Speaker 1 (00:00):
Previously on your Morning show with Michael dil Choonho.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
We always give the final story to Rory, and we
really had two stories today. One was TikTok went away Saturday,
came back Sunday. Roy, get him up to speed on
how long we think TikTok is back for.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Yeah, it seems that this could be permanent in all
practical terms. The President elect has said that he wants
to find a way to keep the company operational, perhaps
find some domestic sharing relationship that there's a fifty percent
ownership stake here in the US and in China. That's
all still to be worked out, but clearly you've got
the president of TikTok at the inaugural today. I think

(00:38):
the President elect has had a change of heart about
whether or not the platform should should be allowed to continue.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Here in the States and as scheduled. The first exchange
of hostages and prisoners took place yesterday. The first hossage
is released by Hamasa receiving medical treatment at a hospital
in Tel Aviv. The very latest on them and the
more to come. Where does things stand right?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
You know, we only just started phase one of this
process that lasts at least six weeks. Do we hope
to get to phase two in a more lasting piece deal,
because if you get to phase two, then all the
hostages are released, including some members of the military as well.
But it's a positive sign. Things seem to be progressing.
And this is the first with thirty more hostages expected

(01:23):
to be released over the next six weeks, so long
as this cease fire holds.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
And just when we thought today we'd be talking about TikTok,
the hostages, the rally yesterday in our nation's capital, the
oath of off dancing, and the curl address that is to
come the dancing, comes this late move by the Biden
administration to preemptively pardon Anthony Fauci, General Millie as well

(01:49):
as some January sixth Committee members to go along with it.
What do you make of these?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
The committee and the Committee and the staffs as well. Yeah,
that's it's interesting. Apparently the President was reluctant to issue
these afraid that it would suggest that they were guilty
of some sort of wrongdoing. Apparently that's what the White
House is trying to message this morning. But yeah, I
think it's going to make a lot of people very

(02:13):
frustrated by this that want to see more accountability about
the actions of both General Millie and doctor Fauci, and okay,
the political stuff of January sixth Committee action as well.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
So this may be one of those careful what you
ask for us, right, because if they investigated Fauci, if
they had hearings with Fauci, he could have taken the
Fifth Amendment. But now that he can't face anything, there's
really will he have to go ahead and testify maybe
or be compelled to tell the truth or to speak
were otherwise he could have refused. I don't know how

(02:46):
that all plays out, if they move forward with the investigator,
or maybe we just let everybody see it for what
it is and move on.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
But that's yeah, well, you'd be compelled to testify. All
this does is protect you from a criminality consequence, right, right,
So if Congress says you have to testify, and he
said pen to testify, I suggest he likely would comply.
And then I suppose you'd only get in trouble if
you lie to testify it to Congress, because then if

(03:13):
you said I killed the Lindenbergh baby, they couldn't prosecute
you for it, but you get in trouble if you
lied about it and it claims you didn't appreciate it, Rory,
We'll talk again tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Miss a little, miss a lot, miss a lot, and
we'll miss you. It's your morning show with Michael del Churno.
