Tonight it's the
eighth seed Ohio State Buckeyes thirteen to two taking on
the seventh seed Notre Dame Irish at fourteen and one.
That'll be from Atlanta on ESPM. The NFCAFC Championship games
are set in the AFC. The Bills will be at
(26:48):
Kansas City Old that'll Chestnut in the NFC. The newcomers
the Commanders will be taking on the Eagles in Philadelphia.
Chiefs twenty three fourteen over the Texans on Saturday. Lions
outscore by the Commanders, but it was really five turnovers
cost him the game forty five to thirty one. Eagles
survived the Rams twenty eight to twenty and the Bills
hung on twenty seven to twenty five. Three turnovers by
(27:10):
the Ravens didn't help. On the hardwoods, the Bucks beat
the seventy six ers, thunder upped against the Nets, King's
Big over the Whiz, and Lakers lost to the Clippers
on Ice one. Game of Your Morning show interest Red
Wings four to one over the Dallas Stars. Birthdays today,
second to be on the Moon, Buzz Aldrin ninety five
years old today, Real Times Bill maher Is sixty nine,
(27:30):
actor Lorenzo Lamas sixty seven, and former South Carolina Governor
Niki hay Nickily remember that old drop you used to
love to play me there It is fifty three years
old today. And if it's your birthday, Happy birthday. Were
so glad you were born, And thanks for waking up
with your morning show. This is your Morning Show with
(27:52):
Michael de Tono. Like most of you, I'm very much
looking forward to getting off the air and watching history
as it takes place. Milanya, the soon to be First Lady,
and President elect forty seven Donald Trump have made their
way into Saint John's Episcopal Church again. That is directly
north of the front doors of the White House, separated
(28:12):
only by Lafayette Park. This was a big discussion among
my daughters and my wife. What will Malania wear? Will
she wear? Wore baby blue last time, will it be
red this time? White? This time she arrived, Jill should
be grateful that they're not having tea. She almost was
like a military officer. Stunning is the only word I
(28:34):
can think of. It's a black hat with a white
lining at the bottom. She's in a white shirt and tie,
black gloves, a full black coat. I would presume that
there is probably a black suit under that, or maybe
a white suit. Time will tell when we get indoors
(28:55):
for the oath of office. But the president running about thirteen
minutes late when they arrived at Saint John's Church. They
got in about an hour to play with. Although you
heard Simon Conway say, unless, of course, he's planning on
skipping the White House. We always give the final story
to Roring, and we really had two stories today. One
was TikTok went away Saturday, came back Sunday. Ry get
(29:16):
him up to speed on how long we think TikTok
is back for.
Speaker 12 (29:19):
Yeah, it seems that this could be permanent in all
practical terms. The President elect has said that he wants
to find a way to keep the company operational, perhaps
find some domestic sharing relationship that there's a fifty percent
ownership stake here in the US and in China. That's
all still to be worked out, but clearly you've got
the president of TikTok at the inaugural today. I think
(29:42):
the President elect has had a change of heart about
whether or not the platform should should be allowed to
continue here in the States.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
And as scheduled, the first exchange of hostages and prisoners
took place yesterday. The first hostage is released by Hamasa
receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Tel Aviv. The
very latest on them and the more to come. Where
does things stand right?
Speaker 12 (30:04):
You know, we only just started phase one of this
process that lasts at least six weeks.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
Do we hope to get.
Speaker 12 (30:10):
To phase two in a more lasting piece deal, because
if you get to phase two, then all the hostages
are released, including some members of the military as well.
But it's a positive sign things seem to be progressing.
And this is the first with thirty more hostages expected
to be released over the next six weeks, so long
as this cease fire holds.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
And just when we thought today we'd be talking about TikTok,
the hostages, the rally yesterday in our nation's capital, the
oath of off dancing, and Theatril address that is to
come the dancing, comes this late move by the Biden
administration to preemptively pardon Anthony Fauci, General Millie as well
(30:52):
as some January sixth Committee members to go along with it.
What do you make of these?
Speaker 12 (30:56):
The committee and the Committee and the staffs as well.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Yeah, that's it's interesting.
Speaker 12 (31:02):
Apparently the President was reluctant to issue these afraid that
it would suggest that they were guilty of some sort
of wrongdoing. Apparently that's what the White House is trying
to message this morning. But yeah, I think it's going
to make a lot of people very frustrated by this
that want to see more accountability about the actions of
both General Millie and doctor Fauci, and okay, the political
(31:24):
stuff of January sixth Committee action as well.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
So this may be one of those careful what you
ask for us, right, because if they investigated Fauci, if
they had hearings with Fauci, he could have taken the
Fifth Amendment. But now that he can't face anything, there's
really will he have to go ahead and testify maybe
or be compelled to tell the truth or to speak,
(31:47):
or otherwise he could have refused. I don't know how
that all plays out, if they move forward with the investigator,
or maybe we just let everybody see it for what
it is and move on. But that's yeah, well you'd
be compelled to testify.
Speaker 12 (31:58):
All this does is protect you from criminal any consequence, right, right,
So you know, if Congress says you have to testify,
and he said been to testify, I suggest he likely
would comply. And then I suppose you'd only get in
trouble if you lied to testifying to Congress, because then
if you said I killed the Littenburgh baby, they couldn't
(32:22):
prosecute you for it, but you get in trouble if
you lied about it, then it claims you didn't appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Rory, we'll talk again tomorrow. We got a minute and
a half left. I will say this, we'd have time
to talk about it. I think I think Troy Aikman
was as frustrated as a lot of Americans watching that game.
I don't want to suggest that all the gaming has
led to some really shady things in the National Football League,
but if it did, that Chiefs game may have been
as ugly as it's ever been. I mean, there were
(32:49):
some really really strange calls to decide that game the others.
You know, I'll leave it up to you as to
whether or not you think you know Philadelphia won that
game as much as the Rams lost it, or really
last night, did Buffalo win or in the end to turnovers,
drop catches, going for two and failing across the Ravens.
(33:11):
But no matter how you cut it, you got the
Bills and the Chiefs in Kansas City in the AFC Championship,
and then you got the Commanders trapping to Philadelphia to
take on the Eagles in the NFC Championship. There was
a meme a while ago that said what America is wanting,
and it was Buffalo and Lions what America is likely
to get the Eagles and the Chiefs. That's still very
(33:32):
much alive, and we have our national championship tonight. Stage
is set. You got Notre Dame and Ohio State, as
we documented in our Platinum Card hour. If Noster del
Jono speaks, it says Donald Trump is going to win
with three hundred and twelve electoral votes, take it to
the bank. If Noster del Jono speaks and says, look out,
(33:53):
it's gonna be a Ravens. I said Ravens in Grams
would be the super Bowl, and of course both lost.
I'm always wrong. I'll tell you. I see Ohio State
in a blowout tonight against Notre Dame, which is great
news for everybody that want to see the Irish end
(34:14):
up champions. All right, for a lot of you, I
think David said it best. Finally, not without Shenanigan. But
we survived four years and we're about to have a
new president and a new hope and a new direction.
So I think it goes without saying, go seize the day,
Go make some memories, make a difference in someone's life,
(34:35):
and cherish your own. Will see you tomorrow morning, five
Central six Eastern We're all in this together. This is
your Morning Show with Michael nil Joano
